The Dawn Fraser Baths is a harbour-side swimming pool that can get a little dirty but is otherwise great for swimming. It's open during the summer months and is one of the best pools in Sydney.
Definitely worth a visit and a swim. Such an interesting layout that feels like you’ve traveled to a far away place, nothing like this in Sydney. $7 entry for an adult and the water can be a merky brown but still great and vibes are high. Lots of people jumping off the wharfs and having fun.
Caleb V — Google review
Love this gem, clean bathrooms and showers, lots of shade, small coffee shop, relax ambience.
Yamy F — Google review
A gem in Balmain 💙 We had a pleasant experience in the baths. The space was clean, civil, and respectful patrons all around. The water was refreshing, and views like the water and trees surrounding the space are very relaxing. There are places to sit and chill and basic toilet/shower amenities. The stairs can be steep, so take care when coming in and out. The baths have this historical feel and vibe about it as well. Staff and lifeguards are friendly and helpful.
Monica G — Google review
Lovely place for a summer dip. Good clean amenities and lots of places for shade and enjoy the sun.
Torika V — Google review
Great public swim spot, not so accessible though. Recommend a visit
Danielle C — Google review
Very unique spot, tucked away and surrounded by a gorgeous lush garden. There is plenty of room in shade and sun. Nice cool water very cool to go to a pool where people can bomb & jump in seems rare these days! The floor is super super hot around the decking I’d bring sandals next time… locals seemed unbothered by how how burning hot the ground was 😆 also jellyfish & stingrays
Kallista R — Google review
Amazing place to spend a warm, sunny day. The entire is very spacious and clean. Decent showers and change rooms for everyone as well (male, female, unisex, family) There's a small patch of sand for a beach-y, free swim. They also have a lap area with 4-5 lanes. There were some jellyfish around in the lap area, so just be careful. The ladders and planks can be slippery too but nothing too dangerous.
Janice C — Google review
This was on my bucket list, and I was not disappointed. The historic Dawn Fraser Baths. It is technically a river baths, which has been enclosed. The facility, after its recent upgrade, looks amazing. The staff were very friendly. Loved having the place to myself. Well worth a visit.

Public swimming pool
Bronte Baths is a historic saltwater rock pool located at the southern end of Bronte Beach, offering a picturesque setting surrounded by rugged cliffs. Dating back to 1883, it has become an iconic spot for swimming and sunbathing. The area is known for attracting a diverse crowd, including Sydney celebrities and models. While it can get crowded in the summer months, visiting during cooler times offers a serene experience with clear and quiet waters.
Loved everything about this place. 6am sunrise swim was amazing. Beautiful stunning location. Enjoyed the waves crashing up the sides, watching the surfers, the water was fresh and clean. I’d go here everyday if I lived nearby. Highly recommend!
Haley K — Google review
Although not as crowded as Bondi, Bronte is still a large and busy beach. It was one of the beaches where we spent the most time. Like many other beaches, it has rock-carved pools that were thoughtfully designed years ago and add to the experience. However, what we enjoyed the most was the thrill of surfing in its lively waves.
Nurcihan K — Google review
This iconic rock pool is a must-visit for anyone who loves swimming. It’s a popular spot for locals, and I thoroughly enjoyed my morning swim as the sun rose. I highly recommend it.
Yousef D — Google review
Love ❤️ Bronte Beach Baths Enclosed swimming pool as well as natural swimming area with shallow water suitable for children as well as adults, toilet and shower facilities are also available. The beach and the surrounding area is very nice. The bogey hole sometimes might be a bit rough depending on the the conditions!!! I still remember the great times I had here as a child. Great spot for 👪 families ,today the water was dirty and conditions rough
John K — Google review
Less people and smaller than Bondi, but free. It’s a little muddy in the pool, I got tangled by some long hair on my face a few time. Pool is 30m length, about 150-180cm deep.
Jasper L — Google review
A truly beautiful part of the Sydney coast beaches where locals gather for their morning walk, swim or leisure activities. A must for any visitor to Sydney…..busses operate to the beach and after the beach effort endless cafes are provided to enjoy that serve up every dish you can dream of….make sure if swimming on the beach to STAY between the flags…..the rips in the sea can be very dangerous…..enjoy
J N — Google review
A fun place to soak in the sun and take some nice photos. Paradise water and a cool man made pool that connects to the ocean. The crowd here was teenagers most were here hanging out in the pool. Some of them jumped from the high rocks into the pool. Definitely cool to see but there was barbed wire at the top where the kids were jumping so I have a feeling the authorities aren’t fans of this activity.
Mike O — Google review
My favourite place to swim in Sydney. Great 30 meter pool, with space for people wanting to do laps, and those who just want to soak up the water, rays and views. Has showers and toilets, can choose between beach swims in Bogey Hole, Gentleman's Hole or the beach. Extensive area of grass or sand on the beach Choose your own adventure

Prince Alfred Park Public Pool, located in Surry Hills near Central Station, is a modern outdoor pool offering a 50-meter lap pool, a family-friendly pool, and plenty of shaded lounging areas. The facility also includes a splash pad, swim shop, and cafe. Visitors can enjoy the clean and heated pools while soaking up the sun in this inner-city oasis. Families with kids can take advantage of the designated kid-friendly area while others can make use of basketball and tennis courts for some exercise.
We swam several times a week at this 50m clean, well shaded public pool! Great bathrooms, showers, clean change rooms, and large grassed surroundings with loungers and chairs under bright yellow sun unbrellas right next to Central train station! Friendly staff!
Michèle B — Google review
Friendly staff, convenient location, I like the warm pool water in the morning. Quite many swimmers in weekday mornings haha
Rex ( — Google review
One of the best public pools in Sydney. Heated and clean water, with warm showers with doors for privacy. Nice shade area to rest as well. Simply amazing.
Daniela R — Google review
Really love this tennis court! Well maintained
Yuliannova L — Google review
Friendly staff and an awesome location right next to Central and just outside the CBD with free lockers and hot showers. There’s plenty of umbrellas for shade and an expansive grassy area to relax poolside. It’s an easy walk from Central or Redfern Station. 50m pool split across 9 lanes with the standard slow, medium and fast lane options. There is also squad training on offer as well as learn to swim classes. The pool can be split with a divider to be 25m, and lanes can be booked in the 25 or 50m lengths for events and parties. As at 2021, it’s $6.90 for an adult entry, which is good value considering the location.
Aaron B — Google review
Great pool, good staff, but: all summer the showers are so hot it hurts, then every winter without fail the heating goes out and it's cold swims and cold showers. And no ETA on a fix.
Piers G — Google review
Heated pool, beautiful grassy area to sit in, clean bathrooms, coffee machine is actually good!
Luka O — Google review
Really impressed with this pool. Firstly it was a very clean facility, wether that’s because it has just reopened after Covid lockdown or this is always the case remains to be seen but my experience was a good one. The water was relatively warm as it is a heated pool, I know sometimes they are ‘heated’ but still feel cold, this pool was a comfortable temperature. The staff were polite. There are seats available with shade.

North Sydney Olympic Pool is a renowned leisure complex featuring both an outdoor and indoor pool, along with a gym that offers stunning views of the harbor. This iconic Olympic-sized pool, dating back to 1936, boasts Art Deco details such as decorative plasterwork and brickwork. Its prime location near Luna Park and overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge makes it a picturesque spot for swimming and capturing memorable photos.
Excellent swimming pool for all kind of different speeds. Good access via public transport through Milson Point station. Other swimmers are kind and pick lanes according to their speed level. Can get crowded after 5pm though.
Jörg P — Google review
Living in Kirribilli it was once a great pool for me daily and apart from crass look-at-me-mom aggressive man-child aussies who seem to think they are Olympians and are so clearly not, the experience was excellent. What a location.
ElephantEars P — Google review
First of all, great location! Big and clean pool, separated lanes for beginners and experts. You will find lockers where you can keep your things and changing rooms. As disadvantage i will say that 20$ for entrance are a bit much, especially if you think that shower is not free.
Panayotis I — Google review
Amazing View, Amazing Pool, Amazing place. Half day must spend at least. Very easy to access thru Milson's Point Station. No car park, except on public streets. Cost for 1 hour is $5 and maximum2 hrs. Expensive restaurant inside. Close by beautiful park under Harbour Bridge. Near by Bar, Restaurants and eateries. Prices moderate. Make sure you ask for upstairs lockers NOT near the pool. Extra 0.50c for hot water.
Metti H — Google review
The big outdoor pool is a saline pool, which has a different feel than chorine, and won't eat away at your swimsuit/pool gear. The lifesavers are professional and friendly. I was asked not to use paddles while swimming; I guess they've had people hit by them before, so they play it safe. To Americans: The swimming here is clockwise, not counter-clockwise, so stay left!
David S — Google review
Staff rude. Girl at front couldn’t even crack a smile. Sorry maybe I’m old fashioned but I believe customer service should start with a smile!!!! Cafe seems outdated, we are about to enter the year 2018... please rethink your options for food... not sustainable. Didn’t eat anything because nothing there I would eat. Coffee was not bad. Some of the chairs on the top deck are broken. Maybe you should fix? Purchase some updated chairs? Charging $8 for an adult to visit, yet chairs are broken or don’t work as expected. Little kids were allowed to run around like crazy on the top deck as well? Where is the respect? I see that parents are responsible for their kids, but the staff could have also ask them to stop. Personally, can’t see how I would spend another dollar going into that pool when we live in a city with beaches.. but I am glad I went and experienced it (as I live so close by), but I think one experience is enough for me!
Jade A — Google review
Amazing location and view 👌🏻 You can’t beat a view like this and enjoying an outdoor refreshing swim.
Michael L — Google review
It’s a great pool to visit if you haven’t been here before, the 50 m pool is old and efforts have been made to upgrade but it’s an old pool but it’s at an amazing location, views at dusk are incredible. There is also a modern indoor pool if it gets too cold/windy for some people.

Swim club

Club
Bondi Icebergs Swimming Club, established in 1929, is a historic winter swimming club located at the southern end of Australia's famous Bondi Beach. The facility features an Olympic-sized pool and a shallow pool for children. It is home to several amateur swimming clubs, including the renowned Bondi Icebergs. Full membership to this exclusive club requires regular Sunday swims from May to September for five years. Additionally, visitors can explore a small museum on site.
Bondi Icebergs is one of those places that makes you feel brave before you have even touched the water. The ocean pool sits right on the edge of the headland, white rails against turquoise, and waves occasionally lift a veil of spray over the lap lanes. It looks like a postcard from the promenade, but the real fun starts when you pay the small entry and step down to the deck. Lifeguards keep a casual but watchful eye, lane ropes are set for steady laps, and the thud of the surf becomes a metronome. On a calm day the pool is glassy and blue. When the swell is up you get a salty slap across your shoulders and a quick grin at the person in the next lane. Facilities are exactly what you want for a swim with a side of scenery. Change rooms are tidy, hot showers take the edge off the wind, and there are benches where you can wrap up in a towel and watch the horizon. Bring goggles and a cap if you plan to put in some distance, and throw a dry layer in your bag because the breeze can turn suddenly. The adjoining sauna is a welcome thaw after a few cold laps, and grabbing a coffee from the kiosk before or after adds to the ritual. If you are not swimming, the clifftop terrace is a brilliant spot to watch the light shift across the bay and to take a few photos without getting splashed. Weekday mornings feel almost meditative, while weekends buzz with families, visiting swimmers and locals getting their fix. Entry is open to everyone, no membership required, which keeps the vibe welcoming. Respect the whistle if conditions kick up, rinse the salt from the deck when you are done, and give yourself time to sit and take it all in. Few places wrap exercise, sea air and a front row Bondi view into one simple experience quite as neatly as Icebergs.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced for such a stunning location. The service was friendly and attentive, and the view overlooking Bondi Beach is simply unbeatable. A perfect spot to relax, enjoy great food, and soak in the best view in Bondi beach Sydney. Only 10mins bus from Bondi Junction to here. Frequent Bus 333 or Bus 380 available every 5mins during weekdays. Highly recommend!

Well I've always wanted to come to Bondi Iceberg Swimming Club now I can take it off my bucket list. I wasn't disappointed, spectacular views, great food a rather busy swimming pool - I wasn't tempted in any way to join the swimmers... lol! Special gathering for my mum's 90th birthday gathering. The views are stunning the menu supplements the view. We were in the bistro on the middle floor. Because I was so late to arrive, I missed the main lunch and I ended up only having a bowl of chips. The chips were pretty good but the massive fantastic selection of condiments blew my mind blue... Lol. I have taken a photo but I really want to tell you in person about the condiments. There is horseradish, hot english mustard, there is a bottle that says hot hot hot, I'm assuming that is hot sauce. There is malt vinegar, HP sauce, Sriracha Sauce which is Thai. Plus where would be with out good old fashioned tomato sauce or ketchup as some like to call it. After a day that was a tad stressful too me, I rather enjoyed the refreshing Elderberry Spritzer it was so good, that I had a second . Because I was so rushed and running late, enjoy the pictures so you can have a look at the lovely fantastic choices that I didn't have a chance to try. I'm told that the snapper pie was awesome.

I had such a lovely time at Bondi Icebergs Swimming Club. The coffee was absolutely delicious - smooth, rich, and just what I needed while enjoying the view. The staff were so kind and welcoming, always smiling and happy to help. It made the experience feel even more special. But honestly, nothing beats the view here. Sitting by the edge, you can hear the sound of the waves crashing and watch the ocean stretch out forever. You get a perfect view of Bondi Beach, it’s just stunning. The fresh sea breeze, the blue water, and the energy of the beach below create such a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for a drink, a swim, or just to take in the view, this place is truly one of a kind. I can’t wait to come back 🩵
Margarita M — Google review
Amazing amazing amazing. Food was fantastic, swim was fantastic. Culture is strong, views are breathtaking. I can’t speak more highly of this special place.

Bondi Beach is world-famous, but not visiting it is like not visiting at all. Enjoying a cold beer while gazing at Bondi Beach is a sight to behold. Please note that all visitors must have a passport for entry.

Nestled just south of Coogee Beach, Wylie's Baths is a historic tidal pool that has been captivating visitors since its establishment in 1907 by long-distance swimmer Henry Alexander Wyllie. This stunning seaside oasis features 50-yard swimming lanes and a spacious deck perfect for yoga classes, all while offering breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean from its elevated kiosk.
Really fantastic outdoor seawater pool. Entry is only $6 (which is very worth it!). There is a cafe, plenty of seating, changing rooms and ample space for you to pull up with your towel and spend all day soaking up some sun. I've seen plenty of people working from pool, so if you're thinking about it do it! There are swimming lanes and casual swimming. Also lots of great merch!
Jay W — Google review
Absolutely awesome. Loved swimming here. Coming from Melbourne I had no concept of a sea side lap pool. Thrilling to be swimming in the safety of a lap pool but with a natural reefy bottom and heaps of fish big and small and colourful! The deck is also nice for chilling out and doing some work as there is no music, just the roar of the ocean right there. Already can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend
Cecilia W — Google review
Picturesque seaside ‘live’ pool suitable for laps, with café and well maintained facilities. Variety of merch for sale, if one forgot anything (Admission @A$6). Swim amongst an ecosystem in the pool, sunbathe on the sizable deck (with open air shower in the corner), or chill out upstairs with a drink / food. Showers, toilets, change area available in Men’s | Women’s sections. (hot shower available for 20c). Event | wellness corner behind Women’s provides classes | massages on selected dates (check website for details). One could technically work from the upper deck too (sheltered seating). But note that wifi and power outlets not provided (fully charge &/ tether your phone*). Unique and relaxing experience, recommended~

I just love this place. It's one of the best rock pools I've ever been to. Every time I visit Sydney to see family, I come here for early morning swims. These two photos were taken an hour apart. Started with a nice challenging rough and choppy swim, which turned into a calmer doggy paddle to cool down. Mother nature at her best! Oh, and the staff are amazing and have great coffee.

Murray Rose Pool, formerly known as Redleaf Pool, is a popular tidal swimming spot located by the harbor. It's more of a fenced-off section of Seven Shillings Beach, offering scenic saltwater swims and serene surroundings. Accessible only by foot behind the Woollahra Council Offices on New South Head Road, this hidden gem provides shaded seating, changing facilities, and two floating pontoons for a relaxing swim experience.
Beautiful harbour side ocean pool, great to take the family, love the 2 floating platoons spent a lot of time sun baking on the platoon, jumping off having a swim 🏊‍♂️ and back on the platoon This harbourside tidal enclosure (previously known as Redleaf Pool) is popular with all age groups and proves busy on weekends in summer. The enclosure provides a swimming area of approximately 90m x 60m. The kiosk provides shaded seating and a spectacular outlook across Double Bay. No dog's allowed or fishing!

My favorite beach hehe love how it is not crowded on thursdays

It is a very nice pool and very convenient to take a swim as there is a net which makes it safer for shark attacks. It is usually very crowded but the space is big enough so that you can easily find a nice spot. Unfortunately the cafe which is the only option is very bad - see my other review - and closes early so my suggestion is to bring some food with you when you make a visit

The water is super cool. I walked the jetty, The regulars who swim here every day Make this place special all year round. Especially when the sun reflects off the water. Today's inspiration is relaxing and enjoying a book read and swimming nice and an amicable atmosphere.

This is a beautiful place to visit. There’s a cafe with decent coffee and food, a stunning garden to discover before you get to the red leaf pool and Woolhara gallery next to it which has different exhibitions in a lovely old house which has been converted. Do yourself a favour!

What a cool concept! Not necessarily a pool, per se, but an area of the harbor that has been sectioned off with a fence to keep out sharks (and boats?). Murray Rose Pool is definitely an interesting place to visit and worth the stop if you’re in the neighborhood. Named after the famous Australian Olympian, this pool/beach has a small sandy area, some shaded benches to sit on, a really pretty view, and a walkway on the fence surrounding the “pool.” There’s also an outdoor shower and a cafe up a flight of stairs. Docking one point bc although it’s a nice place to visit, I can’t imagine the water would be that clean given all the boats nearby. Otherwise, highly recommend!

Enclosed harbour pool. Fun decks to jump off into the water. Shady area and grass or beach to sit on. Crowd is a mix of families and glamorous Eastern suburb types. Cafe attached but some items are expensive. On weekends there is free parking in council chambers above the beach.

Best to visit later in the evening after 6pm. That way the crowds aren't too bad and you're able to get parking. We loved visiting here in the summer months. Lovely little beach and safe swimming area for the kids. The kids loved jumping off the wharf into the water. Keen to visit here again!

Nestled in the picturesque Cremorne Point of North Sydney, Maccallum Seawater Pool is a hidden gem with a rich history dating back to the 1920s. Originally established by local residents as a safe swimming spot, this unique 33-meter pool offers breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour, including iconic landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The pool's heritage character and waterside timber decking provide an exceptional setting for relaxation and sunbathing.
Came here two nights in a row to cool off in the end of Spring heat. Stunning views. Whole family loved it. From Inner West it was only 18min to get here, quicker than heading to any of the Eastern beaches. Parking was available both times (first night 8.15pm, second night 7pm). Free to enter and swim 24/7 in the saltwater pool with a freshwater shower to rinse off afterwards. Highly recommend and now one of our go-to swim spots.

McCallum Pool is an absolute hidden gem in Sydney and a must-visit spot! Nestled along the stunning Cremorne Point Walk, this charming tidal pool offers breathtaking views across the harbour, including the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The serene setting, surrounded by natural beauty, makes it feel like your own private oasis. The water is refreshing, the pool is well-maintained, and it’s the perfect place to relax after a scenic stroll along the point. Whether you’re looking for a quiet swim, a moment to unwind, or to simply soak up Sydney’s iconic views, McCallum Pool is a little slice of paradise. Highly recommend!

Pretty hard to beat the location of MacCallum Pool. I would have given it five stars but it can get pretty dirty from time to time. Epic place for a family swim and seeing the world famous Sydney Harbour New Years Eve fireworks 🎇 Or just go for a picnic in the warmer months from Nov through to April and admire the million dollar view and cool off with a splash.
Angus I — Google review
I really liked the place, the walk to get there is easy, clean, you just have to be careful and respect for the animals that live there. The views are spectacular and you can relax swimming or sunbathing.
Ana N — Google review
Maccallum Seawater Pool is a free ocean pool located in Cremorne Point. It often gets very busy during the hot weather. Because of its smaller size and the number of people using it, I think the pool is better used for soaking and relaxing rather than actual swimming. The depth of the water also varies and is dependent on the sea water coming in. The water quality can also differ. The views from the pool are spectacular! There is an outdoor shower but no toilets or changerooms. It is a good pool for children as well as adults.
Map R — Google review
We visit Sydney every year but are not really beach or pool people, so we had never been here but saw the spectacular view online, so wanted to come this visit. The view was great - it wasn’t that busy so we were able to get a nice spot in the sun, as far as pools in rock pools go, it was a bit dirty so even if we got into most, I’m not sure that we would’ve gotten into this one, but keeping the 1920s aesthetic and the views alone make it worth visiting!
Danielle — Google review
Maccallum Pool, on the western side of Cremorne Point, is a unique harbourside pool with heritage character and superb views. Its waterside timber deck is an unparalleled sun bathing spot - especially on winter afternoons. There was a few people enjoying the sun on a winter day, the views of the harbour Bridge and Opera house add to experience 😀 I saw 2 large havy ships 🚢 go past! The pool is closed for maintenance
John K — Google review
The pool is situated on the coast looking back over Sydney harbour towards the bridge and opera house . It's a bit of a walk from the train station ,better to get a ferry to Cremore Point and enjoy a walk around the peninsula and get jealous of the nice houses. The pool itself on the day I visited could have been cleaner ,but there had been a storm the night before . There is a nice deck area in the sun and shade if you prefer. There is also a shower there . One thing to take into account if you go for a day out is there are no cafés,bars or shops nearby so take a picnic , there are beautiful areas nearby to have a picnic and enjoy the views .

Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre, the largest aquatic facility to open in Sydney since the 2000 Olympics, offers a modern and well-equipped space for swimmers. The center features a 50-meter heated outdoor pool with additional splash areas, inspired by Sydney's ocean pools. There is also an indoor 25-meter pool with water features and slides. The facility is known for its cleanliness and attentive lifeguards who actively monitor the area.
Great venue in the middle of Sydney three pools surrounded by amazing architecturally designed amenities. Very clean with hot showers great cafe with lots of fresh sandwiches and good coffee. Lots of parking around the venue would highly recommend.
Michelle M — Google review
Swimming at Gunyama Park was fun and enjoyable. The centre has a number of pools - both inside and outside - all of which are heated. The pools are used for a variety of purposes. It is a very popular spot for young children and families. Considering how busy the centre gets, I found the pools to be really well organised. Each lane was clearly marked with what it could be used for. The areas are very well patrolled by many lifeguards, which I appreciated. The centre is very clean and well maintained. There is a cafe here but people are welcome to bring their own food. There are indoor and outdoor picnic areas.
Map R — Google review
Beautiful, clean, fun, and functional public swimming pool! The complex has a great variety of pools, all with different temperatures, including a heated indoor one at the back. Perfect for families, as there’s even a place where you can leave the little ones with a carer while you exercise. It’s a fantastic plan for a day out with the kids. Just be prepared to pay for street parking around the area, or arrive by public transport, but overall, it’s totally worth it! To make your visit easier bring your kids hooded beach towel (poncho) of Tolu Australia for after swim. 👍☀️🥰
Tolu T — Google review
It was a good swimming experience—the pool is large, but it gets quite cold in winter. I noticed a pricing inconsistency—it’s usually $6.60, but this time a male staff member charged me $6.80.
Jessie — Google review
Good place to take the kids when it’s really hot. Suitable for toddlers and babies. The kids area is indoors. Parking is extremely limited. I would suggest taking public transport instead. There is a bus stop at the front. Facilities are new and clean. Heaps of families therefore - best to go early.

Gunyama Park Aquatic Centre is a top-notch facility offering a variety of pools and fitness amenities. The indoor and outdoor pools are clean and well-maintained, perfect for swimming laps or casual dips. There's also a fantastic hydro pool for a dip in the winter and a modern gym. The only downside is the lack of free parking, but the overall experience makes it worth the visit. A great spot for fitness enthusiasts and families alike!
Roopa F — Google review
This aquatic centre is very modern with well thought out amenities. The additional splash areas of the 50m outside pool are great for people just wanting to chill in the water without taking away lanes from the lap swimmers. Great outside area to lounge in the sun as well. I imagine it gets super busy on weekends and summer months. The outdoor 50m pool is heated to 27 degrees and depth range is 1.2m - 2m. There is an indoor pool which is 25m and also a water feature with slides etc. Parking is difficult in this area so if not from the local area getting there with a car is not ideal. Appreciate the centre wants to go green and it’s a great initiative but public transport isn’t always the best option for travellers coming in from a few suburbs away. Staff is a little aloof and a little light on detail for new patrons.

Mahon Pool, nestled just north of Maroubra Beach, is a stunning saltwater swimming spot that offers a unique experience for those seeking tranquility away from the bustling tourist areas. Established in 1932, this picturesque pool sits on a rocky platform with breathtaking views of Lurline Bay. Known as the "impossible pool," Mahon is subject to the whims of ocean waves at high tide, making it an exhilarating place for adventurous swimmers.
Amaaaaazing place!! The rocks around here made me feel like I was in Mars. The waves here are beautiful. And if you go on a summer day, the natural pool is amazing to swim in as well.

Excellent long course pool. The view is great and the facilities are clean. It’s a salt water pool, which is refreshing, but can be an adjustment if you’re not used to it. This pool is also popular, so be prepared to share a lane. If you’re an American, get ready to enjoy clockwise circle swimming. There is also a shallow splash pool for small kids. They also sell swimwear, googles, and some other equipment, so don’t fret if you don’t remember something.

The bleachers offer a great view of the pools and also Garden Island and the harbour. The onsite cafe is a good place to chill after some laps. Impressive and majestic Olympic structure! I was really impressed! It has an interesting offer and a middle ground between relaxation and sport. Perhaps the 50m pool used for free swimming is a little too heated for serious swimming, but still acceptable given the context, perhaps during the week it is less heated. The spa and sonar section is beautiful. The Australian style changing rooms with only two closed showers leaves a little to be desired, but in the end for a minority of Italian tastes it can be fine (in Italy you first take off your shoes and then enter the changing room and pool). Have fun!

The pools look great but i visited for the gym. The gym was not fantastic, had aged equipment and a television for music, which was playing the same song over and over the entire workout. It's small and limited, but the main bits are there. The facility as a whole needs a makeover..it feels old and run down. Sad to see actually when places like Ashfield aquatic centre and Hurstville are cleaner and far better maintained.

Flexible swimming classes, teachers are good. But maintenance needs to be addressed better. So many broken doors and toilet seats .. Bathrooms are very dirty, I can never lock my shower door. I have told staff about this ages ago, a year later it’s still in same state.

Fairy Bower Sea Pool, located along Marine Parade in Manly, is a picturesque tidal rock pool known for its tranquil and crystal-clear waters. The pool's unique triangular shape and shallow depth make it more suitable for leisurely swims and sunbathing rather than serious laps. Surrounded by sculptures and offering stunning ocean views, this historic pool was built in 1929 by local residents.
Stunning view of Manly, Shelley Beach and up the northern beaches coastline. Watch snorkellers and scuba divers search for sea life in the ocean while you relax in the safety of the ocean pool. Crystal clear and fresh ocean water. Change rooms and spots to sit adjacent. One of Sydney’s best ocean pools.

The water is generally clear and inviting, perfect for a refreshing swim on a warm day. While the area is lovely, facilities are minimal, so visitors should come prepared. It can get a bit busy during peak times, but the overall atmosphere remains tranquil and enjoyable. With its natural beauty and relaxing vibe, Fairly Bower Pool is a worthwhile destination for anyone looking to unwind in a serene outdoor setting.

Use the triangular 1929 Fairy Bower sea pool as inspiration for being at the pointy end of Sydney summer. This sea pool was built by local residents (and what a good idea that was). It has magnificent views (including from the open air showers), and a painted (non-slimy) bottom that made me happy. Great for people-watching with a constant parade on the boardwalk. Would return in a heartbeat!

(3.5 stars) At the northern end of Freshwater Beach you’ll find an eight-lane 50-meter ocean pool. Freshwater Ocean Pool is accessed via a pathway from the busy beach, or from a set of stairs down from a paid carpark. The smart folk park just outside the expensively metered spaces walking about twenty more steps for free four-hour street parks on Lumsdaine Drive. The pool itself is a bit green for my liking, with a fresh blue paint job over aggregate that is on the cusp of becoming sharp. Over the far wall you’ll find an easy to access natural rock channel that powers you to a deeper rock pool. Come closer to high tide to experience it at its best and it will likely beat the pool hands down. Crowd-wise it’s a Northern Beaches affluent white mono-culture. Their monied-up Council though does provide good accessibility, including rails and ramps, untimed outdoor showers, and easy pathways. The lane markings they re-painted though do encourage lap swimmers to take up more than their fair share of the pool despite it being a public holiday.

It’s a great place to stay active, unwind, and enjoy a healthy lifestyle right in the heart of Lane Cove.
ERP A — Google review
There’s been a 50 metre pool here at Lane Cove since 1961, but the flash new Lane Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre bears no trace of the original at all. There have been so many upgrades: the biggest in 1998 and 2014 that added all the indoor pools, water play areas, spa, sauna, steam room and most importantly accessibility; culminating in the 2020 replacement of the Olympic pool with the shiny new one we experienced today for the first time. All those facilities don’t come cheap. Adult entry is $9.70, but the quality of all the architecture, design and fitout is definitely superior to most. We particularly liked the row of outdoor sun showers complete with a wooden bench to keep your towel dry. Fortunately some of the original grassed area and trees have been retained, making it a pleasant place in the middle of an increasingly built-up Lane Cove. Its Achilles Heel is an all-too familiar one: seven of the lanes were dedicated to lappies, with only one left over for everyone else. We’re so over this trend. Here of all places it seemed particularly inappropriate, as most of the people attending on a Sunday were families and kids, who would’ve had much more fun with some more room to move and play and, you know, recreate.

We’ve been attending swim classes at the Lane Cove Aquatic Centre, and we couldn’t be more impressed! The swim school is fantastic, offering a structured, supportive environment for kids to learn and grow in the water. A huge shout-out to Wendy, who does an absolutely amazing job with the kids. Her patience, enthusiasm, and dedication really shine through, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about each child’s progress. My kids absolutely adore her! After each class, we love that we can continue the fun by heading straight to the kids’ pool for a swim. It’s the perfect way to unwind and practice what they’ve just learned, all while having fun. The facilities are always clean, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The staff are incredibly helpful, and there’s a real sense of community here. Whether you’re looking for swim lessons or a fun day out, the Lane Cove Aquatic Centre has everything you need. Highly recommend it to any family in the area! It’s become a regular spot for us.

I lost my swimming suit yesterday on 26 Oct 2025, in the female shower area, I can not believe people stole it, it's two pieces blue colour. I feel very disappointed if people stole things in swimming pool, I heard from other people have similar experiences, please tell all visitors and customers in your centre be careful about their belongings. It's very annoying someone stole things in this centre. Thefts in this centre, and everywhere in Australia!! Very bad! Need more quality training! Not steal !!!

Was feeling like a nice soak in a warm spa recently so I put a search through Google and this was one of the recommended places….Great choice! They have a 7 day trial…so I signed up Madison’s help… what a charming young lady…so polite, so informed and helpful. All the facilities are top notch….gotta go…heading back for a swim!

It's so much cleaner ! I am surprise to see the changes since my last visit 5months ago. New outdoor 50m pool is awesome and the grand opening is on 3rd Oct 2020. With the gym facilities upstairs and new swimming pool, it's ideal place for exercise in Lane Cove.

A well managed, recently renovated, with all the necessary amenities for a aquatic centre. A nice Gym, indoor playing area for children, spa, dry and wet sauna, although a bit small, two indoor lap pools for training and a big decent outdoor lap pool with a big spectator sitting area and some green area suitable for family picnic. The staff are very friendly. A small nice café with a good range of selections.

Icebergs Dining Room and Bar is a trendy Italian restaurant located in a prime spot overlooking Bondi Beach. It's a favorite among celebrities and fashion-forward individuals who enjoy the stunning view of the beach while indulging in exquisite Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant offers a sophisticated menu featuring fresh seafood, artisanal produce, and classic Italian fare.
had an amazing experience at Icebergs in Bondi. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The stunning ocean views set the perfect backdrop, and the atmosphere was both elegant and relaxed. The food was outstanding—each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. You can truly taste the quality and creativity in every bite. The service was attentive and professional, adding to the overall experience. A perfect combination of incredible food, breathtaking views, and top-tier service. Icebergs is a must-visit if you’re in Bondi!

A truly iconic Sydney dining experience Dining at Icebergs was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, attentive service and seated at a table with panoramic views of Bondi Beach and the crashing waves below. The setting alone is worth a visit—elegant, modern, and infused with that effortlessly chic coastal vibe that defines Sydney. The menu was refined and seasonal, with a strong focus on high-quality produce and beautifully prepared seafood. Every dish felt thoughtfully composed, with standout flavours and artistic presentation. The oysters were some of the freshest we’ve had, and the pasta with spanner crab was a perfect balance of richness and brightness. Their wine list was extensive, featuring a fantastic range of Australian and international selections, and the sommelier’s pairing recommendations elevated the meal even further. The atmosphere struck a rare balance—it was upscale without being stuffy, sophisticated but still relaxed. The staff were professional yet personable, striking that ideal tone of hospitality that makes you feel both looked after and comfortable. We stayed long after dessert, sipping cocktails and watching the evening light fade over Bondi. It’s one of those experiences that leaves a lasting impression—not just a meal, but a moment. I’d recommend Icebergs to anyone looking for a special night out in Sydney, whether you’re a visitor or a local celebrating something memorable.

Magnificent! Highly recommend. The service was superb the food and ambience was amazing. All wait staff were so lovely and professional, with a shout out to Justin. So friendly and knowledgeable. My Dad got a little birthday surprise for his 80th which was so nice. We will definitely be back. Kristen

If you want to sit down and have an amazing view of Bondi Beach, then Icebergs is a must visit. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Although it can be really windy sitting outside, the views and vibes are worth it. The food was surprisingly pretty decent and prices are moderately high, which is expected of the location. It’s largely self service and the decor is quite nice. Very scenic spot!

Great views and great service, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food however was very disappointing, my wife got a very undercooked quail and to they credit we didn’t get charged for it, my lamb was very salty and lacked some rendering of the fat, the flathead way overcooked. Overall we had a good time but must be frustrating for the front of the house to be let down by the kitchen. I don’t think we will go back.

Icebergs is such a classic, classy spot for a special occasion. The main feature is the sweeping view over Bondi Beach, the venue itself is beautifully designed and fitted out. The food is beautifully presented and very enjoyable. Service has been hit or miss in my visits - but overall really top notch.

The view over Bondi, The Mussels , the Caesar salad, the crisp Sauvignon Blanc, the pure bliss! We visit for lunch every time we are in Sydney. This is what dreams are made of!

I went to Icebergs for dinner to celebrate my birthday and had an amazing time! The service was fantastic from start to finish — the staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive, making me feel truly special on my day. The food was delicious, and the desserts were exceptional. The environment was beautiful and elegant. The money spent was completely worth it. I highly recommend Icebergs for a great dining experience!

Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre in Sydney is the ultimate destination for indoor water fun. It features a 50-meter Olympic size swimming pool, a rapid river, wave pool, giant slide, and inflatable playground. The Surf Ryder wave simulator offers an exciting surfing experience on land. This facility caters to both adults and kids with designated areas for various activities including lane swimming, water play equipment, spa, sauna, and steam room.
Its such a lovely indoor Aquatic centre, my whole family had so much fun here, many different areas to play in.. big wave heated pool.. lazy rivers… jacuzzi.. wave ride.. and you can buy food and drinks here as well… plenty of lockers… must go and try❤️

Ryde Aquatic Centre is a great facility with lots to offer, but cleanliness really lets it down. The sauna and spa areas in particular are extremely dirty and in need of a proper deep clean. It’s a place I’d love to use more often, but until the hygiene improves it’s hard to feel comfortable going back
Bobby X — Google review
Lots of fun and activities for the whole family. Whilst our kiddies are going nuts in the water, or the yellow slide, or the endless river we are sitting in the hot tub taking it easy. Water temperature in all pools is above 25C. On weekends and during school holidays they get the waves going every 30 minutes. The kids love it! 🥰

so the pools nice and everything was good but at the cafe I was trying to get a cookie which said $5.80 on the wall and that was also how much the lady said it was originally. so I dropped my cookie and went back to buy another, she charged me $6.10 for the same cookie, I didn’t get it and went back later, different lady this time, $5.80. I’m gonna be honest, this just pissed me off because we were getting charged more than the original price, and it couldn’t have gone up thag high because of weekend surcharge because we went on a weekday and tax isn’t that high

I tell you what ..you guys in Sydney are lucky and spoilt ..its truly beautiful setup even has netball and basketball courts

Very disappointed. The toddler pool was freezing. The kids pool was so cold my 4yo was shivering after 20 mins. The tiny heated pool was closed until 1pm, and when it did open it soon filled up with geriatrics which is fine, but clearly they were there because it was the only pool that was warm enough to be in for any length of time. I think it was maybe 28 or 29°. Also it seems crazy to charge the adult price for taking a 4yo to the pool right? Surely there should be a kids price and the adult who has to be within arms reach should get free entry? This would positively encourage people to take their kids swimming which in a county like Australia is super important. In a city as rich as Sydney we deserve better public facilities that are affordable. Also, $20 to use the spa/sauna per day! Wow!
Jo — Google review
Fantastic indoor pool for both adults and kids. Perfectly allocated areas for lane swimming, wave pool, whirlpools, water slides, other water play equipment, another warm pool for swimming programs but kids can jump in when there’s no programs going on, spa, sauna and steam room. This place has it all that 4 hours parking almost doesn’t seem enough. They accept fitness passport so great value for anyone already with that membership. There is also a canteen there with a wide selection of food. Can’t remember them all but there are pies, sandwiches, fried seafood and chips, muffins, donuts, ice cream and most importantly, coffee. If there’s a swimming class on expect a long wait but there’s vending machines right next to them if you need a quick grab and go. Outdoor parking is free and plentiful. It seems small cause it’s always packed but whenever we go and do a round we always seem to find a spot within a couple of minutes. Ryde Aquatic and Sydney Olympic Aquatic are by far the two best pools in the area and a must visit.
Alwin K — Google review
Facilities are good. Parking is terrible. The spaces are too small and tight, and not enough of them. When there is a sports carnival on, the car park and streets are packed. You can't get in! It's 2025, cars are bigger, everyone drives, and our population is growing. Time for a multi story car park I think.

Greenwich Baths is a fantastic spot for families and individuals to enjoy swimming, picnicking, and relaxing on the sandy beach. The area features a small cafe, beach chairs, and clean hot water showers. It's especially suitable for families with young children, offering a fenced and netted off area with complimentary toys for kids to play with. The shallow bottom allows non-swimmers to have fun while adults can make use of lapping lanes further out and relax on deck chairs with cushions.
What a gem of a place, great family place especially the little ones. It’s a safe environment with gentle rolling waves when we were there. The bath area is netted and fronted by a spacious sandy beach. Facilities include deck chairs picnic tables and chairs, (cold?)showers, toilets, communal beach toys for the kids. I think I even saw a beach umbrella but there are some shady areas during mid morning on the beach. There are more shady spots along the grassy side near the entrance. free parking at street level and more at the boat ramp. Free entrance on weekdays when it is not staffed. Highly recommend this place. May I suggest we all pick up any rubbish on the beach we see, especially cigarette butts, bits of plastic wrappers, broken plastic toys etc embedded in the sand and put all the toys back. 🙏
Roberta — Google review
It's OK. A short walk from street parking and we were lucky to get a good parking spot. If you want a good position on the beach then you have to get there early. Very limited shade areas behind the beach so if you have your own umbrella, or cabana, then bring it along. By early afternoon it was very crowded with a couple of large groups of small children from nearby preschools adding to the melee. There is a kiosk that sells coffee and other refreshments.

Beautiful baths but there is a bit too much sand for my liking, free if no lifeguard but costs money if there is! Too much shells in the pool for me!

Lovely river bath with a little sand beach, beautiful views of the city center as well as the usual facilities like bathrooms, showers, changing cabins and a little cafe. Entrance is $4.70 and it's open until 8pm in summer. Beware that the water is not clear and there are partly algae and sharp oysters on the ground. While I was there a girl cut open her foot.

Oh! Just another amazing hidden treasure of the Sydney North Shore! 😍 Not that easy to access if you are not driving, but no problems to park, entrance not expensive at all, super friendly staff, options to have a coffee and other basic drinks and snacks, never too crowded, perfect to relax after kayaking around the harbour. I do not know if it's always the case... but today the water temperature was just perfect! 🤩👍🏾

A lovely harbour beach where you can get a great view of the city and spend a relaxing day. It's great for the kids, with the area being fenced and netted off, as well as a heap of complimentary toys for them to play with. Also, the bottom is quite shallow for a distance, so non-swimmers can still have good fun. For the adults, there are a couple of lapping lanes further out and deck chairs with cushions to relax on. There is a cafe that serves drinks (including the all important coffee) and a selection of food. We had the fish and chips, banana bread, and a soy latte, which were all nice. Finally, but importantly, the shower facilities are clean and new.
Matthew ( — Google review
Lovely little spot for a cheeky swim in the sea. Nice little beach area though not a huge amount of space. $4.30 entry is a bit much, shame they couldn't make money off the coffee and produce. However it is a high standard and the staff are friendly, also not too many options in the area.

The center is known for its spacious outdoor area with lush grass and various pools for different activities.
I love the pools and beautiful surrounding bushland. I'd give it 5 stars if the reception staff were even slightly welcoming - sadly, everything is an effort for them and overall, they make a terrible first impression. More customer training required please.

Whilst the swimming teachers are fantastic, unfortunately the manager, Andrea is an unhelpful, inconsiderate, unreasonable and rude individual who is not willing to assist in any way whatsoever. This is a shame because I have only had great experiences (over a three year membership period) with all the other team members, whether swimming instructors or admin.
Dino-Beau F — Google review
After 6 years of a membership where the management frequently changed booking and attendance procedures to suit themselves with no consideration to the impact it had on the patrons who held memberships and had/have unavoidable restrictions to their ability to change to suit these changes, my recommendation is to not use this facility and avoid consistent disappointment. I paid my fees via automatic deduction from my credit card (with no refunds or options offered) throughout this whole distasteful experience. The only pleasant thing was the other Aqua class attendees.
Carla M — Google review
The original West Pymble pool opened back in 1971, but this fully-blown aquatic centre revamp is less than 10 years old. And the Y Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre has all the things! Two heated indoor pools, a 50 metre outdoor pool and shaded outdoor kid’s pool, water play features, gym, crèche, indoor and outdoor showers, cafe and more, in a well-designed modern complex set amongst the beautiful bushland of the Bicentennial Park. It’s very fancy, as you’d expect in the well-heeled enclave of privilege that is Pymble, with loads of free parking, brush turkeys wandering around poolside and the most North Shore language ever used in their signage… skip to the last photo to see what we mean.
Jackie M — Google review
One of the worst gyms I have ever seen, super small, cramped, always a class going on blocking my way, and countless broken machines that take months to get fixed. Also there is some work staff named Jeremy who was extremely rude pointing the middle finger at him people, slamming weights and shouting at the gym and also I saw him picking on some mentally ill little boy. Overall terrible experience and definitely won’t be coming back after 4 years here unless you fix the gym and kick that Jeremy guy.
Milli T — Google review
The change rooms are always water logged, stinky and sodden. For the amount of space that this facility has, there should be “wet & dry” change rooms. Too few spin bikes, no mirrors in the studio, how does anyone correct bad posture if you can’t see what you’re doing? Generally not the friendliest gym I’ve ever being too.
Deborah-Anne N — Google review
Basic maintenance is left for months. Eg. Missing tiles in pools. Dirty shower stalls. The temperatures of the pools are erratic from day to day. However, they have been slowly declining with no notice and no explanation. Other Sydney pools advertise their temperatures. So did this establishment but it is now kept secret.

Poor attitude and unprofessional! Charged a 3 year old full price. No question was asked about the child’s age on payment and no information was given about fees etc. When I asked the front desk staff to clarify the wrong charged fees and request for refund, she refused to refund and blamed on us not telling them about the age. Wish this one to close soon for revamping and new management team. Not a good impression for families

Love the place and how it's all been set ✨️ The staff are great and very accommodating as they go above and beyond to help you with information 😀 The place gives in a very resorty sort of Atmosphere as they have Sun benches and a good BBQ area and you can host birthdays or parties 🥳 The prices are super good for adults $7 and the child can walk in for free so long as they are 5 and less 😉 The parking is ample and you have buses getting out there at the same time as the Bus bay is just outside 😉 Dream for people who' Re along the area and can't wait to be a part of this 😉

The Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre in Sydney offers a top-notch indoor swimming experience, featuring a 50-meter heated pool and a smaller leisure pool. With stunning views from the deck, it's an ideal location for both fitness goals and family outings. The center is known for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and efficient management team.
I'm generally not a fan of indoor, heated pools however, my friend suggested we try Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre (ITAC) for a swim, and I'm glad we did! The venue exceeded my expectations. The centre was very easy to get to with it being well located in the city. It is very clean and well maintained. There are many lifeguards patrolling each of the pools, ensuring the safety of each of their patrons. There are three pools within ITAC- the 50m pool, leisure pool, and program pool. We hopped in and out of the 50m pool and leisure pool. We found the leisure pool to be really relaxing! You can easily spend many hours here. There is a cafe and an outdoor area with tables and chairs where you can bring your own picnic to eat. Swimming here was a fun and enjoyable experience and one that I would recommend!

The Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre is a fantastic facility that caters to swimmers of all ages. With multiple pools available, it’s great for lap swimming, casual dips, or joining one of the many activities they run for both seniors and young children. The lap swimming in particular is excellent—well-organised and enjoyable. The staff are friendly and approachable, and the lifeguards are very attentive. I was especially impressed by one guard who kept patrolling the pool area diligently—it really gave me confidence that safety is taken seriously here. Facilities like the toilets are generally acceptable and kept reasonably clean. At certain times of the day the pool can get a little crowded, but it’s never overwhelming, and overall the atmosphere remains welcoming and comfortable. A well-managed, community-friendly aquatic centre—highly recommended whether you’re training, bringing kids, or just looking to stay active.

What a great place to swim. Sydney has so much interesting architecture and this building deserves its place in the city. The staff was helpful with lockers, I had a wonderful swim and I’m glad I I took the opportunity.

Excellent pool! I loved that its all fully wheelchair accessible - everything is on the same level. 👩‍🦼👩‍🦽✅ So you can easily access one of the three pools, sauna and bathrooms. They also have ramps to enter the water and proper stairs to easily get out. Also I loved the temperature of the pool - it's not too cold as some pools and it's not too warm. So you can get a decent work out without overheating but at the same time you won't freeze during the cool down. The only downside, on weekends it's full of kids squads. So there are only 4 lanes available for public swimming. But it's amazingly organized - all lanes are separated and clearly marked. So there will be no water walkers in a fast lane and vice versa. I definitely will come back!!! 🙌

🏊‍♂️ Pool Review – Visited in August 🌡️ Water Temperature: 26.7°C | Outside: 14°C It felt pretty cold both getting in and getting out 🥶 For serious swimming, I think around 28°C would be ideal. It helps prevent muscle stiffness and makes the overall experience much more comfortable 💪 ⸻ 🏢 About the Facility: Very clean, well-maintained, and clearly designed with users in mind 👌✨ It gave me the impression of a place that’s truly welcoming to all ages. ⸻ ✅ Overall: A fantastic facility, though it would’ve been perfect with slightly warmer water! If the temperature gets adjusted, I’d definitely love to come back 🔁🔥

Our family has been coming here every week for almost seven years . Spacious, hygienic, aesthetic , and most of all, the heated pool all year long ! The centre has a friendly and effective management team and staff . Initially there was a senior staff who’s very racist towards non-Caucasian kids and got complained by quite a few parents. The centre dealt with the complaints immediately. After a thorough investigation the senior staff was removed for good. If not because we have relocated we would have still been here every week . They have set the bar high that I still haven’t found another place even match Ian Thorpe . I guess we will still be coming back for casual play . To be in compliance with their photo policy around kids and leisure pool no photo was taken around the other 2 pools . Strongly recommended.

I like centre and the facility. However, male changing rooms should be upgraded. Showers do not have anything for privacy. Only covered from two sides leaving the front side completely open. There's not even a tend. As an add on. Something to temporary place personal shampoo while showering would be great.

The beach is well guarded from September to May each year.

Victoria Park Pool is a classic 50-meter outdoor pool located within the lush nine-hectare Victoria Park. The pool offers eight lanes for swimming and hosts group fitness classes in the surrounding parkland. Visitors can book exclusive lane use online or simply drop by for a swim and then relax at the poolside cafe with a panini or protein shake. The facility also includes a fitness center, making it convenient for both quick workouts and leisurely downtime on the park lawn.
Really nice great sized pool and very helpful staff! Great price for pool use. See membership prices below

I'm writing this review with a heavy heart. Victoria Park Pool has long been one of my favourite public pools in Sydney, which is saying something given the many great options. However...recent changes to the pools heating system have been a disaster and left many regular pool users (including myself) in dismay. The main 50m pool is now regularly over 28-29 degrees Celsius, which is very uncomfortable for normal recreational use and borderline dangerous for those using it for serious swim / squad training. I personally come out of the pool sweating profusely and red faced after swimming my usual 2-3kms. My heart rate is elevated beyond my normal training range and performance reduced. My online research of leading swim associations (e.g. USA Swimming) is that public training pools should not exceed 27 degrees, but ideally be closer to 24 - 26 degrees. Higher pool temperatures above these levels can lead to dehydration, overheating and other health risks. I'm not alone in this feeling, many regular users have shared similar distress with me at how hot the pool is. It’s now easily the hottest pool in Sydney (IMV). I've tried to raise this with the Victoria Park centre management staff many times, but there are no signs they are taking this seriously - which is disappointing. None I've spoken to sound interested or appear to see this as a real issue. In summer, our community needs relief from the heat and a safe place to swim/train. Please listen to our feedback and take some action.

Very disappointed when my 3 year old son and I went to the pool. We weren't informed by the receptionist the kid's pool was closed and the life guard told use to get out and suggested to use the other 5 lane pool. My son has not learn how to swim. Only bright side was the young manager who offered reimbursement with ease. I will be honest that as a mum I was too busy watching my son then to notice any closed sign and because I was not told of any closure, naturally I assumed we were free to be in the kid's pool. Please do better.
De T — Google review
A great public pool that's always clean. Some grass areas and umbrellas and a few benches & tables but could definitely do with some extra seating or deck-chairs. The staff are friendly and lifeguards are on duty. Bathrooms could be updated and kept cleaner for a better user experience. Overall, a good place to have a swim, exercise or an afternoon at a pool.
Harold J — Google review
The lifeguard was so grumpy and rude - told us we were swimming too slow for the slow lane (crazy input btw) and made us switch lanes constantly because some lanes were booked for private lessons. at some point he said both the free play lanes were “booked” (they weren’t) so we were forced to swim in the slow lanes and then told us we were too slow?? he also kept glaring at us. staff didn’t even look like they wanted to be there and it kinda felt borderline racist when they constantly gave us condescending looks. def not coming back :D

Great complex. Really clean and well run. Sunset swims gym and then the park after. 🙌🏻

Good pool with 7 lines and a kids pool, a small gym and some grass to lay down. Entry is $7.50 in 2024 but doesn’t include gym. A really nice spot to cool down in hot days.
Bruno A — Google review
Really nice park with gym and outdoor pool. I spent many days here during my exchange in Sydney. Very convenient as it is close to both Broadway Shopping centre and University of Sydney. A good bang for the buck, $15 a week for students and classes are included! Overall very happy with my experience here. The only downside I found was perhaps a lack of work out equipment in the gym.

Marrinawi Cove, located at Barangaroo Reserve in Sydney Harbour, is a unique swimming area that welcomes dogs. Although not a traditional beach, it has become popular among various groups of people, including families, office workers on lunch breaks, and nature enthusiasts. The cove features safety netting to keep out sharks and other wildlife while still allowing for snorkeling opportunities with marine life such as octopuses and scorpion fish.
Beautiful swimming spot very accessible to the city. Way back in the day, Marrinawi was an Indigenous swimming hole, more recently back in the day, it was too polluted to swim in. Now it's back to how it should be, a delightful clean spot to swim in. This was the first spot for swimming to open West of the Harbour Bridge (2023), although now there are more. 🚻 Toilets immediately adjacent 🚲 Right on the Barangaroo bike/pedestrian paths ❗ The rocks can be slippy. Use caution.
Stacey T — Google review
We finally had our first swim at Marrinawi Cove, a year after it first opened. It’s better than we imagined or hoped… a truly beautiful and sheltered swim spot, at the northern end of Barangaroo Reserve, the landscaping, design and functionality are next level. And it looks like it’s been there forever. We felt a bit foolish for leaving it so long, we were so impressed. Marrinawi is the Sydney Aboriginal word for large canoe, and was used to describe the vessels of the First Fleet into Sydney Harbour. For thousands of years the Gadigal people used this area for swimming, bathing, canoeing and fishing. Now we’re so lucky to be able to enjoy it too. There’s no entry fee, a cute heritage amenities block, an outdoor shower and the (expensive) metered street parking is still cheaper than the various parking stations nearby. A keeper.

All thanks to those guys who got this idea to make this rock pool. Perfect spot for swimming with dive jump from approximately 12feet height. Better if you go there on sunny day, sun bath while chilling on rock and swimming, friends family place ❤️. Take some snacks with you guys.

Marrinawi Cove is located adjacent to Barangaroo Reserve and Walsh Bay, nice views of the harbour and Sydney harbour Bridge! Great location to have a swim 🏊‍♀️ then sit in sun and watching all types ships 🚢 doing their things. Marrinawi Cove is a short walk away from the Walsh Bay Wharves Precinct and at the beginning of Barangaroo Reserve on Walsh Bay side. In the other direction is Wulugul walk leading to the Barangaroo district leading to cockle Bay. The Barangaroo district has crown casino, central Barangaroo and the streets of Barangaroo entertainment quarter

Awesome spot. There's a shower as well to wash off after your swim. A change room area too in the little building. Just be careful on the rocks in the water and they're slippery! Hold onto the rail on your way in and out folks
Jackson — Google review
Sensational dog-friendly swimming spot, at once on the harbour and within Sydney’s central business district. Stepped weathered sandstone blocks form a small sheltered cove. Swimmers come here even in winter, alongside office workers on their lunch breaks and locals getting a bit of sun. Dogs have to be on a leash in the area, but are allowed to swim in the cove. Great eating spots on the wharf nearby.
Mathieu R — Google review
This almost surreal spot attracts the crowds, including families, lunchtime office workers, bikini slayers, young seniors, and Barangaroo walkers who accidentally stumble upon this gem. While there is a shark net, there is plenty of ocean life to snorkle - around. Just today we saw an octopus, and what looked to be a scorpion fish at the far end of the cove. We a just gave them extra room. No touching. All good. Like most ocean pools, we ran into the occasional jellyfish, but these were harmless. Still, check the water, and know your local jellyfish. Some of the stone boulders have oyster shell remnants, so just pick your spot to enter/exit the water, specially with little ones. There are toilet facilities and an outdoor (cold water) shower. At this point, there's no lifeguard. Just be aware of this, as the middle of the cove is deep. Also check water depth before jumping from the end of the cove as this varies (3 meter at midday). You can find shady spots, but again, these are popular. Also, no accessible water entry via wheelchair. On-street metered parking (peak hour) is approximately $6.60/hour (Jan 2023, coins and card tap available). Parking officers are ready to pounce, so keep an eye on time if parked close by. Enjoy this gorgeous cove for the perfect outdoor city swim, a lazy snooze on one of the boulders or the grass, or even a picnic with boat watching. Happy travels! #Scone score = 0/5. Too busy splashing around. However, if peckish, you can walk to Walsh Bay eateries.

Fabulous spot for snorkeling, high chance of seeing famous blue groupers. Gorgeous ocean pool and sandy beach ideal if you have small kids. Mid- week usually get a park in nearby car park. Cafe next to pool.

This rating will increase in the summer. No one uses it in winter and it is a bit dirty with debris, leaves and maybe trash.
Rock M — Google review
Wander down the long concrete concourse towards the beach and if you’re not observant you may miss noticing this 4-lane 25 metre ocean pool tucked away on the left of the really big ocean pool that is Clovelly Bay. Built in the 60s and looking a bit worse for the wear, with heavy staining and a slimy coating, the setting of this one is it’s redeeming feature. Just next to a popular café and adjoining change and shower facilities, with loads of free parking, it has all the things… but it’s just not a great pool. Especially when compared with the enormous expanse of sheltered sea just next to it. We marked down The Geoff James Pool (Clovelly Ocean Pool). as one for the kids, while we moved on to a dip in the bay…

Such a great private area for a swim or to relax. It’s $2.50 for entry at a gate that hides the rest of the area. LOVE this place. It's a little bit of a sanctuary near Coogee beach that's open to women and children only. The views are spectacular and the baths themselves (an ocean pool) are great. Not deep at any point, but not a flat surface like in a regular swimming pool either. There are fish in the water, and I saw a couple of sea urchins, lots of tiny crabs and even an interesting sea slug that was making its slow way around the tiny rock pools around the baths. There are a few patches of grass to laze on while reading and/or contemplating life, or lots of rocks to catch some z's or rays, as you prefer. Entrance fee is $2, and you can stay as long as you like. It's open from sunrise to one hour BEFORE sunset.

A beautiful haven for women in the heart of South Coogee. A peaceful and inclusive spot for women to really relax and take a dip. I brought my 6 month old son and he loved floating around in the refreshing bath. The staff are also incredibly kind with one woman helping me back to my car by carrying my umbrella. Just beware - not much shade for most of the day if you’re bringing a bub (or want a shady spot for yourself).

Although the complex itself may be considered outdated, being able to enjoy the outdoors is still a positive aspect. The staff members are friendly and accommodating, which contributes to its overall rating of five stars.

We have been members for many years. There is a nice 25 metre pool and separate children's pools, a big spa, sauna, well equipped gym, indoor courts, cafe, and outside netball courts next door. There are great swim schools at the pool, which have taught our kids from when they were learning to swim. There is also a creche, as well as the Blend Cafe inside, where you can grab a coffee or something to eat whilst you wait. It will be a shame when the pool is closed for renovations at the end of November 2022. However, we are looking forward to the new, modern, expanded facility that will be built in its place.

This is a wonderful place to both have a relaxing swim or a fast swim squad training. They have a beginner’s swimming program for kids who are just starting to learn how to swim, but also a swim squad (Willoughby Swim Club) for those who are competing in a higher level standard. Cafeteria’s coffee was really nice, originally from Toby Estate. They have a play area and diving blocks, a 25m pool are also included. Hornsby Aquatic and Leisure Centre Overall, the facilities at Hornsby Leisure Centre are very good, and I enjoy using them. However, the changing rooms and showers are in serious need of improvement. They often look dirty and poorly maintained, which makes it uncomfortable – especially to walk barefoot. The walls and general cleanliness in the shower area really let the place down. This is disappointing, because the rest of the centre is excellent. I hope management can look into improving the cleaning standards, as the showers deserve the same high standard as the rest of the facility.
Andrzej P — Google review
Very dirty pool and filthy toilets and showers. Patrons spitting in showers throw toilets paper all over ground to dry feet. Very small change area. Bumping elbows to get changed. People having long showers then drying and dressing in showers. Only three showers in ladies change room , two others in school change room. Have no alternative in this underservices area.

My children have been enrolled for the past four years. Despite their ongoing attendance and commitment, their progress has been minimal. It is concerning that, after such a significant amount of time, they remain at the same skill level. From my observations, the instructors are either too relaxed to effectively manage the classes or too impatient to provide constructive guidance, which creates an unproductive and discouraging learning environment for the children. Furthermore, the staff at the Learn to Swim desk consistently demonstrate a lack of customer service skills. Their dismissive and arrogant attitude suggests they are indifferent to whether parents choose to enroll their children or not. This is unacceptable, particularly in a government-funded program that is supposed to serve the public with care and accountability. It is deeply frustrating to see taxpayer money spent on poorly maintained facilities and staff who do not appear to value their responsibilities. I strongly urge you to consider recruiting qualified, motivated individuals who are genuinely interested in teaching and serving the community.

This place has it all: plenty of free 24P parking 🅿️, spacious grounds, grassy areas 🌱, a covered and heated pool 💦, an outdoor water splash playground 🌊, plenty of shaded spots 🌳, an indoor semi-Olympic pool 🏊‍♀️, an outdoor Olympic pool 🏟️, BBQ facilities 🍖, a fitness centre 💪, and even a crèche 🍼 where you can leave the kiddos for 90 minutes while you train or grab a coffee ☕! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We absolutely love the crèche at Des Renford Leisure Centre! The educators are all so friendly, caring, and professional — they’ve created such a warm and welcoming environment for little ones. My daughter Harper attends once a week while her brother and I go to swimming lessons and she always goes in happily and comes out with a big smile. It’s such a peace of mind knowing she’s in great hands and being well cared for while I do lessons. We’re really grateful for this service — it’s been a fantastic experience all around. Highly recommend to any parents using the leisure centre!

Des Renford Leisure Centre is a fantastic place for families! There are multiple pools to choose from, including heated ones in winter, which makes it perfect all year round. The kids absolutely love the splash park and always have a great time. We come here regularly in summer. It’s clean and well-maintained.

That manager Yvonne — tall lady with a dirty blonde ponytail — has a bad habit of interrupting members mid-workout. Last time I was doing pull-ups at the squat rack, she walked over insisting on putting a barbell back onto the rack that I had intentionally moved aside (and placed safely in a corner) so I could train. It’s extremely unprofessional to disrupt someone’s exercise like that — especially from a manager. And it’s not the first time she’s done it. I’m paying for a gym, not for constant interruptions and micromanagement.
E W — Google review
Very large centre with multiple pools (indoor and outdoor), gym, creche, cafe, birthday party rooms and small swim shop. The pools were well attended, I just only grabbed pix without many people in them for privacy reasons. 🥳 Attended for a party and had a great experience. There's an option for an inflatable obstacle course and separate party rooms, which was fantastic. 🚘 Easy parking lot parking 🚻 Change rooms could do with a bit of an update, some stalls out of order

They have main outdoor 25m pool, enclosed heated kids pool, shallow toddler pool, indoor 25m competition pool and indoor heated pool. Plenty of outdoor space if you want to throw a picnic. Cafe available, too. For some reason, indoor heated pool is not open for free swim or aqua play for quite some time now. This makes it hard for me to choose this place during the cooler season especially with kids. Other than that, facilities are okay in a reasonable condition, nothing special to complain about. The staff there are mostly friendly, if not very keen in customer service occasionally.
Shunichi S — Google review
The receptionist was extremely rude today with my family. I was looking for goggles right at the entrance. I had my dog but since there was NO SIGN signalling that dogs are prohibited, I went in. Again, I wasn’t going inside the center, I was just looking for goggles at the entrance. She was rude and said that dogs are prohibited. When I asked about the sign she said with a VERY loud voice that they don’t need a sign. RUDE! Terrible customer service.
Marilia L — Google review
Employee with the short blonde hair and glasses on the front desk was possibly the rudest women I’ve ever encountered. Asked a simple questions and got the rudest response back. We come here a lot and have never experienced someone be so rude. Has put us off coming again. Ps I see someone else has complained about the same woman in reviews.

Mona Vale Rockpool is a picturesque ocean pool located on a sandspit between Basin Beach and Mona Vale Beach in Sydney. It features two swimming pools, one for kids and another larger pool suitable for lap swimming. The pool almost disappears during high tide, creating a unique experience. Unlike other suburban beaches, it feels wild and remote due to its location next to the golf course.
One of the best places to watch and photography sunrise with panoramic ocean view. Very relaxing beach with lot of activities. There are parking areas but fee apply($10/hour).

💦 Nice Rockpool, Wednesday 30 of November 2024, parking machines from Park n’ Pay are not working, I lost my $10 for one hour and didn’t give me a ticket, I called the Council, the assistant from Park n’ Pay, nobody knows about this machines, totally useless, I wasn’t the only person with the same problem, is annoying, please make free parking area or fix it ! This ruined the entire experience. 👎🏻

We went there and the rockpool is just seriously amazing. It's shallow enough for you to stand. And when you go to the end, fresh seawater flows through (although it's very cold) but it's such a nice and fresh feeling. The view is amazing as well as you can see the waves crash onto the rocks. There's also rockpool for the kids next to the adult one :)

Had a lot of fun swimming in the pool. Would have been a 5* for me but stepped on something on the even pool floor and hurt my feet 😫 but super fun and also has a kids pool on the side. Perfect and safe for the kids, but the adult pool may be a bit slippery, especially on the side close the ocean

North Narrabeen Rockpool is a popular swimming spot with various swimming clubs and learn to swim programs using this location. It is also a great place to watch the sunrise.
Picturesque rockpool located on Narrabeen Headland where South Creek meets the Pacific Ocean. The rockpool is accessed by foot from either Turrimetta or North Narrabeen Beaches, or from the designated ticketed carpark off Narrabeen Park Parade with a 280m walk to the pools. The rockpool itself contains a main lap pool (50m long x 15m wide) which is segregated by a timber boardwalk. There is also an amenities block with change rooms, showers and toilets on site and a café located at the entrance to the designated carpark. If you don’t like to pay ridiculous amounts of parking fees and don’t mind a walk up to 1km at most, I would suggest parking in either Peal Place in Warriewood to the north, or to the west of North Narrabeen SLSC in the back streets for free all day parking. Great location to watch and photograph sunsets and also has a massive rock shelf with pools to the north for the kids.

North Narrabeen Rockpool is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. Walking around the pool with the waves splashing and the golden colours of the sun reflecting on the water felt so peaceful and magical. It’s a beautiful spot to relax, take in the views, and enjoy nature at its best. Highly recommend visiting at sunset for the most breathtaking experience!

Located on the Northern Beaches. Large rock pool which is clean and well maintained with lanes marked for swimming laps. Scenic views down to Collaroy, Long Reef and is adjacent to Narrabeen Lagoon. Parking area located about 100 metres away with facilities such as showers and toilets available. A great location at sunrise or sunset for photos.

A great place for not only surfing and swimming in the sea but also a perfect place for families with kids. There’s a lagoon and a rockpool next to the sea that kids can safely swim and enjoy! The upgraded toilet and shower facility just close to the beach is another advantage of this fantastic beach.

Great family beach. Can swim in inlet, rock pool, beach pool or beach itself giving plenty of options depending on the age group. Wheelchair access and decent amenities available (locked at sunset). There is a BBQ and two picnic tables available near the parking lot. Parking is paid and limited however.

Absolutely gorgeous rock pool on the Northern beaches. You should anticipate paying for parking if you are not a resident, but is well with it. There is also a large area where you can play in little rock pools at low tide, though caution is advised to be aware of waves and keeping a safe distance from the cliff. Great for families and brilliant views of the beaches.

Beautiful location, all practical elements available. As a person with a disability (walking stick) the entrance/exit was a little precarious due to the steep incline, just had to take it very slowly, but it was worth the effort. Would like to see some non-slip measures implemented on the walk ways back to the carpark, but not a deal breaker - I'll definitely be back.
E H — Google review
We’d never visited Northbridge Baths before and wondered why when we got there. Wrapped around by beautiful bushland and very expensive houses, this attractive corner of Sydney Harbour is home to this excellent retro bathing enclosure first opened in 1924. It’s all free as a bird: free parking, free entry, free BBQs, no staff, no lifeguards, no opening hours - a little example anarchism in action that really works. The locals look after the place, energised by campaigning against the local council that was planning to shut it down. They seem to have convinced the council to continue to support it too, as everything feels well-maintained now and it’s a great place to bring a picnic and chill. There’s a full 8–lane section for the lappies and still plenty of space for the rest of us. It’ll be at its best around high tide but even towards low it’s still good. We will definitely have this on our “worth revisiting” list.

Nestled beneath the Randwick Golf Club, Malabar Ocean Pool offers a serene escape with stunning views of Long Bay and the Randwick Rifle Range. This charming rock pool has a rich history dating back to the 1890s, although it faced closures due to pollution from the 1950s until its revitalization in 1997. Ideal for those seeking a more tranquil experience away from bustling city beaches, Malabar Ocean Pool is perfect for leisurely swims or laps on warm days.
Beautiful, claim, relaxing to cool off. The ocean pools are a fantastic choice when looking for a place for a dip while to take in the stunning scenery of long bay. Plenty of car parking mainly street parking and a carpark. Would recommend.

Lovely ocean pool, a bit of a locals' spot. One ocean pool as well as many entries into fairly calm waters. There aren't full amenities at the pool, just a shower. For toilets, you'll need to go to Malabar beach. 🚘 Parking lot as well as ample street parking.

Amazing ocean pool and the regulars are very friendly. Cool little swimming area just over the pool wall thats filled with fish (great for kids snorkeling). Easy access with a ramp.
Douglas T — Google review
Went here on a 30-degree Saturday. It's a great secluded rock pool. Rock pool water was pleasant to bath in. The water surrounding it is full of marine life and amazing for snorkelling, spotted several species of fishes around. Seems like enough space and benches to use and does have a shower/rinse station. Parking is available nearby. No toilet, garage bins or change room at this pool which is why I'm giving it a 4 star. Really enjoyed the trip here and would definitely go again.
Haison N — Google review
I don’t recommend the sea pool as compared to others in the area but the beach is great for families and small children. The bay is so protected and a gradual entry that it’s very safe and fun for kids. Dinning and other food options are available there and the coastal walk is great.
Ken F — Google review
Gorgeous ocean hidden near Malabar beach. Beautiful surroundings. Amenities are quite far away which is crying shame because this pool is glorious. Pool floor is very uneven, stairs and ramp can be quite algae covered so care needs to taken but I do highly recommend this pool.
Lisa W — Google review
Malabar Ocean Pool is nestled away from the main beach and quieter than other city beaches ocean pools. It’s a decent sized pool perfect for laps or cooling off in warmer weather. As normal with ocean pools, there is moss build up so can get slippery- be careful! Parking available in the street and it’s a short flight of stairs down to the pool
Niki V — Google review
Overlooking Long Bay and the Randwick Rifle Range on its opposite shore, this asymmetrical rockpool has a long history in various forms, from a small swimming hole in the late 19th Century to a 150 metre monster through much of the 20th, before ending up as this 33 metre version in 1997. There’s no facilities like change rooms or toilets at Malabar Ocean Pool, but it does have everything else: ramps and handrails, outdoor showers, benches to sit on and even hooks to hang your stuff on set into the surrounding rocks. There’s plenty of free parking on the street and it has a nice chilled and casual mainly locals vibe. There’s great fun to be had at the far corner as waves crash over it into the pool and it’s full of marine life for budding snorkelers. At 1.9 metres deep it makes for a good swimming experience. This was our second visit in two years and there’ll probably be a third in the future.

The Domain, a vast grassy area in Sydney's city center, is managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens. Just a short 5-minute drive from the CBD, it's a favorite attraction offering ample space for picnics and sports activities.
The Domain is a great park to sit and relax except when it is close to Christmas time when the Carols are on which I've been to about 5 times now and sat in different areas. Located in Southend of Palm Beach. This is a pool at the end of the beach with a structure separating it from the ocean waves. Beyond the pool, beautiful rocky structures with great view points towards the sea. The rock surfaces have small beautiful pattern formations due to years of erosion by sea waves. Great spot for some photos. People also visit this place for fishing.
Joydip S — Google review
It is located on the Southend if the Palm Beach. The pool is free of entry and it has paid parking in front of it. It has great views in all directions. There is a small jetty there too and saw some people fishing there as well. All in it was a nice clean pool with fishing points.
Rabail A — Google review
At the far southern end of the long hook of Palm Beach, the Palm Beach Rockpool is nearing its centenary. Overlooked by the mansions of the mega-rich, it does have great views in every direction, but you’ll pay for the privilege of swimming with the privileged if you park nearby as we did. At over $14 for 90 minutes we were glad the pool was free of entry fees! This one is a case of location, location, location: it’s nothing too special in and of itself. A bit slimy and weedy with murky water that was significantly colder then the ocean next door. You can expect to find a small, fancy-looking sandstone amenities block (brick would diminish the views of the wealthy) and an outdoor shower, but I’m afraid this one felt like the poor relation of its internationally famous adjoining beach.

The public swimming pool South Curl Curl Rockpool is a great place for anyone who wants to take a swim. There are several lanes for lap swimming, and plenty of shallow sections for kids. The pool also has sand next to it, but there's no shade around. If you park in the free section it's only 5 minutes walk to the south curly rock pool.
Located on Carrington Parade, Curl Curl, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is a fantastic little pool to come to for a quick (or long) swim 🏊. It’s popular with the locals and families. There’s plenty of parking 🅿️ nearby and change rooms at the South Curl Curl Life Saving Club nearby. There’s a level path down to the beach 🏖️ next to the rock pool and also to the Rock Pool. This makes it wheelchair 🦼 accessible. There’s a cafe at the Life Saving Club and if you wanted to, you could walk (or drive to the nearby Harbord Diggers Club for something to eat. There’s a wonderful walking path that leads from the nearby car 🚗 park that takes you around the bottom of the cliffs and the view is stunning 🤩. This is a very family friendly rock pool and I would not hesitate to recommend it. Thumbs Up!!! 👍👍👍

Family discovered this gem on boxing day. Accessibility is fantastic. A level path with ramps to the sand and down into the rock pool, makes it easy to access. The rock pool is shallow for the little ones and leads into a deeper pool for the older ones. Toilets are basic but clean, there's a few steps up into the bathroom with a handrail. Paid Parking (between 7am & 7pm) is right next to the path. Whether you like the surf or calmer rock pool water, there's plenty to enjoy and the view does not disappoint. Highly recommend a visit.

Great rock pool with painted lanes which local lap swimmers use, but there's also plenty of space to splash about for those not wanting to swim laps, and lots of shallow section for any children. Also some sand right next to the rock pool, but no shade around. Toilets with showers, and there's also one undercover, but outdoor shower with a tap. You can get free parking on the street, but it's metered parking the closer you are to the pool or beach. The board walk makes an easy walk between freshwater and south curly and if you park in the free section it is only 5 minutes to south curly rock pool.

A lovely natural rock pool at the north end Coogee beach access via Dunningham Reserve. Great for a dip when the waves are mild but best to stay clear when the ocean is heaving.
Dov F — Google review
This is worth a stop when doing the walk from Coogee to Bondi. The water down by the rocks is a brilliant blue and the scene looking back at the beach is fantastic. You can step right into the water and swim too, if bone chilling water is your thing.

Outdoor swimming pool
Little Bay Rock Pool, also known as the Nurses Pool, has a fascinating history dating back to the 1880s when it was built for nurses to swim safely away from sharks. This cute beach is perfect for families with kids due to its calm waters and absence of waves. Snorkeling enthusiasts will appreciate the abundance of marine life such as small fish and sea urchins. The area is popular among beginners and offers a beautiful setting for swimming and relaxation.
Good little spot scenic views
KC D — Google review
there are two unisex toilets and a rinsing area near the bottom of the beach.. found many shards of broken glass in the sand while we were making sandcastles.. not much big waves so not suitable for bodyboarding sadly :(
Erin L — Google review
Cute beach great for kids because of no waves. Bring your snorkeling gear theres plenty of little fish and sea urchin to see. Great for beginners.

Public swimming pool
Nestled at the northern end of Queenscliff Beach, the 50m Queenscliff Rock Pool is a popular spot for swimmers looking to do laps. Adjacent to this ocean pool is the secret tunnel known as the Wormhole, which leads to Freshwater Beach. While it may get a bit dirty after calm seas, this natural pool offers a unique and refreshing swimming experience.
Queenscliff Rock pool was located at the end of manly Beach ⛱️ its a well maintained pool with enough length and width. There was adequate warning ⚠️ signs 🛑 not to jump from the higher grounds or from the rokes. Its a free 🆓 public pool and anyone can use it.

Beautiful view, big pool, warm water
Samantha — Google review
The eastern guard rail is broken from the force of the waves. It’s not enough to stop three slender brown boys from clinging on to it, turning to free fall into the 1937 concrete sea pool when the white spray hits. The sea pool’s location—Queenscliff—becomes apparent when one boy swears, only to be sharply rebuked by his mate: “Language!” You’ll find this sea pool by either crossing the golden sand from Queenscliff Surf Lifesaving Club on Manly side of the creek, or by a stairway down the cliff from the Freshwater side. Be warned, this was a moderate surf day, if it is pounding with a south swell, this northern hook location might not be the safest place to swim or get to from either direction. The rocky outcrop has a great bench seat to watch the young boys jump from the rock into the pool, but be warned, some waves will reach your perch. Defaced signs tell you—of course—that this is forbidden. I liked the big briny smell, wildness and choppy pool waves here, that one surfboard rider was also enjoying.
Jackie M — Google review
An easy accessible ocean pool in Queenscliff. The facilities weren't as good as other ocean/rock pools that I've visited. Pretty views across to Manly from the rocky outcrop near pool accessed by stairs.
Lisa W — Google review
A beautiful pool by the ocean with a great view of sunrise and the ocean. Parking may be a challenge, but if you are early, you get it without any hassles.. 😌
Srinath H — Google review
There is a literal hole in the wall place to explore nearby! A nice walk but difficult for those who are less mobile. The walk to freshie along the rocks is beautiful but would be challenging for some.
James P — Google review
Nice 50m pool, good for doing lengths or for a relaxed dip when the sea is too rough. Water isn't very clear but still a great pool.
Louise F — Google review
Pool wasn't very crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Conveniently located on the north of Manly beach.

Nice public rock pool with changing, shower and toilet facilities. The early April weekend weather was crisp high teens and sub 20°C and the water was pleasantly cool.
David F — Google review
Really nice beach with clear water. It's a good place to spend time with family and friends. There are a picnic area with a couple bbqs, a playground, and walking track with breathtaking view.
Diana M — Google review
Sensational local pool. Family friendly, coffee up the road. Huge fenced kids area in the park. You can't go wrong.
Scott P — Google review
A stunning spot. We swim in this rockpool regularly and it's especially nice when you have a family picnic in Shelly Park and the children have a lovely day swimming. This is a well kept, clean Rock Pool and so is the surrounding park area. Not always crowded. There are toilet facilities, BBQ areas and a corner shop close by. You can usually find parking here easy enough.
