The National Science and Media Museum is a vibrant hub dedicated to the fascinating worlds of television, radio, film, and photography. Recently revamped with exciting exhibitions like 'Sonic: Adventures in Audio' and 'Boom: Experiments in Sound,' it offers an engaging experience for visitors of all ages. The interactive displays in 'Boom' allow guests to explore sound waves' journeys while learning about their impact on our lives.
This is an excellent museum. Free of charge, although donations encouraged. Lots to see and do, very well thought out displays. I've been coming since my first school trip, which helped fuel my lifelong passion for film and television.

We had a great time visiting the Bradford Science and Media Museum. The exhibits are engaging, interactive, and perfect for visitors of all ages. I especially loved the hands-on science displays and the fascinating film and TV history sections. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. The gentleman giving the talk about the planets was fun and engaging. The museum offers a great mix of education and fun, with plenty of opportunities to explore and learn in a lively environment. Whether you’re interested in science, technology, or media, this museum is definitely worth a visit.

100% worth a visit. Free entry for most but a fee exhibits you pay extra to go in. The video game floor is by far the best £3 and you can play loads of retro and classic video games. (Also makes me feel old that video games are in a museum 😢)
T — Google review
Free entry to a fun packed, interactive experience. Suitable for all ages. No time limits. Small entry charges to some exhibits. A great family day out. Cafe and toilets.
Jo G — Google review
Good museum with free entry. Wonderlab was the kids favourite area. Spent around 2 hours. Lifts take ages so easy to just use stairs. Has a gift shop.

Great variety of interactive and engaging exhibits, covering everything from photography to the internet. Good overall, and the free entry makes it fantastic value.

Oh the nostalgia! I used to visit here as a kid (maybe 15 years ago 😳). My visit today was the perfect combination of childhood memories and brand new experiences and IT’S FREE! Five floors of exhibitions…something for everyone. It’s a must if you’re in the area.

Lots of photo ops at You Matter. Sound and Vision is a new gallery that talks about technology used in cinema, press, radio and media. Enjoy the fairies story and the Foley interactive most!

The Bradford Industrial Museum offers an engaging look into the industrial revolution, showcasing exhibits on textile machinery, steam power, engineering, printing machinery, and motor vehicles. Housed in a small worsted spinning mill from 1875, the museum provides insight into the city's industrial past. Visitors can explore working exhibits and learn about the cultural impact of this historical period. Additionally, there are displays depicting Moorside House and mill-workers' terraced houses across different time periods.
What a fantastic day we had today at the museum! It was free entry but we made a donation for the token of appreciation. The museum was packed with lots of history/facts alongside all the engines and machinery. It’s an Engineer’s dream here! There were plenty of moving pieces of machinery and you can watch demonstrations from different departments. They have also moved a row of terrace houses and rebuilt them in the grounds and fitted them with furniture from the bygone era! The Mill Manager’s house was also a spectacle to see! Then lastly, we saw a blacksmith forge in action! Would highly recommend this to anyone interested in machinery and the history around Bradford and surrounding areas!
Elisa W — Google review
Free to enter and lots of amazing things to see. We loved the transport gallery as well as the great terraced houses to look back in time at housing as it would've been. We visited on a weekday and the museum was fairly quiet so easy to see and interact with everything that we wanted to.
Flora S — Google review
Bradford Industrial Museum is an absolutely stunning gem 💎. The place will bring You great memories and it's like a travel machine. Great selection of steam trains, classic cars, old bikes and lot of different innovative engineering ideas from the past. I highly advise skip the central part of Bradford just for this place itself and trust me You won't regret it. It's worth to see worsted spinning wheel in action :) there are toilets, cafe and parking nearby. The museum is free but honestly please leave some cash donation there to keep this stunning museum alive.
Paul B — Google review
Great place, nice presentation of the historic growth of Bradford and the way the industrial revolution helped it to develop and be what it is now. Unfortunately I guess there was no plan how to continue keeping their production and the outcome of that is evident in the way the city is now. Is there a chance for that to be redeveloped or create a new products that will bring life back here again.
Bogomil R — Google review
Excellent! I had a fantastic time. The museum is full of exciting things to see. Only downside not a wonderful cafe but still a sandwich and hot drink was available and was sufficient. Plenty to look at and keep you interested.
Gail W — Google review
A great Industrial museum, with activities for children (colouring in, dressing up a dummy, printing etc) and a vintage car gallery and terrace houses decorated through the decades. Especially good to visit when the machines are running, and when the Mill Owners house is open. Admission by suggested donation (currently £3 per adult visitor) this is a low cost/free place for families to visit. Limited free parking onsite.
BEVERLEY T — Google review
Storm Floris got me to reschedule my outdoor plans. So I needed an urgent rearrangement and this museum was it. At 11:45am the husband is asking, "how long will you be as I need to be somewhere for 1:15pm." Response : "Ohhh! An hour and a half. Can't be much more that can it?" (I'm thinking the 4 year old would probably get bored) So off we went. Soon as we walked in, the 4 year old activity started. And from time to time there was an activity for a very eager little child whilst the elder two (12 and 13 respectively) keenly looked, wondering how people managed in those days. The husband went and came back at 2:30pm and we still hadn't finished. We did get a pit stop from the little gift shop. A standard coffee, sandwich/baguette and a seabrook crisp for £5 which was pretty decent. The staff were very helpful. The card machine wasn't working so he patiently waited for me to try several times until he cancelled the transaction and started again. (i didn't catch his name I'm so sorry) The 4 year old still wanted to play/read books in the various corners. I was surprised at how much we enjoyed ourselves and time flew by. We could have spent a little longer. It did get a bit busy during the afternoon so I'm glad we started early. Mind you my children love historical artefacts and so do l. If your children don't enjoy that sort of thing, it's still good enough to try as it's all FREE! It may just change their mind. There's so much to see over two floors. Thank you for a fantabulous day ♥️

Interesting museum giving the history of different industries in Bradford including motoring, steam engines and woollen. Also has a working blacksmith there. Parking is a little limited, especially when there are events on.

Cartwright Hall is a grand civic art gallery located within the grounds of Lister Park. It specializes in 19th and 20th-century British art, with four permanent galleries showcasing impressive contemporary exhibitions. The gallery offers a diverse range of work, from established names to new artists and designers. Visitors can enjoy the ever-changing program of exhibitions without any admission fee.
Top marks! Interesting and eclectic collection of art work in a beautiful building and it's free. Some of the exhibitions are temporary e.g. David Hockney. Lovely helpful staff. There is a lift to the upper floor plus an accessible toilet and another lift to avoid the steps getting in and out of the building. Zipped round in half an hour as it was near closing time but we were still warmly welcomed and we didn't feel rushed. There's a cafe serving hot food until 2pm which closes at 3.30pm and the gallery closes at 4pm. The fountain gardens outside are very picturesque. Managed to park for free on the road opposite the gates. Highly recommend.
Zee N — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit to Cartwright Hall to see the displays, but especially to see Fighting to be Heard and I Am Me. Those two exhibitions were very beautiful and well-curated - everyone involved should be very proud of their efforts. The entrance exhibition space is beautiful, including the impressive sculptures. I was also really happy to see a Dame Laura Knight painting, which I didn't realise was on display here before I visited, as I'd just finished reading about her and her work. I enjoyed some of the Hockney art, and I loved the gallery spaces upstairs featuring artworks by Arpana Caur, Emilie Taylor, Sutapa Biswas, Bertram Priestman, L.S. Lowry, William Shackleton, and Yinka Shonibare (I mention these in particular as they were my favourite works). Unfortunately the refreshment room was closed, however this was clearly advertised on the Bradford Museums and Galleries social media so we knew this before we visited. The staff were lovely and the gift shop was well stocked.

What a fabulous gem of Culture we found today !! Some contemporary art , some archive pieces, and a fabulous exhibition of David Hockney and his life, born in Bradford and still a working Artist 80 years later ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No tickets required !!! Free entry !! Which is why we bought lots of items at the shop, had coffee and cakes , and put some cash into the donation box.

Fantastic David Hockney Exhibition. Free entry too. Easy to park for no charge near by, nice cafe for a quick coffee. The Hockney exhibition was extremely informative about his early life and career history. Lovely park to explore too.

This art gallery is in one of those Victorian buildings that expresses the confidence of the period. On my visit there was an exhibition of the Turner Prize finalists and this was excellently curated. It is well worth a visit if you are at all interested in art. The setting, within a large park, only adds to the experience.
Joe B — Google review
Visited Cartwright Hall for the Turner Prize and it was wonderful! Such a nice way to spend a few hours on a weekend. Gorgeous building, lots of free parking round about. Would recommend.
Isabelle M — Google review
Beautiful stone hall repurposed as a museum and art gallery, and visited by David Hockney when he was younger. Its free to enter and they have different exhibitions throughout the year. The last time I visited I saw The Clangers and Bagpuss, this time I saw the Jameel Prize: Moving Images exhibition. There is a small cafe downstairs serving drinks and limited foods. Outside the hall there are a few sculptures and gardens to walk through. Entry is free.

A lovely museum, the cafe was very nice as well, I got tuna mayo sandwiches that were very nice and a toffee muffin with a bottle of water. I bought myself a fridge magnet and keyring as a souvenir.

Lister Park, located just a mile from Bradford's city center, offers a wide range of activities for families and art enthusiasts alike. The park features a boating lake, tennis and bowls facilities, a playground for kids, and a delightful café serving delicious ice cream. Visitors can also explore the botanical gardens with winding geological trails and the serene Mughal Water Garden inspired by Islamic and Indian architecture.
A lovely, well-maintained park. We’re not from the area, but during our visit we didn’t see any of the unsavoury behaviour that you sadly come across in some parks these days. It felt safe to walk around, has a beautiful lake, well-kept gardens, and a fountain area. The children’s playground in Lister Park is one of the largest we’ve ever come across - really impressive!
J — Google review
It is a lovely park with a lot of history, such as the entrance gate, statue of Titus Salt, Cartwright Hall, and I'm sure other points of interest I may not have noticed. I used to go to the playground when I was younger, and it seems to have had a nice upgrade. A walk along the boating lake is very relaxing, although unfortunately the tearooms and boating pavilion are currently closed. Overall, it is a nice place in which to spend time during the day, and the bus links to and from are excellent.
Alex W — Google review
It's a lovely green park a little way out of the centre of Bradford. There are some Mughal gardens ( a bit like alhambra style gardens) - though the water features were a bit foamy - a large lake and other features. It nicely complements a visit to the art gallery. There is a reasonable amount of parking - but I can imagine parking being difficult on a sunny Summer weekend.
Joe B — Google review
Saw the Turner Prize here, fantastic park and old building which houses thr exhibition. We managed to get parked for free in the nearby small car park. The volunteers were all very friendly, there were lots of people. They had done a great job of exhibiting the works in the large rooms. Well worth seeing
Graham S — Google review
Beautiful, clean, and very well looked after. Lister Park is perfect for a picnic, with plenty of scenic spots and space for kids to enjoy riding their scooters. The playground is great, featuring a sandpit, a younger children’s area, and a separate section for older kids. A lovely place for families to spend the day

Lovely park nice and clean Parking is sometimes hard to find The pond area could do with a clean along with the sand pit Kids always have a good time love how dogs and no smoking within the kids area

Bradford Cathedral, a medieval Church of England cathedral, boasts original nave arcades and notable stained-glass windows. Dating back to the 7th century, it is the city's oldest place of worship. The cathedral welcomes visitors to explore its beautiful garden space and offers free entry for those interested in delving into its 500 years of history. Additionally, it hosts various events such as traditional Christmas concerts and art exhibitions.
Hidden in the busy and vibrant city of Bradford is a dark stone staircase that leads up to a postcard pretty small cathedral and well maintained grounds. An oasis of calm and reflection in an otherwise vibrant and busy city. The cathedral is very welcoming of visitors and has lots of information about the cathedrals history and its majestic stained glass windows. The cathedral often has events on to entice visitors of all ages. The cathedral has a small shop and toilet facilities This visit was a highlight of my recent visit to Bradford.
Debbie — Google review
A beautiful cathedral! I approached via some very impressive sweeping stone steps/staircase and was immediately impressed by the shape and size of the Cathedral. I was warmly greeted as I entered the Cathedral and had a really interesting chat with the guide. The stained glass windows, many by William Morris are a joy to behold and the ceiling is equally impressive. It was very touching to see the plaque referencing the Bradford City Football Ground fire. There is a small shop and toilet facilities. Well worth a visit to o this beautiful building.
Anne S — Google review
This is my second time at Bradford Cathedral, and I am really enjoying it. The Cathedral has opened itself up for concerts - there's currently a program of concerts by candlelight; some classical, some R&B. A surprising number of gigs going on. At this one, they had even added a small bar with reasonable prices. The Cathedral already has toilet facilities inside the main building, including an accessible cubicle - although it's not always easy to spot which cubicles are vacant if you have sight issues, but people are generally very helpful. The staff and volunteers are very kind. A great visit, and beautiful place to go and listen to a concert in. I hope to be back again soon!
Lizzie W — Google review
A lovely oasis in the city. Friendly knowledgable guides & beautiful architecture. Impressive craft display on increasing rise in temperature in W Yorkshire. Free but donations welcome A lovely place to visit.
Jenni L — Google review
Went on a tour of the Cathedral. Really interesting. A bit hard to get up to it though - either lots of steps or a very steep path.
Jill S — Google review
Relatively small as cathedrals go. It has been added to and restored from an earlier church building. Much of the flooring is of new stone flags whilst there are some older elements too. There's some good stained glass by William Morris and Edward Burne Jones among others. The font is interesting as is its extraordinary carved wooden lid. A tall spire that is winched up and down onto the top of the font by a chain pulley system. There is a team of knowledgeable volunteers who will guide you to points of interest.
Michael R — Google review
I expected to be here less than an hour or so but I met Robert, a Welcomer, who was incredibly interesting and showed me so much! His passion for the cathedral was infectious and his knowledge was amazing. I honestly had the best time. Thanks so much Robert (if you read this) for taking the time to answer all my questions and point out so many small and interesting details. I never did find the last three pelicans though.

Salts Mill, a former textile mill built in 1853 by Sir Titus Salt, has been transformed into a vibrant cultural and entertainment complex. It features art galleries showcasing works by renowned British artists like David Hockney, as well as indie shops offering various treasures. Visitors can explore the history of the mill and the local area while enjoying free entry to the galleries. The complex also houses a cafe, restaurant, and an antiques shop for a complete experience.
Lovely visit today. Walk around the park then went into the Mill. All free. Went via train from Skipton. David Hockney exhibition. Quiet coffee on 3rd floor but bit a big range of food. Cafe on L2 busy and food looked good. All Terrain cycles were very friendly.

Great day out in all weather. Lots to see and do. Had little trouble parking. Gallery & mill shops to enjoy. Small village with some nice shops, inc a bakery & arts and crafts. If you want to be outside, large beautiful clean park to stroll around in pathed walkways. Riverside pub/bistro to enjoy refreshments serving nice food & beer on tap. Nip up to the tramway for a little bit of historical cheap fun, very well run by hardworking & passionate volenteers.

I had a fabulous day. The art by Hockney is astounding. The exhibit showing his process was especially fascinating. We ate in the diner. Twas a lovely meal and the staff nicely attentive. Free parking, free art by premier artists, a fabulous building in wonderful surroundings. Great use of an old building. What's not to love?

My favourite place in Yorkshire! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and still love it now. Great selection of shops, art, restaurants! Really well looked after building and I can spend hours in here!

A fascinating historic mill that has been transformed into a vibrant hub for arts, culture, dining, and community life. It’s best known for its impressive collection of David Hockney’s work, which alone makes it worth a visit. Alongside the art, you’ll find excellent dining options, engaging displays on the mill’s history, and insights into the surrounding village. With ample parking and so much to see and do, it’s an ideal place to spend the day.

Incredible place, We Will Sing is amazing and is highly recommend a visit just for this, I really wish I could buy a vinyl album of the recording it was breathtaking. But there are also wonderful shops with books, stationery etc. Quite a few eating options, the carrot cake in the upper cafe is heavenly! And of course the artwork is fantastic. Very highly recommend!

The Alhambra Theatre in Bradford is a historic 1,400-seat performing-arts venue that hosts large touring shows and international dance events. The theatre is named after the Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain and was inspired by local impresario Francis Laidler in 1912.
One of the best theatres we've been in. Accessible for all. The show 'The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe' was absolutely amazing again one of the best shows around. A credit to all the cast and the staff we had a brilliant time. I'm sure we will be visiting again.
June G — Google review
I wanted to say a huge thank you to the theatre staff (especially the tall gentleman with glasses) and bbc production crew member who helped us on Sunday 12th October. My girlfriend and I booked tickets for us and our little girl to see the CBeebies panto on Sunday (or so we thought!) We arrived at the theatre early to make sure we could find our seats and get settled. We’d been sat in our seats for about ten minutes when, as kids do, she decided she needed the toilet. While I waited for my girlfriend and little girl to come back, a family arrived and looked a bit confused. ‘Sorry I think these are our seats’ we checked tickets and they noticed my tickets were for the night before! I felt awful, my little girl would be devastated if we had to leave. I thought I’d ruined the whole day. I gathered our things and made my way back to the exit to find my girlfriend in full panic mode. I saw a lady from the bbc production crew and begged her for help. She was so kind and understanding, she just said ‘don’t worry, it happens more than you’d think, we’ll sort something’. She went and found a member of the theatre staff (possibly the manager - the tall gentleman with glasses - wish I’d got their names!) who advised it was a full house but if we followed him he’d sort something out. 2 minutes later we were sat down in time for the panto and our little girl was none the wiser (she just thought we’d been given better seats!). It was completely our fault and they could have just shrugged and asked us to leave, but instead they went out of their way to help and avoided breaking my little girls heart, for that I’ll be forever grateful.
Dominic P — Google review
Pre-Show: Great waiting area, loads of space at the bars, rare to get a seat before a show starts but there were so many tables it made it quite easy. I did not buy any food or drink at the venue as I took my own water in and I saw other people with snacks so loved this aspect of the venue. The queue for the merchandise was ridiculously long and poorly placed (on the stairs so people were trying to get by). A second merchandise location would've helped. The toilets weren't busy when I went and there were a few dotted around which felt suitable for the theatre size. During show: I was in the Dress Circle, Row A, Seat 19. There is a railing that slightly obstructed my view but once the lights were down it was barely noticeable. The circle railing was at a good height to look over (I'm 5'3" and could see fine without leaning forward). The staff were helpful and seating space was good. The Show: I saw Percy Jackson and the Lighting Thief which was surprisingly better than I expected. I would recommend it to fans of mythology and the book/movie/TV show. Overall, after being in quite a few cramped London venues recently I really enjoyed the amount of space at this venue both inside the auditorium and front of house.

Watched the matinée performance of Mary Poppins. It was absolutely fantastic. Everyone on the stage was amazing. A must see show. The Alhambra is a lovely venue to watch a show. Comfy seats.

We ventured to Bradford from Wakefield. Theatre really easy to find, but then again it is world famous and plonked right bang in the middle of the middle of the city.Disney’s Mary Poppins was our choice for a Sunday Matinee performance. Everything about our experience was truly and wholeheartedly supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. The staff would go that extra mile to be helpful, I will definitely be visiting again.

Always a great experience, the production of Hamilton was amazing. Tge theater is a imposing building with amazing architecture and a great view from the very good restaurant on the upper floor. Disabled parking is great with easy access to the main building and lifts to the upper floor and restaurant. All in all a great theatrical experience. Top marks will be back soon.

Bolling Hall in Bradford, West Yorkshire, is a captivating museum housed in a grand manor dating back to the 14th century. The museum offers an immersive experience into local history through its extensive collection of artefacts and furniture. Visitors can explore the lives of the families who resided in the hall for over 500 years, with each room furnished to represent different historical eras.
I come here from time to time due to the museum being free to visit. Although I hardly ever experience any ghost sightings when I visit the building the interesting facts about the place and the overall history is still as fascinating. Bolling hall is amazing and I would recommend going here to anybody who is interested.

Super cool place with so much history. If you have a chance to, please visit here! If this was in London or any busier city it would be so packed out. I went on a Thursday afternoon at lunchtime and it was pretty empty. I loved all the old history and the way they’ve decorated the rooms. The ghost room gave me a little chill too so watch out …

Wow so much history, what a lovely place to explore/learn about, donations welcomed. Questions answered as volunteers helpfully knowledgeable. Car park but also on road parking opposite the park. Lovely garden, the blossom almost out too. Modern library too!

An absolute gem with lots of interesting artefacts about its history from Medieval through to Georgian and 20th Century inhabitants. The staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable. We have been a number of times but there's always something new to discover and remember. Visit in the Spring when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Great for kids of the grown up variety too. For the 110th anniversary they had various interesting talks and activities including Medieval music ans the story of the Bradford Boar. Very well curated. Know your history. Visit and support

We really enjoyed our visit. We have been twice now, and enjoyed both times. Our first visit was on a ghost hunt at night, and it was really fun. Our next visit was during the day, and it was nice to see lots of history. The staff were so friendly and we got some lovely photos. It doesn't cost to go through the day, but they do ask for a donation of around £3 for the upkeep of the building. The ghost hunt does cost, but was well worth the money as we had a great night with everyone who was there. Sadly we did not witness any paranormal activity.

Bolling hall is a great place to visit, it's the oldest building in Bradford and is free to visit. It played a major part in the civil war history of Bradford and you can till visit the Ghost room. St George's Hall is a magnificent Victorian concert hall located in Bradford, steeped in history since its opening in 1853. Renowned for its exceptional acoustics and stunning architecture, the venue features an ornate auditorium that captivates audiences. Throughout the year, St George's Hall comes alive with a diverse array of events ranging from rock and pop concerts to classical performances and comedy shows.
Had a great evening watching the show «The Dreams I had by Andrea Dunbar» from the Top tier. A tad too high, but an amazing show. The staff were all really friendly at the venue. One employee went our of his way pre-show to get a gentleman a seat before the theatre opened. Prices are ver reasonable, and a perfect location.

Having been around Bradford for decades, I tend to take it for granted. However I was involved in an event based on St George's Hall over the weekend with visitors from elsewhere in the UK and overseas and was struck by how much they were impressed by it (and indeed the city centre). As an old building it has some limitations but a very nice facility.

A delightful hidden gem of a theatre, I think often existing in the shadow of the Alhambra and Leeds Grand but it is a truly charming theatre. I’ve attended multiple events here over my lifetime, ranging from comedy and theatre to live music and awards evenings. Every event has been well executed. Make sure you add it to your choice of venue if you’re in the area.

Has of yet still not had any positive response from my enquiring about a book that's only available in Bradford. in modern times with technology I really can't understand why just buying a available book has to take a long process. The Peace Museum, located in a historic Victorian building in Bradford, showcases the often overlooked history of social reform, peace movements, and peacemakers. Despite the city's experience with German bombings during World War II, it has fostered a spirit that is celebrated at this small anti-war museum. The museum's three galleries feature over 7,000 items including exhibits on Nobel peace prize winners, individuals opposing nuclear weapons, and local peacemakers.
Such important information that should be required visiting, and the people who work there are also wonderful. It's also free, so there's no excuse - visit! (Note it is not in Bradford, but Salt Mills Saltaire. I advised Google!)

A charming museum located in Salt's Mill devoted to the ideal of peace. Staff were warm and engaging and the care taken in the curatorship is self-evident. Particularly good for children, lots of activities including making your own badge (50p each) and your own banner for peace. An inexpensive but enjoyable trip out.

The noise of chanting women from the old recordings did my head in. Journalist Argument and flute playing were other audio features. I had to leave as I couldn’t stand it after a few mins. There were however a couple of nice features and a badge making station and crane origami station. The noise from the main screen installation was (to me) like fingernails down a blackboard. Ironically, un peaceful.

Shipley Glen Tramway, established in 1896, is a well-preserved historic tramway operated by dedicated volunteers. This traditional mode of transport offers a leisurely 400-meter ride through the picturesque Shipley Glen, providing access to Saltaire Railway Station and the charming shops and restaurants at Salts Mill. As one of the oldest working cable tramways in Great Britain, it serves as both an enjoyable and affordable means of sightseeing in the scenic Bradford area.
This is our country at its best. Volunteers running a beautiful tramway for the pleasure and enjoyment of others. It’s not brash, expensive, commercial. It is a small friendly enterprise that I am sure gives huge pleasure to many people. I loved it. It was a few minutes each way of the joy of nature and the bluntest running it were super lovely.

This was a fantastic attraction to ride, with cheap journey tickets and staff readily available to buy them! The tram is pulled up a glorious route driverless through the trees which has Christmas lights during winter, accompanied by decorations like a vintage wheelbarrow on the platforms. Last station has a mini exhibition showing the history of the tramway that was interesting, even shown with an old sign as the Tram Stop!

Lovely day visiting the tramway. One way was 50p for over 4 years olds and £1.50 per adult. It takes you to the top and you can walk along across Shipley Glen which is a lovely walk. There is a tea room and a public house with ice cream vans around to help encourage young ones. Afterwards we walked down the hill past the tramway and visited Roberts Park which is a lovely large park with a play area for children. There was also a new train in the park.

Fantastic little tramway. The staff were all so lovely and made my sons day. The day tickets are inexpencive and unlimited, so you can ride up and down a few times. The tramway itself is not big enough to fill the whole afternoon, but Roberts park across the road from the car park is lovely and has a cafe and play park. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip here and will be back again soon.

Really enjoyed taking a trip on the land train here and catching the cricket match being on was an added bonus as well. Cool statues of alpacas, cannons and Titus Salt as well. Just keep away from the bottom end of the park where the covered seating area is, as this was not only a litter magnet but it was where the yobs hang out playing loud music and lightning fires for some reason.

A great place just to chill out and relax on the banks of the River Aire. Across the river bridge from the park, is the beautiful historic village of Saltaire. Also Salts Mill and the lovely United Reformed church, where Sir Titus Salt is buried. Saltaire railway station which is on the Airedale train line provides handy connections to the nearby Cities of Bradford and Leeds, along with connections to Keighley, Skipton and beyond. It is also possible to change trains at Shipley train station to connect with the Wharfedale train line for services to Baildon, Guiseley and Ilkley. You can also change at Keighley, for the Keighley and Worth Valley heritage steam railway. There is also the historical Shipley Glen Tramway on the other side of Roberts Park which runs upto Shipley Glen and Baildon Moor, and also nice walks to be enjoyed along the Leeds Liverpool canal which passes through Saltaire Village.

The Bradford Police Museum features uniforms, photographs, and cells from the late 19th century which celebrate the history of policing in Bradford. The museum is housed in the original police station and contains information on policing in Victorian England.
First of all it's an amazing little museum right at the heart of Bradford. It should be more well known but at the moment it is still more or less a secret. It should also have much more space available than it does at the moment since they can hardly display all their exhibits, which is a real shame. Also only part of the prison is accessible since Bradford City Council still uses another part as sort of an archive. I do hope that more visitors come to help the museum and it's volunteer staff gain traction and maybe get a larger space. Like I already said you can visit the women's prison, parts of the old police station which have been amazingly restored, you can even visit the old courthouse. You get a free tour from one of the amazingly knowledgeable volunteers which is a real treat and you can take as many pictures as you like. It's well worth a visit and the exhibition itself is also worthwhile exploring with the explanations of your guide. Definitely a must see if you are in the area.
Christoph K — Google review
This was a fascinating museum to visit, showing the likes of police weapons and hats from different periods! Exhibits also go into detail about the introduction of fingerprints and tape recordings evidence, an old motorbike is on display alongside a cute police dog in a car. Billboards discuss diversity in the force, tackling hate crimes and forced marriages; a classic blue police box is shown near the entrance also. The tour lasted for over an hour where we were taken into the prison that was used here many decades ago and walked through the corridors to these cells, conditions were raw where people stayed with specific cells for sick men or women and one cell had such private information that no pictures were allowed (you'll have to see on the tour)! An object for criminals to be forced to sit in was so awful that they didn't even have any spots to put their hands out, we saw how evidence was compiled and records kept of inmates many years back which was interesting. The court was part of our visit too and we were told about how the trials took place with people's legal representation, court building goes very high up to a glass roof!

Really enjoyed the visit to the Police Museum, the staff are really friendly and our tour guide, Charlie, was really informative, giving us an insight into the history of policing in Bradford City. Lovely to learn the differences (and similarities) to how GMP’s predecessors operated, before it was founded in 1974. Lovely to talk to David outside, giving tips on joining the police, and him telling us about his time in the job. Would definitely recommend.

Bingley Five Rise Locks, located along the Leeds Liverpool Canal in Bradford, is a well-known set of locks due to its unique feature of having five consecutive locks. This area offers a picturesque and enjoyable walk, with a child-friendly cafe nearby for visitors to grab a bite to eat. The steep lock staircase at Bingley Five Rise Locks is considered the steepest in Britain, making it an impressive sight for travelers.
An amazing piece of more than 250 year old engineering. We've gone up and down in our boat, which is still terrifying with the depth of them but the works are amazing. So are the views, it's a great walk. The cafe is also great.

I should really visit more with this being right on our doorstep. Took my son down today to have him walk over the bridges on the 5 rise and we ended up watching a barge come up. He was so mesmerised by it. The three lock keepers on today were really nice and let him help open some of the locks by pushing which really made his day. They were so helpful and great with him. Lovely clean area and well looked after. Great for anyone to enjoy.

The locks are amazing, and the Canal and River Trust hands on guys who take you up and down are conscientious and kind to Canal newbies. Strict time tables and rules during peak months, more relaxed out of season.

A lovely walk up past the five locks. This used to be the highway to Liverpool on river boats & barges. A must for all walkers on a beautiful day wander up past the Victorian Engineering of the Five Locks. There is a wicked little coffee shop at the top of the Locks we had to pop in and grad a sandwich and Tea, This was very reasonable for £9.00 A must if you like to de tune from the modern life and want a slower pace.
Tahir A — Google review
Nice area and an amazing bit of engineering. Quite hard to get a good photo of all 5 locks. Was surprised no boat tours through the lock. If you struggle with mobility, take a scooter as is steep and slippy.

A wonderful place for a gongoozla. I am not good with heights nor with water, so you would think this is not the place for me, but it is incredible. There is a cafe at the top and a water point for the boaters. At the top there is a swing bridge to be operated before you can access the rise. CRT were on hand to open the bridge and then help a boater through. The water really shoots out under some pressure as the photo hopefully shows. It was a pretty dull wintry day, but the experience is excellent. A little further down is the Bingley 3 staircase locks which we will visit on our next time.

Me and my friends had an absolute blast at this centre, where the lady took my booking information promptly upon arrival in the 15 minutes prior to session required timeframe! The waiting area was comfortable to sit in and the purple colour scheme was visually pleasing, right next to the toilets that were very clean with a proper layout when I used them. Our briefing was gone through clearly at the scheduled time in a dark room with lights, helping prepare us for the arena! We wore brightly coloured laser packs that made for strong visibility in the arena, a desolate one giving an appropriate vibe for the games. Took scouts here for a session. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff very friendly and accomodating considering there were over 20 scouts and 4 leaders. Toilets available as well as hot and cold drinks and sweets.

Great experience whilst also being affordable. It includes a mini arcade inside that you can explore whilst waiting and the stadium is quite big (2 floors with lots of space). The staff were pleasant and made the introductory session painless!

Very busy and loads of fun. I went as part of a large group on a charity night with my grandson and his friend also quite a few from my grandson's football team, staff was nice and friendly and seemed to know their job well, only criticism was, is that I felt the games were a bit short !! But that is only my thought , overall had a good evening 🙏 So went again tonight the 5/3/23 with my granddaughter, grandson and his friend, only a few people there tonight but still had a great time and was really well looked after by Hassaanah and Maaria thank you lady's 😊

Excellent place. Went this morning, 2 adults and 3 kids (A 5 almost 6 year old, 7 and 9 year old). £8 each and we managed to play 5 games (might of even been 6). Played a mix of individual, and team games - some with a unique spin on them. Little overwhelming for the youngest at first and he was upset. The dark, people excitedly trying to hide etc. But once his dad explained and stayed with him he had a great time. Staff were good with him too. We know it isn't their job to look after upset kids but finding suitable days out for 3 mixed age kids isn't always easy. By the end he was asking to come back. The eldest two had no issues and loved it from the get go. We will all definitely be back.

Booked in for a birthday party for a 14 Yr old boy. The whole group loved it. Staff were friendly and explained everything to the kids really well. My son wants to go back ASAP. It can be tricky to find but the entrance is through an archway in the building so look for the big building with an archway opening.

The Underground, located in the heart of Bradford, has quickly become a popular hotspot for music enthusiasts since its launch in 2016. This multi-genre venue is committed to making music accessible to the local community and has hosted renowned acts such as The Wombats and Maverick Sabre. Embracing a quirky London Underground theme, it offers a diverse lineup of musical performances across various genres. Additionally, it provides a supportive platform for emerging musicians to hone their skills.
The Bradford Underground is an amazing local music venue. It is by far my favourite place to go to catch live music. The atmosphere is always incredible, and the staff is friendly and very welcoming. I love coming here to watch my mates bands play and to discover new local bands. The music scene here is truly one-of-a-kind, and I always leave feeling inspired and energized. I would love to see even bigger artists come to play at The Bradford Underground. Imagine seeing a band like Ice Nine Kills or The Vamps perform in such an intimate setting! It would be an The Bradford Underground is definitely my go-to spot for live music, and you will catch me here as usual! I highly recommend this venue to anyone who loves discovering new music and experiencing the magic of live performances. Thank you, The Bradford Underground, for always delivering an incredible night of music and memories.unforgettable experience. Regardless of who is playing, I know that The Bradford Underground will always deliver an amazing night of live music. Thank you to the staff and everyone who makes this venue such a special place. I also want to give a huge shoutout to Nigel Booth and the in-house team at The Bradford Underground. They always go above and beyond to ensure that everyone has an amazing time at the venue. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the music scene in Bradford! Lastly, I love what they've done with the top part of the venue, where they've created a bar called The Platform Bar. It's a great place to grab a drink and hang out with friends before the gig. The decor is amazing, with band posters and merch on the wall that really add to the atmosphere of the venue. Thank you to The Bradford Underground for always finding ways to make the experience even better! :)

A great gig venue, plenty of space and nice staff. Very casual, dive bar/rock bar vibes which are really authentic for the music scene. Really good for finding new bands/artists and making friends, dancing and hanging out. The only downsides are that the drinks are a bit expensive for a dive bar, and the toilets for both genders need sorting out. Apart from that it's wonderful!
Bex M — Google review
Great venue and easy to locate but late opening for concert and stood in the cold. Staff seemed confused and slow like it was their first night there. Despite being first in the toilets were a mess. No soap or hand dryers so not hygienic at all. Drink prices reasonable.

VR City is a large, dedicated arcade which offers gamers a huge catalogue of games to play as well as a whole range of immersive experiences. It is one of the most popular places to go in Yorkshire and is definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of video gaming.
Had a great time at VR City with a group of 12 friends! The venue is good, equipment is great, and the staff were fantastic. Special shoutout to the two guys who helped us – they made everything easy and fun. The games were really cool, but Formula X was definitely a standout. Highly recommend for a great VR experience!
Sikander M — Google review
Went here couple of weeks ago and it's difficult to give a good review, firstly it took 15 minutes or so to set up the stations, had to try 3 different station before they could get it working, even when it was working the screen went blank on three or four occasions. For the money you pay, I expect a much better experience hence the rating. Once everything was working smoothly the games are quite enjoyable To their credit they venue did give back the loss time and we would probably try VR again but unlikely to try this Venue again. Hopefully the experience could be better for others.

Had a great time at VR city. Loads of games to choose from which are all interactive! My favourite was the zombie one! 😂 customer service was brilliant as we were welcomed by a lovely lady called Nyla! 👍 they also have a real life car simulator which is so surreal its unreal! 🤯 Price was decent seen as we could split the time between ourselves! All in all a great place and highly recommend 👍😁
Mohammad A — Google review
To be honest I am not much of a gamer...in fact I hardly ever play any computer games at home...let alone pay to play one in a venue BUT I have to say this experience was definitely worth doing and I am very glad I did! What an amazing concept done creatively by VR City and and an experience I will not forget either. The staff Mark, Hasan and Zee were absolutely great! Excellent friendly service with even a touch of humour and banter which added to the great experience. VR City have extensive selection of games suitable for everyone which anyone can enjoy (and even get addicted to). The VR experience feels so real whether you are racing in a car or walking the plank across the New York Skyline. I would definitely recommend coming to this place even just to experience the feeling of VR. I will be definitely coming back! Great games, great atmosphere and great service...what more could you want for a fun day/evening out with your friends/family. Cannot recommend it enough...Try it out guys! 👌

If you love VR gaming and racing, this place is for you. The racing rigs are epic. A fully immersive VR headset. Professional racing steering wheel with paddle shift for those that prefer manual with force feedback. Force feedback racing seat which throws you about with each bump in the road. The prices are really good too and the staff are amazing and really helpful.

Went on a Tuesday took my brother for his Birthday turned up a little early and we were only booking for night nothing switched on and took them around 30 mins to set up. Truthly massively disappointed with overall experience. Had continous system issues during races (screen wandering, or crashing) Swapped twice to a different simulator. Staff were super sympathetic gave us another race as an apology really friendly but the place lacks any life truthly. No competition or any sort of sport man feel to it just there it is off ya go. If it wasn't for my knowledge on forced feedback I would of probably snapped my wrist. Maybe a little training or demo just to start would of been nice. All in all I don't think I'll go back. Left feeling underwhelmed by the overall experience.

Film lovers, rejoice! Pictureville Cinema at the National Science and Media Museum has reopened its doors, just in time for National Cinema Day UK on August 31st. To celebrate this occasion, the cinema is offering tickets for only £3, allowing audiences to indulge in a fantastic lineup of films.
I have been to Pictureville cinema a few times now and every time has been great. The staff are welcoming, the chairs are comfortable. The red curtains are iconic and it has a great atmosphere compared to a regular cinema. The ticket prices are reasonable and well worth a visit! There is parking close by, we paid £3 for 2 hours. Overall, highly recommend Pictureville.

Absolutely my favourite cinema! Excellent projection and sound. Easy to book specific seats online or in person and very good prices. Great seats - always a good audience and atmosphere too. Comfy bar with hot and cold drinks and snacks. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Clean and tidy throughout. Plus it's the world's only Cinerama screen! World class events often hosted here.

Saw Lord of the Rings Extended Editions triple showing overnight. Organisers were obviously very enthusiastic and loving showing people what they have. Admittedly this is not part of a normal experience so.... Good bar, snacks and drinks range. Cinema is amazing, comfy, enough leg room, and no visual obstruction. If I was comfy and happy for 12 hours then a normal film will be amazing. 🤣

Myrtle Park, located in the heart of Bingley, offers a variety of activities for visitors. Families can enjoy the skate ramp, play areas, and an aviary with entertaining Cockatiel birds. The park is also popular for dog walks, with lower fields by the river providing ample space for exercise. Additionally, there are a playground for kids and a bowling green, as well as a charming cafe that extends a warm welcome to all.
Myrtle Park is a great place to bring dog. Down by the river is quiet and he loves to swim after the ball. There’s a playground and tea room at the top end. Fun place to bring kids.

Nice area good open spaces to picnic and chill. Has a couple of playgrounds that are ok not that big and a bit busy so had to wait to get on things. There’s a bowling green and cafe and ice cream shop there. The ice cream is really nice. They had a festival on when we went so there was an animal petting zoo and various other attractions in and around.
Leon D — Google review
Our toddler enjoyed the experience, play equipment, looking at birds in the aviary (I felt queasy at captive birds in such a bare concrete set up). Ornate war memorial with bedding plants. There's what looks to be a well appointed cafe and there was live music in the bandstand on a Wednesday when we went (small combo singing and playing amplified guitars etc) This seemed to be appreciated by a small audience using the seating provided. No car park, paid-for small car public park off the approach to the Town Hall. I wouldn't make a point of going again as it's not local to me, but it would be a nice green space for Bingley residents.
BEVERLEY T — Google review
I really enjoyed going to this park, there's something for everyone. Nice therapeutic walks, clean rivers, clean children's park abd a cafe. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of dogs running around without their owners and coming to our picnic table and sniffing our delicious food. My children were alittle intimidated by big dogs. I met many people that live near the park and they were really friendly.

Lovely park and paths to walk around. A couple of tree stumps have been carved and look really pretty.

This one of our favorite places for a dog walk. You can park close by and take advantage of the lower fields by the river to get some exercise with the pooch. There's a playground for the kids. There's a little cafe and a bowling green, and a formal garden. So something for everyone, and plenty of little spots to discover.

The cafe also features art for sale on its walls and offers various artsy activities for visitors to engage in. It's a down-to-earth place with great coffee, excellent egg dishes, and a range of creative workshops to explore.
This place is so much nicer than the pretentious cafe over the road that asked us on spec if we had reservations! Delusions of grandeur methinks. In contrast the Craft House is very grounded. Great coffee, and they do lots of artsy activities. Excellent egg dishes. End report.

Lovely food from an excellent menu. Attentive and friendly staff. Just wish they had a better herb teas selection, no camomile, which is a good option for those wishing to avoid both caffeine and tannins. Very busy today so very noisy but a very good place to meet and eat.

Fantastic quality food, with a talented chief & friendly staff. Lots of loyal regulars too as evidence of this. Regular turnover of art created by a local artist that's for sale on the walls. Promoter of Art practice through creative workshops. Busy most of the time which is further proof of how good this place is. Most important for me is that it is dog friendly and caring staff who get to know you by name. Accessible entrance and toilet which is always clean. A lovely place for coffee, breakfast or lunch.

Definitely not a WiFi a cafe as advertised. This afternoon i attended the cafe with the intent of using the WiFi, after spending time within your cafe and purchasing a coffee to work from here I kindly asked why the WiFi was not working and was met with 'it's temperamental' and that it is in a bad area, which isn't factual as I live within Bingley Town centre and my WiFi works fine. This is just pure laziness by the manager and perhaps owner. The attitude of one member of staff was great ( younger female 20s ), but the same cannot be said for the manager of the cafe and the older female working behind the till who attempted to try and palm this matter off. I had to leave as a result of this was met with rude, argumentative comments that are not appreciated from the older female member of staff working and no acknowledgement from the manager on this matter, as she was too busy chatting to another customer. Perhaps if you'd like an argument attend this cafe and definitely do not try ask why the Wifi is not working.

This is the park I grew up playing in. It's changed over the years but it's still a lovely lark to walk around. They have an improved play area for kids, with a bicycle path course. Its lush & green with several entrances & exits for use. You can see remnants of the last, including the stone steps near the main entrance where the glass house used to be. It houses The Lodge cafe at the main entrance, so once the kids have played, or you've had your morning constitution you can pop in for a coffee. Well worth a visit & walk with nature.

This indoor playground in Bradford is jam-packed with activities for the whole family to enjoy, from trampoline jumping to VR gaming.
This evening, we took a small group of children to Airobounce for their Christmas treat, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The children had an amazing time, and the owner went above and beyond by allowing them to stay a little longer as a special treat. The owner and staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming throughout our visit. The facilities are top-notch, and the entire place is spotlessly clean, which is so important. Having worked with children for over 10 years and visited countless play zones, I can confidently say that Airobounce stands out as one of the best and friendliest we’ve ever been to. Highly recommended!

We decided to go try Airobounce to see what we thought as the other trampoline parks were hard to get to. Glad to say we were not disappointed, it was a huge hit with my 9 year old and his friend. We've been back every week for the last 5 weeks as a Friday night treat and will continue to return, my 15 year old also loves it. I've recommended to several friends and family members who've taken along all their children and been happy to return. It's a big spacious place with lots of room as well as trampolines there are inflatables and games you can pay a littpe extra to play. It's very clean and staff are really friendly

Amazing place. £10 per child to get in, non-bouncers are free to just watch. Special socks are £1.50 but you keep these to use on future visits. I felt it was worth the money as there are trampolines, inflatable play area with slide, mini assault course, gladiator game, seperate safe space for younger children and cafe so plenty to do.x

I took my son to Airobounce Trampoline Park in Bradford UK. This place has many things for kids to do and I am very gald I took my son here. We have a similar place called urban air back in America but this had many other options that you can do. 1. Go-Kart Riding 2. Trampoline 3. Laser tag second floor with a big party 4. Ice hockey and pool tables 5. Mini golf indoor 6. Cafe for snacks and drinks and candy Many more but overall very nice place to visit at least. The owner and staff members were very kind to us and very helpful when asking to do something. I had my little 3rd birthday party on the12 July , all the staff were amazing, but one particular staff Hanna was our host for the birthday party she really looked after us, very welcoming and had very good management skills, she was on top of everything and really made us feel like she cared, she is an amazing asset to the business, she ran our party very smoothly, all the invited kids had a good time playing . We couldn't be happier with the service we have been provided. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Thank you for an amazing service. We will definitely be returning to this amazing, clean place and highly recommending it to friends and families.

I’ve booked a party last minute. Booked on Saturday for the next Tuesday. Jess The manager was lovely! Took the time to explain the party packages, and took the time to double reassure me. (because I have anxiety and overthink everything) booked the dinosaur theme my boys loved it! Comes with dinosaurs turkey nuggets. Lots of food! I didn’t realise how much food is included! The day of the party! I’ve booked the party starting from 5 till 6:30pm and last minute I had issues with my car + traffic and ended up getting there half an hour late. The manage managed the situation amazingly!!!! She started the party from 5:30pm and because there was not party afterwards they didn’t even rushed us! Party nearly finished at 7:30pm. (1 hour in the inflatable and the rest of the time in the birthday room) The kids had an amazing time!!! I had the golden package and I got it cheaper because it was on week day. Paid nearly 270 pounds for 16 kids. With all included. They decorated and made the time the best!! Jess the manager and Pria made the experience enjoyable. There was inconvenience because my friend made home made food to share with the adults guests however this was not possible due an allergies policy which is understandable and it was my fault as I assumed it was ok to bring it. However they allowed us to bring chicken and chips from a local take away which was a big thing so the adults could have food as well. Nothing more to say than Thank you Funzy for the enjoyable experience. Thank you Jess and Pria! Xxx

I had a great experience at the parks cafe thanks to Victoria, who served us with such care and efficiency. She brought out our pizzas and drinks at just the right times, and everything tasted absolutely delicious — fresh and full of flavour. What stood out even more was how friendly and attentive she was. Victoria took the time to chat with us, making the whole experience feel really warm and personal. It’s rare to find service that’s both fast and genuinely thoughtful. Thank you, Victoria, for making our visit so enjoyable!

Jumparooz Trampoline and Inflatable Park is an exhilarating destination for families looking to unleash their energy! With a variety of activities including open jump access to trampolines, wall climbing, a foam pit, Ninja Assault Course, and Gladiator Battle Beam, there's something for everyone. They even offer special toddler sessions for the little ones. Recently, I celebrated my daughter's birthday here with her friends, and it was an absolute hit!
Took the kids here on new years eve Bit annoying that you have to buy their socks. Common sense should prevail here for me, have you got socks with grip on from ANY venue? If you have you can go in. They will only let you use their socks. The cafe upstairs is reasonable, the lockers aren't the best. Most weren't working when we went and I don't trust the ones that do work.
The S — Google review
Excellent place for the kids. It's just that the session time is little just 1 hour.
Saad K — Google review
Took my 9 year old daughter here for her birthday party and she absolutely loved it!!!! :))) She took 9 of her friends and the party room was booked for 10, on the day 14 children actually turned up as siblings came as well. Jumperooz accommodated everyone in their stride, we got a host that was our contact point for all questions and she was the BEST, party food and juice was where she said it would be when she said, and when we had a question she was able to answer it straight away. All the adults watched the kids jump from the viewing gallery in the cafe upstairs, the service up there was good and the range of things they sold was what you would expect :)) We'd been once before and used the lockers, although the one we used was a little fiddly, it did it's job. The jump arena had plenty of trampolines for everyone, an inflatable area with slides, a climbing area with foam pit, and everyone's favourite a massive air bag that they all loved jumping into. The food was exactly as described, hot dogs, pop corn, pizza, cakes etc, and a vegetarian option. No complaints on the day at all, would happily recommend.
Gavin P — Google review
Absolutely terrible experience – avoid this place at all costs! The staff were shockingly rude from the moment we arrived. They tried to rip us off by forcing us to buy their socks, even though we already had perfectly good grip socks from another soft play. Talk about a money grab! The worst part? After only 2 hours, they kicked my wife and son out and refused to let them even wait inside, despite their own Google listing saying they close at 9pm – there was still an hour left! Imagine being thrown out with a child into a rough area outside, just because the staff couldn’t be bothered. This place is overpriced, unfriendly, and has zero respect for families. Honestly one of the worst businesses I’ve ever come across. Don’t waste your money or your time here.
Amr E — Google review
My daughter reviewed it as 5-star play area. She liked her time there. Reasonable price for a 2-hour session, considering the Yorkshire area.
Dr. E — Google review
Kids absolutely loved it, good selection of refreshments. One criticism is the Coffee Shop Air Conditioning, it is freezing. Asked for this to be turned down but the manager this has been done due to the kids coming back hot after using the trampoline. For parents waiting not pleasant and most of the time I was clock watching. If you are going make sure to take a thick coat.

I had my daughter’s birthday party here and was a great service provided. There was lots of food and great choice. Slushes waiting for the kids when they finish bouncing which was perfect to cool them down. Very friendly staff. Overall she had a great time thank you

Fantastic venue! Places to sit, whilst still giving a spacious area for those who want to be stood up with the bands. Great staff, and fairly priced drinks. Their decent house brews are £4 a pint, so they can not be knocked.

My visit was 5years ago, just updating my reviews, or those that didn't get a review at the time. This was beautifully decorated inside, soul posters and new lighting and furnishings when I visited. It was quiet at around 7-8pm and also the Tuesday night before the covid lock down of '2020' so the last pub I was ever visited. It's been 5 years so not sure at this time 'may2025' if its still open. However it was an enjoyable evening when I was there.

Absolutely loved it, the only major downside to here is there is no disability access of any kind (as far as I'm aware they are working on raising the money to be able to make the building disability accessible) an there is alot of stairs. There are stairs into the building,up to the auditorium ( the place we all sit and watch), and down to the bar area and back up, there is a turn in the stairs to the auditorium where it's easy to rest if you need a break. I had to have a break health reasons and mobility issues :( But other than that this place is awesome! I watched the wizard of Oz recently and it was hilarious everyone I went with also loved it.
Jade _ — Google review
Absolutely terrible. The theatre is up a grotty back street where I would be scared to walk alone. The place is a dump, the bar area has no floor covering, it's like a dungeon, battered old broken furniture, dingy, scruffy and smelly. The whole place is dated and scruffy, it was freezing cold and the seats were horrendous. The stage performance was dire, terrible acting and singing, I know it was a panto but my god is was terrible. Having said all that credit where credit is due, the staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the theatre. The added photo is in the dungeon they call the bar. Unfortunately I couldn't take more photos as I was asked not to. Never again!

We just had a birthday party here for my 12 yo, hosted by Nikki and Steve for exclusive 2 hrs use. I booked and paid my £50 deposit over the phone last month which was a mildly distracting task as multiple conversations were being held while I was on the line (which we have all done tbh). However, the team were super attentive, friendly, chatty, patient and helpful throughout the party. They ensured that all the kids had access to the games they wanted to play, that the headsets were rotated regularly and that the birthday child would have ample VR access. It's been great for people like us who are not regular VR players as we only needed a taster of the VR experience. They're so friendly and embracing here I'm certain they also provide well for hardcore gamers too. There's no proper food provision, but they are super flexible for you to make food arrangements (delivery, self catering, byob etc) with prior notice. My other half is thrilled to discover this place so close to home and is already planning to bring colleagues for a teamwork activity day. Finding the entrance to the venue can be tricky if you're following Google maps directions. Make sure you drive around the mill and right into the cul-de-sac car park. The entrance will be on the building to your left - maybe even behind your left shoulder.

The best live music venue in Yorkshire! Excellent music of every genre but always top class. Great atmosphere, large stage & great sound system, good bar prices. We are so lucky to have The Live Room in Saltaire .

A really friendly venue, reasonably priced and with a good choice of beer. Sound quality is very good. Plenty of cheap and well lit parking nearby. It’s almost adjacent to Salts Mill and there are lots of places to eat or drink nearby before or after the concert.

The Live Room is an excellent small venue for folk, roots and acoustic music from around the world. It run by a lovely couple who really know their music. Part of the Caroline Social Club in Saltaire. Don't let the appearance of the building outside put you off, the welcome inside is genuinely warm and the beer is good.

Set in Yorkshire, this venue features unique battlegrounds where players can engage in urban warfare scenarios. Guests have the opportunity to board a Chinook helicopter as mercenary fighters or join rebel forces on missions to rescue hostages. Fantastic party for my 11 year old son. All the kids loved the laser tag and party food. They were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended 🤩

Absolutely amazing! The kids loved every minute at Lazer Mania Bradford and didn’t want to leave. There was plenty of food and the owner was brilliant, answering all my questions both during booking and on the day. Adam, who was working, went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. A few of our party guests were late, but he was so understanding and accommodating. I honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars! Booking this venue for my son’s 9th birthday was the best decision – in his own words, it was “the best party and venue ever.” Highly recommended!
Rehana Z — Google review
The kids had a fantastic time!!!! Great place for a party. Plenty of food, the hosts were great with the kids, we didn't have to do anything. My son said it's his best party ever! Thank you guys!
Elaine C — Google review
Had my kids Christmas do here with the Lasertag and Karting being offered. We had a mixture of ages partaking with everyone enjoying the games and races. Would definitely recommend
Nick G — Google review
Understaffed with staff who were rude had no clue what was going on we’re not helpful. No Marshall in there so didn’t know when someone hurt themselves and weren’t policing the game as they do at other places. No clear signage to get there and is not in the place where google says it is. The guns are made of cheap plastic and don’t shoot straight, the sights are inaccurate and you get hit randomly when no one shoots at you. Would give this place 0 stars but that isn’t possible. Don’t go here at all
Bob R — Google review
Brilliant place, the kids loved it. Much cleaner, and better equipment than all the other places we've been to around Bradford and Halifax.
Andrew B — Google review
My son had an amazing time celebrating his ninth birthday at laser mania with his friends. He sad it was the best party ever. The venue and staff were perfect from start to finish. Elliot our VIP party host was on hand to ensure the boys were having the most fun during their laser tag game upstairs. Downstairs Casey served up a yummy birthday buffet and kept the party flowing. Everyone had a fabulous time and I’m sure we’ll be back in the future. Can’t wait to try out the go karts next time.

However, some caution may be needed when leaving the premises at night due to the surrounding area.
Some parking on the streets outside the building, I was lucky and got a spot right outside the door. Its free to park after 6pm I think. I was attending a conference, the staff/volunteers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the conference was very interesting - with the bonus of free hot food! They even catered for me, being Vegan :D It was a bit daunting leaving the premises at night, lots of police cars and nightlife people but I was undisturbed.

Cineworld Nottingham is a fantastic multiplex cinema that showcases the latest international blockbusters in both 2D and 3D formats. Nestled within The Cornerhouse, this vibrant venue offers an array of dining options and an arcade, making it an ideal spot for entertainment before or after your movie. Whether you're on a romantic date or just hanging out with friends, there's something special about watching a thrilling film here—especially if you choose a scary one!
Just visited the new Vue in Nottingham and went to see Fantastic Four in their new EPIC screen. Honestly this is a good improvement over the old IMAX screen cineworld had. The old one was extremely loud and screechy and the projection was mid at best. The new screen though is crystal clear and the new Dolby audio system sounds much better at a good volume! The "reclining" seats are probably the worst part as they aren't electronic meaning you have to lean back with your weight which isn't as comfortable but is alright overall. The screen is 2.39:1 aspect ratio so perfect for the new action movies and fills your vision! The level of quality from this screen was nearing Dolby Vision level which is some of the best in the country so definitely worth seeing in this screen over the other standard screens! Overall the whole cinema is now refreshed from it's old tired look and is much better under Vue's intuition! P.S the Air-Con also works well now unlike other reviews said so they must have fixed it. Well done Vue excellent job 5/5
Simon C — Google review
Went to watch the new superman movie. The staff were friendly and helpful. The tickets were reasonably priced. We got 2 large cokes which were actually really big and cost 11 all together. The seats were comfortable and cheap we got the easy saver ones. The sound of the movie was crisp and good.
Josh B — Google review
Nice modern cinema with reclining chairs, close to the city centre. Shame they let a group of 6-8 young people in 30 minutes after the start time. One was speaking on their phone, then proceeded to kick/knock my chair on several occasions - even when they were told to stop. We end up leaving after 45 minutes and requested a refund.
Claire K — Google review
Staff chit chatting away behind the counter. Leaning and just not taking their jobs seriously. When movie started the lights were on for about 15 mins in. A few of us had to go out to ask them to turn it off. Third time lucky. It was HOT. A lot of us were using our hands as fans, again, a few of us had to ask for air conditioning. So unorganised. 2 stars for the comfortable seats
Jennifer A — Google review
I recently took my daughters to Vue Cinemas, as we’d been gifted a voucher. It’s not usually my first choice of cinema chain, mainly due to location, but we were happy to give it a try. Since you can’t use gift vouchers online, we bought our tickets in person. Luckily, our film had been out for a while, so we knew it wouldn’t be too busy. When purchasing our tickets, snacks, and drinks, the cashier kindly explained that there had been some network issues and the gift card might not go through. Unfortunately, it didn’t work on this occasion — but to our surprise, the cashier (and I believe the manager) generously gave us our cinema tickets for free and even let us keep the gift card for future use. This unexpected act of kindness really made our afternoon. The screen we were in was small but comfortable, with spacious seating. Overall, it was a lovely cinema trip with a wonderful surprise that went above and beyond what we expected.
Kim E — Google review
My first visit to the new Vue. Pros: Nice new seating, sound and picture quality were great. Air con is working after previous bad reviews. Cons: The lights were far too bright in the screen so we couldn’t see the trailers, and then they didn’t turn them off until 5 minutes into the film - Someone had to get up and go ask! Disappointed the seats are not reclining like other Vues are so was less relaxing. To say it’s new, wasn’t very clean - Chewing gum stuck in the drinks holders already.
Alex S — Google review
I’ll give them another go if they get their issues sorted but when I went on Saturday it was so uncomfortably hot, no air circulation at all, let alone air con. Toilets are still poor, with doors locks hanging off and wobbly seats. Chairs are more spacious but also somehow less comfortable with this odd recline you have to push with your back but no rest for your feet
Laura L — Google review
Fantastic cinema for a cheap price! We decided to try this instead of our regular cinema after remembering it had opened and it exceeded expectations. Comfy chairs and lots of room. Really helpful staff too

What a pleasant surprise my experience was, dining, having a few drinks and a little flutter. My friend invited me, and we took advantage of the steak deal. Rib eye steak and an espresso martini for £20, and a free £5 bet included. Really well cooked and tasty steak and a great cocktail. Very good reasonably priced red wine, all topped by excellent service. A few drinks and another free £5 when I took out membership to top off a fantastic evening. Highly recommend for dining, or a little flutter, just don't get carried away !

meetspaceVR, featuring Zero Latency, offers an immersive virtual reality experience where teams can engage in thrilling adventures such as battling zombies, solving puzzles, and exploring new realms. This high-tech team-building activity provides a next-level challenge that tests communication and coordination skills. Visitors have praised the welcoming and helpful staff who ensure a great time for all participants. The facility also offers additional amenities such as free lockers and video games to enjoy while waiting for sessions.
We came for a work afternoon out and had a fab time! Our game master Riley was fantastic, explained everything so well and made some great recommendations! Really spurred us along during the game and even took some fantastic videos on our phone! We can’t wait to come back! Thank you so very much! 😊
Libby M — Google review
We received a voucher for Zero Latency and were excited to try it out. Unfortunately, our initial attempts to redeem the voucher via email (as instructed) went unanswered, despite sending three messages. Eventually, we decided to visit in person and were able to book a session for the following week. When we asked about the available VR experiences, the staff member mentioned a zombie-themed game, which sounded fun—so we chose that. On the day, our session was delayed by about 20–25 minutes, and we had to leave and return later. The venue itself is very underwhelming; a few simple decorative improvements to the interior could make it feel more welcoming. More importantly, the game we played turned out to be an escape room experience, not the zombie game we were expecting. Escape rooms aren’t our thing, so this was disappointing. What impacted the experience most, though, was the lack of immersion. During the game, other staff members repeatedly entered the area and had casual conversations—including swearing—with the staff member assisting us. Even with the VR headset on, the voices were very audible and distracting. For a business focused on immersive experiences, this really took us out of the moment. We appreciate the concept and can see the potential, but unfortunately, our visit didn’t meet expectations. With some attention to communication, environment, and customer experience, this could be a much more enjoyable outing.
SH — Google review
One of the best VR experiences we’ve ever had! We went to Zero Latency in Nottingham and played Space Marine as a family of four (two adults and two teens). It was a 30-minute game, and honestly, we all loved it. The setup was smooth, the staff were great, and the game itself was fast-paced, exciting, and incredibly immersive. It felt like we were right in the middle of a space battle, working together as a team. The graphics were amazing, and everything ran super smoothly. It’s rare to find something that everyone genuinely enjoys, but this hit the mark. We walked out buzzing and already talking about when we’ll go back. Totally recommend it for families with teens or anyone looking for a unique, high-energy activity.
Jacqui W — Google review
Absolutely loved it! Surprise for my 60th birthday and we did 'outbreak'. I thought I'd be too scared to do it but survival mode kicked in! The staff were great at explaining things and putting you at ease. Highly recommend it.
Kate C — Google review
Terrible staff, with no idea what to do, ruined the experience. The whole way through the experience it sounded like someone was breathing heavily into the microphone. We must have mentioned this 100 times between us, gone through process of elimination with all players and came to the conclusion that it was the staff member. She swore repeatedly that her mic was muted and refused to do anything to solve the issue. We were being far too British about the problem and tried to ignore it at one point but it got worse. We had to stop the game and explain multiple times to explain what we believed the issue to be, she still refused to believe it was her. Right up until someone else came in to talk to her and we could hear their conversation. By that point, the immersion was completely broken and the time was almost up. They offered us a 50% discount on the next trip. Was not worth it at all. Completely useless.
Robert H — Google review
Took my two boys in for their first proper VR experience. Set up was great, some games to play while we waited. Brad (Plumbob) was amazing at encouraging them and talking them through the basics. Overall, really friendly set up and we will definately be back.

Very clean establishment, staff are very helpful and friendly. Some people may be put off by the entry price which is around £10 per child, however I feel this deters the riff raff. A Friend held a birthday party for her son here.. The place was nice and clean, and the staff were lovely and helpful. The children loved having the place to themselves.
Sham H — Google review
First of all, for our situation it merits 2 stars.. we have a 10 month old. If he was 4+ it would be 4/5 stars. Let me explain.. Cost £8 entry (over double of all softplay places we've visited this month) Toddler area not really well maintained. Electric/sensory amusements weren't working. Would be really disappointed if they did work because as there were 3 toddlers on site when we arrived they should have been turned on. Found the older children play area quite large with nice features (race track, footballl area) and the older children there seemed to be enjoying themselves. Also didn't order any food as menu was quite basic and didn't like the fact that the Jacket potato didn't come with anything other than a side salad as standard. Will probably come back when he's older (if still in business) and another review then.

Attended a kids birthday party. Was well managed, clean, nice and big for the kids to run and explore. Food and drink was available for purchase at competitive prices. Air conditioning was also in place but being a large warehouse building it kept cool besides. Some parking is available on site but there is more on available on the main road just outside for free.

What an amazing place this is! My son had a last minute birthday party here for his 5th birthday. The hosts (particularly Freddie) couldn’t be more accommodating. He diligently ran through the order of the party, dietary requirements and precautions taken to manage food allergies. Siblings, although not part of the party, were welcomed to play and tuck into left over party food. Honestly one of the most stress free parties I’ve ever experienced x
Nicola P — Google review
My little girl had the best birthday party here today. The host went over and above and all the kids had a great time.

I liked that the place was very clean, very spacious and great variety of obstacles, tunnels, slides etc. Staff are friendly and polite. Car parking might be a little limited, we went during the weekday so this wasn't an issue. Unfortunately all of the baby sensory area was not functioning, as well as the area with the balldrop and floating balls, barring one which was on it's last legs. Overall I feel it's one of the better sofplay places, it's just a shame the baby areas (which I went primarily for) wasn't working, even other children going in asked me why nothing was working - if they were it would feel more worth the higher cost of entry fee. If they were fixed I wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

ODEON Newark is a modern cinema that offers the latest blockbusters in both 2-D and 3-D formats, with special deals for families and students. While the staff is friendly and welcoming, some visitors have noted that the lift is often out of order, making it less accessible. The seats could use some improvement as they are described as stiff, but there are rooms where armrests can be lifted for a more comfortable experience.
Fantastic cinema, on-site parking that is cheap, cost £1.90 after 6pm and that’s gives you till midnight. located next to a McDonald’s and Costa Coffee, a fraction of the price of The Lincoln Odeon for some reason and the staff were very friendly and even came in at one point and told people to get off their phones because of the screen glare, brilliant
Toby H — Google review
We (mum and 15yrs old) travelled to Newark. 50 minutes round trip. We wanted to watch Gladiator II which has a 15 rating. We were refused tickets as apparently my child doesn't look 15 and we didn't have his passport with us. I wonder who takes that with them to the cinema? We got offered to speak to the manager. She just refused us with the same. They need i.d. If it was my kid and his friends, I could understand, maybe. But as a parent, I find it disgusting. Especially there was no "we are sorry about the process" or something similar. Just glee on both of their faces. (Cashier girl and manager). We certainly won't be coming back.
Sz — Google review
Possibly could do with a refit but ok. Would be better if they had their own carpark. Paid parking right outside though

Stutterbug refused us even with ID. My friend showed his passport (the passport pic was from a year ago) and the man displayed in the picture below said it “wasn’t recent enough”. Bearing in mind he looks the exact same. And the film was dead pool, if it was a horror film I would understand but no. He displayed sexism by letting my 2 male friends in without asking for ID bit ID checked us.

Always a great place. Limited parking unfortunately for the location otherwise 5 stars. Staff are always helpful, toilets are clean.

Seats usually pretty uncomfortable and other cinema goers usually noisy and ignorant, and nobody checks in on the film so folks could be dancing in the isles for all the staff know Not knocking the staff though, odeon group stopped caring about the experience a long time ago and instead want to charge £15 for a horrible hotdog or something other nasty food, I think they wanted to charge about £50 for a novelty popcorn bucket and drink for captain America which even the staff laughed at, the whole chain is a bit of a joke Will only go here now if desperate otherwise I'll take the journey to Nottingham for showcase or Lincoln for everyman
