The Emlen Physick Estate is a Victorian-era home turned museum that offers a glimpse into daily life in 1879. This four-acre property features a tearoom, the Carroll Gallery showcasing year-round art exhibits, and various tours to experience the old Victorian house at different times of day. Visitors can explore 15 restored rooms during a guided tour, gaining insight into Cape May's history and Victorian interiors.
This house is a gift to any Frank Furness and turn of the century and Victorian enthusiasts. The tour guides were truly stellar and added such value and depth to the experience. A highlight of our Cape May visit.

We pulled into park and were slightly early so went into the gift shop(once we figured out where it was) That's where we learned that the trolly light tour doesn't pick you up at the Estate but rather downtown where parking is like finding a needle in a haystack. I assumed based on it stating the tour is only 30 minutes and assuming we departed out of here, we'd be fine on time, although it was probably a tight timeframe. We had a 5:30-6pm Estate tour and a 6:30-7pm Light Trolly Ride. The estate tour was somewhat disappointing but I guess it's maybe because it wasn't what we thought. Estate was nicely decorated with lights & there was a decent size parking lot. We were told to wait outside in front of the building 15 minutes before but weren't really told what to do so everyone kind of just clustered up. It was a HUGE group. Seemed like staff were unprepared for the number of people and ended up splitting the group into two. There wasn't really much direction given and it was more of a drawn out re enactment as opposed to giving factual information about the estate. We only got through the first 2 rooms in a half hour, the amount of time they say the tour is. We had a trolly booked for 6:30 so we didn't stay longer. We would have liked to hear some factual background on the house, the way they lived, etc. I hate being "nit-picky" but unfortunately this was slightly different compared to tours we normally do. *Also, we only made it through 1 room in 30 minutes so expect this to be an hour or 2 tour. It is impressive how restored the estate is though and it's beautiful.

Love it. Loved Ken our tour guide too. Beautiful piece of history preserved. I highly recommend a tour.
Holli M — Google review
I absolutely lose my mind over historical gems such as the Physick Estate that have the entire house to peruse! The tour guide was fantastic & really went through every possible detail on the family & the history. Came with my friends on the first day of our CM vacation on a weekend. Pretty easy enough to purchase tickets ahead of time at the gift store. All in all a perfect way to spend a few hours learning about the local history! Highly recommend!!!!
Grace A — Google review
It was interesting and informative. I bought a combination ticket which includes a trolley tour. I recommend the combination.

The Emlen Physick Estate offers a great trip back into Cape May's Victorian History. Take the tour: Guides are knowledgeable and the property is beautiful.
Mary O — Google review
Very beautiful estate where we learned about Emlen Physick. We built a scarecrow, learned about magicians, and listened for ghosts
Lisa S — Google review
Excellent information and beautiful estate. We had a large tour group of about 10-11 people and there was not enough space in all the rooms for us to fit. The last ones in saw nothing until on the way out and then we were rushed to the next room. We came to see the room, the furniture the artwork. It's all lovely. We can forgo some of the story to drink in the details. Please let people really see the rooms, allow time for people wander a bit in them, and have smaller tour groups so there is enough room for everyone.

The Nature Center of Cape May is a nature preserve in Cape May County, New Jersey, USA. The 18-acre campus features a hands-on education center with exhibits on ecology and the natural history of the area. Outdoor activities include bird watching, hiking, and fishing.
It's a great place to go with kids. Small nature walk, auxiliary garage with fish tanks and touchable sea artifacts. The main building has a kitchen area for kids to play, a 2nd floor wrap around deck, and a third teir lookout deck. There are tanks with reptiles and 2 chinchillas, and puzzles for kids. We always take a trip with our kids here while we are in Cape May!
Nina C — Google review
Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Free use of binoculars & viewing balcony. Plenty of birds across the street next to the waterway
Sid D — Google review
My 8 year-old grandson loves this center! Inside there is a first floor gift shop, a second floor insect and small animal display and a third floor lookout. Outside there is a garden path complete with milkweed and monarch butterflies. The center runs different activities throughout the year. There is a kayak rental across the street from the bay for the seafarer. They also run a summer camp sponsored through the Audubon Society which is reasonably priced for children who love nature. My grandson looks forward to it every year!
Denise M — Google review
We stopped by for the Monarch Butterfly Festival and had a wonderful time. There was live music, food trucks, a variety of vendors, and a Monarch tagging demonstration. I also had the chance to reconnect with an old friend and author, Miles Nelson, at one of the tables. It was a great family friendly way to spend a few hours by the Cape May Harbor.
Tim J — Google review
We recently attended a monarch banding demo and learned so much. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful to our needs. The gift shop was excellent for gift purchases and they have an observation deck on top of the building.
Ann C — Google review
This was a stop on our rail bike ride, very beautiful place, glad to hear they are trying to bring back the monarch butterfly.

Great place to take the kids to on nonbeach day. A lot to learn and friendly and helpful staff. There is a little aquatic lab in the back with crabs, fish and horseshoe crabs and various other marine fossils.

Nestled in the picturesque Cape May Island, Willow Creek Winery & Farm is a charming destination offering tours and wine tastings amidst lush vineyards and gardens. The impressive 12,000 square foot wine tasting room with its outside brick patio and fireplace provides an inviting ambiance for visitors to savor the vineyard's wines. With a 50-acre vineyard benefiting from a unique climate, the winery produces exceptional red and white varietals.
Great food and good wine. Amazing scenery, and superbly pleasant staff. Had Dylan as our waiter and he was knowledgeable and courteous. The buffalo chicken dip is great, the willow whip is really fun and tasty. The best part was probably the setting; indoors and out the place is beautiful. The reds are nice, but a nice icy drink like the willow whip or sangria will be great with outdoor seating.
G M — Google review
What a great experience at Willow Creek Winery - it’s a beautiful place with really good food and wine. I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating - tons of photo ops. But it was Heather who went above and beyond to make sure the wine flights we selected were suited to our tastes and our experience exceeded expectations. She was spot on, also. We all enjoyed our picks! She was so friendly, knowledgeable (answered all of our questions about grapes, barrels and more) and patient (explaining and re-explaining)! A total hidden gem in Cape May. Will be back for sure and thanks Heather!
Megan N — Google review
This was my first time visiting a vineyard, and Willow Creek Winery & Farm truly impressed me. The drive in already felt special—passing through rows of beautiful vineyards before arriving at a full parking lot, showing how popular the place is. The winery offers two styles of service: one with table service and another where you order and then find your own seat. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, and I highly recommend going around 4–5 p.m. when the sunlight is soft and perfect for photos. Normally, I’m not a drinker, but I had to taste their wines, and the menu I tried was so delicious. Overall, I really loved the experience here—it’s not just about the wine, but also the relaxing vibe and the beautiful setting.
Emmy V — Google review
Heather was the best server with the best suggestions. Our visit was extremely pleasant and we will be coming back to try the combo platter and have the highly-recommended, signature willow whip again (our favorite for the day). The Wilde cock white bottle was good for crispy white wine lovers, and the wild cock prestige white bottle was even better if you are a Chardonnay lover.
Kelly M — Google review
First of all, this winery has some very good dry wines (I was more prepared for NJ sweet stuff, but their Malbec was truly exceptional); they have wonderful premises with lots of picturesque vines to stroll through; food menu is solid, with some great highlights: bacon wrapped scallops were incredibly flavorful, pulled pork sandwich juicy, and burger a perfectly balance mouthful (sadly, fries was very good, too!). Highly recommend to anyone in the area
Olga E — Google review
My group had a wonderful time at Willow Creek. We did the educational wine tasting and it was fantastic. Ryley was our wine educator and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the ambiance was stunning. I would highly recommend Willow creek for a day out and wine tasting. Ask for Ryley! Terry

Our stay at Willow Creek Winery was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and so peaceful. The property itself is stunninglush vineyards, beautiful scenery, and such a relaxing vibe. The wine tastings were incredible, with a great variety to choose from, and each one was delicious. The staff was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our stay on the property was just as wonderful. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully put together, giving us that perfect mix of comfort and charm. Waking up to the view of the vineyards felt like a dream. Everything was so well taken care of, and we truly felt like we could just unwind and enjoy ourselves. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a fun trip with friends, or just some time to relax and sip amazing wine, Willow Creek Winery is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to come back! 🍷🌿The Staff were so sweet and kind. Ps We LOVED THE SEASONAL WILLOW WHIP SOOOOO GOOD
Yarielis V — Google review
A lovely winery!! Tons of seating both indoor and outdoor so you don’t need to worry about having a reservation. They also have a fun Alice in wonderland theme going on. Perfect scenery and location, especially being so close to beach plum farm. The food was really good- one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I’ve had! Only complaint is completely my opinion and I’m probably being picky but the prosecco was SO sweet (too sweet for a prosecco) and a bit hard to put down. The drink prices in general are steep for what you get, the wine is decent, but not amazing (I also tried the white wine my husband ordered). I would still definitely go back since it’s a beautiful property, staff were pleasant and attentive and the food was delish. 5 stars all around because I didn’t try enough of their wine selection to have a reasonable opinion.

Cape May Stage is a professional Equity theater located in a small and intimate setting within a 19th-century church. It offers an array of plays and also provides dinner and show packages. Visitors can also enjoy the Ocean City Pops, the Cape May Jazz Festivals in both spring and fall, as well as the Cape May Music Festival featuring chamber groups, the Bay Atlantic Symphony, pianists, and more.
My wife and I attended the performance of “Vanities” last night. The three female actors were amazing. To have such amazing talent available to see in such a small setting is priceless. We really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend this show! Cheers to the actors! Great job!
Reid L — Google review
Last evening we saw Sexy Laundry and it was fantastic! The actors were amazing and the intimate venue created the perfect atmosphere for the performance. We will definitely see more performances at the Cape May Stage!
Robert G — Google review
Saw Dutch Masters here on October 8, 2025. The show was amazing - powerful, unexpected, kept us riveted! The performances were excellent. In this small but comfortable theater, there is not a bad seat in the house. It was our first time at the Cape May Stage despite visiting CM every year, but we are definitely going to make this a part of our itinerary in the future!
Diane B — Google review
Dutch Masters was amazing! The two actors were so talented! We knew nothing about the show and were blown away by it. It is thought provoking and concerned with current issues in today’s crazy world. The five of us are still discussing it and thinking about it two days after seeing it. If you can find a way, see this play. Cape May Stage is a treasure that never disappoints!
Fredi O — Google review
Saw "Dutch Masters" at Cape May Stage on 9/24/25. It is a play about an encounter of a Black and a White on the New York Subway and what ensues. The plot is well done, clever, and unpredictable. The acting was superb. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I saw “Sexy Laundry” at Cape May Stage on 7/30/25. The show was great and staff & facilities excellent! We see a production here every time ewe visit the Jersey Shore. Take one in - you won’t be disappointed!

Vanities on Sunday June 29. Very good performance. Made me smile, laugh, tear a little. Well presented. The Cape May Stage never disappoints. The theater is comfortable and all seats are great seats.

Experience the ultimate coastal getaway at Cape May Whale Watcher, where you can bask in the sun on pristine beaches and embark on thrilling whale-watching excursions. Indulge in wine tastings at picturesque wineries, such as Willow Creek Winery and Cape May Winery, or savor craft brews at Behr Brewing. For aquatic fun, head to Moreys Water Park for exhilarating rides and relaxing attractions.
My husband and I loved the Sunset Dolphin Watch! We got to see numerous dolphins and the captain pointed out many interesting landmarks, gave some Cape history, fun facts about ocean life in the area and really was fun to listen to. You could tell he loves the island and the water and knows it well. We were very happy with the cruise overall and would recommend to our friends. We would like to come back soon for the afternoon whale watch!
Meredith H — Google review
Lovely boat ride. Polite staff. We had small children on the boat and they worked hard to keep them safe. Unfortunately, the weather was so so, and it was difficult to stay outside. Also, while we saw several schools of dolphins, after two hours, the whales decided to stay hidden. I know it's a game of roulette, whether they will appear. Boat was clean. The snacks and drinks were a bit overpriced. A nice trip.
Meryl M — Google review
This was our third dolphin watching trip and the first sunset dolphin watch. As always, it never fails to disappoint! The dolphins were so close and the sunset was breathtaking! We also enjoy listening to the captain talk about dolphin facts as well as the history of Cape May. It's all very interesting.
Lisa M — Google review
Wonderful excursion! Website was user friendly. Instructions and directions were spot on. Vessel was well maintained. All staff and crew were friendly and helpful. The Captain’s commentary was informative and entertaining. All that AND multiple whale and dolphin sightings on an absolutely gorgeous October day. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Perfect Family Sunset Cruise Experience! We took the Cape May Whale Watcher sunset cruise as a family of five—with three kids ages [14, 12 & 5]—and it was a highlight of our trip! From the moment we boarded, the staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The boat was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor seating (which was great for our youngest who didn’t like the wind on her face). The best part? We saw so many dolphins! They swam right alongside the boat, and the kids were absolutely thrilled. The sunset views were stunning—Cape May from the water is something you don’t want to miss. We also really appreciated the complimentary hot dogs and pizza. It made it super easy to enjoy the ride without worrying about food before or after. This cruise is the perfect balance of relaxation for parents and excitement for kids. We would absolutely recommend this to any family visiting Cape May.
Kristen B — Google review
Today, my hubby and I celebrated our 17th anniversary on the Cape May Whale Watcher. I couldn’t give the experience a perfect 5 because we saw no whales but everything else made this a PERFECT 4. I’ll explain. When we arrived, highly visible crew people in red tee-shirts helped us park in a free parking lot. Then we went to the gift shop to get our boarding passes. The waiting area was a set of comfortable picnic tables with giant board games. Once we all boarded we were on our way. The captain made announcements that we mostly heard but an upgraded sound system could make it clearer. He spoke of the various marine life that was under the boat. The boat itself was very comfortable. There were ample indoor and outdoor seats. Hubby and I chose to sit outside. Shortly into our journey we encountered a pod of playful dolphins. They were frolicking in fun ways that delighted us. Like the captain said, they won’t pose for us but it was fun to be in community with them. Then the captain strove to find some whales for us to hang out with but I guess the whales chose to stay underwater when we went. It was a little disappointing but I appreciated the efforts made. I also loved just being out on the water. The crew was very capable and the ride was so smooth. I saw a few folks catching relaxing naps. Including my neighbor’s toddler. The water tends to lull folks. Hubby and I loved the trip and would definitely go again.
Kelli M — Google review
Thank God for the staff for holding the boat as we were a few minutes late. The boat was great with indoor and outdoor seating. There was out door seating with and without shading. Although we did not spot any whales we did see plenty of dolphin pods. The captain was funny, sassy and had plenty of knowledge of the aquatic life. We had a great time. There was also plenty of restrooms and food available for purchase on board.
Hope N — Google review
The whale watching tour was pretty good fun. The captian was a very good orator! He spent hours talking us through the history of Cape May and the buildings that were well over 150 years old. Who knew the history could be so interesting. The light house is a beautiful landmark with history of its own. No spoilers. Many many interesting factoids and we hadn't even gotten out of the cape. The dolphins were everywhere, bottlenose dolphins with their babies calves! The educational aspect from the captain was very inspiring. So many facts and delivered with a sincere passion. I mean it, this guys voice was perfect and moving during the entire trip. A lot of rare factoids about the family business and future endeavors. The prices were right. The ship was roomy and one could roam about as desired. They served beverages and alcohol in the ships bar. There was plenty of FREE pizza and hot dogs for the hungry traveler. As many as you wanted to eat. They even offered whole pizzas to go when the tour was finished. They rent binoculars but the dolphins were very close. The whales however were much farther away. A few whales came to the surface but were pretty far off. I would fully recommend this tour for your family even with little kids. Along with clean restrooms and friendly staff, this is a 5 star tour!

Embark on a Salt Marsh Safari with Skimmer Tours for an unforgettable eco-cruise through Cape May's pristine wetlands. Departing from South Jersey Marina or Wetlands Institute, the sleek skimmer glides across the reflective waters, offering stunning scenery and wildlife sightings. Cape May is a haven for migratory birds and boasts well-preserved Victorian buildings, making it feel like an open-air museum. The salt marshes offer miles of trails and breathtaking views for outdoor enthusiasts.
Captain Bill and first mate Harrison were exceptional tour guides for the marshland safari. Both were knowledgeable, with Captain Bill talking about the biology and types of birds we could anticipate and Harrison identifying the species of birds we saw along our travels. Beautiful day. Great friendly crew. I highly recommend this tour.

I’ve been on this Skimmer multiple times and every time it’s amazing. Captain Travis always ensures everyone on the boat is safe and prepared. He also has so many interesting facts about the Cape May region. He is able to spot and point out wildlife to people on the tour and really bring an appreciation for the Jersey Shore. I have brought both my children on this tour multiple times and they love it. His crew mates often have sea life on board (sea cucumbers, spider crabs, mollusks, sea urchins, etc) and have a “touch tank” for the kids. Captain Travis’ crew mates explain the sea creatures to the kids and really make it an enjoyable experience. If you’re down at the Jersey shore for the summer….definitely check out Captain Travis and the skimmer!!!

Wonderful experience on the skimmer! We were a big group of 15 with kids ranging from 8 years to 9 months. Captain Travis and guide Bob (both school teachers) were great at engaging with the kids, especially my 5 year old son. The highlight was definitely touching a horseshoe crab! Thanks for dealing with our family, Bob and Travis. :)

Shout of Praise & 100 % Recommended Experience if you're headed to Cape May, NJ Travis Davis and his Salt Marsh Safari on The Skimmer is one of the best experiences going down in Cape May, NJ. If you're headed down there or in the area, definitely take the time to get on board and have an awesome time! Me, my wife and in-laws took the Sunset Cruise back in July when we were there... you can take a few adult beverages, they serve up some charcuterie board snacks and it's a great few hours experience. Plus at that hour the tide was up and the setting sun makes the lighting and colors so awesome! Travis and his crew are so fun and knowledgable and you can tell how much they love the salt marsh wildlife and everything about it! It's so awesome for kids tooI We'll definitely come back again - its that good! Plus getting to hang with a high school buddy is always a blast! Thanks for a great time Travis!!

Such a fun experience. The scenery is beautiful and the guides are engaging and informative. Loved seeing all the different birds. The kids enjoyed as well.
Heather N — Google review
This was a great trip! We saw many ospreys and other water birds and got to hold some sea creatures. My 2 and 5 year old boys loved it. The guides were very informative and shared information the entire trip so it was also engaging for us the adults. We will come back again for other of their tours for sure!
Alison T — Google review
Amazing tour. We did the sunset tour (5.30-7.30). Saw a lot of birds and a dolphin. The whole experience was very relaxed and pleasant. Our guides were great and obviously knew a lot about the local birds. Very family and kid friendly. There were live animals (a horseshoe crab and other marine animals) on board and kids could touch/ hold them and learn about them. My daughter had a great time. Highly recommend!
Katja T — Google review
We had an absolutely amazing experience! We brought family from 2.5 years to in their 80s and everyone loved it. Our naturalist guide Sam taught us so much about the different species we saw and the kids loved the touch tank aspect at the end. We got to see dolphins too! The boat was nice and calm which was great for the little one. I can’t wait to go back to Cape May to try their other rides.

The city's wide beach is divided into 16 different sections, each named after nearby streets intersecting Beach Avenue.
This past July I got to experience Cape May for the very first time w group of friends for a week long vaca. The beach is absolute heaven though I will say because we stayed at the nearby Ohana Beach Resort we already had the day tags so did not have to deal with any of the purchasing. I love that those of us at the nearby hotels would set up the umbrellas early in the AM & lay claim to the spots closest to the water. This beach is large & though it def looks crowded it never felt it. There were singles, couples, families, lil babies, teenagers - you name it -- I saw it. But everyone is very respectful of one another, no loud music, no loud noise, great life guards - just a lovely peaceful beach where you can enjoy the water. Can't wait to go back!

Nice location, but overpriced and poorly managed. Cape May Beach has beautiful views, but the experience was disappointing overall. They charge for everything — entrance per person, beach chairs, umbrellas — and yet offer none of the basic amenities you’d expect. No toilets, no showers, nothing. For the price, you’d think they’d provide at least the essentials. Definitely not worth the cost.
Ayesha T — Google review
I don't mind paying, since there are lifeguards.... But some people charging at the entrance are rude. Plus there is no bathroom or any facilities... Bring cash, if you use QR code there's an additional $2 charge.

Very clean beach. Soft sand. Very relaxing. My mom and dad are from Brasil and they love it. They can't wait to spend the day here. Family friendly. $10.00 for day pass per adult. There are $40.00 season passes and weekly passes. Definitely worth it. I do the day passes.

We always love cape may. Beautiful. Big. Many times look out and see dolphins. People are not on top of each other. Nice shops. Nothing bad to say.
Mike S — Google review
Groomed beach with lifeguard requires $10 beach tag, includes restrooms with shower, promenade with view of Victorian hotels. Very warm water at this time includes some jellyfish and an array of crabs.
Marla M — Google review
The oldest beach community in the US. Clean quite, family 👪 friendly. The views are amazing and the residents take care of their community. The beach is well maintained and the access to the beach in the summer one must purchase a beach tag. It's worth the price. Great waves amazing sunsets. It's a little pricey but worth the trip

It's the best beach I've ever traveled to with family. Clean white fluffy sand with seating and umbrellas if you need it. Everything's within reach from food , bathrooms and ice cream

Discover the Harriet Tubman Museum of New Jersey, a newer attraction in Cape May that honors the life and work of the famous Underground Railroad conductor. Learn about Tubman's time in the town during the 1850s and her efforts to help enslaved individuals escape to freedom. The museum offers insight into her bravery and activism, making it a must-visit for those interested in American history.
Our family decided to “kill some time” before a Congress Hall Tour and wow! What a great way to do so. I never expected such an interactive tour from a tiny museum. What made this a great stop for our family? Ross! He taught us so much and engaged with both of my children making sure the visit was memorable. Ross’ natural candor for the Undergrand Railroad and Harriet Tubman’s personal life was impressive. I never knew how significant Cape May was for Black history. Do not miss out.

This is a small museum that packs a powerful punch. The front section on the history of African Americans in Cape May is informative, detailed and puts Cape May, New Jersey in its proper place as a town where black people could retain, rebuild and recreate their history and culture. The tour guide at the museum, Crystal, is an excellent performer, a knowledgeable educator, and a specialist in the storytelling of Harriet Tubman. She brings history alive by making you a part of it. So enjoy the show!

My museum bestie & I lucked out as we entered this beautiful gem of a museum thinking we would only be able to hang out for a short time -- well we walked right into the beginning of a tour that lasted well over an hour! I hate that I can't recall her name but she was fantastic at explaining the history & evolution of HT & all the others that were involved. She even offered to chat up with folks well after the museum close time had passed. I love my huge massive MET museum but can feel the history in these smaller places that NEED to remain open. So much history here -- bravo to all that helped to preserve this HT museum. Walked out nearly 90 mins later utterly in love!

Wonderful experience of learning much about American and New Jersey history. Appropriate for all age ranges. Glad we booked in advance as this was popular! I would definitely come again.
Laura E — Google review
Was very much looking forward to this location. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and it's a great place to learn. That being said I'd call it more of an education center than a true museum. Artifacts are limited to a collection of African masks and a doll collection, both of which are great, but actual materials from Tubman's time in Cape May and the Underground Railroad itself are not present. Additionally the majority of the historical events actually took place across the street. Definitely worth a visit but as a fan of Tubman as a historical figure, I let my imagination run wild with what might be seen at a stop on the Underground Railroad and it was more a place to gather and discuss history.

I visited the museum Friday 9/25/25. The lady at the desk was very nice. She told me during times there is a guided tour of the museum or you can tour the museum on your own. The museum is very very small, everything is on one floor. The information thats in the museum was interesting. They are expanding the museum to have a second floor.
Monica B — Google review
Take the guided tour with Cindy!! She was absolutely amazing! When I walked in I got lucky. The guided tour staring in just 20 minutes. The experience with Cindy as a guide moved me and inspired me in ways I did not expect. Cindy makes you learn about the remarkable life of Harriet Tubman in a very engaging way. Then if you ask her any question at all she answers with elaboration. This was such a meaningful way to spend an hour of my life ! If I had only visited the museum without the tour I wouldn’t have had such a profound experience.
SANDRA G — Google review
Don't expect a tour, or much about Tubman. . . So, we paid for a guided tour, as opposed to a self guided tour. Therefore, it was reasonable to expect that someone - presumably a guide - would take us on a tour of the house, and explain the history of the house and something about Harriet Tubman's life. There was no guide and no tour. At the start of the "tour", a large group of visitors was invited in to view some artifacts about the slave trade and the home. These were displayed in the front rooms of the home and were interesting and informative, though no one was present to add information or answer questions. This is where we were told to spend time while waiting for the "tour" to begin. At the start of the "tour", we were all brought into a room at the rear of the home. Once the seats were filled, it was standing room only for the rest of the group. We stood for over an hour listening to our "guide" talk about slavery, Cape May, and almost nothing at all about Harriet Tubman. In fact, because Tubman visited before the big fire in Cape May, very little is known about her activities there, or whether she ever actually stepped foot anywhere near this house. There were absolutely no visual aids or media used during the presentation, though there was a television hanging on the wall behind the speaker. It was borderline excruciating to stand in one spot to listen. Bottom line - this is NOT a guided tour, and has little to do with Harriet Tubman - and I paid a lot of money to find that out.

Fantastic place to be if you want to walk around and see all of the stores (most stores are handicapped accessible). There are places to eat, get some ice cream or candy, have a meal or just a snack. Coffee shop also. They have plenty places to sit and relax and enjoy the day or just people watch. There is a beach a little farther down the road where you can bring a chair and watch the sun set. There are numerous other great places to see while your there. I'm sorry but you can not have your dogs on the little area where all of the little shops are.

The foliage, plant life around the park, and the entire landscaping plus the architecture are all exquisite. They have wonderful musical performances during the evenings after 7 pm (19:00) in the summer. The one performer was an amazing unique folk/blues singer songwriter / storyteller. It’s a nice place to relax after walking around for awhile. Don’t forget to keep nature beautiful and clean up after yourselves, we all have to pitch in.

When visiting Cape May, don't miss the opportunity to embark on an ocean safari with your furry friend aboard the 90-foot-long American Star at the Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center. This center has been offering in-depth marine animal tours since 1987 and is dedicated to promoting conservation through research and education. On these cruises, you can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including seals, dolphins, and native birds.
We went on 5/30 for the 10am 2hr tour and it was a wonderful experience! We saw dolphins, osprey, a bald eagle, and the best part was seeing a humpback whale 🐋 The naturalist was very knowledgeable and the whole crew was so friendly. In addition to learning more about the wildlife we encountered, they also tell you about the local sights and history. I love that they are dog friendly too! Windy enjoyed the trip, happily sniffing the sea air and watching the dolphins. They are part of Whale SENSE so you know that it is also a safe and respectful experience for the marine animals too. It was such a great time. Thank you!

We had a great time on this boat tour. The crew were very informative. We saw many dolphins. I love these boat rides that take you out to the ocean and teach you about the marine life. You'll surely enjoy this boat ride. We did the 3 hour afternoon ride.

We had an amazing journey around the island! Between seeing a single dolphin before we even left the harbor, seeing a large pod of dolphins with all of the information that goes with them (courtesy of Director of Research Melissa L.), and the geographic information provided, this was an excursion that I did not know that I needed. I highly recommend you skip the other tours and go with Cape May whale watch and research center.

Our trip aboard The American Star was just awesome. What a great sunset cruise we had. Families, couples and singles would enjoy the relaxation of the ocean but also hearing from the naturalist about the various dolphins & birds. Amazing price, something to do while you’re visiting the Cape. A great time was had by both of us.

8.2.25• our first whale watch cruise• Today was amazing 👏 there were SO many dolphins with their babies 🥹 and one that was just born!! Baby dolphins are born with a dark coloration, often appearing almost black! Which I just learned 🙃 + jelly fish & a 10'+ giant manta ray jumped out of the water twice! No whales this time. We can't wait to do this adventure again! 🐋🐬🌊🐚🦞💦🦈 Fresh, clean, beautiful boat. Food, drinks, bathrooms & gift shop on board! Thank you, to the crew for an awesome & educational time! -Eric, Jessica, Aubrey & Roman 🌞

Very nice & knowledgeable staff. We were able to see dolphins & birds. Unfortunately we couldn't see whales during our trip (better luck next time). The staff conducted multiple informative sessions for kids onboard. They also showed the importance of keeping away ocean waste when we saw a couple of birthday balloons floating on the ocean surface & they collected it with their tools. Free parking onsite. Groupon purchase is cheaper than purchasing tickets via their website. Please call them & reserve with the redemption code from Groupon.

We had an amazing time. The company, the staff deserve 5 stars and no less The crew on board was polite, esp the guide was providing a running commentary about all important sights and buildings The girls in the booth were super sweet and polite Our ticket included pizza & hot dog , but the boat canteen/Cafe charged everybody 2$ for it Us too I told the girls while on the boat, they immediately solved it by giving us good refund The bad part: the man running the food kiosk CALLED me while I was sitting on upper deck, he yelled - YOURE LYING!! I DIDNT CHARGE YOU , COMPLETE LIE. No no no no you lie! I told him- keep the money it wasn't about 2$ anyways and for threw people we just "bought" one pizza slice We didnt need the money or food The ship company are more than generous and cooperative, the cafe person was horribly rude But the sunset, the dolphins, the view made up more than for it Will definitely come back

One of the best ways to explore this historic shore town is by taking a trolley tour through Cape May MAC.
To the best of my knowledge, Cape May is the only place growing a Poet-Tree. It is ripe with fruit. If you wish to experience wonder and joy, see for yourself. Delightfully unexpected surprises await thanks to Cape May MAC’s well curated offerings.

We hopped on around 6:15 for our 6:30 Holiday Lights Trolly Ride. They took us up and down the main streets of town, showing off all the beautifully decorated houses. The christmas lights were absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide was great. She was wonderful at knowing the balance between keeping it fun, yet factual and interesting. They do have a microphone so you should be able to hear her from any part of the trolly. The trolly itself was brand new and probably sat about 30/35 or so people, although we only had about 20. The seats were spacious and comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience. We'd be interested in doing another type of trolly tour at some point. We've gone on many and this one has been the best. The driver was great, extremely safe, and very hardworking. (Someone threw up before leaving for the tour so he had to clean it all up as they ran out of the bus and weren't seen again)

We decided to devote one day to being 'touristy' in CM & spent a Sunday in July checking out all the local places. This trolley tour did not disappoint at all! The guide was extremely knowledgeable & kudos to the driver, CM is rich in history & there were plenty of great stories told. We took the basic show us all around CM tour & tell us about the homes & characters that lived here many moons ago. The homes are really gorgeous to look at & since this was only day 2 of our vaca we could appreciate it all the more later on during the week while walking. A thoroughly enjoyable way to learn the history of CM.

We went on the spirits and oddities tour tonight- our guide and driver were great but we were alittle disappointed at the tour overall. It was just barely 30 minutes for $40 for 2 riders. We also felt that the information shared could be spookier or more in depth about some oddities that happened in the Victorian era or cape may in general.

It was a great experience to see the inside of the homes during the Candlelight Home Tours. First time for us. Trolley shuttles are open air, so just a little cold last night. Make sure you dress warm. Had a nice time. Busy, a lot of people, so start on time. Just a few shots from the evening we enjoyed. Thank you, Cape May MAC and those that opened their homes to us visitors! Each with it's own unique atmosphere and story which they were happy to share with us all.

I attended the Cape May murder mystery at the Chalfonte hotel last night. What an incredible disappointment in every way. The show was incredibly childish and amateurish. It was a complete missed opportunity, not to engage the audience. It wasn’t a murder mystery at all. After a too long Underwhelming performance, the characters came out and revealed who committed the murder. And then, it was just over. So anticlimactic. The food was just OK and the service staff really needs to learn what Customer service means. Someone at our table asked to switch entrées and was given a cold “NO”, without any explanation given. All this for $75- An incredible rip off. Never again

The museum offers exhibits spanning from Native American artifacts to Victorian times, providing an insightful perspective on Cape May's history.

This is the third production we’ve seen; we’ve never been disappointed. My one caveat though, if you have a bad back or not much padding, bring a pillow, or two; those church pews can be murder. If you're looking for an unforgettable fishing adventure, look no further than Miss Chris Fishing in Cape May. For decades, this beloved charter has been offering both half-day and full-day excursions that cater to everyone from seasoned anglers to families with kids. The crew, including the captain and deckhands like John, Christian, Bob, and TJ, are known for their exceptional service and dedication to ensuring a great experience on the water.
With gratitude I write as my 1 year anniversary of my first trip on the Miss Chris approaches on July 13th. My late husband Steve passed May 2024, he was a Navy Veteran, who absolutely loved fishing and being on the water, with the water. Captain and crew assisted our burial at sea. An emotional experience for everyone on board. I am grateful full of memories and will return to fish. They were kind enough to give the exact location in nautical terms.
Laura S — Google review
The charter ride was rough, really choppy 8 miles out. Stuff knocking off shelves and people almost getting sick. The captain should have had the boat face the waves at an angle so the boat could cut the waves better while stopping for fishing. Only a few baby black sea bass were caught, which is fine. Can't guarantee fish being caught. The bait was cut too small and the chunk Mackerel wasn't good quality, very small probably previously frozen. If you're going to bottom fish, you really need to have a whole chunk of it. The tiny pieces fall off the hook. The staff wasn't friendly, very stand offish. Wouldn't show the inexperienced people some tips on how to fish. I wouldn't go on this charter again. This was my first time going on a charter, but I've been boating my entire life.
Melissa W — Google review
Awesome captin trying to find the fish to catch! Great deck hands Dominic and Hayden. They do an awesome job helping everyone out! Even when your like me sick on the boat they are there to make sure your okay! Always trying to help you feel better and check on you to make sure your alright. They dont control the weather so they can't control how choppy the water will be that day! Highly recommend if you want to have a good time to go fishing. Boat is always clean and its worth the time out on the water!

Today was a fun day on the Miss Chris. We had great weather. Sun shine but not too hot. I caught 6 fish unfortunately they were not keepers. The captain and staff on the boat were great. Thank you. Great fishing boat! Caught 3 fish. Had a whole lot of fun! I recommend Miss Chris's Deep Sea Fishing.
Jay V — Google review
I can't possibly suggest you go on this. The Cape May-Lewis Ferry is cheaper, calmer, and much nicer if you are looking to just get out on the water. If you are looking to catch fish, dont look here. 4 hours using their equipment and trusting their crew to know where to go and I didn't even get a nibble. Out of 30 people we caught about 10 fish and none of them were keepers. Either their equipment and bait were not what was needed to catch fish or their expertise is faulty and they don't have the means to locate keepers. Do something else with your day.
Adam B — Google review
We had a good boat experience but there was but just one keeper on the entire boat, a 12" sea bass. Not one fluke/flounder hooked. Also they upcharge you for fuel and convenience fee, at a time when fuel is low, just another way to dig deeper.

Highly recommend this experience. It is a walking tour, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Stops are around 5 different places. The food you get to taste isn't an entire meal each stop, but by the end of it is equivalent to a light brunch. I've only been to the WCM tour, but there is also a CM tour with different stops. Tour guide highly knowledgeable of the area as well as the food items. You are provided with discounts to go back and buy whatever you like at the end of the tour.

The Cape May Lighthouse, built in 1859, offers stunning panoramic views from its top and features an oil house-turned-museum with a gift shop. Visitors can also enjoy various activities nearby such as golfing, dining at fine restaurants, boating, kayaking, saltwater fishing, crabbing, dolphin and whale watching, sightseeing cruises and more. Additionally, the area is home to several attractions including the Cape May Zoo and Wildwood's famous boardwalks.
We didn't climb the lighthouse this time because I believe we did in the past. The fee to climb is $12 per person (adult). You can see the area near the lighthouse for free. They have a little garden type of place and a boat which used to be a rescue boat back in time. It's a beautiful place, very well maintained. There are 2 accesses to the ocean nearby, but that's not for swimming. High free parking lot. A food truck can be found during the summer season in the parking lot. I recommend visiting the Cape May lighthouse. I love climbing them. Lighthouses have individual histories. It's a nice place. Cape May, New Jersey USA 🇺🇸

We visited on 8/20/2025. Climbed with 5 boys aged 3-7 years old and they had a great time. The stairs inside are pretty wide and there are stopping points by the windows, as you go up/down, to rest or let others pass by. The views at the top are definitely worth it!
Laura L — Google review
Must see attraction. Beautifully preserved site. Managed by super polite people. The climb is worth the scene from above. Also must visit the souvenir shop, the older gentleman is so adorable. The museum alongside is very interesting. Hike on path trails and time your visit with sunset to watch from the beach. It's breathtaking Plenty of parking available

The Cape May Lighthouse is such a stunning spot! Even without going up to the top, the surroundings alone are worth the visit. The area around the lighthouse is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm — perfect for a relaxing walk and to take in the scenery. It’s a great place to enjoy nature, history, and the coastal views all at once. Definitely a highlight in Cape May!

Fun place. You can go up inside the lighthouse too. It was free for us to visit. It was a great place to take photos. They even have a gift shop and oil house. The beach is right behind it so it’s a nice spot. They have a play area and lots of parking. We went in off season though.
Amanda M — Google review
This is a great family activity with a cherry on top - great views from the top or this well maintained and still working Lighthouse. This place offered a great exercise climbing 199 steps up and then going down but the most impressive thing is the amazing views of all of Cape May, the ocean, and the Delaware Bay. Highly recommend this experience when in Cape May on a clear day!

This was just a stop for a day trip at Cape May. We were lucky it was not crowded at all. Perfect weather for October. Not too many stairs to climb. Max pulse 126
Andrey G — Google review
What a neat place. Don't like heights much, but going down the stairs wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. 199 steps. Each window alcove had pictures and explanations about the structure and what life was like. Nice view from the catwalk(?) that you are allowed to traverse. Wish the gift shop had lighthouse pens! There was access to the beach from the parking lot, a mini museum, and boardwalk trails around the ponds, with opportunities for birdwatching. Ran out of time to do all three trails. Worth visiting!

The Wildwoods Beach Ball Sign is an iconic spot in Wildwood, New Jersey that attracts photography enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The sign spells out 'Wildwood' and stands in front of the ocean, making it a picturesque location for capturing memories. This area is also home to over 300 motels that date back to the mid-20th century, showcasing exceptional architectural designs from that era.
We went off season in April so we missed all the traffic and high schoolers😅 not sure if you need tickets or anything for admission, I don’t think you do? But we definitely didn’t because nobody was there! Great place to take pictures and hangout for a bit to enjoy the weather!
Khusbu P — Google review
Fun spot to grab pictures that commemorate your trip. Kids young and old enjoy hopping on the beach balls and into the Wildwood sign. The sign is open to the public without reservations or tickets, though it is popular so you might need to wait if you want pictures without others.

We went for a weekend. The beaches are nice and clean. The boardwalk is large with lots of shops. I enjoyed running in the mornings. There are more motels than hotels. Plenty of places to eat

The Wildwood Beach Ball Sign is such a fun and iconic spot! 🌊🎉 It’s colorful, cheerful, and the perfect place to snap photos with family and friends. The giant beach balls capture the playful spirit of Wildwood and make for a great backdrop, especially with the boardwalk and ocean right nearby.
Meriam B — Google review
This is a great photo opportunity while visiting Wildwood. I love the design and the setting of this. This will be crowded in general and lesser during evenings to get your picture. Parking will be a challenge so cover this while planning your boardwalk. For better pictures go closer to the sunset and will get amazing lighting or an overcast day.

The Wildwoods Beach Ball Sign is a must-visit photo spot! It’s colorful, fun, and instantly puts you in a summer mood. Perfect for snapping vacation pics with friends or family. It’s located right by the boardwalk, so it’s easy to find and makes a great starting point for your beach day. Definitely one of the most iconic spots in Wildwood—don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

Wildwood is a nice getaway for the family. There is a long Broad-walk and a tram car if you don’t want to walk. You have to flag them down and it’s 5 dollars per person. There’s rides and pies for every age group. Plenty of food and treats and games.

Nestled in the heart of southern New Jersey, Historic Cold Spring Village (HCSV) is a captivating living history museum that transports visitors back to the early years of American independence. Open from spring through summer, this charming village spans over 30 acres and recreates a quaint rural hamlet from the homespun era. As a non-profit educational institution, HCSV invites guests to immerse themselves in the rich history of the region while exploring period buildings filled with artifacts and engaging exhibits.
Great place for a fun family adventure. Clean and safe. Lots of lovely folks working there. Very interesting to see all the different makers in the Viking area of The Clan of the Raven. Highly recommend the Seafarers and Maritime Celebration!

Very nice living museum. Great staff to ask questions if you have any. Nice to wander around the historic houses, and places. Small farm out back with a horse & couple of cows. The only place that we didn't get to go in or see was the restaurant. It was closed.
Deb K — Google review
This a lovely historic village where you can learn about 19th century history. There are separate buildings to visit: a blacksmith, a pottery studio, a schoolhouse, etc. Each one has a host who’ll tell you a slice of history. We especially loved the print shop and the bookbinder’s!
Valeriya S — Google review
Great historic village. There were many historic interpreters showcasing all kinds of crafts including spinning yarn, weaving, wicker, printing, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, and bookbinding. Kyle at the print shop was very knowledgeable and communicative. The village is a reconstruction assembled from real historic buildings that have been transported to the site, so the historic education component is very general, but still locally focused. They have sheep, cows, pigs, chickens and a horse on site. The curator of the village informed us that he is a physic medium, so there is a lot of paranormal tourism incorporated into the village. They did not treat it as a gimmick or a performance. They all seemed to take it very seriously like they really believe in the ghost stories. But if you're not into that, it was pretty easy to avoid. There is a nice ice cream parlor and bakery inside the village, as well as a restaurant and brewery right outside so this area can really be a full day adventure.
Gabriella E — Google review
Great historic interpreters. Kyle the interpreter at the print shop was great and really entertained our family! Glad we made a stop here.
Benye — Google review
Had a great time, the people working are very knowledgeable about the time period. Lots of interesting tools and a very tasty bakery.
Jose J — Google review
I expected to enjoy my time there and maybe spend an hour or so looking around. I was pleasantly surprised that there was more to see than I thought. I loved how you could go into all the buildings and there was someone there to give you the history and explanation of the different trades pertaining to each building. The buildings are well maintained and the actors were all very friendly, especially Kyle. Some of them even had a great sense of humor, like the Priest. It was great that they also had an ice cream shop, bakery and concession stand. I will definitely be back.
Amber N — Google review
I've rode past this place for years, never stopped. However, recently we decided to visit with family. What a pleasant surprise! I felt like I stepped back in time. Very educational, from the general store, inn, jail, school house, black Smith, etc. Each structure had someone dressed in the period and explained where Each structure came from and what the structure was used for. We even had corn on the cob, cooked on open flame and bread baked in the outside oven. There is also a welcome center and snack bar along with a bakery and ice cream store. There is a brewery which you can access in the parking area. If you rode past this place wondering what was there and never stopped, I would suggest you check it out. You'll be pleasantly surprised! There is a fee to get into the park, (not the brewery), and they do offer discounts for seniors and veterans for the park. There is also a ghost tour every Friday evening, however I believe these should be purchased in advance. You may want to call to confirm.

With six trails of varying lengths and a two-mile perimeter loop along the forest edge, visitors can immerse themselves in the ever-changing landscape on foot or by bike. This idyllic retreat is particularly enchanting during bird migrations in spring and fall, as well as when wildflowers bloom from May to July.
Far off the beaten track in Cape May, a beautiful preserve with walking trails, views of the wetlands and fields of wild flowers. We visited the Garrett Family Preserve at Cape Island Creek as part of our Revolution Rail Co. Tour. Fantastic way to spend time away from the crowds in Cape May

For a quieter walk with a bit more share and pleasant smells. This is also connected to a longer trail (by the train tracks at the entrances) that goes much further north and south, in case you want a longer walk or jog. The painted train cars were unexpected, well-done, and somewhat interesting.

A hidden gem south of the "cut" on the "island of Cape May". Found this place a couple of years ago and fell in love. Smiled big when we saw the bee hives in one of the fields. Smiled big again when we found the "tree cave", complete with picnic table inside. Great place for a peaceful walk any time of the year. Highly recommended along with all of the better known Cape May attractions.

Beautiful place to be to get away from everything except nature. I went there for the Butterfly Event where they put up a statue for the resemblance for protecting butterflies. Butterflies also migrate to this area during the summer and fall getting ready to go to Mexico for winter. It is such a beautiful place to visit. I don’t recommend going on a hot day though. Birding By Boat on the Osprey is a popular activity for nature enthusiasts visiting the Southern Jersey Shore. The boat tour offers an opportunity to spot various bird species such as ospreys, bald eagles, and more. Visitors can also explore the wetlands on a kayak with the Wetlands Wildlife Safari. Guests have praised Captain Bob's extensive knowledge of the area and bird habitats, making for an exciting adventure.
I was looking up info on beach badges on the Cape May website, when this bird cruise caught my eye. I was able to book a couple hours before it started, and I’m so glad I did! The captain and naturalist were both super knowledgeable and shared tons of great info about the area and wildlife - without being overbearing. They let you look out on your own and enjoy your time on the boat, while still making sure we wouldn’t miss any new birds. The time flew by as we saw ospreys and bald eagles up close as well as gulls, terns, herons and many other birds. They didn’t rush back to the dock as the clock hit 8 - but hung out for a little longer to make sure we got to see black-crowned night herons eat their crab dinner. It was a great, different way to spend some time in Cape May. If you have even a slight interest in birds, I would recommend going! Oh - and we booked directly through their website which seems to save a few dollars compared to TripAdvisor.

Wonderful experience! The captain was very knowledgeable- we saw a large variety of different species. Loved seeing the bald eagle! Easy parking, snacks, drinks, souvenirs available for purchase on board. Extra binoculars available for use during our excursion.

I had a great time birding on the Osprey. I highly recommend whether you’re an experienced birder or just interested in a scenic boat tour. I saw many species I’ve never scene before and the captain and naturalist were extremely knowledgeable about each one. I plan on going again soon.

This sunset cruise experience was awesome! Captain Bob and his assistant were extremely knowledgeable and were pointing out all the different birds and other creatures along the ride and made everything so interesting. The ride was smooth and we were extremely happy with our experience. Our boat was called the “Osprey” and we will definitely go again in the future!

Absolutely magical! Our evening with **Birding By Boat** in Cape May was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped on board, the guides’ passion and deep knowledge of the local birdlife were clear; they didn’t just point out birds, they brought their stories to life. Their friendliness and enthusiasm made the entire tour feel welcoming and engaging for both seasoned birders and casual nature lovers. We were lucky enough to spot a majestic bald eagle soaring above the marsh and even caught a glimpse of the elusive Clapper Rail, a true rarity! Dozens of other species made appearances, and each one was met with fascinating facts and insight from the crew. The setting sun over the Cape May backwaters provided a stunning backdrop, making the experience feel even more serene and special. If you’re even remotely curious about birding or just want a peaceful and educational evening on the water, Birding By Boat is an absolute must. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Awesome sunset birding boat trip! From the minute we pulled away from the dock we saw so many birds and wildlife! Dolphins galore and even a family of coyotes on the shoreline! Comfortable boat ride with binoculars supplied. We had a great night, highly recommend this boat tour!!

An excellent tour. Very knowledgeable guide and pilot. The pontoon is the perfect vessel for exploring shallow waters, maneuvering for the best views, and moving at the right speeds for birdwatching, and the captain uses the boat to its best advantage.

Miniature golf course
Cape May Miniature Golf is a popular spot for families and couples looking for some fun in Cape May. The well-maintained course offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience, with some finding the shots to be surprisingly tricky. While it may not be the best choice for younger children due to its difficulty level, it's still a great place for family outings or date nights.
Cape May Miniature Golf is awesome! It was a beautiful course to play through! Without doubt worth going to! Have a great day!❤️😃⚓️🌊⛳️

Ehh okay. Staff was rude. Poor signage. No trash cans to put any trash in that were accessible during the course but had numerous do not litter signs up. Very little shade. Based off of reading recent reviews, I know the owner is going to come back and say this is some sort of fake review, but it isn't. Came here 07/22/25 at approximately 1045 am.
Katy G — Google review
I liked this course the best. Some other courses were really flat and this course was challenging. It was $10 per person and had 18 holes.
Eric M — Google review
Best course in cape may! Challenging terrain and lots of fun. Watch out for the blue recreational pool water.
Andrew M — Google review
On a nice sunny day my family and I returned to this course to give it another chance. The sun was beating down and lucky for us this course offers no shade whatsoever. Would we be at least treated to the view of the beach? No, you instead get the breathtaking view of local traffic to one side and the roof of a hardware store to the other. Its a beach town though, so we will get the ocean breeze yeah? Also no, but when you get to the middle of the course there is a small cave with a slight port-a-potty smell that you can huddle in with your family to get a little shade while the mist from the toilet water scented water cools your ankles. There is no longer ice cream at the end of this course but instead you get to take home the complimentary sunburn free of charge! The lumpiness of the greens made it like playing golf in a gravel pit, balls shooting every which way, but this is a positive as it gave my young grandson a chance to win the day so theres that. This town has maybe 5-6 courses on the island and this course is like the 11th best. My family has been let down twice at this course after trying our best to make the best of a bad course. Go anywhere else in Cape May, save your money! I had golfed here previously with my family and had offered some constructive feedback about the lumpy greens and bent putters and the owner became very confrontational and threatened to call the police because I had complained about the egg shaped balls along with the lumpy greens and sub-par putters. I wasn't asking for a refund, just trying to help offer some advice that would step this course up to par with the other courses in town. I figured maybe the initial criticism was harsh and we should give it another shot. I was wrong. I seem to not be the only person that this owner has had problems with and I can't stress enough to spend your money anywhere else!

Went here a few years ago and had a great time with my family. I went back this past weekend and didn't recognize the course. The terrain was so bumpy that my son tripped and fell multiple times. People were doing so bad because the course was unkept and so the line would be really long and it took a long time. Laziness leads to bad service. It's a shame. Also I love Joe Biden.

If you're looking for an unforgettable experience on the water, look no further than SUP Cape May. This fantastic spot offers a unique opportunity to explore the serene beauty of Cape May's salt marshes while paddleboarding. With easy access to calm waterways right after passing under a bridge, you can skip the choppy harbor and dive straight into nature’s tranquility.
Really enjoyable kayak trip. Went at 8 a.m. ...highly suggest if you are interested in a relaxing experience. Guide was really great. And went above and beyond to help me retrieve my cell phone which through a comedy or maybe tragedy of errors dropped into the bay right at the dock. As there was nothing I could do at the time, I rolled with it and embarked on my kayak. And hour and half later, we arrived back at the office/dock where my cell phone decided to take a dip. As low tide was approaching the water had receded, but not completely so it wasn't visible yet. My guide, Jen, on her paddleboard went under the dock to where it had plunged and kindly began to feel for it in the water through the slime and muckiness. After not even a couple of minutes she pulled her hand up from the water and said I found it! So thankful thinking at least I can return it and get a new one, she paddled her way back to me. This time I took the phone from her away from the water as to not have a repeat episode of me fumbling my phone. I put the phone safely in my car and proceeded back to the office to use her phone to call my mom and get directions back to my resort. Leaving a voicemail for my mom, I thanked Jen and headed to my car. As I opened the door, I felt my fit bit notifications and thought no way! But yes way, I touched my phone and couldn't believe what I was seeing...my phone was on and working!!! I quickly jumped out to let them know the amazing, I can't believe it news! Jen, quickly made sure to let me know not to charge in case it would short. Thankfully it was still fully charged somehow by some miracle 💛 so thank you Jen for finding my phone! And shout out to Otterbox because this is twice now that my phone fell in to water (last time during a pedicure and yes apparentlyI am a hot mess sometimes) and by the grace of the Android and cell phone gods my phone still works 💛 So yes, pick SUPCAPEMAY! Not only do they offer a great experience, but went the extra mile to help me 💛

Cape May Convention Hall is a versatile and modern venue located on the beautiful beaches of Cape May, New Jersey. The hall hosts various events, from musical performances to craft shows and magic shows, as well as offering roller skating during the offseason.
The roller skating was fun, especially with nothing else really on the area. Pretty much geared towards children, but adults can have fun too. $20 for skates and admission for 2 adults. The skates were super nice honestly, and looked and felt brand new. The rink was piece by piece placed but pretty smooth for the most part.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at the Cape May Convention Center, and it was an absolutely magical experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped foot inside this stunning venue, we knew this was the perfect choice for our special day. The location is unbeatable. Nestled right on the picturesque shores of Cape May, the Convention Center offers breathtaking views of the ocean, creating a backdrop that dreams are made of. The sight of the sun setting over the water after our evening ceremony was simply enchanting and left our guests in awe. The professionalism and attentiveness of the staff at the Cape May Convention Center was exceptional. From our initial inquiry to the final moments of our wedding day, Rachel and her team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. They were accommodating, flexible, and truly made us feel like our wedding was their top priority. We had a lot of décor for the staff at the convention center to set up, and they exceeded our visions of how things would come together. Special thanks to their event coordinator, Rachel Ertle, who helped us plan every aspect of the day flawlessly. Additionally, the surrounding area of Cape May offers a plethora of charming hotels, shops, and restaurants, making it an ideal destination for a wedding weekend. If you're searching for a wedding venue that offers beauty, elegance, and a touch of seaside charm, the Cape May Convention Center should be at the top of your list. We are forever grateful for the memories created in this wonderful space. Thank you, Cape May Convention Center, for making our wedding day truly unforgettable!

Amazing 2 hour birding by water tour. Many different species seen. Capt. Bob maneuvered the boat for the best views. Vincent, the naturalist, definitely knew his stuff. Friendly, knowledgeable, confident crew. Well worth your time and the ticket price

What an amazing day spent on the water. We had the best guide in Skylar and could not be more appreciative of her. We will definitely be coming back.
Tracy C — Google review
We rented a tandem kayak and had a great time out on the water. They suggested a few directions we could go while kayaking. We opted to stay within the estuaries where the water was more calm. Prices were good as well as service.
Tracy H — Google review
We rented on two separate occasions kayaks and then a pontoon boat. Both times were fantastic. It’s a great reasonable priced shop. Very knowledgeable staff and easy to deal with. My piece of advise is arrive early! It is interesting to park so u need some time to do that. Good bait shop for fishing types! Such a great experience

These guys are great! Jillian is a knowledgeable and passionate tour guide, we kayaked through several different habitats and saw a wide variety of the critters.
Roman K — Google review
We had a great time on the water. We rented 4 kayaks and we're out there for about 1.5 hours. It was perfect. We saw a ton of wildlife including diamondback terrapins, osprey chicklets, a family of baby ducks, and fish. Would definitely do it again. The crew was very accommodating and pleasant as well. Thank you!

It was Awesome! Went on a Whale & Dolphin watching cruise. The weather was beautiful, the cruise was amazing and the marina was quaint. And, the staff was accommodating. The views were beautiful as well.

Went on a fishing charter here this week. Can't say it wasn't fun...and the crew was nice...but I'm pretty sure we fished on the Sahara Bay, from what we caught (or more succinctly, what we didn't catch). Worst I ever saw on a party boat though. Do your research, folks, if you are going there to "fish". It could have just been an "off" day, who knows?
Robert — Google review
We took a fishing charter for my brothers birthday, it was a group of five of us, two of us in the party didn’t want to fish, the staff was so understanding and we’re fine with us not participating. The boat was very clean, I normally get C6 so I took a Dramamine, I fell asleep for 90 minutes on the boat, so if you get seasick, that is my recommendation! My family caught fish and had an amazing time, the staff was so nice and funny, definitely was a fun time, we got our tickets from Groupon!
Sydney C — Google review
Just did the drum fishing trip on miss chris. Might be the worse fishing trip ever. Not because of entire boat nothing but because captain went to a location and never left for 4 hrs. He also barely spoke the entire time. Never again
Huey Z — Google review
We went on the Sunset Dolphin cruise. If you want to see a boatload of dolphins, this is the place to go. It's a nice, clean boat with a great crew and guide. My wife and I enjoyed it. It rained a bit at times, but there is more than adequate indoor seating and space. Pizza and hod dogs are included in the price of the ticket. GREAT for kids as well as adults.
Frank F — Google review
I booked a trip for my twin son’s 8th birthday. There were 7 of us. I guess I was expecting it to be better than what it was. The boat was crowded and we spent the first 2 hours standing next to one another getting our lines tangled. The fishing was not great. Very small kingfish and croakers. You do not cast your rod. You just drop it in the water off the side of the boat. Lame. The mates were super amazing and helpful. I would suggest taking Dramamine if you get the least bit seasick. The water was pretty choppy. If I hadn’t purchased a Groupon, I would be pretty pissed off but considering I got a good deal I guess I got what I paid for.
Georgia P — Google review
Have been charter fishing with Miss Chris for over 20 years when my parents started taking me as a kid. Now I take my kids at least once every year. The crew are always very nice and knowledgeable, and the boat is always well maintained and clean.

East Coast Jet Ski and Waverunner Rentals offers an exhilarating experience for those seeking adventure on the water. Before embarking on your journey, you'll receive a thorough safety briefing and helpful tips to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Many visitors have raved about their experiences, expressing surprise at how much fun they had and feeling confident after receiving personal instructions from the guides. Captain Rob and Emily are the definition of the dynamic duo! Highly informative and they’re both hilarious! The jet boat has quickly become a family favorite on our yearly trips to Wildwood! Highly recommend! Thank you for a great tour today, Captain Rob and Emily!
Kristen D — Google review
Do not waste any money here. Staff was nice but we wasted half an hour watching a video on how to run a ski and reading and signing papers. Then the guy proceeded to tell us not to do any sharp turns or other stuff you do on a ski. He also asked us not to do back flips with a slow three person ski🤣🤣 Skis only topped out at bout 40 mph. We were told they have a big riding area when in reality it is dangerously tiny. The guides sat and watched us as we buzzed in small circles for an hour and would motion us to stop if we got bored and started doing twirls. Everything was just super boring and unbelievably lame. I’ve been to other rentals in the area that are three times as fun and cheaper.
Franklin M — Google review
I’ve been jet skiing many times and this is one of the best experiences I’ve had. The guides were friendly and confident in leading the group. They are also super honest with the rules and risks of jet skiing, which I think is important to communicate to customers. Directions were straight forward and the video guide about the do’s/donts were helpful. Also great that they had an example of the buoy at the dock so you know what to keep a look out for in order to stay within the jet skiing area of the harbor. If you are an avid jet skier and you want the freedom to go where you please, then this is not for you. However, this is a great experience if you are a beginner because you are riding the same route in a circle with guides that are there to watch you. It serves as great practice. And the waters are more calm because you are not out in the ocean. It’s more of a bay.
Amanda D — Google review
Do not waste your money jet skiing. The guides are really nice but the company fails to tell you you're restricted to a tiny area where you can only do laps for the entire time. You ONLY do left hand turns around a tiny square they've designated for jet skiing AND the jet ski speed is throttled so you top out at maybe 53mph. Seems fast but when you're going around a tiny square it gets boring real quick. At most maybe do 30mins, definitely don't spend your money for an hour.
Sasha V — Google review
The staff was nice but the riding area was fairly small and you have to ride in a circle the entire time. I was really disappointed and felt ripped off due to the price for the service and when I tried to use a buy one rental get one rental 50% off coupon which has no terms and details on the coupon they stated it was only for the hour ride time and they wouldn’t honor it for the 45 minute ride time. Also was disappointed at the fact that their website advertises you can go up to 55 mph but my and my friends jet skis only went 28-30 mph. They shouldn’t advertise the speed almost double what you can actually do.
Anthony H — Google review
In the craziness of summer sometimes it’s hard to cram it all in. This was so much fun, I’m not sure why we waited so long to do it!!! We had such a great time and we are already talking about doing it again! None of us had driven a Waverunner before, but we felt comfortable after the video and personal instructions by the guides! I thought it might be boring riding in circles but I was wrong! It was a very large area in Cape May harbor. Enough waves & wakes to make it exciting! Wear sunblock. Bring sunglasses. I wish I had done both and booked a longer session.
A R — Google review
Definitely had fun but based on experiences at other local places I wouldn’t recommend. Jet skies were much slower and the area you have to ride felt a lot tighter and not as safe. Also they don’t let you drive unless you are 18, whereas other places allow 17 year olds to drive so my 17 yr old son was disappointed. I’m sure they posted this on website but when other places allow this I really wished we went there.
Peter M — Google review
My wife and I rented some jet skis from here while on vacation with 2 of our children and paid to have pictures and videos of us operating them. At the end of our ride they told us to wait for your guides and they will give you your pictures and videos. Well we waited for about 20 minutes and went up and asked again and they told us they forgot to take the pictures and videos. I explained to them we are on vacation and this was our first experience and we really wanted to capture this on film which is why we paid extra for that service to which they said they would refund the cost of the pictures. I had asked if we could come back the next day and ride for a little to get the pictures and was told they are too booked and cant do it. I felt like they could have done more to make up for there mistake even just let us go out for 10 or 15 minutes to get the pictures and videos they forgot to take.

Steger Beach Service, Inc. is a family-owned business that has been providing beach amenities since 1932. They offer rentals for beach boxes, umbrellas, cabanas, chairs, and other gear. Located on Jackson Street, Steger Beach is a popular spot for water enthusiasts and sports lovers with volleyball nets available for use. Customers appreciate the convenience of the reservation system for chair and umbrella rentals. The attentive staff at Grant Street beach ensures a pleasant experience for visitors.
We reserved two beach chairs and umbrellas online a few days before our trip. Very easy to do and convenient website. When we arrived at the beach on Howard Street I simply gave my name and that was it. The very friendly staff on the beach set up our chairs and umbrellas wherever we wanted them and we enjoyed the week. Very positive experience and will use them again on our return trip. Special thanks to Paxton who set us up each day.

Upon arriving to Cape May, we were looking for a stress free way to enjoy a few days at the beach and decided to rent a cabana for the day from Steger beach rentals. The rental experience online was great, but the in-person experience was anything but stress free. Upon arrival we were supposed to be met by someone that would show us our cabana for day. What we found were 2 of the rudest and most combative persons I’ve ever encountered. Not only did they refuse to answer any questions or to assist in any way, but they were downright disrespectful also. Being a lifelong NYC resident, I’ve seen more than my share of rude people, but these two absolutely were the worst. Had they spoken to anyone in NYC the way they did to me, it would have been a really bad day for them. In short, I cannot express how rude and unhelpful the employees of this company were and I will most certainly never use their “services” again.
John D — Google review
We had a new cabana that we tried to put up in gale force winds on 9/3/24 bon Broadway Beach .We weren't successful, lol. We rented an umbrella from a nice guy who we continued to rent from our entire 4 day stay. Wonderful service, nice young man... Ugh yeah I'm old. Thank you!
Denise G — Google review
Our family is new to cape may and were excited to explore the beach with our 4 year old and parents. Enquiring regarding umbrellas and chairs I landed up at this place. A bunch of youngsters manning the place made a sarcastic remark not sure if it was related to the short conversation I had with them but I am old enough when jokes are made at people. When we pay close to 50 bucks. Least we can expect is for not to be treated disrespectfully.
S L — Google review
This was our first year using the reservation system (3 chairs and an umbrella), and wish we’d thought of this before! It made it easy to not have to haul that gear, plus a cooler and towels, to the beach. Sometimes there’s a wait, if the attendant is out putting up an umbrella, but it’s never inconvenient. All of the attendants at Grant Street beach last week were great, but one stood out(I think his name was Mo?). We will definitely use your service again!
Dave N — Google review
Steger Beach services on ocean street was wonderful we had rented a cabana and chairs for 3 days during the last week of August and the people there who helped us were great. They were so friendly and on time and set up everything perfectly. They even have drinks there that you can buy. For someone who has Parkinson this is definitely worth it. Thank you

The guy at philadelphia beach is miserable. Throwing chairs and umbrellas. Telling people , im only going to tell you once, don't move the umbrella.
Pat F — Google review
Discrepancy between rate of stand up paddle boards on line and at the site is very confusing. I was told they couldn't charge any less than $25 even though they advertise $20. And then was told we couldn't rent any more than 1 hour because they had to close early even though it was still plenty of time left in the day. The person at the shop said he had no information on the stand up paddle boarding rental because he managed a different part of the shop. Water was very choppy with a thousand boats and jet skis. Overall not at all worth the experience. The young man at the stand however is very nice and tries to accommodate.

Our kayak tour was at 8:30am. Diana was our guide; biology teacher and kayak guide for 6 years! Equipment in excellent condition. Kayaking Instructions given by our guide. My husband and I happened to be the only ones on the tour, so we could set the pace and ask any questions we wanted. Kayaking was not difficult. Most people can do it! We wore our bathing suits. Life vest provided. Total 1 1/2 hours long. Just perfect!!

Jeff the owner and our tour guide was awesome. His knowledge of the birds and creatures along the shore lines and wetlands, and our route about the harbor, marshes and rivers made for a great day for my girlfriend and I. Been visiting the Cape May region from Colorado for years, and this is a great way to experience the beauty.

We had a great guided kayak trip through the salt marsh. Our guide Rachel was super nice and very knowledgeable on the entire ecosystem-birds, fish, tides, grasses you name it.
Jonas L — Google review
My entire family of 4, including 2 small children, capsized after only going 15 feet without paddling. Since the owner, Hannah, rearranged our seating configuration afterward, including adding another seat, and we didn't have any problems, it was obvious the boat was improperly loaded the first time. However, Hannah refused to accept any responsibility for it. On top of that, she cared more about saving the boat than my family. My cousin had to run over to fish my 2 and 4 year old out of the water while Hannah watched. Our phones were destroyed in the process, and instead of getting an apology, we got yelled at for suggesting she did anything wrong.

We did the 6PM 2-Hour Sunset Dolphin Cruise, and we loved it! Great way to spend an evening around the South Jersey island. The Dolphins come very close to the shore so you get a good view of them in their natural habitat. Children had a nice time and we would love to do this again if we visit the Jersey shore again!
