It's the time the Swiss let their hair down in complete abandon. Fun time. Not only the residents of Zurich but even residents of neighbouring towns were on the streets. Great floats good music and absolute and crazy fun

Highly recommended, no matter your age! You can dress however you like and just swim and party. It's truly unique and worth a visit, especially to see the floats. (Original) Jedes Jahr super! Festival
Zürich Openair is a fantastic open-air festival with a great atmosphere and well-organized setup. It takes place next to Zurich airport, offering excellent transport connections. The festival features big-name acts on a huge stage, providing an incredible experience for attendees. While the food and drinks are somewhat pricey, it's expected for a festival in Zurich. The event is highly recommended for its good organization and amazing atmosphere. Additionally, the VIP experience is definitely worth it.
I went to OpenAir Zurich and really enjoyed it! The venue was well laid out with lots of food and drink options, good seating areas, and a great performance stage. The atmosphere was lively, and the lineup was fantastic!
Esomchi A — Google review
This festival could be so so good, but instead they choose to mistreat their international attendees. We weren't allowed to enter with a banana and a backpack. It's not stated in the festival info that we couldn't take food, only drinks are not allowed. Regarding the backpack, it's stated on the festival rules that it needs to be A4 size. They were right in not allowing. The problem is... we saw people with the same exact backpack. I would like to guess what is the double standard here. It's clear why the festival is not full. Almost zero experiences. Since we don't live in Switzerland and are only visiting we can't participate in any of the experiences, because main brands such as Samsung told us is for CH residents only. Definitely not recommend this festival to anyone.

Festival
The Zurich Film Festival is a must-visit event that has been showcasing top-quality movies for nearly 20 years. With a diverse selection of around 10-20 films each year, the festival covers pressing issues while also providing entertainment and artistic value. Attendees have praised the fabulous experience and great movie lineup, with special mention of the wonderful thought-provoking Korean-themed films "In Camera" and "Dream Scenario.
Thanks for such amazing film festival in centre of Zurich. Very atmospheric!
Uliana F — Google review
Fabulous experience! Great movies! Loved the Korean theme for 2023! “In Camera” and “Dream Scenario” are wonderful thought provoking movies! Glad I was able to watch them! Can’t wait for next year!
Saira B — Google review
This festival has been putting out quality movies for almost two decades. Most years I‘ve seen between 10-20 of them. There‘s good mix between pressing issues, art and entertainment. Letting malfunctioning ticket systems diminish all that does not make sense.

(Translated by Google) 10/10 I recommend it to every film fan and festival freak who isn't afraid of waiting, rain and loss if you don't get an autograph. I sat in the rain for 6 hours for Kate Winslet but it was worth it! On the Sechseläuten at Bellevue there is the green carpet, all the celebrities walk through there, if you get there 6 hours early like me, for example, you have a great place at the front, there aren't too many people, the films are in all the cinemas like Corso, Kongresshaus and the one at Sihlcity are always good, especially when the celebrities are there at the films, I will go every year from now on because I don't think I've ever gotten an autograph and selfie so well!

Aquarium
Located in Zurich, Switzerland, Zoo Zürich is a renowned animal conservation facility that has been welcoming visitors since 1929. The zoo boasts an impressive collection of over 370 animal species living in carefully designed habitats. From the Lewa Savana to the Masoala Rainforest and the Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park, visitors can explore diverse natural environments and observe animals living as close to their natural habitats as possible.
This was one of the best zoos I've seen in Europe. They have a wide variety of animals, including baby snow leopards. Very cool! They also had penguins. The place also had plenty of places to eat and relax, as well as many bathrooms. Definitely recommend.
Michael D — Google review
This was a really great experience! We were lucky to come on such a sunny day. They were doing some renovations which was a bit disappointing, but it was still fun. There's a couple steep metal slides for kids, an aquarium, a farmhouse, and much more!
Mia B — Google review
Really impressed by the Zurich zoo. It's a very large space with panoramic views, plenty of amenities and carefully designed enclosures for the animals that give them plenty of space to explore and hide. The rainforest dome with its tree canopy walk is a highlight, as are the snow leopards. The leopardess had three cubs in spring 2025, and watching them play was absolutely delightful. The zoo has a great balance of large animals (lions, giraffes, llamas, kangaroos,....) and small animals (fish, insects, tree frogs), all sensitively housed and explained. You could easily spend a whole day there. The setting is hilly, so it does take some stamina to walk through. It's only 15 minutes by tram from central Zurich. A great choice for a tourist on a Monday when the museums are closed.
James G — Google review
The zoo itself it's very user friendly, it has food stands on the paths, the food is very expensive though. Some of the animals look depressed, specially the elephants. Other than that, it's a beautiful experience, walking outdoors and enjoying the company of your family or your special ones
Diana L — Google review
It was a huge zoo with lots of cool stuff. Loved that the animals had sprawling enclosures. But many of the animals were nowhere to be found, with no explanation or signage. We'd walk a mile+ with the kids to see the lions or gorillas and discover they're not there that day?? It was also incredibly crowded. We went on a random Wednesday day in August and the line to buy tickets for anyone who hadn't bought online was very long.
Shell — Google review
Nice place, you can tell they take well care of the animals, it was also clean and had many WC on the way. It is a big area to cover, better go with time (3-4 hrs if with children). It has many places to buy snacks and some restaurants with playground too. Service is very friendly. You can download the App and have a realtime map. We will sure visit again.
Sabrina M — Google review
Love this zoo! Great place to visit if you happen to stop in Zurich! The animals habitats are so cute and it really looks like they take care of the place and animals! Tickets are not a bad price and the food court is great. The goat bridge was our favorite place!
Alejandra D — Google review
Really enjoyed our trip to the zoo, a great day out for adults and children. Lots of great animals, we saw the snow leopards and the three cubs, tigers, elephants, rhinos, giraffes etc. Kids zoo was a lot of fun, you can climb in to a lot of the enclosures and pet the animals if they come over to you. Lots of the animals have some of the best enclosures we have seen in comparison to other zoos. Toilets were very clean and there were lots available. Even when our child was stung by a wasp, someone was available to help quickly which was really appreciated. Food was OK, some places didn't have great options but others did. Gift shop was nice, didn't feel over priced depending on what you were wanting. Would recommend booking online to avoid waiting in the queue for tickets if you have young children.

Mountains
Uetliberg, often referred to as Zurich's local mountain, is a small but beloved peak offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city, Lake Zurich, and even the Alps on clear days. Accessible by a short tram ride from the main train station followed by a brief walk, this mountain is popular year-round. Visitors can enjoy family-friendly hikes, picnics in summer, and toboggan runs in winter.
Wonderful nature experience. Many beautiful streets. Very good walking paths. Beautiful views.

Uetliberg offers a panoramic view of the entire city of Zurich. The mountain is beautifully surrounded by nature, providing a serene and relaxing atmosphere. It is an ideal spot for sightseeing and enjoying the natural landscape.

Beautiful view of Zurich and surrounding area. Only a little over hour hike from the bottom to the top. Highly recommend
Lejmanowski — Google review
On the one day I had to visit Uetliberg, the trains were closed. There were replacement busses. It was still very convenient to get there, and then get back to the city centre when I was done. The views are breathtaking. Make it a priority to budget some time to visit Uetliberg when in Zurich.
Bryan S — Google review
We had a fantastic time here! Getting to this beautiful location is a breeze, with buses and trains stopping right there. The hiking trails are easy to navigate, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. On a clear day, you get a full panoramic vista of Lake Zürich and the majestic Alps. The whole area is wonderfully clean, which really makes the experience even better. At the summit, you can take a well-deserved break and enjoy the view. You can bring your own food or buy something from the food stand or the 'Top of Zürich' restaurant. For an unforgettable perspective, be sure to pay the small fee to climb the view tower—it's worth it! A friendly tip: remember to have some coins handy for the public restrooms!!!
Marialena M — Google review
If you’re in Zürich, Uetliberg is a must. Take the S10 commuter train from Zürich HB - it stops at Triemli if you want to start a longer hike, or you can ride it all the way up to Uetliberg station. From there it’s a short uphill walk; you should be reasonably surefooted, but it’s not too difficult. At the top you’re rewarded with a perfect panorama of the city, the lake (Zürisee), and on clear days even the Alps.
EzADivat — Google review
This is a must if you are visiting Zurich, it provides great views of the city. You can hike up to the summit or take public transport. As my son can't walk far we chose public transport. Normally you can get the train but it's not currently running although there was a replacement bus service. The bus dropped us about ten mins from the top and we walked the final section. At the top there's plenty to do, a food truck and a restaurant up there. You can also head up the tower for an even better view, it costs 2 swiss francs payable by card at the gate. One thing you need to do is make sure the transaction goes through before someone comes down or you could be charged without going through.

Schützenhaus Albisgütli is a charming country-style restaurant located at the end of a tram line in Zurich. The restaurant offers a blend of traditional and contemporary Swiss dishes, with options for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The warm and inviting ambiance features a cozy fireplace, high ceilings, and classic Swiss Gasthaus architecture. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the city from their tables.
Came here for the second time for coffee/dessert. They have the best chocolate brownie!! There is a separate area for coffee/drinks with a fireplace. Service was great.

The location is great, we just had drinks outside. The service was pretty poor, one guy ignored us, even after asking, eventually realised it wasn't his section, and our waiter had been away for while. When he did turn up, he was great.

Indoor space and decoration are so pretty. The outdoor sitting area is perfect for families with 2 parks for kids. There's even a dedicated place for dogs. We came for the buffet but ended up picking something from the menu as the buffet didn't catch my attention.
Silvia A — Google review
We end up there as tunderstorms didnt help us to leave the Tram near the Bahnhof...we continue till the end of its route and decided to try this Restaurant-it was absolutely lovely, good selection of food and desserts...great service and pleasant atmosphere.
Kas — Google review
Been there for lunch (past renovation). Staff was friendly, but the service certainly has margins for improvement: it was generally a bit slow (we were there after 12.30, which is typical rush hours during business days and the venue was only half full) and there was some lack of attention to details (we had to ask for bread and the portion they served was very tiny for a party of 3 people). One of the two prosecco we ordered was not bubbly and probably came from a bottle that had been open for too long. Food was ok but nothing special. Taken into account the medium / high price range, I was definitely expecting a more rewarding experience.

Outdoor movie theater
Movie theater
Allianz Cinema Zurich is a popular open-air theater located by the lake, offering a unique experience of watching newly released films while surrounded by nature and water. The gigantic screen is built right on the shore, providing an incredible backdrop of Lake Zurich. Tickets are in high demand and it's recommended to book in advance. The seating is first come, first served, so arriving early ensures better seats.
Allianz Outdoor on the water cinema in Zurich is a must-visit! I was blown away by the sound and the size of the screen, perfectly situated above the water with the sunset in the background as the movie was starting. By the time the movie was about 20 minutes in, it was dark, creating an incredible atmosphere. We arrived an hour and a half early to walk next to the lake, explore the parks, and sit down for a few drinks in the high covered pavilion overlooking the lake. We watched "The Bikeriders," and it was an unforgettable experience. Just a tip: make sure you arrive early and bring a pen to claim your preferred seats, or you might be sitting up high with the seagulls!

Really loved it! Everything was great inside, and the idea of placing a screen by the lake is just brilliant. It felt so romantic🫶🏻the sound of the water, twinkling lights in the distance, and stars overhead. Total romantic vibes 🥰 (weather permitting 😅🤞). Just a heads-up: it’s a good idea to bring something warm, since the temperature can drop quite a bit at night. Overall, the atmosphere was amazing and the service was excellent! 👍🙌
Ellie — Google review
Fantastic experience. We didn’t reserve any seats but even sitting at the front gives you a perfect view as well. For the rain they give you a water proof covering anyways so it was surreal watching a movie as the weather changed throughout the night!
Saira B — Google review
Beautiful location, great concept and free ice cream! But it’s quite tight so when you walk past someone they have to stand up, no drinks holders and no popcorn?? Very Unique but Not the most comfortable cinema experience :( Make sure you book the very early tickets because most seats are already reserved when you get there
Vincent H — Google review
Amazing concept. I love to be outdoors and watch the movie, see the lake behind the screen. The way they set up the screen is so cool also!
Natalia B — Google review
This cinema on the lake is one of my favorite destinations for a night out in the summer. I love sitting by the water watching movies under the stars, with a great sound system and fantastic food. I love the experience of having dinner and drinks before with friends and family before we watch a film in this beautiful outdoor cinema.

Best customer service, very helpful people! Those of you who complain about it raining, lol what did y’all expect? It’s an open air cinema!! It’s a risk you have to take, if you’re so afraid don’t even bother, leave the tickets for the ones who can appreciate it. 🫶🏽

If you're looking for an unforgettable summer experience, look no further than the Caliente! Latin Music Festival in Zurich. This vibrant celebration of Latin-American music and culture transforms the city into a lively fiesta filled with pulsating rhythms of salsa, reggae, and reggaeton. Attendees can indulge in delicious Latin cuisine from various food trucks while sipping on exotic cocktails that perfectly complement the festive atmosphere.
Better than I expected, great food and music! They were several latin-american food trucks, I managed to bring frozen food to home so I could taste longer those delicious flavors 🤤 As any festival, bring comfortable shoes because you'd dance all night long.
Cindy G — Google review
Once upon the Time, this was one of the great festivals of Zürich. With good music, great ambiente and amazing food. Yesterday we went there and what a disappointment, horrible music blasting from 5 different directions, terrible food choices, and a 12 chf entrance fee that we couldn’t believe is real.. the organizers have lost touch with reality.
Florian G — Google review
Bad value for money. You pay 30chf while a few years ago it was for free and they are not even able to out a tent over one single dance floor nor over a sitting area to be able to eat in peace protected from the rain. I wouldn’t go anymore.
Beatrice F — Google review
They charge this much because they can. It should be free as it was before covid. Also no consideration if the weather is really bad (it's an open air festival). They won't give your money back and won't allow to reschedule it for another day. Just really bad organization overall.

Service excellent and very attentive from the moment we walked in. If you like steak you are at the right place. It’s all cooked on the stone. We had the Swiss Sirloin which was very tender Recommended
Bruce M — Google review
Like many other reviews of this place - great steak, poor service. We arrived towards the closing of this restaurant around 10:45pm but were welcomed in after the waiter checked the time. This changed quickly however when we ordered - the staff hurried us out the restaurant by packing up every single table around us, moving our items off of an adjacent table to close up, and even asking to give us our bill rather than the other way round. Did not feel like well looked-after customers when many other bars and restaurants in the same street were full of patrons at this time and not rushing them at all. The steak and quality of food was brilliant, but the service needs a lot of improvement else would not return again.
Ruby B — Google review
We visited Steak House Old Town without ordering any beef, and overall, the experience was just average. Chicken Breast: Unfortunately, this was a letdown. It was quite dry and tough to chew, lacking the tenderness you'd expect. Grilled Salmon: Decent, but nothing memorable. It was cooked fine, though not particularly flavorful. Duck: Also just okay. It didn’t stand out, but it wasn’t bad either. Sides: The sides were the highlight of the meal. The potato with sour cream was excellent—creamy and well-seasoned. The spinach was fresh and tasty, and the fried sweet potato was crispy and satisfying. Soup: We tried the coconut soup. It was rich and creamy, but the coconut flavor was overpowering, making it a bit too intense for our taste. Service was fine, and the ambiance was cozy, but based on the dishes we tried, we wouldn’t rush back. Perhaps the beef options are better, given it's a steakhouse.

Super good steak for a reasonable price - meat was soft and juicy. Meat was served on a hot plate, so every bite was fresh and hot! Staff was super nice and friendly, made us feel very welcomed :)

Best steak I've ever had! While walking along the street In Zurich to find somewhere for dinner we happened upon this restaurant where we could smell the mouthwatering steak before seeing it. A quaint little restaurant with a lovely outside seating area where you cook your steak on a hot stone.. having been on a train all day from Vienna we were ravenous so decided to go for the Tomahawk for 2 and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The most amazing juicy steak we have ever had!!! And even though the steak by itself was more than enough for 2 people.. the complimentary sides of veg and rosemary potatoes were incredible! Even though the food was sensational the service outshone it, never once did our glasses get slightly empty and the staff were incredible and so helpful with any questions asked about Zurich in general! Could not recommend this place more! Definitely worth a visit!!

Museums
The Kunsthaus Zürich is a renowned art museum in Europe, managed by the Zurich Society of Arts and with roots tracing back to 1787. It boasts extensive collections from various artists, including a significant number of Charles Munch's paintings and the most important assortment of Monet's works outside Paris. The museum focuses on showcasing high-quality works by artists across different periods, with particular strength in Impressionist, post-Impressionist, and modern art.
We visited during Zurich Art Weekend and it was fantastic! So many great 🖼️ and also few interactive displays. Its great that they label the art - stolen / not stolen. We easily spent there 3 hours! Its worth getting ticket to all exhibitions when you have time. You will enjoy all the Picasso’s and other great paintings.
Pavel B — Google review
An incredible museum, with access to two two-floor buildings filled with masterpieces. We explored the main museum first and got to see so many wonderful paintings from artists like Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, Picasso and so many others, but I saw that they had the second largest Munch collection and when I asked they told me it's in the second building. Went through the underground tunnel and there he was on the second floor. I was left speechless and spent hours and hours going through all the wonderful rooms. Would definitely visit again!
Leni A — Google review
Cultural jewel in the heart of Zurich - Kunsthaus truly impressed. We didn't expect to discover such a remarkable collection of great masters - Rembrandt, Dutch classics, Monet, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Chagall, Modigliani... an entire constellation of art legends. One of the highlights was a striking passage hall showcasing works by the famous Swiss painter Ferdinand Hodler. The museum also includes a piece by Alberto Giacometti, the globally recognized Swiss sculptor known for his distinctive style. The spaces are bright and spacious, making it easy to linger and absorb the atmosphere. Lockers are available for storing personal items - a thoughtful convenience. And the museum shop? A delight, as always. I'm drawn to art museum stores, and this one felt like a mini treasure hunt - full of creative finds and unique keepsakes. Conclusion: Zurich shines with artistic brilliance - a true cultural powerhouse
Rolands M — Google review
The Kunsthaus Zurich boasts a vast collection, divided into two sections: the Old and the Old. Some of the works are truly magnificent, and even someone like me, who doesn't know much about art, finds them truly stunning. I wouldn't be able to fully explain them, though. Whether you're an art enthusiast or a tourist, this is a place worth visiting.
Joseph B — Google review
Nothing short of outstanding in every aspect. I new I was going to see artwork old and not so old of many big-name artists, but the excellent way the collections were arranged and information provided on the artists etc. together with practical aspects (the two very spacious beautiful buildings across the street are connected with a pleasant subterranean walkway, there are cloakrooms with plenty of lockers, many toilets, two cafeterias, an amazing souvenir shop, and very helpful staff everywhere), all that made for a beautiful day at Kunsthaus Zürich. I thought kids would not be bored and surely love for instance an amazing LED lights and sound show, or an all-around video projection.
Mirek M — Google review
Incredible museum in Zurich, it's a must when you visit the city. We received free entry with our Zurich card. Plenty of rooms, floors, and items to visit during your time here. In fact it's the largest art museum in Switzerland. There's a tram stop right outside so it's well serviced by public transport. Definitely worth a look.
Graeme L — Google review
The museum offers free entry on every Wednesday to collections and small exhibitions, and it totally worth it. A fee can be paid extra for an audio guide. Impressive art from 14th to nowadays periods are exposed, and it could take up to 2 hours to see everything. The collections are very impressive along with the architecture of the museum building as well. Visitors are not allowed with bottles of water so I had to go up and down to the locker room few times due to incomplete guidance I received at the reception in regards the luggage rule.

Love the collections! Well curated exhibition galleries with a variety of art styles! Not to mention the expansive collection of Giacometti’s and Hodler’s artworks. The architecture of Moser building also provides a lot of details to observe. Definitely will go again!

The Zurich Opera is one of my favorites anywhere. It's a small and charming 19th century theater, with excellent acoustics and sight lines, and some of the best singers and one of the best opera orchestras anywhere. The repertory is diverse, and audiences are respectful and quiet. The location by the lake is spectacular. If you visit Zurich you really should try to catch a performance. Performances tend to sell out, so it's best to book in advance.

We had the absolute pleasure of taking part in a truly special opera tour, lovingly conducted by a kind older lady who has clearly been guiding with heart and soul for many years. Her deep knowledge, warmth, and passion for the Opernhaus made the experience unforgettable. She shared fascinating insights into the history, architecture, and inner workings of the opera house—things we never would have known otherwise. Her storytelling brought everything to life, and we left feeling inspired and so much more connected to the world of opera. This tour was not only informative, but genuinely uplifting. A must-do for anyone visiting the Opernhaus!

Great venue for concerts as they’re very well organized. They also provide ear plugs for protection, which I think is great especially if you bring your children. Went to the Simple Plan/The Offspring concert on September 30, 2025. The friendliness and organization of the security and screening staff was great! Unfortunately we arrived a bit late, after the lights had been turned down because the concert started 30 minutes before the time printed on our tickets. We received an e-mail about the change a week before the concert but weren’t able to arrive earlier. We had a REALLY tough time finding our seats, despite consulting the online seating map as well as several ushers (one of whom was super helpful but unfortunately didn’t work in the section we were sitting in). The point I’m making is, be sure to arrive on time if you’re attending an event here (and also check your e-mail ahead of time😉), as it’s almost impossible to find seats in the dark. Otherwise a fine venue with super convenient public transport options.

Pavillon Le Corbusier stands as a remarkable testament to the genius of renowned architect Le Corbusier, marking his final architectural endeavor. This striking structure, characterized by its vibrant steel and glass color-block design, was commissioned in 1960 by art collector Heidi Weber and opened to the public in 1967, shortly after the architect's passing.
Marvelous museum of the last building designed by famous architect Corbusier. This building was made of steel and glass. Very interesting exhibition of.. the house itself and unique architectural promenade through its various floors and roof.
Daniel B — Google review
If you’re interested in architecture, this is a must see. For those without a more detailed background in architecture, you’ll enjoy walking the house, but there’s less info on him, why he was important, and his influence than I was expecting. More context would help. It is, however, located in a lovely neighborhood with a lakefront park. You can hop a boat down to visit the entire area, which is very enjoyable.
Martha C — Google review
I didn’t go inside of the building but it is quite strange and ugly. May be it is considered as art building but in my opinion it is look like gas station. Around the building, there are very nice historical buildings, green areas, but this building has no relation with its surroundings. Some comments say it is made of glass and steel but it is not correct. Huge concrete part is standing there as very ugly appearance.
Engin A — Google review
The Pavillon Le Corbusier is a completely different experience, intimate in scale but monumental in significance. Situated on the shores of Lake Zurich, this striking building was completed in 1967 and stands as the final work of the legendary architect Le Corbusier. It is also his only building constructed entirely of steel and glass, making it a singular piece in his oeuvre. The pavilion was conceived as a “Gesamtkunstwerk,” or total work of art, uniting architecture, design, painting, and sculpture under one roof. Its colorful façade, modular proportions, and ingenious use of light and space make the building itself the star attraction. Since 2019, the Museum für Gestaltung has operated the pavilion, curating exhibitions that explore Le Corbusier’s multifaceted career. Inside, visitors encounter drawings, models, furniture, and personal artifacts that reveal his vision of modern living. The exhibitions often contextualize his work within broader movements in 20th-century architecture and design, making the visit both visually stunning and intellectually enriching. The lakeside setting adds to the experience, offering a serene backdrop that contrasts with the boldness of the architecture. For admirers of modernism, this pavilion is not just a museum but a pilgrimage site, where one can step directly into the mind of a master.
Dan M — Google review
Pavillon Le Corbusier, located on the shores of Lake Zurich, is the final architectural project designed by Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier. Commissioned by gallery owner Heidi Weber as a gallery and exhibition space to showcase Le Corbusier’s work and ideas, the pavilion was completed in 1967, two years after the architect's death. The structure exemplifies his vision of a "Gesamtkunstwerk"—a total work of art—merging architecture, art, and design into a cohesive whole. The interior features custom furniture, sculptural elements, and a color-coded system that distinguishes different functional areas, embodying his concept of "architecture as a living art." LC4 Chaise Longue is a reclining lounge chair designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand in 1928. It is often called the “relaxing machine” because of its ergonomic, adjustable design that allows the user to recline at different angles.
Kent W — Google review
For Le Corbusier, this pavilion isn't just a simple building; it's a synthesis of his thought, an expression of his vision for an architecture that unites art, nature, and life. It's an ode to functionality and beauty, where steel and glass merge in a geometric harmony. The pavilion is much more than a simple exhibition structure. It's a special place, a multi-sensory experience. Its forms and bright colors create a dynamic space that invites reflection and socializing, a unique place to meet and, if needed, a point of renewed gathering.
Filippo C — Google review
Awesome modern structural house amongst older traditional grand houses. Set on the river. The building itself is ground breaking and yet simple in design. The open-roof-garden is incredible. All design-minded appreciators must visit.
Jean K — Google review

The Theater 11 is a contemporary venue that hosts a diverse range of international shows, from musicals to dance performances. It also features a restaurant-bar for visitors to enjoy. The theater is conveniently located and easily accessible by public transportation or car, with nearby parking options available. While the seating is comfortable, some feel that drink holders are lacking. The stage size is ideal for the space, offering great views from every seat. Although reservations are recommended at the restaurant, the offerings are sufficient and enjoyable.
Very nice venue. I have watched a couple musicals and plays here, all were outstanding. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is so pleasant. I can highly recommend the hotdogs at the concession stands, they have a toppings bar with some great things to load on the wurst. It is also very accessible by public transport, with bus/tram/train stations all nearby.

Shows are generally amazing. The staff are nice and attentive to everyone. My biggest tip is to arrive ahead of time so you can avoid long lines and have a greater chance at getting food at the mini stands inside.
Sara G — Google review
Theater is very nice, staff is helpful, finding seats, storing bags etc all is great. Only the balcony seats are too steep so your viewing angle is bad and can give a headache. The temperature in the theater was also too warm
Gaurav S — Google review
The venue feels like a bare concrete box with little warmth or atmosphere. Many guests arrived in hiking or everyday attire, which diluted the sense of occasion—clearer dress guidance would help. Acoustics were acceptable but not at the standard you’d expect for a theater. Facilities are basic; restrooms felt closer to stadium or cinema quality. Parking is a serious issue: the lot is far too small and poorly laid out, making larger cars especially vulnerable to scratches. I had to park off-site to get out. Food and beverage were underwhelming—Prosecco served in a Champagne glass and a very limited selection (Chäskuchen, a Bretzel, and typical cinema snacks). After the performance, spaces closed immediately, leaving no place to discuss the ballet. Exiting was congested and there was no staff support. With better hospitality, clearer wayfinding, expanded F&B, and real parking solutions, this venue could be revisted. For now, it’s serviceable but just destroys my evening.
Sebastian S — Google review
NO LEG ROOM. Seated in the balcony you can't put your feed under the seat in front. I pity someone with longer legs than me. The staff are excellent!

A bit old but enjoyed a show here. Seats were a bit uncomfy - they sort of fold you in / not good posture and quite tight to the seat in front of you. Great bathrooms made for bigger crowds.

Musical theater in Zürich quite comfortable seat (Except you are really tall) and good atmosphere. Sound quality could be a bit better
Stefan — Google review
This venue hosts some of the best productions that tour this country. But they are unwilling to guarantee the customer a great experience by setting proper agr limits. Children are allowed into the theatre from age 3 and parents shamelessly drag them along tp anything from contemporary dance to some rather explicit / violent shows like Westside Story. The theatre‘s underwhelming response to our complaint (after several performances that were an ordeal at best thanks to selfish parents who simply wouldn’t leave with their annoying kids) was basically, that they‘re unwilling to set seating zone restrictions for kids or rise age limits because of profit. It‘s disrespectful to the customers, the artists on stage and it completely deflects any responsibility to guarantee an enjoyable night out, that never comes cheap. Parents, leave your kids at home until they‘re old enough. Thanks.

If u’re missing the real SF City vibe this is a great place to go on a Sunday. Tons of diverse people having drinks, many of them look like peaceful homeless :-) Skateboards are rolling on Sunday and there is a cafe on site.

Great place for the family, relaxing with the kids at the park, eating some marvelous pastries drinking a coffe... just some steps from Langstrasse

Nothing outstanding about this park, there is no baby swing and there are only 2 swings for children and 1 small slide. Of couse there is a water fountain and a climbing net, but nothing that can't be found somewhere else. There were a lot of homeless people sleeping on the grass today and saw the police waking them up to ask them to leave.

Samigo Amusement is a vibrant lakeside eatery in Zurich, offering global cuisine and a lively atmosphere. It's known for its eclectic decor and upbeat music, creating a cheerful ambiance. The restaurant is particularly popular for its boozy brunches, featuring dishes like yogurt with fresh fruit, waffles, pancakes, and avocado toast with poached eggs. With its spacious terrace overlooking the lake and mountains, Samigo Amusement is an ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely summer brunch.
What a beautiful spot! Samigo Amusement is more than just a bar and restaurant by the lake — it’s a place with soul. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic: relaxed, lively, and full of charm. Although they currently serve only Neapolitan pizzas, the vibe of this place is irresistible. You simply can’t say no to the warmth of the setting or the kindness of the staff. A special shoutout to Zico F., who was truly outstanding — professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. With staff like that, you feel not just served, but truly cared for and appreciated. Thank you for the warm hospitality.

A truly wonderful night out! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was lovely, but it was the service that made our evening truly special. Our server, Ivan, was so attentive and on top of everything. He did a great job making us feel welcome and well-cared for. We had a great evening and will definitely be returning.

The food was good and the view was stunning but our server Ivan made our evening. He was so friendly and attentive, and he made us feel like we were old friends. I’d definitely visit again and make a point to sit in his section if he’s working that evening.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. A lovely waitress named Brunella gave me excellent recommendations for both food and drinks. The service was warm and welcoming, and the food and drinks were a solid 10/10. I’d love to go back again one day 🙂🙂

This place is just perfect for a beautiful day. The restaurant with nature in a perfect mix. Service is always excellent, this time with Roma, very attentive and fast. ALWAYS Cold drinks, fresh food and a delicious atmosphere. I went with a baby stroller and because it is spacious and welcoming, it was a perfect place.

If you ever wish to find yourself holding a deep conversation with someone 20 years older than you than this is the place to be. The goa events are certainly a joy to experience especially when the clock hits 4 and your discussing life with someone you would’ve never met! Urbansurf offers a unique experience of surfing in the heart of the city. Located in Zurich, Switzerland, it provides an opportunity for landlocked individuals to catch a wave that never stops. The setup is different from traditional surfing as the water comes from the front, requiring a shift in balance. The venue features beach umbrellas around a wave pool where visitors can surf or simply relax with cocktails.
Amazing place with great atmosphere and delicious food. It's like a little holiday in the middle of Zurich. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They have fun events from sports activities to wine festivals to competitions. Keep an eye on their calendar to see what's coming up!

Such a fun place! You can visit even if you do not like to surf yourself. There are great chill and lounge areas, good food and drinks, and you can watch people surfing for free. Also, there is good music, and, in the summertime, it is also very during the late hours. Would definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out. The location is easily accessible by tram and bus but has limited parking options.

I didn’t take surf lessons this time, but rather relaxed in the shade with a cold beer and Flammkuchen while interestingly watching other sportier people surf right in front of me. Yes, it was a bit expensive but it was also something unique to do on a hot Friday evening😁

Shocked to see how it changed. Went there for Truffle Fries (18.50) and karagee chicken (26.50) and drinks. Had to give back the truffle fries as they have been incredibly low quality and nowhere near to meet the price point. The chicken was basically 5 pieces of fried chicken that also wasn’t great. Asked for a partial refund, which was not possible on the spot. Would have had to give my bank details to get the refund. I mean how unprofessional is that. Zero sense of customer focus of the manager in duty (12.4.). It’s sad to see it took some wrong turns during the winter to come up with something like that.
S. H — Google review
Urbansurf is fun. Hang out, watch people surf, or learn how to surf, have a drink, maybe even eat one of those hummus plates. They're great. Prices can be a bit steep, but it's Zurich after all... All in all a nice place.

I've been trying to book a place for 2 days and my payment is broken. I can't enter the full card details because of the bank's security. I can't get through and they don't answer letters. I can't pay for another way to help, and entering the card data is sorry, it's not a very good service. I have a Visa card, the name of your sponsor, but you couldn't make a decent payment service. Do you collect card data? Or the quality of your waves is also without proper service? It was very important to me, I wanted to have a holiday for a year of relationship. I'm very disappointed. I found a few of your competitors, with more decent prices and large sites, albeit a little further.

The choreography and direction of the show are highly praised, making it a must-see experience. The organization and safety measures are top-notch, ensuring a high-quality production.
I'm a big fan of Art on Ice since my first time in 2016. I get hypnotised by the skaters, and the selection of bands and musicians is amazing every year! One of the most beautifully-made shows in Switzerland!

The skating performances are amazing=5 stars! The dancers-skaters are incredible=5 stars! However, the show story is narrated in german and unfortunately no individual translators are offered (like in museums) neither a translation is projected in a big screen (like the opera). So only the german speakers can understand the full story which is a pity for such a show composed by international athletes and enjoyed by an international public (from overall Europe or the world). There is always somehing to improve.

A nice event, where I did find few really interesting authors, both local and international. Not only paintings, but also photography, stone-works, interactive stands. Prices vary from chf 400-500 to chf 5000-8000, at least what I noticed.
Ilya G — Google review
Our team of art scholars and enthusiasts found it challenging to approach this exhibition with an objective lens, as the pieces lacked cohesive curation and contemporary relevance. While the artist’s participation is financially driven, the quality and thematic substance of the work felt outdated, failing to engage with modern artistic dialogues. Art exhibitions should inspire reflection and conversation, yet this one fell short, feeling more like an uninspired display than an evocative experience.

Festival
Cycle Week is an annual event held at the Brunau campus, where visitors can test out a variety of bikes over three days. The event is well-organized and offers a pleasant atmosphere for bike enthusiasts to enjoy. Participants have the opportunity to try out different bikes without any other commitments, making it a great experience for those passionate about cycling.
(Translated by Google) It is a well-organized event that enriches the city of Zurich. Nowhere else can you test ride so many bicycles and e-bikes and interview experts in such a central location. The best entertainment is also provided for the young and very young as well as for the young at heart :-). We used to have a stand ourselves, but unfortunately we no longer have any free capacity to maintain operations. Our suppliers (Bosch, Brompton, Cube, Larry vs Harry, Riese & Müller, Shimano, Tern, Urban Arrow and more) do a great job on site. May Peter also do a good job these days!

I am writing this as an exhibitor at Cycle Week 2023. The used to Bike Days, now Cycle Week vibe is completly gone along with the past Solothurn location. Breaking up the  event into 2 locations harmed the atmosphere. Brand exposure to random Europaalle train station passerby with no ticketed entry was pointless except for marketing exercise in desirable location. Organization in Europaalle location was very poor and signage was barely visible. Event lacked it's usual perk, buzz and energy. Pre-bought brand tents stripped event of individuality and gave it uniformed, cold, corporate feel. Brunau location anticipation of 5000 to 7000 visitors is not even close to being realistic. As far my company is concerned, we paid Cycle Week for a location, where in fact we we offered none.  It's clear that "COVID situation" lead Bike Days to a financial loss. Sadly, despite long-term cooperation, the organizers lacked decency to communicate the truth so that no informed participation decision could have been made. Whatever good was created before, it's gone and we ended up being scammed.

(Translated by Google) My rating only refers to the campus in Brunau, m. Tested 4 bikes extensively in 3 days, and without any other commitments I would test 2 again tomorrow. Well organized, pleasant atmosphere. All this for 18.- I'm already looking forward to next year.

(Translated by Google) If you love cycling, you MUST go to Cycleweek and invest the 10 CHF. You can then test racing bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes and touring bikes as much as you like. There are test routes that are top-notch (including trails) and you can talk to many experts to learn things. Good atmosphere and nice people.

(Translated by Google) Very interesting exhibition, but the price of 10.- is relatively high for the small exhibition part, which is not included. (Original) Sehr interessante Ausstellung, jedoch ist der Preis von 10.- relativ viel für den kleinen Ausstellungsteil, welcher nicht Inbegriffen ist.
