Barbecue restaurant
American restaurant
Bar
Meat BBQ is a popular dining spot in Lansing, MI that has been serving up Southern-style barbecue for about 10 years. The restaurant started small but has since expanded to accommodate the growing crowds of barbecue enthusiasts. With a larger dining room and an original kitchen unit, Meat BBQ offers slow-smoked barbecue classics and creative homemade sides for both dine-in and takeout.
Sat at the bar and had amazing service from the bartender, she made a lovely lavender lemonade cocktail. We ordered pulled pork, wings, french fries, mac n cheese, bbq pit beans, and spicy creamed corn. It was a lot of food for two people, but we wanted to try multiple sides. The spicy creamed corn lived up to its name, and the mac n cheese might be my favorite - next to the fries. I really loved the pork too, tried it with every sauce - a must. Wings were good but a tad chewy, I would like to try the brisket and the ribs next time. Everything was great down to the cornbread, will be back for more.
Hannah M — Google review
Went right when they opened at 11 so there was no concern of being out of any meats or sides. The cream corn is decently spicy. The fries are crispy and delicious. The cornbread is very buttery, a bit bland maybe need honey. The Mac and cheese isn't bad, but would be best with meats mixed in. Lots of BBQ options, but overall the best is the traditional one. Everything was filling and good. Can't complain about any meat being dry or bland. You get plenty of food for the price, so if you order an appetizer, be prepared to take home about half of whatever you order for an entree.
Amanda L — Google review
Stopped in for lunch at Meat BBQ and it was outstanding. The atmosphere has that perfect balance of laid-back and lively — a true local gem. I ordered the Build Your Own Mac & Cheese with sausage and chorizo, and it was incredible — creamy, spicy, and served in a skillet literally the size of a small pizza. Easily one of the best macs I’ve ever had. My wife got The Chin-Gorilla sandwich (pulled pork, house pimento cheese, grilled pineapple, fried onions, and bacon) and couldn’t believe how good it was. Huge portions, fast service, and every bite packed with flavor. Definitely one of the best BBQ spots around Lansing — worth every calorie.
Alex M — Google review
When I tell you this is some of THE best BBQ I've ever had....I mean it. And I have it everywhere, Texas, KC, Tennessee, everywhere. This place is up at the top. We got the brisket meat plate. Smoked Wings meat plate and the 1/2 rack pork spare ribs meat plate. EVERYTHING was amazing. Even the sides. Brisket was perfect, great smoke flavor ( even nicer smoke ring ) tender, juicy. Wings had great smoke flavor, nice and perfectly crispy but not burnt, juicy and flavorful. The ribs were top notch!! Great crust from the rub, also perfect smoke flavor, not dry but not fall off the bone ( aka over cooked in my opinion) get that perfect bite. The mac n cheese was REALLY good, had a little kick to it which I loved, but not over powering. The beans had a perfect balance of sweet and smoky flavor. And if all of that isn't enough, the atmosphere and location is the cherry on top. Lots of stuff to do close by even if you have a wait. We will be back....SEVERAL TIMES.....SOON.
Nick L — Google review
The Good: Thin paper towels on each table and an organizer of house sauces and ketchup. Ranch is available but not bleu cheese. Wings were flavorful and fatty The Better: All entrees came out hot and at the same time. Single-occupant bathrooms. Options to eat inside, covered ceiling with open windows, or open air patio style. The Mac and cheese was better than anticipated, with thick real cheese sauce and soft noodles. The Best: Warm and welcoming server who knew the menu well. The brisket was tender and presented as a slab so you get all the best parts (fatty, crusty, juicy, etc.) The fries were ridiculously tasty- crispy and seasoned
J. A — Google review
Great barbecue place that we visit every time we're in town. The atmosphere is very dark and dive bar style. We always enjoy our BBQ dishes. Love the different barbeque sauses you can try. Many beers on tap. Typically have a sports game on TV. We always come for lunch and never too busy.
Shannon M — Google review
Amazing wings! Definitely recommend either the hot garlic and black magic sauces. Best fries in Lansing hands down! Love the music they play. If you’ve never been here put it on your list! You will not be disappointed.
Marty M — Google review
Meat BBQ is a pretty good BBQ restaurant! The food is pretty fairly priced for BBQ. There are a lot of good menu options and sides as well. The sauces were all a bit interesting and pretty good! Overall, I enjoyed it. I will say that my dinner wasn’t a lot of food for the price in my opinion, but also, I’m a big eater so that could just be a personal thing. Definitely would recommend though!

Steak house
Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of downtown Lansing, Bowdie's Chophouse offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully marries rustic charm with an elegant ambiance reminiscent of lower Manhattan bistros. This steakhouse is dedicated to providing top-notch service and high-quality ingredients, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. The menu features an array of international dishes, including escargot and ceviche, alongside hearty soups, fresh salads, and a variety of seafood options.
Quite simple of all the places I have ever attended and reviewed this may have been the best overall food and experience and it’s not even close! From the amazing service making me feel like home (if home was a mansion with ten butlers and personal chefs) to the insanely delicious food! I ordered a roasted half chicken which if not in the proper setting I would have eaten down to the bone marrow. The lobster tail experience alone was worth the price of admission. The server brought it over then with two forks in one hand while the other had a baby knife he cut the tail out of the shell and prepped it with butter on another plate then served it to me!! Insane!! The only down side was the toast they gave in the beginning as their version of bread and butter. Otherwise there was zero part of the experience that was not perfect. Beware if parking out back the spots are weirdly angled and then the back entrance brings you through the actual back kitchen and you have to walk through a tight space to get to the front desk. No reservation be prepared to wait for the bar.
Brandon N — Google review
Way smaller than the Grand Rapids' location, this Bowdie's was way more quaint, intimate and cozy. The food was just as delicious and the drinks were just as strong. They offer a similar menu, but also have a store specific item, such as the Duck Ravioli. Our server explained that Lansing was the reason for being able to open the Grand Rapids, and you could see why. The wait staff were all very friendly and attentive, making it a perfect spot for our date night.
Renata C — Google review
We were recently there for a celebration dinner, neither of us had been there previously. We were told it was the best steak in Lansing. After our experience, I have to agree. I had the fillet, and it was perfection. This place is not large, very few indoor tables, so get a reservation. When we were there, my only note would be that the place is not a quiet place for dinner. The environment is lovely, but a little louder than I expected. The food was so good that I didn't really notice until the end. Definitely recommend, but with reservations ahead of time.
Pat H — Google review
We went here on a recommendation from a friend for our 14th wedding anniversary. It was definitely an amazing place. It is quite small, though, so you must have a reservation because the tables fill up fast. I definitely recommend, but an FYI: it's on the high end for pricing.
Amanda W — Google review
I’m taking one star off because the escargot didn’t meet my expectation at all (unlike the ones I had in Paris) 🥲 but filet mignon & fries are great. The atmosphere is quite nice but the tables are close to each other and your neighbors can be loud sometimes.
Lin L — Google review
Ok so the positive first! They have an amazing ribeye steak. It is flavorful and cook to perfection. I also tried the bone marrow appetizer but, I couldn’t eat it because of the way it was prepared. It was running and I couldn’t stomach the look. Lastly, I tried truffle fries that were just ok nothing to brag about and, the salad was cooked and served warm. Maybe the put the lettuce on the grill or something. Way too much parmesan cheese. If yr looking for intimate and quiet then this is NOT the place. It is very noisy and not much space. Seems like many local come a s drink here and hang out. I’d get a take out next time.
Wendy B — Google review
This is the go to place in the greater Lansing area if you're looking for fine dining and great a steakhouse. food is always spot on. The lobster mac and cheese the truffle fries are excellent. The fillet is always perfect!
Ahmed S — Google review
PHENOMENAL…. but…. I will start off by saying… this place is tiny. So, if you try to do a walk in, odds are you won’t get in. Tried that twice, no luck. Finally was able to get in with a reservation and I was not disappointed! You absolutely MUST get steak here. Do not get sea bass or chicken - go for what they are known for!!!!! Ignore the reviews about all the other items! The Cowboy Ribeye was phenomenal!!! Seriously perfection. We got bleu cheese and the horseradish sauce to garnish our steaks, but the steaks were juicy and seasoned so well, that we barely touched the garnishes. So don’t get garnishes! To make the experience even better, get the Brussels with Pork Belly as a shareable side. I could do without the belly, but the dish was tasty together. Lastly, the Nightcap drink was delish and hit the spot. I went in not thinking too much given the small space and the fact that the table next to us was a group of very loud business men that were so loud it was hard to speak at my own table (why I gave 4 stars for atmosphere.) They left toward the beginning of our dinner, thankfully. Regardless of that, I walked out with much delight from my experience. I will definitely be returning when I’m in the steak mood. But come hungry because the steaks are large. Service was wonderful as well! We were told it might take a bit of time for our steaks after ordering since they are large, but it didn’t feel long at all. Highly recommended!

Bistro
New American restaurant
Restaurant
EnVie is a popular and modern French bistro located in downtown Lansing, offering a rotating menu and bespoke cocktails. The restaurant provides an elegant French-American-inspired dining experience with cozy seating options near the fireplace or in semi-private areas. The menu features fresh, quality ingredients and handcrafted cocktails, catering to various preferences from casual classics like burgers to more sophisticated dishes such as pistachio-crusted rack of lamb and seafood risotto.
Went for our 21st Wedding Anniversary. Called and made reservations, and let them know of the special occasion when they asked. We were greeted both at the door and by our waitress wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Our table was set with a card signed by the staff wishing us the same - that memento came home with us. We also got a complementary glass od sparking wine each for a Toast. The small gestures went a long way. Staff overall was very attentive and very good at their jobs. Food was excellent. We had the crab cake appetizer, the Famous Bowl and Pork Belly entrees, and Tiramisu desert. All were outstanding. We will definitely be back.
Steven A — Google review
The food was top-notch. I loved both my salad-- so fresh and yummy with a delicious dressing-- and my sumptuous braised short rib. The only drawbacks are the loud dance music (which doesn't match with the restaurant) and only cake for dessert-- in a French restaurant?!
Vinka V — Google review
Very delicious, high end restaurant downtown super close to the capitol. Had the delicious sea bass & my husband had the short ribs, I tried it, perfect comfort food. Drinks tasty, & we also tried the pecan pie for dessert. All so delicious. We got there around 6 & it wasn't too busy, but as time went by, it got busier & busier. I gave the service 4'stars, not to dis the server, but unfortunately they must have been short staffed because the poor girl was working the whole restaurant pretty much by herself, she did have help from another girl, but I hope they get more staff soon.
Monique P — Google review
Phenomenal place. I put in reservation by email and told them what I wanted and it was set just the way I requested. After telling them of my anniversary, they went the extra mile and an envelope was on the table simply saying thank you and signed by all the staff. Small things matter, well done! I had the Asian chicken sandwhich and it was amazing. My girl had the shrimp salad. The shrimp were a little spicy and the dressing a little too lemony but it was homemade. Before hand we had the bread and cheese dip appetizer which was so creamy and good with melted cranberries on top. The prices for such a nice place were reasonable. It gets into the higher ranges if you buy alcohol of course. Keep up the good work, compared to my reservation experience at Coopers Hawk East Lansing, you all are a step above.
Grant F — Google review
My husband and I had dinner at En Vie this evening to celebrate our anniversary. It was phenomenal!!!! Making the reservation via email was so convenient and we received a response within an hour or so of our initial email asking if we were celebrating a special occasion and if we had any food allergies. Upon arrival our table was ready for us right away and they had placed a happy anniversary card on the table. We also were given a complementary champagne toast for the occasion. Our food was amazing. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The wines that my husband and I had were great as well. The dessert was beyond amazing. I had the biggest most decadent piece of chocolate cake ever. The service was amazing as well. The waitress that we had was very friendly, answered any questions that we had, and was very prompt. We barely had to wait at all for anything. They also kept our water glasses full and checked in with us multiple times to make sure everything was to our liking. It was a great dinner experience and a perfect place to have a dinner dare. I loved the atmosphere of the place too.
Samantha — Google review
The atmosphere is always so chill here and it’s my go-to for amazing cocktails and decadent food. It’s just fancy enough that I can be adventurous without it being too fancy to understand the dishes. Always recommend it to anyone looking for a great vibe and some of the best food in Lansing.
Zee S — Google review
Service was rather disappointing tonight. We ate our entire appetizer before she came back around to ask how we were and to take our dinner order. Dinner was okay. The red wine deduction that they had on the famous steak bowl was a little too much. Order to drink from their spirit-free menu and didn't care for it and sent it back with no problem, which I appreciated. We'll definitely be back. Just was surprised at the lack of attention. Normally we get above and beyond.
Gina — Google review
Great spot in Lansing to have a dinner! Atmosphere was great, service is friendly and fast! And the food was delicious! We had a salad with a steak and Brussels sprouts, and all tasted good and the way the meat was cooked was just on point. It was quite busy on a Saturday evening, but we were able to get seats at the bar with no waiting, so it was nice. Will recommend this place!

The Soup Spoon Café is a charming and vibrant eatery that serves up delicious homemade soups, along with a diverse menu of comforting homestyle dishes and regional beers. It's a great spot to enjoy a cozy breakfast or lunch, offering a delightful dining experience rather than just a meal. With its inviting atmosphere and flavorful offerings, it's definitely worth a visit for those looking for an authentic culinary experience in Lansing.
Soup Spoon Café delivers a delightful dining experience. Service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The atmosphere is fun with just the right touch of quirky charm. The menu offers a wide variety, making it hard to choose (in the best way). Everything we tried was well-prepared and delicious. We left happy and already planning our next visit.

This is an interesting place. My breakdown is as follows. Food wise, there are choices for everyone. The important thing to remember is that it is a café. I believe some items are very basic and others exceptional. I tried the seafood soup and it was one of the best I've ever had and is one of maybe two or three they sell year round others are rotational. Yet my club sandwhich though tasty was basic. The service is very good for how busy it can get. I advise getting reservations especially on the weekend. The atmosphere is what makes it a popular place. It is well lit and the wall color schemes made me feel like I was in an Italian wine cellar with whites and light browns. A great place for wine and conversation or catching up with a friend.
Grant F — Google review
If you are near MSU this is a great spot for comfort food. The Ruben sandwich was very good. It was not piled high with corned beef which made it more enjoyable. The staff are no nonsense and right to the point. Great looking menu with lots of choices.
Food_from_the_usa — Google review
We love the Soup Spoon. It is a local restaurant featuring made from scratch entrees. Their breakfast is awesome and so is pretty much all of their food. We were in for lunch. They also have a nice drink menu and I got a banana bread old fashioned. A nice twist on a classic drink. Their soups are so good and so are their sandwiches.
Andy S — Google review
A place where everyone is treated like family and the food brings you comfort! Immediately upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with warm smiles and a great conversation with the manager/owner, who ended up bringing us a taste of Greek liquor! Our server was efficient and kind, constantly checking in on us. Food-wise, it was phenomenal. The seafood chowder was delicious and my seasonal pasta was super filling and overall a top pasta dish. Could not recommend this place more for a stop into Lansing, whether you’re here to visit MSU or are just passing through! It’s a place that makes everyone feel like they’re home and the food/service certainly reflects that!

Heard about the road closure in front affecting business, so I decided to eat there show some love their way. Clearly, while less crowded than the time I went four years ago, business is still doing good-and so is their food. Had a San Fran Bennie (Benedict) and did not disappoint. Eggs cooked perfectly with perfectly seasoned hollandaise alongside a thin hash brown made with a little extra crunch, just how I like it. The chefs know what they’re doing. While I rarely go to restaurants-this is a gem of a restaurant in Lansing (do not miss!)

Our lunch Rueben was sparse on meats and cheese, but flavorful overall. The menu itself seems busy but on inspection none seemed overly appetizing or seasoned in a way that piqued my appetite. Very clean and brightly lit. Nice, capable servers. Plenty of refills of water and tea.

Such a unique experience for the Lansing area! The customer service is top-notch and the food is delicious. We were there for the Pixar night last week and really loved it.

Prior to my elevated opinion, let me tell you a little bit about what qualifies me as Lansing’s Premier Food Palette Guide: I’ve eaten at unlimited, drive-ins, and dives locally and throughout the country. I’ve also eaten at Oteque (**) in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, Cocina Hermanos Torres (***) in Barcelona, Spain, and most recently, predicted Mixtli (*) in San Antonio, TX earning its 1st, and San Antonio’s ONLY Michelin Star. So if there’s one thing I know - it’s good food… Side Note: (*)(**)(***) <— those are Michelin Stars 😉…start again from the top of you need to. Now I’ll get to it! We ate at Red Haven for their ‘Valentine’s Day Tasting Menu’. I’d eaten here before so I knew it was adequate for the occasion. It was a compact menu with wine pairings (honestly I wasn’t feeling any of the pairings, def probably could have done without, but I’ll stick to talking food). Notably, in the past, I’ve never had a beet dish that was satisfying, but the Beet-Citrus Salad [beet, blood orange, walnut, feta, micros] was just that! Something about how the beet flavor mixed with the feta and citrus from the blood orange just worked for me. Additionally, the Baked Camebert en Croute [camebert, pastry, raspberry, pistachio, brioche], and Braised Short Rib [short rib, truffle, brussels, red wine] did not disappoint. However, undoubtedly, the star of the show was the Seared Scallop [scallop, caviar, cream, pasta, fennel]. This plate was absolutely Michelin caliber!! After this experience, I can confidently say that Red Haven has quickly solidified itself as one of the top 3 fine dining restaurants in the Lansing area (and I don’t know what the other two are). Rating: 9/10 Highly recommended!

This restaurant has been on my bucket list for some time and I finally can check it off! We had a great date night on a Wednesday when they were offering a specialty 4-course mushroom dinner. The atmosphere, service, AND food were top-notch. The dishes were one of a kind, used stellar ingredients, and were presented beautifully. It was a unique yet delicious experience.

One of the best dining experiences in the Greater Lansing area. Red Haven hosts themed dinners that you can reserve attendance to from their website. I've been to multiple now and it's fun to try new and impressive food. My favorite dinner was 'Pie Night', a four course meal based on pie. The pictures below are from 'Up North Night', a celebration of Northern Michigan favorites. Just phenomenal and creative. Do yourself a favor and save up for a fancy but relaxed dinner.
Randy F — Google review
Red Haven has a modern feel and good quality cocktails and food. The duck stew was amazing! The tacos were a bit overcooked and extremely dry, but the waitress brought out some sauce that helped with that. Overall, it was a good meal and a nice place.

Beautiful food, great house wine—motivated service. Loved this place! They accommodated us to sneak in without a reservation and that was a gift in a very full dining room. Gorgeous presentation. We’ll be back!

Not only did we have amazing service but the food was phenomenal. We had the shrimp burger, walleye, pork belly and duck for main entrees. The duck melted like butter in your mouth and the shrink burger was fantastic. We had the bread, mushroom risotto and scallops for apps and the scallops were the best I've had. For dessert we had the roasted pear and meringue and both were delightful.

Great evening at a local farm to table restaurant. We ordered several dishes and shared. All very good. We ended the night with an adult Chocolate Milk. Great finish. I hope my son decides to go to Michigan State so we can go back! The menu was easy to understand with several amazing choices. I like the farm to table concept. Each dish was original and fresh. I though my ginger soup was the best I have ever had. I got a bowl because I thought it would be good but they offer small shooter versions of you just want to try.

Fun place! There motto is, "better food, cool people", would agree Causal laid back, low key, and cool atmosphere. Would go back. We had the tacos, you could pick 3 for $11. Husband got hill Billy, n'awlins, and I got the cauliflower. Yum!! Salad was not bad just not my jam.

Went to eat breakfast after our walk. The food is good. They also make coffee drinks. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is in Old Town in Lansing. The parking is curbside where available. You might have to walk a little. The service is good; but everything took a little time.

Got a chance to visit their new old town location and had a great experience as always, with a lot more space for seating! Service was quick despite being quite busy and the food was as good as always! My wife is vegan and I’m vegetarian and they have a ton of great options for us. Definitely recommend trying it out!

This place has a great selection of very interesting foods to choose from. The menu items are named after movies and TV references. The bacon was not so great, but the biscuits and gravy are to die for! The Bourbon Street French toast the Rocky mountain omelette and the hippie hangover we're also incredible. Cali was our waitress and even though they were full and busy she stayed right on top of everything and got us everything we needed when we needed it! Do yourself a favor and try the tacos. Literally, try all the tacos.

Food was good, many options but as a diner I was expecting some fruit at least. Most of the options were heavy meals and I was not in the mood but settled with a salad. Coffee was great! There is a wait but we only waited for 20-30 minutes. Place is next to a cute shopping area of Lansing. Service was 10/10. Dishes were delicious but since my dish was more plain, it’s what you could honestly make at home. There’s a coffee place attached to the restaurant if you don’t want to eat in. Would I go out of my way for this? Probably not but if I’m in the area and want good coffee, I would recommend.

Tried this place out for lunch today! Highly recommend! Tried the Steak Fiesta Burrito! It was really good! They have a variety of coffee lattes! The waffle fries were also really good! Loved the retro vibe! The new location has lots of space. Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekend it was about 40 minutes! Overall we will be back! Try this place out!

Cask & Company Kitchen & Bar is a contemporary sports bar-style eatery that offers an extensive menu featuring diverse cuisines such as Mexican, Sushi, American, and Indian. The food served here goes beyond typical bar fare, with elevated flavors and quality. This restaurant provides a wide range of appetizers, entrees, and desserts in various food categories.
This was the first restaurant to catch our attention when looking for nearby options. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere is comfortable, Staff was friendly and personable.. also, important to me- not fake. True personalities and I appreciate that. They even gave great recommendations on menu choices and even other things to do nearby. The food and drinks are 🫶🥰🤌 We noticed that everyone at the bar was eating sushi, which helped us decide, maybe that was the way to go on their versatile menu of American and Asian cuisine. No regrets. I would eat there weekly if I lived in town. I will be craving their food! I will be making a 4 hour trip soon just for this experience, alone. Thank you!

Awesome place for food or drinks, large parties or small. I highly recommend the Crab Rangoon Dip. The cheese on top is wonderful and complements the crab perfectly. Terrific sushi rolls. The Great Wall and the Yummy Crunch were amazing.

I don't really know how to describe it, it's not really my cup of tea when it comes to the menu. So I'm not sure exactly how to describe it other than to say Eastern type of menu. Alot of fish sushi that type of thing. But they do, do a good job with their burgers never had their hanger steak but I'm quite sure it's tasty based on the things I have had here. Anyway they do a real nice job with the front porch. You'd never believed that sitting on top of five heavily moving streets in boulevards in a big shopping center across the street that goes down into a valley! Very pleasant atmosphere considering all that's just on the other side of the blinders and as you can see from the pictures inside is fairly stylish and classy.

From the moment we walked in we were treated very nicely. The staff is amazing. Wayne our server was phenomenal and very helpful. The food was top-notch. Especially the sushi 🍣 😋

Decent establishment but I won’t be back. My wife and I went here on a date recently. The food was good but not really standout, generic upscale bar food that is only separate from lower priced options due to the ingredients being of higher quality, but those elevated ingredients were not prepared in an elevated manner. I could have made that at home for half the cost. Portions were reasonable. Service was okay. Waiter was helpful enough but not particularly friendly. The host also moved us to a different table because they needed the table for a bigger party which wasn’t a huge deal but was still an inconvenience. The ambiance is somewhere between a more upscale establishment and a bar and it almost works but ends ultimately feels just a little jumbled.

The whole experience was great. They were able to accommodate our large group in the bar area. We went at a perfect time, there was literally zero wait. Everything was great. The food was made to order from scratch, even the kids chicken tenders were made from a batter! The sushi, hibachi, burgers, wings, Mac and cheese were honestly delish. The only complaint was the nachos and loaded fries were extremely spicy, but still good overall. Great options for my vegetarian, and she enjoyed her dish. The adult beverages were fantastic! The variety of beers was a nice touch. Parking is tight, and located on a very busy street. Overall will definitely be back when in East Lansing.

Stopped in on my way out of Lansing for lunch. The service was prompt, initially, and I got my beer within a couple minutes of sitting down. The beer was cold, though I wasn't a fan of the flavor, no problem there, though. My second beer choice kicked a few seconds after pouring, so i had to go for the third option. Alright, it is what it is. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with naan. It was tragic. Like a non-Indians first attempt at tikka masla at home, from a recipe they found on an online blog posted by someone who wasn't Indian. It was thin, with big tomato chunks, unmarinated strips of chicken instead of chunks, the wrong flavor profile from the spices, wrong color, and the saddest naan I've ever seen that would have been better from Walmart. It was also accompanied with plain white rice. Not even basmati. I've been to every corner fo the USA, and I've ate Tikka Masala in more cities than I can count. This was the worst by far. BY FAR. Also, at $21, it was one of the most expensive tikka masala's I've ever had, and THE smalles5 portion I've ever had. I took 3 bites, pushed it to the end of the bar, and 10-15 minutes later the bartender asks: "Do you want a box?" I laughed and asked for the check.
West C — Google review
I saw another review say that it's just upscale bar food. If you order bar food, you'll get upscale bar food, and holy crap is it good! Get the fried pickle spears, you won't be disappointed. (Cask and co. Please don't change this item ever!) Service - Wayne was just what we needed after a stressful and exhausting week. He was attentive, and came back to check on everything multiple times. His food and drink recommendations hit the spot! It's rare that waitstaff have opinions with real descriptions. You could tell that he really liked the food he was recommending. Cask and Co is doing something right if they are letting their staff taste and enjoy everything. The result is a server like Wayne that cares and is engaged with their customers. Ok, now on to what we had. The sushi is oh so good, the basic spicy tuna, careful, it really does have some heat :-) I like spicy, so I would recommend this basic roll. The Marco Polo sushi roll was fantastic! The olive burger was great, a bit too much cream cheese, I would prefer an olive tapenade, but holy crap was that thing cooked perfectly. Normally, I don't eat fries, but these were really good. For drinks, Mee Maws Sipper which is a bourbon cocktail and it was my favorite. (It comes with the orchid) Leo's love - My partners favorite, it's him and minty and pretty tasty. Fancy Gin Cocktail - This one is Gin and St. Germaine and had some bubbles and was an excellent cocktail for the summer! Come here if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed and the money is worth spending. Tip well for good service, they deserve it.

Nip N Sip Drive In is a classic American drive-thru spot located in Lansing, MI. This old-school joint offers a limited but diverse menu featuring burgers, wings, subs, shakes, and more at great prices. The establishment operates on a cash-only basis and provides a true drive-in experience where orders are taken through car-side speakers. There is no indoor seating available; customers can either enjoy their meals in their cars or opt for takeout.
Nip N Sip is a Lansing Classic! First and most importantly, CASH ONLY, so make sure you’re prepared before you stop by. This is a true old-school drive-in experience where you order from a speaker next to your car, and they bring the food right out to you. The menu isn’t huge, but it’s got something for everyone, and the prices are fantastic! We stopped by for lunch, and the place was packed—only one or two open parking spots. There’s no indoor seating, so you either eat in your car or grab it to go. My wife ordered a corn dog, hot dog, and fries, while I went for the Turkey Sub and fries. Our order was out in no more than five minutes, which was impressive with how busy they were. The food comes in a bag, not on a tray like some drive-ins, but that didn’t matter because everything was delicious and a great value for the price. Overall, a nostalgic, no-frills spot with great food, fast service, and unbeatable prices. Highly recommend if you're in Lansing!

The double cheeseburger never disappoints. Well cooked, juicy patties, not skimpy on the toppings. Not the biggest fan of the fries (I prefer beer battered) but I LOVE their onion rings and jalapeno poppers. A must stop when we're in the Lansing area.

Finally decide to try this place out after driving by it every day and seeing the good reviews, not sure if this was just an off day or what, but I thought for $4, I would've gotten more than a small handful of fries for my order of cheese fries. Not impressed.

Been a staple in Lansing for many years. Cash only drive-in. The coneys are awesome. Detroit style with a unique flavor. I also had the double burger which was great. I will definitely be back soon. Service was quick and my food came out steaming hot.

I’ve liked Nip N Sip since going to school nearby. They have delicious Boston Coolers at good prices, and I’d recommend them just for that. They have a decent menu and prices, but make sure you confirm their hours before you go; they’re closed on weekends. If you haven’t had a Boston Cooler before, definitely give one a try here.

The food is so amazingly good. It is top 5 best cheeseburger I have ever had in my life, and I have had a lot of cheeseburgers. The root beer is very tasty and they are one of those smart restaurants that has Coca Cola AND Mt Dew. Cash only and tips are much appreciated.
Phil S — Google review
This has been my favorite place my whole life. I don't live in Lansing anymore, but when I come home I always want Nip n Sip, but they are usually closed on the weekends 😢. I got lucky enough to come up on a Friday before season ends. The food is awesome drive-in food, the Hammy Sammy is the king of them all. The onion rings are battered and crispy. The root beer is ice cold. Love it! Only complaints: I do miss the old signs and comm system, mostly for nostalgia. The parking lot and surrounding area looks rough. And finally, the eating areas need some love and updates.

Restaurant
Zaytoon is a cozy Mediterranean restaurant located just west of downtown, known for its appearance on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in 2017. The menu features a variety of classic vegetarian mezza options such as baba ghanoush, spicy hummus, falafel, and veggie plates like mujadara and spinach pie.
It's absolutely one of my favorite places!! They have the best!! Order extra hummus and bread. Once you start; you can't stop! I love the veggie grapes leaves and tabooli salad. The house dressing is also (drinkable) delicious!! You won't be disappointed!
Amanda M — Google review
The ladies at the register were extremely sweet and nice and gave great suggestions, and the salon was beyond delicious. I will try the shrimp next time. The salad was nice and crisp, the Naan is filling and so good my sister and I ate so much on the salad and bread we took majority of our food home to eat for dinner the next day. You have to try the food. The establishment is kind of the hole in the wall bar vibe, but it is cozy, quaint, friendly, and a place that would be great to be a go-to each month. I may not have pictures up yet but will. Writing a novel has taken a lot of myself. Disability wise- the door you may need help with if in a wheelchair. I had my walker, so it was good, and a person ran up to grab the door, but it is light and pretty handicap friendly but no handicap button, but that's common. The bathroom has an accessible stall, but the main reason I took off a star. I wish I got the girls name, but their smiles looked genuine and polite, and one mentioned if I needed anything to let her know. They have chairs and booths and seem transfer friendly, but I had my walker but will try next time. The food is something that can soothe a rainy day and add spark on a sunny hot day. Enjoy!

Clean and open, but not a place to go for vibes. Order at the counter, and they will bring out the food to you, kinda like Panera's. We had a big group and ordered the family feast, which comes with hommous, baba ghanoush, tabbouli, and fattouch served with a main course of lamb grape leaves, falafel, fried kibbie, chicken shawarma, chicken kabob, beef kabob, and shish kafta served on a bed of rice. I had never tried kibbie, and it was lovely. Can't say it was like the bestest Mediterranean food I've had, but it was very enjoyable and plentiful for our group. Portions were huge... I think feast for 5 will feed 10. Well, 8 for sure. But there's always room for leftover.
Viv P — Google review
I love the food and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is great. It's set up for fast food. You put in your order at the counter and can either carry out or eat in. I'm a take away customer and just love the Chicken Schwarma. Hummus is oh so good!
Mary C — Google review
Tonight was are first experience at this restaurant. The food and service was fantastic especially for the price. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The humus is absolutely the best in the Lansing area! And I've had humus at several restaurants in the area. I'm leaving 4 stars for the food and 5 stars for the service. Overall I left 4 stars because the cleanliness of the dinning room tables and windows certainly could have been cleaner. The lamb kabobs were ordered medium rare and came out well done.
Ray T — Google review
This food is so delicious and wonderful that I'm even giving 5 stars for atmosphere. It will be the most delicious meal you've had in a month and maybe a year. We got the Shawarma platter and brought it home. The hummus is to die for and the garlic sauce is out of this world, let alone the delicious shawarma chicken and rice. You won't regret stopping at this place, it's a promise.

Food was tasty and quick! Restroom doors are filthy. Stainless counter and trash can in dining area also dirty. Staff was fixated on phones..makes it tough for them to notice other things I suppose.

I always order the Family Chicken Shawarma meal. It's plenty for 4 adults! I've tried several other Mediterranean restaurants in the area, but Zaytoons definitely has them beat. Service is quick! Call ahead if you're in a hurry. Don't forget the Golden Peak Sweet Tea! It's a perfect complement for this meal. They have the 👌🏼 best chicken 🐔 swarma! Love ❤️ their rice 🍚 😋 too!

HopCat East Lansing is a lively brewpub near the MSU campus, featuring intricate woodwork and over 100 draft beers. It's popular among beer enthusiasts and casual diners, offering creative pub fare and delectable brunch items. The young, energetic crowd creates a vibrant ambiance, with special events and trivia nights adding to the excitement. The menu includes classic bar options, with crack fries being a standout favorite.
The chef makes some really good selections with a beautiful and fun bar theme. They specially do a wonderful, inspiring job of incorporating beer, cheese, and potato. The beer battered Cosmik fries side with cracked pepper and cheese sauce is good and unique. The honey sriracha boneless wings with ranch are uniquely flavorful. These are a middle sized portion. As a third selection, the really good beer cheese soup is rich and creamy once moving past the beer taste. Without a side fry, the chef generously tops the soup with tasteful potato. I wish they served a heartier produce option of a side house salad filled with more quality vegetable. Also, I wish to find in more cities honey sriracha fried chicken and beer battered fries. 🐥 🍯 🥛 🍺 🥔 🧀

First time to order from Hopcat and the food was average. I got fish and chips with coleslaw, fries and some sauce. The fish was crispy, the coleslaw was good, the fries was oily and the sauces were fine. 3 stars is enough as I have tried way better fish and chips in several other places.

We attended HopCat in Ann Arbor, MI the evening of University of MI 2025 season football first game which was a night game a couple weeks ago. So fun! I've never been to HopCat and that was my first choice for an early dinner. It was very packed like all other restraunts so we got to sit outside in their umbrella table sesting area on a warm late afternoon. So epic! The hangover helper is literally one of the best burgers I've ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE! The fries are perfectly crispy and seasoned just right, plus the drink selection is amazing! 5/5 will be going out of my way to come back again. We visited for the first time on a very busy afternoon/evening (MSU homecoming game) with 45+ minute wait times for a table and the food still came out great in a timely manner.

I can not say enough great things about our visit here! We were in East Lansing for work and my kids wanted to go out to dinner that same night. Hop Cat was within walking distance of our hotel. Our server Jacob was phenomenal! He was quite possibly the best server we have ever had. He was very patient with us while we were looking at the food menu and reviewing the drink menu. He offered many suggestions drink wise. Jacob also helped my fiancé find his “unicorn” beer (Toppling Goliath Sosus to be exact) later during our dinner. He recommended the raspberry basil meowgarita to me which was delicious. Our food arrived perfectly! We ordered an appetizer and a few sandwiches/burgers. Everything was hot and fresh. My sons really enjoyed the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and Rodeo Clown burger with loaded fries. Their cosmik fries are always a hit! Highly recommend coming to this location!

Attempted to order on DoorDash and all ordering was closed so we called into the restaurant. The hostess was really nice at first, but took a really long time. We were on hold for a while when she came back she had a terrible attitude took our order. got the order right but the order coming from the kitchen came out terribly Wrong. My burger was very undercooked with absolutely none of the toppings and I paid for the meal and its entirety, as you can understand I’d be really frustrated by this. There were a lot of things missing from our order and the quality wasn’t that Good.

With its fun and friendly environment, this late-night bar always has awesome deals and is well-preserved in the memories of countless patrons.
For decades this place has been making great burgers and chicken sandwiches. Much easier to get outdoor seating when the students are out of town. Every time I pass through town I stop here. Mild pepper burger with fries. Delicious. And the traditional long island iced tea. Staff very friendly.

This place has super basic but super good fries! Two of the burgers pictured are “baby burgers,” they were not so baby, I definitely loved that. Small menu but good food! Lots of up-charges for add-ons, either way, service was great. Had a great time in the sun today!

The Peanut Barrel is located in a lively spot near the university, so the atmosphere is always buzzing with energy. The menu covers all the basic food options, making it a reliable choice for a casual meal. We tried the Chicken Shroom Burger and the Reuben Sandwich — both tasted fine, though not particularly outstanding. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the experience pleasant overall. 👍🏼

I had heard about The Peanut Barrel and how it has been a longtime staple in East Lansing and decided to give it a try! The Peanut Barrel is a no-frills type of place with a simple menu that generally delivers what you’d expect. The burger lunch special is a good value and I found it to be pretty satisfying. The restaurant itself is a bit dingy but some might say it has character; it sort of reminds me of what being on campus would have been like 40 years ago. Nonetheless, the service was good, the food was fairly solid, and the price was fair. Just keep in mind that there are a lot of little up charges for things like burger toppings. Sometimes you just need a simple burger and The Peanut Barrel delivers just that!

I personally dislike when a burger patty doesn't cover the entire bun, leaving you with nothing but bread for the last bites. While the crispy, burned cheese that fell from the patty may appeal to some, it wasn't for me. The waitresses seemed tired and unhappy, which was reflected in the service. We were also told to expect a 30-minute wait for our food, which felt excessively long for a menu consisting of simple burgers, salads, and handhelds. It was probably not their best day.
Javier M — Google review
The burgers never disappoint—always juicy and flavorful. The fries are perfectly crispy and evenly cooked. The patio atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, right in the heart of Michigan State’s campus. It always brings a wave of nostalgia for alumni, making it a favorite spot to relive college memories over great food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💚🤍

Midtown Brewing Co. is a local bar and grill that offers a relaxed ambiance, serving their own crafted beers and locally sourced food. Situated in the heart of the city, it provides convenience for pet owners who may not have access to nearby parks as they can bring their dogs along. With a spacious outdoor patio, it's an ideal spot to enjoy both sports games and a meal with your furry friend.
Everything about this place was great! I ordered a drink with gin, lemonade, and grapefruit juice. It was well balanced and super refreshing. My partner ordered an espresso martini that was equally delicious. Our waiter was cute, kind, and funny. He accidentally dumped a whole glass of water across our table and really went out of his way to make up for it (gave us 20% off our drinks) even though it really wasn't a problem for us. I ordered the fish and chips. The dish was cooked perfectly. The batter was crispy and not soggy like many fish places. Portions were perfect and the flavor of the fish, the dipping sauce, and the garlic fries were all amazing. I also noticed a pride flag up above the bar, which for me was refreshing. I like businesses that openly support the LGBTQ+ community. We definitely plan to come back.

The food was great and atmosphere not bad either. Will definitely go back. The only thing I didn't like is the sign said seat yourself but open tables were not cleared so I moved the bottles and stuff to the next table over. Not how I like to start my eating experiences. I had a flight of 7 beers the midtown optimal let me down but the strawberry hibiscus ale was amazing. I'd say out of the 7 at least 3/4 of them weren't too watery so your chances of good beer are high. Loved the nachos.

Disclaimer: I don’t drink so this review is only for food and service as well as atmosphere. The waiter was very nice and immediately took our orders and drinks. We waited 50 minutes for the food. I’m not one to complain but almost an hour wait for food is pretty long especially since the food is fair at best. For a brewery the options are better than other places in the area and they were good. I mostly enjoyed the truffle fries but they were a tad bit salty. The food was fine, but definitely not worth the wait. The most popular item ordered was the chicken tenders and waffle fries, I didn’t try it but all my friends did recommend it. The atmosphere is fairly quiet, there weren’t many people there during lunch so that’s good.

If the kitchen closes at 8:30pm - why close 10 minutes early? I’m in the industry, this isn’t a good practice. The server was sweet about it, but the manager made the call. This is also the 3rd time it’s happened… maybe one day I’ll get to try the food.

Amazing experience at midtown. The pretzels with the garlic cream cheese sauce was amazing. I've been here twice and both times I got a burger and added egg and bacon and it was phenomenal. My wife got a burger the first time and second time she got the fish tacos and everything we've had here is just been really really amazing.higher than expectations in terms of food quality they do great job here. The beers also really amazing. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

A great place for breakfast in the middle of downtown Lansing! Amazing collection of beers for beer lovers. They have beer dlights which cost you about $2/sample. They even have Mimosa flights for hard drink lovers. I wish there were more food options for breakfast. I would recommend their Avocado toast which was really good! Overall, a good place for breakfast with some on tap beers!

I was very disappointed with my visit. I got the fish dinner and for $16 it is not worth it. The fries were soggy, the fish was mostly greasy batter with very little fish. We also got the chicken strips and they were terrible. They appeared to be fried in overused oil. The only good thing was the server was polite. Save yourself the trip and eat elsewhere.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience here. I came with two friends, and after being seated, we placed our orders. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty — only about three other tables, all of which were already eating — it still took over 50 minutes for our food to arrive. That alone was ridiculous. When my food finally came, I was shocked. I had ordered a sirloin steak, but what I got instead was a cold, unseasoned burger patty. And get this — the server even admitted it was burger meat and said that’s just what they use. That’s completely unacceptable. If it’s not steak, don’t call it steak. I felt misled and ripped off. To make matters worse, the server brought me hash browns instead of fries, and when I asked for the correct item, she came back and literally dropped a basket of fries on the table, saying, “Good thing we had some sitting on the counter!” The fries were cold, soggy, and clearly old. The entire time there I saw three homeless people walking in and out of the bathroom and even a people asking us for rides! This entire experience felt unsafe. I paid over $20 for a meal that was misrepresented, poorly made, and served with a complete lack of care. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ll be telling others to avoid this place entirely.

I came here from nyc, very hungry in search of meatloaf… amazing….. enough said. They were short on supplies like Parmesan for their salad, otherwise meatloaf was perfect.,,,

Easily one of the best restaurants I have been to! I am from Indiana so this is my first time coming here and I am impressed. My bacon cheeseburger was awesome and my friend got the stuffed French toast and omg! So good! Definitely coming back here soon!

My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant, but I was disappointed. The food is good with attentive servers. My husband ordered the Hippie Hash breakfast. He did like it. My food was okay. The food is 3 1/2 stars 🌟. For the amount of food on the plate, it's overpriced. I might go back; I'm not sure.

From freshly made burritos and tacos to vibrant salads, every bite reflects their commitment to quality. Great food! Favorite haunt for Sparrow nurses for years. Best waitstaff, out door patio is fabulous this time of year

The Mexican food was good. My husband and I had not eaten here in years and years. We had chicken tacos for lunch and a drink each. The bar drinks were good as well. The server was very nice and polite. The young man who seated us was not very polite. Took us to a booth without saying anything. I thought that was rude. Customers want to be acknowledged. The prices were very decent. We will go back. There was parking in the back with an entrance. The decorations were cute, adding to the atmosphere.

The Salsa was good and the fajitas had good flavor but the combination plate lacked flavor. Service was fast and friendly.

Here with a friend for late lunch. I got the dry chimichanga with guacamole and my friend ordered the 3 soft tacos. Outdoor seating was pleasant and our waitress was in good spirits. I’ve only had frozen chimichangas and wet ones so this was a pleasant surprise. Friend said his food was immaculate.
Ivan H — Google review
When l got home and opened my food at a first glance I thought the tortilla was just a little burnt. But when I looked closer I saw wings like a fly. There was a bug on my chimichanga like it had landed on there and someone had killed it and smushed it into my food. I called and went back to the restaurant they were not very apologetic and offered a food credit not even a refund. The woman’s response was “he probably didn’t see it when he packed up your food, and it’s nothing we could have really done we have a lot of flies back there”. I will not be eating there again. Horrible service and horrible people

I used to go to El Azteco in the 70's and 80's in East Lansing. That is under new ownership with a different feel than what we loved years ago. This West side El Azteco is the better one if the two. The Waitress was great. The kitchen staff was very accommodating

What a joke! My husband ordered chicken burritos and they came out cold (were they premade??) He sent them back - they MICROWAVED the plate and gave it back to him. I’m not sure that’s even legal? (Sanitation, bringing an eaten off plate back to the kitchen) Besides being cold, the chicken was clearly boiled. No flavor. No hot sauce in sight. We will not be back.

O love their salsa but the chips had no salt and were stale. Taco Tuesday so I ordered the taco plate. The rice and beans were delicious. The tacos were not what I expected. Not fresh and not steaming hot.

The food and service was SO tasty and beautifully done! My sister and I got some rolls off the menu and then a chef special that was created on-the-spot....FABULOUS!! Our server Yaz was the BEST!! She rocks y'all! See the pics of our food choices 😋🤤😋🤤 We got extra food for Leftovers/ varieties 😊😊💜 Two of our dishes aren't listed...our hot app and a Papa something roll with eel sauce.

We decided to take advantage of the nice evening and have “Sushi Night With Grandpa” with the grandson who is in from out of town for his summer visit. He really enjoyed the California roll and I enjoyed the tuna sashimi and nigiri. Was able to get immediate seating. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The Lake Lansing road noise wasn’t intrusive. Didn’t have to speak loud to hear over the traffic.

Tonight was my first time here in a very long time. (I moved out of state and only recently got back.) Happy to be back in Michigan so I can patronize this amazing business again! The food was outstanding. The tea was exquisite. The interior design, tableware and service was better than I remember. A divine experience for sure. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars across the board is because of the number of birthday parties in the house during my visit. Not the restaurants fault of course but I was hoping for a more low key visit. Next time maybe. I’ll definitely be back regardless. The food and excellent service fed my soul. 💯

4 out of 5 stars ONLY because the business is lacking a Manager at this time and they have run out of a lot of inventory on a regular basis. Other than that it’s 5 out of 5 stars! I was helped by Jay, whom was absolutely top tier at helping me solve a craving I was having. I wanted a loaded fry w/ pulled pork, mac n cheese topped with coleslaw. THIS IS NOT A MENU ITEM, so Jay had to customize this for me, he did wonderfully! What I ordered was a 1 meat (Pulled Pork) w/ Fries and Mac n Cheese for my sides. Then I ordered an additional side of coleslaw. The way this was assembled was Fries on bottom, then layered with the Mac n Cheese, on top of that was the Pulled Pork, and to top it off Coleslaw. I always add some of their Sweet n Tangy BBQ sauce as I eat it. 10 out of 10 Recommend! Craving was pleased to say the least! Thank you Jay, as always you were great! 🤩

The pulled pork sandwich deals on Tuesday and Wednesday are the best bargain in Lansing. Do yourself a favor and tell them you’re heading next-door to the REO Town pub. You can bring food in there, no questions asked, and if you’re lucky, they’ll deliver it to you when it’s done being prepared. Order online to streamline your lunch ❤️

Good deals on Tuesday ($10 pork sandwiches) and Wednesday (BOGO Pork sandwiches), don’t know if these change every week; pulled Pork Sandwich was alright, gotta dunk the whole sandwich in sauce or else the pork is too dry but the corn cake and fries are the super good stuff 😋 if I had to go again I would buy a scoop of corn cake and their ice cream
Vivian N — Google review
A great spot to stop for a bite while in Lansing. The brisket is good, but their sides are their strong point. The mac & cheese was not dried out (which most BBQ spots fail to do), and the baked beans had generous amounts of meat. I also really liked their home mustard sauce. So much so, that I bought a bottle to take home.
Brent B — Google review
The chicken sandwich was not good at all. It’s 12$ for a bunch of chicken tenders on a bun. There wasn’t enough sauce and it wasn’t spicy, but the mac and cheese was very good. Next time I come I won’t be ordering that, hopefully the other food is good! The photos look very good, but I would never order this sandwich again :(

I've been to all the BBQ places in the Lansing area and Saddleback stands above them all. The service is impeccable, very friendly staff. The BBQ ribs and brisket are smoked just right along with the seasonings/rub. Took my daughter's there today and we had a fantastic time sitting outside in the sun. Also I should add, the bathroom is modern and super clean. Something I can be picky about when reviewing a restaurant. I recommend to all who are looking for good BBQ at a fair price.

Quite the local experience! This placed seems to be a local favorite and was packed! Understandable as many of the items (burgers, fish sandwich) were $5, pretty unheard of these days. Three of us had a meal for under $30, and it was delicious! Most expensive thing I got was a$7 IPA!

Dagwood is a great little community bar with a great reputation. Things I liked and believe you will too: decent size parking lot, burger and app prices that are cheeper than McDonalds a burger for less than $5 is what makes America great!, bathrooms that for a bar are surprisingly clean, generally quiet atmosphere, and friendly staff. Things I didn't like and why I give it a 4 out of 5: When I came in there was no seat yourself sign so I stood there waiting like an idiot until I asked a staffer and second it is a bit dark for old eyes. I suggest some candles or table lighting. I will say my favorite appetizer so far though I wished there were more in the basket was the cheese sticks.

Went in on Thursday for their lunch special (rotates weekly). 2 Brats, onions and pepper, with mustard and a bag of chips for $7.25. Very good food, very good vibes. This hole in the wall joint is worth your time for a quick bite, booze and a crowd.

This was my first visit here. If I lived in Lansing area, I would make this place a regular stop. The food, service, and atmosphere are all great. What is outstanding are the prices! If you get their All Day Soecial, you can get burger, fries and drinks for a price less than what you would pay for a burger alone at other places!. If you haven't been here yet, you need to get there. I know when I am traveling through Lansing in the future, I will be stopping.

I had such a great experience at Dagwood’s! Our waitress, Jamie, was absolutely amazing! friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made sure our drinks were always full, checked in at just the right times without hovering, and had the best attitude even though the place was busy. You could tell she really cared about making sure we had a good time. On top of that, she had great menu recommendations that totally hit the spot. Service like this makes all the difference, and she definitely went above and beyond. Can’t wait to come back—thank you for making our night so enjoyable

Decided to try this for my sons Graduation day dinner and it did not disappoint. Fun atmosphere! We probably ordered everything on the menu with our large party and it was all delicious! Service was great! Poor staff had to deal with a very loud nasty customer and still didn't miss a beat. Has to be said! You don't have to apologize for other people's ugliness. Even the younger people in her party could be heard staying behind and insisting on paying for everyone's drinks they'd had and apologizing for her behavior. Thanks Harper's for making our special day awesome! We'll be back!

I should have listened to the Google reviews. It was at 3.6 stars. I went here because every other place had a wait and it was full of OSU fans on game day. $5 cover to get in and there wasn't even a band or anything. The gratuity is automatically put on every bill and they make you close out after every food or drink you order. Very odd. Bar tenders would take an empty bottle and not offer to refill it. Got the nachos and they were about the worst I've ever had. Like someone went to the grocery store and got the ingredients then dumped it on a tray and microwaved it 10 sec to melt the cheese. They do brew their own beer and the one I tried was decent.
Benjamin B — Google review
Now requires everyone to put their drink on a table before entering the bathroom ( due to people disposing drinks in toilet causing plumbing issues) but has a man watch the table. As a woman: I would not come back due to the possibility of getting roofied. It is not safe for a woman to have a untrusted man watch your drink. Complained to management : was told they have cameras sorry sir but I’d rather not get roofied then have to go back to review the cameras to see who roofied me. Get rid of the table and instead hand tickets to those who have drinks and collect ticket after they are done if they bring their drink back out. This is ridiculous and unsafe for a college campus

Disappointing. I went in to look around on graduation weekend. All the other area bars were full. This bar had me, 2 bartenders, and a restaurant manager. Floors were sticky. So sticky you could hear each footstep as you pulled your shoe out of the gunk. Bathrooms were filthy, and that’s with nobody in the place. There was a 3 foot by 5 foot puddle of water on the floor in front of the DJ booth against the wall by the bathrooms. I ordered one of the house beers. $5.25 and a plastic cup later, I was told they didn’t have any change in the bar cash drawers. None at all. This was at 4:30 pm on a Thursday, so it’s not like they had just opened. Took about 10 minutes for the manager to get a cash drawer for the bartender. Gross, sloppy practices, and I surely won’t be back.

Wings and Long island ice tea for lunch- both subpar, sadly. Wings slathered in BBQ after being cooked, not good. Long island couldn't even taste the alcohol. The house made crab rangoons were good but for nearly $40 I expected to feel a buzz and eat good food, oops my bad.

Worst experience I ever had. It was my son‘s graduation. We went in with nine people. No one was there when we got there at 3:30. It took about 15 minutes to 20 minutes to get our drinks. He had to print off a new menus for us to order off of. We ordered and then he collected all the menus and took it to another table about six or seven people, we waited another hour and 20 minutes and then he came out with the other people’s food before ours and said he was waiting on a pizza for our order which we never ordered a pizza. Worst service I’ve ever had. I don’t recommend this place to anybody. Couldn’t even bring out our appetizers. So they lost my business and about $300 in a food order.

Dj actually is terrible. Asked to play some songs. Tipped generously for a 3 minute song and proceeded to play half the song for that price. Drinks were also extremely expensive for no reason. The riv charges $6 for double shots and this place charges $20

Being kicked out for working at a “competing” bar is just sad and not a justified reason to do this especially someone who wasn’t doing anything wrong and is over 21. Great Coneys, both the Detroit and Flint style. I came in and sat down, less than 2 minutes later the waitress was taking my order, 5 minutes later my food was on the table. A Great spot to hit for lunch while working downtown Lansing. This is definitely on my lunchtime rotation.

This was a BEAUTIFUL ( food wise ) place to find while in town. The food was on point. I like my Eggs scrambled real soft, and that us how they showed up, the gravy on the chicken fried steak was were it should be, in flavor, thickness, and the amount of sausage in it. The wife's veggie omelet, with a side of Chile cheese fries, was so on point as well. We consume more than we normally would because it is good. Our waitress was kind enough. She came to the table often enough for refills, and the other waitress was checking with the coffee pot. Anytime we are in town, this will be one of our new normals.

5 stars definitely 😎💓 Excellent free customer Wi-Fi here, that is much appreciated. Update 9 Sept '25 Brandy and Wayne are awesome. Happy employees who quietly sing along with the soft rock playing on the radio is always a good sign 😁. Food was amazing, not many cooks can properly brown hash browns or American fries, but mine were perfect ✅. Had cheese omelette, dry wheat toast w/ Strawberry jam, American fries with a side of their homemade sausage gravy 😋, and hot black tea. The extra creamer cup of hot water is a nice touch, gives you room for a bit of ice and a refill. Well done everyone, I still love this place 💓 Older reviews... Amber and Heather are great, thanks 😊 Crew is friendly, professional, experienced, awesome, well trained, and very fast even when it's at 100% capacity ( which is often) . Food is delicious, very clean place, love the open diner seating and the counter area. Prices normal for good quality food. Owner is nice and seems to works well with the crew. Too bad the hours are limited. May not be easy to find an reliable evening crew in this area , tbh... Try to keep the counter clean, and check the silverware, my butter knife was not clean. I did work here years ago when Sparty owned it , I had fun and made a little $. The crew was awesome back then too...

The food was not good at all. I ordered two pancakes, scrambled eggs, against my better judgement had bacon. It took me far too long to cut up the pancakes. I have never experienced a breakfast so bad. I thought by taking it with me it would be better later. So once I was done with my business there and headed home I ate the food hours later and the pancakes still gave a challenge with cutting them down further. The eggs were horrible. They reminded me of wax eggs you see on TV. The bacon was far too hard for my teeth. I don't eat pork and THAT BACON made me realize why I don't. Now the orange juice was delicious it had the right amount of pulp how I like and it was cold. My waitress was sweet and she made sure she checked on me. So I gave her a tip for that. But that food I ordered let me down big time. I was already there a hour early and just wanted something to eat before I conducted the business at hand. But generally the overall feel of the place was nice and I can tell people frequented their often and knew what to order, whereby I didn't. So I will leave you with this, if you should go make sure you know what to order. Because it doesn't seem all bad. The price was I thought that was quite pricey. I don't believe that it was handicap accessible. And it was overall clean it had a fresh smell to it also so I was impressed by that.

On a whim we stopped at Spartys for brunch. Some of the prices shocked us (the meatlover omelet for $17.50) but then other prices were great. My husband got the smoked sausage omelet and I got the gyro with onion rings. We shared a plate of chili cheese fries. I was surprised that the gyro didn't come with feta on it so I added it. I was pleasantly surprised by how much feta they put on it, as well as how much tzatziki was on it. I have been craving a gyro and I was not disappointed at all. My husband was pleased with his omelet as well. The chili cheese fries were underwhelming I would say. Not a lot of flavor at all. The server was friendly and attentive without being annoying.

We went tonight for the Valentine's day special. I ordered the seafood platter and my fiancé had the salmon risotto. Before this story begins I should mention this was one of my favorite places to eat and have a drink. We have given this place 4 times to redeem themselves. Probably my fault for giving them so many chances. It was absolutely atrocious. My 4oz lobster... still had the mud vein in them... also known as the poop shoot. The shrimp felt like they were from a left over super bowl party at best... the oysters were not cleaned correctly and it was less than one king crab leg. The crab was still partially frozen as was the shrimp. I have already thrown up. I mention the mud vein to the waitress, who was trying her best, but nothing was said to us. No apologies no sorry about the over priced crap food. I strongly suggest no one goes here. Again this place used to be amazing. I have no clue what happened. They advertise quality food but it is not at all. It is shameful that it has gotten this bad.

They sent out a gyro with a long black hair sticking out of it which was highly visible. It's like our own little Cheers bar right here in Okemos, except it's got great food and service, and it's clean and bright, so basically not like Cheers. Food is great, and the waitress staff is friendly but don’t call if they are overwhelmed?? strange behavior by the fella answering the phone when he’s supposed to be taking pick up orders. 5 things is too much for dinner?? Not sure. Go up there if you want to enjoy the food. Call them if you wanna hear old man Jenkins scoff over the ordering process.

Hamburger restaurant
Nestled in Lansing, Michigan, Olympic Broil is a beloved family-owned fast-food gem that has been serving up classic American fare since 1969. This casual eatery is famous for its hefty burgers, Coney dogs, and crispy fried mushrooms, all prepared fresh daily. With both drive-thru and indoor seating available, it offers a nostalgic dining experience perfect for families and friends alike.
Remember either in person or more likely videos of car hops where the waitress would skate out to your car. Well that's the atmosphere of the outside of this place. The inside is less interesting. If you want to sit inside you have to order at a kiosk and it's credit card only. If you want to pay cash you'll need to go through the drive through. Everything is very clean and there is a certain charm to the place, maybe nostalgia. I ordered the Bacon Ring Bbq Burger combo ($10). This is two thin 1/8 pound burger patties, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes with onion rings and bacon. This definitely is a fast food burger and needs to be compared to that. In that aspect it is top notch. Way better than any of the corporate giants. For a fair price. If you want to compare to the better burger sit down restaurants it does drop a little bit, but would still be in my top 15 for sure and maybe my top 10. The fries are very good, nothing super special, just above average done very well. I got a chocolate shake ($3), like the fries it's an above average shake done extremely well and very thick. Lastly I ordered a Pulled Pork sandwich ($5) for later. This was very good, especially since it was a reheated sandwich. Definitely the best pulled pork sandwich from a fast food place I've ever had for one of the best prices. The staff was very friendly and seemed very efficient. Overall a 5 star review. If I lived in the area I would be here all the time for a meal before or after work? Would I return? Absolutely? I may not live close, but if I'm in the area it definitely would be on my list to partake.

It is a local neighborhood favorite. I had the chicken tenders with a side of onion rings and a drink. The onion rings were chewy and stuck together and not great. The chicken tenders were chewy but cooked ok and the helping size was bigger than expected as I imagined them being big straps like at a culvers but they were small and there were a lot. I think some of the other menu items may be better tasting so even though I gave a 3 for food I give a 4 overall because of the quick service and for the family environment as many were sitting at picnic tables on the grass and even geese were coming up for a bite with their goslings. They aren't open on the weekend.

햄버거도 맛있고 버섯튀김도 맛있어요. 가격도 착합니다. I can say with confidence that it is by far the best cost-effective and delicious restaurant among the numerous restaurants I have visited in the United States and Canada. It has been open since 1974, and it was even so kind because mother and son have been running it.

Staff was fast and friendly. The menu had tons of options (I enjoyed the asian chicken sandwich). Fair prices! I will return here when I'm in the area.

You get a ton of food for the price you pay. I got the burger with BBQ sauce and an onion ring on it. It was soooo good. It is very thin patties which is how I love my burgers. I ordered a side of mushrooms. They are huge and there is enough to share with 2 or three people! Bring a card if you are ordering inside. They only use the kiosks with card inside. Definitely a must try for fast food.

Always good to be here. On the weekends is an extra treat because you can watch the usual crew of rockstars get needlessly hassled by an older man who can't keep up with them. Great spot for a quick bite, love the classic car meet up. Make owners or managers should chill, your staff rock.

Corey's Lounge is a delightful spot in Lansing, Michigan, that has quickly become a favorite for many locals and visitors alike. Known for its inviting atmosphere and diverse menu, it offers an array of options from hearty brunch dishes to mouthwatering sandwiches. The Sunday brunch is particularly popular, featuring rotating selections that ensure there's always something new to try. Diners rave about the massive burritos bursting with flavor and the crispy chicken served with waffles.
For great food, great service, and great atmosphere do try Corey’s Lounge. This place has been around for years. I have been here for a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day dinner many of times and absolutely love their corn beef that is served.

We ate here for an early dinner. It was the first time dining here; I liked it. Full bar with food. The menu has limited items with decent food. The food was a little pricey with the atmosphere cozy. The server / bartender was great. Chicken Fajita and Italian Sub

I saw the reviews and stopped for lunch during a business trip. I ordered Corey’s Club, which came with fries. The club was very good and competitively priced. Low/high top, booth, and outdoor seating. Full bar. The atmosphere is low light with wood finishings and ornate lighting—limited parking in the back. Good service. 3.95 % credit card fee. It looks a little rough on the outside, but it's worth stopping by for a try.

Don't let the neighborhood vibe fool you! The food and service here arr impeccable 👌 We came after my daughter's graduation at the recommendation of a local. I pulled up and went in and felt neighborhood bar, but I'd seen the reviews and food photos and had to give it a try. The hostess and wait staff got our 10 top all set in the dining room and were right there as people arrived to get drinks. Prices were fabulous, 12 - 15$ for most everything on the menu. 2 folks got the 12oz prime rib special, med rare, and report it was fantastic ($24). I got the French dip and fries, had some bread sticks with the feta dip (oh my!!) Friends got a large meat lovers pizza and wow, did that look good!! 👌 fine food and drinks at reasonable prices ~ can't beat that!!

I love Corey's this place is like family. Best food and drinks around. The staff is really friendly and knows about everything Corey's. They have a bar area, a back room, and a patio it's a great place to hold receptions, business meetings and just family fun Also on Sunday they are now doing a brunch menu like no others around town and it's amazing. These chicken waffles were delicious and the s'mores french toast my son smashed it all. we also got the tostadas and I haven't had anything here that was bad so I say come check brunch out starts at 11am on Sunday

My boyfriend and I randomly found this hidden gem on our way home from Detroit. The food was fantastic sandwiches were huge! The bartender was amazing so friendly and we got a chance to meet the owner as well. She told us the history behind the lounge and they have a delicious homemade carrot cake! If you are in the area stop in you will not be disappointed!

Went and tried the Sunday brunch this morning. I now have a new favorite breakfast spot. Their menu has rotating options, so you'll always have the option to try something new every time you go. Today, we all ordered something different and just picked off every plate. The burrito is massive and full of flavor. The chicken on the chicken and waffles was so crunchy and flavorful. They hand make their own croissants, which could be sold individually with how delicious they are. And then there's the banana and peanut butter French toast, which is so rich, it's hard to put down the whole plate. On top of all of that, the service at Corey's is always top-notch. I'm going to be making Sunday brunch a regular thing now. Way to go, Corey's. Now, all I could ask for is a breakfast pizza. UPDATE: Are you looking for the GREATEST bread sticks ever? Well you found em! Went and tried the olive burger. (Corey's burger) It was a great burger with flavorful olive sauce. Another great experience at Corey's. I love it here.

Tom Corey you should do better. Came inside and place an order to go. First of all, you should informed all customers when they place orders to go that there is a "take out" charge. My first receipt I was charged $13.95 for my food and my second/final receipt I was charged $14.50 for my food. My first receipt I was also charged .95 cents for take out, then on my final receipt I was charged .99 cents for take out, then I was charged .62 cents because I paid with a card. So as a paying customer in your establishment I was basically charge to be in your place. My order was all boxed up so I did not inspect my order until I went back to work to only be gross out. I am not going to tell you what I order as I would like you to try to figure out what the heck this was supposed to be. I have receipts to show you all the charges but not going to provide picture because it will give away of what the unrecognizable food I order.

Art's Pub has great food. Everything we try is always good. They have good portions. Usually split whatever we order. Depending on the day, service can be slow, but I would not let that keep you from going! Especially if you want one of their breakfast pizzas!

Tried arts for the first time and did not have a great experience. Ordered takeout spent 85$ for 2 pizzas,2 breads, some wings. Got home to a burnt disaster. Can't recommend as all we could taste was burnt food but it did look good.

The proof is in the pudding or, in this case, the very cheesey breakfast pizza! Immediately upon walking in I was hit in the face with the mouthwatering smell of smoked brisket. The restaurant was not super busy, had really nice ambiance, and, was really clean. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was exceptionally good. Ordered the Rise and Shine Breakfast Pizza, that comes with bacon, sausage, ham, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, sausage gravy and fried over medium eggs on top. The crust was buttery and texturally perfect. The only complaint about the pizza, and it's a minor one, was that the sausage was so sage forward and flavorful that you couldn't really taste the bacon or ham. The sausage was delicious (one of the best I've had) though so I wasn't even mad; I just wished the dish had been a bit more balanced. Their coffee was stellar and their menu has numerous other offerings ( I'm looking at you smoked brisket omelette) that sound too good to pass up. I will for sure be returning many more times to get the full experience.

Nice laid back place where you can get great food for a reasonable price. The bbq wrap was amazing, the beef was super tender and perfectly seasoned. The mac and cheese wrap was also really nice but I would take the banana peppers out. Overall is a nice place and we’re glad a friend recommended it to us!

The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for unwinding after a game, enjoying deliciously seasoned food and a refreshing drink. With its vibrant greenery and ample space, you can relax while catching live music or engaging in sports like soccer and volleyball.
A really nice place to hang out and watch a chill band, play soccer, or play volleyball...or do all 3! Great patio with lots of well-kept greenery. Kudos to the plant people! Nice selection of food and wide variety of beer and beverages. You can also bring your doggo. You won't see anything from the road so you'll just have to go up the long drive to see for yourself. Highly recommend!

We recently had my daughter’s bridal shower at Cleats and it was perfect! Mavia was so wonderful to work with from planning through the end of the shower and the staff was very friendly and helpful as well. They even brought out a cart to our cars and helped us unload all the things for the shower. Julie, the owner, was so friendly and did an amazing job on the charcuterie board we ordered. It looked fabulous. The turkey bacon BLT’s were delicious as was the Caesar salad we had. Thank you Mavia, Julie and Cleats staff. I would highly recommend Cleats.

Based off of my experience I’m gonna give this place a good rating so I’ll give them a 5⭐️ I can tell they put a lot of effort into their quality of food and really keeping the place clean. The staff was wonderful and inviting. This is a great place to relax after beating your opponent and kick back to have a beer. The food is great and actually seasoned to perfection. Who ever you are keep doing great in the kitchen. The ONLY thing I have to say is to let fried food drip some of that oil before putting it into the food basket. Other then that I absolutely loved this place. Good job guys and keep up the good work!

Really loved this place. We went at lunch time and it was pretty quiet. We had an efficient waitress and delicious food!

So why a three? Well, we got seated on. Sunday afternoon and it was a busy place but understaffed. Our sweet potato fry appetizer was great but took a long long time to come out. While we looked at the menu we noticed someone's fake lashes were stuck on the menu. Though dark, please wash or clean your menus from time to time please, yuck. We ordered 1 slider and some wings too. The food was good tasting but a bit pricey for how much you get. Also staff seemed very blah. I'm not sure if it was the understaffing or something else but more personality is needed. If I eat here again, I will prepare ahead for slow service. Had the food tasted worse I would've rated it lower.

Great restaurant across the street from the ballpark location is outstanding. Extensive drink list and beers on draft. Lots of wonderful slider choices option to eat inside or outside. It was a bit chilly so we opted for in. The best part of the meal was the cheese cards which were amazing. Parking can be a bit of a challenge like in any downtown city, but it’s available once you locate it and in close proximity to the restaurant.

Never knew sliders could be so good. Our bartender Jackson was awesome. He was up to date on specials and conscious of what was popular. His recommendations were spot on. The turkey slider was amazing and flavorful. It was also big enough that you actually felt like you ate a whole sandwich. The environment was very sports friendly with splashes of iconic movie themed pictures as well. Overall, the place is a great choice for a quick late night bight.

Loved this bar! I asked the bartender for recommendations, he ordered them up & did not disappoint. You have to try their garlic sauce on a chicken slider, the cheese curds are a must-have and the local beer is delicious. Absolutely will be coming back!

A couple of friends and I got into Lansing late for a convention the next day. We were happy to find the Sidecar Slider Bar still had their kitchen open. The three of us were impressed with the fries and cheese curds we had for appetizers. All three of us also enjoyed the sliders we ordered. I had two vegetarian options. One friend tried a chicken slider and a beef slider, while the other friend had two beef sliders. After the meal, we all agreed we would return for another meal the next time we're in town. The beer selection is also great. I hope to try the outdoor seating the next time I'm there.

Thank you so much Dennis and Sophie for the excellent service. Hospitality executed correctly and good quality food are not found in one place very often anymore and they absolutely delivered. I suggest asking for recommendations for food and drinks as properly trained staff like these guys will cater to you - all you have to do is ask. Again, an absolute pleasure to dine here. Expect that because this establishment is in the "stadium district" they will be very busy during certain times so it's important to know what's going on downtown and "choose your experience accordingly". We chose to visit on a weeknight when there were no events because we wanted a more intimate dining experience - but I'm sure we'll visit again during a busier time to enjoy a more lively environment.
Nicole M — Google review
Food is great, we have enjoyed it all weekend during our stay while working the Lansing tattoo convention. On Sunday, after working a long weekend, we were super excited to get to grab a late dinner and look forward to a few drinks! Food was great, server was nice! Unfortunately, the bartender decided to cut us off after one round of drinks. Even though, I watched others be served more than what was ordered at my table. There is no law that I found stating a drink maximum, the restaurant doesn’t have one posted, and if I’m being honest .. that would literally make this the most strict drink regulation we have came across in traveling the country as traveling artists. We’re also not strangers to Michigan, and have never ran into this in the past. If you’re looking for a late night dinner and drinks, this is not the place. Update.. in 45 minutes we were allowed more drinks. Nothing was done out of the way to encourage drink regulation. The literal only thing ( and I hate to say it ) that I noticed was this was regulated to the table of 2 with the literal only black man in the restaurant. Coincidence or not? I guess the reviews will tell of this is an ongoing issue.

Found this place from Google with high star rating. So we decided to take a little road trip from Holland, MI to give a try and have dinner at this place, about 1 hour 25 min drive from our home. We arrived before 6p, but it got busier after 7p, lots of customer started to come to dine in/take out. OMG 😳😱!! It is not disappointing at all. Hands down to all food we ordered 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. We LOVE them all!! Hamza, the front desk server, was very nice and patient, thank you 🙏🏻😊. He even recommended the type of fish from one of the combos we ordered. We ordered combo #8 with cod fish as substitute, #9 with swai fish (Hamza's recommendation - which was very tasty), chicken nuggets with fries, chicken gizzards (the BOMB!!!), hush puppies, and extra 5 pcs of cod fish. The fishes, indeed, were cooked from fresh. I love the way chicken gizzards cooked, still crunchy yet tender and tasty. Fried jumbo shrimps were to die for. The fries and hush puppies were tasty too. Wings and nuggets were seasoned well. Everything was tasty and cooked perfectly. Therefore, I gave 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ratings for food and service 🙏🏻😊. We will definitely go back to this place in the future to try another meal 😊👌🏻.

Auto gratuity was the cherry on top. 30 minutes plus to get my beer, and a mixed drink. 45 minutes for fries. To be fair, iv worked this industry for a long time and I won't blame the bar tender or kitchen. My Guinness had been poured 25 minutes before I got it, our fries were perfectly cooked and fresh out of the fryers. We were there for an hour and a half, and were able to order and get 1 round of drinks. Server even remarked how she was so bored from her section being slow all night. Still would have rounded up to give %40 tip but I got auto gratuitied so enjoy. We are off to any other bar. First and last time here VIP lounge we got was cool though.

WOW! Absolutely amazing food. I can't believe coconut shrimp this good exists in Michigan. Huge, plump shrimp with a light crunchy breading and the marmalade was on point. The pork quesadilla was packed full and grilled crunchy and buttery. So delicious. We also had the fried pickles and seafood chowder, other amazing dishes. I can't believe this place isn't more packed on a Friday night. The food is unique and incredible. We had great service and beer too.

We came here this weekend for Sunday brunch and it was FANTASTIC. I had the brunch burger, we also had the seafood nachos, breakfast chimichanga, pulled pork sandwich, and mini waffles. Everything was amazing! So they don’t have a liquor license to make mixed drinks but they do make their own seltzer and beer in house. I was hesitant to try the Bloody Mary with the seltzer but it was actually amazing and tasted like a real Bloody Mary! The Mango Mimosa was also good! Service was excellent. Cyle our server made sure we were satisfied and happy. The decor is also really cool in there. They also have a tiki bar looking patio which will be nice when it warms up🤩definitely give it a try!!!🌺🍹

We dined on the patio on a Saturday evening and enjoyed a live performance with a great Playlist. The menu was unique and offered something for everyone. One of us was struggling with a drink choice so our waitress offered a sampling which led to a great drink with dinner. Our food came out promptly and was hot and fresh. We had a great time and enjoyed our leftovers the next day too!

Excellent local joint! The band was excellent! We went on fish fry deal day and the fish and chips were amazing. Every single beer I got was great. This place is so underrated. My only complaint? I wished service was friendlier and more welcoming but honestly it is nitpicky. It was good service.

I had the Hawaiin Burger and the TeopicalnStorm Stout. Both were excellent. The stout had a stout flavor but was smooth with a hint of citeus very nice. The burger was great in that the spice sauce wasnt too spicy at all really and the meat wasnt so juicy that my bun fell apart. The seasoned fries were great too. In looking at other reviews, it seemed to me that if the food wasnt bar food people didnt like it but a burgers and apps were great. Lesson in my mind is bars are not brunch places...convince me haha the inside had a penny bar top and the hanging lights were fun. My only disappointment was my stout had a lot of head and instead of pouring some out to level it just a tad higher the bartender said it was basically meant to be that way. When i get a 9oz glass id like the most out of that 9oz, ya know? A qurter inch great i can work with that but an inch c'mon man. See my picture to see the height yourself. Ill be back someday for music.

Don't sleep on this place! The menu items were very unique and our food was incredible. We had the seafood nachos, which offered a good quantity of seafood with fresh toppings - very tasty! We also had a chicken dish with peppers and onions in a savory sauce. (Can't remember the name of the dish). It was a special menu item of the day and ended up being one of the best meals I've ever had! To top it off, we were there on a live music Friday night!!! Thanks for providing us with this gem of a place!

This place has potential. Facility is clean and if they can get the license to serve alcohol outside, the outdoor seating is great. Indoor dining area is good although a few palm trees inside would give it a little more cheer. The beer is good. I really liked The Fireside Ale and made a suggestion to them to maybe add a hint of raspberry or a fruit to it to make it extra special. (Hint, hint). Food was good. The fried pickles were perfect, hush puppies were awesome but did not like the sauce it came with and my jerk chicken sandwich was nice. My sis had the seafood nachos and the looked great! Give them a try. Everyone has to start somewhere and like I said before, there is potential. And our waitress, Izzy was fantastic!

Mitchell’s Seafood House is a stylish and upscale dining destination that specializes in fresh seafood dishes, complemented by a vibrant raw bar and delightful happy-hour martinis. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between chic and inviting, making it an ideal spot for everything from romantic dinners to celebratory gatherings or business lunches. While some fried appetizers could benefit from a bit more seasoning, the overall experience shines with attentive service that leaves guests feeling well cared for.
We sat out on the patio, and had a lovely lunch! My spicy crispy shrimp was out of this world delicious, and it had a really quirky and cute presentation that I did not expect at all! Our server was diligent and friendly, and always kept our drinks full. Mitchell’s is a great place to grab lunch/dinner if you’re shopping in the area.

FRESH FRESh FREsh FResh Fresh SEAFOOD! Awesome service! Great choices- could use a (a lot) more seasoning on the fried apps… bland BUT the atmosphere was semi-sexy - enough for a date, or bday celebration or business lunch. Lansing does not have as many upscale restaurants as one would think to be our state capitol… so this may be as good as it gets. Worth a visit! Wish I knew our servers name- she was unforgettable and awesomely attentive.

This is a nice place to have dinner. We went with my 2 adult sons and had a good seafood meal. I did make reservations ahead. It is in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. I thought it was a little pricey, even for seafood. I definitely would go there to eat again. The drinks were well made.

The seasoning was good. My shrimp was a little overcooked. Portion sizes is a little small. Overall pretty good. Seafood Americana was delicious and Shangai Sampler was also good. The market trio has amazing shrimp

My husband and I are from Jackson & brought our nephew in before he went off to college. My nephew got the king crab & loved it. My husband & I enjoyed our meals as well but I feel like there could be better fish menu options. Trout would have been wonderful. We were sat by the kitchen & the managers really do run a tight ship. Overall it was good but I'm not sure it was good enough to come back from Jackson.

We were a party of 8 in a separate dining room, with Andrew as our server. He did an outstanding job helping us with our selections and remembering the smallest details of our order. We found Andrew to be attentive but not intrusive and very personable. The meals were excellent, with the exception of a few dishes that needed to be reheated a little. The desserts were outstanding! We shall return next year, as we have for the past few years.

Since its opening in 2013, this upscale steak and seafood restaurant has become a go-to spot for both lunch and dinner. The menu features an array of expertly crafted dishes, from tantalizing appetizers like ahi tuna tartare to hearty mains such as prime bone-in New York strip steak and pan-seared rainbow trout.

Beautifull place, but was almost empty. Ive read reviews which werent that good but wanted to try. My brother got the 88$steak, which was good, but just good and in my opinion not worth 88$. I ve got lemon chicken pasta which was nice, but best for me was onion soup.

Overall I had a good experience at this restaurant with my family. The staff was very attentive and understanding with any alterations to the meals or drinks. Me and my family came to celebrate my little sister’s 21st birthday. We all ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Since it was a big party it did take some time for our food to be ready. Everyone was pretty satisfied with their food but some items could’ve been seasoned more and served with a bigger portion in our opinion .

It was my first time visiting. The wait staff were all very attentive and polite. The atmosphere was pleasant with low lighting and candles at each table. The food was absolutely delicious!! I’ve only ever been here once and will probably never return from the experience. The staff was all really nice, but it took 40 minutes to get our food and then both my husband and I had to send our dishes back because of how over cooked they were. They then ran out of what I ordered, which is totally fine, that happens, I ordered something else and it was pretty gross. All in, it took an hour and a half to get food. The manager came over to apologize which was very nice and offer us a free dessert, we tried to decline it because we were so done with the experience that we just wanted to leave but they sent over a bag with the check, which was $300 for 3 people. The carrot cake was definitely the best part of the experience lol

If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience that combines American comfort food with a hint of Texas flair, look no further than Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. This family-friendly chain is all about serving up scratch-made dishes that evoke the warmth of home-cooked meals. Established in 2014, it has quickly become a go-to spot for those craving hearty fare. During my visit, I was greeted by an incredibly friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The highlight?
Overall it is a great place. Drinks and dinner not only tasted good but It was presented beautifully. I had the smokehouse burger and fries which were excellent. The only thing I thought was weird is that I couldn't get a side of onion rings as a substitute for fries even at an added cost but they have them as an appetizer. My date had the steak which was overall cooked exactly how they wanted it although no one would mistake it for a steakhouse type place. In summary for the price we paid the food and service were very good and it will definitely be a place I'll go again.

Great restaurant, love the New Orleans pasta (spicy) and the homemade pot pie. This trip we had shrimp Alfredo, lemon pepper chicken, and chicken nuggets with fries. The chicken nuggets were delicious soft moist chicken in a fantastic light batter. They have a signature croissant that is great. The carrots are sweet, and the green beans are fantastic.

This is one of our family go too spot. Onion rings are on point. This is a must have for an appetizer everytime we come here. Keywest Chicken is also one of me and the wife favorite here never been disappointed on this dish. Potatoe soup was good. The fish fry I was a little disappointed on. The look and the crisp on the fish looks great. But unfortunately looks and flavorful was not aligned. Its flavorless even with the tarter sauce it was flavorless. This fish is super thin when biting into it yoir basically just eating the batter. Usually I dont get out of my norm which would be the Steak and ribs but thought I tried something different today. But they still have a decent menu to choose from, and their pain killer drink there is also pretty good, and sucks cos its limit to 2 per person lol.

so delicious and our server was so nice, i got the chicken tenders tossed in hot honey, my boyfriend got the grilled salmon with shrimp. Oh my goodness... Excellent everything. The food was... delicious. I had "THE Chicken Pot Pie". I mean it was as good as any restaurant pot pie that I've ever had. Huge side salad came with it. My wife ate some of the salad and had a side of Broccoli and Cheese with rice. And the rolls, with icing, Oh My. Price was under $20 +tip. Waiter was friendly, pretty prompt and did a good job.

We were slightly skeptical when their hostesses didn't seem to have a clue as to what they were doing or customer service in general. However when we were finally seated we had an all around great experience. Renee was our server and she was fantastic! She was very prompt with getting our drinks ordered and answering questions. She was very kind and welcoming even to our somewhat large table (5 adults and 4 kids). The food was absolutely delicious and nearly everyone had enough leftovers for another meal, even at their reasonable prices. The kids also loved that there were some items that aren't typically on a kid's menu (fried shrimp, chicken alfredo, etc). The pork chops, country fried chicken, bacon cheeseburger, and loaded potato soup were all delicious!

Very crowded, very noisy and my food was cold.I ordered a burger and mashed potatoes and gravy. I had to wait almost 10 minutes for my gravy and mayo for my burger so the food was far from hot. Hoped the gravy would heat up my potatoes but no such luck. Maybe when they aren't so busy the food is hot. The burger was good although bun dry /fell apart

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a charming chain restaurant that embodies the essence of American comfort food, complete with an inviting general store. During the holiday season, guests can indulge in new offerings such as Pot Roast and an upgraded buffet style option that includes various sides and breads.
Food was amazing, well what we received. Our waitress (Maria) brought me and the wife our fried fish but no sides. Said fries were just dropped, which was weird but okay. After no refills on sodas and finishing our food she comes back to ask if we were good and bring the check. Reminded her of our sides and she brought them in a to go box. I also ordered bacon Mac and cheese which I didn’t receive but was charged for. Terrible experience but like I said, what we received was good

It has been years since I've been to a Cracker Barrel. My husband and I went to this particular restaurant this past weekend. I was sorely disappointed. I had chicken and french toast. The chicken was really good. It tasted like the KFC of old. The french toast was terrible. It was way too soft; no flavor, no cinnamon, and no powdered sugar. My husband had a full breakfast with plenty of food. He had an Old Timers breakfast plate. Eggs, sausage, hash brown casserole, and biscuits with gravy. It was adequate but not enough flavor. The service was good. I will go back, but only for the store. That store has so many things and the prices are decent. The best we ate there was the Biscuits Beignet. They were amazing!

Had the opportunity to visit this location a couple of times when I was recently in town. Was very happy with the service, even though on one day they were clearly understaffed on the floor. Everyone was nice and we were greated by multiple staff members. Food was good, no complaints on that front. Love those biscuits. Kids enjoyed their food too. And the peg game on the table even had all the pieces (have had trouble on that front in the past).

This place is just now what it used to be. CB has been a top 5 choice in my family for years, but my last few visits have been unpleasant. I could write a lengthy review but I’ll just keep it short: 1. Long wait to be seated (depending on who you are) 2. Long wait to be greeted by your server or get your drink orders 3. Long wait for food 4. Food is dry, unflavored, and portions are very small - and plated kind of gross 5. Can’t get items asked for without yet again another long wait, letting food get cold, and then never receiving it 6. Restaurant is freezing (as usual) and just feels miserable Picture doesn’t do the small portions justice

The meal was a mixed bag: country ham was awesome; however, the scrambled eggs were pathetic (see photo). Almost looked like egg whites. Server was fair, but I ordered the included side of sliced tomatoes, but got mixed fruit instead - with an upcharge!

Plastic in Burger! My son took a bite of his burger and found a large piece of melted plastic in his burger. There was also a grill brush baked into my chicken. Needless to say it doesn't seem like a clean place to eat. Would not go back.

This is my favorite Cracker Barrel location. My friends and I have an inside joke about this Cracker Barrel in particular, so I had to stop by while driving past this most recent time. I’ve been here 4 times and the food, service, and store have always been amazing. This time I got the 10oz Strip Steak, the Mashed Potatoes, the Corn, the Dumplin’s, the Fried Shrimp, and of course the Biscuits. Also this is the only place that I know of that has Clove chewing gum, which my Dad really likes.

06/15/2024 Friendly, attentive employees, beautiful fun gift shop, clean spacious restaurant with lots of seating. Everyone enjoyed their food. The ham, sausage and bacon were cooked just right. Delicious eggs, brown tasty hashbrowns and big fluffy pancakes. The star of the meal was the already warm syrup that came in little shot bottles. The strawberry mimosa was ok, a full glass would have been appreciated since it was served in a small class. Good food portions, great taste. We will be back.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a tantalizing aroma that sets the stage for a satisfying meal.
We came in Thursday night to watch the start of march madness, Sarae was our server and we didn’t want for anything! She was on top of it and asked all the right questions. Our food came out fast and well plated. She let us know about the specials and was warm and friendly. It can be challenging going out to eat with kids but it was well received. This was my first time visiting Smokin Bones, and it was a great experience. The delicious smoky aroma hit me as soon as I walked in. Sarae greeted us right away and was helpful in answering all our questions. Before long, the hot food started arriving at our table. Be sure to order the BBQ Crowd Pleaser. It's a meal and ooh it's good. The smoked wings are good, BUT I liked the fried wings way better because of the crunch. The Strawberry Dream drink was ok. If I ordered it again, I'd need an extra added. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and I’ll definitely return whenever I’m in Lansing.

Great service. Mostly good food if you like grilled meats. The price is probably a little high but we were using a gift card deal to make it reasonable. It did not seem very busy for a Saturday night. Some of the booths have too much breeze to be comfortable. Our waitress moved us to a warmer booth.

I wish I could put a negative amount of stars. This place should be ashamed of what they call food, much less bbq. My gf got the shroom and swiss burger, and I got the double because the brisket they brought to another table looked like a leather belt! The burgers were very dry and didn't really taste like meat. You can see in the picture what a $20 burger looks like from this place. We got 2 burgers, loaded fry, and drink from the bar for $80. I will eat gum off the ground before eating this place again. Do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Nestled in the heart of Michigan, The Creole Burger Bar & Southern Kitchen is a delightful gem that transports you straight to New Orleans with its vibrant atmosphere and mouthwatering menu. This charming eatery combines rustic decor with an intimate setting, making it perfect for a romantic date night or a casual outing. Guests can indulge in classic French-Creole dishes like gumbo and pork confit, alongside southern staples such as jambalaya and fried green tomatoes.
A Taste of The South: Creole Burger Bar & Southern Kitchen, Lansing In the landscape of Lansing, Michigan, sits the Creole Burger Bar & Southern Kitchen, presenting a firm nod to Southern and specifically, New Orleans culinary arts. The ambiance? Aesthetically coherent. The service? On point without being too much. You step inside, and there’s an agreeable charm that doesn’t try too hard but accomplishes a lot. There’s a respectable variety in the food offerings, a Southern touch, not trying to re-invent the wheel but rolling it quite well. A night out with friends here became not about extravagance but a straightforward, good time. The interior - it works. Not overdone, but speaking to the theme without seeming like a caricature. We dove into several dishes, but those portabella fries with feta stood out. Not a conventional choice by any means, but an appetizer that you find yourself involuntarily nodding at with each bite. Everything that followed held its ground, though a note to the chefs – don’t shy away from embracing the boldness of Creole and Cajun on those fries. For those finding themselves in Lansing and inclined towards a culinary journey with a Southern touch, the Creole Burger Bar & Southern Kitchen warrants a visit. It doesn’t scream for your attention but confidently waits, knowing those who step inside will likely find a reason to return.

I've been considering trying this place for a while. Finally found the time, and went. The atmosphere was very relaxing, the ambiance was darker than any restaurant I've been in. David was our server and he was absolutely amazing. He had to go to the kitchen a few times to check on my dietary restrictions with no hesitation. I decided on the shrimp etoufe. It came very fast. However the taste was quite underwhelming. The rice was not seasoned or piping hot like the etoufe. It was good enough to eat, but not write home about. My husband got the burger and was unimpressed. The fries that we were served were sitting for a while, but the replacement came quickly. Overall I'd give my meal a 6/10. The bar was really pretty but I don't drink so I can't give that a review. But here's a pic!

As always the Stars bothers me depending on what I'm reviewing and I do a lot of reviewing of restaurants and from one restaurant to another whether it's supposed to be upscale or a sports bar five stars for a sports bar it's not exactly five stars for an upscale high end restaurant this place technically high-end upscale. So, being that I placed it in that category, I got to hit it with four stars. Not that the atmosphere wasn't pleasant and the service was good. The quality of the food looks like it was excellent quality, and for the most part, I really enjoyed what I ate. but it didn't quite hit the mark of the higher upscale places I've been at. Although very good and probably half the price when you get right down to it to the high end where one person is going to drop 75 to $100 on themselves this place you probably can get out of there with a drink and your meal for 30 to $50. I'll tell you what, though, the people that are working there, at least we're working there the night that I left, are honest as the day is long. I left my backpack in there, and that thing was loaded up with all kinds of stuff. I could tell when I got back there to pick it up. They had taken it to the bar and kept it safe for me. They hadn't unzipped one pocket or moved one thing or touched one thing in my backpack my wallet hadn't even been opened up to look for an ID it was unmoved they were just keeping it safe till I came back for it! And believe me, I would have known if one thing had been touched inside of my backpack. It's definitely a nice little upscale place and the quaint Old Town of North Lansing. The area and this restaurant are definitely worth a visit to see if it fits your pallet and pocketbook. The Portobello fries are definitely something special as I'm sure many of their other products are it's just the first time I've ever ate there

I visited this past Sunday for the first time because I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt despite all of the negative reviews! This by far was the worst dining experience that we’ve had here in Lansing Michigan. First off we were almost forced to wait an hour even though we had a reservation, then after we were seated it still took about an hour to receive our food. We both ordered the “Cajun Omelette” and those turned out to be just hard fried eggs filled with burnt andouille sausage topped with salsa! The side of grits were hard and cold, and the shrimp and grits that my husband ordered for $20.00 were not good at all. When I tell you that every piece of sausage in my omelette was burnt, it was a disgrace and the waitress removed that order from the bill. We still ended up paying over $50.00 for the meal. I also ordered coffee that came in a full pot and the taste was quite bitter for coffee. My husband offered me his shrimp and grits that I ended up throwing in the trash. The overall experience was horrible and from here on out I will listen to the reviews! I wanted it to be great but it wasn’t… Sorry not Sorry

A great diner! The staff are friendly and thr diner is a cozy old fashioned style. the wait time is surprisingly short. We ordered chopped sirloin (11$) and orange chicken (10$) and they were both tasty and fresh and the portions were surprisingly large.

Now that I’ve been here quite a few times I’ve had most of the staff wait on me and now I’m not impressed with them at all. The food is still on point but I’ve had nothing but rude waitresses the last three times. This is a good way to lose a good paying customer. If I had their names I would mention them but I don’t. I’m my opinion there is only one good waitress and she’s in the first section. I’ve had her the first couple times and she’s great and always has a smile. With all this being said I’m probably not going to return to this place because I’m not gonna deal with rude staff

I had to stop eating to let the world know how good this gyro plate is! The waitress was very attentive and friendly as well. My partner had the Mac and fish and ot was glorious. Definitely coming back to try more things.

Very authentic Greek Resturant. My wife and I started with Saganaki. It was delicious and it was lit right in front of us before it was served. I then proceeded to order the Chicken Gyro Supreme per my waitress's recommendation. Definitely get it Supreme because Feta! My wife got the Grilled Chick Salad. It was way more than she could eat and it really flavorful. Their homemade Greek dressing that she had on the salad was also really good she says!

Great service, charming atmosphere, large menu, breakfast available all day, traditional Greek favorites and so much more. Reasonable prices and daily specials.

HORRIBLE!! First time here today, last time here forever. 5/2/2021 Def shouldn't have left a $9 tip on a $30 to-go order. Worthless. They stuffed toast, plastic ware, jelly & more all into 1 small bag. Potatoes for the skillet were burned to a crisp. Gravy is either made with white flour and no pepper or its purchased in powder form from GFS or Sysco. Silver dollar pancakes are rubbery. How's this place still in business??!

Love this little dinner! Breakfast is great and so is the Greek and coney food. The servers here are so nice. Has a really comfortable feeling homey feeling when you walk in. If you become a regular the servers remember you. They have a drive through that is super convenient. You can call ahead an order and then pick it up at the drive through.

After reading google reviews I decided to give this place a try, and was not disappointed at all! Even at 3pm they were still somewhat busy, usually a good sign. The entryway is crowded and basically nonexistent, walking in the door puts you basically at the counter where customers pay their bill and several were doing so at the time I arrived. Once seated our server, Ashley, was quick to greet us with a smile. I had the traditional gyro, made it a combo with fries and a soft drink. Asked to have my fries made with chili and cheese, was even given the option of shredded or cheese sauce. My company for lunch ordered a grilled chicken sandwich without mayo or a side. Total was a very moderate $16, outstanding value! Food came out in a timely manner and there is nothing I would change about it at all. They have a wide variety of menu items, breakfast all day and fair prices. The dining room was clean and well kept, I will most definitely return!

Champps in Lansing, MI, is the ultimate destination for those seeking a lively yet family-friendly sports bar experience. With its inviting atmosphere and beautiful patio, it’s perfect for everything from casual lunches to group gatherings. The menu boasts an array of comfort food favorites like burgers, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings that are sure to please every palate.
Quiet Monday night and I had the entire place to myself. Kitchen stays open late (11-1130pm) and the food is actually quite good. It seems to have a good bar atmosphere and is separated from the dining area. Good service and highly recommend David the bartender. Great job and will come back when I visit Lansing again.

To begin with server was not very attentive we waited 5 min to even have her take our drink order. Another 5+ min to get our drinks the pretzel bites appetizer was ok flat bread pizza was hard in a bad way. For the main course my steak was over cooked and cold. My guests chicken salad was cold dry and tasteless. I'm not one to give someone a bad review they did discount the bill but the point is I went out to eat for a good time and good food and just ended up with a bad taste in my mouth. Dont let the photos of the food fool you it looked way better then it tasted.

What a lovely place for a lunch meeting. Atmosphere was welcoming with beautiful scenery and even a very attractive looking patio. It was the perfect place for a group get together and had something for everybody. If you have a large group with a variety of different appetites this is a great place to go. Hardest part is making a decision of what you want to get. Also the wait staff was super quick and very friendly.

Service and food have always been good at this location. This time we went during lunch hour on a Tuesday and it was fast, delicious and not too busy. Pictured is the Nashville hot and French dip sandwiches.

Myself and my 2 son's (21 & 17) went there on 5/5/18 for lunch. We had never been there before. We ordered the chicken Cesar salad, bacon cheeseburger, burger with bleu cheese, cheese sticks and 2 Patron Margaritas. The burgers were cooked as asked. Chicken cesar salad was Meh! Margaritas were strong. We had the Patron Margaritas. Yuck. I put 1/2 of my water in it. Disappointed. They were $10 each! We just drank them, with the thought that we weren't coming back... Cheese sticks $8.50 for maybe 5 or 6. About 1/2 of them had a "dab" of cheese inside of them. Not sure of the sauce that they came with..not that great, the boys didn't finish it. We were also given dirty plates for the cheese sticks. We had a coupon for $10 off a $30 order and our bill was still $61 and change! Our waiter was busy, looked frazzled. But to be fair to him, it was graduation day for MSU. We like to try new places, this one we will take off our list. The food was typical bar food, but I've had bar food that was on point! It was way OVER PRICED!! For burgers, salad, cheese sticks & 2 drinks. Our bill would have been over $70 if it weren't for my coupon. We were NOT impressed. 😞 5/6/18 - I didn't know that when we post pictures with our reviews that someone is able to remove them. What is the purpose of trying to give an honest review? I had to repost a pic of the dirty plate 3 times since I posted this yesterday. Take note: Shows 5 pictures posted... 😑 NOT COOL. Yet creepy knowing they can remove from an actual post!! 👎

Texas Roadhouse is a vibrant chain steakhouse that brings the essence of American cuisine with a delightful Southwestern twist, all set against a backdrop of Texas-themed decor. This lively eatery is known for its warm atmosphere and hearty meals, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Guests rave about the freshly baked bread served right out of the oven, along with their signature drinks like the Texas Peach and Kenny's Cooler.
Wow!! What can I say! We’ve been to this location numerous times before but this was the first time we had amazing service and food in a long time!!! Jamie was our server and she was amazing! She did great keeping up with refills and checking on us and getting our food out fast! First off, bread was fresh out of the oven when we got it!! I got a Texas Peach and Kenny’s Cooler with a kicker for my drinks. My boyfriend and I both got the Prime rib (Med rare), I got a house salad and season rice for my sides. The salad was so fresh!! Crisp lettuce, eggs were decently chopped, plenty of cheese, and the croutons were the freshest I’ve ever had!! My Prime rib was perfect! Great rub seasoning, plenty of sauce!! The rice was cooked perfectly and had great flavor!! I even got a side of lemon pepper butter sauce (used for shrimp kickers) and added it to the rice!! Delicious!! Jamie was even nice enough to give us fresh Au Jus for our leftovers! We didn’t even ask! She truly went above and beyond!!

Went out last night for my daughter's Birthday and had their Prime Rib smoother with mushrooms, Ribeye and Shrimp, another Prime Rib, Onion blossom, and of course can't forget the rolls. We came in and was seated at a table that wasn't cleaned and pointed that out to the server that took us there. She apologize and sat us at a different table. The table was cleaned but dirty napkins was still on the seats we just brushed it off and sat down can't play musical chairs all night. Our server Jae was nice and tentative. Prime Rib was pretty good, nice thick cut Chili was good, Onions blossom was good, green bean was good has that nice smokey flavor to it. Mash potatoe with that white cream sauce was good. The Ribeye with the shrimp was pretty thing didn't really care for that. Not sure if they back off the cinnamon on that spread but it don't pack that punch like how it use to, dont get me wrong it's still a good roll but not like how it use to be IMO. And because of the Ribeye, the rolls, and the dirty seating, and they didnt even do a birthday song thing for my daughter do for that I gave them a 3 star. Would I still go back definitely still a good spot to eat at with family and friends.

They've changed, apparently, like everyone else since the world went upside down. I mean, there's still about the same place. Steaks are still cooked to perfection! Service, it's not up to par, but that's the case everywhere, when it comes to service! nice girl was attentive, and all just don't seem to listen none of them do anymore. The chili, which was wonderfully flavored, very tasty, I actually enjoyed it, but it was lukewarm at best! Ordered the beer short got a big tall mug, order a glass of water with no ice came full of ice. The atmosphere even thats change to a degree, used to have nice wood floors you just shucked your peanuts and threw the shells on the floor restoring oil back into the wood of the floor from the peanut shell was the concept, to be swept up at the end of the night. Now you just get a little bag of peanuts the nice wood floors been covered over with some skid resistant flooring don't get me wrong overall I'd like the place for the big franchise corporate chains it's one of my more favorite ones when it comes to the big chain restaurants specifically the one on the south side I've always enjoyed, if I had to say I like big corporate chains this would be my most favorite one. I would have to say though there were three of us sitting the other night and we all had entrees and the two sides and I think everyone had a drink with alcohol or soft and still got out of there for well under $100 including 20% tip comparably speaking they seem very reasonably priced for a nice experience in a good quality meal overall

First time to try Texas Roadhouse and the place was wonderful. We ordered some ribeye steaks and ribs with steak fries and baked potatos as sides and everything was perfect. The service was perfect, Syndey served us in a perfect way. The atmosphere was great, overall 5 stars and highly recommended steakhouse.

First time my partner and I have visited Texas roadhouse and I have to say it was beyond amazing. Our server, Ayana was incredible, she made our night so much better, top tier service skills from her. She was on top of everything and was just a really nice person interact with! Our food didnt take long at all, and even while we waited we had plenty of rolls to keep the hunger at bay. I ordered the 12oz new York strip and it was to die for. I've been craving steak for a good month and the steak I had tonight was absolutely what I needed. I nearly cried tears of joy when I took the first bite. Definitely making this a regular date night spot!

Our server Taylor provided an exceptional experience. They were friendly, quick, and consistently checked in on us. Our drinks and bread were regularly replenished. The food was outstanding, with steaks cooked to perfection. The macaroni and cheese was delicious, although the fries were slightly over-salted they were scrumptious. The salad was generous in size. Will most certainly be returning for another meal.

Outback Steakhouse is a lively Australian-themed restaurant chain that specializes in serving up hearty steaks, seafood, and classic steakhouse dishes. Nestled along West Saginaw Highway in Lansing, this cozy location welcomes guests with its warm and inviting atmosphere. Known for its consistent menu that meets expectations rather than surprises, Outback Steakhouse delivers delicious meals every time. Many patrons rave about the attentive service they receive; one visitor highlighted their server Elena's exceptional energy and ability to anticipate needs without being asked.
We typically order curbside, but definitely eat-in our fair share. This time we ordered curbside. 20 minutes later I put my parking spot into the app and they promptly and courteously brought our food out to our car. The food was delicious, hot and generous. Salads were fresh, chilled and crispy. The bread was warm and the butter still cold. Our meal was wonderful and always is from Outback. I gave the atmosphere a 5 star because curbside parking was easily accessible, there was ample parking, the signs were readable with large print and if you need to go back into the restaurant a door was close by and quickly accessible. Great job, Outback! 🤩

I feel like outbacks are declining around the country. So the food is just average maybe below. Did I get sick, no, but did it appear apetizing, no. See pictures attached for portion sizes and appearance. I had the chicken and shrimp pasta and my girl an order of shrimp from the babie, but her shrimp had no grill marks and were super moist as though boiled instead of grilled. I think the worst part was the lack of care of the property which isnt a worker probkem but a management problem. Both trashes were overflowing at the entry doors. That should have been my sign as to what to expect inside. I would only come here for a beer and a bloomin onion but maybe not even then.
Grant F — Google review
It was a good time. I still think that the tail was very small but my company was larger than life and enjoyed their meal. All four stars during the last visit. I went again for a Father’s Day, and the appetizers were cold. the blooming onion was so greasy. The waitress needed a boost. When you have to ask for them to take your dishes, before they bring out the next entree that is bad. We still tipped 20 percent.

We have eaten here quite a few times for lunch usually every other week and everything was always fine. Everything was fine this time until we got our salads.. My husband pulled a foot-long Hair out of his mouth that came from the salad. He kept holding it up and talking about it, making me nauseated. When the waitress came back to the table, he told her about it and she apologized and bought him a new salad. I don’t blame him for the fact he kept talking about the hair he found until I told him to shut up. It was nauseating me and Ididn’t want to make me finish my salad. So I gave him the rest of my salad. The first bite, he took another hair was in my salad!!! I told him don’t tell the waitress because I felt bad for her if we complained about the other salad, having a hair in it. I also ordered the filet mignon and lobster. I ordered the filet mignon medium rare, and when it came to the table, it was rare. And again, I didn’t wanna be a complainer so I ate it without complaints. My husband called the restaurant later and talked to the manager about the incident. He did apologize and said he would give us $10 off our next meal. When my husband complained a little bit more, he offered $20 off our next meal! If that was my restaurant, I would’ve given two free meals. But I’ll never go back there again for lunch or dinner. A hair in two salads is just too much. It’s still gags me when I think about it.

Today my family of me, my husband, and our 3 children came in to enjoy a nice dinner for the holiday. We got our drinks and everything was fine. We then put in an order for 2 appetizers. The bread and appetizers were brought out and all was still good. Until our entrees were brought out directly after our appetizers. When this was brought to our waitresses attention her response was "yeah it did seem like that didn't it" not a single plate was removed from our table- we now had the bread board, 5 drinks, 2 plates of appetizers, 5 entrees, 5 appetizer plates and 5 cups at our table. We were left to navigate eating around it all. None of us were ever offered a single drink refill until the bill was brought when the waitress offered ONE of out of 5 of us a refill "to go" the entire meal was rushed and chaotic. We ended up bringing almost all of our food home just because we wanted to get out of there! It was one of the worst experiences we've ever had eating out. Needless to say we will NOT be returning. A complete waste of money and time!

A Cozy Outback on West Saginaw Hwy Laying on West Saginaw Highway in Lansing's western reaches, this relatively new addition to the Outback family is a real good restaurant. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting interior that's worth the journey in itself. Now, if you're a regular Outback visitor, you'll know that their menu isn't about surprises; it's about delivering on expectations. And this outpost is no exception. The menu sticks to the tried-and-true offerings that have made Outback a beloved chain. The food hit the marked the expected standards. But it's not just the food: the service was really good. The staff were not only nice but genuinely friendly, attentive, and quick on their feet. The prices are reasonable, making the whole experience a delightful one. You won't be disappointed. 🍽️🥩🍷✨

I’ve been coming to this Outback here and there for their seasonal fun drinks, and the service and food have always been good, but this visit was PHENOMENAL. Elena was a fantastic server with great energy, attentiveness, and service, and anticipated everything we needed without having to ask. I really hope we can have Elena as our server next time we visit, thank you for the excellent experience and service! :)
Emily E — Google review
Unfortunately, service was slow and there was a “glitch” to where our food didn’t go through and took an hour to come out. It was not busy. I’m not one to usually write reviews but the food was atrocious. My chicken was so burnt. Then, the staff turned the lights up to indicate closing as we got our food. We would’ve been gone before close if not due to the glitch in the system. Not worth the money and I definitely won’t return to an outback in the future. Things can happen in the restaurant understandably, but the food quality was absolutely horrible for the wait time.

Great family place to eat with adult drinks, great burgers, and milkshakes! I highly recommend the garlic steak fries, I didn't order them but tried my sons and I will be getting them next time!

I used to love Red Robin but I can tell the food quality and portions are not what they used to be at least at this location. I think anyone whonremebers thick burgers and excellent presentation can see from my two photos something has changed. The service was great and there were lots of people there. So there could be worse things like getting sick from food etc. After my food experience I'd say compared to what I remember about Red Robin this place is just average.
Grant F — Google review
This Red Robin location is nothing short of amazing. The food is excellent. I had a monster burger with garlic parmesan fries. The burger was perfect, with all the right flavors. The fries are to die for, and can be replenished multiple times if that is your thing. They have an allergen menu. For gluten free they offer multiple options and a separate fryer. The servers I have had have all been kind, professional, competent, and timely. The atmosphere is good but I think the music is too loud to be able to hear the person sitting across from me.
Ashley S — Google review
This Red Robin seems perfectly good. The servers are courteous and prompt. The food is always great. It's only a four star in comparison to the one I used to live near. The online ordering system only gives me the option to say I have an allergy, not to select gluten free for fries. It also doesn't have the option to ask for extra crispy fries. I haven't dined inside yet.

Ordered our food an hour ago and got behind on picking it up, I believe her name was Ashley (bartender) called and asked if she could get it heated up for us since it had been a while, when I got there they offered to completely remake it because I was so late getting it. So sweet of them and so appreciated. (Ashley?) was super sweet about the whole thing! Ate my nachos while the rest was remade and they were amazing! Thanks guys! 😊

Love this place. The Bacon Cheeseburger is my favorite. My husband got the Mushroom & Swiss. Wish we would have got a bigger table though, dishes piled up some making it pretty cluttered. But food was great as always! Update: we just went back yesterday and had terrible service. Asked for ranch for the fries twice, and still didn't get it until half way through our food, so fries were cold by the time we started eating. Took until the end of dinner to get refills, dispight the fact that my drink was empty by the time we got our food. Meanwhile, it wasn't busy & we had the perfect spot to see that the servers were standing in the kitchen chatting. Went to Lansing location specifically because it was the better location, but was very disappointed in service. Luckily, I really like their food so I will still go back.

We came on Fourth of July. It was busy. We’ve had a string of bad customer service lately. Not here! Our waitress was prompt and polite. Our drinks never ran out. She checked in routinely. Our order was correct. My youngest son said they were the best nachos ever! Every employee was polite and smiling even though we know it was busy. Excellent job. Thank you for making this a good experience even on a holiday!!

My husband and I came here for a drink and bite to eat. It has a large table area with a bar. You can go through to another room with the bar continuing. There are pool tables here and a few tables. All in all, nice sports bar. The drinks were good and not very expensive. They also have happy hour specials. The only beef we had was the food. The food is okay but way too expensive for the quality. The dishes should be anywhere from 2 to 4 dollars less. I liked the place but my husband didn't like it as well. The server was prompt and very nice -- Elizabeth.

I've gone here once a year for three years because it is just across the street from the Lansing Center, where the Capital City Con is held, and it honestly perplexes me that every time, the Nuthouse has been less than 1/4 full. This place is great! The seating is comfortable and spacious, the lighting is not nearly as gloomy as is typical for sports bars, the service is always friendly and timely, and the menu has an ample variety of enticing fare. It's a great place to relax with friends and family. I'm tempted to give this one five stars, with the one thing holding me back being that the quality of the food, though very good, is not at that top tier level. I wish I had a good excuse to eat here more often.

This restaurant is REALLY dirty! I took a motor coach group (43 people) to this restaurant last week. It was a complete mess from start to finish. This reservation was made well in advance and the menu was limited to make feeding that many people easier but it still took 2 1/2 hours to get food for my group with a handful of people taking their food to go so we could get home at a reasonable time. The restaurant was extremely dirty....so much so that you actually stuck to the floors! The woman's restroom was absolutely disgusting!!! I wanted to shower after leaving that room! We had one server who wasn't very friendly, especially when people started to get angry about how long they were waiting. (Another girl helped occasionally but wasn't our server and only showed up twice, once to help with drink orders and again to run some food out.) I will never go back and recommend this place to no one.

This has always been one of my favorite places ever since I began working downtown. The Jack Daniel's meatballs are phenomenal. Whenever I get back in state now (not nearly often enough), this is a must stop. This last visit, however, left a lot to be desired. We received Eric as a waiter, and he was rude from the very beginning. We were greeted with "what do you want for drinks?", no hello or preamble. More than once, while asking him a question, he would simply walk away and disappear while we were talking to him. When my wife asked to speak to the manager, she was told no. The place was not busy when we arrived, although it began to pick up before we finished, so there was no excuse for his being so unprofessional. The other ladies helping out as people started coming in were awesome in caring for their tables, which is what we're used to when coming here. Just an all-around lousy experience because of this guy.

Me and 2 others, went here for a bite to eat before a baseball game. There's only 3 of us and we ordered wings egg rolls. Took like 30 minutes for all of that. Finally when we get are food, my father tries the fries and immediately says there horrible and are feel like chewing rubber. My wings were super dry. And all of that cost $60!!! Worst place I've been too.

Sides too small, waited 45 minutes until food arrived, mold on nachos, nasty food in general, server was not good and messed up our tracks, and everyone is sick! The only good thing was walking out.

One of the best spots to go eat, meet up and chill regardless of what's going on. On a recent visit we had a bunch of the small size pizzas and a huge salad. I wouldn't call it gourmet but it was tasty, maybe a lil overdone but it wouldn't stop me from ordering again. Nuthouse is an everybody friendly place. After eating we sat out on the patio/deck because it was a beautiful day. If you like people watching you'll enjoy it especially on game days. The ballpark is just across the street which is where everyone seemed to be bustling to.

Chicken, shrimp, salads, Hamburgers, appetizers ,desserts and a wide variety of alcoholic beverages , the staff is very friendly and helpful , my only complaint was preparing of the food was slow. Looking forward to returning soon.😀

First time to try LongHorn Steakhouse and the food was good. I got a Ribeye steak 20 Oz with some fries and steamed broccolli, and the steak was good. I had also some chicken as an appetizer with some hot sauce, also was okay. Overall, a nice place to visit and enjoy a steak.

I went to Longhorns about 3 weeks ago, met the district manager and had a great long conversation with him, he was working the door. After he seated me and put me in the hands of the worst waiter ever. He was a guy that would gain a 1.00 tip from me at the end of the night for being very rude, combative when I’m asking to skip the triple sec in my drink and so on. This night I ordered my steak but not well medium well cooked in butter extra seasoning, it was nasty not cooked in butter or extra seasoning like it always is. I can taste the animal in the meat, also it was so bloody. My salad wasn’t good my food just wasn’t its best. Now skip to Sunday 11-02-25 I met my family there and hues who their waiter is ;/ yep old boi from 3 weeks ago, he was horrible and I asked him for a menu he said give him a minute which was 10 so I went and got my own, he never said hello asked if I needed anything so I found someone walking and gave my order, it was the lady District manager… when I tell you she took that entire order and got it right and never wrote it down and my food was so good. I had rice, potato loaded, grilled chicken and salad … it was good. And my drink was ordered by my favorite waitress who wasn’t even working as a waitress this day but a bar tender, who made my drink exactly how I asked…. Ms. Kelly. She’s always kind when I go there also Jenny was a waitress helping out and she was an amazing waitress. Ty to all the great staff. I’ll share my 3 wk dinner pics

We were lead here on a gift card from work. We had a choice of Darfen Restaurants. The steak was raw. They offered to re-fire, we declined. You are a freaking steak house, if you cant get it right the first time, I'm not going to let you have it back to mess it up more. We were charged full price for this meal that we have to recook at home. They could of offered a discount for this terrible food.

Tonight: My wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary in part by having dinner here and it was fantastic! Our server Katie was perfect. She helped us with the menu and our order order and everything came out great - our compliments to the chef! 2024: We had a great time. I had the porterhouse cooked rare and it was perfect. My wife had the ribeye steak and ordered it medium rare and it came out rare but they took it back and fixed it up for her and it was excellent. The brussel sprouts and asparagus were not only excellent, but there was more than just a few asparagus there, not like in many other restaurants.

We went for my bday dinner that happen to be Mothers Day as well so it was semi busy… our waiter delivered us good vibes and hospitality Azalia was her name (if I remember correctly) I ordered the Ribeye steak and asked for medium rare but more on the rare side .. couldn’t be happier with the flavor and the tenderness of it and to top it off the grilled fire corn on the cob was absolute delicious! It’s an all around good service and atmosphere.

Logan's Roadhouse is a casual dining chain that serves up classic American fare, including mouthwatering burgers and tender ribs, all complemented by their signature cocktails. Diners rave about the generous portions, especially the Logan steak and Loganoff Stroganoff, which features a delightful sauce and ample steak in every bite. The made-from-scratch yeast rolls are a must-try; they consistently receive high praise for their fluffy texture.
One of my most visited restaurants. Some of my favorites are no longer on the menu, but my go-to Roadies still are. Today I tried the Cajun Chicken & Sausage Alfredo. Very good. Top notch Rolls too. I do kind of miss the peanuts 😂

Great place. I only give it a 4 because my mash potatoes looked like the plastic version from a kids play set but everything else was great. I like the hard cement flooring, the progressive baby changing station in the mens room, the kind staff, etc. My food was prepared well. We started with chicken wing appetizer and it was great. I had the sirloin steak which was moist and soft, cooked to specs with very little seasoning though which depending on the person you may or may not like I suppose. The dinner rolls are great but don't take em home as they don't reheat well. I will definitely be back again sometime as prices were reasonable.

First time to try Logan's Roadhouse and the food was tasty. I ordered a medium well ribeye steak with fries and steamed broccolli as sides, and the steak was good. The steak is tasty, but not the thickest cut. Overall, the place is good and the food was tasty.

Haven't been to a Logans in years and thought we'd try it out. We got the Spinach Artichoke Dip for an app, I got the 6 oz top cut sirloin w/ garlic butter, garden salad and fries as sides. My food wash delicious. My husband got one of the combo plates with ribs and chicken. He said the ribs were dry. The place itself could use to cosmetic updates.

Hostess and waitress were very friendly. The rolls were good. However, not as good as Texas Roadhouse. 😏 Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides (rice & broccoli) were good too. Overall, this was a great experience! Too bad all the Logans by us have closed.

Logan’s Roadhouse really delivered! My steak was cooked to perfection, and the salmon add-on was excellent—flavorful and well-prepared. Our server was great: friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and clearly well-managed. A great dining experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve ordered from here several times getting the family meal. It’s always decent food. They forgot my cheesecake and instead of correcting it they told me to get my money refunded and then reordered. Absolutely not. Your mistake you fix it, that simple! Take accountability for your actions and your mistakes. Due to the rudeness and unresolved situation you have lost my business.

Great restaurant. It is mostly wood, and with the great number of taxidermy on the wall, it truly feels like a lodge atmosphere complete with fireplace. My friends and I only ate appetizers, including boneless wings, cheesebread, and pretzel bits. All of them were amazing in taste. Our waitress was fast and timely in every way. The first time I ate here it was one of the best meals. Unfortunately, the second time is was bad. I ordered a burger well done. The burger was pink but my husband decided he would still eat it. By his second bite it was raw hamburger meat. The manager offered 1 free dessert but we declined since we need a meal and live far away so no place to store a dessert. My daughter got chicken nuggets total cost $20. Dang, I will skip Leo's if ever back in town.

I got the bison half pound burger. I got mine medium rare with a slice pepper jack cheese. First time having this meat and it was not a disappointment. It was so good so juicy much better then beef. Leo’s burgers are some of the best you’ll find anywhere. We had the olive burger and the patty melt. The sear on the meat was fantastic. It was cooked perfectly medium. We were there on a busy Friday evening. The wait staff was hustling and still very friendly. The decor is like a lodge — but then that’s in their name, right? Still, a little updating without losing the “lodge” theme would be nice.

Service was very slow even though we were the only ones in the dining area. Had a coupon for buy one lunch, get one free. Lunch ended at 2pm, although server was kind enough to let us use the coupon even though it was 2:20pm. Ordered lasagna and chicken parm. About 10 mins later, server came over and said we couldn’t use the coupon because those were “dinner” items, and the order had already been started so we couldn’t reorder. Thought about leaving but heard the lasagna was great and we were hungry. Food was underwhelming…chicken parm was simply a frozen chicken patty with some sauce thrown on top. Side of spaghetti was watery and flavorless. Lasagna was about as good as frozen. For $15, I expected it to be much better. Cheese was not good quality and the meat sauce was not flavored well. The one breadstick was so dry that I didn’t eat it. Our bill was 40 bucks…ridiculous for the quality of the food. Very disappointing. Will not be returning.

We originally contacted Tony M’s back in May to reserve their banquet room for my father’s 70th birthday celebration, scheduled for July. At the time, we were told that hosting the event on a Friday evening would be no problem, as Saturday was already booked. Over the following months, we discussed several details with staff, including decorations, music, and food orders. We were never asked to provide a deposit—only informed that a minimum spend would be required for use of the banquet room. Just one week before the event, we were unexpectedly contacted and told that the banquet room had been double-booked. We were informed we would now have to share the space with another party. When we declined that option, they offered to move our party into the main restaurant, which we also declined. We were then told they would try to relocate the other party instead. After a day or so with no update, we were finally informed via text that the other event is a funeral, and as a result, they would be given priority access to the banquet room. Our only remaining option was to move the birthday celebration to the outdoor patio, which we respectfully declined. We have since secured the banquet room at One North and are looking forward to celebrating there. We’ve hosted events at One North before and have always had a great experience. That said, it’s incredibly disappointing—especially for my dad, who had his heart set on celebrating at Tony M’s. Unfortunately, the lack of organization and communication on their team’s part left us with no choice but to take our business elsewhere. EDIT: I’m even more disappointed by the response provided in this review. I’ve attached a screenshot of our text exchange with Melanie for reference. What’s most frustrating is the continued suggestion that a deposit was expected—at no point was one requested from us. In fact, our new venue asked for a deposit upfront, which we were happy to provide. Had that been the case here, we would have done the same.

So I noticed that I don’t do a lot of pizza reviews so here it is folks! I got the blt pizza and just a plain cheese just to get the basic so I get an accurate rating. The blt was not my favorite but if that’s your thing I rate it a 6/10 Now the cheese pizza honestly was great I thought so I’ll say 8/10 It was so cheesy and the sauce was tangy and delicious. The crust was not as crispy as I personally like but to each it’s own. All in all it’s pretty fair to say that this place has got a good pie! Keep up the good work guys and I’d love to have some more

Steak 'n Shake is a beloved chain that specializes in mouthwatering steakburgers and indulgent milkshakes, all served in a charming diner-like atmosphere with a nostalgic twist. Many visitors rave about the deliciousness of their shakes, although some find them to be on the smaller side and not quite worth the price tag. The burger experience often exceeds expectations, especially with their unique smashburger technique that delivers an explosion of flavor thanks to quality ingredients and toppings.
Smash Burgers before there were smash burgers. This is a kind of out of the way Steak N Shake, next to Lowe's. No employees to ask questions, you order by touch screen and pay with a card. If the options you want are not encoded on the screen, you are SOL. Every funnier, the screen asks if you want to leave the computer a 25% tip. Lol, you can't make this stuff up. Shake - still the best fast food shake, but they are starting to change the formula and fill it with foam. I suspect that in another year or so, it will be all foam like McDonald's. Steak Burgers - still good. Thin patties, with nice seasoning. Fries - shoestring fries, totally crispy. Simply the best. Looks like those great salads are gone now. Besides the shake, all the other food here is still great. Recommended, but with reservations.

Normally have a good experience here and I wouldn't be posting if this wasn't the best way to get in contact with someone but we paid for a lot of stuff we DID NOT get. . . 2 sides of honey mustard 2 sides of frisco sauce 1 large sprite Lettuce on 2 burgers Tomato on 2 burgers Onions on 2 burgers Xtra cheese on 2 burgers There was defiantly some drama going on as there was 5 employees plus manager inside the window and then no employees inside window so I'm not sure what was going on but got home and was disappointed in what we ordered and paid for versus what we had. And I added a picture of our large fries ... spent $40 on this plus a chicken tender meal and milkshake to which we didn't get any ranch for.

I have not been to a Steak 'n Shake in a long time. After seeing the ads about their new fries I thought I would give it a try. I was, quite frankly, amazed by the quality of the burger. I was not expecting much, but the smashburger approach along with the cheese and condiments came together in a very flavorful burger. The fries also are good, although I can't say they were dramatically better than what I've experienced in the past. Putting together a combo with a drink came in at less than $10. The only criticism is how long it took for the food given the fact that it was not very busy. Overall a good experience and I will return.

This was a mixed experience. I hadn't been to a Steak n' Shake since January 2018. They still had a wait staff then. I entered the restaurant and was introduced to kiosk only ordering. The kiosk was easy to use and had multiple to use. They had one designated for cash as well. My biggest complaint was why they were asking for a tip, when there is no service? You order from a kiosk and pickup your order from the pickup station. You also must take care of your own trash. The dining room was spotless, but they neglected to fill up either ketchup dispensers. I observed several customers attempting to get ketchup, but were unsuccessful. I'm unsure why there was a scanner at the drink station. It didn't do anything. The food took a little while to prepare. When it came out, my bread was a little blonde. I could here a manager asking why the bread looked like that. She should've taken it from the employee to correct the issue. She just let it go. It turns out that they used too much butter, as it was extremely greasy for bread. The fries were hot and delicious, even though they would be better with ketchup. The Frisco Melt would have been great if they didn't use so much butter as mentioned before. I used to love Steak n' Shake, but will have to pass on this location. I would be willing to seek out another location, if one exists.

Sorry, but this was an absolutely horrible experience. I ordered the garlic burger and it wasn't even edible. There was so much sauce on it I couldn't pick it up. The buns were were completely saturated. There is no way it was an accident. It got on the seat of my truck because it leaked through the box and the bag! Also the service was terrible. I ordered a shake and they didn't hand me a straw so I waited for them to notice I hadn't pulled away from the window yet. They saw me and just walked away. I knocked lightly on the window and the guy came unglued, literally threw the straw at me! I won't be back to this location ever.

Took 30 min to get a burger and fries. Should be part of a slow food chain not fast food chain. Food was bunce expect for the shake. But even then half of it was whip cream. Don't recommend it thought all the other reviews were just complaining but they were right. Also terrible atmosphere the workers won't even talk to you. You order on a screen. Steak n shake more like mistake n never come back!
Gage C — Google review
What a sad place Steak and Shake has become. Wait staff replaced by a kiosk. No vibes, just the occasional shouting from the kitchen when a lucky guest gets their name called. We waited 30 minutes for the order and it was wrong. Wrong burgers, wrong patties. We all got onion rings though we didn’t all order onion rings. I got 6 little scrawny ones and the others got 10 and 12 rings. The drink station and pickup counter was a mess. Shake was light on toppings.
Sean H — Google review
Steak 'n Shake is now completely devoid of customer service. Kiosk took my order, food was dropped at the pick up window, and the staff couldn't have turned their backs quicker before checking to see if I needed anything else. Additionally, the food was poor. The fries weren't that classic golden brown crispy thin fries from Steak 'n Shake. Mine were limp and looked like they were still frozen; completely opposite of what Steak 'n Shake is known for. Lastly, this franchise was dirty. Dead bugs on the windows sills, dirty seats and tables, and overall looked grime-y. Over it was sad. I brought my son to share in memories of getting shakes and fries as a teenager from Steak 'n Shake, and couldn't have been more disappointed. This experience has forever stained my memory of this establishment. I will likely never eat here again.

Capitol City Grille is making a notable comeback, showcasing its potential after overcoming previous challenges. During a recent visit, I found myself at the bar in a quiet atmosphere, contemplating whether to explore other options. However, my decision to stay proved rewarding as the friendly bartender provided attentive service. I ordered the Steak Frites with modest expectations and was pleasantly surprised when my meal arrived within just ten minutes—hot and fresh!
Giving a great review as they earned some redemption after past poor reviews. Sat at the bar, place was dead, almost left to walk down the street and try something with higher reviews but decided to stay. Bartender was friendly and attentive enough. Ordered the Steak Frites with little expectations. Food came out within 10 minutes, hot and fresh. My first thought was that the dish looked like it was outdated, fries just had flaky salt and parsley, maybe some truffle oil and Parmesan would kick them up? However, as I dug into the Steak with Chimichurri, I quickly realized that more complexity would complicate the dish. I really thought they did a nice job on both service and food quality, especially for a hotel restaurant. If you’ve been disappointed in the past, maybe try again. The menu lacks options, but I’d rather have higher quality food and only a few specialty dishes.
Matthew D — Google review
I ate here while staying at the hotel, but unfortunately, the experience wasn’t great. I had to flag down the hostess multiple times before anyone helped me. Eventually, I placed a to-go order at the bar and went with the NY Steak with broccolini and potatoes. After waiting about 30 minutes, my food finally arrived but without the potatoes. I had to wait another 20 minutes just to receive a small 3oz cup of them. The waitress explained that potatoes are no longer included with the steak meal and that the menu hadn’t been updated to reflect that. The food itself was just okay. The steak was decent, but after all the waiting, I was too tired to go back downstairs when I realized they hadn’t given me any utensils. For over $50, the meal felt underwhelming with minimal sides, an average steak, and a lot of unnecessary hassle.

Me and my friends got there at about 6:30 and we ordered (I got mozzarella sticks) we waited an hour and got our food at like 7:25 they had low staff and my food was a little cold and they brought me the wrong sauce and my food was really chewy (it took me more than a minute to chew it) and they just weren’t really good. And I ordered a drink and water and never got my drink.

Can't speak to the food because I decided not to stay. Had a very nice lady start out being my server. But then, some lady named Amanda told me she was waiting on me? Fries were hot and crisp with pillowy center and the chicken sandwich was craggy and delicious. Place was dead mid week for a conference but much better than years prior. Would I order the porterhouse? Probably not, but I still recommend.

We came down for breakfast and found out it was buffet, after checking it out we decided it wasn’t worth $15 a person for gross bacon, pancakes and some dried potatoes. So we tried again for dinner. After being seated the waitress slapped some menus down and said I’ll be back in a minute, she never came back after 10 minutes we left. There were only two other people in the whole place. The food was way overpriced.

I’m here for a conference and got lucky enough to order a carry out for dinner. Halle took care of me and she’s the sweetest thing ever! The food is amazing, we were told it’s only been open like a week because of the hotel rebranding, so just pack your patience.

Sunday morning breakfast and about 6 tables full in the entire place. We waited an hour for our food. We had to ask about it and our waitress didn't even remember what we ordered. She came right back with our extremely cold breakfast. It had to have sat waiting for well over a half hour based on the temp. The omelet was cold, not warm, cold. The toast was cold. We got up and left. When made the waitress aware she gave us a very unconcerned sorry as she kept walking by us, not even stopping to hear the problem.

Ordered lasagna to go and if the order had not been put in I would have canceled. It was my first time there after living in Lansing for over 30 years. We spent about $90. It was not worth it but I will try again. We also had bruschetta. The toast was somewhere in between almost toasted and enough to seem stale. meh. Best thing on the menu was the lasagna I took home to eat. Maybe hamburger nights will be better.

Went for a family dinner. Could tell instantly that the server was probably new, not a big deal. Asked about a side that wasn’t delivered and said it would be another 20 min. It wasn’t brought out until we were leaving. I would go back, because I think the food that I ordered was good. Had the Crazy Alfredo.

This place needs new employees and definitely has gone down hill with their pizza. $24 for a burnt pizza. Wife went for a pizza and got ignored by multiple waitresses. I always tip but not when you act like people don't exist. I will never go back or give them another dollar of my money. So many places to get good food/pizza in the area I will not deal with terrible customer service to eat food. Done.

My first time there and I was impressed. Haley was an awesome waitress! Food was great!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Falsetta’s Casa Nova is hands-down one of Lansing’s best-kept secrets. The food has been consistently amazing—classic Italian comfort done right, with rich flavors and generous portions that never disappoint. But what truly sets this place apart is the service, especially from Mikayla. She’s an absolute standout—friendly, attentive, and always on point. Whether it’s remembering your favorite dish or making sure everything’s timed perfectly, Mikayla brings a level of care and professionalism that elevates the whole experience. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home but delivers restaurant-quality excellence, Falsetta’s is it. Highly recommend!

Service was amazing our server was so nice. Quality to quantity to price ratio. Quality: 10/10 Quantity: 12/10 Price: good/fair/reasonable The price to quantity ratio now adays is always terrible. Not here. I got pasta, shrimp and chicken for $17 and only ate half. That's rare in today's realm. The chili was 3/5 but the cheese bread and salad were also great. Highly recommend!

Falsetta's is a lovely establishment. The food is always delicious and the aroma is enticing. You can smell the freshly made food from surrounding buildings. I recommend going on a weekday at lunch if you don't want it to be busy. Also they have some events some nights.

Diner
Denny's is a beloved casual diner chain that serves up classic American comfort food, making it a go-to spot for all-day breakfast enthusiasts. Diners rave about their signature dishes like the Build Your Own Grand Slam, which allows you to customize your meal just the way you like it. Many patrons have praised the kitchen staff for consistently delivering perfectly cooked items, such as crispy bacon and delicious hash browns.
My husband and I came in today a little after 9am. There was only 1 server at the time. She was really nice, and got everything correct. She had a total of 7 tables and one of the tables was an older couple and they left after getting their drinks; the lady said very loudly that this Denny’s is going to get a 1 star review. I was very upset with them. I was a server when I use to live in Virginia. There was 1 server taking care of 7 tables and just because she didn’t come back right away to take their order doesn’t mean just walk out and complain loudly to the point of everyone looking at you and waking up a baby. I don’t know if the older lady is actually going to do a 1 star review today but I will say to just ignore that review; she was rude and disrespectful. I once had to take care of 10 tables at once on my own. People need to think of others not just themselves. So I’m sorry for that server this morning. But she was really sweet, great at getting everything correctly. I would love for her to be my server again.

I went with my significant other for a breakfast date that turned bad.. my food was overwhelmed with chocolate in the pancakes, His food was made multiple times for being undercooked! They served raw meat! It looked clean until we got to our seating as there was dirty tables and booths. I am not impressed. Did talk to a manager and got his meal taken off the total! Thank you!

I took myself an a solo date to Denny's. The food was amazing. Bacon came out crispy just as I requested. I was greeted and served with a smile. My issue is servers who have dog or cat hair all over their clothing serving food. If you know you have pets that shed and there is hair in you car or your house... don't put on your work clothes until you get to work. It is unsanitary to be in and out of the kitchen where food is prepared and serving food with your clothing full of pet hair.

They need to teach the staff to cook more than one strip of bacon at a time... Went on a regular Thursday morning. Not busy but took a few minutes to get greeted. Sat down and then proceeded to wait over 45 minutes for my food. I finally left without my food as I had other things to do that sit at Denny's for 2 hours. More people left without their food in frustration than actually ate there! The same with takeout orders they kept telling them that wasn't ready blah blah blah (people came back 15 minutes later to still wait). No reason with the amount of volume on a fall weekday in Lansing to have this kind of incompetence. Starts at the top with ownership and management. PS.... please don't ask me to contact any corporate numbers for more information. Reread my review if you don't clearly understand what needs to be done. Understaffed and not trained properly.

The server was on his first day on the floor, they kept seating his section. He was very sweet and tried his best but even though the manager was at the food window, he would not run food causing our food to only be warm on top and cold throughout. The staff was swearing at one another to the point that it was heard by everyone in my section. When I spoke to the manager he did not care just said he will take all the food off the check. Not a good experience except for the sweet server.

When we went they were lined up out the door, had two trainees and only one waitress and I think the manager that was explaining everything to each person and making sure they had a little extra time to accommodate. We were seated shortly after we got there and actually received great service. The food was great and the employees remained in pleasant moods, even though they were overwhelmed. I always love the food at this location. Rarely disappointed.

Ordered from here twice, the first time the food was great and still warm and milkshakes were delicious. The second time the food was cold, milkshakes were melted and watered down, the bananas for my pancakes were soggy might as well have been baby food. I've been calling for the past few days and the staff (mainly night shift) can't seem to answer their phone ever. Finally got through to a manager and she wasn't the friendliest and questioned why I didnt contact them before. Whoever made our food the first time needs a raise. Whoever made it the second time along with staff that night, do better.

The food was alright. The hash browns were super thin and over done with a very oily flavor to them. The eggs were also too buttery with the cheese incorporated into the eggs it just tasted odd. The bacon was very crispy and the sausage was cooked and tasted fine! The French toast was not that delicious to be honest. The coffee was very delicious and the waitress was very nice

If you're on the lookout for a laid-back dining experience that offers a delightful mix of flavors, PIAZZANO'S is the place to be! This charming bar and eatery serves up an enticing array of Italian dishes alongside American favorites like burgers, sandwiches, and even breakfast options. Whether you’re in the mood for pizza or something with a Mexican twist, there’s plenty to satisfy your cravings.
Recently enjoyed lunch here with a party of 8. We sat in s side section of the restaurant which we had to ourself- but it was rather chilly. The restaurant wasn’t too busy so our food came out quickly. 3 had the fish sandwich- they were huge! We also had the lasagna, shrimp fettuccine and a Mexican dish in our group. I had the menu highlight - the French dip with homemade chips which was just alright. The Italian food seemed to be the favorite at the table. All plates were generous portions. Prices were reasonable and service was good.

We tried it for the first time since the new owners took over. Walking in to the entrance, you could see the bar area was re vamped and looked great from the entrance as well from our table. They cleaned it up and added several additional tv’s. They took out the booths on the bar side and added tall tables and chairs, which is a favorite, though lacking foot bars, your legs just kinda dangled. Upon arrival at the front entrance, we were very disappointing to say the least. There were maybe 2-3 tables of customers. We waited for several minutes to be acknowledged, made several “hello “ calls before we were acknowledged and seated, all the while the staff was having a very loud grand time amongst themselves, though glad they were enjoying themselves, the take wasn’t very welcoming. The waitress, though nice, spent more time complaining about how slow of a day it was and not many tips. We ordered the blacken chicken pasta and a side salad. The salad looked amazing but there was nowhere enough ranch, for the size, and we were not looking to spend an up charge because the size of the container wasn’t sufficient for the size of the salad, however, even if we were, our waitress never bothered to stop and check or even ask if we needed anything else. The pasta dish was tasteless, clearly not blackened chicken, and nothing like it was in the past. Tasteless! It was simply chicken and fettuccine pasta and sauce, again it was tasteless. Very disappointing meal.

**I’m not a fan of alleged patrons loading the Google reviews with five stars ⭐️ for everything and no comments. Please ensure they have multiple reviews to get a fair and honest opinion.** I patronized this establishment for a business lunch and was seated immediately. My entree was the blackened chicken fettuccine Alfredo with garlic toast. The chicken was blackened and tender, and the fettuccine sauce was thin and bland. The low-top, bar and booth seating in open-room settings make it a bit loud. The service is good but uninspired. There is no credit card fee, and the prices are competitive. I will give it another try and get something else next time.

All these years living in Lansing and driving past this spot, I finally stopped in today to try them out. Wasn't too busy today so service was good. The atmosphere was nice. It's a small joint but nice and cozy. We ordered the 9" house special pizza, wing dings, and blackened chicken Alfredo. Just to try them out and what can I say food was pretty good. We'll be going back and trying out more on their menu. If you haven't tried this spot out, you have to stop in. Update: Went back to the spot, food still tastes great. But for today service was not good. There were a lot of waitresses kind of overstaffed IMO, but I had to wait pretty long just to get a refill on my drink because I had to ask a different waitress to get it for me. Brought out my artichoke dip but no chips, we waited for a bit before one of the waitresses noticed we didn't get any chips and she had to ask the guys in the kitchen to get us some. The new owner was on top of his game though directing the waitress to make sure they were getting the food out and not just waiting. Still will support this business food is legit.

This was a pleasant stop on a particularly hot day! The salad was fresh & crisp .... risotto seasoned well, although the scallops were overcooked .... all in all, a pleasant stop before hitting the road again.

My boyfriend and I have been meaning to come here for a while and finally decided to check it out for lunch today. The service was great, we received our food quickly. We both tried the Georgia Reuben with fries, which was delicious! The coleslaw was fresh, and the fries were seasoned nicely. The price was reasonable for the amount of food you get. We will be coming back for sure!

Ordered a wet burrito with no beans, had so much dryer beans on it, it was disgusting. Also ordered rueben rolls, meat was extremely thick and rolls not cooked all the way. Used to love this place, but lately it is going down hill fast!
