Cafe
Wild Flour Bakery is a charming and cozy bakery and cafe located in Banff, Canada. It offers a delightful selection of baked goods, croissants, baguettes, and coffee. The bakery has a warm and inviting atmosphere with local art on display. Visitors can enjoy freshly baked bread and pastries along with local coffees for breakfast or grab lunch to go. Additionally, the bakery features a vintage basket offering day-old goodies at affordable prices, perfect for trail snacks.
A great cafe to visit while in Banff! I got espresso, roasted root veg, berry brioche and a banana croissant. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The toasted bread was crisp and fluffy. The berry brioche had just come out so it was warm and soft. Highly recommend!
Jeremy C — Google review
The café was always busy, with a queue of customers waiting to get in. There were seats available inside, on the patio, and in shady spots in the alley. We arrived too late to order a breakfast sandwich, but the smoked sandwich we chose as a substitute was excellent. The homemade sourdough bread was fresh and crispy after being heated, and the meat was juicy and flavorful! For dessert, we ordered the almond croissant. It was flaky and fresh, with a delightful crispy almond topping. Lovely place with friendly staff, highly recommend!
Cami L — Google review
If there‘s a queue, the coffee must be good! This rule of thumb proved to be true once again. The coffee is great and the pastries look amazing. The Almond croissant was out of this world! If you get here and there is no seating available just get in the queue, the turnaround on the tables is quite quick
Luke S — Google review
I saw a lot online about this cafe and it even exceeded my expectations! Perhaps slightly overpriced, but a perfect place for a brunch/light lunch. Excellent coffee. Queue was always long but moved relatively quickly. The GF brownie was amazing! I did not try a pastry but they looked amazing.
Ellie M — Google review
Wild Flour is a lovely spot in Banff if you’re craving fresh baked goods and a cozy café vibe. The pastries and breads are excellent – the croissants were buttery and flaky, and the sourdough is worth taking home. Coffee and lattes were good, though not always the most consistent, and prices are on the higher side (pretty normal for Banff). The café does get busy during peak times, so expect a bit of a line, but the staff are generally friendly and efficient. Great place to relax with a coffee or grab something to fuel up before exploring the mountains.
Vishaka P — Google review
We tried the mocha, cinnamon bun, and almond croissant, everything was great, but the almond croissant was truly on another level. The service was good, and the atmosphere was cozy. Overall, a nice place to stop by for coffee and pastries in Banff.
Patel K — Google review
The service is great, the coffee is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the food is fresh! I only ordered an Americano and chocolate croissant but I saw how delectable all their other pastries and sandwiches looked. If there was anything I could say that would make this place perfect - is I wish there was just a wee bit more chocolate in the chocolate croissant. This is a busy bakery/cafe! Be prepared for a lineup during busy times and possibly needing to grab a seat outside (which is also beautiful).
Sagarika — Google review
We absolutely loved the croissants, the coffees and the Vegan Focaccia Bread. The location and the atmosphere is amazing. I have not given that last star coz of their customer service. I was made to feel a bit uncomfortable while ordering at the counter.

Brewery
Three Bears Brewery & Restaurant is a unique and inviting spot in Banff, designed to make you feel like you're dining in the heart of a forest. The wood-lined interior is adorned with wildlife statues and features a 25-foot pine tree, creating a cozy atmosphere.
The food here was pretty good, a bit on the pricey side. We ordered the French onion soup, the wings and the mac n cheese. I really enjoyed the wings, they had so much flavor and the French onion soup hit the spot on the rainy day that we went. The mac n cheese was not bad, but a bit on the mild side for flavor. Service was great, all the staff were super friendly and there was plenty of outdoor seating so we could sit with our dog.
Jamie L — Google review
We had an amazing experience at 3 Bears Brewery! On our second visit, we were served by Eloy, who was absolutely fantastic. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the staff handled everything with such professionalism and genuine friendliness. It’s no surprise this place is always packed — they have their own crafted beers that are simply a must-try! The food was also incredible, and every bite was worth it. Kudos to the owner and manager for running such a well-organized and welcoming establishment. We’ll definitely be back!
Junalyn ( — Google review
We came here for dinner and were seated upstairs. The space was beautifully decorated with a stylish bar and a glass roof that let in lots of light — and closed up nicely when it got chillier outside. Service was perfect. Our friendly waiter guided us through the (beer) menu, which was much appreciated. They brew the beer locally, and as Belgians we were very happy to finally drink good, affordable beer abroad. Even better: it wasn’t just affordable, it was really tasty too! We tried the pilsner, a fruity seasonal, and the mango IPA. For mains, we had a pepperoni pizza and mac ’n cheese. The pizza was basically more pepperoni than pizza (not necessarily a bad thing), but the dough was solid. The mac ’n cheese was tasty and definitely filling.
Jonathan G — Google review
We visited a brewery restaurant in downtown Banff after seeing the good Google reviews. Since the weather was nice, we sat on the patio. We ordered a pale ale, mushroom pizza, and the beef tenderloin. The beer was smooth and tasty, and the food overall was quite good. The steak was more tender and flavorful than expected, though the prices were on the higher side. Service was friendly, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious with two floors. It’s not right on the main street, so it felt quieter and more relaxed, which we really enjoyed.
Babybel J — Google review
We stopped into Three Bears tonight on our second trip to Banff. We regret not coming here for dinner sooner! Our server Macy was wonderful. Very friendly, funny, great customer service, made great cocktails and was very accommodating to our requests and vegan guests. All staff we encountered were kind and welcoming. Food was amazing, o.s. they aren’t kidding about the crust, sooo good! and the maple old fashioned is a must try. I highly recommend stopping in!
Brittany R — Google review
Check out the Happy Hour here. Everything was pretty good. Was really surprised about how good the mac n’ cheese was. The whole entire place is photo worthy. There was also live music. Don’t miss this place when you visit Banff
B S — Google review
I visited this place with my family on a Saturday afternoon. Although it was a bit crowded, the wait time was surprisingly short thanks to the spacious interior. The decor is vibrant and nature-inspired, with beautiful displays featuring animals and greenery, it gives the space a warm, energetic vibe. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into creating the atmosphere. The service was excellent; our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. There was also live music playing, which made the experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, every dish we ordered was delicious. We had the 7-cheese pizza, perfect for cheese lovers, the Caesar salad, which was fresh and flavorful, and the Alberta bison ribs, a local specialty that was tender and rich in flavor. The cheesy waffle fries were also a hit, crispy and loaded with flavor. I tried the Pinery Pilsner beer, which was crisp, refreshing, and paired well with the meal. An extra fun touch: they also sell their own branded merchandise, which adds to the charm and personality of the place. I definitely recommend this spot for its great food, excellent service, fun vibe, and unique atmosphere.
Sebastian B — Google review
Really happy with our experience at Three Bears. Hugely busy, so glad we got a reservation! The beer was wonderful, and the environment was perfect. We got a chicken sandwich and a pizza to split. The chicken sandwich was great, and the pizza was quite tasty, too. We did wish the cheese had been marbled a bit more at a higher temperature, but no real complaints. Definitely recommended!

Incredibly charming tea shop with fantastic customer service and a wide variety of unique tea options. I came in with a specific type of tea in mind (Mint), and they had exactly what I needed plus offered additional options and support. Highly recommend!
Peter M — Google review
We stopped at the Banff Tea Company while visiting Banff, but we now order from them regularly. There are some unique blends which we love and just want to keep having. Ordering has always been easy and deliveries on time. Give 'em a try!
Jeanie E — Google review
I am a tea lover and always on the look out for something special. Banff Tea Co has a HUGE selection. Each jar has a description of the blend. Prices were very affordable. I am taking several varieties home to try. They said the website also has the blend information. The girls in the shop were very friendly and helpful.
T P — Google review
Tea shop with a ton of variety! Lots of teas to choose from in all categories. You do have to purchase at least 50g for most teas. The employee was helpful in answering any questions we had, but was a bit short and made odd comments when we paid by card. Prices were decent for being in Banff and the tea is good.
Melanie B — Google review
It's almost like tea heaven when you walk in. They have so many selections you really don't know what what to choose from. I really enjoyed purchasing 5 to 6 different types of teas that I can take back to the states with me. Highly recommended if you are a tea lover.
MrESQ — Google review
regularly purchased tea from this place over the past few years. rated store 5 stars until now. products were initially great but the last few bags i received were off? didnt taste the same, seems something changed in the ratio? like i received whatever was in the bottom of the container. poor customr service.
Jasper J — Google review
Love this little gem of a store! There are SO MANY different tea options, and I love all the mixtures. They all taste fantastic. I also love that you can see it, and smell it! If you can't make it into the store, they offer online ordering as well. The ladies that run this place are amazing, sweet people and so easy to deal with. Give them a try! I did, and now I only get my tea from here because nothing else can compare!
Mrs. C — Google review
I absolutely love this little tea shop, it has a fantastic range of delicious and interesting teas to choose from, and the team are superb. We have enjoyed popping in when visiting from Calgary, my favourite is the Walnut Truffle - it's unlike anything I've tasted before, just delicious! (i don't have a pic of the shop, only of the lovely town itself)

Nestled in the breathtaking Canadian Rockies, Jolene's Tea House is a charming mountain retreat that invites tea lovers to explore its unique hand-blended varieties. With over 60 flavors to choose from, including delightful options like wild blueberry rooibos and alpine peppermint, there's something for everyone. Visitors can enjoy their teas in loose leaf or sachet form, or opt for the adorable 'Tea House' box featuring 15 curated tea bags.
I had an amazing London fog at a couple places around town and they were made with tea from Jolene’s so I had to go check it out and buy some to take home. The creamy earl grey is the best I’ve ever had. No sugar or sweetener needed you just steep it in hot milk of your choice. It’s apparently already mixed with vanilla and just so creamy and delicious. Can’t wait to try all the other teas I took home with me!
Tricia S — Google review
Outstanding tea, we had it at the banff gondola restaurant and had to go get our own set for home. Pleased to find out they ship worldwide so will definitely be ordering more online when we run out. The atmosphere was also so organized, an absolute tea dream.

I like their iced tea selections! I could try thier samples which was really good

Amazing teahouse for the tea enthusiasts! Found some delicious Oolong from Taiwan and other specialty teas! There’s tea gifts, loose leaf, tea bags and tea to go if you wanted to try some there. The owner is very friendly and so is the staff! Thank you for creating a great place for tea lovers and can’t wait to order tea to ship home!
Bree M — Google review
Such a beautiful teahouse! I’ve been following this company for a while now on Instagram and finally had the pleasure to visit them during my trip to the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Let me start by saying that the store is beautiful and so tastefully decorated. The service/staff was very nice and helpful (I believe it was a French girl, sorry I didn’t grab the name) - absolutely loved her energetic and enthusiastic attitude! We tried a couple of teas there in the store, took a couple home and will definitely reorder! Great quality and very fresh!
Maria N — Google review
Came here after having the creamy earl Grey at Brazen for the first time! The girl who helped us was very knowledgeable of the teas and helped us decide on which ones to purchase. The boxes were quite big but she assured us it was was easy to dissemble for easier travel!

Very chill, so nice. The lady who helped us was so sweet. They offer so many samples of tea! Also offered to ship products to us if we wanted/needed. Very, very pleased with our homemade mug and candles and chocolates didn’t get any tea on this stop.

Great name too! 😉
Jolene S — Google review
Would give 5 stars as I love the tea but the staff were rude and not helpful at all. The young woman was huffy when we asked questions and short with us. Too bad as we left empty handed even though I wanted to purchase 40 thank you gifts for an event. Found another place in Banff instead. Just trying to keep it local.

Evelyn's Coffee Bar is a charming traditional coffee shop that has been a part of the Banff community since 1992. Located on Banff Avenue, it offers a cozy atmosphere and serves an array of espresso drinks, sandwiches, and baked goods. Situated amidst gift shops and jewelers, it provides a convenient stop for grabbing coffee while exploring the area. Additionally, its proximity to Park Distillery makes it an ideal spot to visit after a distillery tour.
An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Banff town centre for great coffee and pastries! My daughter’s name is Evelyn, so this place made her feel really special. The coffee is rich, smooth, and expertly brewed, making it a perfect stop for caffeine lovers. Their pastries are fresh and delicious, pairing beautifully with a latte or cappuccino. The cozy, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make it an ideal spot to relax, recharge, or grab a quick bite before exploring Banff. Whether you’re after a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon treat, Evelyn’s Coffee Bar is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality coffee in a charming setting.
Jing L — Google review
cappuccino, and coffee—and everything was genuinely delicious! The flavors were bold and satisfying, the coffee was smooth and comforting. Highly recommend if you’re craving something tasty and well-made coffee
Gowda S — Google review
It’s a vibe that all can get down with. Part hipster, part modern, Evelyn coffee bar has outstanding coffee. So much so we came back twice. We got two medium vanilla lattes and of course they did the little design in it! Be prepared to pay for the atmosphere and outstanding coffee. Honestly the best part about this place was the croissants. We ordered two. She got the chocolate one (more like a desert but it had our taste buds poppin) the chocolate was creamy and smooth without it even being heated up. It was like a paste of chocolate smothered inside a crispy crust that was baked to perfection. Just when you think it can’t get any better, if you want to go nuts like me, order the almond croissant. Perfect ratio of thinly sliced almonds across the top, with that gooey paste within. There was not too much, just enough to have you wanting more. The couches are comfy and casual (love the brown leather vibe) but you can also step outside for the view of my favorite mountain in Banff. As always for the bathrooms: I can’t hold it against them because their bathrooms are through the rear exit in the communal mall. I had to go out and go downstairs so they’re quite a bit away away so don’t drink too much coffee and fear of tingling your pants on the journey. For all my loyal review followers I did make that journey, but the cage was locked at seven in the morning. However, they did have a sign pointing me to a secondary location, but I figured that won’t always be the case so we’re leaving the bathroom review out this time.

I’ve been living in Banff for a year and a half, and Evelyn’s Coffee Bar has become one of my regular spots. The coffee is always great, and the service is top-notch. Shubham, in particular, is fantastic—he consistently anticipates what I need and makes every visit a pleasant one. Highly recommend this place!
Sachin J — Google review
We tried the salmon bagel and the bread was stale as a rock, the salmon itself was ok but the bread was not toasted or warm, just cold and dry like prison food, the chicken panini was dry like it was microwaved from the freezer, coffee was mid, the iced matcha latte had huge ice cube chunks, the matcha itself was flavorless. One blonde worker has a staring problem, we are just finding our spot and sitting and shes js staring us down, the only good food was the blackberry cheesecake but the ratio was off, like biting a cube of sugar cheese. Only ate the food cuz it was so overpriced.
Jeeno L — Google review
It is located in the middle of town. Good size coffee shop. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Reasonable prices.
Sally R — Google review
The coffee was good - I got a cafe mocha with a French vanilla shot - tasted like Kawartha Icecream moose tracks melted, which was really good. Staff seemed to be arguing when we got there and we had to wait like 10 minutes before one of them took our order - that was kind of a letdown. But once I got the coffee, it was all good.
Sonam M — Google review
One of the best coffee spots I’ve tried in Banff :) Can’t say the same about their matcha though, but I guess that’s why it’s more of a coffee bar haha. Really good coffee and great atmosphere!

Whitebark Cafe, nestled in the scenic town of Banff, Alberta, Canada, is a charming mountain retreat that attracts both travelers and locals. This cozy cafe is celebrated for its meticulously prepared espresso drinks and an enticing array of freshly baked pastries. The welcoming ambiance and attentive staff ensure a memorable experience with every visit.
Cute cafe in the middle of Banff national park. It's furnished beautifully and equipped. They have an extensive menu as well as attentive staff. I had a matcha latte here and it was delicious, it was smooth and you can tell the ingredients were high quality! Lots of space both inside and outside the cafe to get some work done. I like how clean the cafe is and the natural beauty of Banff mountains surrounding the cafe itself. This is a wonderful pitstop location right before going into deeper adventure into Banff national park. If your living in the Banff area I do recommend taking a stroll down to this cafe spot.

Early-morning lifesaver! ☕️🍳 Whitebark Café was the perfect start to our day in Banff! Their drip coffee was absolutely delicious, and the frittata was fresh and flavorful—exactly what we needed. We really appreciated their early opening hours, which made it easy to grab a tasty breakfast before catching our early morning bus to Lake Louise.

Whitebark Café is a gem in Banff! I had the Americano misto and it was perfectly balanced—smooth, rich, and just what I needed to start the day. The pork and fennel rolls were a standout—flaky, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Cozy atmosphere, great vibe, and quality all around. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town and looking for a solid coffee and bite to eat.
Ram K — Google review
This is one of the most popular cafe in Banff. It opens around 6am and near the high school transit hub. I tried their spinach-feta bite and vegan quinoa-mushroom roll. Both were really tasty.
Neeraj G — Google review
I ordered a Couscous salad and a hot large latte. The coffee was literally cold, and the salad tasted bland (like no taste at all). It seemed like the salad had been made and kept in display since a long while. Didn’t appear fresh. Would not recommend considering the price they charge for their average food.

Small, great options, made fresh, the guy running it was very friendly, knew regulars which was sweet. Was able to accommodate a peanut/nut allergy and celiac, which is very hard to find. Me and my kids loved it!

100% recommend over any of the overhyped main avenue coffee shops This one is peaceful, and the young man is really kind. He hand made us sandwiches for our hike and makes a great coffee! Pastries are also delicious. Will come back once we visit Banff again!!

We had three coffees on a Tues. afternoon; an Americano, a Rolo Mocha 1/2 sweet, and a Flat White. It wasn't crowded. Sevice was fast and friendly. The drinks were very good. We enjoyed ourselves, and fully recommend this coffee shop!
Dave M — Google review
Fast and friendly service, but super overpriced for what you get. The food is not fresh, and is microwaved at order time. Also, portion sizes are quite small. The coffee and hot chocolate here are freshly made and taste good. I'd come back for the drinks, but definitely wouldn't come back for food here.

It's a nice place to sit down, have a cup of coffee and spend a lazy afternoon in Banff. The good thing is it is one of the very few places where you actually can have a double espresso shot in small sized drinks like cappuccino. Unlike the other stores where you have to order the large sized drinks to get double espresso shot or pay extra to have the added shot. The staff is extremely nice. They have pastries as well. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The bad thing is the wifi. It is super slow. So don't even think of coming here and working. It's a shame though. Could easily have been one of the top places to sit and get some work done. Other than that the coffee drinks are reasonably priced. The taste is good. Good place for killing some time. Not everyday you wanna do all the hiking :p

It’s open earlier than everywhere else and for us that was a huge plus to start our day. Fancied myself to a tea and a sausage roll. Channeling my inner Gordon on that one. Great staff helping us get to the bus on time. Highly recommend.

HORRIBLE STAFF (same rude Asian lady who is mentioned in some of reviews that are a year old - Visit only if you like being insulted numerous times! We visited at around 11am on a Monday while only 2 people were sitting on a table inside. The staff never acknowledged us. After waiting for around 5 mins, my wife asked “Hey, are you able to take our order?” The two staff members looked at each other (not at us) and went back to their respective things. Utterly confused, we asked again and this super rude Asian lady looked up and said “No!” and that’s it, no follow up. Another pretty cafe across the street with amazing coffee and baked goods got our business. We came back to check out a plant shop inside that complex and ran into another friend couple from the UK who were sitting at a table (placed in common areas), so we sat down for a quick hello. The same rude Asian lady came out and said “Get up and leave, this is our property and only for our customers”. I mean I totally understand the property part but ALL tables inside the cafe were vacant now and our friends had bought coffee from them. At the very least, she could have requested the same thing politely. What a sad person running this cafe into the ground. I don’t know how they’ve managed 4+ rating.

Tea house
Canadian restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Banff National Park, Lake Agnes Tea House is a charming and enduring cafe that offers stunning views of the surrounding lake. The tea house boasts an extensive menu with hundreds of tea varieties, from Rooibosan to Kyoto cherry rose. Visitors can enjoy light fare such as homemade oatmeal brown bread sandwiches, carrot cookies, and vegetable barley soup prepared by an on-site baker. Accessible via a scenic 7.
Beautiful hike! 🌲⛰ About 3.4 km up (400 m elevation) from Lake Louise with nonstop views — Mirror Lake, the Big Beehive cliffs, and finally the stunning alpine waters of Lake Agnes. The tea house is rustic and charming, serving 100+ teas and fresh-baked snacks. Bring cash, go early, and dress for changing weather. A perfect mix of exercise, scenery, and a delicious reward! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really nice and simple hike. Do you need poles? Not unless you have bad knees. I have a few pictures that show a really smooth trail except for a few parts. It’s cardiovascular challenge but not a technical hike at all. The tea house on top is wonderful. It took us about 1.2 hours to get to the tea house and 45 min to get down from there. Highly recommend it!
Shelley D — Google review
This little surprise at the top by beehive mountain was great! They had a huge selection of teas maybe around 30 different ones. The food menu itself was okay having no items contains meat on the menu but still had some great soup and yummy nachos. The views from the top were fantastic being able to see the lake and the mountains as well as the whole valley with a little waterfall at the top! Only downside is that the bathrooms are a little hike up and there only 2 so there’s a line.

one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. great hike up to the tea house (just over 2 miles/3km) starting down by the real touristy area of Lake Louise meandering its way up to Mirror Lake (which splits off into other, longer hikes for those who are more prepared) people riding horses, lots of mountains and snowy peaks (even in the summer) low lying fog/clouds. what I would most recommend for the hike up is to go as early as possible (like be there by 8:30am) the trail gets super busy, so the earlier you get there, the less it will feel like your in an outdoor checkout line and the more it will feel like an amazing hike. The tea house is great. The food lovely, the views even better. Definitely a recommend from me, and one of the neatest places I’ve ever been.
James N — Google review
Great experience at the end of a beautiful hike! Tea biscuits and jam were great. The Lake Agnes Breakfast Tea was good too. They were accepting cards when I was there. Save the staff some trouble and offer to carry down a (small) bag of trash when you leave!
Melanie B — Google review
The hike up to Lake Agnes Tea House is fantastic; the tea house itself, however, leaves a bit to be desired. Luke-warm tea and everything else served at room temperature, which is quite cold. Granted, it’s in the middle of a mountain, but surely a hot cup of tea isn’t too much to ask for, nor warm scones/biskets. Service was more patchy than consistent. Considering the location and the view, I can see so much potential to turn this tea house into something special. Maybe it was because we were nearing the end of the season and it was closed inside. Not sure.
Rob W — Google review
🍵 Must go tea house!!!! Just finished the gorgeous 6km hike up from Lake Louise and this place is the perfect reward. The tea house is incredibly cozy and has such a unique, almost Himalayan feel to it. It's like a little piece of the Alps or Tibet tucked away in the mountains. The baked goods are fantastic, we had a chocolate loaf and a cinnamon loaf, both were super fresh and delicious. The tea (we tried the maple black and Long Island strawberry green) was the perfect thing to warm up with. For the quality and the fact they haul everything up by foot or horses, the prices are totally fair and reasonable. And huge bonus points, they take credit/debit cards! No need to stress about carrying cash up the trail. So convenient. This spot is a true Canadian gem. If you make the trek to Lake Louise, you gotta hike up to this tea house. It's an unforgettable experience. Pro Tip: The hike is a good workout, so bring water and layers. But knowing a pot of amazing tea and a treat are waiting for you at the top makes it all worthwhile

After a rewarding 3.5 km hike from Lake Louise, we stopped at the Lake Agnes Tea House and it was absolutely worth it! They have an amazing selection of teas, and the view from the top is just breathtaking. A perfect spot to relax, sip, and soak in the beauty around.

The Walliser Stube, located at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Hotel, offers a delightful dining experience with its traditional Swiss menu featuring cheese and oil fondues, raclette, appetizers, salads, and desserts. The restaurant's signature Chateau Experience presents a three-course fondue dinner including cheese fondue to start, chateaubriand steak as the main course, and Toblerone chocolate fondue for dessert.
We were lucky enough to stay here as part of our tour and decided to have dinner here. From the moment we were shown to our table, our server Asher was there to make sure we had everything we needed. We had the fondue experience and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Asher was attentive without being obtrusive and super helpful and friendly. We enjoyed chatting to him.

We had a fantastic dinner here while we were staying at the hotel. Two of us did the three course dinner while our son got the pork chop. My wife and I each had the filet. We started off with the cheese fondue, which was delicious. It came with bread as well as vegetables and pickles to dip in the cheese. I really liked the vegetables more than the bread. The filets were perfectly cooked and were so good. For dessert, we got the chocolate fondue with many different morsels to smother with chocolate. Some might complain about the portions being small, but we thought they were absolutely perfect. Everything tasted so good, and we left very satisfied without that overly full feeling. I did splurge and ordered the premium wine pairing, and I have to say it was perfect for my palate. I have been under whelmed with wine pairing in the past, but not here. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful and provided a great experience. The only thing that is a deficit is the cost, so viewing this as a special treat helps!

What more can one ask for. The view alone is worth the price! The wine selection beyond compare! The service, oh yes the service. Our server Melanie was an absolute gem. Very knowledgeable! What a pleasure! I did enjoy my tomahawk schnitzel. Perhaps a little unusual combination but it was certainly lovely. The dessert was amazing A newly invented and very inspiring peach Strudel! Highly recommend.

Really nice and straightforward restaurant in the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. There’s one room with amazing views of the lake, and another room with no views, so request (if you can) the room with the view. Additionally, there’s a full wine rack w/a ladder that’s very cute and actually gets used. We split the raclette (which was a “deconstructed” version of a traditional raclette) and split the tenderloin. Both were excellent. We’d definitely eat here again, but you also can’t go wrong with the other hotel restaurants

I had the absolute best experience at Walliser Stube thanks to our incredible server, Asher! He went above and beyond to make my birthday so special. He made me feel truly seen, cared for, and celebrated in a way I will never forget. His warmth, attention to detail, and genuine kindness turned the evening into something magical. Asher didn’t just serve us—he created an experience and made “special” happen. Thank you for making my birthday unforgettable!

My wife and I visited Walliser Stube twice while we were at the Fairmont. The first night for full dinner. Everything was top notch. Our server Nick took amazing care of us and also had a ton of great wine knowledge to share with us. Cheese fondue (truffle), tenderloin, and then chocolate fondue were all 10/10 excellent. The 2nd night- we came for only chocolate fondue and a glass of wine, we didn’t have a reservation and were seated in the bar area. Nick was our server/ bar tender and wow was he great. Will absolutely be back.

This family-owned franchise, originating from Calgary, offers seasonal flavors and features local wildlife photography on its walls. Located in downtown Banff, it's an ideal spot for travelers looking for freshly brewed coffee, breakfast options, and light snacks at reasonable prices.

I had the chance to pass by twice during my trips in Banff, one time I picked a double espresso coffee and the second time I picked some snacks, including sandwiches and cold drink, all the choices were delicious and perfect. It is located in the heart of Banff and offers good choices for the snacks during the different trips. The staff are friendly and provide a super fast service. It is recommended for anyone visiting Banff

There was a queue right in front of the cafe a few minutes before opening. We waited around 10-15 minutes until we got to order but the coffee and food were served fast. If you order brewed coffee, they’ll serve it right away. I noticed most customers just order takeout and leave right away. The cafe wasn’t that crowded even if the line to order was never ending! The food was pretty decent, especially for ready-to-eat cafe food. Coffee was great, too. They have a lot of seats inside and more seats outside with a nice view.
Jeanne S — Google review
Not the greatest place. I got the pumpkin pie latte, caffe latte, and turmeric latte. They were all pretty mid, we also got the black forest muffin, which was okay. Their latte art however was really pretty. The place isn't very expensive but I wouldn't say it's super cheap either, taste wise. I wouldn't really recommend it since there are better options, but go for it if you'd like.

After eating lunch at farm and fire we came here to get a coffee and chai before hiking. Upon meeting the person at the register. You could not ask for less personality. We went ahead and ordered and waited a long time for our drinks. It wasn’t super busy either. The barista literally put the chai powder on the bottom of the cup and poured oat milk on top and didn’t mix it then gave it to us and told us to mix it. The chai and coffee were so bad that after leaving we threw them out. I have never had a chai given to us to be left to mix and prep it. That’s the job of the person making the drink yet they still ask for a tip before you get the drink. Highly expensive and not worth the money. Definitely go somewhere else!!!!

The café boasts a warm and inviting ambiance, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a delightful high tea experience. With its promise of sustainable and eco-friendly coffee, Second Cup is popular among Canadian coffee shops. It also has a loyalty program available for customers.
I recently visited SECOND CUP CAFE , and it was such a delightful experience! The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfect for relaxing, working, or catching up with friends. The coffee was rich and aromatic—clearly made with care and quality beans. I tried their latte and a fresh pastry, and both were absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. I especially appreciated the calm background music and the thoughtful décor that made the space feel cozy and personal. Whether you’re a regular coffee drinker or just looking for a comfortable spot to unwind, this café is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

They keep giving me a paper cup for staying in instead of a ceramic cup. Unfortunately I cannot visit here anymore if they don't act more sustainably, especially in a national park. All it takes is saying "to stay or to go?" after the order is taken, then providing the correct cup.

Unfortunately my experience here was not too great. First, I have to mention that the service was good. The employee was incredibly friendly and helpful. The coffee, on the other hand, seems to be subpar. I ordered an iced white mocha and it primarily tasted like whole milk. My wife ordered a vanilla bean latte, but it did not taste too great either. The lack of customization to the coffee drinks is unfortunate. The shop was clean, however. I would not recommend this place to friends or family.

Good atmosphere and great service, but the latte was bit, kind of when you burn a coffee to the ground. Sorry, although the environment and service was 5 stars, you guys need to check the your coffee quality because at the end of the day we go there for a good cup of coffee.

I loved this shop. Plenty of seats in a very cozy lounge setting. Good breakfast options. Also a great place to pick up some last minute souvenirs like maple syrup and chocolates. Would have given 5 stars for all categories if the wait time was shorter. But overall we are glad that we decided to come for a bite before driving back to Edmonton.

$19 (including tip that starts at 18%) for mediocre avocado toast. Will not return. Nice setting but not worth it in my opinion

I ordered a lavender honey latte and was patiently waiting at one of the window seats. I noticed one of the baristas make a hot drink and set it at the drink stand. She took the drink ticket and placed it on the metal stick where the finished drink tickets go. She then continued to talk to her coworker. No name was called out and I waited a few minutes until I had to go up myself and look at the drink ticket pile to see if it was my drink. I found this odd because prior drinks the barista would call out the persons name.. other than that the lavender honey latte was good

Ordered 2 Cappuccinos, apple juice and a lemonade! This was on our way to parking, where we had few minutes left on our ticket…also, bought playing card… Then waited…about 5 personnel were working and engaged…but no news of my order! I went and bought two tea boxes also…so paying like 100$ and yet, order not ready! They asked me, are you waiting for something!!?! I said yes!!! So, at least one person jumped on it while the other was in denial mode! Shouting Gregory! Gregory! one of the personnel looked at me, “are you Gregory?” I was like, “if I was, I would have picked up my order! I am clearly not”! From that, I noticed the crew lacks experience… Anyways finally the lady who jumped on the issue, checked with Cashier, noticed nothing was communicated in the system, prepared the order and gave to me! And we got late for our parking exit!

Satay chicken pho broth was soooo flavourful. Was a bit disappointed it did not come with actual satay but it’s truly one of the best and most unique pho’s I’ve had.

I have been eating from peak for the better part of two years, today i ordered my usual Bahn Mi and the meat portion was substantially smaller than usual and it was essentially just salad. I called to let them know as a regular, just curious if there had been a change and was met with a very abrasive and rude response telling me that this is just normal, very disappointing from my favourite quick lunch spot in Banff, wont be going back any time soon.

Disappointing Experience - Avoid if You Can This place operates on a "pay-first" system, which isn't inherently bad, but it seems to reflect their overall lack of customer service. Don't expect any help or guidance after you've paid. We specifically asked for no green onions (scallions) when ordering our pho. Despite our clear request, it arrived loaded with them. When we pointed this out, we were simply told to pick them out ourselves. It's frustrating to have a simple dietary request ignored and then be left to fix it. To top it all off, the pho itself was the worst I've ever tasted. There are far better options out there. Save your money and go elsewhere.
YC C — Google review
Portion size was huge. Food was average. Had the summer roll which was huge but not that tasty. I had the vegetable and tofu pho which was a little disappointing. Where was the basil? Tofu was fried and only vegetable (besides the ‘usual’ ) was broccoli. Broth didn’t taste very authentic either 😕

Atmosphere is 5. Drink is 4. Food is probably a 3-3.5. for value vs worth vs taste.Opens up early - not many places do in banff. They have good coffee so I'll give a high rating on that. There are some food options but I find the pricing quite high for what you're getting. Halloumi avocado toast for $18 seems hefty where you can find a full breakfast for the same cost or less. It was also good but not $18 amazing imo. Great atmosphere. Service was ok. Just not sure about the food cost. Would come back for coffee but not for food.

My mom and I wanted to give this cute coffee shop a chance due to its cozy-wooden interior and promising menu. We ordered a Ube Latte with a shot of espresso + almond milk. Unfortunately, this did not live up to our expectations and standards (speaking from Toronto cafe experience). She described the espresso to be like “burnt coffee” and that it was not worth the $10 cad. I also agree - when I first took a sip of the drink, it tasted burnt/more roasted than regular coffee I’m used to and there was no hint of ube/purple yam flavouring at all (kind of expected from the magenta instead of bright purple colour). The service was okay. Nothing memorable - as a busy coffee shop, the employees seemed focused. The interior was cozy and pastel. Very nice for Pinterest photos with limited seating (15+ people). We will unfortunately not be going back for another drink, but if you’re a tourist, maybe their other specialty drinks like the magic mushy might be worth a chance(?)
Ysabella O — Google review
I tried the magic mushy coffee and really did not like it, probably because it was spicy and peppery. I just wanted to try something unique, but I commend Mountain Folk for providing different things from the typical coffee drink. I just wasn't my thing I guess. I did try my wife's oat milk latte and thought that was good. The cafe is very pretty looking and I would love to just chill and work there. It is pretty busy and noisy though, so would imagine it's become more of a quick sit down kind of thing.

This coffee shop is a perfect retreat from the bustling Banff main street. It offers a relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and a diverse selection of lattes and specialty coffees. We enjoyed a Chai Latte and Golden Milk, paired with their tasty banana bread. Prices are reasonable, ranging from $5.50 to $7.

Very cute and cozy interior but my matcha mango(?) smoothie was just ok. You could definitely taste the protein powder. Their coffee looks good though!

Came here twice for coffee and once for breakfast, and honestly, everything was delicious. I’ve found it tricky to get really great coffee in the region (I’m spoiled by London and Berlin standards), but this place did not disappoint. The coffee is spot-on. We also tried the açaí bowl and were pleasantly surprised. Not too sweet, with a proper strong açaí flavor and none of that overly banana-heavy taste you get in a lot of other spots.

We stumbled upon this tiny coffee shop during our evening strolls and made a pact to come back for breakfast the next morning. Best decision ever! Visitors can savor hot and delicious apple cider along with delectable almond croissants, making it an ideal spot for work, study, or socializing. The menu features an array of sandwiches, salads, bakery items like muffins and danishes, as well as parfaits. The friendly baristas add to the welcoming ambiance.
I was looking for a place to have breakfast and I decided to come and give it a try. When I arrived, I realized that the menu was completely different from the one they have on their website. Still, I was happy with my what I ordered because it was up to my liking. I ordered the hot cocoa (hot chocolate) and I wished I could have gotten another one just before leaving the city. I’ve never had one that tasted that good before and I was absolutely in love with it.

Absolutely delicious, both the drinks and the food! I recommend this place for coffees, sandwiches, and treats. Thank you!

I’m so glad I found this place. Food is fresh and reasonably priced. Coffee and pastries are really good too. Highly recommend!

This is a popular outpost of the restaurant cafe. And it gets busy right after 8. I managed to get there before 8, ordered - wrap and a cappuccino and sat down. As I finished my meal the crowd grew and grew and by the time I left at 830, they had brought in another staff and the behind the counter staff and baristas were slammed. Coffee is strong and good. Food is reasonable and they have a turbo chef oven to reheat food. They use real stoneware for food taken in the cafe which I appreciate. I will definitely come back if passing through.

Cute lil coffee place in Banff downtown. Loved their croissants. Their Almond Croissant is the best I ever had. Highly recommend.

We ordered a vanilla latte and matcha latte. It was busy when we went, so a small wait, which was A okay because the aesthetics of the cute little cafe made your time pass just fine. The vanilla latte was delicious. The matcha needed less milk and ice, and more matcha flavour. It was a great local coffee place for a drink to enjoy with the beautiful views of Banff town.

A small coffee shop and cafe in downtown Banff. I cannot say much about their drinks but their sandwiches and bakery goods and pastries were only of "grocery store" quality. Passable but not good. There is a much better option just down the street if you are looking for fresh baked bread and pastries. However, this place usually do not have a line (unlike the other place) so it is quick if you are in a rush.
Matthew C — Google review
If you want a great little cafe that has nice baristas, delicious drinks, a humongous cinnamon roll and doesn't take forever, COME HERE!! I don't know why everyone goes to that other place down the street that has mediocre food and very slow service when this place is AWESOME! Note, if you're entering from the Wolf St side, go past the Indian restaurant and to the left. If you come in the Bear St side, it's right inside the main door (and there's some outside patio seating)

JK Bakery Cafe is a beloved family-owned establishment in Canmore, known for its warm and cozy atmosphere and homemade goods. The cafe offers a variety of savory options such as quiches, soups, and sandwiches for lunch, along with delectable pastries and breads throughout the day. Visitors can also enjoy locally roasted coffee from Mountain Blends in various formats.
Great place for breakfast, lunches and sweet treats! Love the build your own sand-which option and being able to take everything to go! The jam cookies were perfectly delicious, will be going again!

Ordered a veg sandwich and an egg sandwich at JK Bakery. Overall, the server was helpful in understanding our needs. The veg sandwich turned out pretty well and was delicious. However, the egg sandwich was a little overwhelming and difficult to eat, or I would say soggy. The server just overdid the filling. Taste-wise, it was good, but overall it was messy to eat. The place offers free parking and is wheelchair-friendly. It’s a cozy spot to sit, relax, and enjoy your coffee.

We ate grilled cheese toast. It was pretty thin and small but price was high. They don't know how to greet customers and smile. Cherry Danishes were good.

The coffee was delicious! I had a German Apple Strudel too. I’ll be stopping by here every time I am in town!!

We stopped at the JK Bakery near the railroad in Canmore. The quiche was pretty good and the watermelon - cucumber - mint drink was really good. We took some baking home and the Swiss rhubarb cake was good but the chocolate cake was sooo old. It was dry and hard and couldn’t be eaten. The bread looked outstanding but we didn’t purchase any as we were traveling. Overall a good place for a quick lunch when in Canmore.

Came here excited after hiking. Bought coffee and pastries to bring home. All the pastries were boring. They were better to look at. The quiche however was really good. Well done. Service was nice and we got your coffee fast. We also ordered a loaf of bread. It was light and crispy and I was expecting to you be heavier. With all the competition for coffee in the area I think this place is behind.

Fantastic pastries here! We got a cherry cream cheese danish, chocolate croissant, and sprinkle donut - all were delicious! Grabbed a coffee from next door on our way out.
Sarah O — Google review
Purchased a poppy seed sweet bread and dog biscuits baked with bacon and beef broth. The dogs loved their treats! Our poppy seed bread was delicious. Friendly service!
