Bistro
Nourish Bistro Banff is a unique eatery known for its inventive vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as creative cocktails. The menu offers a wide range of influences, including Southern comfort food, pan-Asian cuisine, and Italian fare. While the prices are higher than other restaurants in town, Nourish stands out with dishes like build-your-own-charcuterie boards and mushroom-stuffed ravioli in cashew milk-based cream sauce.
We tried this place for the first time after arriving in Banff and were blown away. We ordered the Boss Bear Burger and the Exotic Wild Mushroom Ravioli — both were absolutely delicious. The food was so good that we made sure to come back for brunch before leaving. This time, we had the Mountain Breakfast Skillet and the Nourish Omelette, and they were incredible and so filling. Honestly, this is hands down the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. The flavours, the quality, the service — everything was incredible. Caleb, the owner was super nice and ensured we had the best time ever. Highly recommend!

A Vegetarian Delight in the Rockies If you're looking for the best vegetarian food in Banff, Nourish Bistro is the place to be. The Big Bear Burger was absolutely delicious — flavorful, hearty, and satisfying even for non-vegetarians. They also offer a great variety of fruity beers and creative cocktails that pair perfectly with the food. The service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy, nature-inspired ambiance adds to the overall experience. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and uniqueness of the dishes make it worth it. Make sure to book in advance as it could be very busy.
Parth P — Google review
We’re not vegan, but we always love trying vegan food and Nourish did not disappoint! We saw great reviews and decided to check it out. The food was honestly amazing. We loved everything we ordered, and the cocktails were just as good. Only thing that threw us off a bit was that we weren’t done with our food (we still had fries and few bites left), and one of the staff just picked up our plates without asking if we were done. That felt a little off, to be honest. But apart from that, the rest of the staff was nice, and the vibe was good. If you’re vegan or just curious to try vegan food, this place is definitely worth a visit. Loved their in-house burgers, highly recommend!

I loved Nourish Bistro so much that I ate here TWICE during my 2 day visit to Banff. The first time I had the delicious Vietnamese Noodle Salad with tofu. Not only was it delicious, but it was colourful and beautifully composed. The next day I came back for a lighter meal and had the vegetable gyoza. I also enjoyed the home made lemon / lime drink, which was wonderfully refreshing and not too sweet. The best part was the terrific service! The staff seemed to operate as a very cooperative team to provide seamless service. The restaurant itself had a comfortable and calm vibe. Sit outside on their patio with yellow umbrellas to get a lovely view is the mountains. Support this small, independent business! 💛

Super friendly and super relaxed staff. Good ambiance. Most importantly really good food. The menu is creative and divers. All vegetarian restaurant and all upgradable to vegan. It does so without screaming this, in my opinion that is a huge plus and a compliment. Just go and try this restaurant.
Marc T — Google review
If ever you are in Banff, this is a gem of a place. Everything is vegetarian or vegan including the drinks. We were in Banff end of May and were looking for a restaurant with more vegetarian options as well as the ambience. This place fitted the needs. Lovely patio sitting and the service was excellent. It was Saturday evening and the place was packed so we waited for 15 mins to get a table which was so worth it considering all the delicious options on the menu. There were four of us - we ordered Boss Bear Burger, Nourishment Bowl and Wild Mushrooms Ravioli. All three dishes were yummy. And also ordered beer and a non alcoholic drink. Will definitely go there again if ever we are in Banff!!
Geeta S — Google review
So nice to find a place to enjoy a variety of fresh, healthy and original veggie dishes. The dumplings were prolly our favorite but I do have to give a shout out to both the beet humus and their marinaded/grilled tofu …both were super yummy as part of the overall salad I had. Thankfully the dressing was not overdone so I could enjoy the overall mix of flavors. Glad the weather cooperated as it was nice to dine on the patio and enjoy the lively outdoor atmosphere. PS- if u get the dumplings and have any dipping sauce left over, I loved dipping the falafel into it, but maybe that’s just me!
RenegadegeeK — Google review
Heaven for vegetarians. We got the mushrooms ravioli and black bean burger. The fries with the burger were seasoned so well. And all the sauces were super tasty. Going back again to try other stuff. Definitely recommend. The staff is super friendly and welcoming!!!

Distillery
PARK Distillery Restaurant + Bar is a trendy spot in Alberta, offering small-batch spirits and gourmet comfort food in a rustic setting. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu of rotisserie and wood-fired grilled meats, along with unique dishes like cheese and whisky fondue and cornflake pulled pork fingers with maple whisky and bacon dipping sauce. Their cocktails are top-notch, reflecting their expertise in crafting spirits. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a free distillery tour to enhance their experience.
This was honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Canada, and without a doubt it served the best bison burger I have ever had. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful, with that unique richness you only get from bison meat. It was truly outstanding and absolutely worth the visit on its own. The restaurant also has its own line of alcoholic drinks, including gin and vodka, which I found really impressive. The gin had a pleasant bitterness balanced with fruity notes, which made it refreshing and unique. Along with that, we enjoyed a well-prepared salad, tasty beer, and a memorable pepper soup made with their vodka that stood out as something special. The atmosphere of the restaurant is another highlight. It has a vibrant yet comfortable vibe that makes the experience even more enjoyable. We were seated on the patio, which had a lively and welcoming energy. Unfortunately, the inside was full and we couldn’t get a table indoors because the restaurant was very busy. My recommendation: if you plan to visit, make sure you reserve in advance. It’s absolutely worth it. For me, this place was a top dining experience and I would call it one of the very best restaurants I’ve tried in Canada.
Gelareh G — Google review
Make a reservation if you have a group bigger than 5. We had 8. Food was delicious. Reasonably priced for Banff. It was busy. A bit squishy to get around, as you are pretty close to the other tables. Sauces were fresh. Service a little slow as it was so busy! Loud, but it adds character to the atmosphere of the distillery. Bathrooms could be a tad cleaner. Overall, I enjoyed it immensely. This was my last time traveling to Banff. It is so overcrowded. No parking available. I like little stress as possible, and the town was insane. Too busy for me and the family.

Came here twice during our visit to Banff, we came back the second time not only because it was a neat environment however the staff was very friendly! It was truly a good experience and consistent both times! Came here the first night for drinks and the bartenders were very personable and friendly! The drinks were good too, so all around we had an excellent experience. Then on Sunday we got engaged and came here for dinner after our lake tours and had another good experience! The food was excellent, yet again the drinks were good and the environment great! They distill and make spirits here and it’s just a cool spot! We throughly enjoyed this place and the bartender gave us a celebratory shot after hearing of our engagement! We will be back during our next visit and know it’ll be the same!!! Thank you

Food was good. The bbq sauce is amazing. Had the gnocci and was good but not enough. Also had the rotisserie chicken and the gravy was cold. Drinks were half price in happy hour and good. Live entertainment also really nice

Amazing vibes! Such a cool place to go for a quick sit down with appys and omg you have to try the hard root beer 10/10 new favourite cocktail! The hot spinach dip was so creamy and yummy and our waitress J.A. Was amazing. She remembered us and made sure we felt right at home! Thank you for the amazing experience. Your establishment is amazing and such a cool place to visit!!

Food so good we went twice while on vacation! This is a great lowkey spot with excellent house made spirits. Lunch special was totally worth it and the cornbread appetizer is really as good as everyone says. Great atmosphere, location and service!

My girlfriend and I stopped at park for lunch with the dogs. We were seated out in the patio right away. Our waiter Sam was fantastic. We split the meat platter and there was nothing left really good. The observation peak cocktail which I had was fantastic very Smokey and smooth! Definitely a great spot to sit relax with a drink and people watch
Christopher K — Google review
My group the spicy rigatoni, salmon, chicken and the truffle fries. Everything was delicious! I also had a good Mexican draft beer and Moscow mule cocktail. The cocktail seemed light on alcohol however. We sat outside with a nice view of the street and mountains.

Nestled in the heart of Banff, Eddie Burger + Bar is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts. This casual eatery offers creatively crafted burgers, poutine, and boozy milkshakes that put an adult twist on a childhood classic. The Rocky Mountain burger, featuring an elk patty with blueberry chutney, cheddar, romaine lettuce, sauteed onion and mayo on a brioche bun is a standout choice.
Every time we're in Banff we never miss going to Eddie Burger and I'm so glad they've retained the menu over the years because their burgers are delicious! My husband likes the bison and I usually order a classic, but the elk burger is also amazing. Onion rings are also particularly good, as well as the milkshake. The large portion sizes are well-worth and the service was excellent. The only con is the limited seating so you might want to stop by here first to get on the waiting list and then walk around town.
Ariel L — Google review
Great burger spot in the Heart of Banff, right where all the action is, and surrounded by historic architecture. The service was excellent and the food is too! The poutine was enormous, made with high quality cheese curds, delicious vegetarian gravy, and crispy crinkle fries! I had the house made, spiced veggie burger, made like a smash burger - it was the bomb! I added onion, and it was a 10/10! Onion rings on the side are made fresh to order, beer battered and also done right! If you’re looking for a good burger in Banff, you’ve found it!
BSM — Google review
Well located in downtown, place is small, lively, nice and comfortable. Service is good. Menu has different options on burgers, including bison patty and elk patty. You can also configure your burger by yourself. Fries are fantastic and burgers very tasty.

After a poor visit to Magpie and a stump in Banff Alberta, the owner reached out to me to apologize and make it right. We final had a chance to visit Banff again and visited The Eddie Burger + Bar, which is one of their member restaurants. This visit was spectacular. From the service to the food. We could not be more impressed. The location is not large but it is quaint and cozy. Our server explained their menu from the standard food items to the customize your burger menu. You use a dry erase marker on a special menu where you pick out the options you want. Very cool idea and works wonderful in a burger joint. I opted for the classic Eddie burger while my table mates chose the customized option. Over all the food was delicious and hot. A great stop if you like a great classic burger.
The B — Google review
As an avid burger lover, this place was recommended to me. I had the build your own burger with a side of crinkle fries and a chocolate milkshake. I was overly thrilled with how everything tasted. The service and atmosphere on the patio was very nice as well. I will 100% be returning in the future next time I’m in Banff :)

They say a picture's worth a thousand words. We had the Stampede with fries and Elk with deep fried pickles; both burgers were tasty and the fries and pickles, especially the sauce that comes with the pickles, were GREAT. What's most surprising though was the raspberry chocolate milkshake! It was seriously super refreshing and not too sweet ❤️ Highly recommend
Serenoa — Google review
Been to The Eddie Burger in Banff a few times and it’s always delicious. The fries are well-seasoned, the burgers are big and top-notch, and I love the create-your-own burger option. It’s a small spot so it can get busy, and prices are definitely on the Banff side, but the quality makes it worth it.
Dylan L — Google review
I have tried many burgers in Europe(almost in every country),North-America and South-America. Here, I had the chance to try The Rocky Mountain(with Elk patty). In my humble opinion, this was THE BEST BURGER in my life, the taste is incredible and it just melts in your mouth, you have to try it. My wife was not that keen on having Burgers for dinner(three days in a row). The staff is very friendly and always happy to help you. They have an amazing thing going on here, I do hope that they keep it up. When we are in Banff again, we definitely going to have dinner here. Just try it and you won't be dissapointed.

Asian fusion restaurant
Bar
Block Kitchen + Bar is a trendy and lively spot in Banff, offering a diverse selection of small plates with an Asian twist. This relatively new addition to the dining scene has quickly gained popularity for its tapas-style menu featuring influences from Izakaya and other Asian cuisines, all made with locally sourced ingredients.
Great experience overall, with couple items falling short but the rest carried. Loved the ahi tuna, nice light entree with a great slaw. The bone marrow and the fried chicken app should not be skipped either. Chicken was crispy and moist, and sauce it was tossed in good. The creme brullee dessert was absolutely fantastic, we ordered a second one after finishing the first. Rilletes and ribs not so great, would pass on those. Tokyo fries delicious to share. Small restaurant so there can be a wait.

Saw the reviews about the ramen curry and had to try it. It was incredible! There were a lot of toppings in it, so much flavor and it was a good portion. My bf got the thai curry mussels w pita bread. He said they might have been the best mussels hes ever had and cleaned the bowl 😅 We both agreed we could have gone without the tiramisu brownie dessert. The top has caramelized sugar, middle is a tiramisu cream layer, and the bottom is brownie. It was unique but not amazing. The service was good, the waitress always came by at a good time. This place is so small, it probably seats aorund 20 people at once. Super cool place! Wish I could have tried more things cause everything sounded so good.
Jess — Google review
My husband and I had dinner at Block on our recent trip to Banff and WOW was it amazing! We've been coming to Banff for 10 years and I cannot believe this was the first time we tried it. Everything was so delicious from the karaage chicken to the lettuce wraps to the dumplings and even the dessert. We also got a side of the in house kimchi and it was 10/10. Our server was also wonderful and treated us so well! I would highly recommend block the next time you're in Banff, especially if you like tappas style food!
Allie L — Google review
Food was very good! We had the bison burger, duck poutine and matcha cheesecake. Great service! Would definitely come back to try more of their dishes.
Thy T — Google review
Initially came here to try out their duck poutine and curry ramen but unfortunately it was only available on their lunch menu and we came for dinner. Luckily the two dishes we got instead were really good. To fill our duck craving we got their duck spring rolls rich had the perfect crunch paired with an incredible dipping sauce that I’ve never had with spring rolls before. Extra points for the presentation! My girlfriend has never had bison before so we went with the smoked bison & pesto flat bread. We both enjoyed it and I think every ingredient on it was great and worked well together. If I’m ever back in Banff I’ll be sure to come back and try their lunch menu.

Nice small restaurant in the heart of downtown Banff. Very good food and friendly staff. Prices are a bit high but it’s worth. Food was delicious and portions were big.

Our server was one of the most attentive servers ever! Amy maybe? She was On top of it! Nice high-top outside on a beautiful afternoon. Had a bottle of the Montrose Rose ($58) paired with Three Dips & Nann ($14) that was a tasty treat and delicious! Hard to choose a favorite. Next were the Wagyu Beef Gyozas ($17) and the beef was so tender inside. Fantastic! Finished with a Vegan Bao ($8.75). Never had one before and jury is still out on the Bao but it was packed nicely and veggies were fresh and tasty. Make this a stop! You won't be sorry.

Nestled within the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Three Ravens Restaurant & Wine Bar offers a sophisticated dining experience with breathtaking mountain views. The executive chef showcases seasonal ingredients in creatively crafted dishes such as elk rack with organic quinoa and bison with candied fingerling yams.
Nothing short of spectacular. Our dinning experience was amazing from the start. Our Server was excellent, the food...the food was AMAZING. We love to dine out and treat ourselves to a fancier meal once in a while, and this was worth every penny! The decor was subtle, but the food colourful, well thought out and presented beautifully. If I could kiss the chef, I would. This restaurant is a go to for sure.

Visiting Banff from Philadelphia. If I were to recommend a restaurant to anyone visiting, this HAS to be on the top of their list. The service was absolutely stellar, probably the best service I have ever received. Several times our waitress came to offer us tastings of items the menu. The food was incredible, from the octopus starter to the bread with the herb butter to our incredible Trifle desert. 5 stars. Need to come back.
Jimmy S — Google review
I went here for an anniversary dinner with my wife and the staff experience was fantastic. The view outside of the Banff area was stunning. The roll arrived with three different kinds of butters made in house (garlic, mango and black truffle). The salmon mousse amuse bouche was good along with our main courses (beef striploin and duck). I think that the beef was a little overcooked (for my medium-rare request). The "deconstructed" lemon cake was divine and the cheeses were just the right size.

Finally an awesome meal..had to drive from Calgary just for this.. worth it. We tried all the appetizers and made it a degustation menu. Staff was friendly n meals were presented well n had plenty of flavor.. The great escapade...

The food was amazing here. We had the pork belly to start and it was absolutely to die for. Our mains and dessert were equally as amazing. Our server, Yvonne, just made our experience that much better. She was friendly, honest, and to be perfectly honest, we wouldn't have enjoyed our experience as much as we did if it wasn't for Yvonne. The view was breathtaking, especially at sunset. One thing this restaurant could improve is the atmosphere. It didn't feel as intimate as we would have liked as it's just a sectioned off part of a larger dining hall. Other than that, I would highly recommend Three Ravens and hopefully will have the opportunity to come back!
Kristin P — Google review
It's a rarity these days for food to look as beautiful as it tastes. Three Ravens is able accomplish this in leaps and bounds. The menu embraces the location and beauty of Banff and the surrounding areas with local ingredients and capturing those ingredients at their prime. If you are looking to be surprised in a good way, come with an open mind and an empty stomach, you will not be disappointed.

Shared and exquisite meal with my wife and son here this past week. Our waiter Daniel was first class and provided us an amuse bouche on the house. The other waiters were quite tickled with our little rambunctious 15 month old and that was more than appreciated as it’s always a point of contention taking our son out. Overall, the price, the ambience and the quality and taste of the food make for one of the best food experiences I’ve had to date. My wife had the bear and flower rabbit and I had the bison steak.

A hidden gem. Enjoyed one of the best meals I've ever had here. Staff are friendly, the food is amazing and the views are breathtaking. Reasonably priced too! A must visit, but don't tell everyone!

The Balkan Greek Restaurant in Banff is a popular spot known for its traditional Greek dishes like moussaka and gyros. The restaurant embraces the concept of philoxenia, an ancient Greek term for friendship, creating a lively atmosphere filled with Mediterranean passion and hospitality. Visitors can enjoy weekly Greek dance nights and experience the cultural traditions of Greece while savoring scrumptious meals.
The best meal we had in Banff! I had the seafood pasta, my husband had the lamb shank, and we shared the hummus with braised lamb as an appetizer. Everything was great! Our server was very nice and attentive also.

If you’re in Banff and craving incredible Mediterranean flavors, Balkan Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Their kebabs and grilled meats are simply outstanding — perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of rich, authentic flavor. Every bite feels like a celebration of traditional Mediterranean cooking. The lamb and chicken souvlaki were juicy and cooked to perfection, and the beef kebabs had just the right amount of char from the grill. You can tell the quality of ingredients is top-notch, and the presentation is beautiful too. Whether you’re a meat lover or just looking for something satisfying and flavorful after a day of exploring, Balkan hits the mark. Highly recommended!

Incredible place all around. Staff was absolutely wonderful the server took time out to play with the baby and even provided some fun toys for him. She made expert recommendations based on what she noticed we enjoyed. A fair bit of the meat options were halal and perfectly cooked. The flavors worked so well and every single thing was delicious. I’ve already been twice in less than 6 months and I don’t even live in the province. Every time I am in Banff, I will go back to the Balkan 👏

Enjoyed our early dinner experience here a lot.got the fig &thyme mule mocktail, beet dip with pita as an app, and lamb skewers as my main. The meat was so succulent with interesting spices. The servers were very attentive and I felt the cost was reasonable.

While visiting Banff, we decided to have lunch in this Mediterranean Restaurant. They are busy during midday. We ordered their Kalamari, Fries, Lamb Souvlaki, Lamb Chop, and Linguini Santorini. The spices and herbs are on point! I can taste the flavours soaked into the meat. Their pasta is also good. The portion is very generous amd service was quick.

This was my first trip to Banff, and after going through lots of options and discussions, we decided to stop by Balkan Banff — and I’m so glad we did! As soon as we walked in, we were amazed by the beautiful and aesthetic ambience. The vibe of the restaurant is just stunning. We tried their platter and cocktails — both were absolutely amazing and truly must-try items! The flavors and presentation completely blew us away. I would especially recommend going for lunch. A special shoutout to Abi, our server. She was incredibly professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. You can ask her anything regarding substitutions or recommendations, and she’ll guide you perfectly. Her service really elevated our experience and made our day. Thank you, Abi, for being such an amazing server!

I came here on a whim and enjoyed every bit of it. Sat on the bar table, both Jeremy + Olivia were really chill to talk to. The food was delicious and overall place was very lively. Katherina / Mala Jamal really kept the party going. She really motivated me out of my comfort zone and onto the dance floor. 🕺💃 Spanakopita - 10/10 - delicious. Veg and totally 🤯. I recommend. Whipped Spicy Feta Spread - 9/10 - really good. The spread was excellent and the pita was ok.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (almost 5 stars, but one lost to the chili pineapple drink 🥲) Me and my friends did a quick day trip to Banff, and stumbled upon what I can only describe as a foodie side quest reward: this hidden gem in Banff! 🎉 We started with the loaded fries and the duo dip combo (beetroot hummus + tzatziki = the dream team). Honestly, I would’ve been fine just living off that… but no, our stomachs had other plans. For mains we went all in: Alberta beef platter (chef’s kiss 👌), roasted chicken (juicy enough to bring a tear to your eye), edamame falafel (surprisingly life-changing), and the lamb wrap (like a warm hug in food form). Everything arrived hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The staff? Super friendly—like, “should we be best friends now?” friendly. Bonus points: lots of halal options, so everyone in our group left happy and full. 🙌 The only plot twist? The chili pineapple drink. Imagine being betrayed by fruit. 🍍🌶️💔 Wouldn’t recommend. Overall: highly recommend to friends, family, strangers, your mailman, and maybe even your enemies (so they’ll be too full and happy to bug you).

Great food and exceptional service. Went there during a trip to Canada and absolutely loved the drinks, food (loved the meat, pescatarian and vegetarian options, so yummy)! Definitely recommend 👍🏽👍🏽 Note- recommend making reservations over the phone if not in advance- wait time is real as their phone call recording says.

We were dining on the patio, and at the beginning they told us, “We can’t guarantee you’ll be able to move inside if it rains.” Still, we decided to enjoy sitting outside. Then, out of nowhere, it started pouring. I asked our server, just in case, if we could move inside, and they immediately prepared a table for us and guided us in. I was there with my parents, so it was such a big help! The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was excellent. Thank you so much!

Tried their tacos and the basin burrito — both were delicious! Fresh ingredients, great flavor, and well-balanced seasoning. Portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted authentic. Definitely worth coming back for more!

We are OBSESSED with magpie and stump. Whether we stop in for nachos after a long day of skiing or can’t resist a margarita during a browse in Banff… this is our go to. The food is FRESH, AUTHENTIC and GENEROUS! Nothing will beat the house made corn chips either. Service is always animated and promptly timed! Makes for a memorable experience.

After visiting the lakes, we were walking back to our car we came upon the delicious smelling Magpie & Stump and hurried in. I had a delicious jalapeño margarita and chicken quesadillas, and my son had the recommended chicken fajitas. They were both very good. We had a fantastic server from London, and the bar tender kept the drinks coming:)

Amazing choices of beer and Food. We ordered quesadillas, tacos and couple of beers. Loved the food, the vibe and felt bit neglected by the waiter as they would take time to come on check if we need anything. Waiter didn’t even bothered to ask if we need any desserts. But again it would be that one Individual. I would definitely go again if I am in BANFF

One of the friendliest places we were in while in Banff. The cocktails were brilliant, and the food sublime, all with great service. So good, we came back twice more during our stay with each experience living up to the last. The nachos are a must.

Nestled on the second floor of a charming building on Main Street in downtown Banff, Chuck's Steakhouse is a delightful blend of sophistication and casual comfort. This eatery boasts stunning views of Banff Avenue while serving up an impressive selection of locally sourced steaks, including grass-fed Wagyu and prime beef from Alberta’s Cowboy Trail. Each cut is expertly dry-aged in-house and grilled over mesquite wood before being finished with herbs and butter for that perfect flavor.
Our experience at Chuck’s was truly outstanding. We ordered the seasonal surf and turf, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The sides—macaroni and cheese and asparagus—were just as impressive. I’ll admit, I was skeptical about the honey in the mac and cheese, so we asked for it on the side. But wow—what a surprise! The touch of sweetness paired so well with the richness of the dish. I never would’ve thought to try it, but now I’m a fan. Great food, great service—Chuck’s is definitely worth the visit.

Not a bad steakhouse but what I ordered didn't surprise me. The "Alberta steaks" that are a main selling point at a lot of restaurants in the area including this one just have not impressed me and I don't think they are worth the money. The peppercorn sauce I got as well wasn't that impressive either as I have had better peppercorn sauces from other places. Overall not bad for a nice meal but don't expect to be wowed.

Lovely steak house atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff who can explain everything on the menu. Food was stunning of the eyes and even better on the palette. Our server wipped us up an amazing Cesar salad tableside and the steaks and sides were perfect. The salmon is unbelievably excellent. The steaks- perfect. The sides, quite complimentary! Black ale beer is a perfect companion for your meal. Would definitely do again. Not to be confused with Chucks Roadhouse!

Me and my wife wanted to spend our anniversary at a nice steakhouse and we did not go wrong with Chucks. Made a reservation and we arived 15 mins early and they got us a seat right away. In no time Jess, our server, was there with a smile on her face. She was the absolute best, very friendly, helpful and prompt. After we ordered, the food was on our table in no time and it was exceptional. The Wagyu tenderlion was the best steak we have ever eaten and was cooked to perfection. The sides were portioned well and tasted excellent. There was a good selection of alcohol and Jess was very fast at getting our drinks to us and refilling our water without even asking. After the meal they even offered a desert on the house for our occasion. The whole experience was amazing and very relaxing. Not rushed at all. We would recommend everyone to try the steaks here and to go to Chuck's if ever given the oppurtunity.

Had an incredible experience at Chuck’s! They had a special on that included an appetizer, steak, three sides, and dessert, which was an amazing value for the quality and portions. We also ordered the tableside Caesar and mushrooms, plus a bottle of wine. The steak was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily one of the I’ve had. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dinner after a day in the mountains. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Overall, a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend for anyone craving a great steak in a warm, welcoming setting.

It’s not easy to make our family feel satisfied at same time. 2 kids, 2 seniors and we couple. Actually we go to the Maple Leaf at first. The lady at front desk refused me not only by her words but also by her attitude-no eye contact while refusing. We are lucky to turn to Chuck’s. The lady at front desk here did not answer us very quickly. She checked then let us in. Everything is just right. I have to say, kids menu really shocked me. So good quality and so big portions! Amazing! Prime ribeye has a little bit more fat for us. The original beef flavour is excellent even without black pepper and salt. If you don’t like too much seaning or sauce, this could be a good option. For my parents, I chose beef rib as suggested. True tender, easy for seniors. They like the sauce flavour. Charred broccoli is much better than in other restaurants. It’s another surprise. While we are having dinner, our waitress (sorry I didn’t ask her name) forget our drinks. When we got the bill, this part is free for us. I like their work style. Humble, amiable, facing problems directly and taking the initiative to assume responsibilities. A truly worthy restaurant!

We had dinner at Chuck’s our last night in Banff after several people recommended it. It did not disappoint! Chucks was the best meal we had our entire trip. From the minute we walked in we were treated like royalty. We had just gotten married and they made a point to acknowledge that with complimentary bubbles and over the top service. Our server Tommy was incredible! He was the best server we have had at any restaurant and we travel a lot. He recommended an amazing Canadian wine and made the experience memorable. We got the burrata, table side Caesar, and the Ribeye-all not to be missed! Also the banana cream pie was one of the best desserts we have ever had! We had dinner at the highly recommended 1888 chophouse the night prior to this and there was no comparison. We would come back to Chuck’s over and over! Thank you Tommy for the incredible service and the entire crew for making this a memorable experience for our special time in Banff!

Super happy with my experience at Chucks! A beautiful view and the beef was unreal, we ordered the prime sirloin and prime rib as suggested by the waiter. We also got 3 sides, French fries, broccolini and mushrooms. I would say mushrooms were the least favorite, expected more flavour as it’s was just cooked in butter. Highly recommend!!

Indian Curry House-Banff is a popular dining spot on Banff Avenue, offering a relaxed atmosphere and a South Indian menu inspired by the owner's home-cooked dishes. The restaurant caters to the Alberta palate with dishes like Pure Alberta Beef Vindaloo. Visitors can enjoy lunch specials from Monday to Thursday. The restaurant also offers a variety of curries, including Mango Chicken, Goat Curry, and Chicken Korma.
I tried eating at New Indian Curry House – New Asian Buffet recently, and it was a great experience! The food was fresh and full of flavor, especially the dessert options. There was a good mix of Indian and Asian dishes, and everything tasted authentic. The staff was friendly, and the buffet was well-stocked and clean. I’ll definitely be going back

The food is not bad considering that it is Banff. It is spicy and crowded during peak season and time. It was very crowded and service was quick enough. I will not call it fine dining experience but its nice Indian restaurant. The curries are pricey. e. g butter chicken is above 22 and remember they charge gratuity 15% for more than 6 people. So just be mindful when you give tip

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My wife and I had an amazing meal and time at Indian Curry House, Banff! The food was absolutely delicious – the goat curry is a must-try and one of the best I’ve had. We also really appreciated that both the goat and chicken are halal, which made our dining experience even better. The service was top-notch – the servers were very hospitable, cordial, and friendly. A special shoutout to Ranjith, who went above and beyond to make our visit so enjoyable. The restaurant has ample seating, a warm atmosphere, and is conveniently located. Whether you’re visiting Banff or a local looking for authentic Indian flavors, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Restaurant
Ramen Arashi Banff is a hidden gem located on the third floor of the Sundance Mall, known only to locals. The compact cafe space offers a delightful ramen experience with a variety of options, including vegetarian versions. Despite its unassuming appearance, this restaurant keeps patrons coming back for more with its piping hot bowls of Japanese-style ramen made from traditional and fresh ingredients.
Great food, service and prices :) If youre looking for flavorful, authentic ramen, this is the place to be! I dont remember what its called, but the chicken and rice bowl was simple but good. The large is definitely more of a meal size rather than the smaller size would be. Got there around 4-4:30, so there was no wait at all. It started getting busier around 5:30 when we were leaving.
Jess — Google review
Good portion size and decent taste. I have it a 4 stars only because the tofu add on to my ramen had a weird taste like it’s spoiled or not fresh… I ordered the arashi signature ramen, and it’s VERY spicy, the broth especially. The service was great and attentive despite being so busy. There’s quite a bit of a wait time since it’s fully packed.
Coline — Google review
There was a line prior to coming but we were prepared for that. Easily worth the wait and the bad reviews sound like bad planning on the other reviewers part. I cant speak for any other items on their menu but I was looking for a Tonkotsu base ramen and their signature Arashi may have been the best ramen I've had to date. I eat quite a lot of tonkotsu ramen and this was very creamy and rich with lots of flavour. Portions were excellent. Staff were friendly and kind. Also Japanese staff working here as well so very authentic. Not sure why it took me so long to try the ramen here as I regularly visit Banff living in Calgary, but I'll always come here before I leave.
JP T — Google review
This is a really popular Ramen restaurant in Banff and located right on the Banff Avenue (2nd floor of the Sundance Mall). We ordered Seaweed salad, Arashi and Veg Miso Ramen. While the Arashi was really good, their veg miso ramen was not that tasty. If you are looking to have a veg Ramen, I won’t recommend this place. Otherwise, I would totally recommend it. The service is really good. If visiting at the peak times, you may have to wait in a queue.
Neeraj G — Google review
Great small hole in the wall ramen shop. Don’t let the hole in the wall fool you. They are mighty in flavor. They have simple menu selection. Makes it easy to order. We ordered seafood ramen and their signature ramen. Both were delicious. We added extra toppings cause we were hungry. Their char siew for the ramen was very tasty. The restaurant has limited seating. They have a bench outside for folks waiting. Kitchen is by the entrance when you walk in and you can see their action.
Michael Y — Google review
Got recommended this place by two of my friends, so I had to come find out what the hype is about. We felt the popularity right away when there was a long line out the door looking like a 45 minute wait. They also had a sign saying they ran out of pork chashu unfortunately. With our stomachs rumbling we decided to do takeout instead and had our food in 20 minutes. We got an Arashi & Tonkotsu ramen with karaage and they were both INCREDIBLE. My girlfriend is usually a pretty slow eater but she was crushing her bowl (although we were also really hungry so that probably played a factor as well haha) I would say Toronto definitely has comparable ramen to this place but this was an S tier bowl of ramen.

Food .. 1000 Service.. 1000 Atmosphere...authentic If you love ramen or just barely like it...YOU need to RUN to Ramen Arashi. The lovers of ramen will want to live next door to this place, the non lovers will change their minds and become absolute fans of ramen. If there is a line..WAIT, you will not be disappointed. We stood in line with 3 people ahead of us and only waited 15-20 minutes. We were only in Banff for 4 nights and we ate here twice, it would have been 4 times but we didn't come across this quaint little restaurant until our 3rd night. My husband got the Spicy Tonkatsu and the miso tonkatsu. I got the veggie tantan both nights. Again...YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE.

We had dinner at Ramen Arashi in Banff and were blown away by how good the food was—easily some of the best ramen I’ve had in a long time. During our meal, there was a minor accident, but the way the staff and management handled it was truly impressive. They addressed it immediately, offered fair compensation, and showed a level of professionalism that deserves recognition. Great food, great service, and a team that genuinely cares. Highly recommend if you're in Banff and craving quality ramen.

The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is a luxurious castle-like lodging nestled in the Canadian Rockies. This historic hotel offers upscale amenities such as a golf course, refined restaurants, and a top-notch spa. The well-appointed rooms, on-site dining options including Balkan Restaurant and 1888 Chop House, and recreational facilities like indoor and outdoor pools make it an ideal choice for indulgence.
My wife and I came to celebrate our honeymoon at the Fairmont Banff and selected a fairmont Gold standard king room. We stayed From October 27-November 1st. the moment we hit reception we felt welcomed and cared for. The bellhop was quick to take our bags to the room and guide us to check in. The concierge team for Fairmont Gold was extremely kind and personally guided us from reception to our room. He explained all the services included with fairmont Gold and provided a great rundown of the hotel facilities and restaurant. The Fairmont Gold Concierge helped us plan dinners, activities, and had great advice about how to best explore the nearby parks and sites. The food at breakfast and the evening canapés was generous, delicious, and enough to practically live on during our whole stay. It had different items and never felt repetitive. Even outside of the breakfast and canapés hours we could always count on getting a pastry and tea in the Fairmont lounge. The cleaning team that tidied our room each day made it feel new every time we came back and always left something special like chocolates or a folded towel into an animal. Apart from all that, the hotel itself is located in an exceptionally beautiful area. The Bow River and falls just next to the hotel are incredible and walking the golf course while it was closed for the winter season brought us within 7 feet of a family of deer and other wildlife. The service, the beautiful rooms, the historic feel and charm of the castle, the absolutely stunning setting make the Fairmont Banff perfect.

Booked four rooms for a company retreat. Historical building and grounds but overall well maintained and updated. Housekeeping did enter the room for turndown while I was in the shower which was very evident so that wasn’t great. Dined at 1888 Chophouse and Castello as well as utilized in room dining. Food and service at both restaurants was ok, not great. In room dining was good. VIP service team was amazing! They assisted with transportation, reservations, service requests, meeting supplies, etc. Overall a great hotel I would come back to with a few tweaks.

My stay at this high-class hotel was absolutely unforgettable — a perfect mix of luxury, history, and mystery. The property itself feels like stepping into an old European castle, with grand stone walls, elegant chandeliers, and corridors filled with whispers of the past. Every corner tells a story, and the atmosphere is enchanting both day and night. The highlight? The legendary “Room 873.” Known for its eerie tale of the bride ghost, the room adds a thrilling layer of mystery to the hotel’s charm. Guests still talk about the strange sounds, flickering lights, and the feeling of being watched. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, it’s an unforgettable experience that gives the hotel its unique soul. Service was impeccable — staff were professional yet warm, food was divine, and the view from the tower made me feel like royalty. If you love elegant history mixed with a little supernatural adventure, this castle hotel is a must-visit. A truly magical 5-star experience!

My family has been going to the Fairmont Banff Springs for over 30 years, and it still amazes me every time. The views are unbelievable, the setting is pure magic, and the service somehow keeps getting better with every visit. The beauty of the historical hotel is something I'll never get tired of. The food and drinks never disappoint; everything here feels effortless and top quality. I also love the Le Labo scent they use throughout the hotel. It’s such a subtle but memorable touch. And the sleep here is next level. The beds, the quiet, the mountain air; you always wake up feeling completely restored. I always wish I was staying longer. Truly one of the most special places in the world. The good thing is that I've already got my next visit confirmed!

Even before we checked in, I was impressed with the incredible service provided by the Fairmont Banff Springs. I had called ahead to let them know I was proposing to my longtime girlfriend before arriving. Over the phone, they informed me about the process for obtaining approval for engagement photographs at the hotel, stated that champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries would be waiting for us in the room upon arrival, and were incredibly friendly from the beginning. Upon arrival, James at the front desk was more accommodating, welcoming, and friendly than we could've imagined. He took us on a private tour of the hotel, showed us our room, and introduced us to our Fairmont Gold concierge. James even coordinated pushing our dinner reservations back so we would have more time to unwind in our room before dinner. All in all, James made the introduction of the Fairmont Banff Springs one we'll never forget. Upon returning to the room from dinner, James had left a personalized note with day passes to the spa for the next day, congratulating us on our engagement, in our room. He personally helped make our stay a 10 out of 10 experience. Overall, the staff at the Banff Springs helped make our trip unforgettable, even the Champagne and Chocolate-Covered strawberries in the room came with a handwritten note from Arden on the Royal Service Team. The team at the spa was absolutely wonderful, and even the wait staff in the 1888 Steak House was wonderful. We can't wait to return and make more unforgettable adventures in Banff at the Fairmont Banff Springs
Evan K — Google review
The facility itself is amazing, with wonderful amenities and a friendly, professional staff. However, my experience at the Spa felt different from when I first visited 15 years ago. The masseurs were excellent, and the treatment room was very comfortable, but the main dressing and relaxation areas—and especially the spa/pool area—seemed to lack the same level of attentive service. I noticed towels, robes, and shoes on the floor, wet towels left unattended, and lounge chairs unoccupied with no staff around to maintain the space. The mineral pool was less tingly and bubbly than I remembered, though the view and the massage itself more than made up for it. Overall, the Hotel/Spa experience could benefit from a bit more attention to detail. When spending close to $1,000 for two people, the goal should be a truly seamless and exceptional experience, not was not our case.
Nick J — Google review
We spent several nights, and we were treated so well by everyone we encountered. Our room had exceptional views, and plenty of room for us. The meals and the spa were so above expectations but the teams of staff from concierges to housekeeping to bell staff to servers really made our stay feel like a VIP luxury break! Thanks to all the teams we met. See you again.

Our stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of — the service is exceptional, warm, and genuinely attentive in every detail. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel special, and the entire atmosphere exudes peace and relaxation. The setting is breathtaking — nestled in the mountains, with views that feel straight out of a postcard. The rooms are elegant and cozy, and every part of the hotel, from the spa to the dining, is world-class. The spa experience in particular was deeply rejuvenating and truly made us feel pampered. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect, and feel completely cared for, this is it. The Fairmont Banff Springs is pure magic — we can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic place. We came here on our way out of Banff very early one morning (me wife and baby), the place was fairly quiet, but the treatment we got was so amazing I am compelled to write a review! Clarence every time he came by would interact with our 6-month old keeping her entertained, and she was thrilled! Made our experience incredible. Then the food and setting of course is awesome on its own. But this is the lasting memory of this place for us was the incredible staff particularly Clarence and our server Theo who was also very helpful. Highly recommend the Benny options and the bison sausage!

We loved the view, they gave us blanket to stay outside even with the cold. The service was perfect, caring and thoughtful people. We had the eggs and bison, it was good but small portion. And we had the chanterelle crepe with sour cream and added the smoked salmon, smoke salmon was delicious but the garlic in the crepe was overpowering for us. We learned afterwards that the chef is Mexican so I would recommend to take the Mexican inspired food. But we LOVED our experience and highly recommend!

Our dinner at the bistro was delicious and the restaurant offers a vegan options. Our host Leo and Sid were gracious and very accommodating. We preferred their dinner menu over breakfast since it has more variety. Our breakfast was a bad experience due to cooking errors. We ordered the truffle mash potatoes, Bison 3 ways (cured, steak, and sausage), pistachio cake, and sorbet (free for the birthday girl). We really liked the food and our server. If you haven't tried Bison before, try it! It has a meatier taste and apparently healthier than beef!

The views are lovely, the food is great, and the restaurant is ok :). This was one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere, ever. I would make a point to go back for the elk sausage and crafty ceasars. Definitely one of the top two spots in Banff for an incredible breakfast.

Wow! Go here for the views and enjoy the nearly Michelin level of food and service. The laid back atmosphere made it even better! It was our tenth anniversary and Bisheen (sp?) gave extraordinary service. We sat on the patio to enjoy the evening sunset highlighting the mountains. His suggestions of the crunchy vegetables with the trout and side of asparagus were superb. We were leaning towards the yummy sounding Brie but are so glad to try the unique appetizer of veggies and dips. The dried carrot chips were unique and I have never had dehydrated capers before! So unique! The pairing with a bottle of rose from BC at our server’s suggestion was fantastic!

Bear Street Tavern is a rustic and laid-back hangout located on Bear Street in Banff. It's known for serving thin-crust pizza and Canadian pub grub, along with a variety of craft beers on tap. The tavern offers a casual rooftop and street-level patio where visitors can enjoy their meals. Despite not having an extensive pizza menu, the quality of their pizzas is highly praised.
This place is really nice to have a lunch or dinner. I ordered Baked chicken wings and big bird pizza and I literally had best pizza of my entire life. It was so fresh and yummy that we ate 2 and packed 1 for dinner. I also loved their patio set up and they have those little heaters with fire on the table which kept us so warm on a chilly day. Me and my friends spent great time there. Our server was also really good and she had good recommendations for us sadly I don't remember her name now. But overall it was an amazing experience.

Great spot for pizzas and pints. We prefer sitting at the bar to better explore the ample bier offerings w the help of the friendly and knowledgeable bar keeps. The salad I had(see pic) had a delightfully light and zesty dressing, not overdone at all. The pepperoni they use is definitely a spicy blend which I prefer and cuts well w the salty cheesiness. The margherita pizza was nice but I really prefer more of the fresh sweet Italian basil w it to pair w the acidity and spice of the red sauce, but that’s just me. Glad we dropped in once again to enjoy the warm and lively atmosphere.

A very nice eatery in Banff, that has a great patio and as with a lot of restaurants in town, is also pet friendly. The staff was very accommodating and patient with our party of eight plus dog. The pizza and wings were great, though the Cubano was a bit too sauce heavy unfortunately, though still tasty. Overall an excellent experience.

Ended up coming twice during our trip to Banff because the pizza was so delicious and the vibes were perfect for after a long day of hiking. In our two trips we had the pepperoni pizza, elk pizza, and pineapple pizza all of which were fantastic. We also shared a French onion soup and the shrimp Bao; the shrimp Bao were very yummy but portions were a bit tiny for the price. The special beer was a boisenberry variant which had a lovely tang and acidity. Also tried the maple old fashioned which was very much on the sweeter side. Highly recommend!

We were able to eat at the bar with no reservation on a Friday night. Our bartender was super welcoming and offered great suggestions. We had two pizzas, but easily could have shared one. The unique chili oil and honey dipping sauce is amazing!! Great pizza choice if you are in Banff!

The restaurant is modern and beautifully designed, perfectly fitting Banff’s mountain theme. There are several seating areas across multiple floors, both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere is inviting, relaxed, and full of local character. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious, clearly made with quality ingredients. We ordered the elk pizza — creative and well-prepared. Personally, I might choose a different one next time, only because the elk flavor was subtle, more of a hearty protein addition than a distinct taste. Still, it was enjoyable and well-balanced. The French onion soup was outstanding — rich, flavorful, and just right for a cool day in Banff. The mozzarella and toasted bread were perfectly done. Overall, a great experience — wonderful service, good atmosphere, and food that reflects care and craftsmanship. “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) Keep doing what you do with excellence and kindness — it truly makes a difference.

The Godfather was an excellent pizza! They have a lovely Rosemary Chili Oil & honey 5 serve their pizza with which was unique! The caesar salad was alright.

Tied for the best meal I had on my two week holiday across Western Canada. And certainly the best lunch by far! We stopped in Banff on our way back to Calgary from Jasper to see the town one last time. We had quite a bit of time so we decided to have lunch and the place we picked wasn’t open until dinner time. The Bear Street Tavern was next-door. What a lucky surprise?! We sat in the courtyard outside and it was charming. The team waiting on us couldn’t be more pleasant or helpful. It’s not a huge menu, which we actually quite liked and I had the Tavern bowl, which was a super tasty kale based vegan salad. I had a chicken because I’m not a vegan, and this salad was incredibly good. The dressing with sublime, the taste and balance of flavour amazing. And it was huge, my husband and I could’ve shared it easily. My husband had the sub sandwich and it was so good really fresh wonderful Italian Chili peppers. I’m originally from New York and that sub sandwich looked really authentic. Did not have big expectations, and I loved this place . I would say it was more lunch than dinner but depends on what mood you’re in and how much food you had all day but you won’t go hungry here and they also do pizza .

We had an amazing waiter named Christian from Slovakia. He was helpful, friendly and encouraging. He told us that everything in the restaurant is made from internal secret recipes: hamburger mixes, soups, marinades, sauces, etc. the meal was so fresh!

A neat little corner diner-like restaurant. The food offered a sense of comfort like home cooking does. Really good eats to re-fuel for hiking, biking etc. I got a turkey club with corn and sweet potato soup. My mom got a chicken burrito with chips and salsa. Also got a mixed berry mocktail which was divine. Food came out quickly, within 15 minutes. Our server was also very kind and checked up on us throughout the meal, ensuring it was alright. Would recommend 😋

Maybe I shouldve tried something a little more interesting, but the Rundle Mnt breakfast was very average. The wildberry compote has a weird texture to me, the potatoes weren't super seasoned, and the eggs weren't seasoned at all. The french toast was pretty decent, though! The water is straight from the tap and has a bit of a chemical taste 😅 Service was fine, the place was quiet and had a southern feel.

Went for a late lunch on Tuesday. Not many customers except one other table with a big group. Our server was nice. Ordered the salmon plate and huevos rancheros. Both solid dishes. Nothing fancy just good food. It wasn’t a wow kinda meal but it got the job done if you’re hungry.

Stopped here to try something out of our usual places to eat in Banff and we're very happy! The waitress was super friendly and quick. It's a busy place so you can expect to wait for a seat around breakfast, we got lucky as a table just opened. The coffee tasted fresh and good, and the scrambled eggs were done just how I like them! 🍳

Best breakfast I’ve ever had - if we’re ever in Banff again, we’ll definitely be back. Pancakes were fluffy + light, berry compote was SO good. No upcharge for real/pure maple syrup (amazing). Potatoes and back bacon were both good - not too greasy. Tunnel Mountain was the perfect serving size. Quick service + super reasonably priced (around $20 per person including coffee, before tip). Overall, a great place for breakfast if you’re not looking for anything fancy/over the top.

The huevos rancheros were excellent! Blue corn tortillas were perfectly balanced between crunch and soft enough to cut, flavor was as good of a classic preparation as I’ve had. Service was friendly and prompt and seating is nice and cozy. Coffee was also above par for a cafe pour, and cup never went empty. Well done🤌

Nice welcoming atmosphere. Something about the place gave me a good vibe like I was back in New Mexico. I had the half sandwich (Club) and chicken tortilla soup. The sandwich was good, as was the soup. The soup had a little spice to it. The service was friendly and efficient. The place get packed very quickly.

Nestled in Alberta's Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fairmont Château Lake Louise is a luxurious mountain resort offering a range of activities and amenities. Originally established over 100 years ago as a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, the hotel now provides guided mountain tours, skiing in winter, hiking and canoeing in summer, kids camp, spa services, and exceptional dining options.
A wonderful stay in the Hotel. The staff were very responsive in sorting out a booking issue for us before our arrival. We pulled into the driveway and our bags were taken for us and minded as we wandered the grounds and along the Lake. The staff here are super polite, friendly and efficient. Check in was a breeze. The renovations had been completed since our last stay and our room was in the new wing with a lovely lake and mountain view. The new spa has also been finished but we didn't have time to indulge. We had dinner in the Fairview restaurant and again the service was very good and the dishes excellent. We took the Hotel's Lake Moraine shuttle on our second morning and despite the chilling wind it was a wonder to experience. We highly recommend this method of visiting the Lake when planning your stay. Lake Louise and the area are wonders to see but it's the hotel and its staff that really make the stay an effortless first class experience. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay an incredible memory. We'll be back!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the Fairmont experience is nothing short of majestic. Every detail—from the warm greeting at the door to the impeccable attention throughout my stay—made me feel like I was not just a guest, but royalty. The atmosphere blends historic elegance with modern sophistication. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, offering comfort, style, and breathtaking views that make it hard to leave. Every corner of the hotel speaks to quality and timeless charm. What truly sets the Fairmont apart is its service. The staff operate at a level of professionalism and grace that is rarely seen. They anticipated needs I didn’t even know I had, and every request was met with genuine care and a smile. It’s hospitality at its finest. Dining was an experience in itself—every meal crafted like a work of art, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Whether it was breakfast, afternoon tea, or dinner, it felt like a celebration of taste and refinement. From the serene spa to the elegant common spaces, every moment at the Fairmont offered peace, luxury, and a sense of grandeur that is truly worthy of kings and queens. If you’re looking for more than just a stay—but an experience that elevates the senses and renews the spirit—the Fairmont is unrivalled.

It was a relaxing stay. We appreciated the activities planned throughout the day for our daughter including kids check-in, pumpkin decorating, and smores-making. Great location as it was right next to Lake Louise, however, further from town than we anticipated. Parking is not validated for dining at the hotel. We truly appreciate the efforts of the housekeeping team in making our stay comfortable. Bell staff was very helpful and efficient. Overall, wonderful experience from start to finish.

Banff is an incredibly beautiful place, and the Fairmont Hotel, located right in front of Lake Louise, makes the experience truly special. The view is absolutely spectacular. We stayed in a lake-view room, which was excellent and very different from the standard rooms that don’t face the lake. Honestly, if your room doesn’t have a lake view, it may not be worth paying the premium for this hotel. When we first checked in, the receptionist wasn’t very helpful and gave us a corner room with a limited view. I went back to the front desk and explained that it was my wife’s birthday, and asked if they can provide me with a room with better view as we came all the way from another part of the world as well. Another staff member, Maain, kindly and patiently took the time to check all available rooms. He managed to find us one with a stunning view and even surprised us with two glasses of champagne and some chocolates. We don’t drink, but we truly appreciated his thoughtfulness and warm hospitality.

This was a dream destination for our 40th wedding anniversary. The staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful. The lake view from our hotel room was just awesome. Everyone we met at Fairmont Chateau from checking in to the hotel at the concierge desk to the restaurant where we celebrated our anniversary made us feel so special. We stayed at the Gold level in the hotel. They couldn’t have been more accommodating! Remembering and wishing us a happy anniversary with chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of wine! We felt very special and cared about. The service was impeccable from the concierge, housekeeping , spa, restaurant and daily breakfasts and cocktail hour at the lounge. Simply amazing! Thank you for all you did to make our anniversary a memorable celebration.

From the elegant rooms to the thoughtful amenities and dining experiences, everything reflected world-class hospitality. Whether enjoying the sunrise alone lakeshore trail or relaxing in the Basin Glacier Water every moment felt elevated and memorable. A perfect combination of natural beauty and five-star service — this is a place that captures your heart and makes you want to return again and again.

Amazing view from the 8th floor lake view king room. We were so grateful to have been upgraded to this floor upon check in. Prior to check in I requested a higher floor room and we were thrilled and surprised they gave us the top floor with a view right down the middle of the lake! The check in process was very smooth and informative and they let us check in a couple hours early as well which was fantastic. It was such a dream to wake up and go to sleep overlooking the lake. The rooms are quite small though but very nice. Loved the Nespresso machine in the room. Amazing front desk help and concierge help. I loved the text option for contacting concierge with questions. Took the free mixology class taught by Brock which was SO much fun and we highly recommend signing up for that if you are visiting. Roasted complimentary s'mores at night on the fire and also utilized the hotel pricing for canoes. Yes the hotel is a splurge but such a stress free and luxurious way to visit Lake Louise. We also completed the Big Beehive hike the day of checkout and it was of course fantastic. We dined at Alpine Social for dinner and it was tasty and also the biggest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had haha.

Awesome lunch place in Canmore city centre. We originally wanted to get brunch from a place across the street, but it was a 45 min wait, so we opted to get lunch here instead. We had the chicken burrito and the Mediterranean bowl with freshly made strawberry kiwi lemonade. The food was very fresh and delicious! It was around $55 for the items we ordered, but the portion sizes were very good and overall I think it was good value for the price we paid in today’s economy. Place was very busy, but staff were also very accommodating and friendly and brought our meal out to us on the patio. A highly recommended lunch spot if you're looking for something healthy and fresh, that will leave you satiated!

Randomly found this place while driving by looking for something quick, healthy, filling, and delicious. Family loved it! Several kid friendly options! The dishes we ordered: green curry, Mediterranean bowl, and Vegan burrito were all loaded with good quality, well-cooked vegetables. The service was amazing and they handled allergies extremely well! This is a must-visit!!!!

We stopped by for lunch and really enjoyed it. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the vegan options were great — creative without being too heavy. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and although it was busy, we were lucky to get a seat. It’s the kind of place I’d definitely come back to. Thanks for a lovely meal in Canmore.

The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed — a nice spot for a late morning meal. Service was pleasant and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was just okay overall. Nothing particularly memorable or unique. One downside was the sourdough bread — it was really hard. Biting into it actually hurt my gums, which definitely took away from the experience. On the bright side, the drinks were quite good. Both the coffee and the hot chocolate were well made, flavorful, and comforting — probably the highlight of the meal. In summary, it’s an alright place if you’re not expecting too much. Great drinks, decent service, but the food (especially the bread) could use some improvement.

There were 3 of us adults and one child. We ordered a soup, wrap, Mediterranean bowl and a grilled cheese sandwich. All of them came with a side of spiced popcorn on a side. Tasted fresh and healthy. We didn’t eat popcorn, I wish they had different options for the taste. It was a little crowded and loud but we liked it overall.

Shoku Izakaya is a laid-back restaurant in Banff, offering a mix of Japanese and Pan-Asian cuisine. Led by renowned chef Stephane Prevost, this izakaya-style eatery presents an array of authentic dishes such as sushi, ramen, grilled skewers, and takoyaki. The cozy space is adorned with delicate paper lanterns, creating a Tokyo-inspired ambiance.
I have been to many a Japanese restaurants all over the world. I love sushi. So I was very surprised to find this little gem one night. Service was great, sushi was fantastic. Fresh cuts of sashimi and nigiri. The negitoro roll was good. Thick cuts of fish and value wise very good. On top of that their ice cream (although not homemade) of black sesame and red bean was one of the best I have ever had. We were only a table of 4. Dinner was so good, I brought our entire family of 14 back later in the week. Again great service for our 2nd time there, they are run like a well oiled machine. All the appetizers we had, agedashi tofu, chicken karaage (great batter and so tender), meat skewers, pork belly buns, hamachi Kama, etc were really good. And of course the star of the menu, their sushi, everyone agreed was fantastic. Everyone had ice cream, and some like myself ordered 2. Drinks were great. Never heard of chocolate sake, but it’s like drinking Nutella, according to my wife who enjoyed it. This was by far the best restaurant we tried in Banff.

We came to Banff for my birthday weekend, and we were told “you have to try Shoku.” And it absolutely did not disappoint. I’m a very picky eater, and I wanted one of everything on the menu! It’s very apparent a lot of thought has gone into the menu and the food - and it’s served as soon as it’s ready so we were able to eat the whole time we were there. The drinks are amazing! Perfect portion sizes. Everything was so fresh. And extremely reasonably priced for Banff! I would make the 3 hour trip from home just to eat at Shoku again. Service was top notch and the atmosphere didn’t miss! Such a cute little sit down restaurant and we loved every minute of our dining experience! Hats off to you guys!
Kortney A — Google review
Shoku Izakaya completely blew me away. This place is everything you want after a long, rainy day — comforting, flavourful, and full of heart. We stopped in after a full day of hiking in the rain, and honestly, I’m so sad I can’t come back regularly! We had the daily ramen special with tender pork belly — rich, soothing, and exactly what I needed. I added a bit of spice for a kick, and it was perfection. The spicy calamari? Unreal. Crispy, seasoned just right, and easily one of the best I’ve had. We also grabbed some sushi to go 🍣, and even that was impressive — fresh, well-made, and held up beautifully for a late-night bite. Add in a couple of drinks, amazing service, and a cozy atmosphere, and you’ve got yourself the perfect spot. You can tell the team genuinely cares — every detail is done with love. If you’re anywhere near, Shoku Izakaya is a MUST. I’d go back in a heartbeat if I could.

Great food, skewers a bit pricey for what they are but sushi was really good and nice portion for price. Would recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. Highly recommend the ika (squid) skewer, it was the best squid I ever had, super soft and has a slightly spicy flavor.

Ordered daily ramen (tantan), aburi salmon roll, karaage bowl, takoyaki, and curry rice. Curry was quite salty. Karaage's skin was delicious, but the veggies were so-so. Takoyaki has only a small tako in it. Food was good but didn't exactly blow our minds. Staff was really friendly, she checked on us a few times all sweet and smiles!
Akai — Google review
Food was fresh and really tasty, just a bit pricey. Service was lovely and super quick. I was honestly a little disappointed they didn’t have ramen on the dinner menu since that’s what I came for, but hopefully I’ll get to try it next time!
Vicky C — Google review
One should first be aware that this is more of a Japanese-fusion place, but once that’s out of the way the food is brilliantly conceived and executed. Lots of local produce on the menu that is smartly put together as well as some old Japanese favourites (eg black cod) that all hits the spot. Service was good and got us a table quickly around 8:30pm.

Incredible food. So tasty. Good quick service as well, though we were early for dinner- just at the end of happy hour (got a beer in for $6- Banff Ave ipa- of course they also have the Japanese lagers and lots of sake). A great cafe to visit while in Banff! I got espresso, roasted root veg, berry brioche and a banana croissant. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The toasted bread was crisp and fluffy. The berry brioche had just come out so it was warm and soft. Highly recommend!

The café was always busy, with a queue of customers waiting to get in. There were seats available inside, on the patio, and in shady spots in the alley. We arrived too late to order a breakfast sandwich, but the smoked sandwich we chose as a substitute was excellent. The homemade sourdough bread was fresh and crispy after being heated, and the meat was juicy and flavorful! For dessert, we ordered the almond croissant. It was flaky and fresh, with a delightful crispy almond topping. Lovely place with friendly staff, highly recommend!

If there‘s a queue, the coffee must be good! This rule of thumb proved to be true once again. The coffee is great and the pastries look amazing. The Almond croissant was out of this world! If you get here and there is no seating available just get in the queue, the turnaround on the tables is quite quick

I saw a lot online about this cafe and it even exceeded my expectations! Perhaps slightly overpriced, but a perfect place for a brunch/light lunch. Excellent coffee. Queue was always long but moved relatively quickly. The GF brownie was amazing! I did not try a pastry but they looked amazing.

Wild Flour is a lovely spot in Banff if you’re craving fresh baked goods and a cozy café vibe. The pastries and breads are excellent – the croissants were buttery and flaky, and the sourdough is worth taking home. Coffee and lattes were good, though not always the most consistent, and prices are on the higher side (pretty normal for Banff). The café does get busy during peak times, so expect a bit of a line, but the staff are generally friendly and efficient. Great place to relax with a coffee or grab something to fuel up before exploring the mountains.
Vishaka P — Google review
We tried the mocha, cinnamon bun, and almond croissant, everything was great, but the almond croissant was truly on another level. The service was good, and the atmosphere was cozy. Overall, a nice place to stop by for coffee and pastries in Banff.

The service is great, the coffee is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the food is fresh! I only ordered an Americano and chocolate croissant but I saw how delectable all their other pastries and sandwiches looked. If there was anything I could say that would make this place perfect - is I wish there was just a wee bit more chocolate in the chocolate croissant. This is a busy bakery/cafe! Be prepared for a lineup during busy times and possibly needing to grab a seat outside (which is also beautiful).

Rundle Bar at Fairmont Banff Springs is a stylish hotel bar offering handcrafted cocktails, beer, and wine with scenic views and live music. Situated in the heart of the historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, it provides one of the best restaurant views in Banff. Named after Mount Rundle, this award-winning bar overlooks the stunning mountainscape and serves signature cocktails like the Mountain Series, inspired by various Fairmont locations across the Canadian Rockies.
We visited Rundle Bar for Afternoon Tea to celebrate a birthday at the end of May. It was a fantastic experience! Here are some key takeaways: - It was a little confusing to find at first, as when you arrive (at the second level), you have to walk into the restaurant, past the bar, to a hostess stand. It’s a hard to see and while there were staff walking right by us, no one guided us through. - That being said, we are very grateful that staff took the time to read our notes that we were celebrating a birthday. The hostess said Happy Birthday and so did our server. Marco was fantastic as our server, going above and beyond, even offering to take photos of us without being asked. You must ask for him if you visit. Somebody give the man a raise! - For those wondering, the view alone is worth going for. 100%. - I will say that service did feel a little bit rushed - it could have been spread out a bit more so we could savour the experience. They definitely bring the food out very quickly! - While the sandwiches were alright (not exceptional), what you are paying for is the experience. Between the sparkling wine, the adorable tea timer, choosing from a variety of teas, and the bite size desserts, it makes for a one-of-kind experience in a historic hotel in Banff. Highly recommend!

This was my second time visiting. Upscale bar venue with signature drinks, extensive variety of other liquor and small food menu. Service is attentive and helpful. Atmosphere quiet, comfortable and a fabulous view of the mountains if you seat yourself near the back. I had a signature drink but it wasn’t very remarkable. I enjoyed the lobster roll and my friend had the hummus dish. She also had the espresso martini- she raved about it. We both really enjoyed our food and it arrived in a timely manner. I was surprised by the portions! Very satisfied!

Arrived after a long day on tour bus. We are staying at the Fairmont, so not interested in going to far. Not hungry enough for a full dinner, so we settled on the Rumble Bar. It's a beautiful space, and the views out the windows are breathtaking. The space is well appointed, but not especially for our party of six. The modern looking tables and chairs didn't lend themselves to being pushed together. We made it work. The drinks and food are overpriced, but you're at a Fairmont. We ordered a couple drinks and sandwiches. I got the Ember Cocktail, and my spouse ordered a Amber Ale. Good choices. We tried a Lobster Roll and Pork Belly Bowl. While we were waiting they brought us some nuts and popcorn. Which was delicious and took the edge off the hunger. Lucky for us, because it took a bit to server our food. The Lobster Roll was okay, but not up to Fairmont standards. It was more of a Maine style, more like lobster salad. And there was more roll than lobster. The Pork Belly very good, warm flavorful, and a good portion. There are plenty of other great places to dine. We won't be coming back to this one.

Rundle Bar at Fairmont Banff Springs had amazing drinks and an atmosphere that was nothing short of spectacular. The mixologists were incredible and truly made the experience even better. I would definitely return.

We wanted a unique experience on our honeymoon and decided to book the tea service. I preface this with the fact my husband and I do not normally eat “this type of food.” Overall the service was unique and very enjoyable besides the few sandwiches we did not enjoy for personal preference. The views are absolutely stunning. The staff here was nice enough to make sure we felt cerebrated during our honeymoon and went above and beyond in this area which was greatly appreciated.

Afternoon Tea at the Banff Springs Hotel What a wonderful experience! The views were absolutely stunning and made the afternoon feel extra special. The tea service was delightful, and Sandy was such a gracious and attentive host—her service really made the experience memorable. Between the elegant tea and the breathtaking scenery, it was a truly fantastic afternoon. Highly recommended!

I am not sure if the people give 4.6 on food or the decor or atmosphere. The food was the most awful food one would ever eat. I don't want to talk but people should be aware it will kill their liver with the kind of food they prepare. The management should urgently consider to change.

Tim Hortons is a Canadian chain known for its premium-blend coffee made with 100% Arabica beans sourced from renowned growing regions. In addition to their signature coffee, they offer specialty beverages like lattes, cappuccinos, and real fruit Quenchers. The menu also includes light fare, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and the popular Tim Bits. With a beautiful location in Banff offering scenic mountain views, it's a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists.
I recently visited Tim Hortons Banff and wanted to share my experience. Overall, I was impressed with the quality and consistency of the food and beverages. The service was efficient, and the staff specially Resy and Theresa were courteous and attentive. I appreciated the clean and welcoming atmosphere of the location, which made my visit even more enjoyable.

The coffee was good i love how the coffee was made. chai latte was also great overall highly recommend this place for coffee lovers very reasonable price too they have kiosk to cater lots of people they have also parking area but limited only to customers very near to trail areas and beautiful mountain

tried the chicken bowl at Tim Hortons today, but I was a bit disappointed. The rice didn’t taste fresh and wasn’t cooked very well — kind of dry and not flavorful. The chicken was okay, but overall, the meal didn’t meet my expectations. I usually enjoy Tim Hortons, but this dish could definitely be improved. Totally disappointed
Jagmeet S — Google review
We visited the Tim Hortons in Banff last night and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We ordered a meal worth around $60–$70, including three chicken bowls, one veggie bowl, garlic bread, and Timbits & coffees etc. The rice in all the bowls was extremely hard and seemed like it was scraped from the bottom , making it very difficult to eat. The Timbits were overly soaked in syrup and far too sweet, and the garlic bread had a bitter or sour taste, almost like it was old or not fresh. Overall, we were quite unhappy with the food quality and taste. We really hope the management looks into improving food preparation and freshness, especially given Banff’s reputation as a tourist spot.

Great stop in Banff! Friendly staff greeted us right away, and the coffee was hot and satisfying. The pastries looked fresh and the breakfast wrap hit the spot. Clean seating, efficient service, and a convenient location for a quick bite before exploring the mountains. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed with my experience today. I went in person to place my order, but received the wrong one. They added maple even though we didn’t ask for it. I went back to get it replaced, and the second time, they forgot the hash browns — which were included the first time. The third attempt, they handed over the sandwich without grilling it. I don’t understand how it was so difficult to get the order right, especially since I ordered the exact same thing yesterday and the day before at the Canmore Tim Hortons, and it was made perfectly both times. This location really needs to pay more attention to customer orders and consistency.

They were super busy this morning but well staffed and served the orders quickly without any mistake on my order. I like that they served my food on a ceramic plate since I wanted to dine in the restaurant. Always has been a good Tim Hortons location to visit 🙂

During my recent travels, I made a pit stop at Subway, the casual counter-serve chain known for its customizable sandwiches and salads. Nestled conveniently off the main road, this location in Banff offers a delightful respite amidst stunning Canadian Rockies scenery. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, perfect for both locals and tourists seeking a quick bite. While ordering my meal—an appetizing chicken and bacon bowl alongside my husband's sub—I appreciated the staff's friendly demeanor.
I ordered through uber and there was no drivers available & I had to pick up the food myself. Upon arrival, I explained the situation and the workers there helped me out. The subs were freshly made and really delicious. Good service and good food. Couldn’t ask for more.

“I had a good experience at Subway today. The staff was friendly and quick with preparing my order. I liked how I could customize my sub with fresh veggies and sauces. The bread was soft and fresh, and everything tasted good. However, I felt the portion of protein was a bit small for the price. Overall, it’s a reliable spot when you want something quick and relatively healthy.”
Megha P — Google review
Had a really disappointing experience at this Subway today. The employee, Ramon, made my veggie sandwich without changing his gloves after handling meat, which is a big deal for someone who doesn’t eat meat for dietary or personal reasons. I asked him to change gloves, and he just ignored it. On top of that, he barely put any veggies on the sandwich—even after I asked him twice to add more. It felt like he was rushing and didn’t really care about the quality or the customer. Really frustrating experience. If you care about cleanliness or getting what you paid for, I’d skip this location or hope someone else is working.

They don’t know how to deal with customers and the don’t wear name badges so can’t point out the guy who refused to put toppings by saying we can’t do that and while getting drinks brisk lemon is getting out from pepsi dispenser. When we asked them to check the issue they said we don’t have time you can buy bottles. They haven’t grilled the wraps properly. If i have options for negative starts i will give them 5.

I am a long time local and have come here tons of times with the best service everyone is always nice and kind. However today was the opposite. The lady named Parmeet I think is how you spell her name. She called me sir I normally don’t care but she just looked me up and down judged me on what I was wearing. I order the turkey ranch and she said you are only allowed to have 3 toppings I said I ordered last night and I got to have 4 and never in my life heard of subway having a limit on veggies I don’t mind a small amount I just wanted my regular toppings I always get for years. Then she was being rude. I know I got a bit short but never have had such a starting ann order experience like that. When it was toasted and I was asking for my toppings hoping I could get my 4th one the other lady was rude as well. I asked for pepper and she dumps so much in the sandwich basically making it unedible. I ate half before I had to throw it out. I am super disappointed the night staff is way better if I try going again I will look out for those 2 because no one should be judged for how they look and if I wanted 4 toppings I would of been willing to pay an extra dollar but now my food was ruined by so much pepper.
Samantha M — Google review
Located just off the main drag, with a couple tables inside and outside. Staff try to move through the line quickly. With two staff putting toppings on it was challenging when trying to order 3 subs and both staff were asking questions. When explaining it was difficult to listen to both of them at the same time they continued to both ask questions. One staff seemed irritated that questions weren’t being answered quickly making the experience unnecessarily stressful. Tables outside were not clean. Food was as expected and this place was good for a quick meal to get back to exploring Banff.

Hankki in Banff is a Calgary-based Korean restaurant located on Buffalo Street, offering affordable and delicious Korean food. The menu features popular items like corndogs with options like mozzarella sausage combo and the 'ugly potato,' which is coated in potatoes. Customers praise the great prices, quick service, and incredible flavors made with fresh ingredients. The Korean BBQ cupbop and honey butter fries are highly recommended dishes.
It was a great restaurant in Banff town with reasonable pricing. For about $15 or under of a rice bowl, I got plenty of food. We came on a Sunday during lunch time and the restaurant was crowded, but we didn't have to wait for a long time to get the food. Food was fresh and tasted delicious! They also sell dessert, which I didn't try but they looked good! Will definitely come back again and try their dessert!

Good fast food. Small area with little seating inside, but there's a long bench along the outside under an overhang. Seems to be quality fresh ingredients. I liked the glass window into the small kitchen area so you can see your meal being put together. We tried the level 1 spicy sauce which had a bit of a bite. Depending on how hungry, one large bowl was good to share for two. All the rice is at the bottom, so mix well if you don't want to finish with just rice.

Went here on a Tuesday night. Ordered 2 bowls and some honey buttered fries. The bowls were quite tasty and good value. The fries were a little strange since they had a sweet taste to it. Could not finish the fries. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Then got a mango bingsu for dessert which was delicious! Would definitely recommend this place. Tastes very authentic.

Sky Bistro is a high-end Canadian restaurant located at the summit station of Banff Gondola, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains from its third-floor vantage point. The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows and a changing menu that highlights local ingredients such as Alberta beef, British Columbia salmon, and prairie-grown vegetables.
The restaurant is quite budget friendly. It had an amazing view of the mountains and were able to sit by the window. I didn't get the name of the waitress that served us, but she was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and it tasted great. We had a salmon and mash meal. The only thing I didn't quite like was the cocktail. It had too much alcohol compared to the glass size. It all depends on your taste buds, but overall it wasn’t too bad.

After a beautiful nice hike up to the top of Sulfur Mtn my daughter and I worked up an appetite. We made Reservations for her birthday at the sky bistro over a month ago and were happy we did! The food was very delicious, flavorful and tender! Our server, Charlotte was awesome. She was very informative of the menu and gave us her favorites. We had the butter herb bread which is a must! So light and tasty and great pairing with the seafood chowder. The flavors and taste of the soup was amazing. The bacon and the Tobiko made the soup taste so yummy and the tobiko popping in your mouth was a treat! Then we had the Lamb, short rib and Duck. They were all so tender, juicy, flavorful and all the sides with each meat was more than delicious! We had the Semifreddo dessert and a Special chocolate cake they brought for my daughters birthday that were both so tasty and such a treat to the pallet. My daughter and I couldn't pronounce over half of the items on the menu lol but everything we chose and the recommendations from Charlotte were a must try. Make sure you reserve a table before you come here cause you don't want to miss the experience and the wonderful food!! I would def come back to try the other food on the menu!

Going to SkyBistro is not only a dinner time but a whole experience during your stay in Banff. First of all, taking the gondola to go up to the mountain was already a memorable experience. Then getting there and seeing this incredible view from the top was unreal. Plus having the opportunity to even have a meal in the sky/clouds/mountains was just magical. Everything we ordered was perfectly delicious, especially the chowder (I could have had 3 of those, one as a starter, one as a main and one as a dessert - and I am talking seriously here). The bison tartare was also really good. For mains we ordered the bison and the short rib which was my favorite one with a perfectly harmonized flavour. The dessert also was very much tasty and the whole experience was just like a dream. I couldn’t thank enough Matthew for being the best and for taking really good care of us. Everything he recommended was outstanding. He made our time at the restaurant unforgettable for sure. Looking forward to go back there asap. Thanks a million!

Good meal. I had the tomato salad which was excellent. My partner in crime had the other salad which had green apples in it. Apples didn't have much flavor. We shared the lamb starter which was excellent. For my main I had the Lingcod. The fish was wonderful, the sauce was not too my liking. The other main was the short ribs which were delicious. The view is spectacular!

The ride up was amazing and we were very excited to enjoy a special and romantic dinner for two. the room, the majestic mountain views and floor to ceiling windows do not disappoint and we started the evening with a couple of fresh salads. I selected the kohlrabi and apple it was crispy and blanketed in fresh shredded Parmesan cheese the only disappointment was in the paper thin slices of green apple that failed to deliver any sweet punch to brighten up the simple crunch of the kohlrabi. My partner chose the preserved tomato salad which was rich and creamy combination of preserved and fresh tomato s that really packed a punch. We shared the lamb starting and it was truly 10/10. On to the mains - I went with the braised beef rib and my partner selected the Linq cod which we learned was not even cod, nevertheless it was delicious and perfectly cooked unfortunately it was swimming in a charred corn veloute that was absolutely dreadful we had to fish it out of the soupy murky sauce with the dollops of puréed carrot and eat it on a clean side plate to enjoy the fish itself. And The fish was definitely delicious perfectly cook still tender and moist and with a light flavour that reminded us of fresh halibut. I did much better with the braised rib. It was tender and juicy and almost melted in my mouth the rich beef flavour was perfect. Served with crispy parsnip ribbons, roast potatoes and wild mushrooms my only negative - as you can see in the picture, the plate was so heavily sauced it really over powered everything.

Good meal after a hike. Great selection of wines and local beers. The mocktail was also great and tasty. Elle was knowledgeable and detail oriented to make sure our anniversary lunch felt extra special there. Absolutely recommend if you come in the area. I also suggest packaging up (which we did not do due to availability). To my liking the fries were too big and crispy, but the husband loved them. Keep that in mind if you order the burger.

We were in early November and it was not busy at all. We did purchase a promotional package for the restaurant and gondola ride. Highly recommend it. We checked in at the door and they took our bulky coat which is a nice gesture. We had a great view for our dinner. Our dinner was a three course meal that you get to pick a selection from the salad or soup main course and dessert. Our waiter suggested seafood chowder or salad. We each had one. For our main course we pick cod and short ribs. The short ribs sauce were a little too salty for my taste. The short ribs by themselves were great. The cod was fantastic and delicious. There were 2 selections for dessert and we got one of each. See menu that I posted. The restaurant has plenty of seating for 2 people or larger group. I would highly recommend buying the promotional package online and bring the booking since they need to verify it for the gondola ride and at the restaurant. It was snowing and raining and cloudy so the view was limited but still a great view. Love it.
Michael Y — Google review
This was a cool experience, taking the gondola up and eating on top of the mountain. Something I have looked forward to for an entire year, so I'm thrilled we were able to do it! The food was great, we got the bison steak ($79) and the short ribs ($65 to die for, delicious - tender - yes!), and the side of the potatoes ($14, mid - no flavor and not warm) for our side. To start, we got seafood chowder ($23) and the bread ($14), both which were great! My only (and I mean only) thing I was disappointed about was the service. Our waiter never gave any refills on drinks, nor did he come back until about 15+ minutes after we were already done eating to ask how things were. The table next to us made a similar comment to ours, and then we then had to wait another 10+ minutes for the check to come. Aside from the mediocre service, everything else was a great experience and I would recommend for anyone to do it while visiting Banff for a fun date night. :)

We loved our stay here. Spent three nights in the suite - it is worth the upgrade to have the fireplace in room and larger more private balcony. The staff and service were great. We liked being outside of town as it was quieter. The food at the onsite bistro was delicious.

I will begin by saying that the food was excellent, as was the service we received from Kelsey. Our evening did not start off well, and we were very close to leaving. We had a reservation - made weeks ago - in which we had requested patio seating. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and waited for almost 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. When someone finally came to seat us, we said we had a reservation and that we would prefer the patio - which we had requested in our reservation. We were told that the patio was “closed” - even though there were people seated there and we could see several open tables. We didn’t argue and were shown at first to the worst table in the restaurant - right in front of the host stand, right in the path of the staff. We asked for the table next to it and were seated. Another 5-10 minutes passed before we were offered water. Another couple came in, asked for the patio and were also told no. 10 minutes later, another couple came in, asked for the patio and when they pushed back when told it was closed, were told that they would accommodate them. Then another couple came in and after pushing back, were again seated on the patio. In the meantime, our appetizer was delivered to the wrong table. When it was finally brought to us, I asked why some patrons were accommodated on the patio while others were not. Our server apologized and then found us - and the other couple - a seat on the patio. From this point, our dinner was excellent - food, wine and service. The patio views are clearly the main draw for this restaurant. I have to question why all guests were not given the same courtesy and treatment when being seated - when all 4 couples had reservations and there was room for all of us on the patio. If the patio is closed for whatever reason, then it should be closed for everyone. Clearly in this case, being loud and pushy had its advantages.

It’s a good concept and a great location for it, but it is very poorly executed and falsely advertised. The website tells you about all these “complementary” amenities, but they only tell you in person at the time of checking in that you’re going to be charged $20 for each night whether or not you use them. How are the amenities complementary if you’re charging for them, and why are they not included in the cost at the time of booking? The rooms look much better in the photos than reality, and the bathroom was tiny and dated. I found it hard to close the door behind me without maneuvering myself inside, that’s ridiculous for a 3-star hotel. The only saving grace was the view, but it was hard to keep the curtains open because (I kid you not) every room has a window into the neighbouring balcony which also gives you a clear view into the neighbouring room. This is perhaps the most idiotic design decision I’ve ever come across in a hotel. Everything was subpar. I got two robes, but one of them had what looked like blood stains on it. The pillows were lumpy, the air conditioner was very loud, the shower had a low pressure, and the lighting in the room was very lacking. I assumed my biggest problem was going to be the noise from the highway, but that was not as loud as I expected inside the room. The only positives I can mention are that the cleaning staff was friendly, and the view from the balcony was amazing.
Uzair A — Google review
My husband and I spent 2 nights at this hotel. We were really looking forward to staying here as the pictures online looked wonderful. When we entered our room for the first time, we both stood there for a second and began complaining about how it did not look like the pictures at all. The room was very unwelcoming. Dark, outdated, lifeless and half the size we were expecting - I’d was quite small! The pillows were very lumpy and flat. The pillow itself had a couple of what seemed to be blood stains. The shower must’ve been the worst part. We couldn’t even adjust the shower head which was pointing to the corner of the shower, forcing you to shove your face on the glass door just to get your back cleaned. The shower head is also covered a thick coat of limescale. I’ll also just throw in the mention of half-ply toilet paper. There is no ceiling light so we had to rely on the night table lamp. There is also one floor lamp but the switch is far under the desk, I had to awkwardly lean my leg far under there just to reach the peddle switch. The view outside the balcony is nice, beautiful sky full of stars can be seen at night. But their photos did a great job at hiding the highway right outside your balcony! It was always loud and you can’t really sit out there to enjoy the view without being disturbed by all the passing cars. Worst of all, you can see your neighbours’ balconies too and unfortunately you can even see into their rooms if they haven’t closed their curtains! We haven’t stayed at many hotels but we were also surprised that we were not offered help with our luggage. There is no elevator so we had to lug 4 luggages up a large flight of stairs. We had dinner at the bistro on our first night. The service was slow, but we had a great waitress to keep us entertained. The food was just ok, nothing special and not good enough to return a second time. The room did come with a safe, a closet, and bathrobes which was nice. But the quality of the room was very disappointing, especially for $1000/night. We then left for another hotel in Jasper for a few hundreds cheaper and it was so much better, we couldn’t help but compare. Unfortunately we will not be returning here.

Stayed here for the night with my wife and we enjoyed it here. It was quiet and something about the atmosphere is very calming. The staff gave us an upgraded mountain view which was superb! (See pics) Only caveat is that it is by the highway which can be loud at times. Otherwise, great hotel and wouldn't mind staying here again!

I did not stay here, but visited for brunch during my stay in Banff. The food and service was excellent & the views were stunning! It’s a bit outside of the downtown which is nice if you’re looking for a quieter stay/ meal.

This was a wonderful place and we can't wait to come back for a longer stay. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was close and plentiful. The room was very Zen and modern, with a great view of the trees and mountains beyond. No road noise, just birds. We were impressed by the green roof planted with grasses and wildflowers. This was a great spot to relax after being in Banff village, which was very chaotic and busy, but with amazing restaurants. The only caveat is the hotel doesn't have an elevator, so if you have mobility issues you want to ask for a ground floor room. It wasn't a problem for us being on the second floor.

We stayed here last month after an unfortunate turn of events from a different hotel. The staff at Juniper was amazing at finding us a nice room last minute (it was almost midnight when we showed up). The rooms themselves were a little old but everything was clean and we had no problems getting extra bedsheets when we asked. We also had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. The only downside is the noise from the highway but it’s definitely not as bad as some people make it seem!

Very fun and memorable day. The best place for beginners Very difficult to find parking after 10 am weekends. The ski pass is very pricey, hope we could do it more but pricy. All the beginners/greens are not super easy but very enjoyable, A bit steep some parts but doable As a beginner I first tried and the glacier express lift and then took grizzly gondola, eagle meadows run. It was good run to start

The Lake Louise Summer Gondola is a fantastic way to enjoy panoramic views of the Rockies without a strenuous hike. I recommend riding in the open seats during summer to fully experience the fresh air and scenic vistas. While I didn’t spot any wildlife during my ride up or down, the view from the top is still incredible. Once you reach the summit, there’s an easy trail that winds down, offering more amazing perspectives of the mountains and valley below. It’s a relaxing and visually rewarding experience, perfect for photographers and anyone who wants to enjoy the Rockies with minimal effort. Tip for visitors: Try to ride in the open-air seats during summer for the most immersive experience and bring a camera to capture the stunning scenery.

I liked the view when I went to the top but to be honest, this whole gondola thing was very normal. View was great but could be a possibility that I went in July and it looks better when snow is around. There is a photo booth where you can take a picture.

The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola is one of Banff National Park’s most versatile and photogenic destinations, offering year-round opportunities for spectacular mountain photography. Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, the resort provides sweeping views of Lake Louise, the Bow Valley, and the imposing peaks of Mount Temple and the surrounding ranges — all accessible within minutes by gondola. During summer, the Lake Louise Gondola is a photographer’s dream. The 14-minute ride ascends through lush alpine forest to an elevation of over 2,000 meters, where breathtaking panoramic vistas unfold. From the upper station, visitors can capture the iconic turquoise waters of Lake Louise framed by rugged mountains and glaciers. The viewing platforms and short trails near the summit offer ideal vantage points for sunrise and sunset, when golden light touches the peaks and deepens the blues of the lake below. Wildlife photography is another highlight. The area around the gondola is prime grizzly bear habitat, and sightings from the safety of the lift are common in summer. Photographers can also encounter elk, marmots, and golden eagles, making it an exceptional spot for nature and wildlife shots without venturing deep into the backcountry. In winter, the resort transforms into one of Canada’s premier ski destinations. Snow-covered slopes, alpine lodges, and the dramatic backdrop of Mount Temple create postcard-perfect winter scenes. The crisp mountain light, combined with the interplay of snow and shadow, makes for stunning high-contrast photography. A ride on the gondola or chairlift provides aerial views of the skiers below and the vast white wilderness stretching in every direction. Whether blanketed in snow or glowing under summer sun, the Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola offers photographers a chance to experience the Rockies from above — capturing the scale, color, and wild beauty that make Banff National Park one of the world’s most photogenic landscapes.

[Summer Gondola] - don’t believe the haters! And don’t go up with expectations to see wildlife. This was an absolute delight, and I’d recommend making time for it - especially if you’re already parking there for your trip up to Lake Louise/Moraine. The whole experience was peaceful, a cool perspective of Lake Louise, and provided beautiful views of surrounding mountains. We kept an eye out for wildlife, but knew we weren’t visiting at a time when they’re expected to be out and about. It’s really just a lovely ride, especially in the open chairlift (vs enclosed gondola).

We take the gondola and lunch bundles ride . On both ways ( up and down ) we seen two deer under our gondola ride . The views from the top are amazing . The mountains and all those glaciers are stunning ! The burgers combo we have ordered are delicious too.

Beautiful views and they have a restaurant at the top (don’t remember the name) where food is delicious!! A bit expensive but totally worth it for the views !! A must do experience

Such a unique menu. The chef should be exceedingly proud of herself. The combination of ingredients that just ordinarily wouldn’t go together delicately presented in exquisite sauces. Every mouthful was sumptuous. Wish I lived here.

This place is so spot on with EVERY dish for our table of 7 that we went back another night to try the remaining menu items. We are south Louisiana people so we know good food. Servers Jordan and Spencer were amazing! The ceviche, bavette and the lamb were our most favorites. Even the chicken was outstanding!! All the desserts were fantastic. This place will not disappoint! Highly recommended even by our old folks that are very hard to please.
Kym H — Google review
Tried this place after seeing lots of great reviews, and it did not disappoint! The vibe is cozy, trendy, and unique. We loved the creative dishes—everything from the charred savoy cabbage to the chipotle-crusted bavette was full of flavor. Hard to find a spot like this these days. Glad we got a table last-minute. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Canmore!

One of the best restaurants. Starting with the food- always on point, consistent, unique and delicious. Everything is done to perfection. Portion sizes are good. The energy and atmosphere is pleasant and all staff are warm, welcoming and knowledge. Highly recommend for any occasion.

This meal was absolutely stunning! The ingredients and dishes were incredibly thought out, and the flavors were absolutely delicious. Incredibly worth every loonie! We highly suggest the charred savoy cabbage and the lamb!

Salad is huge portion, enough to share. We like the sauce which has a unique flavor. Thai chicken is our favorite. Chocolate bundio is creamy, smooth. Definitely a nice place to dine in

Loved the space, cocktails, and service. Some of the best food we had during our trip. The curry in the lamb dish was complex and rich, easily one of the best I've ever had.
Haley P — Google review
Food was a let-down, most of them were salty and took close to an hour to get to our table which was disappointing considering the price. Ordered a passionfruit mojito and it was very sour. Service was cold. We ordered a soup, server told us one option and retracted after 5 minutes but the soup was never taken off our bill. Atmosphere was okay, caters to adults. Host was friendly and warm.

First of all, food was delicious as usual. Our family also were lucky enough to get a lovely view. But what made the experience top notch was the service! Huge shout out to Matt, not only was so kind and welcoming he also highly recommended the pecan pie which I must say was absolutely delicious. He truly went above and beyond with his customer service. We have a toddler and he made the experience very enjoyable and as parents, feel such at ease with his help. Honestly.. give this man a raise!! Will definitely be back again and hopefully we catch Matt!

We visited over Christmas 2024 upon our friend’s recommendation. Even though we made a reservation we had to wait to be seated (understandable as they were busy) the problem was we were given a corner table which had a peculiar smell . The food was pretty average compared to what we had heard and what was served. The portions were inconsistent. We ordered Cajun Chicken which was over spiced and almost room temperature. The Salmon was good but the portion was too small. We ordered a medium steak but it was rare chewy and oily for some reason we hate to waste food but could not get ourselves to finish the meals . The only thing we enjoyed were the desserts.

We had a wonderful experience here. Our server was so friendly and even gifted us a dessert on the house because we were newly weds. We loved this restaurant the first time we visited Banff and had to come back again during this trip. Of course they were excellent just as I had expected.

Had the beef sliders and the Sesame chilled noodle salad. Both very good and portion of the salad was almost too much. Both dishes very tasty. Nice waiter from Australia. Always worth going for a bite when we're in Banff.

Our experience at the restaurant had its ups and downs. Initially, the waiter assigned to our table was incredibly helpful in suggesting a dairy-free pizza and was very pleasant. However, our positive impression took a hit when a large bridal shower was seated in the middle of the room, right next to us. Regrettably, our waiter seemed to completely forget about us once the bridal party arrived. We sat there for a seemingly endless 37 minutes with no communication, running out of water, and the desire to settle the bill and leave. Despite the disruptive noise from the bridal party, we understood that he was busy with them, but we just wished for a simple acknowledgment that he would attend to us shortly. To make matters more frustrating, the waiter was even standing close to our table at one point when I politely tried to get his attention, but he continued to ignore us. Being ignored is one of my biggest pet peeves, and it was a major letdown. In the end, I had to approach another waitress to request another waiter's assistance because we had been waiting with no sign of service. Finally, our original waiter returned, brought us the bill, but forgot the box that I had requested earlier. Despite the disappointment, we still left a tip, although it was significantly less than what we might have given if not for feeling ignored. In the end, we chose not to take our food home and left the restaurant.

HAPPY HOUR 3-6PM EVERY DAY. That is the time you should come. Really great shareable plates for cheap(er). Highly recommend the chicken lettuce wraps (comes with 5) and West Coast Pizza (shrimp), $14 each. The food is good! A tiny bit on the bland side, but it feeds well and is a great place for a group of friends. The crab cake is good but not worth $21. The fried ribs were good too, but a little bland and honestly would be better if they weren’t deep fried. Don’t recommend the sushi taco because it’s not really worth $4. Service was super good!

Whitebark Cafe, nestled in the scenic town of Banff, Alberta, Canada, is a charming mountain retreat that attracts both travelers and locals. This cozy cafe is celebrated for its meticulously prepared espresso drinks and an enticing array of freshly baked pastries. The welcoming ambiance and attentive staff ensure a memorable experience with every visit.
Cute cafe in the middle of Banff national park. It's furnished beautifully and equipped. They have an extensive menu as well as attentive staff. I had a matcha latte here and it was delicious, it was smooth and you can tell the ingredients were high quality! Lots of space both inside and outside the cafe to get some work done. I like how clean the cafe is and the natural beauty of Banff mountains surrounding the cafe itself. This is a wonderful pitstop location right before going into deeper adventure into Banff national park. If your living in the Banff area I do recommend taking a stroll down to this cafe spot.

Early-morning lifesaver! ☕️🍳 Whitebark Café was the perfect start to our day in Banff! Their drip coffee was absolutely delicious, and the frittata was fresh and flavorful—exactly what we needed. We really appreciated their early opening hours, which made it easy to grab a tasty breakfast before catching our early morning bus to Lake Louise.

Whitebark Café is a gem in Banff! I had the Americano misto and it was perfectly balanced—smooth, rich, and just what I needed to start the day. The pork and fennel rolls were a standout—flaky, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Cozy atmosphere, great vibe, and quality all around. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town and looking for a solid coffee and bite to eat.

This is one of the most popular cafe in Banff. It opens around 6am and near the high school transit hub. I tried their spinach-feta bite and vegan quinoa-mushroom roll. Both were really tasty.

I ordered a Couscous salad and a hot large latte. The coffee was literally cold, and the salad tasted bland (like no taste at all). It seemed like the salad had been made and kept in display since a long while. Didn’t appear fresh. Would not recommend considering the price they charge for their average food.

I loved this shop. Plenty of seats in a very cozy lounge setting. Good breakfast options. Also a great place to pick up some last minute souvenirs like maple syrup and chocolates. Would have given 5 stars for all categories if the wait time was shorter. But overall we are glad that we decided to come for a bite before driving back to Edmonton.

$19 (including tip that starts at 18%) for mediocre avocado toast. Will not return. Nice setting but not worth it in my opinion

I ordered a lavender honey latte and was patiently waiting at one of the window seats. I noticed one of the baristas make a hot drink and set it at the drink stand. She took the drink ticket and placed it on the metal stick where the finished drink tickets go. She then continued to talk to her coworker. No name was called out and I waited a few minutes until I had to go up myself and look at the drink ticket pile to see if it was my drink. I found this odd because prior drinks the barista would call out the persons name.. other than that the lavender honey latte was good

Ordered 2 Cappuccinos, apple juice and a lemonade! This was on our way to parking, where we had few minutes left on our ticket…also, bought playing card… Then waited…about 5 personnel were working and engaged…but no news of my order! I went and bought two tea boxes also…so paying like 100$ and yet, order not ready! They asked me, are you waiting for something!!?! I said yes!!! So, at least one person jumped on it while the other was in denial mode! Shouting Gregory! Gregory! one of the personnel looked at me, “are you Gregory?” I was like, “if I was, I would have picked up my order! I am clearly not”! From that, I noticed the crew lacks experience… Anyways finally the lady who jumped on the issue, checked with Cashier, noticed nothing was communicated in the system, prepared the order and gave to me! And we got late for our parking exit!

A little hit or miss but the hits were really great! We thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom soup - incredibly rich and aromatic and maybe the best mushroom soup I’ve ever had. The Rimrock Resort Hotel offers upscale rooms and suites, many of which boast picturesque views. The hotel features elegant dining options, including the renowned Eden restaurant, the only restaurant west of Toronto with a CAA/AAA Five-Diamond rating. Eden offers luxurious French cuisine with local influences and an extensive wine selection from its massive cellar. The restaurant's stunning mountain views and elegant interior create a memorable dining experience.
Our 32nd anniversary stay at the Rimrock Hotel was wonderful. Even though they were undergoing construction, they still tried to make our stay pleasant. They upgraded our room with a beautiful view. We had a view of the majestic mountains with a river running through them. It was exquisite. We even looked out the window, at dusk, one evening and saw a herd of elk walking on a hiking trail just below our room window. The room was super clean and had a lot of room. I loved the extra chairs by the window with a little table. I appreciated the in room safe and refrigerator. I also appreciated having snacks in our room rather than searching for a vending machine. However, the price for those snacks was way too high. I don't think you need to pay for convenience when you are staying at an expensive hotel. We also appreciated the free shuttle to downtown. It made it easier for us to enjoy the city.
Kellie H — Google review
A Stay with a View, But Value Questions Lingered Our recent stay certainly delivered on the promise of a breathtaking location. The mountain views from the hotel are truly unparalleled and provided a stunning backdrop to our trip. However, after experiencing all that the hotel has to offer, we found ourselves questioning the overall value for the price. While advertised amenities like the pool were present, the pool itself was quite compact, and the jacuzzi seemed to primarily circulate water rather than offer a relaxing experience. Our room also presented a few challenges; for instance, the room itself felt a bit worn. Getting around proved challenging. The hotel's proximity to attractions meant relying on the transit bus, which, unfortunately, was consistently overcrowded with no seating available during our trips. Walking to Banff downtown wasn't a practical alternative due to the lack of sidewalks, making pedestrian access unsafe. Service experience from the staff was mixed; some team members were genuinely friendly and helpful, while others were less engaging. Dining options within the hotel were convenient due to the remote location, but the restaurant prices felt quite steep, especially given the lack of alternative eateries nearby, and the menu itself had very limited options. In conclusion, while the incredible location is undeniably a major draw, we ultimately struggled to recommend without reservations, primarily due to the perceived value for money when considering the amenities, the condition of the room, the limited dining choices, and the logistical challenges of getting around.
Zsolt S — Google review
I booked a room with a separated bedroom and 2 bathrooms, which was ideal for our family since the semi-private bedroom allowed our 8-month-old to sleep earlier without disruption. When we arrived, we were told we’d been “upgraded” to a room with a better view. The new room, however, was a full open-concept layout with only 1 bathroom. When I called to ask about the change, we were offered free breakfast for 2 as compensation. We made do, but the view was not as described—half the windows were frosted, partially blocking the view, and the rest overlooked the hotel’s front entrance with only a partial forest view. The room felt run down and not as clean as expected, with finishes noticeably less refined than what I had booked. I specifically chose the original room for its higher-end amenities, and it felt as though we were placed in a less upgraded room—possibly because we had young children. It’s worth noting that most hotel staff were very nice and friendly. However, the staff at the Primrose restaurant was a different story—the hostess greeted us with what seemed like visible disapproval, which I could only assume was because we had a toddler and a baby. This hotel seemed to have almost no other children present, mostly older couples or couples without kids. Our toddler has dietary restrictions, so we always travel with pre-made smoothies. The fridge in our room wasn’t cooling properly, which we only noticed when packing to leave—by then, all the smoothies were spoiled. I reported it, but five hours after check-out they simply asked if we wanted a new fridge. Not kid-friendly, not worth the money. If you have children, choose the Pomeroy in Kananaskis for a far better experience. If you don’t have kids (or even if you do), Banff Springs is a much better option.
Breanne H — Google review
We stayed at the Rimrock Resort Hotel as part of a Rocky Mountaineer tour. The property was spectacular, the room was spacious and had a great view. The serene surroundings and quiet atmosphere more than offset the minor inconvenience of being located outside of downtown Banff. The shuttle busses ran regularly and were a convenient way to get into town and back to the Resort.
Don M — Google review
Under renovation—but well managed because we were never impacted by it. The service was great, and breakfast truly stellar. I give it 3 stars for location because it’s not a walkable location if you want to wander the streets of Banff, like we did. There’s a shuttle but it’s pretty full and not as frequent as we would have liked.
Susan K — Google review
A lovely 3 day stay at the Rimrock. The hotel is clean and in places grand. The decor in our room was a little tired but the hotel is in the process of renovations. We found all the staff to be incredibly welcoming and helpful. There was a very nice young Irish lady on reception the day we checked in. The primrose restaurant was excellent the steak was fantastic and they easily accommodated changes to a few dishes for our daughters. The location is slightly out of town but the free shuttle bus and roam bus tickets made this easy but it’s not in the centre of town this might be great if you want a quieter spot or don’t mind using the bus. The coffee shop was a nice addition and we throughly enjoyed our stay.
Alexandra L — Google review
This review is grossly overdue and the restaurant and staff deserve better. I came in the April and still tell everyone about it when I hear anyone interested in visiting Banff. Fine dining review here - I did not stay at the hotel itself. The restaurant ambiance and the food are incredible. Definitely a culinary experience and worth every penny. The view is breathtaking and makes any dinner or date night or special occasion even that more memorable. But the piece that is generally sorely missing in most places of late is service and the evening was made that much better by the impeccable, attentive and perfectly executed service of Robert, Gustavo and Matt. They were professional, engaging and super knowledgeable. Add a healthy dose of friendliness and well timed humor and the three gentlemen provided the trifecta of best in class service. Rimrock plus these three make it a 10/10 experience for me and I highly recommend this place if you’re visiting and want a one of a kind culinary experience.
R.E. T — Google review
he location of Rimrock is fantastic, but unfortunately, the rooms are a letdown. The carpet is incredibly old, and the rooms themselves feel run down. Everything about it feels outdated(except the main lobby), and for the price you're paying, it's hard to overlook. If the price was lower, the condition of the rooms wouldn’t be as big of an issue, but when you're paying top dollar, you expect a much higher standard. What did save this stay, however, was Mira at the front desk. She was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to help us, and thanks to her, we were able to get a better room. Her exceptional service definitely made the experience more pleasant. Overall, Rimrock's location is great, but unless they invest in updating their rooms, the high price just doesn’t seem justified.

Other winter experiences include guided snowshoeing, ice walking, romantic sleigh rides, and ice-skating on Lake Louise. In the summer, visitors can paddle the turquoise waters of Lake Louise, raft down the Bow River, and conquer mountainous trails.
The via ferrata was hands down the highlight of our Banff trip! Cannot recommend this enough. We had a full group of awesome people and our tour guide Amanda was so helpful and informative. The views were incredible, I wanted to spend all day on the mountain. Would absolutely do this again!!

The view from the lookout is unbelievable. The chairlift ride up is a quick 8 or so minutes. The viewpoint is relaxing and extremely quiet as not many people seem to know about this or do it. It's half the price of the Banff gondola and far less crowded. It's a great use of the place in the summer off season. You really can't beat the view up here

We took the Sightseeing Chairlift (summer only) to reach the viewpoint. The view overlooking Banff Village is genuinely fantastic. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness centre, restaurant and bar, outdoor hot tubs, sauna, and an outdoor firepit area for making s'mores.
Great place to stay with excellent customer service. Our King with kitchen and balcony was clean and spacious! About 1mile to the town center. There is a Roam transit /bus stop is just down from the lodge. Easy on and off to town if walking is not your thing. The hot tubs are nice and the cold plunge is COLD! Breakfast was typical continental along with sausage, eggs, waffles and pancakes. The banana bread was excellent along with carrot cake. Our only complaint is the lack of adequate lighting in the room, but we were told that is in keeping with the Lodge Theme.

There is also a nice outdoor area with two hot rubs, a polar plunge and a sauna. The rooms were clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. I would stay here again!

We arrived late and had to check out early so didn't use many amenities unfortunately. The room was very clean, love the decor! Front desk staff were awesome and so was breakfast. The patio and hot tub area look amazing and the price point was perfect. We'll be back for sure!

We really enjoyed our stay! The breakfast was great — they offered hot meals and fresh pastries. Our room was nice and cozy, and we actually liked being close to the lobby since the coffee station was right there. Even though there was a coffee maker in the room, it was nice to just step out and grab a cup in the morning. Everything was very clean — our room, the pool area, and the rest of the hotel were all well maintained.

We were there for 1 night this fall and our this was a good place. Breakfast option is average and can have some more good options. They do have couple of hot tubs and a cold plunge option. The Hotel Manager gave us complimentary parking as well.

We loved this hotel! It is very cozy and the perfect location while staying in Banff. The free smores everyday was such a cute and unique touch that we took advantage of everyday. The staff are all so nice. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are kept clean.

Nestled in the heart of Banff, the Banff Aspen Lodge is a charming and recently-renovated hotel that offers a relaxed and comfortable stay. The property boasts a picturesque courtyard with two outdoor hot tubs, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. Guests can enjoy complimentary buffet breakfast and Wi-Fi, as well as free underground parking.
We had a great stay as a family. The rooms were the cleanest out of 3 hotels we stayed at during our vacation (and my eye tends to find any imperfections). We felt comfortable and the location was so convenient to major attractions. The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful. I am still dreaming about the granola and baked goods at breakfast. They are delicious, healthy and made with quality ingredients. My kids said they loved the bread which they usually never comment on. Looking forward to coming back.

Lovely rooms, nice mountain views from the balcony, great location in Banff. The hot tub, cold tub, steam room and sauna were my favourite. Our booking included breakfast which was a bit of a letdown, as the breakfast restaurant was downstairs in a tight basement corner, even though the hotel had a lovely cafe at street level. Would have much preferred it was at that cafe and included cappuccinos. Apart from that, very comfortable stay.
Candi M — Google review
The room we stayed in is spacious, with a layout that feels like a room in room. The washroom between the 2 bed areas provides privacy for each, which is a nice feature. The 2 outdoor hot tubs are nice, and you can enjoy stargazing at night. The hotel also offers a generous breakfast. The overall value for the cost is excellent. The staffs are very helpful and polite. In addition, the location is convenient and close to shops and restaurants. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I visit Banff.

Relaxing stay in a fantastic location We loved the location and the amazing spa-like amenities — two hot tubs, a eucalyptus steam room, and a sauna made for such a relaxing experience. The breakfast was outstanding and a real highlight of our stay. The room was on the smaller side and could use a refresh, and parking was a bit limited, but overall, it was a wonderfully rejuvenating experience.

I had an amazing stay at this place during my recent visit to Banff. It's in a very central part of Banff, with one of the bus stops being only a block away and the hotel being right on Banff Avenue. I noticed there were a lot of reviews complaining about the parking space here, but I think that problem has been resolved; it's definitely not the biggest parking space I've seen among other hotels in Banff, but I didn't have trouble finding parking at all when I drove in around 4PM on a very busy weekend. I booked a premium 1 Queen bedroom, and I thought it was a really good size. I believe the couch in the living room has a pullout bed, so this room could accommodate up to four people (I can't speak to how comfortable the pullout bed would be, however). I did find the layout of the room to be questionable; the bedroom is right next to the entrance, followed by the washroom area, and then the living room area. Because the bedroom space was quite small, it was a bit uncomfortable getting in through the entrance. I think a more logical layout would have been to make the bedroom space closer to the side facing out to the Banff Avenue. Also, there were some staples sticking out of the carpet near the tiled floor in the washroom area; I was lucky they didn't manage to break through my skin when I stepped on one. I did really like the balcony attached to the room, which had an unobstructed view of the mountains. Also, I found the bed to be comfortable, but the loud ventilation noise did interfere with my sleep quality. The amenities in the hotel were much better thought out. I liked that they had a laundry machine and a dryer and also that they had laundry detergent ready for purchase at the front desk; it would have been nice if there was more than one washer and the dryer, but I did manage to use it. I really appreciated the outdoor space area with the hot tub, dry sauna and steam sauna. I spent hours reading while enjoying the hot tub. It was a very relaxing experience, and a great way to kill time while doing the laundry. The staff at the hotel was very pleasant; I came by to ask a lot of questions, and they were always available to help and very helpful in general. I also appreciated the breakfast that was included with my stay; I felt they had a decent spread (eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, granola, fruits, etc) and everything tasted fine. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, largely due to the nice amenities and amazing staff. The bedroom was good, but it had a few areas of improvement, such as the layout and the loud ventilation noise that stayed throughout the night. Staples sticking out of the carpet is obviously a safety issue so I hope they will address this as soon as possible. With that said, I would not mind coming back and staying at this hotel again.

I booked directly through Banff Aspen Lodge’s website with the intention of reserving a stay for October 17–19 for 4 guests. Unfortunately, the booking processed incorrectly as September 11–12 for 2 guests. By the time I noticed, the dates had already passed. When I reached out for help, I was told the reservation could not be refunded because the room had been held. While I can understand hotel policy, the real issue has been the lack of communication and willingness to resolve the situation. I would've appreciated getting any dates surrounding that time period, especially considering it was their website glitching out that caused this error. I called the hotel nine times trying to speak with the manager. Each time, I was either: Sent directly to his voicemail (where I left messages with no response), Told he was in a meeting and would call me back (he never did), or Told my number would be passed on so he could follow up (again, no response). After nine attempts, I still never received a single call back. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected at least the courtesy of a return call and some effort to address a genuine booking error. This experience has left me extremely disappointed. I would urge future guests to be cautious when booking directly and to consider other properties in Banff where customer service is taken seriously.

Great location! Smells great and the room is spacious and luminous. We have a great view and are very happy with the included breakfast and parking. We just arrived and Amaro went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. I can’t wait to try out the heated outdoor pool!
Marie-Julie L — Google review
We stayed for 2 days on our way back to Calgary from Jasper. The first room (123) I would not recommend this room if my life depended on it. The layout is odd, basically you open the door and walk into the bathroom or stumble down a ramp! And it’s the smallest $500/ night room I have ever seen in my life! So we requested the second night be in a different room (125). After switching rooms all was good. Staff were very nice, breakfast is really delicious except they seat you right next to other people…again kind of odd. The hot tub, cold plunge and steam room are amazing as well. All in all it was an ok stay, just not really worth the money. I expected a lot more for $500/night. I won’t ever go back to Banff it’s a tourist trap and not my style.

The cozy shop offers an extensive selection of high-quality loose-leaf teas, catering to both seasoned connoisseurs and curious newcomers. With a diverse range of flavors and aromas, visitors can explore the art of tea through classic and exotic blends. The shop prides itself on offering over 40 unique blends, including a custom herbal tea crafted exclusively for the teahouse.
Incredibly charming tea shop with fantastic customer service and a wide variety of unique tea options. I came in with a specific type of tea in mind (Mint), and they had exactly what I needed plus offered additional options and support. Highly recommend!

We stopped at the Banff Tea Company while visiting Banff, but we now order from them regularly. There are some unique blends which we love and just want to keep having. Ordering has always been easy and deliveries on time. Give 'em a try!
Jeanie E — Google review
I am a tea lover and always on the look out for something special. Banff Tea Co has a HUGE selection. Each jar has a description of the blend. Prices were very affordable. I am taking several varieties home to try. They said the website also has the blend information. The girls in the shop were very friendly and helpful.
T P — Google review
Tea shop with a ton of variety! Lots of teas to choose from in all categories. You do have to purchase at least 50g for most teas. The employee was helpful in answering any questions we had, but was a bit short and made odd comments when we paid by card. Prices were decent for being in Banff and the tea is good.
Melanie B — Google review
It's almost like tea heaven when you walk in. They have so many selections you really don't know what what to choose from. I really enjoyed purchasing 5 to 6 different types of teas that I can take back to the states with me. Highly recommended if you are a tea lover.

regularly purchased tea from this place over the past few years. rated store 5 stars until now. products were initially great but the last few bags i received were off? didnt taste the same, seems something changed in the ratio? like i received whatever was in the bottom of the container. poor customr service.

Love this little gem of a store! There are SO MANY different tea options, and I love all the mixtures. They all taste fantastic. I also love that you can see it, and smell it! If you can't make it into the store, they offer online ordering as well. The ladies that run this place are amazing, sweet people and so easy to deal with. Give them a try! I did, and now I only get my tea from here because nothing else can compare!
Mrs. C — Google review
I absolutely love this little tea shop, it has a fantastic range of delicious and interesting teas to choose from, and the team are superb. We have enjoyed popping in when visiting from Calgary, my favourite is the Walnut Truffle - it's unlike anything I've tasted before, just delicious! (i don't have a pic of the shop, only of the lovely town itself)

El Toro Restaurant in Banff is a must-visit upscale eatery that offers a unique culinary experience by blending Canadian, Mexican, and Spanish influences in its cuisine. The menu features a mix of traditional and contemporary dishes with innovative flavor combinations. From the El Toro Scramble to an extensive tapas menu, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Great service! Came for an early dinner and had the whole place to ourselves. Our server recommended the fajitas and they did not disappoint. The churros were average, but still good flavor. Fair prices as well!

This restaurant feels like a hidden gem! The staff treated us like family, and the food tasted homemade but elevated. Will definitely be coming back with friends." "I’ve been to many restaurants, but this one stands out for its consistency. Every visit is a great experience, and the food always hits the spot." "Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, and food that warms the soul. Highly recommend for date nights or family dinners."

Went there this evening and I cannot recommend this place enough 😋 Everyone was so friendly and they were very hospitable. The food was beyond delicious! If you're in town, definitely stop in, you won't regret it. Saif, our server was top notch. I'm from Colorado and glad I got to experience this place.

Most likely, the original Mexican owners have sold business to an Indian Gentleman. The new owner is a very nice person but the food quality is not great. They serve most awkward interpretation of Ceviche and Calamari.

El Toro is an absolute gem in Banff! I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offer halal meat options, which made the experience even better. The food was delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly! You can really taste the quality in every bite. On top of that, the service was outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal. It’s rare to find a place that combines such great flavors with such genuine hospitality. If you’re visiting Banff and looking for a spot with halal options, I highly recommend El Toro. It’s definitely a restaurant I’ll be coming back to!

The food was not bad. Felt a little overpriced for what it was. I got the chicken fajitas. They were pretty good, but a little bland. I barely had any peppers. If this was supposed to be fine dining, that's not what it looks or taste. My friend got the trip fajitas and that looked better. The table next to us had a really good looking meal. Probably we didn't get the right thing. I would visit again, but not that impressed from my first visit.

The girl who was serving us was really nice and friendly. We went for breakfast, and even though I’m not a big fan of eggs, I ordered the egg burrito and honestly, I kind of liked it! The way it was made surprised me. The portion was huge for one person; I couldn’t finish it. We went around lunchtime, and the ambiance was really nice too. Overall, a pleasant and satisfying experience.
Mahmuda A — Google review
Saif made our experience very enjoyable. He is one of the nicest waiters we’ve ever met who went above and beyond! He was able to accommodate to our special requests and attended to us throughout our meal time. As for the food, we got fried calamari, beef tartare and tacos. Overall they were all just okay - good for a filling dinner but nothing exceptionally special. We really appreciated the sides for the tacos (guac, salsa, sour cream and beans). Edit: I left my backpack in the restaurant and noticed over an hour later. When I went back to the restaurant to check (was very stressed), Saif was already expecting us and told us he was trying to find our phone number to call us. To Saif, we hope you get everything you want in life and more😭 thank you for being an amazing waiter and person🙏

Edo Japan - Cascade Shops - Grill and Sushi offers a satisfying and affordable dining experience in Banff. The teriyaki chicken and beef are highly recommended, with succulent flavors that leave a lasting impression. The warm and charming owners contribute to the welcoming atmosphere, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Japanese cuisine. The beef fried noodles are described as unforgettable, featuring rich and tender beef paired with flavorful, well-textured noodles.
I cannot believe I hadn't tried this place before. It's absolutely incredible food. I had the beef bowl the first time and beef raman the second time both were absolutely delicious. Also it's feel good food, it doesn't sit heavy but still fills you up. I can happily say Edo Japan is my new favourite spot to grab a quick bite!
Luke K — Google review
A decent spot for a fast and straightforward dining experience. While the culinary experience may not be extraordinary, it serves as a convenient option for a quick meal. The service was notably efficient even during busy hours. Broccoli was a bit undercooked, but otherwise, it was average for a food court.
Donna L — Google review
We ordered the stir-fry chicken noodles with spicy sauce at Edo Japan, and it was a pleasant surprise. The portion was generous—easily enough for two people—and the food tasted great. It was made to order, fresh, and served hot, which really added to the experience. For the price, the quality and quantity were definitely worth it. The service was efficient and friendly, just as it should be. I’d recommend giving this place a try at least once if you’re in the area.

One of my favorite places I miss from midwest America is a food court chain that makes teriyaki chicken like this. I was excited to try this Canadian version! Location is fun in the mall, great service, great prices. Overall I just felt like it was a lot more bland than I'd like. I don't need everything to be loaded with flavor, but I do think it was pretty mild in flavor overall.
Nicholas K — Google review
An unforgettable experience! EDO's beef fried noodles left me speechless. The succulent beef was rich and tender, perfectly complementing the flavorful and well-textured noodles. A satisfying dish that not only delights the taste buds but also offers a healthy and diverse culinary journey. EDO, you've won my heart with this masterpiece!

Edo Japon has became my favorite restaurant. The food is delicious, fresh, healthy and, the portions are just enough. The service 5 stars. People is always helpful and friendly. I use to go anywhere because I travel a lot but the Cascade shop in Banff I used the most. Thanks guys. See you next week.

Food was okay vegetables were pretty much raw and they wouldn’t give us extra sauce which I’ve never seen an EDO do and when they made a mistake with our order over whether or not we had vegetables in our bowl and refused to fix even though it’s already included in the bowl if it was extra Id understand, but they just got aggressive and refused to resolve it. They weren’t busy and it was a simple fix too very disappointed
