Cocktail bar
Public is a trendy bar located beneath Sheffield town hall, known for its extensive signature cocktail menu. Despite its unusual origins as a former public toilet, the bar has been transformed into an atmospheric space with pastel pink and deep green decor reminiscent of a Wes Anderson film set. The venue prides itself on using unique cocktail ingredients like white cacao, fermented rhubarb, fluffed orange, and truffle oil to offer an unforgettable experience.
Quirky space. Great drinks, good service. They'll spin the disco ball on demand. Definitely worth a visit for the cocktail lover
Dean R — Google review
An intimate, first-come-first-serve bar with a sense of occasion. The setting is undeniably unique—housed in a renovated public toilet—which is both intriguing and slightly off-putting. Cocktails are expensive but crafted with real artistry right in front of you, making the experience feel personal and indulgent. Service is exceptional: warm, engaging, and a true highlight of the visit. The atmosphere matches the exclusivity, offering a refined space for those willing to dress the part.
Gastronomy C — Google review
One of my good friends took me here as part of to trying out a few bars/ pubs for my first time in Sheffield and was a lovely bar to have a chat over a cocktail or two. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful asking us if we needed anything/ attentive as well as gave us tips on the drink flavour profiles. It’s a unique intimate setting but quite quirky/novelty place for a drink in Sheffield. Considering how much they fit into one drink it’s definitely worth a try to see if there’s one that fits you and is good to support local bars!
Hannah W — Google review
Really enjoyed our visit to Public yesterday. It's a tiny bar, housed in a former public toilet in Sheffield city centre. The atmosphere and playlist were great and the team are super friendly and welcoming. The cocktails were very good, with unusual flavours and quality spirits. We tried two cocktails each and really enjoyed both. We'll be back!
Oona M — Google review
It's possible I just made a bad call with the drink I ordered, but my partners was similar. Barely any drink, huge price tag, and the spirit overpowered any actual enjoyable flavour. Atmosphere and staff were lovely though. Worth it for a one-off to see what it was like, but can't see myself coming back.
Bradley A — Google review
Previous experience was fantastic, only to be greated with nothing but distant on arrival Although busy we witnessed 7 people leave the establishment , despite being part of a group of 3 we were eventually we were eventually told, “walk ins only”. No body else was waiting and. We were looking for our initial drink of the evening. Whilst I understand the clientele should match the venue it appears 3 gentlemen were not “the look” the venue was looking for. We went there as the cocktails from previous experience were the best annd have on first knowledge was “the place” in Sheffield. Sadly not. Avoid.
Craig M — Google review
After seeing the good reviews, we decided to pop in for a few pre-gig drinks. We didn't book, but they found space for us in a snug booth. Great service from Jack who went through the menu and provided water whilst we chose our drinks. Best drink for me was the Heavy Hitter and the wife's was Can't Knock It. Staff were great and attentive but gave us plenty of time to savour our drinks. Also served by another staff member but didn't catch his name (he was sporting a retro jumper). Good music and vibes. Thanks to Jack and jumpers. Would definitely visit again.

Bar
Picture House Social is a relaxed pub that offers Neapolitan-style pizzas and Italian street food. It's described as the "Crystal Maze for hipsters" with a cocktail bar, games room, and cinema. The menu features adventurous pizza options like the 'Gareth' and 'Buffalo 66', along with sides such as arancini and kimchi fries.
This place is pretty cool, so many different things to do here like shuffleboard on the floor, Sports on TV, and a comedy show the night we were there. It is completely the vibe I like, very dive bar ish. Staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable about their jobs. There is a nice patio out back but it was raining the day we were there. We were there to catch up with friends and just relax so we didn't get up to any of the activities, but we did each have a pizza and shared some fries. Everything was delicious and my vegetarian Friends were happy! It's very funky here and I really like that, it's a fun place to hang out and socialize. If you use the Ladies definitely push the button! 😀

My partner and I spontaneously decided to go for food at Picture Social House. I was almost sure that we are not gonna be able to find a table without a booking and I was right. It was fully booked but the host was really polite and he suggest that we can sit on a bench and an old barrel was our table and it was actually really cool!!! We both had the beef pizza which was really good and the Henderson's fries which were an absolute heaven!!! And I am absolutely sure that they were home made and not from a packet because they reminded me of my grandma's fries from the olden days! 5 stars!!! 💜
Eva M — Google review
Went here for food and drinks on a Friday evening, really lovely atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. Pizza was amazing, new menu was great way more choices. We have the lamb pizza and the blue cheese and mushroom, both fab! Had poutine as well which was just as good! Will definitely be coming back

I would like to thank all the staff that went above and beyond with help for our daughters wedding reception we had so much fun and the food was so good !

Different. But in a good way. I mean what other bars have beer, pizza, board games, table tennis, arcade machines, projector screen for football and what looks like a mini cinema? There is a good atmosphere and a good crowd. Sits very well with the area it's in. Well worth a visit.

Great pizza, real ale and shuffle board! A fantastic place with a lovely atmosphere. Kids and dogs welcome up til 9pm too. A brilliantly different evening out with family and friends.
Craig B — Google review
Always consistently excellent. Staff can't do enough, great drinks, the food is ridiculously great value and we never have a bad time here.

Really nice place! It is definitely different and had a bit of edge to it. You walk down the stairs and there's the bar. They do some food as well and we had the katsu chips and they were lovely

Modern British restaurant

Modern European restaurant
Restaurant
Silversmiths in Sheffield offers modern British cuisine with a strong Yorkshire influence, served in a relaxed environment suitable for everyone. The restaurant is located in a reclaimed wood-panelled, former cutlery works room and is known for its easy-going Sunday lunch featuring dishes like iberico pork, cured salmon, roast chicken, and aged topside beef. Silversmiths is highly regarded for its focus on using the best culinary products from Yorkshire and its elegant decor.
My partner and I came for an early anniversary celebration. I have been following Tom on socials for a while now and saw he had recently taken over as Head Chef here at Silversmiths and that he is aiming for a star. I’ve been wanting to come and try the food since he took over and I was blown away this evening! Every element of every dish had had so much time and effort put into it, everything was so carefully thought out and every flavour shined through perfectly. A lot of fine dining establishments really overdo it on flavours and elements leaving you lost within a dish and not really knowing what flavours your getting but this menu was so perfectly executed that literally every ingredient on the plate could be tasted and appreciated, even the small things such as the tomato’s on the stone bass dish, which absolutely made the plate! Service was also impeccable, super friendly staff that instantly made you feel welcome and at ease within the restaurant. We cannot wait to come back and try the new menu and we’re certain there will be a Michelin star next to your name very soon! Thankyou Tom and The Team! 💕
Shauni W — Google review
Gorgeous food, small, finessed plates with lots of flavour. We tried the supper club menu which was £30 for 3 courses and we left feeling really pleased. The waitress was super friendly. A very quiet restaurant so not too much atmosphere but what I expected for the type of food.
Kira L — Google review
Made a stop for bottomless brunch and was pleasantly surprised. Usually the food is an after thought for these kind of things, but not here. Proper restaurant fare and good quality ingredients used. Drinks were all nice and service was very attentive with it never feeling like there was a gap where you felt left without. Hate off to the staff, definitely worth the price tag and then some.
Jake H — Google review
We attended the silversmiths takes over of Selena's night. The amazing taster menu provided by tom was matched with special cocktails perfectly matched to the taster menu. The special sherbet on the outside of the glasses was a revelation to me . It gave me the different taste notes that matched each delectable course. as a non drinker with just soda water a lick of the sherbet with each drink elevated the taste. I think lickable glasses are the future!!

We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and we have a lovely time. The service was really really good, and the food was excellent as well. Totally recommended
David T — Google review
This relaxed yet stylish restaurant, Silversmiths, based in the centre of Sheffield, provides modern British cuisine, with a touch of Yorkshire influence. This award-winning restaurant advertises their midweek menu as “affordable sophistication.” They value these refined dishes by featuring locally sourced and fresh produce, cooked to perfection. We went to check out the latest Midweek menu offering for Silversmith’s Midweek Supper Club; Available Tues – Thur, Starters £5 / Mains £15 / Sides £5 / Desserts £5. [Ad] Please note that we visited in February, and the menu is set to change regularly, so please visit their website to find their latest Midweek Menu here. We enjoyed; ⭐️ Beef Jerky starter – we decided to share this as we wanted to limit ourselves to 2 courses but I had my heart set on trying a dessert too. We felt the portion was small, however all elements were really tasty. ⭐️ Steak [+£10 surcharge] – the steak was cooked to perfection. The potato fondant looked burnt, however was actually great. ⭐️ Cod Loin – This was so delicious, I could have easily have eaten it again. ⭐️ Cherry Bakewell Dessert (shared) – The cherry flavouring in this dessert was spot on. Really glad I opted to try a dessert. Every dish was plated very aesthetically and with great care. Every ingredient tasted delicious and complimented and elevated other elements on the plate really well. A nicely set out, smart restaurant. I could have eaten the Cod again it was so tasty. The only slight criticism, in our opinion, is that you definitely need 2 courses each here, we didn’t leave overly full. We could have easily ate 3 courses, however currently we are trying to slim down a little. Also, I feel that maybe the sides could be priced a little less than a starter? But we didn’t add any, so I can’t comment on the side portion size. You will save around £20pp on their A La Carte Menu, when you opt for their Midweek Menu, however some of the dishes on the A La Carte look fantastic, and there are a few complimentary nibbles with the A La Carte too! This restaurant also does Bottomless Brunch and a Sunday Dinner, which I have heard great things about, but yet to try myself. 💷 Spend: £30-£40pp (approx. £45 – £65pp for their A La Carte Menu) ⏰ Open Hours: Tues-Fri 5pm-11pm, Sat 12pm-3pm/5:30pm-11pm & Sun 12pm-5pm 🚗 Parking info: Nearby street parking only

Lovely Sunday roast and wine selection. We tried the beef and ham, both delicious. Shame there is no Bloody Mary on offer - perfect accompaniment to a roast!
Claire — Google review
Excellent Sunday lunch using top quality ingredients. The beef was especially good quality which literally melted in your mouth! Staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. I was a little disappointed that they didn't acknowledge that it was my Mum's 88th Birthday even though I had informed them with the booking and we did have a balloon at the table! 😂

Pub
The Benjamin Huntsman is a modern chain pub located in Sheffield, known for its curved wooden bar, TV screens, and outdoor seating. The pub serves food all day and is dog-friendly, with amenities such as dog biscuits on the bar and water bowls. The building's interior features industrial elements and large pipework, paying homage to Benjamin Huntsman's invention of crucible or cast steel in Sheffield around 1740.
We all know the reputation of this brand… and here it is totally not present… best range of beers and for the first time in my life, the table was cleared and cleaned in about 15 seconds… and it was really busy… well impressed… great work team, keep up the great standards
Enquiries B — Google review
We ended up having lunch in here after completing a Mystery Adventure Challenge. The staff were friendly and helpful offering to take a photo of us with the Golden Crane trophy 🏆 (which is what the challenge is about) The pub was really busy as it was a Saturday lunchtime but the service was timely and the range in the menu was good too. It was quieter upstairs which suited us just fine. We would happily return.
Jan W — Google review
The food is amazing and worth the money. Services are average, as i have had experiences where i found a table upstairs after a long wait (since the place is very crowded most of the time) but they told us we wont be able to order food as they dont serve food upstairs during that time. We had to wait longer to get another table downstairs.
ARPANA N — Google review
Popped in for a quick bite (ham and cheese panini) with plenty of coffee. Service was swift and our server after a while of eating, returned to check if everything was satisfactory, with a pleasant smile. A nice change, compared with other Wetherspoon pubs where the staff are quite sullen. Nice atmosphere too. Obviously many customers meeting up in groups for coffee or brunch.
Maria R — Google review
The service has to be one of the best I've experienced ever. The staff were perfect; friendly and helpful. I didn't feel rushed at all, it was a lovely atmosphere. Only 1 star less as the food was more expensive than I usually pay but it was very well cooked. The toilets were a bit cold as well, but other than that, a very enjoyable and relaxing experience
Multi M — Google review
I rather liked the Benjamin Huntsman when I visited on a recent trip to Sheffield. Located at the top of Cambridge St, it is only round the corner from another Wetherspoons, the Water Works. Benjamin Huntsman was notable for this steel producing town as he invented crucible or cast steel & he opened a plant in Sheffield around 1740. The building is rather interesting inside with itsl industrial elements & overly large pipework. Two coffee machines on the lower floor along with an accesible toilet located to the rear. Other toilets are on the second floor up a staircase - note at the time of visiting, the ladies toilets only flushed if you press both buttons at the same time. Some cubicles gave this instruction but not all, so just bear this in mind if paying a 'visit'!
Christine A — Google review
Nice Wetherspoons. Great atmosphere on a Friday afternoon. Food served super quick but brought the wrong order out first. Quickly took it away and changed to correct order with no problems. Cheap and cheerful place to go
Tara P — Google review
Like every other Wetherspoons Pretty much. Felt smaller than most others. The Shipyard tasted slightly better than any other Spoons I've been in and was a good pint overall.

British restaurant
Bungalows & Bears is a trendy pub located in a former fire station on Division Street in Sheffield. This unique venue has been a staple of the city's music scene for over a decade, hosting various events and live performances. The pub offers a mix of cask ales, cocktails, brunch, and burgers in an airy and modern setting. It has a vibrant atmosphere with a student-friendly vibe, making it an ideal spot to enjoy craft beers and comfort food while listening to great music.
Had a very enjoyable Christmas lunch with my work colleagues. The three course Christmas meal was excellent value for £17.50, with a nice twist on the Christmas theme. I had Pulled Turkey Yorkie to start, Santa's Christmas Beast burger for main and Festive Guinness Brownie for dessert. Staff were friendly and welcoming, providing and efficient service and we didn't feel rushed. The team seemed to enjoy themselves. Thank you so much to Sasha and all the staff at Bungalow & Bears for the delicious food and being so accommodating. Hope to see you again soon.

The place is very similar to The Flight Club with a wide variety of games to choose from for AR darts. The atmosphere is so lively any time of the day, and the service is super quick, too. Love that our game highlights are recorded for us to cherish.

Would definitely recommend for brunch, drinks and darts! We will definitely be back!

No real ale, very disappointing. How are you able to have 9 kegged beers and no proper beer, this place clearly doesn’t care about British brewing. Music also too loud. Had to drink dog (which is fine, but shouldn’t be the only drink available).

The establishment offers a bright and contemporary atmosphere with outside seating on the outdoor terrace, making it an ideal spot for enjoying cocktails or coffee. With a focus on local produce, Berts Barrow at Forum Sheffield showcases award-winning products from independent Yorkshire producers. There is a good selection of vegan food, especially pizza. We came here for breakfast, ordered a vegan burger and avocado toast. The coffee was amazing! I am very picky about coffee, but this was the best coffee I have ever had. We came here for the first time and the staff made us feel comfortable. The prices are high, but it is justified by the delicious food and good service. Definitely 5 stars!
Didi — Google review
I was en route to Weston Park and spotted the Forum which is close to Devonshire Green. It’s a big venue but there was a board outside advertising coffee so I went and was directed to the coffee bar area down several steps (there is an entrance to the coffee bar coming in by the external seating area which avoids steps). I ordered an oat milk latte and sat on one of the high stools. I asked about gluten free cakes etc and the barista pointed out a chocolate brownie. This was in a display case next to other products, not correctly labelled with no cover or separate serving equipment. I advised the barista about this but got no response other than a bemused look. NB I am not coeliac but avoid gluten. The coffee was good.
Anne S — Google review
Visited for breakfast with vouchers for free coffee after shopping at Vulgar, next door. The vegan danish was lovely, fruit with a chocolate ganache. Forum has a very cool environment and the music is great. The perfect start to our last day in Sheffield.

Hired a private space for a work social with food for over 20 of us. The space was perfect and private without being too tucked away and the food was excellent. Great selection of dishes that worked for all dietary requirements, clearly labelled and staff were very attentive all night. Great selection of drinks. Would recommend for any catering and work events.

Although we'd gone for food, I'd have been more than happy to spend the evening there. Not only was the food awesome, but the beers/cocktails were amazing, and the tunes were banging! May be a train next time!

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and were blown away by how amazing the staff are. Our ticket got lost on its way to the kitchen meaning we were waiting a long time, but once we raised this to the staff they rushed our order and gave us some drinks on the house which was very generous of them. We had the strawberry and watermelon cocktails and thought they were gorgeous! We ordered chicken tacos, fish tacos, corn ribs and some tortilla chips and dips. Everything was super fresh and delicious- our favourite dish was most definitely the fish tacos. We found this to be enough food between the two of us. This restaurant has a lovely vibe and we are keen to come back a bit later on to enjoy the music.

We came on a Thursday and had 2 for 1 tacos! Absolutely perfect! Best tacos in Sheffield and team here is so nice, specially Ethan! Thank you guys!
Ada P — Google review
I’d heard a lot of hype about Piña from friends and online reviews, so I went in with high expectations. Service-wise, I can’t fault it; the front of house team were genuinely lovely, attentive, and welcoming. Drinks were also decent, my mocktail with added spiced rum was tasty, though my friend’s frozen strawberry margarita leaned a bit too sweet. Unfortunately, the food was a huge letdown and probably the worst Mexican-style food I’ve had. We tried three different taco varieties and each fell short. The jerk chicken tacos were easily the worst of the bunch. The chicken came in suspiciously uniform cubes, like frozen, machine-prepped meat. It was excessively dry, not just a little but inedibly so. The mango and chilli salsa had no heat at all, and all the tacos themselves were torn in half, not because they were overfilled or moist. When I raised this with the chef, I was met with a grunt and told “there’s cutlery at the bar, speak to them.” Not exactly the attitude you’d hope for. The beef tacos were completely lacking flavour. The meat tasted plain and unseasoned, and the consommé that accompanied it was equally bland, with none of the depth or richness you’d expect. The lamb tacos were the best of a bad bunch, but still underwhelming. The “minted guac” was barely noticeable, adding neither taste nor texture to the dish. Overall, it felt like style over substance. The front of house team tried their best, but the kitchen let the whole experience down. I left feeling very disappointed given the hype. Maybe it was just a bad day, but if so, it was really bad. As they were fairly busy in the drinks front and the chef seemed genuinely disinterested, it was the first time I didn’t say anything at the time - something I hate…. £63 for the two of us, absolutely not worth it and I feel robbed.

Very good tacos! Worth going when it's 2 for 1 as they're fairly expensive otherwise. Beer is also pretty cheap for the area at £4.25 for the house lager

What a spot!!!! Banging cocktails! Beautiful flavours and the food matches! Alp is a legend! Passionate and loves his craft! 10 outta 10 I will be back again! 💪🏽🤟🏽

Went for bottomless wings,Thurs. Hands down the most delicious wings ive had in Sheffield to date. If you like wings, go here! Nice relaxing atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff. No vegan or vegetarian options unfortunately though so some of my friends couldn't come and join in for the wings.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had our wedding celebration at Saw Grinders and honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. Joe and his team were truly incredible — every single member of staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the way they supported not just us but also our children meant the world to us. The food was exceptional — we had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious it was. People were also blown away by how fantastic the venue itself is and how warm and welcoming the whole atmosphere felt. We’re so grateful to Joe and the team for making our wedding day so special. It’s a day we’ll always treasure, and that’s largely down to the kindness, care, and effort they put in. If you’re considering Saw Grinders for any event, we couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I think this is probably my 4th visit here so they must be doing something right. We reserved a table outside for food before meeting up with our friends later in the day. Our waitress (sorry can't remember her name but she was from Ontario) was really friendly and helpful and also made a good Bloody Mary. I had the Buffalo Chicken Burger which was superb with just the right amount of kick to it. We ofcourse will be back again soon

Great atmosphere and service with good food. This restaurant is located in the Kelham Island area, around 10 minutes drive from the city centre. The first thing I noticed was the lovely vibe and atmosphere the restaurant had, the decor added to the evening meal vibe. The staff were very, very friendly and accommodating and the waitress gave us notice when our food would arrive. The waiters and waitresses wore face masks which is very appreciated. The cocktails were pretty good, I quite enjoyed the cocktail I ordered, although I can’t quite remember the name of the drink. The cocktails were £8 each. The food was good, I quite enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger. There are a selection of free toppings to add, I added: Grilled onions, burger sauce and gherkins. The burger costed £8.95. The peri-peri french fries were nice, your typical french fries with seasoning. The fries costed £3.95. Overall, a nice place to have dinner or go on a date with the nice atmosphere, decent food and nice staff. I would probably come back if I was around the area.

If you're on the hunt for a vibrant nightlife experience in Sheffield, look no further than Tiger Works. This trendy bar and nightclub is a favorite among students, offering an electrifying atmosphere with regular club nights that keep the energy high. Open late into the night, especially on weekends, it’s the perfect spot to unwind with friends while enjoying expertly crafted cocktails at fantastic prices. Tiger Works stands out not just for its stylish ambiance but also for its enticing drink specials throughout the week.
Booked here for bottomless cocktails and snacky bits. Honestly best brunch I’ve been too for a while. We really enjoyed the fact that you didn’t have to have a meal and it was things such as sweets and crisps which are up my street. You could pick from a mixer and a shot of alcohol or a cocktail menu. All cocktails were freshly made and our server was welcoming and friendly. She was very good and we paid her a tip for her service. Atmosphere wasn’t booming as it was 4pm on a Saturday but the music was amazing and would have stayed after for drinks if it was a little later. Would highly recommend and will be booking again!!

My favourite place to go for a night out by far,the staff really make a difference too — the bar staff are friendly, and the security always match the vibe and make the nights better. We always feel welcome when we walk in and always have the best nights. The music is always good and the atmosphere is unmatched every time. Drinks are cheap and well priced 100% would recommend Tiger works to anyone looking for a good night out.

By far one of the best nights out in Sheffield. The bar staff are so lovely, as are the door staff they’re so welcoming and kind. Cheap, fair priced drinks especially on a weekend & some really good deals. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good atmosphere in Sheffield 💓💓

In January 2024, the bouncers confiscated my genuine driving licence after wrongly claiming it was fake. I have not received my licence back, and the venue has not provided proof that it was handed to the police as they said they would. It is now October 2025, and despite following up several times, I still don’t have my ID. I will be seeking legal advice and reporting this to the police and Trading Standards. I would strongly advise anyone who has their ID taken to ask for a police reference number immediately — staff have no right to keep genuine ID. If I have to take these to court I will do it as I don’t know what the premises or the staff did with my legal property and that’s ilegal.

Love this place! Cheap drinks, staff are lovely! Never had a bad night here. Bar staff, door staff and management are always here to help if needed. DJs play the best tunes, and always take requests!!! I love it!!

I had a very concerning experience at Tiger Works last night. I believe my drink was spiked, and when I noticed an unusual white powder in it, I immediately took it over to the bar staff to let them know what had happened. Instead of addressing the situation seriously, the bar lady quickly took the drink away—as if to get rid of the evidence—and dismissed my concerns by saying the powder was just remnants from their shot measures. This left me feeling extremely unsafe and unsupported. A venue should prioritize customer safety, but in this case, I felt the opposite. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe night out. The bar lady did not help me in any way, she just wanted to disregard the situation. After googling articles on Tiger works today, I have seen other girls have had similar situations in this bar. I luckily took pictures of my drink as evidence before it got quickly taken away from me.

"The Gardeners Rest" is a community-owned pub located in Kelham Island, Sheffield. The pub offers a laid-back atmosphere with live music and a selection of drinks. Its unique garden space exudes a quaint and quirky vibe, reminiscent of a cool aunt's garden rather than the typical pub setting. Nice local pub in Neepsend area with a good beer garden and conservatory overlooking the river to the rear. Friendly service. Decent selection of hand pulled ales at a reasonable price. Will definitely return again soon.

Been coming to this pub for the past couple if years and have got to know the staff that run it. They are always friendly and helpful and offer advice on their latest ales. This is an excellent place to sit and enjoy a pint either inside or looking over the river on a nice sunny day.

The Gardener's Rest in Sheffield is so buzzing with life, a truly friendly and welcoming place, I loved the decor, the place has a lovely feel, and the views over the river are great. What makes this pub so special is that it's community funded. This means it was bought by a group of its regulars who raised money by selling shares to people in the community. It's owned and run by the people, for the people, which gives it a fantastic atmosphere and ensures it stays as a local hub. I was delighted when I was told about this! It's also completely dog friendly, which is a big plus, and they have a lovely Lilly's cider on tap. During the day there was some fantastic live music, and the crowd was just brilliant. I highly recommend it for a friendly pint!

Found the staff to be quite unpleasant and quite rude which spoilt my visit. If only the saving grace is the garden and its view of the brown stagnant water then so be it. It’s a nice little traditional pub that needs better staff. It’s also card only for whatever reason.

As a regular event coordinator that uses St. Mary's for a social enterprise, they cannot be nicer and more supportive of the sheffield community. Most places wanted to charge us loads and these guys have always charged us what they can afford to, knowing we are not for profit. The food is lovely and reception staff are the nicest in the world! Kuckoo is without a doubt the best bottomless brunch we've ever been to. The staff were fantastic, our server Anna was very attentive, friendly and quick. The music was great, as was the bingo and entertainment. They all worked together as a team to make sure everyone had a good time. The cocktails and shots were also amazing, no watering down or limited choices, you could have anything from the entire menu. We will definitely be going back!!! Thanks Kuckoo, we had a great time.

Excellent after noon bottomless brunch. The staff work very hard continuously, making drinks and occasionally getting up on the bar with their flame throwers. We were greeted and introduced to several staff who looked after us. We sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A special mention to Seb, Clara, Anna, and the magnificent Ricky six, who was the MC and had everyone up and dancing. It's just a brilliant event. Scrumptious pizza, too! The Old Queen's Head is a lovely Tudor building which you would likely not find if you happened to walk past it. It's hidden amongst a sea of bland, ubiquitous lumps of concrete and it offers good range of drinks and a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is generally pleasant - perfect for a quiet drink after work.
Very nice food!!! And very reasonably priced. My mom and me went for a roast dinner the other sunday and My mom has an allergy to Pork and Rosemary. All of this was avoided and we had a lovely meal for the price! £7.99 is a bargain!!! Roast dinners have gone up to £9.95 now. The burger was awesome aswell and the jacket potatoes are good! All the food is nice to be fair On Friday was a great night with some live music. Enjoyable evening. My friends enjoyed it too. 😁 New owners can’t do enough for you, very accommodating and so friendly. Highly recommend 😃

What a gorgeous place the Old Queen's Head in Sheffield is! It's a Grade II listed building and you can tell straight away from that stunning black and white Tudor architecture. The place is so old it's apparently haunted, which just adds to the atmosphere! We spent a lovely afternoon soaking up the sun in the courtyard outside. We were sipping on a delicious kiwi Old Mout cider and just admiring the building's character. There are even gargoyle type carvings outside! The beautiful lady on the bar was so welcoming and friendly too, which always makes a visit even better. We didn't get a chance to eat, but the food others were dining on looked and smelled fantastic. I'd definitely go back to try it for sure!

I had been looking forward to visiting this really old pub for a long time but was disappointed we were going to have lunch but there was no food on. reason being they had a funeral booked in later. so orderd a drink they had no ice considering the weather, so after my drink went to the ladies toilets no toilet paper in my cubicle 😡 then went to wash my hands no soap so not a very good impression .good point staff was very pleasant.
Aileen B — Google review
We used to come here, but whilst the atmosphere and food and drink were good, sometimes when you ordered food it was met with attitudes that made of seem like an unreasonable chore you have asked of them. Sometimes they told us the kitchen was closed, which was disappointing. I get that sometimes there are off days, but it was practically everytime we came in. I'd ask for a sandwich and it was like I was being served by grown up Kevin from Kevin and Perry. "Do I have to? You ruin my life", like I had made an impossible and almost unattainable request of them.

This is my first time here and I am impressed by the friendly and helpful reception staff. The service is excellent. The waitstaff is attentive and always asks questions. The service is friendly and the highlight is the free spin slot games and the bonuses are easy to get and come often. They also pay a lot. I like it.

After I checked in at the reception, I stood aside waiting for my companions. A security guard asked me to move forward. I didn't reply to him but moved two steps forward as he instructed. However, he thought I didn't respect him and slandered me as being rude, forbidding me from entering. I think this is extremely unreasonable and has seriously damaged my impression of Genting. I am a long-term member of Genting and visit almost every day. Such rude behavior has made me very disappointed and angry. At that time, three security guards blocked me and my companions at the same time, which made me very scared. I also think they have a tendency of racial discrimination. Please give me a reasonable explanation and an apology.

I’ve been 3 times and all 3 nights have been incredible. The dealers are super friendly and despite some losses, it was still an overall great experience. Free drinks if on a table is great service and would expect no less from a truly proud casino, similar to casinos in the States. It’s a shame the side bets on blackjack have such a high minimum (£5), but a minimum main hand bet of £5 is very welcoming and you can a good amount of time playing with even low balances. Comfy chairs, nice and clean atmosphere. Free parking in a good, secure car park. Will be coming again.

Corporation, also known as Corp, is a unique and legendary alternative music nightspot in Sheffield. It offers three distinct spaces for club nights and live shows, catering to a wide range of musical tastes including emo, alternative, and heavy metal. The venue features an indie room with diverse music selections, a white room for mainstream chart hits, and a smaller downstairs space that plays various genres. Additionally, Corporation has recently expanded with a warehouse area.
This was a fantastic venue for clubbing, with classic pop tunes playing! The outside area is sound to chill out in, drinks are really cheap at just £1 each. Blue and pink lightding creates the vibe downstairs, upstairs is where it's at with the booming atmosphere and smoke machine!

Came here last night for Zebrahead everything is well sign posted in the building which is great apart from the VIP area but not to worry, professional staff, queuing isn't a long process, the venue itself felt very safe, lots of security for the crazy gigs, theres carpeted walls which is really nice, drinks are obviously very expensive... something I was surprised by was the toilets, the seats are wooden never been anywhere what has wooden toilet seats and doors! Great place for a gig though plenty of space which is amazing considering that it is quite a small venue for a gig, I would go again!

Cocktail bar
MOJO is a vibrant rock 'n' roll-themed cocktail bar that has been a staple of the Leeds and Sheffield nightlife scenes since 1996. It offers an iconic atmosphere with the promise of 'Good Times Forever' and features the greatest guitar music from the past four decades. The bar hosts various events, including cocktail-making classes, bottomless brunches, and beer/prosecco pong, making it an ideal spot for parties or hen/stag dos.
We booked the bottomless brunch and we're not disappointed. Rachel and Billy were fantastic. They were attentive, friendly and made us some excellent cocktails. Keep up the great work! The pizzas were really tasty too. The playlist is great with a mix of rock and pop. I would also recommend playing AR Darts upstairs after!

One of the Best Bottomless Brunches in Sheffield! Had an amazing time at Mojo's for bottomless brunch with friends. At £40, it's great value—similar price to others in the area, but here you get bottomless pizza alongside bottomless drinks, which really sets it apart. The service was top-notch. Our server Rachel was brilliant and even threw in a surprise breakdance! Big shoutout to Billy behind the bar for the incredible cocktails too. Definitely one of the best bottomless brunch experiences I've had—highly recommend it to anyone in Sheffield!

Really good service, food was delicious and quickly served out didn't have to wait long which is what I love 😋 I loved the way the bar was decorated , especially since the theme is heavily based around music. First time, and most definitely not the last 👏❤️

Neepsend Social Club & Canteen is a throwback to the 1970s with its retro decor and affordable prices. The venue offers a variety of comfort food such as burgers, fried chicken, and poutine for £12 or less. Visitors can enjoy games like darts and table football while savoring their drinks. The club also hosts entertaining events like Drag Bingo night with a hilarious drag queen, great beer selection, and tasty fried chicken.
Nice bar virtually in the centre of Kelham Islands bar crawl. Decor like a posh social club - dartboards, bar billiard table (I think). Basically craft keg outlet and food. Nice to chat with some customers and the bar operative in there on my visit a few weeks ago. I'd definitely recommend this bar if you are in the area. Highly recommended nearby - Heist Brewery, Factory Floor, Alder Bar. Please note it is not a social club .... no membership is required !

Came here for some chill work drinks after work on a Wednesday. Was extremely quiet so didn't need the reservation I had made in the end! I would guess that it gets very busy at peak times though given the area that it's in. Everyone really enjoyed their food and drinks, and the outdoor area too which was nice as it was sunny. The staff were also great about my allergies that I mentioned - the chef informed me that he just wasn't sure about the sauce on the burger so would I like to swap it for something else, which I appreciated - I would rather they be honest about any uncertainty! It made me feel really confident about what I was eating. Would definitely recommend coming here!

Had a Roast Dinner this afternoon with my family, who visited from Leicester. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, best Sunday lunch I’ve had in AGES. Would definitely come back and will definitely recommend - also great value for what you’re getting!!!

Great spot for grabbing a pint in Neepsend! The vibe’s laid-back with both indoor and outdoor seating — perfect whether you’re chasing sunshine or hiding from the rain. Staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Bonus points for being open late, which is always a win in this part of town. Plus, they’ve got dart boards if you’re feeling a little competitive after a couple of drinks. Definitely one to keep in the rotation!

Came here for the Sunday roast and it was absolutely fantastic and delicious. You get a lot for your money too (Sunday Roast £13). We thought the price was excellent. I went for the Lamb, tender and full of flavour. Staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. The interior was very cool as well, plus very comfy seats. Already recommending this place to others.
G R — Google review
Great food and service but I would recommend not going if you’re a Sheffield United fan! I went for the SUFC play off final, obviously the bar can’t control who goes in there and this is no criticism on the bar but during the second half of the match there were a group of Sheffield Wednesdays fans by the dart boards who were walking up and down cheering when Sunderland scored and being quite intimidating towards me and other united fans in the bar. Like I said it’s not the bars fault but if you ever want to watch a united match I’d suggest going elsewhere

Excellent food and brilliant staff. Beer decent, but the whole place tries a bit too hard to be retro. Won't be a problem to most, but I have to knock a star off for it.

🍽️🍗🍺@neepsendsocial 🍺🍗🍽️ 📍Unit 2, 92 Burton road, Neepsend (aka Kelham) What a great addition to the area! Theming itself like a social club, you would be forgiven for presuming that food wouldn't be prioritized here, but you would be wrong- wow was it good! Unpretentious British food, cooked extremely well and presented beautifully. This place does the kind of home cooked style comfort food you really want to eat, and does it with a focus on flavour and quality. Prices were also very affordable and fair. It's a really fun chilled place to hang out, with great local craft beers on tap, games like darts and table football (that James won a match of by the skin of this teeth), and a really cool interior reminiscent of a working men's club but with a new modern twist on the theme. Staff were also super friendly and helpful -and there was Aircon! Food we tried - 🥚🥔 Cheese and leek rissole with a hendos egg, crunchy and cheese and the hendos egg went perfectly. 🫒🧀 Green veg with fetta on toast, fresh and delicious 👌 🍗🍟Chicken in a basket with chips gravy and slaw - I'm gonna say it - the best fried chicken I've ever had 😱 really juicy and crunchy with a sticky drizzle. The peppery gravy just made it too 10/10 meal. 🍖🌿Pork chop with bubble & squeak and cider gravy - super juicy tasty pork ! Caper herb salad made it spot on too. Another top notch plate of food. 🍧 Knickerbocker glory - one of the best puds I've ever had ! Yummy red berry compot, cream and custard and crunchy nut brittle and biscuit bits. Absolute heaven. Might have to get one just for me next time 😂 On another note we are so happy these guys went with the honest Neepsend name 💪 -Instead of all this extended Kelham washing. 😂 If you know you know 😂 Already planning my next work do here, and we will definitely be back on the regular. Make sure you get down before they are bursting at the seams with customers and you can't get a table anymore. Thanks so much for having us @neepsendsocial ! It really was excellent. If you're on the hunt for an electrifying night out in Sheffield, look no further than Tank. This stylish lounge and dance club is a haven for house, bass, and techno enthusiasts. While entry fees may be slightly higher than other venues, the experience is well worth it thanks to its incredible sound system that delivers authentic dubstep vibes.

Told the bouncer I got punched twice by the same guy. Bouncer told me to leave the club. I promise this bus the worst run club in Sheffield. Steer clear there are so many better clubs out there. If you wanna get punched round the jaw, this is the place for you!!!!
George — Google review
Came for an event and quite impressed with the sound system and visuals. However, we had to queue for about an hour, despite paying for tickets as they only had one ID checker. Also there is a £10 minimum bar spend and the drinks are quite pricey for up north but to be expected for a rated club I guess. Also no tap water, only bottled which they want cash for.
Robert D — Google review
Changed time of event last minute left us stood in weather until half 9 when the event was meant to start entry at 8, they charge 3.50 for water and don’t let you leave to buy your own Which is just dangerous when 90% of the people there are off their face, they had majority of the main names on early so by 1 am we were that bored of it we left and even if it wasn’t boring you couldn’t cope rest of night with how little ventilation it has, all in all artists was class, staff were rude, and owner knows less about event organising than all garried out 16yr olds they let run riot round there, wouldn’t recommend in the slightest it isn’t a safe venue
Bailey R — Google review
I travelled a far way for the Cru2 event being held in this venue and i strongly regret it. We turned up and straight away the security was very rude accusing us of lying about “showing our tickets” even though the girls scanning the tickets let us straight through without mentioning anything about it. After then accusing us of lying and making us feel very uncomfortable they was very aggressive towards other people in the club. After being made to feel this way we proceeded to leave after a very uncomfortable 15 minutes.
Summer J — Google review
It was my first time at tank night club and most definitely my last, my whole experience was about 15 mins which in comparison to our 3.5hour trip isn’t worth it and it all started when entering, the ticket girls who were occupied with talking to someone didn’t make it clear that they were actually ticket girls, so we missed the ticket scan following that I was then met by a bouncer who clearly forgot that he was indeed a bouncer at a night club and Not an SAS soldier who then proceeded to interrogate me as to why I haven’t scanned my ticket and called me a liar. Once that was sorted we then cautiously headed in realising very quickly that this sweat box could have been used as a torture chamber we made a swift exit before any long term damage to our immune systems occurred. Stay away at all costs.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Sheffield, The Furnace is a captivating venue that beautifully marries the city's rich industrial heritage with contemporary design. Since its inception in 2021, this lively bar has become a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike, offering an eclectic mix of live music, late-night revelry, and a menu brimming with imaginative yet affordable dishes crafted from local ingredients.
Before I visited the cementation furnace, my life was a mess. I was homeless, destitute, and being chased by the polish mafia for unspeakable crimes. In my time of need, I found myself wandering the streets of Sheffield on the run from the polish mafia and stumbled upon the cementation furnace. I collapsed and saw a solid white light fill my view and a godly reverberating voice boomed to me: "Lost child, this is the only remaining example of a cementation furnace in the country. Come here, and be reborn". I then awoke, and I saw that my bank account had been filled to the brim and I had lines of attractive women following me everywhere swooning at my every move. This monument is life changing, I cannot recommend visiting this place enough.

In Sydney, ARIA Bar offers stunning views of iconic landmarks like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
I’ve been to Aria bar on launch evening ! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff is really nice and professional. Cocktails are amazing (especially if you’re a Campari lover 😍). We’ve tried the slow cooked lamb and the beef sirloin and they were very tasty 🤤 The sweet whipped cream dessert was so good !! Will definitely come back !

I assume they've given up on the concept as we went on a Saturday night and Aria bar wasn't open and there wasn't table service. we didn't mind but we were led to our table and left and they didn't tell us our table number or bring us cutlery so we had to go find both. it is nicer seating than just kommune seating so they get a star for that. and the traders had to call us to work out where we were as they didn't know the table number. overall just book into kommune at least you will have cutlery on your table

We had breakfast at this lovely place recently. This was the best french toast I have had in a very long time. The staff were lovely and attentive and the service was fast but not too fast to feel rushed. Parking is a bit of an issue, but this is not anything the establishment can do anything about as it is public parking on the precinct. Feedback on Recent Visit – Decline in Service and Food Quality I've always had positive experiences at The Courtyard, but unfortunately, my last two visits — including Friday, 28th August — have been disappointing in terms of service and food quality. On my recent visit, I ordered the homemade chips and a steak sandwich. While the chips were good, the steak was cold. I raised this immediately with the waitress, who said she would speak to the chef, but she did not return until I approached her again. Her explanation was that the food had been left on the side while drinks were being served. She simply said “sorry about that” and walked away, showing little concern or interest in resolving the issue. Overall, I felt the staff were inattentive and unprofessional. They didn't appear to be enough staff on duty to handle the number of guests, both indoors and outside, so the slow service and lack of attentiveness were especially disappointing. I did not feel welcomed, and based on this experience, I’ll be looking to dine elsewhere in the future. A very disapointed existing customer. Paul
Paul B — Google review
Food was nice, when it eventually arrived, though elements of the meal were muddled up (salad on one plate that ought to have been fries and visa versa). We were waiting over an hour for two toasties and a bagel, with no indication it would take so long. But most offputting, when we arrived there was no soap in the men's toilet. I told a staff member this, and as I was leaving (at least 1.5hrs later) and visited the restroom again, there was still no soap in there... Hopefully hygiene practices in the kitchen are better than they are in the restaurant :-/.

So disappointed - day 3 of the Spring Ale Festival and not a guest ale to be had - just the usual suspects plus the Purple Moose guest which is not a festival ale. Got to ask why they spent all that time advertising the event unless the regulars have drunk the house dry in 2 days?
Mark N — Google review
Would say this is the first Wetherspoons I've visited that felt like a pub and not somewhere to eat. There are tables dotted here and there and a small back room that is laid out for eating, but it's not very appealing and needs some serious decorating TLC. If your looking for a cheap pint then this is your place but if like myself you enjoy the food too then I'd pick a nicer environment to eat in.Having said all that the food we got was a good standard and cheap.

The food was absolutely delicious and tasty, the drinks were refreshing with a great selection of alcoholic drinks. Kids are allowed in until 7pm but ours were still eating ice cream by 7pm and nothing was said- we felt very welcome throughout. Kids ate for free when we went which was a nice bonus- I got a taste of the Deep South and my wife got the curry- both were really nice. There wasn’t any coleslaw however the server explained they’d given us extra garlic bread which was nice. A nice little eatery with quality drinks and fab service. Dogs are very welcome- in fact there was a sign saying Three Dogs Shoes! :)

Update. Terrible service last night. Waited mns to get served and walked out in the end. Stood behind customer being served and once they were served the barmaid walked off and disappeared for 10 mns and then went to serve at another part of the bar. In addition the other two bar staff clocked us and continued to ignore us. It wasn't especially busy Visited Sunday morning around 11 Good value breakfast. Some items had clearly been warmed up or cooked twice

Excellent local pub with friendly service and traditional atmosphere serving food and a wide range of drinks. Has a large beer garden and dog friendly with canine friends welcome in the tap side. Could on occasions do with another member of bar staff on duty, but situations are fluid and difficult to predict. For the real ale drinkers and CAMRA members, the beers are well looked after and have a frequent rotation with guest ales, 8 in total at present. Also they offer discount with a valid membership and presentation of your card. Overall, visit the Three Hoseshoes, a good, friendly local pub!

We called in on Saturday afternoon for a drink before our meal, what a lovely welcome! Good selection of drinks, I went for a London Pride and was given the option of a glass or tankard.... lovely friendly barman. There was a good area to watch the footy, I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat here or see anyone eating but it was friendly enough that we went back in for a couple of drinks after we'd had our food at Olive Lounge. Whilst this might not be popular with the young generation it’s a great pub with a good atmosphere. Worth booking a table on a weekend if you’re meeting friends as it can get really busy especially around the Christmas holiday period. Good range of drinks at reasonable prices for Wickersley. There’s a good sized beer garden with plenty of tables. There’s are some parking spaces at the side of the pub and the surrounding roads but it’s always very busy at the weekend.

We came in on Saturday, the food was amazing, we were pleased as have been before and the food was very disappointing. However, the bar staff were very rude. All stood about talking, ignoring customers. Apparently this is the usual behaviour for them. All really talking badly about one of the cooks. And these were managers. Not professional at all. Dirty plates and glasses everywhere. Yet plenty of staff on if they were to work instead of just socia. I don't think any of us will be back again.

The Stags Head is a family-friendly traditional pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Located in an old building dating back to 1634, it offers a range of cask ales and pub food, including hearty classics and handmade burgers. The cozy interior extends to outdoor areas such as a beer garden and children's playground, making it suitable for all ages.
1st visit to this establishment as it was close to The Lantern Theatre and was perfect to sample both food and drinks before the performance that night. On entry, you felt a warmth about the place, and I was welcomed by the gentleman serving behind the bar. I had already viewed the wide selection of Thornbridge Brewery Beers available before making my choice... a lovely pale ale called 'Brother Rabbit'. Whilst the beer was being poured, I asked if food was still available at 3.15pm and was politely informed that I could order anything off the menu. I didn't want anything too substantial, so I chose the Ham & Cheese Toasted Sandwich with brown bread (white bread available, too) and a side portion of chunky chips. I was asked where I would like to sit, so as it was a sunny afternoon, I picked the conservatory at the side to sit and enjoy my pint and food when it was served. Having picked a table that would accommodate two people so as not to take up other bigger tables for more customers, I enjoyed the view outside were there was a children's play area along with other tables to accommodate customers who preferred the outdoor weather. I also noticed a food preparation area where a member of staff was throwing and preparing fresh pizza dough as well as turning pizzas in an oven next to him. After about 20 minutes had passed, my food order was delivered, and boy did it look delicious 😋 Two big slices of thickly toasted brown bread with melted cheese and slices of ham with a lovely pile of thick cut chips next to it. Delicious would be an understatement, and it was certainly substantial as well. I paid £10 for the toasted sandwich and chips and £4.50 for the pint of beer, which was tremendous value. The staff were first class with their friendly, polite, prompt, and attentive service throughout my visit. I can totally recommend The Stags Head as both a pub for real ale drinkers as well as those wishing to enjoy delicious food at tremendous value... You can bring your children too with a brilliant play area outside as well, so perfect for families as well. A 5 Star Pub...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and I would happily return...👍

Well cared for and excellent beer. The sine qua non for a good pub. Customers seem overly fond of queuing in line for the bar, for some reason which is deeply irritating. Signs may be required to prevent this kind of behaviour.

After moving our son into halls, we were exhausted, hungry and facing a four-hour drive home. The weather was dreadful—torrential rain made visibility poor, and we didn’t know the area well. We searched for somewhere to eat and found The Stags Head. We arrived at 8:55 PM, soaked and tired, and asked at the bar if they were still serving food. The lovely barman advised they close the kitchen at 9pm and said he would check with the kitchen when he saw my younger two looking disappointed. He returned with a big smile—chef was happy to stay open. We were so grateful, and even more thrilled when the food arrived. It was absolutely amazing! Juicy, delicious burgers, crispy chips, and my eldest—who wasn’t even that hungry—devoured the fish and chips. The younger two had kids’ pasta and chicken strips, and the portions were impressively generous. We were especially happy to enjoy a hearty meal before leaving our son to the student life of canned beans and instant noodles. The pub had a great atmosphere, full of students and locals, with a group playing darts. Staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming. We’ll definitely be returning when we visit our son again. Thank you so much for accommodating us—it made all the difference!

Great old pub, a bit out of the way, but all the better for that! It's an oldish pub, but well looked after and very comfortable, the beer was good as was the service. I had a cheese sandwich which was served with the usual bit of lettuce as 'garnish', nice crusty bread, cheddar cheese and pickle.

We just queued for 45 minutes for 3 drinks, this would take 5 minutes if you ran as a proper pub there’s 4 people on the bar and you have a single file queue going all the way onto the street..absolutely mental, please stop this!!! Until they sort this out don’t bother, go to the Lescar!

Unfortunately this pub is dirty and in desperate need of a deep clean and renovations to meet its potential. Of the 4 meals we ordered, the garlic chicken and stag burgers which just about acceptable but the fish and chips was pretty unpalatable. The batter was over cooked, the white fish was grey. We were hungry so picked at it for the best bits and the remainder our dog ate. Hopefully the owners will see the desperate need to renovate both the interior and exterior of the pub and do something about the quality of the food. Wouldn't recommend until changes made.

Best flat bread ever! We loved the food. The staff was kind and accommodating. The pub itself is such a gem as well - it is big enough, but cosy at the same time with all the nooks and crannies. 😁 Great atmosphere.

Bar
If you're looking for a cozy spot to unwind, Murray's is the place to be! Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by Cara, who guided us to our table in this inviting bar. After discovering it through social media, we couldn't wait to try their renowned dishes. The salmon was absolutely delightful, and we savored every bite of the Eton mess and crumble with custard. The cocktails here are equally impressive—strong yet deliciously crafted—and come at a fantastic price point.
Wow, Wow, Wow....5 Stars, from us.....My partner and I attended MURRAYS, on the 8th of July 2024, for a Sunday Lunch. The food was exceptional, we both had the ''2 Meats'' selection, my partner had Turkey & Beef, I had Turkey & Lamb. There was plenty on our plates and both of us didn't have room for desserts,(which was a shame, because they too looked delicious). Fantastic service, from the very welcoming staff in a great atmosphere, (We were upstairs, in the restaurant/function room), Plenty of room and a little background music made for a very pleasant stay . We will definitely be coming back soon. Thank You ''Murrays'', see you soon, Sarah & Mike (Quakers Yard)

Not been to Bargoed for a while. Murray’s was a pleasant surprise, decor was very modern and clean. The food was very good and a great atmosphere, we will probably go to Bargoed rather than Blackwood from now on.

Fantastic evening and stay over at Murrays ! Rooms were beautiful, staff were lovely too . Also we had a fabulous singer for the evening who was Lisa Marie singing as Adele. Will definitely come back again soon

Lamb Madras, served with authentic popadom, pickled veg and mango chutney. Absolutely lovely meal, so fresh, lamb was succulent and tender. Smart dining area, great service.

Table for 2. We were greeted by Cara as we went into the bar, Cara showed us to our table. This bar is so warm and friendly. We booked a table here after seeing it advertised on social media. I must say, it did not disappoint. We both had the salmon, which was gorgeous, then we had the Eton mess and crumble with custard, again all lovely. Caravan served us and also recommended my dessert (the crumble). Over-all a lovely experience and cannot wait yo return. 5/5

Delicious food and cocktails on tap; quite strong and tasty too. Priced very well and the cocktails were definitely worth the 2 for £12 cost. Lovely bar and nice seating and table spacing, far enough to not get intermingled in other guests conversations, making the atmosphere of the place very chill. Easy location to find and plenty of parking nearby

Go often with the girls from work for a meal and a few glasses of wine. Love the pub and it's people and always have the best night's there
Gemma P — Google review
We booked a six night stay at Murray's, only to be told by the bar staff that there is NO guest parking!!! It clearly states on Booking.com that there's parking available for guests. We were told that there 'maybe' parking after 2/3am - once the staff have left! The bar staff directed us to a public pay car park opposite the hotel. My god, it's rougher than a badger's backside. Shared with a very dodgy looking snooker club. Bargoed itself is a DUMP! Most of the shops are closed/boarded up. If you want to stay somewhere decent - don't go to Murray's.

We’re visiting family from Australia and were craving a comforting pub meal — The Hay Nook did not disappoint! We came on a Wednesday evening, so I can’t comment on the weekend atmosphere, but the food and service were both excellent. We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu and made a few special requests, which the staff were more than happy to accommodate. Everything was tasty, well-prepared, and felt like a true taste of home-style British cooking. The drinks were also great and offered good value. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely return next time we’re in the UK.

We have just had a family Christmas party at the haynook and I could not be more happy! From booking to finishing the party, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful and the whole day was amazing thanks to the staff! We had such a good time we have decided to make our annual family Christmas do! Thank you so so much and we'll see you soon ❤️

Held my daughter’s birthday at the haynook on Saturday night, Amazing food everyone commented how lovely it was. Great DJ with help from staff to set up also. Quick bar service. Amazing night all round. Thank you from us all x

On Friday night we came for a meal as we were told a few days before that food would be served as usual- we came in & ordered a drink & looked at the menu- I went to order at the bar only to be told that the menu was off & only Pizza was being served- due to the hot weather?? What ?? It makes no sense as a table next to us we’re being served food from the menu! It’s an absolute joke- you do not deserve our custom- have you got enough staff to cope- I think not - we live on the estate but we won’t be coming again

Visited today as a party of two and enjoyed main course meals and drinks. Plenty of choice on the menu, staff friendly and service quick. Nice atmosphere with a singer to entertain us after our meals.

We had our little boy’s second birthday party at the Haynook on 31.05.2025. Jo was great in helping decorate the room and in getting everything set up. The buffet was delicious; we received lots of comments from guests about this. Jo was very accommodating and was able to provide additional food on the day as everyone enjoyed it so much! Our little boy had the best afternoon and enjoyed being able to run around and play with his friends; we were able to relax as parents knowing the children were safe and couldn’t get out of the room. We would definitely recommend using the Haynook to help celebrate a special occasion!

Pub
"The Cavalier" is a charming local pub known for its excellent Sunday lunch and inviting atmosphere. Visitors praise the friendly staff, cleanliness, and welcoming environment. It's a great place to enjoy a pint of John Smiths and savor the local hospitality.
Best pub around! Luckily we’re local so get to enjoy The Cavalier regularly. They serve pizzas Thursday - Saturday and cannot recommend them enough! Better than most pizzerias! Drinks are very reasonably priced and a great selection of draft. If you find yourself looking for a pub that gets everything right look no further!

Came to this establishment with a friend who struggles with a speech impediment. Despite being one of the most sober of the group, in the lady behind the bar decided to cut my friend off after feeling she had “had enough”. She had two drinks the whole night. My friend tries to explain her speech impediment, but the lady did not believe her when she explained it was a disability. My friend then asked to see the manager to discuss it further. The manager was also unfortunately not very understanding either. Feeling frustrated and insecure about how her speech was being percieved, my friend asks her partner to take over talking to the manager while we go outside and finish our drinks before we can leave. The next morning my friend leaves a very well deserved bad review on Facebook. The manager then decided to take it upon herself to reply to said review that it was clear to her that my friend had definitely had enough to drink and that “based on how she spoke to the members of staff she would be served no longer”. She was not rude or aggressive towards members or staff at all, she simply felt frustrated and upset that they didn’t take her seriously when she tried to explain her speech impediment and we left soon after. She is allowed to show agitation and annoyance at discrimination towards a disability she cannot control, the fact the manager would even reply to make comments about “how she was speaking” further is absolutely shocking. If your staff expects to be treated with kindness and respect, they really should be practicing that within their customer service themselves. “Warm and friendly pub”. Get real!
Alicia M — Google review
Staff display a lack of understanding towards speech impediments. I visited with a friend who struggles with this and was turned away from the bar after one drink apparently due to her speech which she cannot physically help/alter when she was in fact one of the most sober in the group. Very disappointed and disrespectful behavior and staff should consider this moving forward when serving

Went for breakfast this morning. Long wait and my wife had the breakfast hash which was basically a bowl full of undercooked greasy new potatoes and my full breakfast had over cooked fried eggs and the sausages seemed to be deep fried. Would have complained to the waitress but she had vanished. Didn’t come over to check and was nowhere to be seen when we left. The place has been decorated lovely and looks great. Hash browns and bacon were spot on

The Earl Grey Rawmarsh is more than just a place to eat and drink; it's a space for reconnecting over classic cocktails, innovative creations, and iconic Afternoon Tea. The impeccable service ensures that every experience is memorable. With a good selection of food at well-priced offers, friendly bar staff, and great banter during karaoke nights, this pub has quickly become a hotspot in Rawmarsh.
Update on the Earl Grey (5/6/24.) They reopened on the 3rd and have done nothing but smash it out of the park so far. I hope to see this continue as the plans will make this the hotspot of Rawmarsh.
