We called for Sunday lunch. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Richard. Nothing was too much for Richard. He was very attentive. The food was very tasty. We both had the beef Sunday lunch. With Jam and cream scone for dessert. Would highly recommend.

Booked this property for our anniversary in September through booking.com and was surprised at the low rate offered. We booked nonetheless thinking we had just been lucky and snagged a good deal. A few months later - still 4 months before the stay we received a message from booking.com to say that there was incorrect card details and that we were required to to confirm them. Strange tho this was we confirmed and 1.00 was taken from our account. The following day booking.com gave us the same message saying that if we failed to update card details the booking would be cancelled. We contacted to property (Allan Park) to clarify and were assured that the booking was active and that this message was an error. We were told not to worry and just to ignore the message. The following day the booking was cancelled. This time the property had the attitude of ‘unfortunately it’s out of our hands’ however if you do wish to book again the room is still available. Of course the room is now more expensive by £160 per night for one night but that’s tough! I would have accepted that there was a clerical error had the property contacted us and apologised. Perhaps explained the situation and discussed a small discount if we were still interested in staying. What has left a really poor taste in our mouths is the blatant deception and lies in the email correspondence to encourage us to do nothing until the booking was cancelled and then to sit back and say tough.

Cute place on the outside, but the upstairs room we stayed in was a bit worn: carpeting and bathroom could use some updating. The highlight was dinner, which was terrific. The staff were friendly enough, but were chatty with one another and didn't pay us too much mind, both when we checked in, and when we came down for dinner. The location was very convenient for exploring Stirling, and free parking in the back was a nice perk.
Nuntiya K — Google review
Staff were fantastic, room was good, and we loved the snacks provided. (only minor inconvenience is, the bed is a bit too small for two people) If you're not into the continental breakfast, which is included, they have all other options for a very reasonable £6.50. I had a full Scottish Breakfast, which was very nice, and my partner had the Eggs royale, which she enjoyed too. Great location too. We would stay here again.
Koomz — Google review
Met with some friends for lunch. The service was great, very attentive. We couldn't have asked for better. The decor is nice inside and it's a good location. We had soup and mushrooms on toast for starter which were all very tasty and recommended. Unfortunately the main of mini fish supper wasn't very nice au all. The fish did not taste fresh but quite fishy with too much batter for the amount of fish, leaving it in one piece might be better. The chips were terrible and soggy. It's a shame as everything else was lovely. I'd definitely try again and order something else.
Sinead C — Google review
Restaurant: Even with a reservation we were left waiting endlessly, drink orders were ignored. We paid £20.50 for a dish that was supposed to include haggis – it arrived without any haggis. This is not just poor service, it’s a blatant tourist rip-off. Disrespectful and completely unacceptable. Tourists should avoid this place at all costs.
Kiki — Google review
We had Sunday roast at the restaurant and it is DELICIOUS. We asked to change our booking around due to unforeseen circumstances and even though the staff were very helpful. If you're visiting Stirling like we were, you have to stop by this place.
T D — Google review
The breakfast was a hot breakfast, much more than the breakfast we expected and very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Only thing is shower was fairly small. Would stay again.

Gastropub

Nestled in a converted farm steading near Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument, The Birds & Bees is a popular gastropub offering a cozy and modern ambiance. The charming white-washed cottage exterior leads to a beautifully decorated interior with plush leather couches, stone walls, and fireplaces. The menu features an array of British and international dishes, including chicken ecosse and spicy Mexican beef chili.
We chose the Birds and Bees for our wedding reception party and it was amazing! The venue is beautiful and so spacious and we had so many compliments from our guests. We had a fabulous meal and the buffet & party in the evening was perfect. We had such a lovely time and Danny and the team were so accommodating. Thank you so much for all your help. I highly recommend!

Great dining experience. Great cross between a traditional restaurant and a more modern one. I hade the steak pie and my wife had the salmon. Both were perfect. Atmosphere was eclectic farm. Food is traditional with a twist of modern. Only complaint would be the drinks were a bit light on alcohol.
Travis H — Google review
Beautiful scenic location in the countryside with eclectic decor on the inside. The food was exceptional, the mango avocado salsa was a surprise favorite all around the table. Salmon was the juiciest I've ever had, with a wonderful crusty sear on the outside. Not pictured is the Banoffee Slice which was absolutely decadent, I'm seriously going to have dreams about it. Also a table favorite. Service was just okay, but the food made up for it. Can't wait to go back!
Courtney K — Google review
We booked The Birds and Bees months in advance and I was actually a little surprised when I showed up and my name was on the list. The staff seemed a little busy and tired but Scotland in general appears to have had a long summer of tourism and it's a bit understandable. The food here is fantastic and it's obviously a favorite among locals. Great atmosphere and very comforting. We would certainly return
Ross K — Google review
We were here on Saturday lunch and the restaurant was quite busy. However, the service was fast and efficient. We had sirloin medium which cooked to perfection. Chicken parmigiana was great, melted cheese and chicken was juicy and tender. Fries can be better, we think it’s not flavourful. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Nice decor too.
Andreas — Google review
This is a truly one of a kind pub/restaurant the food, decore and staff make it incredibly memorable! We were lucky enough to be served by Katy who attentive, personable and lovely the whole time! We treated ourselves to a spread of the starters and this was a brilliant choice it was a hearty amount of food all as lovely as the rest! We highly recommend the haggis, smoked salmon and sweet potato fries! Thank you all again a lovely meal made better by great staff!

We visited the Birds and Bees on Sunday for lunch to celebrate my birthday. We needed somewhere dog friendly for our two Bostons and we're so glad we found this lovely place. We had two Sunday roasts and a chicken dish and it was delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection and the yorkies did not disappoint. Desert was also unreal, we ordered sticky toffee pudding, Banoffee Pie and they even managed to find a cheeky Apple Crumple for me! As well as the lovely food, what really stood out was the service. Every single member of staff we spoke to was so lovely. They were attentive, professional but also warm and inviting, it really was incrediable service and for that, we'll definitely be back!

Excellent pub overnight stop. You need to buy a couple of drinks for parking overnight, but we ended up eating as the food was not that pricey and btw it was excellent. Toilets till 12am, till the pub closes. Very friendly staff.

Gluten-free restaurant
Brea is a lively and contemporary Scottish restaurant that offers a diverse menu featuring locally-sourced Scottish fare, including traditional dishes like haggis and cullen skink, as well as gourmet burgers and vegan options. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh ingredients from local suppliers, including seafood from the west coast and islands. In addition to its food offerings, Brea also boasts a selection of Scottish spirits, ciders, and craft beers.
Me and my family visited Stirling and we thought it would be a good idea to see this restaurant. We were welcomed very warmly. The servers were really polite and really sweet, so thank you ☺️. The atmosphere felt really Scottish and also cosy and warmly. The food, though, was BRILLIANT. I loved it start to finish. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to finish my food before, shout out to the chef, who made the amazing food. I would REALLY recommend coming here to visit there when going to Stirling.

Such a lovely restaurant! We popped in for lunch after our Stirling Castle tour, and we're so glad we did! Their soup of the day was potato, leek, and wild garlic soup *delicious*, and hubby ordered haggis & blood sausage bon bons for starters (side note: first time in 10 days since we've been on Scotland that I tried haggis, and wow! This was so good!!!). Our mains: hubby ordered the steak burger (he raved about how good it was) and I had the haddock stuffed with smoked salmon - again, delicious! The decor is lovely and wait staff was fantastically friendly and professional. Definitely pop in to this delightful place!

What an appalling experience. Came here with my husband and kids as we fancied some decent Scottish food. My stepson ordered the kids burger which when it arrived was so hot that as he bit into it, burning hot fat came out of the burger and burnt his chin. His chin remained red for the rest of the meal. He is 9 years old and was nearly in tears so hate to think what this could have done to a younger kid. We let the staff know to hopefully avoid this happening to anyone else. My husband ordered the monkfish special and when it arrived it was an absolutely laughable portion size (see attached photo). That was £34 for the meal pictured plus some potatoes not pictured. My husband questioned it but apparently this is the size of the portion. He sent it back as there is no way we were paying for it. We eat out all of the time and have never been so shocked at the value for money of a dish. My venison was also far too undercooked. I appreciate venison should be served pink but this was genuinely like eating a chunk of raw meat - not nice. Overall it feels like this place is priced as a high quality restaurant (mains all around £20-£35, which is expensive particularly for lunch) but the quality of the cooking just doesn’t match the price point. We usually have no issues waiting a long time for good food (they are very clear about the length of time you wait for food) but we ended up waiting and then having to go somewhere else to get something to eat after. I’d seriously avoid coming here. So disappointed.

I was looking for a Scottish restaurant while visiting Sterling for a day and this one , found on Google maps, did not disappoint. The food was fresh, very tasty and beautifully presented. We had haggis and black pudding bon bons, salmon scotch egg with mussels- simply fantastic combination, and a house burger , also delicious. They have good selection of craft beers, whiskey and local gins- I highly recommend Harris. The service was attentive and polite.
Kasia S — Google review
We stopped by here after visiting the castle for lunch. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious - scallops, prawns and the haggis bon bons. Most of the menu items are takes on traditional Scottish dishes and definitely worth trying. I took off a star because it is on the more expensive side especially if you have an alcoholic drink!
Sujata R — Google review
Beautiful meal! 🥘 had the smoked salmon wrapped in haddock and it was delicious, simply fell apart. The mash was lovely and creamy and the veggies perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back!
Cara S — Google review
We were lucky enough to have this place recommended to us while we were stuck on a train. This was one of the best meals we've ever had. I had the haggis (first time trying it) with a turnip puree and it was divine. Highly recommend this spot
Bellal C — Google review
Absolutely faultless! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and felt very looked after! Nuala and Jill were absolute gems! They really helped us decide what to choose as well because the menu was so tempting we just wanted to have everything! We decided to start with the haggis and black pudding bonbons with turnip purée and an amazing whisky sauce which were absolutely delicious and then scallops with roasted cauliflower purée and crispy Parma ham. No words 😋 For main course Meni had the swordfish loin which was served with a mango and papaya salsa and some roasted tomatoes on the side with a side salad which was perfectly dressed. I had the rolled haddock which was actually stuffed with salmon and served with perfectly cooked vegetables and a creamy del sauce. I’ve never had a dish like this and it was highly recommended by. Nuala! Of course we couldn’t leave without having sticky toffee pudding and I have to say one of my absolute favourites is from a place in Orkney but this actually rivalled their sticky toffee pudding! A huge thank you to all the staff for making it a very special birthday dinner!

The Inn at Torbrex is a charming family-run bar and Scottish eatery housed in a restored 18th-century building. The homely dining rooms offer a cozy atmosphere, and the staff are known for their genuine warmth and friendliness. The establishment has become popular with both locals and visitors, offering a lovely bar and restaurant area with attentive service. While the building can be a bit chilly due to an issue with the front door, the delicious food at reasonable prices makes it worth visiting again.
We had a lovely Sunday roast at The Inn at Torbex! The roast beef was cooked to perfection and I loved the giant Yorkshire pudding! This was our first visit here but it certainly won’t be our last! The staff were lovely and the prices reasonable.

Came here to eat on a road trip Service was extraordinary, staff were friendly, and we’re happy to give us good information on the menu – and recommend recommendations for other local things in the area. The steak and ale pie was really extraordinary – flavorful, rich, delicious, and cooked to perfection. The rest of the menu looked unique – although may be lacking in vegetables, which seems to be a pretty standard thing in these parts. I would go back in a heartbeat for dinner or a roast.

Excellent wee hidden gem. Quiet and lovely decorated. Cozy ambience and the ladies were absolutely fantastic, great manners and great service. The food was really nice as well, pub style but well presented.

A true hidden gem! The food and atmosphere were outstanding, and the service made the experience even better. Tucked away in a quiet suburban neighborhood, the restaurant sits inside a charming teal-themed old house that instantly gives off a warm, homey vibe. Every dish felt crafted with care.

I was here Sunday evening for a meal with a friend. The menu was varied and we really enjoyed what we chose. Chorizo and prawn with penne was absolutely excellent. My friend had the breaded scampi and she enjoyed it immensely. Compliments all round to the chefs. The restaurant was very busy but the three waitresses were extremely helpful, friendly and delivered service with a smile. Staff like this are worth their weight in gold. Thank you!

Monterey Jack's Stirling is a popular spot located in the heart of Dunblane's historic High Street. The restaurant offers a relaxed and rustic atmosphere, with a diverse menu featuring delicious options like nachos and halloumi bites. The cocktail menu boasts over 35 options, including the opportunity to upgrade your cocktail to a barrel. Special offers on seasonal cocktails and competitions for great prizes are often available, so it's worth checking their social media for updates.
We visited Monterey Jacks for the first time in about a year and it was brilliant! We had a few mixed experiences previously but I'm not sure if there has been a recent change in staffing/management because the service today was brilliant. Rebekah was really friendly and checked in on us throughout. The Mac and cheese Nachos were amazing as always!

Had such a lovely lunch here today. The chicken, bacon and waffles was incredible. The chicken is soooo good! Grant was our server, he was really nice and informative and friendly. Will definitely be back 😊

Really good spot, fulfilled our craving for fried chicken which was really tasty. Love the idea with the ice cream bar too. Only slight complaint was how quickly the food came out between start and main, but lucky we were hungry!
Dan H — Google review
Purchased burgers and they were decent. They claim best burger, but not sure they live up to the hype. They were good, but I wouldn't consider them the best by any means. They have a lot of options and toppings to choose from to make your burger interesting.
Aaron K — Google review
We visited Monterey Jack's on a Tuesday with a group of 19 people. The first round of drinks was very quick and delicious, and therefore promising. But shortly after, we discovered that this place doesn't handle large groups well. The food took an insanely long time to arrive. (Some people had already finished eating before the others got theirs.) The portions were quite small and disproportionate. The Mexican salad was 90% nacho, with just a small handful of lettuce. Also, several adjustments weren't applied. And the Corn Ribs were very expensive for what you got (£7,50). In conclusion: Only the chicken dishes were actually good. Wouldn't recommend this place, especially for large groups.

Nestled in the heart of Edinburgh, City Walls is a contemporary pub that boasts an inviting atmosphere with its exposed brick and pipe decor. This vibrant spot offers a simple yet satisfying menu, perfect for casual dining while catching live sports on TV or enjoying weekend DJ sets. Great atmosphere, supported by great staff. Very helpful and engaging. Food came out quickly, however it wasn’t the greatest pub grub. I had the beef and ale pie. 6/10. Beers were on par for Stirling. Very clean establishment.

Lovely pub and good food. Nice sun trap upstairs. Food is lovely and cooked to perfection. Drinks are reasonable and quickly served. Staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you whatever you need. Will definitely be back.

I decided to go to City Wall to do some studying and grab some lunch for their lunch special (£8.49 for a lunch dish, chips, and drink). The steak and cheese sandwich was alright, the cheese wasn’t the greatest since it was two slices of cheese that wasn’t melted on it. The service was great though! I ordered up at the bar with no wait and they brought me my silverware to my table about 5 minutes after I ordered. I was shocking surprised that the pub wasn’t busy at 12:45 with two major football games going on, so I was able to snag a table almost immediately. I would definitely come for the drinks and maybe different food :)

This fine establishment blew my mind as we stepped through the golden doors thirsty for a pint. The interior of this majestic mind blowing establishment was a thing for the finest newspapers. The bar awakens the senses with its magenta hue and the finest spirits awaken the mind. The cider glasses are so exquisite that I would love to gift one to my grandmother for her glass cabinet. Overall this majestic establishment contributed to a fabulous experience of an evening. Lots of Laughter and love was expressed. As soon as we stepped the atmosphere blew me off my feet and astounded me with its natural beauty and finesse. The wine selection here is just simply exquisite, you must come here! I swear it. Peroni is good, I like peroni from here would have peroni again from here, cheers x. Love the lemon cider, top tier, thank you god ! If I died tonight, I would be content knowing my last moments were spent in this glorious establishment.

Greetings from Czech Republic. We initially wanted to visit the Baker street location, but were recommended the second one, City Walls. They were sadly out of Fish&Chips, but that could be expected as it was rather later in the afternoon. Ordered several beers and ciders and weren't disappointed, although one of us was rather confused as they received a bottled beer but wanted a draft beer. You receive bottled beer under the Beer section in the menu, and right above it, with a small writing and without any bigger title, there is a text that you need to go to the bar to see what draft beers they offer. That is rather unfortunate but the beer was good so no biggie. Other than that the Chicken Kari was out of this world, as well as the Meat pies. Will visit again when our ways cross again! Definitely worth a try! And the lady at the bar was phenomenal and recommended us up to our liking instead of what wasn't available.

Myself and the University of Stirling Equestrian Club had a wonderful celebratory meal at City Walls last night! 🐎💚 We were there to celebrate our new BUCS teams for the year, and as always, the whole City Walls team made us feel so welcome. They’re incredibly friendly, accommodating, and the food was exceptional (special shoutout to the steak pie and mash – unreal!!). Gastropub
Nicky-Tams Bar & Bothy, established in 1718, is one of the oldest bars in Stirling and a favorite among locals, students, and visitors. The cozy wood-clad venue offers traditional pub fare along with local ales and cocktail pitchers. The warm and relaxing atmosphere adds to its charm, making it a popular spot for live music nights. The bar's history dates back to Laird Graigengelt's ownership, with his family crest still displayed above the doors.
Only wish we had a traditional pub like Nicky Tams closer to us , instead of the usual 'commercial' rubbish in most towns in the UK. Not only did we receive a warm Scottish welcome at Nicky Tams , but it was lovely to see Scottish food on the menu , and soon we were both tucking into a very generous portion of the most delicious haggis, neeps and tatties . Great beer too. Only wish we had been staying in Stirling instead of passing through, would have loved to returned another night.
Alison L — Google review
A good night. My meal of steak and ale pie was on the small side but the meat in the pie was excellent. Great atmosphere once the open Mike night started at 9 pm. Friendly people in the bar helped the atmosphere too. Staff didn’t interact with me but were friendly to people at the bar.

If your spidey sense goes off when you walk in the door don't ignore it. We fell for the five star reviews and left the Pub we were in to enjoy the best steak pie ever. Independently we each had thoughts that maybe this wasn't going to be as good as it was promised to be, but stayed anyway. Not worth it. The place was near the castle, I was hungry and although there was some atmosphere no-one came to see me. I waited and just got up got a beer at the bar and sat at the window. It was nice but attention to customer was definately lacking.

Great food, drinks, service, music and atmosphere. Can’t think of any criticisms here. Can’t go wrong with the fish and chips, beef stew or haggis.

Delicious food and beers, authentic friendly Scottish pub atmosphere! Live music every day from Monday to Saturday.

Top food, good beers, friendly servers.. great venue overall. Delicious, but really DELICIOUS haggis starter A must, will return

Only had beers in front of the bar. Service was fast and friendly. The bar could use a very good cleaning. Felt and looked dirty and musty. Furniture was in very bad shape. Not a high class pub we were looking for.

Coffee shop
Tea house
Darnley Coffee House is a charming cafe located in the ground floor vaulted cellars of a historic house on Bow Street in Stirling. Despite local legend suggesting Lord Darnley once stayed here, the building wasn't constructed until after his death. The cafe offers a cozy and homely atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to enjoy delicious sandwiches and coffee. Additionally, it serves home baking, soups, and has a good vegan menu.
We had the best experience here! Cozy atmosphere, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and great food. Our dogs were absolutely pampered with treats, and we very much enjoyed our toasties and soup!

Lovely, lovely lunch. If you are thinking of a healthy, homemade lunch which won't kill your wallet that's the place to be. However the place gets busy so you may not get a table straight away. The menu is made of baked potatoes, toasties and soups. We decided to go for a soup and salad and it was yummy. Very good and quick service. I would recommend it.
Anna S — Google review
We each had smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches, home made broccoli and chicken soup, and their homemade cordials (strawberry & basil and rhubarb, orange & vanilla). Everything was amazing. Some of the best soup we’ve ever tasted. The history and charm of the place is amazing. We’re so glad we stopped in
Chris B — Google review
I was warmly welcomed in here. This place has character as it is an older building. I was chuffed to get a window seat. I was only looking for a cup of tea since I had already had my lunch. Highly recommended cafe.
Allan M — Google review
Spotted this coffee shop on Google Maps as walking distance from Stirling Castle and near P2 bus stop. Our timing was perfect and seated before a tourist group of 16 arrived who had pre-booked. Such a great selection of freshly grounded coffee served in a cafeteria. Freshly made food from scones to soup and more. Great atmosphere and location
David W — Google review
Lovely little café — we got a seat straight away, and there was a great choice of food. Our meal was delicious and reasonably priced. The café has such an interesting history — it was once owned by Darnley, Mary Queen of Scots’ husband, and has even been a brothel and a tourist shop at one point! It’s full of character and perfectly located near both the castle and the monument. Staff were lovely and helpful too!

This hole in the wall place was such a lovely find! The scones we had were light and fluffy, the cream was excellent, and the jam was so flavorful. Add to that the friendly waitstaff and nice atmosphere and you have a winner. My boyfriend and I can strongly recommend this place 🙌🏼

Had amazing lunch! The food was great, you just know when someone makes something with their whole heart. The service was amazing, the waiter's smile made my day! I loved the cozy interior of the place, it was clean and looked taken care of. The food was not only astonishing but also affordable. 10/10 would recommend greetings from poland 💪

Restaurant
The Linden Inn Bar & Steakhouse offers a nostalgic experience reminiscent of old candy shops, with a warm and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is known for its excellent service and high-quality food at reasonable prices. Customers rave about the perfectly cooked steaks, delicious side dishes, and friendly staff. The establishment also features lovely decor, outdoor space, and is both dog-friendly in the bar area and family-friendly overall. It's definitely worth a visit for a wonderful dining experience.
⭐ HIGHLY RECOMMEND ⭐ What a hidden gem, in the mood for a steak, I found this place via a Google search. I pre booked a table and rightly so as this quaint place is a busy one. Walking in we were greeted by a lovely front of house, promptly sat down even though we were a little early. The cosy cabin in the woods feels like the place adds that seasonal feels perfect for the festive time. A great selection of drinks with an in-house bar, and ample options on their menu even catering to children. We both had the soup of the day (lentil) and I myself had a sirloin steak medium and my partner had the chicken burger. Both cooked to absolute perfection, the steak was beautifully seasoned, every bite delicious. The peppercorn sauce I could have drank it was so delicious. I have eaten at some very high end restaurants and this by far is the best steak I've had. My partner voiced high praise for the chicken burger, hand made in house with their batter. The chef is impeccable at what they produce and I cannot praise them enough on their standard and attention to detail. We absolutely will be back and will be recommending to friends and family too. Thank you The Linden for such quality and class and again high praise to all staff especially the chef 🙏🏼.

Went here on recommendation from a friend & wasn't disappointed. Emailed prior to reserve a table & received a friendly reply. There is a smallish car park at the back & some space at the side & on the road. Friendly staff greeted us & despite the turnover of tables being busy, the staff were attentive at checking we were all ok. The menu has a good range of choices & our food was delicious. It was also a reasonable price. Will definitely go again when visiting Stirling

This was the best meal we’ve had in the UK. Don’t let the location in the industrial park for you. This is a great steakhouse. The steaks were prepared perfectly and were large portions. James, our server was terrific and gave us local information about other things that we’d be seeing. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I came here on a visit from the US because the reviews said they had good gluten free food. They were so right!!! The restaurant was very clean, the wait staff was excellent, and the food was so delicious! The best food I have had in Scotland! I had butterflied chicken breast with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and Diane sauce. It was an extraordinary experience.
Lynell J — Google review
We were recommended this restaurant by a work colleague and I can't say I'm disappointed, lovely relaxed atmosphere, laid back, efficient, friendly staff who delivered a quick and professional service. I can't fault anything. Next time I will try one of the cocktails. The decor is lovely and modern. Can't wait to come back for date night when it's just mum and dad! Plenty of parking, easily accessible, great food and great staff, all you could want when you are dining out.
Laura C — Google review
The food is just okay. The variety on the menu is good but this might mean some items are frozen and not homemade. I got the fish and chips and the fish was quite greasy (I had to blot some of the oil out)! They say some items are served with 'chips' and they also have 'fries' available but they're both the same thing which is a bit unfortunate. I think the steaks are worth trying as the beef medallions we got were quite good, although would be good to have the sauce on the side to allow people to have as much as they prefer!

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of the city, Nooch Bar and Kitchen is a delightful vegan cafe, bar, and restaurant that opened its doors in December 2022. Operating from Wednesday to Sunday starting at 11:30 am, this vibrant spot offers a classic cafe experience with sandwiches, cakes, and coffee while also showcasing innovative vegan dishes like Korean fried mushroom burgers paired with kimchi.
Amazing! I recently visited and having been vegan for over a year now, I was shocked when I realised I’ve never been to a fully vegan restaurant! This was more than I expected! It’s so refreshing to be able to have anything on the menu, and what a lot of choice! I had the daal with tatties and it was beautiful! Then I had a slice of the chocolate cake for dessert which was again so delicious! The atmosphere was lovely and perfect for me as someone who gets easily sensory overwhelmed. I will be coming back again. Thank you for making this an experience I will remember!
Marley B — Google review
If I could give 6 stars I would! From booking over the phone to leaving we could not fault the restaurant. The menu is small but we liked that as it means they can perfect it & we can try most of it! We had olives & nuts plus We shared the haggis main as a starter & it was enough for three of us to try it & it was tasty! With the pepper sauce poured over the top it gave it that edge. For mains we had the beet burger, Mac n cheese & the gyros. I prefer gluten free but they didn’t have the pitta so I asked for it in the bun. All three were very good, right portion size & tasty. When we went to order desert the waitress remembered I was gluten free & she’d already checked that they had a GF cheesecake… that was very impressive that she’d remembered & checked. The cheesecake was the best vegan one we’d had & the vanilla ice cream tasted of honey & vanilla which was really creamy. We had a lot of food, a few no alcohol drinks, deserts & the bill was under £100 which we thought was very good value for three people & the amount of food we’d had. The staff were very attentive & professional. If you’re vegan or not I highly recommend this restaurant…

+Great vibe and atmosphere. +Friendly and professional service👍 +Vegan restaurant 🥳 +Clean toilets. +Comfortably lit setting. +Cool artwork on the walls. -99% of the menu contains rapeseed oil. -I thought portions were small and prices were big (the person I was dining with was happy with the size and price). -Music volume was a little loud at times (we were near the speaker); good music though.
Michael B — Google review
Five Star review as that’s all we can give… simply amazing and well worth the hour drive over from Aberfoyle! Beth (Front of House) made sure that we had a super experience and was great with recommendations and dealing with food preferences. We enjoyed some Gordal olives and house roasted nuts while we waited for our starter/ sharer of haggis Bon Bon’s… we had three different mains - the Gyros, the Beet Burger, and the Nooch Mac and all were sublime! To finish, we opted for the Strawberry Cheesecake and were not disappointed. An absolute sterling find in Stirling - we will be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for good food in and around Stirling!
John M — Google review
Vegan done right. Every dish had full flavor, the staff was knowledgeable, and the decor was relaxing. Went on a date and it was quiet enough to hold easy conversation, recommended food hit just right, and we ended up topping it off with one of the best vegan cheese cakes we’ve tasted. Definitely recommend to all, including those who don’t typically lean toward vegan foods.

We dined at Nooch and were thoroughly impressed by the excellent food and service. My wife enjoyed the Gyros, while I opted for the Buffalo Tofu Burger special, and shared a side of tenderstem broccoli. The portion sizes were ideal—not overly large or too small—which meant I had room for a delicious dessert. We highly recommend this restaurant.

The Stirling Highland Hotel is a refined and luxurious accommodation option in the heart of Stirling, offering a blend of rich history and modern amenities. Housed in a magnificent Victorian building that was once the city's High School, this hotel provides an elegant setting for travelers seeking an unforgettable experience. The grand lobby welcomes guests with plush armchairs and soaring ceilings, creating a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploration.
Love the ambiance of this old school-now hotel. Fantastic location with easy walk to train, Castle, Stirling Bridge and longer walk to the William Wallace Monument. Lots of fun snickets to cut between streets. Amazing architecture all around with every other building worth a long look. Warning: very hilly! Wear good walking shoes. Restaurant in the hotel is quite good and has great service. Only reason for the missing star on the rooms is that the mattress is a wee bit tired and the bathroom as well. But all fully functional!! Staff are all friendly and helpful.
Bryn D — Google review
The rooms are basic amenities, But very very clean. We stayed in a dog friendly room and it was immaculate. The choice of food from the hotel is also basic, but some good options if you’re stuck. The leisure facilities are also good, lovely gym and I enjoyed the sauna and steam room. I don’t think that if you have already payed for a hotel stay you should also have to pay to use those facilities tho! Hotel location is perfect, 10 minutes from the train station, really close to every shop you could need. Overall a lovely stay.
Natasha F — Google review
Quirky hotel with good facilities but a few flights of stairs to navigate. Our room was comfortable with decent bath & shower and wide bed. Lovely views over Stirling. Slight downside was TV reception which seemed worse when neighbouring room had theirs on. Very patchy at times. Leisure pool great. Breakfast ok (self service) but surprisingly no porridge on menu, in Scotland really? Otherwise a good hotel, although felt sorry for lone receptionist, especially when having to accommodate coach parties. A bit of a steep climb up from the railway station but a nice central location.
David P — Google review
I give it 3.5 stars at best. It's most attractive draw is the central location and history. Everything else is overrated. Some parts of the hotel are filthy(streetside lower entrance for one). And some parts are handicapped unfriendly. The bath & bed was clean & acceptable. The mattress is a little lumpy, but comfortable. There was a filthy, broken remote, along with damaged hanger & tissue holder(fell off & would not stay). The re was dirt/food splashes on wall. The desk & table tops appeared to be dirty. The windows only open a crack & there is no a/c, so it might behoove a guest to pack a small fan if neede d. The carpet appeared clean & nice...too bad the rest of the furnishings (dated & worn) are not visually appealing & matching. The bar floor was sticky like it had not been mopped for some time. Kaitlyn in the spa gets 5 stars as she gives a proper massage. The housekeeping staff, along with the bar/restaurant folks, were warm & helpful. I would not stay there again unless there were a price drop & attentions to this property.
John L — Google review
Honestly loved it. Beds were so comfortable and rooms were spacious. I love the history of the place and how they kept the design. Check out the observatory on top of the hotel if you’re in the area. Truly the coolest.
Alexandra B — Google review
This is a former old high school in Stirling and the age of the building does show in places. Upkeep in such a property is not easy and would be expensive. That said it is a nice hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Very central but a very steep walk up from town which can be difficult for older guests. Breakfast is great with superb selection of continental style buffet and hot Scottish breakfast staples including haggis.
Tom W — Google review
We had a really enjoyable stay at the Stirling Highland Hotel. The staff were wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and easy. The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavour, beautifully presented, and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The leisure facilities, including the pool, hot tub, and sauna, were great and just as you’d expect from a public setup: clean, well-maintained, and a nice bonus to have on site. The only downside was the room, which was quite dated, and the walls were very thin, we could hear our neighbour talking on the phone and walking around, which wasn’t ideal. Overall, it’s a charming hotel with excellent staff, great food, and decent facilities. A few updates to the rooms and it would easily be a five-star experience.
Shaun F — Google review
The shared areas in the hotel were good unfortunately the rooms were in need of some attention. Shower in the bath was a little slow. Breakfast is self was ok but the space available to make your selection at the buffet was limited however the was lots of space behind for the kitchen staff to top up. I did discuss this with the manager and advised he should try squeeze between the tables and other guests and see the limitations from the customers point of view but he clearly was not interested.

Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. The bar/resteraunt was rather short staffed. It was a busy area. Poor guy was basically on his own. However, he was magnificent. Charming not flustered with great customer care. That guy needs a raise, better still more help. Overall a good stay. Book in was simple. Staff were all good.
Mark D — Google review
First impression, the room looked nothing like the photos. Very run down, old and smelt musky. The first evening meal was awful. The kitchen ran out of half of the ingredients and couldn’t put two decent meals together. This continued for the duration of the stay (3 nights). The only positive, what food I did have did actually taste alright though, but not once was it the full meal as described on the menu due to a lack of ingredients. Service however was poor and slow meaning I didn’t have much of an evening. I was staying for work, so working during the day and needed my rest. On the third night (a Thursday) the hotel decided to have an event with 90 people. Loud music and lots of load cheers. I’m glad they were having a great time, unfortunately after a long day at work and an early start with a 7 hour drive the next morning, I wasn’t having such a good time. Don’t stay here unless you’re desperate, my work book here regularly and I’ll now advise them against using this hotel in the future.

Stayed here on Sunday for the night and the room was clean put had no fan and it was bloody warm even with the windows open. When we got here found out swimming pool was shut so couldn't use that ,it was the whole reason of stopping here. So had one upset kid and my husband is disabled and we at to walk far to get lift then he had to go down steps to get to the room and walk some more my husband as COPD so gets out of breath. They had rooms downstairs they should have given us one of those rooms downstairs as when we booked there wasn't a option for that

Hotel is located on a University campus. You need to have a car to stay here. Lots of parking. No elevator. Rooms were spacious and clean. Had everything we needed. Rooms could use an upgrade.
R D — Google review
The Court Hotel is located on the university campus of Stirling and is well connected to the city centre by bus. With a price of 110 pounds per night, the hotel is in a category where guests can expect a certain level of comfort. The infrastructure is comprehensive: restaurant, bar, fitness room and swimming pool are available. The solid selection of drinks at the bar is positive, but there is no inviting atmosphere. The rooms exude the rustic style of the 1980s: fixed wooden elements, heavy curtains, fabric-covered walls and functional furniture. Despite small touches of colour, the impression is more of a dormitory room than a comfortable hotel room. The ambience is sober, the furnishings functional - apart from a kettle and small TV, there are no modern amenities. Acceptable for one night, but not very attractive for longer stays. Conclusion: The Hotel Court is a functional accommodation with a complete infrastructure that is particularly suitable for short stays. However, anyone expecting atmosphere, comfort and contemporary design will be disappointed.
Bit H — Google review
Close to the Monument, Far from Luxury Stirling Court Hotel is situated within the university campus, surrounded by peaceful lawns and quiet paths. While the location is calm and only a 15-minute walk to the Wallace Monument, it’s not ideal for exploring Stirling unless you have a car – though buses do run from the university. Staff Generally polite, though not especially proactive. The receptionist came across as somewhat dry or ironic rather than warmly welcoming. Bar and domestic staff were courteous and professional. Facilities The furniture in the room was visibly scratched, some power outlets didn’t work, and the TV offered only basic channels. There was no minibar or fridge, though a kettle with tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits was provided. Basic towels were clean. The soap and shampoo dispensers seemed overly diluted. The beds were on the firmer side and not particularly comfortable. Cleanliness Despite the room's worn features, cleanliness was at a good level. The bedding was fresh and spotless, and the general tidiness of the room was commendable. Comfort Below expectations – mainly due to the hard mattress and lack of refrigeration for drinks. Price The price felt too high for the level of service and comfort offered. Parking A spacious parking area is available near the entrance. You don’t need a ticket to enter, but you must register your vehicle’s plate at reception. Warning signs about fines are posted all around the university grounds – not something you can easily miss! Signage One notable issue is the signage: the way to the hotel is not clearly marked. Larger, more visible directional signs would greatly help guests unfamiliar with the campus layout. Summary A hotel that delivers the basics but not much more. It’s close to nature and the Wallace Monument – but far from four-star comfort.

Just to say we all had an absolutely brilliant time on Saturday night at the Diva Decades tribute night, everything was perfect. We were able to sit in the bar when we arrived, they pulled tables and chairs together to accommodate us and we were able to play a few wee games and nobody had any objection. The tribute night was fab the girls were great, we thought they would probably do an hour but it was a lot more. The DJ was perfect songs to suit everyone in the room, even did the slosh which suites us oldies lol. The birthday girls and brides to be were given a rose and made to feel special. What a great crowd, even the people we didn’t know joined in they were lovely and wished me Happy Birthday. We will definitely be back for our next celebration, in fact my friend said ‘why don’t we just make something up to celebrate’ lol.

Welcome was friendly. Service generally friendly but staff clearly not trained properly. Room very tired. Bed not made properly, sheets cheap and poor quality, bed very uncomfortable and room too hot. Room not serviced properly as previous occupants clothes left in a drawer. TV good but too complicated to use and no instructions. It's a conference hotel so they don't seem to bother with hotel basics.

I got married here! I also had dinner with family the day before and dinner with the photographer the week before. The bar area is lovely and relaxed with a good selection of drinks including alcohol free, just beware the lights on the suspended ceiling are liable to bounce when there is a disco going on upstairs. The dining room (garden room) is lovely. The food is delicious, along with desserts and coffee and shortbread and Scottish tablet. Breakfast was excellent too. The staff are all so lovely and friendly and helpful. The wedding coordinator Tricia is amazing. I would highly recommend this venue for dinner or events or weddings.

This was a real special find. Very friendly staff. We chose this hotel to be away from Edinburgh so we could drive for day picnics to the highlands. The hotel itself is very charming with good parking and situated just outside the town of Stirling. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast spread was excellent. We also tried their restaurant for dinner one evening and I would definitely recommend having a meal there. The town of Stirling and its castle are worth visiting.

Stayed one night as working in the area, nice friendly welcome and took a late booking for dinner. Food was very nice and served efficiently with a smile. Breakfas was the same, plenty in the buffet and good quality. The room was spacious and extremely clean with my only gripe being the insufferable heat on the first floor, a fan would be a good addition to the room. I would look forward to staying there again.

We got married here and held our reception here. The staff were excellent, with particular plaudits for the wedding coordinator who made everything straightforward. The food was really good, fitting in all the dietary requirements, and we had the most wonderful of days.

Myself and my wife got married here on August the 16th this year. Firstly I'd like to thank Tricia and all the staff at the hotel for all their efforts in making our day one hell of a special one, everyone who was in attendance said the hotel put on a cracking day and night, the decor, the food and everything was amazing. The whole day went brilliant with only 1 hiccup which had nothing to do with the hotel or any of it's staff, we had ordered a wedding cake and we were so caught up in everything to even notice it hadn't arrived, Tricia let us know and she went above and beyond to go and get us the perfect wedding cake which added to the magical day it already was and we now have a funny little story to tell in the future. Thank you all so much everyone at The King Robert Hotel. Mr and Mrs Noble

The hotel's proximity to Stirling Castle, National Wallace Monument, and Church of the Holy Rude makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. Guests can enjoy the refined restaurant and bar area even without staying at the hotel.
The room is lovely! While it lacks in ac, I don't think that's generally a problem outside of atypical heat waves. My room has been quiet, spacious, the staff have been lovely, and the location is fantastic with great access to the rail and various venues.

Ground floor room was spacious and well appointed, if noisy at night - no soundproofing and loud voices in the corridor, we will ask for an end of corridor 1st floor room next time. Lounge bar was pleasant and comfortable, smokers catered for with good outside seating. No restaurant as such, only breakfasts and afternoon tea, but no shortage of places to eat in town. Bar well stocked, fair 'hotel prices'. Service and staff all excellent and helpful, welcoming and accommodating.
David R — Google review
We stayed for three nights in a King delux room in September 2025. The staff were very good. They worked hard and were very polite. The first room we were in while big was looking very worn. After the first night the toilet would not refill to flush. We advised the reception at 9.30am when we left to explore. We came back in the early afternoon to find it still wasn’t working and advised them again. We went out again and when we got back it was still not working and was advised maintenance had gone home. Consequently the young man managed to change our room. It was also very worn particularly the carpet. The breakfast was the worst we had in the 5 weeks we’d already had in the uk. We couldn’t even drink the coffee as it had no flavour. The only saving grace for this hotel is it’s in a great position to explore the castle and surrounds on foot. The sad thing is it could be great if the owners invested some money into maintenance and a decent breakfast.

The location was perfect. Stirling is such a beautiful city. The view was amazing. The staff was so kind and friendly. Eilidh was splendid at the bar. The rooms were pretty good. The carpet was very warn and the bathroom sink looked like someone tried to sit on it, so it was cracked and coming from the wall. That said it worked just fine and was not an inconvenience. The bed was very comfortable and all the amenities were well stocked and abundant. Oh and the bathroom soaps are so nice I want to get them for home. Thank you very much. ❤️

It never came so we ended up getting a refund for that The service is poor I received a mail from the hotel manager asking for comments on our stay which I think was an automated mail We had asked twice forthe hotel manager to call prior but never got one I sent our comments how disappointing our stay was as the decor was beautiful downstairs the service wasn’t good Sent photos of the initial room and requested a refund for the one night we stayed in it only to be told no “ you stayed in the room 2 nights “ which was a lie we only stayed in it the first night as no alternative accommodation could be found If we could have found something else we would It’s sad really as the location is good the decor when you enter is beautiful and after being moved from the initial terrible room the other bedroom we had for the following two nights was nice All I all I wouldn’t go back

A well placed hotel perfectly placed, lets it self down with the past its best bed and room furniture which desperately needs replacing. Continental breakfast only as the kitchen had no gas! This could be a great hotel but currently falls short of quality which is bettered even by a Premier inn.
Kevin C — Google review
Not a great experience, Been staying for five days no hot breakfast as the kitchen is broken, no elevator to the second floor it’s all stairs. On the first night they run out of beer at the bar after pulling just a couple of pints and couldn’t get any more. Amazingly you have to pay for Coffee at breakfast if you want anything other than crap coffee from a jug. I’m sure there’s going to be better places to stay in the Sterling area. My recommendation would be to avoid this one.

I stayed here for two nights and it was lovely. However the standard of the rooms for the price are pretty poor. The rooms just need freshened up. Pretty poor considering other areas in the hotel which are lovely. Personally wouldn’t stay again

Lovely welcoming Hotel. Every member of staff was so friendly and attentive, always available for a chat and nothing too much trouble. All staff are extremely knowledgeable of the area and always happy to advise on the best way to get to various visitor attractions and areas . The hotel itself is just outside the centre, (if travelling by train the P1 bus is very handy) The breakfasts are delicious. The rooms were absolutely spotless, with free toiletries in the bathroom. Beds are very comfortable, and I loved the choice of hard or soft pillows. if you get the right room there are some stunning views of the mountains and the Wallace monument. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to visit it again very , very soon .

Just checked in for a few nights for work. Greeted on arrival by friendly, attentive staff. Hotel clean and bright, with a little section set aside for snacks and drinks at reception. Bar looks well stocked and comfy.

Great little hotel with lots of parking and easy access. Stayed here a few times and in the past there was a complex parking system but now its all at the check-in desk and much better. Also they have a proper boiler for tea so 5 stars - no notes!

Standard Holiday Inn Express. Quiet, clean, a little out of town so you will need to drive but there's a pub across the road. Heaps of free parking right out front and check in was super quick. However the rooms are very small, with zero cupboards and no place for suitcase at all.

The room was nice apart from the air conditioning unit dripping on the bed. Be prepared to deal with a parking ticket. Our car was issued a ticket at the time we were checking in at the front desk.

Lost Guest House Stirling is a charming hotel located in a tranquil area of Stirling, offering homely and contemporary rooms. The property is well-equipped and furnished to a high standard, providing excellent facilities for guests. Situated just 3.1 km from The National Wallace Monument and within walking distance of Stirling Castle, this 3-star guest house boasts modern rooms and convenient amenities such as free self-parking and a terrace.
Located in the Older part of Sterling, its a great place to get to see the old town. Close to coffee shops and central town as well as walking distance to all the main tourist points like Holy Rude Church and the Sterling Castle. The lady that runs the B&B is very Scottish and warm and welcoming woman. Very accomidating and great sense of humour. She made the stay incredibly enjoyable and welcoming.

Photo is a view from the hotel room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Family run business. Could smell how clean it was the second you walked in. Although somewhat dated, rooms were clean, tidy, and very affordable given their close proximity to Stirling city centre. Check-in and out was quick and easy. Highly recommend. Parking on sight.

1. Very reasonably priced around Edinburgh or glasgough area..you won't find such a good deal. Three beds and price point unbeatable. 2. Very friendly staff. 3. Breakfast was great freshly made and just $6 each person. For a full Scottish breakfast that's also a steal. 4. You have parking and internet there free 5. The place has everything you need for a reasonable price point. Strongly recommend.
Rahul R — Google review
We arrived in our room and we're greeted with a prominent sweat smell. Upon complaining we received a can of air freshener. Upon further inspection the room was nog clean at all, floor wasn't hoovered and the beds were dirty (the bed was made, but there were hears and crumbs all over). The bathroom was also cleaned for looks only as there were quite a lot of stains (and mold). When complaining about the dirty bedsheets the woman at the desk blamed the housekeeping, but offered a free breakfast as compensation and started on replacing the sheets while we got the rest of our stuff from the car. When we got back she told us she'd replaced both beds, but it was very clear she only did one of them. Under loud complaints of other people not doing their work and she assuring us she'd replaced the sheets she did it anyway and we finally had clean sheets. Very weird experience. The hotel is also close to a rather busy road with a police station nearby so light sleepers beware.

Lost guest house is okay for a 4 night stay. Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in by any means, but it had some critical flaws that I feel really let down our stay. Pros; Good parking Good info at the front desk Good price Full-size bath in room Cons; A bit beaten up in appearance Very hard to get ahold of staff at front desk Spotty TV connection Very, very poor WiFi (I think another guest was even unplugging the router or something?) No room cleaning throughout our stay

Had a good peaceful stay here. Services were excellent and a beautiful breakfast 🥣 here. Staff are so welcoming and friendly so easy to talk to. Would recommend this place to my friends and family. Great prices to
Craig A — Google review
Good price, breakfast was a bit expensive and the shower was hell. Good for travelling on a budget, but would not necessarily come back myself.
Lilli M — Google review
Small room with a twin bed, but as a solo traveller that was fine for me. Would love to have had a luggage stand so that I could easily access my bag instead of having to put it on the floor or on the bed. The spot is close to downtown Stirling and about a 20 minute walk to Stirling Castle and does offer parking making it a great spot to stay if you want access to those things and not to have to worry about driving to those things. There’s a couple of great coffee shops, breakfast options and as well it looks like a couple of great pubs, with a short walk from the bed and breakfast. My biggest frustration was with the shower when the water pressure is pretty low in about two minutes and you lose your hot water so you go from warm or hot water to freezing cold and then you have to allow the unit to warm back up again . The other thing is, there’s absolutely nowhere to place your toiletries in the area of the shower. So you just have to set them on the floor. A little shelf in the shower would be very useful!

Nestled within the expansive University of Stirling Campus, Willow Court offers comfortable and contemporary single rooms with free parking and en-suite bathrooms. Guests can enjoy access to various campus facilities including a bistro, indoor swimming pool, fitness center, golf course, and tennis courts. The accommodation also features a shared garden and communal kitchen/living areas with scenic views. Visitors have praised the immaculate cleanliness of the rooms as well as the friendly and helpful staff.
The rooms overall were great. The beds left something to be desired for most of the adults I was traveling with. Didn't really hear any complaints from the teenagers.
Charise V — Google review
The location is absolutely without peer. As a graduate student who came here to attend a conference at the university, I could not pick a better spot. Still, be aware that it is significantly to the north of town, and if you come here without a car, you will need to ride a bus to reach town. Continue north to the Hermitage woods, and you will find one of the most mysterious and alluring landscapes I've seen in Scotland. I stepped over vines and scrambled across fallen tree trunks like I was in an old adventure story, end of the crest of the hill I reached beautifully overgrown stone ruins. The hotel itself is fine for the money. The rooms are quite bare, but that's to be expected. My one major complaint is that there are no hand towels, and they only permit the guests to have one large towel. Asking for more towels is futile. Also, I was awoken in the middle of the night by a blaring fire alarm, but that is hopefully not a common occurrence here. Staying here is a perfectly reasonable choice if you keep all that in mind.
Joshua F — Google review
The rooms were decent, but the service and organisation of the place was a disaster. Booked a room 1 week beforehand only to get to the receptionist i was told the booking was cancelled meanwhile my account was debited. I had to show them my confirmed booking online before they resolved the issue, saying they were having system issues. Gave me a room and getting there someone else was already in that room and they didn't have it in their system the room was occupied already. Open the door with they key they provided and met the gentle man which I think is a security risk. I had to walk back down to the reception to report it and after about 15min before they provided an alternative room. Came back the next day and the room they gave wasn't even cleaned after the last guest left. The bed, bin and floor were untidy. Again I had to go back to the reception to report before I got another room. This is the worst service I have ever seen. Pathetic!

Nice surroundings at the Uni, went to the swimming pool and popped into Stirling Court Hotel nearby that's bar stayed open a little later than Willow Courts closing at 8pm.

Can't honestly fault staying here. Stayed here as a solo traveller and it was more than I expected. The grounds are beautiful going into the university from Logie cemetery. Even in the rain! Room was immaculately clean as well as the private shower. Tea, coffee were available in the room. Staff were extremely polite friendly and helpful which made my experience 100x better. Would highly recommend. Amazing value for money!

I have been working more than 10 years in hotels and hospitality industry and this is a 2-3 star hotel. I won’t recommend you to go if you expect 5 star. It is far from a 5 star hotel. Services are not enough. Rooms weren’t so good. It was so hot and they don’t have air conditioners. In my room the cold washing hands wasn’t working. The plugs wasn’t working all of them. You have to choose the breakfast the day before. Breakfast is not a 5 star hotel breakfast. The receptionist wasn’t kind about giving alternatives to have dinner outside the hotel because they were fully booked, and suggested to call by ourselves other restaurants instead of making her the reservation. The location is good.
Elisenda M — Google review
We stayed at Victoria Square for one night as a stop-over in Stirling, and we were not disappointed! We stayed in Room 6, which had a 4-poster bed and walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head, which felt amazing after our long drive. The staff was excellent and made us feel right at home. When you arrive, they also take your breakfast order for the following morning so it is ready when you want it. The hotel was also quiet, away from main streets, and we didn't hear any of the other guests. In fact, we didn't even know there were other guests we went down to breakfast. The hotel is also within walking distance from the Port Street area, which has a bunch of great places to find food and coffee. We didn't end up eating at the restaurant in the hotel.
Zach L — Google review
Definitely a charming 3-star hotel, it doesn't even come close to 5 stars. Now I will explain the reasons: A service that leaves much to be desired; at what point in a five-star hotel can you not eat in its restaurant being a guest, and if not, offer a reasonable alternative managed by the same hotel. Among other things, at what point does a five-star hotel make you order breakfast the day before and on top of that not even explain correctly how it works, definitely leading to food waste by not being able to choose what to eat. Not to mention, it was quite a poor breakfast, with just decent quality food like the croissants. Also, at what point does a five-star hotel skip explanations about how the hotel and its services work just to save time. More things among many others: dirty dishes, illegible Wi-Fi password since it was handwritten and partly erased, some cobwebs in the room and bathroom, which are not really a problem but are not what you'd expect from a five-star hotel, an unbearable heat in the room — understandable given a heat wave, but without much solution from the hotel except for a small fan. Definitely, five-star standards are higher, at least in my experience in different hotels. It is disappointing that this is considered five-star. I don't know who gives out the stars, but what you cannot give are excuses for the service if not, then you are simply not a five-star. In conclusion, under no circumstances does it meet the five-star requirements found in other countries or regions in terms of quality, service, and hospitality. Therefore, the price is highly overrated considering what you actually get. I would not recommend it unless they lower their rating or prices.

My wife and I stayed in this beautiful (hotel)Restaurant with Rooms,in the amazing Residential area of kings park only a 7 minute walk from the city centre.Full of shops Restaurants bars etc. on arrival we had the door opened for us and very warmly greeted by the reception staff every thing was explained ie keys breakfast slips and how to pre order our hot dish for breakfast, might I add this to me was a great idea as I was told it help minimise food waste which I’m all for,we were then shown to our room and when the door was opened took my breath away it was truly outstanding, welcome sherry hospitality tray water in fridge chilling all of this complimentary, also had a mini bar smart tv underfloor heating not that it was needed as we were in a heatwave, but our host kindly pointed out there was fans in the wardrobe if needed, she also pointed out the rooms were all air conditioned but it was Scottish air conditioning we had to open the windows which made us both chuckle, everything in the room was explained beautifully wi fi etc even how to light up our mirror, information folder on the bed with everything we needed regarding local restaurants and attractions even a map of the area to help us find our way.Room was spotless and beautifully presented,Breakfast was fresh and well cooked and presentation was a work of art front of house staff were very friendly and attended to our every need,my only criticism was we didn’t want to leave have already booked our return visit and can’t wait to come back,Thank you and keep doing what you do as you have got it spot on

Castle Walk Bed & Breakfast is a charming B&B located within the castle walls, offering a laid-back and comfortable stay. The rooms are lovely and cozy, with thoughtful amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi and hot chocolate. Guests can enjoy a relaxing time in the garden or on the terrace. The hosts, Jackie and Adrian, are welcoming and provide outstanding hospitality. The central location allows for easy exploration of Stirling without being bothered by city noises.
My stay at Castle Walk was enjoyable in every way. Jackie provided a clean room with a fine view, and was of great assistance in getting my luggage up to the 2nd floor (I am 83). She recommended the perfect spot for my evening meal, and (most importantly) she parked my car in a handicapped spot across the street, a feat which was beyond my capability,

Excellent location. Tiny beds with very old second hand linens. This place could be great!! But they really should consider new beds and new linens. Had to give the bed to my wife and I slept on the floor. Clarity of check in instructions could be a little better.
Joe P — Google review
Whatever you do... don't book here. Parking is not nearby and free as stated when booking through AAdvantage Hotels. Even though this was pointed out the property refused to refund based on their inaccuracies. I wish I had read the reviews prior to booking here because I can see why there are so many 1 star ratings. Again, parking sucks and don't even try to drive up the road to park in front of the bed and breakfast because there is none and you have to back out the entire way you came. We paid to park to inquire within, but no one would answer the door. UPDATED because of the reply by Castle Walk B&B: No communication was sent by Castle Walk Bed & Breakfast as stated in their reply. I even checked my spam. The only communication was from the booking agency that included only confirmation number, booking reference number, and address, so of course we had no entry code.

Stayed in room 11, which is a small double backpackers room. Comfortable bed. There was a small floor heater in the room and a cute little view into the garden. You get a key to a private washroom on the same floor and it’s large and clean. Just a 15 minute walk to Stirling Castle. Our host responded quickly to any questions we had. It was a very small, hostel-style room so be forewarned that it’s a tight squeeze for two people. However, I believe the price of this room reflects the size and we enjoyed our stay.
Jenny B — Google review
Did not like this place at all!! Horrible check in- instructions were confusing af- took us 30min to get into the actual building! After getting in, proceeded to climb 3 flights of spiral stairs (with luggage) in order to find our room (they are NOT in numerical order at all)… Entering the room it was incredibly small & cramped, bathroom had black hairs all over the tile walls 🤢 so gross!! The bed itself seems like it was built for a child from the medieval times! I am 6’ & my BF is 6’1”- it was not only too small but such an old, worn-down mattress (could feel the springs, sagged in the middle, etc), footboard was uncomfortable being so tall… After all this a 4” spider decided to grace us on the door & freaked me out so much I couldn’t sleep all night!!! Communication with the manager was not fruitful & she actually blamed US for everything 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Needless to say we will not be returning to this property & hope this review will help a fellow traveler who is on the fence about this place…. Run!!! UPDATE: I have been consistently harassed & bullied online (via Facebook) from this place, due to my review…. Very odd way to deal with former customers/people. I stand by my review & after this bullying I will warn absolutely EVERYONE about this place . Awful.
Marisha C — Google review

Great location! Once you arrive you are provided key pad codes to access the building, and a separate code for your room. Nice views from the city side. Would not recommend. I visited the pub tonight and was very disappointed. We ordered a Beaverton Gamma Ray and a Moretti. I returned these drinks to the bar as they were disgusting. I think they had went stale in the lines. Both beers smelt off. Fair enough with the Gamma Ray (I can understand it’s not ordered frequently), but Moretti ? I wasn’t offered any refund or resolution from the staff so decided just to leave. Wouldn’t recommend.

The service was 10/10 recommend, Go Sean! We blew in looking for warmth and rest for our weary feet and backs. My 11 yr old was given a still J20 after they heard she hates bubbles. I was given a Birra Moretti when asking for a good beer, and I immediately approved. I was given a small Haggis, which was good, I was pleasantly surprised because of all the buildup. It was Rich and Earthy and very satisfying. The Fish and chips were phenomenal. I haven't had better tasting fried fish served, even oceanside. My BG ate every bit of her beef burger and chips. So glad we found this spot in the alley, we are recharged and ready to conquer the steps at the Wallace Monument!!
