How can you not love this place! The beer and pizza are both excellent. Highly recommended if you are visiting Sydney University or Newtown.

Visited The Grifter Brewing Co. in Marrickville, and it was one of the best brewery experiences in Sydney. The craft beers were top-notch — crisp, aromatic, and brewed with real passion. Tried a few different styles and each one had its own unique flavor profile. The taproom has that perfect industrial vibe: open space, good music, and an easygoing crowd. The staff were knowledgeable and happy to recommend beers based on taste preferences. A must-visit spot if you love local brews, laid-back energy, and good company. Perfect example of Sydney’s craft beer scene at its best.

A fun brewery to check out in Marrickville. I sampled a paddle of different beers and the wood fire pizza looks amazing. Well worth a trip.

The most disgusting pizza I've ever had the displeasure to be served. The topping slid off immediately after very clearly being defrosted and the dough practically disintegrated. Utterly foul, especially for the inflated price tag - no pizza should ever be described as "wet and sloppy"

Spacious laid back atmosphere brewery that is dog friendly. Tried two light beers (seems to serve 12 kinds of beers) and Rico's Tacos. They were good. Will have to try their tasting tray (4 kinds of beer for $15) on my next visit!

2 blokes on their phones and cant be bothered to look up and serve customers. Only bothered when I asked if they were still open. They cant even answer a simple question on what is your best seller when asked for a recommendation and got a condescending response. Would not recommend to anyone. Pretty expensive $10 for a small pint. Poor service seems to be a very consistent experience based on the lowest reviews. Please do some customer service training for your staff if you want more business.

I thought it was just me...and then I read the reviews below. This is a great spot and the beers are good but there is one dude that works here that has major attitude. I don't expect a song and dance, but at least try to act pleasant and not sarcastic/standoffish. Definitely not what I have experienced at the Marrickville brewpub and pretty off-putting.

Absolutely my favourite bar in Sydney. Always good beer, massive and always changing selection of beers and the always amazing people behind the bar. There is nothing not to like. Also has a bottle shop for those takeaways. No food directly but loads of places you can grab food from and eat around the bar. Hard not to stop in on my way to the station.. Update 10/11/22 Still good. Taken over by Batch from Bucket Boys. Mostly Batch beers which is no bad thing. Just grabbed a Dine and Dash. Very tasty.

I have really loved this place but one staff member today was very strangely judgemental and rude. I filled my water bottle up but he made a snide remark to my friend about me doing it. If it was a problem maybe offer me a cup. Dampened our vibe for a good 20 minutes. Also tipped half of our beer down the drain and is worries about me taking a cups worth of water in my bottle.

Had a really good time here. Nice tap beer and you have 20 choices! They also sell bottles, if you don’t like the beer on tap then go to their bottle shop! The every staffs are really nice and friendly! Love the place, people and of course beer! I’ll come back again!

Nice to have a Batch tap closer to the office. Saves me a bit of travelling to get to Marrickville. Awesome food available, super easy to have more than a few after work. Went for the Rye IPA but it was not available. No worries, friendly and helpful staff happy to help me find another great one to try.

It's got probably the best selection of beers around that area, always something fun to try. There are some flaws tho, it should offer middis and tasting paddles, it doesn't make much sense that it doesn't as its tap offering is primed for it. The staff are really helpful when trying to decide, and also very patient. Give it a go!

I’ve been eating at the Lord Nelson for about 10 years. My favourite thing was the pie, which was always fresh and had a really deeply rich taste. I dont know whats happened, but when I ate it last night it was disgusting. Cold in some places, warm in others; but the real problem was the pastry. It was hard as rocks and stale tasting. If I had to guess, it seemed like the pie had been made the day before, was frozen, and then reheated. But that cant be the case for a $20 pie, can it? Nevertheless, thats how bad it was. The other people in my party gave their food mixed reviews, the only good feedback given was for the mushroom linguine. A common complaint: food was cold in some places, hot or warm in others, which indicates reheating. I really hope that isn't the case. P.s. looking at some of the more recent reviews, I've noticed similar complaints to mine, and a response from the owners being along the generic and empty lines of “we appreciate your feedback so sorry your experience was bad one” etc. I don’t need that. Just fix the food.

We had a function held at the restaurant upstairs. The room and seating were lovely, with a vintage charm and a cozy atmosphere created by the soft, warm lighting. I had the rump steak, which was delicious, and the chips were perfectly crispy. The only downside was the organisation. Since it was a function with nearly 40 guests, we were asked to pre-order our mains a few days in advance so the kitchen could prepare. However, on the day, things still felt quite disorganised - some dishes came out very early, while others took much longer. The first mains appeared after about half an hour, and my rump steak was the last to arrive - almost a 50-minute wait, which felt especially long after a busy day.

Not only is Lord Nelson Brewery is in the heart of the rocks in Sydney, Australia. You can either sit inside or outside. Order a burger and have one of their very own lagers. Served up in a frosted mug. You will not be disappointed. Try the flight of beer (they call it a paddle). All of the beers were so good. If you don’t know what to choose, they will most definitely help you.

Had lunch here last weekend with my family from overseas. Staff went out of their way to way to make us welcome and even though we had to change the time of our booking at late notice, this wasn't a problem. Food and drink was delicious. Great experience. We'll be back! Thank you!

One of the oldest and most historic hotels in Sydney! While it may feel a bit surprising to travelers used to luxury hotels, the charm, warmth, and comfort of this place turn everything into a uniquely enjoyable experience. A truly delightful stay filled with character and history.

The Lord Nelson, Hotel and brewery was one of the gems that we visited and stayed at while we were in Sydney. The accommodations were amazing. The staff was fantastic. The restaurant and pub were absolutely amazing. Everyone there made us feel so welcome and so part of the family of what is Australia. It was our very first trip to Australia and we certainly felt very welcome and we look forward to returning to the Lord Nelson hotel.

Amazingly old hotel in the Rocks very helpful staff & clean room, however I need to add a warning for anyone with mobility issues, when we booked we were not aware that due to the age of this building there wasn’t a lift or disability accessible accommodation on site, which is on us not the hotels fault, the staff are really helpful and took up our bags but as I have a minor mobility issue, accommodation that is only accessible up many flights of stairs and a shower over bath made things a little difficult I would recommend this venue for anyone else as it has a fascinating historical value and I found the items on display in the public areas a great addition for visitors It does have a very busy bar & restaurant but no noise carried through to our room

Awesome beers and so friendly staff! The music was quite loud though and it was hard talking, but it was prime time on a Saturday night so it's understandable. Nice venue overall!

Brewery had a lovely vibe, we sat outside on a lovely evening. Food was nice above average for brewery food, very generous servings. Wine was also very nice, much better than usual brewery offerings. Really wished I drank beer, it looked very refreshing!

Overall: 4/7 For a food perspective just ok - drinks are decent. We got two half kilos of wings, a pizza and a schooner of beer for ~64. Saw people rating the wings very highly but personally wasn’t a fan. A bit bland and the texture was a bit funny - I think they may have been boiled then finished after? But they boiled them for too long. The “hot” OG is certainly spicy, so take care when ordering. Pumpking pizza: 5/7 was actually quite good, very well cooked pumpkin. Good balance of toppings to base.

We visited on a day they were supporting a cause for rescuing greyhounds, which was cool. It's nice to see they offer vegan options, but the wine and beer are definitely the highlights of the menu. Their take on the spring roll, a fried spring roll wrapped in rice paper, was a pleasant surprise. The eggplant skewers were tasty, though the sauce would have been better served on the side. Overall, it’s a good spot for drinks and a nice vibe.

Great food and a cozy setup inside the brewery. Didn’t feel like I was missing out on meat with all the tasty vegetarian dishes on the menu. Food was fast to come out and well presented. Favourite was the Tom Yum rice with the crispy bits and the roti. Prices very reasonable.

Happy hour on Wednesdays and Fridays (check times) and incredible vegan food. Who'd knew I'd be eating good vego dishes along with Friday beers? Set menu?? Probably no one. Here's a photo of the sticky date pudding which comes in the current set menu. Serious gourmet food! Not your average food-truck-greasy-burger that comes attached to every beer-making premises. Also this brewery has been here for ages so they are definitely doing it right. Bar staff was super friendly and happy at work. Beer wise, my favourite was the Mango IPA hands down.

Restaurant dining upstairs. Cozy area. There is even a pool table. Pet friendly. Not noisy. Great food. Delicious tasting. The menu at the bar below is more extensive than the menu found online. They also have daily special, not found online.

What a great little micro brewery in the middle of a very boring industrial area. Big space. Great brews and delicious vegan Asian food. What’s not to love?

Popped in for a quick drink in the sun, but bumped into an old mate, so ended up staying a few hours! Met heaps of friendly people who ended up coming to an event of mine. The vibe was so chill, the staff were warm & attentive, the wines were tasty & refreshing. Thank you Yulli's for creating such a nice & fortuitous atmosphere!

Quirky fun place to spend an afternoon in an establishment that pays homage to our Australian beer drinking culture and the deeds of Bob Hawke and the Labour Party. A vast array of memorabilia fills this unique space within this repurposed warehouse. Grab a simple but tasty feed at the Lucky Prawn Chinese restaurant and enjoy the music, the beer and the crowd.

This was our second visit. Weekends are tricky as the restaurant only takes reservations for 4 or more and even though we arrived around 11.45 and perched ourselves at a bar table, the restaurant’s reserved tables remained infilled until we left around 1pm. This place trades itself on nostalgic old school Chinese food. Well, I was around in the 70’s and 80’s when Chinese food was a mainstay of Australian dining and I can assure you, it was nothing like what was dished up here. Ok let’s talk about the positives. Music is great, bar staff are welcoming and accommodating. The vibe is pretty cool. The food is ghastly. We ordered the soup dumplings, they were ok, not made on site, probably frozen from some wholesaler. The garlic prawns were swimming in a grey sauce, check out the photos if you don’t believe me. Crab omelette was not like anything we had experienced anywhere in Asia or even in a backwater Australian town. The cod was acceptable, but tasteless. The food was around $150 for two people. I’m pretty sure one can do better than this anywhere else in Marrickville. Visit here for the fun vibe, the great music and the overpriced drinks. Don’t eat here

Looking for the good old slap up Chinese meal? Look no further! Heard about this place and was impressed by the gluten free options for classic 80s Aussie Chinese. It’s like a staged time capsule to the 80s with a good dose of humor. Make sure you book because it was busy! But that only added to the atmosphere. Good beer, great food and friendly staff. What else can you ask for. Definitely going back. May be for Sunday yum Cha next time. (Without the coeliacs)

We had an average experience at Hawkers Brewery in Sydney. The venue itself has a nice setup and the beer selection is quite extensive, which was great to see. However, the overall vibe felt a bit underwhelming. Service was polite but not particularly engaging, and there wasn’t much atmosphere during our visit. While it’s a decent spot for a casual drink, it didn’t really leave a lasting impression. We were hoping for a bit more energy or something unique to set it apart.

This place is awesome, whoever came up with this concept is a genius. $24 for a Margarita is absolutely ridiculous, but the rest of the place is GOLD. Hearing Ritchie Benaud cricket commentary when walking into the men's room is just perfect. Great food, generally good staff (the table wait staff are great), great beer, best decor for those of us who remember our beloved mildly corrupt PM Robert Leee James bloody Hawke. Wonderful venue. Just don't order a Margarita.

The food at The Lucky Prawn inside the Bob Hawke Beer & Leisure Centre was surprisingly good. I forgot to take photos but this place serves up super-tasty Chinese food with a side of what's fast becoming a tidy lineup of classic Aussie beers. The Prawn Toast is king, 4 steamed dimmies that packed a flavour punch, the crab omelette was silky smooth, prawns in XO yum, and the old school sweet & sour pork and beef in black bean sauce served on a sizzling hot plate is every bit worth the money (which isn't expensive, especially if you're there with a group). Our bill came to around $75pp and included a bottle of white wine, 4 pints and 2 glasses of rosé.

It could have gone over-ginmicky, but our dishes were really yum. We ordered shrimp toast, shitake omlette and Mongolian lamb. A food truck we were following on insta was going to be here, so we ventured over for lunch on a Saturday. Great vibe, feels very outdoorsy even when indoors. Dog friendly and met some lovely woofs. I had a cider, and it was spot on light and refreshing. Loved it - will look for this in bars/pubs.

Young Henrys: A Newtown Institution Located just a short walk from Newtown Station, Young Henrys is more than just a pub—it's a brewery experience. This isn't your average bar; the beer is as fresh as it gets. I visited on a weekday evening, and it was the perfect time to go. It wasn't too crowded, so we had no trouble finding a spot. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, and the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. It felt like a true local spot, with a great mix of people enjoying their evening. The range of beers on tap is fantastic, offering a great way to sample their core range and some of their more experimental brews. For anyone who appreciates good beer and a laid-back environment, Young Henrys is a must-visit. The combination of a working brewery, great staff, and a chill vibe makes it one of the best spots in Newtown.

Visited Young Henrys – Craft Brewery and Tasting Bar in Newtown, and it’s everything a local brewery should be. The craft beers were excellent — rich, aromatic, and full of flavor, brewed right on-site. The Newtowner Pale Ale and Stayer Mid were standouts. The atmosphere was relaxed and lively, with a mix of locals, creatives, and music lovers filling the space. The staff were passionate and down-to-earth, happy to chat about their beers and brewing process. It’s the perfect spot for a casual drink, great conversation, and a true taste of Sydney’s craft beer culture.

We had a great Monday afternoon on a public holiday enjoying some Motorcycle Oil and Bock beers. The staff are always helpful and friendly which brings a great vibe to the venue. We love it here and have been enjoying it for many years now. It is inclusive, dog friendly, has indoor and outdoor spaces and a great spot to chill.

Incredible bewery with great beer and the best staff. My first time there the manager and other staff were chatting away with me for hours and even gave me a couple on the house. 11/10 for the atmosphere, this is my go-to in Newtown now.

Their beers are great, they don’t have a food menu, but have a ramen truck at the back of their place. Their bartenders know how to pour a proper beer. Pet friendly, and not overcrowded. Last order for the ramen truck is at 8:20 pm. Simple Karaege centric menu with some ramen options as well.

It's a morish beer, and tasty, its very nice on the palate, on deeper reflection, the berry compot is done to the level of a delicious pie With no seeds or slush, with just the right lager overtones, a nice tart initial flavour, that has a nice hang time, that evaporates leaving a slightly dry mouth. it is more than just delicious, a little extravagant, but without the financial pangs of spending too much It It's a sin to take a gulp, it feels like a wasted experience, that squanders your money, and plunders your future pleasure. A warm sensation falls over you as the alcohol warms the belly, almost like a whisky belly in winter, but without the burn in the oesophagus I find a melancholy setting in as I put down the empty glass, it just doesn't hit the spot enough, I mean its delicious beyond compare for beer especially. But I f8nd myself wanting another. I drink for effect, not taste, I pick the blandest beer to do the job, but this a another story, the consistency, the tart, the warmth, its delectable, mellow and mouthwatering, even just thinking about it.

Beers are great, but the food truck menu should be looked at. $20 for the vegetarian tacos and you get a few vegetables with a bit of sauce! Eat before you get here.

Great place to come with friends. Really nice outdoor seating area, with a wide selection of beers available. Some really tasty options as well as some cute novelty ones that were really unique to this brewery. Appreciated being able to grab a tasty bite while having a drink with pals as well. Staff were super friendly. Great service and nice, clean amenities.

Lovely spot, truly enjoyed! It’s DOG friendly - you can go anywhere around the brewery with your furry friend and there is pretty much always a food truck outside. Quite good pizzas, very cheap but also quite small, on a gas fired oven when I visited! The gin bar upstairs is super secret and looks awesome. Have not had a change to try the cocktails there yet!

Visited from Christchurch earlier this year. Fantastic beers on tap including slushies and ice cream beers. Great burgers from the food truck next door. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Sydney

Chill warehouse vibe bar in Marikville. Surprisingly the pizza was excellent and tacos were good. Good beer options. Seemed to be Pet friendly. May wanna book the table in advance on weekends.

Lovely microbrewery, great range of style and strength, includes sour, gruit, old ale from 3% to an 8% DIPA. My dark ale was fantastic. V nice vibe. Good food choices - vegetarian choices with jalapeño’s, cauliflower also falafel & massaman curry buns etc! (Check food menu, not just blackboard). Great staff. Welcoming.

The bartender Adrien was incredibly kind and accommodating, allowing me time to decide amongst the large variety of beers on tap! The place is groovy as, quite the vibe if I do say so myself! Great taste in music and some decent beers, certainly worth a visit!

We enjoy coming here as in an area filled with breweries I can get a drink that's not a beer, while my partner can enjoy a good range of beers! The kitchen is good too and we often plan to come here to eat as well as drink. A big space with plenty of tables to sit at.

The pumpkin pizza was great!! We were delighted just looking at it, the servings were large, stringy & coated in toppings. A little salty for my liking but still super delicious and I'm keen to come back to try the nachos. Stole a falafel off my friend's plate and was wowed as well, plus love that they had just juice poppers!

We were in a group of friends for a friends bday, no one was drunk, no one was wearing a controversial outfit or anything over the top we just a bunch of mates who wanted to drink and have a good time but were slightly dressed up. We were barred from entering or even purchasing a drink - this is the worst experience I’ve ever had at any brewery or pub. The security said they don’t do pub crawls or dress up even though we all looked appropriate and no dress ups and banned us. This is an absolute joke and so unprofessional- don’t go here or waste your money if you’re with your friends and you want a couple of beers - complete waste of time. This place shouldn’t even be a brewery for any young people to waste their money at.

I love this place. What I really love most is the staff. They are so freaking friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome! You cannot go wrong with the old sando beer, and the trivia on Wednesday is the best in the city!

A great pub, wicked trendy staff and so many good drinks. The food is also fantastic and the house rosé is delicious which makes me very happy. The beer range is amazing and very well priced for such a good location. I go so often that my parents were a bit concerned, but I took them and they loved it and fears reduced. Me and a few mates occasionally take a friends dog for a walk as an excuse because we secretly want to go to the pub, and it’s a real treat. It gets pretty busy but the staff are amazing and keep the pints flowing and people very happy. They also promote their free water station to keep us healthy. The balcony section is excellent for people watching. A plethora of sights from the city slickers returning home from a boozy lunch, to the awkward first date moments we all don’t enjoy experiencing but enjoy watching. Also the occasional beautiful sunset enhanced with a delicious beverage. The nitro stout is a firm favourite and the lemon squash is the perfect gateway drink if the dust hasn’t settled from the day before but you still want to have a lovely time. My friends also really love the Japanese lager and the new world pale ale. In summary, I love it and if you are in manly you have to visit.

We tried beers and a fish and chips. They offer 12 beers on tap along with other alcoholic brewed beers and drinks. The brewery offers a non- alcoholic beer that was okay. Good fish and chips, service and a nice view seating outside.

Visited 4 Pines Brewpub Manly, and it was everything you’d want from a coastal brewery. The craft beers were excellent — crisp, flavorful, and perfectly chilled. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, with sea breeze coming through and locals enjoying their evening. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about the brews, offering great recommendations. It’s the kind of place that captures the spirit of Manly — good beer, good people, and ocean views. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sydney’s northern beaches.

Wonderful micro brewery with excellent skills. As a (almost) German I must say the Hefeweizen was a glass of "home" excellent taste 5/5! Sometimes you get a bit lonely with the time difference to home and a sip from Hefeweizen reminds you that everything is okay. Well done!

We went on the night they celebrated The Day of The Dead. The atmosphere was great. The Mariachi Band was fun. They were great. The food, the beer and the whole vibe was exceptional. Would recommend dining \ drinking here.

Been there for the first time. The place was cozy but atmosphere as really amazing. Its a small brewery but wonderful to have some chats with friends and drink. They have tasting beer and you can choose from different variants. And while they serve, they even let you the which one’s are the soft and hard with receipt of drinks simultaneously. The food runner ladies were very friendly. The view from the balcony is amazing, you can see the sunset. Overall my experience was wonderful. Might visit their very soon.

Came for dinner. Started with $1 wings. The smoked chicken sounded like a great option, one had half a chicken with generous sides, I had the chicken roll, the chicken was tender and the gravy was delicious as were the chips, but thought it was a bit pricey for $25 though. One friend ordered a steak with an extra side of brocollini, he was disappointed that he got 4 strands for $8.50. Others also ordered steak which they wanted medium rare, but the steaks were thin that they were medium to well done. The staff are friendly, it was a busy night and it wasn't a long wait for the food. The best part is that it's dog friendly.

Nice quaint corner British style pub. Went for the food based on reviews and menu but was pretty disappointed. Menu at pub was different to what was online/on the QR code ordering Zero chance those ribs have gone anywhere near a smoker so bit risky putting it in the ‘smoker’ section of the menu. Chips were awesome though, only saving grace Plenty of other great pubs in the area I’d go to before this one again

For food, I ordered a half-chook with potato salad. It was delicious despite how they cooked it differently there! The pub is great in general and we sat at the back with a large TV to watch the horse races on, the service was quick and friendly and it's a fine atmosphere in general. Went here for dinner before a football game at Allianz. They did a $15 cheeseburger or chicken burger special. The burgers were good. Would come here again.

$11 pints and taco tuesday deals are a must-see. vibes on the street are phenomenal and the staff look after their regulars. great local pub and a good all-rounder in the area

Decent tap beer choice (not so sure the craft beer tag is warranted tho), great spot when the weather is good. Nachos a fine snack after a beer or two.

We had our Christmas party here a few weeks ago. They had a vast selection of beers and a decent cocktail menu. The bar staff were very friendly. The food was tasty however the portions a little small. I’d definitely come back for a drink some time.

There are a few micro-breweries in Sydney, but not too many in the city centre. This is more than just a novelty this place. The staff are very welcoming. The food is good and the beer is better. They have a great range and some names that rely on puns. Puns are the greatest form of humour, everyone knows that. Well done .

On a recent trip to Sydney we came across such a beautiful pub to relax and wind-down between meetings. Friendly staff and amazing ambience, perfect for after-work hours. The decor was old and nostalgic; at the Redoak Beer Cafe. Definitely coming back!

Unique lineup of beer and i really enjoyed beer tasting menu which we can choose 4kinds of beer from the list. I went on weekdays and so cozy and good mood. Foods and staff are nice too.

Love attending Redoak, it is like a new experience every time trying random flavours in beers. The staff is always to give suggestions and also to receive feedbacks.

I've held two events at the Dove & Olive, both in the Terrace area, and both times have been great. This weekend, we opted for the minimum spend and a staffed event. Anna looked after us from 2 pm until close and was very attentive. We had the entire upstairs bar to ourselves, so service was super quick. They have an amazing selection of beer, and the food menu is also great! Couldn't recommend it enough if you're looking to host an event!

We recently hosted a charity fundraising trivia night in the top bar at the Dove & Olive. Event organisers will know how stressful these nights can be, but the D&O team made it effortless. Chris, Jamie, Sonya and the staff were all outstanding, nothing was too much trouble while Bianca delivered a fantastic trivia session that kept everyone engaged (& laughing!) The night ran seamlessly, the atmosphere was brilliant, and we’re now planning to make it an annual event. A huge thank you to the wonderful team at this great pub - it was fabulous night!

One of my favorite pubs in the area. Sunday roast is delicious and with a fair price. They also have specials on the drinks. Definitely recommended, and will be back soon.

Booked a room here for a birthday celebration and it was perfect. The staff are very friendly and the food was great. So easy to organise, the manager Chris had everything ironed out beforehand making sure it all ran smoothly on the night. Highly recommend ☺️

I had the beef pie and it was dreadful. It was dry, small, and the serving of peas was hilariously tiny. Honestly, one of the worst pub meals I’ve had. Decent enough beer selection but no nitro stout. You’re far better off visiting the Shakey up the road for some very good food and a decent pint of Guinness!

Outstanding range of beers, but all of our group thought the food was bang average, especially the anorexic chicken wings and the greasy and powdery chips. I certainly wouldn't visit this venue for the uninspired food, but thankfully you visit the Dove & Olive for the craft beer and here it never disappoints. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the different beers and there are many great seating options, inside, outside and upstairs. Drinking, then highly recommend. Hungry, try the Strawberry Hills just down the road!

We have been here for a few times and Frenchies has always been in our to-go list in the neighbour hood. The beer is always amazing and you have a lot of options of flavours to pair with your dish on that night. I loved one of their chef’s special on one of the weekend nights - the fish jus is beautiful, and the stuffed cucumber with cheese matches really well with the fish. And the fish is very well cooked. The smoked dark breast is a bit salty to our taste (could pair well with La Perouse beer maybe) but the presentation and plating is lovely.

Came here for pre-Christmas friends gathering and I enjoyed the good food here. I had the cheeseburger with fries and it was pretty filling. The sides were well done and flavorsome too, though I found garlic breads a tad too oily to my liking and the salads were a tad too salty.

When you see a brewery also has meat dishes, you know you will not disappoint. Steak is good, with awesome source, and chips are crispy. Cauliflower has vivid flavor from mixed ingredients and seasoning. As for beer…try for yourself :)

We had their special Veal, Pork & Duck foie gras philviers raspberry bearnaise, french Lamb rack dauphinois gratin rosemary juice, their usual menu grilled beef eye fillet, frenchies cheeseburger and garlic bread. We felt like there are more to in the menu we should try but limited tummy space, we need to come again. The food did not disappoint and was pleasantly good - one of the best french restaurant we have been to. They brew their own beer but we didn’t try so that will be something to try next time.

Tasty food. We've enjoyed the bangers and mash, ribs, cheese platter and pasta on a Wednesday night. Their house made hazy beer is very good. It’s become a regular for us and friends.

Wow!! My friend and I came to try the Tuesday Night Burgers & Beers and we were blown away! You can tell that everything is made fresh in-house with the highest quality ingredients! The beef patty was juicy, cooked medium rare, the chicken was thick and crispy, and the hand cut chips were perfectly seasoned. We couldn't resist the dessert special - a delicious vanilla creme brulee, and the staff were so friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Came here to celebrate a family’s birthday for lunch! Highly recommend this place for lunch - decent price, amazing service and super friendly staff! ⭐️ Food 4/5 for me - I have had better from other places but because of the service and everything else. Cam and Job run a tight ship and are happy to discuss the ins and outs of their various brews (as well as the finer points of warming genshu sake if you’re so inclined). A number of happy customers and their furry friends or mini me’s also sailed through the venue on the Saturday we visited. Tasting paddles of four beers are an excellent entree into Kicks’ lineup for the novice. Of particular note for this punter were their rice lager, west coast IPA, and Baltic porter. There’s a beer fridge packed full of four packs of tinnies for those who wish to takeaway. In addition to the range of draft beers there is the option of buying a ‘tin pour’ from one of the refrigerated cans. And the pizza tent out front, run by the delightful husband and wife team of Saint Michiba’s Pizza churns out an impressive array of thin-crusted numbers featuring homemade chilli jams, razor-thin slices of tender chicken breast, juicy sausage, jalapeño and other gourmet ingredients. Unisex toilets are clean, and include a fully decked-out parents’ bathroom complete with nappy changing bay. A sophisticated joint, with middies served in classy thin-glass tumblers, Kicks is a venue to savour in the early afternoon before the hubbub of the family groups ups the decibels to nil-by-ear levels. In between the low-hanging flights of the A380s and the flight of Kicks tastings, one can achieve a kind of light industrial chic Marrickville nirvana. Five stars.

On a very hidden spot on Marrickville, with not a lot of foot traffic, but still pumping on a Sunday afternoon. Which is very telling of the quality of their beers. Their range is very broad, from lagers to stouts, serving tasting paddles too. Everything is really decently priced, and their coffee sour (which had some added raspberry, surprisingly great combo!) was one of the best sours I've had around the area. Great new addition to the area!

These guys have lifted their game massively. Beers have always been epic, but the food always let them down to point we hadn't been for at least 6 months. Went tonight and they have a new menu with proper food and it's delicious. Fantastic steak as well.

Fantastic little brewery that delivers well above my expectations. From the outside the venue looks different from other breweries. Inside they have a wide range of well made beers and the food is a bit unique but very tasty. I left with a takeaway beers, so you can say I was happy with what they do!

I used to come to The Rag when I lived and worked in North Sydney back in 2007/2008. Back then the Beef and Guinness Pie was something special. Guess what... 18 years later and it's still as good as I remember and it still goes down so well with a Pint of Coppers

This place hasn’t changed since I was last here in 2005 and probably not for decades before that. A rarity in Sydney these days, an old school pub that hasn’t succumbed to the corporate overlords like so many others. Currently undergoing renovations and should come back bigger and better. Popular with the after work crowd any day of the week.

Been going here since 2010, North Sydney resident. Took my Dad here while he’s visiting from the US and introduced him to the Beef and Guinness pie. He loved it, I had pizza which was nice but not as lovely as usual, however they do have major building works going on too . It was quiet from 12-1 but noisy after with the works . Still would recommend even with the building works going on.

Visited on the 21/10/2023 Good service and nice atmosphere. The food: The schnitzel was so good. It was cooked to perfection and a good portion size. Gravy was also nice. My dad ordered the rump steak and loved it, it was cooked to his liking. Also a good portion. The teriyaki chicken bowl was average nothing special. As for the pulled beef brisket nachos major disappointment. There was not much filling on them and barely any beef brisket. The taste of them were average. If you go here I don’t recommend ordering the nachos. But I would definitely recommend the schnitzel and steak. Pies also seem to be popular here as well.

Had a lovely time with the boyz and a few beers. Open til late so it should be a great after work place to be….

Excellent pub to watch sports outside with mates and have a drink. Late night closing hours which is also convenient as most of North Sydney is quiet after 8pm. Food was good, drinks are always great. Only downside is the arrogant, oblivious staff whom have some serious attitude and choose to ignore customers and look like as if they don’t want to be there.

Fab pub, great food, decent beers, cosy atmosphere, epic rooftop. Brought down by the pissfest that is the unisex toilets. Pure vom. Stinks like grandpa Abe’s cesspit even at 4:30pm on a Friday. 🤢 Parmy was delicious and coleslaw delightfully acidic and refreshing even if the portion was on the very meagre side. Chips were legit maccas style fries, but came out hot crispy and well salted so I guess that’s a pass. The fried chicken burger is also epic and delicious.

The rooftop at Keg and Brew is a great spot to enjoy an afternoon drink, relaxed, breezy, and very pleasant early in the day. By Saturday evening it gets much busier and more hectic, but the atmosphere stays lively and fun. Booking for a large group was simple and straightforward, which made planning easy. Solid venue choice for both casual catch-ups and group gatherings.

I booked Level Two of Keg & Brew Hotel with my friend to celebrate our 33rd birthdays. We had an amazing night, it was exactly what we were hoping for! All our guests loved the venue and the party. 😊 I liked the fact that there are no room hire fees and that all the money you spend to privatise the room goes towards the food and drinks. Also, the entire floor is privatised for your event, so it’s completely private. We first had dinner for 27 people; the service was really good, the food was served quickly and without any mistakes. Everyone really enjoyed the food. After dinner, we dimmed the lights and started the party (about 60 guests). It was such a great night, the space is perfect for a DJ party!! We brought our own decks, lights, and monitor, and used the venue’s sound system (it worked really well, the sound system is great!) I really appreciated the whole process of planning with Poppy, it was very smooth and easy. Poppy was very helpful from the beginning and accommodating with all my requests. The team was also super flexible with the setup and pack down of our equipment and decorations, which was a huge help. The venue was perfect for both, the dinner and the party. I highly recommend this function room if you want to celebrate your birthday. 🎉 The only downside is that Level Two is licensed only until midnight, we would have loved to keep going longer! 😊

Food and atmosphere is great, rooftop bar is amazing. But I want to send my compliments to genius of hospitality who though its a great Idea, when guests order food and drinks on rooftop, lets make them to walk down to floor one to pick up their food and then walk back again. You are genius, mate! Kudos to you for such a great idea! You can be proud of yourself!

I’m not usually one to leave negative reviews because I know hospitality is hard but I found this experience really poor. We waited 45 minutes at lunch for our food only to find the kitchen had “deprioritised” our order in favour of other single orders, because we had 5-6 people on one bill (would you not prioritise in the order that they come in as to not leave people waiting?) We had to get our food takeaway as we had to go back to work for meetings, they forgot one of our orders and had to refund it and I opened the poke bowl up back at the office to find it was a tiny portion pictured. Those served their poke bowl at the table seemed like they got much more value for their money. Not worth $28 — won’t be going back anytime soon. Also the tills went down at the rooftop and everyone had to trek all the way to the bottom level to get their orders in. Wouldn’t have minded that had they delivered on the rest of the experience but it wasn’t to be.

Typical heritage-listed pub ideal for weekend arvo drinks. The rooftop is undoubtedly the highlight for both sunshine and after work evenings. Thanks to Meg and her team for booking several high tables as well as ample standing space. The 2 for 1 pizzas are not to be missed if you're ever by on a Saturday.

Had it been to the union Hotel for 40 years. Stating the obvious things have changed, And that for the better. Love the decor. Staff are very friendly. Both are upstairs and downstairs areas to eat. Do you love pubs that have photographs/images on the wall. Great time The background music wasn’t too loud, making conversation easy.

I was there on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy at all. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We each had a steak with pepper sauce and they were both tender, delicious, and cooked to perfection.

Had my sons 21st in the venue rooms. It was a perfect night. All the staff allowed to set-up prior to the event, and the staff were very professional and helpful on the night. The food was absolutely brilliant and many of our family friends also commented how good the food and venue was. Thank you !!

Definitely my last time at The Union Hotel. I really wanted to like this place, but from the moment I sat down, I had doubts. The water bottles on the table were dirty, and the water inside looked cloudy—more like something from a dam than drinking water. It made me question how clean everything else was. I ordered the Atlantic salmon for $36. It looked and tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for days. Dry, lifeless, and definitely not fresh. The salad that came with it was overcooked and bland. Not worth the price at all. Then came the pizza. Honestly, I have no idea what kind of dough they used—it tasted like bulgur or something similar. The cheese was clearly cheap, the flavor was off, and it was overall just awful. I forced myself to eat it since I had already paid, but it was a real struggle. If I ever return to The Union Hotel, it will only be for a drink—not for food. Disappointing, overpriced, and honestly a bit concernin

It's a great place for a night out with friends, and I would definitely return for the lamb shank. This is my fifth time here, and I'm happy with the food.

Been coming here for a years and unfortunately the new owners have really made some disappointing decisions with the menu. I got one of the two for one deals (2 burgers) and both the taste of the burger and portion size have really gone down hill. I totally get if the 2 for 1 is an unsustainable offer and not profitable. It's (was) a great deal. But if a customer orders 2 for 1, that's what they expect. Don't keep it going and serve your patrons kid meals and think they won't notice... It sends a poor message and makes your customers feel duped. Either raise your prices and continue to make it sustainable and profitable or scrap the special all together. I would happily pay more to support locals. Might still come here to watch the footy and have a beer but won't be ordering the food again.

Overall: high 4/7 personally It’s good vibes and a good location to catch up - less if a good place for food. Do note that some of their more “special” items are specials that are only available on certain days of the week. Upstairs is very cool! Just quite hot in the summer. Spice bag: 5/7 Pretty good! All well fried and decently seasoned. Curry sauce is good pairing. Signature fried rice: 4/7 Pretty typical, decently fried. Fairly sizeable portion, we got the regular. Chilli chicken: 4/7 Chicken is reasonably fried and not overly dry. Just feel it’s drowned in too much sauce. Otherwise good.

Had the most amazing experience booking the rooftop for my birthday with Taphouse Sydney - reasonable pricing and beautiful setup! Achilleas was super helpful, responsive and flexible to all my enquiries, which made the planning process so smooth. Also wanted to say a huge thanks to the managers on the night Jake and Quin who helped with getting my DJ, speeches, cake and trivia sorted (even when I forgot my laptop to project onto the screen). The boys Jude and Lincoln were so sweet and lovely serving my friends and family all night. It was such a special night for me and everyone who came loved the venue. Would highly recommend :)

On the day, the staff went above and beyond to help us. They were friendly and accommodating. Our DJ needed additional speakers and the venue arranged this without any problems. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was great and everything ran smoothly, thanks! Highly recommend to anyone planning an event!

Another great meal at Taphouse. We love coming here for the delicious Asian food, but pub vibes. It’s dog friendly too, so a perfect option for hungry, thirsty dog lovers! Staff are super attentive, not just to patrons - our dog always gets offered a fresh bowl of water and a treat. A great versatile option for any occasion - definitely recommend!

Hosted my 30th here recently on the rooftop and was a great time! Could hire the space exclusively, for a good price, and the drinks/food were awesome! All the staff, including before and during the event were super helpful too! A great venue! :)

I recently came to this establishment with the intention of trying their 20% rye barrel aged imperial stout, and I must say, it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere of the place is really lovely, with great music playing in the background and an overall vibe that just exudes good energy. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, helping me choose the perfect craft beer to suit my taste. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great selection of craft beers, and good vibes. Whether you’re in the mood for a stout or IPA or any other type of craft beer, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Fantastic beer and food at Sydney Brewery Surry Hills I visited Sydney Brewery in Surry Hills twice during my stay — that alone should tell you how good it is. The East Coast IPA absolutely blew me away. It’s probably one of the best renditions of a West Coast–style IPA I’ve ever had — certainly the best in Australia, and honestly up there with any of the California breweries. Perfect balance of hop bitterness, aroma, and smooth drinkability. On my first visit, I had their burger, which was great overall — flavorful, juicy, and satisfying. My only small critique would be the bun: it tended to fall apart a bit as you ate, which made things a bit messy. On my second visit, I tried their pokey dish nachos with smoked salmon, and that was another hit — fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The space is big and open, with plenty of room for groups, a few TVs showing sports, and a really welcoming vibe. Service was friendly and attentive, and the location is super convenient — just a short walk from Central Station. All in all, Sydney Brewery Surry Hills is an excellent spot for great craft beer, tasty food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended — and don’t miss that IPA! 🍺

First night in Sydney and needed a cold beer. Surry Hills hit the spot, great beer, good music, and looks good. Also a bonus that it is attached to our hotel. We were too late to try the food, but we will definitely be back over the next few days.

Visited Sydney Brewery in Surry Hills, and it’s one of my favorite local breweries in Sydney. The craft beers were excellent — crisp, balanced, and brewed on-site. The variety on tap was impressive, with something for every taste. The space had a bright, open feel with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the crowd was a good mix of locals and visitors. The staff were knowledgeable and happy to chat about the beers and brewing process. Great food options too if you want to pair your drink with something light. Overall, a perfect blend of good beer, chill atmosphere, and great service — definitely worth a visit.

Tasty food and delicious beers at better-than-expected prices. Cool brick-and-rebar brewpub decor. Great location, close to public transport. (Note: if you're here at the right time, the change in lighting modes from Daylight to Mood-Lighting at 6pm is quite abrupt)

As someone who lived in Germany for 3.5 years and was looking for a place with german beer… dont ever get rid of that german lager ‘festbier” I dont have photos of anything and I think that shows how good of a time I had I never even thought of taking photos. This is a fabulous little hideaway bar and venue for live music. They brew their own boutique beer and have a good selection of beer and wines. There’s a small food menu and the pizza I tried was quite tasty. Upstairs there’s a small room and stage for live bands which will fill up at around 40/50 people. It’s an excellent venue if you want to get up close and personal with your favourite performer. A western theme dominates the room with bull horns, indian totem statue and flying bat, very cool. Downstairs is a small bar area and courtyard to drink outside. Be prepared to get there via public transport as there’s no parking accept for the broadway shopping complex parking station. Had a great time there.

Great place to hang out for a bit. Small but full of character. Approx 10 of their beers on tap at any time. Tasting paddles available. Also an interesting range of cocktails if you are visiting with friends that don’t like beer. (Why are they you friends if they don’t like beer?) I recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.

Staves is a recent addition to the micro brewery scene in the inner west in Sydney. Service is always good but the range of beers has been reduced as Staves is now brewing their own beer which is good and bad as previously they stocked beers from famous nearby breweries (Young Henry's, Drifters).. it makes for a nice change from the bars and pubs in the area so definitely check it out

Great space. Fine assortment of craft beer brewed on the premises. Wonderful, friendly, gregarious staff and exceptional service. Fantastic live music upstairs is a huge bonus as is the courtyard. The local beer brewed on the premises is top notch. Highly recommended.

Good selection of their own brews here! Some can be a bit sweet/strong (low batches) but all good. Kids are ok outside out the back (not the bar area) Quality gets better and better here

Tucked away, down a back alley, this cozy, small brewpub has some great beers on tap. When I visited, it seemed IPAs were the theme. All were excellent, all clean with no faults. The head brewer was manning the bar and was more than happy to explain anything.

the family and I were out and about in the Sydney CBD. looking for a lunch down the Circular Quay end of town. but as residents of this fine city we didn’t want anything too touristy. after not many minutes of googling we decided that’s Harts Pub will host us this fine sunny afternoon. what an outstanding establishment. old school finishes with a cracking tap beer selection. but lunch was the main element. and wow. and wow. each of the burgers presented was tip top. stacked high. with chips to spare. while there was plenty of talk about each burger. I had the Aussie Burger (as is on the menu) Soft bun. juicy smash burger. fresh salads. and that sauce. they should bottle that stuff. will be back. and have already recommended it to others. keep up the great work. thanks.

Not a vegan🙅‍♀️ The beer is fruity and very tasty. The lunch value set with chicken cutlet was generous in portion, with a crispy coating and well-balanced seasoning. The earthen-walled interior has a nice atmosphere and seems suitable for various occasions😄

It started off strange. Like the pour was different. One lady in front of me had a huge pour and mine was ho hum. 🫤 it felt like a personal attack. But the burger was fantastic. No frills good old cheeseburger . Totally awesome. Made me forget my ho hum pour lol. Also the peanut butter whiskey was really interesting. Worth a shot. And the house pour red was decent enough. Nice.

I love this pub. Great beers and an older crowd. Never packed, considering the location. Haven't eaten here but the menu was a bit "fast-food" or pub grub. It's an older crowd so it's a bit jarring that the music that they play always seems to be for a less discerning cohort to the real beer drinking clientele. Still deserve 5 stars but room for improvement

Love going to Harts Pub! Perfect casual drink or dinner in a convenient location in the city. Well priced too with a good variety on the menu. Can usually find a table early enough on a Friday night, but gets a bit busy!

Awesome experience at Mountain Goat tonight. The fish and chips were fantastic, and the Caesar salad was fresh and delicious. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and the music was at a perfect volume. The best part is that it's dog-friendly! Highly recommend.

Must try- buffalo chicken wings! Really can’t get enough of it >< Best chicken wings I’ve ever had in Sydney! I recommend Chili Choc Stout for non-beer lover, it tastes fantastic (don’t be scared of its name “Chili”). The bartender was very friendly too, allowing us the try their different specialty brews. Price was reasonable, 9.5 for Schoo & 12 for a pint.

One of the few places around that can actually cook a steak correctly and have something interesting on the side (not just a garden salad). I highly recommend the cowboy sauce that you can order with your steak. Great tasting beer that you don't need to re-mortgage your house for. Upbeat music for ambience. Nice, friendly staff. To top it off, where else has water bowls for dogs -inside!? (See opposite the bar)

Just down from the train station at King St Newtown, the Mountain Goat is a micro brewery and a great place to spend a few hours. Not only do they have a vast range of beers they brew, but they also have great food. Of course if you're not into beer, they have your usual wine, spirits and cocktails. I had the fish and chips which came with salad as well. Very tasty with crispy chips and a great salad. The fish was one of the better I've tried in a while. Wife had the salt and pepper squid which was delicious. Certainly a place to have a few beers and great food. Plenty of room as well so your not in too of each other, with an outdoor area as well. When you go you can buy a few cans of your favourite brew. If you are into your beers, they have the taster paddles or just ask at the bar to try before you buy. I'm certainly coming back. Is dog friendly.

They only do their home brew here. Beer stated a bit weird to me but I think I may get used to it. Too much bitterness. Bar man is very generous for offering us plenty of sample beers. Excellent food. American style pizzas got a real nice pull. Fries is very good!

My friends and I always have such a brilliant time with the Tuesday pool comps thanks to Slick! The way he runs the comps makes for such a brilliant night every time, the energy and atmosphere is great. The food and drinks here are lovely too, with a pretty good priced happy hour

I ordered chicken parmy and my friend ordered medium steak. Contrary to the info in menu, the staff forgot to check with me what type of sides do i want. I end up getting generic chips and bbq sauce. Didnt like the chips. My friend got sweet potato chips and that’s actually better. The steak? Not so much. Plenty of seats. Hard to get phone reception at the back.

Great old school pub down near the end of king street in Newtown. Came in on a Tuesday so not very busy. Had a few appetizers such as Korean spiced chicken wings. Very nice. Crunchy, good flavour and just a little hit of spice so if you are not a hot food fan, these are fine for you. Mac and cheese bites with a marinara sauce and some wedges. Fair price and I would of went with the 17 buck special on Tuesdays(schnitzel) but I had one the night before before. There is other good stuff on the menu and I will try next time I go. It's bigger than what it looks from the outside. It goes a good back and then opens up a bit on the left. There is a small beer garden down on the right hand side. Being the beer snob that I am, I was very impressed but what they had on tap. Looks like they have rotating taps from different brews on a regular basis. Much like hotel Sweeny in the city but this is better as you don't have to smell cigarette smoke while you are enjoying your beer. Would be nice if they served in pints and had tables out front or at least seats at a window so you can do some people watching. My first time here and will definately come back, especially to try new beers.

A great pub for locals and travelers alike and the best craft beer selection in the Newtown / Erko area. They run 15-20 taps, with meal, drink, and pool specials throughout the week. Food is best described as pub and some 'elevated' pub fare, and is quite solid with standouts being the eggplant parmi and lamb ragu. Front of house bar area is mostly for watching sports, live music, playing pool, or drinks with mates. Back of the house dining area provides a quieter experience that is very friendly for small and large groups alike.

Fantastic venue if you love craft beer and pub style food. The tap selection is one of the best in Sydney and the kitchen does pub food extremely well. Front bar is great for sport's and the bistro bar has a good atmosphere

Visiting a friend for an hour or so and decided to nip into the Union Hotel for a couple of cold beers and an early lunch. Situated in a busy hub of inner city activity. Loads of traffic but off street parking away from the Main Street and also public transport make it accessible and easy to get to from anywhere and everywhere. Beer prices match most if not all inner city pubs and the chicken wings with hot sauce was very well made and delicious. Pricy but again there’s the option not to eat. So you get what you want when you ask for it. Pool tables and lots of seating with booths, table top square for foursomes and raised round bar tables and barstools for singles and or couples. Union Hotel wasn’t busy but enough trade to give it a nice calm inner city vibe. Outside is a semi-covered area for drinking, smoking and vaping. There is also an extended dining area as well as well as a pokies area just off to the right of the main bar. Pleasant, clean with easy going and friendly staff with a selection of traditional good pub food including a diverse beer selection.

My son just had his 21st at 7th Day Brewery in Brookvale. We booked the cozy corner and found the whole experience an absolute pleasure. The staff were amazing, great beer, great atmosphere and amazing pizzas from Sale Pepe. Absolutely top night. Thanks Guys :)

What a Venue! A little of the beaten track is this amazing microbrewery and Pizzeria. The service was so friendly from instant greetings treating you like family to amazing recommendations from the staff. Everyone was happy and smilingly and was very welcoming and warming to go into. With such great tasting beer a lot of very good options to choose from! A beer for every taste, and taste is the word to use! But it doesn't stop there! The food was 5 star! Classic authentic food clearly made with love. With happy hour and special deals going this seems to be the place to goto on the beaches! I'm going to have to make this my regular absolutely blown away by everything!

Absolutely love 7th Day Brewery! We recently celebrated our engagement party there, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were incredible – so helpful, friendly, and genuinely made the night feel special for us and all our guests. The vibe, the service, the people – everything was spot on. Oh, and the beer? Hands down the best in Sydney. Every single one we tried was top-notch. Massive thank you to the team for making such a special occasion even more memorable. 7th day brewery was awesome. Drinks were super yummy and there was plenty of choice. Food from Sale Pepe next door was also amazing. Pizza and sides were delicious. Will definitely be back.

The beers, food and ambience is great. Staff are friendly will recommend certain craft beers if you’re not so sure what you want to get. They provide different events every week (djs, live bands etc)

We met Chris from Archie Rose at a pop-up store in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney, that's Sydney 2000 NSW. Archie Rose whiskey and whisky are made from Sydney water and go through a 6 layer hexagon water filtration to produce some very good products. This is a product made in Sydney, is product is a distillery and it's aiming to be making the best in the world. I reckon so far they're well on the way to being the best. Imagine that Sydney Australia with the best whisky in the world. Keep up the good work Chris. Chris wy share more on the video I took Whilst we tested the product. The first sample we tried was more rye influenced and I actually found it too be rather to my liking. It made me feel warm through and was pretty smooth to the point that I'm still savouring it an hour later. The second was more scotch orientated, and had hints of chocolate and honey. The third we tried was like nectar it was awesome, so smooth and gone so quickly. Chris said their cellar door was in Rosebery, Sydney, NSW. Scan the QR code in the photo and that will take you too their shop. Lastly, what a find it was for us, we've been out on a walking tour when the rains came down, and down and down. Once again the rain in Spain fell on the plains of Sydney town...

My partner and I did the whiskey blending workshop at Archie Rose and absolutely loved it. It was a fun, hands-on experience where we learnt a lot about the distillery’s history and the whiskey-making process. The team was knowledgeable and welcoming, and we got to create our own personalised blend to take home. Would definitely recommend for any whiskey lover or as a thoughtful gifting experience—unique, informative, and a great way to spend a few hours.

We attended the Archie Rose distillery tour and tasting. It lasted about 1 hour and we got to sample 4 gins and 4 whiskies. It was a nice tour about the history and current vision of Archie rose. Some classics were made with an Australian touch. Some gins are limited run and can only be tried at the bar. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and interested in what they do. Bar are is incredible with a large selection of drinks. They are very helpful in recommending how to mix the specific product you may purchase. I’d recommend the tour and finishing off at the bar.

After following Archie Rose on Instagram for ages, I finally made it—unexpectedly, but so worth it! We popped in for a drink while waiting for dinner elsewhere, and it was the perfect little detour. The ambience was effortlessly chill, the drinks menu had great variety, and the customer service was excellent. Our group enjoyed beers, cocktails, and mocktails—all delicious! I’m already looking forward to going back, this time to try their snacks too. If you’re after a relaxed yet refined spot for drinks, Archie Rose is definitely one to check out.

We recently attended a whisky class at Archie Rose and had a fantastic time. The instructor was knowledgeable and engaging—sharing insights into the distillery’s history, offering great whisky recommendations, and walking us through the entire whisky-making process. The experience was excellent value: we received a welcome drink and got to take home two custom 200ml bottles. Just a tip—be mindful of the quantities when crafting your blend, as they can’t provide extra due to legal regulations. We also ordered the charcuterie board, which was fresh and flavorful—a perfect pairing to the experience. Overall, it’s a great way to spend quality time with loved ones, learn something new, and enjoy a unique, well-rounded tasting session.

My boyfriend and I went to the whisky making class and had a great time learning about the history of Archie Rose and the whisky making processes. We spent some time at the bar afterwards, and the class host, Mattias, provided the PERFECT whisky recommendation (Joadja) suited to my partner's tastes. My boyfriend had never met me prior, nor been to Australia before, and the highlight of the entire 2-week itinerary I planned was meeting his soul whisky. So, thanks for stealing my boyfriend, Mattias.

Have been many times over the years. But tonight was so bad we will not be back. Staff too busy hanging with friends at the end of the bar. Leaving a long line to order. If they are on a break best to have them not be together with friends. Onre poor staff member doing everything else. Should have taken the hint from staff when she asked if wanted extra with the nachos as there is no sauce. Thought sounded a bit odd but still ordered. As you can see from the photo the nachos were dry.

Chips have both good texture and flavour. Burger was big, juicy and didn't scimp out on the fried chicken. Idk about the nachos.

What a fun place. Fantastic beers and great food. These guys are passionate about their business but have plenty of time to talk about the what, where and how of making some of the best beers in Australia. Special beers must be treated and take away options are very good.

Location, location. And you pay for it. It's a great bar with fantastic food and a cool beer tap selection. The beers were great, but got 3 different prices for 3 beers. Ranging from 12.60 to 14.80. A middy of Hard Rated was 10.60. So, yep. It's an expensive round. But it's worth it in regards to location. The canned nachos were fantastic. We ordered with extra jalopenos. It's a pretty place with plenty of colours and flowers. I'd definitely give it a go.

I had a brief visit to Henley’s Bar & Kitchen but was genuinely impressed and wished I could have stayed longer. The location is absolutely ideal—right in the heart of the city, with a great mix of urban energy and relaxed coastal charm. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the atmosphere: modern, welcoming, and effortlessly cool. The interior has a stylish, contemporary design with thoughtful details, and the outdoor seating offers a perfect spot to people-watch or soak in the surroundings. Even though I didn’t have time for a full meal, the menu looked fantastic, with a great variety of dishes and drinks that cater to all tastes. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome right away. It’s the kind of place you could easily lose track of time in, whether you’re grabbing a casual drink or settling in for a long lunch. I’m already looking forward to returning for a longer visit so I can properly enjoy what Henley’s has to offer. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in the area!

Had come into King St Wharf with the fam to find some indoor activities to keep the kids entertained on a wet and miserable Sunday. After a bit of ten pin bowling we found Henley’s Bar & Kitchen. Heaps of great options on the menu and we ended up deciding to share some pizzas. Kids got the Margherita and the wife and I had the chorizo. Bases were great and the chorizo was delicious, very impressed. Very good selection of beers on tap and good to see a couple of independent beers there too. Treated myself to a pint of the Mountain Culture Status Quo but only had one as at $21.25 for a pint I’ll need to remortgage the house. This was including the Sunday surcharge but damn, that’s an expensive pint. No wonder people are drinking less out these days. Kids wanted to grab the donut fries too but didn’t get a picture of them as they got devoured as soon as they hit the table. Overall atmosphere was a bit quiet compared to other places on the strip, but considering our youngest has super high anxiety out in public it suited our family perfectly. Also, the lady who served us was great, nothing was too hard and she was keen to help out. I’d be keen to try more on the menu but not sure if I could stomach paying over $20 for a Pale Ale pint again.

Came here simply because ThePass app gave me a credit that was too good to let it go to waste. 😅 My husband and I came here for lunch on a Saturday. We ordered the following to share: • Mozzarella Sticks • Cheeseburger Spring Rolls • Crispy Chicken Wings • Prawn Tacos • Meatball Sub The entree items (the first 4 on the list) were all very delicious and more-ish! Mozzarella Sticks had a nice batter and the typical gooey centre. Cheeseburger Spring Rolls tasted just like a cheeseburger but in spring roll form although I must say, my husband’s version is MUCH better! 😏 The Crispy Chicken Wings had the most satisfying Asian-style flavours. I recall saying it would be paired so wonderfully with some steamed rice! 🤤🍚 The Prawn Tacos were very generous for what it was. It felt like a mini meal for 1 if you weren’t feeling particularly hungry or didn’t want to eat much. This was so good too! We halved the Meatball Sub. It came with these rustic fries and who doesn’t love fries?! 😄 The meatball itself was quite dry and not my favourite thing on the menu for this meal. I couldn’t finish my share of the sub so I gave it to my husband to eat. The service was extremely attentive and helpful. The gentleman who served us a jug of water and some pretzels after we sat down at the padded booth seat inside the establishment was topnotch. The pretzels were a really unexpected and nice touch. 😊🥰 The venue played 90s hits and it felt very nostalgic to us. We really enjoyed it! The venue took over the old La Cita nightclub that I used to frequent when I was in my 20s. The good times! 😁

I recently organised a school reunion in the upstairs area of Henley's and from the start the staff could not have been more professional or helpful. Will as the functions manager was courteous and had plenty of ideas with catering and layout for the day all of which we took on board with great success on the day. Aosaf and Henry were all hands on deck during the day which ran smoothly and provided a great afternoon for all in attendance. Everyone commented on the amount of food, the quality, its distribution and flavour. Henry nd Aosaf provided quick service with a smile all day as nothing was a problem. Thank you for your efforts as itt made for a memorable day for a bunch of 60 somethings.

An Absolute Gem at King Street Wharf! Henley's Bar & Kitchen is, hands down, one of the best pubs in Sydney. The location alone, right on King Street Wharf, makes it a must-visit, offering a perfect, vibrant waterside setting. The atmosphere here is electric but still relaxed,the outdoor seating is ideal for soaking up the Darling Harbour energy. What really elevates the experience is the fantastic live music; it sets the perfect backdrop for a long afternoon or evening out. The drinks menu is superb. They truly live up to the promise of "great cocktails." We tried a few of their signatures, and each one was expertly made and refreshing. The food from the Kitchen was also top-notch, confirming that this place excels across the board. The staff were friendly, efficient, and genuinely happy to help. If you’re looking for a spot with amazing views, stellar cocktails, and lively entertainment, look no further than Henley's. Five stars, easily!

Nice outdoor, casual bar near Darlington Harbour. Good for party vibes as lots of bachelor and bachelorette groups. Music isn’t too loud so you can chat too. Quick service and nice staff. If it’s cold they will turn on the heater for you!

Perfect Surprise 50th at The Village Inn – Incredible Night! I recently threw a surprise 50th birthday party for my partner at The Village Inn in Paddington, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Sweets was incredible in helping me organise everything — so down to earth, calm, and on top of every detail. The space was just right for our group, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made it feel both special and relaxed. The food was fantastic (everyone commented on it!), the staff were attentive and friendly, and the whole night ran so smoothly. Most importantly, everyone had a brilliant time — and the birthday boy was completely surprised and over the moon. Highly recommend The Village Inn for any celebration. We’ll be talking about that night for a long time!

A nicely located pub, set within a smart, greatly gentrified area of Paddington. To be thought of as a " village inn," however, it seems a roaring log fire - it was cold the other evening.

Dog friendly ! So good and welcoming ! Great chips with truffle and Parmesan but a bit exxy at $16. We went steak night. Unfortunately my steak was very chewy but others said theirs was great. I think it was the wrong cut to ask for rare. Very enjoyable evening.

A lovely English pub off the Oxford rd which was gorgeous in the sunshine! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, especially the manager, George. The food was really fresh and delicious - the chicken schnitzel seemed to be a very popular option! Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

I don't usually write reviews, but after my experience at The Village Inn in Paddington, I felt compelled to share just how special this place is and especially to give a massive shoutout to Abdul, the security guard, who absolutely made our night. From the moment we arrived, there was a warm, welcoming energy. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of laid-back and lively, with friendly staff, great music, and a crowd that actually feels like a community. It’s rare to find a venue that strikes that balance so well. But the real standout? Abdul. He’s not just a security guard, he’s the heart and soul of the place. Calm, kind, and incredibly professional, Abdul has this way of making everyone feel safe and valued. He greeted us with a smile, remembered our names by the end of the night, and checked in to make sure we were having a good time without ever being intrusive.

We had never been to the Village Inn, but saw it while walking through Paddington, and we were hungry for a lunch. The place looked nice, it was busy, the reviews looked good. However, this was the worst lunch we ever had. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with mustard, mayo, and fried onion. The sandwich was a small baguette cut in half, the roast beef was so chewy, Almost choked on it, and the mustard, mayo and onions were hard to find. My partner had the bangers and mash, but the bangers were only two thin sausages, which looked like they had been in the pan for just 3 minutes or so. And the sausages tasted weird, a bit sour. The chips and mash were the best part of our lunch. Very disappointing. And as both meals were bad, I can't believe that all the positive reviews are actually genuine. Or we were unlucky with "chef" in the kitchen Yesterday.

My favourite pub in Sydney! Such a gorgeous location and lovely staff, particularly Abdul the security guard. He is so accommodating and always ensures everyone is comfortable and has a table. My friends and I always have a wonderful time there!

Mountain Culture has been one of my favourite breweries for a long time, but, I generally only have their beers in cans due to not living near their 2 locations. Having previously been to their Katoomba location we decided to try the Emu Plains location this time around. They have a huge range of delicious craft beers on tap, with a good mix of core range and special/limited brews. The burgers from the burger truck were delicious. Accessibility is limited however there is a disabled lift to use for wheelchairs, prams, etc. No area or activities for children so this could limit your stay here. We will return.

Dang, I gave 5 stars but the burger truck “smokey sue’s” is just not. Ah well. No one else’s fault but yours.

My favourite place to visit for a pint. Heavy on the IPA, which I don't like, but there is usually a lager or two on tap too. GREAT food trucks. Will miss Stripped which was my favourite. Staff are really nice and friendly. You can take dogs. There is and inside and outside. Great for kids to run around. Chilled and laidback vibe. Really, really nice venue.

Mountain Culture Factory and Taproom in Emu Plains exceeded my expectations! I had the pleasure of trying their One Two Punch sour beer, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of tartness. The atmosphere at the taproom was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their brews. I can't wait to go back and try more of their offerings!

There are some amazing beers on tap all Mountain Culture’s own brews. 20 taps with so much variety. The staff are super friendly. This quiet location is very underrated and is a must visit brewery if you are in the area. They also have a Two Bays Gluten Free beer for anyone with Coeliac Disease. Drop in for a few beers

Firstly, the beer is outstanding, and well worth the trip! There's plenty of room here for the kids to run around, there's picnic tables outside. You can buy takeaway from cellar door bar downstairs, or head upstairs for a tasting, beer paddles, or just settle in with your favourite and a few good mates. On Fridays and Saturdays they have a wood fire pizza food truck with delicious hot and ready-made pizzas right at the front door. The location at the foothills of the Blue Mountains makes it an ideal place for you to stop in on your way up (or down) the mountains! The staff are all lovely and helpful and I hope you will help support this great local Aussie business!

The Q is a great strategic pitstop if you’re looking for craft beer in Pyrmont. It’s a short walk up from Darling Harbour and also the Fish Markets. A revolving tap list which caters for all tastes - from the tame to the insane. In quiet times the staff are happy to talk brews with you and if you make it all the way up to the rooftop you can hang out with the cacti. I personally prefer the little beer garden or just hanging out in the saloon style front bar.

This fabulous heritage listed pub just oozes history and that begs to be respected. Early evening Monday, very quiet, but by about 7pm people started to arrive at this nostalgic watering hole. The food was scrumptious pub grub, the servings are generous and well presented and EXCELLENT VEGETARIAN BURGER as well! The service absolutely fantastic. Felt like we mattered and when our meals arrived the staff asked if we needed any sauces or accompaniments. We indulged in lots of different sauces that were old school YUMMMM The interesting vintage/retro inspired artistic interior design really compliments the heritage vibes, so stylish with rustic charm. Highly recommend ~ ohhh and there is a rooftop bar that wasn’t open on the Monday night, but I’m told the views are sublime. FIVE STARS

I am so pleased with this bar. Staff are charming. Lighting is ambient. Killer tunes playing. TV Screens show sport but no volume - which is perfect. It is clean and very well kept. We did not eat so I cannot comment on the food.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a fantastic experience at the rooftop of Quarryman’s Hotel! The ambience was absolutely delightful, with great views and a cosy atmosphere. The heaters were a huge plus, especially with the chilly weather these days – we stayed warm and comfortable the whole time. We ordered the Korean fried chicken and chicken schnitzel (which came with chips and salad). These dishes were amazing – high quality and absolutely delicious. The jug of Pepsi was perfect for our group of three, allowing each of us to enjoy two glasses. Service was top-notch; our food arrived quickly and was obviously freshly made, given how hot it was. Overall, we loved our time here and highly recommend Quarryman’s Hotel for a great dining experience!

Went here for dinner tonight, and i was very impressed, one of the best pubs I have ever been to. I ordered the chicken parma, which was absolutely delicious, and the portion was massive for $26. It's definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a good pub meal in the Pyrmont/Darling Harbour area.

For a pub.... its actully amazing. Again I need to visit a place three times to confirm that its not just a lucky one off delicious meal.... they nailed it all three times. When you go there make sure you get the mushroom sauce ... its is the mist amazing sauce you will.ever have. It goes wity everything. A beer. Your fries. Your dessert. EVERYTHING. thank you for finally being a pub that gets it right.

I went here for the first time earlier this week for a beer with my sister who is staying nearby. The atmosphere was great, they had lots of great beers, and from what I witnessed the food looked pretty good too. I’ll be back.

A nice local pub. Chicken parmy was delicious! The red sauce was perfection. I asked for vegetables instead of chips. I only wish there was more chips and vegetables, you can see it didn't even fill the plate. The salt and pepper calamari was very nice also. Nice drink selection.

Lovely pub with delicious food and a decent range of beer (a good mix of old familiars and more crafty tipples). Pints are available if price by volume matters to you. Food specials every day and, if your request for extra bibs and bobs isn't excessive, able to be adjusted to suit almost any palate. The staff range from old, experienced hands (Hi Mick!) to a troupe of students. All are friendly and welcoming and do their best to make you feel welcome. I'll be back.

From the moment we walked in, the service and atmosphere were exceptional. Ashley, the manager, deserves special mention for the way she leads and connects with both her team and guests. She was attentive, hands-on, and ensured that everything in the restaurant ran seamlessly. It’s rare to see a manager so genuinely engaged and proactive in creating a positive dining experience. When we asked to move to a high table and requested chairs with backrests due to my daughter’s back condition, Ashley was immediately understanding and accommodating — her empathy and professionalism really stood out. The food was delicious, the service was consistent and the overall vibe was warm and inviting. A big shoutout to Yosher behind the bar for his excellent service and friendly energy — he complemented the great experience perfectly. It’s clear that this place values both quality and hospitality. This place is massive. So many options for seating, indoor and outdoor. The atmosphere is very laid back, it seems like the type of place you'd randomly stumble upon and sit in to chat with friends over drinks and some light food. The service during Covid allows you to order online on your phone and it will send the order to the kitchen, which is really neat. The service is laid back but helpful and very friendly, it suits the chill vibe. The food itself is alright, I liked the wings the most. It was a little sweet in the way that American BBQ sauce is sweet, but it wasn't bad at all. To enter and exit the establishment, there is a set of stairs that need to be climbed. As far as I know, I didn't see any ramps, so it may be challenging for those with walking difficulties and whatnot. I'll probably come back to try some of the other menu items and update the review when I'm in the area.

Friendly staff. Value for money $10 pizza on the weekend plus specials on each day. Fusion (Thai Aussie) pub food. Vegan options available. Delicious. Seating comfy with some board games available for kids. There are a few steps in both the entrances so not wheelchair or pram friendly. Been here a few times this year already. Booking essential. Food never disappoints.

Good place for gathering but food was so so, burger had no flavour

The welcome hotel is a nice out of the way place but still in the middle of town. I had the chicken schnitzel and it was delicious but the construction of the dish was something else. The chicken was cooked spot on and the crumb was great. The tomato base was on the bottom or the first layer on the plate ( different). Then real Parma ham on top with buffalo mozzarella on top. Fantastic. The rocket salad (which I normally hate ) It wasn’t the peppery one and had a little parmesan cheese on it, I would have liked a bit more but I ate more than I thought. 5 out of five plates cleaned.

The Welcome Hotel in Rozelle is a gorgeous back street corner pub, tucked away from the main drag. It's where locals go. It's got a front bar, a dining room and a courtyard out back. Something for everybody. The menu is extensive, way bigger and more adventurous than your average pub. They offer three cuts of steak: a 300g rump, a 250g sirloin, and a 400g porterhouse. We ordered the 250g sirloin. No mash option offered, so we ordered some 'Paris mash' as a side, which was nothing like genuine Paris mash, if we're being honest. The steak was good, although nowhere near their claimed 250g. The mash was not as creamy as Paris mash should be and the chicken gravy ruined it. Good mash doesn't need gravy, it just needs the meat accompaniment. Easy. Whilst the food was good, not great, but good, the front bar itself is an absolute gem. It's cosy, has a ton of tap beer options, and has a nice deep bar top - perfecting for sitting at and leaning on. And they had AFL on the TV. Result! The Welcome is a good pub!

What a Rozelle institution! Fantastic front bar - eat inside, the ambiance is unparalleled. The Scotch Fillet is one of the best valued steaks in Sydney. Cooked perfectly and not traditional in any way/shape/form, but perfect in its own Welcome way. Awesome pub!

Black Angus sirloin was delicious unfortunately the Yorkshire pudding was burnt & the potatoes overcooked - $38 All in all it was a good Sunday roast. Tip: make sure you book this place gets busy!!!

Best pub in an area of a lot of good pubs. Food is always on point and specials always interesting and new. Beer taps change regularly and nice and fresh. Can’t wait for my next visit.

By far the best pub in Rozelle. The staff are devoted to a great personal experience even at the busiest of times. Beer garden, dog friendly, although I like the more intimate front bar (and prefer cats) the Sunday pork roast is the best we have had in years anywhere in Sydney.

Since I moved to Redfer, the Noble Hops has definitely been one of my regular spots. They have a wide range of beer, cider, and other drink options, and the team is simply lovely. They don't serve food, but they allow to bring your own food from the restaurants around and even order from there, so that is sorted. Totally recommend it if you are around.

Finally got a chance to visit The Noble Hops when I was over that side of town for a mid week gig at Carriageworks. Had heard good things about this bar and was keen to get in a few pre gig beers. They had a very good tap list with a wide variety of crafties, mainly from NSW breweries which was awesome to see. We managed to sample a few different beers before show time. Loved the fact you could order food from any of the local food spots and they would deliver to your table. We went with the pizza option from La Coppola across the street which was delicious. This seemed to be the popular option for many others also drinking at the bar. Can’t wait to get back here for a few more beers next time I’m on this side of town.

Noble Hops is an absolute gem in Redfern. They’ve always got an incredible rotating lineup of beers on tap — from local favourites to unique brews you won’t find anywhere else. The cocktails are top-notch too, clearly made with care and creativity. What really makes this place stand out is their passion — they even do a bit of gypsy brewing themselves, and it shows in the craftsmanship and attention to detail. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely community-focused. Even though there’s no kitchen, they encourage you to grab food from nearby venues, which is such a great way to support other local businesses. Whether you’re dropping in for a casual drink, a catch-up with mates, or just to explore what’s new on tap, Noble Hops never disappoints. Easily one of the best bars in Sydney.

One of the better bars in the area. Good beer with great service. Bartenders know their stuff, atmosphere is always welcoming. You can buy their glasses as well, which are pretty well priced as well. Edit: been here many, many times over the last few years and still as good as ever. New bartenders are still friendly, whole venue is still fantastic

Quality venue, as a lonely Brit moving here on my own, I found some great people to talk to, would highly recommend the same to anyone seeking a chat with unfamiliar faces. The bartender was fantastic and I’m looking forward to their event on the 12th of April Church is nearby

Great English style cafe with a laid back pub vibe, they brew all their own beers on tap. Big selection of beers and even some English style lagers. Love the Sunday roast, we had pork with all the trimmings. Cheers Jeremy, Mosman Tennis Coaching

Great beer, good vibes. Live music on Sunday's. Some excellent craft beers!! Update: They're still doing great beers and food but the council has taken over some of their space to make a public park area. They could do with some extra support and are running a weekly draw. The paddles are a great way to try their range and find your favourite 👌 Really good food. The chips are the best mix of crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! The sweet potato ones are good too 😋 Another update: we keep coming back and keep getting blown away by amazing quality of drinks and food! The roast potatoes are to die for!!

Great cosy place that had German beer on tap during Oktoberfest season.

We got here late on a Sunday afternoon and were welcomed with open arms. The staff were helpful in letting us know when the kitchen was going to close so we could order. This place has a really good selection of craft beer imports as well as an onsite brewery with some absolute gems! Including a lovely barley wine. We were treated with a quick tour of the brewing operations too. Coming back when time allows to sample more of the menu.

We live within 500m of this bar and would love to regularly visit however every time we have been here we have not experienced warm customer service and accomodation of our 2 young children. The children’s menu is limited so we have purchased pizza for our children from the adjacent pizza restaurant but were asked to leave as it wasn’t purchased from them. Even after we tried to compromise and move outside so the kids could sit outside of their licensed area and we could still stand within the designated space to finish our beers they would not accommodate. Shame as they have not just lost our business today but ongoing. We’ll head into cammeray instead

Bar staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Beers were great, rhey brew a the beers on-site. Also have a substantial food menu. Although we didn't to try the food, I look forward to coming back for the weekly specials after sighting Laksa and Curry on the board, perfect Winter warmers. Being right at the entry of the motorway, I would encourage you to sit inside during peak hour.

We came here tonight for the first time and LOVED everything. The team were so incredibly helpful with us bringing a cake for our daughter, the whole bloody venue sang her happy birthday including the live musician, the food was great (best chips and pulled pork burger!!!!) and the seating reserved for us was perfect. Our dog was also allowed anywhere in the venue which was perfect. Great venue. Highly recommend.

Nice little brewery brew pub with a good variety of beer styles on tap. Belgium IPA was very good with a nice balance of flavors. Citra and mosaic IPA was nice, not enough IBUs for my taste. "Best burger" was good, but not the best in my opinion. Popcorn chicken was very good and so was the buffalo cauliflower bites. Beers were on the expensive side. Worth a visit if you love beer.

The beer was a 5/5. Standout was the citra and mosaic IPA (at 7.2%). Hazy was not the best though. Unfortunately the food was 1/5. The worst nachos I've ever eaten. Cheese not melted, whole thing cold and brisket just bland. Brisket burger also really bad. Disappointing as had food here a few years ago and the brisket loaded fries were spectacular. I recommended this to our group and I was left with egg on my face (or unmelted cheese after it was thrown at me anyway).

Absolutely loved it here. The staff went the extra mile to cater for my taste preferences. The hosted a fun Quiz night on Thursday, and bonus points for dogs being allowed.

I love this place, we go there every thursday night for trivia and it's so great. Great burgers and tasty drinks, the staff are really lovely and welcoming. Trivia is an absolute blast. I recommend people to check it out

Decent setup with typical brewery vibes. Great live musician on Sundays. A few good beers on offer including a mid strength Aussie Lager which should see you through while you stay to listen to the music. Food truck on site too, with a sign that says 'Voted best burger in Australia'. I didn't try it but it smelled great.
