L'Hermitage Gantois, Autograph Collection is a luxurious 15th-century hotel located in the heart of Lille. It is housed in a former hospice and offers a blend of traditional style with modern amenities. The guest rooms feature Louis XV-style oak panels, original tiled floors, and fireplaces alongside Philippe Starck furniture and carrera marble bathrooms.
A truly unique stay experience From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff, who personally accompanied us to our room and gave us a brief tour of the property. The hotel has a fascinating history—it was originally founded as a hospice in 1462 and was renovated into a hotel about 20 years ago. Within the building, there’s a beautiful chapel and an elegant hall, perfect for family or company events. Our room was decorated in a classic style, featuring wooden frames, tasteful paintings, and plenty of space. It truly felt like stepping into a different era. The facility is a bit old though, given it’s renovated 20 years ago. A bit drawback is the hotel doesn’t have its own parking lot, so need to park nearby alongside the road, luckily it’s Easter holiday so totally free. Overall we had a very pleasant stay here, hope this hidden gem can be discovered by more travelers!

This hotel is great but still I wonder why some hotels got 5 stars when some stuff are at that level: - Shower has not a good pressure its terrible - The pool is not that great. I mean, it is surrounded by mirrors that are all not clean and the noise in there is crazy. This can’t be 5 stars - In a 5 stars hotel I expect the beds to be absolutely perfect which is not. They are more on “the used side” then on the “new”side” All in all don’t get me wrong, its a good hotel. But I am just wondering how much we have to pay to get a real 5 stars.

I had an incredible stay at the hotel after a couple of years. The service and staff were exceptional. I want to express my gratitude to Angelique for arranging my dream room. As a titanium member, I felt truly pampered. The spa pool is a marvel, and the gardens are beautiful. The serene atmosphere, nestled near a bustling city, creates a peaceful ambiance. The restaurant serves fresh and delectable food in a charming setting. The entire team deserves credit for making my stay flawless.

We stayed at L'Hermitage Gantois during our trip to follow Tour de France. It's the most impressive hotel I've ever been to. As an Autograph Collection hotel, L'Hermitage Gantois has its own unique charms that appeal to visitors who appreciate historical sites. Originally founded in 1462, it served as a hospice until 1995. Subsequently, it underwent restoration and renovation, emerging as a 5-star hotel in 2003. There’s a chapel still on the grounds of the property, adding significant character to the hotel, which I believe will be exceptionally well-suited for wedding events. Our room is on the ground floor, next to the chapel, which also granted us the privilege of accessing both courtyards within a minute. We stayed there for a few days and had dinner at their bar and restaurant twice because the cuisine was exceptionally great. 👍👍

Beautiful hotel, super huge room with all the comforts. Lots of interesting history as parts are an old church but blended with modern. Valet parking and excellent staff. Everyone so polite and helpful. They can’t do enough for you.

Nice rooms. Ours needs a new shower head and I was not impressed with the condition of our kettle. Other than that, it was a perfectly lovely place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and, would definitely return.
Celeste K — Google review
Stayed for a night for business trip. Very disappointed with few aspects while heritage factor of property i appreciate very much. In bathroom closet is unusable due to overlapping of washbasin top very close to closet resulting in highly inconvenient usage. Practically it's a safety issue which must be addressed. Also for a second water bottle in the room despite asking the response was to use the floor tap. Hotel restaurant closes early by 9 pm and hence those arriving late evening don't have much choice Absolutely no no for Vegans as room service menu does not have even a veg soup Not value for money

The building is beautiful and iconic full of history and lore. Staff are very nice. Though this hotel is very much lacking the details usually associated with a 5 star experience and hotel. We came for a romantic minimoon experience for 3 nights. Sadly there are several details that fell short for us on expectations. - Key cards repeatedly kept wiping each day and needing to go back to reception to get a new key card. On one occasion had to wait 10 mins for reception staff as there was no one on post. - Towels were not replaced when room service cleaned the room. - found it odd when the room service cleaned the room to stuff all the fancy pillows behind the TV and not lay them on the bed. - Plug points broken - Tile fell off in the bath while using due to a poorly fastened towel rack. (Screws screwed into the grouting rather than the tile itself causing it to force the tile free) - Not enough seating or hooks to hang your robes when visiting the pool. Pool side is very small and limited to first few users. - TV in room was as old as the building, no modern apps, netflix ect. Back to watching a late night movie from the laptop. Not what you'd expect for a 5 Star. - for a building with such history and intrigue a tour on arrival would really add to the experience.

Hotel
Novotel Suites Gare Lille Europe is a modern all-suite hotel located in the heart of Lille, a city that seamlessly blends old-world charm with a vibrant commercial center and rich cultural heritage. Situated in the Hauts-de-France region of northeastern France, this hotel offers contemporary accommodations with easy access to Lille Europe Train Station, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The bright and modern rooms come equipped with essential amenities, including free Wi-Fi and a fitness center.
In less than a minute one would exit the hotel to Lille Europe Station. That's a great value without any compromise on highly efficient noise-cancelling room windows. The room was luxurious with plenty of space that is properly managed. Complementary coffee and tea were placed in a sort of like miniature kitchen with its own source of water. Super clean place. I have been in constant traveling for the last 12 years. This hotel is now on my list of the places to which I will keep returning to.

I was given a room that hadn't been cleaned (sheets on the floor, etc.) The other room was dirty as (stains everywhere on the sofa, bedding, etc.) and broken (broken shower door). 4 star hotels offer 10x what you offer (even 3 star hotels do provide more). Nothing in the fridge, nothing such as toothpaste and other little things (if needed, it's always nice to know there is something in the room). The bathroom are supplied from the same supplier as F1 Hotels and B&B. I don't think we expect to walk in a plastic bathroom when we book a 4* hotel... Area is not nice at night... I didn't feel safe!! Bedding had major stains... and mattress not comfortable. I was about to walk down and go to Hilton, for a few more euros! I was happy to sit on the amount I had prepaid... I wouldn't complain if you were a 2* hotel!
Delwyn P — Google review
Just excellent. Especially liked the doubled up sets of double glassed windows. Made the room so quiet. So close to the train stations for our daily trips. Excellent staff and breakfast. Just one minor complaint, providing paper cups instead of glass ones and no cutlery in a suite with a fridge and microwave is ridiculous. Staff would only provide one glass on request so we had to share it, wierd but maybe it's a French thing.

"I'm so grateful for the exceptional service provided by Ken at the reception desk! I arrived at 2:00 am for our late check-in, and Ken was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Despite the late hour, he was patient, friendly, and efficient in handling our check-in process. His warm smile and kind demeanor made us feel right at home, even at such an ungodly hour. Ken truly goes above and beyond, and his dedication to ensuring a smooth guest experience is commendable. Thank you, Ken, for making our late-night arrival a breeze! We'll definitely recommend your hotel to others." ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just got back yesterday from staying in this hotel 11/08/25-14/08/25. Booked through hotels.com and not good. When we arrived french time on the 11/08/25 at 7.25pm to check in. We then found out the suite we ordered online and city tax had changed from €14-11 to €16.97. Then to find out our suite had been given to some other guests. Then the guy off reception went into office spoke to another member of staff to which they were arguing. So we were offered a standard room 608 we had a few years ago which was not a good room. Then the guy made us carry stuff from mini bar to upgrade suite that we had three years ago with free mini bar. Well this room was just the same loose plug in shower and toilet didn't stop flushing, plus air conditioning on all night. No hand rails for support and we just had to have wash down. Tell you what Eurostar are brilliant offering you compensation. Hotel.com are not they asked us to take photos if room from UK and hotel offered £25 to go next month. Well we only get away once a year. The cleaner came then second day of our four day break she said I come clean your room next but she disappeared. Then the supervisor said you happy with room I said maid no Clean room so the maid came back clean room. Day before we left the supervisor and maid were on the same floor as we were going to lifts. The supervisor said you go home today I said no tomorrow. She said are you sure I said yes I'm sure she said to maid they go out you clean room. Got no respect for English and the only nice thing was weather and new shops in westville shopping centre. The other shops are not as good like souvenir shops. Tell you what but Basil faulty to shame
Noreen C — Google review
Fantastic location for Eurostar - opposite station doors. Very Spacious rooms, toilet seperate from shower which was actually quite handy. Great power shower and nice facilities, huge tv with BBC and Sky news - but the bed was so uncomfortable which was a big shame and let it down.

We booked the Nannybag. The hotel had exceptional service. Our bus was leaving at 01:00 and with girls in the company we didn’t feel very safe to wait outside. The hotel was closing at 00:00 and we could wait until then. Sammy asked the nightguard if we could maybe stay a little bit longer and he ever so kindly agreed. A top service by Novotel, Sammy & The Night Guard. Next time I’m definitely staying here again!

The Grand Hôtel Bellevue**** is a luxurious belle epoque property located in Lille, offering elegant and relaxed rooms equipped with minibars, free Wi-Fi, and flat-screen TVs. With 60 rooms, it exudes an old city elegance that has been refined over centuries. The hotel boasts grandiose decor and provides modern amenities such as marble bathrooms, large beds, and spacious desks.
Fantastic location just off the main square. We had a mezzanine room which let the kids have their own space upstairs with two single beds and the room was huge! Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom well appointed with "white company" toiletries. Given the location I was surprised how quiet it was. Every staff member we spoke to was attentive and helpful. Everyone spoke English which was helpful as my french is a bit rusty! We didn't have eat in the hotel so can't comment. Sadly the roof terrace was closed during the day which is a shame! Late checkout (1200h) was standard which was fantastic with kids. Really enjoyed our all too brief stay!
Rob M — Google review
I don't really know where to start with this hotel. The location is excellent. Right on the Grand Place and a 10 minute stroll from the international station where you'll find the Eurostar. The staff were friendly and happy to help. There was some really lovely decor and fabulous chandeliers and wallpaper. The breakfast was ok, nothing special but not bad either, a standard continental (although lacking in vegetarian alternatives). But. There is literally no disabled access into the hotel. There are large steps up into the building and no other entrance. The hotel advertises an 'accessible room' which we had, and luckily I am an ambulatory wheelchair user so my partner was able to carry my chair up the stairs, but there was no communication to let us know that the hotel would not be suitable for someone who was not ambulant. The elevator is very small and I just managed to squeeze in, in a standard sized chair with power attachment. The 'accessible room' was large, with a big comfortable bed. There was a very large wet room style bathroom but with no shower chair and no grab rails for the shower either. No bath. A very confusing set up!! Good value for money for able bodied people.
Laura R — Google review
The hotel is perfectly located in the Grand Square, making it easy for you to explore the charming old town. You'll find a great selection of restaurants and bars just a short walk away, so there's something for everyone to enjoy. Plus, don’t miss the rooftop bar—it's a fantastic spot to unwind and soak in the beautiful views!
Ardeshir L — Google review
Cute hotel, room was good. Not too much choice at breakfast and no restaurant for dinner, but there are enough restaurants around the hotel, so it wasn't a big deal. The rooftop is cute too.
Kim B — Google review
Lovely hotel with a fabulous rooftop bar. Great location just off grand place. Our bedroom was on the 4th floor, didn't get any street noise. Very disappointing that our toilet didn't flush, we did mention it twice to reception, but it wasn't resolved throughout out 2 night stay, having to go and use the public toilet on the 5th floor was not ideal. Spoilt what could have been a memorable stay in a lovely hotel.
Claire S — Google review
We spent a couple of nights at the Grand Hotel Bellevue for a mother–daughter trip and absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is elegant, luxurious, and wonderfully comfortable, the perfect mix of style and relaxation. Despite being right in the very centre of Lille, it was impressively quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to unwind after exploring the city. The location couldn’t be better, you step straight out into the heart of Lille, surrounded by shops, cafés, and the beautiful architecture of the Grand Place. The rooftop bar offers a lovely view over the city, making it a perfect spot to relax with a drink at the end of the day. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile or a helpful suggestion. Everything about the stay felt easy and thoughtful. We would highly recommend the Grand Hotel Bellevue to anyone visiting Lille, it made our mother–daughter getaway truly special.
Melanie H — Google review
Perfect location for visiting the old town and an easy walk from the station. The staff were superb and very welcoming. The bedrooms are large and the bed is very comfortable. Not all that ‘grand’ but we had a great nights sleep. Roof top bar was enjoyable and would be great in summer when you can sit outside!

Hôtel Carlton Lille is a classic hotel located in the center of Lille, offering traditional rooms and high-end suites. The hotel features a cozy bar, gym, and sauna for guests to enjoy. Its perfect location near Old Lille, Vieille Bourse, and Grand Place makes it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. With its mix of upscale chic and hipster casual vibe, Hôtel Carlton knows how to pamper guests with simplicity and refined taste.
The beautiful hotel is in a perfect position for visiting Lille, right at its centre. The bedroom was spacious with comfortable beds and had tall, opening windows that looked out over a quietly busy street leading into one of the main squares. The breakfasts were delicious, service friendly and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and have already recommended it to friends.

A nice welcome to the hotel on arrival. Able to check in 30 minutes early, which was great. Nice decor and atmosphere to reception. Lovely staff. Room (409) quite big with view of the square and opera house. Nice comfortable bed. Good soundproofing. Never heard any noise in the night from outside or inside the hotel. Coffee machine available with 4 pods for one night. Overall a pleasant stay.

We are currently staying at the Carlton Hotel in Lille. We had booked a privilege room but were pleasantly upgraded to a suite upon arrival with the perfect view. The room is spacious, comfortable, and very well-equipped. The reception staff have been friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which has made our stay even more enjoyable. So far, everything has been excellent and we are really happy with our choice. Highly recommended!

Worst hotel I ever been. More than 1000 hotels. This is the worst of the worst. Rude employee. The concierge an old man being rude with all the guest. Not allowing you to go back to your own room if it’s too late for him. Please go away from this place. I would prefer sleep in a backpackers in a room with 24 other peoples rather than go back here again.
Kévin G — Google review
Hotel needs some Tlc, perhaps the 4star needs to be revisited, I would say in the past it would of met the standard, but now off the mark 😏 found staff rude and please be aware that there is an additional €200 down payment on top of the prepaid price of the hotel invoice for the stay. Unsure what it is for : mini bar etc, I did not use any, and the question wasn’t even ask on departure whether I did or didn’t, no toiletries thrown in, we have stayed in plenty of hotels in Europe 3star and 4star and even 5star and the standard of customer care and standard of care was not what we received. On the positive note, the location was great

Incredibly unhelpful manager and liers when requesting a refund during our honeymoon - AVOID The fast version is, around 10am they turned the water off in our room, and were unable to give us an ETA for repair, leaving us unable to shower, brush our teeth or use the toilet for over an hour. We asked the desk if we could leave, to which instead of offering us another room or alternative bathroom, they just said yes and that they'd refund us. Then once we tried to get a refund online they refused the booking company and lied about the situation, leaving us lied to and out of pocket. Was honestly really close to having a great time, but there's no care for customers from management and the place stinks of greed with the labels for €20 water bottle and wine in the room etc. Avoid if you value customer service and ethics.
Dole M — Google review
I would just like to start we was a returning customer to this hotel! And we brought 4 further guests with us! However we didn't manage to stay due to no parking even though this would have been noted on booking! Reception was very unhelpful and non caring of our situation! All public carpark where full due to a protest we got caught up in and at no point did the hotel bother to warn us of what was happening! We was on a tour of France for my brothers 60th birthday and this was a very disappointing finish! Because of this we also had to pay a further €100 to change our train home! Really sad to have finished on this note!

Nestled in the heart of Lille, the ibis Lille Centre Grand Palais offers a modern and budget-friendly retreat for travelers seeking comfort without breaking the bank. With streamlined rooms equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, this hotel is perfect for those on a short city break. Guests can unwind at the bar or enjoy casual dining options after exploring Lille's vibrant streets. The city itself is a delightful blend of old-world charm and contemporary culture, characterized by its stunning architecture and lively atmosphere. Just 1.
Fabulous location, walking distance to almost all tourist attractions. The staff were super helpful and always available. Breakfast was quite a spread and just delicious. The room was decent size and clean.

I’ve been away from home for more than two weeks, moving accommodation and cities every few days. This is the BEST shower I’ve had this whole trip. The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable. I think it’s typical of France, but I do miss the kettle, tea and coffee facilities as well as a little fridge. Nonetheless, the staff were happy to loan me a glass, a fork, whatever I needed. Good proximity to Lille train station (not more than ten minutes dragging overpacked bags through the streets). I would definitely return.

We stayed here over the August bank holiday weekend and was impressed. The hotel is a very short distance from the Eurostar station and only 10 minutes away from all the bars and restaurants. The rooms were clean, spacious and had air con which was great as it was very warm outside. Staff are helpful and very polite. We are already looking forward to returning in the near future.
Shane G — Google review
Quiet and clean, nearby the train station. Felt a bit far out from the old town and citadel. Room was big enough for a family of three but lacking in shelf space, chairs and a bin (one small one in the bathroom). Room cleaning was very good. Plastic protective sheet under bedsheets didn't help keep the sheets on the bed or help if you get night sweats. Staff were smiley and helpful.

Location is a little away from core, but still reachable with 15 minute walk. Breakfast is a buffet. Rooms are small, as are all Ibis we have stayed in, but the shower is bigger.

Good location, just 5–10 minutes from two train stations, and the area felt fairly safe. The room was clean. A standard Ibis three-star hotel — in the good sense of the word.

Excellent place to stay and tremendous value for exploring Lille or day trips to Belgium (eg Bruges and Ghent). Thanks to Yanis and all staff for being patient with our English-speaking family and storing food for our kids.

The staff in this hotel are exceptional. Some of the best service I've had from members of staff in a long time. Very kind and considerate. Rooms very clean and tidy. Exactly what you want. Thanks a lot 🙏

⸻ Review of Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel is in an excellent location — close to the old town (Vieux Lille), major museums, shops, and plenty of restaurants. It’s also an easy walk from both main train stations, which makes it really convenient if you’re arriving by train. The staff were definitely one of the highlights. Everyone at reception was friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with directions, restaurant tips, or anything else I needed. It really made the stay feel more personal. The room itself was simple but comfortable. It had everything I needed: a good bed, clean bathroom, a kettle, and reliable Wi-Fi. The space is not very large and storage is limited, so it’s better suited for shorter stays or if you pack light. Breakfast was included and had a decent selection — fresh bread, pastries, cheese, fruit, and some hot items. It’s not a huge spread, but it’s more than enough to start the day. Another plus is the on-site parking. Although the parking garage is quite tight (be careful if you have a bigger car!), it’s secure and a big advantage in a city center. If I had to point out any downsides, it would be the room size and a few small maintenance issues (like occasional temperature fluctuations in the shower), but nothing major that affected my stay. Overall, Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre is a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located base in Lille. I would definitely recommend it for a city break or business trip.

This hotel is a nice budget friendly option, with small but clean rooms. The bathroom was pretty clean, with shampoo and soap available and a hairdryer outside by the mirror. The breakfast is, to me, one point they could really improve. Not many options to choose from, but gets the job done. The highlight is definitely the location right near the center of Lille, close to markets, restaurants and museums. Something to keep in mind: the parking is really a puzzle experience. The parking spots are very tight - even with a small car such as a Golf, and has a very steep entry/exit.
Clarice R — Google review
Enjoyed a few days here recently, the hotel is in a great central location but best of all was the staffing of the hotel. Everybody was extremely polite, friendly and helpful at all times and made our stay very enjoyable!! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Lille. Many thanks, Simon and Elaine.
SImon S — Google review
If you get warm easily: avoid this place! The air conditioning simply didn't work properly. During a heatwave our room was only a couple of degrees cooler than outside, nowhere near comfortable; we were sticking to the sheets at night. 🥵🌡️ The hotel itself felt very dated: limescale in the toilet, a sink that didn’t drain properly, and only one power outlet by the beds. Staff were polite, but when we reported the AC issue they insisted it was "fixed"; it wasn’t. The second night was just as bad, and we were offered no solution or compensation; in fact, they denied there was a problem. Disappointing.

Friendly guy dealt with us on arrival. Very handy that they have a car park, looks a bit imposing for some at first, I have a bigger car but managed just fine. Room is clean and modern with a great shower.

Rundown area: rundown buildings, garbage smell, homeless people, not very clean. Tiny standard twin room, mediocre air condition, loud night human street noise (shouting, loud speaking, laughter etc.). Acceptable room service. Breakfast low/sparse on fresh fruit and vegetables. One plus: continuous automated mineral water supply in the hotel lobby; very spacious comfortable hotel lobby endowed with tables, chairs and sofas.
Mihai M — Google review
This hotel is rather cheap, with smallish rooms but everything is decent and clean. Location is very good near the centre of Lille. Underground parking is next level tight with a steep descent on entry.

Hôtel l'Arbre Voyageur Lille - BW Premier Collection is a stylish hotel located in the Vieux Lille district, just a short walk from both Lille Flandres Train Station and Lille Europe Train Station. The hotel offers contemporary rooms and suites with individual decor, featuring amenities such as flat-screen TVs with international channels and welcome trays. Guests can enjoy the hip restaurant and bar on-site, as well as a cozy café.
Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. Really calming rooms with decent a/c - we were in an executive room. Useful to have a mini fridge (filled with a few drinks) and coffee machine. We had breakfast delivered to the bedroom for a 5 Euro charge pp which was great - we did the gourmet breakfast one day for my son’s birthday and they included a little breakfast cake with a lit candle - so lovely. For 2 night stays you get a token for a free drink if you decline maid service (but they still make the bed and take rubbish) which was a great idea and the bar is really nice. All staff very polite and helpful. On site bakery fab too. Only criticism is the open plan shower room as I was with my son, but the privacy is ok if one of you stays in bed! Location was perfect, very close to both train stations and 5 min walk to main square.

The best hotel! This was our third stay. Location is perfect between the train station and the centre of Lille, everything within walking distance. Rooms are spacious, quiet and super clean. Tea and coffee making facilities, plus a few drinks and snacks provided for free. If you choose to reuse your towels, you can have a free drink in the bar! Staff are so friendly and helpful and speak great English. We had drinks and cheese/charcuterie boards at the hotel bar and they were delicious and reasonably prices. Breakfast is also good. Basically can't praise it highly enough, if you go to Lille stay here!

I truly enjoyed my stay at your hotel — everything was wonderful. The service was excellent, the room was cozy and comfortable, the location was perfect, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I have just one small suggestion. In the bathroom, there are bags provided for feminine hygiene products, but the products themselves are not available in the room. I understand this may not be a standard requirement for hotels, as historically most facilities — even entire cities — have been designed with men's needs in mind. However, it would be wonderful if high-level hotels like yours could start setting a new standard by being more considerate of female guests. It’s a small detail, but one that would surely be appreciated by every woman staying at your hotel. Thank you for a lovely experience!

The first and foremost is staff’s attention to our requests. We came early after a long roadtrip and our rooms were ready. That has really made our day. And the staff has been very helpful with our other requests. Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Location is great - just few minutes walk from the city center. Nearby parking Opera is convenient too.

Benefits: 1. Location! Right next to a big parking garage with EV chargers, €15 for 24 hours. 5 min away from city center with all the nice restaurants and shops at a walking distance. 2. Staff. The hotel team really walks an extra mile to make the stay nice. We asked for a room with a bath and a babycot, and everything was provided with a smile. Disadvantages 1. The room looked much better on the photos. In reality everything was quite worn out. The bed was not comfortable and was squeaky with every little move. 2. Towels were really smelly, also after they were changed. 3. The breakfast buffet had several hickups - on the first day the scrambled eggs were not fresh and we got a bit of stomach discomfort from that. The next day the youghurt in a pot had a weird smell. Overall a good stay, but not 4 star level of quality.

Excellent hotel, centrally located. Very convenient from the train station. You can walk everywhere from here. Wonderful staff, helpful, kind and accommodating. Fantastic bed! Excellent shower. I love that the toilet is separate from the washroom for privacy. Large windows with blackout cover. It was the perfect place to stay in Lille. Highly recommend!

Wally's Coffee, located on Rue du Molinel in Lille, France, is a popular spot for both social media enthusiasts and food lovers. The cafe is known for its unique freakshake and offers a bright and spacious interior with lounge areas, making it an ideal place to unwind or get some work done. Whether you're looking for a refreshing break or a productive work session, Wally's Coffee provides a welcoming atmosphere and delicious menu options.
I have a soft spot for interesting repurposed locations and Wally’s has it! it looks like it used to be some kind of factory turned to restaurant while keeping the original infrastructure. The men’s had some options and the staff was very patient with us while the few phases I learned in French came out in German while under pressure. The food was delicious and I had the best milkshake ever here. I was pleased to hear the mix of languages coming from the kitchen and was eventually able to communicate with some of the staff in Spanish. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. The decoration is nice, the menu is online which makes translation easier.

Such a cool place. It combines a thrift shop, coffee spot, and lunch café all in one charming warehouse. Every day they serve a different local dish, or you can choose from pancakes or bread with avocado.

Wally's Coffee in Lille is a cozy and modern brunch spot. We tried the bacon and eggs toast, and the pancake with smoked salmon. Both were very tasty. The bacon and eggs toast had great flavors, and the smoked salmon pancake was fresh and satisfying. We also had a "crazy shake" with carrot cake on top. The shake was delicious, with a creamy base and a moist carrot cake slice. It's a must-try for anyone who loves sweet treats. The place is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. The ordering system is easy and quick, using QR codes to access the menu and place orders. This modern approach makes the dining experience smooth and efficient. Overall, Wally's Coffee is a great choice for delicious brunch options and unique drinks.

Best Brunch location I ever visited, artistic, unique and a very wide at thesame time well organized menu. I so loved the Banana Cake plus the pancakes 🥞. Infact I believe all they serve is great and will definitely recommend to anyone. It’s not an open buffet but it’s ideal for a calm Sunday afternoon brunch.

We were seated outside because "there were no seats inside". The food came out cold. It's also very expensive for what it is, almost 20 euros for a slice of bread with eggs. That said, if we were seated inside we probably would have had a better experience...
Aa K — Google review
Always a nice place to have brunch with friends. The prices are not the cheapest but the quality and portions do compensate it. I’ve been here for brunch twice in the last 2 years and I can say they have consistency in the quality of the food. If there weren’t so many places I needed to try I’ll go back more often.

Very cool place for a breakfast/brunch, coffee and cakes! 🥪 We had a toast with scrambled eggs, mushrooms, onion and bacon. It was pretty nice and big. 🍰 Red velvet cake and brownie with hazelnut were both amazing. Texture was as it's supposed to be and the tast was on point. ☕️ Coffee was the only thing we did not like here. It was too bitter and with no specific taste. 🤵‍♂️🤵‍♀️ Waiters team was amazing. They were all delightful and made the atmosphere so nice. We had few of them serving our tables (taking order, serving coffee, serving food) and they were all super nice! 🏠 Place on it's own looks cool and has few levels with a lot of places to sit. 💲💳 What I found the most useful is the fact that you can pay through the qr code of your table. There is no need to call the service or wait, you just pay and say it at the exit so they can check and that's it.

Place was good. I was aksed if I had a reservation while I didn't. But it had no problem and I got a table. Food was good, kinda of a already ready menu. It was giving quickly. Coffee was good too. Inside design was so cool, stairs up, to place with natural lights. There is a shop aslo.

La Clairière is a charming and elegant café located on Boulevard de la Liberté in Lille. It offers a completely homemade vegan cuisine made from local, organic, and seasonal ingredients. The menu guarantees 100% vegan dishes, including inventive plant-based options like pink burger, avocado toast, veggie bowl, and vegetable crumble. On Sundays, guests can indulge in a healthy and complete brunch featuring a drink, savory dish, and sweet treat.
Great food, service, and ambience. Menu changes weekly (which is great). Lovely dogs in the premises which give the place a great homey feel. Perhaps an a/c would be good indoors. The city is too hot and humid.

Very difficult to find good vegan places in France compared to other European counties so this was a gem. Delicious penne and dessert was good, completely vegan. Service was a bit slow but it was busy.
MB B — Google review
I love love lovvvvvveeee they adopted street dogs that now are in the restaurant. And one pup is for adoption! The dogs don’t bother you whilst you’re eating. The gazpacho is super tasty. Slightly sweet, a bit of heat and very filling. My friends and I also had the sampler which we didn’t realise included the gazpacho too. Whilst the “hummus” amount was substantial, it wasn’t as tasteful as the “falafel” fritters. With a vegan aioli it was delicious!!

I loved the place! Food is absolutely delicious, especially the desserts! If you are guilty as charged when it comes sweets, this is the place for you! Staff was very nice and extremely polite. The ambiance was cosy and friendly. Of course, the beautiful dogs chilling around made it even better! Big, fat 5 stars from me. I will definitely come back. Keep up the good work! 🌱

We were four people to dine there, and it was an amazing experience. We had a sweet potato soup for starter, and it could have been slighly more seasoned, but still very tasty. For main we had a typical French dish and a burger. The burger is one of the best burgers I've had in a very, very long time, and the parmentier was tasty as well, having a nice touch of thyme. The chocolate mousse for dessert was delicious and airy. They had extremely high-level local beer there, which I have been missing at vegan and vegetarian restaurants (not to talk about many restaurants like that not having alcohol at all). It was probably the best beer I've ever had at a vegan place. Marvellous! They did not have decaf, but they had something that was not coffee, that was without caffeine and tasted surprisingly similar, but I don't remember the name. The staff is incredibly friendly, smiling and welcoming. The place was packed, so they were very busy, but they still had time to take care of us and answer our questions. Last but not least, they have three dogs walking around inside, and they're just the cutest! This place is a must if you're in Lille!!

Hotel Lille Euralille, a Hilton Affiliate Hotel, is conveniently situated across from Gare de Lille-Europe, making it easily accessible for travelers arriving by Eurostar. The lobby exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the reception staff are known for their friendly and accommodating service. My experience was very recent. I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location is excellent. Not only is Lille easy to get to from different cities, but the hotel location in front of the Lille Europe train station is very convenient. The staff were very kind and helpful! I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The room temperature was a bit cold, but someone from the front desk brought up a radiator. I would stay here again. Great value. Plus, Lille is a wonderful city that can be used as a base to go to Belgium.

Overall, it was more like Hampton Inn than a Hilton, but the staff were superb, and the location was excellent. Didn't like. - small room - no coffee (though coffee machine was in the room) - heating didn't work - housekeeping only made bed - safe didn't work - dirty fridge - temporary executive lounge with limited amenities - limited options for breakfast - no parking, even to load / unload Liked: - super nice staff, front desk, breakfast and executive lounge - limited options but quality stuff - location, close to the fum part of the city Overall, I enjoyed the stay.

We recently stayed at Lille Euralille and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience due to the lack of a functioning air conditioning unit. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm lobby, which I thought was just a temporary issue. However, when I entered my room, it was even worse. The air conditioning unit was completely non-functional, and despite the hotel being fully booked, the staff offered no alternative solutions. I tried to make the best of it, but the temperature in the room was unbearable, especially during the hot summer nights. When I reported the issue to the front desk, I was met with a lack of urgency and concern. The staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in resolving the problem. The discomfort from the heat overshadowed any positive aspects of the hotel, such as its location or amenities. I expected a relaxing getaway, but instead, I spent my nights tossing and turning, unable to sleep in the stifling heat. I cannot recommend this place based on my experience. A functioning air conditioning unit is a basic necessity, especially during peak season. I hope they address this issue for future guests, but until then, I would suggest looking elsewhere for a more comfortable stay.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Nice rooms, exceptionally friendly staff. Across from Lille Europe station and short walking distance to old town and city center. Would definitely stay there again when visiting beautiful Lille.
Fawaz S — Google review
Thoroughly disappointing stay - the rooms were unacceptably hot with no functioning AC nor the option to open a window. It got down to the low 60s F outside overnight and yet our room stayed well over 80F with no real airflow from the AC system. The staff did relocate our family to another room, but it was still uncomfortably hot, and had rust stains on the floor, wall and doors from a leaking ceiling unit. We ended up leaving a day early and finding another hotel. The rest of the hotel has potential but I would not recommend a stay here given the discomfort of the rooms.
Lauren P — Google review
Overlook the furniture mentioned in other reviews (it's comfortable, but may have a few scratches) and stay here. The hidden gem in this hotel that is not mentioned in reviews is the staff -- they are warm, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. Use "bonjour" and then begin asking for whatever you need and you'll be surprised at the hospitality offered! I stayed here for 4 weeks and wish more hotels had such wonderful staff. Just remember to use your polite words daily and you’ll find out how friendly this area is. If you need change to go do your laundry at a laundromat, they can give you coins for bills. Unfortunately for me, I would visit convenience stores and purchase something small and they would give me incorrect change. The front desk solved my problem nicely! I loved their breakfast. I could get vegetables (mushrooms and tomatoes) every morning to meet my nutritional needs. They also had fresh breads and I was able to make waffles, grab fruit, and eat yogurt. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant here also has really good food. Unfortunately for me, I discovered it late in my trip, but I wish I had eaten here more. The location was superb -- next to Gare Lille Europe, the metro, a shopping center, and other nearby restaurants. Some have mentioned the air conditioning. Yes, it works. The temperature is not controlled in the room so it is not super cold like some like it, but one can certainly control the fan and close the block out curtains during the day to keep it cool. I never found it to be a problem and felt glad to have it on the warmest of days which are infrequent in northern France. I would stay here again as I truly feel the staff made my stay extraordinary! Kudos to Antoine at reception for providing recommendations when I needed them.
S Z — Google review
This is a newly opened Hilton right next to Lille Europe station that until recently used to be a Crowne Plaza and is still undergoing refurbishment. I stayed in one of the newly done-up rooms on the third floor. They started works on the lower floors and are now continuing on the upper ones. The room was nicely done but nothing special and not exactly big. I thought it was surprising that they had installed only a hand-held and no rain shower. The air conditioning worked very well, but it was not possible to regulate it individually. Windows don't open. The doors are a catastrophy and you can hear everything from the corridors. Breakfast is ok-ish. They say they offer eggs cooked to order, but when I asked for a fried egg, they could only do omelettes since they didn't actually have fresh eggs. The buffet area had limited offerings and is way too small for a hotel of this size, especially as everyone seemed to get free breakfast when I was there. The executive lounge is nice with good snacks in the evening and cakes during the afternoon, but only has wines and l had to go reception to ask for water to be replenished. Very small fitness room with only a few machines. All in all, it's not a bad hotel, but expect the standard of a Garden Inn with lounge rather than a proper Hilton. Perhaps the better rooms on the upper floor will make a difference once they are ready.
Thomas D — Google review
Hilton Inn in Lille offers a mixed yet generally positive experience for its guests. The hotel boasts an excellent location with great proximity to public transportation, making it a convenient choice for travelers. Situated near major transport hubs, guests can easily access various parts of Lille and beyond, enhancing the overall convenience of their stay. The rooms at Hilton Inn in Lille are spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for relaxation. The decor is modern, and the amenities are up to standard, ensuring a pleasant stay. However, one significant drawback is the lack of proper air-conditioning. During warmer months, this can be a considerable discomfort for guests, as the rooms can become uncomfortably warm. This issue detracts from the overall comfort and is something the hotel needs to address being a hilton brand. Another point of concern is that some of the building floors were under construction during the stay. While renovations are understandable, the inconvenience of not having the option of a top floor with a nicer view of the city did impact the experience. This should have been expressed prior to booking. Despite these setbacks, the service at Hilton Inn in Lille is commendable. The staff are courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist. Their professionalism and willingness to help contribute significantly to the overall positive experience. In conclusion, Hilton Inn in Lille provides a generally good experience, with comfortable rooms and excellent service. However, the lack of proper air-conditioning is a notable drawback. The hotel's excellent location and proximity to public transportation remain strong points, making it a convenient choice for travelers visiting Lille. With some improvements, particularly in air-conditioning and renovation management, Hilton Inn in Lille could offer an even better experience for its guests.

I had a really nice time, the staff was pleasant and smiling, I didn't have a prior reservation but it wasn't too crowded on a Sunday afternoon and I was seated right away. Both the cappuccino and the burger were really tasty. I had to wait for a short while for the waiter to take my order, but once I ordered the food came really fast.

We were visiting the zoo and taking a stroll around the Citadelle - came across this restaurant, read the menu outside and thought it would be good for a light snack and couple drinks. It was delicious! We got the Escargots and Frites d'Halloumi - very yummy!! Perfect little snack to be on our way in a beautiful atmosphere! The inside is designed beautifully and was very inviting. I'm English speaking and my partner is Dutch, but they were still accommodating - our waiter spoke English. Still very nice kind to us as well for not speaking French. Highly recommend! Next time we visit from Belgium, I'll be sure to have reservation for dinner!

Went there for a tea. It was a pleasant day, albeit cloudy. This, however, works to my advantage since I cannot stand the hot sun for more than 5 minutes. My friend and I sat at the upper deck of the boat. We were delighted with the food. The rest of the boat is also well made up. Will go there some day for lunch or dinner. Review 2 (5.5.25) My previous review was 6 years ago. But I did go a couple of months ago. I loooooved the fried chicken and enjoyed the Indian curry dish. However, what was the most fun this time around wad Ricardo! He really knows his job. It changes the entire experience. Kudos!! Judith also was a fun server to have. The others in the team are also a lot of fun. In my reviews, I generally don't focus on the staff. It's the food that counts. However, since I've been to the restaurant several times and I have liked the food, this time it was the staff that made a difference and hence wanted to shed some light. Enjoy!

We were here during the Grand depart of the tour de France. It was busy and a lot of people, but the service was good. They speak English, of you have a hard time with your French. Diner is good.

Top service, very gentle and helpful. Mother Burgers are great!

Service was quite fast! Ordered the Super Nan, a bit heavy, maybe better to pair with a salad instead of fries. Had cheesecake for dessert which was super good (better to share if you had the burger already tho 🤭)
Camille E — Google review
The place was cool for gathering with friends and the service was attentive, but unfortunately the food did not reach the expectations. The meat was ok but the fries were awful, like if they were old and cooked in very old oil, this was disappointing because the prices were high.

Food was good 3.5 / 5, great place to hangout, but not a lot of options on the menu.

A nice place for team dinners and with many friends. I do like the vibes at this place. Also the type of clientele. The burger and fries are quiet good and I cannot complain about the beers they offer. The service could improve if there were more waiters.

La Guinguette de la Marine is a convivial eatery situated on the other side of the Deule canal, near Oasis. This traditional establishment offers a delightful waterside terrace with views overlooking the Deule. It provides a simple yet effective dining experience, serving burgers, bar snacks, and beer, alongside a foosball table for entertainment. The restaurant is known for its good quality food at reasonable prices and has garnered positive feedback from customers who appreciate the friendly service provided by their sweet waitress.
We were here 2 times in 2 different Dinning time. The first time, we came at dinner time which was after 19:00. By then the meals options are not as variable as lunch. My boyfriend ordered the Full Welsh (Welsh Complet) - the place coming out full and cheesy, my boyfriend had a blast with it. He loved it. I had the Fried squid (Calamars Frits), I was very happy with the portion. With the same money I don't think I could get the same amount back home. The taste was fine. I wishes it could be more crunchier. We came back again during lunch time, my boyfriend order the Pièce du boucher snackée (Steak with salad and fried it served together with pepper sauce). My boyfriend enjoyed the dish very much. However, I think this time mine was better than his. I chose the Poitrine de cochon confite (Pork belly with Japanese salad, asparagus, beets with yakitori sauce). Amazing is the understatement for this dish. I ate the whole dish with no complaints. Everything went so well and compliments each other. The staffs here were also the highlights. We of course can not speak French and the made everything so easy and comfortable for us. We felt very welcome. We had very nice experience here, with the price, atmosphere and portion of the food. We got it good.

I’ve been here a few times for different reasons. They have the menu in several languages and the staff was really patience at lunch time. I loved a vegetarian dish they have despite I’m not vegetarian, sometimes they have tuna but I don’t in my recommend this one. Also the charcuterie and cheese plates are nice.

We have been here two times now, one time for dinner and once for lunch. The staff are all very friendly and funny, the food seems to be authentic local dishes and they're all very delicious. There is nothing to complain at all. The prices and portions are all very reasonable. I see a lot of the local lille residents eating here so they must agree that it's good too! Hôtel Barrière Lille is a luxurious hotel known for its chic rooms and suites, high-end dining options, and live entertainment. Unlike other traditional hotels in the Frances Barriere group, this hotel stands out with its modern interiors housed in a contemporary glass building. The property offers various amenities such as a casino, spa with unique treatments like light therapy and candle treatments, and multiple dining options including the posh Les Hauts de Lille and the more relaxed La Terrasse du Parc.
Great option for staying in Lille. Close to the train stations and a relatively easy walk into the center of town. The hotel is very modern and clean with comfortable rooms.

The hotel is nice but not worth the value. The front desk service was good, the restaurant service was good but very slow. The room was nice and clean and the staff were generally helpful. There’s a small gym with a sauna and spa area which was nice. I used it daily and it was never busy. The food at the lounge is not good, but the restaurant was a little better. This hotel has everything you need but they increased the prices during the Olympics which was not worth it. The location is slightly outside of the main town but walkable in 7-10 minutes. They were very speedy with the valet and always offered water and treats.

We had a great stay. The hotel staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. The hotel suite was very nice. All good there but..I gave 4 points..because of the resto, la Terrasse du Parc, we had in our package from Weekend desk.It was not good at all. Again the staff was friendly but the food was awful. The resto has the ambiance of a canteen. The breakfast was also 'comme ci comme ca'. That was such a pity. Avoid this resto and your stay will be a 5 out of 5!

Exceptional service - the reception team were warm and welcoming. They seemed genuinely happy to greet us and to help. The room was spacious and comfortable, and spotless - brilliant housekeeping team! The hotel is well located too - a few minutes easy walk to the Eurostar terminal and just ten mins walk into the historic centre.

Tour de France accommodations to perfection. To be going, going every day, we felt totally cared for. Breakfast daily buffet full of hot/cold/fruits/breads/sweet breads/jams/yogurts/coffees/cappuccino’s, etc. linen table ware and lovely setting. Eggs/sausages/crepes & pancakes. THEN, the ROOM! Plenty of space, divine bedding, Nespresso, sound sleeping, plug-in’s, and quiet. How do they do this? Daily housekeeping magic when we return. Dinners with same types of options, a bar and outdoor patio for relaxing. . .

Hôtel Mercure Lille Centre Grand-Place is housed in a stately Beaux arts building and offers modern interiors with large prints of tulips by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Located close to the old town and behind the Lille Opera, it provides easy access to explore the historic side of the city. The hotel's elegant boulevards reflect a mix of Flemish ambience and French sophistication, creating a unique atmosphere for visitors.
Excellent location and room was compact but great. The staff were particularly good (Romain on reception was particularly helpful with excellent recommendations). Found the housekeeping staff to be very professional and considerate. Would definitely use again

I like old hotels in Europe and keep on trying them. I have found some gems but this was not one of them. 1. The room refrigerator has nothing in it except an invitation to buy a water bottle at reception. I hate this. It embraces the idea that water in clear plastic bottles (polyester aka PET) are ‘single use plastics’ and this is simply not true. They are re-usable many times over at a personal level. And the PET plastic is amongst the easiest plastics to recycle. 2. My room was small with a huge waste of space for an entrance foyer. The toilet was next to the entrance with the bathroom around the back. Strange. 3. The room and the bedding stank of cigarettes 4. The shower is a drop in plastic affair that is as slippery as all hell. 5. The TV fell off the wall and just missed my foot

We were a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but our rooms were really nice, clean, fresh and in really good condition. The hotel is ideally placed if you are in Lille to visit the old part of the town. Staff were really helpful. We struggled a bit with the parking, but arrived Saturday evening - used Parking Lille Opera - which has an exit right by the hotel.

A very busy and loud weekend due to the festival but the windows provided no insulation. Bathroom door did not shut properly. The second morning they ran out of cream cheese. I had the do not disturb sign on the door yet housekeeping entered my room and cleaned it. None of the English language TV channels worked so it suffices to say I am very disappointed with my stay. For the price they charged I definitely do not recommend!

I recently stayed at this 4-star hotel, but unfortunately the service did not meet the expected standard. Some of the reception staff were unprofessional and not customer-service oriented. Initially, I was given a room that had not yet been prepared, which was already disappointing. When I was then moved to another room, I found that the flush was not working and that there was a strong unpleasant smell. When I reported this, the receptionist seemed annoyed by my request and dismissed my concerns, saying that the smell was “normal” and occurs throughout the hotel from time to time. Only after I insisted was my room changed again. However, the new room was directly opposite the service lift, I guess to annoy me, but thankfully there was no noise. While this room did not have the odour problem, the handling of the situation left me disappointed and dissatisfied with the level of service. In addition, we were told that we would receive early check-in if we joined the hotel’s loyalty programme. Despite this assurance, the early check-in fee appeared on the invoice and I was charged. I had to return to the hotel afterwards to request a refund, which was both inconvenient and unprofessional. I had better reception experience even in hostels.
Fairouz C — Google review
This hotel is rated four stars, but it doesn’t even have a proper elevator from the ground floor! To reach the elevator, you have to climb up to the so-called “first floor,” which actually feels like three flights of stairs. What if you’re elderly or have knee problems? Very disappointing design for a hotel of this category.

For a lone traveller whose first language was not French the staff made every effort to not make this a problem. They were charming and friendly and very respectful. They made my short stay with them a joy . I highly recommend this hotel , the room was spacious clean and comfortable . I booked to have the breakfast included and this was a wise move on my behalf as the variety of choice was extremely good ,fresh and regularly topped up. The position of this hotel was for my need’s excellent it couldn’t have been better. So thank you Novotel Lille for making my stay a very pleasant one .

Our U15 rugby team visited this weekend on tour. Rooms were good and clean and reception desk staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the bar staff and others were rude, and made us feel very unwelcome. There was not much in walking distance to do with our boys. We’ll not come back here again

Novotel Lille is situated on the outskirts of the old centre of Lille, only a short walk away from both the regional and international Eurostar terminal. The rooms are fairly dated but come with comfy mattresses, efficient air-con and a working safe and mini fridge. The hotel does seem a little dated however everything is still in great condition. The service is great the staff are very friendly and speak three languages and are always happy to help. The breakfast is fairly basic and nothing special, but a good spread of pastries fruits meats is available in the advertised times. The only criticism would be potentially the cleanliness of underneath the sofa especially when it’s converted into a sofa bed. Overall a decent place to stay.

Free drinks with Accor voucher: All hotels around the world (including those in Lille), they provide drinks for 2 guests, as I always book a room for 2. At this hotel, the drink is only for 1 person: Juice, beer or wine. E.g. in Mercure Kuala Lumpur, they offer cocktail. In Pullman Riga Old Town, they offer mocktail. I requests mocktail at the Novotel in Lille (non alcoholic drink on the menu), the lady at the bar (on Sunday evening) declined. I told her "J'ai un ticket pour 2 personnes pour 2 boissons". She told me we can only get juice, beer or wine. I took an orange juice, my friend took a glass a wine, she wanted me to pay for the wine. Does she understand the difference between "nous" and "moi"? Is she French? She should have told us in advance, it would be for 1 person only when I said "nous". She was weird. As a gold member, I am entitled to late check out. The late check out is based on availability, not on shortage of staff. I could only check out at 14.00, instead of 16.00, due to shortage of staff. I didn't order breakfast at hotels (except in Kuala Lumpur). When I ask for the invoice for the stay. I requested same thing on Monday, I checked my email, the invoice is for breakfast and an amount deducted on the invoice. I got confused. I called the hotel. I got the confirmation that the payment wasn't taken from my credit card. Not sure why I would get an invoice for breakfast if I didn't pay for breakfast. Last time I was at this hotel must have been 15 years ago. I will never go to this hotel when I am back in Lille. Poor management and this weird person at the bar on Sunday evening. I will not recommend this hotel to people going to Lille.

The ibis Lille Centre Gares is a modern hotel located just 100 meters from Lille Flandres Train Station and within walking distance of Lille Europe Train Station. The hotel offers a 24-hour reception, an elevator, terrace, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast with sweet and savory options daily. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with warm staff providing excellent service.
I visited Lille as part of my ongoing family history research. I needed to travel from la gare de Lille Flandres and I arrived at Lille Europe. So I wanted to find a hotel that was close to both, as well as the City. The staff were very friendly when I arrived and spoke English very well. The room was comfortable and perfect for a short stay. Breakfast was lovely and the restaurant, not too busy. Some reviews mentioned the surrounding area but, this is a hotel near a station and the city centre - I frequently stay in London and it is no different. I felt safe and the hotel is secure. I also respect the fact that I can choose not to have my room cleaned. I like to benefit the environment and the bonus points are very welcome. It was a perfect stay for me at a very good price.
Chris S — Google review
The rooms are quite small and don't have a mini bar and some mattresses could be switched out but otherwise the rooms are good for what you pay for. The service is really great! The people at the reception are incredibly nice and helpful, even if you don't speak French. Even the cleaning staff is friendly and confirms whether they should clean your room or not, if you happen to meet them on the hallway. The only big downside is the location. The hotel is located right next to the main train station, which is great to visit the city and surrounding areas. Unfortunately that also means that there is a few homeless people and the odor that comes with them right out front the hotel
Annabel M — Google review
Our room was full of ants and they were literally everywhere, even crawled on our toothbrushes. Not surprised, because it was so dirty, felt that they just decided there are no point to clean the floors at all. Also, the room was heated by the sun during the day, so it was extremely hot inside, was uncomfortable to sleep. We had not enough towels, only one big towel per person, so no extra towels for face or hands. In addition to that, they didn’t even offer a simple laundry bag.
Ely — Google review
Decent enough room, no qualms with the service. But the area around the train station doesn't feel safe, and you can find homeless camping a few meters away from the hotel which probably means the city doesnt bother to provide them any shelter
Krzysztof — Google review
Had to ask for extra towels just to have enough and they're like scouring pads. Had to ask for an extra pillow - from reception, the cleaners weren't allowed to just give them out - because they were too soft. The room was cramped with no tea/ coffee facilities. And the homeless sleep outside although they appeared docile. Overpriced. There are better hotels in Lille for the money.
Frank J — Google review
A return visit after 5 years, the hotel is looking a bit shabby in places. Our room was quite small and the decor needed refreshing especially the desk the edge of which was chipped and rough. A mix up at check out resulted in us being given the wrong code to exit the car park resulting in confusion. But, the hotel is in a really good location for places to eat and shops and very close to the railway station.
Alec B — Google review
Disappointing Experience – Not What You’d Expect from Ibis My recent stay at this hotel was highly disappointing and far below the standards typically associated with the Ibis brand. The rooms are extremely small, poorly maintained, and the overall condition of the hotel is clearly deteriorated. It’s an outdated and neglected building that desperately needs attention—though realistically, demolition and a complete rebuild would be the better option. Some properties should not be exploited until the very last moment, and unfortunately, this hotel is a clear example of that approach. It does no justice to the Ibis name. Adding to the frustration, we were transferred to this hotel under unforeseen circumstances, but the way this was handled was completely unprofessional. The front desk staff member did not speak English at all, which is both surprising and inappropriate in a hotel catering to international guests. While I feel sorry for the staff member placed in that situation, it reflects poor management and a lack of support from the hotel team. Out of respect, I will refrain from sharing pictures, but I sincerely hope Ibis takes this feedback seriously.
Andre L — Google review
Stayed with family in two rooms. The room decoration was well-maintained but dated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooms do not have much space to move around in or store suitcases. The windows steam up and were permanently covered (frames and glass) with condensation. We tried to keep the window open when in the room to alleviate the issue. Damage has occurred to the window sills due to this issue. The hotel staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast not really suitable for vegans. There is fruit and plant-based milk but nothing else. Bar has a good selection of drinks. Relaxed atmosphere. Location of hotel near station is great, but there are homeless people sleeping outside the hotel and the area smells of urine etc. This is not the hotel's fault. It seems common in many parts of Lille. Despite this we felt safe and secure staying at this hotel.

Aparthotel Adagio Lille Centre Grand Place offers understated accommodations with a laid-back atmosphere. Located in the vibrant city of Lille, it perfectly blends old-world architectural charm with a bustling commercial center and a rich cultural scene. The property provides stylish stays that combine the flexibility and space of an apartment with hotel facilities. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a breakfast room, gym, communal area with games, children's area, and a mini-grocery for convenience.
Great location for walking the center of Lille! It's just a half block from the Rue Nationale. Follow the Rue Nationale a few blocks to the city center to see the Bourse, the Opera House and all the historic architecture. We arrived on a Saturday evening and Margot, at the front desk, greeted and gave us a rundown on the hotel and the local area. We had a two room apartment which was perfect for three adults, one child and one small dog. The rooms were clean and comfortable; the kitchen well equipped, including a dishwasher; the bathroom was large and bright. The breakfast offerings the next morning were outstanding. Fresh flaky croissants, fresh fruit, soft and hard cheeses, ham and turkey, scrambled eggs - a real cornucopia of breakfast delights! The hotel is located just across the street from the Eglise Saint Etienne, an old Jesuit church that was rebuilt following a fire in 1740. Walking outside on Sunday morning and hearing the parishioners singing during the mass was a touching start to the day. The boulangerie Papillon is a block away from the hotel and well worth the walk. Amazing breads and pastries!

The property enjoys a central location, just a five-minute walk from all major amenities and the metro station. The rooms were exceptionally spacious and well-appointed with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. When first entered the room, the cleaning was spotless and with a lot of attention to detail. Finally, the breakfast was outstanding and they even have a billiard and a variety of board games at the lounge of the hotel All of the staff were consistently courteous, helpful, and professional throughout my stay However, I was disappointed to learn that the room was not cleaned daily. In fact, it was not serviced at all during the duration of my stay. I was unaware of this policy prior to arrival and was only informed about it at check-in. While this may be a minor inconvenience for a short stay of 2–3 days, it could become an issue for guests staying for a longer period.

I have stayed at Adagio Lille every summer for the past four years, usually for about 10 days, and each time my experience has been perfect. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, and having air conditioning is a real plus. The staff is always very kind and genuinely eager to help with anything that comes up. I travel with my young son, and the hotel is very kid-friendly — there’s even a toy corner and books downstairs, which we really appreciate. I travel a lot around the world, and this place in Lille is definitely one of my favorites. It combines great location, comfort, price, and wonderful people.

Excellent hotel overall. I must highlight the meticulously cleaning everywhere. People are very kind and helpful. Rooms are very clean and come with all you need to have a feel like home stay. The lounge, breakfast area is equiped with table games and a billiard table to enjoy at any time. There is a kitchen in the breakfast area that you can use to cook your own meal, use the dining area and enjoy your dinner/lunch. Filtered still or sparkling water and coffee for free in the same area. On the highlights it is extremely quiet. It is 5 min walk from the main square with lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs etc. An excellent and joyful stay.

Beautiful, clean hotel. Spacious apartment room with space to hang up clothes, a safe, a coffee machine (2 pods provided), dishwasher and large fridge. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was simple but of high quality and staff in the breakfast room were also very helpful and friendly. Great location - we were able to get to everywhere we wanted to see on foot. Only gripe would be that the room was advertised as having air conditioning - it does - but you are unable to adjust the temperature as it is set across the whole building. I was too warm, slept with the window open and I'm now covered in mosquito bites!
Chelsea R — Google review
Well located but somewhat overrated hotel. Pictures do not do justice to actual room, as shower had a shower curtain, no glass, spilling over onto the floor. No cupboard in bathroom while cupboards for clothes and in kitchen are in need of renovation. When it rains, staff need to put buckets left and right to pick up leaking water. Fire alarm was tested while we were in the room while we had to have one of the devices removed in the evening because of annoying sound every 60 seconds. Reception staff took a small ladder and quickly did so. All in all, friendly but poorly maintained and managed hotel.
Filip B — Google review
Perfect location, but HORRIBLE beds - back pain guaranteed after 2 nights. Cleaning service: once in two weeks. It’s a joke for 170€ a night. People at the reception were very nice and helpful though. The gym doesn’t even have a treadmill
Regina — Google review
Worst service I've ever seen. You book a room for 300 euros, change the date and receive confirmation. Then, because Booking cannot charge your credit card for a specific date, they cancel the booking and you get nothing back. In other words, you lose 300 euros and don't get a hotel! Worthless, keep up the good work!

The hotel offers comfortable rooms with modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs, private bathrooms, and free Wi-Fi. It also provides secure parking and an airport shuttle for guests' convenience.
Wonderful little hotel. My single room was compact so had just enough room to unfold a cabin suitcase on the floor but that was perfect for me. I was pleasantly surprised to have a small double bed rather than a single, and the bathroom was clean and modern. The room faced the beautiful station and I am a light sleeper, but it was very well insulated so I slept like a baby! Breakfast is from 7-11, good quality and the staff leave you to finish at your leisure. You can get a free drink (wine, beer or soft) if you decline room cleaning. There is a lift for those with reduced mobility. I felt very welcomed and would happily return!

Good value, clean, single room with great en suite in a handy location. Near to transport hubs and a 5 minute walk to the old town. Plentiful, varied, breakfast buffet. Friendly, helpful staff.
Tim K — Google review
The room was quite small but generally clean. I saw a couple of little flies in the room, in the elevator and at the corridors and that was okay until I went to breakfast hall in the morning. Tens of small flies was all over the cheeses, breads and especially on the dried fruits. I showed the flies to the gentelman who was preparing the food and he acted like he saw them that moment. He could not reply my questoin if the management knew about the situation. Long story short, the hotel has a serious problem with the small flies.

Amazing room, with a mezzanine floor! Very clean inside and comfortable beds with additional air conditioning. Breakfast was good, lots to choose from. However, the separate back door leading to the outside of our room didn’t feel secure and people gathered outside it throughout the night. They were very noisy and left rubbish on the doorstep. They also urinated outside. Lille itself is a great place, and there is lots of places to eat and a shopping centre with many shops. Both stations are very close to the hotel.
Martha S — Google review
Great location in the centre of Lille and surprisingly so quiet given the location. I left something in the room and they were also so kind as to let me know straight away and send it straight back to me. Great service! Thank you.

Had a trip to lille, close to the eurostar and the main station. Comfy bed and clean. Staff were all friendly and reasonably priced.
Stephen C — Google review
Great location opposite Gare Flandres. I had a room at the front of the hotel with windows overlooking the Gare. With the windows closed, there was little noise intrusion. The room was small but adequate, as were the toilet and shower. It was comfortable and had air conditioning. The hotel is quirky with narrow staircases, but there is a lift. Small breakfast room overlooking the Gare. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food, fruit, juices and hot drinks etc. All the staff were really nice and helpful. I'd happily stay there again.

The hotel is really very close to the train station, one minute! Very nice rooms and a delicious breakfast, but I would have added some vegetables. Pleasant staff, helped to print documents. The concept of the hotel is impressive - an eco program, from a stay of two nights, if you agree not to change towels every day, you will be given a free drink in the bar outside with a nice view. Great idea! Highly recommend!

Extended stay hotel
Hôtel de la Treille is a stylish and classic hotel located in the heart of the old town, offering authentic French character without extravagance. The 42 rooms feature low-key, classic color schemes and furnishings, with some offering cathedral views. Guests can enjoy buffet breakfasts in a warmly furnished basement room and receive insider tips from the friendly staff for local bistros.
Lovely little place, cozy rooms, attentive concierge. The only downside was we were at the time of the Braderie there and it was a bit loud - but that’s not the hotels issue.
Funk ' — Google review
Very clean rooms but a little smaller. Breakfast is varios and good quality. The hotel walls are very thin and you can hear all the noises.
Cristian M — Google review
Very good hotel that is convenient for the centre of the city, friendly helpful staff and close to a wide selection of restaurants. Breakfast is additional but well worth taking advantage of as there is a good selection from a buffet.
Clive B — Google review
My experience here was short, but sweet! The Hotel is located in the heart of the centre, so convenient! And most of all, our room was beautiful, clean and cosy. The Staff were exceptionally accommodating, friendly, and professional. (Especially Edouard & Manu!) I had forgotten a shopping bag full of gifts to bring back to London, and the staff had kindly kept it safe for me for a few months, whilst I struggled to find the time and a cheaper cost in having it shipped back to me. I've finally recieved my parcel, and it's arrived in perfect condition, with some added sweets in the box! 😊🤗 You are all amazing. Thank you to all the Staff at Hotel de La Treille in having this sent back to me in mint condition. Super happy! 😊 I will surely be visiting again! (And hopfully not forgetting anything next time!) Best Wishes, NG

Very nice! Rooms decorated with style, very comfy bed, bath tub in the bathroom a definite plus. Excellent customer service - really friendly staff! Breakfast in the hotel is not worth it though - 12 euro per person for a very basic selection and very slow service. Can be a bit noisy but this is because of the hotel's excellent location right in the heart of the old part of town - every bar/ restaurant is on its doorstep. Would definitely recommend!
Katia L — Google review
This reasonably priced hotel is in a very good location, close to all the major cultural sites and architectural settings in the heart of Lille's historic centre. The decor is nice, but the rooms are very small and do not have air conditioning - which is a serious disadvantage during the warm and humid summer season.
Carol D — Google review
Very nice Hotel l, lovely view and extreme service orientated employees. Normally we stay in the Carlton, but this Hotel is a true changer. Missing a Sauna, but still very organized and good Hotel. The check in is very easy and nothing is missing, everything which was requested, was organized and we were not missing anything. Try it!
Pepe F — Google review
Cozy, but noise. You can hear people from other rooms. If you are unlucky to have terrible neighbours, then you won’t be able to relax. Also, there is a bar right below the bedrooms on the back of the hotel. The noise can come to your bedroom till late night. The staff is lovely and the bedrooms are super clean. The bed linen is first class.

Rosa Hotel is a charming and beautifully decorated accommodation located in Lille City Center, just a short distance from the city's main attractions. The hotel offers all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay and prides itself on being spotlessly clean. Despite its central location, the hotel provides a quiet retreat from the bustling city. Guests can expect friendly and helpful staff, as well as a delicious breakfast selection.
Prime location, very convenient, unbeatable! Staff are friendly, helpful and supportive, especially Simon. The room is small but compact. I have everything I needed. The bed is comfortable, important for a good night sleep. My most favourite is the shower- new, works perfectly with the precise temperature. Many showers in hotel do not work properly especially on the water temperature. Toilet rolls and tissues can be improved though, ie, softer and more skin friendly. I will definitely return to this lovely hotel when I visit Lille next.
Audrey L — Google review
What a great visit to Rosa Hotel! The hotel location is superb, the staff super friendly and helpful and the rooms was very clean, nice and welcoming. You would expect to hear noise from the very busy square outside (just by the central station) but the windows are very well isolated so we did not hear a thing from the commotion just below. The breakfast was very good, simple but very fresh and with great quality items. Super happy with the visit!

Beautiful and Easy! Great location near train station and within easy walking distance to many great places in the city. Easy check in, friendly staff. The room is cozy and elegant. Very comfy bed. Lovely breakfast area with coffee and optional breakfast for purchase.
Ashleigh S — Google review
fantastic location for 4 nights see Le Tour Grand Départ, short walk from the Eurostar terminal and directly opposite Flanders station. All of Lille restaurants in the doorstep, QR was effective and staff welcoming. Room overlooked the station square. Staff welcoming when needed and breakfast leftovers with a coffee machine in the lounge during the day ensures no wastage. Room comfortable and well designed, little touches finish off this 5* boutique hotel Will be our stay again next time in Lille for sure.
Royce L — Google review
Lovely little hotel extremely close to the train station. Although the rooms themselves were very small, they were well decorated and comfortable with good air con. They had a breakfast there with some simple essentials and a waffle maker. My one complaint is that there was a huge number of fruit flies in the breakfast room which made it seem unsanitary. Front desk was kind but they are only around until 8PM.
Priscilla Y — Google review
Really lovely hotel, great central location. Quiet at night thanks to the double glazing. Very comfy bed and nice bathroom, beautifully decorated and really clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again.

Very cute spot, very easy check-in and check-out. And a great location (in front of Lille Flandre station), Breakfast is very simple, and the co-working space is rather calm.
Not S — Google review
Ok, I'm at least giving the location a 5 because it was close(i.e.,"walkable" enough from &) to most of my tourist attractions I could see within the 2 nights I was there, except the local stadium. I believe it'd be better without the walls feeling like they're all made of wood. Also, despite the local northern climate, there wasn't enough for heating,e.g.heaters. And like demonstrated in the photo. The gap between the door and the ground seemed wide enough to poke a finger in there.

(Translated by Google) A Disgusting Oaristys My dear gentlemen and ladies of the court, it is with abysmal consternation and Pantagruelian disgust that I must recount my recent misfortune. Having had the audacity to cross the threshold of what is wrongly called a "burger," I expected a gustatory symphony, an ambrosia of the suburbs, but what was, alas, a most strident culinary cacophony. From the moment I entered, a sticky and indefinable atmosphere, worthy of a forgotten medieval shop, assailed me. But the true ignominy lay in the food. The meat, with its cataleptic texture and ghostly flavor, was only a distant relative of the noble burger I had hoped for. It spread with a prehensile limpness, a cosmic insipidity, defying all gastronomic logic and affronting the honor of fine dining. As for the unfortunate accompaniments, they vied with each other in dismal splendor. The fries, melancholically flaccid, seemed to have given up the ghost long before reaching my palate, thus betraying their crunchy mission. The crudités, sepulchral in their palate, were part of a most distressing vegetable lethargy, cruelly lacking the vivacity befitting a dish of this magnitude. The whole formed a motley and weak-willed conglomeration, a gustatory abjection that even the most adventurous of palates would repudiate with disdain. In conclusion, this gastronomic incursion was a colossal abomination, an indelible stain on the parchment of my epicurean memories. I cannot urge you enough, dear sensitive souls, to flee this place of abysmal baseness, where cooking is relegated to the rank of a disastrous incident. A true organoleptic annihilation, whose crass mediocrity will remain engraved in the annals of my worst disappointments and will be the subject of a solemn protest to the authorities responsible for good food.

LILLE A PART is a charming guesthouse offering bright and stylish suites with kitchenettes and free Wi-Fi. Situated at 9 rue du Pont Neuf, it provides a cozy and clean environment that exceeds expectations. The friendly owners make guests feel welcome, creating a comfortable cocoon-like atmosphere. The property also offers parking, pet-friendly rooms, family rooms, and has received high praise from previous guests for its great value.
Great location! We loved our stay here. This space is close to all the restaurants and bars in Lille, plus there’s a great bakery one block away. It’s also a quick walk or drive from the train station. Check in was easy. There was consistent hot water and heat. Plus, it was clean and quiet so we weren’t awoken from street noise during the night. We’ve stayed at several rentals/hotels in Lille and this is one of the best we’ve rented. We would happily stay here again.

(Translated by Google) 18 minutes before our appointment the host sends that she will be 40 minutes late. We only saw the message when we were already standing here. There is no sign anywhere in the street with the name of the place of residence. When the host arrived, she said she had another leakage problem to solve. That didn't bode well. The studio: good bed with clean sheets. No closet space for clothes. The supposed wardrobe was full of cleaning supplies, pillows and extra bath towels. Kitchen: clean at first glance until you look a little further. Cutlery on the counter covered in dust, pots and pans dirty in the cupboard. Fortunately a clean refrigerator. Shower has mold. Toilet: toilet seat is loose. Toilet smells. Loose top of sink cabinet. Room: ceiling damaged by previous leak. Roller blinds repaired with tape and mold stains. When we asked for a discount, the host said that we could also go somewhere else 😮 never experienced this before. We ended up getting a discount for 1 night. If we hadn't been so tired we would have looked for another location.
