"The Secret Garden" is a charming cafe located in the peaceful neighborhood of Doonfoot, away from the bustling town center. Housed in a renovated cottage, it features a spacious beer garden on the decking with scenic views of the woods and river. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes including Scottish, Mexican, and Indian cuisine served all day. The cafe is praised for its generous portion sizes and delightful presentation of food.
Our friends have recently moved to Patna, we wanted somewhere local to visit for brunch so the four of us went to The Secret Garden on 3/12/24. We all had a lovely time. Two of us had the Grand Full Scottish, my wife had the French toast and our friend had the Eggs (Royale) Benedict. The food was fantastic! The coffee was great and thank you for introducing me to a dirty chai latte. Never had one before… it was yum. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service was perfect. We will definitely be back to this great cafe!

Food and atmosphere fab. Wait time was very bad and once our food came 45minutes after we ordered!- the waitress attempted to give our full Scottish breakfasts to the table next to us one of whom had also ordered full English but as I noted we had been there twenty mins longer... His wife had ordered a butty and our full English x 2 had no eggs as we requested. Once we got the food we was impressed with taste however waitress didn't ask if we wanted sauce or come back to ask if it was all OK or if we needed another drink. We called in to this place on the way to denure castle from Ayr. I would go again but I'd hope to not wait as long. I appreciate it's busy on a Sunday morning but it felt we was forgotten... Even a large group. Who came in after us got thier burgers and fries before my full Scottish. Maybe service breakfast only until 12. So chef isn't having to make burgers etc at 11.15am. I still left a 10% tip As the waitress made a mistake which was retrified and we all Do this so I didn't want her to feel awful. Wait time was the issue. ❤️

The nicest breakfast I've had anywhere, bar none :) Beautifully fresh. Iced tea was delicious and lovely quality fresh coffee. On top of this, spotless surroundings and attentive service. Thank you!
Kerri M — Google review
Dog friendly and there is some gluten free choices from the menu, just ask the staff for details. Always a very busy wee cafe and lots of outdoor seating/ tables for a better day, or if you can brave the cold- get a good homemade soup to heat you up. Highly recommended, as always.
Stuarty B — Google review
This place deserves 6 stars. You feel welcomed as soon as you pass the door. Every staff member is nicer than the other. Food came fast, very good, adorable patio and free Wi-Fi.
Laura F — Google review
A great cafe with lots of tables, some outside. Brilliant service. Today, at the end of July, we ate from the breakfast menu whic has a good selection.
Joe B — Google review
Went with the family for lunch. One of those places where everything was just ok.....not awful, not great. The food was plentiful (loads of chips) and tasty, but not scrumptious. Prices reasonable. Felt the only thing that let it down was the decor, which is just my personal preference. It felt more like a cafe, although advertised outside the front door as a coffee shop. It could have been more cosy. (Door open constantly to the ouside area, where staff were going in and out all the time), which meant we felt cold. We would have hung around longer for another drink & cake after our meal, if it been a cosier environment to sit in.
Sarah P — Google review
Had many special occasion brunches here as the environment is so welcoming and sweet. I love bringing new people here to introduce them to classic Ayr spots! The cafe is right next to a walk along the river for before or after your meal too.

My wife and I Stayed for 3 nights booked bed and breakfast in June 2025 . We dined each night in the Hotel Vista restaurant . The meals were excellent, the staff were really helpful and extremely pleasant. The room was not large but we found it adequate. The location is very convenient both to the town centre and the promenade and beach. We would recommend this hotel to any prospective visitors to Ayr
David R — Google review
Had to stay here in an emergency after our ferry got cancelled to Arran. The rooms leave a lot to be desired, they smell like bleach and are rather cramped. The service was god awful, we were treated like a nuisance for ordering drinks and told the bar closed at 8pm. The staff made us feel totally unwelcome. The only plus is the location makes it easy to leave to other more hospitable bars.
Flora M — Google review
Lovely hotel, good food, caring staff, dog friendly, good room and great parking with an absolutely wonderful view. I was only there two nights but loved it. 👍✨🧘

Stayed with my son for a festival. Fantastic location, great parking and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I would definitely stay again if I come back to the area and highly recommend to anyone 👌

My 91 years old friend ordered a steak pie. She was unhappy with the meat she sent it back ..when the bill arrived she challenged the amount because the steak pie was included..the management refused to amend the amount as they found the meat ok.Having bieng in catering many years .when the meal was sent back management should have asked my friend at the table can we do anything to fix this complaint. Secondly management could have offered a small discount .So for the sake of a discount they have lost future custom .we have used the horizon many years not good customer relation

I had a fabulous meal here and the staff were super helpful and thoughtful in helping me surprise my daughter for lunch. They made my first meeting with my daughter's fiancé and my 4 month old granddaughter a day to remember. Cannot fault anything - the food was superb, the staff brilliant. I will definitely be back.

We were on holiday for my 60th birthday.. We passed this restaurant one evening before my birthday and noticed that there was Domes in the carpark, which were lite up with fairy lights.. My daughter's managed to book a Dome as a surprise for me, for a birthday meal... It was a magical experience that everyone enjoyed from my 10week old grandson (loved the twinkly fairy lights) to my 10 Yr old twin grandsons, to my 82nd Yr old mother 🥰... The food was excellent and such a massive choice of menus including Gluten Free/Vegan and children's menu.. The portion sizes are on the large side (for all menus) We enjoyed our experience so much we booked 2 days later (to eat in the restaurant) for our 39th wedding anniversary meal. Both of our experiences were wonderful and the Staff went above and beyond on both occasions... Every person in my group would highly recommend this venue especially if you are looking for something special (or even just for a meal).. The cost is very reasonable especially for the quality of the meals and the quantity.. If you are in Ayr, I definitely recommend that you give The Fox & Willow a try.. you won't be disappointed ☺️..

Out walking and popped in for an impromptu coffee. Looked lovely and the sun was shining so we decided to have breakfast in one of their outdoor domes . Oh boy it was worth it. Had the shakshuka breakfast eggs and it was sublime. Lovely attentive and friendly girls which always helps. Cannot fault this is any way. 10/10. Thank you.

Really beautiful setup with the dome dining options. All staff were super helpful and accommodating when we recently visited to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. Great menu with lots of imaginative vegan options, including multiple dessert options too which is much appreciated.
Sophie — Google review
Food and service was good as usual, although the person was with wasn't as keen on their meal, sauce was too creamy and rich which stopped her from finishing it. Menu wasn't as eye catching as it can be. Some menus you struggle with choosing, other times I feel like I'm stuck with only a couple of options I fancy. Obviously that is just down to personal tastes though and the fact I'm usually there for a lunch so not wanting steaks and stuff then.
Steven W — Google review
We came here for my Dad's surprise birthday and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was amazing and they moved us to one of the pods which are so pretty. They sorted our birthday cake for us and helped with the surprise and honestly helped make the night so lovely, really grateful x

Chef Martin Ward's creations add an elegant twist to classic comfort food, offering options like ultimate nachos with unique toppings and a variety of pizzas, burgers, steaks, as well as vegan and vegetarian choices.
Great value and huge outdoor beer garden with large kids area: swings and obstacle course. We found this gem a few weeks ago and have been back twice since, once for their special: steak and a bottle of wine for 2 (for £40), and once on a sunny day to sit in the beer garden with chips and beer while the kids played. We love it here and will be back.
Kirsten — Google review
Nice food and bargains for what we had. Thursday steak night is definitely one of the best nights to dine at the restaurant, a 16oz mouth watering T-bone for less than £20, no one should miss it. We will be back there again every time we visit Ayr.
Wei W — Google review
Looking forward to visit, disappointed. We had problems with drinks, bought a drink we did not order, then they added it to the bill. Service slow, food would have been warmer.
Jim S — Google review
Came here for the Valentine's Day special menu with my partner - 5 courses and a glass of prosecco for £27.95 per person, which in the current climate I thought was incredible value. Each course was fantastic and it was the best service I've experienced for a long time. It really felt like a special occasion with high quality foods and the staff had really gone out their way to create a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. We also had the Valentine's cocktails which were a nice touch too. A really wonderful evening, and I am so glad we chose to dine at our local.
K ( — Google review
The food and atmosphere is amazing, the burger Wednesday deal is always a must. Shout out to the chef Martin for whipping up a fantastic meal, the sticky beef appetizer was great along with the lamb. Prices are very competitive for the quality and beautiful views of the scenic garden. Staff are very accommodating especially with our constant questions and amazing service with speedy service.
Phaven D — Google review
We recently held our ‘happily ever after’ party at Balgarth following our elopement, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff were so welcoming the morning we arrived to set up — a lovely man and woman helped us move tables multiple times without complaint (I can be quite fussy!), and nothing was too much trouble. On the night of the party, the staff member working (I believe her name was Kristen or Kirsten) was so polite, professional and friendly. We even saw her again the next morning while collecting our decorations, and she was just as lovely. Martin, the owner, truly went above and beyond. He offered us drinks while setting up, and when we ended up staying longer than planned, he surprised us with complimentary Prosecco. He also made scrambled eggs for my friend’s young son — again, completely free — and took time to interact with him, which meant a lot. The next morning, after checking in to see how everything went, he even covered our breakfast in the beer garden, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The buffet was fantastic — we had so many compliments from guests and it was very reasonably priced for the quality and amount of food. The garden area was spotless and such a lovely space to enjoy the sun until 9pm. We also loved the idea of offering our guests a drink on arrival using tokens, which allowed them to choose their preferred drink — a brilliant suggestion from the staff! We genuinely couldn't have asked for a better venue or team. Everything was seamless, warm, and incredibly well looked after. Thank you so much to Martin and all the team at Balgarth for making our celebration so special.
Kerri W — Google review
This is the closest restaurant to me and so handy for travel etc. It's never quite perfect in regards of food and sometimes service, however over the last 2 occasions the food has been a let down. My biggest criticism is the insistence of management to have a large screen TV playing the daily news over and over..A few days ago whilst eating dinner,we were bombarded with images of Gaza being bombed, death and destruction in Ukraine and civil unrest in England. All you could hear ( whilst trying to enjoy dinner was people saying " oh look 56 dead today , including women and children" when I asked management if we had to listen to this and see the images whilst eating dinner, the reply was " I know but it's one of the only

Ayr Beach is a picturesque and family-friendly destination that has been attracting visitors since the Victorian era. The sandy beach offers opportunities for water recreation, fishing, and leisurely strolls. On the seafront park side of the road, there's a large children's play area with a pirate ship climbing frame and a putting green for crazy golf. Additionally, the beach features stunning white sands and various activities such as crazy golf nearby.
Very nice beach, good play park for the kids although it gets a little busy. Can walk along the promenade up to the pier which offers great views along the coast down towards Greenan Castle.

Nic place discovered while I was on my short holiday. Amazing views, you can walk far in to the sea, as water is shallow. Nice playground for kids and places with delicious ice creams.

Had a lovely day at Ayr Beach! The weather was perfect — clear skies and a really lively atmosphere. Great place for a walk along the shore, and we grabbed a chippy nearby which was the perfect touch. Can’t beat it on a sunny day!
Nicole Q — Google review
Such a shame that the beach is full of litter. Unsanitary sand, too many flies due to all the rubbish around and it attracts too many seagulls because of the leftover food disposed of anywhere. No bins in sight, so no wonder the lack of care. The beach has great potential. Warm water. Impressive to see giant jellyfish. Unfortunately it doesn’t make me want to go back.

Ayr Beach in Ayr is a wonderful spot for a relaxing day out. The long, sandy stretch is clean and scenic, ideal for family picnics, walking along the promenade, or simply enjoying the fresh sea air. With free parking, onsite restaurants, and facilities that are wheelchair accessible, it’s a convenient and inclusive choice for all visitors. Water recreation, boating, and fishing options make it an active, enjoyable destination. The nearby entertainment center adds extra value, making it perfect for both leisurely strolls and fun-filled outings. I highly recommend Ayr Beach for anyone looking for a family-friendly place to unwind by the sea.

Murray's Cafe is a charming spot in Prestwick, offering a delightful breakfast featuring smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with crusty toasted bread. The welcoming staff and diverse menu, including an array of soups and home-baked goods, make it perfect for various gatherings. Visitors praise the friendly service and value for money at this quaint cafe. Additionally, Murray's is known for its pet-friendly policy and old-fashioned tea room ambiance with homemade cakes served on real china.
Whilst not necessarily 5 star on food, this place is hands down the best service I’ve received. I have a 3 year old who was being a pain and Bernadette went out of her way to make him smile, organise him a little milkshake, eggs and cookie and have conversation. She also ensured my meal was exactly as I wanted. The nicest people around. We had eggs and toast, coffee, tea (it would be better if it was leaves). Food is old school but definitely big serves ;) thanks so much

This is another great find. A small, busy café in Prestwick. Genuinely dog friendly. Pets get a treat and water. The food is fresh, generous portions and arrives without a long wait. The staff give everyone a warm welcome. I had a chicken & rice soup, with a cheese & chutney sandwich. The brown bread was thickly sliced and none of the thin, soft stuff you get in other, less favourable, eateries. Hearty food, done well and served with a smile. I'll be back. >Visited again a few days later. Food and welcome just as good. 5 stars all the way!<

The Travelodge Ayr is a great place to stay in Ayr. It offers a range of different rooms, perfect for all types of guests. The hotel is very clean and handy for getting into town. The food near by is also good, so make sure you go on bookings!
Stayed at Ayr Travelodge very nice lovely room and reception very helpful. Left a personal item in room contacted hotel manager arranged for the item to be returned to me I received and cannot thank the Hotel enough for doing this
Elizabeth M — Google review
The rooms are outdated, tired and not up to modern standards, I understand they're cheap but many hotels with the same price now are much more modern. Hairdryer didn't work, no iron in the room. Location is very good, it's got excellent transport links connected by motorways, A roads, rail links and airport. Staff are also friendly here.

Firstly Frazer on Reception was wonderfully supportive to me and my Mum. Accessible room shower room first rate. Single bed low and Not wide which wasn't great for Mum's use. Room was clean sheets were fresh. Again Frazer made it an excellent stay. Gro next door great for breakfast and all staff smiled which always sets me up for the day

Nice hotel good value for money stayed here for a night to attend a wedding at the weekend friendly and helpful staff, I'd have given a 5 star but the lack of plugs in the room wasn't so good.
Kyle W — Google review
I am 57 yo. There has been WiFi service for 20 years. During that time have spent the night in a 100 hotels. This is the first time I have been charged a fee apart for using the hotel WiFi service (£3.5 per one night) Let's also mention the £2.5 for booking by telephone with an ( cyborgish grim young voice) agent, when there is no other way to book a room. Ah, and not to forget: the booking call is also charged at 13pp ( +vat) per minute, I mean apart the agent's fee. Dystopian times. They' ll pass sooner than later.
David A — Google review
Firstly this was my mistake by booking the wrong date, however within 5 mins of booking i phoned to try and correct my mistake, keep the 4 rooms id book but for the next day. My complaint comes from the inability and unwillingness to help or change my booking to 24hours later, not an insurmountable task one would think ! And of course after being given 2 different numbers to phone as the hotel reception couldnt help, then had to online chat................just ridiculous. of course no change was possible and no refund or partial refund of the nearly £300. what ever happened to good old fashioned service! costly mistake on my part, lesson learned not to book Travel lodge in the future!!
Russell L — Google review
Hotel was very basic ,worst travel lodge we have stayed in ,toilet very low down Jammed between sink&wall ,television was the smallest that there is could wait to go onto our next hotel next day !!
Kathy K — Google review
After making our way to the room. There was no soap in the bathroom, we had to go to reception and ask for soap. The was dirty marks on the single bed, but that wasn't an issue as we weren't using the single bed. Our sleep wasn't a good one at room 108. The mattress at the left and right side is raised and the middle of the mattress has a dent. It was like rolling down a ditch trying to sleep. The room was really cold even with the heater on and the noise from the outside road was loud. We put the heater on, and had to turn it off as it made a squealing noise at night keeping us awake. The window is broken, it was like sleeping with an open window. It was drafty, and the window didn't touch the rubber seal resulting in cold air coming into the room and lots of noise. Our tea and milk was topped up, but the bed wasn't made. The bath, I'm only 5'7 and couldn't sit in it. It's so small it would be good for a child but not an adult. The second night had noisy customers who were shouting down the corridors outside our room door. At night the disabled bays were full of customers with no blue badges meaning I couldn't park in the disabled bays. Not a great experience. I would think twice before booking again.

One of the standout aspects of Blackburn Villa B&B is its exceptional service provided by Karen, who goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home.
10 out of 10. Beautiful quiet street close to the beach. The beach is dog friendly and only a stone’s throw away from the villa. Everything is clean and tidy and the breakfast selection and quality is fantastic. Breakfast is made to order. Would definitely stay here again when we come to Ayr.
Kristina B — Google review
What a fantastic B&B! Can not believe how lucky I got to get a room here. Karen is a very friendly and welcoming host. The breakfast is superb! Poached eggs were cooked to perfection both mornings. Everything on the plate was delicious! The room was huge, with a big comfy bed, plenty of storage, a couch, tea and coffee facilities, choice of cafetiere or instant coffee and fresh milk available with use of a small fridge in the corridor. I had an external bathroom, which was also huge, with free shampoo and shower gel, a good powerful shower, and a bath separate. There were dressing gowns, iron and board, and hairdryer in the room. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach, perfect for the do I was attending on the low green. It's probably about a half-hour walk from the train station. I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could.

We have just had a lovely stay in this fab B&B, close to the sea and not far from town, there is plenty of parking onsite and in the surrounding streets. We had a lovely ensuite room with a King sized bed, the room provides everything you need with a large variety of choice on the tea/coffee tray, filtered water and shortbread etc, all of which were restocked daily. Fresh milk was available in the fridge. The room also provides complimentary toiletries with a draw of 'extras' in case something has been forgotten. An iron, ironing board and hairdryer are also provided in the room. The owner, Karen, is very pleasant and extremely helpful, her premises are spotlessly clean and our every need was met during our stay. Karen also provided us with lovely freshly cooked breakfasts of our choice. We highly recommend this B&B and hope to return very soon.

Superb place to stay for the night for a wedding in Ayr. Very comfortable and spacious double room with excellent breakfast. Karen was the perfect host and everything you could possibly need for your stay was available. Highly recommend this B&B.

Fabulous place! Karen was a wonderfully friendly host. Breakfast was amazing. We were in the area viewing a property to buy in a nearby town and wanted to stay in Ayr to get a feel for the wider area. The warm welcome definitely helped that. Great location too! We will be back 😊

me and my husband are just back from a wonderful weekend break. I want to go back already. From the moment we got there to the moment we left we were treated like family. we stayed in the family room. everything was pristine and bed super comfy. I felt very refreshed after my stay. we had breakfast on both days and nothing was too much bother for the wonderful lady that is Karen. she couldn't have been more acomodating if she tried there but not in your face. she was attentive kind warm and friendly. The bathroom was amazing with a extra large bath. I think her hotel is top notch. from the rooms to the location to host to the most friendly wee cats the food everything was fabulous. we will be back as soon as we possibly can. I highly recommend this little hidden gem to anyone visiting Ayr. see you soon Karen. love from Becky & James xx

Booked this place to stay on tues night and what a wonderful experience it was. Karen the host was very welcoming we felt at home right away. The room was spotless very big and every detail was catered for. The breakfast was second to none cooked fresh at the time scheduled and a great great selection. Karen the host was really obliging just a call away if needed and willing to help in any way she could. Overall a lovely stay in a nice area of Ayr just wished we had spent more time there hopefully we will be back soon.

Lovely accomodating host, great breakfast. Really good idea being able to select breakfast on an online form the night before. Karen kept our room topped up with fresh water, glasses, cups and yummy shortbread. Fresh jug of milk in the hall outside of the room each day. Bin emptied each day and the room was always nice and fresh. Spacious ensuite bathroom with lovely toiletries to use. Really appreciated the lovely garden and loved her cats.. gorgeous! Thanks again to Karen! ☺️

Has a bit of a nightmare with this place: - I arrived around 7:45pm. There was no one around at all, and it took more than 15 minutes before someone appeared. - They slowly got me a key for a room. - They then requested cash for the room. I didn't have time to check the reservation, but couldn't remember if I had paid already. I told them I would sort them out for payment in the morning (later, I checked my booking and realised I had already paid) - When I went to the room, the key didn't work in the lock. - It took another 10 minutes to again get someone's attention. - They took their time getting another key, which also didn't work. - They had no spare rooms, so opened up a cleaning room which had a (fold up) single bed. It wasn't comfortable, but I had little option but to accept it. I did not have a good night's sleep. - They did not provide me with a towel, and I've no idea how long the bedding had been on the bed. - The general condition of the room, bathroom and toilet were bad and quite dirty. - There was no toilet roll in the toilet Please avoid

I booked a room for work between 14-16 May through a website called Priceline and the system sent me an email to confirm. I booked a room a week in advance but when I checked in on the evening of the 14th the owner of the guesthouse said there was no room for me. I tried to contact Priceline from the UK but the system just sent me the office number in Chicago and some numbers that were not in the system. 😭

Recently stayed here she has let the place go down. Was dirty, sink plug wouldn’t come out Holes in the wall and plugs everywhere that didn’t look save. Needs a good clean and and over haul. This used to be a nice b&b never stay here again

Well were do i start...And before you read this yes there is a police report to prove it. We booked through hotel.com no problem. On arrival we rang door bell no response, tried again then. We heard a females voice in distance i walked through corride to be met with a very intoxicated woman, told her we were her to check in to be told she hasnt a room its not cleaned, asked when room would be clean she said not today. Lady said lets think took us a walk through her own house to a small space which only had a single bed in it she said its all i have and left. I went to look for her to find her in bed. Hotel .com were very good and found us new place to stay. I called the police as we had concerns for her safety as she had bruising to her face and was so intoxicated shouldnt be in charge of a guest house . Police arrived and spoke with her they contacted her husband to come and take charge of the building. We left and spoke with 2 guests who i said my concerns too. They spoke to police told them i was the drunk person they followed me breathleased me to get zero reading.. Please avoid this please I have pictures and police incedent number to prove this

I've stayed a good few times here, so I know what to expect... I have used this property as a stopoff on my return from Motorcycle Rallies and it's never let me down... The accommodation is perfect for me and it is very reasonably priced... I understand others have criticized aspects of the Guest House but I do think generally it's terrific value... Okay, it's not the Ritz but You aren't paying the price that the Ritz would charge... The breakfast in particular is excellent value, the full breakfast is outstanding and the 2 Girls in the Kitchen are both very personable and I certainly found myself having a good rapport with them... Shared bathroom isn't on anyone's wish list but I've never found it a problem at this property and although it could do updating, it is perfectly functional and spacious. The rooms have most of what You would want and overall, it's a great place to get refreshed and rest up for Your onward journey... Looking forward to my next stay already...

My aunt and uncle stayed here for 3 nights at the end of June. Unfortunately their stay wasn't very pleasant. The positives were that the staff were nice as were the breakfasts which were served fresh and hot each morning. However that's as far as the positives go I'm afraid. They had to come to my mums each morning to wash as there was no hot water their entire stay. The bedroom was cold and bedding of poor quality and very thin so that didn't help. The property is in dire need of updating and renovating. Unfortunately they won't be staying again and wouldn't recommend this guest house. Given 2 stars for the breakfast and staff.
Z T — Google review
The male owner of this bed and breakfast was completely rude to me due to me ringing the doorbell a couple times because nobody was answering the door, with the current weather conditions in Ayr at the time also with heavy rain and high winds, I couldn't hear if the doorbell was ringing or not which is why I tried a couple times. Instead of coming to the door and taking my request he told me to leave the place instead and didn't want any conversation with me at all. Very aggressive behaviour towards me and to be honest, absolutely disgraceful workmanship and not professional at all. I would never recommend anyone to stay here if this is the manner of which he treats his customers. I would give a zero star rating but I have to put 1 instead.

Belleisle Park, located about 1.5 miles south of the city center, offers a variety of outdoor activities and attractions for visitors to enjoy. The park features expansive grounds with gardens, nature paths, and two popular 18-hole golf courses. Additionally, visitors can explore the Belleisle Conservatory, a glass-walled structure showcasing blooming plants year-round.
Just love this place, which holds very special memories while growing up, I used to go with my mum and then go with my children, and it was so very sad to see it run down and neglected. I went yesterday, and I was so happy to see it returning to its former glory! The conservatory returned to its beautiful self, with some amazing ladies keeping it in tip-top condition! Places like this MUST be supported by any means possible, poo in and buy a plant or some amazing honey 🍯 made by the amazing 🐝 🐝 and help support a great cause and this will help to keep memories going for years to come. Added bonus of a beautiful golf ⛳️ course, cafe, toilets, and amazing walks. Well done to everyone involved 👏

Beautiful, diverse, peaceful party of Ayr. The deer park was lovely, the allotments great and the conservatory interesting. There was plenty more to see but didn't have time to get around it all. Stunning ancient trees were my favourite.
Wander W — Google review
Such a nice place to visit. The walled gardens near the conservatory are really nice. The kids loved the playground as it has lots of play equipment for all ages. It can be found just to the side of the walled garden.
Alister S — Google review
Brilliant play park, enough to entertain both younger kids (swings / small trampoline, smaller slides / sensory area) and older kids (climbing frames / big slides / zip line). Lovely greenhouse and walled garden next door, and cafe with toilets nearby as well. Big huge grassy lawn great for football or a run around too.

Very nice place for kids to visit. Play the area. My kids loved jukebox, restaurant, and deer park nearby. I got confused via car navigation as it takes to golf course, which is just beside Belleisle Park, the parking is at the same place/connected.
Abdul H — Google review
Beautiful gardens and conservatory. Peaceful walks. So sad to see the Belleisle mansion reduced quite literally to a shell of its former self.
Jacqueline W — Google review
Family oriented. Very clean. Nice walkways/ paths with beautiful scenery such as the biodiversity of kingfisher birds etc
S O — Google review
Beautiful Park - very well kept gardens and vintage greenhouse . Good for dog walks and children with the play park. Just need to be careful of the golfers. Only thing that is a shame is the old house was set on fire same as the station hotel. Ayr is losing its history and heritage due to as far as I can see, the poor management of the council. Still a lovely spot though.

Very nice and quiet, friendly welcome. Only stopped for one night, but it was a good experience. Bed was comfy, and the room was clean. Shared bathroom with was also clean. A good choice for breakfast, cooked or cereal, or both. Would definitely stop again.

Arrived on Saturday teatime from the Troon ferry terminal after a couple of nights on the Isle of Arran. The proprietor met us on arrival to give us the key and explain the breakfast times. The room was nice but difficult to negotiate on the two flights of winding stairs. It was quiet and very clean. We enjoyed the stay and it is near the town centre. Would recommend to other travellers if you are able bodied.

Very poor accommodation! I'm not one for posting negative reviews but I feel I have to say this is the worst guest house we've ever stayed at in Ayr and we visit this area a lot, it just isn't to the standards it should be. The rooms are very dated and the cleaning standards aren't great at all, unclean carpets and the toilet had not been cleaned properly either. The top floor is very noisy due to a shared bathroom for 2 of the 3 rooms. The breakfast room was an extremely cluttered area, not pleasant to eat in at all. The breakfast was okay, no real choice though. Sad to say, we just could not wait to check out.
