Tooloulous is a popular dining spot in Banff, offering a taste of Louisiana with its Cajun and Creole dishes. The restaurant has gained a reputation for its generous portion sizes and extensive menu featuring breakfast favorites like pancakes, waffles, French toast, grits, and Cajun-style omelettes. Lunch options include Creole standards such as jambalaya, etouffee, gumbo, frog legs, alligator, and crawfish.
Canadian food has not yet failed me. Literally the best Cajun food/ brunch I had.. idk how I can recover and come back to Dallas after eating so many good meals here 😭

Had breakfast here with the family. Friendly enough staff on arrival and lovely flowers at the front door! Pretty much everything you would expect for a breakfast eatery. I always get a bit freaked out by loads of ketchup / sauce bottles open on a display as I worry about how long they have been there- how can you track the dates of all those bottles?? The decor was a bit confused and I couldn’t work out the vibe…..Masquerade masks 🎭 on the wall along with jazz instruments and a suspended ceiling with 80s style Miami Vice curved arches. But don’t be put off. The food was really good🤨I ate strawberry waffles with cream, my son blasted through chocolate choc chip buttermilk pancakes and my Wife really enjoyed buttermilk pancakes, maple syrup , Canadian 🇨🇦 bacon and cream. We washed this down with tea and water. It is worth noting my son is a pancake expert with real world experience and he rated them highly!

Place with a cool interior. De food was good, price quality a good deal. It was also plenty, ideal after a hike. It has friendly staff who even gave us some tips to explore the area.

Highly recommend! Great food! So tasty, I had the Mile High Stir Fry with spicy shrimp and my husband had the blackened chicken with Cajun fries. The service was warm and friendly, and drinks/food came to the table quickly. Also, well priced. We dined this evening (Sunday). Thanks Tooloulou’s ☺️

A good hearty breakfast after a day of hiking. Hope very helpful and kind. The Cajun Poutine with Andouille Sausage was a really dynamite combiation. The spice rack/hot sauce wall is really fun.

What a massive amazing breakfast. Best breakfast ever!!! Jordans Waffles and The Big Skillet (or something like that name?). So so so yum. Wishing for another right now!

The food here was excellent! We’re Florida natives, so we know what true southern food tastes like. Most restaurants outside of the south don’t really know how to cook authentic southern food. But the fried green tomatoes were on point, the pork belly was perfectly cooked, the remoulade was great and everything was salted just right. Very pleased with the experience!

My shuttle driver recommended this eatery. So, I checked it out 2 days in a row. I would tell the waitress what I was interested in, and they would recommend a different take on it. I must say, those ladies were spot on! I never been to Louisiana because it's too hot and humid for me. I heard about the food scene there. Well, I am good now that I visited the town of Banff in the country of Canada with Louisiana flare! I definitely got my fill of delicious cuisine and wonderful customer service! My compliments to the chefs! 🫶🏽😊🇨🇦🌎

Nestled just a short distance from the lively downtown area of Banff, The Juniper Bistro is located within The Juniper Hotel and offers a unique dining experience. Embracing the Indigenous heritage of the land it occupies, the bistro features an annual gathering of Indigenous elders and showcases a contemporary art collection by First Nation, Metis, and Inuit artists.
Fantastic place. We came here on our way out of Banff very early one morning (me wife and baby), the place was fairly quiet, but the treatment we got was so amazing I am compelled to write a review! Clarence every time he came by would interact with our 6-month old keeping her entertained, and she was thrilled! Made our experience incredible. Then the food and setting of course is awesome on its own. But this is the lasting memory of this place for us was the incredible staff particularly Clarence and our server Theo who was also very helpful. Highly recommend the Benny options and the bison sausage!
Eric O — Google review
We loved the view, they gave us blanket to stay outside even with the cold. The service was perfect, caring and thoughtful people. We had the eggs and bison, it was good but small portion. And we had the chanterelle crepe with sour cream and added the smoked salmon, smoke salmon was delicious but the garlic in the crepe was overpowering for us. We learned afterwards that the chef is Mexican so I would recommend to take the Mexican inspired food. But we LOVED our experience and highly recommend!
Sô E — Google review
Our dinner at the bistro was delicious and the restaurant offers a vegan options. Our host Leo and Sid were gracious and very accommodating. We preferred their dinner menu over breakfast since it has more variety. Our breakfast was a bad experience due to cooking errors. Overall, I would come back for the beautiful view and the atmosphere in the evening.

If you’re looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Banff, I highly recommend Juniper Bistro—especially for their Burrito! It’s packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients and perfectly balanced spices that make every bite memorable. The portion is generous, and the presentation is beautiful, reflecting the care and creativity of the kitchen. Whether you’re fueling up for a hike or just enjoying a relaxing brunch, this Burrito is a must-try. Plus, the cozy atmosphere and scenic views from Juniper Bistro make the whole experience even more enjoyable. A fantastic choice for great food with a view!

We stayed at the Juniper Hotel and ate here for both brunch and dinner. Our service at both meals was fantastic- Elmer and Ankar were kind, helpful, and friendly. The food itself was lovely, and we enjoyed brunch so much that we decided to make back for dinner. The menu was thoughtfully crafted & you can’t beat the views overlooking the mountains while you’re eating. We loved our time here!
Samantha M — Google review
We came here to have our dinner together celebrate my wife's birthday and the ambient, staff and food was top notch! We ordered the truffle mash potatoes, Bison 3 ways (cured, steak, and sausage), pistachio cake, and sorbet (free for the birthday girl). We really liked the food and our server. If you haven't tried Bison before, try it! It has a meatier taste and apparently healthier than beef!
Christian L — Google review
The views are lovely, the food is great, and the restaurant is ok :). This was one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere, ever. I would make a point to go back for the elk sausage and crafty ceasars. Definitely one of the top two spots in Banff for an incredible breakfast.

Wow! Go here for the views and enjoy the nearly Michelin level of food and service. The laid back atmosphere made it even better! It was our tenth anniversary and Bisheen (sp?) gave extraordinary service. We sat on the patio to enjoy the evening sunset highlighting the mountains. His suggestions of the crunchy vegetables with the trout and side of asparagus were superb. We were leaning towards the yummy sounding Brie but are so glad to try the unique appetizer of veggies and dips. The dried carrot chips were unique and I have never had dehydrated capers before! So unique! The pairing with a bottle of rose from BC at our server’s suggestion was fantastic!

Restaurant
Farm & Fire is a modern restaurant located in the Elk + Avenue Hotel in Banff, Canada. The restaurant prides itself on its farm-to-fork concept, using ingredients from small, local, organic farmers to create a menu with Canadian flair. The dishes include barbecue 'pig wings,' slow-roasted rotisserie chicken, mushroom orecchiette pasta, and flatbread pizza. The drinks menu offers Canadian wines, local craft beers, and unique cocktails made with Canadian spirits.
I had the baked salmon bowl for brunch. It was delicious! The chicken sausages were ok but the rotisserie chicken was really good as well. It’s loud in the restaurant and staff could have had better service, however, the service wasn’t bad either. I would come back again.

Stopped by without a reservation and the staff were able to accommodate us within a matter of minutes. The food was incredible. I have joked with friends that two of the best breakfasts spots happen to be in Banff, and this is one of them. The colors and tastes on the plate were beyond. This was an unexpected delight.
Trevor W — Google review
Had a wonderful dinner back in March and tried many items from the menu. Everyone really loved the brussels sprouts, carrots, and the risotto, but the meat was tremendous! Had a really fun waiter who also gave us a good wine recommendation. Fantastic spot for while you’re visiting.
Robert L — Google review
Everything is expensive in the area, so I didn't deduct any points. The 5-star rating comes from fresh ingredients, great tasting food and good service. We ordered 2 kids classics, bison Benny, and duck leg. The portions are moderate, but they all taste amazing. I also noticed super heavy silverware, that usually is a good sign.
Ken H — Google review
Came in here to eat lunch and it looked busy. I told the hostess I understand if she didn’t have anything available since they look busy. She gave me a look and said they aren’t busy. After waiting 15 minutes I got a table for two. The waitress was friendly however slow to fill drinks and take orders. When we got our food it was very good and unique! It is a slightly limited menu and I’d eat here again, just interesting how the tone was set. Not busy but was packed and service was slow. Had to ask for our tab too.
T T — Google review
Brandon was our server and he was impeccable. He offered superb recommendations. I ordered the vegan mushroom wellington and my husband ordered the duck for dinner. Our meals were delicious. The flavor profile on both dishes will not leave you disappointed, we both were internally doing our happy food dance. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a laid back vibe with a modern elegant look. The lighting was perfect, not too dim and not too bright. The music was of course, the best era of music.. the 80's. If you're ever in Banff, this is definitely the place you need to visit.
Sandy E — Google review
The food is well prepared and quite tasty. The mains are meant for sharing so the portions are pretty big. I got the pork tenderloin and it was made to perfection. The apple chutney with the peppers was *chef’s kiss* sooo well paired with the pork . All the servers are kind and well versed in the menu items. Brandon is a gem .
Jenelle N — Google review
We visited this place with friends and were very pleased! We ordered breakfast, brunch, and two lunches — everything was served very quickly, within about 15 minutes after we were seated. The service was excellent: the staff were friendly, attentive, and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The food exceeded our expectations — everything was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals, and we were left with nothing but positive impressions. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The only minor issue we encountered was with parking. We had to search for a spot and ended up parking a bit further from the entrance. However, this didn’t spoil the experience — everything else was truly great. Highly recommend this place for a tasty start to your day or a relaxing lunch. Thank you to the team for such a wonderful experience!

Melissa's MisSteak is a well-established restaurant in Banff, known for its cozy log cabin atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant has been a local favorite for over 30 years and offers a diverse menu, including breakfast until 4pm, lunch options like burgers and sandwiches, and Canadian mains for dinner. The historic building housing the restaurant adds to its charm. While it may feel old school, the nostalgic appeal and upstairs bar with affordable drink specials make it worth a visit.
We came here for lunch on a weekday around 1 PM, and the place still had plenty of seats, which was nice. I ordered the Prime Rib Benny and it was so delicious! Instead of the usual English muffin, they used Yorkshire pudding, which had a slightly crispy shell and a fluffy, buttery inside. The beef was juicy and soaked into the pudding, and with the runny egg yolk on top, everything just came together perfectly🤤 I asked for the shredded potatoes to be crispy, and they came out golden and crunchy, exactly how I like them. My partner got the fish and chips, and we were both really surprised by how big the fish was. It was a whole fillet, nicely fried, and the inside was still moist and soft, not dry at all. Definitely something we’d recommend. The staff were friendly, and the prices felt pretty reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. Overall, it was a really nice experience!
Cami L — Google review
We've been here many times over the years. We know all the food is top notch, the food prices and portions are the best. Our waiter was amazing as well. Its a busy spot but the food comes out quite quickly. Apparently they have the best French onion soup, I never tried it was it was a rave at our table. And those ribs on the appetizer menu are HUGE! We definitely will be coming back
Carla P — Google review
Melissa’s MisSteak in Banff was a great breakfast spot overall! The restaurant was spotless and smelled amazing when we walked in, which made for a really nice first impression. Our server — we didn’t catch his name — was awesome. Super friendly, easygoing, and made the experience better. We had a window seat with a stunning mountain view, which was honestly one of the highlights of the visit. The food was solid. The hash browns were tasty and crispy, and the sausage was okay — not bad, just a bit mediocre compared to everything else. The scrambled eggs, though, were a bit of a mixed bag for me. They were dense, a little gelatinous, and had a strange texture that threw me off. Not terrible, but not my favorite. Overall, I’d still call it an above-average breakfast spot. The service, view, and atmosphere were fantastic, and most of the food was delicious. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 just because the meal wasn’t quite exceptional, but I’d still recommend it if you’re in Banff!

Was our last night for dinner out visiting, and thought a good steak house would hit the spot. It did but I wasn't blown away to be honest. It wasn't bad at all so please dont think im saying that. it was just good not amazing great. Service from tosh was awesome. The reason I gave 4 stars is mashed potatoes seem like something from school cafeteria steak was cooked perfectly but didn't have much flavor, still tender though. The spaghetti squash was delicious. This is Just the experience we received .

We were seated promptly and given beautiful window seats. The waitress ( KIM ) was very knowledgeable and honest…. The steaks and lobster and Yorkshire tail were awesome!!! Great job everyone.
Dave B — Google review
Nice spot for lunch. Service is good and food is great. Came by between 2-3pm so there was not a long wait between orders. I had the buffalo starter, steak and chips main and the brownie for dessert. Worth a visit!
Bradley K — Google review
The steak was delicious, with just the right tenderness that even the kids enjoyed. The side dishes were also very flavorful. The pork ribs were prepared by frying, and adding a bit of lemon juice for seasoning was just right perfect to go with a glass of beer. The lobster was also well-prepared. Next time I’d like to go back and try their brunch.

Great place to have dinner. We had prime rib 😋 it was very good. It was our 50th Wedding anniversary 💕. We had great service. The restaurant was cozy. Greatly recommended. We were offered champagne 🍾 which was very good and a free dessert 🍨 as it was our 50th anniversary.

The restaurant's rustic-chic ambiance, with warm hues and wood accents, creates a laid-back atmosphere perfect for enjoying hearty Southwestern-style dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had an amazing waiter named Christian from Slovakia. He was helpful, friendly and encouraging. He told us that everything in the restaurant is made from internal secret recipes: hamburger mixes, soups, marinades, sauces, etc. the meal was so fresh!
Sharie K — Google review
A neat little corner diner-like restaurant. The food offered a sense of comfort like home cooking does. Really good eats to re-fuel for hiking, biking etc. I got a turkey club with corn and sweet potato soup. My mom got a chicken burrito with chips and salsa. Also got a mixed berry mocktail which was divine. Food came out quickly, within 15 minutes. Our server was also very kind and checked up on us throughout the meal, ensuring it was alright. Would recommend 😋
Madison — Google review
Maybe I shouldve tried something a little more interesting, but the Rundle Mnt breakfast was very average. The wildberry compote has a weird texture to me, the potatoes weren't super seasoned, and the eggs weren't seasoned at all. The french toast was pretty decent, though! The water is straight from the tap and has a bit of a chemical taste 😅 Service was fine, the place was quiet and had a southern feel.
Jess — Google review
Went for a late lunch on Tuesday. Not many customers except one other table with a big group. Our server was nice. Ordered the salmon plate and huevos rancheros. Both solid dishes. Nothing fancy just good food. It wasn’t a wow kinda meal but it got the job done if you’re hungry.
Nick W — Google review
Stopped here to try something out of our usual places to eat in Banff and we're very happy! The waitress was super friendly and quick. It's a busy place so you can expect to wait for a seat around breakfast, we got lucky as a table just opened. The coffee tasted fresh and good, and the scrambled eggs were done just how I like them! 🍳
Michael G — Google review
Best breakfast I’ve ever had - if we’re ever in Banff again, we’ll definitely be back. Pancakes were fluffy + light, berry compote was SO good. No upcharge for real/pure maple syrup (amazing). Potatoes and back bacon were both good - not too greasy. Tunnel Mountain was the perfect serving size. Quick service + super reasonably priced (around $20 per person including coffee, before tip). Overall, a great place for breakfast if you’re not looking for anything fancy/over the top.
Emily L — Google review
The huevos rancheros were excellent! Blue corn tortillas were perfectly balanced between crunch and soft enough to cut, flavor was as good of a classic preparation as I’ve had. Service was friendly and prompt and seating is nice and cozy. Coffee was also above par for a cafe pour, and cup never went empty. Well done🤌

Nice welcoming atmosphere. Something about the place gave me a good vibe like I was back in New Mexico. I had the half sandwich (Club) and chicken tortilla soup. The sandwich was good, as was the soup. The soup had a little spice to it. The service was friendly and efficient. The place get packed very quickly.

The Bison Restaurant in Banff offers a unique dining experience with its focus on seasonal Canadian cuisine prepared in an open kitchen. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced meat and produce, including bison, venison, and duck. Executive chef Brendan Robson showcases his culinary expertise by creating contemporary classics such as bison short ribs, venison striploin, and bison breakfast sandwich.
This was one of those very special dining experiences that we'll talk about for quite some time. The food was absolutely extraordinary. Our server was really wonderful and took great care of us. The atmosphere was great. We tried many of the different foods and then shared dessert and it was absolutely perfect I had the braised bison short rib and keep remembering how good it taste it. I had the cucumber salad but forgot to take a picture of it, it was really really wonderful. Six out of five stars would highly recommend

We have dined here several times over the years and am so happy to have made it back as they have not missed a step at any point and remain our favorite place for fine dining here n town. Simply yum. A thoughtful menu that changes over time for new surprises to discover, with a solid wine menu to pair as u prefer. I love the authentic Caesar and the duck was absolutely divine w the added twist of the confit and that savory yet oh so light broth. Service was top notch once again. Reservations recommended for sure. Enjoy, explore, enjoy some more.

This was our second trip to The Bison and it was just as phenomenal as our first experience two years ago! We absolutely loved the bison short rib and duck during our first visit but wanted to try something new this time. We thoroughly enjoyed the Caesar salad, steak frites and crispy fried chicken!! The flavors along with the textures and contrast was on point! We loved our server, Maria! Thanks for taking such good care of us! Lastly, all of the drinks we have tried (cocktails and wine) have been fantastic too. We will be sure to come back for round 3 the next time we visit Banff!

We managed a last minute reservation for a party of three. We'd been hiking (scruffy but not smelly or covered in mud) and the dining room was upscale but relaxed so we didn't feel out of place. We ordered the Bison Tartar, Venison Steak, Duck, and Spare Ribs... Maybe one of the best meals of my life! I especially loved the venison and I usually hate it. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone interested and will definitely be going back

The Bison Restaurant in Banff absolutely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the warm rustic atmosphere and mountain views set the perfect tone for dinner. The service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We tried the bison tomahawk, and it was phenomenal — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of rich, smoky flavor. Every dish was beautifully presented and made with fresh, local ingredients. A truly memorable dining experience in Banff — highly recommended for anyone looking for top-quality Canadian cuisine in a cozy yet elegant setting!
Raymond L — Google review
I love the presentation of our dinner, however, I found the appetizer is quite unbalance. It is overly seasoned that masked the flavor of the main ingredients. We requested outdoor seating because we had our dog with us. Sadly, it is extremely cold- no heater or whatsoever, which is strange! So i would suggest against it. The food is good but not exceptionally good, hence, 4 stars since I think it is overpriced.
Fiona M — Google review
Dined here several times now and consistently delicious. Good cocktails and friendly service. Second floor covered patio is a nice feature in the summer.

The Bison was, far and away, the best meal we had in the Banff area. Every dish we ordered was superb, but the bison tartare was for sure the standout. The grapefruit cocktail also was one of the better cocktails we've had in a really long time. The tomato tarts were perfect, and so was the burrata. Whitebark Cafe, nestled in the scenic town of Banff, Alberta, Canada, is a charming mountain retreat that attracts both travelers and locals. This cozy cafe is celebrated for its meticulously prepared espresso drinks and an enticing array of freshly baked pastries. The welcoming ambiance and attentive staff ensure a memorable experience with every visit.
Cute cafe in the middle of Banff national park. It's furnished beautifully and equipped. They have an extensive menu as well as attentive staff. I had a matcha latte here and it was delicious, it was smooth and you can tell the ingredients were high quality! Lots of space both inside and outside the cafe to get some work done. I like how clean the cafe is and the natural beauty of Banff mountains surrounding the cafe itself. This is a wonderful pitstop location right before going into deeper adventure into Banff national park. If your living in the Banff area I do recommend taking a stroll down to this cafe spot.

Early-morning lifesaver! ☕️🍳 Whitebark Café was the perfect start to our day in Banff! Their drip coffee was absolutely delicious, and the frittata was fresh and flavorful—exactly what we needed. We really appreciated their early opening hours, which made it easy to grab a tasty breakfast before catching our early morning bus to Lake Louise.

Whitebark Café is a gem in Banff! I had the Americano misto and it was perfectly balanced—smooth, rich, and just what I needed to start the day. The pork and fennel rolls were a standout—flaky, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Cozy atmosphere, great vibe, and quality all around. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town and looking for a solid coffee and bite to eat.

This is one of the most popular cafe in Banff. It opens around 6am and near the high school transit hub. I tried their spinach-feta bite and vegan quinoa-mushroom roll. Both were really tasty.
Neeraj G — Google review
I ordered a Couscous salad and a hot large latte. The coffee was literally cold, and the salad tasted bland (like no taste at all). It seemed like the salad had been made and kept in display since a long while. Didn’t appear fresh. Would not recommend considering the price they charge for their average food.

I’m a Banff resident and have tried every coffee place in town — this one is by far the best! The consistency are unmatched. Definitely my go-to spot for coffee in Banff.

The hot chocolate and vegan coffee cake was amazing. It's also one of the few places that opens early.

We popped in here after lunch and had the best cold brew and banana chocolate chip cookie. It totally made the afternoon 10/10. The staff was so so so nice and welcoming. Completely recommend this spot!

Wild Flour Bakery is a charming and cozy bakery and cafe located in Banff, Canada. It offers a delightful selection of baked goods, croissants, baguettes, and coffee. The bakery has a warm and inviting atmosphere with local art on display. Visitors can enjoy freshly baked bread and pastries along with local coffees for breakfast or grab lunch to go. Additionally, the bakery features a vintage basket offering day-old goodies at affordable prices, perfect for trail snacks.
A great cafe to visit while in Banff! I got espresso, roasted root veg, berry brioche and a banana croissant. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The toasted bread was crisp and fluffy. The berry brioche had just come out so it was warm and soft. Highly recommend!
Jeremy C — Google review
The café was always busy, with a queue of customers waiting to get in. There were seats available inside, on the patio, and in shady spots in the alley. We arrived too late to order a breakfast sandwich, but the smoked sandwich we chose as a substitute was excellent. The homemade sourdough bread was fresh and crispy after being heated, and the meat was juicy and flavorful! For dessert, we ordered the almond croissant. It was flaky and fresh, with a delightful crispy almond topping. Lovely place with friendly staff, highly recommend!
Cami L — Google review
If there‘s a queue, the coffee must be good! This rule of thumb proved to be true once again. The coffee is great and the pastries look amazing. The Almond croissant was out of this world! If you get here and there is no seating available just get in the queue, the turnaround on the tables is quite quick
Luke S — Google review
I saw a lot online about this cafe and it even exceeded my expectations! Perhaps slightly overpriced, but a perfect place for a brunch/light lunch. Excellent coffee. Queue was always long but moved relatively quickly. The GF brownie was amazing! I did not try a pastry but they looked amazing.
Ellie M — Google review
Wild Flour is a lovely spot in Banff if you’re craving fresh baked goods and a cozy café vibe. The pastries and breads are excellent – the croissants were buttery and flaky, and the sourdough is worth taking home. Coffee and lattes were good, though not always the most consistent, and prices are on the higher side (pretty normal for Banff). The café does get busy during peak times, so expect a bit of a line, but the staff are generally friendly and efficient. Great place to relax with a coffee or grab something to fuel up before exploring the mountains.
Vishaka P — Google review
We tried the mocha, cinnamon bun, and almond croissant, everything was great, but the almond croissant was truly on another level. The service was good, and the atmosphere was cozy. Overall, a nice place to stop by for coffee and pastries in Banff.
Patel K — Google review
The service is great, the coffee is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the food is fresh! I only ordered an Americano and chocolate croissant but I saw how delectable all their other pastries and sandwiches looked. If there was anything I could say that would make this place perfect - is I wish there was just a wee bit more chocolate in the chocolate croissant. This is a busy bakery/cafe! Be prepared for a lineup during busy times and possibly needing to grab a seat outside (which is also beautiful).
Sagarika — Google review
We absolutely loved the croissants, the coffees and the Vegan Focaccia Bread. The location and the atmosphere is amazing. I have not given that last star coz of their customer service. I was made to feel a bit uncomfortable while ordering at the counter.

Located within the renowned Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, The Vermillion Room is a luxurious dining spot known for its opulent Sunday brunch buffet. While the buffet is currently on hold, guests can still indulge in the restaurant's à la carte menu featuring gourmet breakfast items like banana bread French toast and steak and eggs. The elegant atmosphere of The Vermillion Room adds to the grandeur of the experience, making it an ideal choice for a special morning treat.
We were staying at the Fairmont for a couple of days. It was part of our trip with the Rocky Mountaineer Rail. The restaurant is on the Mezzanine level and has a great view of the mountain range. We had 3 meals in total. A couple of buffet breakfasts and a 3 course dinner. These were all part of our travel package. In all 3 cases we were impressed with the atmosphere, service, and food. I have been to other Fairmonts, and this one lives up (and exceeds) the standards. The buffet breakfasts had all my usual favorites. I am especially fond of the smoked salmon lox, along with all the accompaniments (capers, pickled red onion). Everything was always fresh, and well presented. I enjoy the buffet experience because I can make the plate with whatever combination I am interested in. They also do I nice job with freshly made smoothies, both sweet and more savory. For the dinner, we were a party of 4, and with a reservation, got seated right away. The packaged meal had all the same entrees as the usual menu, with the exception of the the "seafood platter for two). Our server did a great job of getting us settled in, with menus waters and some cocktails. I got the special "Riviera" cocktail and found it to be nothing short of amazing. (if you like grapefruit flavors). For food, we started with some salads, grilled octopus, and french onion soups. My octopus was a unique dish, with a bit of cured egg yolk. For my entree I got the Chinook Salmon, on a bed of lentils. The other meals consisted of prime rib, and short rib. Everything was hot, flavorful, and good portions. No complaints, just big smiles. We saved room for dessert, and got the Opera Cake, Chocolate Cake, Paris-Brest and Creme Brulee. Unfortunately, this part of the meal was disappointing, with the toasted croissant missing from the Creme Brulee, and the Paris-Brest tasting stale. Not the best way to finish the meal. We did have a short conversation with the manager, and he did apologize. With the exception of the dessert issue, everything else was 5 stars! Would love to come back if we get back to Banff.

A couple words of advice: go early or don’t arrive super hungry. The food is a 10/10 but it closes at 9pm and the later you go, the more likely they are out of things and the kitchen backs up a bit. Now on to our dinner, we loved the place and our waiter Jeremy (I think was his name). The food is fantastic. We loved the French onion soup, steak frites, and gnocchi. Loved this spot!
David L — Google review
Fruits are super fresh. Smoothie and oatmeal taste wonderful! Good atmosphere, amazing views, and high end vibes. Pastries 🥐 are good too. Avocado toast doesn’t taste like what we expected. Yogurt parfait doesn’t taste good. Cooked food can be better, sausages were real meat, but chewy and cold. But service is great! So is the view
Yun Z — Google review
My wife booked a 7:00 pm dinner reservation for a “nice dinner” during our first visit to Banff. Let me start by saying the hotel is beautiful, the view from the terrace is amazing (make sure you get there early enough for pictures), and our server, Ellen, was excellent. The drinks were good too. Where things went sideways was the food. The French onion soup is good, but the escargot lacked any flavor other than butter and pastry. No flavor of garlic or herbs as one would expect. It seemed to be cooked well and the presentation was nice, but it just lacked flavor in general. I had the lobster gnocchi which seemed as if they had forgotten to add the sauce. The gnocchi were browned and dry, and the lobster was so-so. For $55 a plate I expected something much more than what I received. I have seen pictures of this dish in other reviews and there is plenty of a creamy white wine sauce which was not present in my dish. My wife got the pork chop which I thought was ok, but she did not love it. It comes with a thin layer of a pungent cheese that just did not pair well with the dish, in our opinion. We decided to cut our losses and skipped desert. Let me also say that I never send food back and almost never complain, but for a $200+ dinner it was disappointing. We shared our feelings with our server and she appreciated the feedback and gave us a partial discount which we were not expecting, but I would rather have paid for an amazing meal. Also, no cocktail napkins, placemats or tablecloths, no candle on the table or fresh flowers. It did not feel special, and for the location and cost it felt like a miss. Based on our experience we would not go back or recommend it until they make some changes.

We had lunch here for birthday. They had given us complimentary cake for the birthday boy. I added a note while booking for reservation asking for vegeterian options for my vegetarian friends ,they read and took care of. Our waiter Himanshu was very attentive and service oriented he answered all questions we asked about the dishes. Very professional 👏 . Desserts were delicious. 😋

Late review, ate here on August 24th around 7:30PM. Steak Frites was amazing, cooked perfectly and amazing flavor. My photo doesn’t do it justice 😭. Fiancé got the burger which was also very tasty (she’s gluten free and even with the gluten free bun still good)! My only complaint here is the seating. It can feel weirdly close to other people. We got seated next to a large family with children who were on the noisier side. Another time I remember being able to hear everything this couple seated next to us was saying. Only complaint tho!

We came for the Sunday brunch at The Vermillion Room and the setting is absolutely beautiful—classic, elegant, and perfect for a special occasion. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and offered a nice variety, from pastries to seafood to carving stations. That said, for the price point, it would’ve been great to see something like endless mimosas or a complimentary drink option included. Still, a lovely experience overall with great service and a stunning view. Worth checking out if you’re looking to treat yourself in Banff.

Brazen is an upscale restaurant located in the heart of downtown Banff, attached to the historic Mount Royal hotel. The restaurant offers playfully elevated fare, such as the Grilled Cheese Benedict and the classic Mount Royal burger. For breakfast, Brazen serves up bold flavors with dishes like Brazen raisin French toast and croque madame. In the evening, visitors can enjoy Canadian classics with a twist from a menu that rotates seasonally.
Our recent dinner at Brazen in Banff was nothing short of exceptional. As parents of a son with severe allergies (peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, and modified milk ingredients), dining out is often a source of anxiety. Brazen turned that anxiety into pure joy. From the moment we mentioned his allergies, the staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. The menu clearly marks allergens, which is a fantastic starting point, but the team went far beyond that. They took our concerns seriously, double-checked everything with the kitchen, and were meticulous about cross-contamination. We felt confident and safe from the start. And the food? Absolutely spectacular. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Most importantly, our son loved his meal so much he cleaned his plate—a rare and happy event! He was so thrilled that he insisted on gifting his own drawing to the chef as a thank you for making such amazing food he could safely eat. Thank you to the entire team at Brazen for your care, professionalism, and culinary talent. You provided more than just a meal; you gave us a wonderful, worry-free family memory. We cannot recommend you highly enough.

Ordered the mushroom tagliatelle, artic char and a side of cauliflower. The mains were excellent with well balanced flavours. The cauliflower could be a bit more roasted but still tasty! Highly recommend this place for great food! They know what they are doing!
Sharon K — Google review
The service was stellar, but the food unfortunately missed the mark. The mushroom pasta was too salty, the Artic Char was a great temp but the accompanying salad was basically just a simple pico de gallo, and the roasted carrots were missing more sauce/honey. The ribs and the bread were delicious though! I would give it a try again but was sadly expecting more from the meal.

we stayed at the hotel, and the restaurant was nothing short of excellent. the food was incredible, i had an english breakfast on the first morning and it was practically blissful to eat. on the second morning, i had a french toast which was perfect. but the highlight of our experience at brazen was Tom, our server. the sweetest gentleman ever, Tom gave us tips on what to see in Banff, and how to spot animals that we wanted to see. He paid an exceptional attention to detail and was always at our service when needed. Tom was and is an excellent server, and Brazen is an excellent restaurant.

If you are looking for a wonderful dining experience in Banff you would be hard pressed to find a more delightful staff or delicious menu than Brazen in the centre of Banff. We arrived late this afternoon and after settling into our accommodation we happened upon Brazen and were able to get a table for two in what clearly is a very popular restaurant. Jody took our reservation with a smile and checked on us during our meal to see all was well. Michelle who looked after us during our meal was absolutrly delightful and couldn’t have done more to make our meal so memorable. Such excellent service! The menu we were advised was good for sharing and so it was. We ordered the harissa chicken and the pork short ribs, both of which were excellent and very generous servings. We accompanied these two mains with beans and potato side dishes. We were so pleased with our choices. We had no space for dessert but have made a reservation to return again during our stay and will be sure to leave space for what looked to be some excellent dessert choices. Thank you Michelle, Jody and all the kitchen team who have made our first dining experience in Banff so memorable. We look forward to returning. Be sure to make a reservation as this is a very popular restaurant.

Great dinner of interesting preparations of salad and beef. The Brazen Salad was an unusual and tasty mix of greens, roasted nuts, tart gooseberries, with a tangy raspberry vinaigrette, one of the tastiest salads I’ve had. The Ginger Beef was delicious, in a not-too-sweet ginger syrup, with Shishito peppers and pickled onions. Michelle was very friendly, polished, and helpful, with nice recommendations for food and drink. Definitely recommend!

Nestled in the heart of Banff, Eddie Burger + Bar is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts. This casual eatery offers creatively crafted burgers, poutine, and boozy milkshakes that put an adult twist on a childhood classic. The Rocky Mountain burger, featuring an elk patty with blueberry chutney, cheddar, romaine lettuce, sauteed onion and mayo on a brioche bun is a standout choice.
Every time we're in Banff we never miss going to Eddie Burger and I'm so glad they've retained the menu over the years because their burgers are delicious! My husband likes the bison and I usually order a classic, but the elk burger is also amazing. Onion rings are also particularly good, as well as the milkshake. The large portion sizes are well-worth and the service was excellent. The only con is the limited seating so you might want to stop by here first to get on the waiting list and then walk around town.

Great burger spot in the Heart of Banff, right where all the action is, and surrounded by historic architecture. The service was excellent and the food is too! The poutine was enormous, made with high quality cheese curds, delicious vegetarian gravy, and crispy crinkle fries! I had the house made, spiced veggie burger, made like a smash burger - it was the bomb! I added onion, and it was a 10/10! Onion rings on the side are made fresh to order, beer battered and also done right! If you’re looking for a good burger in Banff, you’ve found it!

After a poor visit to Magpie and a stump in Banff Alberta, the owner reached out to me to apologize and make it right. We final had a chance to visit Banff again and visited The Eddie Burger + Bar, which is one of their member restaurants. This visit was spectacular. From the service to the food. We could not be more impressed. The location is not large but it is quaint and cozy. Our server explained their menu from the standard food items to the customize your burger menu. You use a dry erase marker on a special menu where you pick out the options you want. Very cool idea and works wonderful in a burger joint. I opted for the classic Eddie burger while my table mates chose the customized option. Over all the food was delicious and hot. A great stop if you like a great classic burger.

As an avid burger lover, this place was recommended to me. I had the build your own burger with a side of crinkle fries and a chocolate milkshake. I was overly thrilled with how everything tasted. They say a picture's worth a thousand words. We had the Stampede with fries and Elk with deep fried pickles; both burgers were tasty and the fries and pickles, especially the sauce that comes with the pickles, were GREAT. What's most surprising though was the raspberry chocolate milkshake! It was seriously super refreshing and not too sweet ❤️ Highly recommend

Been to The Eddie Burger in Banff a few times and it’s always delicious. The fries are well-seasoned, the burgers are big and top-notch, and I love the create-your-own burger option. It’s a small spot so it can get busy, and prices are definitely on the Banff side, but the quality makes it worth it.

I have tried many burgers in Europe(almost in every country),North-America and South-America. Here, I had the chance to try The Rocky Mountain(with Elk patty). In my humble opinion, this was THE BEST BURGER in my life, the taste is incredible and it just melts in your mouth, you have to try it. My wife was not that keen on having Burgers for dinner(three days in a row). The staff is very friendly and always happy to help you. Evelyn's Coffee Bar is a charming traditional coffee shop that has been a part of the Banff community since 1992. Located on Banff Avenue, it offers a cozy atmosphere and serves an array of espresso drinks, sandwiches, and baked goods. Situated amidst gift shops and jewelers, it provides a convenient stop for grabbing coffee while exploring the area. Additionally, its proximity to Park Distillery makes it an ideal spot to visit after a distillery tour.
An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Banff town centre for great coffee and pastries! My daughter’s name is Evelyn, so this place made her feel really special. The coffee is rich, smooth, and expertly brewed, making it a perfect stop for caffeine lovers. Their pastries are fresh and delicious, pairing beautifully with a latte or cappuccino. The cozy, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make it an ideal spot to relax, recharge, or grab a quick bite before exploring Banff. Whether you’re after a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon treat, Evelyn’s Coffee Bar is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality coffee in a charming setting.

It’s a vibe that all can get down with. Part hipster, part modern, Evelyn coffee bar has outstanding coffee. So much so we came back twice. We got two medium vanilla lattes and of course they did the little design in it! Be prepared to pay for the atmosphere and outstanding coffee. Honestly the best part about this place was the croissants. We ordered two. She got the chocolate one (more like a desert but it had our taste buds poppin) the chocolate was creamy and smooth without it even being heated up. It was like a paste of chocolate smothered inside a crispy crust that was baked to perfection. Just when you think it can’t get any better, if you want to go nuts like me, order the almond croissant. Perfect ratio of thinly sliced almonds across the top, with that gooey paste within. There was not too much, just enough to have you wanting more. The couches are comfy and casual (love the brown leather vibe) but you can also step outside for the view of my favorite mountain in Banff. As always for the bathrooms: I can’t hold it against them because their bathrooms are through the rear exit in the communal mall. I had to go out and go downstairs so they’re quite a bit away away so don’t drink too much coffee and fear of tingling your pants on the journey. For all my loyal review followers I did make that journey, but the cage was locked at seven in the morning. However, they did have a sign pointing me to a secondary location, but I figured that won’t always be the case so we’re leaving the bathroom review out this time.

I’ve been living in Banff for a year and a half, and Evelyn’s Coffee Bar has become one of my regular spots. The coffee is always great, and the service is top-notch. Shubham, in particular, is fantastic—he consistently anticipates what I need and makes every visit a pleasant one. Highly recommend this place!

We tried the salmon bagel and the bread was stale as a rock, the salmon itself was ok but the bread was not toasted or warm, just cold and dry like prison food, the chicken panini was dry like it was microwaved from the freezer, coffee was mid, the iced matcha latte had huge ice cube chunks, the matcha itself was flavorless. One blonde worker has a staring problem, we are just finding our spot and sitting and shes js staring us down, the only good food was the blackberry cheesecake but the ratio was off, like biting a cube of sugar cheese. Only ate the food cuz it was so overpriced.

The coffee was good - I got a cafe mocha with a French vanilla shot - tasted like Kawartha Icecream moose tracks melted, which was really good. Staff seemed to be arguing when we got there and we had to wait like 10 minutes before one of them took our order - that was kind of a letdown. But once I got the coffee, it was all good.

We had the chicken burrito and the Mediterranean bowl with freshly made strawberry kiwi lemonade. The food was very fresh and delicious! It was around $55 for the items we ordered, but the portion sizes were very good and overall I think it was good value for the price we paid in today’s economy. Place was very busy, but staff were also very accommodating and friendly and brought our meal out to us on the patio. A highly recommended lunch spot if you're looking for something healthy and fresh, that will leave you satiated!

Randomly found this place while driving by looking for something quick, healthy, filling, and delicious. Family loved it! Several kid friendly options! The dishes we ordered: green curry, Mediterranean bowl, and Vegan burrito were all loaded with good quality, well-cooked vegetables. The service was amazing and they handled allergies extremely well! This is a must-visit!!!!

We stopped by for lunch and really enjoyed it. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the vegan options were great — creative without being too heavy. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and although it was busy, we were lucky to get a seat. It’s the kind of place I’d definitely come back to. Thanks for a lovely meal in Canmore.

The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed — a nice spot for a late morning meal. Service was pleasant and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was just okay overall. Nothing particularly memorable or unique. One downside was the sourdough bread — it was really hard. Biting into it actually hurt my gums, which definitely took away from the experience. On the bright side, the drinks were quite good. Both the coffee and the hot chocolate were well made, flavorful, and comforting — probably the highlight of the meal. In summary, it’s an alright place if you’re not expecting too much. Great drinks, decent service, but the food (especially the bread) could use some improvement.

Great cafe that specializes in their own teas and lemonades. The food is fabulous. Their baked goods were delicious too. They have a friendly and very helpful staff as well. The seating is plentiful with a lot of outdoor seating. Great spot to recoup after a long day on the trails!

There were 3 of us adults and one child. We ordered a soup, wrap, Mediterranean bowl and a grilled cheese sandwich. All of them came with a side of spiced popcorn on a side. Tasted fresh and healthy. We didn’t eat popcorn, I wish they had different options for the taste. It was a little crowded and loud but we liked it overall.

Delicious lattes ☕️ and great avocado toast 🥑 with everything bagel seasoning. Fresh, flavorful, and served in a bright, welcoming space, a perfect café stop!

Best vegan options to have for breakfast in the town. Vegan Burrito 🌯 Gluten-free wrap and Avocado 🥑 Side up and try London fog. Prices are average and the ambience of the cafe is happening too.

Nestled within the charming Georgetown Inn & Pub, this delightful establishment has been a staple in Canmore since 1993, serving up traditional British cuisine that will transport you straight to England. Known for its mouthwatering fish and chips, the pub also offers a variety of breakfast options and kid-friendly meals. The inviting atmosphere features a long wooden bar and cozy wood fireplaces adorned with antique decor like skis and tennis rackets, creating an authentic feel.
I have went to this restaurant multiple times. My fav is their weekend only Egg Benedict and town hit, fish & chips. Jaison, he is the best. Always have a smile on face, quick with orders and organized. The ambience hit diff in the restaurant. I’ve seen old telephones, winter sports accessories and more. Try their eggs benny won’t get disappointed.

My son and daughter-in-law had a meal at the pub one afternoon while visiting Canmore. Definitely one of the best meals out we have ever had! The food was home cooked at its best! Between us we had the fish and chips, the Guinness Steak Pie and the Beef Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding and each dish was perfection! To finish the meal we all shared the Banoffee dessert which we polished off to the last graham crumb! Soooo yummy! The service was professional yet friendly and you felt like you were sitting in your neighborhood pub where you were known and welcomed. Can't wait to go again next time we are in Canmore!

Was skeptical at first glance, but this place was very enjoyable and the staff and restaurant were also great. Recommend staying here or eating at the restaurant. Fish and chips for dinner was delicious and the omelette for breakfast was tasty. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Worth it.

Comfy soft (but not too soft) beds with 3 different pillow types, cookies and tea and coffee in the room. Clawfoot tub can be used either direction because of the center-mounted faucet. Shower was hot and strong too. Aveda mini shampoos etc. Nice view of the mountains from room 206 from one window, not so much from the other. Gas fireplace was warm. Pub was English pub style, good fish and chips but nothing mind blowing, kinda English pub style so fairly bland but with good sauces.

Our family just had dinner this evening at the Georgetown Inn restaurant… such a wonderful experience. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and absolutely catered to our 3 & 4 year old boys. Our waitress was a gem and went above and beyond to make our meal and time there enjoyable. The nachos were delicious and we would highly recommend!

Beautiful king room. Staff helped us celebrate a birthday with a free drink and dessert at the pub. Room was incredible. Immaculate. Highly recommend. Food and service at the pub are wonderful. The fireplace is so inviting.

We stayed at the Georgetown Inn for 2 nights while visiting Canmore/Lake Louise. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Friendly, helpful staff, clean nice sized room (Elizabeth), comfortable bed, cookies waiting in the room, coffee maker, water pot for hot tea, quiet, great location. From check in, to our departure, everything was amazing. The Georgetown Inn Pub breakfast staff and food were also fantastic. Thanks for making our stay in Canmore a great memory!

Enjoyed the atmosphere and half our food… the chicken pot pie was one of the best we’ve had anywhere! However, the fish and chips were very disappointing, especially for a place that claims to have the best fish and chips in Canmore. They were WAY too greasy and tasted like the fry oil hadn’t been changed in a while. Would not get them again if we ever went back.

Located in Lake Louise Village, Trailhead Cafe is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to fuel up before embarking on mountain adventures. The cafe offers a variety of breakfast wraps, sandwiches, and baked goods, with generous portions that can be customized to your liking. In addition to delicious food, the cafe also serves excellent coffee and cappuccinos to kickstart your day.
Very busy cafe for a reason. Food was good. Wrap doesn't break apart when you bite into it. Had the canadian club and cajun chicken. Both was flavorful. The Houston was pull pork with macaroni. Wait time are bit longer due to volume of customer. Good food requires some patience.
LACH — Google review
The salmon bagel was delicious. The bagel had a nice balance of softness and crispness, and the salmon filling was fresh. Paired with onions and cream sauce, it was incredibly tasty. The shop is quite small, and many takeout customers wait inside or stand by the counter looking at the menu on the board, which makes the space feel even busier and more crowded. I would love to visit again next time I’m in Banff.
Judy H — Google review
After paying $80 for some wraps and salads I asked the staff about the food; the small salad container ($4.50 each) was half full, lettuce was old, the croutons were mush and the dressing tasted weird. He said “ok what do you want? A refund?” I said sure then I heard him tell his coworker that he’s giving us the $8 back because “he doesn’t want to deal with it”. I also asked him about the donair wrap because the description said garlic sauce but the sauce was extremely sweet he said “that’s how we make our sauce”. Overall vibe, price and quality of food was bad.

I guess the lack of nearby coffee shops makes this café a superstar. Cons: The latte was barely warm. It took 30 minutes from getting in line to receiving the order. They refused to serve pancakes at 9:59 😂 (even though the menu says they stop serving them at 10) Pros: The breakfast burrito was a good size and very filling.

Nice setup and move through customers quickly. Very busy Cafe Good food and coffee and loads of options. Nice seated area out the back and some indoor tables a drink wifi available. If sitting out near river do not feed the wildlife. I saw some people feed them and they came from everywhere and were all over the people who quickly packed up and left.

Coffee shop
Eclipse Coffee Roasters, located in Canmore and established in 2014 by Dean Smolicz, is a coffee shop that prides itself on its ethically sourced, high-quality coffee beans. The beans are carefully selected from reputable local farms around the world, many of which give back to their communities. Eclipse Coffee Roasters offers over 10 different varieties of coffee, including blends and single-origin options. In addition to their exceptional coffee, they also serve sandwiches and pastries.
We arrived on a weekday morning around 930AM. Was behind 2 people. Line went by quite fast. Coffee was great. Would recommend their specials. Would also recommend their breakfast croissants and wraps. The ham and cheese croissant is plenty for the morning. The Lavendae Latte was delicious and didn't have a very mild coffee taste to it. If you're a coffee enthusiast, definitely get their recommendations. The coffee is strong and bold with a hint of sweetness. The straight black coffee is wonderful and there are several flavors to choose from. Employees were very nice and helpful as well. Would highly recommend dining in or grab and go before you head out to your trip!
TinaEh V — Google review
The staff are all very welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed everything we ordered! The lavender latte (we tried them with almond and oat milks) has a smooth, subtle taste, similar to a regular latte but with a hint of lavender that balances out the bitterness of the espresso. It is not sweet, perfect for those who want something more than a latte but don’t enjoy sweet drinks. All of the treats tasted like they were made with care. The salted caramel espresso bar was definitely on the saltier side, which I appreciated as I don’t like treats that are too rich and sweet. The banana toffee pie was light and flavourful, and all the different parts of the dessert complimented each other well. We also tried the cranberry oat cookie (not pictured), which was a very well-made and delicious oat cookie! The interior is very large and cozy as well. I highly recommend checking out this cafe!

It was very disappointing experience. I googled before I go, I was excited but the staff wasn’t friendly. no greeting. Their print Epson has an issue to print out the receipt. Before I left, I realized the amount seem not correct. I went to front to ask re-print and the Epson printing had a problem again. I was patiently waiting to print out. After I reviewed my receipt, they double charged me and asked them. The staffs didn’t apologize at all. So far, I haven’t received the refund. The staffs need to train on produce knowledge and hospitality. Very disappointed the customer service. The pastry is good. The chocolate duo pie was yummy, but the outside was wooden. They should remind the client to remove before eating. My daughter just bites the wooden hardly. And they doesn’t have the pieces with the name. If you order multiple pieces, must double check the receipt. I won’t go back to this place.

Absolutely loved my visit to Eclipse Coffee Roasters! The coffee here is top-notch. I had a perfectly made cortado and a delicious cappuccino – you can tell they really know their beans. Beyond the excellent coffee, the pastries were a real treat. The coconut croissant was flaky and flavorful, and the chocolate pie was simply divine! A must-visit spot in Canmore for any coffee lover or anyone with a sweet tooth. Highly recommend!

It is not the first time for me to evaluate Eclipse coffee, but I would like to emphasize how this coffee is really good. The presence of the big coffee machine in the place, explains for you why it is fresh and delicious. The coffee has multiple corners to set, relax and enjoy the coffee. The snacks also are great with multiple choices. The staff as usual, friendly and very active. One of the best coffees ever.

Fun upscale coffee shop with a clean indoor ambiance and lots of coffee items to choose from. They made my flat white perfectly, and the price wasn’t too bad. Lots of indoor seating that’s spaced out and they have their roaster on display. Very fun spot that I can imagine would be a regular for folks who live there.

Amazing coffee specialty in town. Varieties of coffee menus. The quantity is great. Enjoy drinking coffee with the view. Parking available.

The pour over coffee taste like lemon juice thats how sour it tasted . And i am guessing its the technique not the beans because “the barista” kept steering the coffee in the filter while pouring it. I threw away the cup after the 1st sip . Also the waiting line is like 10 to 15 min minimum… so if you dont have time dont pass by in the rush hour time (11 to 12) . Or stick to filter coffee and other caramel with milk and coffee drinks .

100% recommend over any of the overhyped main avenue coffee shops This one is peaceful, and the young man is really kind. He hand made us sandwiches for our hike and makes a great coffee! Pastries are also delicious. Will come back once we visit Banff again!!

We had three coffees on a Tues. afternoon; an Americano, a Rolo Mocha 1/2 sweet, and a Flat White. It wasn't crowded. Sevice was fast and friendly. The drinks were very good. We enjoyed ourselves, and fully recommend this coffee shop!

Fast and friendly service, but super overpriced for what you get. The food is not fresh, and is microwaved at order time. Also, portion sizes are quite small. The coffee and hot chocolate here are freshly made and taste good. I'd come back for the drinks, but definitely wouldn't come back for food here.
Aneel M — Google review
It's a nice place to sit down, have a cup of coffee and spend a lazy afternoon in Banff. The good thing is it is one of the very few places where you actually can have a double espresso shot in small sized drinks like cappuccino. Unlike the other stores where you have to order the large sized drinks to get double espresso shot or pay extra to have the added shot. The staff is extremely nice. They have pastries as well. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The bad thing is the wifi. It is super slow. So don't even think of coming here and working. It's a shame though. Could easily have been one of the top places to sit and get some work done. Other than that the coffee drinks are reasonably priced. The taste is good. Good place for killing some time. Not everyday you wanna do all the hiking :p

HORRIBLE STAFF (same rude Asian lady who is mentioned in some of reviews that are a year old - Visit only if you like being insulted numerous times! We visited at around 11am on a Monday while only 2 people were sitting on a table inside. The staff never acknowledged us. After waiting for around 5 mins, my wife asked “Hey, are you able to take our order?” The two staff members looked at each other (not at us) and went back to their respective things. Utterly confused, we asked again and this super rude Asian lady looked up and said “No!” and that’s it, no follow up. Another pretty cafe across the street with amazing coffee and baked goods got our business. We came back to check out a plant shop inside that complex and ran into another friend couple from the UK who were sitting at a table (placed in common areas), so we sat down for a quick hello. The same rude Asian lady came out and said “Get up and leave, this is our property and only for our customers”. I mean I totally understand the property part but ALL tables inside the cafe were vacant now and our friends had bought coffee from them. At the very least, she could have requested the same thing politely. What a sad person running this cafe into the ground. I don’t know how they’ve managed 4+ rating.

The menu also features delicious burgers and other tasty options like edamame, dirty rice, and street corn.

You got to try the charcuterie board here!! The value is insane if you come during happy hour. The atmosphere is great here and there’s plenty of room to eat on the patio outside. It’s often full so on a sunny day you might want to try making reservations. The food was deadly!! Dang the local meats are fantastic. This came highly recommended by my friend and it didn’t disappoint!! Mmmmmmmm The washrooms were very clean which is something that always impresses me. The story and history of this place are great. It’s very unique and beautiful so you should definitely check it out if you’re in the area. The history is of two mining buddies. This is a mining town and I am an underground miner by trade. So this was fun for me

I’m writing to share some feedback from my recent visit to your restaurant. I’ve enjoyed dining with you in the past, but unfortunately, my latest experience left me a bit disappointed. I arrived shortly before noon and asked to order a burger at 11:50 AM. I was told that the lunch menu begins at 12:00 PM, which I understood and mentioned I was happy to wait the ten minutes. However, I sensed some reluctance from our server regarding my request. When the burger finally arrived, the meat was unfortunately overcooked and quite dry. My daughter only managed to eat half of it. This was surprising, as on a previous visit we had a much better experience.

An absolute highlight of our time in Banff! Some of the best food I’ve had in all my travels as well as the friendliest chefs. We had a breakfast sandwich as well as the salmon eggs Benedict, both of which were out of sight with healthy portion sizes. The sandwich came on an English muffin topped with an arugula salad tossed in a heavenly light vinaigrette, cheese, and pan fried ham. The Benedict was the epitome of how I envision smoked salmon eggs Benedict. We were somewhat worried when one reviewer mentioned they spent $120 for breakfast for two, but ours came out to around $40 (I think 28 for the salmon eggs Benedict and 9 for the breakfast sandwich). We plan to be back to try some of the baked goods and for another round of eggs Benedict!

unassuming menu and tucked away with shuttle busses parked all around, this place is a hidden gem. the avocado toast and breakfast sandwich tasted as good as they looked. the ingredients and presentation were more like what you'd get at the dark moody restaurant of the month, not exactly what you'd expect to pair with a self serve coffee station. the owners are very nice, making up a fresh batch of Chai for breakfast when I asked if they had any. highly recommend this spot

The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is a luxurious castle-like lodging nestled in the Canadian Rockies. This historic hotel offers upscale amenities such as a golf course, refined restaurants, and a top-notch spa. The well-appointed rooms, on-site dining options including Balkan Restaurant and 1888 Chop House, and recreational facilities like indoor and outdoor pools make it an ideal choice for indulgence.
My wife and I came to celebrate our honeymoon at the Fairmont Banff and selected a fairmont Gold standard king room. We stayed From October 27-November 1st. the moment we hit reception we felt welcomed and cared for. The bellhop was quick to take our bags to the room and guide us to check in. The concierge team for Fairmont Gold was extremely kind and personally guided us from reception to our room. He explained all the services included with fairmont Gold and provided a great rundown of the hotel facilities and restaurant. The Fairmont Gold Concierge helped us plan dinners, activities, and had great advice about how to best explore the nearby parks and sites. The food at breakfast and the evening canapés was generous, delicious, and enough to practically live on during our whole stay. It had different items and never felt repetitive. Even outside of the breakfast and canapés hours we could always count on getting a pastry and tea in the Fairmont lounge. The cleaning team that tidied our room each day made it feel new every time we came back and always left something special like chocolates or a folded towel into an animal. Apart from all that, the hotel itself is located in an exceptionally beautiful area. The Bow River and falls just next to the hotel are incredible and walking the golf course while it was closed for the winter season brought us within 7 feet of a family of deer and other wildlife. The service, the beautiful rooms, the historic feel and charm of the castle, the absolutely stunning setting make the Fairmont Banff perfect.

Booked four rooms for a company retreat. Historical building and grounds but overall well maintained and updated. Housekeeping did enter the room for turndown while I was in the shower which was very evident so that wasn’t great. Dined at 1888 Chophouse and Castello as well as utilized in room dining. Food and service at both restaurants was ok, not great. In room dining was good. VIP service team was amazing! They assisted with transportation, reservations, service requests, meeting supplies, etc. Overall a great hotel I would come back to with a few tweaks.

My stay at this high-class hotel was absolutely unforgettable — a perfect mix of luxury, history, and mystery. The property itself feels like stepping into an old European castle, with grand stone walls, elegant chandeliers, and corridors filled with whispers of the past. Every corner tells a story, and the atmosphere is enchanting both day and night. The highlight? The legendary “Room 873.” Known for its eerie tale of the bride ghost, the room adds a thrilling layer of mystery to the hotel’s charm. Guests still talk about the strange sounds, flickering lights, and the feeling of being watched. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, it’s an unforgettable experience that gives the hotel its unique soul. Service was impeccable — staff were professional yet warm, food was divine, and the view from the tower made me feel like royalty. If you love elegant history mixed with a little supernatural adventure, this castle hotel is a must-visit. A truly magical 5-star experience!

My family has been going to the Fairmont Banff Springs for over 30 years, and it still amazes me every time. The views are unbelievable, the setting is pure magic, and the service somehow keeps getting better with every visit. The beauty of the historical hotel is something I'll never get tired of. The food and drinks never disappoint; everything here feels effortless and top quality. I also love the Le Labo scent they use throughout the hotel. It’s such a subtle but memorable touch. And the sleep here is next level. The beds, the quiet, the mountain air; you always wake up feeling completely restored. I always wish I was staying longer. Truly one of the most special places in the world. The good thing is that I've already got my next visit confirmed!

Even before we checked in, I was impressed with the incredible service provided by the Fairmont Banff Springs. I had called ahead to let them know I was proposing to my longtime girlfriend before arriving. Over the phone, they informed me about the process for obtaining approval for engagement photographs at the hotel, stated that champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries would be waiting for us in the room upon arrival, and were incredibly friendly from the beginning. Upon arrival, James at the front desk was more accommodating, welcoming, and friendly than we could've imagined. He took us on a private tour of the hotel, showed us our room, and introduced us to our Fairmont Gold concierge. James even coordinated pushing our dinner reservations back so we would have more time to unwind in our room before dinner. All in all, James made the introduction of the Fairmont Banff Springs one we'll never forget. Upon returning to the room from dinner, James had left a personalized note with day passes to the spa for the next day, congratulating us on our engagement, in our room. He personally helped make our stay a 10 out of 10 experience. Overall, the staff at the Banff Springs helped make our trip unforgettable, even the Champagne and Chocolate-Covered strawberries in the room came with a handwritten note from Arden on the Royal Service Team. The team at the spa was absolutely wonderful, and even the wait staff in the 1888 Steak House was wonderful. We can't wait to return and make more unforgettable adventures in Banff at the Fairmont Banff Springs

The facility itself is amazing, with wonderful amenities and a friendly, professional staff. However, my experience at the Spa felt different from when I first visited 15 years ago. The masseurs were excellent, and the treatment room was very comfortable, but the main dressing and relaxation areas—and especially the spa/pool area—seemed to lack the same level of attentive service. I noticed towels, robes, and shoes on the floor, wet towels left unattended, and lounge chairs unoccupied with no staff around to maintain the space. The mineral pool was less tingly and bubbly than I remembered, though the view and the massage itself more than made up for it. Overall, the Hotel/Spa experience could benefit from a bit more attention to detail. When spending close to $1,000 for two people, the goal should be a truly seamless and exceptional experience, not was not our case.

We spent several nights, and we were treated so well by everyone we encountered. Our room had exceptional views, and plenty of room for us. The meals and the spa were so above expectations but the teams of staff from concierges to housekeeping to bell staff to servers really made our stay feel like a VIP luxury break! Thanks to all the teams we met. See you again.

Our stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of — the service is exceptional, warm, and genuinely attentive in every detail. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel special, and the entire atmosphere exudes peace and relaxation. The setting is breathtaking — nestled in the mountains, with views that feel straight out of a postcard. The rooms are elegant and cozy, and every part of the hotel, from the spa to the dining, is world-class. The spa experience in particular was deeply rejuvenating and truly made us feel pampered. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect, and feel completely cared for, this is it. The Fairmont Banff Springs is pure magic — we can’t wait to come back!

The Fat Ox in Banff is a stunning and chic restaurant with a fantastic ambiance. The interior boasts beautiful lighting, stylish furniture, and just the right volume of music. The service is top-notch, with servers like Jayce and Pete providing excellent recommendations and engaging in playful banter. The owner, Vern, clearly pours his heart and soul into the establishment.
We (table of 4) ordered 3 Sunday Supper, a slow braised pork & scallops and a shrimp fezzoletti and they were INCREDIBLE! The garlic bread was the BEST I have ever tasted: It has the perfect texture with the precise amount of garlic butter (& real garlic on top as well). Their squash was also really good despite not being the star of the dish! The pumpkin seeds in the slow braised pork added a layer of texture to the dish which I liked. The short rib and the sausage were amazing in the gravy with just the right amount of spice! 10/10

It was lovely here! We had dinner after a hard hike, and it was before supper rush so it wasn't too busy. The service was wonderful and the food amazing! We got Elk Meatballs for starter, Wild Boar Chop and Artic Char for main, and since it was my birthday, one dessert was on the house! My husband had an affogato and I had the white chocolate espresso pudding? (Can't remember the real name). Would come again!

Good I order was spaghetti pomadoro and fuchsia bread and burrata sandwich . Me and my mom r both vegetarians and food was absolutely amazing taste fresh and delicious . Wish they had more options then the regular menu for vegetarian but regardless the service was quick out server was very quick and easy to communicate to . Ambiance is very chill and comfy.

We ordered from their happy hour menu. The portions were a bit small, but the prices were reasonable. The shrimp scampi was delicious, and the elk meatballs were beyond my expectations! I honestly thought I wouldn’t like them, but they turned out so good, definitely a 10/10 for both. After happy hour, we also tried the black linguine vongole pasta, which was really tasty, especially if you love clams and lamb. My husband had the Wild Boar Chop. It tasted a bit plain at first, but once we added the honey berry sauce, it was so much better. We'd rate both dishes a 9/10. I also tried their Berry Lemonade Spirit Free drink. It's super refreshing and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I’ve ever had. Also, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, which made our Banff dining experience even better. Highly recommended.

We popped in for dinner yesterday, a group of four. Can I just say how fabulous this place is. From the welcoming atmosphere to fantastic service and a delightful menu, there is very few things I can say I disliked. My daughter and I had ordered the special, a 3 course meal, and some cocktails. We started with a pear salad, then a pumpkin ravioli and ended with vanilla crème brûlée. I do believe that the starter and the main could have used a bit more tang - the salad dressing of olive oil and vinaigrette ratio was a wee bit off and the sauce of the ravioli would have done well with a splash of balsamic. Their crème brûlée on the other hand, why I don’t know if I’ve ever had one so delightful. The topping of cranberry compote and roasted hazelnuts sold us on the first bite. My daughter can’t stop talking about it! Over all the experience was lovely. Next time I find myself in Banff this’ll be on the list of places to go!

Our first meal in Banff was at The Fat Ox, and it was a great start to our vacation -- the Sunday ravioli special with fried sage and pumpkin seeds and butternut squash was luscious, comforting, and tasty, and my mom loved her lamb fazzoletti. But it was the shrimp scampi that really floored us. It was so delicious, my mom wouldn't shut up about it. The sauce was spicy and garlicky, and the slab of fried focaccia underneath absorbed it all so it was oozy but still crisp -- I just wish they gave us more focaccia to "fare la scarpetta" with it. We came back for happy hour before we left Banff just so we could eat it one last time -- a yummy start and end to our trip~

We stopped by Fat Ox while visiting Banff and decided to try the Carbonara and Bison Tagliatelle. Service was solid—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The Carbonara didn’t quite land for us. The eggs came out more like scrambled eggs than a smooth sauce, which made it feel overcooked and a bit off from what we expected. The Bison Tagliatelle, though, was a win—great texture, rich flavor, and nicely balanced. Overall, it’s a stylish spot with good service. Just wish the Carbonara had been executed with a bit more finesse.

Absolutely delicious Italian dishes enjoyed by my husband and I who were looking to take a break from our campground meals while vacationing near Banff. Liam was our server who was not only personable and a delight to talk to but took good care in his service. Liam, you're a gem! The dishes we ordered were perfection and not oversalted like most restaurants tend to do. The portion size was just right as well. The atmosphere was loud for me, with dance music and loud people, but I just like things more low key, and everyone was just having a great time, I wouldn't discourage anyone from going because the food and service was well worth it. When on vacation, too many times we've been disappointed with a bad meal but not The Fat Ox! Delicious!!

The Iron Goat Pub & Grill is a lodge-like, tri-level bar and grill offering Canadian cuisine and a patio with stunning mountain views. The restaurant's menu showcases the flavors of the region, featuring dishes like Alberta game meatloaf made with bison, elk, and lamb, as well as a unique waffle cone appetizer. The venue boasts a grand interior with high ceilings and a stone fireplace reminiscent of a luxurious ski chalet.
Just wanted to start this off with a MASSIVE and warm THANK YOU TO Jess and everyone at the Iron Goat! You all worked so hard to make our Wedding Welcome Dinner so so extraordinary! From helping us choose the menu in May, to executing our amazing family style dinner in August! My husband and I truly felt SO SPOILED, taken care of, and a true family feel experience! We knew our special day was in the best of hands! Each one of our guests LOVED the views, the food, and all the drinks! Not to mention my husbands favorite the Saskatoon crumble in the cutest little mini cast iron with LA MODE! We rented the upper patio and it could not have been more magical for us! We had some wild Canadian Rockies weather, but the staff, Jess and everyone came to the rescue to help with our decor emergency!! Thank you for everything Iron Goat! 🐐 Our favorites also include the Strawberry Smash, Bruschetta, Duck Wings, Striploin, Salmon, and Butternut Squash Ravioli!! A must stop for dinner if you are in the Canmore area, and an AMAZING choice for brides for any event for you wedding week!!!

We ordered the Wild Game Burger, Butternut Squash Ravioli, and Bison Sirloin. The burger was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The ravioli was rich and satisfying. The sirloin, however, was over-seasoned, which masked the natural flavor and was disappointing given the price. We were seated quickly without a reservation, and the menu offers a great variety. The patio seating also looked like a nice option if weather permits.

What a pleasant surprise. I just visited this place today for lunch. They had designated accessible parking, which was great. A lift to use the bathrooms which are located in the basement. The establishment is clean, and has amazing views of the mountains (including the three sisters mountain range) The food was great, and the service was spot on. Staff frequently checked in to ensure we were doing well. Jess a staff member invited us to sit around the fire, enjoy s’mores and hot chocolate… what a surprise highlight to my day. Thanks everyone for the amazing hospitality. I highly recommend you check out this place for a great views, food and service.

We stopped here after a long day of travelling and we weren't disappointed. The decor and outdoor seating areas are beautiful. Great views of the mountains. The food was really good. We had the Squash ravioli, ribs and burgers. Everything was delicious. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. A bit pricey.

We were a party of 3, my niece had invited us for my birthday in October. Amazing service by our wonderful server from Chilli. Everything was very delicious! We had the maple salmon with mash and greens. Never thought onions could taste so yummy. The wild game burger and the fish and chips, needless to say, were wonderful!. To add, the ambience was fantastic: rustic, warm and the geautiful restaurant nestled in the mountains. I also got a multi berry crumble. Best birthday lunch ever! Thank you Iron Hoat and thank you my beautiful niece:)

Outstanding views and the food was tasty! We were very happy. Took us a while to get served, but once they took our order- it was smooth sailing. We ordered the bison carpaccio (really really hard bread but everything else was delish), elk burger, and the Thai salad. I ordered some strawberry cocktail that was delicious and my boyfriend got some coconut beer that was super unique and he loved it. Great spot to enjoy the views and have a very satisfying meal!

Nestled in Alberta's Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fairmont Château Lake Louise is a luxurious mountain resort offering a range of activities and amenities. Originally established over 100 years ago as a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, the hotel now provides guided mountain tours, skiing in winter, hiking and canoeing in summer, kids camp, spa services, and exceptional dining options.
A wonderful stay in the Hotel. The staff were very responsive in sorting out a booking issue for us before our arrival. We pulled into the driveway and our bags were taken for us and minded as we wandered the grounds and along the Lake. The staff here are super polite, friendly and efficient. Check in was a breeze. The renovations had been completed since our last stay and our room was in the new wing with a lovely lake and mountain view. The new spa has also been finished but we didn't have time to indulge. We had dinner in the Fairview restaurant and again the service was very good and the dishes excellent. We took the Hotel's Lake Moraine shuttle on our second morning and despite the chilling wind it was a wonder to experience. We highly recommend this method of visiting the Lake when planning your stay. Lake Louise and the area are wonders to see but it's the hotel and its staff that really make the stay an effortless first class experience. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay an incredible memory. We'll be back!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the Fairmont experience is nothing short of majestic. Every detail—from the warm greeting at the door to the impeccable attention throughout my stay—made me feel like I was not just a guest, but royalty. The atmosphere blends historic elegance with modern sophistication. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, offering comfort, style, and breathtaking views that make it hard to leave. Every corner of the hotel speaks to quality and timeless charm. What truly sets the Fairmont apart is its service. The staff operate at a level of professionalism and grace that is rarely seen. They anticipated needs I didn’t even know I had, and every request was met with genuine care and a smile. It’s hospitality at its finest. Dining was an experience in itself—every meal crafted like a work of art, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Whether it was breakfast, afternoon tea, or dinner, it felt like a celebration of taste and refinement. From the serene spa to the elegant common spaces, every moment at the Fairmont offered peace, luxury, and a sense of grandeur that is truly worthy of kings and queens. If you’re looking for more than just a stay—but an experience that elevates the senses and renews the spirit—the Fairmont is unrivalled.

It was a relaxing stay. We appreciated the activities planned throughout the day for our daughter including kids check-in, pumpkin decorating, and smores-making. Great location as it was right next to Lake Louise, however, further from town than we anticipated. Parking is not validated for dining at the hotel. We truly appreciate the efforts of the housekeeping team in making our stay comfortable. Bell staff was very helpful and efficient. Overall, wonderful experience from start to finish.

Banff is an incredibly beautiful place, and the Fairmont Hotel, located right in front of Lake Louise, makes the experience truly special. The view is absolutely spectacular. We stayed in a lake-view room, which was excellent and very different from the standard rooms that don’t face the lake. Honestly, if your room doesn’t have a lake view, it may not be worth paying the premium for this hotel. When we first checked in, the receptionist wasn’t very helpful and gave us a corner room with a limited view. I went back to the front desk and explained that it was my wife’s birthday, and asked if they can provide me with a room with better view as we came all the way from another part of the world as well. Another staff member, Maain, kindly and patiently took the time to check all available rooms. He managed to find us one with a stunning view and even surprised us with two glasses of champagne and some chocolates. We don’t drink, but we truly appreciated his thoughtfulness and warm hospitality.

This was a dream destination for our 40th wedding anniversary. The staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful. The lake view from our hotel room was just awesome. Everyone we met at Fairmont Chateau from checking in to the hotel at the concierge desk to the restaurant where we celebrated our anniversary made us feel so special. We stayed at the Gold level in the hotel. They couldn’t have been more accommodating! Remembering and wishing us a happy anniversary with chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of wine! We felt very special and cared about. The service was impeccable from the concierge, housekeeping , spa, restaurant and daily breakfasts and cocktail hour at the lounge. Simply amazing! Thank you for all you did to make our anniversary a memorable celebration.

From the elegant rooms to the thoughtful amenities and dining experiences, everything reflected world-class hospitality. Whether enjoying the sunrise alone lakeshore trail or relaxing in the Basin Glacier Water every moment felt elevated and memorable. A perfect combination of natural beauty and five-star service — this is a place that captures your heart and makes you want to return again and again.

Amazing view from the 8th floor lake view king room. We were so grateful to have been upgraded to this floor upon check in. Prior to check in I requested a higher floor room and we were thrilled and surprised they gave us the top floor with a view right down the middle of the lake! The check in process was very smooth and informative and they let us check in a couple hours early as well which was fantastic. It was such a dream to wake up and go to sleep overlooking the lake. The rooms are quite small though but very nice. Loved the Nespresso machine in the room. Amazing front desk help and concierge help. I loved the text option for contacting concierge with questions. Took the free mixology class taught by Brock which was SO much fun and we highly recommend signing up for that if you are visiting. Roasted complimentary s'mores at night on the fire and also utilized the hotel pricing for canoes. Yes the hotel is a splurge but such a stress free and luxurious way to visit Lake Louise. We also completed the Big Beehive hike the day of checkout and it was of course fantastic. We dined at Alpine Social for dinner and it was tasty and also the biggest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had haha.

Nestled in the picturesque town of Canmore, Alberta, The Wood Restaurant & Lounge is a delightful retreat that combines rustic charm with culinary excellence. This inviting log cabin features a stunning patio that offers breathtaking mountain views, making it an ideal spot for both locals and visitors to unwind. The menu showcases a variety of mouthwatering dishes, including the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich and the signature Wood Burger—a delectable bison burger topped with maple bacon jam and crispy onions.
Tried the salmon burger for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! Loved that they had yam fries – seriously the best. The patio is dog-friendly, which is a big plus, but our table didn’t have much shade so it got pretty hot. Still, great food and good vibes overall!

The patio is incredible, especially during sunset! The ambiance is very calm, less noisy than expected, and the service was super friendly, prompt, and kind. The food was pretty good too but the Alberta Beef Cheeseburger stood out far from the rest of the items we ordered. Must visit when you’re in Canmore!

Really enjoyed our meal here. We had the Wood Burger, Steak Frites, and Apple Crumble. All prepared well and surprisingly quickly. Service was swift and courteous. A touch disappointed as we had an 8p.m. reservation, requested a booth upon arrival, were told none were available, but 4 opened up directly behind us 5 minutes after we were seated. Those 4 booths didn’t repopulate at that hour but do to speed of service, we already had drinks on the go we didn’t want to ask to transport to another table. I would’ve appreciated the forethought of the hosting staff to offer us a booth if we didn’t mind waiting a few minutes. We would’ve gladly waited. All around nice restaurant to grab a bite at and I’m sure at an earlier hour, especially if you can get patio seating, the views would be incredible.

The Wood Restaurant and Lounge was super chill on a Monday night. Since it was Thanksgiving, we enjoyed some pumpkin brews that were really tasty. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it made for a great evening. Would definitely return. We did not get any food, but it all looked delicious.

This was an absolutely perfect time we spent for dinner. Perfect choice, especially on a busy Saturday evening when all lot of other restaurants were packed or only accepted by reservations (on top of that it was a rodeo happening somewhere), the Wood were accepting walk-ins and had a lot of space. We even got to sit outside near a fireplace. The food was delicious, service - top. Thank you again and will come back for sure!
Khrystyna B — Google review
We made a reservation for this restaurant at 4 pm so it was nice to best the dinner rush. There's lots of parking in the lot behind restaurant, but you do need to pay for it. We were in a handicap stall which didn't require payment so that was a nice bonus. There is also lots of street parking. My only complaint is that it's not handicap accessible. My husband has physical limitations - there were steps leading up to the patio and entrance (no ramp), and the bathrooms were also a floor below so that was more stairs to do that we were not anticipating. Because of that we probably wouldn't go back but otherwise the restaurant was in a great location with great service and food. Also has a stunning view out on the patio.

Nestled within the HI Lake Louise hostel, Bill Peyto's Cafe is a charming haven for adventurers seeking comfort food after exploring the stunning wilderness. Named in honor of a legendary local guide, this cozy spot embodies mountain culture with its rustic decor and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're gearing up for a day on the slopes or winding down after hiking, you'll find hearty meals that hit the spot.
Perfect dinner after a full day exploring Moraine Lake & Lake Louise We enjoyed a relaxed and satisfying dinner at Bill Peyto’s Café after a day visiting the two stunning lakes. The atmosphere was warm and rustic, a perfect fit for unwinding after time in the mountains. We ordered a variety of dishes: the cheeseburger with Broccoli‑Cheese Soup of the Day, Penne Marinara, the Crispy Chicken Parmesan Burger, and the Jalapeño Burger. They offer an optional upgrade to an Alberta bison patty for an extra $3, though we stuck with the regular patties. One highlight was that water was served freely - and it tasted fresh, not chlorinated. That really impressed us! The portion sizes were generous relative to the price, and overall we felt the quality and quantity offered excellent value - great price‑performance for the Lake Louise area. Service was friendly and efficient - they handled everything with a smile. We appreciated the cozy mountain‑style decor and the casual, welcoming vibe; clearly a local favorite among hikers and visitors alike. All in all, a terrific dinner spot after a long day outdoors. Friendly staff, hearty meals, and fair pricing - highly recommended!

Solid stop for a bite in the mountains! Dropped by Bill Peyto’s Cafe after a day of exploring and ordered the burger — nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. Juicy, satisfying, and just what I needed after some fresh mountain air. The vibe is laid-back and cozy, perfect for travelers or campers passing through. Nestled in the heart of Banff, Pacini Banff is a charming Italian restaurant that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With its inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, this eatery serves up a delectable array of dishes including mouthwatering pastas, authentic pizzas, and succulent grilled meats. One standout feature is their unique all-you-can-eat grilled bread bar, which pairs perfectly with their extensive wine selection.
Pacini Banff is a nice spot with a fun atmosphere, especially the unique bread bar, which was a hit. I had the spaghetti—it was okay—but the kids really enjoyed their meals. The lasagna was hot and tasty, and the pizza looked great. It’s a good place to try once if you’re in Banff, though I probably wouldn’t return for a second visit. After roaming the area in search of a gluten-free late dinner, we googled and found this restaurant suggestion. We started with a ceasar salad (9.5/10, the capers were a perfect, salty touch) and a pomodoro fromagio gluten-free pizza. The mozzarella is gooey and thick, the tomato sauce really balanced tangy and sweet with basil, the crust offered a chewy dough and crispy edge. 9/10

I didn’t study the reviews and ended up eating here one night. We walked by the Moose Hotel and thought the ambiance looked great. We called and were told it was booked till 7:30pm but we decided to come here anyway. The waitress D was friendly when we sat down. When we asked for recommendations and she suggested all the most expensive dishes. We went with her recommendations anyway. After that she disappeared. The water glasses were not filled, and used dishes were not cleared until we asked for the check. The bread bar for us excited initially but I noticed the grill was charred. We asked if they could clean it. Then you see the host ran around the grill with two towels and try to do something to it. That was the end my experience with the bread bar. The foods came and they were not impressive at all. Lasagna was watery. The seafood pasta was painful to look at, not to mention eat it. The veal was semi-OK.. That was the worse Italian food experience I had I would have to say.

Delicious food! Great menu and wonderful kids’ meal options. I would avoid ordering a cocktail at all costs. It tastes and looks as if no one knows what they’re doing. The bar is wide open… you can see them literally throwing in ingredients and hoping for the best. We even witnessed them tasting the drinks (properly - with a straw) and they were not pleased. They still served it. I asked what was in my cocktail because it sure wasn’t what I ordered. They had to go look. It was horrific. Other than the cocktails… it’s a lovely meal.

Chez Francois Restaurant and patio is a long-standing establishment that offers French-inspired breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a cozy setting. The restaurant specializes in brunch with a French twist, featuring sweet and savory crepes, omelettes, liver and onions, poutines, duck liver pate, and cretons served with fresh croissants. Situated in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, this eatery combines European cuisine with local ingredients and classic French cooking techniques.
The service was excellent! Our server Louise was incredibly attentive and kind, making us feel very welcome. The views of the mountains are absolutely spectacular, the perfect backdrop to enjoy a meal. On top of that, the food was not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

We stopped by here for breakfast today and really enjoyed it! I had the Quebec Combo, my wife went with the Montreal Smoked Meat Poutine, and our cousin had the Duck Confit Poutine. They both loved their meals, and while my breakfast looked simple at first, the flavors definitely surprised me—in the best way. Everything tasted so good! The atmosphere was nice and comfortable too, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d recommend, and I’d happily come back again.

Service and food both wonderful! I love that they have a crepe/eggs bendict combo! I had the apple, brie and ham crepes with one ham, asparagus and Swiss cheese eggs Benedict. So delicious! It came with crispy fried, thinly sliced potatoes and a variety of fresh fruit. My husband also enjoyed his strawberry/Nutella crepes and his traditional Benedict. Trés bien! Food came fast and service was good and friendly. Beautiful mountain views from our table by the window.

We had our first breakfast in Canmore here and could not have started our day better. It was a Saturday morning before heading to town and we were all extremely delighted with the food, atmosphere and service. The Benny combos were fantastic (I recommend the duck confit Benny with caramelized onions on incredibly airy and crispy English muffins paired with the Brie, apple and ham crepes). Some of my travel partners gobbled up their food before I could get pics but all raved about the country potatoes. We all agreed that we will be back here any time we are in the area. My mouth was watering writing this😎

One of our favourite local places in Canmore for breakfast. Always greeted by a friendly host, the waiter was full of energy, polite, service is quick, coffee is always full and food is consistently perfect. The eggs Benedict is the star of the menu all other choices are a close runner up.

It is my favorite breakfast restaurant for years, actually 30 years. I am always taking the traditional breakfast but decide to go with the Tango Mango Salad with Salmon for a change....and it didn't disappoint me, it was delicious plus healthy way! Great service too and good company!

We absolutely love this restaurant! Every time we come to Canmore from Edmonton for a getaway, we make sure to stop by. The breakfasts and brunches are always amazing. It’s usually busy and a bit noisy, but that just adds to the lively atmosphere and shows how popular the place is. Parking is easy, and the staff are very friendly with kids — there’s even a children’s menu. I’d describe it as a cozy, family-friendly café perfect for breakfast and brunch. Such a lovely spot — I’m really glad we discovered it, and it’s now a must on our trips to the Rockies!

Sage Bistro is a charming, family-owned restaurant housed in a rustic log cabin, offering refined seasonal meals and an impressive selection of wines. Their weekend brunch menu features delightful classics like banana bread French toast and fresh crab eggs benedict, as well as the hearty Train Wreck platter for those with a big appetite. The bistro provides various dining experiences, including the cozy downstairs area, a tapas bar upstairs, and an inviting garden patio.
We had our wedding reception/dinner at Sage Bistro this past September and the restaurant & team were incredible! We rented out the top part of the restaurant and had the most amazing servers and bartenders. The space is also beautiful with lots of room indoors and a balcony. Our guests all loved the food, drinks and the ability to even move tables aside and have a dance floor. I’d highly recommend having your reception here. Thanks Todd for helping us coordinate our special day!

Very nice place and Ellie was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately whoever owns the place had her as the absolute sole waitstaff for a restaurant with around 8 tables full of customers. Very poor way to run a restaurant, much less an upscale one. Took the better share of 2 hours to get our order in and have food served. Ellie worked very hard to keep the place going and was great at maintaining an upbeat and positive attitude. Food itself was decent. We felt well fed. Owner: Get your act together please.

This place is such a hidden gem, and the best spot to avoid all the crowds and lines in downtown. The food is incredible. Thoughtfully curated and locally focused with incredible presentation and remarkable service. The Yorkshire pudding was to DIE for, as well as the seasonal squash soup. This will be my new go-to when stopping in Canmore. Also the afternoon happy hour has 25% everything from 2-5pm which is such a great deal too. Don’t miss this great spot!

Absolutely need to try out!! Had unique teas served in french press infusers, followed with some of the best risotto I’ve tried. The burger was so juicy and had a high quality gluten-free bun, and cane with the best fingerling potatoes I’ve had. Finished with a decadent flourless chocolate pavé with many different flavor and texture combinations for many different experiences. And all was 25% off for haply hour 2-5pm!!

This was our third time visiting Sage Bistro. Food was impeccable as always. Our waitress seemed to be a bit stressed about business but she did her best. We will continue to visit this restaurant when we visit. The beet root salad is one of my favorites. My husband loves the lamb. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The Creme Bruele is to die for.

In addition to their signature coffee, they offer specialty beverages like lattes, cappuccinos, and real fruit Quenchers. The menu also includes light fare, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and the popular Tim Bits. With a beautiful location in Banff offering scenic mountain views, it's a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists.
I recently visited Tim Hortons Banff and wanted to share my experience. Overall, I was impressed with the quality and consistency of the food and beverages. The service was efficient, and the staff specially Resy and Theresa were courteous and attentive. I appreciated the clean and welcoming atmosphere of the location, which made my visit even more enjoyable.

tried the chicken bowl at Tim Hortons today, but I was a bit disappointed. The rice didn’t taste fresh and wasn’t cooked very well — kind of dry and not flavorful. The chicken was okay, but overall, the meal didn’t meet my expectations. I usually enjoy Tim Hortons, but this dish could definitely be improved. Totally disappointed
Jagmeet S — Google review
We visited the Tim Hortons in Banff last night and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We ordered a meal worth around $60–$70, including three chicken bowls, one veggie bowl, garlic bread, and Timbits & coffees etc. The rice in all the bowls was extremely hard and seemed like it was scraped from the bottom , making it very difficult to eat. The Timbits were overly soaked in syrup and far too sweet, and the garlic bread had a bitter or sour taste, almost like it was old or not fresh. Overall, we were quite unhappy with the food quality and taste. We really hope the management looks into improving food preparation and freshness, especially given Banff’s reputation as a tourist spot.
Harsimran K — Google review
Great stop in Banff! Friendly staff greeted us right away, and the coffee was hot and satisfying. The pastries looked fresh and the breakfast wrap hit the spot. Clean seating, efficient service, and a convenient location for a quick bite before exploring the mountains. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed with my experience today. I went in person to place my order, but received the wrong one. They added maple even though we didn’t ask for it. I went back to get it replaced, and the second time, they forgot the hash browns — which were included the first time. The third attempt, they handed over the sandwich without grilling it. I don’t understand how it was so difficult to get the order right, especially since I ordered the exact same thing yesterday and the day before at the Canmore Tim Hortons, and it was made perfectly both times. This location really needs to pay more attention to customer orders and consistency.
Manjot K — Google review
They were super busy this morning but well staffed and served the orders quickly without any mistake on my order. I like that they served my food on a ceramic plate since I wanted to dine in the restaurant. Always has been a good Tim Hortons location to visit 🙂

Nestled in the heart of Lake Louise, the Lake Louise Inn offers a relaxed and economical stay with convenient amenities. The hotel features two restaurants, an indoor pool, and complimentary WiFi. It's a great choice for families as it is kid-friendly and even welcomes dogs in designated rooms for an additional fee. Its proximity to the train makes it easily accessible, and its straightforward rooms provide comfort at a decent price point.
This is a fantastic hotel. It was very easy to get to and so close to public travel to get to the mountains. They had shuttles on site and the bus literally across the road. We stayed here for our honeymoon and they treated us incredibly. We had an upgraded room, which was beautiful. The room was clean and beyond luxurious! The restaurant onsite was amazing to us. They compensated our deserts for our wedding night. The food was incredible. The staff on site was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I plan to stay here again and to tell my family and friends. It truly was an amazing experience and I am so grateful

conveniently located in Lke Louise village, just off the Trans Canada. IIt is a reasonable option as compared for example to the Lake Louise Fairmont, in term of price, availability, and access. However, on check in they did not explain how transporationn up to Lake Louise and Moraine worked - and did not mention they have their own shuttle bus to both locations (not free but competitively priced). Bus shuttles are the final frontier at Lake Louise, which we had not researched enough prior to arrival. The are public shuttles at nominal cost, but they are booked way in advance, and the few spots they release each day online for the next day are gone in a flash. Then there are private bus services which charge about $50 to one of the lakes, or $90 for a shutlle to both lakes. We should have asked the front desk about the shuttles, but left to our own devices hired a private company for day 1, before discovering the hotel shuttle in time to use on day 2. Staff could have saved us a lot of angst by mentioning this service on check-in. The hotel has a “ski chalet” vibe, with a couple of restaurants. One serves breakfast. The buffet is very basic, but costs less than an a la carte breakfast when you add in the cost of coffee and juice. One nice thing was a station where you could make your own waffles. See separate review of the other restaurant. The hotel has plenty of free parking which is in scarce supply in Lake Louise.

The one bedroom newly-renovated condo I was in was very nice. First floor, had a nice patio, and daily housekeeping was included. It was very clean, cleaner than most hotels I've stayed in. The resort has many amenities I didn't have time to use, but you still have to pay an amenities fee. At the prices they charge for the room, it should be included.

Great location and a beautiful part of the world. Hotel is situated on fantastic grounds and the main hotel and reception is fantastic. My room was a little dates and had no air con and the TV was far too small. The rooms were clean but showing signs of wear and tear that really should be addressed given the price point of the accommodation.
Robert M — Google review
Our family stayed in a 1 bedroom condo last week and were very happy with our stay. There is a queen sized bedroom and a queen sized Murphy bed in the living room. The bedroom was comfortable although there can be noise from the parking lot as it’s on the first floor so you can hear cars starting and people moving their bags to check out. The bathroom was nice and updated. The kitchen was nice and has a dishwasher — we just used the fridge and microwave. The Murphy bed was a foam mattress that was comfortable and fairly easy to take up/down. There’s a door to an outside area facing some trees with 2 plastic chairs for the unit. The location is very nice. You can see the mountains from the property. There are picnic tables in several locations which we used on 2 nights to eat our pizza from the restaurant on site. Our kids loved the mini golf (it was cute and a nice way to pass a little time at the end of the day). They also loved the pool which was warm and great for a swim before bed. We also used the complementary bikes on the morning we checked out. They had 20 inch, 24 inch and small and regular adult bikes and helmets. We went on the Bow River trail right around the corner from the hotel and had a lot of fun (takes about an hour to go down and back). Bikes are first come, first served. Unfortunately the power went out at 2 am in all of Lake Louise while we were there and didn’t come back on until 3-4 pm. We managed in the morning getting ready and went out for the day. The hotel offered complimentary continental breakfast because of the outage. (Of note there was also a power outage earlier in July in Lake Louise I read about when I was looking at the news). Overall we had a nice stay. The renovated rooms were nice and we enjoyed the ground/amenities. The staff was very nice also. There’s laundry in each building ($8 to wash/dry) that was convenient. For sandwiches for the trails I recommend the Trailhead Cafe around the corner (they also had breakfast sandwiches/items but we didn’t try).
Christine F — Google review
There are a lot of resort fees that makes it expensive. The room we had on the ground floor and next to the laundry room was extremely noisy. Could not sleep due to traffic noise such as the staff pulling the laundry cart early in the morning. The ear plugs they provided didn’t help. No central air conditioning system. Has to use space heater and fans . That being said - the location was great and the grounds are beautiful. The staff friendly and polite.
Violet K — Google review
Reception staff were so lovely and friendly. The hotel seemed to be in a fantastic position to attend the lakes. The room, however, was horrendous. Extremely small and claustrophobic. The room was also extremely dated. We were given a room overlooking the pool. No air-conditioning and no windows to open. A very poxy and loud fan that stopped us getting to sleep. The bathroom was so small you had to wriggle around the door to get to the toilet. The restaurant was friendly and very helpful. Good quality food. Breakfast was very nice. Not good value for the money, especially when you take into consideration you have to pay extra for breakfast.
Helen J — Google review
We booked a junior for a one-day trip at Lake Louise! Staff was super friendly and helpful! I prepared a proposal during my stay and the staff went out of their way to make the surprise perfect. They had upgraded our room, set up the petals and candles but also welcomed us for drinks at their patio. The rooms had a nice view to the mountains, and was clean! June Park and Alex from reception really outdid themselves. 100% recommend!

I loved this shop. Plenty of seats in a very cozy lounge setting. Good breakfast options. Also a great place to pick up some last minute souvenirs like maple syrup and chocolates. Would have given 5 stars for all categories if the wait time was shorter. But overall we are glad that we decided to come for a bite before driving back to Edmonton.

$19 (including tip that starts at 18%) for mediocre avocado toast. Will not return. Nice setting but not worth it in my opinion

I ordered a lavender honey latte and was patiently waiting at one of the window seats. I noticed one of the baristas make a hot drink and set it at the drink stand. She took the drink ticket and placed it on the metal stick where the finished drink tickets go. She then continued to talk to her coworker. No name was called out and I waited a few minutes until I had to go up myself and look at the drink ticket pile to see if it was my drink. I found this odd because prior drinks the barista would call out the persons name.. other than that the lavender honey latte was good

Ordered 2 Cappuccinos, apple juice and a lemonade! This was on our way to parking, where we had few minutes left on our ticket…also, bought playing card… Then waited…about 5 personnel were working and engaged…but no news of my order! I went and bought two tea boxes also…so paying like 100$ and yet, order not ready! They asked me, are you waiting for something!!?! I said yes!!! So, at least one person jumped on it while the other was in denial mode! Shouting Gregory! Gregory! one of the personnel looked at me, “are you Gregory?” I was like, “if I was, I would have picked up my order! I am clearly not”! From that, I noticed the crew lacks experience… Anyways finally the lady who jumped on the issue, checked with Cashier, noticed nothing was communicated in the system, prepared the order and gave to me! And we got late for our parking exit!

Honestly, you cannot beat the view from this restaurant! From the chairlift up, the friendly staff, the delicious food, the overall ambiance and history of the place I can’t recommend it enough. The restaurant was built in the 1940’s and they have kept to its original look as a tea house, their cocktails are so unique! Overall I highly recommend!

Our group tried the cliff house bistro for the first time and we were not impressed with the food. The menu choices were limited and food tasted mediocre. On a positive note, the portions were humongous, so we were very full. The view was great though so I’d recommend this place if you want to enjoy the magnificent view of the Rockies with your lunch / dinner.

You absolutely cannot beat the view here. It is ridiculously nice to sit and stare at the mountains. The drinks were good and the appetizer we got was fantastic, albeit overall it was a little pricey but you're paying for that view too. Our server was great and recommended some good food in town as well. I think this place is a must try despite the older building and upfront cost of having to pay for the chairlift- which is worth it for the view alone up there.

❗️ Remember to ask for discounts if you are living at the hotel adjacent to the restaurant. Hotel staff will not actively inform you of this promotion ❗️ The breakfast was so good that we came back a few more times! The grilled potatoes side is a must, it’s adequately seasoned and grilled until the skin is crispy. For eggs benedict, pulled pork is highly recommended. Beef brisket is also nice by itself but the flavor doesn’t seem to bend well with the eggs and muffin. ***** Updated after a dinner session… everything was really salty and miles away from the quality experienced at breakfast

We stopped by Bankhead Restaurant & Lounge on a quiet Saturday evening to celebrate a recent wedding with our families. The place was nearly empty, which gave us plenty of space to settle in. Initially, we were split across two tables, but after a quick chat with the manager, he kindly rearranged things to seat us together—much appreciated! There was a slightly odd moment when he asked about our ethnicity, but he warmed up quickly, and the service was fantastic from then on. The food was delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor. It turned into a truly memorable night for all of us.

Great selection of bikes this late in the season. The only store around we could find a small frame ebike for my wife. Patient sales guys and went above and beyond to set up her new bike to fit her well. Added accessories we purchased onto the bike and had us out the door in under 30 minutes ready to ride. Highly recommend this shop, the amount of customers coming into this location and making purchases says a lot about the level of customer service and products sold here. Thanks again fellows.

The staff are both knowledgeable and friendly, making them perfect for a general chat over coffee when it's slow or providing information you need quickly when the town is pressed with traffic. They've got a solid selection of bike goods as well as a hidden workshop where grease monkeys get their game on with your bike. The plant aspect of the shop is such that you'll either want to leave with something or you find yourself at home with yet another specimen for your growing connection. It's the little details that really give the Bicycle Cafe its soul though. A spot to sit and enjoy a drink. The wooden bike sculpture. Audio/Visual tidbits that serve no actual function but to trigger nostalgia. Bikes that hang or sit out of reach, but your mind still rides them. If you've never been, go. If you have, then you know.

Went to change the pedals on my grandma's bike (installed by cafe) and couldn't without a pry bar. They didn't use grease or washers and the pedals are basically seized on. Also, they cut the der cable so short, way to hard to adjust anything like that

Always got what I need. Super friendly staff who are very knowledgeable! Not to bash the other bike shops in town but this is my go to shop! Plus get a fancy coffee when you visit, the quality is A+ or maybe a green plant will tickle your fancy. Thanks for keeping our wheels spinning! Ride on Big Bird

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Bicycle Café in Canmore, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience, thanks to their incredibly friendly staff. They were not only attentive but also genuinely knowledgeable and more than happy to offer recommendations based on my preferences. It's evident that they take pride in what they do and genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction.

Nestled towards the southern end of Banff Avenue, Peak Cafe is a delightful spot for anyone craving a quick and affordable breakfast. This charming café offers an impressive menu featuring crepes, waffles, and an array of beverages like bubble tea and iced Vietnamese coffee that are simply irresistible. With ample indoor seating, it's perfect for cozy mornings; however, on sunny days, consider grabbing your meal to-go and enjoying it by the river in one of Banff's picturesque parks.
Satay chicken pho broth was soooo flavourful. Was a bit disappointed it did not come with actual satay but it’s truly one of the best and most unique pho’s I’ve had.

I have been eating from peak for the better part of two years, today i ordered my usual Bahn Mi and the meat portion was substantially smaller than usual and it was essentially just salad. I called to let them know as a regular, just curious if there had been a change and was met with a very abrasive and rude response telling me that this is just normal, very disappointing from my favourite quick lunch spot in Banff, wont be going back any time soon.

Disappointing Experience - Avoid if You Can This place operates on a "pay-first" system, which isn't inherently bad, but it seems to reflect their overall lack of customer service. Don't expect any help or guidance after you've paid. We specifically asked for no green onions (scallions) when ordering our pho. Despite our clear request, it arrived loaded with them. When we pointed this out, we were simply told to pick them out ourselves. It's frustrating to have a simple dietary request ignored and then be left to fix it. To top it all off, the pho itself was the worst I've ever tasted. There are far better options out there. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Portion size was huge. Food was average. Had the summer roll which was huge but not that tasty. I had the vegetable and tofu pho which was a little disappointing. Where was the basil? Tofu was fried and only vegetable (besides the ‘usual’ ) was broccoli. Broth didn’t taste very authentic either 😕

Had three grilled meats vermicelli bowls and they were all really good. Comes with a peanut sauce instead of the typical fish sauce which made them kinda unique.

I ordered the rice bowl with lemongrass chicken and it came with peanut sauce which is my fav!! Great value for money.

Peak Cafe in downtown Banff is a great low-budget option for Vietnamese food. My husband and I tried the rice bowl with beef, chicken, and shrimp, as well as the stir-fried rice meal with beef, chicken, and pork. Both dishes were delicious and fresh, with generous portions. The menu offers a variety of options, making it easy to find something for everyone. For anyone looking for a tasty and affordable meal in Banff, Peak Cafe is definitely worth a visit!

Ordered pho, wonton soup, and fried rice. Nothing outstanding but still got the job done. I definitely had better elsewhere but still glad I gave this place a try. Portions were reasonable for the prices. Fast wait time for our food and was able to sit outside to eat. If I return, I’ll definitely try other dishes because they have a big menu!

Recently discovered this establishment while visiting Canmore on a vacation and absolutely adore it! The ambiance is incredibly inviting, the staff members are exceptionally friendly and considerate, and the cuisine is delectable! Their unique hot chocolates are not only visually stunning but also incredibly flavorful; I highly recommend trying one if you have the opportunity. Furthermore, their menu boasts a diverse range of dishes that are both fresh and bursting with taste.
First time here on a family vacation with the kids. This place had great reviews and fantastic looking options that were different and unique for breakfast. We had a fruit ect platter that was just awesome! The drip coffee, smoothies were excellent. Then there was my wifes London fog was perfecto! Thanks and cant wait to come back here next time were in Canmore

Small but very delicious, friendly, clean, and a great view of 3 sisters. Had the apple and bacon waffles and what a treat! Service was fast and it was an affordable breakfast for 2. My picture doesn't do it justice.

Literally the best waffle I have ever had and I love sampling breakfast places. The illegal waffle was sweet and the crisply sugar coating on the Banana was to die for. Super reasonably priced too, especially for the area. Also, really cool hot chocolates.

Such a little gem I stumbled upon in Canmore. Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe was so delicious. They served it with a strawberry sauce that was both sweet and tart and the accompaniment of the ice cream was such a nice touch. Lemon Italuan Soda was super refreshing on a 23 degree day. Will definitely go back to try more items.

We went late night (1030pm); quick service, fresh food and kind staff. Located inside of a nice and clean gas station/co-op. The restaurant side is slightly small with not much seating area. However the food and service is good

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. The food I received was not fresh and seemed unhygienic, which is unacceptable. On top of that, the staff member who served me was extremely rude and had a very poor attitude. I expect better treatment and quality from any establishment, and unfortunately, this visit left a very negative impression. I hope management takes this seriously and improves both customer service and food standards.

Nestled in the heart of Canmore, Beamers Coffee Bar is a beloved local gem that draws visitors with its inviting atmosphere and delightful offerings. This cozy coffee shop features a rustic lodge-style interior, creating the perfect backdrop for enjoying freshly brewed specialty drinks alongside an enticing selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Whether you're looking to savor a quiet moment alone or gather with friends, Beamers strikes an ideal balance between vibrant energy and laid-back comfort.
We walked to Beamer's from Paradise Resort for a spot of lunch and the entire experience was great! The London fog had just the right amount of milk and it was at a very good temperature. The Caffe Caramel Mocha with Whipped cream was not too sweet and had a very nice chocolatey taste. We both had the sausage rolls, but the pastry was not as flakey as I thought it would be, but the actual sausage itself was quite flavourful. The ham and cheese croissant was good and the croissant was very fresh. The only complaint was that it was reheated in a microwave, I personally would have preferred it if it was reheated with a dry heat method like an air fryer or an oven, but my fiancee said it was fine for her. I had the tofu wrap, and I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting into, but it had a little bit of spice and was very delicious. Fantastic experience and environment. Very relaxing with a beautiful view of the mountains still.

Excellent place to grab breakfast, coffee, and sweets. The coffee isn't too bad. Bold taste for enthusiasts. Sweet caffeine for those who need coffee on the go. The salmon bagel was very delicious. And they were very generous with the salmon. It was more than enough for 2 people. There is a lot of seating inside and outside. You also have the option to add cream and sugar and other essentials to your coffee.

The coffee is located in the heart of Canmore village, it offers a magnificently delicious and fresh breakfast including sandwiches, cakes, granola and other choices. The choices for coffee are also multiple, the black coffee alone has more than one choice with different flavors and levels of strength. There is also a corner for the souvenirs and the logo of the place. The seats and tables are comfortable even inside or outside with good and relaxing music background The staff are lovely and helpful It was a great morning to start it from this spot

Solid coffee shop in Canmore, Alberta. Food was great. I had the egg breakfast wrap and it was very tasty. Latte I ordered was not the best I've had in Canmore, but absolutely adequate. Staff/baristas were warm and friendly.

First time at location, found a lot of selections. Friendly staff, knowledgeable. Fun atmosphere. Noticed phone charging stations on seating bar. Clean modern look/feel. Food was high quality, was surprised at clean taste, sandwiches were warmed. Did not warm the muffin, but we did not ask. A little expensive but that’s Canmore.

The HI Lake Louise Alpine Centre offers simple accommodations in a mountain hostel with free WiFi and bike storage. The center provides various options for spending nights in Lake Louise and the surrounding area, including a restaurant and two kitchens. We ended up at this hostel by chance – and what a wonderful surprise! 😊 Gabby had already been super kind and helpful in her emails before we arrived, and she even gave us an amazing yoga session while we were there. The class was fantastic and so relaxing. Gabby is such a warm, open, and friendly person – we even met her again later on a hike and were so happy to see her! We wish her all the best and hope she can stay in Canada for as long as she dreams. 🌞🧘‍♀️🇨🇦

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The rooms were very clean, and most of the staff were kind and helpful. The bathroom was also clean and comfortable to use. However, I had a very unpleasant experience in the hotel restaurant. One male server (with short or bald hair) was rude. His tone was harsh when taking orders, and he placed the plates down roughly. He also seemed to always have an angry expression when dealing with guests, which made me feel uncomfortable. All the other staff were friendly, but this one person’s attitude really affected my dining experience negatively. Because of this, I do not plan to return to the restaurant. Overall, the hotel was good, but this issue needs improvement.

Appalling experience. Rooms are noisy and badly maintained. Room was shaking due to a faulty generator. Raised concern with the hotel and was informed it was the train causing the noise. When it clearly wasn’t the train. Exceptionally poor. Would recommend avoiding this accommodation at all costs.

My stay at the hostel was excellent. The price was very affordable. Very clean, common areas had lots of windows, lovely. The kitchen was very spacious, very clean and updated. I stayed at HI Lake Louise for a week and had an amazing experience. I was staying in a 4-bed ladies dorm, with washroom inside the dorm.(it feels like a hotel with really good Price!)I want to give a special thank you to Kailey at the front desk (the tall white girl with dark blonde hair)— she was incredibly helpful throughout my stay and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. She even helped cook my meals, which I truly appreciated. The hostel itself is clean, cozy, and in a great location, but it’s the staff like Kailey who really make the stay special. Highly recommend!
Bev C — Google review
Paid $100 for 1 night stay. The location is convenient and the beds are comfy, however if you don’t have earplugs be prepared to have the worst sleep of your life (because you won’t sleep). I know better than to not bring earplugs when staying in a hostel, but I unfortunately forgot. Someone rolled into our 4P women’s dorm after midnight and woke us all up by turning on the lights, then snored SO loud (I’m not kidding, it was awful) and then had their alarm go off 5 times— hitting snooze every time. I didn’t get any sleep because they do not provide earplugs here or have an option to buy them at the counter or vending machine… also the vending machine sells condoms but not ear plugs? Interesting. I basically paid $100 to lie in a bed awake all night listening to someone saw logs. Don’t be like me.

Most likely, the original Mexican owners have sold business to an Indian Gentleman. The new owner is a very nice person but the food quality is not great. They serve most awkward interpretation of Ceviche and Calamari.

El Toro is an absolute gem in Banff! I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offer halal meat options, which made the experience even better. The food was delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly! You can really taste the quality in every bite. On top of that, the service was outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal. It’s rare to find a place that combines such great flavors with such genuine hospitality. If you’re visiting Banff and looking for a spot with halal options, I highly recommend El Toro. It’s definitely a restaurant I’ll be coming back to!

The food was not bad. Felt a little overpriced for what it was. I got the chicken fajitas. They were pretty good, but a little bland. I barely had any peppers. If this was supposed to be fine dining, that's not what it looks or taste. My friend got the trip fajitas and that looked better. The table next to us had a really good looking meal. Probably we didn't get the right thing. I would visit again, but not that impressed from my first visit.

The girl who was serving us was really nice and friendly. We went for breakfast, and even though I’m not a big fan of eggs, I ordered the egg burrito and honestly, I kind of liked it! Overall, a pleasant and satisfying experience.

Saif made our experience very enjoyable. He is one of the nicest waiters we’ve ever met who went above and beyond! He was able to accommodate to our special requests and attended to us throughout our meal time. As for the food, we got fried calamari, beef tartare and tacos. Overall they were all just okay - good for a filling dinner but nothing exceptionally special. We really appreciated the sides for the tacos (guac, salsa, sour cream and beans). Edit: I left my backpack in the restaurant and noticed over an hour later. When I went back to the restaurant to check (was very stressed), Saif was already expecting us and told us he was trying to find our phone number to call us. To Saif, we hope you get everything you want in life and more😭 thank you for being an amazing waiter and person🙏

There was a queue right in front of the cafe a few minutes before opening. We waited around 10-15 minutes until we got to order but the coffee and food were served fast. If you order brewed coffee, they’ll serve it right away. I noticed most customers just order takeout and leave right away. The cafe wasn’t that crowded even if the line to order was never ending! The food was pretty decent, especially for ready-to-eat cafe food. Coffee was great, too. They have a lot of seats inside and more seats outside with a nice view.

Not the greatest place. I got the pumpkin pie latte, caffe latte, and turmeric latte. They were all pretty mid, we also got the black forest muffin, which was okay. Their latte art however was really pretty. The place isn't very expensive but I wouldn't say it's super cheap either, taste wise. I wouldn't really recommend it since there are better options, but go for it if you'd like.

After eating lunch at farm and fire we came here to get a coffee and chai before hiking. Upon meeting the person at the register. You could not ask for less personality. We went ahead and ordered and waited a long time for our drinks. It wasn’t super busy either. The barista literally put the chai powder on the bottom of the cup and poured oat milk on top and didn’t mix it then gave it to us and told us to mix it. The chai and coffee were so bad that after leaving we threw them out. I have never had a chai given to us to be left to mix and prep it. That’s the job of the person making the drink yet they still ask for a tip before you get the drink. Highly expensive and not worth the money. Definitely go somewhere else!!!!

McDonald's is a well-known fast food chain that operates in many countries around the world. They offer a variety of food items, including burgers and fries. At this time, their Dine-in hours are from 6am to midnight, but they hope to extend these hours in the future. Their Take-out and Drive-Thru hours are also currently available, but they may extend these in the future as well.
A Remarkable Turnaround — McDonald’s Banff Deserves the Recognition I’ve been visiting Banff for the past 20 years, and to be honest, I used to avoid this McDonald’s entirely. Years ago, I had such a poor experience that I never considered going back — until 2024, when someone encouraged me to give it another try. I was blown away. The transformation is incredible. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a warm, professional, and genuinely kind team. Their positive energy and friendly service immediately changed the tone of my visit and made me feel at ease — something I hadn’t expected from a fast-food restaurant. The cleanliness is another major improvement. The upstairs washroom is now clean and well-maintained (though regular checks every 30 minutes to 1 hour would help keep it that way). The downstairs washroom, despite the heavy foot traffic, is impressively clean and functional — well done to the staff who keep it that way! One of the most unexpected highlights is the upper lobby. It’s thoughtfully designed — ideal for professionals, remote workers, or anyone needing a peaceful spot to sit, work, or relax. Even with the joyful noise of families and global tourists around, the layout somehow creates a calm, comfortable atmosphere where you can enjoy your meal, chat with friends, or focus on work without distraction. It’s clear that this McDonald’s is now being managed with care, professionalism, and attention to detail. In my opinion, you’ve exceeded expectations and outshone many local restaurants — and yes, even Starbucks. To the entire team: thank you. You’ve not only changed my view of this location — you’ve set a new benchmark. Keep up the great work!

We visited Banff yesterday from Vancouver and dined in at this McDonald’s. Honestly, we’ve never had such a great experience at any other location! The serving style was impressive, the sauces and lettuce were evenly and fresh patties & fries, and everything tasted super yummy. A clean, well-managed spot—highly recommend!
Kripa B — Google review
Absolutely disgusting! I ordered a meal and my fries were barely above stone cold and they are the first thing I dig into. I go up and politely exchange my fries for "fresh ones". The worker picks up some fries already in a bag and off to the side. Unsurprisingly these fries were also cold. Learned from test feeling some with my fingers. I went and again asked for new, fresh fries. The worker takes to fries my fingers have been on and dumps them back into their stock of cooked fries waiting to go out. 🤢🤮

Service was ok. Food was really dissapointing burgers were cold, fries were old, gravy for poutine didnt taste good, No sugar in coffees i give the food 0 stars if possible but ibhave to give at least 1. only decent thing was the young man who brought us our food was polite and anything we needed brought to us right away. For being in a place thats busy would expect the food to be more fresh and actually hot. Gonna re think about coming back for a bite to eat on our way home.

The lunch crowd was alot but the service here is swift and the crowd thinned quickly. I was served by Jacie, she was super efficient and helpful, even offered to adjust our order. We had a wonderful experience because of her. Thank you Jacie for the amazing service and wonderful personality. We loved it

We ordered food here about 15 minutes ago: one Big Mac and one Double Big Mac. Instead of the Double, we were given a regular Big Mac in the Double Big Mac box. The poutine (almost $6) was filled only halfway — that’s unacceptable for the price. The place was full of customers, but it looked like only two people were preparing the orders, so the quality control was clearly missing. I would not recommend taking food to go from this location without checking your order carefully before leaving. Very disappointing experience.

Cafe
Starbucks is a renowned coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, offering a variety of signature roasts, light snacks, and WiFi access. Despite its commercial nature and higher prices, the brand has significantly influenced the global coffee culture. With friendly staff and high-speed wireless internet available, Starbucks has become a popular choice for many. The chain serves espresso, cappuccinos, fresh-brewed coffees, teas, and some prepared foods in markets worldwide.
Clean space. Beautiful location. Was not as chaotic as there is enough seating. Wanted to try something new - the staff couldn’t recommend me much.
Tawab A — Google review
Whoever manages this location seriously needs to audit their operations. During my visit, the gentleman on the left was making every single drink on his own, clearly overwhelmed, while the two women on the right stood at the register together — using only one till — chatting and laughing as the line grew. It took 20 minutes for a single drink, which is unacceptable by any standard. I’ve been to Starbucks all over the world and I’ve never witnessed such poor workflow or lack of teamwork. This isn’t just about speed — it’s about fairness to staff and customers. Management needs to step in.
William Z — Google review
It was busy when I went on a Saturday afternoon but the staff were doing their best to serve the drinks in a reasonable time. Cashier was nice and friendly. Drinks were really good and were done right. Thanks to the staff in this branch.

Had a quick breakfast here before we drove to Lake Louise. Food was good, coffees were great, staff was awesome. Didn’t manage to catch their names but they were all wearing the biggest smiles. A perfect start to a perfect day. Oodles of thanks from B.C.!
Summer D — Google review
I had a disappointing experience at this branch. The environment was chaotic—water had spilled on the floor and wasn’t cleaned up promptly, making the place feel disorganized. The line was long, and it took over 30 minutes to get our order. We ordered a Caramel Macchiato expecting that bold coffee flavor we enjoy, but it came out tasting overly milky. When we asked the staff to adjust it, we were told we’d need to pay for an extra shot of espresso instead. Overall, not the quality or service we were expecting.
Genesis P — Google review
The baristas were fast and efficient and the store was kept kept clean despite the busyness of it!
RJ — Google review
This branch is very disorganized and unprofessional. I ordered a Mango Dragonfruit, but the lid was not properly sealed and half of it spilled on my shirt. When I asked to see the manager, I was told they weren’t available and the assistant would arrive in half an hour. Instead of apologizing, the staff only said: “Well, what do you want to do? We can refund your money.” No apology at all. They didn’t care. Beautiful environment and good products, but the staff were careless and irresponsible. I do not recommend this branch.

The Lodge of the Ten Peaks Cafeteria is a convenient spot for a quick lunch while enjoying your time on the slopes. The cafeteria offers a variety of options including fresh salads, pastries, snacks, and hot or cold drinks to cater to different tastes. The lodge itself features a beautiful interior with a two-story stone fireplace at its center.
Absolutely delicious chicken pesto wrap (but a little dry, so you may want to pick up a packet of mayo or put some oil/vinegar in it; I would recommend grabbing that before you run off). Staff was quick and friendly, which was perfect because I was running late! Ate this on the mountain at Moraine Lake and loved it.

Giving 3 just because of the girl at cashier who sells coffee and wraps. Customer service is 0* No smile, no emotions, not helpful. Horrible experience. Place is fine, but everything is dusty.
Lana L — Google review
Rating is for the food. 2.5 at most. The lodge itself is nice...but the food was sub par mediocre. I suppose what you can expect from any ski lodge cafe option. It was around $7-8 and quantity was ok...to low. Wouldnt recommend eating here unless theres no other option (during my visit the other restaurants were not open).
CY S — Google review
Visited the resort last September ‘22. The food was okay-ish but the burger was my fave. The beef was juicy and the burger itself was filling. There were so much fries but at least I got some take out. However, I feel like if you have done more physical work (I only walked and rode the gondola), you’d finish the food in a heartbeat.
Jeanne F — Google review
The atmosphere and ambience is beautiful but the staff at the cafeteria were extremely rude and impatient, and their cleanliness was just unacceptable. We saw them use their hands for EVERYTHING— holding receipts, flipping patties, cooking sausages and cheese and even assembling wraps (see pics attached). The food was sooo salty yet flavourless, not to mention extremely overpriced. Would definitely not dine here again.
Natasha Y — Google review
Very beautiful place! Went to go on the Gondola ride, was hoping to see a bear like it said but the view at the top was completely worth it. I wish I lived closer so I could visit this beautiful log palace more often!
Brittany E — Google review
I am not a food d critic but this place is overprice and everything is too salty. The poutine's cheese come unmelted with lukewarm fries. It's designed for hungry tourists who don't care about quality.

Nice stop for getting to Moraine lake. Liked the atmosphere here a lot. Washrooms were not too good though- need to be improved.

Alpha Bistro is a great restaurant in Banff town. The food is delicious and the service is good. They have reasonable prices and it's a great place to eat.
The food is amazing, but the service with Kelly is a different level. We all know it can be hit or miss with restaurants. Then someone like Kelly serves you and a good dinner goes from good to amazing. We are so grateful for the great experience. Alpha restaurant is very lucky to have someone like Kelly on staff.

I am not typically one to take the time to write a bad review. Onward & upward is typically my way. But my husband and I almost feel the need to 'warn' others for lack of a better word. Overpriced and Underwhelming We recently dined at this restaurant during our stay in Banff, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. My husband ordered the butter chicken, which came with rice and naan bread. The naan was clearly store-bought, and the chicken in the butter chicken dish tasted like it had been frozen—not fresh at all. I ordered the Mediterranean pizza, which was honestly awful. It felt and tasted like a frozen pizza—bland and entirely unappetizing. To make matters worse, the service was subpar. It took far too long for anyone to notice we were even there, and there were no offers to refill our drinks. We had to actively flag down staff just to get basic attention. The final kicker was the price. For such poor-quality food and service, the pricing was outrageously high. It was a waste of money for what we received. For a restaurant in such a popular and beautiful location, we expected so much better. Sadly, we cannot recommend this place and would advise others to look elsewhere for a better dining experience.

I can’t say enough good things about Alpha Bistro. We stayed at RMR for a family vacation and went to Alpha Bistro for my wife’s birthday. We were initially somewhat apprehensive because it seemed quiet (off season) but Kelly made us feel so special and really hit the nail on the head. Dinner was phenomenal… we both ordered the steak. It was absolutely delicious and truly exceeded our expectations. Kelly made us laugh more than a dozen times and really made my wife feel special on her big day. We couldn’t be happier with this place. It will be a go-to for us in the future.
Brian A — Google review
Great service, staff so personable. Fine dining, yet it is informal and casual. The food is amazing and delicious, well rounded menu and great to have vegetarian options that are not just a pile of low protein boring pasta. Lovely atmosphere, calm, nice music that isn’t too loud. Relaxing. The loud music and etc noise at most restaurants is so irritating to me that I d rather cook and stay home. It is so lovely here that I really enjoyed the experience. Very professional. Looking forward to coming back. Kudos to the staff and thank- you.

Kim and Kelly are the best servers! They are attentive, quick with service, accurate with orders, always quick with the drinks, and kind natured. The food is great- fresh, cooked to order, flavourful - everything you’d expect from a bistro! Their menus are seasonal which is great for locals who love a bit of variety! They have a beautiful summer patio away from the road - definitely worth a visit on a sunny day! Thanks so much, Alpha Bistro team!

Sudden Sally is a popular restaurant in Banff known for its delicious food and excellent service. Visitors have praised the establishment for its welcoming atmosphere, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends. Many have particularly enjoyed the breakfast offerings, considering it as one of the best in the area.
We visited this place and were delighted. The food was delicious, and the duck leg was incredibly tender. The plate with cheese, sausage, olives, and sauces was loved by the whole family. And of course, the burgers! The kids' burger was $12, and it was a nice price. My burger was a little more expensive, but it was tasty and juicy. It was nice that this place had happy hours and our discount was $21. Delicious, atmospheric, pleasant service, polite waiters. If we plan a new vacation or pass by, we will definitely come again. Thank you!

This cafe was inside of the hotel I was staying at. The coffee here was pretty good, and not too overly pricey. I got a caramel latte, flat white, and a simple latte. They weren't too sweet or too bitter. I also got the almond croissant, which I didn't take a photo of, but I highly recommend. The pain au chocolat, was also pretty good. I recommend coming here.
Hadia A — Google review
Weve been staying at the Hotel Canoe where Sudden Sally is located and have been there a few timea during our stay and were never disappointed with any of our visits. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Each and everyone of them were great ambassadors of the restaurant. Knowledgeable and informative not just about what they were serving but also about the area and local attractions. Harry looked after us a couple of times here and after our first visit, felt like catching up with a mate. We also enthusiastically took up the 'Happy Hour' offerings which Harry had told us about on our first visit for the next two evenings ( We weren't the only ones btw!) and tried out nearly every cocktail on the list and thoroughly enjoyed every single one! Will definitely be visiting here again and will be advising anyone we know visiting to do the same. Thanks Guys. Sunny and Luke. ❤️

Went here for breakfast earlier this week and it was absolutely delicious! The portions are large so I ordered a side of eggs, a side of toast, and a side of potatoes and it was perfect!! We also had a fruit plate and yogurt parfait which were both enormous and an almond croissant! The beverages were lovely as well. We received excellent service from the host team and also from our server. The atmosphere was quite relaxing and welcoming and the views are stunning as well. They have a sit down area with table service as well as a take away area. You can order from the takeaway or the menu when you dine in. The pastries are delicious. I will definitely return here next time I’m in Banff for breakfast!

Sudden Sally has great food at reasonable price. Perfect place for brunch. Our party ordered pancakes, tuna poke bowl, chickpea burger and veggie breakfast. Everything was great and portion size is great too.
Mohit V — Google review
Great views during the summer when you can sit outside. Service was pleasant but they sat us outside and kind of forgot about us. 😎 the waitress apologized after she realized it. No worries! The only think I can really complain about is that I substituted fries for fruit and got four VERY small pieces of fruit at an extra charge. Maybe it’s costly to get fresh fruit in Banff. Other than that, Sudden Sally is an excellent restaurant with solid service and really delicious foods!

Very nice choice of drinks, cocktails, beers and wines. Delicious dishes whether just appetizer, brunch or dinner. Recommend the happy hour 2-5pm. Harry was great looking after us mostly during our stay

Downtown Sally is a charming coffee shop nestled within an indoor shopping area, offering a tranquil atmosphere and adjacent to a delightful plant and flower shop. Visitors can savor hot and delicious apple cider along with delectable almond croissants, making it an ideal spot for work, study, or socializing. The menu features an array of sandwiches, salads, bakery items like muffins and danishes, as well as parfaits. The friendly baristas add to the welcoming ambiance.
I was looking for a place to have breakfast and I decided to come and give it a try. When I arrived, I realized that the menu was completely different from the one they have on their website. Still, I was happy with my what I ordered because it was up to my liking. I ordered the hot cocoa (hot chocolate) and I wished I could have gotten another one just before leaving the city. I’ve never had one that tasted that good before and I was absolutely in love with it.

This is a popular outpost of the restaurant cafe. And it gets busy right after 8. I managed to get there before 8, ordered - wrap and a cappuccino and sat down. As I finished my meal the crowd grew and grew and by the time I left at 830, they had brought in another staff and the behind the counter staff and baristas were slammed. Coffee is strong and good. Food is reasonable and they have a turbo chef oven to reheat food. They use real stoneware for food taken in the cafe which I appreciate. I will definitely come back if passing through.
Rinaldi W — Google review
Cute lil coffee place in Banff downtown. Loved their croissants. Their Almond Croissant is the best I ever had. Highly recommend.
Monica M — Google review
We ordered a vanilla latte and matcha latte. It was busy when we went, so a small wait, which was A okay because the aesthetics of the cute little cafe made your time pass just fine. The vanilla latte was delicious. The matcha needed less milk and ice, and more matcha flavour. It was a great local coffee place for a drink to enjoy with the beautiful views of Banff town.
Potter H — Google review
A small coffee shop and cafe in downtown Banff. I cannot say much about their drinks but their sandwiches and bakery goods and pastries were only of "grocery store" quality. Passable but not good. There is a much better option just down the street if you are looking for fresh baked bread and pastries. However, this place usually do not have a line (unlike the other place) so it is quick if you are in a rush.
Matthew C — Google review
If you want a great little cafe that has nice baristas, delicious drinks, a humongous cinnamon roll and doesn't take forever, COME HERE!! I don't know why everyone goes to that other place down the street that has mediocre food and very slow service when this place is AWESOME! Note, if you're entering from the Wolf St side, go past the Indian restaurant and to the left. If you come in the Bear St side, it's right inside the main door (and there's some outside patio seating)
