Distillery
PARK Distillery Restaurant + Bar is a trendy spot in Alberta, offering small-batch spirits and gourmet comfort food in a rustic setting. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu of rotisserie and wood-fired grilled meats, along with unique dishes like cheese and whisky fondue and cornflake pulled pork fingers with maple whisky and bacon dipping sauce. Their cocktails are top-notch, reflecting their expertise in crafting spirits. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a free distillery tour to enhance their experience.
This was honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Canada, and without a doubt it served the best bison burger I have ever had. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful, with that unique richness you only get from bison meat. It was truly outstanding and absolutely worth the visit on its own. The restaurant also has its own line of alcoholic drinks, including gin and vodka, which I found really impressive. The gin had a pleasant bitterness balanced with fruity notes, which made it refreshing and unique. Along with that, we enjoyed a well-prepared salad, tasty beer, and a memorable pepper soup made with their vodka that stood out as something special. The atmosphere of the restaurant is another highlight. It has a vibrant yet comfortable vibe that makes the experience even more enjoyable. We were seated on the patio, which had a lively and welcoming energy. Unfortunately, the inside was full and we couldn’t get a table indoors because the restaurant was very busy. My recommendation: if you plan to visit, make sure you reserve in advance. It’s absolutely worth it. For me, this place was a top dining experience and I would call it one of the very best restaurants I’ve tried in Canada.

Make a reservation if you have a group bigger than 5. We had 8. Food was delicious. Reasonably priced for Banff. It was busy. A bit squishy to get around, as you are pretty close to the other tables. Sauces were fresh. Service a little slow as it was so busy! Loud, but it adds character to the atmosphere of the distillery. Bathrooms could be a tad cleaner. Overall, I enjoyed it immensely. This was my last time traveling to Banff. It is so overcrowded. No parking available. I like little stress as possible, and the town was insane. Too busy for me and the family.

Came here twice during our visit to Banff, we came back the second time not only because it was a neat environment however the staff was very friendly! It was truly a good experience and consistent both times! Came here the first night for drinks and the bartenders were very personable and friendly! The drinks were good too, so all around we had an excellent experience. Then on Sunday we got engaged and came here for dinner after our lake tours and had another good experience! The food was excellent, yet again the drinks were good and the environment great! They distill and make spirits here and it’s just a cool spot! We throughly enjoyed this place and the bartender gave us a celebratory shot after hearing of our engagement! We will be back during our next visit and know it’ll be the same!!! Thank you
T T — Google review
Food was good. The bbq sauce is amazing. Had the gnocci and was good but not enough. Also had the rotisserie chicken and the gravy was cold. Drinks were half price in happy hour and good. Live entertainment also really nice
Christa L — Google review
Amazing vibes! Such a cool place to go for a quick sit down with appys and omg you have to try the hard root beer 10/10 new favourite cocktail! The hot spinach dip was so creamy and yummy and our waitress J.A. Was amazing. She remembered us and made sure we felt right at home! Thank you for the amazing experience. Your establishment is amazing and such a cool place to visit!!

Food so good we went twice while on vacation! This is a great lowkey spot with excellent house made spirits. Lunch special was totally worth it and the cornbread appetizer is really as good as everyone says. Great atmosphere, location and service!
Michelle H — Google review
My girlfriend and I stopped at park for lunch with the dogs. We were seated out in the patio right away. Our waiter Sam was fantastic. We split the meat platter and there was nothing left really good. The observation peak cocktail which I had was fantastic very Smokey and smooth! Definitely a great spot to sit relax with a drink and people watch
Christopher K — Google review
My group the spicy rigatoni, salmon, chicken and the truffle fries. Everything was delicious! I also had a good Mexican draft beer and Moscow mule cocktail. The cocktail seemed light on alcohol however. We sat outside with a nice view of the street and mountains.

The Bison Restaurant in Banff offers a unique dining experience with its focus on seasonal Canadian cuisine prepared in an open kitchen. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced meat and produce, including bison, venison, and duck. Executive chef Brendan Robson showcases his culinary expertise by creating contemporary classics such as bison short ribs, venison striploin, and bison breakfast sandwich.
This was one of those very special dining experiences that we'll talk about for quite some time. The food was absolutely extraordinary. Our server was really wonderful and took great care of us. The atmosphere was great. We tried many of the different foods and then shared dessert and it was absolutely perfect I had the braised bison short rib and keep remembering how good it taste it. I had the cucumber salad but forgot to take a picture of it, it was really really wonderful. Six out of five stars would highly recommend

We have dined here several times over the years and am so happy to have made it back as they have not missed a step at any point and remain our favorite place for fine dining here n town. Simply yum. A thoughtful menu that changes over time for new surprises to discover, with a solid wine menu to pair as u prefer. I love the authentic Caesar and the duck was absolutely divine w the added twist of the confit and that savory yet oh so light broth. Service was top notch once again. Reservations recommended for sure. Enjoy, explore, enjoy some more.
RenegadegeeK — Google review
This was our second trip to The Bison and it was just as phenomenal as our first experience two years ago! We absolutely loved the bison short rib and duck during our first visit but wanted to try something new this time. We thoroughly enjoyed the Caesar salad, steak frites and crispy fried chicken!! The flavors along with the textures and contrast was on point! We loved our server, Maria! Thanks for taking such good care of us! Lastly, all of the drinks we have tried (cocktails and wine) have been fantastic too. We will be sure to come back for round 3 the next time we visit Banff!
Kristen E — Google review
We managed a last minute reservation for a party of three. We'd been hiking (scruffy but not smelly or covered in mud) and the dining room was upscale but relaxed so we didn't feel out of place. We ordered the Bison Tartar, Venison Steak, Duck, and Spare Ribs... Maybe one of the best meals of my life! I especially loved the venison and I usually hate it. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone interested and will definitely be going back
Tiffany B — Google review
The Bison Restaurant in Banff absolutely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the warm rustic atmosphere and mountain views set the perfect tone for dinner. The service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We tried the bison tomahawk, and it was phenomenal — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of rich, smoky flavor. Every dish was beautifully presented and made with fresh, local ingredients. A truly memorable dining experience in Banff — highly recommended for anyone looking for top-quality Canadian cuisine in a cozy yet elegant setting!
Raymond L — Google review
I love the presentation of our dinner, however, I found the appetizer is quite unbalance. It is overly seasoned that masked the flavor of the main ingredients. We requested outdoor seating because we had our dog with us. Sadly, it is extremely cold- no heater or whatsoever, which is strange! So i would suggest against it. The food is good but not exceptionally good, hence, 4 stars since I think it is overpriced.
Fiona M — Google review
Dined here several times now and consistently delicious. Good cocktails and friendly service. Second floor covered patio is a nice feature in the summer.
Tom B — Google review
The Bison was, far and away, the best meal we had in the Banff area. Every dish we ordered was superb, but the bison tartare was for sure the standout. The grapefruit cocktail also was one of the better cocktails we've had in a really long time. The tomato tarts were perfect, and so was the burrata. The staff were super friendly and charming, and made the whole experience wonderful. Couldn't recommend enough!

Fondue restaurant
Nestled in a lodge-like setting on Banff Avenue, The Grizzly House has been a go-to gourmet restaurant since 1967. It's renowned for its fondue menu, featuring both traditional and nontraditional meats like alligator, rattlesnake, and shark. This landmark eatery is a favorite among diners seeking an indulgent and romantic dining experience. You can opt for a la carte selections or indulge in a four-course meal that includes various styles of fondue.
Dave was our server and he was an absolute hoot! Super sweet and just so friendly and hilarious. You can tell he loves his job! The food- wow, what a fun way to eat. We cooked everything on the hot plate and it’s just nice to be able to make your food the way you like it! The garlic butter we kept slathering on just makes it over the top good, of course! We did the complete set, the starter soup was DAMN good (chicken tortellini soup) and I had the beef and lobster and my boyfriend went with the Alberta special (?), it came with beef, bison, elk, & venison. Really great one to try it all! We ended the meal with a lovely chocolate fondue made of Belgium chocolate. So indulgent and a 10/10 experience. It was both of our favorite meal of the trip!
Cynthia S — Google review
4 course fondue was both tasty good value! Large place, low lighting, cool decor inside and cooking your own meat on the stone was a fun experience kind of dinner. Great service and got in on a walk-in at 7pm on a Sunday.
Bethany W — Google review
This was our most anticipated (and most expensive) meal during our trip to Banff, and it didn’t disappoint! We came for their four-course dinner, which includes a starter (soup or salad), cheese fondue, a main course with different meats, and a chocolate fondue for dessert. We were off to a good start with the soup and salad, both were really good. Next was our first time trying cheese fondue and it was such a fun experience. The bread portion was super generous and the cheese was rich and tasty For the mains, we got the Original Fondue Dinner that contained beef and chicken and the Exotic Fondue Dinner, which came with some very unique meats. It was a cool chance to try things we’ve never had before. Our favourite of the night was actually the alligator, which tasted like a mix between chicken and fish. There’s also a handful of sauces to choose from that will cater to lots of different palates. We finished off with the chocolate fondue, and of course you can’t go wrong with chocolate and fruit. Overall, we had a great time here. It’s definitely pricey, but worth it if you want to try something different while in Banff. The restaurant was pretty dark (we had to use our flashlight to read the menu), but our server was super friendly and made the whole experience great. Our dinner lasted almost two hours but was enjoyable all the way through. I highly recommend booking a reservation as we heard from the works they were booked out for the entire night.
Andy L — Google review
We were in between tour stops and ran into this gem. They just opened and the server was very accommodating! I had the seafood stone grill (unofficial name on menu lol) and bison meatball I think and both were so delish I could not believe we were served quick we didn’t miss our bus and our tummies were happy! Missed trying their fondue but everything was fantastic. We sat inside but their outdoor seating have heaters I believe!
MC S — Google review
I’ve walked past Grizzly House so many times while visiting Banff, and I’m really glad we finally decided to check it out! We went on a Saturday evening, and luckily we had a reservation, this place gets busy, and I can see why. The vibe is super quirky and fun. The whole restaurant kind of feels like a time capsule, with cool decor and music that totally adds to the experience. It’s not your typical dinner spot, and that’s what makes it special. We went for the fondue experience and got to try some really interesting meats we’d never had before, definitely a culinary adventure. Cooking everything right at the table made the meal feel interactive and memorable. The staff were awesome too—friendly, helpful, and super patient with all our questions. And I have to mention the chocolate fondue at the end… seriously, it was next-level delicious. If you're in Banff and want something different (and fun!), I’d absolutely recommend giving Grizzly House a try. It’s a great mix of tasty food, unique atmosphere, and genuinely great service. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
Laura N — Google review
It is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. My friends wanted to try this restaurant, and I am glad they did. I was introduced to swiss style stone grilling with Canadian meats; Elk, Bison, and Alberta beef. The swiss cheese fondue with wine was too strong for my taste. The dessert Belgian chocolate fondue was the best I ever had! The whole meal experience last 2 hours and a half. I really want to thank the server for changing our seats to better ones after the first request so the experience wasn't ruined.
Tina — Google review
Five stars for food and atmosphere- however, 4 stars for the service due to the unpleasant gentleman who took the reservation over the phone. He was very short with me and not very polite. The service once we arrived at the restaurant was fantastic. Our waiter checked in with us about drinks after each course was served and made sure we had enough bread, garlic butter and a hot enough rock for our food. Great pacing between courses as well. Enough time to let the food settle before eating more. The food was awesome! The chicken tortellini soup was a stand out for us. Beautifully spiced with large chunks of chicken. The cheese fondue was a little heavy on the wine to start, however, after it boiled down a bit the flavour became less strong which we enjoyed. And yes, the bread was dry by itself but it is meant to be dipped in the cheese, and once you do that, it becomes perfect. We loved the hot rock! We all went for beef and seafood options which were amazing with the assortment of dipping sauces they provide. Our server even put the little cup of garlic butter on the hot rock so it could melt and we could dip our seafood in it. The chocolate fondue was a hit as well. Great assortment of fruits and wafers to dip. We got the mango margaritas, Long Island iced teas, and Cesar’s. Reasonably priced for the strength of the drinks. We will be coming back next time we are in town.
Adrian S — Google review
This is an iconic Banff hotspot for a reason- their 4 course fondue dinner is delicious, filling, reasonably priced and a whole experience in itself! I am docking 1 star because you WILL reek of oil/meat afterwards because it seeps into your hair and whatever you’re wearing. Also the phones don’t work anymore which is half the fun of the place 👎

Nestled just a short distance from the lively downtown area of Banff, The Juniper Bistro is located within The Juniper Hotel and offers a unique dining experience. Embracing the Indigenous heritage of the land it occupies, the bistro features an annual gathering of Indigenous elders and showcases a contemporary art collection by First Nation, Metis, and Inuit artists.
Fantastic place. We came here on our way out of Banff very early one morning (me wife and baby), the place was fairly quiet, but the treatment we got was so amazing I am compelled to write a review! Clarence every time he came by would interact with our 6-month old keeping her entertained, and she was thrilled! Made our experience incredible. Then the food and setting of course is awesome on its own. But this is the lasting memory of this place for us was the incredible staff particularly Clarence and our server Theo who was also very helpful. Highly recommend the Benny options and the bison sausage!
Eric O — Google review
We loved the view, they gave us blanket to stay outside even with the cold. The service was perfect, caring and thoughtful people. We had the eggs and bison, it was good but small portion. And we had the chanterelle crepe with sour cream and added the smoked salmon, smoke salmon was delicious but the garlic in the crepe was overpowering for us. We learned afterwards that the chef is Mexican so I would recommend to take the Mexican inspired food. But we LOVED our experience and highly recommend!
Sô E — Google review
Our dinner at the bistro was delicious and the restaurant offers a vegan options. Our host Leo and Sid were gracious and very accommodating. We preferred their dinner menu over breakfast since it has more variety. Our breakfast was a bad experience due to cooking errors. Overall, I would come back for the beautiful view and the atmosphere in the evening.

If you’re looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Banff, I highly recommend Juniper Bistro—especially for their Burrito! It’s packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients and perfectly balanced spices that make every bite memorable. The portion is generous, and the presentation is beautiful, reflecting the care and creativity of the kitchen. Whether you’re fueling up for a hike or just enjoying a relaxing brunch, this Burrito is a must-try. Plus, the cozy atmosphere and scenic views from Juniper Bistro make the whole experience even more enjoyable. A fantastic choice for great food with a view!

We stayed at the Juniper Hotel and ate here for both brunch and dinner. Our service at both meals was fantastic- Elmer and Ankar were kind, helpful, and friendly. The food itself was lovely, and we enjoyed brunch so much that we decided to make back for dinner. The menu was thoughtfully crafted & you can’t beat the views overlooking the mountains while you’re eating. We loved our time here!
Samantha M — Google review
We came here to have our dinner together celebrate my wife's birthday and the ambient, staff and food was top notch! We ordered the truffle mash potatoes, Bison 3 ways (cured, steak, and sausage), pistachio cake, and sorbet (free for the birthday girl). We really liked the food and our server. If you haven't tried Bison before, try it! It has a meatier taste and apparently healthier than beef!
Christian L — Google review
The views are lovely, the food is great, and the restaurant is ok :). This was one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere, ever. I would make a point to go back for the elk sausage and crafty ceasars. Definitely one of the top two spots in Banff for an incredible breakfast.

Wow! Go here for the views and enjoy the nearly Michelin level of food and service. The laid back atmosphere made it even better! It was our tenth anniversary and Bisheen (sp?) gave extraordinary service. We sat on the patio to enjoy the evening sunset highlighting the mountains. His suggestions of the crunchy vegetables with the trout and side of asparagus were superb. We were leaning towards the yummy sounding Brie but are so glad to try the unique appetizer of veggies and dips. The dried carrot chips were unique and I have never had dehydrated capers before! So unique! The pairing with a bottle of rose from BC at our server’s suggestion was fantastic!

Bear Street Tavern is a rustic and laid-back hangout located on Bear Street in Banff. It's known for serving thin-crust pizza and Canadian pub grub, along with a variety of craft beers on tap. The tavern offers a casual rooftop and street-level patio where visitors can enjoy their meals. Despite not having an extensive pizza menu, the quality of their pizzas is highly praised.
This place is really nice to have a lunch or dinner. I ordered Baked chicken wings and big bird pizza and I literally had best pizza of my entire life. It was so fresh and yummy that we ate 2 and packed 1 for dinner. I also loved their patio set up and they have those little heaters with fire on the table which kept us so warm on a chilly day. Me and my friends spent great time there. Our server was also really good and she had good recommendations for us sadly I don't remember her name now. But overall it was an amazing experience.
Komal T — Google review
Great spot for pizzas and pints. We prefer sitting at the bar to better explore the ample bier offerings w the help of the friendly and knowledgeable bar keeps. The salad I had(see pic) had a delightfully light and zesty dressing, not overdone at all. The pepperoni they use is definitely a spicy blend which I prefer and cuts well w the salty cheesiness. The margherita pizza was nice but I really prefer more of the fresh sweet Italian basil w it to pair w the acidity and spice of the red sauce, but that’s just me. Glad we dropped in once again to enjoy the warm and lively atmosphere.
RenegadegeeK — Google review
A very nice eatery in Banff, that has a great patio and as with a lot of restaurants in town, is also pet friendly. The staff was very accommodating and patient with our party of eight plus dog. The pizza and wings were great, though the Cubano was a bit too sauce heavy unfortunately, though still tasty. Overall an excellent experience.

Ended up coming twice during our trip to Banff because the pizza was so delicious and the vibes were perfect for after a long day of hiking. In our two trips we had the pepperoni pizza, elk pizza, and pineapple pizza all of which were fantastic. We also shared a French onion soup and the shrimp Bao; the shrimp Bao were very yummy but portions were a bit tiny for the price. The special beer was a boisenberry variant which had a lovely tang and acidity. Also tried the maple old fashioned which was very much on the sweeter side. Highly recommend!
Jacob — Google review
We were able to eat at the bar with no reservation on a Friday night. Our bartender was super welcoming and offered great suggestions. We had two pizzas, but easily could have shared one. The unique chili oil and honey dipping sauce is amazing!! Great pizza choice if you are in Banff!
Erika — Google review
The restaurant is modern and beautifully designed, perfectly fitting Banff’s mountain theme. There are several seating areas across multiple floors, both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere is inviting, relaxed, and full of local character. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious, clearly made with quality ingredients. We ordered the elk pizza — creative and well-prepared. Personally, I might choose a different one next time, only because the elk flavor was subtle, more of a hearty protein addition than a distinct taste. Still, it was enjoyable and well-balanced. The French onion soup was outstanding — rich, flavorful, and just right for a cool day in Banff. The mozzarella and toasted bread were perfectly done. Overall, a great experience — wonderful service, good atmosphere, and food that reflects care and craftsmanship. “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) Keep doing what you do with excellence and kindness — it truly makes a difference.

The Godfather was an excellent pizza! They have a lovely Rosemary Chili Oil & honey 5 serve their pizza with which was unique! The caesar salad was alright.

Tied for the best meal I had on my two week holiday across Western Canada. And certainly the best lunch by far! We stopped in Banff on our way back to Calgary from Jasper to see the town one last time. We had quite a bit of time so we decided to have lunch and the place we picked wasn’t open until dinner time. The Bear Street Tavern was next-door. What a lucky surprise?! We sat in the courtyard outside and it was charming. The team waiting on us couldn’t be more pleasant or helpful. It’s not a huge menu, which we actually quite liked and I had the Tavern bowl, which was a super tasty kale based vegan salad. I had a chicken because I’m not a vegan, and this salad was incredibly good. The dressing with sublime, the taste and balance of flavour amazing. And it was huge, my husband and I could’ve shared it easily. My husband had the sub sandwich and it was so good really fresh wonderful Italian Chili peppers. I’m originally from New York and that sub sandwich looked really authentic. Did not have big expectations, and I loved this place . I would say it was more lunch than dinner but depends on what mood you’re in and how much food you had all day but you won’t go hungry here and they also do pizza .

Nourish Bistro Banff is a unique eatery known for its inventive vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as creative cocktails. The menu offers a wide range of influences, including Southern comfort food, pan-Asian cuisine, and Italian fare. While the prices are higher than other restaurants in town, Nourish stands out with dishes like build-your-own-charcuterie boards and mushroom-stuffed ravioli in cashew milk-based cream sauce.
We tried this place for the first time after arriving in Banff and were blown away. We ordered the Boss Bear Burger and the Exotic Wild Mushroom Ravioli — both were absolutely delicious. The food was so good that we made sure to come back for brunch before leaving. This time, we had the Mountain Breakfast Skillet and the Nourish Omelette, and they were incredible and so filling. Honestly, this is hands down the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. The flavours, the quality, the service — everything was incredible. Caleb, the owner was super nice and ensured we had the best time ever. Highly recommend!

A Vegetarian Delight in the Rockies If you're looking for the best vegetarian food in Banff, Nourish Bistro is the place to be. The Big Bear Burger was absolutely delicious — flavorful, hearty, and satisfying even for non-vegetarians. They also offer a great variety of fruity beers and creative cocktails that pair perfectly with the food. The service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy, nature-inspired ambiance adds to the overall experience. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and uniqueness of the dishes make it worth it. Make sure to book in advance as it could be very busy.

We’re not vegan, but we always love trying vegan food and Nourish did not disappoint! We saw great reviews and decided to check it out. The food was honestly amazing. We loved everything we ordered, and the cocktails were just as good. Only thing that threw us off a bit was that we weren’t done with our food (we still had fries and few bites left), and one of the staff just picked up our plates without asking if we were done. That felt a little off, to be honest. But apart from that, the rest of the staff was nice, and the vibe was good. If you’re vegan or just curious to try vegan food, this place is definitely worth a visit. Loved their in-house burgers, highly recommend!

I loved Nourish Bistro so much that I ate here TWICE during my 2 day visit to Banff. The first time I had the delicious Vietnamese Noodle Salad with tofu. Not only was it delicious, but it was colourful and beautifully composed. The next day I came back for a lighter meal and had the vegetable gyoza. I also enjoyed the home made lemon / lime drink, which was wonderfully refreshing and not too sweet. The best part was the terrific service! The staff seemed to operate as a very cooperative team to provide seamless service. The restaurant itself had a comfortable and calm vibe. Sit outside on their patio with yellow umbrellas to get a lovely view is the mountains. Support this small, independent business! 💛

Super friendly and super relaxed staff. Good ambiance. Most importantly really good food. The menu is creative and divers. All vegetarian restaurant and all upgradable to vegan. It does so without screaming this, in my opinion that is a huge plus and a compliment. Just go and try this restaurant.

If ever you are in Banff, this is a gem of a place. Everything is vegetarian or vegan including the drinks. We were in Banff end of May and were looking for a restaurant with more vegetarian options as well as the ambience. This place fitted the needs. Lovely patio sitting and the service was excellent. It was Saturday evening and the place was packed so we waited for 15 mins to get a table which was so worth it considering all the delicious options on the menu. There were four of us - we ordered Boss Bear Burger, Nourishment Bowl and Wild Mushrooms Ravioli. All three dishes were yummy. And also ordered beer and a non alcoholic drink. Will definitely go there again if ever we are in Banff!!

So nice to find a place to enjoy a variety of fresh, healthy and original veggie dishes. The dumplings were prolly our favorite but I do have to give a shout out to both the beet humus and their marinaded/grilled tofu …both were super yummy as part of the overall salad I had. Thankfully the dressing was not overdone so I could enjoy the overall mix of flavors. Glad the weather cooperated as it was nice to dine on the patio and enjoy the lively outdoor atmosphere. PS- if u get the dumplings and have any dipping sauce left over, I loved dipping the falafel into it, but maybe that’s just me!

Heaven for vegetarians. We got the mushrooms ravioli and black bean burger. The fries with the burger were seasoned so well. And all the sauces were super tasty. Going back again to try other stuff. Definitely recommend. The staff is super friendly and welcoming!!!

Bluebird Wood-Fired Steakhouse is a modern steakhouse in Banff that offers an elevated menu featuring Alberta specialties like prime rib, Bluebird eggs benedict, and souffle pancakes. The drinks menu includes cocktails with spirits from nearby Park Distillery. The restaurant has a mid-century atmosphere and focuses on steakhouse classics with modern twists. It promises a unique dining experience with the best cuts of Alberta beef cooked over a wood-fired grill.
When in Banff and you want a nice night out. I can’t recommend this place enough. The ambience is lovely. The patio is so warm with the table fires, the inside is modern yet still has that rustic Banff feel. The food was incredible. All steaks are cooked on a wood fired grille. Our host Patrick was incredibly friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations. A reservation is probably needed, especially on weekends.

Walked in on a busy evening and the staff were very kind to seat us - expected an hour wait for the kitchen but it was worth the wait! The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare)! And extremely tasty. The vegan risotto was a delightful surprise and we aren’t vegans and it was so flavourful and well textured that we could not tell that it has no cheese in it! Would happily order it as a main again! Broccolini was well grilled and generous! Great service as well. One of the more memorable meals that we had in banff ❤️

Lovely spot for breakfast/brunch, and delicious food! We got the eggs benedict and the mountain breakfast, both which were great. Honestly, the sourdough bread was superb (I would go back for this alone, haha) The sausage was a little different than I was expecting (texture/toughness); however, nonetheless, was still a great breakfast overall. My partner stated these were the best egg benedict he's had on the trip - we kept ordering them. The atmosphere is charming, and felt super cozy on a brisk day in Banff. Would absolutely come here again and recommend to everyone!

We stopped in here for a brunch and wow, we got the brunch of our dreams! We got the soufflé pancakes, omelette, farmer’s breakfast, double cheeseburger and the eggs Benedict. I highly recommend adding wild mushrooms to the eggs Benedict - it made it the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! The double cheeseburger was smash burger style and the omelette was fluffy. The crispy hashbrown sticks were so unique. We were all super satisfied and the service was incredible!

We totally enjoyed a dinner of a lifetime at the Bluebird. It was so tasty and so delicious … honestly❤️ I don’t usually post reviews but we were so overwhelmed with this place starting with our server Reuben who was top notch and made us feel that we’ve been friends forever. He truly made our anniversary date night memorable. We enjoyed the steak with side dishes and truly it was the tastiest meal ever. The wine was enjoyable too lol. Thank you Bluebird ❤️

We were placed sitting on the lesser side of the restaurant and the fire place side was reserved for the nicer dressed people. Server spilled coffee on the mug and table, saw it, didn't even bother to say sorry or clean it up. Had to clean myself. After that I asked for a clean napkin, still didn't say anything and it took a while to receive a clean napkin, but it did came before our breakfast. We also don't eat pork. Asking for a substitute, they say they have nothing.. like how? Add some extra patatoes, or a pancake, salad, anything, can't think of a substitute? That was really not service friendly. The portions are small and way too expensive for what you get. Pancakes were nice, but were more like a mix of pound cake and pancake kind of thing, not pancakes as we know them. The location is however great, nice historic building, great history.

This restaurant is amazing! From the service to the food, it was an 8/10 experience. Our server was incredibly thoughtful and made sure our large group of family and friends was well taken care of and enjoying the meal. The food was fantastic flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The ambience is also a standout; I loved the warm, cozy decor which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Bluebird Woodfired Steakhouse and look forward to coming back again!

REALLY wanted to love this place. Wanted to eat a steak and have a fine dining experience. THAT did not happen. Three people ordered steaks and they were terribly over cooked (see pictures). Service was wanting and the cooks do not take any suggestions. Don’t try to send your food back, they will rebuke it. The cheese sauce was good but heavy. The halibut was delicious. Go somewhere else to spend $60+ per person.

Brewery
Banff Ave Brewing Co. is a large 2-storey brewpub offering a variety of ales by the glass or growler, along with a menu featuring burgers, steaks, pasta, and poutine. The brewery uses top-quality wheat and barley grown in Alberta, which are also the region's primary exports. With glacial fresh water from Banff's taps, they produce award-winning beer. Additionally, the establishment participates in events alongside other Alberta craft breweries.
Stopped in to try the local beer options in Banf. This brewery is a fun place! The staff was friendly and efficient. The black IPA was very good. The place was in a feather mood due to the hockey playoffs. We didn't eat but the food looked good. Overall it was a fun experience.

Great spot for fresh beers, Ride or Dry was my favorite! The smash burger was goooood. The hot chicken sandwich could have had more seasoning / sauce. It was pretty dry. The servers were friendly, the vibe is great. Would recommend.

I’ve eaten here many times over 14years and usually love the food. But tonight we ordered takeout through an app, and my burger came with this awful rotten piece of lettuce! I don’t mean wilted from being in the box, but yellow & brown patches from it being days or weeks old! It was disgusting to find rotten food in my freshly ordered meal!!!

A little late to review but better late than never! On a weekend trip with my mom and sister I insisted we go to Banff ave brewing as it is a favourite of my husband and I. We previously had a lot of the fancier restaurants booked for dinners. We popped in at opening for lunch and we had such a fantastic meal. My mom ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and she said it was the best “burger” she has ever had and that the fries were absolutely perfect. I ordered a regular burger and have dietary restrictions, our server Jeremiah was so helpful and just overall a wonderful server. He was attentive, funny and knowledgeable. The nitro pina colada was killer. Thank you for a wonderful time as always.

This is a fun brewpub with an excellent selection of permanent and rotating beers on tap - the tasting selection of 6 beers is the way to go. It was fully packed out when we visited owing to the Melissa’s Road Race crowd but were still well served despite longer than usual waits for drinks and food. A good, convenient and causal pit stop for some drinks and grub on the main drag.

Stopped into Banff Ave Brewing and had the 12-oz Wild Warden (Raspberry Rhubarb Sour 6.2%) which was a really good beer that I would have again. This was a nice brewery with more draft options than the Three Bears Brewery nearby. Unfortunately the 2nd floor seating at the balcony lookong out onto the street had all seats taken, otherwise, that seemed like a really nice spot to enjoy a cold beer on a warm day.

Visitors can enjoy weekly Greek dance nights and experience the cultural traditions of Greece while savoring scrumptious meals.
The best meal we had in Banff! I had the seafood pasta, my husband had the lamb shank, and we shared the hummus with braised lamb as an appetizer. Everything was great! Our server was very nice and attentive also.

If you’re in Banff and craving incredible Mediterranean flavors, Balkan Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Their kebabs and grilled meats are simply outstanding — perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of rich, authentic flavor. Every bite feels like a celebration of traditional Mediterranean cooking. The lamb and chicken souvlaki were juicy and cooked to perfection, and the beef kebabs had just the right amount of char from the grill. You can tell the quality of ingredients is top-notch, and the presentation is beautiful too. Whether you’re a meat lover or just looking for something satisfying and flavorful after a day of exploring, Balkan hits the mark. Highly recommended!

Incredible place all around. Staff was absolutely wonderful the server took time out to play with the baby and even provided some fun toys for him. She made expert recommendations based on what she noticed we enjoyed. A fair bit of the meat options were halal and perfectly cooked. The flavors worked so well and every single thing was delicious. I’ve already been twice in less than 6 months and I don’t even live in the province. Every time I am in Banff, I will go back to the Balkan 👏

While visiting Banff, we decided to have lunch in this Mediterranean Restaurant. They are busy during midday. We ordered their Kalamari, Fries, Lamb Souvlaki, Lamb Chop, and Linguini Santorini. The spices and herbs are on point! I can taste the flavours soaked into the meat. Their pasta is also good. The portion is very generous amd service was quick.

This was my first trip to Banff, and after going through lots of options and discussions, we decided to stop by Balkan Banff — and I’m so glad we did! As soon as we walked in, we were amazed by the beautiful and aesthetic ambience. The vibe of the restaurant is just stunning. We tried their platter and cocktails — both were absolutely amazing and truly must-try items! The flavors and presentation completely blew us away. I would especially recommend going for lunch. A special shoutout to Abi, our server. She was incredibly professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. You can ask her anything regarding substitutions or recommendations, and she’ll guide you perfectly. Her service really elevated our experience and made our day. Thank you, Abi, for being such an amazing server!

I came here on a whim and enjoyed every bit of it. Sat on the bar table, both Jeremy + Olivia were really chill to talk to. The food was delicious and overall place was very lively. Katherina / Mala Jamal really kept the party going. She really motivated me out of my comfort zone and onto the dance floor. 🕺💃 Spanakopita - 10/10 - delicious. Veg and totally 🤯. I recommend. Whipped Spicy Feta Spread - 9/10 - really good. The spread was excellent and the pita was ok.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (almost 5 stars, but one lost to the chili pineapple drink 🥲) Me and my friends did a quick day trip to Banff, and stumbled upon what I can only describe as a foodie side quest reward: this hidden gem in Banff! 🎉 We started with the loaded fries and the duo dip combo (beetroot hummus + tzatziki = the dream team). Honestly, I would’ve been fine just living off that… but no, our stomachs had other plans. For mains we went all in: Alberta beef platter (chef’s kiss 👌), roasted chicken (juicy enough to bring a tear to your eye), edamame falafel (surprisingly life-changing), and the lamb wrap (like a warm hug in food form). Everything arrived hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The staff? Super friendly—like, “should we be best friends now?” friendly. Bonus points: lots of halal options, so everyone in our group left happy and full. 🙌 The only plot twist? The chili pineapple drink. Imagine being betrayed by fruit. 🍍🌶️💔 Wouldn’t recommend. Overall: highly recommend to friends, family, strangers, your mailman, and maybe even your enemies (so they’ll be too full and happy to bug you).

Block Kitchen + Bar is a trendy and lively spot in Banff, offering a diverse selection of small plates with an Asian twist. This relatively new addition to the dining scene has quickly gained popularity for its tapas-style menu featuring influences from Izakaya and other Asian cuisines, all made with locally sourced ingredients.
Great experience overall, with couple items falling short but the rest carried. Loved the ahi tuna, nice light entree with a great slaw. The bone marrow and the fried chicken app should not be skipped either. Chicken was crispy and moist, and sauce it was tossed in good. The creme brullee dessert was absolutely fantastic, we ordered a second one after finishing the first. Rilletes and ribs not so great, would pass on those. Tokyo fries delicious to share. Small restaurant so there can be a wait.

Saw the reviews about the ramen curry and had to try it. It was incredible! There were a lot of toppings in it, so much flavor and it was a good portion. My bf got the thai curry mussels w pita bread. He said they might have been the best mussels hes ever had and cleaned the bowl 😅 We both agreed we could have gone without the tiramisu brownie dessert. The top has caramelized sugar, middle is a tiramisu cream layer, and the bottom is brownie. It was unique but not amazing. The service was good, the waitress always came by at a good time. This place is so small, it probably seats aorund 20 people at once. Super cool place! Wish I could have tried more things cause everything sounded so good.

My husband and I had dinner at Block on our recent trip to Banff and WOW was it amazing! We've been coming to Banff for 10 years and I cannot believe this was the first time we tried it. Everything was so delicious from the karaage chicken to the lettuce wraps to the dumplings and even the dessert. We also got a side of the in house kimchi and it was 10/10. Initially came here to try out their duck poutine and curry ramen but unfortunately it was only available on their lunch menu and we came for dinner. Luckily the two dishes we got instead were really good. To fill our duck craving we got their duck spring rolls rich had the perfect crunch paired with an incredible dipping sauce that I’ve never had with spring rolls before. Extra points for the presentation! My girlfriend has never had bison before so we went with the smoked bison & pesto flat bread. We both enjoyed it and I think every ingredient on it was great and worked well together. If I’m ever back in Banff I’ll be sure to come back and try their lunch menu.

We had a wonderful dinner with our family of 10. Everything we ordered — from the grilled meats to seafood and kids’ pasta — was delicious. The server was super friendly and explained the dishes very kindly, which we really appreciated. We asked if there were any coloring activities for the kids — they didn’t have anything prepared, but they brought us blank paper and pens, which was a nice touch. Highly recommended!

We had a really nice brunch here. We'd spotted the restaurant the morning before whilst exploring the town centre and weren't disappointed with our visit. Due to roadworks going on the main entrance wasnt accessible but there were clear signs directing us how to access the lift and alternative entrance where we had a cheery welcome from the staff and got spoilt rotten by Nisha who served us. We both had Eggs Benedict (Mine with Canadian Bacon and my Partners with Smoked Salmon which came with Hash potatoes. Nisha also helpfully pointed out to us that we could have them with a mimosa for the same price. We didn't need to be told twice so we had one with Passion fruit and the other with grapefruit. Options I've never tried before but most definitely will in the future. All throughout our meal Nisha an her colleague (whose name we didn't get, sorry!) who had welcomed us checked up on us and refreshed our coffee mugs and water. Nisha also gave us tips on visiting Tunnel Mountain where we were headed off to for our hike afterwards. Altogether a lovely meal experience. Thanks guys!

The atmosphere was good and service was fast. We ordered duck wings, cowboy steak, tenderloin and gnocchi. I liked the wings and cowboy steak! The steak was tender and juicy. The wings were savory! The only thing I didn't like was the gnocchi. It was too dry and I didn't feel any potatoes at all. It was like flour balls.

We celebrated my partner’s birthday here and had such a lovely experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, and they even surprised us a complimentary dessert for the birthday celebrant—which was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch. We started with the Cast Iron Crab Gratin Dip, which was creamy and packed with flavor. For mains, we had the Signature Maple Salmon & Prawns and the 18oz Alberta Cowboy Steak—both cooked perfectly. We paired everything with a glass of Ice Wine, which added a sweet finish to the meal. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, perfect for a special occasion. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience in Banff.

Had breakfast here with the family. Friendly enough staff on arrival and lovely flowers at the front door! Pretty much everything you would expect for a breakfast eatery. I always get a bit freaked out by loads of ketchup / sauce bottles open on a display as I worry about how long they have been there- how can you track the dates of all those bottles?? The decor was a bit confused and I couldn’t work out the vibe…..Masquerade masks 🎭 on the wall along with jazz instruments and a suspended ceiling with 80s style Miami Vice curved arches. But don’t be put off. The food was really good🤨I ate strawberry waffles with cream, my son blasted through chocolate choc chip buttermilk pancakes and my Wife really enjoyed buttermilk pancakes, maple syrup , Canadian 🇨🇦 bacon and cream. We washed this down with tea and water. It is worth noting my son is a pancake expert with real world experience and he rated them highly!

We were dining on the patio, and at the beginning they told us, “We can’t guarantee you’ll be able to move inside if it rains.” Still, we decided to enjoy sitting outside. Then, out of nowhere, it started pouring. I asked our server, just in case, if we could move inside, and they immediately prepared a table for us and guided us in. I was there with my parents, so it was such a big help! The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was excellent. Thank you so much!

Tried their tacos and the basin burrito — both were delicious! Fresh ingredients, great flavor, and well-balanced seasoning. Portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted authentic. Definitely worth coming back for more!

We are OBSESSED with magpie and stump. Whether we stop in for nachos after a long day of skiing or can’t resist a margarita during a browse in Banff… this is our go to. The food is FRESH, AUTHENTIC and GENEROUS! Nothing will beat the house made corn chips either. Service is always animated and promptly timed! Makes for a memorable experience.

After visiting the lakes, we were walking back to our car we came upon the delicious smelling Magpie & Stump and hurried in. I had a delicious jalapeño margarita and chicken quesadillas, and my son had the recommended chicken fajitas. They were both very good. We had a fantastic server from London, and the bar tender kept the drinks coming:)

Amazing choices of beer and Food. We ordered quesadillas, tacos and couple of beers. Loved the food, the vibe and felt bit neglected by the waiter as they would take time to come on check if we need anything. Waiter didn’t even bothered to ask if we need any desserts. But again it would be that one Individual. I would definitely go again if I am in BANFF

One of the friendliest places we were in while in Banff. The cocktails were brilliant, and the food sublime, all with great service. So good, we came back twice more during our stay with each experience living up to the last. The nachos are a must.

Farm & Fire is a modern restaurant located in the Elk + Avenue Hotel in Banff, Canada. The restaurant prides itself on its farm-to-fork concept, using ingredients from small, local, organic farmers to create a menu with Canadian flair. The dishes include barbecue 'pig wings,' slow-roasted rotisserie chicken, mushroom orecchiette pasta, and flatbread pizza. The drinks menu offers Canadian wines, local craft beers, and unique cocktails made with Canadian spirits.
I had the baked salmon bowl for brunch. It was delicious! The chicken sausages were ok but the rotisserie chicken was really good as well. It’s loud in the restaurant and staff could have had better service, however, the service wasn’t bad either. I would come back again.

Stopped by without a reservation and the staff were able to accommodate us within a matter of minutes. The food was incredible. I have joked with friends that two of the best breakfasts spots happen to be in Banff, and this is one of them. The colors and tastes on the plate were beyond. This was an unexpected delight.

Had a wonderful dinner back in March and tried many items from the menu. Everyone really loved the brussels sprouts, carrots, and the risotto, but the meat was tremendous! Had a really fun waiter who also gave us a good wine recommendation. Fantastic spot for while you’re visiting.

Everything is expensive in the area, so I didn't deduct any points. The 5-star rating comes from fresh ingredients, great tasting food and good service. We ordered 2 kids classics, bison Benny, and duck leg. The portions are moderate, but they all taste amazing. I also noticed super heavy silverware, that usually is a good sign.

Came in here to eat lunch and it looked busy. I told the hostess I understand if she didn’t have anything available since they look busy. She gave me a look and said they aren’t busy. After waiting 15 minutes I got a table for two. The waitress was friendly however slow to fill drinks and take orders. When we got our food it was very good and unique! It is a slightly limited menu and I’d eat here again, just interesting how the tone was set. Not busy but was packed and service was slow. Had to ask for our tab too.

Brandon was our server and he was impeccable. He offered superb recommendations. I ordered the vegan mushroom wellington and my husband ordered the duck for dinner. Our meals were delicious. The flavor profile on both dishes will not leave you disappointed, we both were internally doing our happy food dance. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a laid back vibe with a modern elegant look. The lighting was perfect, not too dim and not too bright. The music was of course, the best era of music.. the 80's. If you're ever in Banff, this is definitely the place you need to visit.

The food is well prepared and quite tasty. The mains are meant for sharing so the portions are pretty big. I got the pork tenderloin and it was made to perfection. The apple chutney with the peppers was *chef’s kiss* sooo well paired with the pork . All the servers are kind and well versed in the menu items. Brandon is a gem .

We visited this place with friends and were very pleased! We ordered breakfast, brunch, and two lunches — everything was served very quickly, within about 15 minutes after we were seated. The service was excellent: the staff were friendly, attentive, and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The food exceeded our expectations — everything was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals, and we were left with nothing but positive impressions. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The only minor issue we encountered was with parking. We had to search for a spot and ended up parking a bit further from the entrance. However, this didn’t spoil the experience — everything else was truly great. Highly recommend this place for a tasty start to your day or a relaxing lunch. Thank you to the team for such a wonderful experience!

Three Bears Brewery & Restaurant is a unique and inviting spot in Banff, designed to make you feel like you're dining in the heart of a forest. The wood-lined interior is adorned with wildlife statues and features a 25-foot pine tree, creating a cozy atmosphere.
The food here was pretty good, a bit on the pricey side. We ordered the French onion soup, the wings and the mac n cheese. I really enjoyed the wings, they had so much flavor and the French onion soup hit the spot on the rainy day that we went. The mac n cheese was not bad, but a bit on the mild side for flavor. Service was great, all the staff were super friendly and there was plenty of outdoor seating so we could sit with our dog.

We had an amazing experience at 3 Bears Brewery! On our second visit, we were served by Eloy, who was absolutely fantastic. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the staff handled everything with such professionalism and genuine friendliness. It’s no surprise this place is always packed — they have their own crafted beers that are simply a must-try! The food was also incredible, and every bite was worth it. Kudos to the owner and manager for running such a well-organized and welcoming establishment. We’ll definitely be back!

We came here for dinner and were seated upstairs. The space was beautifully decorated with a stylish bar and a glass roof that let in lots of light — and closed up nicely when it got chillier outside. Service was perfect. Our friendly waiter guided us through the (beer) menu, which was much appreciated. They brew the beer locally, and as Belgians we were very happy to finally drink good, affordable beer abroad. Even better: it wasn’t just affordable, it was really tasty too! We tried the pilsner, a fruity seasonal, and the mango IPA. For mains, we had a pepperoni pizza and mac ’n cheese. The pizza was basically more pepperoni than pizza (not necessarily a bad thing), but the dough was solid. The mac ’n cheese was tasty and definitely filling.

We visited a brewery restaurant in downtown Banff after seeing the good Google reviews. Since the weather was nice, we sat on the patio. We ordered a pale ale, mushroom pizza, and the beef tenderloin. The beer was smooth and tasty, and the food overall was quite good. The steak was more tender and flavorful than expected, though the prices were on the higher side. Service was friendly, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious with two floors. It’s not right on the main street, so it felt quieter and more relaxed, which we really enjoyed.

We stopped into Three Bears tonight on our second trip to Banff. We regret not coming here for dinner sooner! Our server Macy was wonderful. Very friendly, funny, great customer service, made great cocktails and was very accommodating to our requests and vegan guests. All staff we encountered were kind and welcoming. Food was amazing, o.s. they aren’t kidding about the crust, sooo good! and the maple old fashioned is a must try. I highly recommend stopping in!

Check out the Happy Hour here. Everything was pretty good. Was really surprised about how good the mac n’ cheese was. The whole entire place is photo worthy. There was also live music. Don’t miss this place when you visit Banff

I visited this place with my family on a Saturday afternoon. Although it was a bit crowded, the wait time was surprisingly short thanks to the spacious interior. The decor is vibrant and nature-inspired, with beautiful displays featuring animals and greenery, it gives the space a warm, energetic vibe. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into creating the atmosphere. The service was excellent; our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. There was also live music playing, which made the experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, every dish we ordered was delicious. We had the 7-cheese pizza, perfect for cheese lovers, the Caesar salad, which was fresh and flavorful, and the Alberta bison ribs, a local specialty that was tender and rich in flavor. The cheesy waffle fries were also a hit, crispy and loaded with flavor. I tried the Pinery Pilsner beer, which was crisp, refreshing, and paired well with the meal. An extra fun touch: they also sell their own branded merchandise, which adds to the charm and personality of the place. I definitely recommend this spot for its great food, excellent service, fun vibe, and unique atmosphere.

Really happy with our experience at Three Bears. Hugely busy, so glad we got a reservation! The beer was wonderful, and the environment was perfect. We got a chicken sandwich and a pizza to split. The chicken sandwich was great, and the pizza was quite tasty, too. We did wish the cheese had been marbled a bit more at a higher temperature, but no real complaints. Definitely recommended!

Shoku Izakaya is a laid-back restaurant in Banff, offering a mix of Japanese and Pan-Asian cuisine. Led by renowned chef Stephane Prevost, this izakaya-style eatery presents an array of authentic dishes such as sushi, ramen, grilled skewers, and takoyaki. The cozy space is adorned with delicate paper lanterns, creating a Tokyo-inspired ambiance.
I have been to many a Japanese restaurants all over the world. I love sushi. So I was very surprised to find this little gem one night. Service was great, sushi was fantastic. Fresh cuts of sashimi and nigiri. The negitoro roll was good. Thick cuts of fish and value wise very good. On top of that their ice cream (although not homemade) of black sesame and red bean was one of the best I have ever had. We were only a table of 4. Dinner was so good, I brought our entire family of 14 back later in the week. Again great service for our 2nd time there, they are run like a well oiled machine. All the appetizers we had, agedashi tofu, chicken karaage (great batter and so tender), meat skewers, pork belly buns, hamachi Kama, etc were really good. And of course the star of the menu, their sushi, everyone agreed was fantastic. Everyone had ice cream, and some like myself ordered 2. Drinks were great. Never heard of chocolate sake, but it’s like drinking Nutella, according to my wife who enjoyed it. This was by far the best restaurant we tried in Banff.

We came to Banff for my birthday weekend, and we were told “you have to try Shoku.” And it absolutely did not disappoint. I’m a very picky eater, and I wanted one of everything on the menu! It’s very apparent a lot of thought has gone into the menu and the food - and it’s served as soon as it’s ready so we were able to eat the whole time we were there. The drinks are amazing! Perfect portion sizes. Everything was so fresh. And extremely reasonably priced for Banff! I would make the 3 hour trip from home just to eat at Shoku again. Service was top notch and the atmosphere didn’t miss! Such a cute little sit down restaurant and we loved every minute of our dining experience! Hats off to you guys!

Shoku Izakaya completely blew me away. This place is everything you want after a long, rainy day — comforting, flavourful, and full of heart. We stopped in after a full day of hiking in the rain, and honestly, I’m so sad I can’t come back regularly! We had the daily ramen special with tender pork belly — rich, soothing, and exactly what I needed. I added a bit of spice for a kick, and it was perfection. The spicy calamari? Unreal. Crispy, seasoned just right, and easily one of the best I’ve had. We also grabbed some sushi to go 🍣, and even that was impressive — fresh, well-made, and held up beautifully for a late-night bite. Add in a couple of drinks, amazing service, and a cozy atmosphere, and you’ve got yourself the perfect spot. You can tell the team genuinely cares — every detail is done with love. If you’re anywhere near, Shoku Izakaya is a MUST. I’d go back in a heartbeat if I could.

Great food, skewers a bit pricey for what they are but sushi was really good and nice portion for price. Would recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. Highly recommend the ika (squid) skewer, it was the best squid I ever had, super soft and has a slightly spicy flavor.
Will L — Google review
Ordered daily ramen (tantan), aburi salmon roll, karaage bowl, takoyaki, and curry rice. Curry was quite salty. Karaage's skin was delicious, but the veggies were so-so. Takoyaki has only a small tako in it. Food was good but didn't exactly blow our minds. Staff was really friendly, she checked on us a few times all sweet and smiles!
Akai — Google review
Food was fresh and really tasty, just a bit pricey. Service was lovely and super quick. I was honestly a little disappointed they didn’t have ramen on the dinner menu since that’s what I came for, but hopefully I’ll get to try it next time!
Vicky C — Google review
One should first be aware that this is more of a Japanese-fusion place, but once that’s out of the way the food is brilliantly conceived and executed. Lots of local produce on the menu that is smartly put together as well as some old Japanese favourites (eg black cod) that all hits the spot. Service was good and got us a table quickly around 8:30pm.

Incredible food. So tasty. Good quick service as well, though we were early for dinner- just at the end of happy hour (got a beer in for $6- Banff Ave ipa- of course they also have the Japanese lagers and lots of sake). We had some nigiri and the Korean fried chicken. Fresh fish with ample portions. The chicken was perfect - crispy outside- so tender inside- awesome flavour. Friendly staff!

Hello Sunshine Sushi & Karaoke is a unique restaurant in Banff that combines the ambiance of a ski lodge with a Japanese karaoke bar. It offers a variety of Japanese cuisine, including sushi, ramen, and barbecue, as well as creative options like Cheeseburger Gyoza and Crispy Nori Chips and Dip.
Chicken ramen is a 10 out of 10. The garlic broth felt warm and comforting. The gourmet California roll was just okay for me. What I liked the most was the dine-in environment. It was very cozy, and the decor and color scheme were really pleasant. The service was excellent, and the staff kept smiling throughout the entire visit.

Love the decor - the restaurant is really modern and has lots of natural light from the street-facing window. The hostess was friendly and we were seated quickly even though it was a weekend. The menu is small but has a bit of everything. Everyone enjoyed their food. Our favourite dish was the scallops which were absolutely phenomenal, but was prepared completely differently from the description in the menu. They also do karaoke in the evenings, but we didn't have a chance to try it.

A great final dinner to cap off our time in Banff. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is friendly. I forgot to write a note down for her name, but special shout out to our awesome Kiwi/Aussie server who was serving across the restaurant and making drinks. She was great. We ordered a lot of the menu. Highlights included the Chicken Karagge, A5 Wagyu (which they have a very good price on and the chef cooks perfectly), and the Maui Wowie rolls which were 50% off for happy hour ($6.70 USD for a set of 8 sizeable rolls is a steal in the US). They have great Pork Bao buns here, and I tried bites of the Chicken Teriyaki and the Lobster Fried rice, both of which are stellar even though they weren't my main. If you're coming here for value, slam a bunch of the half price Sushi for happy hour. If you want to try a bunch of stuff, just order a bunch of the amazing Apetizers. Everything we tried was great.
Noah D — Google review
Definitely a new favourite spot in Banff! The service is friendly and quick, and even on a weekend the restaurant was not too busy, although a reservation is recommended. During happy hour, select dishes like some of sushi is 50% off and they did not disappoint. The Maui wowie roll is tropical and the fresh tastes fresh. The pork tonkotsu ramen is flavorful, the egg is soft in the center, and the noodles are cooked well. As a person preference, the pork was too fatty but that doesn’t take away from the 5-star experience

Dining at this Japanese restaurant was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by a serene atmosphere filled with the calming scent of freshly cooked rice, miso, and grilled seafood. The interior design was elegant yet minimal — soft lighting, clean lines, and subtle Japanese décor that made the space feel both peaceful and inviting. Every detail reflected authenticity and care, setting the perfect stage for what turned out to be a truly memorable meal. The food was exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented, almost like a work of art, and every bite captured the true essence of Japanese cuisine — fresh, balanced, and full of umami. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with perfectly seasoned rice and fish that melted in my mouth. The ramen had a deep, flavorful broth that tasted like it had been simmered for hours, rich and comforting with perfectly cooked noodles and tender slices of pork. I also tried the tempura, which was light, crisp, and golden without being greasy — exactly how tempura should be. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were attentive, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu. They explained the ingredients and even recommended sake pairings that complemented the flavors beautifully. Every interaction felt genuine and respectful, staying true to the warm hospitality Japan is known for. It’s rare to find a restaurant that combines authenticity, quality, and atmosphere so perfectly. Whether you’re craving sushi, ramen, or simply a quiet evening filled with exquisite flavors, this place delivers beyond expectations. I left feeling satisfied, relaxed, and excited to return. Truly, this Japanese restaurant deserves all five stars — a hidden gem that captures the heart of Japan right here in town.

Came here on our first night in Banff and ended up coming back on our last night as well. Was able to walk in without a reservation both times, but it does get busy! The vibe is awesome—think SF meets Japan meets ski town. I love that they have all the dietary indicators on the menu since I am someone who has to be dairy free. Highly recommend the non alcoholic matcha colada for the drink. This dishes we loved so much that we ordered them both times were the dragon roll, the shishito peppers, and the chicken karaage. The nigiri was fresh and delicious as well. Would highly recommend!

Brazen is an upscale restaurant located in the heart of downtown Banff, attached to the historic Mount Royal hotel. The restaurant offers playfully elevated fare, such as the Grilled Cheese Benedict and the classic Mount Royal burger. For breakfast, Brazen serves up bold flavors with dishes like Brazen raisin French toast and croque madame. In the evening, visitors can enjoy Canadian classics with a twist from a menu that rotates seasonally.
Our recent dinner at Brazen in Banff was nothing short of exceptional. As parents of a son with severe allergies (peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, and modified milk ingredients), dining out is often a source of anxiety. Brazen turned that anxiety into pure joy. From the moment we mentioned his allergies, the staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. The menu clearly marks allergens, which is a fantastic starting point, but the team went far beyond that. They took our concerns seriously, double-checked everything with the kitchen, and were meticulous about cross-contamination. We felt confident and safe from the start. And the food? Absolutely spectacular. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Most importantly, our son loved his meal so much he cleaned his plate—a rare and happy event! He was so thrilled that he insisted on gifting his own drawing to the chef as a thank you for making such amazing food he could safely eat. Thank you to the entire team at Brazen for your care, professionalism, and culinary talent. You provided more than just a meal; you gave us a wonderful, worry-free family memory. We cannot recommend you highly enough.

Ordered the mushroom tagliatelle, artic char and a side of cauliflower. The mains were excellent with well balanced flavours. The cauliflower could be a bit more roasted but still tasty! Highly recommend this place for great food! They know what they are doing!
Sharon K — Google review
The service was stellar, but the food unfortunately missed the mark. The mushroom pasta was too salty, the Artic Char was a great temp but the accompanying salad was basically just a simple pico de gallo, and the roasted carrots were missing more sauce/honey. The ribs and the bread were delicious though! I would give it a try again but was sadly expecting more from the meal.

we stayed at the hotel, and the restaurant was nothing short of excellent. the food was incredible, i had an english breakfast on the first morning and it was practically blissful to eat. on the second morning, i had a french toast which was perfect. but the highlight of our experience at brazen was Tom, our server. the sweetest gentleman ever, Tom gave us tips on what to see in Banff, and how to spot animals that we wanted to see. He paid an exceptional attention to detail and was always at our service when needed. Tom was and is an excellent server, and Brazen is an excellent restaurant.

If you are looking for a wonderful dining experience in Banff you would be hard pressed to find a more delightful staff or delicious menu than Brazen in the centre of Banff. We arrived late this afternoon and after settling into our accommodation we happened upon Brazen and were able to get a table for two in what clearly is a very popular restaurant. Jody took our reservation with a smile and checked on us during our meal to see all was well. Michelle who looked after us during our meal was absolutrly delightful and couldn’t have done more to make our meal so memorable. Such excellent service! The menu we were advised was good for sharing and so it was. We ordered the harissa chicken and the pork short ribs, both of which were excellent and very generous servings. We accompanied these two mains with beans and potato side dishes. We were so pleased with our choices. We had no space for dessert but have made a reservation to return again during our stay and will be sure to leave space for what looked to be some excellent dessert choices. Thank you Michelle, Jody and all the kitchen team who have made our first dining experience in Banff so memorable. We look forward to returning. Be sure to make a reservation as this is a very popular restaurant.

Great dinner of interesting preparations of salad and beef. The Brazen Salad was an unusual and tasty mix of greens, roasted nuts, tart gooseberries, with a tangy raspberry vinaigrette, one of the tastiest salads I’ve had. Nestled in the heart of Banff, Eddie Burger + Bar is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts. This casual eatery offers creatively crafted burgers, poutine, and boozy milkshakes that put an adult twist on a childhood classic. The Rocky Mountain burger, featuring an elk patty with blueberry chutney, cheddar, romaine lettuce, sauteed onion and mayo on a brioche bun is a standout choice.
Every time we're in Banff we never miss going to Eddie Burger and I'm so glad they've retained the menu over the years because their burgers are delicious! My husband likes the bison and I usually order a classic, but the elk burger is also amazing. Onion rings are also particularly good, as well as the milkshake. The large portion sizes are well-worth and the service was excellent. The only con is the limited seating so you might want to stop by here first to get on the waiting list and then walk around town.

Great burger spot in the Heart of Banff, right where all the action is, and surrounded by historic architecture. The service was excellent and the food is too! The poutine was enormous, made with high quality cheese curds, delicious vegetarian gravy, and crispy crinkle fries! I had the house made, spiced veggie burger, made like a smash burger - it was the bomb! I added onion, and it was a 10/10! Onion rings on the side are made fresh to order, beer battered and also done right! If you’re looking for a good burger in Banff, you’ve found it!

After a poor visit to Magpie and a stump in Banff Alberta, the owner reached out to me to apologize and make it right. We final had a chance to visit Banff again and visited The Eddie Burger + Bar, which is one of their member restaurants. This visit was spectacular. From the service to the food. We could not be more impressed. The location is not large but it is quaint and cozy. Our server explained their menu from the standard food items to the customize your burger menu. You use a dry erase marker on a special menu where you pick out the options you want. Very cool idea and works wonderful in a burger joint. I opted for the classic Eddie burger while my table mates chose the customized option. Over all the food was delicious and hot. A great stop if you like a great classic burger.

As an avid burger lover, this place was recommended to me. I had the build your own burger with a side of crinkle fries and a chocolate milkshake. I was overly thrilled with how everything tasted. They say a picture's worth a thousand words. We had the Stampede with fries and Elk with deep fried pickles; both burgers were tasty and the fries and pickles, especially the sauce that comes with the pickles, were GREAT. What's most surprising though was the raspberry chocolate milkshake! It was seriously super refreshing and not too sweet ❤️ Highly recommend

Been to The Eddie Burger in Banff a few times and it’s always delicious. The fries are well-seasoned, the burgers are big and top-notch, and I love the create-your-own burger option. It’s a small spot so it can get busy, and prices are definitely on the Banff side, but the quality makes it worth it.

I have tried many burgers in Europe(almost in every country),North-America and South-America. Here, I had the chance to try The Rocky Mountain(with Elk patty). In my humble opinion, this was THE BEST BURGER in my life, the taste is incredible and it just melts in your mouth, you have to try it. My wife was not that keen on having Burgers for dinner(three days in a row). The staff is very friendly and always happy to help you. They have an amazing thing going on here, I do hope that they keep it up. When we are in Banff again, we definitely going to have dinner here. Just try it and you won't be dissapointed.

Nestled on the second floor of a charming building on Main Street in downtown Banff, Chuck's Steakhouse is a delightful blend of sophistication and casual comfort. This eatery boasts stunning views of Banff Avenue while serving up an impressive selection of locally sourced steaks, including grass-fed Wagyu and prime beef from Alberta’s Cowboy Trail. Each cut is expertly dry-aged in-house and grilled over mesquite wood before being finished with herbs and butter for that perfect flavor.
Our experience at Chuck’s was truly outstanding. We ordered the seasonal surf and turf, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The sides—macaroni and cheese and asparagus—were just as impressive. I’ll admit, I was skeptical about the honey in the mac and cheese, so we asked for it on the side. But wow—what a surprise! The touch of sweetness paired so well with the richness of the dish. I never would’ve thought to try it, but now I’m a fan. Great food, great service—Chuck’s is definitely worth the visit.

Not a bad steakhouse but what I ordered didn't surprise me. The "Alberta steaks" that are a main selling point at a lot of restaurants in the area including this one just have not impressed me and I don't think they are worth the money. The peppercorn sauce I got as well wasn't that impressive either as I have had better peppercorn sauces from other places. Overall not bad for a nice meal but don't expect to be wowed.

Lovely steak house atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff who can explain everything on the menu. Food was stunning of the eyes and even better on the palette. Our server wipped us up an amazing Cesar salad tableside and the steaks and sides were perfect. The salmon is unbelievably excellent. The steaks- perfect. The sides, quite complimentary! Black ale beer is a perfect companion for your meal. Would definitely do again. Not to be confused with Chucks Roadhouse!

Me and my wife wanted to spend our anniversary at a nice steakhouse and we did not go wrong with Chucks. Made a reservation and we arived 15 mins early and they got us a seat right away. In no time Jess, our server, was there with a smile on her face. She was the absolute best, very friendly, helpful and prompt. After we ordered, the food was on our table in no time and it was exceptional. The Wagyu tenderlion was the best steak we have ever eaten and was cooked to perfection. The sides were portioned well and tasted excellent. There was a good selection of alcohol and Jess was very fast at getting our drinks to us and refilling our water without even asking. After the meal they even offered a desert on the house for our occasion. The whole experience was amazing and very relaxing. Not rushed at all. We would recommend everyone to try the steaks here and to go to Chuck's if ever given the oppurtunity.

Had an incredible experience at Chuck’s! They had a special on that included an appetizer, steak, three sides, and dessert, which was an amazing value for the quality and portions. We also ordered the tableside Caesar and mushrooms, plus a bottle of wine. The steak was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily one of the I’ve had. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dinner after a day in the mountains. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Overall, a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend for anyone craving a great steak in a warm, welcoming setting.

It’s not easy to make our family feel satisfied at same time. 2 kids, 2 seniors and we couple. Actually we go to the Maple Leaf at first. The lady at front desk refused me not only by her words but also by her attitude-no eye contact while refusing. We are lucky to turn to Chuck’s. The lady at front desk here did not answer us very quickly. She checked then let us in. Everything is just right. I have to say, kids menu really shocked me. So good quality and so big portions! Amazing! Prime ribeye has a little bit more fat for us. The original beef flavour is excellent even without black pepper and salt. If you don’t like too much seaning or sauce, this could be a good option. For my parents, I chose beef rib as suggested. True tender, easy for seniors. They like the sauce flavour. Charred broccoli is much better than in other restaurants. It’s another surprise. While we are having dinner, our waitress (sorry I didn’t ask her name) forget our drinks. When we got the bill, this part is free for us. I like their work style. Humble, amiable, facing problems directly and taking the initiative to assume responsibilities. A truly worthy restaurant!

We had dinner at Chuck’s our last night in Banff after several people recommended it. It did not disappoint! Chucks was the best meal we had our entire trip. From the minute we walked in we were treated like royalty. We had just gotten married and they made a point to acknowledge that with complimentary bubbles and over the top service. Our server Tommy was incredible! He was the best server we have had at any restaurant and we travel a lot. He recommended an amazing Canadian wine and made the experience memorable. We got the burrata, table side Caesar, and the Ribeye-all not to be missed! Also the banana cream pie was one of the best desserts we have ever had! We had dinner at the highly recommended 1888 chophouse the night prior to this and there was no comparison. We would come back to Chuck’s over and over! Thank you Tommy for the incredible service and the entire crew for making this a memorable experience for our special time in Banff!

Super happy with my experience at Chucks! A beautiful view and the beef was unreal, we ordered the prime sirloin and prime rib as suggested by the waiter. We also got 3 sides, French fries, broccolini and mushrooms. I would say mushrooms were the least favorite, expected more flavour as it’s was just cooked in butter. Highly recommend!!

Nestled within the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Three Ravens Restaurant & Wine Bar offers a sophisticated dining experience with breathtaking mountain views. The executive chef showcases seasonal ingredients in creatively crafted dishes such as elk rack with organic quinoa and bison with candied fingerling yams.
Nothing short of spectacular. Our dinning experience was amazing from the start. Our Server was excellent, the food...the food was AMAZING. We love to dine out and treat ourselves to a fancier meal once in a while, and this was worth every penny! The decor was subtle, but the food colourful, well thought out and presented beautifully. If I could kiss the chef, I would. This restaurant is a go to for sure.

Visiting Banff from Philadelphia. If I were to recommend a restaurant to anyone visiting, this HAS to be on the top of their list. The service was absolutely stellar, probably the best service I have ever received. Several times our waitress came to offer us tastings of items the menu. The food was incredible, from the octopus starter to the bread with the herb butter to our incredible Trifle desert. 5 stars. Need to come back.
Jimmy S — Google review
I went here for an anniversary dinner with my wife and the staff experience was fantastic. The view outside of the Banff area was stunning. The roll arrived with three different kinds of butters made in house (garlic, mango and black truffle). The salmon mousse amuse bouche was good along with our main courses (beef striploin and duck). I think that the beef was a little overcooked (for my medium-rare request). The "deconstructed" lemon cake was divine and the cheeses were just the right size.

Finally an awesome meal..had to drive from Calgary just for this.. worth it. We tried all the appetizers and made it a degustation menu. Staff was friendly n meals were presented well n had plenty of flavor.. The great escapade...

The food was amazing here. We had the pork belly to start and it was absolutely to die for. Our mains and dessert were equally as amazing. Our server, Yvonne, just made our experience that much better. She was friendly, honest, and to be perfectly honest, we wouldn't have enjoyed our experience as much as we did if it wasn't for Yvonne. The view was breathtaking, especially at sunset. One thing this restaurant could improve is the atmosphere. It didn't feel as intimate as we would have liked as it's just a sectioned off part of a larger dining hall. Other than that, I would highly recommend Three Ravens and hopefully will have the opportunity to come back!
Kristin P — Google review
It's a rarity these days for food to look as beautiful as it tastes. Three Ravens is able accomplish this in leaps and bounds. The menu embraces the location and beauty of Banff and the surrounding areas with local ingredients and capturing those ingredients at their prime. If you are looking to be surprised in a good way, come with an open mind and an empty stomach, you will not be disappointed.

Shared and exquisite meal with my wife and son here this past week. Our waiter Daniel was first class and provided us an amuse bouche on the house. The other waiters were quite tickled with our little rambunctious 15 month old and that was more than appreciated as it’s always a point of contention taking our son out. Overall, the price, the ambience and the quality and taste of the food make for one of the best food experiences I’ve had to date. My wife had the bear and flower rabbit and I had the bison steak.

Italian restaurant
LUPO Italian Ristorante is a popular dining spot in Banff, known for its unique take on Italian cuisine. The restaurant captures the lively atmosphere of an Italian marketplace, with chefs preparing fresh pasta and grilling meats and seafood. The interior is designed to resemble an open-air Italian trattoria, creating an authentic Italian experience.
Mugs loaded with Tiramisu, all homemade Italian food, what else can go right? If I was local, I'd be in here once a month minimum. The Agnalotti was the unanimous winner of the best dish of the night among my family, who thought everything was delicious. The Chicken Parm service is aggregious, it's a half chicken and boy is it good. I also really liked the Uncle Morty pizza, the Pistachios were undesired by my family, but I thought it was a nice touch. Avalon was a saint of a server. I wish her the best in all her endeavors. She explained to our family all the best spots to make sure we went to in Banff, her and her husband's travel recs, and everything else relevant in the city. She also guided us through the menu and paced our dinner execution flawlessly. Nothing but kudos.
Noah D — Google review
We ordered the seafood linguine, spicy rigatoni, carbonara, and the kids’ rigatoni with tomato sauce — all were delicious and well seasoned. The pasta was flavourful and satisfying, especially for a busy Banff restaurant. It’s not the delicate, handmade style you’d find at a little mom-and-pop spot where the chef shops that morning for each table, but it was still excellent quality and clearly made with care. We started with the Caesar salad, which was quite anchovy-forward (we usually prefer a more garlicky one, but that’s just personal taste). The drinks, however, were out of this world, and the service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall, LUPO delivers good Italian food in the heart of Banff with a lively atmosphere and fantastic cocktails. Would definitely return next time we’re in town (especially because the service was the better of all we had over our stay).
Claire C — Google review
Genuinely loved the food, drinks and service here. We were looking for a pasta place and stumbled across LUPO so booked a table for later in the day. The restaurant is light, open and airy located up a set of stairs. We were nestled in a corner at the back of the restaurant and sat perpendicular to each other which worked out great for sharing food. The saffron radiatori was our stand out dish, the flavours were great and we said that we could easily come back and eat that again the next day - the highlight of the whole meal. We also had the spicy meatballs which were really tasty. The cocktails went down very nicely, as did the tiramisu which was demolished very quickly. As others have said in their reviews, the service is always what takes it up a notch. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we left we felt welcome and at ease. The waiter explained the whole menu to us, along with the drinks and any offers they had on. I’d recommend booking a table before you come as when we were there many people were queuing for walk ins - you can book a table online on the day and you will be fine. Side note: the bathroom soap smells fantastic and we went and bought some from Rocky afterwards.
Reiss K — Google review
I kept looking up reviews on where to eat in Banff since there are SO many options all with pretty good ratings. Nearly every Reddit post mentioned Lupo so I had to try it and it did not disappoint. We missed out on making reservations but were seated within 5 minutes at around 5:45-6 on a Saturday in September which we were thrilled about. I would’ve waited though had there been a wait. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere all 10/10. I got the dragonflies in paradise and wolf street hold up cocktails which were both amazing. For food I got the mafaldine limone and my boyfriend got the spicy rigatoni which were both so delicious and flavorful. We did get the focaccia starter which came with 2 pieces. I think this should just come with your pasta instead of costing an extra cost but it’s okay. We will definitely be returning here and recommending it to everyone looking for a place to eat in Banff!

We had a great meal at Lupo, our server Christine was top notch, she explained everything on the menu that we had questions on. Kept our waters full and always checked in. Food was hot a fresh. We had chicken parm, margarita pizza ,truffle fries and seafood pasta. Highly recommend giving them a try,and if Christine is your server you are in for a treat.

We showed up without a reservation and the place was packed. But they had a first come, first served area which the seating was a covered outdoor patio on the second floor, which we preferd and was lovely! Great service and even better food. We ordered Cesar salad for appetizer. Then for main course we chose chicken parmesan( Which was the best i he e ever had) and believe me i have had them at many restaurants and different countries.) Handmade ribbon pasta with Reggiano, butter and lemon which was second to none! Go there and enjoy a great meal!
Nat N — Google review
Nice italian spot in the heart of Banff. The restaurant is visually appealing and offers a nice atmosphere. The food was excellent, but maybe a little under my standards for fresh italian pastas in that price range. Felt more generic than homemade to me. Anyways, the scallop crudo is to die for and is a must try for its unique taste. Would go there again if pasta is what I am craving 🍝
Félix-Antoine B — Google review
This is my first time visiting Banff & I came to dine here as I wanted to go to one nicer restaurant while I’m here and I could not have picked better! I eat a mostly vegetarian diet and they had the best pasta options, I started with the crispy potatoes and they were perfect! Then I got the lemon pasta and wow, I would 10/10 recommend it, the pasta is made fresh I was told by my waiter- who was very kind & helpful! I also finished with the Tirimisu and it was delicious! I took it to go and it was just as good the next day! Do yourself a favour and visit this restaurant in Banff:)

Restaurant
Ramen Arashi Banff is a hidden gem located on the third floor of the Sundance Mall, known only to locals. The compact cafe space offers a delightful ramen experience with a variety of options, including vegetarian versions. Despite its unassuming appearance, this restaurant keeps patrons coming back for more with its piping hot bowls of Japanese-style ramen made from traditional and fresh ingredients.
Great food, service and prices :) If youre looking for flavorful, authentic ramen, this is the place to be! I dont remember what its called, but the chicken and rice bowl was simple but good. The large is definitely more of a meal size rather than the smaller size would be. Got there around 4-4:30, so there was no wait at all. It started getting busier around 5:30 when we were leaving.
Jess — Google review
Good portion size and decent taste. I have it a 4 stars only because the tofu add on to my ramen had a weird taste like it’s spoiled or not fresh… I ordered the arashi signature ramen, and it’s VERY spicy, the broth especially. The service was great and attentive despite being so busy. There’s quite a bit of a wait time since it’s fully packed.
Coline — Google review
There was a line prior to coming but we were prepared for that. Easily worth the wait and the bad reviews sound like bad planning on the other reviewers part. I cant speak for any other items on their menu but I was looking for a Tonkotsu base ramen and their signature Arashi may have been the best ramen I've had to date. I eat quite a lot of tonkotsu ramen and this was very creamy and rich with lots of flavour. Portions were excellent. Staff were friendly and kind. Also Japanese staff working here as well so very authentic. Not sure why it took me so long to try the ramen here as I regularly visit Banff living in Calgary, but I'll always come here before I leave.

This is a really popular Ramen restaurant in Banff and located right on the Banff Avenue (2nd floor of the Sundance Mall). We ordered Seaweed salad, Arashi and Veg Miso Ramen. While the Arashi was really good, their veg miso ramen was not that tasty. If you are looking to have a veg Ramen, I won’t recommend this place. Otherwise, I would totally recommend it. The service is really good. If visiting at the peak times, you may have to wait in a queue.
Neeraj G — Google review
Great small hole in the wall ramen shop. Don’t let the hole in the wall fool you. They are mighty in flavor. They have simple menu selection. Makes it easy to order. We ordered seafood ramen and their signature ramen. Both were delicious. We added extra toppings cause we were hungry. Their char siew for the ramen was very tasty. The restaurant has limited seating. They have a bench outside for folks waiting. Kitchen is by the entrance when you walk in and you can see their action.
Michael Y — Google review
Got recommended this place by two of my friends, so I had to come find out what the hype is about. We felt the popularity right away when there was a long line out the door looking like a 45 minute wait. They also had a sign saying they ran out of pork chashu unfortunately. With our stomachs rumbling we decided to do takeout instead and had our food in 20 minutes. We got an Arashi & Tonkotsu ramen with karaage and they were both INCREDIBLE. My girlfriend is usually a pretty slow eater but she was crushing her bowl (although we were also really hungry so that probably played a factor as well haha) I would say Toronto definitely has comparable ramen to this place but this was an S tier bowl of ramen.
Andy L — Google review
Food .. 1000 Service.. 1000 Atmosphere...authentic If you love ramen or just barely like it...YOU need to RUN to Ramen Arashi. The lovers of ramen will want to live next door to this place, the non lovers will change their minds and become absolute fans of ramen. If there is a line..WAIT, you will not be disappointed. We stood in line with 3 people ahead of us and only waited 15-20 minutes. We were only in Banff for 4 nights and we ate here twice, it would have been 4 times but we didn't come across this quaint little restaurant until our 3rd night. My husband got the Spicy Tonkatsu and the miso tonkatsu. I got the veggie tantan both nights. Again...YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE.

We had dinner at Ramen Arashi in Banff and were blown away by how good the food was—easily some of the best ramen I’ve had in a long time. During our meal, there was a minor accident, but the way the staff and management handled it was truly impressive. They addressed it immediately, offered fair compensation, and showed a level of professionalism that deserves recognition. Great food, great service, and a team that genuinely cares. We had an amazing waiter named Christian from Slovakia. He was helpful, friendly and encouraging. He told us that everything in the restaurant is made from internal secret recipes: hamburger mixes, soups, marinades, sauces, etc. the meal was so fresh!

A neat little corner diner-like restaurant. The food offered a sense of comfort like home cooking does. Really good eats to re-fuel for hiking, biking etc. I got a turkey club with corn and sweet potato soup. My mom got a chicken burrito with chips and salsa. Also got a mixed berry mocktail which was divine. Food came out quickly, within 15 minutes. Our server was also very kind and checked up on us throughout the meal, ensuring it was alright. Would recommend 😋

Maybe I shouldve tried something a little more interesting, but the Rundle Mnt breakfast was very average. The wildberry compote has a weird texture to me, the potatoes weren't super seasoned, and the eggs weren't seasoned at all. The french toast was pretty decent, though! The water is straight from the tap and has a bit of a chemical taste 😅 Service was fine, the place was quiet and had a southern feel.

Went for a late lunch on Tuesday. Not many customers except one other table with a big group. Our server was nice. Ordered the salmon plate and huevos rancheros. Both solid dishes. Nothing fancy just good food. It wasn’t a wow kinda meal but it got the job done if you’re hungry.

Stopped here to try something out of our usual places to eat in Banff and we're very happy! The waitress was super friendly and quick. It's a busy place so you can expect to wait for a seat around breakfast, we got lucky as a table just opened. The coffee tasted fresh and good, and the scrambled eggs were done just how I like them! 🍳

Best breakfast I’ve ever had - if we’re ever in Banff again, we’ll definitely be back. Pancakes were fluffy + light, berry compote was SO good. No upcharge for real/pure maple syrup (amazing). Potatoes and back bacon were both good - not too greasy. Tunnel Mountain was the perfect serving size. Quick service + super reasonably priced (around $20 per person including coffee, before tip). Overall, a great place for breakfast if you’re not looking for anything fancy/over the top.

The huevos rancheros were excellent! Blue corn tortillas were perfectly balanced between crunch and soft enough to cut, flavor was as good of a classic preparation as I’ve had. Service was friendly and prompt and seating is nice and cozy. Coffee was also above par for a cafe pour, and cup never went empty. Well done🤌

Nice welcoming atmosphere. Something about the place gave me a good vibe like I was back in New Mexico. I had the half sandwich (Club) and chicken tortilla soup. A great cafe to visit while in Banff! I got espresso, roasted root veg, berry brioche and a banana croissant. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The toasted bread was crisp and fluffy. The berry brioche had just come out so it was warm and soft. Highly recommend!

The café was always busy, with a queue of customers waiting to get in. There were seats available inside, on the patio, and in shady spots in the alley. We arrived too late to order a breakfast sandwich, but the smoked sandwich we chose as a substitute was excellent. The homemade sourdough bread was fresh and crispy after being heated, and the meat was juicy and flavorful! For dessert, we ordered the almond croissant. It was flaky and fresh, with a delightful crispy almond topping. Lovely place with friendly staff, highly recommend!

If there‘s a queue, the coffee must be good! This rule of thumb proved to be true once again. The coffee is great and the pastries look amazing. The Almond croissant was out of this world! If you get here and there is no seating available just get in the queue, the turnaround on the tables is quite quick

I saw a lot online about this cafe and it even exceeded my expectations! Perhaps slightly overpriced, but a perfect place for a brunch/light lunch. Excellent coffee. Queue was always long but moved relatively quickly. The GF brownie was amazing! I did not try a pastry but they looked amazing.

Wild Flour is a lovely spot in Banff if you’re craving fresh baked goods and a cozy café vibe. The pastries and breads are excellent – the croissants were buttery and flaky, and the sourdough is worth taking home. Coffee and lattes were good, though not always the most consistent, and prices are on the higher side (pretty normal for Banff). The café does get busy during peak times, so expect a bit of a line, but the staff are generally friendly and efficient. Great place to relax with a coffee or grab something to fuel up before exploring the mountains.
Vishaka P — Google review
We tried the mocha, cinnamon bun, and almond croissant, everything was great, but the almond croissant was truly on another level. The service was good, and the atmosphere was cozy. Overall, a nice place to stop by for coffee and pastries in Banff.

The service is great, the coffee is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the food is fresh! I only ordered an Americano and chocolate croissant but I saw how delectable all their other pastries and sandwiches looked. If there was anything I could say that would make this place perfect - is I wish there was just a wee bit more chocolate in the chocolate croissant. This is a busy bakery/cafe! Be prepared for a lineup during busy times and possibly needing to grab a seat outside (which is also beautiful).

Whitebark Cafe, nestled in the scenic town of Banff, Alberta, Canada, is a charming mountain retreat that attracts both travelers and locals. This cozy cafe is celebrated for its meticulously prepared espresso drinks and an enticing array of freshly baked pastries. The welcoming ambiance and attentive staff ensure a memorable experience with every visit.
Cute cafe in the middle of Banff national park. It's furnished beautifully and equipped. They have an extensive menu as well as attentive staff. I had a matcha latte here and it was delicious, it was smooth and you can tell the ingredients were high quality! Lots of space both inside and outside the cafe to get some work done. I like how clean the cafe is and the natural beauty of Banff mountains surrounding the cafe itself. This is a wonderful pitstop location right before going into deeper adventure into Banff national park. If your living in the Banff area I do recommend taking a stroll down to this cafe spot.

Early-morning lifesaver! ☕️🍳 Whitebark Café was the perfect start to our day in Banff! Their drip coffee was absolutely delicious, and the frittata was fresh and flavorful—exactly what we needed. We really appreciated their early opening hours, which made it easy to grab a tasty breakfast before catching our early morning bus to Lake Louise.

Whitebark Café is a gem in Banff! I had the Americano misto and it was perfectly balanced—smooth, rich, and just what I needed to start the day. The pork and fennel rolls were a standout—flaky, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Cozy atmosphere, great vibe, and quality all around. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town and looking for a solid coffee and bite to eat.

I ordered a Couscous salad and a hot large latte. The coffee was literally cold, and the salad tasted bland (like no taste at all). It seemed like the salad had been made and kept in display since a long while. Didn’t appear fresh. Would not recommend considering the price they charge for their average food.

High Rollers Bowling & Beer Hall in Banff offers a unique experience with its open-air windows that create a semi-outdoor atmosphere, making it feel like a rooftop venue. It's the perfect place to enjoy craft beers, NYC-style pizza, and the lively sounds of bowling mixed with the buzz of Banff nightlife. The venue is known for its comfortable booths for eating and drinking while playing on the bowling lanes.
I really enjoyed bowling here. It’s a small bowling alley so we made a reservation. We also enjoyed the happy hour wings. The maple soy wings were some of the best I’ve had!

Amazing bowling and 0.59c wings at happy hour. So affordable and amazing service by Katelyn. It was her first day but it didn’t seem like it. Cool, calm collected and so attentive. Thanks high rollers for a great evening!

In town on our cross-Canadia road trip. Headed into High Rollers for some bowling and beers. Such a blast. Good drinks and our server (aka "Winnipeg") was personable and on top of things. Great dude. Oh, and they have great OG video game options. Best to book bowling in advance. Recommend.

My partner and I came for dinner and bowling last Friday night. I didn’t get out waitresses name but she was absolutely lovely and she looked after us from dinner over to our bowling. Great food, definitely a loud environment but that’s to be expected. Definitely want to return when we come back! :)

Wanted to go bowling but couldn't due to it being busy 😭, but the staff was very nice and the building looked amazing, I love the retro look
Austin K — Google review
Gave it a 4 because it’s not a place to come if you take bowling seriously. It’s a super fun place to party, dance, drink, play games, but if you’re a bowler this isn’t the place to come if you’re used to curving the ball and going for high scores. The pins are attached to strings. The ball return ramp is too close to the lane, and the lanes probably haven’t had a machine move over them in years. This is a great place to party, get drunk and have a good time but if you come here to specifically bowl then this isn’t the pace for you.

The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is a luxurious castle-like lodging nestled in the Canadian Rockies. This historic hotel offers upscale amenities such as a golf course, refined restaurants, and a top-notch spa. The well-appointed rooms, on-site dining options including Balkan Restaurant and 1888 Chop House, and recreational facilities like indoor and outdoor pools make it an ideal choice for indulgence.
My wife and I came to celebrate our honeymoon at the Fairmont Banff and selected a fairmont Gold standard king room. We stayed From October 27-November 1st. the moment we hit reception we felt welcomed and cared for. The bellhop was quick to take our bags to the room and guide us to check in. The concierge team for Fairmont Gold was extremely kind and personally guided us from reception to our room. He explained all the services included with fairmont Gold and provided a great rundown of the hotel facilities and restaurant. The Fairmont Gold Concierge helped us plan dinners, activities, and had great advice about how to best explore the nearby parks and sites. The food at breakfast and the evening canapés was generous, delicious, and enough to practically live on during our whole stay. It had different items and never felt repetitive. Even outside of the breakfast and canapés hours we could always count on getting a pastry and tea in the Fairmont lounge. The cleaning team that tidied our room each day made it feel new every time we came back and always left something special like chocolates or a folded towel into an animal. Apart from all that, the hotel itself is located in an exceptionally beautiful area. The Bow River and falls just next to the hotel are incredible and walking the golf course while it was closed for the winter season brought us within 7 feet of a family of deer and other wildlife. The service, the beautiful rooms, the historic feel and charm of the castle, the absolutely stunning setting make the Fairmont Banff perfect.

Booked four rooms for a company retreat. Historical building and grounds but overall well maintained and updated. Housekeeping did enter the room for turndown while I was in the shower which was very evident so that wasn’t great. Dined at 1888 Chophouse and Castello as well as utilized in room dining. Food and service at both restaurants was ok, not great. In room dining was good. VIP service team was amazing! They assisted with transportation, reservations, service requests, meeting supplies, etc. Overall a great hotel I would come back to with a few tweaks.

My stay at this high-class hotel was absolutely unforgettable — a perfect mix of luxury, history, and mystery. The property itself feels like stepping into an old European castle, with grand stone walls, elegant chandeliers, and corridors filled with whispers of the past. Every corner tells a story, and the atmosphere is enchanting both day and night. The highlight? The legendary “Room 873.” Known for its eerie tale of the bride ghost, the room adds a thrilling layer of mystery to the hotel’s charm. Guests still talk about the strange sounds, flickering lights, and the feeling of being watched. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, it’s an unforgettable experience that gives the hotel its unique soul. Service was impeccable — staff were professional yet warm, food was divine, and the view from the tower made me feel like royalty. If you love elegant history mixed with a little supernatural adventure, this castle hotel is a must-visit. A truly magical 5-star experience!

My family has been going to the Fairmont Banff Springs for over 30 years, and it still amazes me every time. The views are unbelievable, the setting is pure magic, and the service somehow keeps getting better with every visit. The beauty of the historical hotel is something I'll never get tired of. The food and drinks never disappoint; everything here feels effortless and top quality. I also love the Le Labo scent they use throughout the hotel. It’s such a subtle but memorable touch. And the sleep here is next level. The beds, the quiet, the mountain air; you always wake up feeling completely restored. I always wish I was staying longer. Truly one of the most special places in the world. The good thing is that I've already got my next visit confirmed!

Even before we checked in, I was impressed with the incredible service provided by the Fairmont Banff Springs. I had called ahead to let them know I was proposing to my longtime girlfriend before arriving. Over the phone, they informed me about the process for obtaining approval for engagement photographs at the hotel, stated that champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries would be waiting for us in the room upon arrival, and were incredibly friendly from the beginning. Upon arrival, James at the front desk was more accommodating, welcoming, and friendly than we could've imagined. He took us on a private tour of the hotel, showed us our room, and introduced us to our Fairmont Gold concierge. James even coordinated pushing our dinner reservations back so we would have more time to unwind in our room before dinner. All in all, James made the introduction of the Fairmont Banff Springs one we'll never forget. Upon returning to the room from dinner, James had left a personalized note with day passes to the spa for the next day, congratulating us on our engagement, in our room. He personally helped make our stay a 10 out of 10 experience. Overall, the staff at the Banff Springs helped make our trip unforgettable, even the Champagne and Chocolate-Covered strawberries in the room came with a handwritten note from Arden on the Royal Service Team. The team at the spa was absolutely wonderful, and even the wait staff in the 1888 Steak House was wonderful. We can't wait to return and make more unforgettable adventures in Banff at the Fairmont Banff Springs
Evan K — Google review
The facility itself is amazing, with wonderful amenities and a friendly, professional staff. However, my experience at the Spa felt different from when I first visited 15 years ago. The masseurs were excellent, and the treatment room was very comfortable, but the main dressing and relaxation areas—and especially the spa/pool area—seemed to lack the same level of attentive service. I noticed towels, robes, and shoes on the floor, wet towels left unattended, and lounge chairs unoccupied with no staff around to maintain the space. The mineral pool was less tingly and bubbly than I remembered, though the view and the massage itself more than made up for it. Overall, the Hotel/Spa experience could benefit from a bit more attention to detail. When spending close to $1,000 for two people, the goal should be a truly seamless and exceptional experience, not was not our case.
Nick J — Google review
We spent several nights, and we were treated so well by everyone we encountered. Our room had exceptional views, and plenty of room for us. The meals and the spa were so above expectations but the teams of staff from concierges to housekeeping to bell staff to servers really made our stay feel like a VIP luxury break! Thanks to all the teams we met. See you again.
Sharlene M — Google review
Our stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of — the service is exceptional, warm, and genuinely attentive in every detail. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel special, and the entire atmosphere exudes peace and relaxation. The setting is breathtaking — nestled in the mountains, with views that feel straight out of a postcard. The rooms are elegant and cozy, and every part of the hotel, from the spa to the dining, is world-class. The spa experience in particular was deeply rejuvenating and truly made us feel pampered. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect, and feel completely cared for, this is it. The Fairmont Banff Springs is pure magic — we can’t wait to come back!

Melissa's MisSteak is a well-established restaurant in Banff, known for its cozy log cabin atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant has been a local favorite for over 30 years and offers a diverse menu, including breakfast until 4pm, lunch options like burgers and sandwiches, and Canadian mains for dinner. The historic building housing the restaurant adds to its charm. While it may feel old school, the nostalgic appeal and upstairs bar with affordable drink specials make it worth a visit.
We came here for lunch on a weekday around 1 PM, and the place still had plenty of seats, which was nice. I ordered the Prime Rib Benny and it was so delicious! Instead of the usual English muffin, they used Yorkshire pudding, which had a slightly crispy shell and a fluffy, buttery inside. The beef was juicy and soaked into the pudding, and with the runny egg yolk on top, everything just came together perfectly🤤 I asked for the shredded potatoes to be crispy, and they came out golden and crunchy, exactly how I like them. My partner got the fish and chips, and we were both really surprised by how big the fish was. It was a whole fillet, nicely fried, and the inside was still moist and soft, not dry at all. Definitely something we’d recommend. The staff were friendly, and the prices felt pretty reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. Overall, it was a really nice experience!

We've been here many times over the years. We know all the food is top notch, the food prices and portions are the best. Our waiter was amazing as well. Its a busy spot but the food comes out quite quickly. Apparently they have the best French onion soup, I never tried it was it was a rave at our table. And those ribs on the appetizer menu are HUGE! We definitely will be coming back

Melissa’s MisSteak in Banff was a great breakfast spot overall! The restaurant was spotless and smelled amazing when we walked in, which made for a really nice first impression. Our server — we didn’t catch his name — was awesome. Super friendly, easygoing, and made the experience better. We had a window seat with a stunning mountain view, which was honestly one of the highlights of the visit. The food was solid. The hash browns were tasty and crispy, and the sausage was okay — not bad, just a bit mediocre compared to everything else. The scrambled eggs, though, were a bit of a mixed bag for me. They were dense, a little gelatinous, and had a strange texture that threw me off. Not terrible, but not my favorite. Overall, I’d still call it an above-average breakfast spot. The service, view, and atmosphere were fantastic, and most of the food was delicious. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 just because the meal wasn’t quite exceptional, but I’d still recommend it if you’re in Banff!

Was our last night for dinner out visiting, and thought a good steak house would hit the spot. It did but I wasn't blown away to be honest. It wasn't bad at all so please dont think im saying that. it was just good not amazing great. Service from tosh was awesome. The reason I gave 4 stars is mashed potatoes seem like something from school cafeteria steak was cooked perfectly but didn't have much flavor, still tender though. The spaghetti squash was delicious. This is Just the experience we received .

We were seated promptly and given beautiful window seats. The waitress ( KIM ) was very knowledgeable and honest…. The steaks and lobster and Yorkshire tail were awesome!!! Great job everyone.

Nice spot for lunch. Service is good and food is great. Came by between 2-3pm so there was not a long wait between orders. I had the buffalo starter, steak and chips main and the brownie for dessert. Worth a visit!
Bradley K — Google review
The steak was delicious, with just the right tenderness that even the kids enjoyed. The side dishes were also very flavorful. The pork ribs were prepared by frying, and adding a bit of lemon juice for seasoning was just right perfect to go with a glass of beer. The lobster was also well-prepared. Next time I’d like to go back and try their brunch.

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Banff Caribou is a stylish yet casual chain restaurant known for its classic steak and seafood dishes. Despite being part of a chain, the restaurant stands out with its excellent food and service. Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes, including baked sea bass, quinoa salad, steamed asparagus, and garlic roasted mashed potatoes. The restaurant also offers belly dancing performances and plate smashing on Tuesdays and Thursdays for added entertainment.
I don’t usually give out 5 stars, but The Keg in Banff earned it. The food was seriously impressive. I had the prime rib sandwich—it tasted like the burnt ends of a roast, packed with flavor and cooked just right. My wife got the oven-roasted salmon, and it was baked to perfection. Even the mashed potatoes were next level—loaded with butter and seasoning you don’t find at most places. Service was fast and friendly, which made the whole experience smooth. They’ve got a kids menu too, which made it easy for us to enjoy a great meal as a family without any hassle. If you’re in Banff and want a solid, satisfying dinner, this place is worth it.
Jason R — Google review
We visited Banff and decided to have lunch at the Keg. Our shrimp appetizer was great, prime rib was more medium than medium well, and the steak sandwich was okay. We’ve had better meals at other Keg’s, but it was pretty good overall.
Peter — Google review
Our tour group stayed here for five days. We had their buffet breakfast. It was pretty extensive, and well stocked. The servers were kind of hit and miss, but it seemed that maybe they were either young or overwhelmed at times. We also had a team dinner here one night, which was fabulous. We had excellent grilled beets and zucchini, and chicken and steak (both of which were done perfectly) and an enormous piece of cheesecake for our dessert. All were delicious. We had a dinner here by ourselves and had the prime rib dinner. This was kind of underwhelming. The bread was excellent, as was the salad, but the prime rib seemed under seasoned. The mushroom rice was also under seasoned. But the crème brûlée for dessert was absolutely fabulous, one of the best I’ve ever had. So, hit or miss sometimes.
June W — Google review
The rice is 80% raw. I don’t think this should happen in a $100/person restaurant. Lobster and the soup are too salty but tasty anyway. The French onion soup shouldn’t be such salty as a starter. Lobster is fresh but the crab legs tastes like from the refrigerator. Steak is great with cute pink inside. If the rice not raw, I would give a 4-star
Yishu Y — Google review
We had dinner at The Keg in Banff, and overall it was a great experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a mountain-town evening. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The steaks were cooked nicely and flavorful, and the sides were fresh and well-seasoned. The only small downside was that the wait time was a bit long, even with a reservation — likely because it’s such a popular spot. Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re craving a quality steak dinner in Banff!
Raymond L — Google review
The service was fine; however, the food was poor. The Keg is usually a safe bet - but not this one. I stole a slab of garlic butter from another dish attempting to give the steak a bit of moisture. The poor cut was abused on the grill :). The mushroom starter and twice baked potato were burnt, not seared. The chicken was also overdone. The butter noodles were a hit for the 6 year old. So $170 for an enjoyable bowl of plain pasta, two subpar meals, and drinks. Would not recommend.
Trevor W — Google review
Popped in here for happy hour, and it does not disappoint. Loved my two drinks, the old-fashioned and a martini. The bartender was great. She took good care of me and got to watch some American football!
Mitch S — Google review
Filet was good, however, shrimp appetizer and shrimp served with my stead was disappointing. The veggie trio served with my steak was a little odd. Service was slow. There was only one server working in the bar at 7pm.

Rundle Bar at Fairmont Banff Springs is a stylish hotel bar offering handcrafted cocktails, beer, and wine with scenic views and live music. Situated in the heart of the historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, it provides one of the best restaurant views in Banff. Named after Mount Rundle, this award-winning bar overlooks the stunning mountainscape and serves signature cocktails like the Mountain Series, inspired by various Fairmont locations across the Canadian Rockies.
We visited Rundle Bar for Afternoon Tea to celebrate a birthday at the end of May. It was a fantastic experience! Here are some key takeaways: - It was a little confusing to find at first, as when you arrive (at the second level), you have to walk into the restaurant, past the bar, to a hostess stand. It’s a hard to see and while there were staff walking right by us, no one guided us through. - That being said, we are very grateful that staff took the time to read our notes that we were celebrating a birthday. The hostess said Happy Birthday and so did our server. Marco was fantastic as our server, going above and beyond, even offering to take photos of us without being asked. You must ask for him if you visit. Somebody give the man a raise! - For those wondering, the view alone is worth going for. 100%. - I will say that service did feel a little bit rushed - it could have been spread out a bit more so we could savour the experience. They definitely bring the food out very quickly! - While the sandwiches were alright (not exceptional), what you are paying for is the experience. Between the sparkling wine, the adorable tea timer, choosing from a variety of teas, and the bite size desserts, it makes for a one-of-kind experience in a historic hotel in Banff. Highly recommend!

This was my second time visiting. Upscale bar venue with signature drinks, extensive variety of other liquor and small food menu. Service is attentive and helpful. Atmosphere quiet, comfortable and a fabulous view of the mountains if you seat yourself near the back. I had a signature drink but it wasn’t very remarkable. I enjoyed the lobster roll and my friend had the hummus dish. She also had the espresso martini- she raved about it. We both really enjoyed our food and it arrived in a timely manner. I was surprised by the portions! Very satisfied!

Arrived after a long day on tour bus. We are staying at the Fairmont, so not interested in going to far. Not hungry enough for a full dinner, so we settled on the Rumble Bar. It's a beautiful space, and the views out the windows are breathtaking. The space is well appointed, but not especially for our party of six. The modern looking tables and chairs didn't lend themselves to being pushed together. We made it work. The drinks and food are overpriced, but you're at a Fairmont. We ordered a couple drinks and sandwiches. I got the Ember Cocktail, and my spouse ordered a Amber Ale. Good choices. We tried a Lobster Roll and Pork Belly Bowl. While we were waiting they brought us some nuts and popcorn. Which was delicious and took the edge off the hunger. Lucky for us, because it took a bit to server our food. The Lobster Roll was okay, but not up to Fairmont standards. It was more of a Maine style, more like lobster salad. And there was more roll than lobster. The Pork Belly very good, warm flavorful, and a good portion. There are plenty of other great places to dine. We won't be coming back to this one.

We wanted a unique experience on our honeymoon and decided to book the tea service. I preface this with the fact my husband and I do not normally eat “this type of food.” Overall the service was unique and very enjoyable besides the few sandwiches we did not enjoy for personal preference. The views are absolutely stunning. The staff here was nice enough to make sure we felt cerebrated during our honeymoon and went above and beyond in this area which was greatly appreciated.

I am not sure if the people give 4.6 on food or the decor or atmosphere. The food was the most awful food one would ever eat. I don't want to talk but people should be aware it will kill their liver with the kind of food they prepare. The management should urgently consider to change.

This place came highly recommended, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and our server, Luke, was a true 10/10. He was friendly, explained the menu clearly, and gave us fantastic service throughout our visit. Everything is made fresh—Luke even prepared the guacamole right at our table, which was such a fun touch. We ordered tacos and margaritas, and both were incredible. The tacos were bursting with fresh flavor, and the margaritas were some of the best we’ve ever had, with plenty of unique flavors to choose from. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for amazing food, drinks, and service!

Very nice spot to grab Mexican food. Guacamole was on spot, handmade in-front of you at the moment! Chips were so crunchy, I had a tortilla soup and was delicious, as well as carnitas and chorizo tacos. I wouldn’t recommend chorizo, try other options. Service was okay since they seemed to be understaffed, but staff did a huge effort to make our experience a good one. Thumbs up to the kitchen staff, Food was in our table faster than our drinks! Will def recommend, approved by a Mexican!!

I think the cooks were having an off night. As have heard from multiple sources that this place was worth going too. Our drinks (a beer and margarita) arrived fast and was good. Server was very friendly. We had 3 tacos and the molcajete which also came out very fast. The taco meat (beef, chicken, pork) was tasty but the slaw underneath was over salted which ruined them. The molcajete bowel sauce also had waay to much salt in it, which made it unedible. Was given a new taco when brought up our opinion. Overall, service and atmosphere was very nice, liked the music, but the food did not live up to my standards for Mexican and the fact that it was unedible due to salt levels.

Quick service. Great happy hour. And Ryan, our waiter, was so friendly and helpful. He helped us find something on the menu that everyone would like and explained the happy hour menu to make sure we got the best deal. We got the salsa tasting (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!) and a jug of the classic margarita. Great experience & great service.

We really enjoyed our visit here! All the staff is very friendly and so welcoming. We tried the pulled beef and crispy fish tacos. The beef tacos were really good but the fish tacos were mostly batter and not so much fish. Also had the molcajete which was also very flavorful only the chorizo was burnt in some spots. Also had the salsa and chips which they do prepare table side and it was very fresh and tasty. Overall it’s not very traditional Mexican food but it was still pretty good. Definitely recommend this spot and would visit again.

Sky Bistro is a high-end Canadian restaurant located at the summit station of Banff Gondola, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains from its third-floor vantage point. The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows and a changing menu that highlights local ingredients such as Alberta beef, British Columbia salmon, and prairie-grown vegetables.
The restaurant is quite budget friendly. It had an amazing view of the mountains and were able to sit by the window. I didn't get the name of the waitress that served us, but she was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and it tasted great. We had a salmon and mash meal. The only thing I didn't quite like was the cocktail. It had too much alcohol compared to the glass size. It all depends on your taste buds, but overall it wasn’t too bad.

After a beautiful nice hike up to the top of Sulfur Mtn my daughter and I worked up an appetite. We made Reservations for her birthday at the sky bistro over a month ago and were happy we did! The food was very delicious, flavorful and tender! Our server, Charlotte was awesome. She was very informative of the menu and gave us her favorites. We had the butter herb bread which is a must! So light and tasty and great pairing with the seafood chowder. The flavors and taste of the soup was amazing. The bacon and the Tobiko made the soup taste so yummy and the tobiko popping in your mouth was a treat! Then we had the Lamb, short rib and Duck. They were all so tender, juicy, flavorful and all the sides with each meat was more than delicious! We had the Semifreddo dessert and a Special chocolate cake they brought for my daughters birthday that were both so tasty and such a treat to the pallet. My daughter and I couldn't pronounce over half of the items on the menu lol but everything we chose and the recommendations from Charlotte were a must try. Make sure you reserve a table before you come here cause you don't want to miss the experience and the wonderful food!! I would def come back to try the other food on the menu!

Going to SkyBistro is not only a dinner time but a whole experience during your stay in Banff. First of all, taking the gondola to go up to the mountain was already a memorable experience. Then getting there and seeing this incredible view from the top was unreal. Plus having the opportunity to even have a meal in the sky/clouds/mountains was just magical. Everything we ordered was perfectly delicious, especially the chowder (I could have had 3 of those, one as a starter, one as a main and one as a dessert - and I am talking seriously here). The bison tartare was also really good. For mains we ordered the bison and the short rib which was my favorite one with a perfectly harmonized flavour. The dessert also was very much tasty and the whole experience was just like a dream. I couldn’t thank enough Matthew for being the best and for taking really good care of us. Everything he recommended was outstanding. He made our time at the restaurant unforgettable for sure. Looking forward to go back there asap. Thanks a million!

Good meal. I had the tomato salad which was excellent. My partner in crime had the other salad which had green apples in it. Apples didn't have much flavor. We shared the lamb starter which was excellent. For my main I had the Lingcod. The fish was wonderful, the sauce was not too my liking. The other main was the short ribs which were delicious. The view is spectacular!

The ride up was amazing and we were very excited to enjoy a special and romantic dinner for two. the room, the majestic mountain views and floor to ceiling windows do not disappoint and we started the evening with a couple of fresh salads. I selected the kohlrabi and apple it was crispy and blanketed in fresh shredded Parmesan cheese the only disappointment was in the paper thin slices of green apple that failed to deliver any sweet punch to brighten up the simple crunch of the kohlrabi. My partner chose the preserved tomato salad which was rich and creamy combination of preserved and fresh tomato s that really packed a punch. We shared the lamb starting and it was truly 10/10. On to the mains - I went with the braised beef rib and my partner selected the Linq cod which we learned was not even cod, nevertheless it was delicious and perfectly cooked unfortunately it was swimming in a charred corn veloute that was absolutely dreadful we had to fish it out of the soupy murky sauce with the dollops of puréed carrot and eat it on a clean side plate to enjoy the fish itself. And The fish was definitely delicious perfectly cook still tender and moist and with a light flavour that reminded us of fresh halibut. I did much better with the braised rib. It was tender and juicy and almost melted in my mouth the rich beef flavour was perfect. Served with crispy parsnip ribbons, roast potatoes and wild mushrooms my only negative - as you can see in the picture, the plate was so heavily sauced it really over powered everything.

Good meal after a hike. Great selection of wines and local beers. The mocktail was also great and tasty. Elle was knowledgeable and detail oriented to make sure our anniversary lunch felt extra special there. Absolutely recommend if you come in the area. I also suggest packaging up (which we did not do due to availability). To my liking the fries were too big and crispy, but the husband loved them. Keep that in mind if you order the burger.

We were in early November and it was not busy at all. We did purchase a promotional package for the restaurant and gondola ride. Highly recommend it. We checked in at the door and they took our bulky coat which is a nice gesture. We had a great view for our dinner. Our dinner was a three course meal that you get to pick a selection from the salad or soup main course and dessert. Our waiter suggested seafood chowder or salad. We each had one. For our main course we pick cod and short ribs. The short ribs sauce were a little too salty for my taste. The short ribs by themselves were great. The cod was fantastic and delicious. There were 2 selections for dessert and we got one of each. See menu that I posted. The restaurant has plenty of seating for 2 people or larger group. I would highly recommend buying the promotional package online and bring the booking since they need to verify it for the gondola ride and at the restaurant. It was snowing and raining and cloudy so the view was limited but still a great view. Love it.

This was a cool experience, taking the gondola up and eating on top of the mountain. Something I have looked forward to for an entire year, so I'm thrilled we were able to do it! The food was great, we got the bison steak ($79) and the short ribs ($65 to die for, delicious - tender - yes!), and the side of the potatoes ($14, mid - no flavor and not warm) for our side. To start, we got seafood chowder ($23) and the bread ($14), both which were great! My only (and I mean only) thing I was disappointed about was the service. Our waiter never gave any refills on drinks, nor did he come back until about 15+ minutes after we were already done eating to ask how things were. The table next to us made a similar comment to ours, and then we then had to wait another 10+ minutes for the check to come. Aside from the mediocre service, everything else was a great experience and I would recommend for anyone to do it while visiting Banff for a fun date night. :)

Great Job, Guys! Fantastic Food! Just wanted to say a huge thank you for a great meal! We had the Paneer Tikka Masala, Soya Chap Masala, and Veg Biryani. Everything was super flavorful, and the quality and quantity were perfect. The prices are very fair for Banff. Wishing you all the best for the future—keep up the great work! We ordered all medium spicy and it was great!!!

I loved the food. Starting off Chicken 56 for appetizer was chicken with delicious curry tomato like sauce. Then the daal lamb curry with rice and garlic naan was amazing. The restaurant felt like a nice normal restaurant and had Indian decor. The food came surprisingly fast. I did notice that one of the waiters had a thumb that was oily and had dried sauce on it. Other than that, this restaurant is very good and worth eating at.

Our favorite Indian restaurant in the Canmore–Banff area! We used to be regulars, but about a year and a half ago we had one disappointing visit and started trying other Indian restaurants. Recently, one of my Indian coworkers said this place is still the best, so we decided to give it another try — and it was absolutely delicious! The portions are very generous, and the food is just amazing. We’ll definitely be coming back often again.

Nice place to eat Beware, the food portions are big therefore please consider I was disappointed that the waiter did to assist whilst ordering the food We order 2 starters which was the size of main course We ordered 2 mains for 3 to share and 1 chef’s special starter. These portions was enough to feed a party of 6 Good flavoursome food,

We dined in during peak hours, and despite the bustling crowd, the experience was stellar! The food arrived hot and fresh. The service was impressively fast.

The food here really hit the spot after a long day of hiking. It was incredible in flavor, we lived the lamb korma and chicken masala curry. The coconut naan was a game changer, I wish I could get this elsewhere in the future!!! The veggie samosa and dipping sauces were a bit bland and the golbi 65 was less crunchy thanI'm used to, but everything else was perfect! I also enjoyed the mango lassi a lot!

I am from montreal. So comparing from the indian restaurants in montreal, the portions here were much larger and the price the same, meaning there was much more food than I was used to. The biryani rice was heaping, and the bowls for the paneer and dahl were longer and deeper. The food was warmed to perfection, rich in texture and flavour, and the chicken was moist and flavourful, not at all dry. As for the service, timely and kind. The atmosphere is lovely, with a clean bathroom as well, and nicely spread out tables. Will definitely recommend this to anyone who goes to Banff!

Me and my girls had a wonderful dining experience at La Terrazza in Banff Park Lodge Our server, Flora, was warm and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. We enjoyed their fresh and flavorful pasta, and the After Sun cocktail was easily the best drink of the evening! A special mention to Executive Chef Santosh Sahoo, who personally ensured we had the best experience. His use of fresh, high-quality ingredients truly elevates every dish and makes this place stand out. And don’t miss their molten lava cake — absolutely delicious and a must-try! Highly recommend this cozy spot for anyone visiting Banff.

I rarely give five-stars but the service and the food at La Terrazza really impressed me. Our server on both nights that we dined at La Terrazza during our vacation in Banff was Ibon Quinoy. He was exceptional, which is not a small task with a family group of 9 individuals! Ibon took wonderful care of us and we really enjoyed his sense of humor. To make the experience even better the food was delectable. In fact the rosellini al funghi was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten on the North American continent. Others raved about their bison cannelloni especially, but all the dishes were scrumptious. The restaurant is rather small, so reservations are recommended. Prices were not out of line with my expectations considering the quality of the food and service in a tourist heavy location. The menu changes with the seasons.

Dinner here was amazing. Loved the Lobster Risotto and Rosellini Al Funghi. The waiter recommended Sauvignon Blanc with the food and it tasted amazing. Atmosphere was very nice, the restaurant is pretty small, but that didn’t affect anything. It wasn't very busy, as there were only two other tables occupied while we were dining. Would definitely come here again.

The food and service at La Terrazza was absolutely amazing. Our server, Flora, was so friendly and helped us pick out an amazing meal (highly recommend the Bison Canneloni) and wine pairings. We continued our night at their bar and we were served some excellent cocktails by Fillip — we really enjoyed the conversation with both Fillip and Flora about their experiences living in Banff compared to their homelands. Such a memorable experience thanks to them both! We will be back for sure!

Evelyn's Coffee Bar is a charming traditional coffee shop that has been a part of the Banff community since 1992. Located on Banff Avenue, it offers a cozy atmosphere and serves an array of espresso drinks, sandwiches, and baked goods. Situated amidst gift shops and jewelers, it provides a convenient stop for grabbing coffee while exploring the area. Additionally, its proximity to Park Distillery makes it an ideal spot to visit after a distillery tour.
An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Banff town centre for great coffee and pastries! My daughter’s name is Evelyn, so this place made her feel really special. The coffee is rich, smooth, and expertly brewed, making it a perfect stop for caffeine lovers. Their pastries are fresh and delicious, pairing beautifully with a latte or cappuccino. The cozy, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make it an ideal spot to relax, recharge, or grab a quick bite before exploring Banff. Whether you’re after a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon treat, Evelyn’s Coffee Bar is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality coffee in a charming setting.

It’s a vibe that all can get down with. Part hipster, part modern, Evelyn coffee bar has outstanding coffee. So much so we came back twice. We got two medium vanilla lattes and of course they did the little design in it! Be prepared to pay for the atmosphere and outstanding coffee. Honestly the best part about this place was the croissants. We ordered two. She got the chocolate one (more like a desert but it had our taste buds poppin) the chocolate was creamy and smooth without it even being heated up. It was like a paste of chocolate smothered inside a crispy crust that was baked to perfection. Just when you think it can’t get any better, if you want to go nuts like me, order the almond croissant. Perfect ratio of thinly sliced almonds across the top, with that gooey paste within. There was not too much, just enough to have you wanting more. The couches are comfy and casual (love the brown leather vibe) but you can also step outside for the view of my favorite mountain in Banff. As always for the bathrooms: I can’t hold it against them because their bathrooms are through the rear exit in the communal mall. I had to go out and go downstairs so they’re quite a bit away away so don’t drink too much coffee and fear of tingling your pants on the journey. For all my loyal review followers I did make that journey, but the cage was locked at seven in the morning. However, they did have a sign pointing me to a secondary location, but I figured that won’t always be the case so we’re leaving the bathroom review out this time.

I’ve been living in Banff for a year and a half, and Evelyn’s Coffee Bar has become one of my regular spots. The coffee is always great, and the service is top-notch. Shubham, in particular, is fantastic—he consistently anticipates what I need and makes every visit a pleasant one. Highly recommend this place!

We tried the salmon bagel and the bread was stale as a rock, the salmon itself was ok but the bread was not toasted or warm, just cold and dry like prison food, the chicken panini was dry like it was microwaved from the freezer, coffee was mid, the iced matcha latte had huge ice cube chunks, the matcha itself was flavorless. One blonde worker has a staring problem, we are just finding our spot and sitting and shes js staring us down, the only good food was the blackberry cheesecake but the ratio was off, like biting a cube of sugar cheese. Only ate the food cuz it was so overpriced.

The coffee was good - I got a cafe mocha with a French vanilla shot - tasted like Kawartha Icecream moose tracks melted, which was really good. Staff seemed to be arguing when we got there and we had to wait like 10 minutes before one of them took our order - that was kind of a letdown. But once I got the coffee, it was all good.

Zyka Elevated Indian Restaurant in Banff, Alberta is a popular spot known for its authentic Indian flavors and extensive vegetarian options. The menu features classic biryanis, street food favorites like pani puri and samosas, as well as heartier meat dishes such as beef korma and lamb saag. A must-try specialty is their tandoori chai, made in their tandoor.
My vocabulary falls short describing how good Zyka was in terms of food, service and the atmosphere. We were roaming around Banff Avenue in search of a nice Indian cuisine and one of my friends who had been at Zyka recommended it to us. As we visited the restaurant, the staff welcomed us with smiles and helped us with a nice seating at a cozy side away from noise. The food we ordered was so delicious that it amazed us. Honestly, we have not had such delicious Indian cuisine since we had landed in Canada and we couldn’t thank them enough for the hospitality. Special thanks to Rahul and the lady who helped us have the best restaurant experience in Banff. I highly recommend Zyka for having Indian food in Banff.

Absolutely delightful experience at Zyka. We ordered mutton curry , chicken curry Mumbai Maharasta style and tandoori roti and garlic naan and the flavors were spot on. The spiciness levels were just right, and the garlic naan was incredibly soft. What truly made our experience stand out was the exceptional service.owner is truly humble and going extra mile to look after customer. The person who took our order was so kind, warm, and had a great personality. Restaurant ambience was absolutely perfect and very well decorated wall and top notch cleanness. Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back and enjoy more of their tasty dishes.

We had a wonderful experience at Zyka! We were attended to by the founder, Mr. Aneesh, along with Jerome and Rithin, who were all extremely friendly and attentive. The ambience was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax after our long day in and around Banff. The food was outstanding, truly one of the best-tasting Indian meals we’ve had in Alberta. Every dish was flavorful and authentic. We’ll definitely be coming back to Zyka the next time we visit Banff.

We had such an amazing experience here! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. Being from South India, I was so impressed with how authentic and flavorful everything was—it honestly felt like a taste of home. We ordered the chilli garlic shrimp, butter chicken, Kerala beef stew, lamb dum biriyani, parotta, and naan, and every single dish was delicious. The biriyani in particular blew me away—it’s probably one of the best I’ve ever had. This place is such a hidden gem, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves great food, especially food with amazing flavor and staff with exceptional hospitality. Can’t wait to come back and try even more dishes before our trip ends!

Absolutely Amazing Indian Food & Service! Five stars for an absolutely perfect dining experience! Our group of three loved every minute. We took the waiter's recommendations for our meal, and they were spot-on: the Methi Chicken was tender and incredibly flavourful. The undeniable star of the show, however, was the Lamb Saag. It was rich, perfectly spiced, and truly awesome—easily one of the best I've ever had. It paired so perfectly with the Garlic Naan that we ended up ordering a second naan bowl just to soak up every last bit of the saag. Beyond the incredible food, the service was top-notch. The waiters were incredibly friendly, helpful, and their recommendations made our dinner amazing. We will definitely be back!

My partner and I try Indian restaurants everywhere that we go as we deeply enjoy the food and culture. Coming into Banff, we knew we had to come and check this lovely restaurant out as we had been eyeing it for a month now. This place exceeded our expectations. To start off, the ambiance gave a very clean yet cozy feel. The food was also top notch and the portions were great. The chicken tikka masala was the best we have had of all the restaurants we have been to. But what really separated this restaurant from the others was the service. The staff at Zyka are extremely personable, and you can tell that they care about the service they are providing. First thing we would like to mention, is that we love the beer called Taj Mahal. We get it at every Indian restaurant we try. It was not on the menu, but our waiter went out of his way to find some in the back for us. They even surprised us with an appetizer on the house. For the remainder of our visit, the staff was extremely attentive and made our experience a memorable one. 5/5, would totally recommend and we would love to come back someday.

First time visiting from US and it was fantastic. Food tasted fresh and deliscious . The medium wings were plenty spicy enough. A+. We will be back. Our server Taylor was good also and let me sample a local beer before I ordered it.

Alright.. this was a very poor experience. From the waitress, to the cooks, to the environment. When we walked into BP’s we waited ~10 minutes for a table. OK, cool, no problem. While we were waiting we were greeted by a MOUSE RUNNING ACROSS THE FLOOR. YES. A MOUSE. (See video) Once we told a staff member while we were being seated, he shrugged it off & said “I don’t know do you want me to catch it?” Like dude, no, I just wanted to tell you there was a literal mouse in the restaurant. Could there be more? Probably. I’d let someone know. After using the washrooms, we were “greeted” by our waitress (Jenifer) who immediately asked us what we wanted to eat. No asking if we wanted drinks (which we did), just straight to the point. I have celiac, and made that clear when ordering our food. Around ~15 minutes later she gives us water, 3/4 with ice one without. Throughout our meal + stay in the restaurant she didnt’t refill our water despite 2 glasses being bone dry the whole time. We literally had to flag her down to get more water which was ridiculous. Once the food arrived, I realized the chefs forgot to put sour cream on my dish (Barbacoa? Bowl). I’m a sour cream fiend and it was one of the main reasons I ordered the food. OK, no problem, I flagged down Jenifer. I let her know, and she goes into the kitchen only to come back and tell me that it’s not Gf. I was like huh? Sour cream? What’s in it that’s not OK? So she goes back to the kitchen, and lets me know that there’s milk + dairy in sour cream. Pardon? I have celiac disease. I can’t eat gluten. I’m not lactose intolerant. If a chef in the kitchen believes that people with celiac can’t have dairy I don’t even know. It’s just incorrect. I get the sour cream. Food was ok. Did our server come back to ask us how it was tasting? No. She ignored us the whole night until we had to flag her down for the bill. FYI it did not look super busy the whole time we were there. I get it. We were a group of 4, tired, high-school girls that came in but that doesn’t mean we get to be treated like crap. We were nothing but polite, and just because you don’t think we’ll give you a good tip doesn’t mean you can treat us this way. FYI had this been a good experience we could have easily tipped well? I would not go back, staff aren’t very attentive/friendly nor caring. Don’t waste your time here.

READ BEFORE EATING HERE! SCAMMY ORDER TAKERS! Intentionally mishearing our order pretending that he heard our order incorrectly just to give us a more orders than our original order. We ordered half rib and he gave is full rib and we ordered wings with free one choice of sides and in the final receipt there is an additional fries order. He even wrote our order in his notepad so it’s impossible that he wrote a wrong order. He probably wanted a larger total amount so the tips will be more too based on percentage. Place is old and untidy. Service is poor and scammy. Food is okay. PLACE IS NOT RECOMMENDED!
Emmanuel L — Google review
I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, which was quite enjoyable and well-prepared. Following that, I had the Thai Bites (x2). When placing my order, I requested extra sauce, but unfortunately both dishes arrived with very little, not nearly enough to properly coat the chicken. This was disappointing, especially since it was consistent across both servings. In addition, the table itself was in poor condition, with noticeable bubbling and even a missing section, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Overall, while some of the food was enjoyable, the lack of attention to detail and the dated atmosphere left much to be desired.
Tyne S — Google review
We went to Boston Pizza in Banff and unfortunately were not very satisfied. When we arrived, there was plenty of seating available, but it took quite a while before someone came to take our order. It then took even longer for the food to arrive, even though the place was almost empty. We ordered the slow roasted pork back ribs, the Smokey Mountain spaghetti with meatballs, and the garlic parmesan fries to share. The fries were overly salty and soft, the ribs were almost cold, tough, and with very little meat – honestly, the side salad was the best part of the plate. To make things worse, the spaghetti was forgotten entirely and only brought after we reminded them. It appeared “ready” within two minutes, which didn’t inspire much confidence. Taste-wise, it felt more like canned pasta with meatballs than a freshly made dish. On top of that, the washrooms were very dirty, which added to the overall negative impression. On the positive side, the servers were all very friendly. But when it comes to the food (and cleanliness), we’d recommend sticking to pizza at Boston Pizza – everything else was disappointing.

A big thank you to Nicholas for making my birthday dinner at 1888 Chophouse truly special! His service was outstanding — attentive, warm, and professional from start to finish. Start to finish, this was a fantastic dinner. The staff pulled all the stops to make sure my brother had a fantastic birthday dinner and I am very grateful for their hard work in the matter. The hostess sat us and gave us some pre-dinner tips (a very nice Aussie girl whose name I neglected to grab, apologies miss!). Our server, Adam, was clearly a seasoned professional with a book-level knowledge of the entire menu and helped my parents, grandparents and brother determine exactly what to get. The bread service was immaculate, crispy rolls with a soft warm center and a nice herb butter on the side. Stellar. I ordered the Duck Parfait as I love liver, and the Bread that came with it, alongside the fruit spread made for a dynamite combination. Very appreciative for the gentleman whose name I neglected to get who assisted in situating silverware and the like. I got the Beef Cheeks, which were prepared Braised pot roast style. Delicious and fork tender, on a nice bed of grits. I used a leftover roll to scrape the Jus up and it was immaculate. For dessert, my brother was given a little piece of chocolate on his Sundae with "Happy Birthday" which was a very kind gesture. I opted for the rhubarb which came out like an upscale stuffed fruit rollup. S-tier dessert. It really is worth to just come here for a meal even if you aren't staying on property. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is kind, and the food is superb.

We came to enjoy a meal after a relaxing day. Our waitress Lauren was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good, the alberta tenderloin was one of the best steaks I have ever had, probably only beaten by kobe steak I had when I visited Japan - but a very different steak to be honest. I couldn't really fault any of the food and it made a very memorable meal to end our holiday. Hopefully we will come back on a special anniversary in future.

Restaurant
Waldhaus Restaurant is an upscale bar and eatery located in a Bavarian-style cottage behind the Banff Springs, offering a Swiss-Bavarian-style dining experience. The restaurant features German-inspired alpine dishes such as bratwurst, sauerbraten, schnitzel, cheese fondue, beef fondue, and chocolate fondue. There's also a pub on the lower level serving brunch on weekend mornings and nightcaps.
Tucked beside Bow Falls, Waldhaus melds Bavarian charm with Rockies elegance. Crisp schnitzels, indulgent fondue, and apple strudel shine amid a rustic setting warmed by fireplace and sweeping mountain views. Attentive, cozy, and steeped in alpine character.
Slava S — Google review
During my stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs, I had the pleasure of dining at this German restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The ambience was warm, inviting, and authentically Bavarian, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for a relaxed meal. The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. The food was generally very good, earning an 8/10, with standout dishes like the perfectly crispy pork schnitzel and flavorful spätzle. While the fondue was just okay, I'd recommend exploring other menu options. Overall, it's a must-visit spot that adds charm to your Banff getaway.

Ate here for lunch after a golf game. Took at least 10 mins before someone came to say hi to us in the patio after being seated by a hostess. View is great. Food tasted great as well.

We had our lunch on the outside patio. Everything that our party tried was simply delicious! The schnitzel with mushroom sauce was top-notch! And the serving sizes were large. The staff were great and very knowledgeable. What a great experience! We shall return!

What a stunning spot for a restaurant. Outdoor space with stunning view. Service was great and food was delicious. I have to say apple strudel was extremely tasty!!

Wonderful experience, our sever was absolutely lovely, perfect view and I believe we had the best table in the restaurant for our meal. My only complaint is that our entrees were a bit cold, but perhaps it was because we spent a long time eating our cheese fondue.

Amazing atmosphere, beer and food! Great servers. We had an amazing time at their Oktoberfest event!!
Gabriel S — Google review
Overall an amazing experience. Highly recommend this location. The food is delicious, fresh and delivered quickly after ordering. The menu has many options available and pricing is good. Service is also quick, and friendly. Staff is warm and knowledgeable. Able to provide insights not only into the menu, and beer selection but also the local area. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning. The location is premium, and has a spectacular view of the mountains and a beautiful running river beside the venue. There is also a fire pit to sit around and enjoy a pint. Interior is warm, and inviting. Highly recommend this restaurant as the food is delicious, drinks are plentiful and the pricing is reasonable. Couple this with the beauty of the location and you have a home run.

Pizzeria Sophia is a delightful modern Italian eatery that truly embraces the comforting classics we all adore. With a chef-driven focus on pizza, pasta, antipasti, and cocktails, this charming spot offers an inviting atmosphere filled with eclectic textures and colors that create the perfect backdrop for your dining experience. After passing by several times, I finally decided to visit Pizzeria Sophia—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
Pizzeria Sophia delivers an outstanding dining experience. The food is absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, with generous yet reasonable portion sizes that leave you satisfied without feeling stuffed. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcome. I’ll definitely be returning! The restaurant offers three seating options to suit your mood: cozy indoor tables, a lively bar area, and outdoor seating during the summer months—perfect for soaking up the sun with a slice in hand.

Pizzeria Sophia felt like an amazing find in Banff! So much so that it felt like one of the highlights of our 4 day Banff trip. We liked it so much that we visited this place two times 😂. We tried almost all of their pizzas. Each one of them is amazing. Will definitely recommend the classic margarita 🤌 Their desserts are to die for. Espresso chocolate mouse was my favourite. The staff is very friendly and polite and will offer you great suggestions! Overall, if you love Italian cuisine, this place is a must visit. Will definitely return here next time im in Banff

I did not expect to encounter such an authentic Neapolitan-style pizzeria in the middle of a tourist town but the chef certainly delivered the goods. The vongole pasta was also expertly prepared with an interesting spicy, creamy and crunchy kick to it which elevated it above the garden-variety stuff people come to expect. Service was also helpful and attentive. Would certainly come again on our next visit.

We came on a Monday night without any reservations and the place was very busy. We still got seated after only a 10 minute wait. Our host was really nice and spent a few minutes talking with us about her hometown in Britain. We had a spicy pepperoni pizza, calamari and Cesar salad. The pizza was delicious! The dough was super airy and light compared to the traditional pizza we have in the States. Very unique texture. The pepperoni was sliced very thin and didn’t taste as heavy either. It was spicy so beware if you don’t like spice. Cesar salad was good. Huge portion. The only thing that we didn’t enjoy was the calamari. It was very greasy so the texture of the calamari was terrible. You could still see the grease on the plate. Took only a few bites…hence the four star review. Definitely recommend if you’re craving some pizza. Great cozy little spot!

Amazing food and friendly staff!!! If you're visiting Banff, definitely give this place visit!!! We ordered the Squash Blossom pizza and Rigatoni Alla Vodka pasta. Both dishes were delicious and well made. I rarely write reviews on Google maps, but this place definitely deserves a 5 star review. Will definitely visit this restaurant again if I end up visiting Banff again 😍🙌🏻

This pizzeria was very good. My daughter and I enjoyed the food, ambiance, music and the service was excellent. Jane, our server, was super nice and friendly. We got there during happy hour the prices are good and the drinks were tasty! We had to cut our pizza with scissors which was pretty interesting and a different experience. We enjoyed this place and would def Recommend and come back to taste the pasta!

We tried the Salsiccia & Potato and Margherita pizzas — both were outstanding! I can confidently say the Margherita was one of the best I’ve ever had, and that’s coming from someone who has enjoyed pizza at some of the world’s most famous pizzerias in Italy and New York. A trip from Calgary to Banff is always amazing, but honestly, even if you came just for the pizza at Pizzeria Sophia, it would be totally worth it. The flavors, the crust, the freshness — everything was spot on. Highly recommended! 🍕👏
Mohammad K — Google review
The pizza crust here is incredibly fragrant and flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the fried chicken was—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The sauce was especially memorable and suits the Asian palate very well. A great spot for anyone who enjoys Asian-inspired flavors! 炸雞真的特別推薦!

Conveyor belt sushi restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Sushi House Banff, also known as Sushi Train, is a small and unique Japanese restaurant that offers a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes. What sets it apart is the model train that delivers the food to diners seated at the bar-style seating for up to 18 people. The train circles around a chef who prepares the dishes right in front of guests. Despite its small size, this cozy sushi bar surprises visitors with its quality and reasonable prices.
The sushi was absolutely amazing! Nothing overly fancy, just really delicious and beautifully presented. We especially loved the little train that brings the food around – such a fun and unique touch! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. My son and I ate to our hearts’ content and left feeling very happy and satisfied. He even said we had to leave a review – so here it is! A big thank you to the owners and all the staff for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and serving such tasty food. We’ll definitely be back!

Many parents brought their kids to try the food, and I saw lots of fun parent-child interactions. The server from Hong Kong was very friendly, and the chef worked quickly, ensuring no one went hungry for long.
Adele L — Google review
Real sushi fan (and picky) so scoured the reviews and found this tiny gem downtown ! Cosy decor gives an authentic feel - as if I were in Japan. The lady sushi chef was charming and she even gave me an extra piece of maguro (usually two pieces per serve, she gave us three) after I made my orders in broken Japanese 😅. The sushi is prepared in front of you, the rice is still warm and hand rolled (not from a mould), the hamachi/ scallop/ octopus are tasty as if from home (they said sourced from Japan), salmon is not sockeye but still tasty, red tuna came from a sealed pack. The rolls are perfectly pressed, not too hard. We ate around 14 items and were really full, altogether under 120$. That’s cheaper than the other restaurants we have tried in Banff. Will come again after brushing up on my Japanese !! Also many varieties comparable to any sushi shops back home.

Your trains are in an unacceptable state of cleanliness. This reflects poorly on your company and, more importantly, poses potential health and safety concerns. You need to take immediate action to clean and maintain your trains. If this is not addressed promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter to Transport Canada’s Rail Safety division.
Bradley W — Google review
This place is not to be missed! The sushi is fantastic, the train is awesome, definitely an experience you should not pass up. We went for lunch today on our way out of Banff, on our way to Lake Louise, and we are already planning to come back in a few days on our way back home! It was all good, but the spicy scallop, atomic tuna, eel sushi, and scallop sushi were outstanding. The staff was super nice and we can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful experience! the food is delicious (I loved the sushi train), the service is amagazine, you can see the chef doing the meals and he cares if everyone is enjoying the meals or if you want any sushi of the menu, he can prepares it asap. I will definitely come back!

The Evergreen Restaurant & Lounge is a luxurious hotel restaurant with an elegant and formal atmosphere that can be hit-and-miss, but is consistently good provided you like formal fine dining and can look past the rather dated decor. The menu has a variety of locally sourced regional recipes.
I recently celebrated my brother-in-law's birthday at Evergreen Restaurant, and the experience was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, our server, David, was attentive and made us feel special. He ensured that every detail was taken care of, enhancing our dining experience. The dinner, crafted by the chef, was nothing short of sumptuous, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Plus they gave us a piece of pastry with a candle which added a personal touch that made the celebration unforgettable. Overall, the combination of attentive service, delicious food, and thoughtful surprises made for a memorable occasion. I can’t recommend Evergreen Restaurant enough and will definitely be returning for future celebrations. Thank you, Evergreen, for making our night so special!

A was a little unsure of visiting this place after seeing some of the negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. We went here twice for breakfast. The parfait was delicious. The next day I had omelette, which came with little fried potatoes and toast, and that was lovely too. We made a last minute decision to go there for dinner, they squeezed us in without a reservation and we enjoyed our meal. The spinach spaetzel was recommended as a side dish by our waiter - a slightly odd dish, but delicious and very moreish! The staff were friendly and helpful. I couldn't fault it really. You don't get the same views as some of the other restaurants in Banff. Other than that I thought it was a lovely place to eat.

EXCEPTIONAL FINE DINING EXPERIENCE This restaurant consistently delivers outstanding dishes that keep us coming back. On a previous visit, we enjoyed the Atlantic Salmon entrée, complemented by cheesecake and a meringue with blueberries, all paired with hot coffee. The meal began with freshly baked buns served with oil and balsamic vinegar, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience. On our most recent visit, we enjoyed the “Saskatoon Berry Pie”, which was nothing short of excellent. The specially prepared ice cream by Chef Rodrigo was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the pie. SERVICE & STAFF The service here is always top-notch. David (C.R. / C), our server, was attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring, ensuring our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. The staff consistently provide warm and professional service, making every visit memorable. ATMOSPHERE The restaurant offers a relaxed, quiet, and welcoming environment, which was especially appreciated after a long day of hiking in the mountains. The atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for both cozy dining and special occasions. CLEANLINESS & PRESENTATION The restaurant is immaculately clean, with a well-organized and beautifully presented dining area. Tables are neatly set, and the attention to detail in both food presentation and restaurant maintenance enhances the overall experience. FINAL THOUGHTS This restaurant remains one of our favorite fine dining spots. The exceptional food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere make every visit enjoyable. We have never been disappointed with either the food or service!

I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, if you not sure what to have in Banff, dine here! The New York steak and sirloin were cooked perfectly, just how we ordered them - medium-rare and delicious. Don't miss out on the amazing carrot puree—it was absolutely delicious!👍🏻😋 The mussels were also fantastic, especially with the bread. You can really taste the freshness! The restaurant atmosphere is perfect for gathering and enjoy a relaxing evening. Big thanks to Chef Ruslan!

Food was delicious - steak a little overdone, lamb shank was spot on. Unfortunately service was probably some of the worst I have ever had. It took over half an hour after ordering to get our drinks, and over an hour to get food. Waiter basically hid from us and I had to walk around the restaurant to find him and ask where our food was - the only interaction we had with him in 70 minutes was bringing drinks over. Requested to see manager when food finally arrived and was told he would come over. Half an hour later and asking 2 different people the manager was still too busy to see us. Could see him serving one person at the bar so clearly just felt he was too important to come over. Was quite impressed with the balls on the waiter when he put the card machine in front of me and it had the ‘how much would you like to tip’ screen up.

Great food here! Everything made from fresh produce. Try the Elk, Bison or beef burgers for a real big treat. We also tried the specialty of the house which is the 3 course Elk Short Rib meal. Had it with the housemade Cream of Spinach and it was delicious 😋 And the chocolate mousse foe desert was sweet enough! They make a good Old Fashion and great Mimi to with fresh mint. Would recommend anytime if you love great food!

Was going back to the GTA so decided not to go out for breakfast anymore (was staying at the Royal Canadian Lodge). I was offered the $25 buffer breakfast, but I opted for ala carte instead. I order the Classic (2 eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast). I ordered the eggs over easy but got them well done/partly well done. I told the server and she did offer to change them, but I didn't want to waste food so I just stuck with them. The sausages were unusually hard and rubbery, like they either cooked them from frozen or they were just really old. I don't know how good (or bad) their other offerings are, but I'd say avoid the Classic breakfast. All in all this was a disappointing last meal in Banff.

Nestled beside an Irish pub in the heart of Banff, Saffron Indian Bistro is a delightful haven for lovers of traditional Indian cuisine. This cozy restaurant invites you to indulge in a diverse menu that goes beyond typical North Indian fare, featuring everything from mouthwatering chicken dishes to flavorful keema. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the tantalizing aromas of exotic spices that promise an unforgettable dining experience.
We went with very less hope and weren’t very sure after our awful experience at another Indian restaurant but we were pleasantly impressed with their flavorful food . Also The place was neat and clean washrooms . We ordered Vegetarian thali , different kulchas , samosa chat , tikki chat and paneer tikka , everything was delicious. Vansh was very kind and friendly and took good care of us .We had promised to go back next morning for the paranthas and Cholley bhature but our plans changed and we couldn’t go back . But we hope to go back on our next trip to Banff . Good luck to team Saffron for their commitment towards quality and delicious food.

I was here for a quick pick up for samosa chat and vegetarian hakkah . Both were very tasty and reasonable . Wasn’t sure if the meat was halal here so I didn’t risk of having anything to do with chicken or meat. The interiors are great ! The staff is nice to provide us with the certificate of halal but since it didn’t have the restaurant named mentioned I wasn’t sure. Veg stir fried noodles -8.5/10 Veg samosa chaat - 9/10 Ambiance -10/10

This place has incredible food. Truly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The spices are so authentic and the naan is a must have. I really wanted to give 5 stars but the reason I’m giving it 4 is actually more of a business recommendation. They only have booths that can hold up to 6 people. To me this seems like a bit of a water of space where they can fit so many more people. Most booths only had 2 people in them. If I were them, I would do one side booths, the other tables for 2. This would increase traffic greatly. Overall amazing food.

While the location is certainly a plus, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The food was average in taste, and the service did not meet even basic standards, making it difficult to justify a higher overall rating. The atmosphere inside also lacked the charm or comfort one might expect — I wouldn’t rate it any higher in that regard either.

Saffron Bistro in Banff and were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. It turned out to be a great spot for delicious Indian food at a reasonable price point, especially considering it’s located in a busy tourist town like Banff. Food: Every dish we ordered was flavorful and freshly prepared. The Baingan Bharta was smoky, well-spiced, and had that authentic homestyle feel to it. The Rosemary Naan was a unique and delightful twist on the classic — soft, aromatic, and a perfect accompaniment to the curry. We also tried the Jeera Rice, which was fragrant and cooked to perfection, and paired really well with both the Bharta and the other dishes. What surprised us was the variety on the menu — they also serve Hakka-style noodles, which were tasty with a good mix of veggies and the right amount of seasoning. The chaat was tangy, crisp, and refreshing — a great starter to kick things off. Portions & Price: The portion sizes were generous, and given the touristy location, we found the pricing very reasonable for both the quantity and quality of the food. It’s a great value-for-money option in Banff if you’re craving Indian flavors. Ambience & Seating: The restaurant also offers patio/outdoor seating, which is a big plus, especially during warmer days. Dining with a view of the surrounding mountains added to the overall pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and service was timely. If you’re visiting Banff and in the mood for Indian cuisine that won’t burn a hole in your wallet, Saffron Bistro is definitely worth checking out. Good food, satisfying portions, and lovely outdoor seating — it hits all the right notes.

We had a chance to dine in at Saffron in July 2025. Super awesome Indian (typical Punjabi and I do Chinese) food at very reasonable price, served quickly instead of being sooo busy. All the server girls and the owner, are so humble, polite and were going to every table to make sure that customers’ needs are met on time. They served a perfect meal to end the hectic day at Banff. The place is not that huge but still quite spacious. Would come back any time! Btw, we ordered onion pakora, butter chicken, daal makhni, paneer lababdaar, veg hakka noodles, mango lassi, naan and rice. Sorry, the pictures were taken when we have already started eating. Mango lassi is THE BEST, we had so far at various Indian restaurants, both quality wise and quantity wise!!!

Banff Social is a recently renovated spot on Bear Street that aims to capture the essence of Banff's local culture and community. The staff are engaging and create a welcoming atmosphere, while the food receives high praise, particularly the lamb kabob. The restaurant features a unique menu with fresh ingredients and flavorful dishes not found elsewhere in Banff. It offers a quieter setting with a great patio and friendly staff, making it an accommodating choice for both vegetarians and meat lovers alike.
After a long drive from Kamloops, I was really looking forward to a good meal. I visited Social for dinner and had a fantastic experience! Although I'd seen other reviews mention cold food, my burger came out hot and was delicious. The side of tomato soup was also really good. My only small critique is that the burger could have used just a little more sauce. The Strawberry Smash cocktail was a real highlight. It was so refreshing and perfectly balanced; I could have easily had a few more! The service was perfectly fine; my server was friendly. I'll definitely be back for sure one day when I'm in town.

We went here after we went to the visitor center, and the lady behind the desk recommended this place for dinner. We were at the in-between time so we basically had the whole place to ourselves. We sat inside, but they had a nice balcony that you could sit out on on the second floor. Service was amazing. He even talked to us for a while since we were one of the only tables there at the time. Food was absolutely delicious. My mom had the chicken sandwich. I had the bison burger I believe. One of the best burgers ever! If I’m ever in Banff again, I will definitely go here again.

Banff Social has a great atmosphere with lots of energy, perfect for a night out in Banff. The food overall was enjoyable, and the cocktails were excellent. We tried the bison sirloin steak – while it was well-prepared, it was a bit too tender for my taste. Service was friendly and attentive, though it can get a little busy at times. Overall, still a solid spot to enjoy good food and drinks in a lively setting.

Good food and service. We didnt get Sam however,Jesse was just as awesome! We had the fritters, olives, goat cheese something with bread for apps and the elk steak, tomato soup and Salmon for entrees. None of them disappointed but none stood out either. Most drinks were fine except for the old fashioned that was a complete miss! All in all a good choice for a Father's day dinner! Food-4 Drinks-4 Service-5.

It's my first time in Banff and I'm severely celiac - gluten allergy. Which makes finding a safe place to eat a bit tricky. But from the moment we walked in, all the staff was so welcoming and so sure they could accommodate me. In total, we interacted with 4 of the staff members. I was nervous, as I always am, as not everyone in past restaurants have really understood the challenge. But this team was exceptional, especially our server Pattie!!!! Matt and the management team are very lucky to have her on staff!!!! Pattie explained that even though less gluten free options were listed on the menu, they could modify many of the dishes to be safe. And she explained exactly how they would modify each dish when I wanted additional assurance they understood. I had the pasta dish (modified) to start, and then I had a gluten free & vegan chocolate mousse for dessert. Both were delicious!!!! And I did not get sick so that means they did a great job keeping me safe. I went with 4 friends who don't have allergies, and they all loved their meals. Pattie was so attentive, proactive offering things before we asked, regularly checked in to see if we needed anything else, didn't rush us at all when we took a bit of extra visiting while eating our desserts. At every opportunity, you could tell she was looking for ways to make our experience as special as possible. What a great place to celebrate my birthday. And the atmosphere & ambience itself of the restaurant itself was beautiful. We felt like VIPs from beginning to end! Thank you so much Pattie & team!!!

Hankki in Banff is a Calgary-based Korean restaurant located on Buffalo Street, offering affordable and delicious Korean food. The menu features popular items like corndogs with options like mozzarella sausage combo and the 'ugly potato,' which is coated in potatoes. Customers praise the great prices, quick service, and incredible flavors made with fresh ingredients. The Korean BBQ cupbop and honey butter fries are highly recommended dishes.
It was a great restaurant in Banff town with reasonable pricing. For about $15 or under of a rice bowl, I got plenty of food. We came on a Sunday during lunch time and the restaurant was crowded, but we didn't have to wait for a long time to get the food. Food was fresh and tasted delicious! They also sell dessert, which I didn't try but they looked good! Will definitely come back again and try their dessert!

Good fast food. Small area with little seating inside, but there's a long bench along the outside under an overhang. Seems to be quality fresh ingredients. I liked the glass window into the small kitchen area so you can see your meal being put together. We tried the level 1 spicy sauce which had a bit of a bite. Depending on how hungry, one large bowl was good to share for two. All the rice is at the bottom, so mix well if you don't want to finish with just rice.

Went here on a Tuesday night. Ordered 2 bowls and some honey buttered fries. The bowls were quite tasty and good value. The fries were a little strange since they had a sweet taste to it. Could not finish the fries. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Then got a mango bingsu for dessert which was delicious! Would definitely recommend this place. Tastes very authentic.

I urge you to open a branch in Vancouver, BC.We had a great experience at Hankii! Tried the spicy chicken rice bowl, mozzarella corn dog, and ended the meal with their mango milk shaved ice for dessert—everything was delicious!Big cheers to kitchen people. Big thanks to Joshua for being so helpful and friendly throughout our visit. One small suggestion please put a welcoming and friendly person to take orders. Thank you

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual hangout. The food is absolutely amazing—every dish is flavorful and beautifully presented. Great service and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy delicious food. Highly recommend

I've seen ads about KBBQ in a bowl before but never managed to find one in person. While stopping in Banff I found this place and knew I had to try it! The concept is super simple but the food is delicious! I got the combo bop with Kbbq and Chee bop. I wanted to get a second bowl but I stopped myself. I Definitely check this place out if you're a fan of K BBQ

Very good food taste and quality. Must try if you are in banff. Their Honey and Butter french fries were very unique and amazing.

First time being here was intrigued by the interesting Korean bowls! The hankki bokki was amazing with sweet and spicy sauce and soft rice cakes and the spicy chicken and Korean bbq meat was so flavourful! I recommend this place for cheap and delicious food

Amu -Ramen Bar- is a cozy Japanese kitchen located on Banff Avenue, offering a variety of noodle soups, rice bowls, and Japanese snacks. The restaurant has a low-key ambiance and friendly staff. It's known for its delicious ramen variations and monthly menu features. In addition to the tasty food, they also serve smooth Japanese beer from the Kiuchi Brewery in Japan.
Slurp-Alicious!!! Trust me and try this place out to see how good it is. This is the BEST ramen I have ever had, hands down. I literally cannot explain how tasty the spices and broth are. I really like the minced tofu which works really good also. Staff are really friendly and nice, it’s a very cosy joint and even better, one of the cheapest (and the best) food joints in Banff. We found this whilst on a road trip out of town and it beats everything West Coast I have eaten outside of Japan itself within reason. Please open a restaurant in Vancouver ASAP!! Adam from Van.

Why is the best Ramen place in Alberta in Banff? We love ramen and tried almost all of the hole-in-the wall places in Calgary and Edmonton, and Amy Ramen Bar is by far The Best in the province. Located inside a strip mall in Banff. You have to be there early cause they only have a limited seating capacity (around 8-10). Price wise, it’s expensive considering a bowl only consists of broth, a little meat and noodles. That’s it. You have to buy the extra egg, chasu pork, bamboo shoots, nori, etc. I ordered the Miso TanTanmen without additional toppings, and it still the best I’ve had so far! Noodles has a firm texture, their miso broth was creamy delicious with just a little spicy kick, ground meat was just enough to not overwhelm the bowl or the flavour of the soup. I finished the entire thing in just 5 minutes and seriously thought of trying the other broths. Service was amazing and fast! They also have mini Japanese groceries inside such as Kewpie mayo, Pocky snacks and more. Definitely coming back next time!

EDIT- Call before you go if it's an hour before closing. Showed up at 1815 on a Tuesday on 05/09 and they were closed for the day even though sign says open till 1900. First off this place does not have any signage that is visible from Banff avenue. You'll find it at 199 Banff- which is Kirby Lane mall entrance. Just go through the doors and walk straight downstairs. This is bar seating with a counter that allows maybe 10 persons total. So if it's busy you might have a bit of a wait. Staff is friendly and took our order quickly. I had the Tan Tan ramen which was pretty good. My GF had the shoyu paitin(?) ramen which was really good. The noodles were perfectly done. For reference I live in Hawaii and we have lots of very good ramen shops and I've been to Japan and had tons of ramen there as well. Is this "the best" nope. But you're not in Japan are you? So make do with what I would consider top 3 I've eaten outside of Japan. Price is about 16 CAD for their ramen with extras all adding to that, mushrooms, egg, char shu etc can really add up fast so be aware. They do have a web site so you can see the current base price there.

My mind was blown away when I first stepped in into this ramen place, the lady running the whole shop all by herself alone!! (Taking orders, cooking, serving, washing dish) It’s not easy!! I tried the Shio-paitan and my friends tried the Shoyu-paitan and the miso tan-tan. The broth was sooooooo good, I felt so warm and cozy especially after the visit to the Banff Gondola. I also had the nikumiso-kimchi bowl, it was a bit expensive while it’s only a small bowl of rice ($13.80) compare to a bowl of ramen ($17.80) But it’s tasty. I didn’t get the chance to try the beer, they are all Japan imports, I might want to try the Yuzu Lager if I get the chance again. *last tips* Don’t go in with big groups, 4 is maxed. And please be patient for being seated since it’s a “One-Man-Show”.

This place was amazing! Was not expecting to find such great ramen in somewhere like Banff. We got the shoyu paitin and the curry laksa special and they were both so rich and flavourful. I love rich creamy ramen broth and this hit the spot. I also think this is great value for Banff and comparable to ramen from Vancouver. Great service as well, thank you!

1/28/22: Today was very cold and having ramen this delicious made it wonderful. There was two of us. Only 4 at the bar when we arrived. Bar sits about 12. I ordered the miso tan tan and my dining partner order the laksa. The noodles are spot on. Cooked al dente with a nice bite. Both broths were full of flavor and a bit spicy. Highly recommended. They have a little corner of Japanese snacks and beverages. If you love Japanese Kit Kats, they have them!
Darnell K — Google review
Find it a little hard to locate as there’s no signage outside.. it has a little space inside a establishment. But it’s all worth it. Satisfied my ramen cravings after a cold winter activity. Probably the best ramen there is in Banff. It’s clean and service was fast. When I’ll come back to Banff I will definitely try some more of their ramen in the menu!!!
Queen T — Google review
We were in Banff for the weekend and were craving some Ramen. We found this spot, and it was reviewed very well. We ended up going with the vegetarian options, as we can’t have pork. Surprisingly it was a great broth, despite being all vegan. This particular ramen bowl is called Miso Tan Tan. The noodles tasted great and the broth was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone that can’t have pork broth. Follow us on Instagram for more stuff! @eatityyc

Nestled in the pine forests of Tunnel Mountain in Banff National Park, Buffalo Mountain Lodge offers a cozy and rustic mountain retreat just minutes away from downtown Banff. The lodge features 108 rooms and suites with wood-burning fireplaces, heated bathroom floors, and some with balconies or terraces. Guests can enjoy the peaceful setting, two onsite restaurants, a hot tub, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Our one-night stay at Buffalo Mountain Lodge was truly beyond expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and charm. The lodge has that perfect rustic-meets-luxury vibe, nestled in the heart of the mountains with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The room was cozy, beautifully designed, and the fireplace added such a romantic, relaxing touch. Every detail—from the comfort of the bed to the quiet surroundings—made for a perfect getaway. We only stayed one night, but it left such an impression that we’re already planning to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable mountain retreat.

Stayed here for 2 evenings. Loved the room, it was quiet and backed onto the forest. It was terrific to have a wood burning fireplace, particularly since it was fairly cold in the evening. Check-in was fast and easy, all staff were lovely. My only suggestion would be to replace the chunky metal room keys with cards, it's definitely more convenient to slip a key card into a wallet then to fumble around with a big metal key. Otherwise, everything was perfect and we'd definitely return.

First comment… Jonah, the barman in the main restaurant area, honestly superb. Great conversation, knew what drinks we would love, full of recommendations, friendly. We honestly looked forward to a few drinks at the bar after a full day! Bedrooms spacious, fire place, balcony, stunning place. If you want a lodge experience with luxury this is the place. Great AC unit in the room which we thought wouldn’t be enough but did a great job. Our room looked out onto the road and the noise didn’t effect us at all, can hardly hear anything, although no matter where you are you can hear the train horns! Which is great! Huge shared hot tub. we finished every night with a hot tub and walk back! 15/20 walk into town, or a bus stop right outside. We only stayed 4 days and were up at 5.30am and finishing at 10pm. Everything we needed and would highly recommend. We came last week of September, weather was 20c 2 days with sun and rain the other.

We had an amazing 1 night stay in one of the lodges, an upgrade from the lovely team. Super friendly, efficient and competent staff. Very comfortable lodge with everything you need. One thing i would add is complimentary bottles of water but apart from that it was fabulous. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.

What a beautiful place this is. We did a roadtrip from Vancouver to Calgary and this was our favourite accommodation. The room was lovely and cosy with a massive bathroom, 2 comfy beds, vaulted ceiling and a gorgeous open fire - which was pre-prepared for lighting. We had the best meal of our trip in the restaurant and the views from our room were stunning!

Great stay! The staff was wonderful — we even got a free upgrade to a spacious suite with a kitchen. They kindly washed our dishes and tidied up after we rushed out early for a shuttle. Only small downside: the soundproofing isn’t perfect, but overall we were very satisfied.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay here. It was great proximity to everything we were doing while in Banff. We had amazing drinks at the bar(great Bartenders) and even better breakfast. The only thing we wished we had done was get in the hot tub. Was too crowded when we tried to go.
Roxanne D — Google review
The staff were friendly and responsive. The location is beautiful, the resort is clean and well looked after. The room was clean but absolutely not sound proof. We heard our neighbors well into the night. The do not disturb sign on our door was completely ignored twice in a 20 minute span one morning. For the money, I am not sure i would return.

Ramen restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Chaya is a charming Japanese restaurant located on Banff Avenue, offering a bustling atmosphere and a diverse menu of Japanese classics. Despite its small size, it's a local favorite known for its delicious ramen and other affordable rice and noodle bowls. The Tan-Tan Ramen is particularly popular during cooler weather. While seating can be limited, the cozy ambiance adds to the experience. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and reasonable prices, making it a great spot for a satisfying Japanese meal in Banff.
Loved this! We were looking for a budget restaurant in Banff, and this hit the spot! The food is amazing, staff is super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Would come back 😁 Also no waiting time for a table and food was there within 10-15 minutes. We both ate Udon Noodles, which were super good. Based on the texture, I’d say they’re handmade!
Ludmila G — Google review
Came here after hopping out of the queue at another popular ramen shop after someone yelled "Chaya is much better" at us. We were hungry and didn't feel like waiting so off we went. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with extra noodles and some gyoza to start. The gyoza looked promising because they had that "webbing" but everything was soggy, as if they pre-cooked some and microwaved it or something. Especially suspicious because it came a short few minutes after ordering... The tonkotsu broth was simultaneously thin and overly salty. It honestly reminded me of the Nissin black garlic tonkotsu instant ramen. There's also no egg on the menu :( The servers were cheerful and fast so no complaints there. Skip this place if you are looking for ramen... I ignored the other reviews because "tastes like msg" and "too salty" are often written about my favourite places by people who seldom eat ramen but in this case, I wish I heeded the warnings 😬
Grace H — Google review
Its a small space so they only have a few tables and its pretty tight too. There's usually a line outside but once you get in and order, they work quick! Had our order for 3 people ready in under 10 minutes. Reasonable price compared to other restaurants in the area.
Lois M — Google review
Really nice staff! Really wonderful food! The noodles had a springiness you won't find elsewhere. Some people will use noodles from other countries of origins and call it a day, but not here! This was really fresh. Plus the Toppings:Noodles:Broth ratio was perfect! 👌🏻 Their Onigiri was the super traditional way, but there was a lot more rice to fillings, but the soy sauce helped. Glad I came early enough. Because the crowds built up quickly after.
龔振勝 — Google review
Came as a group of 10 and they were able to seat us very quickly! Food was awesome and came out quick! Filling and worth it. Would highly recommend :)

A hidden gem in Banff! Chaya is an awesome little ramen shop that totally exceeded our expectations. It’s a small place with limited seating, but the service was excellent, fast, friendly, and super efficient. We lucked out and walked in just as a table for four opened up, but honestly, it would’ve been worth the wait anyway. The ramen was flavorful and comforting, perfect after a day of exploring Banff. If you’re in town and craving something warm and delicious, don’t miss this spot!
Potter H — Google review
Came here for a solo lunch and ordered the spicy dan dan ramen. The broth was rich, flavorful, and especially comforting on a cool day—perfect for warming the tummy. Prices were reasonable, especially for a spot in a touristy area. Service was gentle, attentive, and friendly, adding to the pleasant dining experience.
