Distillery
PARK Distillery Restaurant + Bar is a trendy spot in Alberta, offering small-batch spirits and gourmet comfort food in a rustic setting. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu of rotisserie and wood-fired grilled meats, along with unique dishes like cheese and whisky fondue and cornflake pulled pork fingers with maple whisky and bacon dipping sauce. Their cocktails are top-notch, reflecting their expertise in crafting spirits. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a free distillery tour to enhance their experience.
This was honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Canada, and without a doubt it served the best bison burger I have ever had. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful, with that unique richness you only get from bison meat. It was truly outstanding and absolutely worth the visit on its own. The restaurant also has its own line of alcoholic drinks, including gin and vodka, which I found really impressive. The gin had a pleasant bitterness balanced with fruity notes, which made it refreshing and unique. Along with that, we enjoyed a well-prepared salad, tasty beer, and a memorable pepper soup made with their vodka that stood out as something special. The atmosphere of the restaurant is another highlight. It has a vibrant yet comfortable vibe that makes the experience even more enjoyable. We were seated on the patio, which had a lively and welcoming energy. Unfortunately, the inside was full and we couldn’t get a table indoors because the restaurant was very busy. My recommendation: if you plan to visit, make sure you reserve in advance. It’s absolutely worth it. For me, this place was a top dining experience and I would call it one of the very best restaurants I’ve tried in Canada.

Make a reservation if you have a group bigger than 5. We had 8. Food was delicious. Reasonably priced for Banff. It was busy. A bit squishy to get around, as you are pretty close to the other tables. Sauces were fresh. Service a little slow as it was so busy! Loud, but it adds character to the atmosphere of the distillery. Bathrooms could be a tad cleaner. Overall, I enjoyed it immensely. This was my last time traveling to Banff. It is so overcrowded. No parking available. I like little stress as possible, and the town was insane. Too busy for me and the family.

Came here twice during our visit to Banff, we came back the second time not only because it was a neat environment however the staff was very friendly! It was truly a good experience and consistent both times! Came here the first night for drinks and the bartenders were very personable and friendly! The drinks were good too, so all around we had an excellent experience. Then on Sunday we got engaged and came here for dinner after our lake tours and had another good experience! The food was excellent, yet again the drinks were good and the environment great! They distill and make spirits here and it’s just a cool spot! We throughly enjoyed this place and the bartender gave us a celebratory shot after hearing of our engagement! We will be back during our next visit and know it’ll be the same!!! Thank you

Food was good. The bbq sauce is amazing. Had the gnocci and was good but not enough. Also had the rotisserie chicken and the gravy was cold. Drinks were half price in happy hour and good. Live entertainment also really nice

Amazing vibes! Such a cool place to go for a quick sit down with appys and omg you have to try the hard root beer 10/10 new favourite cocktail! The hot spinach dip was so creamy and yummy and our waitress J.A. Was amazing. She remembered us and made sure we felt right at home! Thank you for the amazing experience. Your establishment is amazing and such a cool place to visit!!

Food so good we went twice while on vacation! This is a great lowkey spot with excellent house made spirits. Lunch special was totally worth it and the cornbread appetizer is really as good as everyone says. Great atmosphere, location and service!
Michelle H — Google review
My girlfriend and I stopped at park for lunch with the dogs. We were seated out in the patio right away. Our waiter Sam was fantastic. We split the meat platter and there was nothing left really good. The observation peak cocktail which I had was fantastic very Smokey and smooth! Definitely a great spot to sit relax with a drink and people watch
Christopher K — Google review
My group the spicy rigatoni, salmon, chicken and the truffle fries. Everything was delicious! I also had a good Mexican draft beer and Moscow mule cocktail. The cocktail seemed light on alcohol however. We sat outside with a nice view of the street and mountains.

Brewery
Banff Ave Brewing Co. is a large 2-storey brewpub offering a variety of ales by the glass or growler, along with a menu featuring burgers, steaks, pasta, and poutine. The brewery uses top-quality wheat and barley grown in Alberta, which are also the region's primary exports. With glacial fresh water from Banff's taps, they produce award-winning beer. Additionally, the establishment participates in events alongside other Alberta craft breweries.
Stopped in to try the local beer options in Banf. This brewery is a fun place! The staff was friendly and efficient. The black IPA was very good. The place was in a feather mood due to the hockey playoffs. We didn't eat but the food looked good. Overall it was a fun experience.

Great spot for fresh beers, Ride or Dry was my favorite! The smash burger was goooood. The hot chicken sandwich could have had more seasoning / sauce. It was pretty dry. The servers were friendly, the vibe is great. Would recommend.
Sarah K — Google review
I’ve eaten here many times over 14years and usually love the food. But tonight we ordered takeout through an app, and my burger came with this awful rotten piece of lettuce! I don’t mean wilted from being in the box, but yellow & brown patches from it being days or weeks old! It was disgusting to find rotten food in my freshly ordered meal!!!
Kirsten G — Google review
A little late to review but better late than never! On a weekend trip with my mom and sister I insisted we go to Banff ave brewing as it is a favourite of my husband and I. We previously had a lot of the fancier restaurants booked for dinners. We popped in at opening for lunch and we had such a fantastic meal. My mom ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and she said it was the best “burger” she has ever had and that the fries were absolutely perfect. I ordered a regular burger and have dietary restrictions, our server Jeremiah was so helpful and just overall a wonderful server. He was attentive, funny and knowledgeable. The nitro pina colada was killer. Thank you for a wonderful time as always.
Ken M — Google review
This is a fun brewpub with an excellent selection of permanent and rotating beers on tap - the tasting selection of 6 beers is the way to go. It was fully packed out when we visited owing to the Melissa’s Road Race crowd but were still well served despite longer than usual waits for drinks and food. A good, convenient and causal pit stop for some drinks and grub on the main drag.
John L — Google review
Stopped into Banff Ave Brewing and had the 12-oz Wild Warden (Raspberry Rhubarb Sour 6.2%) which was a really good beer that I would have again. This was a nice brewery with more draft options than the Three Bears Brewery nearby. Unfortunately the 2nd floor seating at the balcony lookong out onto the street had all seats taken, otherwise, that seemed like a really nice spot to enjoy a cold beer on a warm day.
Ketan P — Google review
We ate outside and was dog friendly. They have daily specials and we tried the fish and chips with poutine fries and the cauliflower app. Everything was fresh and crispy, super tasty. Tried some various beers they had on tap which were great. Def recommend if you are in town.

Cool place, good staff, accommodating of our baby, tasty beers and food. The reason this isn't a 5 star is everything was good, but I wasn't blown away by anything. Definitely worth a visit.

Hello Sunshine Sushi & Karaoke is a unique restaurant in Banff that combines the ambiance of a ski lodge with a Japanese karaoke bar. It offers a variety of Japanese cuisine, including sushi, ramen, and barbecue, as well as creative options like Cheeseburger Gyoza and Crispy Nori Chips and Dip.
Chicken ramen is a 10 out of 10. The garlic broth felt warm and comforting. The gourmet California roll was just okay for me. What I liked the most was the dine-in environment. It was very cozy, and the decor and color scheme were really pleasant. The service was excellent, and the staff kept smiling throughout the entire visit.

Love the decor - the restaurant is really modern and has lots of natural light from the street-facing window. The hostess was friendly and we were seated quickly even though it was a weekend. The menu is small but has a bit of everything. Everyone enjoyed their food. Our favourite dish was the scallops which were absolutely phenomenal, but was prepared completely differently from the description in the menu. They also do karaoke in the evenings, but we didn't have a chance to try it.

A great final dinner to cap off our time in Banff. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is friendly. I forgot to write a note down for her name, but special shout out to our awesome Kiwi/Aussie server who was serving across the restaurant and making drinks. She was great. We ordered a lot of the menu. Highlights included the Chicken Karagge, A5 Wagyu (which they have a very good price on and the chef cooks perfectly), and the Maui Wowie rolls which were 50% off for happy hour ($6.70 USD for a set of 8 sizeable rolls is a steal in the US). They have great Pork Bao buns here, and I tried bites of the Chicken Teriyaki and the Lobster Fried rice, both of which are stellar even though they weren't my main. If you're coming here for value, slam a bunch of the half price Sushi for happy hour. If you want to try a bunch of stuff, just order a bunch of the amazing Apetizers. Everything we tried was great.
Noah D — Google review
Definitely a new favourite spot in Banff! The service is friendly and quick, and even on a weekend the restaurant was not too busy, although a reservation is recommended. During happy hour, select dishes like some of sushi is 50% off and they did not disappoint. The Maui wowie roll is tropical and the fresh tastes fresh. The pork tonkotsu ramen is flavorful, the egg is soft in the center, and the noodles are cooked well. As a person preference, the pork was too fatty but that doesn’t take away from the 5-star experience
Chloe L — Google review
Dining at this Japanese restaurant was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by a serene atmosphere filled with the calming scent of freshly cooked rice, miso, and grilled seafood. The interior design was elegant yet minimal — soft lighting, clean lines, and subtle Japanese décor that made the space feel both peaceful and inviting. Every detail reflected authenticity and care, setting the perfect stage for what turned out to be a truly memorable meal. The food was exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented, almost like a work of art, and every bite captured the true essence of Japanese cuisine — fresh, balanced, and full of umami. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with perfectly seasoned rice and fish that melted in my mouth. The ramen had a deep, flavorful broth that tasted like it had been simmered for hours, rich and comforting with perfectly cooked noodles and tender slices of pork. I also tried the tempura, which was light, crisp, and golden without being greasy — exactly how tempura should be. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were attentive, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu. They explained the ingredients and even recommended sake pairings that complemented the flavors beautifully. Every interaction felt genuine and respectful, staying true to the warm hospitality Japan is known for. It’s rare to find a restaurant that combines authenticity, quality, and atmosphere so perfectly. Whether you’re craving sushi, ramen, or simply a quiet evening filled with exquisite flavors, this place delivers beyond expectations. I left feeling satisfied, relaxed, and excited to return. Truly, this Japanese restaurant deserves all five stars — a hidden gem that captures the heart of Japan right here in town.

Came here on our first night in Banff and ended up coming back on our last night as well. Was able to walk in without a reservation both times, but it does get busy! The vibe is awesome—think SF meets Japan meets ski town. I love that they have all the dietary indicators on the menu since I am someone who has to be dairy free. Highly recommend the non alcoholic matcha colada for the drink. This dishes we loved so much that we ordered them both times were the dragon roll, the shishito peppers, and the chicken karaage. The nigiri was fresh and delicious as well. Would highly recommend!
Tricia S — Google review
What a crazy cool unique place! We sat at the fireplace table which seats other couples, all around a huge, shared, round fireplace. We enjoyed being able to talk to the people next to us. The waiter was friendly and offered great food suggestions. We loved the unique flavors and atmosphere. The Beef Tataki was incredible!! Really a cool place to eat at, especially if you love Asian fusion.

High Rollers Bowling & Beer Hall in Banff offers a unique experience with its open-air windows that create a semi-outdoor atmosphere, making it feel like a rooftop venue. It's the perfect place to enjoy craft beers, NYC-style pizza, and the lively sounds of bowling mixed with the buzz of Banff nightlife. The venue is known for its comfortable booths for eating and drinking while playing on the bowling lanes.
I really enjoyed bowling here. It’s a small bowling alley so we made a reservation. We also enjoyed the happy hour wings. The maple soy wings were some of the best I’ve had!

Amazing bowling and 0.59c wings at happy hour. So affordable and amazing service by Katelyn. It was her first day but it didn’t seem like it. Cool, calm collected and so attentive. Thanks high rollers for a great evening!

In town on our cross-Canadia road trip. Headed into High Rollers for some bowling and beers. Such a blast. Good drinks and our server (aka "Winnipeg") was personable and on top of things. Great dude. Oh, and they have great OG video game options. Best to book bowling in advance. Recommend.

This place was awesome! Hannah took care of us at the bar and we had a great time. Make sure you hit up happy hour for $5 pints!

I visited because it was Wing Night with my colleagues. I loved that the wing was fresh and crisp! I had a great time.

My partner and I came for dinner and bowling last Friday night. I didn’t get out waitresses name but she was absolutely lovely and she looked after us from dinner over to our bowling. Great food, definitely a loud environment but that’s to be expected. Definitely want to return when we come back! :)
Nakita A — Google review
Wanted to go bowling but couldn't due to it being busy 😭, but the staff was very nice and the building looked amazing, I love the retro look
Austin K — Google review
Gave it a 4 because it’s not a place to come if you take bowling seriously. It’s a super fun place to party, dance, drink, play games, but if you’re a bowler this isn’t the place to come if you’re used to curving the ball and going for high scores. The pins are attached to strings. The ball return ramp is too close to the lane, and the lanes probably haven’t had a machine move over them in years. This is a great place to party, get drunk and have a good time but if you come here to specifically bowl then this isn’t the pace for you.

Cave and Basin National Historic Site is a significant landmark in Canada, as it was the birthplace of the country's national parks system. Discovered by railway workers in 1883, this site offers interactive exhibits that showcase Canada's network of protected places. Visitors can take guided tours of the original cave to learn about its history and culture, including lantern tours for an after-dark experience.
Staff is Very Friendly! They invited and showed us how to play hockey games even in the cold weather, and explain the situation of the ecological environment in the Basin. We had a lot of fun there!Thank you! The trail along the site is also recommended! It is a winter wonderland ❤️
Yuan Y — Google review
The Cave and Basin National Historic Site is an interesting place to visit, especially if you’re into history and learning about the origins of Canada’s national parks. The cave itself is unique, and the bubbling thermal waters are cool to see. However, the site is relatively small, and there isn’t a ton to do after you’ve explored the main features. Worth a visit if you’re nearby.
Abdullah S — Google review
This is a great park and exhibit area. There are some really cool signs before entering the cave inside which was amazing. Beware that you need to duck, and it really smells bad. Walking up to the springs on the hill is also really cool. Another great thing here is the Marsh Trail. This is a well rounded and unique and cool experience.
E B — Google review
It was an amazing experience visiting this place and reading about how the national parks came to be in Canada. So much information is shared in the exhibits. The hot spring cave was pretty amazing to see as well. The exhibits and displays conveyed a great story of how the site was formed and how it was converted to a national historic site. Definitely recommend visiting the place with kids and helping them understand a bit of history of the land these national forests came to be from.
Srivalli Y — Google review
This is worth a visit if you have time. The museum provides interesting information about the local First Nations people, as well as the later discovery of the site by European settlers. The location is stunning, and there are trails you can walk: a short and easy marsh boardwalk with information boards about the local wildlife; a longer marsh trail; and a significantly longer route to Sundance Canyon. Use the marsh trail & loop back on the first part of the Canyon route for a decent circular walk. Use your insect repellant! (Fearsome mosquitoes).
Chris W — Google review
It was neat to see the old cave and pools, but there wasn’t much else there and the admission price is more than triple what it was years ago. There was a short video played on the screens, but not very informative. I will say, though, all the staff were super friendly and very eager to assist. Good people.
I S — Google review
Cave and Basin National Historic Site is a hidden gem in Banff that offers both a beautiful and educational experience. The site is incredibly clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasure to explore. The natural surroundings are stunning, and the historic significance of the area adds an extra layer of interest to the visit. If you’re a new Canadian citizen, don’t miss the opportunity to use the Canoo app to get a free pass to this historic site. It’s a great way to dive into Canada’s rich history without any cost. The site provides a fascinating look into the origins of Canada’s national parks, with informative displays and exhibits that help you understand the importance of this location.
Tarsan A — Google review
It was very impressive. It smelled amazing because it smelled so strong. It seemed like a miracle that there was a creature like a snail here. It was believed that this sulfur hot spring was really good water for healing. If there was a private spa, I would have wanted to experience it, but unfortunately, only public baths existed.

The Bison Restaurant in Banff offers a unique dining experience with its focus on seasonal Canadian cuisine prepared in an open kitchen. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced meat and produce, including bison, venison, and duck. Executive chef Brendan Robson showcases his culinary expertise by creating contemporary classics such as bison short ribs, venison striploin, and bison breakfast sandwich.
This was one of those very special dining experiences that we'll talk about for quite some time. The food was absolutely extraordinary. Our server was really wonderful and took great care of us. The atmosphere was great. We tried many of the different foods and then shared dessert and it was absolutely perfect I had the braised bison short rib and keep remembering how good it taste it. I had the cucumber salad but forgot to take a picture of it, it was really really wonderful. Six out of five stars would highly recommend

We have dined here several times over the years and am so happy to have made it back as they have not missed a step at any point and remain our favorite place for fine dining here n town. Simply yum. A thoughtful menu that changes over time for new surprises to discover, with a solid wine menu to pair as u prefer. I love the authentic Caesar and the duck was absolutely divine w the added twist of the confit and that savory yet oh so light broth. Service was top notch once again. Reservations recommended for sure. Enjoy, explore, enjoy some more.

This was our second trip to The Bison and it was just as phenomenal as our first experience two years ago! We absolutely loved the bison short rib and duck during our first visit but wanted to try something new this time. We thoroughly enjoyed the Caesar salad, steak frites and crispy fried chicken!! The flavors along with the textures and contrast was on point! We loved our server, Maria! Thanks for taking such good care of us! Lastly, all of the drinks we have tried (cocktails and wine) have been fantastic too. We will be sure to come back for round 3 the next time we visit Banff!

We managed a last minute reservation for a party of three. We'd been hiking (scruffy but not smelly or covered in mud) and the dining room was upscale but relaxed so we didn't feel out of place. We ordered the Bison Tartar, Venison Steak, Duck, and Spare Ribs... Maybe one of the best meals of my life! I especially loved the venison and I usually hate it. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone interested and will definitely be going back

The Bison Restaurant in Banff absolutely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the warm rustic atmosphere and mountain views set the perfect tone for dinner. The service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We tried the bison tomahawk, and it was phenomenal — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of rich, smoky flavor. Every dish was beautifully presented and made with fresh, local ingredients. A truly memorable dining experience in Banff — highly recommended for anyone looking for top-quality Canadian cuisine in a cozy yet elegant setting!
Raymond L — Google review
I love the presentation of our dinner, however, I found the appetizer is quite unbalance. It is overly seasoned that masked the flavor of the main ingredients. We requested outdoor seating because we had our dog with us. Sadly, it is extremely cold- no heater or whatsoever, which is strange! So i would suggest against it. The food is good but not exceptionally good, hence, 4 stars since I think it is overpriced.

Dined here several times now and consistently delicious. Good cocktails and friendly service. Second floor covered patio is a nice feature in the summer.

The Bison was, far and away, the best meal we had in the Banff area. Every dish we ordered was superb, but the bison tartare was for sure the standout. The grapefruit cocktail also was one of the better cocktails we've had in a really long time. The tomato tarts were perfect, and so was the burrata. The staff were super friendly and charming, and made the whole experience wonderful. Couldn't recommend enough!

Block Kitchen + Bar is a trendy and lively spot in Banff, offering a diverse selection of small plates with an Asian twist. This relatively new addition to the dining scene has quickly gained popularity for its tapas-style menu featuring influences from Izakaya and other Asian cuisines, all made with locally sourced ingredients.
Great experience overall, with couple items falling short but the rest carried. Loved the ahi tuna, nice light entree with a great slaw. The bone marrow and the fried chicken app should not be skipped either. Chicken was crispy and moist, and sauce it was tossed in good. The creme brullee dessert was absolutely fantastic, we ordered a second one after finishing the first. Rilletes and ribs not so great, would pass on those. Tokyo fries delicious to share. Small restaurant so there can be a wait.

Saw the reviews about the ramen curry and had to try it. It was incredible! There were a lot of toppings in it, so much flavor and it was a good portion. My bf got the thai curry mussels w pita bread. He said they might have been the best mussels hes ever had and cleaned the bowl 😅 We both agreed we could have gone without the tiramisu brownie dessert. The top has caramelized sugar, middle is a tiramisu cream layer, and the bottom is brownie. It was unique but not amazing. The service was good, the waitress always came by at a good time. This place is so small, it probably seats aorund 20 people at once. Super cool place! Wish I could have tried more things cause everything sounded so good.

My husband and I had dinner at Block on our recent trip to Banff and WOW was it amazing! We've been coming to Banff for 10 years and I cannot believe this was the first time we tried it. Everything was so delicious from the karaage chicken to the lettuce wraps to the dumplings and even the dessert. We also got a side of the in house kimchi and it was 10/10. Our server was also wonderful and treated us so well! I would highly recommend block the next time you're in Banff, especially if you like tappas style food!

Food was very good! We had the bison burger, duck poutine and matcha cheesecake. Great service! Would definitely come back to try more of their dishes.

Initially came here to try out their duck poutine and curry ramen but unfortunately it was only available on their lunch menu and we came for dinner. Luckily the two dishes we got instead were really good. To fill our duck craving we got their duck spring rolls rich had the perfect crunch paired with an incredible dipping sauce that I’ve never had with spring rolls before. Extra points for the presentation! My girlfriend has never had bison before so we went with the smoked bison & pesto flat bread. We both enjoyed it and I think every ingredient on it was great and worked well together. If I’m ever back in Banff I’ll be sure to come back and try their lunch menu.

Nice small restaurant in the heart of downtown Banff. Very good food and friendly staff. Prices are a bit high but it’s worth. Food was delicious and portions were big.

Our server was one of the most attentive servers ever! Amy maybe? She was On top of it! Nice high-top outside on a beautiful afternoon. Had a bottle of the Montrose Rose ($58) paired with Three Dips & Nann ($14) that was a tasty treat and delicious! Hard to choose a favorite. Next were the Wagyu Beef Gyozas ($17) and the beef was so tender inside. Fantastic! Finished with a Vegan Bao ($8.75). Never had one before and jury is still out on the Bao but it was packed nicely and veggies were fresh and tasty. Make this a stop! You won't be sorry.

Three Bears Brewery & Restaurant is a unique and inviting spot in Banff, designed to make you feel like you're dining in the heart of a forest. The wood-lined interior is adorned with wildlife statues and features a 25-foot pine tree, creating a cozy atmosphere.
The food here was pretty good, a bit on the pricey side. We ordered the French onion soup, the wings and the mac n cheese. I really enjoyed the wings, they had so much flavor and the French onion soup hit the spot on the rainy day that we went. The mac n cheese was not bad, but a bit on the mild side for flavor. Service was great, all the staff were super friendly and there was plenty of outdoor seating so we could sit with our dog.

We had an amazing experience at 3 Bears Brewery! On our second visit, we were served by Eloy, who was absolutely fantastic. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the staff handled everything with such professionalism and genuine friendliness. It’s no surprise this place is always packed — they have their own crafted beers that are simply a must-try! The food was also incredible, and every bite was worth it. Kudos to the owner and manager for running such a well-organized and welcoming establishment. We’ll definitely be back!

We came here for dinner and were seated upstairs. The space was beautifully decorated with a stylish bar and a glass roof that let in lots of light — and closed up nicely when it got chillier outside. Service was perfect. Our friendly waiter guided us through the (beer) menu, which was much appreciated. They brew the beer locally, and as Belgians we were very happy to finally drink good, affordable beer abroad. Even better: it wasn’t just affordable, it was really tasty too! We tried the pilsner, a fruity seasonal, and the mango IPA. For mains, we had a pepperoni pizza and mac ’n cheese. The pizza was basically more pepperoni than pizza (not necessarily a bad thing), but the dough was solid. The mac ’n cheese was tasty and definitely filling.

We visited a brewery restaurant in downtown Banff after seeing the good Google reviews. Since the weather was nice, we sat on the patio. We ordered a pale ale, mushroom pizza, and the beef tenderloin. The beer was smooth and tasty, and the food overall was quite good. The steak was more tender and flavorful than expected, though the prices were on the higher side. Service was friendly, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious with two floors. It’s not right on the main street, so it felt quieter and more relaxed, which we really enjoyed.

We stopped into Three Bears tonight on our second trip to Banff. We regret not coming here for dinner sooner! Our server Macy was wonderful. Very friendly, funny, great customer service, made great cocktails and was very accommodating to our requests and vegan guests. All staff we encountered were kind and welcoming. Food was amazing, o.s. they aren’t kidding about the crust, sooo good! and the maple old fashioned is a must try. I highly recommend stopping in!

Check out the Happy Hour here. Everything was pretty good. Was really surprised about how good the mac n’ cheese was. The whole entire place is photo worthy. There was also live music. Don’t miss this place when you visit Banff

I visited this place with my family on a Saturday afternoon. Although it was a bit crowded, the wait time was surprisingly short thanks to the spacious interior. The decor is vibrant and nature-inspired, with beautiful displays featuring animals and greenery, it gives the space a warm, energetic vibe. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into creating the atmosphere. The service was excellent; our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. There was also live music playing, which made the experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, every dish we ordered was delicious. We had the 7-cheese pizza, perfect for cheese lovers, the Caesar salad, which was fresh and flavorful, and the Alberta bison ribs, a local specialty that was tender and rich in flavor. The cheesy waffle fries were also a hit, crispy and loaded with flavor. I tried the Pinery Pilsner beer, which was crisp, refreshing, and paired well with the meal. An extra fun touch: they also sell their own branded merchandise, which adds to the charm and personality of the place. I definitely recommend this spot for its great food, excellent service, fun vibe, and unique atmosphere.

Really happy with our experience at Three Bears. Hugely busy, so glad we got a reservation! The beer was wonderful, and the environment was perfect. We got a chicken sandwich and a pizza to split. The chicken sandwich was great, and the pizza was quite tasty, too. We did wish the cheese had been marbled a bit more at a higher temperature, but no real complaints. Definitely recommended!

Añejo Restaurant is a Mexican eatery located along Banff Avenue, offering a vibrant atmosphere and an extensive selection of tequilas. The restaurant is known for its happy hour specials from 3-5pm and 9pm-1am daily, featuring half-price tequilas, margaritas, and some beers. Guests can enjoy freshly made guacamole served with warm tortilla chips while sipping on well-crafted margaritas like mango and guava.
Añejo Banff has consistently been our go-to restaurant, and it never disappoints! The food is absolutely amazing, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The customer service is top-notch, making every visit a delightful experience. A special shoutout to their wonderful manager, Jennifer, who goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly and guests feel welcomed. The ambiance adds to the charm, creating a perfect setting for any occasion. Kudos to the entire team for maintaining such high standards! Highly recommend!

This place came highly recommended, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and our server, Luke, was a true 10/10. He was friendly, explained the menu clearly, and gave us fantastic service throughout our visit. Everything is made fresh—Luke even prepared the guacamole right at our table, which was such a fun touch. We ordered tacos and margaritas, and both were incredible. The tacos were bursting with fresh flavor, and the margaritas were some of the best we’ve ever had, with plenty of unique flavors to choose from. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for amazing food, drinks, and service!

Very nice spot to grab Mexican food. Guacamole was on spot, handmade in-front of you at the moment! Chips were so crunchy, I had a tortilla soup and was delicious, as well as carnitas and chorizo tacos. I wouldn’t recommend chorizo, try other options. Service was okay since they seemed to be understaffed, but staff did a huge effort to make our experience a good one. Thumbs up to the kitchen staff, Food was in our table faster than our drinks! Will def recommend, approved by a Mexican!!

I think the cooks were having an off night. As have heard from multiple sources that this place was worth going too. Our drinks (a beer and margarita) arrived fast and was good. Server was very friendly. We had 3 tacos and the molcajete which also came out very fast. The taco meat (beef, chicken, pork) was tasty but the slaw underneath was over salted which ruined them. The molcajete bowel sauce also had waay to much salt in it, which made it unedible. Was given a new taco when brought up our opinion. Overall, service and atmosphere was very nice, liked the music, but the food did not live up to my standards for Mexican and the fact that it was unedible due to salt levels.

Quick service. Great happy hour. And Ryan, our waiter, was so friendly and helpful. He helped us find something on the menu that everyone would like and explained the happy hour menu to make sure we got the best deal. We got the salsa tasting (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!) and a jug of the classic margarita. Great experience & great service.

We really enjoyed our visit here! All the staff is very friendly and so welcoming. We tried the pulled beef and crispy fish tacos. The beef tacos were really good but the fish tacos were mostly batter and not so much fish. Also had the molcajete which was also very flavorful only the chorizo was burnt in some spots. Also had the salsa and chips which they do prepare table side and it was very fresh and tasty. Overall it’s not very traditional Mexican food but it was still pretty good. Definitely recommend this spot and would visit again.

Melissa's MisSteak is a well-established restaurant in Banff, known for its cozy log cabin atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant has been a local favorite for over 30 years and offers a diverse menu, including breakfast until 4pm, lunch options like burgers and sandwiches, and Canadian mains for dinner. The historic building housing the restaurant adds to its charm. While it may feel old school, the nostalgic appeal and upstairs bar with affordable drink specials make it worth a visit.
We came here for lunch on a weekday around 1 PM, and the place still had plenty of seats, which was nice. I ordered the Prime Rib Benny and it was so delicious! Instead of the usual English muffin, they used Yorkshire pudding, which had a slightly crispy shell and a fluffy, buttery inside. The beef was juicy and soaked into the pudding, and with the runny egg yolk on top, everything just came together perfectly🤤 I asked for the shredded potatoes to be crispy, and they came out golden and crunchy, exactly how I like them. My partner got the fish and chips, and we were both really surprised by how big the fish was. It was a whole fillet, nicely fried, and the inside was still moist and soft, not dry at all. Definitely something we’d recommend. The staff were friendly, and the prices felt pretty reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. Overall, it was a really nice experience!

We've been here many times over the years. We know all the food is top notch, the food prices and portions are the best. Our waiter was amazing as well. Its a busy spot but the food comes out quite quickly. Apparently they have the best French onion soup, I never tried it was it was a rave at our table. And those ribs on the appetizer menu are HUGE! We definitely will be coming back

Melissa’s MisSteak in Banff was a great breakfast spot overall! The restaurant was spotless and smelled amazing when we walked in, which made for a really nice first impression. Our server — we didn’t catch his name — was awesome. Super friendly, easygoing, and made the experience better. We had a window seat with a stunning mountain view, which was honestly one of the highlights of the visit. The food was solid. The hash browns were tasty and crispy, and the sausage was okay — not bad, just a bit mediocre compared to everything else. The scrambled eggs, though, were a bit of a mixed bag for me. They were dense, a little gelatinous, and had a strange texture that threw me off. Not terrible, but not my favorite. Overall, I’d still call it an above-average breakfast spot. The service, view, and atmosphere were fantastic, and most of the food was delicious. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 just because the meal wasn’t quite exceptional, but I’d still recommend it if you’re in Banff!

Was our last night for dinner out visiting, and thought a good steak house would hit the spot. It did but I wasn't blown away to be honest. It wasn't bad at all so please dont think im saying that. it was just good not amazing great. Service from tosh was awesome. The reason I gave 4 stars is mashed potatoes seem like something from school cafeteria steak was cooked perfectly but didn't have much flavor, still tender though. The spaghetti squash was delicious. This is Just the experience we received .

Nice spot for lunch. Service is good and food is great. Came by between 2-3pm so there was not a long wait between orders. I had the buffalo starter, steak and chips main and the brownie for dessert. Worth a visit!
Bradley K — Google review
The steak was delicious, with just the right tenderness that even the kids enjoyed. The side dishes were also very flavorful. The pork ribs were prepared by frying, and adding a bit of lemon juice for seasoning was just right perfect to go with a glass of beer. The lobster was also well-prepared. Next time I’d like to go back and try their brunch.

Bear Street Tavern is a rustic and laid-back hangout located on Bear Street in Banff. It's known for serving thin-crust pizza and Canadian pub grub, along with a variety of craft beers on tap. The tavern offers a casual rooftop and street-level patio where visitors can enjoy their meals. Despite not having an extensive pizza menu, the quality of their pizzas is highly praised.
This place is really nice to have a lunch or dinner. I ordered Baked chicken wings and big bird pizza and I literally had best pizza of my entire life. It was so fresh and yummy that we ate 2 and packed 1 for dinner. I also loved their patio set up and they have those little heaters with fire on the table which kept us so warm on a chilly day. Me and my friends spent great time there. Our server was also really good and she had good recommendations for us sadly I don't remember her name now. But overall it was an amazing experience.

Great spot for pizzas and pints. We prefer sitting at the bar to better explore the ample bier offerings w the help of the friendly and knowledgeable bar keeps. The salad I had(see pic) had a delightfully light and zesty dressing, not overdone at all. The pepperoni they use is definitely a spicy blend which I prefer and cuts well w the salty cheesiness. The margherita pizza was nice but I really prefer more of the fresh sweet Italian basil w it to pair w the acidity and spice of the red sauce, but that’s just me. Glad we dropped in once again to enjoy the warm and lively atmosphere.

A very nice eatery in Banff, that has a great patio and as with a lot of restaurants in town, is also pet friendly. The staff was very accommodating and patient with our party of eight plus dog. The pizza and wings were great, though the Cubano was a bit too sauce heavy unfortunately, though still tasty. Overall an excellent experience.

Ended up coming twice during our trip to Banff because the pizza was so delicious and the vibes were perfect for after a long day of hiking. In our two trips we had the pepperoni pizza, elk pizza, and pineapple pizza all of which were fantastic. We also shared a French onion soup and the shrimp Bao; the shrimp Bao were very yummy but portions were a bit tiny for the price. The special beer was a boisenberry variant which had a lovely tang and acidity. Also tried the maple old fashioned which was very much on the sweeter side. Highly recommend!

We were able to eat at the bar with no reservation on a Friday night. Our bartender was super welcoming and offered great suggestions. We had two pizzas, but easily could have shared one. The unique chili oil and honey dipping sauce is amazing!! Great pizza choice if you are in Banff!

The restaurant is modern and beautifully designed, perfectly fitting Banff’s mountain theme. There are several seating areas across multiple floors, both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere is inviting, relaxed, and full of local character. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious, clearly made with quality ingredients. We ordered the elk pizza — creative and well-prepared. Personally, I might choose a different one next time, only because the elk flavor was subtle, more of a hearty protein addition than a distinct taste. Still, it was enjoyable and well-balanced. The French onion soup was outstanding — rich, flavorful, and just right for a cool day in Banff. The mozzarella and toasted bread were perfectly done. Overall, a great experience — wonderful service, good atmosphere, and food that reflects care and craftsmanship. “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) Keep doing what you do with excellence and kindness — it truly makes a difference.

Tied for the best meal I had on my two week holiday across Western Canada. And certainly the best lunch by far! We stopped in Banff on our way back to Calgary from Jasper to see the town one last time. We had quite a bit of time so we decided to have lunch and the place we picked wasn’t open until dinner time. The Bear Street Tavern was next-door. What a lucky surprise?! We sat in the courtyard outside and it was charming. The team waiting on us couldn’t be more pleasant or helpful. It’s not a huge menu, which we actually quite liked and I had the Tavern bowl, which was a super tasty kale based vegan salad. I had a chicken because I’m not a vegan, and this salad was incredibly good. The dressing with sublime, the taste and balance of flavour amazing. And it was huge, my husband and I could’ve shared it easily. My husband had the sub sandwich and it was so good really fresh wonderful Italian Chili peppers. I’m originally from New York and that sub sandwich looked really authentic. Did not have big expectations, and I loved this place . I would say it was more lunch than dinner but depends on what mood you’re in and how much food you had all day but you won’t go hungry here and they also do pizza .

Nestled in the heart of Banff, Eddie Burger + Bar is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts. This casual eatery offers creatively crafted burgers, poutine, and boozy milkshakes that put an adult twist on a childhood classic. The Rocky Mountain burger, featuring an elk patty with blueberry chutney, cheddar, romaine lettuce, sauteed onion and mayo on a brioche bun is a standout choice.
Every time we're in Banff we never miss going to Eddie Burger and I'm so glad they've retained the menu over the years because their burgers are delicious! My husband likes the bison and I usually order a classic, but the elk burger is also amazing. Onion rings are also particularly good, as well as the milkshake. The large portion sizes are well-worth and the service was excellent. The only con is the limited seating so you might want to stop by here first to get on the waiting list and then walk around town.

Great burger spot in the Heart of Banff, right where all the action is, and surrounded by historic architecture. The service was excellent and the food is too! The poutine was enormous, made with high quality cheese curds, delicious vegetarian gravy, and crispy crinkle fries! I had the house made, spiced veggie burger, made like a smash burger - it was the bomb! I added onion, and it was a 10/10! Onion rings on the side are made fresh to order, beer battered and also done right! If you’re looking for a good burger in Banff, you’ve found it!

After a poor visit to Magpie and a stump in Banff Alberta, the owner reached out to me to apologize and make it right. We final had a chance to visit Banff again and visited The Eddie Burger + Bar, which is one of their member restaurants. This visit was spectacular. From the service to the food. We could not be more impressed. The location is not large but it is quaint and cozy. Our server explained their menu from the standard food items to the customize your burger menu. You use a dry erase marker on a special menu where you pick out the options you want. Very cool idea and works wonderful in a burger joint. I opted for the classic Eddie burger while my table mates chose the customized option. Over all the food was delicious and hot. A great stop if you like a great classic burger.

They say a picture's worth a thousand words. We had the Stampede with fries and Elk with deep fried pickles; both burgers were tasty and the fries and pickles, especially the sauce that comes with the pickles, were GREAT. What's most surprising though was the raspberry chocolate milkshake! It was seriously super refreshing and not too sweet ❤️ Highly recommend

Been to The Eddie Burger in Banff a few times and it’s always delicious. The fries are well-seasoned, the burgers are big and top-notch, and I love the create-your-own burger option. It’s a small spot so it can get busy, and prices are definitely on the Banff side, but the quality makes it worth it.

I have tried many burgers in Europe(almost in every country),North-America and South-America. Here, I had the chance to try The Rocky Mountain(with Elk patty). In my humble opinion, this was THE BEST BURGER in my life, the taste is incredible and it just melts in your mouth, you have to try it. My wife was not that keen on having Burgers for dinner(three days in a row). The staff is very friendly and always happy to help you. They have an amazing thing going on here, I do hope that they keep it up. When we are in Banff again, we definitely going to have dinner here. Just try it and you won't be dissapointed.

Bluebird Wood-Fired Steakhouse is a modern steakhouse in Banff that offers an elevated menu featuring Alberta specialties like prime rib, Bluebird eggs benedict, and souffle pancakes. The drinks menu includes cocktails with spirits from nearby Park Distillery. The restaurant has a mid-century atmosphere and focuses on steakhouse classics with modern twists. It promises a unique dining experience with the best cuts of Alberta beef cooked over a wood-fired grill.
When in Banff and you want a nice night out. I can’t recommend this place enough. The ambience is lovely. The patio is so warm with the table fires, the inside is modern yet still has that rustic Banff feel. The food was incredible. All steaks are cooked on a wood fired grille. Our host Patrick was incredibly friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations. A reservation is probably needed, especially on weekends.

Walked in on a busy evening and the staff were very kind to seat us - expected an hour wait for the kitchen but it was worth the wait! The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare)! And extremely tasty. The vegan risotto was a delightful surprise and we aren’t vegans and it was so flavourful and well textured that we could not tell that it has no cheese in it! Would happily order it as a main again! Broccolini was well grilled and generous! Great service as well. One of the more memorable meals that we had in banff ❤️

Lovely spot for breakfast/brunch, and delicious food! We got the eggs benedict and the mountain breakfast, both which were great. Honestly, the sourdough bread was superb (I would go back for this alone, haha) The sausage was a little different than I was expecting (texture/toughness); however, nonetheless, was still a great breakfast overall. My partner stated these were the best egg benedict he's had on the trip - we kept ordering them. The atmosphere is charming, and felt super cozy on a brisk day in Banff. Would absolutely come here again and recommend to everyone!

We stopped in here for a brunch and wow, we got the brunch of our dreams! We got the soufflé pancakes, omelette, farmer’s breakfast, double cheeseburger and the eggs Benedict. I highly recommend adding wild mushrooms to the eggs Benedict - it made it the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! The double cheeseburger was smash burger style and the omelette was fluffy. The crispy hashbrown sticks were so unique. We were all super satisfied and the service was incredible!

We totally enjoyed a dinner of a lifetime at the Bluebird. It was so tasty and so delicious … honestly❤️ I don’t usually post reviews but we were so overwhelmed with this place starting with our server Reuben who was top notch and made us feel that we’ve been friends forever. He truly made our anniversary date night memorable. We enjoyed the steak with side dishes and truly it was the tastiest meal ever. The wine was enjoyable too lol. Thank you Bluebird ❤️

We were placed sitting on the lesser side of the restaurant and the fire place side was reserved for the nicer dressed people. Server spilled coffee on the mug and table, saw it, didn't even bother to say sorry or clean it up. Had to clean myself. After that I asked for a clean napkin, still didn't say anything and it took a while to receive a clean napkin, but it did came before our breakfast. We also don't eat pork. Asking for a substitute, they say they have nothing.. like how? Add some extra patatoes, or a pancake, salad, anything, can't think of a substitute? That was really not service friendly. The portions are small and way too expensive for what you get. Pancakes were nice, but were more like a mix of pound cake and pancake kind of thing, not pancakes as we know them. The location is however great, nice historic building, great history.

Our server was incredibly thoughtful and made sure our large group of family and friends was well taken care of and enjoying the meal. I would definitely recommend Bluebird Woodfired Steakhouse and look forward to coming back again!

REALLY wanted to love this place. Wanted to eat a steak and have a fine dining experience. THAT did not happen. Three people ordered steaks and they were terribly over cooked (see pictures). Service was wanting and the cooks do not take any suggestions. Don’t try to send your food back, they will rebuke it. The cheese sauce was good but heavy. The halibut was delicious. Had a great time at the gallery. The glacier exhibit of photographs is stunning. The founders' gallery downstairs is a quaint spot to look at paintings. The Banff history exhibits are well done and informative. Book and art shop has a plentiful selection. Good bathrooms. Will have to return for the tour of the site's heritage buildings.

Small, interesting museum in Banff featuring the art of the indigenous people. It also has a heritage section that captures the history related to the local area and its National parks. Entry fee for adults is $15 and the museum can be covered in half an hour.
Ramdas P — Google review
Not sure why people are saying the museum is too small..... if you actually stop and read all the information you can spend at least 2h there! Most people I saw just walk around not reading a single info panel. Absolutely loved it. Learnt so much about the Rockies history! Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

The indigenous art exhibit was amazing, and the tour of the exhibit was led by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Also enjoyed the historic houses tour. Wonderful gift shop

Ideal for families or anyone to visit..it was free to enter when I went..staff very good and helpful and polite..2 floors of all the stuffed animals...information on all the displays..no lift to second floor so if you have mobility problems and struggle with stairs it could be a problem..I only did the downstairs because I had a walker with me and couldn't get upstairs..but I enjoyed the level I saw...it can get busy at certain times of the day..definitely worth a visit...

A wonderful gallery museum worth the visit when in Banff.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Five years ago, when my in-laws were members, the Whyte Museum was vibrant and engaging. The Heritage Gallery was full of rich history and information. Today, it’s a completely different—and deeply disappointing—experience. The Heritage Gallery is now empty, the atmosphere feels neglected, and shockingly, there wasn’t a single piece of art connected to the founders. For a place that carries their name, this feels misleading at best. What once felt like a cultural gem now feels like a hollow shell. I left feeling scammed rather than inspired.

Tommy's Neighbourhood Pub, located in Banff, Alberta, is a cozy and inviting spot popular among both locals and tourists. With its warm ambiance and wide selection of beers on tap, it's the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the Canadian Rockies. The pub offers delicious pub grub including hearty burgers and fries for a memorable dining experience. Boasting over two decades in business, this quintessential mountain-town pub is cherished by locals for its affordable drinks and laid-back vibe.
This might have become our families favorite watering hole while in Banff. My wife and I have been going here for years to sit and have a drink and play some darts while wondering downtown. This year with the kids we thought hey lets go get a burger and play some darts. The kids loved it, and we found out they can stay until 10pm. So the the Steak Sandy was on special so we got 3 of those and my son picked up a Burger. The food was good pub food and the burger was rated 9.5 out of 10. The service was on point and we didn't have to wait at all. Playing darts was great, we usually bring out own, but I know you can ask at the bar to get a set if you need them. We had so much fun with such a chill evening.

Tommy's offers a small outdoor patio. It's a few steps below the sidewalk, which is great for getting away from the street noise and the wind.. it's pet friendly as well. The staff are very friendly and pleasant 😊. They offer a steak sandwich during happy hour. It's very good 👍.

The food is very good here, we came back a second time! Steak sandwich is so tender and flavorful. The soups are really good and the salad is very fresh. The nachos are the largest I’ve ever seen!

Food was delicious and our server was absolutely amazing! I got the jolly rancher drink and it was so fun and I highly recommend. The vibe was very nice and I enjoyed my time, I hope I get the opportunity to come back the next time I'm in banff. My photos do not do it justice at all, if you're in Banff this is a great spot to go eat or have a drink

Tommy's is a great pub that serves really good food. Prices were so reasonable, the food was delicious and huge portions. Scott our server was excellent, backed up by Maggie filling the drinks behind the bar. A lovely experience in a very traditional style Canadian pub. No wi fi so people are actually talking.

We just walk-in...food was served about 15ish minutes...the food was okay...the nachos was tasted burnt on top but they'd replace it as soon we told them..service was good!

Came in for some late food, but alas the kitchen had just closed a few minutes earlier at 10 PM. So, had just a beer instead. Asked for some recommendations, and eventually picked the most basic of beers, which is always good measuring stick. As for the beer. Cold. Like really. But actually for the type of beer, basically on point. Pint sized, which is really only useful if you can drink that fast enough, without your beer heating up too much. They should ask size if they offer multiple. No head though, virtually non-existent. My Belgian heart bled there. Price was on point. The atmosphere, lively despite it being not too crowded. Some tables talking, some in the back playing darts. Music too loud though, or the speaker near the first table on the right is positioned very poorly. The waitress was sublime though. Friendly, helpful, and multiple check-ins on how I was doing.

Timeless local haunt been serving banffites and visitors alike since the 90's. This place is quaint and compact, but don't let the size fool you. Pound for pound this pub serves plenty of pints and pub food that would make establishments 3x times bigger jealous, lol! Come for the drinks, stay for the friendship, All are welcome at Tommy's pub and grill.

Restaurant
Waldhaus Restaurant is an upscale bar and eatery located in a Bavarian-style cottage behind the Banff Springs, offering a Swiss-Bavarian-style dining experience. The restaurant features German-inspired alpine dishes such as bratwurst, sauerbraten, schnitzel, cheese fondue, beef fondue, and chocolate fondue. There's also a pub on the lower level serving brunch on weekend mornings and nightcaps.
Tucked beside Bow Falls, Waldhaus melds Bavarian charm with Rockies elegance. Crisp schnitzels, indulgent fondue, and apple strudel shine amid a rustic setting warmed by fireplace and sweeping mountain views. Attentive, cozy, and steeped in alpine character.
Slava S — Google review
During my stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs, I had the pleasure of dining at this German restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The ambience was warm, inviting, and authentically Bavarian, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for a relaxed meal. The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. The food was generally very good, earning an 8/10, with standout dishes like the perfectly crispy pork schnitzel and flavorful spätzle. While the fondue was just okay, I'd recommend exploring other menu options. Overall, it's a must-visit spot that adds charm to your Banff getaway.

Wonderful experience, our sever was absolutely lovely, perfect view and I believe we had the best table in the restaurant for our meal. My only complaint is that our entrees were a bit cold, but perhaps it was because we spent a long time eating our cheese fondue.

Overall an amazing experience. Highly recommend this location. The food is delicious, fresh and delivered quickly after ordering. The menu has many options available and pricing is good. Service is also quick, and friendly. Staff is warm and knowledgeable. Able to provide insights not only into the menu, and beer selection but also the local area. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning. The location is premium, and has a spectacular view of the mountains and a beautiful running river beside the venue. There is also a fire pit to sit around and enjoy a pint. Interior is warm, and inviting. Highly recommend this restaurant as the food is delicious, drinks are plentiful and the pricing is reasonable. Couple this with the beauty of the location and you have a home run.

The Buffalo Nations Museum, located in Banff, Alberta, is a fort-like museum that houses a diverse collection of artifacts showcasing the history and culture of the indigenous First Nations people who lived in and around the Canadian Rockies. The museum specializes in preserving the rich heritage of Canada with exhibits featuring early Indian civilizations, photography displays, a variety of musical instruments, and seasonal events such as ceremonies, dances, and songs.
Nice small museum..gift shop..staff we're helpful and polite..disabled friendly ramp inside to get to display area...have to pay to get in..lots of items on display..screens with information playing you can sit and watch and listen....can take photos..just don't touch glass displays or exhibits...can get a guide to show you and explain everything you see...do groups as well...

The Buffalo Nations Museum is a charming, medium-sized museum that offers a fascinating glimpse into indigenous history. You can expect to spend up to an hour exploring the exhibits. While the displays are engaging, the museum could benefit from more comprehensive information on indigenous cultures and histories. Despite a slightly higher admission fee compared to previous years, the overall experience was good. One notable disappointment was the removal of the Sun Dance exhibit, which I was eager to share with my children. However, the drum room was a big hit, providing an interactive and enjoyable experience for them. The museum shop also deserves a mention for its delightful selection of animal stuffed toys native to Canada, making it a perfect stop for kids.
Samuel N — Google review
Beautiful artefacts and certainly worth your support. However, the museum struggles to find a red threat and/or guiding red thread throughout all that it has to offer. Also, the lack of a washroom for guests is a minus.
Frank B — Google review
Visiting the Buffalo Nations Museum was one of the most meaningful parts of our trip to Banff. Tucked away near the Bow River, this beautiful museum offers a powerful and immersive glimpse into the lives, culture, and history of the Indigenous peoples of the Northern Plains and Rockies. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the depth of knowledge and respect shown for Indigenous traditions and ways of life. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, with incredible displays of traditional regalia, beadwork, hunting tools, tipis, and artifacts that speak to the strength, resilience, and beauty of the cultures represented. What stood out most was how personal and grounded everything felt. There was a real sense of storytelling — not just facts and dates, but the voices and histories of people who have called this land home for thousands of years. It’s a museum that invites reflection, respect, and appreciation for cultures that too often go overlooked. The gift shop is also lovely — small but full of meaningful items, many of them made by Indigenous artisans. Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful souvenir or a gift with cultural significance, it’s definitely worth browsing. The location itself couldn’t be more beautiful — nestled in the picturesque town of Banff with the mountains as a backdrop. It’s a peaceful and inspiring place to spend a few hours, and a must-visit for anyone wanting to better understand the land they’re standing on. If you’re in Banff and looking to connect with the deeper roots of the area, don’t miss this museum. It’s not just history — it’s living culture, and it’s told with care, heart, and authenticity.
Lina H — Google review
Visited this museum on a rainy day in Banff. It took about 40 minutes to walk through. Reading the history and seeing the items on display were so interesting. It was also cool to be able to hit the drum. There are 2 videos playing but it's hard to hear with people talking and the drum being played. The gift shop has a large selection and alot of "Made locally in Canada" items which I appreciated. The staff were super friendly. Definitely recommend checking it out!
Courtney H — Google review
Great experience with the kids. Even a drum room to try out. Amazing artifacts and history pieces. Highly recommend!

Good resource for information on first nation. Would have been nice to have had some first nation people there to share experiences first hand. Although the videos do tell of the atrocity and slow genocide suffered by the people and children.

Italian restaurant
LUPO Italian Ristorante is a popular dining spot in Banff, known for its unique take on Italian cuisine. The restaurant captures the lively atmosphere of an Italian marketplace, with chefs preparing fresh pasta and grilling meats and seafood. The interior is designed to resemble an open-air Italian trattoria, creating an authentic Italian experience.
Mugs loaded with Tiramisu, all homemade Italian food, what else can go right? If I was local, I'd be in here once a month minimum. The Agnalotti was the unanimous winner of the best dish of the night among my family, who thought everything was delicious. The Chicken Parm service is aggregious, it's a half chicken and boy is it good. I also really liked the Uncle Morty pizza, the Pistachios were undesired by my family, but I thought it was a nice touch. Avalon was a saint of a server. I wish her the best in all her endeavors. She explained to our family all the best spots to make sure we went to in Banff, her and her husband's travel recs, and everything else relevant in the city. She also guided us through the menu and paced our dinner execution flawlessly. Nothing but kudos.
Noah D — Google review
We ordered the seafood linguine, spicy rigatoni, carbonara, and the kids’ rigatoni with tomato sauce — all were delicious and well seasoned. The pasta was flavourful and satisfying, especially for a busy Banff restaurant. It’s not the delicate, handmade style you’d find at a little mom-and-pop spot where the chef shops that morning for each table, but it was still excellent quality and clearly made with care. We started with the Caesar salad, which was quite anchovy-forward (we usually prefer a more garlicky one, but that’s just personal taste). The drinks, however, were out of this world, and the service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall, LUPO delivers good Italian food in the heart of Banff with a lively atmosphere and fantastic cocktails. Would definitely return next time we’re in town (especially because the service was the better of all we had over our stay).
Claire C — Google review
Genuinely loved the food, drinks and service here. We were looking for a pasta place and stumbled across LUPO so booked a table for later in the day. The restaurant is light, open and airy located up a set of stairs. We were nestled in a corner at the back of the restaurant and sat perpendicular to each other which worked out great for sharing food. The saffron radiatori was our stand out dish, the flavours were great and we said that we could easily come back and eat that again the next day - the highlight of the whole meal. We also had the spicy meatballs which were really tasty. The cocktails went down very nicely, as did the tiramisu which was demolished very quickly. As others have said in their reviews, the service is always what takes it up a notch. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we left we felt welcome and at ease. The waiter explained the whole menu to us, along with the drinks and any offers they had on. I’d recommend booking a table before you come as when we were there many people were queuing for walk ins - you can book a table online on the day and you will be fine. Side note: the bathroom soap smells fantastic and we went and bought some from Rocky afterwards.
Reiss K — Google review
I kept looking up reviews on where to eat in Banff since there are SO many options all with pretty good ratings. Nearly every Reddit post mentioned Lupo so I had to try it and it did not disappoint. We missed out on making reservations but were seated within 5 minutes at around 5:45-6 on a Saturday in September which we were thrilled about. I would’ve waited though had there been a wait. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere all 10/10. I got the dragonflies in paradise and wolf street hold up cocktails which were both amazing. For food I got the mafaldine limone and my boyfriend got the spicy rigatoni which were both so delicious and flavorful. We did get the focaccia starter which came with 2 pieces. I think this should just come with your pasta instead of costing an extra cost but it’s okay. We will definitely be returning here and recommending it to everyone looking for a place to eat in Banff!
Ashley H — Google review
We had a great meal at Lupo, our server Christine was top notch, she explained everything on the menu that we had questions on. Kept our waters full and always checked in. Food was hot a fresh. We had chicken parm, margarita pizza ,truffle fries and seafood pasta. Highly recommend giving them a try,and if Christine is your server you are in for a treat.

We showed up without a reservation and the place was packed. But they had a first come, first served area which the seating was a covered outdoor patio on the second floor, which we preferd and was lovely! Great service and even better food. We ordered Cesar salad for appetizer. Then for main course we chose chicken parmesan( Which was the best i he e ever had) and believe me i have had them at many restaurants and different countries.) Handmade ribbon pasta with Reggiano, butter and lemon which was second to none! Go there and enjoy a great meal!
Nat N — Google review
Nice italian spot in the heart of Banff. The restaurant is visually appealing and offers a nice atmosphere. The food was excellent, but maybe a little under my standards for fresh italian pastas in that price range. Felt more generic than homemade to me. Anyways, the scallop crudo is to die for and is a must try for its unique taste. Would go there again if pasta is what I am craving 🍝
Félix-Antoine B — Google review
This is my first time visiting Banff & I came to dine here as I wanted to go to one nicer restaurant while I’m here and I could not have picked better! I eat a mostly vegetarian diet and they had the best pasta options, I started with the crispy potatoes and they were perfect! Then I got the lemon pasta and wow, I would 10/10 recommend it, the pasta is made fresh I was told by my waiter- who was very kind & helpful! I also finished with the Tirimisu and it was delicious! I took it to go and it was just as good the next day! Do yourself a favour and visit this restaurant in Banff:)

This could be the most local Awesome bar in all of Banff. Happy hour all day Sunday, great specials, and great drinks. The prices are amazing! Had a beer and the poutine, which is probably the best poutine I’ve ever had! I’ll be back many more times.

This is a no-frills kind of bar—small, basic, and nothing particularly memorable. If you're looking for a fancy atmosphere or craft cocktails, this probably isn't the place. But if you're after a cheap bite and a casual drink, it does the job. The food is simple and very affordable, which is probably the best thing about the place. Don’t expect gourmet meals, but the portions are decent and it’s great for a quick, budget-friendly stop. The drink selection is limited but reasonably priced. Service was okay—nothing outstanding, but not bad either. The place was clean, though a bit cramped, and seating is limited. It seems to draw mostly regulars and locals, so there’s a laid-back, no-judgment kind of vibe. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re in the area and want something low-key and cheap. Just don’t expect anything fancy.

We were staying in this hostel and didn't know until we got here that they had their own restaurant. Honestly didn't know WHAT to expect but only ate there on a whim as we were very tired from hiking. That being said, WOW wow this place is absolutely amazing. We were hungry and tried many dishes and all were loved: -Curry soup - I'm not a curry fan but my partner devoured it. -Hummus platter - super good hummus, super crispy slices of flatbread for dipping. -Poutine - Super crispy fries, rich gravy, plenty of gooey cheese. -Burger - Tons of flavor, very fresh. Their burger patty is a blend of something unfamiliar, almost spongy. idk but it was good anyway! Lots of great Happy Hour specials too!

Stopped in to see if I should stay here for the night or go on my way. I had the special, chicken tortillas. Decent but not spicy lacking flavour so get the trio of sauces for it. Dancing Sasquatch is a lively nightspot in Banff with a rustic lodge-themed decor and a vibrant dance floor. The club offers bottle service, energetic dance parties, and the chance to spot a sasquatch mascot joining in on the fun. Known for hosting wild events with local and international DJs, it's the ultimate destination for those looking to dance the night away.
Have to give this 5 stars. The music was bomb! (If you like hip hop and EDM, pop). It was crowded, which was nice considering how empty every other place was the night before. Yes it's mostly younger people, but I came to dance.

We went on the earlier side of the night so it hadn’t gotten real popping yet but it was a good vibe. DJ was playing good music. There was good seating. It’s perfectly themed for Banff too. Definitely a good time!

This bar would be awesome for anyone 18-25 at the oldest. The venue is fairly small and is very over packed. The extremely young population does not know how to move around a venue like that properly and I was stepped on at least 10 times or more as well as constantly having random guys touching me. My husband and I are 35 & 32 and felt extremely out of place in this bar. Reminded us both of the much music video dances we used to have in middle school lol Great place for the younger crowd, but just awful for us older kids. 🤣

Fun dance club in Banff. Get there early to avoid line ups! Younger crowd and bar is tight when it gets busy. We paid $10 cover just to get in. Fun night for my brothers stag.

The club would be great IF they played decent music. We liked the atmosphere but the dj tonight was/is horrible. He was playing some sort of odd techno music with an accordion in it. We stayed for half an hour waiting to see if the music would improve but it didn’t. The group of people who arrived after us nope’d out right away. Visitors can enjoy weekly Greek dance nights and experience the cultural traditions of Greece while savoring scrumptious meals.
The best meal we had in Banff! I had the seafood pasta, my husband had the lamb shank, and we shared the hummus with braised lamb as an appetizer. Everything was great! Our server was very nice and attentive also.

If you’re in Banff and craving incredible Mediterranean flavors, Balkan Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Their kebabs and grilled meats are simply outstanding — perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of rich, authentic flavor. Every bite feels like a celebration of traditional Mediterranean cooking. The lamb and chicken souvlaki were juicy and cooked to perfection, and the beef kebabs had just the right amount of char from the grill. You can tell the quality of ingredients is top-notch, and the presentation is beautiful too. Whether you’re a meat lover or just looking for something satisfying and flavorful after a day of exploring, Balkan hits the mark. Highly recommended!

Incredible place all around. Staff was absolutely wonderful the server took time out to play with the baby and even provided some fun toys for him. She made expert recommendations based on what she noticed we enjoyed. A fair bit of the meat options were halal and perfectly cooked. The flavors worked so well and every single thing was delicious. I’ve already been twice in less than 6 months and I don’t even live in the province. Every time I am in Banff, I will go back to the Balkan 👏

We tried their platter and cocktails — both were absolutely amazing and truly must-try items! The flavors and presentation completely blew us away. I would especially recommend going for lunch. A special shoutout to Abi, our server. She was incredibly professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. You can ask her anything regarding substitutions or recommendations, and she’ll guide you perfectly. Her service really elevated our experience and made our day. Thank you, Abi, for being such an amazing server!

I came here on a whim and enjoyed every bit of it. Sat on the bar table, both Jeremy + Olivia were really chill to talk to. The food was delicious and overall place was very lively. Katherina / Mala Jamal really kept the party going. She really motivated me out of my comfort zone and onto the dance floor. 🕺💃 Spanakopita - 10/10 - delicious. Veg and totally 🤯. I recommend. Whipped Spicy Feta Spread - 9/10 - really good. The spread was excellent and the pita was ok.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (almost 5 stars, but one lost to the chili pineapple drink 🥲) Me and my friends did a quick day trip to Banff, and stumbled upon what I can only describe as a foodie side quest reward: this hidden gem in Banff! 🎉 We started with the loaded fries and the duo dip combo (beetroot hummus + tzatziki = the dream team). Honestly, I would’ve been fine just living off that… but no, our stomachs had other plans. For mains we went all in: Alberta beef platter (chef’s kiss 👌), roasted chicken (juicy enough to bring a tear to your eye), edamame falafel (surprisingly life-changing), and the lamb wrap (like a warm hug in food form). Everything arrived hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The staff? Super friendly—like, “should we be best friends now?” friendly. Bonus points: lots of halal options, so everyone in our group left happy and full. 🙌 The only plot twist? The chili pineapple drink. Imagine being betrayed by fruit. 🍍🌶️💔 Wouldn’t recommend. Overall: highly recommend to friends, family, strangers, your mailman, and maybe even your enemies (so they’ll be too full and happy to bug you).

The upscale dining rooms are adorned with rough-hewn logs, local rundlestone rock, Canadian art, and unique decor such as a canoe on the ceiling and snowshoes on the walls.
We had a wonderful dinner with our family of 10. Everything we ordered — from the grilled meats to seafood and kids’ pasta — was delicious. The server was super friendly and explained the dishes very kindly, which we really appreciated. We asked if there were any coloring activities for the kids — they didn’t have anything prepared, but they brought us blank paper and pens, which was a nice touch. Highly recommended!

Came here for our anniversary dinner yesterday and it was lovely. All the food was cooked to perfection and our server Cam was awesome. He was very easy going and knew the menu inside out so he answered all of our questions confidently. I couldn’t have asked for a better place. Would definitely come again on our next visit. Oh and the crab gratin dip is to die for. So good!

We had a really nice brunch here. We'd spotted the restaurant the morning before whilst exploring the town centre and weren't disappointed with our visit. Due to roadworks going on the main entrance wasnt accessible but there were clear signs directing us how to access the lift and alternative entrance where we had a cheery welcome from the staff and got spoilt rotten by Nisha who served us. We both had Eggs Benedict (Mine with Canadian Bacon and my Partners with Smoked Salmon which came with Hash potatoes. Nisha also helpfully pointed out to us that we could have them with a mimosa for the same price. We didn't need to be told twice so we had one with Passion fruit and the other with grapefruit. Options I've never tried before but most definitely will in the future. All throughout our meal Nisha an her colleague (whose name we didn't get, sorry!) who had welcomed us checked up on us and refreshed our coffee mugs and water. Nisha also gave us tips on visiting Tunnel Mountain where we were headed off to for our hike afterwards. Altogether a lovely meal experience. Thanks guys!

The atmosphere was good and service was fast. We ordered duck wings, cowboy steak, tenderloin and gnocchi. I liked the wings and cowboy steak! The steak was tender and juicy. The wings were savory! The only thing I didn't like was the gnocchi. It was too dry and I didn't feel any potatoes at all. It was like flour balls.

We celebrated my partner’s birthday here and had such a lovely experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, and they even surprised us a complimentary dessert for the birthday celebrant—which was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch. We started with the Cast Iron Crab Gratin Dip, which was creamy and packed with flavor. For mains, we had the Signature Maple Salmon & Prawns and the 18oz Alberta Cowboy Steak—both cooked perfectly. We paired everything with a glass of Ice Wine, which added a sweet finish to the meal. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, perfect for a special occasion. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience in Banff.

It offers the best steak in Bnnf. My tour guide he recommended me to have a try. The steak was pretty delicious, making me enjoyed whole things on the plate. Besides, it has friendly services. I ordered their best and the most famous one which is 91 dollars.

We had lunch and dinner (within a couple days of wach other) here. Food was great. Service was good and the atmosphere was okay. Although we were at window seats, our view was of construction on the street. It is obviously not their fault, but it contributed to our experience, especially as we were on vacation. The food however, brought us back!

Came here for a quick lunch. I had the duck with orange sauce and maple syrup — my god, the sweetest thing I’ve ever tasted, and the duck itself wasn’t great (plus no sides). My girlfriend’s chicken burger, on the other hand, was really good — a bit spicy but delicious. Service was fine.

Had breakfast here with the family. Friendly enough staff on arrival and lovely flowers at the front door! Pretty much everything you would expect for a breakfast eatery. I always get a bit freaked out by loads of ketchup / sauce bottles open on a display as I worry about how long they have been there- how can you track the dates of all those bottles?? The decor was a bit confused and I couldn’t work out the vibe…..Masquerade masks 🎭 on the wall along with jazz instruments and a suspended ceiling with 80s style Miami Vice curved arches. But don’t be put off. The food was really good🤨I ate strawberry waffles with cream, my son blasted through chocolate choc chip buttermilk pancakes and my Wife really enjoyed buttermilk pancakes, maple syrup , Canadian 🇨🇦 bacon and cream. We washed this down with tea and water. It is worth noting my son is a pancake expert with real world experience and he rated them highly!

The food here was excellent! We’re Florida natives, so we know what true southern food tastes like. Most restaurants outside of the south don’t really know how to cook authentic southern food. But the fried green tomatoes were on point, the pork belly was perfectly cooked, the remoulade was great and everything was salted just right. Very pleased with the experience!

My shuttle driver recommended this eatery. So, I checked it out 2 days in a row. I would tell the waitress what I was interested in, and they would recommend a different take on it. I must say, those ladies were spot on! I never been to Louisiana because it's too hot and humid for me. I heard about the food scene there. Well, I am good now that I visited the town of Banff in the country of Canada with Louisiana flare! I definitely got my fill of delicious cuisine and wonderful customer service! My compliments to the chefs! 🫶🏽😊🇨🇦🌎

Bistro
Nourish Bistro Banff is a unique eatery known for its inventive vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as creative cocktails. The menu offers a wide range of influences, including Southern comfort food, pan-Asian cuisine, and Italian fare. While the prices are higher than other restaurants in town, Nourish stands out with dishes like build-your-own-charcuterie boards and mushroom-stuffed ravioli in cashew milk-based cream sauce.
We tried this place for the first time after arriving in Banff and were blown away. We ordered the Boss Bear Burger and the Exotic Wild Mushroom Ravioli — both were absolutely delicious. The food was so good that we made sure to come back for brunch before leaving. This time, we had the Mountain Breakfast Skillet and the Nourish Omelette, and they were incredible and so filling. Honestly, this is hands down the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. The flavours, the quality, the service — everything was incredible. Caleb, the owner was super nice and ensured we had the best time ever. Highly recommend!

A Vegetarian Delight in the Rockies If you're looking for the best vegetarian food in Banff, Nourish Bistro is the place to be. The Big Bear Burger was absolutely delicious — flavorful, hearty, and satisfying even for non-vegetarians. They also offer a great variety of fruity beers and creative cocktails that pair perfectly with the food. The service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy, nature-inspired ambiance adds to the overall experience. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and uniqueness of the dishes make it worth it. Make sure to book in advance as it could be very busy.

We’re not vegan, but we always love trying vegan food and Nourish did not disappoint! We saw great reviews and decided to check it out. The food was honestly amazing. We loved everything we ordered, and the cocktails were just as good. Only thing that threw us off a bit was that we weren’t done with our food (we still had fries and few bites left), and one of the staff just picked up our plates without asking if we were done. That felt a little off, to be honest. But apart from that, the rest of the staff was nice, and the vibe was good. If you’re vegan or just curious to try vegan food, this place is definitely worth a visit. Loved their in-house burgers, highly recommend!

I loved Nourish Bistro so much that I ate here TWICE during my 2 day visit to Banff. The first time I had the delicious Vietnamese Noodle Salad with tofu. Not only was it delicious, but it was colourful and beautifully composed. The next day I came back for a lighter meal and had the vegetable gyoza. I also enjoyed the home made lemon / lime drink, which was wonderfully refreshing and not too sweet. The best part was the terrific service! The staff seemed to operate as a very cooperative team to provide seamless service. The restaurant itself had a comfortable and calm vibe. Sit outside on their patio with yellow umbrellas to get a lovely view is the mountains. Support this small, independent business! 💛

Super friendly and super relaxed staff. Good ambiance. Most importantly really good food. The menu is creative and divers. All vegetarian restaurant and all upgradable to vegan. It does so without screaming this, in my opinion that is a huge plus and a compliment. Just go and try this restaurant.

If ever you are in Banff, this is a gem of a place. Everything is vegetarian or vegan including the drinks. We were in Banff end of May and were looking for a restaurant with more vegetarian options as well as the ambience. This place fitted the needs. Lovely patio sitting and the service was excellent. It was Saturday evening and the place was packed so we waited for 15 mins to get a table which was so worth it considering all the delicious options on the menu. There were four of us - we ordered Boss Bear Burger, Nourishment Bowl and Wild Mushrooms Ravioli. All three dishes were yummy. And also ordered beer and a non alcoholic drink. Will definitely go there again if ever we are in Banff!!

So nice to find a place to enjoy a variety of fresh, healthy and original veggie dishes. The dumplings were prolly our favorite but I do have to give a shout out to both the beet humus and their marinaded/grilled tofu …both were super yummy as part of the overall salad I had. Thankfully the dressing was not overdone so I could enjoy the overall mix of flavors. Glad the weather cooperated as it was nice to dine on the patio and enjoy the lively outdoor atmosphere. PS- if u get the dumplings and have any dipping sauce left over, I loved dipping the falafel into it, but maybe that’s just me!

Excellent pint of Guinness. Food was good, I had the Steak & Guinness pie, tasty, if a bit heavy on the gravy flavouring. Wife had fish and chips. Excellent potato skins as shared starter. Service was a bit hit and miss. My wife's main was delivered while still eating starter. She was half way through her main when mine arrived.

It was our third visit to the pub: 2000, 2018, and this year. Whenever we visit Banff, we always have one of our meals at this Irish pub, and it never disappoints. The food was good, the servers were very attentive, and the atmosphere was great as well. The only downside was that the beer, Innis & Gunn, had a slightly different taste than the one I had in Edinburgh. I noticed a flowery note—I’m not sure if it was just me. I don’t know when we’ll visit Banff again, but I’m sure we’ll come back to the pub for another meal and some drinks.

Unfortunately my partner and I were in agreement that this was the singular bad experience we had throughout our entire stay in the Banff area. On the positive side, the decor is good, as is the layout and the quality of the Guinness is as good as home which I wasn't expecting. The service though was dire! Really poor attitude from the staff who were gruff at best, and down right rude at worst. First drink was slammed down on the bar, spilling it as if we'd offended the man (which we hadn't really interacted with). He proceeded to them ignore us despite us sitting at the bar with empty glasses looking for his attention to order another. His colleagues were no better. Observed serving clearly very inebriated patrons repeatedly and regularly at the other side of the bar throughout this time. Very unprofessional and not representative of warm service that Irish bars are renowned for the world over, I'm sorry to say.

Stopped by for a late lunch after being up in Lake Louise. Our server was fantastic, I cant remember his name (only that he was from Manchester.) I couldn't decide between the Chicken & Leek Pie or the Bangers & Mash. He recommended the Bangers & Mash and it did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious. Everyone else had burgers and potatoes skins (lame). Next time I'm in I'll have to try the Chicken & Leek Pie! Thanks for amazing food and service.

We were dining on the patio, and at the beginning they told us, “We can’t guarantee you’ll be able to move inside if it rains.” Still, we decided to enjoy sitting outside. Then, out of nowhere, it started pouring. I asked our server, just in case, if we could move inside, and they immediately prepared a table for us and guided us in. I was there with my parents, so it was such a big help! The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was excellent. Thank you so much!

Rundle Bar at Fairmont Banff Springs is a stylish hotel bar offering handcrafted cocktails, beer, and wine with scenic views and live music. Situated in the heart of the historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, it provides one of the best restaurant views in Banff. Named after Mount Rundle, this award-winning bar overlooks the stunning mountainscape and serves signature cocktails like the Mountain Series, inspired by various Fairmont locations across the Canadian Rockies.
We visited Rundle Bar for Afternoon Tea to celebrate a birthday at the end of May. It was a fantastic experience! Here are some key takeaways: - It was a little confusing to find at first, as when you arrive (at the second level), you have to walk into the restaurant, past the bar, to a hostess stand. It’s a hard to see and while there were staff walking right by us, no one guided us through. - That being said, we are very grateful that staff took the time to read our notes that we were celebrating a birthday. The hostess said Happy Birthday and so did our server. Marco was fantastic as our server, going above and beyond, even offering to take photos of us without being asked. You must ask for him if you visit. Somebody give the man a raise! - For those wondering, the view alone is worth going for. 100%. - I will say that service did feel a little bit rushed - it could have been spread out a bit more so we could savour the experience. They definitely bring the food out very quickly! - While the sandwiches were alright (not exceptional), what you are paying for is the experience. Between the sparkling wine, the adorable tea timer, choosing from a variety of teas, and the bite size desserts, it makes for a one-of-kind experience in a historic hotel in Banff. Highly recommend!

This was my second time visiting. Upscale bar venue with signature drinks, extensive variety of other liquor and small food menu. Service is attentive and helpful. Atmosphere quiet, comfortable and a fabulous view of the mountains if you seat yourself near the back. I had a signature drink but it wasn’t very remarkable. I enjoyed the lobster roll and my friend had the hummus dish. She also had the espresso martini- she raved about it. We both really enjoyed our food and it arrived in a timely manner. I was surprised by the portions! Very satisfied!

Arrived after a long day on tour bus. We are staying at the Fairmont, so not interested in going to far. Not hungry enough for a full dinner, so we settled on the Rumble Bar. It's a beautiful space, and the views out the windows are breathtaking. The space is well appointed, but not especially for our party of six. The modern looking tables and chairs didn't lend themselves to being pushed together. We made it work. The drinks and food are overpriced, but you're at a Fairmont. We ordered a couple drinks and sandwiches. I got the Ember Cocktail, and my spouse ordered a Amber Ale. Good choices. We tried a Lobster Roll and Pork Belly Bowl. While we were waiting they brought us some nuts and popcorn. Which was delicious and took the edge off the hunger. Lucky for us, because it took a bit to server our food. The Lobster Roll was okay, but not up to Fairmont standards. It was more of a Maine style, more like lobster salad. And there was more roll than lobster. The Pork Belly very good, warm flavorful, and a good portion. There are plenty of other great places to dine. We won't be coming back to this one.

We wanted a unique experience on our honeymoon and decided to book the tea service. I preface this with the fact my husband and I do not normally eat “this type of food.” Overall the service was unique and very enjoyable besides the few sandwiches we did not enjoy for personal preference. We really enjoyed the place. Tom was an awesome bartender and super friendly. We ate at the rooftop bar and it has great views. Prices were about par for Banff. I loved the brisket sliders. We overlooked the entrance as its just some stairs, but once you get up there it's quite large inside. Rooftop bar is fairly large as well.

We went to the roof top. Amazing views. Ordered gluten free, dairy free poutine for my wife (to be)... It was amazing! She never gets gluten free or dairy free poutine and it was SO GOOD. I had the French Onion Soup. It was very good! My buddy has the bacon Mac and cheese, it was good, not amazing, but not bad. Overall very happy with the food and the views!

Glad we found their 3rd floor deck here as the evening view can be stellar for sure if the weather cooperates. Nice selection of beers, and very friendly helpful service. The bar grub is okay and definitely better than a lot of run of the meal pubs u might come across. Fair warning that the lamb burger, while tasty for sure had far more heat than anticipated, and I like spicy offerings but many might not want a 3 alarm fire that comes w this one. The bun was great and makes it a much better burger than a lot of other joints. I personally liked the butter chicken the best and the heat level was right on par. Wish we could have stayed for the band downstairs as it looked like a great room for a gig…maybe next time.

The patio view is pretty great, the service was very “meh” and the lady was kind of rude and I asked for vegan options. I had a salad and some fries, nothing really great tbh. Do not recommend.

Garden
Nature & Parks
Nestled in the heart of Banff, the Cascade of Time Garden offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. Since its establishment in 1930, this four-acre terraced park has captivated visitors with its meticulously landscaped pathways, water features, and vibrant flora. Just a short walk from downtown Banff, it provides a perfect vantage point for admiring the surrounding mountains and blooming flowers during the warmer months.
A really lovely place to spend time with family or just relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The gardens are full of beautiful trees and flowers, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The best part is that you don’t need a ticket, it’s free to visit. While you can’t go inside the building, the outdoor areas are more than enough to enjoy. It’s a large, beautiful garden and also a great place to take photos. I definitely recommend this spot to everyone.
Rouzbeh R — Google review
Everything about the gardens was so well done.. the stone work, the entire layout, the flower choices, etc. It was bigger than I was expecting and had a lot of places to sit and enjoy the garden. So many little ponds and waterfalls thoughout + the gorgeous views of the mountains beyond.
Jess — Google review
I recently visited this place and found it to be a wonderful spot for relaxation and enjoying nature. The gardens are beautifully maintained, full of greenery and colorful flowers, with small artificial lakes and charming water fountains that create a peaceful atmosphere. It’s the kind of location where you can easily spend a few hours just walking around, sitting, and enjoying the surroundings. There are plenty of gazebos and seating areas throughout, making it comfortable for visitors to take breaks, have small picnics, or simply sit and take in the view. It’s also an excellent place for group photos or memorable snapshots—almost every corner offers a scenic backdrop with flowers, water, and open spaces. The overall vibe of the garden is very positive, a mix of calmness and liveliness that suits all ages. While entry into the main building wasn’t possible during my visit, the outdoor gardens themselves were more than enough to enjoy. Another great aspect is that there’s no fee or ticket required to access the gardens, which makes it even more appealing. Its location is also convenient, very close to downtown and surrounded by several other museums and attractions. That makes it easy to combine this spot with other sightseeing activities in the area.

Beautifully manicured gardens surround an impressive old stone building. Many tierred plantings with lovely colours and lots of stairs. A pretty place to stroll. We walked around the entire garden in less tgan 30 mins.

Casada Garden is such a beautiful and peaceful spot. The landscaping is gorgeous, with colorful flowers, lush greenery, and plenty of cozy seating areas to relax and take it all in. It’s well maintained and perfect for a quiet stroll or just enjoying nature. A hidden gem that feels calm and refreshing—highly recommend stopping by!

Absolutely breathtaking! Pics don’t do this garden justice! Definitely one of most beautiful gardens we have been to (and we have been to many many gardens including Buchart in Victoria). Free to enter, free parking too! And an easy walk to all the shops and cafes in Banff Village :)

Just another amazing little spot in the town of Banff. Very picturesque location with a nice walking area in the back, full of beautiful flowers, and nice water and lovely plants, and of course the gorgeous views in the background. The front area is also super nice and great for taking some nice pics. Definitely a good place to take a quick stop while in the area!!

Cascade Gardens is a beautiful and peaceful spot in Banff that offers one of the best views of Banff and Banff Avenue! The gardens are well-maintained with vibrant flowers, charming pathways, and stunning mountain backdrops. Nestled within The Fairmont Banff Springs, Castello Italiana is a sophisticated restaurant offering a modern twist on seasonal Italian cuisine. With an extensive wine list, the eatery provides a remarkable dining experience with attentive and friendly staff. The venue will be participating in Food Day Canada, showcasing local ingredients alongside other restaurants across the country.
THE NICEST GNOCCHI EVER I think about this daily haha it was the most delicious dish honestly I’ve had, up there with the top 10 favourite meals everrrrr I’m sad I don’t live here I would eat this weekly if I did, maybe that’s a good thing hahah definitely recommend this dish and add some chilli flakes. My boyfriend had the lobster carbonara he said it was also delicious I don’t like seafood so didn’t try, the service was great too shout out to Emily!
Niamh — Google review
We had a great dining experience. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. The only downside was the service—it was a bit slow, especially toward the end of our meal. We waited quite a while after finishing and had to ask for the dessert menu. It might have been because it was close to closing time and there was a large group, but it did affect the overall experience. Hopefully, the service will be a little more attentive next time!
Jing T — Google review
I had an amazing dining experience at Castello Italiana in Banff. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with great attention to detail and authentic flavors. The dessert was simply exquisite—a perfect way to end the meal. The ambiance was very Italian, making the experience even more immersive, and the Italian music playing in the background was a great touch. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service; the staff was attentive, friendly, and ensured everything was perfect throughout our visit. Highly recommended!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. We were very impressed that they had a separate halal menu, and the head chef came out to talk about it with us and he was very friendly. We got the Purple Haze mocktail, the ribeye, the lobster carbonara, and the crostada for dessert. 10/10! We will definitely be coming back!
Jake L — Google review
Our experience was amazing from beginning to end. We started with the delicious calamari and bread service, followed by their standout signature dishes: the bone-in veal Parmesan and lobster carbonara. A special shoutout to Max for making our visit feel truly personalized.

a small restaurant in the fairmont hotel we are staying at, but the food was very good. i ordered the lobster carbonara and my mom ordered rockfish, i believe. the pasta was delectable although the lobster was a little dry. the rockfish was good too, but it was very spicy. it was my birthday and after ordering a dessert the waitress added it as complimentary on our bill, which we appreciated. i highly recommend!
Andrea — Google review
We were staying at the Springs and one of our tour guides said he had just had dinner at Castello’s the night before and it was excellent. My three friends and I thought we would give it a try. Two of us had the lasagna and a Caesar salad. The lasagna was different then any other lasagna I had ever had, but it was delicious! White sauce, fresh pasta and the Italian sausage small meatballs made this dish come together very nicely. One of the ladies had the chicken cannoli which she indicated was very good. The last meal was egg plant Parmesan which missed the mark. The reason for my 3 stars was not the food but our server. He was very aloof and not very friendly. I was very disappointed when I looked at our bill the next day and realized the glass of wine he served me was $30! The wines by the glass that I asked about were $17, but he said he had something for me to try, never mentioning how expensive it was. I would have rather had a cheaper wine. I feel he could have been more transparent.

Conveyor belt sushi restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Sushi House Banff, also known as Sushi Train, is a small and unique Japanese restaurant that offers a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes. What sets it apart is the model train that delivers the food to diners seated at the bar-style seating for up to 18 people. The train circles around a chef who prepares the dishes right in front of guests. Despite its small size, this cozy sushi bar surprises visitors with its quality and reasonable prices.
The sushi was absolutely amazing! Nothing overly fancy, just really delicious and beautifully presented. We especially loved the little train that brings the food around – such a fun and unique touch! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. My son and I ate to our hearts’ content and left feeling very happy and satisfied. He even said we had to leave a review – so here it is! A big thank you to the owners and all the staff for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and serving such tasty food. We’ll definitely be back!

Many parents brought their kids to try the food, and I saw lots of fun parent-child interactions. The server from Hong Kong was very friendly, and the chef worked quickly, ensuring no one went hungry for long.
Adele L — Google review
Real sushi fan (and picky) so scoured the reviews and found this tiny gem downtown ! Cosy decor gives an authentic feel - as if I were in Japan. The lady sushi chef was charming and she even gave me an extra piece of maguro (usually two pieces per serve, she gave us three) after I made my orders in broken Japanese 😅. The sushi is prepared in front of you, the rice is still warm and hand rolled (not from a mould), the hamachi/ scallop/ octopus are tasty as if from home (they said sourced from Japan), salmon is not sockeye but still tasty, red tuna came from a sealed pack. The rolls are perfectly pressed, not too hard. We ate around 14 items and were really full, altogether under 120$. That’s cheaper than the other restaurants we have tried in Banff. Will come again after brushing up on my Japanese !! Also many varieties comparable to any sushi shops back home.
Mommy M — Google review
Your trains are in an unacceptable state of cleanliness. This reflects poorly on your company and, more importantly, poses potential health and safety concerns. You need to take immediate action to clean and maintain your trains. If this is not addressed promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter to Transport Canada’s Rail Safety division.
Bradley W — Google review
This place is not to be missed! The sushi is fantastic, the train is awesome, definitely an experience you should not pass up. We went for lunch today on our way out of Banff, on our way to Lake Louise, and we are already planning to come back in a few days on our way back home! It was all good, but the spicy scallop, atomic tuna, eel sushi, and scallop sushi were outstanding. The staff was super nice and we can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful experience! the food is delicious (I loved the sushi train), the service is amagazine, you can see the chef doing the meals and he cares if everyone is enjoying the meals or if you want any sushi of the menu, he can prepares it asap. I will definitely come back!

Ramen restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Ramen Arashi Banff is a hidden gem located on the third floor of the Sundance Mall, known only to locals. The compact cafe space offers a delightful ramen experience with a variety of options, including vegetarian versions. Despite its unassuming appearance, this restaurant keeps patrons coming back for more with its piping hot bowls of Japanese-style ramen made from traditional and fresh ingredients.
Great food, service and prices :) If youre looking for flavorful, authentic ramen, this is the place to be! I dont remember what its called, but the chicken and rice bowl was simple but good. The large is definitely more of a meal size rather than the smaller size would be. Got there around 4-4:30, so there was no wait at all. It started getting busier around 5:30 when we were leaving.
Jess — Google review
Good portion size and decent taste. I have it a 4 stars only because the tofu add on to my ramen had a weird taste like it’s spoiled or not fresh… I ordered the arashi signature ramen, and it’s VERY spicy, the broth especially. The service was great and attentive despite being so busy. There’s quite a bit of a wait time since it’s fully packed.
Coline — Google review
There was a line prior to coming but we were prepared for that. Easily worth the wait and the bad reviews sound like bad planning on the other reviewers part. I cant speak for any other items on their menu but I was looking for a Tonkotsu base ramen and their signature Arashi may have been the best ramen I've had to date. I eat quite a lot of tonkotsu ramen and this was very creamy and rich with lots of flavour. Portions were excellent. Staff were friendly and kind. Also Japanese staff working here as well so very authentic. Not sure why it took me so long to try the ramen here as I regularly visit Banff living in Calgary, but I'll always come here before I leave.
JP T — Google review
This is a really popular Ramen restaurant in Banff and located right on the Banff Avenue (2nd floor of the Sundance Mall). We ordered Seaweed salad, Arashi and Veg Miso Ramen. While the Arashi was really good, their veg miso ramen was not that tasty. If you are looking to have a veg Ramen, I won’t recommend this place. Otherwise, I would totally recommend it. The service is really good. If visiting at the peak times, you may have to wait in a queue.
Neeraj G — Google review
Great small hole in the wall ramen shop. Don’t let the hole in the wall fool you. They are mighty in flavor. They have simple menu selection. Makes it easy to order. We ordered seafood ramen and their signature ramen. Both were delicious. We added extra toppings cause we were hungry. Their char siew for the ramen was very tasty. The restaurant has limited seating. They have a bench outside for folks waiting. Kitchen is by the entrance when you walk in and you can see their action.
Michael Y — Google review
Got recommended this place by two of my friends, so I had to come find out what the hype is about. We felt the popularity right away when there was a long line out the door looking like a 45 minute wait. They also had a sign saying they ran out of pork chashu unfortunately. With our stomachs rumbling we decided to do takeout instead and had our food in 20 minutes. We got an Arashi & Tonkotsu ramen with karaage and they were both INCREDIBLE. My girlfriend is usually a pretty slow eater but she was crushing her bowl (although we were also really hungry so that probably played a factor as well haha) I would say Toronto definitely has comparable ramen to this place but this was an S tier bowl of ramen.
Andy L — Google review
Food .. 1000 Service.. 1000 Atmosphere...authentic If you love ramen or just barely like it...YOU need to RUN to Ramen Arashi. The lovers of ramen will want to live next door to this place, the non lovers will change their minds and become absolute fans of ramen. If there is a line..WAIT, you will not be disappointed. We stood in line with 3 people ahead of us and only waited 15-20 minutes. We were only in Banff for 4 nights and we ate here twice, it would have been 4 times but we didn't come across this quaint little restaurant until our 3rd night. My husband got the Spicy Tonkatsu and the miso tonkatsu. I got the veggie tantan both nights. Again...YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE.

We had dinner at Ramen Arashi in Banff and were blown away by how good the food was—easily some of the best ramen I’ve had in a long time. During our meal, there was a minor accident, but the way the staff and management handled it was truly impressive. They addressed it immediately, offered fair compensation, and showed a level of professionalism that deserves recognition. Great food, great service, and a team that genuinely cares. Highly recommend if you're in Banff and craving quality ramen.

Nestled in the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Maclab Bistro is a hidden gem offering a serene dining experience with scenic views of Sulphur to Cascade Mountain. While not in downtown Banff, this airy restaurant and bar is worth the visit for its eclectic eats, including specialty burgers. The patio boasts ample furniture and an outdoor fireplace, creating a perfect ambiance. Although pets are not allowed on the patio, there's a dog-friendly greenspace nearby with picnic tables.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was loud and busy, and gorgeous 😍 views. Sometimes the waitresses forget about you and talk to each other and you have to wave them down to get continuous service on busy nights. They are friendly though and are courteous

The views at this restaurant really stole the show. The food was AMAZING and the menu had good variety for whatever mood you’re in. The wait staff was super friendly and offered great service, but they were a little inattentive, so if you need their attention or the check, just wave them down and they’ll usually be pretty quick to respond. When I went it was a Saturday at 6pm in May and it was really quiet, not super busy and had sports games, pool, and again an amazing patio with stunning views. It really hit the spot for us, and it supports the creative arts center which was a win. Would recommend!

Honestly amazing food!! It was such a nice restaurant and surprisingly not busy at all on a holiday weekend. The food was probably the best food we had all trip! Overall, great experience, and we would definitely come back!!

Everything is better than expected. Food portions is big enough and tastes good. The burger is very juicy and the Chicken Salad Bowl with perfect dressing, I pretty like the cheese on top. We also ordered hot chocolate and hot latte. The scene is just amazing. No long queue and free parking space

Super interesting place to have a meal. It’s a must do and a hidden gem. The setting is stunning. And you will rub elbows with wait staff on summer work visas from all over the world … really Australia. And you may get to interface with artists and students or hotel residents of the Banff Center of the arts. The dining room does get bright in the summer - bring your sunnies 😎. I had the tofu sushi rice that comes with vegetables with miso sauce and a fried chip on top. It’s interesting. The desert was avocado chocolate cake which was quite good with blueberry reduction and chocolate pieces. You will feel energized in a nice setting overlooking the Mount Norquay resort. The setting reminds me a bit of that James Bond Spectre movie set in the alps.

A cute restaurant tucked away from the busy area of Banff. A beautiful view if you sit on the patio but still a great view through the windows. The food was incredible, as a celiac I had no worries about the food here. I ordered chicken strips and fries. (They use a gluten free dedicated fryer) Then for dessert their chocolate cake was absolutely perfect for wrapping up the night. Trust me, for a small cake serving it is more than enough.

We’ve been visiting Maclab Bistro for years, and it never disappoints. This visit was no exception—fantastic food as always, and the dessert was a standout: beautifully presented, absolutely delicious, and worthy of its own spotlight (video attached!). The staff are consistently accommodating and friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Perched above Banff, the bistro offers stunning nighttime views of the city and Sulphur Mountain—an unforgettable backdrop to an already memorable meal.

My wife and I thought this might be a bit less busy than the centre of Banff for a coffee and cake in the afternoon. It was well worth the 20 minute walk from town (although there's plenty of parking so we could have driven). What a view. A lovely spacious air conditioned space with breathtaking views all round. Staff were friendly and prices seemed surprisingly reasonable to me given the location. This place really deserves to be busier. Coffee and pastries for two cost me $19 including tip. Pastries were delicious and coffee was good. I saw other patrons eating meals and the food looked good. We're planning on returning for a meal so will update review after that.

I loved this shop. Plenty of seats in a very cozy lounge setting. Good breakfast options. Also a great place to pick up some last minute souvenirs like maple syrup and chocolates. Would have given 5 stars for all categories if the wait time was shorter. But overall we are glad that we decided to come for a bite before driving back to Edmonton.

I ordered a lavender honey latte and was patiently waiting at one of the window seats. I noticed one of the baristas make a hot drink and set it at the drink stand. She took the drink ticket and placed it on the metal stick where the finished drink tickets go. She then continued to talk to her coworker. No name was called out and I waited a few minutes until I had to go up myself and look at the drink ticket pile to see if it was my drink. I found this odd because prior drinks the barista would call out the persons name.. other than that the lavender honey latte was good

Ordered 2 Cappuccinos, apple juice and a lemonade! This was on our way to parking, where we had few minutes left on our ticket…also, bought playing card… Then waited…about 5 personnel were working and engaged…but no news of my order! I went and bought two tea boxes also…so paying like 100$ and yet, order not ready! They asked me, are you waiting for something!!?! I said yes!!! So, at least one person jumped on it while the other was in denial mode! Shouting Gregory! Gregory! one of the personnel looked at me, “are you Gregory?” I was like, “if I was, I would have picked up my order! I am clearly not”! From that, I noticed the crew lacks experience… Anyways finally the lady who jumped on the issue, checked with Cashier, noticed nothing was communicated in the system, prepared the order and gave to me! And we got late for our parking exit!

Shoku Izakaya is a laid-back restaurant in Banff, offering a mix of Japanese and Pan-Asian cuisine. Led by renowned chef Stephane Prevost, this izakaya-style eatery presents an array of authentic dishes such as sushi, ramen, grilled skewers, and takoyaki. The cozy space is adorned with delicate paper lanterns, creating a Tokyo-inspired ambiance.
I have been to many a Japanese restaurants all over the world. I love sushi. So I was very surprised to find this little gem one night. Service was great, sushi was fantastic. Fresh cuts of sashimi and nigiri. The negitoro roll was good. Thick cuts of fish and value wise very good. On top of that their ice cream (although not homemade) of black sesame and red bean was one of the best I have ever had. We were only a table of 4. Dinner was so good, I brought our entire family of 14 back later in the week. Again great service for our 2nd time there, they are run like a well oiled machine. All the appetizers we had, agedashi tofu, chicken karaage (great batter and so tender), meat skewers, pork belly buns, hamachi Kama, etc were really good. And of course the star of the menu, their sushi, everyone agreed was fantastic. Everyone had ice cream, and some like myself ordered 2. Drinks were great. Never heard of chocolate sake, but it’s like drinking Nutella, according to my wife who enjoyed it. This was by far the best restaurant we tried in Banff.

We came to Banff for my birthday weekend, and we were told “you have to try Shoku.” And it absolutely did not disappoint. I’m a very picky eater, and I wanted one of everything on the menu! It’s very apparent a lot of thought has gone into the menu and the food - and it’s served as soon as it’s ready so we were able to eat the whole time we were there. The drinks are amazing! Perfect portion sizes. Everything was so fresh. And extremely reasonably priced for Banff! I would make the 3 hour trip from home just to eat at Shoku again. Service was top notch and the atmosphere didn’t miss! Such a cute little sit down restaurant and we loved every minute of our dining experience! Hats off to you guys!

Shoku Izakaya completely blew me away. This place is everything you want after a long, rainy day — comforting, flavourful, and full of heart. We stopped in after a full day of hiking in the rain, and honestly, I’m so sad I can’t come back regularly! We had the daily ramen special with tender pork belly — rich, soothing, and exactly what I needed. I added a bit of spice for a kick, and it was perfection. The spicy calamari? Unreal. Crispy, seasoned just right, and easily one of the best I’ve had. We also grabbed some sushi to go 🍣, and even that was impressive — fresh, well-made, and held up beautifully for a late-night bite. Add in a couple of drinks, amazing service, and a cozy atmosphere, and you’ve got yourself the perfect spot. You can tell the team genuinely cares — every detail is done with love. If you’re anywhere near, Shoku Izakaya is a MUST. I’d go back in a heartbeat if I could.

Great food, skewers a bit pricey for what they are but sushi was really good and nice portion for price. Would recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. Highly recommend the ika (squid) skewer, it was the best squid I ever had, super soft and has a slightly spicy flavor.

Ordered daily ramen (tantan), aburi salmon roll, karaage bowl, takoyaki, and curry rice. Curry was quite salty. Karaage's skin was delicious, but the veggies were so-so. Takoyaki has only a small tako in it. Food was good but didn't exactly blow our minds. Staff was really friendly, she checked on us a few times all sweet and smiles!

Food was fresh and really tasty, just a bit pricey. Service was lovely and super quick. I was honestly a little disappointed they didn’t have ramen on the dinner menu since that’s what I came for, but hopefully I’ll get to try it next time!

One should first be aware that this is more of a Japanese-fusion place, but once that’s out of the way the food is brilliantly conceived and executed. Lots of local produce on the menu that is smartly put together as well as some old Japanese favourites (eg black cod) that all hits the spot. Service was good and got us a table quickly around 8:30pm.

Incredible food. So tasty. Good quick service as well, though we were early for dinner- just at the end of happy hour (got a beer in for $6- Banff Ave ipa- of course they also have the Japanese lagers and lots of sake). We had some nigiri and the Korean fried chicken. Fresh fish with ample portions. The chicken was perfect - crispy outside- so tender inside- awesome flavour. Friendly staff!

This establishment was brought to life by a group of local friends and colleagues who are passionate about arts and culture. The venue features a live entertainment stage where visitors can enjoy regular live shows, from music performances to drag shows and cabarets.
Fantastic cocktails and a pleasantly surprising array of flavors. I quite liked the frog legs. Don’t come across them that often and the beet Wellington was very unique. What an interesting take on a classic. The duck was also very nice. Food 9/10 Service 9/10 Atmosphere 9/10 Value 8/10

Where to start? My wife and I had the good fortune to stumble onto this restaurant during our visit to Banff. Although restaurants and bars are plentiful on the strip in Banff Village, after visiting several of them during our stay, I can confidently say that there are few others that offer the charm, quality and level of service that The Radiant does. The menu is extensive and creative, yet very accessible. My wife and I have certain dietary restrictions, which sometimes makes it hard for us to find restaurants that can accomodate us. That being said, the menu at The Radiant has many Gluten Free, vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered the grilled octopus, the beet tartare, the cajun Halibut, as well as a summer salad. Each and every plate is well composed and delicious. To top it off, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We had the chance to meet owner, who is very down-to-earth, passionate and helpful. He took the time to check on us throughout dinner and gave us several hiking recommendations for the rest of our stay. The name of this restaurant is very fitting, as we look forward to coming back soon! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Super cute restaurant located on the downtown Banff strip. They have this awesome deal before 7pm where you can get a drink and 2 small dishes for $20. Such a steal (this was the deal we went in for). We were quick to be seated even though we were walk in. The food was REALLY good especially for the price. The beef carpaccio was rich and creamy, beet tartare was nice and refreshing, confit duck wings were very flavourful and well balanced with the daikon. The tuna tartare was the most underwhelming of them all but still tasty. Wished they had more tuna though because it seem like they had more avocado and cucumber. The staff were great. Made the experience very enjoyable.

Incredible experience! Every detail was well thought out from the food pairings, plating and very well balanced cocktails. Allergy and intolerance friendly with many GF and V options. Attentive and polite staff. Best of all was the patio seating on the street facing the mountain. Only downfall was the 3 pieces of chicken with 4 waffles. Amazing otherwise!

Was a dining & entertainment highlight for sure while we were visiting Banff. The Cabaret show was 10/10 (Brilliance Burlesque). We ordered the vegan cheese board, fries, pretzels and many many cocktails (every one is so different so can work your way through the menu) & had room for some vegan dessert too. The staff and service were all friendly even though we went the weekend everything opened up again they did a really good job. The venue itself is beautiful as well. Overall it was a great evening.

We really loved this restaurant and bar. The staff is friendly, menu is rich (not everything is available for lunch though- that sucks coz I really wanted to try their dinner menu). Food is delicious and a big selection of cocktails!

Fabulous place with a focus on shared plates. Everything was incredible and they have a fantastic GF selection. Personal favourites were the Leprawn James and the Tandoori Chicken and Waffles. If you want to build your own charcuterie board, the truffle salami is a must!!
Harry C — Google review
This was a beautiful experience! I was drawn in by the art deco feel and the sign that said they were inclusive of everyone... In Banff you don't see that too often which was a nice change. I had lunch which was great (get the truffle Parm fries!) and we came back for dinner and drinks! Great cocktails, great food and greats service!!! Get the short rib... It's fall off the bone... We are definitely coming back! Once COVID is over I look forward to seeing some shows and coming for a drag brunch!

Banff Social is a recently renovated spot on Bear Street that aims to capture the essence of Banff's local culture and community. The staff are engaging and create a welcoming atmosphere, while the food receives high praise, particularly the lamb kabob. The restaurant features a unique menu with fresh ingredients and flavorful dishes not found elsewhere in Banff. It offers a quieter setting with a great patio and friendly staff, making it an accommodating choice for both vegetarians and meat lovers alike.
After a long drive from Kamloops, I was really looking forward to a good meal. I visited Social for dinner and had a fantastic experience! Although I'd seen other reviews mention cold food, my burger came out hot and was delicious. The side of tomato soup was also really good. My only small critique is that the burger could have used just a little more sauce. The Strawberry Smash cocktail was a real highlight. It was so refreshing and perfectly balanced; I could have easily had a few more! The service was perfectly fine; my server was friendly. I'll definitely be back for sure one day when I'm in town.

We went here after we went to the visitor center, and the lady behind the desk recommended this place for dinner. We were at the in-between time so we basically had the whole place to ourselves. We sat inside, but they had a nice balcony that you could sit out on on the second floor. Service was amazing. He even talked to us for a while since we were one of the only tables there at the time. Food was absolutely delicious. My mom had the chicken sandwich. I had the bison burger I believe. One of the best burgers ever! If I’m ever in Banff again, I will definitely go here again.

Banff Social has a great atmosphere with lots of energy, perfect for a night out in Banff. The food overall was enjoyable, and the cocktails were excellent. We tried the bison sirloin steak – while it was well-prepared, it was a bit too tender for my taste. Service was friendly and attentive, though it can get a little busy at times. Overall, still a solid spot to enjoy good food and drinks in a lively setting.

Good food and service. We didnt get Sam however,Jesse was just as awesome! We had the fritters, olives, goat cheese something with bread for apps and the elk steak, tomato soup and Salmon for entrees. None of them disappointed but none stood out either. Most drinks were fine except for the old fashioned that was a complete miss! All in all a good choice for a Father's day dinner! Food-4 Drinks-4 Service-5.

It's my first time in Banff and I'm severely celiac - gluten allergy. Which makes finding a safe place to eat a bit tricky. But from the moment we walked in, all the staff was so welcoming and so sure they could accommodate me. In total, we interacted with 4 of the staff members. I was nervous, as I always am, as not everyone in past restaurants have really understood the challenge. But this team was exceptional, especially our server Pattie!!!! Matt and the management team are very lucky to have her on staff!!!! Pattie explained that even though less gluten free options were listed on the menu, they could modify many of the dishes to be safe. And she explained exactly how they would modify each dish when I wanted additional assurance they understood. I had the pasta dish (modified) to start, and then I had a gluten free & vegan chocolate mousse for dessert. Both were delicious!!!! And I did not get sick so that means they did a great job keeping me safe. I went with 4 friends who don't have allergies, and they all loved their meals. Pattie was so attentive, proactive offering things before we asked, regularly checked in to see if we needed anything else, didn't rush us at all when we took a bit of extra visiting while eating our desserts. At every opportunity, you could tell she was looking for ways to make our experience as special as possible. What a great place to celebrate my birthday. And the atmosphere & ambience itself of the restaurant itself was beautiful. We felt like VIPs from beginning to end! Thank you so much Pattie & team!!!

If history - and especially taxidermy - is of interest to you, this is a great little museum to check out. And interesting to learn that the owner of the house did all the taxidermy himself including the handles on the carving set in the dining room. (NOTE: My original intention was to see the Banff Park Museum National Historic Site which is known for its vintage taxidermy exhibits showcasing the diverse wildlife of the region, including bears, elk, wolves, deer, and moose. Unfortunately it is not open on Wednesdays when I was visiting but one of the locals recommended the Luxton Home which was a great backup plan for me.)

Hankki in Banff is a Calgary-based Korean restaurant located on Buffalo Street, offering affordable and delicious Korean food. The menu features popular items like corndogs with options like mozzarella sausage combo and the 'ugly potato,' which is coated in potatoes. Customers praise the great prices, quick service, and incredible flavors made with fresh ingredients. The Korean BBQ cupbop and honey butter fries are highly recommended dishes.
It was a great restaurant in Banff town with reasonable pricing. For about $15 or under of a rice bowl, I got plenty of food. We came on a Sunday during lunch time and the restaurant was crowded, but we didn't have to wait for a long time to get the food. Food was fresh and tasted delicious! They also sell dessert, which I didn't try but they looked good! Will definitely come back again and try their dessert!

Good fast food. Small area with little seating inside, but there's a long bench along the outside under an overhang. Seems to be quality fresh ingredients. I liked the glass window into the small kitchen area so you can see your meal being put together. We tried the level 1 spicy sauce which had a bit of a bite. Depending on how hungry, one large bowl was good to share for two. All the rice is at the bottom, so mix well if you don't want to finish with just rice.

Went here on a Tuesday night. Ordered 2 bowls and some honey buttered fries. The bowls were quite tasty and good value. The fries were a little strange since they had a sweet taste to it. Could not finish the fries. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Then got a mango bingsu for dessert which was delicious! Would definitely recommend this place. Tastes very authentic.

When in Banff, make sure to visit the iconic Banff Town Sign located on the outskirts of the town. This picturesque spot not only offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains but also serves as a gateway to an adventure-filled experience in the Canadian Rockies. While some may see it as just a photo opportunity, others view it as an Instagram-worthy spot that marks the beginning or end of their trip.
The sign is very easy to spot, guiding visitors directly to the location, though it's unfortunate that there are no nearby parking spots available. Banff, the charming little town, is undeniably beautiful, with its picturesque streets and stunning natural surroundings. However, as time passes, it's becoming increasingly commercialized, which somewhat detracts from its original, quaint appeal. While the town still retains much of its natural beauty and charm, one can't help but notice how the growing number of businesses and developments are starting to change the atmosphere, making it feel less like a serene retreat and more like a busy tourist hub. Still, it remains a lovely destination, but it’s hard to ignore how much it has evolved in recent years.

DUANE L — Google review
A pretty place where the name of the town is well cut against the forest background. It makes a good memory of a visit to these places. The sign is not far from the station where there is a parking lot. Generally not too many people on this site but if you visit on weekends, there is a wait of around 10-20 minutes. We went on a weekend and there was traffic right there on the spot. I heard that they will be moving the sign for safety of the people.
Gursimran S — Google review
This place was really up to its hype. I was born in Nepal and the mountains and tracking is in my blood, I didn't expect to have a similar thrill here at this scenic location.

The Banff Gondola offers a serene ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. At the summit, visitors can stroll out to a grassy bluff overlooking Banff town and marvel at the majestic mountains. The gondola ascends in just eight minutes, leading to observation decks and boardwalks at the peak. Additionally, guests can enjoy dining at Sky Bistro, an upscale restaurant with stunning mountain vistas.
The Banff Gondola is absolutely worth the ride. The views as you ascend Sulphur Mountain are breathtaking, and once at the top, the panorama of Banff, the Bow Valley, and surrounding peaks is unforgettable. The boardwalk along the ridge is easy and offers different vantage points—every few steps feels like a new postcard shot. The visitor center at the summit is modern and well designed, with interactive exhibits, a rooftop observation deck, and a café/restaurant where you can sit and take in the scenery. It’s family-friendly, and you can spend anywhere from an hour to half a day exploring, depending on how much walking you want to do. If possible, go at sunset—the colors over the mountains are magical. The gondola is a bit pricey, but the experience and views make it worthwhile.

Must Go when in Banff! Great activity with kids!! Super easy hike! I was with my 2 little ones in June. Amazing views all around! May not be wheelchair friendly for the hike but still see the view from the building! Super clean, easy, and safe! If you get lucky you will see some animals!! Highly Recommend for anyone and families!

Loved this! The gondola ride was great. The view from the top is amazing! The actual trails at the top were closed when visited but there was still space and short trail to walk at the top to enjoy the view. There also an outdoor restaurant at the top. Small line to enter the gondola ride but moved quickly. The staff were also really friendly. Would recommend checking ticket prices online and if trails are open prior to going.

The Banff Gondola is one of the most iconic experiences in the Canadian Rockies, offering breathtaking panoramic views and exceptional opportunities for photography. Located just a short drive from downtown Banff, the gondola takes visitors to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, where six mountain ranges unfold in every direction. The journey itself lasts only a few minutes, but the scenery evolves dramatically as you ascend — from dense evergreen forests to rugged alpine peaks. At the top, photographers will find a series of viewing platforms and the Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk, a scenic trail leading to the Cosmic Ray Station. Every step along this ridge provides a new composition — sweeping valleys, glacial rivers, and the charming town of Banff nestled far below. The light changes quickly at this altitude, making sunrise and sunset particularly magical times to visit. The summit complex, known as the Banff Gondola Upper Terminal, features indoor observation decks, interpretive exhibits, and a rooftop terrace perfect for wide-angle landscape shots. For those who enjoy combining photography with fine dining, the Sky Bistro offers spectacular window views alongside locally inspired cuisine. Winter adds another dimension to the experience: snow-covered peaks, soft golden light, and the contrast of white landscapes against deep blue skies. In summer, the air is crisp and clear, revealing endless layers of the Rockies — a dream setting for both casual photographers and professionals. The Banff Gondola is more than just a ride — it’s an invitation to see the Canadian Rockies from their most majestic angle. Whether you’re capturing vast landscapes, dramatic skies, or intimate mountain details, this location rewards every photographer with unforgettable imagery.

The 2200 foot climb with 2- 4 seat gondola cabins is a must do on any bucket list. There are 3 restaurants at the top. A cafe with plenty of eats and bevies, a buffet style restaurant with an amazing aray of food items and desserts, and the Sky Bistro. The reward at the top are the stunning mountain views. I encourage you to take the boardwalk to the peak. Dress appropriately and proper footwear suggested.

What a magnificent view and experience when you get up there. We went there when it was snowing so it was wet. Might want to bring a pancho in case it t snow or rains. We bought ticket online and printed out our ticket. We also bought a package for dinner at the Sky Bistro as well highly recommend it. We were here in early November and it was not a lot of people at all. We drove up to their parking area. There are 2 parking area. You will need to pay for the national park pass to park there. You can also take a bus from the city. The gondola ride is pretty easy. Seats 4 per gondola. Before you get to the gondola, you will go through a line and they will take a picture for souvenirs. It is the same as when you come down from the mountain. Trying to sell you the experience. When you get up to the top, there is a four story building with exhibits. There is a theater as well. They only complain is I wish they would have documentary about the history of the mountains and the weather station. The hike to the weather station is pretty easy. It is boardwalk all the way up and downstairs if you go during the snow, make sure to dress appropriately and have good shoes for traction. On the fourth floor, there is an observatory deck which you can sit out, and there was fireplace that you can stand around when it’s cold. There is a Starbucks and gift shop down at the valley where you start your gondola ride. I saw two restaurants and a coffee shop and a gift shop at the top of the mountain. Overall cleanliness of the building is very good. All the staffs that works there are very friendly and nice and helpful. Highly recommend buying a promotional gondola ride and a restaurant experience at the Sky Bistro.

The Banff Gondola is pure magic — an experience that makes you feel on top of the world (literally). From the moment the gondola lifts off, you’re rising above the trees, watching the valleys and peaks open up below you. The ride is smooth and surprisingly quick, but the views unfold like a movie — every angle more breathtaking than the last. At the top, you’re standing at one of the highest accessible points in Canada, with panoramic views that truly make you feel small in the best way possible. Snow-capped peaks, endless forests, crisp mountain air — it’s nature showing off. Tips for travelers: • Bring layers — it’s much colder and windier at the summit than at the base. • Take your time at the top. There are walking paths and lookout platforms that are worth every step. • Even if you’ve seen photos online, nothing compares to being there in person. This isn’t just a ride; it’s an essential Banff experience. If you want to see the Canadian Rockies in their full glory, the gondola is a must. 📍 Banff Gondola — a ride to the sky, and a memory you’ll never forget. #MichelleGoesGlobal

The gondola ride was so beautiful to see the views while riding up was amazing! I am afraid of heights so it was a little scary lol but I was so glad I did it! The views were worth it and getting to the top and hiking sulfur mountain was an experience to remember! It was sprinkling and the sun was out there was a rainbow. It was so incredible! When we got to the top of the mtn the rain turned into snow flurries it was so pretty. It didn't take long to hike and seeing the areas we went to the days prior was super cool to see from this view. Once we got back to the Gondola area the views from the skydeck was pretty and there was a station to color a post card, which was a fun experience with my daughter. We then had dinner at the Sky Bistro, which was a must. Def make reservations ahead of time cause you don't want to miss the amazing food! This whole experience is a must if you are visiting Banff National Park!

The Fat Ox in Banff is a stunning and chic restaurant with a fantastic ambiance. The interior boasts beautiful lighting, stylish furniture, and just the right volume of music. The service is top-notch, with servers like Jayce and Pete providing excellent recommendations and engaging in playful banter. The owner, Vern, clearly pours his heart and soul into the establishment.
We (table of 4) ordered 3 Sunday Supper, a slow braised pork & scallops and a shrimp fezzoletti and they were INCREDIBLE! The garlic bread was the BEST I have ever tasted: It has the perfect texture with the precise amount of garlic butter (& real garlic on top as well). Their squash was also really good despite not being the star of the dish! The pumpkin seeds in the slow braised pork added a layer of texture to the dish which I liked. The short rib and the sausage were amazing in the gravy with just the right amount of spice! 10/10

It was lovely here! We had dinner after a hard hike, and it was before supper rush so it wasn't too busy. The service was wonderful and the food amazing! We got Elk Meatballs for starter, Wild Boar Chop and Artic Char for main, and since it was my birthday, one dessert was on the house! My husband had an affogato and I had the white chocolate espresso pudding? (Can't remember the real name). Would come again!

We ordered from their happy hour menu. The portions were a bit small, but the prices were reasonable. The shrimp scampi was delicious, and the elk meatballs were beyond my expectations! I honestly thought I wouldn’t like them, but they turned out so good, definitely a 10/10 for both. After happy hour, we also tried the black linguine vongole pasta, which was really tasty, especially if you love clams and lamb. My husband had the Wild Boar Chop. It tasted a bit plain at first, but once we added the honey berry sauce, it was so much better. We'd rate both dishes a 9/10. I also tried their Berry Lemonade Spirit Free drink. It's super refreshing and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I’ve ever had. Also, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, which made our Banff dining experience even better. Highly recommended.

We popped in for dinner yesterday, a group of four. Can I just say how fabulous this place is. From the welcoming atmosphere to fantastic service and a delightful menu, there is very few things I can say I disliked. My daughter and I had ordered the special, a 3 course meal, and some cocktails. We started with a pear salad, then a pumpkin ravioli and ended with vanilla crème brûlée. I do believe that the starter and the main could have used a bit more tang - the salad dressing of olive oil and vinaigrette ratio was a wee bit off and the sauce of the ravioli would have done well with a splash of balsamic. Their crème brûlée on the other hand, why I don’t know if I’ve ever had one so delightful. The topping of cranberry compote and roasted hazelnuts sold us on the first bite. My daughter can’t stop talking about it! Over all the experience was lovely. Next time I find myself in Banff this’ll be on the list of places to go!

Our first meal in Banff was at The Fat Ox, and it was a great start to our vacation -- the Sunday ravioli special with fried sage and pumpkin seeds and butternut squash was luscious, comforting, and tasty, and my mom loved her lamb fazzoletti. But it was the shrimp scampi that really floored us. It was so delicious, my mom wouldn't shut up about it. The sauce was spicy and garlicky, and the slab of fried focaccia underneath absorbed it all so it was oozy but still crisp -- I just wish they gave us more focaccia to "fare la scarpetta" with it. We came back for happy hour before we left Banff just so we could eat it one last time -- a yummy start and end to our trip~

We stopped by Fat Ox while visiting Banff and decided to try the Carbonara and Bison Tagliatelle. Service was solid—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The Carbonara didn’t quite land for us. The eggs came out more like scrambled eggs than a smooth sauce, which made it feel overcooked and a bit off from what we expected. The Bison Tagliatelle, though, was a win—great texture, rich flavor, and nicely balanced. Overall, it’s a stylish spot with good service. Just wish the Carbonara had been executed with a bit more finesse.

Absolutely delicious Italian dishes enjoyed by my husband and I who were looking to take a break from our campground meals while vacationing near Banff. Liam was our server who was not only personable and a delight to talk to but took good care in his service. Liam, you're a gem! The dishes we ordered were perfection and not oversalted like most restaurants tend to do. The portion size was just right as well. The atmosphere was loud for me, with dance music and loud people, but I just like things more low key, and everyone was just having a great time, I wouldn't discourage anyone from going because the food and service was well worth it. When on vacation, too many times we've been disappointed with a bad meal but not The Fat Ox! Delicious!!

Bow Falls is a must-visit destination in Banff, offering some of the most stunning views in the area. While it can get crowded and parking may be a challenge, the beauty of the falls makes it worth the visit. The trails around Bow Falls provide beautiful scenery and there are benches and Adirondack chairs along the way to relax and take in the breathtaking views. Although not as large as some might expect, this impressive stretch of water is definitely worth exploring.
Beautiful trails and views. There are quite a few benches along the trails if you need a break there are red Adirondack chairs in peaceful and scenic locations to take a break. Breathtaking views.

Beautiful, small falls with very powerful and swift running water. A maintained trail, paved with railroad tie steps. The steps can be muddy but it's worth hiking at least one way along the trail. The falls and river are gorgeous!

Beautiful days ahead. Go out for a walk, hike or even stroll. A cool place very close to Calgary. I’ve been there plenty of time and every time go there, it makes me feel so fresh.

Beautiful small falls, There is no bathroom near. Very difficult to find parking, which is usual in Banff. Very easy trail, everyone can get there. Many chairs during the trail. And so beautiful place to relax.

I got married here years ago and I love coming here. It is crowded, parking can be pain and water is cold af so do not jump there. But it is very much worth visiting as it's one of the most beautiful places in Banff.

Beautiful, pleasant stroll. Incline, stairs and tree roots later in the trail

Worth a visit. Impressive stretch of water with good view points. River walk from downtown Banff takes about 30minutes.

It's the second best thing after Lake Louis. It's not that big enough to be called a falls but the view that follows after the falls that is amazing.

The atmosphere is friendly and nostalgic, with interactive events such as Paint Nights, Bingo Thursdays, and Free Pool Fridays adding to the fun.
Had a lovely time on Saturday night. The band was great and the drinks were cold. Thanks for having us from #43 Pincher Creek.

This is the worst place in banff i have ever been, food it's pretty mid and not worth the price and the staff its so unfriendly and serve you like they are mad at you for been there, the treatment that they gave to us just completely ruined our day, There are many other places in banff that i would recommend to go but this place its not one of them.

Thank you for the warm hospitality from Frankie, the bar tender and the gang at the bar for make us feel very welcomed.

Excellent hang-out for veterans or civilians. Professional, courteous service, very nice food (the Reuben sandwich is the best in the Bow Valley) and low key entertainments such as Bingo on Thursdays and the traditional Legion Meat Draw on Saturday afternoons with a live musician playing old favourites.

Okay, it's been a few years since I visited. I used to sneak out of the Banff Springs to just relax. Keep in mind, my meals at the Springs were included but I got tired of $50.00 meals. The legion was my go to. Amazing button bones and inexpensive 🍺. beer
John M — Google review
A very nice and comfortable place to enjoy a beer and a game of pool. Great location close to the river and parking.
Adrian B — Google review
Visited for a Paint night and it took a while for the food, even just to get a plain cup of coffee it took almost 10 mins, the short ribs are yummy
Melody S — Google review
Not an all around bad spot for a cold beer and an quick & easy burger , it’s the legion , expect grumpy old men/women and you won’t be disappointed!
