The Sydney Opera House is an iconic arts center located on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, offering breathtaking views of the harbor, bridge, and city skyline. With over 1,600 performances annually, it hosts a diverse range of events including opera, theatre, music, dance, and comedy shows. This architectural marvel is a must-see attraction that draws millions of visitors each year. Its unique design and cultural significance make it a standout feature of the picturesque Sydney Harbour.
Booked the tour and dining experience for $81 weeks in advance. Tour started and ended on time with a group of around 20. Headsets were provided so that everyone can hear the live tour guide. They will ask you to check in any medium or large sizes bags or backpacks, but it's easy and free. Tour involved some easy, short walks and steps, but anyone can manage. Very informative and worth doing. The dining add on gives you 3 restaurant options to choose from, all very close by. There's a special, limited menu just for this deal. I chose Midden which had no wait for lunch time and went with the barramundi dish and pinot grigio. The fish was excellent, perfectly cooked and thoughtfully flavored. Asked for no added salt and they were able to accommodate. Wine was good as well and recommended by the server. Overall, a great tour and dining experience that's reasonably priced

The structure is amazing… just like the pictures you see in Internet. Easy to move around. Handicap friendly. Many spots for snacks and even for lunch or dinner. Inside is big enough to run several events at the same time. We saw The Shiralee… excellent play presentation. Buster really run the show. The terrace around the Opera offers great spots for pictures and opportunities to crash on weddings… many diverse weddings. If you have time, you can visit the Botanical Garden nearby. You can’t miss it, if you are in Sydney!

Of course, the iconic tourist attraction! We usually only take pictures from the outside whenever visiting the Sydney Opera House (SOH). But Alhamdulillah this year we had the chance to watch the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) performance. The architecture is really unique. The view from inside SOP to the Harbour Bridge and the surrounding areas is breathtaking! Each performance lasted around 1.5 hours. The multimedia facility as additional modern setting adds to the amazing theatrical experience. I did not expect to watch the ACO with documentary screening as background. There are bar and café on the main concern hall that serves drinks and light snacks. You can enter from the main entrance located under the primary stairs structure, or you can enter via a door with security check-in table to right after the tourist ticketing area. There are many concerts and arts performances for all ages, not just classical opera or orchestra as I used to think. Well, a famous landmark does not need recommendation. It speaks for itself.
Ira S — Google review
Sydney Opera House really leans into that whole “world-famous icon” thing, but once you stand in front of it you cannot unsee the truth. It looks exactly like a giant rack to dry dishes. A premium, waterfront, government-funded dish rack. Someone clearly put the budget on the wrong Pinterest board. It still looks good, no denying that. The patterns on the tiles are gorgeous, the shape is wild, the whole structure owns the harbor like it pays rent for the sun. But the moment the dish-rack comparison hits your brain, it is over. Those shiny white shells become plates waiting to drip dry. And the big question: was it worth the time and money? Honestly, maybe. It is one of those bucket list things you check off because it is famous, not because it changes your life. You go there, you stare at it, you laugh at how much it looks like kitchen equipment, you take the photos, and you move on. Iconic, yes. Beautiful, sure. Worth the hype? Debatable. But unforgettable as the world’s fanciest dish rack.

Stopped by for a quick look around. Sydney is a beautiful city and this part of town is both historic and swanky. Lots of people about enjoying their evening and overall a very good atmosphere. The whole area surrounding the opera house is lovely to explore.

If you are a lover of Broadway, opera or just to see an iconic building, than this is a must see. Take a guided walking tour starting from the basement on up through the inner workings of the back end. Very interesting and informative. Wear comfortable shoes, it’s a lot of walking. If you are going for a great breakfast, don’t count on it. It’s just meh. Breakfast is at the end of the tour in what they call back in the states their commissary but they call it their green room.

Architecture that captivates your heart! I didn't get a chance to go inside, but honestly, the outside view is stunning enough on its own, it has its power to grab everyone's attention. Top Tip: If you want the best possible view, take a ferry from Circular Quay after sunset. Seeing the Opera House from the water at night is an unmissable experience.
Kishan N — Google review
To call the Sydney Opera House an extraordinary global landmark is not an overstatement. Its design is a study in elegant simplicity, and it inspires a powerful sense of awe whether you are standing right beside it or seeing it from across the harbor. I find myself at a loss for words to fully express my admiration for this magnificent structure. The architecture's silhouette forms a breathtaking curve where the structure meets the sky. This fabulous view is captivating at any hour, whether in the bright light of day or the dark of night.

Nature & Parks
Hyde Park, located in the heart of Sydney's CBD, is a historic and expansive public park dating back to 1792. Spanning 16 hectares, it offers a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city, featuring statues of famous Australians and serving as a venue for various events and festivals during the summer months. A visit to Hyde Park is an essential part of exploring Sydney on foot, as it provides easy access to iconic landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
A nice green space situated nearby St James, Martin Place & Town Hall stations and many bus stops. You see the heritage listed Barracks, Anzac memorial whilst viewing the reflective pool. Its a good place to sit back, have a picnic and relax whilst viewing the unstoppable march forward of time.

Amazing park and beautiful area to walk or have a picnic. The fountains are beautiful especially the bubbler monument where you can drink the water from however today it was not working. The best was the Archibald memorial fountain. Not to mention, there was great music too.

Green Oasis in the City – Hyde Park, Sydney Hyde Park holds a special place in my heart. It was right in front of my college, so I visited it very often — between classes, after lectures, or just to unwind. Located right in the heart of Sydney, this park offers a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. It’s the perfect spot to relax, have a casual chat with friends, or even enjoy some quiet time alone. The lush greenery, beautiful fountains, and wide walkways make it feel like a mini oasis in the middle of the urban jungle. What I loved most was how diverse the vibe always was — people jogging, doing yoga, reading, having picnics, or simply enjoying their lunch breaks. It’s also surrounded by stunning architecture and historical monuments like the Archibald Fountain and the ANZAC Memorial, which adds a rich cultural touch.

It is an urban park, of 16.2-hectare (40-acre), located in the central business district of Sydney, Australia. It is the oldest public parkland in Australia. It is approximately rectangular in shape. Built in stages between 1810 and 1927. Picturesque place. Must see place. Level terrain, lots of easy walking. Popular place, lots of tourists and locals. Free entry

Lovely central green space in Sydney surrounding by both old and new architecture. The fountain in the middle is a great photo spot and the ANZAC memorial is very poignant.

Beautiful park in a stunning city. Lots of seating options. There is quite a bit of maintenance and building going on as of October 2025
Su S — Google review
It's a good walking area, pet friendly, I would recommend you to go around in the evening. Nearby places - Australian museum, Saint cathedral Church. There is a connecting train station from here - Museum - train station name. The park is divided into 2 parts, half part has a pool of reflection and Anzac memorial. And on the other side you'll find the Archibald memorial fountain.

I’ve visited the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney for a few consecutive years now, and it’s always been such a lovely experience. My first visit was in 2022 when I had some time before my flight back to Singapore — it was really chill and gave me space to reflect on my trip. In 2023, I went back alone and did the walk through to the Opera House, which was both fun and relaxing. Then in 2024, I brought my family along, and we managed to snap some truly amazing photos together. Overall, it’s a great place to take a walk, enjoy the scenery, and even burn a few calories. The air feels fresh, the views are beautiful, and its location near the Opera House makes it perfect for a stroll after a meal. It can get a little crowded near the evening, but the atmosphere is still enjoyable. For tourists, I’d say this is definitely a must-visit spot in Sydney. Here are some photos from my visits over the years 🌿📸. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Spending the entire day at this beautiful botanic garden was truly a delightful experience. The meticulously maintained landscapes offered a serene atmosphere, perfect for peaceful contemplation. Diverse plant collections showcased nature's artistry, providing ample opportunities for exploration and discovery. Every corner revealed new wonders, making it easy to lose track of time while wandering through the trails. I highly recommend visiting this enchanting garden.

A vibrant spring scene featuring a variety of blooming flowers in a beautifully landscaped city garden. The atmosphere is fresh and lively, with soft sunlight filtering through blossoming trees. Colorful tulips, daisies, and cherry blossoms fill the garden paths. People stroll peacefully among the flowers, enjoying the mild breeze and fragrant air. The city skyline rises gently in the background, creating a perfect blend of nature and urban beauty.

We visited Sydney in spring time and the flowers were out across the gardens making for a lovely sight of colours together with a floral scent. The gardens and park are extensive but can be easily walked to enjoy this open space. Great views too across the harbour the bridge and the opera house.

Stunningly gorgeous, expansive garden. There are so many beautiful flowers and trees, and the landscaping is so beautiful with the ponds, fountains, and sculptures. There is a beautiful view of the harbor from here, and there are a variety of beautiful birds that live here. There are plenty of benches and shady areas if you need to sit down, too. It is free to come here.

The Royal Botanic Garden is beautifully maintained and absolutely worth a visit. It’s incredibly peaceful, with plenty of birds—you can hear them chirping everywhere. It’s the perfect place to wander, unwind, and forget you’re in the middle of the city. You’ll also find great views of the Opera House. Whether you want to have a picnic or just relax, it’s an ideal spot to spend some time.

The place is HUGE, well kept with lots of benches and pavilions scattered around. I visited on a hot, sunny day and ended up sweating. I’d love to return on a cooler, cloudy day to really take in the views in more comfortable weather.

Luna Park Sydney, a beloved amusement park located at Milsons Point, has been enchanting visitors since its grand opening in 1935. After undergoing redevelopment and reopening in 2004, this iconic destination features a charming blend of vintage rides like the Wild Mouse Rollercoaster and the Big Dipper, alongside classic attractions such as the Carousel.
Walking through the giant smiling entrance at Luna Park feels like stepping into a bright slice of Sydney nostalgia with the harbour as your backdrop. The moment you clear the gate you are met by carnival music, strings of bulbs overhead and the smell of popcorn and hot chips drifting on the breeze. It is an easy place to wander for a while even before you touch a ride. The old-school fun house, the carousel and the Ferris Wheel set a playful tone, and every so often you catch a glimpse of the Opera House or the bridge between the rides that reminds you there is no theme park view quite like this one. Ride mix suits most moods. Little kids light up in the gentle zones, older thrill seekers peel off to the faster stuff, and the Ferris Wheel earns a second mention because sunset laps are hard to beat for photos. Queues ebb and flow, yet staff keep things moving and height checks are handled kindly so there are no surprises at the platform. Food lands in familiar territory, which is part of the charm, with enough quick options to refuel without derailing the day. I liked grabbing a drink and finding a bench by the water for ten minutes of people watching before jumping back into the lights and noise. A few tips make the visit smoother. Tap on at Milsons Point Station and walk down, or arrive by ferry for the full postcard entrance. Prebook a ride pass if you can, it saves time at the ticket window. Lockers are available for bags, comfortable shoes help on the boardwalks, and a light layer is handy because the breeze can pick up after dark. Stay for twilight if possible. The park glows, the skyline switches on and the harbour turns into a sheet of reflections that makes every ride feel a little more special.

Sydney’s Luna Park – A Disappointing Experience From a distance, Luna Park in Sydney looks attractive and well-located, but once you get closer, the reality is very different. The park is squeezed between residential flats, and the overall atmosphere feels cramped and uninviting. When we visited, several of the main rides — at least four to five — were closed without any prior notice. Despite paying around $150 for tickets, we felt the money was completely wasted. On top of that, we had purchased additional tickets for some games, but when we saw them up close, it became clear that the games were overpriced and not worth the money. One of the biggest disappointments was the management’s attitude. When we asked about the closed rides, the staff gave vague, roundabout answers instead of providing clear information. At one point, a ride even stopped operating while people were still on it. The riders were taken off, and when we asked what happened, the only explanation we got was: “It’s closed for today.” When we asked when it would reopen, there was no proper answer. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing visit. Both our time and money were wasted. If you are planning to visit Sydney as a tourist, it’s better not to even bother going near Luna Park. It looks appealing from afar, but once inside, it fails to meet even basic expectations of an amusement park.
Sibte A — Google review
Very fun day out with lots to see and do! We ran out of time to see everything, you really need a whole day there to enjoy all the rides. I would have given 5 stars if there was more rides available for the 'red ticket' holders (generally 3-4 year olds) and if the park had some sort of lockers available to store your things in. Don't buy any food here if you can avoid it....it's pretty expensive and make sure you catch the ferry over. It's much quicker than trekking back up the hill to the train station.
Amber W — Google review
O wow what a unbelievably amazing amusement Park, must go and I would suggest take a longer pass coz you would want to go again and again. Big Dipper is amazing thrilling ride, so is wild mouse. And as soon as you enter there is a rotor one. Do try that it's simply wow the feel in that ride, make sure not to eat too much and it's going to make you feel light headed. Enjoy and enjoyyyyyyyy

You know there is a 4 hours Halloween ticketed event with entertainment everywhere you go and amazing staff keeping you entertained and shows. - so instead of grabbing grabbing a popcorn and enjoy the vibe you decide to waste your night by standing in lines and wait for a ride and miss out on the whole idea of the hallowscream then come back here and post a 1 star review. go do rides on another day when you have time - i enjoyed my night here and i wanna do it again next year And by the way i did 4 rides Thank you luna park

It was great but it was warm best time for a look around is midweek not too many people and then catch the ferry to darling / hbr. Great and stay on and go back to the quay 5 stops for $5. Good value.

Great place, wortg a visit with kids for fun and amazing views. Food is not bad and the waiting time is average for a teame park. Can get around with a pram and a fair amount of rides for little ones as well.

Took my 2 Grandsons and 2 nephews all under 10 & 1 just big enough to make the red wristband (so we all could ride) They had the most amazing time and I thought we would only be there for a couple of hours and before I knew it 5hrs had gone by. The kids rides were perfect for them all and we all got to go on the Ferris wheel together to see that beautiful harbour.

Sydney Harbour Bridge, an iconic structure opened in 1932, offers the thrilling BridgeClimb experience and the Pylon Lookout with exhibitions. Beyond its fame, Sydney's surroundings offer unique experiences like camping beneath the bridge or glamping in a zoo with a harbor view. The city's wild heart extends to camping areas and caravan parks near the CBD, while train rides from Central Station lead to the Blue Mountains or coastal beaches.
This was such a great walk across the bridge. One has a choice to take the hike up above or walk along the path that is more level and the views quite spectacular. There are a few spots to sit and rest if needed as well.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the most remarkable landmarks in Australia and an absolute must-visit when in Sydney. Known as the “Coathanger” because of its unique shape, this bridge is not only an engineering marvel but also a symbol of the city’s history and pride. Whether you are walking across it, driving over it, or simply admiring it from afar, the Harbour Bridge leaves a lasting impression. One of the best experiences is taking a leisurely walk across the bridge. The pedestrian walkway provides stunning views of the Sydney Opera House, the sparkling harbour, and the vibrant city skyline. It is especially breathtaking at sunrise or sunset when the light reflects off the water, creating an unforgettable scene. For those seeking adventure, the famous BridgeClimb offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to climb to the very top, where you are rewarded with panoramic views that stretch as far as the Blue Mountains. The bridge is not just about sightseeing—it’s a living part of Sydney’s daily life. Thousands of cars, trains, cyclists, and pedestrians cross it every day, making it both functional and iconic. The blend of practicality and beauty makes it stand out as one of the greatest bridges in the world. Whether viewed from a ferry on the harbour, the Opera House steps, or from the top during a climb, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is truly spectacular. It represents strength, connection, and the spirit of Sydney. A visit here is always inspiring and memorable.
Pravin R — Google review
Standing atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge was an unforgettable experience. The panoramic views of the Sydney Opera House, the sparkling harbor waters, and the city skyline were absolutely breathtaking. Walking across the bridge gave me a real sense of how massive and iconic this structure is — a true feat of engineering. The climb to the top was surprisingly smooth and well-guided, and the safety measures made the entire journey feel comfortable and secure. The fresh breeze off the harbor and the sight of ferries passing below added to the magic of the moment. What really stood out to me was how the Harbour Bridge brings the city together — both literally and symbolically. Whether you're walking, cycling, or driving across, there's a sense of connection to Sydney's history and its vibrant present. The guides were knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories about the bridge's construction and role in the city's development. It's more than just a bridge — it's a living part of Sydney's culture. If you're visiting, I’d say this is absolutely a must-do.
Edrea P — Google review
It is a must experience to walk through the bridge! Stunning views, and about 20/30min walking :) You can also pay to go up the little museum and have an even better view, but we didn’t do it and had the greatest time, still.

Lovely place and a special part of my son's family history. Celebrated 100 years! Well done with the security, clean and lovely place to visit. Many wonderful experiences to be had there and around the bridge with Sydney.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Australia and offers a truly unique experience. Walking across the bridge provides spectacular views of the Opera House, Circular Quay, and the harbour.
Daniela — Google review
The Sydney Harbour Bridge stands as one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, offering an impressive combination of engineering and scenic beauty. Whether viewed from the waterfront or walked across, the bridge delivers sweeping views of the harbour, the Opera House, and the city skyline. Its scale and structure are striking up close, making even a simple stroll feel memorable. The surrounding areas are equally enjoyable, with well-maintained paths, lookout points, and plenty of spots to take in the scenery. Whether you’re sightseeing, photographing the skyline, or just exploring on foot, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a highlight that captures the essence of Sydney’s vibrant harbour.
Andy W — Google review
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is more than just an engineering marvel—it’s a symbol that defines the city’s skyline. Stretching gracefully across the harbor, its giant steel arch frames the water with both strength and elegance. Whether you see it from Circular Quay, the Royal Botanic Garden, or from a ferry gliding underneath, the bridge always commands attention, anchoring the view of Sydney in a way that feels both powerful and beautiful. ✨ A Masterpiece of Design and Scale Nicknamed the “Coathanger” for its sweeping arch, the bridge combines simplicity with grandeur. Its dark steel contrasts dramatically with the blue of the sky and the shimmer of the harbor, creating a bold silhouette that is instantly recognizable around the world. By day it looks solid and commanding; by night, illuminated against the city lights, it becomes almost magical. 🌊 A Perfect Companion to the Opera House What makes the Harbour Bridge especially beautiful is the way it interacts with its surroundings. Alongside the Sydney Opera House, it forms one of the most iconic pairs in global architecture—the strong, geometric arch harmonizing with the sail-like curves of the Opera House. Together, they create a skyline that is not just famous but deeply moving, a perfect blend of engineering and artistry. 🌟 A Living Landmark The bridge isn’t only beautiful from afar; it’s alive with movement. Cars, trains, cyclists, and pedestrians cross it every day, making it not just a monument but a vital part of the city’s daily rhythm. For those who climb it, the view from the top offers one of the most spectacular panoramas of Sydney, with the harbor stretching endlessly in all directions. ⸻ ✅ In short: The Sydney Harbour Bridge is both practical and poetic, a structure that carries people across the water while also carrying the weight of Sydney’s identity. Its beauty lies in its scale, its simplicity, and its perfect harmony with the harbor it spans.

Bennelong is a renowned fine dining destination located within the iconic Sydney Opera House. The restaurant offers a spectacular view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge through its large glass windows, creating an unforgettable dining experience. The hushed dining room features Indigenous art, elegant lighting, and lantern-lit tables with leather chairs, providing a stellar setting for event dining.
11th October 2025. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and what a lovely absolute treat! Loved every moment and mouthful and you must try it at least once. We had a 6.15pm booking but we arrived earlier than we anticipated and were seated upon arrival about 25mins early. There is a small bar you could sit if needed though. While seated, we were initially offered the smaller menu as our waitress thought that's what we booked, but after we explained we were early she returned to confirm we were there for the full menu. Between us we had the 3 course menu and 6 cocktails which valued @ $600-650, but again it was well worth it for the occasion and the experience. The food was delicious! The staff were fantastic! The ambience and views, stunning! We had pea/asparagus and pork belly entree. Brisket and beef with 2x sides as part of the meal for mains. Mango and pav for dessert. Complimentary warm sourdough served before entree. Nothing more I can add, except that you need to give it a go if you haven't already.

We wanted to share the fantastic experience we had recently at Bennelong restaurant, located in the iconic Sydney Opera House. From the moment we walked in, we were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The service was nothing short of excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. The food was outstanding, with each dish meticulously prepared and bursting with flavor. The quality and presentation were top-notch, making every bite a delight. The ambiance of Bennelong is truly something special. The stunning architecture of the Sydney Opera House, combined with the elegant and sophisticated interior, creates a unique and memorable dining atmosphere. The panoramic views of Sydney Harbour add an extra touch of magic to the experience. Overall, I highly recommend Bennelong restaurant for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Sydney. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, Bennelong is sure to impress.

Amazing experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is perfect with great views of the harbour. The food was incredible, full of flavour and beautifully plated. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole night feel effortless. Definitely one of the best dining experiences in Sydney.

I’d been looking forward to dining here for ages, and let me tell you… it surpassed every expectation the moment I walked in. The service? Spot on… twice over. And honestly, just looking around and realising you’re actually seated inside the Opera House? AMAZING. We went all out… extras, cocktails, the whole experience. I ordered this gorgeous pink cocktail… I can’t remember the exact name, something with a cloud but it arrived like a little piece of art. Sweet, yes, but absolutely delicious. Truly, there wasn’t a single fault. Not one. The only microscopic thing I could even mention is that I would’ve added a touch more salt to the butter for the bread… and that’s me really searching. Everything was warm, thoughtful, perfectly executed. Divine, down to the last detail. Because we had a later booking, we ended up being some of the last guests there… and the staff surprised us with a VIP tour of the private fenced off deck they use for New Year’s. They even played photographer, taking a whole collection of photos of us in different corners of the restaurant. It was the perfect ending to a flawless evening. 10/10.

We loved the location, but the inside was extremely noisy. The food was tasty but not great. The chocolate grain dessert was too rich I could only eat a single bite and the pavlova was extremely sweet, as was the passionfruit sauce. The potato side was dry, and the fioretti was undercooked. I do, however, recommend the beef fillet with the black pearl mushrooms and truffle mushroom purée.

What a lovely spot for a Sunday afternoon drink and snack at the bar. The bar is a great perch for people watching across the restaurant and over towards Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge for a great outlook of wonderful Sydney. Service was very personable, drinks top notch and the snacks were delicious. We couldn't decide if the prawn toast (full of chopped prawn) or the wagyu bresaola panisse was our favourite, so had to reorder. The panisse won out as it was such a different, tasty, light and elegant snack - yum!

The location of the restaurant is unparalleled being on the forecourt of the Opera House and with stupendous views through its extraordinary windows. Access is a little tricky as you need to enter the Opera House to find the dedicated restaurant entrance. The roofless lift is fun! Once you enter you are blown away by the superb architecture and soaring windows. Staff are wonderful and helpful. Bathrooms outside the restaurant in the foyer. The food is great. It is not cheap by any means and perhaps even overpriced but you are paying for an experience and it one you won’t get anywhere else. Great range of food and the cellar is broad and of high quality. A lovely experience for a special occasion.
G M — Google review
The service was outstanding, attentive, and warm, which really elevated the experience. On the food side, however, there were some disappointments. The mud crab noodle, while beautifully presented, unfortunately contained shells, which took away from the enjoyment. Staff were apologetic and comped a free wine. Pieces of the potato salad also arrived undercooked and was quite raw in texture. Overall, this is a venue worth visiting for the views and exceptional service, though I hope the kitchen can refine some of the dishes to match the quality and price of everything else.

Chinese restaurant
New Shanghai Westfield Sydney is a convenient dining spot located beneath the Westfield shopping center. The restaurant boasts a 1930s Shanghainese street-style ambiance and offers an authentic Chinese menu featuring dishes from the Shanghai region. Visitors can enjoy a selection of steamed or pan-fried dumplings, as well as other generous servings of traditional Chinese cuisine. The spacious restaurant provides quick service, making it an ideal choice for a satisfying lunch during the workweek.
The food at New Shanghai is delicious. My personal favourite dish is the prawn wontons with peanut sauce. I also enjoyed the pork dumplings. Additionally, we order the honey chicken, which was a chef's special. It was a bit sticky for my liking. Nonetheless, it tasted great. There are also some amazing drinks on offer such as the green tea with passionfruit and the chrysanthemum tea.
Anushka — Google review
Noticed this restaurant quite a few times while at Westfield, and finally decided to give it a try. I really really loved the prawn dumplings, it was so good. Will definitely visit again. We also tried crispy chicken fried rice (generous portion) and pork buns(freshly made). I found the food quite authentic personally.

Got crab meat xiao long bao, pot stickers and jellyfish with turnips. I love xiao long bao the most. Pot stickers doesn’t look like I want it to look like with the dumplings connecting to each other and the wrapper was thick. Jellyfish and turnip was better dipped in the sauce.
My N — Google review
It's good but you're mainly paying for the Westfield Rent. The Shanghai noodles are nice but it came with maybe 20 grams of meat and two little bits of vegetable. The crab meat xiao long bao had crab meat in it but you wouldn't taste it. If you look carefully you can see a few bits of Frozen crab meat in there. The drunken chicken was a little overcooked and tough. The food was better at the World Square store
Valent L — Google review
Cosy atmosphere. The xiao long bao were juicy and flavorful, and the spring rolls were deep fried perfectly. The service could be improved though. Overall a nice place to dine in.
Moon — Google review
The xiaolongbaos were decent, veggie dumplings were okay, but the noodles were horrible. There was absolutely no flavor and it was super bland as if we were just eating plain noodles. We felt sick after our meal. The lanterns up top are also super dusty and staff were rude - throwing a straw onto our table without placing a tissue underneath for the drink.
Riya P — Google review
Tried this place for the 1st time on 3rd Nov. For 2 persons, we ordered the xiao long bao, calamari with salted egg and the yangzhou fried rice. A bit too much but 2 dishes would probably not be enough. Really enjoyed the fried rice and dumplings. The calamari pieces were quite chunky and oily. Very nice at the beginning but the oiliness caused the indifference curve to go down rather quickly. But overall did enjoy this 1st experience.
George T — Google review
The food was nice, suitable for a working day lunch, very efficient. We ordered some classic Shanghai dishes, they presented well. Just the Pan Fried Dumplings confused me a bit, looked like they cooked them in a rush, and didn’t look like the way I know it should be. But all the dishes we picked tasted good. A little suggestion for the service, please be patient and gentle, speak slower won’t hurt. Other things are all bearable, so if you want to try it out, choose the food you are familiar with or ask the staffs to give you some advice.

Hamburger restaurant
Bar Luca is a trendy and stylish space with comfortable leather booths, a wooden floor, and a terrace. The restaurant offers creative burgers and drinks. While the original CBD location is known for some of the best burgers in Sydney, its spinoffs BL Burgers and Loaded by BL also offer delicious beef creations as well as fried chicken options like southern tenders, fried chicken wings in various sauces, and the popular BL Chicken burger.
We went to try their special burger from last week, the butter chicken burger and it was amazing. We didn’t expect to be that good, the chicken was so crispy and the sauce was so well made. The mix all together give you an incredible hamburger, I wish they have it on their menu all the time !

Burgers are great! Very busy. Staff tries hard to accomodate, but system needs to be more organized. We were sat on 2 different seats to accomodate and were told to be out by a certain time. Which was fair. But other patrons with no bookings who came later, didnt have to move. No biggie, just wouldve been nice not to have moved. Burgers were solid! Great to experience them. Drinks were great too! Staff were also very nice throughout.

This is definitely a popular bar restaurant in the area, and I can attest to the validity of all the good reviews. Ordered the Burger Special of the week, and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion and great taste! The fried chicken patty was thick, crispy on the outside, and perfectly juicy inside. Also added $3 for the slaw, and that portion was equally surprising, in a good way! The staff are chill and attentive, which adds to the great vibe. Given the quality, I think the price is very reasonable, especially considering it’s located right in the CBD.

On my second night in Sydney, I researched burger establishments and this one was open later than most and had excellent reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The burger was delicious and you can customise every element, adding your preferred toppings above the standard ingredients. You can also order your chips separately and the portion was really generous. Sadly the chips took a hit before I remembered to take a photo! They come with a really nice marinate!

Generally a pretty pleasant experience food came out fast, drinks were cold, bartenders were knowledgeable. But some of the food could have the portion size a little bit larger such as the chicken that doesn't quite fit the bun, a personal pet peeve. But big kudos on super creative menu creations such as the Gucci jang sandwich and the tandoori loaded fries. Definitely enjoyable, relatively Fair prices, it hits the mark for largely what you expect

This place is much bigger than I thought. It’s got a pretty cool vibe. We had no reservation but they got us a table in the back right away. We ordered some dishes from the weekly special menu. The Prince of Darkness was huge. There were loaded with bacon, beef patty and a chicken wing on top. It was delicious. I also had Loaded Fries. They were scrumptious, especially with laksa sauce. You should def try it! The Mac n cheese hit the spot on a rainy day as well. The Oreo milkshake was ok as it’s got a lot of whipped cream, not a lot of milkshake. Overall, our experience was great.

What i ordered: - Blame canada, it was just okay, the fries side was good but need more seasonings - the fried chicken special really not worth it at all. The chicken just so so so dry, and the whole burger need more sauce. I do enjoy the mozzarella stick in the middle tho, that was surprisingly gooooddd

Fratelli Fresh is a modern Italian restaurant that beautifully captures the essence of traditional Italian dining, reminiscent of family meals shared over wine and lively conversation. With its casually elegant ambiance, this eatery offers a delightful array of seasonal dishes and handmade pasta. The Darling Harbour location stands out as a vibrant dining emporium featuring communal tables and various stalls serving everything from woodfired pizzas to refreshing cocktails.
Came here for our 6 years anniversary during our honeymoon in Sydney. The place is packed with customers. It was super loud too. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere then this is the place for you. The food was delicious. First time eating a seafood spaghetti where it was slightly spicy. 👍

They do a nice pasta and decent pizza, but the they charge fine dining prices but don't deliver on the same level of service. Our waiter didn't tell us about the specials until we find it on the website and asked about it. He had no idea we could settle our book simply by paying with Qantas Frequent Flyer points. First of i was told I had to pay in full before claiming it back on points. Then I was told the Qantas app want working so I couldn't pay with it. A second ipad magically appeared when I insisted it should work but then I was overcharged when I paid using a Qantas Frequent Flyer points. I emailed Fratelli Fresh customer service an hour later with a screenshot of points deducted and a copy of my tax invoice but never got any response back. Terrible customer service and exorbitant prices. Stay away! They do good pasta but it's not worth the your trouble. Very disappointing to think they are even connect to the rockpool group who I've previously had great experiences with.

Delicious food and a great option when we didn't want food hall food while with our two small children. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great. The gnocchi and pizzas were delicious, hubs loved the calamari. One Star off as we thought pricing was a little high.
Tiffany V — Google review
I had the calamari, tortellini and pizza. Very nice tortellini, though couldn't really taste the mushroom. The medium rare steak was too rare and the fat wasn't rendered. The area deep inside is not well ventilated, so my hair and clothes smell like oil. It was difficult (as was the case in the Westfield one) to get the waitress's attention.

The zucchini flower was soggy and disappointing. The polenta was flavourless. The pizza was good. The atmosphere is pretty good. Overall an average experience.

Huge space located underground in the CBD! We had a lunch over there. The food came pretty fast considering there were large groups ordering the same time. The quality of food was great and the flavours on all dishes were perfect.

We came here for the first time and had heard good reviews on all Fratelli Fresh chains from various friends. We ordered: 1. Glass of Pinot Nero 2. The Prawn & Garlic Pizza 3. Crab Spaghettini 4. Vanilla Pannacotta 5. Tirasmisu We enjoyed every single item that we ordered. The Prawn & Garlic Pizza was very tasty and fresh. Big balls of cherry tomatoes and onions which added sweetness to the pizza and good little chunks of prawns were to be seen too. Our fave was the Crab Spaghettini. It was evident that they were quite generous with the amount of crab spread throughout the pasta and it was just beautiful in its flavour and presentation. Definitely keen for this again! I loved my Vanilla Pannacotta. It had the perfect wobble and creaminess to it and paired beautifully with the passionfruit sauce and apricots. The Tiramisu is a very generous serve! My husband struggled to finish it! He said it was probably one of the best Tiramisus he’s ever had! So impressed with our meal that I signed up for the rewards program. You get this cute little key ring with “Fratelli Fresh” on it! The only downside was that there were a lot of people there so it was a little loud and hard to carry a conversation. It’s a good sign though that they were so packed. The bathrooms are also very quirky, combining a big space with mens’ and womens’ cubicles once you walk in and the hand basins are communal and shared. There’s also a private dining room for those who wish to have a private function. It’s a funky restored old space. Will be back for sure.

Darling Harbour is a vibrant waterfront destination in Sydney, offering a plethora of attractions and hosting large-scale events. Spanning 20 hectares, it serves as the gateway to various tourist hotspots including SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, IMAX theatre, Australian National Maritime Museum, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, and the Chinese Garden of Friendship.
Nice to good for a ferry ride, a boat ride and walk along this harbour. You can see the famous opera house, and the beautiful scene and feel the vibes of Sydney. The fireworks will be easily seen from the area and that marks a memorable time to be there with you loved ones.

Even on a cloudy day, Darling Harbour has a special charm. The grey skies seemed to soften the light over the water, giving the whole area a calm, peaceful feel. The reflections on the harbour looked almost silver, and the gentle breeze made it a perfect day for a slow walk along the waterfront. Cafés were cozy and welcoming, ideal for grabbing a warm coffee and sitting by the window to enjoy the view. The atmosphere was relaxed, with locals and tourists alike taking in the scenery and street performances. The mix of boats, water, and city skyline gives the place such a unique energy, even without the sunshine. Whether you’re after a quiet coffee, a nice meal by the water, or just a scenic stroll, Darling Harbour is beautiful in any weather. The cloudy sky only added a touch of serenity to the experience.

A modern waterfront location of bars and restaurants we went along for the Spring evening drone show over the harbour. It was jammed packed with people doing exactly the same which just added to the vibe. A great 15 minute show set to music. We went back a day later via a ferry to enjoy the vista by daylight. Yet another fab Sydney place.

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is a must-visit aquatic attraction in Sydney, offering five distinct habitat exhibitions showcasing Australia's marine life. Conveniently located near Circular Quay, it provides easy access for visitors. The aquarium houses a diverse range of ocean creatures and offers educational sessions on animal feeding and more. It's an ideal family-friendly activity that allows you to explore the rich underwater world of Australia's aquatic animals.
SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is an amazing experience and a must-visit in the city! The variety of marine life is incredible – from playful penguins and graceful rays to the impressive sharks swimming right above you in the tunnel. The exhibits are beautifully set up, and you really feel like you’re exploring the underwater world. It’s a fantastic spot for families, couples, or even solo visits. The penguin boat ride is a unique highlight, and the jellyfish displays are absolutely stunning. Everything is well maintained, and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend adding this to your Sydney itinerary – it’s both fun and educational!

The aquarium is big and full of amazing marine life. It’s right next to Wild Life and Madame Tussauds, so you can easily visit all three in one morning. I recommend going early to enjoy everything without rushing. I got my tickets online with a great deal — one pass for the Aquarium, the Zoo, and the Tower Eye. Such a magical place for kids! 🐠🐧✨

Really loved this aquarium. Easy to buy tickets online (and can save when bundling with collocated attractions). Highlight was the Dugong (unique to Indo-west Pacific). But the "ride" thru the penguins was fantastic (and unique among ALL the aquariums we have visited). Located on Darling Harbour, it's a wonderful "touristy" area in central Sydney. It was an easy 30 minute walk from our hotel near Hyde Park. Very friendly for wheelchairs and strollers to boot. Highly recommend!!!

I had an absolutely incredible time at SEA LIFE Sydney! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was magical — the lighting, the ocean sounds, and the stunning underwater tunnels made me feel like I was truly part of the marine world. The variety of sea creatures was impressive — from playful penguins and graceful rays to the majestic sharks gliding right above you. The Great Barrier Reef exhibit was especially breathtaking, with its vibrant corals and colourful tropical fish. What really stood out was how well-maintained and educational the place is. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to share interesting facts about the animals. It’s clear they genuinely care about conservation and marine life. The penguin encounter and the glass tunnel were unforgettable highlights — perfect for both kids and adults! I left feeling inspired and in awe of how beautiful and fragile our oceans are. Highly recommend SEA LIFE Sydney to anyone visiting the city — it’s worth every moment.

Sea life Sydney was a wonderful experience.I have been to other Aquariums in different cities but this one is the best so far. We have purchased tickets same day and there was hardly any waiting time. Tickets are slightly cheaper if purchased online day before. Best part was watching penguins. Boat ride to penguins was very very short. Time should be extended for that. Not able to watch them properly while we were in boat. Very well built with clear directions.

After a sunny walk along Darling Harbour, I stepped into SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium — and instantly, the city’s buzz gave way to the calm rhythm of the ocean. Inside, I wandered through glowing tunnels surrounded by schools of fish, graceful rays, and sleek sharks gliding just overhead. The coral displays shimmered with colour, while the penguins brought a touch of playful charm to the experience. What struck me most was how beautifully the aquarium captures Australia’s marine diversity — from the vibrant Great Barrier Reef to the mysterious Southern Ocean. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, immersive, and surprisingly peaceful. Whether you’re a curious traveller or simply seeking a moment of wonder, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is a captivating reminder of the life that thrives beneath Australia’s waves.

This was our second time visiting this year and the children still have a great time. Their favourite area is definitely the shark tunnels. The touch pool is fun but unfortunately it is quite deep in some areas so children struggle to touch some things without potentially getting wet. But we found gaps along the touch pool to find creatures who were up a bit higher but it is a little bit of a wait to find a spot. I takes about 1 hour to 3 hours to go through, depending on how long you look at everything and if you stop to read information about each sea creature.
Natalie T — Google review
The aquarium is a great place to visit with your kids. It's home to a diverse range of animals, and the penguin exhibit is definitely the highlight. Be sure to check the schedule in advance so you can catch the penguin tour. Unfortunately, we missed it when we arrived, but it's still a wonderful place to explore with kids, families, or friends. I really enjoyed it.

The ground floor has a food court with restaurants featuring different international styles. Inside the market, you can find fresh produce, souvenir stalls, and various small shops. Upstairs, there’s also a supermarket and a food court. Most of the souvenirs are made in China and sold at very cheap prices. However, food items here tend to be more expensive compared to other supermarkets.

World Square is a bustling indoor/outdoor shopping center that offers a wide range of international dining options and popular clothing stores all in one convenient location. The precinct features casual international restaurants, popular clothing stores like Calvin Klein Jeans, Forever New, and Superdry, as well as shoe shops like Nine West. World Square in Sydney’s CBD is a really good urban space that offers a nice balance between convenience, comfort, and energy. One of the things I enjoy most about it is the outdoor plaza area. It’s well-designed and has a spacious, open feel despite being surrounded by tall buildings. The lighting in the patio area is particularly pleasant—soft and inviting in the evenings, making it an ideal place to sit and relax after a day in the city. The lighting display in the plaza also adds a touch of atmosphere that’s especially enjoyable for families. It creates a sense of playfulness and wonder that kids really seem to love, and it makes the space feel safe and engaging after dark. There’s enough room for children to move around while parents can sit nearby with a coffee or a bite to eat. There’s a good range of shops and food options within World Square, catering to a mix of quick snacks, sit-down meals, and everyday essentials. It’s easy to access from different parts of the city, and the layout makes it convenient to navigate without feeling overwhelmed by crowds. Overall, it’s a well-thought-out public space that functions not just as a shopping destination, but as a community-friendly gathering point. It’s a place I find myself returning to often, whether for a casual meal, to meet up with friends, or just to enjoy a bit of open-air calm in the middle of the city

It's always crowded. There are obviously lots of store and food court. (Somehow, there is always a construction nearby as well) Despite the crowd and loud noise, you still can find a spot to simply rest, wait for a friend, or enjoy your meal

It's a big mall. You can shop a lot. You'll find Coles, so many cafes, pharmacies, etc. We can shop for food here. And also we can find many options to eat like rice bowls, subway, juices, cupcakes, deserts, etc. We can shop for groceries in Coles.

The Queen Victoria Building, a historic shopping center in Sydney's CBD, is a stunning example of Romanesque architecture designed by George McRae. Built in the late 19th century, it now houses over 175 modern stores including renowned brands like Tiffany and Ralph Lauren alongside charming tea rooms, florists, and jewelry stores. The building's grand arches, pillars, and stained-glass windows reflect the artistry of its craftsmen from a bygone era.
The Queen Victoria Building is a masterpiece of architecture. This building is immaculately well kept. There are multiple floors of shops and food establishments. From the beautiful stained glass to the old elevators it's a sight to see. It really is a testament to how much there care about the building when you see how clean and well kept it is. If you're in the area stop in , shop, eat and take in its beauty.

The QVB is truly one of the most beautiful shopping centres in the world. Beyond the endless high-end shops and excellent eateries spread across its multiple floors, the building itself is a spectacular example of Romanesque Revival architecture. It's a wonderful place to walk and soak up history. And speaking of history: the famous mystery letter from Queen Elizabeth II is a real-life time capsule and won't be opened until 2085. The instructions for the letter are on display, leaving visitors to wonder what message the late Queen left for the future citizens of Sydney.

Exquisite building that blew us away. A mix of mid-high retail shops and cute cafes with good coffee and light bites to eat. The architecture is beautiful and the vibe is exciting and classy.

Queen Victoria Building (QVB) is a great shopping spot with stunning old-fashioned architecture. The interior design is elegant and full of character, though the layout can be a bit confusing at first. It’s a lovely place to walk around, explore the stores, and take beautiful photos Perfect for anyone who enjoys history and style.

What an amazing store, lots of ornate points of interest, stained glass windows, spiral staircase, fancy fretwork, banisters, and a dome of epic proportions. Grill'd World Square is a great place to get a burger and sliders, with low-carb options available. The staff are always on hand to help, and the restaurant has great food and great prices.
I’m from the states, but when I was here years ago, this was my favorite spot to grab a burger. Coming back that hasn’t changed. Their chicken isn’t my favorite, but their burgers and sweet potato fries are insanely good. Get the sweet potato fries with their chipotle mayo. Their toasted buns for the sandwiches are delicious. You can’t really go wrong here from the food to the service.

Grill’d at World Square is a great spot for a delicious and satisfying burger. Tried the Wagyu Beef, Chicken, and Truffle burgers—loved them all! The patties were juicy and flavorful, and the buns were soft yet held everything together perfectly. The fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors made every bite enjoyable. Service was friendly, and the casual, relaxed vibe made it a great place to grab a meal. Definitely worth a visit for a quality burger fix!

Awesome burgers & onion rings + service with a smile. Music could be a bit loud due to the hip atmosphere !
PM K — Google review
The gluten-free bun on my Simply Grill’d burger was the worst I’ve had at Grill’d. Normally the GF bun is soft and holds together, but this time (5th September 2025) it was toasted so hard and dry that it became crisp, broke apart, and completely ruined the burger. The problem is clear: the bun was over-toasted. Gluten-free buns cannot handle that treatment — they dry out and fall apart. The chefs working on 5th September 2025 need to read this feedback so they understand how serious the issue was and can improve next time. Also, I never asked for herbed mayo, and they included herbed mayo in my burger. These are simple mistakes that can be avoided, if taken the time to pay attention and read this feedback for improvement.

Great little Grill’d. I ordered to collect twice and they only missed one sauce in my order. The rest of the order was hot and delicious. I’ll definitely pick up like this from now on as it was about $20 cheaper than Uber Eats and actually still hot.

Absolutely, here's a detailed 500-word Google Maps review for Grill'd World Square: Grill'd World Square is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of the bustling city. My recent visit to this establishment was nothing short of extraordinary, an experience that elevated my expectations of what a burger joint could deliver. Let's start with the star of the show—the burger. Words fall short in describing the sheer delight that awaited me upon my first bite. The bun boasted a perfect balance; crispy to the touch yet yielding effortlessly to reveal the treasure within. As for the burger itself, it was a culinary masterpiece. Juicy, succulent, and bursting with flavors that danced harmoniously on my palate. The texture was impeccable, each ingredient adding its own note to create a symphony of taste that left me craving more. What truly set this burger apart were the distinctive elements—eggs and turnips. These unexpected additions brought a unique twist to the classic burger. The eggs, cooked to perfection, added a creamy richness that complemented the savory elements flawlessly. The turnips, a delightful surprise, provided a subtle yet distinct flavor profile that tantalized my taste buds. Truly, this combination was a testament to culinary innovation. Now, let's talk about the service. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly by the staff. Their hospitality was exceptional, creating an inviting and pleasant atmosphere. The service was prompt, efficient, and delivered with genuine smiles. Not only did they ensure that every request was met with enthusiasm, but they also provided valuable insights into the menu, guiding me to discover hidden gems like the unique burger I indulged in. The ambiance of Grill'd World Square is another aspect worth applauding. The interior exudes a modern yet cozy vibe, a perfect setting for a casual dining experience. The attention to detail in decor and layout enhances the overall dining pleasure. The ambiance strikes a balance between a vibrant, lively atmosphere and a relaxed setting, making it an ideal spot for gatherings or a solo indulgence. Moreover, the attention to cleanliness and hygiene is commendable. The restaurant maintained impeccable standards, which added to the overall comfort and satisfaction of the dining experience. In conclusion, Grill'd World Square is more than just a burger joint—it's an epitome of culinary excellence. The burger, with its perfect blend of flavors and innovative ingredients, is an absolute delight for the taste buds. The service is exceptional, and the ambiance creates an inviting space that beckons you to savor every moment. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this establishment is a must-visit for anyone seeking a gastronomic adventure that transcends expectations.

The staff here are so attentive and friendly, really going out of their way to make sure you have an amazing experience at this location. Super helpful, and you could tell that they were passionate about their jobs! I got one of the vegetarian burgers (forgot the name), and it was delicious! The chips were nicely herbed and salted, which is a nice difference from what you usually get around! The chips were a small size, which is more than enough for one person!

Restaurant
Ho Jiak Haymarket is a Malaysian restaurant that lives up to its name, offering a menu inspired by the street food the head chef grew up cooking with his amah. The signature dish, char kway teow, has had various iterations over the years and is recommended by Masterchef alumni Reynold Poernomo. The Indomee goreng and laksa are also highly praised.
I had such a wonderful experience dining at Ho Jiak! The flavours were bold, authentic, and brought back memories of Malaysia. Every dish was cooked to perfection!! Especially the Sarawak Black & White Pepper Crab which was full of depth and spice. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true Malaysian street food experience in Sydney!

Very underwhelming and frustrating experience. From the second we walked in with an unopened drink in hand from another location, the staff were absolutely fixated on it and kept telling us about their “no outside drinks” policy. Even when we told them that we weren’t going to drink it, they still kept harping on about it. At one point, our waiter even touched our drink to hide it behind a menu!! Seriously!? How rude and unprofessional, not mention unhygienic!! What do they think is going to happen if other people see it on the table? The food is mediocre and overpriced. Overall a major disappointment. Go somewhere else. There are many other better places within a few minutes walk.

This place exceeded my expectations. I ordered the beef rendang stuffed roti $19, Hainan chicken laksa $27. Both dishes were delicious. Great flavors, good portions, reasonable prices, great service. Queued for about 5 minutes on a Sunday night. Medium sized restaurant, they have a ground and upper level. My only complaint is that it's pretty warm inside, I don't think there's air conditioning

Absolutely loved my dining experience at Ho Jiak Haymarket! Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The black truffle crab was definitely the highlight — rich, aromatic, and incredibly satisfying. The other dishes, from the truffle eggplant to the stir-fried greens, were all delicious and thoughtfully seasoned.

Usually the long queue scares me off, but on a Sunday night we walked straight in — no wait! Came with my bro and we ordered 4–5 dishes, finished every single one. Flavors were bold and varied, and I love that you can adjust the spice level — super friendly touch. First time trying Malaysian food with my bro and we were pleasantly surprised. My fave was the noodles, reminded me so much of home.

Black Star Pastry, established in 2008, has gained fame for creating the world's most Instagrammed cake - the Strawberry Watermelon Cake. This visually stunning dessert features layers of almond dacquoise, watermelon slices, and a topping of strawberries, grapes, and rose petals. The pastry shop has expanded to multiple locations in Sydney as well as in Victoria and Shanghai.
When in Sydney you have to give this place a try for their watermelon cake. This was the most Insta cake in the world and I actually thought that this would be so hyped up. But the cake was actually better than expected. The store is just a small store front and if you want to dine in it’s either on the opposite benches or go downstairs in the food court to eat your beloved sweets. The Cake itself is not too sweet and the it looks as decedent as it does with taste. There is a nice balance of flavours that in it. Definitely with the hype 👍🏽

Great pastry. The best is still the watermelon cake. Zen cheesecake is a bit too sweet. The prices are on the high side.

Black Star Pastry at Sydney CBD is dessert heaven. We tried their signature Strawberry Watermelon Cake—layers of almond dacquoise, fresh watermelon, rose cream, and strawberries topped with pistachios and rose petals. Light, fragrant, and stunning. Drinks were equally memorable: Iced Strawberry Watermelon Latte, fruity and refreshing, and Matcha Pistachio Chocolate Cloud, a bold matcha latte crowned with creamy chocolate and roasted kataifi. For cakes, Chocolate Oasis Cake impressed with rich chocolate and pistachio crunch, while BSZ Single delivered nutty, chocolatey layers in a petite size. Beautiful presentation, quick service, and flavours that live up to the hype—a must-visit for the best desserts in Sydney. #blackstarpastry #sydneycbd #dessertinsydney #strawberrywatermelon #matchapistachiochocolatecloud #chocolateoasiscake #bszsingle #strawberrywatermelonlatte #genastar

The strawberry watermelon cake is not just a hype, it's really really good. The raspberry lychee cake is good too, but after tasting the watermelon cake, it's not in the same league. This is a take out only shop. Highly recommended 👌 👍🏻 👏 💯 🙌

The cakes taste delicious with a creative twist and are not overly sweet. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The space is a bit small, more suitable for take-away. The minimalist black-and-white design looks nice, but it’s not very eye-catching, so the place can be a little hard to find

Got to try the place where 🍉🍰 started ~🤩 It is inside the shopping centre. 🍉🍰 is a must to try! As we had a flight to catch, so only got a small piece to share, along with a long black. Love the store architecture design, the packaging for the cakes and drinks are also adorable. No dine in, sat at a table in the shopping centre and ate the cake, so fresh and yummy! 😋

Good bye my favourite watermelon cake!!! The taste of Watermelon Cake is now much worse. The first time I ate it, it was amazing. Today's cake was just okay or bad. Couldn’t finished it…actually. I'm sad and probably won't buy it again. If you changed the recipe to save money, I would happily pay a higher price for the old recipe. Please change it back to the original!

Fine dining restaurant
Tetsuya's Restaurant in Sydney is a renowned Michelin-starred dining establishment that offers a unique fusion of traditional Japanese cuisine with a French influence. The restaurant, owned and operated by Chef Tetsuya Wakuda, is housed in a beautifully refurbished heritage-listed building overlooking a picturesque Japanese garden.
I’ve been to this place at least three times and the quality of food has always been too good for words. The ingredients used are always fresh, the style of cooking is a marriage between Japanese and French cuisine. The service is great - all the staff encountered from the entrance are polite and entertaining to say the least. Each and every food item is presented well with healthy level of info about where the ingredients came from, and how each item was prepared. In one of my visits, we went for the wine-pairing option, and although it was really good, that was a bit too much alcohol for my small body frame. In one of my visits, both my cousin and I were celebrating our milestone birthdays, and Tetsuya’s gave each one of us a selection of free desserts. I’d like to go back again one day.
Celeste S — Google review
We first dined here >15 years ago and held fond memories so decided to come back one more time before the establishment closes for good. The food tastes just as good as it did all those years ago - with the ocean trout their signature dish. The restaurant was absolutely packed out on a weeknight due to everyone wanting to try/return one last time so service was a little rushed. We didn’t mind it too much as the first time from memory it took 4-5 hours to dine and way too much time between each dish but the second time around it only took 3 hours. The 8 course degustation is priced at $320pp without wine pairing but where you get caught out is $20 tea $20 water $25 parking $15 oysters etc so our total bill was way more than $320pp. Is it exorbitant pricing in this climate of high living costs? Yes but twice in 15 years is okay for quality food. The end of an era… we will miss it.
Nin R — Google review
The oysters were great, as were the salad of scampi/uni/caviar. The ocean trout lived up to the hype, but unfortunately the dining experience as a whole did not. Every other dish didn't feel refined and the Australian wine pairings felt hit-and-miss. The menu and wine pairings both need a desperate dose of inspiration and direction. Hopefully these come along with the new location.
Jonathan W — Google review
One of the most disappointing dining experiences I've encountered so far, and my best friend shares the same opinion. The staff was excellent; we received a warm welcome at the entrance and had great service from the wait staff throughout our lunch. However, the food did not meet the expected standard given the price we paid. Having dined at various other establishments, we could draw comparisons with different dishes. Upon visiting Google to write a review, I noticed numerous 5 star reviews for the food, which has left me perplexed. Am I being too discerning... The tastes were either dull or a combination of too many flavors that did not complement each other. The only redeeming thing on the menu was the additional $120 caviar and bread with truffle butter, which was delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant; there are certainly better options within the same price range and for less.
Krystal Z — Google review
As soon as you walk in, you know you're going to have a great night. The service is the best I have had around the world. Their drink mixing of cocktails has been dialed into a fine out. The mix of flavors is spot on. The food was to diefor everything was cooked perfectly and very well presented on the plate like fine artwork. Great laid out tables for conversation. This place is selling an experience, not just great food.

I had an amazing fine dining experience. The food and cocktails were tantalizing & exquisite. My favourite dish was the Ocean trout! It literally melted in my mouth! Tasted amazing! So fresh and mouth watering ❤️ I think I enjoyed the seafood dishes more than the meat/dessert dishes, but I love my seafood more than anything. I loved the oysters also!!! (They were add-ons) and the caviar was to die for! 🤤 I also love my desserts but unfortunately the desserts didn’t capture my heart this time. The dessert presentations were amazing! My favourite dessert would be the chocolate stone, so smooth and velvety 😍 Very pleasant and light to eat. The customer service was exceptional. They were super friendly & attentive. And they also checked if there was any dietary requirement, so they could cater to our needs!! They definitely looked after us through the whole dining experience.
Misspiggyexplores — Google review
Loved this place! The staff are amazing. I also loved the restaurants timeless interior that overlooked the Japanese style garden - so classy. Some dishes that were a highlight for me were the oysters, the tuna, and the abalone. That truffle butter served with the bread is awesome as well! Surprisingly, I wasn't a big fan of the famous ocean trout dish, presentation was gorgeous though.

Managed to get a booking at Tetsuya before they moved locations. Really enjoyed the beautiful garden view. The food was very well presented and a delightful experience for the taste buds. The sitting was a little longer than we'd hoped (3.5hrs) with a bit too much time between each course. The service was friendly but it did feel a little not genuine. But overall, it was a decent experience and I'm glad we got to try it.

Nestled along the picturesque Sydney Harbour, Taronga Zoo is a must-visit destination for animal lovers and adventure seekers alike. Home to over 350 distinct species, this vibrant zoo offers an immersive experience that connects visitors with wildlife in a stunning natural setting. Accessible via a scenic ferry ride from the city center, it provides breathtaking views of iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
An absolutely wonderful place and what a view! So many animals to look at and they all seem very healthy and well looked after. There's loads of viewing areas for each enclosure and space for everyone. We visited on a busy school holiday day and there was enough room for all. I love the fact that there are lots of zoo workers around to help or answer questions. The ticket price is well worth it. Well done Taronga Zoo.

I visited Taronga Zoo today with my big family, and it was my second time there. This is definitely one of the must-do experiences in Sydney. The vibes were amazing! We went around midday, which isn’t really the ideal time to visit. If you want to see the animals more active and relaxed, it’s better to go either in the morning or later in the afternoon. That way, you’ll have a better chance of spotting most of them — including the lions. We did manage to see the lion, but only for a short while. The seal show was absolutely amazing — you can’t afford to miss it! The energy, tricks, and connection between the trainers and seals were so fun to watch. My kids absolutely loved it — from the animals to the shows, they were excited the whole time. It’s such a great place for families to spend the day together. It was so much fun overall — from boarding the ferry to the very last moment. I missed taking the cable car on the way back, which I really recommend because it offers stunning views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House. Such a great experience — can’t wait to go again!

Beautiful zoo, very well maintained and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of walking areas and shaded promenades. The full visit, including the shows, takes around 4 to 5 hours. My advice: arrive early in the morning when the animals (especially the koalas) are most active. The views are absolutely stunning — overlooking the entire Sydney skyline, the Opera House, and Harbour Bridge. Staff are super friendly and helpful. A must-do for anyone visiting Sydney or looking for a great day escape!

Fantastic zoo, really well built and easy to navigate. The enclosures are all really well done and the animals look very happy and healthy. The food market was great and plenty of water stations around. I was surprised that the zoo didn't have any elephants but the seals did make up for it. We were lucky to catch the seal show which was brilliant. All in all a great day out.

I’m visiting from California. It’s a beautiful zoo. Public transportation made it easy to get there. I was there on Saturday, October 3, 2025, about 30 minutes after it opened. I bought my tickets online as suggested at their gate. I didn’t wait in line and took the shuttle up. You can start at the bottom if you want. The Zoo is hilly but there are a lot of ramps for wheelchair access or strollers. Great place to take your family or do a solo trip. Also, there are water fountains and bathrooms everywhere. Photos are taken using the iPhone 17 pro max. Some photos are using the 8x zoom. I’m not a professional photographer.

I had an amazing time at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney! Definitely best to go for a full day to get the most out of it. The ferry across from Circular Quay was beautiful with great views of the opera house on the way (roughly 15 minute ferry transfer) Once we arrived there was a slight wait for the bus to travel up to the entrance - you can walk up but it’s a fair distance to the top and I found it was nice to work you way down the zoo from the top to the bottom. Lots of animals to see and experiences with close encounters. Only downside really was the food which was a bit average but not terrible all things considered.
Gianni P — Google review
Beautiful. Fun to get to via the ferries and direct bus service are convenient. Staff at the hut where Zoo members/friends go for free entry could be nicer, staff inside are wonderful, had a young lad help us to seats at a packed bird show. Cute restuarant (wish we had lunch there), the food court, where we had lunch unfortunetly, had overflowing bins and zero trays to carry your food. The Zoo itself is very hilly and takes a good full day to see and experience everything.
Kathryn D — Google review
Came here a while back and can I just say, this was one of the most fun times I've had 'til this day. Having my mates obviously helped but just having a walk through the different enclosures with the variety of animals I didn't even know existed, truly cemented that visit into my memories. And the quality of life, accessible toilets, great food and drinks that weren't too far, and easy to read signs and maps to know where you even are.

The highlight though was the Cerith Wyn Evan’s exhibition: it was utterly good! Full of mirrors, neon lights, plants and so on and on. Probably the artwork that I like the most was the “wall” with the Japanese writing. Everything was exceptional. Recommended

The building and space is beautiful. It’s a shame for a city as big as Sydney the art does not compare any where near to Melbourne or Brisbane contemporary art galleries. On top of that it’s very sad you have to pay 16 for a student and more for general public. It took me 10 minutes to go through the space. Top level was sold to me as a space for sculpture all I saw was a large spoon mangled stuck on a wall. If you would like to take photos of the harbour for $16 please go. Don’t even bother to have a look at the art. Art should be free for all to see and enjoy. The more sophisticated a society is the more they value art. Art is a base for all design, complex pattern recognition, maths and more.

Visited for the Cerith Wyn Evans exhibition. Great location near Circular Quays station with spectacular views of the Sydney harbour and Opera house from the open rooftop. There is a cafe and bar on the rooftop. Loved the exhibition displays. The museum has 4 floors with displays spread across. There is a museum shop on the ground floor.

Here is an absolute gem! I visited in May and was amazed that such stunning contemporary artworks could be enjoyed for free—it made the experience even more special and heartwarming. The thought-provoking exhibitions and immersive installations left a lasting impression. I already can’t wait to return whenever the museum hosts new exhibitions! The MCA’s commitment to accessibility and innovative curation makes it a must-visit for both locals and travelers. Highly recommended!

Nice little museum well organised but it's size is quite small and the art displayed at the time did not really connect with me. The rooftop is stunning.

Recently attended a corporate event here and cannot recommend highly enough! Friendly, attentive service with excellent catering by The Big Group and of course those iconic views! Thank you to the team for a very special night we’ll always remember!

Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Sydney, Mrs Macquarie's Chair is a stunning sandstone bench that dates back to 1810. Carved by convicts for Elizabeth Macquarie, the wife of New South Wales' Governor, this iconic spot offers breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour. Today, it stands as one of the city's most beloved landmarks and an ideal location for capturing memorable photographs featuring the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Incredible spot for sunset views over Sydney Harbour — perfect view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. A must-visit for peaceful vibes and amazing photos!
Kishore S — Google review
One of the best view point of Sydney to see panoramic view of all iconic location in one place. Surrounded by beautiful trees and green park, good for family and kids to stay and join special time together. Ample space for car park.
Niyom K — Google review
Really lovely place for a walk. The park is huge with plenty of open space and nice, scenic paths that are calm and peaceful. It never feels too busy, which makes it perfect if you’re looking to relax and enjoy nature. There’s loads of parking available right nearby, so it’s easy to get in and out without hassle. A great spot to clear your head, go for a stroll, or just spend time outdoors. Definitely worth a visit!
Steward W — Google review
As suggested, this is one of the best place to see sunset with Sydney icons in the frame: the Opera House and Bridge. Around this time a lot of people wandering around, chilling out or taking photos. It is close to Botanic Garden so can end up sitting here relaxing at the end of the trip before leaving. This is also popular place among photographers with great frame: both sunset, blue hours or night long exposure.
Khanh T — Google review
Beautiful place in the corner of the Botanic Gardens. Easy to find and once there you get some breathtaking views. Great day out for the family.

Best place for visitors where you can see harbour bridge opera house boats and beautiful sea view with less crowd and natural environment of park plenty of parking available also best place for wedding photoshoot and family gathering. No restaurants around only one cafe is there bit expensive other than that best place for visit.

Walking along the river in the garden to Mrs.Macquarie’s Chair was my best experience in Sydney. The scenery was amazingly spectacular overlooking the Harbor Bridge, Sydney Opera House and the Rock. The gardens were so pretty and peaceful.
Prisana — Google review
The chair itself is actually a little hidden away around the corner, so it's recommended to enjoy a better view closer to the edge facing the Opera House.

Japanese restaurant
Saké Restaurant & Bar The Rocks offers a modern Japanese dining experience with a diverse selection of sake, cocktails, and banquet menus. Located in the historic suburb of The Rocks, the restaurant features an extensive sake collection and creative fusion dishes crafted by head chef Shaun Presland. Guests can enjoy a variety of sushi, sashimi, and innovative cocktails in a rustic chic dining room.
A truly top-tier Japanese experience in Sydney. Expensive, yes—but absolutely worth it for the highest quality Japanese food we've had in Sydney. The service was excellent, the atmosphere cosy and inviting, and the food was simply outstanding. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts—they were a surprising standout! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

Japanese French Fusion style and delicious .. whatever we ordered were so good! So happy with our choices .. We picked the never heard menu .. and turned up to be so great Also the dessert, the dragon egg as well as the pear pie were also our fave Plan to go back there in the next few days, before i leave to fly back home to Indonesia The ambiance of the restaurant was a bit too dark for me ... but actually once we sat down on our table, the lighting was good for reading the menu seeing the food as well as to take the food's pictures .. well done on the interior lighting

Saké Restaurant & Bar delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic—perfect for a special night out. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, setting a high bar for the rest of the meal. For mains, we had the beef tenderloin and lobster—both were cooked to perfection, rich, buttery, and packed with flavour. Service was truly impeccable—friendly, attentive, and professional without being intrusive. Every staff member made us feel well taken care of. Highly recommend for anyone looking for elevated Japanese dining in a stunning setting. Would absolutely return.

We visited this restaurant after seeing all the great reviews. The food was very good. If you like raw seafood and the like you would love what’s on the menu. We ordered the chefs tasting menu for a birthday and it was tasty! We were not a huge fan of the lemon meringue shard dessert but everything else was a hit. My personal favourite was the miso toothfish! Our Wagyu strip loin dish was a bit inconsistent, one was more chewy in texture than the other. Service was okay but nothing that stands out, it fell a bit short considering this is considered a fine dining restaurant. Staff seemed to be very busy today. Atmosphere was okay. We sat at the table with the view of the kitchen. It is very busy here with lots of people walking past and orders being called. The ambience could have been better. Overall not a bad experience! Would recommend trying at least once!
Siobhan Z — Google review
Very nice food and amazing service. We ordered a couple cocktails, Edamame, Oysters, Shui Mai, Wagyu Beef Tartare, Wagyu Sushi Roll, Popcorn shrimp, Rangers Valley Wagyu Sriploin, side of Brussel Sprouts, the daily special which was a mussel crisp sort of canape and The dragon egg dessert. Shui Mai was nice and hot with a super soft centre but I would order something different next time. Wagyu Beef Sushi Roll was very shopping centre Sushi Roll quality and I wouldn't order it again. Everything else was top notch. The Brussel sprouts were amazing in the kimchi sauce and honestly the best veg I've had and the steak was perfectly tasty and tender with awesome side sauce. Popcorn shrimp were crispy with beautiful yuzu mayo sauce and very good serving size. The oysters, fresh and delicious. The mussel crisp special was so delicious and one of my favourite bites of the day. Beef tartare was smoky, super soft and perfectly balanced in flavour. Dragon Egg is one of my favourite desserts ever. On to the next one!
Steven K — Google review
Love the food and the atmosphere here — such a nice spot to celebrate. Most of the dishes were so good and full of flavour. However, the regular sushi rolls and karaage chicken weren’t really to my taste, but everything else was excellent!
Tahnee N — Google review
This year for my birthday, my boyfriend surprised me with a visit to Saké Restaurant — and wow, it definitely didn’t disappoint! From the beautiful ambience to the attentive service, everything felt like a trip back to Japan, but with a modern twist that gives Saké its own unique charm. The kingfish and oysters were definite highlights for my boyfriend and he couldn’t stop raving about their freshness and quality. For me, nothing beats the kingfish sushi. I honestly couldn’t get enough! And for dessert, I went with the Dragon Egg. Beautifully presented, rich, creamy, and bursting with flavour, it’s the kind of dessert you can only experience at Saké. I’d go back just for that alone! To top it all off, the team surprised me with a little birthday cake and candle, without me even asking. It’s such a thoughtful touch that made the night even more special. We were served by Martina, who was absolutely lovely. Her service was exceptional from start to finish. A truly memorable dining experience — perfect for special occasions or simply treating yourself to something amazing.

Amazing experience! Highly recommend sashimi (melts in your mouth), oysters, popcorn prawns and the house salad made our night! Everything was incredibly fresh and high quality. Honestly reckon it’s better than Nobu! Rated 4 stars for food as the sushi roll was a let down.

Restaurant
Event venue
Brasserie 1930 is the signature restaurant located in the luxurious Capella Sydney, housed in a lavishly refurbished former Department of Education building. The high-ceilinged room exudes glamour with its marble, leather, timber, and art-filled decor. Co-founded by Bentley Group's Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt, the restaurant seamlessly adapts to its opulent surroundings.
Nestled within a stunning hotel, Brasserie 1930 boasts a decor and ambiance that are nothing short of sublime—a perfect blend of elegance and charm. Having visited this incredible establishment four times in the past six weeks, I can confidently say that it consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. My most recent visit was for lunch on Thursday, December 19, 2024. To my surprise, former Prime Minister Tony Abbott was dining just a few tables away, adding an unexpected touch of intrigue to the afternoon. As for the food, it is simply phenomenal. Over my visits, I have savored the melt-in-your-mouth lamb shoulder, the perfectly grilled chicken with its juicy tenderness, the prawn and chili pasta that delivers a delightful kick with its harmonious blend of flavors, and the ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with robust, savory notes. Each dish was artfully prepared, offering a symphony of textures and flavors that left me craving more. The wine list is equally impressive, featuring an extensive and thoughtfully curated selection of exquisite options. With a diverse array of vintages and varietals, there’s something to suit every palate. The wines are vibrant, refined, and pair beautifully with the dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience. Brasserie 1930 is a true culinary gem, and I’ll undoubtedly be back again. It’s a place that embodies excellence, making it a must-visit destination for any food and wine lover.

Gorgeous place. We came for lunch. Service is good - could be a bit more attentive and not so hierarchical as there are so manage managers around but they wait for the staff to attend rather than themselves! Food is delicious. Fresh, flavoursome and just perfect. It is on the pricier side but worth it

Celebrated our anniversary here, We had excellent service from beginning to end. Chef was able to provide many options for my dairy/soy/egg intolerance. Very impressed with the overall quality and taste of the meal’s. The raw tuna in blackberry was my favourite. Ambience was lovely, the hotel itself was lovely to walk through. Friendly and helpful staff

We absolutely loved our experience at Brasserie 1930 last night. Their new spring menu is outstanding – the duck is hands down the best in town. Service is truly at the level of a luxury hotel: attentive, thoughtful, and full of those little details that make our evening special. The team was so friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that’s perfect for my catching up with friends without feeling crowded or rushed. We were celebrating a friend’s promotion, and to our delight, the staff surprised us with a small gesture of congratulations chocolate that made the night even more memorable. Wonderful food, impeccable service, and an ambience that balances elegance with comfort – highly recommended and cannot wait to be back.

Found a great spot for a nice evening out. The food is generous, reasonably priced, and served without any rush or crowding. Drinks are excellent, and the atmosphere makes it perfect for date nights, family catch-ups, or even with kids. Wasn’t expecting much after a long day conference. But was pleasantly surprised, great service! I didn’t catch her name, but blonde server who hosted the door at 5:00 pm: awesome. The chook was splendid! $120 for 1 main, 1 side, 1 desert and a glass of Riesling.

Takeout Restaurant
Harry's Café de Wheels in Woolloomooloo, Sydney is a storied counter-service chain that has been serving up beef and veggie pies with mash or peas for nearly eight decades. This iconic pie cart, located near the Finger Wharf and Fleet Base East of Garden Island Navy Base, is a popular spot for locals, tourists, and even celebrities to grab a quick bite after a night out.
As tourists, we felt like we were part of something classic and timeless. The pie options are good especially loved the curry chicken pie. The portions are nice too for the price. The tiger pie is a classic and the gravy was so good. The lime thick shake was to die for. The food truck itself had good seating around it and the decor of it felt good with the history reflected on it. It’s right next to the harbour and has benches too so the view is nice while you eat. The seagulls are polite, patient and frankly adorable so we weren’t bothered by them. Overall, it was fast, tasty and affordable. What more can you ask for?
Jashvina G — Google review
I was walking by Harry’s Café de Wheels and it immediately caught my attention with its classic, old-school look and vibrant atmosphere. I had heard about this place before but seeing it in person made me want to stop and check it out. The location is amazing, right by the waterfront in Woolloomooloo, with a really authentic Sydney feel. I decided to try their famous Tiger Pie, and honestly, it was even better than I expected. The pie itself was packed with flavor, and the combination of the creamy mashed potatoes, mushy peas, and rich gravy on top was absolutely perfect. Every bite was comforting and delicious. You can really taste why this place has been around for so many decades — it’s simple, hearty food done right. The service was quick and friendly, and the whole vibe of Harry’s just made it a memorable experience. Whether you're a local or a tourist, it’s definitely a must-visit spot if you want a true taste of Sydney’s street food history. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area!

Located at Cowper Wharf Roadway, Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. This is the original Harry’s Cafe de Wheels. It’s served customers for over 80 years including many famous people like Elton John. I always like to come and grab something to eat or drink and look at the many great photos. It’s a classic look, shoebox shaped building. Very vibrant. It’s a very memorable experience to come. The pies and hot dogs have always been delicious. It’s pretty well known for the tiger pies with the mashed potato and mushy peas but it’s not my choice. My friends lived it though. It’s very centrally located directly across from Garden Island, you have a fantastic view of the navy’s ships and it’s just metres from Finger Wharf. The service has always been pretty friendly and quick. There’s no tables to sit at but there’s a few benches with stools. It’s not exactly the cheapest place but I think people come just to say they have eaten at Harry’s Cafe de Wheels, let alone the original one. I would recommend a visit. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍

The food they serve here doesn’t get old at all! Still yummy and delicious like always and recommend for people who never tried it before. The pie and hot dogs are made perfectly fine and taste delicious! Definitely will come back

Arrived in Sydney and the first eat is the Iconic Tiger Pie. Always been fascinated about this place since Anthony Bourdain visited in 2002 in his a Cook’s tour series. Although this place has existed a long time before (since 1945 in this exact spot). A lot of famous people have graced and eaten here and you can see by the photos surrounding the walls of this once food cart. Now to the pie itself. The gravy is good. The mushy peas goes well with the gravy and the pie is good. But not the best that I have ever eaten or blew me away. Let’s say i was content. The chips was good though. If you need to experience this place I would suggest to visit it as it is one of the foodie Mecca’s of Sydney.
Hospitality I — Google review
I stayed at a hotel near by. I’ve visited three times so far and I’ve prob tried most items on the pie menu and beyond. Tiger pie (smashed peas and gravy on top) was ok. I preferred my pie with smashed potatoes and gravy. We liked Original beef pie the most as it has more beef flavor and it’s with chunky beef not grounded beef. I also liked Steak and mushroom. The crusty was a bit doughy (not crunchy enough) for my taste though. The staff recognized us by now and he was very friendly. It’s a small food shack but there were some seats available. They opened both rain and shine and really hit the spot when we just arrived from the airport and it was downpour.

A local spot that was recommended by our Australian friend. Good pie options and feels like a very authentic Aussie experience. The chicken curry pie was a tad salty, but given that I’m not a big fan of pies, the taste was decent. The fries was the star of the meal. Good light dinner.

Cocktail bar
Franca Brasserie is an elegant Mediterranean restaurant located in Sydney. The brasserie offers a chic ambiance and an extensive bar menu featuring cocktails. Opened in 2019, Franca Brasserie stands out among the fine French restaurants on Macleay Street. The restaurant's coastal-inspired cuisine includes dishes like pickled octopus with ajo blanco and whole western rock lobster, as well as the popular Franca Wagyu Burger served during lunch.
Franca Brasserie is such a photogenic and elegant space ~ every corner is beautifully designed, especially the bathrooms which have a stylish and unique flair. It’s the kind of place where you’ll want to snap a few photos before you even sit down. Beyond the aesthetic, the service is truly impressive. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely interested in how we felt about each dish. They listened carefully to our feedback and you can tell they really care about continuously refining their culinary offerings. It’s rare to find a restaurant that balances sophistication with such down-to-earth charm. A lovely experience from start to finish — highly recommended!

Franca served some delicious modern Australian. Our food was tasty, fresh and high quality. The steak was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The pacing of the meal was a little slow, with a 45 minute wait between our first, second and third courses and a very short gap before dessert, despite the fact we were the only people in there. Otherwise, our service was friendly and attentive all round. The dining room is beautiful and provides a pleasant atmosphere to catch up with friends.

Seafood market
Sydney Fish Market is a beloved institution among locals and a world-famous seafood destination. It's the second-largest seafood market globally in terms of variety, offering some of the freshest seafood in Sydney. The market features shops for seafood, deli items, wine, and baked goods, as well as casual cafes and restaurants serving fresh oysters and fish and chips.
must-visit for seafood lovers. 🦞🐟 The variety is incredible — from fresh oysters, lobsters, prawns, and sushi to cooked dishes like fish & chips. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced for the quality. It can get very busy, especially around lunch, but the lively atmosphere adds to the experience. Seating is available inside and outside, with a nice view of the water. Perfect place to enjoy fresh seafood in Sydney!
Alberrich — Google review
Arrived at 3.20pm and it seems like most stalls are already washing up and closing, no more cooking of seafood. Had a quick look and the seafood is indeed fresh and of high quality, however, the prices are on the high side as you can expect of a tourist spot. Got a quick bite for $5 but didn’t managed to catch anything else as it was already near closing time. Would still recommend a visit if you are in the vicinity and enjoys seafood, you choose the items, they cook for you.
Tong T — Google review
The entrance is free, do not believe what’s on Google review that says $95 on ticket section. Got plenty of good food from Multiple food vendors. Many varieties of fish, prawn and crab that you can cook at home, lots of choices but if you want to eat in the market just be careful with the seagulls, those birds love to steal people’s food but thankfully they never snach mine. What I don’t like about this market is when so many Chinese tourists come here, they don’t know the basic manner like standing on the queue or just saying “excuse me & sorry”.
Thomas C — Google review
Great spot for super fresh seafood! There’s an awesome range and the prices are pretty decent for what you get. The vibes are great and it’s the perfect place to hang out on a sunny day. Only downside is the area’s not that big and seating can be a bit limited, so we had to wait for a table. Most of it’s outdoors too, so please watch out for the seagulls!!! Really glad they’re upgrading the place though and can’t wait to see the new look!

Had an awesome time at Sydney Fish Market! The seafood was super fresh and tasty — loved the oysters, salmon, scallops, and prawns. The crab legs were amazing too! Great portions, lively vibe, and that fresh coconut drink was the perfect finish. Definitely a must-visit for seafood lovers in Sydney! 🦪🦐🐟🍋

Visited Sydney Fish Market in Pyrmont, and it’s easily one of Sydney’s best food destinations. The variety of seafood is amazing — fresh sashimi, grilled lobster, oysters, sushi, and more, all caught that day. You can grab your food and enjoy it outside with a beautiful harbor view. The market is bustling but clean, with a fun, lively energy. Whether you’re after a quick bite, a seafood feast, or just want to experience Sydney’s food culture, this is the perfect place. Come hungry and you’ll leave happy.
Masaki K — Google review
Located at Cnr Pyrmont Bridge Road & Bank Street, Pyrmont, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 These markets have been around for decades so obviously they are a lot dated. There’s a huge selection of seafood 🍤 🐟🐠 to choose from, both cooked and uncooked. Everything on offer is incredibly fresh. There’s plenty of tables to sit and eat your purchase. Be warned, if you sit outside, the birds can be a hindrance. They will try to pinch your food. There’s wonderful views over the water and especially the new fish market being built just a stone throw away. You have a bird’s eye view. These are coming along nicely and are due to open next year. They look huge and can’t wait to visit when it’s completed. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s cheaper to get your seafood from here but it’s certainly fresh. Parking 🅿️ is on a first come, first serve basis and can fill up very quickly and the market is incredibly popular. There’s an amazing selection of seafood on offer, everything you can imagine along with fruit/vegetables and alcohol. Would definitely recommend a visit. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍

It features an array of interactive and educational exhibitions that cover Australia's naval history and the science of the sea. Visitors can explore real Navy ships, including the HMB Endeavour replica, immerse themselves in a submarine experience, and participate in Kids on Deck workshops. The museum also hosts engaging short-term exhibitions on various topics such as pirates, sea monsters, and wildlife photography.
One of the more enjoyable museums to visit in Australia because it’s not only “just ships”. That said the ships and the submarine are a very unique experience, super informative and engaging. I mean it’s a massive submarine and battleship! The wildlife photographer of the year gallery which is at the museum annually is such a fantastic exhibition too + currently they have James Cameron’s submarine exhibition there too which is equally an interesting feature to see. The volunteers are very helpful and informative about all of the features especially on the ships

The Australian National Maritime Museum is a wonderful place to explore and learn. It offers a rich and interactive experience, especially if you're curious about Australia’s maritime history, naval heritage, and ocean exploration. The exhibits are well-organized, informative, and suitable for all ages. From historic ships to submarines and modern maritime stories, there’s a lot to see and engage with. It’s not just about reading — there are hands-on displays and real vessels you can board, which makes it feel immersive and exciting. I found it to be both educational and enjoyable — a great spot to visit whether you’re a local, a student, or a tourist. It’s a museum that makes learning feel fun and meaningful.

The Australian National Maritime Museum is an impressive and visually stunning place, especially for anyone interested in the sea, exploration, and naval history. The exhibits feature a wealth of fascinating items—from ship models and maritime artifacts to incredible National Geographic award-winning photographs that bring the ocean’s beauty and mysteries to life. One of the standout experiences is being able to board historic warships and explore their interiors. Walking through the decks and cabins really gives you a sense of what life at sea was like, making the visit immersive and memorable. The museum does a great job of combining education with hands-on experiences, which makes it suitable for both adults and families. That said, the ticket prices are on the higher side. While the collection and interactive experiences are excellent, the cost feels a bit steep compared to other museums in Sydney. Overall, though, it’s a fascinating destination for maritime enthusiasts and history lovers—just be prepared for the higher entry fee.

What a great way to spend a few hours!!! Love the submarine, huge respect for the crews that spend 3 months in one!! The Vampire was incredibly impressive - just a massive treat to be able to visit these ships 🛳️ museum itself was also very interesting! Such a great visit!⭐️⭐️

The Australian National Maritime Museum is a truly engaging experience. The exhibitions are beautifully curated, blending history, culture, and real-life stories from the sea. Exploring the ships was a highlight — it feels like stepping into the past. Such a unique experience. The museum is spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for a day of exploration. I recommend buying tickets online. And be on time as the museum closes at 4

The Australian National Maritime Museum is already incredible from the outside, and I can only imagine how amazing it is inside. I didn’t buy a ticket, but just walking past the outdoor displays of ships and boats was really cool. The exhibits outside are fascinating and definitely worth checking out, perfect for maritime enthusiasts and photo opportunities!

We booked the Terrace Room at the Australian National Maritime Museum for our wedding reception and had an amazing time. When we first requested a quote for booking the space, Jasmine responded promptly and provided enough information to make a decision on whether to pursue it further. We arranged a site visit which helped us see the potential for the space. Throughout the planning process, Jasmine and Alexandra were patient and thorough in providing responses. Whenever I sent e-mails asking numerous questions, they would methodically go through and answer every question, which made the process feel a lot easier. They were also flexible and accommodating to any bespoke requests. On our wedding day, the Terrace room was set up well ahead of time, which gave us ample opportunity to add the finishing touches. Although we had a running sheet for meal times etc., Alexandra (who lead the team on the day) understood our intentions and priorities from the planning process and adapted accordingly. I am glad that I was able to eat every course of food that was served at my wedding, especially since it was all so delicious! When booking the venue, it was made clear that catering would be provided by the catering partner (which was Sydney Restaurant Group at the time of our wedding). I'm glad it was set because I might not have found them otherwise. The food served tasted as good as it looked, and it was consistent with what we were served at the tasting session during planning. My personal highlights were the heirloom tomato tart and the beef cheek. Since our wedding was held on a Saturday, we had the added bonus of being able to view the drone show that was being trialled (in place of the usual fireworks which also would have been great). It was easy for our guests to step out from the private balcony to get a good view. This added a special touch to the day with no additional cost to us. I would definitely recommend the Australian National Maritime Museum as a venue for a wedding reception, especially since it is so close to the Pyrmont Registry for a no-fuss ceremony.

Science museum
Located in Sydney, the Powerhouse Ultimo is a museum that showcases state-of-the-art exhibitions on futurology, transport, and ecology. Established in 1879, it has evolved to engage with contemporary technologies and industries such as science and sustainable technologies. Housed in the former power station for Sydney's original tram network, this cavernous science and design museum offers a wide range of collections and temporary exhibitions covering topics from robots to climate change.
It's amazing display of a museum. So many things to see from its different eras of products. There are four levels of buildings to see. Don't worry, they provide escalators and lifts! Toilets and shop including cafe (try their orange cake!) To visit this museum by bus 501 from Central or just walk from Chinatown (paddy's market). Note : come now before they will renovate it on next February. Free of charge.

We visited the Power house Museum last January , we just walked from one museum to another. No entrance fee . Highly recommended when visiting Sydney. It has memorable artifacts from Australian railroads space travel and many more. Lots of interesting displays.

We visited the Powerhouse Museum (Darling) on January 2, 2024. Because Sydney is a very walkable city, we walked there after we finished visiting another museum. This one in Darling is near Chinatown / Paddy Haymarket. The cost was free which made it even better! The museum was amazing. I loved the various exhibits with a focus on steam engines. It was fascinating how the use of steam powered so many things from a printing press, to a fire engine. They also had various instruments on exhibit as well. We met a wonderful employee that provided in-depth information. If you love technology from the past, you must visit! I also encourage anyone with children to visit too. They had a cool exhibit for the kids.

Stumbled across this museum on a walk. I had great fun exploring it. There are tonnes of interesting exhibits, including trains, fashion, furniture, planes, science, space, and music. It is a great place to bring children. Entry is free. The museum is fully disability accessible. There are accessible toilets. There are wheelchairs for hire, but these are limited, so it is best to call in advance.

Update- museum is closing down for an upgrade. Many of the exhibitions are gone currently. Managed to explore within an hour. Looking forward to when they reopen with everything Previous review Awesome museum where you can easily speaks 2-4 hours here. I throughly enjoyed the steam train section and the old train station board. Little ones enjoyed the interactive side to the museum. They had a bast. Best of to prepare some food and water.

Was here for the Gucci Garden Archetypes exhibition, and definitely appreciated all the hard work being put into the event. Very well thought through, very Instagrammable, and most importantly it was free. Too bad we didn't have time to roam around the many other parts of this large museum, but chanced upon some other interesting looking spaces for sure.

Great day out with kids. There are lots of interesting displays and some interactive aspects plus the size of the venue makes a first time visit even more a discovery adventure with new things to see around every corner. Quite easy to spend most of a day here and the cafe upstairs served nice lunch also a good spot for a quiet break. Very pleased to have the opportunity to see the Apollo 11 displays and the steam engines running.
Jeremy D — Google review
There are some great sections, and then there are some not so much. Kids may enjoy the exhibits on space and old trams, trains. Entry is free, and there are school tours often here. Guidance on exhibits can be better, and a map with the recommended path can help. A nice experience for may be 2 hours. Interactive sections on science, space, and old steam engines will keep kids happy.

Nature & Parks
The Chinese Garden of Friendship is a serene walled garden in Sydney, located near Darling Harbour. It was gifted to Australia by the city of Guangzhou as a symbol of friendship between the two countries. The garden features pavilions, ponds, waterfalls, and exotic plants inspired by classical Guangzhou gardens. Despite its smaller size compared to other green spaces in the city, it offers a unique charm and tranquil atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.
The Chinese Garden of Friendship was the most beautiful garden I have ever had the pleasure of exploring. The photos truly do not do justice to the beauty and serenity of the garden. Before I knew it, I had already spent over 3 hours just wandering along the paths and losing myself amongst the plants and gorgeous architecture. I can't wait to come back again, and again, and again. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Lovely garden, very tranquil and relaxing with several small waterfalls. Around the paths there are many different types of flowers and trees, some ducks, turtles, dragonfly, koi fish and lots of lizards. That would be 5/5. However at exactly 4:29 a staff walked up and said that they were closing in 3 minutes. I noted the time and rushed through the final area and took a few more photos, he came up and said "Well get a move on" so I checked the time, it hasn't even been 1 minute. So I'm reducing a star for not telling us they close early, no reason given, and rushing us out in less time than he said. This happened on Saturday 27 Sept 2025.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. An abundance of plants with Information signs about them. Pavilions to sit in and relax, ponder. A pavilion for dining is there and I highly recommend it. The food is extremely tasty.

Absolutely gorgeous gardens. So much to see, I spent hours in there walking around and finding all kinds of hidden little spots to view. A great place to have a picnic as there are little areas with seating to sit back and enjoy and listen to the sounds. I can't believe that it is surrounded by the city. It's so peaceful and beautiful.

It’s a beautiful hidden oasis from the city. I’ve been coming here since the I was a kid in the 90s living interstate. Being dragged along by my parents and relatives. Now I’m back dragging my own kid through the garden. It’s as beautiful and as calming as I remembered it. Well worth the visit.

the smell of all of the trees and the sound of the running water gave way to a truly tranquil experience. i loved finding all the stunning little nooks and crannies, filled with incredible bonsais and stone formations!! definitely worth the $12 entry fee (for adults).

The garden itself is beautiful, such a peaceful place in the middle of the city, and definitely worth a visit for the views and photo opportunities. I dressed up in a qipao to take some nice photos with my boyfriend, and honestly, it was so worth the effort, the setting is stunning. However, I felt a bit uncomfortable with the staff’s attitude. Because I dressed nicely, a staff member came over and questioned me, asking if it was for a special occasion like an engagement. Even when I explained it wasn’t, I felt judged and not taken at my word. I paid for entry like everyone else and just wanted to enjoy the space. I hope the garden continues to be a welcoming place for everyone, whether they come dressed up or not.

Biang Biang Noodles

Chinese noodle restaurant
Xian Biang Biang, located in Sydney's Chinatown and other parts of the city, offers a taste of northwestern Chinese cuisine with its signature dish, biang biang noodles. These thick hand-pulled noodles can be enjoyed with toppings like stewed pork or tomato and egg, but the classic choice is to have them coated in bright-red chili oil.
They have big servings, cheap eats and hand pulled chewy noodles conveniently located near Chinatown! I would highly recommend their Chinese Hamburgers (Rougamo). The food comes out fast so if there’s a line it goes pretty quick! Ordered - - Biang Biang Vegetable Salad ($6.8) - Rougamo Pastry Stuffed With Garlic Yabbies ($10): This one was my favourite! Full of flavour garlic and spice 👌🏻 - Rougamo Pastry Stuffed With Pork ($9): the pastry is so crispy and flaky 👍 - Beef Dumplings In Xi'an Style ($18): Tasty beef dumplings 👍 - Stir Fry Paomo With Beef ($19.80) 👍 - Noodle With Stewed Pork with Biang Biang Noodles ($16.8): I liked the chewy mochi like consistency of the bread cubes, nice flavour 👍 - Biang Biang Noodle Soup With Pork And Vinegar ($15.80): a lighter soup base and generous serving of hand pulled noodles

Popular spot for Biang Biang noodles, the staff are friendly and noodles delish! Thick chewy noodles I recommend the noodles topped with chilli, addicitively yum! Another favourite to try is the pastry filled buns! Filled with variety of meat, it is a dry filling with no sauce in a crispy pastry bun that is tasty to eat!

Oil-Spilled Noodles: This is the true taste of Shaanxi! Aromatic, not just spicy, chili oil poured over chewy, wide Biangbiang noodles. Incredibly fragrant and satisfying. · Tomato & Beef Noodles: A perfect non-spicy choice. Fresh tomatoes and savory beef create a rich sauce that coats every strand of flavor-packed noodles. · Rougamo: A must-try! Crispy, flaky flatbread stuffed with richly seasoned, tender braised pork. The juice soaks into the bun, making it irresistible. · Potato Patty: A classic combo. Shredded potato salad, spicy and tangy, is stuffed into a crispy steamed bun. Simple name, extraordinary taste.

Food was underwhelming. We had cold skin noodles and biang biang noodles with spicy lamb. Not only did they lack flavor, they were also too oily to my liking. All I could taste was the spice. Was disappointed with the minced lamb as the sauce. I was expecting pieces of meats. Though the noodles were chewy and springy enough to my liking.

This is an amazing spot for the bounciest and thickest handpulled noodles! Their noodles are super flavourful and the rougamos are perfectly flakey. Definitely for spice lovers!

I’ve been eating here for years, and it’s always been delicious! The oil-splash noodles, rice noodles, and roujiamo are all amazing!

We found this place after searching 'Best places to eat in Sydney' on Tiktok and thank you because the Biang Biang noodles are so good!!!! The solo beef soup is delicious, the soup was flavourful, and the beef was tender 😍 We also ordered extra meat to try the stewed pork, which was also yum!!! The lamb dumplings were good. However, I personally prefer a slightly thinner wrapper, and the soup they came in was a little to citrus tasting. So happy we came across this recommendation!!

Fan of Chinese food esp chilli oil but for the first time of my life, I don't like a chilli oil noodle soup. It was so lack of flavor and so spicy that I even had no idea which spice should be added to balance the taste. At least, me and my gf could finish the dry stewed pork noodle.

Chinese restaurant
Xi An Cuisine is a hidden gem in Chinatown, offering a variety of dishes from China's Shaanxi Province. The signature dish, biang biang noodles, attracts visitors who come to enjoy the wide ribbon-like noodles. Another popular item is the rou jia mo, also known as Chinese burgers. This no-frills eatery offers an extensive selection of dishes around $10 and is known for its authentic and affordable offerings.
The Mog Champ sends his regards. First time coming here for food and we all ordered some noodles. I had the soup noodles with pork and it was pretty good especially for the price! A very satisfying portion. The service was really quick as well, food came out within 5 mins all together. The tables could be setup a bit better, the outside seating was angled a little so it was a little bothersome when the table's legs weren't even as well. But it's what it is. The food was good and would recommend their dishes for an authentic Chinese taste! Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ

I was used to come here 7 years ago after a friend made me discover this place. So happy to find this gem again, the food is absolutely deliciously the best. I highly recommend and would be back again. The Liangpi made me so happy. Flavours are incredible.

Food was awesome, much better value for money than other skewer places in Sydney! The mild seasoning was awesome and had a good kick to it. Everything was good value and the staff looked happy to see and serve us despite being 10PM at night. Awesome experience, just struggled getting a clean table but not a huge issue!
Jarrod L — Google review
This was such a disappointing experience. Not only was the food ridiculously overpriced, but the portions were also tiny, and the taste was underwhelming at best. I had high hopes, but it left me feeling completely let down. Definitely not worth the money or the visit. Would never recommend this place to anyone. The possible reason is that a new owner took over, which led to a severe decline in food quality.
Frankie Z — Google review
What a hidden gem! A kind of hole in the wall place you’d easily walk past, Xi An Cuisine offers some authentic food that is not altered to suit western tastes. We ordered a selection of things to try like the spicy pigs ear, jellyfish with cucumber, marinated eggs and trotters. All were full of flavour. The cold noodles with chicken and sesame were a more delicate option, but the dish of the day was the lamb pita – a must try. The portions are generous and so cheap!
Amanda P — Google review
Humble restaurant in the heart of Haymarket. The outdoor seating faces the Paddy's market which makes it the perfect place to enjoy the vibrance of this suburb. Good Chinese food at a good price.
Clàudia T — Google review
Our favorite was the twice cooked pork belly with rice, so yummy! The cold noodles with sesame oil and chicken had subtle flavour which was enjoyable on its own. I wasn't super impressed with the pita with pork so might try the lamb next time. Overall, a flavourful meal with fast service! Seems to be also very popular with takeaway orders from locals in the area. P.S. accepts cash only
Frances C — Google review
This spot seems very authentic and I especially like their cold noodles and pitas. The cold noodles have a great sauce and the vegetables add crush and the gluten is a good vehicle for all the sauce. Cumin lamb pita is another favourite! Great spice/seasoning. I tried some other dishes a while ago (seaweed salad, knife cut noodles) but prefer to stick to the classics. The knife cut noodles where a bit too oily for my liking and weren’t as balanced and tangy as the cold noodles. However I have never been to China or Xi An so I can’t judge. Potato salad is very good too! Only cash or bank transfer! They get a lot of take-away orders so it can be a bit of a wait but nothing horrific. There may be a bit of a language barrier if you only speak English but hasn’t harmed my experience. Recommend!

Chicken restaurant
Belles Hot Chicken, which first opened its doors in Fitzroy, Melbourne in 2014, has made a delightful splash at Barangaroo with its vibrant pop-up. Now boasting three locations, including a charming spot at Circular Quay that artfully blends the essence of a classic chicken joint with an upscale dining experience. Here, you can savor mouthwatering fried chicken while soaking in stunning views of Sydney Harbour.
Located at 5/33 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 We had a great visit to Belles. The guy who served us (I think his name was Jordan), was so welcoming and patient with us. Answered all our questions with patience and politeness, very friendly. Our food and drinks were delicious, we had the wings and chicken sandwiches and sooo yummy 😋. In a very central location in Barangaroo, giving you a fantastic view over the water and able to people watch as you are eating. The prices are a little steep but I think that is to be expected, considering the location. Very easy to get to by ferry ⛴️ or train 🚆. A great place to come to for a great, quick meal while having a day out in Barangaroo. Would definitely recommend. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍

We chose the "Southern style" tenders with crinkle fries and they did not disappoint. perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. the fries were slightly cold but could be excused with the piping hot (temperature) chicken! the cherry cola was a great addition!

We got one of the combo's. The original nashville tenders were super juicy and sandwiches were awesome too. They have there own in house beer which was surprisingly good! Great location and atmosphere, perfect place to meet for an arvo lunch. We spent about $80 total for the 2 of us including drinks which I feel is very good value for the vicinity. Would definitely go again.

A great chicken joint! Spice is good but not unbearable, I'd say it's hottest is double a Nandos extra hot. Burger was nice, with everything mixed together well and the chicken well cooked. Chips were nothing special but the house lemonade was enjoyable.

Belle’s Hot Chicken has become one of our family’s absolute go-to spots whenever we’re in Downtown Sydney. The Fried Tenders are perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—consistently spot on every time. And the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich — Just the right amount of heat and flavour, easily one of the best in the city. Friendly service, and food that hits the spot—can’t ask for more. Highly recommended!

I was in town for City 2 Surf and staying in nearby Kent Street. Ordered some pick up take away for some carb loading. Super tasty burger and spectacular mac n cheese.
Normandy J — Google review
I found the burger to be alright, the chicken thigh piece was very juicy and I was very satisfied with the cook. HOWEVER, I found the seasoning on the chicken to be quite lackluster 😢 it looks very seasoned but personally I tasted not much seasoning at all. The same goes for the tenders and wing. My partner also said the same, so hopefully it’s not just me! The pickles are quite nice, the fries are a bit too cooked for my liking (they were extremely hard), and the bread tasted a bit weird but that’s probably because we left it to become soggy? Unsure if the bread came soggy. Overall, I wasn’t necessarily disappointed or happy from the experience. There are better chicken places to go to, I think Pappa Flock does everything here better. In my opinion, this place has a lot of potential as they just need to improve their seasoning. It would definitely enhance the experience if you added some more flavour 🙈 Edit: Thanks for responding! We had the Nashville Spicy burger (which wasn't spicy in my opinion) and we had the Nashville seasoned tenders. We mainly just tasted chicken and I don't think the seasoning came through.
Sani N — Google review
This had all of the works! The chicken was succulent and big. The bread was up to the job of holding it all together. I would have liked a bit more heat in the sauce but I did choose hot honey so shouldn’t have been surprised. It was still great. Great value also.

Fine dining restaurant
Oncore by Clare Smyth is the debut international restaurant of acclaimed British chef Clare Smyth, located at Crown Sydney. The menu reflects her Northern Irish roots and London restaurant, Core, with a focus on sustainable ingredients inspired by Sydney Harbour. Known for its sophisticated yet unpretentious style, the restaurant offers surprising dishes like the renowned 'Potato and Roe'. The level of service is exceptional, providing a unique dining experience complemented by jazz music and stunning views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
I came to Oncore for one specific reason, to declare a clear winner between Quay and Oncore as both restaurants are on the same level. It became apparent very quickly, that I could not as both are very different experiences in my eyes. The tasting menu at Oncore is as one would expect from a restaurant of this calibre - Amazing! Each dish was very well presented, like a work of art, cooked to perfection and extremely tasty and there was lots of it, you will not leave hungry. The restaurant itself is not big and offers an intimate experience, from being greeted at the front desk, to being introduced to the chefs as you walk past the kitchen to your luxuriously appointed table followed by a lovely champagne service . Ladies, yes your bag will get it own seat at the table. Service comes with a side of English wit and charm, whilst retaining the utmost professionalism and expert knowledge on the food being served and the Core brand itself. The wine list is also extensive and the Sommelier's knowledge and recommendations are second to none. In conclusion, if fine dining is your thing, you have to eat at Oncore. And......you still have to eat at Quay because as I mentioned earlier, there is no clear winner, both restaurants compliment each other in the Sydney fine dining scene.

We came here for Valentine's prix fix lunch last year. Everything is impeccable: service from "soup to nuts" is top notch and professional, the view from level 26 at Crown Sydney is amazing, and most of all the food... it's perfect. Every single course is nicely plated and it's a work of art, and the entire meal is well paced, not rushed at all, and tied together in a perfect harmony. Even the sourdough bread is one of the best we've ever had. Yes, it's quite pricey, but it is so worth it. Clare Smyth's Core restaurant in London garnered 3 Michelin stars. Had Australia expanded the Michelin Guide coverage to restaurants, there was no doubt Oncore would be the recipient of the coveted 3 stars as well.

This is easily the best fine dining experience in Sydney and I say that as someone who’s lived here my whole life and tried many of the city’s top restaurants. The service stands out from the moment you arrive. You enter through a private entry at Crown just for Oncore, and as you walk to your table, all the chefs welcome you, a warm, thoughtful touch I’ve never experienced anywhere else. Even small details impressed me: every time I got up to use the restroom, a staff member guided me there and back to my seat. It’s clear the team genuinely cares about their guests. For the evening, we went with the seasonal 7-course menu, featuring standout dishes like Western Australian marron, Port Phillip abalone, John Dory, Jerusalem artichoke, Tathra Place duck, Cuttaway Creek rhubarb, and finishing with a Lemonade parfait. Each course flowed beautifully into the next, showcasing not just incredible flavour but also impeccable technique. The chefs personally introduced the dishes, which made the experience feel even more intimate and special. I also appreciated how they tailored the menu to my needs, they swapped out all alcoholic elements for non-alcoholic options without compromising on taste or creativity. All up, the bill came to $900, which was well worth it considering the classy ambience, the flawless service and world-class food, Oncore delivers a dining experience that’s both remarkable and worth cherishing. Highly recommend for a special evening. Instagram @bhav.xo for more

Absolutely outstanding. The waiters went above and beyond with that perfect mix of warmth, attentiveness, and easy humour. They paced the night to our rhythm, shared thoughtful context on each course, and made our anniversary feel extra special without fuss or fanfare. We left feeling genuinely cared for. Food highlights: the signature Potato and Roe has officially ruined potatoes for me. Nothing will top it. The Murray cod with Sydney rock oyster and caviar was pristine and clean, the seasoning spot on. The Blackmore MB9+ short rib with oxtail and bone marrow melted in my mouth, rich and silky without feeling heavy. Every plate felt precise and purposeful, and the flavours built in a really satisfying arc. Cocktails were excellent. East Meets West was a crisp, refreshing opener. Wimbledon Fizz worked perfectly as a palate cleanser in the middle. Miles & Milo leaned a little heavier and made for a wonderful finisher. Each drink complemented the food rather than competing with it. From first greeting to last sip, everything felt thoughtful, generous, and memorable. If you are chasing a night that feels truly special, this is it.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my best friend’s birthday at Oncore, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the warm welcome at the entrance to the chefs’ kind greetings, everything felt special. The view was breathtaking, the weather perfect, and each dish a true work of art beautifully presented and full of depth and flavour. It’s easy to see why Oncore is regarded as one of Sydney’s finest.🫧 Grateful to the chefs for their artistry, the team for their impeccable service, and my friend for the invitation💗💗💗 I can’t wait to experience it all over again.

What a spectacular dining experience. From the kitchen stopping to wave hi when we arrived, to every single person we came across wishing us a happy anniversary, to the absolute theatre of each course, the perfectly matching wines, the gorgeous views & comfy dining chairs, and the most delicious, creative, sophisticated yet playful and beautifully plated food, Oncore by Clare Smyth is epicurean art, a celebration of taste, visual storytelling and culinary excellence. I’m so pleased our 20th wedding anniversary was celebrated in style at this magnificent restaurant.

The restaurant is located on the 26th floor and there is a dedicated entrance, not via the Crown lobby. I had the classic menu which included some small bites to start off, house made sourdough bread, five dishes, two desserts, and petit fours to finish. It was a great dining experience; you are greeted by all the chefs when you arrive at the restaurant; the interior and atmosphere feels nice for a quiet lunch and you get a full view of the Opera House and the Harbour bridge. Service was good; the staffs explains the ingredients as well as the inspiration behind each dish. All the dishes were beautifully presented and overall the course was very tasty; favourites were the small bites, the 'potato and roe' dish, and the refreshing 'pear and lemon balm' dessert.

Best culinary experience. The degustation was amazing with perfect wine pairings and the service was exceptional. Fine dining with phenomenal food, without the pretentiousness! May not be in everyone’s price point, but worth adding on that foodies bucket list! You can also opt for the snack & cocktail menu at the bar that still offers awesome inspiring views of the best harbour in the world ;) Would recommend.

We had a wonderful visit to the NSW Art Gallery. The story time in the children’s library was such a lovely experience, and the kids really enjoyed it. We also loved the interactive exhibits in the gallery, which made the visit engaging and fun for the whole family. A great place to spend time together.

This is definitely a must-visit museum and a perfect spot to check in when you’re in the area. The art exhibitions are beautiful, inspiring, and truly impressive. There’s also a great sense of history throughout the place, which makes the experience even more meaningful. It’s also an Instagram-worthy destination — the architecture, lighting, and layout all make for cool photo opportunities. The best part is that entry is completely free! The building itself is stunning from the outside, and everything inside is well-maintained. The air-conditioning is cool and comfortable, and the restrooms are clean and convenient. To get there, you’ll walk through a lovely park, full of greenery and peaceful vibes. The whole area feels calm and elegant — it almost made me feel like I was somewhere in England! Overall, it was such a wonderful experience — relaxing, inspiring, and absolutely worth a visit. Whether you love art, history, or just want a beautiful place to wander and take photos, this museum is a hidden gem you shouldn’t miss. 🎨✨

It was founded in 1872. It is the most important public gallery in Sydney and one of the largest in Australia. It's free entry to most of the exhibits except for special presentations. It's popular with locals and tourists. Toilets are available. Cafes and restaurants are in-house and outside nearby. Parking is difficult and advisable to use public transport. Most areas are level access.

If you haven't visited the Mike Hewson "The Key's Under The Mat" exhibition at The Art Gallery of NSW, you must . Great Fun for kids and adults especially on rainy days or extremely hot days. Bring your swimmers ( although no pools there are communication showers and a water feature to play under as well as a milk tank steam room and Scandinavian sauna as well as change rooms), a picnic and bbq items ( there is a communial BBQ bench with I think 4 BBQ on it you can use to cook your sausages and other protein on , there are lots of places to sit and eat and large sinks to wash up in), bring your laundry ( Yep there are working front loaders and a top loaders washing machines but mainly used to wash the towels in), there are lots of weird and wonderful kids books to read and even a few toys, there is a set of swings and a roller coaster track shaped monkey bar, also a DJ stage with background music playing and a makeshift hut which if you are lucky houses an artist in resident working, toilets are outside near the lifts of the Nelson Packer Tank where the exbition is, pram parking area near entrance exit of exhibition and if you forgot to pack a BBQ, picnic or snacks like I did because I was so unprepared - there is a small concession snack stall set up inside the exhibition with basic light snacks and drinks to purchase just like ones you would see near a beach or park. Highly recommended but try and go on a weekday as Saturdays can get busy from opening to closing hours. Spend the day there as there are other exhibitions to see and activities to do like the patchwork activity at one of the other current exhibitions on.

Catholic church
Saint Mary's Cathedral, a Gothic-style Catholic cathedral constructed from local sandstone between 1868 and 1928, is a magnificent structure that can accommodate up to 2,000 worshippers. Standing at 75 meters tall, it is the second largest church in Australia. The cathedral's timeless architecture and grandeur make it a popular tourist attraction. Inside, visitors can admire beautiful stained glass windows, an impressive organ, intricate wood carvings, and towering neo-Gothic arches.
I haven’t been inside Saint Mary’s Cathedral, but I pass by it often enough to appreciate its presence. It’s a striking building, standing tall and proud right in the heart of the city. The Gothic architecture is impressive, with those spires and detailed stonework catching the eye every time. Even just from outside, it feels like a quiet reminder of history and tradition amid the busy city streets. It’s one of those landmarks you don’t need to enter to respect. Just walking past, it adds a bit of calm and a connection to Sydney’s past.

Beautiful Cathedral smack bang in central Sydney. A very peaceful sanctuary where you are mesmerised by the architecture and it being Australia’s leading Cathedral it should be one of your bucket lists when visiting Sydney. Doesn’t matter what faith you have just go inside to experience the beauty and reflect on an old world charm that you can feel as soon as you step into the building.
Hospitality I — Google review
The Cathedral of St Mary in Sydney is one of the city’s most breathtaking landmarks, a masterpiece of Gothic Revival design that rises with elegance and grandeur at the heart of the city. From the outside, its twin sandstone spires soar into the sky, making it the tallest church in Australia and giving it a commanding presence on the edge of Hyde Park. The golden-hued sandstone, glowing in the morning sun or under evening lights, makes the cathedral feel both timeless and deeply rooted in Sydney’s identity. ✨ Architectural Grandeur The design of St Mary’s is inspired by the great cathedrals of Europe, yet it carries its own distinctly Australian character. The long nave, vaulted ceilings, pointed arches, and intricate stained-glass windows all speak to the Gothic tradition, but the use of local sandstone grounds the building in its landscape. Walking up to the cathedral, you’re struck by the symmetry and detail—flying buttresses, carved doorways, and decorative tracery that reveal the extraordinary craftsmanship of the builders. 🌈 Interior Beauty Inside, the atmosphere is just as moving. Light pours through the kaleidoscopic stained-glass windows, casting colorful reflections across the stone floor and pews. The soaring vaulted ceilings draw your eyes upward, evoking a sense of awe and contemplation. Each chapel and altar is carefully adorned, blending artistry and devotion in a way that makes the interior as much a gallery of sacred art as it is a place of worship. 🌍 A Cultural & Spiritual Landmark More than a religious building, St Mary’s Cathedral is a cultural icon. It has witnessed countless weddings, funerals, and national ceremonies, serving as a place of gathering, memory, and tradition for generations. Its design isn’t only beautiful—it embodies the aspirations of Sydney’s early Catholic community, who sought to create a spiritual home of international stature in a young and growing colony. 🌟 Why It’s Special What makes St Mary’s truly amazing is how it marries the grandeur of European Gothic cathedrals with the Australian landscape and light. It stands as a bridge between the old world and the new, a piece of living heritage that continues to inspire awe in both locals and visitors. Whether you admire it from across Hyde Park, marvel at its façade up close, or step inside to experience the glow of stained glass, the cathedral is a stunning reminder of how architecture can uplift the spirit.

Amazingly beautiful church. A lot of small chapels. The stained glasses were nothing short of amazing. Simply beautiful and amazing. A well maintained church. It is a pilgrim of hope centre.

This large cathedral in city centre is typically 19th century Gothic Revival architecture. It is golden coloured sandstone that has weathered externally. It is next to the popular Hyde Park and attracts several tourists, locals and worshippers. It's free to enter, though you're not strictly allowed to take photographs inside. Parking is difficult in this area, public transport is advised.

I happened to pass by this beautiful church and was drawn inside by its exquisitely carved architecture. At the time, a prayer service was taking place, and I took a seat in the front row, sincerely and earnestly listening to all the prayers. Although I am not a Catholic, I was deeply moved by everyone's devout prayers. In the end, the sound of the organ and the choir's singing was as celestial as it was beautiful; its resonance, filling the church, is a beauty that cannot be conveyed through speakers. I am truly thankful for this experience.

Huge museum. Very well laid out and sign posted for exhibits. We went for the lego Relics exhibition but took the opportunity to look around. There are a couple of cafés inside. (Staff in the shop told us there was only the one on the ground level). Apart from that, staff at the front counter were very friendly and professional.

A huge museum with numerous exhibits. The first section begins with the history of Australia and directly above it is a large collection of insects and animals. Other exhibits available include geology/minerals, further human history, as well as an expansive dinosaur exhibit that features numerous life like recreations of dinosaurs. Overall, incredibly informative and with numerous artifacts in each exhibit!

Had an enjoyable time at the museum. There were interactive elements to help engage the preschoolers which was a major plus point. Play area for younger kids was great too. Love that the place was filled with hand sanitisers and signs to reminder people to clean the hands! Best part - admission is free unless you plan to visit the special exhibits.

The museum is free to visit and there are so many specimens and relics you can watch. Based on this, I not only understand indigenous culture, history, and religion, but also appreciate several animals. I think this is a good place to visit and relax.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Australian Museum. It featured several fascinating themes, including natural photography exhibitions, dinosaur skeletons, fossils, habitat displays, and exhibits on Indigenous Australian cultures. There was also a powerful photography exhibition called "Unfinished Business," which highlighted ongoing social issues within Indigenous communities. As a dinosaur enthusiast, I was amazed by the many huge skeletal fossils. Seeing these skeletons up close and comparing them to human scale gives you a profound sense of their immense size. It makes you wonder what their lives were truly like when they roamed the Earth.

The Rocks Market is a lively open-air waterfront market held every weekend near Sydney's CBD. It transforms the historic cobblestone laneways into a vibrant display of talented chefs and artisans, offering a carefully curated collection of fashion, homewares, artworks, and gifts. Visitors can indulge in gourmet street food while enjoying live entertainment, supporting local makers and creatives.
It's a pleasant market and a lovely area for a stroll, even if you don't intend to purchase anything. The lively atmosphere and crowds are enjoyable. There are souvenirs, goods, drinks, snacks, handicrafts, and more. It's conveniently located within walking distance of Circular Quay. However, I believe it's only open Friday through Sunday.

Visited the market on weekend and love the vibes in this area. The are surprises at every corner and there are many restaurants, cafes and weekend stalls in the open area selling handmade jewellery and foods. The market is just a walking distance to the beautiful view of Sydney Bridge and Sydney Opera House. Recommended to visit.

The Rocks is one of Sydney’s most historic and vibrant areas. 🏙️✨ With cobblestone streets, heritage buildings, markets, pubs, and great views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, it’s the perfect place to explore on foot. The weekend markets are a highlight with unique local crafts and food stalls. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and bars that make the atmosphere lively day and night. A must-visit for history, culture, and great vibes in Sydney.

The Rocks Markets went all out for Halloween. There was definitely a few weird and wonderful stalls very specific for this occasion plus of course, the usual selection of food, trinkets and souvenirs. There’s something for everyone, great vibe when the weather is kind and a fabulous mix of Sydneysiders plus tourists. Make sure you check out the talented Ping Lian Yeak’s artwork.

Very busy during the public events. Vivid, Easter, Anzac Day, Christmas in July and even Halloween. The streets are jam-packed with people, good food and decorations during these periods. During normal weekends it is still a busy area however it’s much easier to get around to visiting each of the stalls so that you may have a good look at the variety of different wares and good food items that are on sale.

If you are in Sydney for the weekend, don't miss the iconic Rocks Market. It is a very famous market and expect it to be crowded. The first section are products, which are locally from Sydney. True unique products which is great to see. The last part at the bridge is the food. Many different options available and you can dine with a view over the Sydney Harbour and Opera House. I can highly recommend the paella, it was absolutely delicious!

A wonderful weekend market with many stalls of food, homemade products and much more! The market stretches along a wide road so you’ll probably spend a good amount of time here. There’s food, homemade products, gift cards, glass figures, essential oils and more! I bought a handful of cards and much more!

This is a free open-air Sunday market. The location is excellent. I’d give it a skip if it is raining. Thankfully, we had a sunny winter’s day. It has a great vibe with assorted stalls - trinkets, handmade products, artisanal goods, a wide range of food. It’s a fun experience. But it’s also a tourist trap with prices rounded up. Don’t visit if you’re super hungry. You need to be prepared to pay over the odds for simple food in smaller than normal portions. Try to go in the morning as the crowds pick-up dramatically from noon.

Quay Restaurant, located in the heart of The Rocks with stunning views of Sydney Harbour, offers innovative tasting menus that have reinvigorated the dining experience in Australia. Executive chef Peter Gilmore's culinary creations are a testament to his adoration for nature and attention to detail. The six-course set menu showcases his expertise in crafting dishes that highlight marine life, umami depth, and elusive ingredients.
I celebrated my graduation dinner here with my family in May, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had. Over the years, I’ve visited various fine dining restaurants for special occasions, and I have to say—Quay truly got everything right. From the impeccable service and outstanding food quality to the gorgeous night view, every detail was thoughtfully executed. Each dish was beautifully presented, and the layers of flavour were simply remarkable. My entire family thoroughly enjoyed this unforgettable experience. Thank you.

Its worth to paying couple of $$$! ✨

It was a journey of umami, complex flavors mostly not overly salted, some japanese touches with a good balance of flavors and textures. There was attention to color with an interesting minimalist theme in plating the dishes. Pictured duck dish and the little appetizer bites were stand outs. Service was attentive and friendly. Venue was nice, but entry was hard to find (take the lift beside James Squire) and unfortunately there was a giant cruise ship obscuring what would’ve been an outstanding view.
Cheryl L — Google review
Many people mentioned that the experience isn’t as impressive as it used to be and said it’s not really worth recommending. But I still wanted to try it for myself, so I decided to visit. Unfortunately, there was a cruise ship docked at the time, so we couldn’t enjoy the Opera House view. However, the staff kindly seated us on the Harbour Bridge side, which still offered a beautiful view during our meal. As for the food, it turned out to be a much more satisfying dinner than I expected. Every dish was enjoyable, although the pork jowl was a bit tough and didn’t quite meet the mark. That aside, the rest of the courses were well-balanced, and I really appreciated how beautifully everything was plated. I’d definitely like to come back next season to see how the menu evolves.

Excellent food with high-quality ingredients, attentive service, and stunning views. The only downsides were the dining room being uncomfortably cold despite requests to adjust the AC, and the menu ending with several sweet courses, which felt slightly unbalanced. Overall, a memorable and impressive experience! 🤍

Dining at Quay was a sublime experience. Nestled in Sydney’s harbor with panoramic views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, the setting alone is unforgettable. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and effortlessly refined. Each dish on the tasting menu was a masterpiece of creativity and precision, showcasing ingredients in ways both surprising and deeply satisfying. Quay doesn’t just serve food—it delivers an artful journey that lingers long after the final bite.
Rafael S — Google review
An Interesting dining experience at Quay Sydney. Each course was a masterclass in creativity, balance, and finesse. The evening began with delicately plated raw scallops topped with smoked eel cream and Murray cod roe — a perfect harmony of freshness and umami. The wild greenlip abalone and sea cucumber with aged seaweed broth showcased the kitchen’s precision and respect for the ocean. The mud crab dumpling in brown butter emulsion was rich yet refined, while the smoked confit pig jowl with young macadamia and sherry vinegar prunes delivered bold, deep flavors with silky textures. The highlight for me was the David Blackmore Wagyu — intensely savory, paired with shiitake and dried oyster, elevated by a whisper of licorice kombu. Desserts were equally show-stopping. “White Coral” and the playful “Post Brood Honey Bee” were not only beautifully presented but also ended the meal with a delightful sense of whimsy.

Sri Lankan restaurant
Lankan Filling Station is a modern restaurant that opened in 2018, located in a narrow converted garage. The menu features traditional Sri Lankan dishes like sambols and curries, as well as creative starters such as devilled cashews and crab cutlets. The vibrant and visceral cooking by chef-owner O Tama Carey offers profound depth of flavor with a kaleidoscope of spices ground and roasted in-house.
We had the lentils, cashew curry and rice, simple but packed with so much flavour. The coconut sambol still lives rent-free in my head. Everything came out fast, the service was warm, and the room had that busy-but-fun energy. It’s such a shame to hear it’s closing. If you haven’t been, go. 🤌

Undeniably elegant yet relax atmosphere, service was very attentive and customers well taken care of. Food was well prepared, presented well but perhaps lack the rusticity and grittiness you expect from authentic Sri Lankan food.

Faultless experience at Lankan filling station. Kangaroo tail curry, sambal selection, fish, eggplant and desserts were all knockouts. I am gutted that the place is closing down, but looking forward to what chef owner O Tama will be doing in the near future. 2 weeks to go, and will be in tomorrow for the last last hurray!!

Came in for a lovely lunch. There‘s a couple lunch specials and the whole menu to choose from, I selected off of both and greatly enjoyed the cashew curry. It’s a small place that fills up quickly, once you‘ve tasted it you can understand why - a hearty and tasty meal!

Fill, we did! I can only define their food as a refined version of authentic Lankan experience. I can recommend their fish and cashew curry with string hoppers. The staff were very attentive and helpful which is becoming a bit of a rarity these days. Five stars from me and I will be back for more...

What a great place. It's a shame they're closing their doors this year. The food is outstanding. Quality Sri Lankan food, with options got vegans, vegetarians, also plenty of gluten free options on the menu. The cashew curry and fish curry with the standouts. Their hoppers and rotis were perfect for mopping up the delicious sauces. The staff are very welcoming and helpful with the menu. Even suggesting we reduce our order because it was a bit much for 3 people. Would highly recommend this place before it closes. It's one of the best curries you'll have in Sydney.

This was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Sydney! Starting with the food, the menu is so creative, well priced, and full of flavor. We wanted more of everything even when we were full! The depth of flavor and spices used were unlike anything else I’ve had. All of the mains were phenomenal and we loved the desert as well (even as a non dessert person)! One of my favorite parts of sitting down initially was seeing that their menu is nearly all gluten free and if it’s not, it’s marked (not gluten free). Nice for a change, but amazing options for any dietary restriction. The service is truly something notable. Sydney isn’t known for the best restaurant service, however the servers here set the bar so high! Our drinks never fell below half way full, they were so friendly and attentive, we had such a great time. Truly wouldn’t miss this spot if you’re in Sydney or you’re visiting and looking for unique, high quality and flavorful food with a great atmosphere. 10/10 in my book!

Eaten here 3 times; discovering & loving it more each time. We’ve been over the fine dining scene for years & I’m always on the lookout for well run, easy going comfort food restaurants, but it’s hard to find them. I loved Lankan Filling Station both previous visits but never thought it would be somewhere I’d go regularly because Wayne can’t eat spicy food, nor can he tolerate paper (reflux inducing). We gave this a go because we wanted somewhere different & it appealed having holidayed in Sri Lanka recently. As soon as we sat, I asked for recommendations with Wayne’s needs in mind. Instantly the kitchen was consulted & we were then presented with the restaurant menu that you order from (similar to Yumcha) - it had been marked to show which dishes were no go options ❌ Super helpful & there were plenty to choose from, which we suspected. The ordering process is lots of fun, superbly assisted by the restaurant owner who is an understated gem of a front of house. The other stand out about this place is their non alcoholic drinks offering. WOW! I wanted all of them - that is unheard of! Very few restaurants do this well. I love any Shrub & this Mandarin Shrub was so good. The dishes we ordered were awesome - Wayne even said to me he thought the food was better than in Sri Lanka!! I think that’s partly because we were so well assisted here 😉 The food is SERIOUSLY outstanding!

Italian restaurant
Fabbrica Pasta Shop CBD is a haven for pasta lovers, offering handmade pasta by the gram, freshly made sauces, and an array of cheese. You can mix and match various sauces with different types of pasta or opt for ready-to-cook packs that come with everything you need. The store also features a cafe where you can enjoy coffee, fresh bread, sandwiches, and wine by the glass.
Francesca was our waitress and she was lovely! She was so helpful, friendly and attentive. She definitely made the place. The food was delicious and they had a good selection of drinks.

Cute, casual and cosy pasta restaurant. Atmosphere was calm, music not too loud and service was quite prompt. Personal highlights would be the pear soda 🍐- bright and not too sweet, burrata 🧀 fennel jam was CRAZY, prawn mafaldine 🦐- al dente with a slight kick of nduja balanced with a generous sprinkle of chives (I think lol) and the hazelnut tiramisu 🥄- more on the custardy side which I LOVE ❤️ I found the croquettes slightly too salty and the duck rigatoni a little bit too fatty (but keep in mind that’s just my preference). But overall, thank you for a delicious night 🤰🏻

Ordered Tagliatelle, blue swimmer crab, chilli. Came out with chives on top. The server said no worries will make new one. I said I’m sorry because on the menu it was not show they have chive in the dish. Got new pasta, with recooked from old dish. Pasta overcooked and sauce so OILY as you can see in the picture. Chives are still in the dish just cooked it. Zucchini flower is nice.

Visited Fabbrica for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. We were a party of two and came here on a Saturday afternoon, we were seated right away (walk-ins accepted). Ordered theee dishes - Zucchini Flowers, Mafaldine and Cacio e Pepe. Zucchini flowers were scrumptious and a great starter choice - The outer was crispy and sweet with the hot honey drizzle. The mozzarella and ricotta filling was a combination of bursting flavours I would’ve never thought would work with the tanghulu-like crispy outer. The winning dish for me would he the Mafaldine - The spicy nduja sauce tied everything together and the prawns were cooked to perfection - Super juicy and tender. The mafaldine was al-dente, and now also my favourite kind of pasta! Unfortunately the Cacio e Pepe wasn’t a favourite due to the simplicity of it, however I understand the complexity of making this dish and it’s hard to get it right! The flavour ok to me however we favour the other pasta dish more. Overall a lovely experience, the man who greeted us initially was friendly, very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

First time we went the food was pretty bland. Gave it a second try as we had an Uber Eats Dine Out deal and honestly it was pretty good. I would definitely go back again. I’d say the dishes were all pretty good. The Cacio Pepe was the stand out. Staff were wonderful and welcoming. A highlight. Prices are definitely on the higher side for what you get, but that seems to be the norm for Italian food anywhere.

Came here for dinner and the food was quite underwhelming, overhyped imo. The seating was also restricting but the waiter was nice. - The burrata was quite tasteless ⭐️ - Mafaldine, prawns, nduja was good, the pasta texture was nice and chewy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Semolina Casarecce, pork ragu bianco was gamy and the flavours didn’t quite come together properly, couldn’t finish it after two bites (not pictured) ⭐️ - the leaf salad was also mid, very sour (not pictured)⭐️ - tiramisu was the highlight - there were hazelnut crunchy pieces which complimented the cake really well ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pastas are yum. The malfadine with prawn is delicious and can’t be flawed. Portions however are on the skimpy side - an ordinary person needs 1.5 servings of the pasta to be full The sandwiches are not worth the price. The focaccia was very dry and cold. Seems underwhelming for a place that prides itself on its baked goods 2 pastas and a sandwich during lunch sets you back $85

Visited Fabbrica Pasta Shop in Sydney CBD, and it completely lived up to its reputation. The pasta was fresh, silky, and cooked to perfection — each dish bursting with authentic Italian flavor. The sauce was beautifully balanced, showing that “less is more” when the ingredients are top quality. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made great wine pairing suggestions. The small, warm atmosphere gives off that modern trattoria feel — casual but refined. Perfect for a quick pasta lunch or a cozy dinner in the city. If you love real Italian food, this is one of Sydney’s must-try spots.

Restaurant
Mexican restaurant
The Butler in Potts Point is a stylish and charming restaurant offering Ibero-American cuisine and creative cocktails. Head Chef Amber Doig brings her expertise in Mexican/Ibero-American cooking, with dishes like 12-hour braised lamb barbacoa and adobo skirt steak. The restaurant boasts a large, leafy terrace with panoramic views of the Sydney skyline, making it a popular spot for long lunches, date nights, or enjoying cocktails like the Spiced Orange Espresso Martini.
The Butler came highly recommended to us, and we are so glad it was, definitely lived up to the hype. Classy and understated, with an amazing view, and surrounded by plants so you don't feel like you are in the middle of bustling Potts Point. The food was sensational. We opted for the banquet which was great bang for your buck. Delicious flavours, nothing disappointed! And contentedly full without feeling overstuffed. Service was friendly and attentive. A fab little restaurant and we hope to go back soon!

Epic food, views and service. Think fabulous lunch or dinner with friends, family or take someone special here. Tables of all sizes, my recommendation is to dine in the covered terrace area as it’s closer to the views. If you prefer to be inside in aircon ask to be seated away from the stairs. There is also a bar area upstairs. We had the set menu and all of the food fabulous, prawns are served butterfly style, steak amazing, entrees special and the deserts awesome. The cocktails and wine menu offer good choices. It’s a beautifully appointed restaurant and has a sophisticated vibe about it. Service is excellent but not intrusive. Bathrooms lovely. There are stairs to get down to the restaurant so that is a consideration around mobility. Feel confident with this restaurant delivering a very good dining experience. Highly recommend this restaurant. Love your local guide- M❤️ Follow me for more reviews

Can't rave enough about this place. The food was delicious, the service was top notch; our server Ash was so attentive and lovely, took the time to talk to us about the menu as it was our first time visiting. The vibe and aesthetic was so nice too with a cool view of the city. Cocktails were great! Would come back and highly recommend

We found this restaurant while walking. The atmosphere looks so nice so decided to try next time. And we did. The vibe was so beautiful as we expected. We started with the bread and butter which were nice and soft. Empanadas made of bean were amazing. We wanted to order second plate. The other dishes were all good including dessert. Also, you can enjoy the city view from the seat. It's one of the big parts in this restaurant.

Such a great experience, staff very very friendly and very accomodating. Very attentive but not intrusive. One of the best dining experience to date and our international guest love it. Thank you to everyone in the kitchen and the wait staff on the evening!! Decent parking in the area too which was great. The apple pudding pie was so so good!

My friends and I had a great time at the Butler. Incredible food (the Tuna Tartare and Lamb were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had) and the staff were SO attentive & friendly. Fantastic afternoon had by all - we’ll definitely be coming back!

We popped into this bar for a little drink for happy hour and it was lovely! The staff were great. The happy hour wine and beer were both nice and the margaritas were amazing! We got a beautiful view over the city at sunset which was nice too. The food looked good on other tables, we will be back to try for sure!

We ate out on the Terrace. Just beautiful with the best waiter, Vinnie from Brazil. The man was the epitome of warm, generous hospitality. Thank you, Vinnie. The terrace was magical watching the sunset with all of the fairy lights. Wonderful evening. Thank you.
