Nestled along the scenic banks of the River Ribble, The Continental is a charming pub and restaurant that perfectly captures the essence of British cuisine. Located near Preston's Avenham and Miller Parks, it boasts a spacious beer garden ideal for summer gatherings. With its inviting atmosphere, this venue not only serves delicious dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients but also hosts an array of cultural events, including films and live music performances at The Boatyard.
The New Continental in Preston, England, is a delightful pub conveniently located near the park. Parking was quite manageable, which made our visit stress-free. The food options were extensive and impressive. My steak was perfectly cooked and beautifully plated, making me feel like I was dining above my pay grade. My companions also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The option to eat outside was a wonderful addition, allowing us to enjoy the pleasant weather. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that I highly recommend.

Called in Saturday for drinks and food with friends. Nice outside area next to river. And plenty of room. Band area with live music. In side is nice although a little dark in entrance area. And never seen it before we queued at bar for drinks , which I think the staff found it hard to serve. Constantly asking who is next! Food was ok, staff were great 👍
Andrew W — Google review
Almost perfect. Beer great, staff great, bar area great, beer garden amazing, food excellent. Gents toilets 🤮 the smell of urine was overpowering. I'm not sure if they had a plumbing problem, it was the warm weather or what, but they were pretty rank. Absolutely lovely pub though. One of the very best in the Preston area.
Damian S — Google review
Fish bites and chips were absolutely delicious. The outdoor seating area is perfect for a hot day. The staff are very friendly. Nice live music in here too. Highly recommend a visit.
Koustuv S — Google review
A great pub, large with lots of space inside and a superb outside area ( the attached photo only shows one small part of it). Extensive range of real ales, craft beers and more, at decent prices. Didn't try the food but the menu looked good and there are vegan options. There is also an auditorium with regular live music, tribute bands etc. It's just as well I don't live close to this place or I'd never be away!
Phil C — Google review
What a brilliant pub for great food in my opinion the best in Preston ! They always have specials on and change their menu regularly top notch place for a great meal and a chill enjoy!

Lovely place for drink and dinner. Also very nice outdoor area

A great beer garden to sit out in when the ☀️ is shining - choose from a top selection of cask ales all reasonably priced. About a 20 minute pleasant stroll through Avenham Park to the centre of Preston.

Chew's Yard is a new and popular spot in Preston, offering a vibrant atmosphere and a variety of food and drink options. Housed in a converted workshop, it features five different food and drink stalls, including cocktails, ciders, and fresh charcuterie boards. The venue also boasts a beautiful garden where patrons can relax and enjoy the sun with a selection of beers. Visitors can expect an array of street food options served hot and fresh from various vendors.
Visited with friends on a whim and it was great! Fab atmosphere with a great selection of different food choices. I had a pie from Trough, friends had the cheeseboard and we had the desert board sharer for afterwards! We loved everything, the boards are amazing and would highly recommend! Pie and gravy was also 10/10! Great vibe🤩
Charlotte W — Google review
What a little gem of a place, located just a stone’s throw away from town centre. Very rustic inside but very well done. Outside is a fairly large courtyard garden with lots of tables (not enough on a sunny day). Bar has a good choice of drinks but not a great range of beers. Three different food outlets with a great selection for all. Staff were great on the food side they never stopped, plenty of staff to clean up. And bar staff had a good knowledge. Well worth a visit, have a look at their website as they have live music on also.
Andrew W — Google review
Food is really good BUT being disabled, I'm not a fan of counter service, hence 4 stars, which is a bit harsh perhaps. The food was very good. The chicken and ham pie was very good. Short crust crumble topped with a pulled ham and pulled chicken filling.
Ian L — Google review
Wow what a place! It's located just stone throw from Preston ring way or Friargate. We have been in many places like that either in Manchester or London but yeah.. it's in Preston!!! Honestly atmosphere is unbeatable... good selection of beers, cocktails 🍸 etc when it comes to the food we tried Seitanic which I wasn't fan of and Where is Wala which was great and tasty. Live music was awesome 👌 and just a wibe of the place... wow.. impressive
Paul B — Google review
Fab venue, these guys couldn’t be trying any harder to bring Preston the type of offering you’d only find in Manchester or London. Brilliant event programming, great beers and cocktails, decor and vibe is on point and the three Indy kitchens are fantastic. Very family and occasion friendly. Will be back
Steven N — Google review
Visited for a Friday night catch up and it was such a good choice. This shabby-chic food hall has that industrial, rustic charm I love, with loads of food traders to choose from and a great atmosphere to match. We started with the masala fish with rice and Aloo Fry from Where’s Wala– the fish was golden and crisp with a bold masala rub, melting in the mouth with every bite. The Aloo Fry were fiery, crunchy and addictive – the perfect combo. Then from Chamo, we had the lemon and herb chicken loaded tater tots – topped with garlic & thyme aioli, parmesan, herbs, iceberg and that dreamy lemon and herb butter… so fresh and so full of flavour. Such a great spot for a relaxed evening with good food and drinks – I’ll definitely be heading back to try more!
Nicole S — Google review
Fab place! Had delicious cornflake chicken mix combo with Korean sticky sauce from Chamo.. THE best!! Whenever I go to Chews Yard Chamo is defo top of the list!

It offers a family-friendly atmosphere with a beer garden, TV sports, and delicious pub food including burgers and steak. The venue provides affordable prices for an excellent range of beers and alcohol, creating a typical British vibe with board games and books available for patrons to enjoy.
Great dog friendly traditional pub. Fun quiz night on Monday from 8pm. Good beer garden. On the edge of town so less trouble,

Very nice place to stay for having a nice moment to relax in nice ambience. The building is surrounded by a garden with quite a lot tables a seats, and also has a parking for several cars. The people inside was too kind, specially the staff and the meal was quite nice with a good price, also the drinks with a big variety of beers. The house inside it's very confortable, and has many ambiences to be in calm within being mixed the conversations between tables. Also you can play darts, billard and watch some sport in the TVs they have.
Benito R — Google review
The food at the guild is exceptional!! Nic and Dan produce some of the best local food from a. Pub that I've ever tasted!! Rusty was the kindest and most hopeful staff member and the decor and new improvements to the pub have made it an amazing place to relax with family or friends!!
Brian R — Google review
Nice local pub with a good choice of drinks and food at reasonable prices. Nice interior with dart boards and a pool table. A really nice large seating area at the rear. Friendly staff and good service. Parking area at front of the pub. WC facilities clean and tidy. Would recommend a visit.
Dave D — Google review
Went for some lunch today at The Guild with my partner, unreal food!! Very handsome portion for a very reasonable price. Good veggie options (rare for me), decently priced pints and very comfortable atmosphere. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, staff were super friendly and the decor inside has improved since our last visit due to refurbishments! Keep up the good work guys, will be coming back on Wednesday for the burger deal!
Lauren D — Google review
Our first visit to The Guild in a long while. We went to have an evening meal. The food was really good, well cooked, and a nice size portion. The service was excellent and they checked everything was ok for us. I would really recommend a visit.

I had an amazing brunch experience at The Guild Pub on our first day of class. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The pub's location was convenient, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was the perfect way to start our class journey, and I would highly recommend The Guild Pub for a great brunch!

Lost Bar & Pizzeria is a charming spot located on Market Street West, offering a delightful cobbled courtyard and an artsy cultural calendar. This makes it an ideal outdoor venue for summer events and casual dining. The establishment boasts a well-stocked bar featuring craft beers, wines, spirits, and signature cocktails. Additionally, they serve delectable Neapolitan-style pizzas that are complemented by handcrafted cocktails and natural wines. The cozy ambiance of the Dickens Room adds to the overall experience.
An excellent cosy bar on Market Street West offering a well stocked bar area with craft beers, wines, spirits including signature cocktails, and hot drinks. There's an intimate function room/pizzeria to the left of the bar for those get togethers and celebrations. Through the bar is the solarium, a windowed seating area with ambient lighting looking out to the seated courtyard, great in Summer but equally as good in all weathers as it's partially covered. The pizzeria serves delicious hand crafted pizzas with various and unusual toppings. So if you just fancy a drink after work, a night out and/or a meal this is the place to go... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Phil N — Google review
Service was appalling, we had 6 dishes; 2 Garlic bread and 4 Pizzas. 4 of the 6 were burnt to a cinder. The server was only available when running other tables drinks/food, no check backs at any point. Took 20mins to get our drinks and 90 minutes to get pizzas, 2 of which arrived 5 minutes before the final 2. The only positive was the way they resolved the bill. Had high hopes for a new independent business, evening was thoroughly ruined.
Henry C — Google review
Absolute gem of a place. Small and unassuming doorway leads to classy stone floored cafe with a homely feel. Carry on through and it opens out into a stunning courtyard which I imagine is great when it’s sunny. We ate brunch and It was delicious. Staff were very friendly and professional. They had a good selection of beers wine and spirits. We will be coming back here many more times as the lunch and dinner menu looked very well thought out. I highly recommend this place.
Go T — Google review
Excellent quiet independent cafe/bar and shop. The quality of the coffee and food is very good. Coffee properly ground fresh with a barista that knows what they're doing The decor is really good with really good outdoor seating, very contemporary and quietly hidden away off Friargate The boutique shop is very interesting selling boutique crafts and goods Update: As of December 2022 "Once Was Lost" no longer exists replaced by a pizzeria. Shop seems to have gone too. Popped in today (17th) place was dead. I was looking forward to a Mexican wrap too and coffee and cake. But nothing. Sadly won't be going here again
Baz Z — Google review
Nice place but absolutely woeful pizza. When we asked why ours had absolutely no tomato sauce, the waitress pointed out the four half sliced plum tomatoes in each corner of the pizza. It wasn’t even a good garlic bread. If you made this pizza in Naples you’d be deported. As for the size of it, £11 for a 9” pizza? Does not compare well to Rudy’s or Franco Manca.
Warren C — Google review
Had a really enjoyable evening here. Went for food before an Americana band was on for the evening. Food and music were really good and some decent Lowenbrau on tap. Outdoor booths have heaters if it's a little chilly in the evening. Would highly recommend and will be heading back soon :)

Beautiful spot hidden right in the heart of Preston. Lovely place for lunch on a sunny afternoon. Food was delicious too, although a little pricey.

Today was the first time I visited this place. The coffee was good and doughnut was amazing. The background music was brilliant to be honest and the staff were friendly🙂 The prices are also reasonable and one good thing about this place is that you can enjoy shopping when waiting for your order. Turtle Bay Preston is a popular Caribbean-style restaurant located in the city center, offering a vibrant atmosphere with modern decor and floor-to-ceiling windows. In addition to its delicious cuisine and cocktails, the area also features other dining options such as Mystery Tea House, known for its wide variety of teas and home-cooked delicacies, as well as Continental pub which offers quality food and live entertainment.
My daughter and I stopped here for lunch today. Our waitress Lottie was lovely and very attentive. She took our drinks order straight away and we didn't have to wait long for our food either. The food was delicious, especially the prawns. They had a little kick but not too spicy. The cocktails were nice as well and it was good to see some new ones on the menu. Overall a pleasant experience. Recently been again. Funnily enough we ordered the same food. Everything was even better than last time, apart from the curry chickpeas on the sharing platter. The previous dish was better, in my opinion. Very hard to eat because it's so sloppy, the bread gets too wet. The staff were fantastic and we did notice new things on the menu, so will definitely be back again to try the prawn curry.
Angela D — Google review
We had an absolutely fantastic experience! Amazing service from Molly and the rest of the team. Delicious food, superb drinks, and top-notch customer service. We truly felt taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommended!

5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented every dish tastes authentic and full of love. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, perfect for a casual meal or a special night out. Definitely one of the best place 🙂highly recommend!
Fab T — Google review
Tried jerk chicken here for the first time and unfortunately had the worst experience — the taste was extremely unpleasant, and the chicken was not properly cooked. On the positive side, the cocktails were really good, the French fries were perfectly crispy, and the service was amazing.
Fawaz — Google review
The ambience was nice. Music was a vibe. The staff were attentive and kept our table clear of empty dishes, ensuring we always had drinks and water. The food was okay. The 'trini doubles' was edible. But not authentic. The chickpeas needed to be cooked more. It was too al dente. Never ever have I had fresh coconut as a garnish on a doubles. The size, well, for £6.40 was more of an hors d'oeuvres size than a starter. The jerk chicken, the flavours didn't go through the chicken half. So, I was disappointed. The coconut rice and peas were okay. The coleslaw got lost on my plate, though. My opinions are based on authentic Caribbean food experiences and as an island child. The portion size was generous. 2-4-1 cocktails were nice. Just Eat Order Review (UPDATE 18.08.25) Extremely disappointing! We ordered mac and cheese with jerk chicken, and the flavours were completely lacking. We could NOT taste any cheese. How does mac AND cheese come without cheese?! The jerk chicken was not seasoned properly and did not taste authentic at all. At £14.79, the price does not reflect the meal received. As someone familiar with Caribbean cuisine, it’s really frustrating to see places claiming to serve “Trini” or “jerk” dishes when the food is so far from it. People unfamiliar with these dishes may order and form a negative or completely false impression, that’s unacceptable and disappointing. To improve, the restaurant could focus on using authentic Caribbean seasonings and proper preparation techniques so the dishes actually reflect the flavours they promise. That way, both Caribbean customers and newcomers can enjoy a true taste of the cuisine.

The Cafe Bar is a modern restaurant featuring exposed brick walls and vibrant furniture, offering a menu that includes tapas, pasta, and pizza. Nestled in a charming Latin European-style courtyard with colorful furniture and mosaic flooring, the ambiance transports diners to the Mediterranean. The restaurant serves authentic tapas dishes alongside Italian and Greek mains.
What a lovely little place. Tucked away of a small cobbled st. You enter a sun trapped courtyard. We only had drinks, but next time food will be had as it looked wonderful. Staff were friendly and quick to clean up tables. Draft larger, but not a great range and a little pricey my only criticism.

Really lovely place !! Staff are very helpful and friendly. The portions are a good size and tasty. Highly recommended the tapas dishes - the mains however were average. The atmosphere was lively when we went and it can be loud. I will say it’s not a cheap evening but it is a good treat

The aesthetic ambiance of the whole place was lovely. Went there at a quiet time in the evening. Time showed to be closing at 10pm but we were told they were closing at 9 which was 30 minutes after the time we came. Got the Cafe Bar Mushroom and Chicken Pasta and the Tomato and Garlic Potato Wedges Side with Pineapple Juice and Fruit Cider. All very well done, quick delivery and tasty. Would visit again to try other menu items. You can also ask to add cheese on top of your food and pepper also which came in a comically large pepper grinder that the server used.

Server got our order wrong costing us an extra £5 on the bill, (we ordered a starter and was charged for a main portion) no changes offered . Starter and main served together which wasn't great but maybe we should have mentioned we didn't want everything at the same time. Other than that, great ambience, clean, food beautiful tasting and well presented.

Located in Lancashire, The Twelve Tellers is a restaurant and lounge bar adjacent to one of Europe's tallest windmills. Celebrating 21 years of business, it is owned by a husband and wife team who are hands-on with their friendly staff. Housed in a Grade II listed building that was formerly a bank, the stylish interior offers both intimate spaces and areas for large groups.
Nip into here for lunch, after i went to visit harrie museum. I used my app to order my food and drink, just have the beef burger with salad, burger was nice and tasty and hot just right amount of salad. None alcohol Guinness was nice and cold. The staff was very nice and helpful

An enormo Spoons where getting served can be tedious unless you use the App. Cask ale is always solid although the pub has lost its entry in the 2025 Good Beer Guide. Try and plan a trip to the loo in a pub before or after you visit here.
Mark N — Google review
I made an order and made it pacifically clear that I wanted grilled chicken. I was told that this came with the meal as a standard. When I spoke to a member of staff I was told that it was a misunderstanding and it’s been made therefore I’ll need to pay for it. I’m pretty sure this is false advertisement and against trade-in standards and I will be reporting this and the member of staff. She was also extremely rude and walked off while I was talking. I’ll be recommending not to come back and I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from now on and I don’t expect anything to be done about this as normal.
Arrogant L — Google review
Service was poor. No wait at table but repeat long wait at bar. Repeatedly overlooked by whoever shouted "I'm first" fastest (they clearly knew!). Staff generally loitering somewhere at the end of the bar avoiding customers until someone with some nouce suggested they serve. Food and beer cheap and afaik can't be beat in Preston. But be aware app charges extra! Atmosphere was dead but ok as drinks and food for late session, but then they added dance tunes and disco lights, at which point we left.
Ben D — Google review
I had the steak pudding here today , the pastry was hard like it had been under the warmer too long. The filling barely reached a quarter full. The tables were not cleaned very well. We are big spoons supporters but this was poor.
Terry D — Google review
Food was absolutely awful, I had an 11 inch Margherita Pizza, and it was the worst I have ever had, no flavour. The food took long to arrive and it was cold when it did. The atmosphere is fine. Overall, would not come again
Marcus S — Google review
As you'd expect from a spoons. Interior is nice, few ripped seats on the booths but just don't sit there if it bothers you. But it's a very large space overall and lots of tables. Food was as you expect, good quick service.

Stunning building and such a nice place to relax and eat in. I'm glad they've retained a lot of the original features and historical aspects of the former Bank. It's an interesting and quirky place to say the least. No problems at all with the food or drinks. Service was great as well and toilets were spotless.

Black Horse Old world charm. Ornate. Grade 2 listed classic heritage pub. Beer & banter. Detailed review: Situated at a stone throw distance from Harris museum and bang opposite the back entrance of St. George's shopping centre, Black horse is a vintage gem among the pubs in Preston. What greets one are the fascinating interiors of mosaic floor, tiled bar with a plethora of options and the walls which are adorned with pictures of old Preston. The front two rooms have basic but comfortable seating setup in an early nineteenth century world feel with the decor, lead bordered thick glass windows and added charm thanks to the real log fires. The music is played via a jukebox and there is no specific genre which adds a good surprise element. The hospitality is courteous and there are always some regulars at any point of time. Limited/no food options but it is surrounded by plenty of fast food joints. This place is ideal for beer and banter as life goes by. Worth a visit.

A fantastic old style traditional pub - highly recommended

Probably the last proper pub in Preston. Great selection of ale, great atmosphere and a good juke box to add to it. Harry and Dani have alwaysade me feel part of the family ever since I first stumbled through the entrance. Safe to say no pub crawl is complete until you have had a drink in the horse shoe (the seating at the back of the pub)

Plau Gin & Beer House is a stylish and unique venue housed in a historic building on Friargate. It offers an extensive selection of artisan gins, craft beers, cocktails, wines, and spirits. The interior exudes vintage charm with a snug underground bar adding to the allure. What sets Plau apart is its focus on inventive vegan cuisine with bold flavors rather than replicating meat dishes. This makes it stand out as one of the most honest vegan menus in PR1.
Great place eaten in both sides of the bar and can’t fault it. Lovely atmosphere, especially down in the vaults. Food is amazing. Staff are very friendly and attentive. My partner is celiac (gluten free) and has never had any issues and always loves to eat here. Definitely one of our favourite places in Preston.

The Plau has become one of our favourite places to come for drinks, the staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's an unusual building with some history behind it. There are 3 bars on different levels our favourite is the cellar where they always have a good selection of Rivington ales. I particularly like the subdued lighting, it is easy on the eyes. Also sometimes they light aroma candles and scented sticks which adds to the chilled mood of the place. Highly recommend venue !
MadderMax — Google review
Lovely building on every single floor and room, the decor is honestly something to admire just like the staff and food. Although it can be quite busy and sometimes booked out the staff do their best to keep ontop of everything, any mistakes are rectified as soon as possible and if you order a lot of dishes it's a constant flux of food being brought to your table, each dish is well made and full of varied flavours. Honestly it's a great spot to dine and enjoy company with a partner or friends, good drinks are also available with quite a nice variety, though not many ciders there is a lot of cocktails and other drinks to enjoy. I'd definitely return.
Dahlia R — Google review
Good place for a beer and bar lunch. 9 beers available when we were in. Good food to be had at a reasonable price. There is also a fantastic cellar pop up bar from Rivington Brewing. The wow venue matches the wow beers.

Downstairs speakeasy delivered! Cavernous setting and good audio too.
Will R — Google review
A sign of a good bar is when something goes wrong and then rectified with grace and aplomb. The first ale ( Beak brewery, Sussex) was wrong so had a Lancaster brewery Blonde. Three real ales plus a real cider. Jorvic and Madge shared a Sorbetto cocktail. Decided to have a snack, a cassoulet plus gujarati spiced chips. Very good, generous portions. Lovely decor. Very cosy. Bar food downstairs. There is an upstairs dining room...Fino. Downstairs to the rear is Rivington Vaults, which seems to open late afternoon. Check interweb for opening.

Absolutely stunning! My partner lives in Preston and this is my favourite date place. The decor, drinks, service are all phenomenal! The vibe is just something else…I love the feeling this place gives me. It’s an escape, a comfort spot with a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s completely unique which is increasingly hard to find! The GM is welcoming, friendly and very knowledgable. I’ve never been a Colada kinda guy but for some reason I was tempted to give the banana & pistachio colada a go as it was sold to me as an alcoholic McDonald’s milkshake 😆 it was incredible. 100% returning regularly

Plau is a lovely brunch place to go to. It has a nice rustic but cosy atmosphere and the staff are lovely. The food is delicious and the setting and presentation is very well done and do a high standard. The price reflects the service and experience so I would say the price is about right for the food. I recommend this place for a nice brunch with friends.

Bottomless brunch was amazing. The cocktails were gorgeous and our wonderful waitress Naomi served us the second we finished our last drinks. I accidentally booked the wrong date but they still managed to fit us in. The staff were amazing - male manager Lee was great. The only let down was the toilets - not the bar staffs fault at all but the toilets were gross.

Went to the Magic Mike themed Bottomless Brunch with my mum on 31/05/2025. 5/5 would recommend. Initially we were given a table with high chairs but as soon as I mentioned my mum was disabled and would struggle due to her mobility, they gave us a full booth to ourselves with no additional charges or fuss, which was lovely. The food was gorgeous, drinks were strong and plentiful, the servers were really attentive and checked on us frequently (particularly Becca, who was fab), and it was such an amazing day; we will definitely be coming back for another themed brunch soon.

I came to Review as part of a group for a friends birthday. The bottomless brunch was the best I've ever had! So well organised, very quick to serve with drinks, food really nice and staff super helpful! The singer (a Whitney Houston tribute - I'm sorry I don't know her name!) was BRILLIANT! We all had a great time and will be recommending Review! Thanks guys!

The Whitney Houston themed bottomless brunch was amazing! Been to a lot of bottomless brunches around Preston and Manchester and this was the most efficient in terms of service and food. As soon as your drink is finished a server is there taking your order. The singer was phenomenal and everyone was up dancing and having a great time. Definitely recommend.

A CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub. Popped in on a cold November evening with Madge and Jorvic. Good selection of four real ales. Decided on trying two half pints. One was a Glasshouse brewery 4.6% Pale Ale..a bit too floral for me. Also a 5% cinder toffee Porter from Docks brewery, very good. Good atmosphere on a busy evening.

Madge and Jorvic totally agree that this bar deserves to be a CAMRA Good Beer Guide entry. They even have every Guide from 1987 to 2024 for you to skim through. Great for my nostalgia. Especially the many lost breweries as well as pubs. (Real ale scene in 2020's has never been better despite those who passed.) A TV displays the choice. Seven handpumps. I had a Lune Valley Pale.Very good. Lovely interior. Two rooms on ground floor plus lovely upstair lounge opposite the toilets. Great bar.

Great micropub fairly close to Preston bus station and the guild hall. Lots of real ales and craft beers on draught plus bottled beers and wine, spirits etc. Usually fairly easy to get a seat but gets very busy at peak times. If you're in Preston centre, don't miss it.

Argyle on tour!! Searching for real ale pubs....and this was top of the list. And so it turned out to be. So many ales in a male dominated environment. I had an Obsidian ( brewed in Bingley )....ps don't tell anyone its a Yorkshire beer poured in Lancashire! Friendly northern banter with the locals and varieties of crisps I have never even heard of....a good experience

I used to love this place, however one day suddenly I found out from the bouncers that I am barred? I asked them why and they told me that they don't know and to contact the manager on Facebook through messenger. I put the most polite message there and guess what. I got completely ignored and left on since. After that I waited patiently for them to respond even though I knew there wouldn't be any response. It's a shame because it used to be my favourite place even though the entry fee is about £10 or sometimes even higher, unless you get lucky and fall in the group of people that come there way early. I always was nice to them, made friends, didn't even drink much maybe 3-4 drinks (vodka lemonade) throughout the ENTIRE visit. I never caused a fight there as far as I am aware, yet saw people who would get to come back after causing quite a fight/trouble there. PLEASE at least make the customers know why they are barred unless it's an obvious AND proven reason to them. It feels unfair that I have to be left out of the group because the bouncers won't let me in even with my friends. I think they denied me the access last time when I tried when I was in my late 19s or 20s. I just wish there would be more justice in this place. There is a proof of them ignoring me when I asked. I don't think I could have asked them about it in any more polite way. I was hoping that this place would at least be understanding, safe and well. Wouldn't be full of people who ban for no reason AND then ignore you. there are way better places to visit and to be fair places that would respect you more.
Ingrid S — Google review
Place was amazing, brilliant music, however girl on top floor refused me service cause I was "undecided" despite me constantly telling her i just wanted some orange and vodka, pretty much ruined my evening due to this girl saying I "had too much" even though I just started my night, not my fault she's new and decides when someone "has enough" went downstairs and they served me just fine. pretty much avoided top floor due to this new brunette girl almost essentially bullying me.
Koplopbop C — Google review
The bouncers are quite frankly the rudest set of people I have met. Making up reasons as to why people aren't allowed in, and eventually just saying that they thought we were too old. Yes we might not be in our 20s but seriously, after going to Warehouse for years, I can safely say we won't ever be going again....even to the over 30s night.
Charlotte W — Google review
In preston on some business and thought we would relive a bit of our University days and pay a visit. Eight of us attended and after a quick search of our bags we went inside however because it was after midnight (00:30) we were told it was £10 entry fee. I am sorry but in 2024 in a city like preston who on earth is paying a £10 entry fee?!?!?. Iv been to some high end clubs that don't even charge that. I think it's a gross reflection of the current state things are in and we turned away and walked right out. I guess that some things really are better left in the past and i feel incredibly sorry for students having to pay that much to attend a venue. Please rethink the amount you are charging for entry!
Ryan — Google review
This was a fantastic venue for clubbing, with an upstairs completely packed full of excitement! Lighting brings this out as does the dance and pop music, enjoyed a Gin and Coke then a shot to boost the experience.
K. P — Google review
Mate got spiked was unresponsive had to call ambulance and end up in hospital, ran to bouncers to help they only gave a bottle of water and did not provide assistance. Only once the ambulance came did one of them walk over and asked what happened after being informed and asked to help don’t go you’ll get spiked and no assistance from the bouncers.
Connor C — Google review
Drinks are mega expensive and people often get spiked. Bouncers are mostly egoistic and aren't helpful. Wouldn't recommend it to students as I find it an unsafe environment for young people. The environment is also outdated and small.

Wings & Beer Co. is a contemporary sports bar that perfectly blends a cozy wooden interior with an energetic atmosphere, making it the ultimate destination for sports lovers. Nestled down Cannon Street off Fishergate, this spot offers a delightful array of American-style dishes while you catch your favorite games on screen. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or planning to indulge in a feast with friends and family, Wings & Beer Co. caters to all occasions.
I recently had a meal here, and for the most part, it was a great experience, though one element could have been handled better. The food was fantastic – each dish was well-prepared, with fresh ingredients and a lot of care in the flavors. It’s clear that the kitchen takes pride in their work, and it made the meal truly enjoyable. The atmosphere was also just right, with a nice view of the TV where I could watch the football match, adding to the relaxed, welcoming vibe. It was easy to settle in and enjoy the evening, with the ambiance feeling lively but not overwhelming. The drinks were decent as well. While the selection wasn’t huge, there was enough variety to find something that suited, and each drink was well-made and went nicely with the food. However, there was one unexpected issue that took away from the evening’s flow. We were advised that if a table didn’t have a “Reserved” sign, we could sit there, so we found a free table and settled in. Overall, this place has a lot going for it: great food, a comfortable setting, and good drinks. The only thing I’d suggest is for the staff to take a more proactive approach to managing table reservations. A simple heads-up on any time restrictions would have made the experience smoother and kept the relaxed atmosphere going. ##EDIT## I have been truly impressed with the manager’s response to my review. They apologized for the experience and went above and beyond to make things right, This level of care shows how committed they are to their customers’ satisfaction, which goes a long way in my book. Overall, I’ll definitely be back, and I appreciate how seriously they take feedback. I’m looking forward to my next visit and to enjoying everything they have to offer!

We wanted to book Forum Bar & Kitchen for a special celebration with family and friends on a Sunday afternoon in Preston, and were delighted to be offered exclusive use of both floors for the party. Ryan and all the team worked really positively with us for weeks in advance to help plan our event and made all the preparations run as smoothly as possible, including for catering, AV equipment, decorations, music, and other entertainment and magic moments on the day. Their support and encouragement was invaluable and meant that we could really enjoy the occasion without any worries. Of course the buffet was delicious, the bar service was excellent, and the venue itself felt like a home from home, but it was the extra touches that made Forum such a top choice for this type of event. I felt really proud having the guys welcome all our guests with a friendly smile as soon as they arrived for the drinks reception or with party bags for the younger family members, and then helping to capture photos to add to our precious memories and generally just blending in with the whole family. Nothing was too much trouble and we were even helped with overnight storage before and after the event. We cherish our time with Ryan and the team and can’t wait to be back in Preston for more happy times with our new friends at Forum Bar & Kitchen!

Two old friends met to enjoy a lovely lunch with attentive but not overbearing service. The restaurant was quiet with only a handful of the tables occupied, but the terrace outside was busy with people enjoying a drink in the sunshine. Our meals were delicious, and the wine was pretty good too! Our waiter, whose name I sadly didn’t take, was friendly and very professional. We’ll definitely come to the Forum again.

Me and two friends went for the £39 bottomless brunch! We were sat down and the waiter said your time starts now and then walked away without asking us what we wanted to drink! We found 1842 a month ago and were so impressed we booked for a special celebration yesterday. A big shout out to Jo, who remembered us when we walked in, greeted us warmly, and chatted as she walked us to our table. The food and drinks were delicious and although busy there was no great wait. Jo was part of our evening, joining in and being part of the celebration. At the end of the evening, my son was presented with a shot attached to an indoor firework to round off the meal. A lovely surprise and a great touch. As we left, we met Mike, the owner, who was friendly and obviously very proud of his staff and the restaurant. A fantastic place for a quiet meal or a major celebration 1842 can accommodate, and you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Jo, for a great evening.

8 of us had a lovely afternoon doing the bottomless brunch. Our server Shona was fantastic. She was really friendly, made sure we had everything we needed and that our drinks stayed full. She clearly loves her job as she was always smiling. The food was lovely, and our party was very happy with the selection of drinks in the bottomless package. The atmosphere in the pub was good and the time allowed for the bottomless drinks was just right and we did not feel rushed at all. We have all been recommending the Adelphi Bottomless brunch to our friends.

3 of us went for bottomless brunch. 100% will be returning. Jessica was our waitress for the evening. Such a lovely person she explained how it all worked. Food was lovely. Pizza's and a chicken burger was ordered. No complaints. Great choice of cocktails. Our glasses were never empty. Really enjoyable evening had by us all. Great value for money. We think Jessica deserves a pay rise for how hard she works.

Service was brilliant and food was mind blowing. For me personally the music was way too loud and we booked on a match day 😖 I'm deaf in one ear so it was a little too much for me. My wife came a few weeks ago and it was all 5+. Great value for money and will definitely come again on a non match day. Also the raspberry lynchburg is freaking amazing.

The best bottomless brunch we have had. Drinks were flowing. Food was amazing and our server Beth was so friendly and made our visit really special. We have booked again for our Christmas night out.

Bottomless Brunch was a really good experience. The food was lovely, the drinks were great. There was a big rowdy group of us but Shona took care of us in a friendly and efficient way. Shona and her team were so attentive and it genuinely felt like we were the only table in Adelphi with the amount of attention we were paid. Definitely worth the money.

our waitress called Jess was absolutely amazing, she is lovely and so friendly, will definitely come again just for her. 11/10 service and can’t complain in the slightest. She was the absolute sweetest. Made our bottomless brunch better which was difficult as our drinks and food was good anyways. I can’t recommend this place enough.

A great few hours of a Sunday afternoon. Jessica and Adam were great, gave prompt and good service and Jessica was very friendly and chatty. Would definitely come again and fully recommend the afternoon tea!

Kirk was our server today and was really warm and welcoming. We moved tables and he did not make it an issue for my friends and I. He was lovely and served with a smile and a laugh. Thank for making our experience great. 💯😊
Phlavia D — Google review
I recently visited Slug & Lettuce with my wife and a group of friends, and we had a fantastic evening overall. The place has a vibrant and welcoming ambience that immediately sets the mood for a fun night out. The décor is modern and stylish, and the lively atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to enjoy with friends or loved ones. Even though the restaurant was quite crowded during our visit, the energy of the place added to the overall charm. The food was good, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and flavorful, making it a satisfying dining experience. However, the food service was slightly delayed, likely due to the number of guests that evening. While it didn’t overshadow our experience, quicker service would have made it even better. One thing I particularly enjoyed was the open space, which, although not a designated dance floor, gave plenty of room for people to dance and have a good time. The music selection was decent, though I felt it could have been a little more engaging.

Amazing visit today, Kirk was very attentive and the drinks made by Abby were delicious. We ordered the s&L sharer and it was all delicious worth the money. Definitely will be back Preston S&L is amazing.

This was a fantastic bar for drinking, with a fancy and flashy interior! This is contributed to by the lights, modern style and luxury seating. Cocktails were really nice and cleanliness was maintained, counter is smartly presented too!

Came here for bottomless brunch as a group of 6. They brought over a few bottles of prosecco and then came back to ask us which cocktails we’d liked. They were very generous with the drinks and made sure no one had an empty glass. The food choices are actually a lot better than other brunches I’ve been to and there was more options. We were all really happy with the service and all of our food looked and tasted great. We will be back. For £33 we really had our moneys worth.

I came in for a bottomless brunch for my birthday and it was incredible!!! And of course what made it an amazing time was JACK’s service. I was a bit sassy but he knew how to make me happy. The drinks made by Sara were tasty and refreshing as well. 10/10 experience.
Eliana V — Google review
They advertise the sport here. Don't get too excited though, the manager refuses to put the sound on. If you're showing the live football, then at least put the sound on, if only in the back area, you can still play the music in the front lounge. Pointless watching football on mute. No atmosphere. Won't be going there again for the footy.

I had a lovely evening in Stratos on Saturday, I asked the bartender if he could make a corpse reviver 2, he did and it was amazing, he has read the Savoy cocktail book! He also gave me lots of tips to improve my homemade cocktails, the bar has a welcoming atmosphere and the interior inside is elegant. Thanks to all the staff for a fab experience including the door staff. It’s been 15 years since I’ve been out in the centre of Preston as I moved to Manchester, I will absolutely return again, thanks so much x

So glad to see Stratos back open! This is my favourite bar in Preston. Generally tend to get a more mature crowd in here, so the vibe is always nice and chilled. Always enjoyed the drink and food in here but the new menu is unreal! The calamari and chicken wings in particular were absolutely delicious! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Bar is beautifully decorated and was busy at first but seemed to empty for quite a while. Drinks are reasonable and the cocktail bar was fab. The only down side was the constant old music... seriously if the music clears the dance floor just change it and don't make us keep on listening to it. Change the era of music or change the DJ as we all said the same.

Pub
The Moorbrook is a traditional pub with a surprising addition of a proper pizza oven, offering an extensive selection of topping combinations. It's a popular spot for both locals and visitors, providing a cozy atmosphere to enjoy real ale, cider, and lager. The pub also features covered outdoor seating and friendly staff. In addition to its great beer selection, it offers delicious wood-fired pizzas along with other tasty options like chips, onion rings, and haloumi fries.
If you're looking for a pub with a lovely welcoming friendly staff, a great selection of beers and ales, tasty food with a menu that also caters for vegetarian and vegan diets, a great atmosphere, and many original features from its Victorian origin then you've come to the right place. Whether you want to sit at the bar, play darts, listen to live music or sit in one of the separate rooms for a meal, a quiet pint by yourself, enjoy the beer garden, play tennis table and enjoy a great pizza baked in outdoor oven and more, then this is definitely a pub for you.
JEM M — Google review
On first entering the Moorbrook it looks like a tiny little old pub, with a great selection of ales. Then you walk outside and discover a huge outdoor seating area with ping pong table, pool table, huge pizza oven and loads of seats under cover. The pizzas are really tasty and we also tried the chilli loaded fries, tempura battered broccoli and onion rings. The onion rings were a bit heavy on the batter, and over cooked but everything else was delicious. I don’t think Slimming World would approve of their menu 😆 they have a great selection of Vegan options too

Argyle on tour! Up at 4am to catch a 6hr train journey to play Preston. This was the pub of choice for "we" regular pals from all over the country to meet. And a good choice too. Cracking atmosphere, home and away fans having good banter and having a pint....or two! Lots of good choices for real ale, cider and lager. I was drinking "memento" brewed in Reading apparently. Excellent service considering how busy it was. Unfortunately we lost 2 - 1 undeservedly......brilliant match and atmosphere!!

Went for a business meeting. Amazing pizzas - 10 outta 10. Onion rings were the best we've ever had. The chap behind the bar was very welcoming and friendly. Think his name was Daniel. The Moorbrook One word: Pizza! Short review : Stunning pizzas. Beer garden. Great selection of beers. William Morris wallpaper. Again... Wow pizzas! Detailed review: We happened to be near Moor Park and the Preston CAMRA guidebook led us to this hidden gem. I am surprised not many people talk about this place as it's wood fired pizzas are so astoundingly good. What greets you when you enter is a standard English pub with wooden decor. There are two rooms with strawberry thief wallpaper, simple furniture, multiple books & games, a few screens playing Sky sports and an impressive selection of beer on tap. We were told that the beer garden is good but we were comfortable indoors. We had a tough time deciding on the beer, cause there is quite a bit to choose from. I guess it's OK to make mistakes and discover new flavours. The halloumi fries were simply fried halloumis which were understandably salty but were well balanced with the exceedingly sweet chilli dip. An extreme flavour battle. We had the "Buffalo got beef" pizza. Stunning! The amalgamation of mozzarella, buffalo chicken, pastrami, chilli and blue cheese was extremely satisfying. Refreshing and tantalising us for more. The pizzas tasted best hot. Gluttony is a sin and we indulged in it by devouring a portion of loaded fries, which stuffed us and gave us a salt-moreish overload. The beef chilli loaded chips with guacamole, sour cream & salsa could be a meal in itself. Interesting flavours, but the pizza was the hands-down winner. Possibly one of the best pizza in the city. Highly recommended! Great pizza & beer..perfect ingredients for a good life /evening.

The food is amazing and Beth and Craig are great company. The place has completely transformed in terms of service and atmosphere. Bevs are great, i usually get a tasty pint of Guinness. It would be nice if they had a more unique cocktail menu but it’s still well worth the visit. The outside is also lovely and the weather is picking up. Love to see it on the up.

Visited this establishment with family on my recent trip to Preston. The ambiance and service were amazing. It was slightly disappointing that they didn’t service halal options, would be good to see that on the menu next time around. The halloumi fries were amazing in texture and size but were slightly salty. The food and service were exceptional, including the matcha latte - definitely coming back and recommending this to anyone looking to have brunch with a wonderful contemporary ambiance.

Lovely vibe and a great place to meet friends for a cake and drinks. We enjoyed a little bit of a working morning and sampled both the lunch and the cakes. I only marked it down on the food as my friend is gluten free and struggled to find something she could eat. It would be helpful to be able to adapt the menu and reduce the cost manually, it seems unfair to pay full price when she has to remove half of the meal... Other than that we liked it and will be back!

Great food, cakes and coffee (my go to is a peppermint tea). Friendly staff, clean environment. My go to place!
Daniel G — Google review
Really smart establishment, quite modern (a bit in an awkward place/not where you'd expect side of Preston) but the prices were steep for what you got - not only that, but the portion sizes left a little to be desired, and the service was slow (granted, it could have been a one-off..?). We came here to try with friends for breakfast - won't be going back it left that much of a bad impression.
Ash H — Google review
A bit hit and miss for brunch!! I ordered the scrambled eggs with a side of smoked salmon as I saw someone’s go past looking delightful. The eggs were unfortunately a bit congealed and dry, a bit over cooked despite looking promising (maybe they were sitting under a heat lamp after being ready?). The smoked salmon looked like it had been cut directly out of a packet and dropped on the plate, with all the layers still stuck together haha. Matcha oat latte was yummy! My partner enjoyed his broughton banger (big sausage and egg muffin) and the egg was cooked fab with a runny yolk. We think they served his muffin with two muffin bottoms though? Or it was one very big muffin! They do also tend to forget drinks orders or run out of ingredients. But overall the staff are really friendly and we do like coming. So will try and pick another dish to try next time!!

Lovely atmosphere and the coffee is delicious! Our food was really lovely, not especially mind-blowing (hence 4 instead of 5 stars) but delightful non the less! Fantastic pub conveniently located next to the station. Offers a great selection of real ales, quality lagers, and a welcoming atmosphere with plenty of seating. Making only my second visit to Preston town centre. Came for a footie game at Deepdale many years ago. Popped into this CAMRA 2024 entry pub close to the railway station. So close that they have a departure board for said station. Very good value food. Visited with Madge and Jorvic. Proper and large pub with covered outdoor area to the rear. Jorvic had a pint of Stanley's 3.8% pale from Kirkby Lonsdale brewery. One of five available on handpump. Very good. Lots of TV'S. A little bit shabby in places but Madge likes it. Might be back for breakfast tomorrow!

It's been a long time since I'd been in The Old Vic in Preston and I was pleasantly surprised. We went there to watch the Six Nations and got a good seat for the six of us. The choice of beers was good and the atmosphere was good as it was busy. There were a number of TVs to watch with most having the rugby on by some also showing football. The sound was weird as the pub speakers were playing the TV sound so it sounded like the commentators were in an echo chamber (maybe the TV sound was also on). No hot food meant that we had to leave to eat but that was OK.

Ship and Giggles is a great pub that offers delicious food, drink and sports. It's a great place to relax with friends or attend good nights out. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the pub has an amazing atmosphere. Its location makes it perfect for anyone looking for a fun night out in town.
A very good pub/club Hard to say what it would come under. Very much depends on the day you go in. The quite nights are very enjoyable as it's more of a pub with afew retro or recent consoles on in corners. Or pool and darts available. The price for drinks are what you'd expect. The more I've gone the more I've learnt the best days for the best deals. Such as kraken on Saturdays being cheaper. The atmosphere when it's busy is borderline club esque. It is fun to be with so many people all at once with beer pong available and louder music being on. Would recommend for a bar night out or just a night out.

I'm updating my review to reflect the outstanding service and professionalism I experienced during a recent issue. The manager and a staff member at Ships and Giggles went above and beyond to address my concerns. They took the time to thoroughly investigate the matter, including reviewing CCTV footage, and provided me with a clear and detailed explanation of the situation. Their willingness to listen and ensure I had all the necessary information made a significant difference to me. The manager was incredibly polite, approachable, and helpful throughout the entire process, ensuring that everything was handled fairly and respectfully. The clarification I received about the ban was both thorough and reasonable. Now that I’ve served the ban, I’m more than happy to update my review to acknowledge their efforts. Additionally, I’d like to highlight their amazing pizza! It’s honestly some of the best I’ve had and one of the reasons I was so eager to resolve this matter. The quality of their food, combined with the exceptional customer service, speaks volumes about what they offer. Thank you to the team for taking the time to handle this matter with such care—it truly means a lot to me and has left a positive impression. I appreciate the level of professionalism and understanding shown, and I look forward to visiting again soon for more of that fantastic pizza!

Popadom Palace is a fantastic and tasty take away that always arrives piping hot, and doesn't take too long to wait for your order. They also have some great chicken kebabs as well as delicious chips. However, one particular delivery driver can be quite miserable and quite rude, which may not be to everyone's taste.
Ordered food earlier tonight. It arrived within 30 minutes, was piping hot and everything we ordered was delicious. Great take away.
Christine C — Google review
I order from here every weekend. Lovely fantastic and tasty food, always comes piping hot and not too long to wait for order compared to other takeaways. I would recommend the chicken kebabs and the chips are great. My only complaint is one particular deliver driver, who is miserable and very rude. Think he's foreign and possibly Polish. If you don't like your job then get another my friend, simples.
David G — Google review
Last night 3 friends and I ordered from popodom palace, when we got our food, the rice was overcooked for the curry and the sauce tasted awful, the chips tasted like they were stale and had been warmed up, the garlic bread was cold and the chicken looked grey inside and did not taste nice either. Neither of us were able to finish our food and did not feel well after eating what we could of it. The delivery driver then rang up to check he had delivered it, unsure why and when we told them on the phone that the food did not taste good the man did not say a word and then hung up the phone. I do not expect 5* food by all means from takeaways however I expect some quality after spending 28 pound all together and afterwards I was quite concerned after reading the hygiene rating online for this takeaway and was shocked to see that this place had a rating of 1 which worries me. Definitely would not go to this takeaway in the future.
Rachelle C — Google review
Lovely food and great service! however the delivery driver is very rude, throws around the word "respect" when as soon as my partner answers the phone after the 3rd attempt, ripped into him cause he couldn't see the numbers on the door which were VERY CLEARLY there. He wore no mask and tried shoving receipts into my face breaching the 2 meter rule. When I turned to go in, he made a cough-hacking sound and muttered under his breath staring at me driving off... please Poppadom palace, get someone new to do your deliveries cause he is losing a lot of your custom!!!
Michelle F — Google review
Chicken burger sizzler was not worth £4.50, and still using a card charge even though it was banned on 13 January this year is ridiculous, no refund given or offered after complaining. Shocking food, shocking service and a downright rip off. I wouldn't feed it to a rat.
James E — Google review
Shameful. I went there sober at midnight night and personally witnessed that the staff attempted to charge more than the advertised price to inebriated students and also attempted to short change them as well as me! When I picked up the cashier (Who I got the impression that he may have been the owner) on not giving me the correct change he put is hand up (Yes he showed me the hand!) and walked away and continued to ignore me.

We Come for the NHS bottomless brunch. Which was a fantastic deal. Lily was our waitress. bubbly character Fantastic waitress and she did not leave us dry. We stayed on for drinks after the brunch had finish and parted until 1am

Daughter's 21st held in private high room at Preston. Extremely well organised and accommodated us decorating the room with balloons etc. Great to deal with, party was fantastic. Definitely recommend (no food on this occasion so not rated)

We came for Late Night Brunch for the first time and really enjoyed it. Anna our waitress came all the time offering us more cocktails even when we was still drinking! The Pornstar Martinis were divine 🍸and the pizza was very tasty too. Very good value for money and would highly recommend. Would definitely go again.

We did the bottomless brunch last week and it is DEFINITELY worth the money !!! We spent 35£ pp and we probably got about 60£ worth of drinks! Amazing night and I will definitely be doing it again!! The staff are so attentive and so lovely and the food was amazing. The service was amazing from the staff: Robynne, Stefan and Dante, as soon as we finished one drink, the staff were so quick to service us and ask for another!! I 100% recommend. The only downside is that there isn't alot of variety of drinks: the pornstar martinis , around 4 cocktail options, peroni and champagne, it gets quite repetitive. But other than that, I would recommned!!

Bottomless brunch!! The best one in Preston. Booked for my partners birthday. From the moment we walked in till the moment our brunch ended Tasha kept us fully topped up. She even gone the extra mile by getting to know us, getting to know her and providing the best service we’ve ever experienced. Tasha you are honestly one in a million.

Had the most amazing time at bottomless brunch! Everything was spot on – from the food and drinks to the atmosphere. Our server, Scott, was absolutely fantastic! So friendly, attentive, and made sure we were looked after the whole time. Honestly can’t fault a thing. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Table booked for bottomless brunch at 6.30. We didnt get our 1st drink until 6.50 then told at 7.50 that we had to order our last drinks. Waited ages for drinks to be served to us. However 2 girls on the table next to us was getting 2/3 drinks at a time every few minutes because apparently they knew the staff. Probably got a total or 6 drinks each. Not really worth it. Food was good. Choice was very limited and of what choice they did offer some of it wasnt even available.

What a great little craft bar. Plenty of different style options on tap and a fridge with plenty of cans and bottles to choose from too. Lovely atmosphere even when fairly quiet. Decent prices and liked been able to taste test before buying.

Lovely bar with an excellent selection of real ale and craft beers. I would certainly recommend a visit if you're in the area. They have seating outside. They are dog friendly

A CAMRA Good Beer Guide Bar so another must visit. It was busy downstairs on a cold St Andrew's day in 2023. Four real ales so Jorvic tried a half pint from two. A few seats out front were empty on a minus C evening. There is an upstair room but Madge went out...silly Madge.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
4 real ale cask, 10 key keg. Small place and busy, but worth a visit. Best to the Black Horse. Beer always exceedingly well kept here.
Peter B — Google review
A little place but a lot of character and even more choice of ale. A very knowledgeable and helpful Joe behind the bar helped me with choosing what to drink offering tasters before buying. Seating outside for when the weather is good. Only downside is the toilets are upstairs and no lift but otherwise I can highly recommend this delightful little place

Saturday 10th May 2025 This is a brilliant friendly easy going Micopub There are 2 floors with seating areas, and there is a good outside drinking place at the front of the pub There is really nice staff tonight, and the locals are pleasant also

Great bar, great service, great beers changed regularly. The bar staff are always willing to advise and offer a taster if required. It can get crowded downstairs but there is always room upstairs if you want to chill out.

The Orchard is a great little craft beer bar with excellent cask ale selection. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the gin range is well worth checking out. The only downside is that they don't serve chilled champagne - but this just makes it all the more enjoyable when you can tuck into one of their delicious beers!
It was delicious, even though I think I should have asked more about one of the dishes I chose because I don't like tomatoes that much. But the place is amazing, and the staff are welcoming.
G T — Google review
Nice little real ale bar - was a bit limited on options when I went in as although there were about 12 taps on, most were fruited (I remember about 2 lemon/citrus ones) or very dark which isn't my taste. Decent though and nice decor! Well worth a visit!
Mark P — Google review
Nice little craft beer bar serving a range of craft beer unfortunately a little low on choice during our visit this time which was a little disappointing, however it's worth a visit if you are doing the rounds. Toilets not in bar but are available close by. Must say last visit was much better choices and a little busier so don't let this put ya off. Time of year and all that jazz.
Bri W — Google review
Found this little craft ale bar by the market totally by accident. Had a lovely pint of chocolate and Honeycomb stout. We chatted and had a very nice coversation the the young barman. Very friendly place. We talked about beers and places we had visited on the continent. He gave us directions to their other bar around the corner. We will definitely pop in again.
Dave M — Google review
Jorvic was surprised how small Preston Market is compared to local Lancashire towns. Luckily this CAMRA Good Beer Guide bar is situated here; twixt inside and outside halves. Madge was surprised only one real ale ready out of two handpumps. Still, a good pint of Wilde Child blond ale. Small warm interior drinks area plus covered outside area..more popular in summer.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
Lovely little tap room nestled in the market area. Lots of good beers on offer and the lady serving at the bar was really friendly. It was a pretty cold day when we visited and they had heaters on which kept the bar lovely and warm. There's an outdoor are with extra seating. I chose the lambic, which was a stunning beer and my wife has a mango Lilley's cider.

Great place to enjoy the sunshine and catchup. The Orchard is a small but pleasant pub located in Preston indoor market with a plethora of options in beer and gin. Simple interiors with innumerable coasters adorned on the walls give this joint a welcoming vibe. We had an interesting blueberry pastry stout called Muffin else matters and a hazy pale ale called Steady Rolling man. Refreshing flavours. The bartender was courteous, helpful and offered us a sample helping us choose our drink. With no television/screen competing for your attention, this seems like good place to catch up and converse. Recommended!

5/5 food was so delicious. Meat melted in your mouth it was so fresh. Cocktails were amazing! Good value for money. Staff were really friendly and worked so well under pressure on a very busy Saturday too. We will be back, thank you 🩷

A fantastic alternative to chain type burger restaurants. We had lunch and the pricing was straightforward and offered great value at £8. One of my colleagues has an allergy, the Chef spoke to him and was able to provide a meal that was perfect for him. The two staff members were attentive and very welcoming. The food was plentiful and delicious. The beer and cocktail offerings will bring cheer to most lol. The Camden Hells, was the best pint I have had of this beer anywhere in the UK. Dogs are welcome, and kids too, although we never saw any of them. The location is a 5 minute walk from Preston Station.

Our favourite food spot in Preston by a mile! The staff are fantastic, always super friendly and happy to help. The food is always so fresh and tasty for a very reasonable price, and there is a great selection of drinks! Cannot recommend this place enough.
Leah S — Google review
Amazing food but very poor and slow service. We got up to get some menus after waiting, then it wasn't clear if it was table service after another decent wait so I got up to order. Drinks literally never came out, we finished our food and our drinks had still not come so we got a refund for that on the way out. Slight issue there is you actually pay and have to choose your tip when ordering so I gave 10% but not only is that 10% on a higher amount that included drinks we never had but I wouldn't have even given a tip based on the service.
Anthony B — Google review
Visited tonight as a family of four and was really impressed with the food. 3 of us had burgers and 1 hotdog. All was amazing and would give more than 5 stars and seasoned fries were absolutely spit on too. Good value at £70 with drinks for 4 people for the quality of food. Staff were really good and nice touch with the consoles for kids to use. Will definitely recommend and will definitely return 😁🍻

Lime Bar and Lounge is the perfect destination for a delightful afternoon or an unforgettable evening. Their versatile afternoon tea offers a choice between classic options like finger sandwiches and scones, or unique themes such as cheese or gin-infused treats, all complemented by refreshing cocktails like gin or Prosecco. The culinary experience is elevated with offerings from Chamo, where dishes like chicken-loaded fries and the Chuck & Cheese Sando shine with fresh flavors.
I had an amazing afternoon at Lime Bar, enjoying incredible cocktails and fantastic food from Chamo, now operating inside the bar. The flavors were out of this world—everything tasted so fresh and perfectly balanced. We tried the chicken-loaded fries and the Chuck & Cheese Sando, both of which were absolutely delicious. The cocktails were some of the best we’ve had, complementing the food perfectly. If you’re looking for top-tier drinks and mouthwatering food, Lime Bar is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

My son held a graduation party here last night, from the point of arranging the booking to arriving on the day I couldn’t fault the service. We hired the mezzanine and there was a DJ and live music on the night. The lads said the atmosphere was epic, Lime Bar has always had a classy vibe about it I must say. Last night they had a pop up kitchen outside serving Indian street food. The smells were next level I must say. The barman (sorry can’t remember his name( and Carol gave us a massive warm welcome on the day sorted me out with a bucket of booze that started the boys night. Highly recommend if you have a small get together

Great first evening out after the extended lockdown. Lovely server who knew what she was doing and was happy to serve us. One downside was that the boy would bring our shots out two at a time spilling it along the way, and when advised to bring it on a tray like the other server he’d just shrug his shoulders and carry on. Other than that, very nice environment with warm outdoor seating space.

Friday night 8 August. Drinks good. Mix of age groups which was good but Music was absolutely crap. Nightclub rather than catering for all age groups e.g. mix of 80s 90s 00s etc. I saw people my age walk in and walk straight out. Bar was half empty at 10:30pm.

Didn't eat, just visited for a couple of drinks tonight. Bar service, swift and friendly. Pineapple cider.. maybe not the highlight 😅 George the doorman, top fella. First visit after the re-opening and was very impressed. You descend from the street into a world reminiscent of Spain or Portugal. Beautifully presented seating and an amazing selection of very reasonably priced wines, sold by glass or by the bottle. Cheese and charcuterie boards are also available. With a very knowledgeable guy at the bar to assist the undecided; what's not to like? Situated only a hundred yards from Preston's famous Flag Market this is a lovely place to relax and meet friends.

One of Preston's hidden gems. With its candles and twinkly lights, this place transports you and feels like you could be in a trendy wine bar on Las Ramblas! Cheese platters are excellent and the choice of wine is incredible. We had a Portuguese and a Georgian red, both of which were delicious. The staff are very friendly, chatty and welcoming. The atmosphere is delightful and always seems to attract a lovely crowd. It's unique, nowhere else quite like it in Preston, so somewhere to really treasure.

One of the absolute loveliest places in Preston, loved it here before it closed and still loving it now it’s re-opened! The staff are always so lovely - last time we were here we came with family who couldn’t quite remember that they don’t do table service and kept wandering off after ordering, but they were so patient and helpful about it even though they were extremely busy that night! Decided to come in again today with my partner after a morning of bad news, the cozy atmosphere turned our moods around completely even though we managed to keep ordering wines we ended up not liking. The staff were extremely kind about us bringing back a mostly-full bottle and gave us glasses of a lovely Riesling we ended up loving - definitely trust their judgement better than our own!

Great food which is freshly cooked to order. We hadn't been here for a number of years and weren't disappointed. We selected different items from the menu, but my husband said that his Sunday roast was one of the best he had tasted. The other meals were all tasty and well cooked too. Drink prices also very reasonable. I don't eat desserts very often but was able to enjoy a cocktail - £6 or 2 for £10. It is such a pity that more people are not visiting this 'hidden gem'

Upstairs is nice, cute vibe. It's bar service so you find a table on your own then go order. If you sit by the door you can smell people smoking outside. Bathrooms are cute, with adorable sinks. Lock for the toilet stall was a bit tricky, I put it to being new. Selection of sauces on table, I like the garlic Chipotle. Both me and my partner had a burrito, so light I can throw it up in the air like it's nothing 😂 Sadly Dry ! Just meat, rice and beans on there. Definitely needs cheese or sour cream or guac or salsa, just something else with moisture. Not to say it wasn't a very nice tasting burrito, because it was a good flavour, I had the beef one. Nice guac! As apposed to their counter part restaurant wings and beer Co, which it just a funky green sauce 😂 Nachos are delightful ! The small portion was enough for 2 I think. I didn't have one of their many cocktails but I will be coming back to try them next time!

Great decor with music to match. Only went in for cocktails, so cannot comment on the food. The only negative I can give at the moment is that the bar service is very slow, after waiting in the bar queue for 10 mins, it took a further 20 mins for drinks to come to the table.
Harmesh C — Google review
We ordered 2 burritos and nachos. The nachos where lovely! Fresh tasting guac and salsa! With a nacho cheese sauce(similar to that at the cinemas), would probably get again! The burritos.. where very light and only consisted of the filling you choose (vegan duck in my case) and rice. So there isn't a whole lot to the burrito. The mock duck was lovely and the rice tasted nice, it looked like there might have been an attempt to put some refried beans in there but hardly any. The entire burrito was extremely dry even the sauces at the table couldn't help!! £8 for a burrito. I expect some extras in there like guac/salsa/some veg maybe. Just something to give it some moisture and heft! Noone likes a light burrito. The included sauces at the table where nice, with a decent variation.! Overall it was an alright experience. But if we where to come again I think it might just be to try the cocktails and have some more nachos.

Don’t believe the hype, looks can be deceiving! Since I discovered this place a couple of months back, I couldn’t wait to come here for dinner and tonight was the night. I’m a huge fan of Mexican food and often dine out and cook at home. This place looked good and the reviews also sounded great. But… it wasn’t all that. I ordered the ‘Taco in a bowl’ which was terrible. I hated it. The protein on top (chicken) was short in supply and soggy and lukewarm, the bed of lettuce was standard, and the rice underneath (not listed on the menu description) was luke warm and bland. Paying £8 for a below-average dish isn’t what I travelled 30 mins for! When the waitress came to check, I told her my feedback, and she returned with ‘My supervisor said you could have a refund or something else’. That’s it - no apology, no explanation, no ‘it’s not usually like this’ or anything. So, refund in hand, I’m off to eat somewhere else. Also the nachos were pretty average with a £2-accompanying pot of cheese sauce that was microwaved. Won’t return.

1st time visiting here, got to say what a lovely place this is. Love the colourful decor. Service was prompt & very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious without hesitation will definitely visit again.

The Sun Hotel is a great place to stay in London. The staff are fantastic and the service at the bar was busy. It has a great atmosphere with a mix of all types of people.
Proper old Preston pub and still one of the best. Last time I was in here was about 30 odd years ago! More open plan than I remember but still full of proper Preston people. Prices haven’t changed much either 😜

I'm really undecided about this place. Beer (carling) was pretty naff. Music was perfect for an 80's old git. Anyway you come and decide. Not sure I'll be back until full swing weekend. Now I've got to run away. Once I ran to you. OH 😜 (soft cell in case you didn't know)

Rough and ready pub in a good location. Man who runs the karaoke could do with some work on his hosting / customer service skills. Not a bad place for a fun pint at the start of the night.
Casey S — Google review
Very comfortable, clean, & pleasant local Irish pub. Staff very cheerful and friendly. Local pub to watch Celtic game & many more. Only 7 minutes walk from Preston town centre.

Kenny Everet behind the bar has mastered the art of multi tasking. Two pints ordered, paid and poured as he was in the process of sorting another big order. some mon. If I'd had cash I'd have tipped him, but I didn't - so I didn't. Mon the hoops

Went to a birthday bash, fantastic atmosphere, bands on all day, service from the bar was excellent, especially considering the amount of people, just a great day 👍🏻

well we went in on Saturday 16th December it was very very busy as you can imagine round Christmas time but as usual the staff got the job done there where 16 of us and we didn't really wait to long to get served the bar is very nice and clean the staff are fantastic great service at the bar definitely worth a visit

The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. The bar staff are great and the beer is never flat. Free pool on a Monday (if I recall correctly) which is great considering some pubs in the same area charge up to £1.50 per game.

Cocktail bar
Hogarths is a great bar in Preston City Centre with an impressive entrance. It has a cosy atmosphere and efficient staff, and the prices are good. The decor is stylish and it's busy on the weekends.
I would like to commend the management of Martin and Zoe. VE Day has been spectacular with a fantastic turnouts. The effort involved has been well appreciated by all who attended today, entertainment, food, free drinks to toast the days events and all the bunting to take you back in to a time of celebration and acknowledgement of those that fought and those that lost their lives. I was proud to be in a venue with such dedication and patriotic values. The place was packed out full of people laughing, dancing and singing. The people who work hard to give us all this are very much appreciated by it's patrons. Note to those who come in and love to find faults wherever they are, just because your experience hasn't been up to the standards you expect and imagined. Please just be non judgmental and give it a chance, don't be so demanding and want everything at the click of a finger, your need the only person in there and the staff will endeavour to serve you accordingly. Show a bit of patience and gratitude. Only my opinion but hate the doom and groomers. If your criticism is constructive then great but my problem is watching people come through the door, turn their nose up without actually spending time and taking in life's characters and the fun loving nature and stories to be told. Again this is only my opinion but I do know there will be plenty that share it. To Hogarths management top to bottom thankyou.

Good prices but just 2 staff on a Saturday! 15 minute wait at the bar, glasses piled up everywhere, Cruzcampo served in Coors, no locks on the toilets, wee all over the floor!

Bit of a old man's pub, especially in the evening. However had a pleasant drink about noon. Beer is well priced.
