Nestled in the Yorkshire Dales, Tan Hill Inn is a renowned 17th-century inn that stands as the highest inn in Britain at an impressive 1732 feet above sea level. The rustic pub exudes a classic vibe with old beams, stone-flagged floors, and a grand roaring fire. It's also famous for its rich gravy and offers one of Swaledale's best beer gardens with stunning countryside views.
Excellent pub, highest in Britain as everyone knows. Good selection of beers. Very busy for food. Great motorhome park up with outside toilet and shower available 24hrs. We went on Thursday to the open Mike night. Some excellent entertainment. Lovely log fires and great ambience In a historic public house. We'll worth the journey. A big thank you to the excellent staff.
Mark S — Google review
Unfortunately, a disappointing experience. Yes, the drive up and views are incredible and the pub has a good, traditional feel. However, that's where that ends. A traditional feel to the pub doesn't mean it can't be clean - even the cobwebs have collected dust. The food is alright but everything is order and pay at the bar, so should probably be a bit cheaper than it is. This is highly inconvenient as you cannot run a bar tab even when sat eating so the staff won't top you up on drinks. As a popular spot, we were queueing for over 10 mins to get a drink whilst the food was sat at the table getting cold. There was just one young lad waiting tables. The pub was busy outside with passers-by ordering drinks but barely any tables eating when we got there, yet we got a latte with no milk, a starter with two of its four components missing and of course with only one member of staff waiting tables, we were unable to flag him down to mention these and with a 10 minute queue at the bar - not worth bothering to wait and complain! Not the waiter's fault but for a famous pub, it's obvious they are catering for the masses and not worried about the experience. Besides, you pay when you order so you won't get any money off for any screw ups when settling up at the end! A real shame, it could be fantastic all-round, not just a high up pub in a pretty spot.
S A — Google review
Gorgeous iconic pub with nice stout in a stunning location on the borders of Cumbria and Yorkshire. Great night in out of the rain by the fire with live music and numerous excellent vegan options on the menu, including pie! Would have quite happily been snowed in.

Had an absolutely fantastic night at Tan Hill, first for a meal, which was lovely, then a tribute Oasis Band at 9pm. Great service. Very remoteplace, but amazing. Pitch black outside, no light pollution for miles. Highly recommend.
Bfcuk1 — Google review
Walked directly into and through a yellow weather warning for 4 hours to get here on the Pennine Way, through the bogs on the north side. Sat by the fire drying for many hours and sewed together my bag strap. Met some wonderful folks in the pub and camped out back.
Biro C — Google review
Great staff, quick service, good food . Fab atmosphere, we ended up staying overnight in our camper van. ( Cost £10 for charity) Will definitely be going back. Amazing views too.
Andree C — Google review
Had a great night at the Inn once again. Great food and a very good selection of Ale that I had to sample. The staff are all very welcoming and we had a good night of chatting with the other patrons. We were parked up with our little camper van so wobbly walk back wasn't too far. My only suggestion, we spent way in excess of £200 on food and beer but couldn't access the outdoor toilets as we hadn't paid for the camping. Could this code be given out if you spend over a certain amount on food at the inn? Not a complaint, just a suggestion. A great night with great people, good food and beer in a brilliant location.
Martin O — Google review
The Tan Hill Inn is so much more than just a pub—it's an adventure and a destination in itself. Perched high in the Yorkshire Dales, the journey to get here is part of the fun, offering breathtaking views that make you feel like you're on top of the world. Stepping inside is like walking into a postcard. The exposed beams, stone-flagged floor, and roaring fire create an incredibly cozy and welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for escaping the everyday hustle. The food is fantastic, with hearty, delicious pub fare that's exactly what you need after a walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside. I highly recommend the pie—it's legendary for a reason!

Hiking Trails
The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a stunning 4.5-mile journey that showcases the breathtaking beauty of Yorkshire's countryside. Nestled on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, this popular trail attracts both locals and visitors year-round with its enchanting scenery. As you traverse this circular route, you'll encounter five magnificent waterfalls and eight water features in total, all while following the picturesque paths along the River Twiss and River Doe.
What a great day out, really nice walk, quite difficult for older people, and a definite no for a little of disabled. But give it a go if you have good support and family assistance. They have a few places for a brew or snack, and even an ice cream van about half way. I think we took about 3 + hours, and walked about 4 miles. Do it you won't regret.
David H — Google review
Never heard of this place before so we thought we'd give it a go. Being in early October and a Monday it was quiet when we arrived, plenty of parking. Not the best of days weatherwise but that didn't put us off. It's definitely a trail that needs moderate fitness as it's fairly up and down with many steps, plus good boots are needed (especially in the wet as the rocks are slippery). But if you take time there shouldn't be any issues. Some amazing waterfalls with good viewing points. There are cafes at the start and half way round but the one by the carpark was closed. (Monday). There was an ice-cream van further up the trail. Overall a pleasant hike with great views. Is it worth £11 per adult? I'd say yes as someone has to maintain it.
Neil R — Google review
This is definitely the stand out experience of our trip. There are so many features and waterfalls along the route and it is well maintained. It was £11 per adult but i think this is definitely worth it! There was a sweet ice cream truck along the way (which also serves hot drinks!) and a full cafe and toilets half way. The waterfalls all had good view points and ability to get close to come. We would definitely return here
Lucy S — Google review
This walk is beautiful and follows a river full of waterfalls around a circular route stating in Ingleton. It is ideal for families with children who can walk 4 miles. The walk has been on private land for many years and costs adults £11 (in 2025) including parking. The walk has a nice cafe stop halfway round. I took a detour up Ingleborough adding another 6 miles, but it was worth the views. Ingleton is a lovely village with decent pubs, cafes and outdoor sports store. A great day out.
Gary P — Google review
Ingleton Waterfalls T was an amazing day out, perfect for enjoying nature and the sound of rushing water. The paths are well maintained and safe, though I’d recommend proper walking boots and a waterproof, breathable jacket (trousers are a good idea too). The full trail takes around 3–5 hours if you take your time, with plenty of stunning views and even small spots by the water to sit and relax. Dogs are welcome, but in some areas they must be kept on a lead, especially during lambing season. Facilities are good: there are free toilets at the car park and also a coffee stop there. At the top of the trail, you’ll find a café serving hot drinks, cakes, light food, and non-alcoholic drinks. Car parking costs £11, and tickets can be purchased on arrival. The last admission is at 4 pm, but it’s best to check the official website for the most up-to-date opening times. Overall, it’s a fantastic walk for nature lovers, with a great mix of scenery and facilities. Just a great day out!🌄
Mattik — Google review
Way better than I imagined..walk took 3 hours to complete, and we saw many small to medium waterfalls. Entrance at £11 IS good value, don't let it put you off. Parking is plentiful, with excellent toilets just before yo pay to enter.
CHRISSO F — Google review
The parking is free, but a entrance fees apply. The fee is absolutely worth it considering the work that must have gone in creating the paths, bridges, observation decks and walkways, truly a mark of engineering skills. Safe to walk if you are careful, and have good footwear. Not suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or anyone that isn't able to negotiate rocks, changing surfaces (which can be slippery) and heights! Amazing sets of many waterfalls of different categories, beautiful scenery and even a small snack cabin half way around in the middle of nowhere, as well as a lovely one towards the end of the walk. What a lovely village this is set in and surrounding areas are truly wonderful. Definitely go again as it's not the most strenuous of walks, and taking in all the sites and steady away take a few hours and about 4.5 miles circular. I will revisit in the winter when the water is higher, as I would imagine it's a powerful force to watch. Go check out this amazing place.
Mark — Google review
We visited the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail with a guest on a sunny summer bank holiday and really enjoyed it. Although the park was crowded, the walk is very rewarding. Parking is FREE. The only downside is that the ticket is valid for a single entry. it would be amazing if it could be used throughout the year, similar to some museums in the UK. Unfortunately, we also noticed some plastic bottles and dog waste left behind by visitors, which is disappointing. Aside from that, we had a great time and would definitely recommend the trail.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Austwick, The Game Cock Inn is a beloved traditional country pub renowned for its delectable British fare with a delightful French and Mediterranean influence. This charming establishment offers a versatile menu featuring classic dishes like fish and chips, fisherman's pie, succulent steaks, and an assortment of hearty burgers. Guests can revel in the inviting ambiance of the classic pub interior or unwind in the expansive beer garden.
Lovely location and great food - they fitted us in for a quick meal despite being fully booked for the evening. Delicious fish and chips arrived very quickly, definitely worth booking as others arriving not long after us (5:30pm on a Friday) were turned away.
Mike W — Google review
This was not our original choice but we decided to try somewhere new. It is located a bit off the beaten track but not difficult to get to. Parking is on the roadside and you can either end up a few hundred yards away or, if you are lucky, next to the pub. We were a large group of four adults and five children and were given two little comfortable rooms separated by a couple of steps in this historic and intimate pub. The menu is interesting, varied and not expensive with something for everyone. There is also a separate menu for those with gluten related disorders. We tried a variety of options and loved all of them, in particular I had the “sea crumble” special and it was delicious, plus I sampled a couple of pints from their choice of real ales. All of the children enjoyed their meals and finished most of it. The 14 year old, who can eat for England, couldn’t eat all of his pizza so that tells you something about the portion size! Unusual for a pub but there is also a small bakery on the premises with some of the most amazing pastries. Some of these goodies were purchased for eating at home. All of the staff are friendly, attentive and helpful to ensure you enjoy your time there. We can’t wait to go again. Thank you all at the Black Cock
Neal H — Google review
Fantastically accommodating with great service. It's a lovely old building with lots of small rooms, a bakery and bar squeezed in. We arrived on a Friday evening at about 6pm without booking. Although the place was packed and booked out, we were offered an outdoor table and main meals only, very fair I think. The food was delicious and the beer was great. The village is tiny with very limited parking close to the pub, but a few minutes walk down the road are usually lots of spaces. Lovely pub.
David — Google review
The room we had was bright, clean and tidy but the bed had seen better days and had a few other niggles.. Staff are great; food and drink good and tasty; not too expensive.. Location in Austwick is lovely but may feel isolated to some.

The best meal we have had in a long time. This place is a hidden gem, amazing food, good portion sizes and attentive service. Well worth visiting if you are in the area. 5 🌟

Aysgarth Falls in Yorkshire Dales National Park Visitor Centre is a picturesque spot featuring a series of cascading waterfalls set amidst lush woodlands. The falls cover a one-mile stretch of the River Ure and are best seen during wet weather when thousands of gallons of water cascade over wide limestone steps. The surrounding area offers opportunities for walks, woodland hikes, and picnics.
Had a lovely day out with family. Beautiful spot for picnic and nice walks. Everyone enjoyed the day. Falls are picturesque and scenic. We went there after a long period of dry spell so not much water .. still it looked stunning. Less water has its own advantages as we were able to cross the river using stepping stones. I don’t think it would be possible if the river is full. Ample parking. Take your own food and water. I will definitely recommend this place for picnics and walks.
Ashfaque S — Google review
This is the sort of place where every which way you look is another perfectly framed view just waiting to be captured. Perfect for an absolute amateur photographer like myself who needs all the help he can get. I would imagine it to be stunning at any time of year, but was particularly beautiful with the first of the autumn colour fringing the edges of the river. Another attraction of this is that it does not depend on good weather to be enjoyed. In fact a spell of wet weather before you arrive will leave the falls in full spate and positively enhance the experience. If you are getting down direct to the waters edge tread carefully. The rocks can be slippery when wet, particularly if you are watching the falls and not your feet.
Mark D — Google review
Lovely national park with some stunning waterfalls and walks. Best get there early though as the car park by the visitor centre gets very busy throughout the day during half terms or school hols. Nice little cafe in the visitors centre.
Mick S — Google review
Wonderful place to visit and explore. We did the short walks to see the 3 falls (all beautiful and a real sense of the power of nature), and also a route from the bottom of the main carpark which took us over fields to a charming village. We’ll definitely be back to walk the circular route to Bolton Castle. Highly recommend planning your trip to be there over lunch, the tearoom on the bridge was excellent!
Sam A — Google review
Amazing little haven, Yorkshire really is a beautiful county. It has 3 falls, top middle bottom. The middle falls is basically just a viewing platform, but the top and bottom can be accessed for close up and engaging views. Lovely place. Worth a visit. Parking is cheaper at the main car park. The cafe before the hill down to the falls is more expensive. Paid £7 for 4 hrs. N ya can get same for up to full day in main car park at bottom between the falls.
GEEK U — Google review
Amazing views. Falls Hotel is a great place to stay and eat. Wallace n Gromett lovers, defo go to Wensleydale Creamery, the visitor centre is Amazing too. The cheese is mmmmm-a-lisious. Not that far away, the picturesque scenery will blow you away.
Insomniac C — Google review
Beautiful walk and views of the falls. Lovely place to have a picnic. Lots of picnic benches. Best flapjack ever in the cafe and yummy ice cream. Parking £6 for over two hours
X R — Google review
This dog friendly place has been recommended by various people while we have been staying in the area. Reasonable priced Pay & display car park by the National Park visitors Centre with footpaths leading to the upper, middle & lower falls. Steps to the viewing platforms on middle & lower falls could be an issue to some but worth the attempt if possible. The noise from the falls, despite the low water levels was impressive. Would be worth visiting after especially after long period of rain. Woodland walks with various marked paths lead off from this area. Centre has toilets & café, plus more parking & The Falls Café situated up the hill.

Nestled in the picturesque village of West Tanfield, The Bull Inn is a charming country inn that offers a delightful escape with stunning views of the River Ure. Once a ferryman's cottage before the bridge was constructed in 1734, this inviting establishment features one of Yorkshire's finest riverside beer gardens. Guests can enjoy their meals outdoors or indoors while soaking up breathtaking vistas of the surrounding moors and fells.
We found this place last minute to grab some food on our way to see some friends. We had our dog with us too and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was just what we needed and tasty! One of the staff members was even chatting into us about one of the previous pub owners and she was so nice to talk to. She even let us take some extra dog biscuits with us for our onward journey. We will definitely be returning!

Good honest, friendly and welcoming pub with rooms. Beautiful bear garden heading down looking over the river, good choice of food and drinks with a family atmosphere. The rooms are typical for an old building, but plenty comfortable
SB — Google review
Friendly local pub. Set up mostly to serve food (which we didn't try so can't comment on). Staff were courteous and helpful. Had two Theakstons on cask and the Peculiar IPA was £4.80 which isn't a bad price. This place has the most beautiful beer garden next to road bridge over the river. Much of it was under cover so you are still able to enjoy it on an evening, which we did.
Sean H — Google review
Talk about being made to feel unwelcome in a venue! Visited today Saturday 11th October on what was a beautiful day where the only option was to sit in the beer garden and enjoy the best of the weather. With a dozen people sat out on the grassed area - it was a lovely atmosphere and a nice afternoon for a couple of drinks. A long while after myself and others had been seated out there a rude lady came out and ordered everyone off the grassed area because "the grass was wet", which firstly shocked me because the grass area has been open for customers every day this week - and suddenly it becomes an issue? Firstly perhaps it would have been a good idea for the management to have closed this area off in the first place instead of allowing people to access it after spending money - to then be abruptly ordered to leave the area. If you feel it is dangerous then you would still be liable for not closing the area off in the first place. Secondly it was your mistake to allow it to be open and accessible, then once you appear to rectify your failure, the correct course of action would be to personally visit each table and explain politely the issue, instead of shouting at everyone to get out of the area in front of other bemused patrons sat in other areas of the beer garden. To treat a dozen guests in this manner, and quite frankly embarrass them in front of an audience is a disgrace and has no place in the hospitality industry. Thankfully it was easy enough to leave our drinks, leave the venue and visit the Bruce Arms round the corner, where you also do not have to suffer drinking premium lager in a cider glass! My advice would be to take down that historical banner proclaiming you as "Yorkshires finest riverside beer garden", if you can't enjoy sitting in the sun without being ordered to leave - then its a claim too far.
Matt N — Google review
We didn't stay and if the food (over priced, not as listed on the menu, burnt and made both my wife and I poorly) was any resemblance on the rooms I am glad we didn't. Also don't believe the hype of award winning riverside garden as it looked like nothing had been done to it in 10 years.
Peter S — Google review
Room spacious, clean and well appointed, lack of choice on menu for dinner. Choice for breakfast but fruit provided really only for one person not two. Need to review policy if charging to room as we had to query items on our bill which we did not purchase. After we left they tried to bill us for an extra night's stay which we had to get refunded.

Red's True Barbecue is a casual canteen-style restaurant that offers slow-cooked meats with specially crafted rubs and seasonings. Inspired by a road trip to the USA, they have brought the true art of barbecue to their venue with near religious zeal. They are known for creating boldly flavored barbecue goodness, including their XXXL Smoked Wings and hot n' spicy Devil Wings.
I come up to Leeds for work and enjoy trying new places to have dinner. This place had a nice vibe and Mr Rodrigo was excellent in making sure I had what I needed. I asked for an amendment to my order and he made sure it happened. Great service overall. The food was great and I actually couldn't finish it all (this is rarely a problem but there was just too much food to eat). It's a shame that one of the store made sauces is not included in the order and you have to pay extra for them. They have free basic sauces however. Good selection of drinks but the root beer was out of stock the day I went. Overall a good experience and if I don't have somewhere new to go next time I am up in Leeds I would probably return.
Qaiser M — Google review
The service was good and prompt. The onion rings were very greasy and lacked seasoning. The chicken wings weren't that great either. The buttermilk chicken burger was delicious. We asked for the bacon to be removed and they happily obliged to do it. The waitress later asked if it was OK for all the meats to be prepared together. That was a very thoughtful gesture.
Amrita B — Google review
This place was a little disappointing. The burgers were too greasy to be enjoyable so I could only eat half. I found the seating uncomfortable especially because we were practically shoulder to shoulder with other diners. I understand the theme is supposed to be like a “rough highway diner” but the toilets were disgusting. The floors squelched when you walked. The highlight was probably the service, really nice staff and the food came quickly.
Trevelle — Google review
Food good, service fine. Only marked down a star because they put a 12.5% service charge on the bill at the end that you have to ask to be removed. The prices are already quite high for what you're getting. I don't mind leaving a decent tip if the experience and service is good but putting 12.5% on the bill at the end just spoils things a little.

Came to Red’s again recently for the first time in years. Husband had the pork tray which was fantastic, the sausages were unreal and that pork belly was to die for. I had the chicken burger which sadly was a bit bland and the chicken was dry. Had to steal my husbands food to make myself better. With the sides, the fries were great but the mac & cheese was weird. The sauce was super herby which wasn’t what we were after. The star of the show was those deep fried oreo - hot diddly damn they were incredible. I’d come back just for those. Overall prices are decent for the portion, but maybe wouldn’t recommend the burgers or mac and cheese. That pork tray though - winner winner.

Really happy with our visit to this place. I brought my fiancé for his birthday and it was our first time here - we both absolutely loved it. The portion sizes were good, and the food was absolutely delicious! My fiancé was extremely impressed with the milkshake which was clearly made with fresh fruit as it tasted incredible! The waitress who took our order was so friendly and warm. We really loved it and will definitely be back!

Excellent food, especially if you want to stick to a Keto diet but either way good value, good portion size, and tasty. What more could you want, except maybe a photo or two.

Server was nice, atmosphere was nice but we were sat right next to the toilets. Food took a really long time to arrive and got to the table barely warm. We finished our meal and had to wait another 20minutes for someone to come check on us. Food was really below average, meat chewy and bland

The Alchemist Trinity is a stylish venue located in Leeds, offering a simple international menu with a touch of molecular mixology. The bar boasts huge windows, fairy lights, and a roof terrace that provides stunning views of the city. Known for their creative cocktails and tongue-in-cheek augmented reality drinks, The Alchemist offers an immersive experience with cocktails like Tickle Pink, The Colour Changing One, and Bubblebath.
I had a fantastic time! Daisy was absolutely brilliant, guiding us through the menu and making sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were spot on, especially the Hipflask Sloe-Ja, which packed great value for the price. The atmosphere was buzzing, and everything was spotless. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing vibe. Food was so good and atmosphere 10/10. Drinks were spectacular. I felt like I was in a science experiment 🧪. Gave 4 stars on the service because we got give chicken bao buns twice when we asked for plant based ones. Other than that definitely recommend!!

Me and my partner came here for a few drinks on our anniversary and had a phenomenal time! Many thanks to our server Connor he went above and beyond with providing us with the best and genuine customer service which made our experience so much greater. He answered our questions with confidence and such enthusiasm which made it a pleasure to speak to him!! The drinks were fab as well, he made sure to tell us what to do and what was and wasn’t edible in the drinks such as the French kiss. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant was spot on as well and beautiful views from the rooftop terrace.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at *The Alchemist Trinity*, and I must say, it was an experience worth remembering. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the entire evening. **Food**: The food was simply fantastic! Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with rich flavors and fresh ingredients that truly stood out. Whether you’re a fan of classic dishes or looking for something a bit more creative, the menu offers a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes. I was particularly impressed with the presentation of each course – it was clear the chefs take pride in their craft. **View**: What truly elevated the experience for me was the stunning view. The restaurant offers a fantastic vantage point, perfect for soaking in the surroundings while enjoying your meal. Whether you visit during the day or at night, the view adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. **Service**: The service was top-notch. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything was just right. They made me feel welcome and comfortable, without being overbearing, which added to the relaxed ambiance of the evening. **Music & Atmosphere**: The background music was well-chosen, adding a vibrant yet laid-back feel to the restaurant. It wasn’t too loud, which allowed for easy conversation, yet it created a great mood throughout the night. The decor itself was modern yet cozy, with subtle touches that made the space feel special without being overwhelming. Overall, *The Alchemist Trinity* is a wonderful place to dine, whether you're looking for a casual evening out or celebrating a special occasion. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a captivating atmosphere makes it a spot I would highly recommend. It’s well worth the price, and I can’t wait to visit again!

Mine looked nothing like it did online, it was pretty disappointing,. . French Kiss was a lovely cocktail, although.. at no point did the bar man tell us that the tongue in it wasn’t edible!! Cue my partner swallowing it. Should probably notify guests of this. He’d had a few drinks previous to this and just presumed it was a sweet tongue covered in popping candy. We laughed when I asked and was told it wasn’t. His own fault. But a little dangerous nonetheless.

The Botanist Trinity Leeds is a trendy cocktail bar and gastropub-style restaurant located within the bustling shopping center of Trinity Leeds. The venue offers a striking interior and serves botanical cocktails alongside kebabs and brunch options. It's part of a larger complex that houses 120 outlets, including clothing and homeware stores like Urban Outfitters, Damaged Society, and Curated Makers. Additionally, Trinity Kitchen provides a rotating selection of street food vendors in an industrial-chic space.
We loved having lunch at The Botanist! We really enjoyed the meat and the dessert, but one dish stood out — the cauliflower! It was incredibly delicious! We didn’t try it this time, but we saw that there’s an option to pay a fixed fee and get unlimited drink refills — it seems like a great choice to enjoy with friends. The service was excellent, and we would definitely go back!

Fantastic food I love the Botanist unfortunately the Manchester one has shut but luckily my daughter has moved to Leeds uni. Good food on a adventurous menu I had 3 starters as a tapas, Calamari, Pork belly and Korean chicken every one was fantastic and also a good price.

I visited on Wednesday evening, and I believe our server’s name was Sam. This was my very first time dining out since having stomach surgery, so I was honestly a bit nervous. I have a lot of dietary restrictions now, and eating out can feel intimidating. From the moment Sam greeted us, he couldn’t have been more understanding or accommodating. He took the time to really listen, answered every question with patience, and made me feel completely at ease about my meal choices. It’s rare to feel so genuinely cared for in a dining experience, and I truly appreciated his kindness and attention to detail. On top of the excellent service, the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I left feeling not only comfortable and safe, but also so grateful to have had such a positive first dining-out experience after surgery.

Really nice place, great drinks selection. Food menu not too large to make it difficult to choose but has something for everyone. The hot sharing platter was excellent. Decoration is nice but why call a place the botanist and then decorate it with plastic plants. I mean come on 😖

Missed a star for atmosphere because it was a bit cramped. Went with family (grown up children) they accidentally spilt chips on my daughter (the bowl went over as they were putting it down). Well they couldn’t have been more attentive. The restaurant manager came to check on her, her meal was free and we got a free round of cocktails. Amazing customer service! The waitress was great too. Food was nice and so were the drinks

We really enjoyed our food here while shopping in The Trinity. Staff were fast and friendly. Food was tasty and we especially appreciated the two for one special on the hanging kebabs. The sides were really tasty too. There were plenty of gluten free options which I really appreciated. The drinks list is very extensive. I appreciated the variety although the cocktails were a smidge on the pricey side but that can be expected for the area.

The old coaching inn boasts original features and serves food made from locally-sourced ingredients along with cask ales.
Lovely comfortable stay! I had a cosy double room and it certainly was! The bed was very comfy and the entire room was to a high standard with an array of coffee and tea to keep me going. The pub itself is well kept, cosy and welcoming. The breakfast and dinner quality was excellent and extremely filling. All the staff were friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble!

The Afternoon Tea… wow. ‘Miniature’ versions of the main menu items, with an alcoholic drink (I went for the peach bellini) and a pot of tea or coffee, for £35! I was served soup, a steak pie, fish & chips, chicken strips, chips, a cheese steak burger. All with a jug of gravy, mushy peas & a hot sauce. As well as all this there were 3 desserts; a warm apple crumble, freshly baked scone with cream and jam and a mini chocolate cake. Mamma mia. The guy said nobody finishes the whole thing and always asks to take some away with them, which I reluctantly did due to having no room left in belly for rest of day. Bear in mind you have to book the afternoon tea 24 hours in advance but it’ll be the best meal you’ve ever anticipated. The main course meals I didn’t get a chance to try but they were the biggest finest looking plates of food you’ve ever seen. Shout out to the amazing friendly, funny and not overbearing staff who seemed to remember all their clientele even though most people are passing through for just a day or two. Dead cosy proper-pub vibes for a nightcap by the fire too on your way home. A million out of ten pub x

What a pub! I can’t rate the rooms but they have 23 of them! The pub is lovely, warm in temperature and hospitality. Staff are brilliant! The food was delicious! The best fish pie 🥧 I’ve ever had……including my own homemade. The food was a good size not too big. The coffee was also delicious! Love the homemade biscuits. All in all a wonderfully run pub. We will be back!

We had an amazing stay at The Lister Arms in Malham! The room was cosy and comfortable with lovely exposed beams, and it was wonderfully quiet. The bed was super comfy and perfect for a great night’s sleep after a big walk. The shower was hot with excellent water pressure (very important to me!) and was absolutely perfect. The food was fantastic—the Yorkshire Burger with chorizo jam is an absolute must-try! We also had the fish and chips, beef short rib, steak pie, treacle tart, and sticky toffee pudding sundae, all of which were five-star. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, with a really tasty fry-up and a great selection on the continental side too. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home in true Yorkshire style. Not just dog-friendly, but dog-enthusiastic! It’s also perfectly located—you can make it part of a lovely two-hour loop walk taking in Malham Cove and Janet’s Foss. Can’t wait to stay again!

Had a lovely 2 night stay in September. The room was very cosy and well stocked. There was a large bathroom with both a shower and bath, perfect after a long walk. The restaurant had launched their Autumn menu and this was delicious. I’d recommend the Short Beef Rib, which was fantastic. Very conveniently located for the circular walk to Malham Cove / Gorsdale Scar. Would definitely stay again.

No opinion of the accommodation as we didn't stop there but the food is of a very high quality and reasonably priced, as is the beer. Very cozy, with good decor and absolutely spotless toilets and facilities. This is a fantastic country pub
Dave S — Google review
Perfect location for Malham hiking and visiting the cove. Great service, atmosphere and people. Loved the dog friendly bar and dining, breakfast service included a sausage for the pooch which was a nice touch. It’s an old building so the rooms have some… camber? But they’re quiet and comfortable.
Mark H — Google review
Had a lovely stay at The Lister arms. The pub is really well located in Malham with great walks around and some stunning scenery. Whilst we enjoyed our stay I would question whether £180 for a bed and breakfast in a pub is the correct price point. It was good but did it really justify that price, I don't think it did. There were a couple of occasions were we had to wait for longer than expected to be served whether that was waiting for our Sunday evening meal or when waiting to be seated for breakfast. Nothing major to be fair and the staff were generally very accommodating but perhaps our expectations were raised based the price of the room. In summary a lovely pub in a great location with good food and a wide selection of ales but perhaps over priced for what it is.

Bundobust Leeds is a casual craft beer bar that offers a menu of Indian street food in a laid-back setting with bare brick walls and wooden benches. The venue, a collaboration between the owner of Bradford's The Sparrow and the chef from West Yorkshire's Gujarati restaurant Prashad, boasts a street-food vibe, DIY decor, and an impressive selection of craft beers.
The food was really excellent. We got a sharing-meal for three or four people. Can’t remember exactly but there was plenty of food and lots of variety in the dishes. Would probably visit Leeds again just to go here! The tables could be a bit bigger considering so many people get sharing meals!

I really enjoyed the flavors and creativity in the dishes, everything was tasty and well-prepared. However, I found the portion sizes a bit on the smaller side, and the seasoning was slightly heavy, especially the salt and MSG. With a few adjustments, it could be even better. Still, a unique and enjoyable dining experience overall.

“Shall we pop in here or get the next train?” Wow did we make the right choice were head No off to India in a couple of months so I joked it would be good practice. It’s actually a culinadelight of mini street food style dishes that blow ur mind. I’m a presidential member of the carnivore society but I reckon I could be very easily turned if.i lived near establishments like this. Oh yeah, cracking beers to boot 10/10.

I really wished we lived in Leeds so we could visit more often! Every time we are in town Budobust is always top of the list of our places to visit. All the food is amazing. My favourite is the panneer tikka and my wife's is the bundo chaat. This visit was just a quick pit stop on our way for the train so just a quick snack but we will definitely be back soon!
Andy J — Google review
This place is absolutely brilliant. We moved to Leeds about six months ago, and pretty much everyone we met told us we had to try Bundobust. After finally going, we now feel a bit foolish for waiting so long!— It’s not your typical Indian restaurant. The vibe is relaxed and informal, and the food is something else — creative, exciting, and packed with flavours we’d never tried before. It’s all vegetarian (with loads of vegan options too), but trust me, you won’t miss the meat. Dishes like the Palak Koftas and Mung Bean Chatpata were total standouts. One of the best parts is that everything is designed to share, so we were able to try loads of different dishes between the three of us. The whole experience felt and different, not your standard curry night out. And if you're into beer, you're in luck — Bundobust also doubles as a great little beer spot. There’s a solid range, from crisp lagers to punchy IPAs, and even a proper bitter. My partner loved their twist on a radler — a shandy made with spiced Indian lemonade. Oh, and did I mention the value? Three of us absolutely stuffed ourselves (with drinks!) for £20 a head. Can’t argue with that. Bottom line: if you’re in Leeds and haven’t been to Bundobust yet, don’t wait like we did — just go.

This is a find for me First time visitor to Leeds and was recommended this is nice and cheap So walked in and basically jt js branded as street food but I don’t think I have been to any part of india where some of there are sold as steeet food You pick a table and walk in and order and some food is cheap and place is full of students so I felt out The food tasted ok and I like the atmosphere Maybe as a place to try and whilst this is a vegetarian place it is ok I may not go again there

Absolute garbage food. But then again I am not a vegan. If you are and this is what you eat, bless you. We went as a group so wasn't bothered about the food, I was there for the chats, we did order but it was horrible food. Very pricey too, you'd think that the price would be for the value

Very friendly staff and a perfectly cooked steak. I particularly liked the dog beds available next to the log burner (although it was summer when we visited so it wasn't lit but our labrador enjoyed his visit too). Desert was delicious too.

We had arranged to meet friends for lunch at the Black Bull. They are from the south but were on holiday in Nidderdale, we live in Morpeth. Unfortunately our friends were delayed and arrived very late. Because of the lack of a phone signal in the area we were unable to make contact with them. The staff at the Black Bull were very understanding and sympathetic. When our friends arrived the staff were very welcoming and good with our friends young grandchildren. The roast pork lunch, meat pie and fish and chips were very good, however the roast beef was a little on the tough side - probably not helped by the delay. The 4 year old thoroughly enjoyed his meal. Everyone enjoyed the desserts. We met up at this hotel a few years ago and will no doubt do so again.

Visited with family for a lunchtime meal and drinks on a Sunday. It was lovely and quiet. A completely different experience to what you would get on a busy evening with party animals 😂. Service was super friendly (I think the bar was being tended by Lilly that day and she was so helpful and cheerful that it helped make the visit all the better). Food arrived quickly and it was really good. All had burgers. Definitely worth a visit for a daytime stop off. Nestled in the heart of the city, The Kashmir Restaurant has been a beloved culinary destination since 1958. This charming eatery boasts an inviting atmosphere adorned with art, making it perfect for casual dining. Despite facing challenges in recent years, it continues to serve a delightful array of traditional Indian dishes that have stood the test of time. With its rich history and connection to the local South Asian community, The Kashmir Restaurant remains a cherished spot for curry enthusiasts.
This is one of my go to Indian restaurants that I have been going to for years whilst I lived and worked in the area. On my recent visit to Yorkshire it was my Indian restaurant of choice and I was not disappointed. This is not a restaurant for those who want table cloths, fine cutlery and silver service. This is the place to go for good, honest, great value Indian food and a place to judge all those other over-priced establishments on. The portions are generous, top quality and at a reasonable price. A small niggle was that I ordered the chicken mughlai yet I received a meat mukhani. The waiter apologised and immediately offered to replace it for the correct dish however it looked so good that I kept it and I'm so pleased I did. It was delicious. Generous mixed kebab at £6.50, three perfect chapatis included with each main course and extras at 50p each with a Peshawari naan coming in a £2.20. Other Indian restaurants should be embarrassed at their prices. I have been to places where three chapatis cost more than this main course. A winner every time and I'm already looking forward to returning.
Birds W — Google review
2 Stars I've been to The Kashmir Restaurant many times. The selection of food is good, but the service is consistently poor. My last visit was so bad and rude that I couldn't even enjoy my meal. Known as either the oldest curry house in Bradford or one of the oldest, with such a high reputation, I expected more. Most days, a good amount of the menu is unavailable, and I've had to return many plates for various taste or freshness reasons. This place might be worth a try for its history or nostalgia for those who grew up with it. However, the food, service, and overall decoration don't compare to similarly priced, more modern, and much better service restaurants you'll find in Bradford, a city known for its excellent restaurants and curries.
Vegeta S — Google review
Pains me to say this this place is stuck in the 80s decor is terrible and faded the jugs for water are disgustingly dirty you will see for your self like there is mud on them the ketchup bottle is blocked filthy sticky and finger prints in the grime.bottle is blocked never seen a wash salt shaker has yellow stains on it and dirt we all wash up that’s never seen a wash in the years you have used and put it out on tables. what shocks the most is the owner blind this is why local curry shops are full and your place is empty service is slow slow imo it’s unhygienic waiting for my main and not feeling hungry. Never again to the owner this place was the places in 80 90s look at international your place is a dive menu is old it’s just a cheap dirty place do something you couldn’t pay me to eat there again. Horrible comes to mind ja dore international Lahore mumtaz Shimla compare your place and the service menu and decor you can not compare spend 80k get uk staff new menu and do something about your salad if you can call it that sat round looking at customers looking happy I was like some people eat any 5h1T

The food is always the same standard, great value for the price. The place isn't the cleanest, use your bathroom at home before you go... For a quick curry I cant complain. It's a go to place for me. The food always comes quickly.
Jonathan M — Google review
***EDIT 2025*** - Returned here on the weekend for the first time in 6 years. Agree with the reviews that even after a refurb, the place looks tired and dated. Cleanliness can improve - there were a few flies buzzing around ! Thankfully there's no stairs into a basement setting anymore with seating now on the first floor. We were served quickly, and received the usual complimentary salad, chutney and water. Food-wise, it wasn't bad but quality was lacking compared to previous visit. Ordered a mix of starters along with chicken and meat masalas. The seekh kebabs seemed reheated in a microwave. We left a couple as they were hard and chewy. The chapli kebabs were fine along with the fish pakoras. The curries were good but the rotis were very thin and small. It's sad to write as The Kashmir is Bradford heritage and will always retain its nostalgia value, but you'd rather spend an extra few quid and go to The International opposite just for the bigger portions and more hygienic environment. This was reflected by how quiet for a Sat lunchtime with only one other table occupied - in contrast to 2019 when it was much busier. 2019 review - Ate here at one of Bradford's oldest curry houses with the family for the first time. You may be initially struck by the dated decor and lack of frills - but don't let that put you off. The curries here will not have your eyes and nose streaming (unless you wish) so easy on the senses, and the stomach. Ordered the chicken masala and meat dopiaza with naan, and the portion sizes were generous and at a great price.

The Black Swan Hotel is a great traditional pub with free WiFi and breakfast. The rustic restaurant is also great.
Stopped for 2 nights and yes the rooms are a little dated, will not appeal to everyone BUT it was incredibly clean! Always what we want most in staying away. A very old looking rustic pub. Staff really friendly. Ideal for a quick visit to Leyburn. Parking not a problem. Would recommend.

Just had lunch here, had the hot beef sandwich with chips, sandwich was crammed with topside beef. Really lovely. Wife had the hot sauce chicken burger and loved it. Friends had cheese platter and prawn sandwich with Mary rose sauce. Everyone was very impressed with the quantity and quality of the food. Great friendly staff and excellent service.. we will be coming back next time we are in this area. Thank you to the staff here.

Stopped just for one night. Very comfortable room, the staff were all cheerful and very friendly. A good selection of cask beers. The cooked breakfast was fabulous. Plenty of free parking. Leyburn is a lovely village, no graffiti or litter seen. As a recommendation, if you wish to book a room, do so by phoning them first. Best way of achieving preferable rates. We will return.

We were passing though the town and thought we would call in for Sunday lunch. From the outside, the venue seems rather grand so we made the assumption that we would enter into a rustic pub, warm welcome and lots of locals having Sunday lunch. WELL!!! How wrong we was. We entered into the most eerie atmosphere in have ever been in. As we walked in, there was TVs playing, neon signs and not a soul in sight. As if the pub had been abandoned in a hurry. However we continued to walk towards the bar (even though there was no staff visible) hoping that our first impressions were wrong. It is worth noting that the children present also sensed a disturbance in the force when we entered. We eventually found who we assumed to be staff asleep on the seating area in the corner. We took this as a sign to leave and go elsewhere. Officially the most obscure pub i have ever set foot in. Will not be returning.

We went for Sunday lunch, while we were waiting, I was a bit concerned as the place looked a bit unloved but they are seeking new managers so that could explain it. When the food came, my fears were unfounded, it looked good and was delicious, a large portion for both of us, I had a Sunday lunch with beef which melted in the mouth with a home made Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings, my partner had steak and ale pie which was a huge piece and was very tasty, would definitely eat there again. I haven't rated the rooms as we weren't staying here.
Angela W — Google review
Never again..... dropped in at 4pm to see if they were serving food and we were told 6pm no mention of booking a table.Arrived back at 6 and after being told all the tables were booked , we quite happily sat in the beer garden ordered our meals at just before 6pm when food started, still waiting 50 mins later, which wouldn't have been so bad, but when we got it very disappointed, sausages tasteless, peas and carrots obviously from a frozen mixed bag and gravy like water , the only saving grace was the steak and kidney pudding my husband had. The staff were nice enough though.
Veronica M — Google review
Popped in here for some lunch, at first look at the menu I thought it was a bit expensive for sandwiches. Ordered a cheese sandwich and my partner opted for ham, I also got some chips. Sandwiches were huge, a full baguette with lots of filling. My partner had to take part of hers away with her, well worth the cost in the end.
Shaun R — Google review
Staff were nice. Food was well below par in my opinion. Steak pie was the only saving grace. Chips ok. Veg was very poor(frozen) Gravy was thin and tasteless. Mrs had scampi which was mush in breadcrumbs. Kids had mac n cheese. Milky and tasteless. Shame!

As the flagship pub of Leeds Brewery, it offers an impressive selection of their own cask ales. The picturesque courtyard provides a perfect setting for enjoying British classics from their ever-changing menu, made with high-quality Yorkshire ingredients.
A genuinely wonderful little pub. Pleasing atmosphere incredibly charming staff. Great beer well kept and expertly pulled. And frankly one of the finest Sunday roasts I've had in a pub. Great portions chock full of flavour and delicious season. Genuinely a wonderful meal. Will be back next time we're in the area

We had a great experience this evening at the Midnight Bell. We booked a table for 17:30, arrived early and our table was ready and waiting. Service was very attentive and friendly throughout. We both had fish and chips, the portions were very generous and we couldn’t finish them. At c.£45 incl soft drinks, excellent value for money.

We booked a Sunday dinner here last week. It's lovely. Our table was ready on time. We had table service for drinks and food by some lovely waiting staff. The food was beautiful. I had roast beef with some sides of cauliflower cheese, which was lush. Massive Yorkshire puddings too. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Popped here today for a few beers and a Roast beef Sunday lunch. The food was generous in size, really tasty, top notch food. Everything is locally sourced, service was excellent as was the beers.
Jason H — Google review
We arrived on a Tuesday evening. Every single table outside has empty plates and glasses on it. The 2 staff are just sat texting and clearly do not care about working. The entire time we were there not a single glass or plate was collected or even acknowledgment of customers other than when you go to the bar, and that feels like a bit much for them. Food was over a 30min wait. It was decent when it arrived but, for the abysmal and lazy service I will never return.

Came here 2 weeks ago for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed it. Returned today and not as good.My beef roast was tepid at best, can not understand why places can't serve food hot.Partner had pork,I had their crackling which was the best part of meal. Wouldn't rush back.

Best spot for Sunday lunch in leeds! The food is excellent and the staff are such a friendly bunch! When we visited there was not a single table free if you didn’t book in and for good reasons. Portions are great value for money and one of the best beef roasts I’ve ever had. My husband had the fish and chips and also said it was delicious. The midnight bell will now be a permanent fixture for our Sundays.

Great Ale and Home brewed beer on site. Lots of different, tasty, strengths to choose from. Very nice selection of house pizzas to try,a good choice to soak up the beer. Very popular place. Large and some outside seats available. The ales change daily, look at the electric notifications hanging up high. You can also see the indoor vats/tanks of beers in progress, for the next available brew. Close to Leeds station and well worth a visit.

A great find! Tapped was a sweet local (Untappd verified) bar in Leeds located centrally and close to the train station, perfect to chip in before our train. They offer various good beers from different breweries both om tap and not as well as making their own ones! The venue is laidback and the staff is really friendly. We opted for their GOAT pizza and their own Lieblings Lager beer and we had a great experience. A fun bonus being verified as well having an Untappd live screen.

Popped in here for a bite to eat Sunday evening. Nice pizza and garlic bread, enough for 2 to share with the 12'' pizza. Good selection of drinks but not much in the way of zero alcohol except soft drinks and a lager. They did have a couple ipas at 0.5%. Service was quick and friendly from the food side but the barman was very disinterested and seemed bored.

Return visit for Wings Wednesday. The guy serving us on our first visit had made it so simple to order and made no fuss about bringing us more wings. He explained the various options and gave suggestions on the best way to do it. We had a mix of a party, some having wings and others ordering from the menu and the orders were processed perfectly. The wings are really good, plenty of meat and the cauliflower option is excellent!. My only quibble is would be good to have a plainer option for those of us that are wimps in the taste arena!.

We did the beer school experience using a voucher we received as a present. Never done anything like that before and it was a very enjoyable experience. I’m not a big beer drinker but it was fun to try some new flavours. We also got to try some different cheeses which complimented the beers well. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions which made it a more personalised experience. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try something a bit different

The Traddock is a charming Georgian manor house located in the picturesque village of Austwick near Settle. This luxury hotel has been family-owned for over two decades and offers an authentic Yorkshire experience. The hotel's stylish restaurant, led by 3 AA Rosette chefs, serves carefully crafted seasonal dishes using locally sourced produce. With its regal decor and upmarket ambiance, The Traddock provides luxurious accommodation and an award-winning dining experience.
Beautiful hotel with excellent, friendly service. I’m not sure why a recent review gave them only 1-star for service because we found everyone really personable. A special mention goes to the young man in the restaurant who was always smiling and cheerful. He was such a delight! Dinner was fantastic, although I must admit we didn’t try the taster menu. Breakfast, however, was disappointing. The cooked breakfast serving was tiny, definitely not enough to keep you going on a walk all morning. Let’s face it, a quarter of a slice of fried bread is ridiculous! Be warned and make sure you have some muesli or granola first, just to fill yourself up. Considering how much we spent, I’m really surprised at the stingy portions. We go away a lot and breakfast is always a generous serving. This would be the only thing that would make us think about staying somewhere else.

I simply had to write a review for this wonderful establishment, even though I wasn't staying as a resident! The staff here are genuinely friendly and most welcoming. What truly sets this hotel apart is the warmth they extend to everyone—even non-residents like myself. My dog and I stopped by, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like valued customers. They were delightful with my dog, offering a proper fuss and a warm welcome.

Beautiful location and grounds, cosy inside especially in front of the fire. The food wasn't for us. Breakfast was nice. Lovely wine! Our room was large and spacious but needed some updating and the iron imprint on the carpet was unsightly. 99% of the staff were great, so attentive and very friendly. Disappointing that I wanted to leave some balloons for friends visiting a short time after us and was told you wouldn't blow them up for their room on arrival. Overall a nice stay.

We stopped here for a coffee stop mid journey . We had 2 americanos and a 2 scones with butter and jam. We were charged £ 21.60 . The Americanos were 3.80 each ( small cups, no pot of coffee) However we were charged £7.00 each for a scone with butter and jam( not home made) . When I checked , the price of a cream tea ( coffee/ tea and scone with jam and cream) it was £8.50 each , ie a total of £17 . However as we didn’t want the cream , it was added up per item and therefore it cost us £21.60 — £4.60 more than if we had ordered the cream tea ( ie served the cream , which we would have left ) !!!! Seems ridiculous to me . Lovely place , we were the only people in and the staff were really pleasant and welcoming . However the price we were charged was just , frankly laughable

I normally have a really good experience at trinity kitchen but today I decided to try a new food truck they have called ‘Asian heat Mexican Street’ and I ordered the birria ramen. When the bowl initially came out it looked pretty good and I let it sit for around 2 minutes whilst it cooled down a bit because their food is all extremely fresh. However when it came to eating it I found there was no broth under the noodles despite it being on the menu description, the meat was dry and there was barely even any meat just fat leaves of bok Choi and an excess of noodles. They were dry and sticky and I ultimately couldn’t eat it as I literally got given plain noodles with no flavour. The service was lovely however and the workers were so nice so all they need to work on is their menu items. Please don’t go here and get the birria ramen as I have been left very disappointed and mourning my waste of money since I’m still hungry after eating there. They also had really lovely chips so good on them for doing that right as well.

What a delightful place for a lunch/coffee break. Located on Brunswick Rd alongside Morrisons Food Market. On arrival we were made very welcome by friendly helpful staff. The interior is rustic-industrial with a good range of comfortable seating in three different rooms upstairs. Including sofas and chairs in front of a log fire, very relaxing. There is also a tidy alfresco area. The cakes are fresh and quite mouth watering made on site, the coffee is from a local boutique supplier. We were very impressed and will visit again.

If you’re visiting the Lake District do not miss the opportunity to drop by here! Dog friendly so you can bring your four legged family members too! Large seating areas, a vast amount of it is sheltered, protected from the elements. Lots of parking less than a minute walk. Staff are attentive, friendly and “nothing too much” take on things. Impressive knowledge base on the menu and dietary options. Excellent meal/drinks every time, we go regularly throughout the year and consistency is one of their strongest points for both quality and taste. Love to support local businesses but this place triumphs as one of our favourites because the food is amazing. Cakes/treats are a must have. OMG THE PANCAKES WERE AMAZING!

The George & Dragon is a charming pub-restaurant located in the picturesque village of Dentdale, just a few miles from Sedbergh. It offers cozy en suite rooms with complimentary breakfast. The establishment prides itself on using local suppliers for their ingredients, ensuring high-quality meals. Visitors have praised the welcoming and accommodating managers, as well as the delicious homemade food and local ales available at the pub.
Stopped here for a couple of drinks after walking up Whernside. Good selection of cask ales, draught beer and cider. We then booked in for food a few hours later - would definitely recommend booking as it gets busy being one of the only places serving food in the village at tea time. I got the steak pie which was incredible - full of loads of bits of meat and really rich gravy, services with incredible chips. Photo doesn’t do it justice as the pie top looks a bit burned but trust me what was underneath was mega!
Harry D — Google review
The young lad who served us was delightful. Conscientious and polite. Outside that the food was extremely overpriced, at best. The chips were cold and soggy, as was the veg. The Mac cheese bites were terrible. Prawn cocktail lacked sauce, did not lack iceberg lettuce. Worse than that dietary requirements were ignored despite checking on order and the waiter double checking with the kitchen that it wouldn't be an issue. When the food came, not as ordered, we were told the chef was "scraping it off". It was exceptionally busy however, if you cannot cope with the business, do not take the booking. Will not return.

Stayed here whilst on motorcycle tour of the area, staff were really friendly, helpful & what you want from a pub / B&B. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Danielle booked us in for an evening meal, cracking food.. The location is fabulous (MFN). I dare say I will visit again, although the Uk is a big place to explore. Many thanks. Stunning area..
Richard B — Google review
What an absolute shame that this potentially great spot was just a massive disappointment. The only things worthy of mention in a positive way are the staff especially Ellie who were really welcoming and helpful and a great location. The rest was just a massive disappointment. It needs refurbishing. It needs actually also just a good clean everywhere. From the bedrooms and bathroom to the teapots used at breakfasts and public areas. Really grubby and nothing that a bit of great housekeeping wouldn't resolve. The beds were more like a trampoline with rock like pillows. There wasn't enough hot water on arrival late afternoon. It ran hot for about 3 - 4 minutes an then was tepid. I could go on but suffice to say that staff make a huge difference to a place and basically that was the only asset that this place had. Food was, at best, mediocre although huge portions served. Apparently it's the only place that offers food in Dent in the evening so has huge potential. Just a shame that it's a third rate space.

Lovely traditional pub, loved the home cooked steak pie. The Barman and staff were lovely and made some kind gestures towards our children. They also sold us some milk as we had run out with the nearest town a >30 mins round trip away. Great that they serve food every day now too.

Our pizza chef Robin was extremely attentive, welcoming, and had great hair. I could not make decision between mushroom and queen Brie but robin stepped in and saved the day. Big up robin

Pub
The Falcon Inn, located in the picturesque village of Arncliffe, offers a traditional experience with its historic pub and private fly-fishing area. The inn's interior has retained its original charm, serving as the iconic Woolpack of Emmerdale Farm. Nestled in Littondale, the inn boasts a stunning setting amidst glaciated valleys and limestone crags.
Brilliant place. It's a historic pub/inn which has been renovated to a high standard. We stayed for 2 nights. Our room was perfect - clean, newly fitted out, very comfortable bed, good hot shower, glasses, cups, mirrors etc. The decor and furnishings are attractive. The staff are very good - really polite, friendly and helpful and our room was cleaned to a really high standard. The food in the pub is top quality and plentiful and I would absolutely recommend eating there. We had the most delicious food for our evening meals. The breakfast is fantastic too. Again it is plentiful and freshly prepared to a high standard. My poached eggs were perfect each day. The pub's selection of drinks is also excellent with a good range of gins, wines, and beers. My gin and tonics were presented really well. The location between Scarborough and Whitby and close to the coast makes it perfect for exploring the area and we did some lovely walks along the Cleveland Coastal path from Whitby to Robin Hoods Bay and around Flamborough Head where we saw nesting seabirds and seals. I cannot say enough about what a great place the Falcon Inn is to stay. Thankyou.

Lovely country pub in a traditional village green setting. Great beer (Timothy Taylor's) well kept. Good food. Indoor and outdoor seating so good all-year round. Dog friendly.
Stuart A — Google review
Room was lovely, bedcwas very comfy, food was ok, although eggs were a bit on the greasy side, the bar prices are a bit on the high side, the views are breathtaking though. If you book through Booking.com just be aware that the hotel rejects the money as they want you to pay them when you arrive there, we didn't know this so was a bit shocked when they asked us to pay as we thought we'd paid when we booked.
Mrs S — Google review
Very rude barman at the fete today - curt and impatient despite me being polite and decisive when ordering drinks. The rudeness was remarked upon by several other customers. It’s a shame people like this undermine the local businesses you try and support.
J.G.S — Google review
This rather isolated Yorkshire dales Inn was the original outside location of the Emmerdale Farm soap series and offers basic but well cooked and presented "pub grub" and rooms for rent. Friendly and efficient staff and parking outside and around the village green.
Derek W — Google review
expectations were for a better service for a pub in the middle of a touristy area - or probably tourists were not welcome? cold drinks only, fill your own water bottle from a tap next to the toilets

Google, its a pub, probably has rooms, but stop treating it as a hotel! Lovely trad pub, great atmosphere, really friendly, great beer, what's not to like!

Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen is a vibrant three-floor venue in Leeds' Northern Quarter, housed in a 1930s building that was once a nursery school. It offers live gigs, comedy shows, film screenings, and art exhibitions. The space includes fast food options, two bars, and a unique rooftop terrace with colorful picnic tables and lush plants providing shade and cool views of the surroundings.
Food awesome, top selection of food truck choices of pizza, wings and burgers. Lamb pizza off the charts. Often queues but good things come to those who wait. Great beer, good selection of seating options from beer keller style tables, to sofas to rooftop booths. Family friendly during the day. DJ appears to be in all days, good tunes so good vibes, laughter and chats for all. From IPA to cocktails so good drinks choices at reasonable prices. Gig venue upstairs, compact but perfectly formed. Been to both standing and seated gigs. Never had a sofa for a gig before. A revelation!

Enjoyable meals and excellent food. All worth it. Try something different. Price is good on the pockets too. The food is very good and good for family day out. The flavours are amazing. You have to try it and see for yourself. The price is also not bad. I would recommend.

Absolutely brilliant venue, not far from the A64 road from York. The venue itself has a large stage, awesome PA system with plenty of of big fat round bottom end. I attended the Boogaloo student night hosted by DJ Becky Webb. It was awesome. She kept the place rocking till 3 in the morning playing all sorts of classic tunes from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, creating a fabulous party atmosphere. Highly recommended and will attend again, very soon.

Attended the Rival Consoles gig here last week, and honestly surprised I haven't been here before. Venue was a good size, had an excellent quality sound system and staff were all friendly. Drinks prices seemed to be reasonable and downstairs area looked to be very busy and food smelled great!

Such a good bar, been coming here for years. Always have amazing artists on, a great platform for smaller-med performers. Sound system is one of the better ones in Leeds. North Bar is a cozy and unassuming gem nestled in the heart of Leeds, offering a wide array of libations to satisfy even the most discerning tastes. With over 20 years in business, it has become one of the city's go-to spots for craft beers, whiskeys, and cocktails. The bar boasts an impressive selection of over 50 whiskies, 10 gins, and 30 rums alongside hard-to-find beers.
I visited North Bar in New Briggate on Saturday (a lovely sunny day). The outside seating area was really busy with folks enjoying the summer. I sat inside and the bar and was impressed with the selection of beers they have on tap - 20 available on keg and 2 cask when I visited. I was warmly greeted by Beth, who was very knowledgeable about the beer on offer, and enjoyed chatting to her during my visit. Don’t miss their beer fridge, tucked away in the corner, for a takeaway treat.
Russell L — Google review
Good selection of ales available though some seem quite pricey compared to comparable bars in Newcastle and the North East. Atmosphere was ok, but as it was a Friday night it was busy and difficult to judge. I'm told it would be much more to my taste at quieter times so will be happy to go again to assess this.

This was a fantastic bar for drinking, with bright colours across the interior! Balloons and stylish frames add to the environment, counter is stylish. I enjoyed one of their ciders at comfortable seating, sat by a clean table!

This is the BEST place ever for cocktails! The guys in here can make anything and they are brilliant! No premixed rubbish here!!! Lovely hidden gem in Leeds. Very intimate and great place to relax with friends. Late opening. My favourite cocktail bar!

This is a little known venue above the amusement shop and opposite the Donna kebab shop, at the start of Call Lane (Leeds Market end). The entrance is via a door front and immediate stairs. There are different featured rooms and capacities. We were in the Highland room which holds around 50 - 100 people depending on sitting or standing. There's a PA system with a tablet you can sign into (Spotify or bring your own iPad or DJ). There's no disco light but a £30 disco light works well to create a small dance floor area. Table tops were available for food (we purchased or own from Costco). There's security on the door but did find a couple of strangers walking in, but they were were lost! (bring a bigger sign with you?) or they were trying for a free sandwich - either way, once challenged, they left without any issues or fuss!!! Staff were plenty-full and we (80 at its peak time) seldom queued for more than 5 mins. All staff and security were friendly and helpful both on the lead up to the day and on the night. There is no lift, but there is a great loading area or drop-off point outside. Taxis frequently pass. Our group easily exceeded the minimum spend. The drinks were average city centre prices, beers were available in bottles only (No draft - in the Highland room. Not sure about the others?) Give them a call to find out more, very accommodating :) give me a thumbs up if this info is useful or you like my pics and videos!

Shocking for such an expensive city centre bar, don't believe the hype, dirty place, if they can't clean the room and the toilet, what are the kitchens like? Hairs and stains all over walls, obviously the fan has never been cleaned... Minging. We won't be back

Cracking micro-bar between the railway station and the town centre. Three cask ales on - I plumped for Moorhouses Moonbeam - a classic IPA - went down far too quickly. Great service from the bar staff - I was given a chilled pint of water having walked 10 miles to get here. Much obliged 👍🏻

We were on a coach trip to Appleby. Then a train ride to Settle over the Ribblehead Viaduct which was lovely. Got to Settle with an hour to pass and found this wonderful pub. The owner was so friendly and the cask beers which I am particularly fond of were sourced locally and were in perfect condition. Wish we could have stayed longer but if we make it back this place will be where we go. If you are in Settle and like good cask beer at its best in a friendly atmosphere this place is a must. We visited the Village pub several times during our week long stay in Redmire. Both us and our dogs were always warmly greeted by the staff and made to feel welcome for the duration of our stay. I witnessed them go above and beyond to help a couple who accidentally got their booking wrong and turned up a week early. There was a large selection of cask ales, all of which has been excellently kept, at great prices, especially at happy hour on Friday night. The food was honest pub grub, although a little on the expensive side, but portions were generous. We found the full English breakfast served on Saturday and Sunday mornings to be excellent. Just be sure to get there before 10am, as this seems to be the cut of point despite the board outside advertising 11am and the website letting you book breakfast reservations for past 10am.
