Nestled along the picturesque Sydney Harbour, Taronga Zoo is a must-visit destination for animal lovers and adventure seekers alike. Home to over 350 distinct species, this vibrant zoo offers an immersive experience that connects visitors with wildlife in a stunning natural setting. Accessible via a scenic ferry ride from the city center, it provides breathtaking views of iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
An absolutely wonderful place and what a view! So many animals to look at and they all seem very healthy and well looked after. There's loads of viewing areas for each enclosure and space for everyone. We visited on a busy school holiday day and there was enough room for all. I love the fact that there are lots of zoo workers around to help or answer questions. The ticket price is well worth it. Well done Taronga Zoo.
Debs M — Google review
Beautiful zoo, very well maintained and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of walking areas and shaded promenades. The full visit, including the shows, takes around 4 to 5 hours. My advice: arrive early in the morning when the animals (especially the koalas) are most active. The views are absolutely stunning — overlooking the entire Sydney skyline, the Opera House, and Harbour Bridge. Staff are super friendly and helpful. A must-do for anyone visiting Sydney or looking for a great day escape!
Arnaud B — Google review
Fantastic zoo, really well built and easy to navigate. The enclosures are all really well done and the animals look very happy and healthy. The food market was great and plenty of water stations around. I was surprised that the zoo didn't have any elephants but the seals did make up for it. We were lucky to catch the seal show which was brilliant. All in all a great day out.

I’m visiting from California. It’s a beautiful zoo. Public transportation made it easy to get there. I was there on Saturday, October 3, 2025, about 30 minutes after it opened. I bought my tickets online as suggested at their gate. I didn’t wait in line and took the shuttle up. You can start at the bottom if you want. The Zoo is hilly but there are a lot of ramps for wheelchair access or strollers. Great place to take your family or do a solo trip. Also, there are water fountains and bathrooms everywhere. Photos are taken using the iPhone 17 pro max. Some photos are using the 8x zoom. I’m not a professional photographer.

I had an amazing time at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney! Definitely best to go for a full day to get the most out of it. The ferry across from Circular Quay was beautiful with great views of the opera house on the way (roughly 15 minute ferry transfer) Once we arrived there was a slight wait for the bus to travel up to the entrance - you can walk up but it’s a fair distance to the top and I found it was nice to work you way down the zoo from the top to the bottom. Lots of animals to see and experiences with close encounters. Only downside really was the food which was a bit average but not terrible all things considered.
Gianni P — Google review
Beautiful. Fun to get to via the ferries and direct bus service are convenient. Staff at the hut where Zoo members/friends go for free entry could be nicer, staff inside are wonderful, had a young lad help us to seats at a packed bird show. Cute restuarant (wish we had lunch there), the food court, where we had lunch unfortunetly, had overflowing bins and zero trays to carry your food. The Zoo itself is very hilly and takes a good full day to see and experience everything.
Kathryn D — Google review
Not the best zoo but a fun day out and is pretty cool being able to see animals with the city behind. Cons were that a lot of the animals were sleeping and out of sight or just impossible to see, probably didn’t help that we came across the giraffe first and they were probably the best to watch. Good to check out but won’t be in a hurry to go back
Jacinta M — Google review
Took the ferry from Circular Quay across to the Zoo on a Sunday. It’s a large site to walk around but what we really wanted to see were the Australian native animals of kangaroos, koalas, emus, wallaby’s etc which we did as well as red pandas, snakes, seals, birds etc. and indeed we did!! Overall a great way to spend a few hours in a nice environment.

WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is a compact yet diverse zoo located conveniently on the Darling Harbour foreshore, making it an ideal stop for those looking to experience Australia's iconic wildlife without dedicating an entire day. The zoo features walk-through habitats where visitors can encounter native animals such as kangaroos, koalas, wombats, platypuses, and crocodiles.
A perfect place to take kids or overseas visitors but also lovely to visit this slice of Australian wildlife in the centre of the city. It is set out very well and has displays of icon Aussie animals and some surprising inclusions such as bugs and snakes. There are great talks by knowledgeable experts and you can see feeding as well. There is a cafe in the top level near the koalas. A good souvenir shop at the exit. A fun place and educational.
G M — Google review
We visited Sydney Zoo with my old parents and the kids. We had a good day and enjoyed it. We couldn’t find some animals, which was funny — maybe we missed them! The zoo isn’t very big, and there weren’t tons of animals, but what we saw was nice. The entrance fee was a bit pricey, I think. Overall, we had fun and everyone enjoyed it. The kids loved seeing the animals, and my parents liked the easy access and shade. Would go again, just maybe not for the animals alone, it’s more for a family day out.
Shenna Q — Google review
We visited WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and enjoyed seeing so many native Australian animals up close, especially the koalas and kangaroos. The exhibits are well presented and the staff were friendly and helpful. At the same time, we couldn’t help but feel sorry for some of the animals given the limited space. Overall, it was still an interesting and worthwhile visit.
T — Google review
The WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is a fantastic showcase of Australia’s unique and diverse wildlife, right in the heart of the city at Darling Harbour. What makes it so special is the way it brings the country’s most iconic animals together in one immersive setting, giving both locals and visitors the chance to experience the richness of Australia’s natural heritage without leaving Sydney. 🦘 A Celebration of Australian Animals From the moment you enter, you’re greeted with creatures that define the Australian landscape. Kangaroos and wallabies roam in open enclosures where you can see them up close, and the koalas—always a highlight—make for unforgettable encounters, especially in the dedicated Koala Rooftop area. For many international visitors, seeing these animals in such an intimate way is an absolute dream. 🐊 Reptiles, Birds & More The zoo also offers thrilling encounters with some of Australia’s more formidable residents. The massive saltwater crocodile is a true showstopper, reminding visitors of the raw power of the country’s reptiles. Colorful native birds, snakes, and lizards round out the collection, each presented in habitats designed to reflect their natural environments. The variety is impressive—whether you love marsupials, reptiles, or feathered friends, there’s something here to amaze you. 🌿 Design & Atmosphere Despite being in the middle of the city, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo feels surprisingly immersive. The enclosures are thoughtfully designed to balance visitor access with animal comfort, and the pathways wind naturally from one habitat to another. You can wander through lush greenery, step into walk-through aviaries, and enjoy encounters that feel close but respectful. It’s compact enough to explore in a few hours, yet packed with highlights that make it feel far bigger than its footprint. 👏 Staff & Experiences The staff deserve special mention—their enthusiasm and knowledge bring the zoo to life. Keeper talks and feeding demonstrations aren’t just educational, they’re engaging and fun, helping visitors of all ages connect with the animals on a deeper level. Families with kids especially benefit from the interactive displays and hands-on learning opportunities. ✨ Why It’s Worth Visiting What sets WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo apart is the convenience of experiencing Australia’s most famous animals all in one place, just steps away from the harbor. For tourists on a short stay, it’s an incredible opportunity to see kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and crocodiles without needing to travel into the outback. For locals, it’s a reminder of the extraordinary biodiversity that makes Australia unique. ⸻ ✅ In short: WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is beautifully designed, educational, and full of memorable encounters. With its diverse collection, friendly staff, and unbeatable location, it offers a wonderful taste of Australia’s wildlife right in the city center.
Min M — Google review
One of the best zoos we’ve ever been to! The animals are clearly all so well cared for, with spacious enclosures for them all and as a result we were able to see many of them active and playing with one another. The two baby chimps were so fun to watch! Our daughter did the keeper for a day behind the scenes activity and loved it.
Courtney S — Google review
Good choice on rainy days as it is largely opaque and covered outside. The koala experience was fun and you also get some pictures to go with it. The zoo is nicely decorated according to the animals you can see. Ideal for with children!
Pieter W — Google review
It's located close to Darling harbour, along with Sea Life aquarium and Madamme Tussads. We visited here on a weekday morning. It was less crowded. There are a lot of animals here, specifically the ones local to Australia that you get to see. You get to see Koala, Kangaroo, Crocodile, Tasmanian Devil, reptiles, etc. They also let you take photos with the Koala. There are various programs as well spread out the day focussed on Koala, Kangaroo, etc. The premises are well maintained and clean. They have accessibility throughout the premises too. There's a cafe near to Koala spot for light eats and beverages. Overall we enjoyed the day visiting here and totally worth it. Recommend to purchase the entrance ticket as a combo alongside nearby attractions.
Vinayak K — Google review
If you are really hard pressed for time and have to tick off seeing the big 5, go for it. It is a small place. The female Kangaroo's are much smaller in size and mostly just laying around. A few Koala's as well but I really did not get to see them in action. A tad bit disappointed but the zoo staff are kind. They interact with you and tell you more about the animals, if you ask them.

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is a must-visit aquatic attraction in Sydney, offering five distinct habitat exhibitions showcasing Australia's marine life. Conveniently located near Circular Quay, it provides easy access for visitors. The aquarium houses a diverse range of ocean creatures and offers educational sessions on animal feeding and more. It's an ideal family-friendly activity that allows you to explore the rich underwater world of Australia's aquatic animals.
SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is an amazing experience and a must-visit in the city! The variety of marine life is incredible – from playful penguins and graceful rays to the impressive sharks swimming right above you in the tunnel. The exhibits are beautifully set up, and you really feel like you’re exploring the underwater world. It’s a fantastic spot for families, couples, or even solo visits. The penguin boat ride is a unique highlight, and the jellyfish displays are absolutely stunning. Everything is well maintained, and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend adding this to your Sydney itinerary – it’s both fun and educational!
Kasuni S — Google review
The aquarium is big and full of amazing marine life. It’s right next to Wild Life and Madame Tussauds, so you can easily visit all three in one morning. I recommend going early to enjoy everything without rushing. I got my tickets online with a great deal — one pass for the Aquarium, the Zoo, and the Tower Eye. Such a magical place for kids! 🐠🐧✨
Carmela A — Google review
Really loved this aquarium. Easy to buy tickets online (and can save when bundling with collocated attractions). Highlight was the Dugong (unique to Indo-west Pacific). But the "ride" thru the penguins was fantastic (and unique among ALL the aquariums we have visited). Located on Darling Harbour, it's a wonderful "touristy" area in central Sydney. It was an easy 30 minute walk from our hotel near Hyde Park. Very friendly for wheelchairs and strollers to boot. Highly recommend!!!
Alan B — Google review
I had an absolutely incredible time at SEA LIFE Sydney! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was magical — the lighting, the ocean sounds, and the stunning underwater tunnels made me feel like I was truly part of the marine world. The variety of sea creatures was impressive — from playful penguins and graceful rays to the majestic sharks gliding right above you. The Great Barrier Reef exhibit was especially breathtaking, with its vibrant corals and colourful tropical fish. What really stood out was how well-maintained and educational the place is. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to share interesting facts about the animals. It’s clear they genuinely care about conservation and marine life. The penguin encounter and the glass tunnel were unforgettable highlights — perfect for both kids and adults! I left feeling inspired and in awe of how beautiful and fragile our oceans are. Highly recommend SEA LIFE Sydney to anyone visiting the city — it’s worth every moment.
Pankaj T — Google review
Lots of varieties of fishes, sharks, rays and many other sea life. Dugong and penguins is a bliss to watch. There is a free 2 min penguin ride in the aquarium, and it really is suitable for the kids. Worth for a day visit along with kids or even as friends. Takes almost 2-3 hours to complete the whole place. There is also a small cafe inside the Aquarium for quick Bites and coffee. Soft drinks are available as well.
Pradeesh J — Google review
Sea life Sydney was a wonderful experience.I have been to other Aquariums in different cities but this one is the best so far. We have purchased tickets same day and there was hardly any waiting time. Tickets are slightly cheaper if purchased online day before. Best part was watching penguins. Boat ride to penguins was very very short. Time should be extended for that. Not able to watch them properly while we were in boat. Very well built with clear directions.
SK — Google review
After a sunny walk along Darling Harbour, I stepped into SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium — and instantly, the city’s buzz gave way to the calm rhythm of the ocean. Inside, I wandered through glowing tunnels surrounded by schools of fish, graceful rays, and sleek sharks gliding just overhead. The coral displays shimmered with colour, while the penguins brought a touch of playful charm to the experience. What struck me most was how beautifully the aquarium captures Australia’s marine diversity — from the vibrant Great Barrier Reef to the mysterious Southern Ocean. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, immersive, and surprisingly peaceful. Whether you’re a curious traveller or simply seeking a moment of wonder, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is a captivating reminder of the life that thrives beneath Australia’s waves.

Dinner Experience at night held on every 2nd Friday of the month until November $650pp for the after hours dining experience, definitely well worth it if you are having a milestone with your partner, there was a couple getting married doing the proposal at the end. Highly recommended the cheviche and beef options, as the seafood entree was nice but the meat entrees was amazing. Sealife staff are super friendly, then the dining staff are amazing and lovely, massive thank you to the photographer lady on the night. Without realising it, you helped me. Thank you.

Nestled just 45 minutes from Sydney's bustling CBD, Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park is a delightful escape for animal enthusiasts and families alike. This charming wildlife sanctuary boasts an impressive collection of over 1,700 birds, mammals, and reptiles, making it one of the largest showcases of Australian wildlife in the world. Unlike larger zoos that can feel overwhelming, Featherdale offers a more intimate experience where visitors can engage closely with its adorable residents like wallabies and koalas.
I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park with my tourist group. One of the highlights was getting to take a photo with a koala, and I felt such joy feeding many animals, including the kangaroos. Those moments will forever hold a special place in my memory. The zoo, while not overly large, has a charming layout. Upon entering, you receive a booklet that serves as your guide—it's such a delightful touch! As you make your way through the different areas, you can stamp the booklet to mark the places you’ve visited, which adds a playful aspect to the experience. Although, like any zoo, it has its unique smells, I was truly impressed by the dedication of the staff. Their passion for caring for the animals shines through in every interaction. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this lovely zoo if you ever have the chance; the close-up encounters with the wildlife are both heartwarming and unforgettable.
Miao M — Google review
About an hour outside Sydney, this animal park is a great way to see some of Australia’s iconic wildlife up close—kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. It’s very convenient for a day trip from the city, though it can get a bit crowded with tourists. I visited as part of a tour, which made it easy and enjoyable. For anyone short on time who wants a taste of Australia’s unique animals, this is definitely a worthwhile experience.
Mo K — Google review
Best part of the park is hand feeding the wallabies. They are just so cute and friendly! They are free to roam, though they are scaredy cats so close the gates gently to avoid them panicking and running for their lives! After this visit, I think they are the cutest animals in Australia, way way cuter than the always sleeping koala and the slow moving quokkas. The animals are very well taken care of, except for the wallabies which seem always hungry (maybe they'll be fed again after the zoo closes?). I visit on a rainy day which was a bit inconvenient because there're not enough places with a roof. But still it was fun checking out the animals. Though they seem less energetic. Quokkas are in enclosures, so if you only interested in them, you may want to buy the encounter package, which I think is quite expensive. Also, be sure to go to the lorikeet walk in which you can see the birds up close, but bear in mind it closes at 2. Tickets are cheap on Trip.com. I purchased on the day I went and it was around AUD 22. Animal food was AUD 5 a cup which was way more than enough to feed. I end up going back to near the entrance to feed the remainder to the wallabies. Overall very worthwhile taking the long trip to this zoo.
Ada L — Google review
One of the best wild life "zoos" in town, nestled in a suburban area, sufficient parking, and all wildlife within close proximity. Well cared for by staff, including volunteers. Staff willingly provide info about displays during timely feeding sessions, including photo sessions with koala, and close encounter in some displays, public can hand feed the "residents". Most impressive were "tree kangaroo", rock wallabies, quokkas, wallabies and echidna. Easy walk and compact exhibits. Reptiles, blue tongue and shingle back lizards... great easy 2+ hours' wallk.
Jeff C — Google review
We had a wonderful time at the sanctuary and enjoyed seeing all the nat ive Australian animals. It was very Hands-On and great for children because they can safely explore and enjoy the experience more freely than a larger, more structured zoo setting. All of these staff were very friendly and hands on. The gift shop was also great with lots of Australia souvenirs.
Laura B — Google review
Thoroughly enjoy Featherdale more than Sydney Zoo if you’re looking for a leisurely day with the little ones. There’s more feeding and petting opportunities with the kangaroos and wallabies who are super friendly, the enclosures are closer to each other and there’s a lot of overhead shade especially during the hotter months. There’s less crowds and food pricing is also a lot more reasonable. Kids under 2 are free Stamp stations keep the little ones excited to explore the whole park
SaiyanRoyce — Google review
Bit of a pokey location... literally in a neighbourhood. That said... for a privately run facility, there are loads of animals to see and you can even feed the roos. Nowhere near a Taronga obviously but definitely smaller and easier on the legs who can't do the Taronga distances. Worth a visit at least once.
Wondering F — Google review
So many more animals than we were expecting! Especially considering the zoo is so compact, which makes it really easy to walk around. The tree kangaroo was a particular favourite. Little bit awkward to get to from Sydney as the trains weren’t running when we visited, however it was well worth getting the bus.

Amidst the bustling urban landscape of Sydney, this oasis provides a unique opportunity to enjoy breathtaking scenery while sipping cocktails and observing majestic lions.
As part of our tour group visit to Sydney Zoo, I was genuinely impressed by the overall experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was well-organized, and the staff were friendly and informative, making the visit both smooth and enjoyable. The layout of the zoo made it easy to navigate as a group, and the elevated boardwalks offered excellent views of the animals without feeling overcrowded. Highlights included the Australian wildlife section, where we got up close with koalas and kangaroos, and the African savannah area, which was beautifully designed and gave us clear views of giraffes, lions, and zebras. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, providing interesting facts that added depth to what we were seeing. Overall, Sydney Zoo delivered a fantastic day out—clean facilities, accessible paths, and a strong focus on conservation made it a highlight of our trip.

Just visited th Sydney Zoo!! Absolutely brilliant!! The layout is exceptionally well designed, making it easy to see most of the animals up close. The aquarium, reptiles, and snake exhibits were top-notch and really engaging. The Peppa Pig show was a highlight — the kids loved it! Highly recommend it for families looking for a well-planned and enjoyable day out.

I recently visited Sydney Zoo and it was such a fun and enjoyable experience. The zoo is very clean, well-organized, and easy to walk around. The enclosures are modern and spacious, and it’s great to see the animals up close, especially the lions, giraffes, and elephants. The staff were friendly and gave good information about the animals. I really liked the Australian section where you can see kangaroos and koalas so closely. It’s also a great place for families—lots of food stalls, shaded areas, and nice places to take photos. Overall, Sydney Zoo is a perfect spot for a day out with family or friends. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Sydney!

Wow great start to making a zoo. Enclosure (to me) were some of the best. I enjoyed the Africa theme and some of favourites. It was hot, dusty and windy as walk ways are still gravel/ dirt. Love the above platform walkway and very user friendly: wheelchair or pram. I highly recommend their animal encounters. I met a beautiful Hyena. I visited from 10am and finished at 230pm. My only down side was ( public holiday) and the coffee was gone by 230pm! Should have grabbed it earlier.

It is a very well laid out zoo. Clean and organized. As part of the tour we had out photos taken with the Koalas 🐨. Have to admit, they're pretty cute. My wife fed the kangaroos, a Joey to be exact. She absolutely loved that portion of the zoo. All the animals we were able to see was very nice. I would definitely recommend a trip here to see this attraction. There are plenty of areas to rest, get a snack, a gift shop to buy souvenirs. The staff working here are very friendly and professional. They look after the animals very well and seem to enjoy their jobs and the animals they care for.

Great day out. Plenty of animals to see and the enclosures are beautiful. Lots of school kids around on the weekday but otherwise very quiet. Food is very expensive but looked very nice. Took around 2 hrs to walk around but had a second wonder to see the animals I missed. For an excellent family day out do not miss the sydney zoo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Sydney Zoo today. It was our first visit and we were certainly impressed. The animal enclosures were spacious, had lots of elements for enrichment activities for the animals and lots of greenery too! Getting about was easy, lots of people space and loads of seating options, most in the shade (greatly appreciated). Food options were good and reasonably priced and great customer service too! Gift shop was a generous size and was impressed by the reasonable pricing, especially the animal plushes. Overall, a great experience and we will be back again!

Beautiful enclosures and a great variety of animals. REALLY enjoyed the pleasure of feeding the Emu and Kangaroo. We've been to many zoos and these exhibits were done if the nicest we've seen anywhere!!!

Koala Park Sanctuary Sydney is a 10-acre wildlife park featuring lush rainforest and eucalyptus groves, providing a home to various Australian animals such as koalas, kangaroos, dingoes, wallabies, emus, wombats, and native birds. The sanctuary offers numerous opportunities for visitors to interact with the animals through keeper-led presentations and photo sessions.
A lovely small wildlife sanctuary. We were surprised at how much there was, and it was a really nice trip out for the afternoon. It was so incredible to get up close to the kangaroos, they were all so gentle and friendly. The sheep and goats are a lot more rowdy (they ate our entire bag of food and covered us in mud) but that being said they did give us a good laugh. The koala talk was also amazing, I appreciated the way we were able to get up close to the koalas but were told not to touch them which reassures me that they care for the animals first and foremost.
Harmony S — Google review
Much better than expected, great value. They have a good range of animals and several places you can pet the animals at no extra cost. Informative keeper talks and you can get up close to almost all the animals. The one star lost is that this place is not disability friendly. The pavement is old and uneven so wheelchairs and anyone unsteady on their feet may have a hard time getting around. The established trees name this place feel like you are in the remote bush with these animals, a great experience.
Upgrtan G — Google review
Cannot believe how amazing this place is. From outside it looks quite unassuming so we drove past it numerous times and didn’t visit until now. The animals are so lovely and interactions are simply magical memory. Even the cafe food are nice. Easily had a great relaxing time with animals in a natural setting.
Lei X — Google review
I had a lovely time, went by myself and stayed ~4 hours. The part that surprised me most was the staff, they were so very human. I've been to many wildlife sanctuaries where the staff are just worker drones, but here EVERY staff member will happily talk. Especially enjoyed the fact that they didn't "pretend to know" things, one lady even told me she wasn't sure of an answer to my question so she wrote it down on a notepad so she could research and know for future reference. I'm so happy to see young, passionate people in fields like this.
James D — Google review
Koala Park is an okay place to spend a couple of hours, but it’s not something I’d call a must-visit. The koala show was definitely the best part—the presenter explained everything very clearly and made it easy to understand, which was enjoyable. Apart from that, the park felt quite limited. There weren’t many other animals or activities to keep things exciting, so after the show, there wasn’t much to explore. It’s fine if you’re already in the area and want a short outing, but I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip just for this. Overall, a decent experience mainly for the koala show, but not much beyond that.
T J — Google review
The park is well mainitained. The map given at the entrance is bit confusing and seems odd at few locations but one can figure out by proactively walking around. There are nice information session conducted by the staff. There are nice activities for kids. They can feed the kangaroos and pet them. You can buy the food for kangaroos at the entrance. In case you have forgotten, there is ample food available in the kangaroos section. You can use that to feed them. Overall, a good experience.
Ahmad U — Google review
Amazing place that is extremely underrated. We had a wonderful time feeding the kangaroos, going for a walk with a dingo and taking photos standing next to the koalas. The grounds are neatly kept and the animals well taken care of. Would recommend to anyone showing overseas guests around who would like to have an up close and personal experience with Ausie animals.
Danielle B — Google review
Well worth the time to get here, great variety of animals, very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Attended the Koala talk which was a great opportunity to get closer to them. You can feed the kangaroos too which was very worth it. Cafe food was nice. Would definitely recommend.

Golden Ridge Animal Farm in Dural, Sydney is a popular destination in the Hills District. It offers an interactive farm experience for children to get close to farm animals such as cows, rabbits, ducks and chickens. Kids can hold baby chicks and ducklings, milk cows and even bottle feed baby lambs. The animals are friendly and tame which makes it a great experience for families looking to keep their little ones entertained.
I took my husband here as a birthday surprise because he loves petting animals, and we had an absolute blast! We got to hold baby chicks, bunnies and ducklings (favourite bit), as well as feed chickens, geese, horses, goats, alpacas, donkeys and sheep. The baby goats were adorable and friendly and there were fun activities to do with your kids if you wanted. Would definitely recommend as an experience!

This is the best place for a family outing. Children especially have fun and have a great time feeding the animals. The staff is very friendly and well organised. Pony rides for the children are a highlight of the farm. We love animals and enjoyed their company. Highly recommended place for children and family.
Dinesh S — Google review
Such a fun place for a family outing! You are able to feed all the animals, even has a part to go in and pat the babies at no extra cost. They also have pony rides and egg collecting which are fun for little ones! They have some snacks available for purchase but no cafe so bring your own food. My toddler still talks about the farm so we are coming back soon!
Paris G — Google review
The place and experience was great. Wish we could get a chance to milk feed some of the baby animals, it’s only available for particular participants. The area was quite large and had a lot of animals. All animals were friendly and the feed bucket was a good size too. I truly wish they had a staff member monitoring the free zone area near the baby goats and sheep’s. some people, kids and even adults were not treating the animals with care. As the goats tried to escape multiple times the ppl were quite aggressive with them. I also wish they had a more variety of animals too but overall a really fun place even for adults!
Sehreen F — Google review
The children loved this farm experience. It is so interactive that the children weren't even interested in having a snack, which is saying alot for toddlers. You are required to book in advance but it means that there is no wait times and plenty of opportunities to spend time with the animals without feeling crowded. We will definitely go back!

Wow amazing. So much to do and keep the kids entertained. Staff were easy and straight forward. Beautiful animals and very friendly.

Hidden gem just 30 min away from Sydney CBD. Best farm i have been to hands down. The staff are so nice and cooperative! There’s plenty of animals and different add on activities to do like pony riding and egg collecting and a small sand pit too for kids. There’s even a room full of excavators which is a kids dream. Must go!

Family friendly with a lot of opportunities to pet domesticated farm animals. The kids we very happy. We had a nought time wil all the animals and it took us about 1.5 hours. I think it is reasonably priced for the fun that all of us got out of it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Calmsley Hill City Farm is a large, family-friendly zoo near Sydney. The zoo features many animals and interactive shows, plus a picnic area and cafe.
Great place to take the kids. It was my youngest first time seeing farm animals up close. He really enjoyed feeding goats and patting all of the animals. The goats were entertaining and all other animals were friendly and use to a pat, so where quite gentle around the kids. We did not do the tractor ride, however that takes you further around the farm. There is a playground and cafe there as well, with reasonably priced food.
Christopher H — Google review
This place is a hidden gem! I absolutely loved that you could pat and feed almost every animal there. My family and I especially enjoyed the dog show—it was amazing learning all about the hardworking Kelpies. We even got to pat and play with Purl and Charlie, two incredible working dogs! Lunch was delicious, though there was a bit of a wait (about 30–45 minutes), so just something to keep in mind. I really appreciated that the animals had special rest spots, giving them a break from visitors when they needed it. Such a thoughtful and caring setup! I definitely recommend visiting in the morning when the animals are hungry and active. The staff were all so friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. We also took the tractor ride—it was short (around 5 minutes) but still really fun!

We had a lovely time! The farm is stroller friendly and there's so much for the kids to see. Even on a very hot crowded day, there's enough and more places to sit and eat/rest in the shade. The schnitzel burger was so good too!
Kavindi — Google review
We have been more than 15 times into he last 3 years. My children love the farm animals and I love how easy it is to move around the area. Perfect for children aged 1 to 5 years for a midweek day out. There are often schools doing excursions but it doesn't really impact your visit. The cafe on-site also provides decent coffee and food and the cost of it is reasonable

Highly recommended !! A hidden gem . It’s a great place to spend a day with kids . Farm is neatly maintained with manageable walks for kids to explore all animal’s barns/shelters Engaging activities like milking cow, sheep shearing , stock whip are really informative & Educational for kids . A short tractor ride is fun too . Cafeteria in farm serves delicious food and it’s not too expensive. Overall an awesome experience .

Wonderful place for kids to have great fun. The farm is really big with beautiful peacocks dancing around the lovely cafe. There were many birthday parties happening as well. The Sydney Opera House is an iconic arts center located on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, offering breathtaking views of the harbor, bridge, and city skyline. With over 1,600 performances annually, it hosts a diverse range of events including opera, theatre, music, dance, and comedy shows. This architectural marvel is a must-see attraction that draws millions of visitors each year. Its unique design and cultural significance make it a standout feature of the picturesque Sydney Harbour.
The Sydney Opera House is truly one of the world’s most iconic landmarks and an unforgettable place to visit. From the moment you arrive at Circular Quay and catch sight of its unique sail-shaped design, you feel a sense of awe and admiration. The architecture is absolutely stunning, blending modern creativity with timeless elegance. It is not only a symbol of Sydney but also a masterpiece that represents Australia to the world. Visiting the Opera House offers much more than just admiring its exterior. Inside, the atmosphere is equally impressive, with beautifully designed concert halls and theatres that provide excellent acoustics and world-class performances. Whether it is a symphony, ballet, opera, or theatre production, every show staged here feels special because of the venue’s ambience. The quality of performances is always outstanding, leaving the audience inspired and entertained. The location of the Opera House makes the experience even more memorable. Surrounded by the sparkling waters of Sydney Harbour, it offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset when the building glows against the skyline. Walking around the Opera House, you can also enjoy the Royal Botanic Gardens nearby or take in the lively atmosphere of Circular Quay. What makes the Sydney Opera House even more appealing is that it welcomes everyone. You don’t have to attend a performance to appreciate it—you can simply tour the building, enjoy its cafes, or relax by the harbour. It is a must-visit attraction that perfectly combines art, culture, and natural beauty.

Booked the tour and dining experience for $81 weeks in advance. Tour started and ended on time with a group of around 20. Headsets were provided so that everyone can hear the live tour guide. They will ask you to check in any medium or large sizes bags or backpacks, but it's easy and free. Tour involved some easy, short walks and steps, but anyone can manage. Very informative and worth doing. The dining add on gives you 3 restaurant options to choose from, all very close by. There's a special, limited menu just for this deal. I chose Midden which had no wait for lunch time and went with the barramundi dish and pinot grigio. The fish was excellent, perfectly cooked and thoughtfully flavored. Asked for no added salt and they were able to accommodate. Wine was good as well and recommended by the server. Overall, a great tour and dining experience that's reasonably priced

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Iconic Masterpiece! The Sydney Opera House is truly one of the most breathtaking landmarks I’ve ever visited. The architecture is stunning from every angle — whether you’re viewing it from the harbour, the bridge, or up close, it never loses its magic. The area around Circular Quay is lively, with great cafes and restaurants, and the atmosphere feels uniquely Sydney. I attended a performance here and the acoustics were incredible, making the whole experience unforgettable. Even just walking around the forecourt at sunset is worth the visit. Perfect spot for photos, relaxing, and soaking in the city’s energy. Highly recommend visiting both day and night — it’s a world-class attraction that lives up to every bit of its fame.
Suraj S — Google review
The structure is amazing… just like the pictures you see in Internet. Easy to move around. Handicap friendly. Many spots for snacks and even for lunch or dinner. Inside is big enough to run several events at the same time. We saw The Shiralee… excellent play presentation. Buster really run the show. The terrace around the Opera offers great spots for pictures and opportunities to crash on weddings… many diverse weddings. If you have time, you can visit the Botanical Garden nearby. You can’t miss it, if you are in Sydney!
Yolanda G — Google review
Of course, the iconic tourist attraction! We usually only take pictures from the outside whenever visiting the Sydney Opera House (SOH). But Alhamdulillah this year we had the chance to watch the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) performance. The architecture is really unique. The view from inside SOP to the Harbour Bridge and the surrounding areas is breathtaking! Each performance lasted around 1.5 hours. The multimedia facility as additional modern setting adds to the amazing theatrical experience. I did not expect to watch the ACO with documentary screening as background. There are bar and café on the main concern hall that serves drinks and light snacks. You can enter from the main entrance located under the primary stairs structure, or you can enter via a door with security check-in table to right after the tourist ticketing area. There are many concerts and arts performances for all ages, not just classical opera or orchestra as I used to think. Well, a famous landmark does not need recommendation. It speaks for itself.
Ira S — Google review
This is a wonderful place where has stunning scenery, cheerful atmosphere, and a broad footpath. I just come here and walk beside the sea and it is unforgettable because of the relaxing atmosphere and the sound of waves. In my experience, it is suitable for solo travel if you get into walking around and watching good scenery.

Beautiful building. Fantastic to hear a performance in the Concert Hall. Take the Architectural Tour - history of design and build, with building's features - is a must. Our tour guide was Peter, a former architect, so we had an especially great tour. Lunch was an extra treat!

From the moment I saw your magnificent building for the first time, I felt a deep, powerful sense of wonder. Growing up in Vanuatu, a place where our history and stories are carved into sand and told through generations of song and dance, the Sydney Opera House was an icon of a different kind of artistry—a modern-day masterpiece and a long-held dream.

We were underwhelmed with the quality and the likeness of many if the stars. Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman were examples that were REALLY poor. There were certainly lots of great examples (Prince Harry and Megan were superb). The layout of the facility was good but we were there when a bunch of children were there and the small rooms trapped the sound. There was almost a group of foreigners the monopolized EVERY exhibit posing with the models. We went thru in less than an hour so it's a good value...but not enough to overcome the quality flaws.

Outdoor Activities
Shelly Beach, located in Manly NSW, is a serene and picturesque cove just a short walk from the bustling Manly Beach. It is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and rich marine life, making it a favorite destination for snorkelers, scuba divers, and sunbathers seeking a peaceful coastal retreat. Unlike other Sydney beaches, Shelly Beach faces west, offering an exceptional setting to soak up the afternoon sun or witness stunning sunsets.
Shelly Beach feels like a little lagoon at the edge of the city. The walk from Manly builds the anticipation, then the headland opens and you see a neat curve of sand, rock shelves on both sides and water that often looks as clear as glass. Mornings are lovely here. Locals filter in with masks and fins, kids do the sand shuffle at the shoreline, and you can hear the low boom of swell on the outer reef while the bay itself stays calm. It is one of those places where you drop your towel, take a breath and feel the pace of the day soften. Bring a snorkel if you can. This is part of a marine reserve, and it shows. Float over ribbons of kelp and scattered boulders and you will usually spot schools of sweep and mado, the odd ray sliding across the sand and, if you are lucky, a blue groper cruising like it owns the place. Entry from the sand is simple and friendly for beginners. On days with a little surge, fins help and it pays to stay closer to the centre of the bay. The water clarity can be excellent after a run of light winds, so early starts often reward you with the best visibility and fewer people. Everything you need sits close by. There are toilets, showers and taps behind the beach, barbecues and picnic tables tucked under the trees, and a café at the back for coffee or something cold between swims. Shade on the sand is limited, so a hat, water and sunscreen make life easier. Parking on nearby streets fills quickly on sunny weekends; the ferry to Manly and a short stroll along the path is the stress free option. Leave nothing but footprints, give the wildlife space and linger a little after your swim. Watching the colour of the bay shift while you warm up on the rocks is half the joy of Shelly.

Nice and quiet beach close to the manly national park. Nice sunset and view of the bay. The walk to get there is as beautiful as the beach. Fun to spot all the little sculptures in the rock along the way!!

By far the most relaxing beach we've been to around Sydney. It gets busy but feels less cramped than other popular beaches. There's some nice shaded areas here too

Hyde Park Barracks, erected in 1819 in Sydney, Australia, served as a prison for British convicts and later housed female immigrants and destitute elderly women. The barracks transitioned through various roles over the years, including functioning as a courthouse and government offices. Today, it offers visitors a glimpse into the lives of convicts and orphans who lived there in the 1800s through twice-daily tours or audio guides.
Free entry and would definitely recommend picking up the free audio guide as you enter, not many of the displays have written information and you would be a bit lost without the audio guide. Great information about the history of the Barracks and what life was like for the convicts, and later on the immigrants and asylum patients, who lived here. Recommend giving yourself about an hour to cover all three floors of the building
Grace W — Google review
Nice modern museum and free entry. There was interesting diorama displays of life during convict times, life looked tough! There were objects, murals and nicely restored buildings. There was not many written displays as the museum is mostly via audio headphones. It would be great for older kids and adults.
Alice M — Google review
There is 4.5 of 5 because the listening guide experience still has improvement space. All of the item introduction only comes from listening guide. It means that there aren’t any “words” in the museum! Initially, I wasn’t used to the listening audio introduction. After a while, I found it made me immerse in the history as if I was going back to 19th. I spent about one and a half hours to finish my watching and I was learning a lot of history about Australia. Furthermore, the building still reserved the original equipments which let me know what environment they were living. However, there was a quite embarrassing while I was moving in the building. Sometimes, the audio guide was changing frequently just because I wasn’t in the correct position and I didn’t know how to replay it manually. In addition, in my opinion, I think if there are some word information, which is describing the items history or backgrounds, is suitable for tourists who prefer to read. All in all, I think the museum is beautiful and they provide different languages of audio guide. It is a worthwhile place to visit and you don’t need to pay entrance fee.
Kumo K — Google review
Great, educational experience. Love that this is free! Really enjoyed all the information given to us and the relics on display. The audio guide was super neat and I liked that you didn’t have to press any numbers into it, it would just start at the designated area.

Hyde Park Barracks Heritage Museum. Another UNESCO site! Incredible miniature dioramas that provided context to the rich stories being told on awesome technology. IPods and headphones automatically synced to your location) and made it an immersive experience (just like entrance, the are free and available in many languages). Completely changed my perspective on the history of Australia. Cannot recommend this more highly. A trip to Sydney without devoting 90 minutes to this site would be an EPIC FAIL!
Alan B — Google review
Came here with zero expectations but left 100/100 impressed! 🤯✨ It’s free to enter and comes with an audio guide 🎧 that automatically plays based on where you are in the building. Each room is beautifully designed and the storytelling is done in a narrative style — almost like a fairy tale 📖🗣️, which makes it super engaging and never boring. You’ll really get a sense of what life was like for convicts back then 🕰️🚪 Highly recommended for tourists and anyone curious about history and human stories 🙌🌍
Tongwariss — Google review
Free to enter. Tour by audio guide which works off GPS so no need to press any buttons on the headset. At times, there were pauses as the GPS caught up with where I was but, generally, it worked well. I am not the biggest fan of audio guides but enjoyed this one. The tour and history of the building were really interesting and informative. I only visited because I was in the vicinity with time to spare but am glad I did. Friendly volunteers. Shop. Toilets.
Lyndsey — Google review
Definitely a historically significant place to visit. It is free and you can donate money to help restoration funds. Headsets are provided which are triggered at each location but go slowly as its easy to walk past a trigger point and miss the information. Headsets cleaned at the end. Well worth a visit.

The menu features everything from street-inspired small bites to hearty mains, with the authentic noodle soup being a standout on Noodle Mondays—a special treat available only on select Mondays.
Very authentic food and lovely service. Really enjoyed everything we ordered from prawn stuffed zucchini flowers, mushroom dumplings, chilli salted quid, crispy rice and prawns, delicious and tender pork cutlet and barramundi in curry. Will definitely revisit AAA+

My partner and I came here for dinner on a busy Saturday evening. We had a booking at 8:30pm, the place was busy throughout the evening until when we left at 11pm. We had the Feed Me banquet menu. There were a total of 7 delicious, mouth watering and beautifully presented Vietnamese dishes. The food was full of flavours, every dish was tasty. I was even more impressed with the service: the lady who waited our table (a Western looking lady) was extremely pleasant, kind and attentive; she cleaned our table several times between courses (something I don’t normally see even in expensive fine dining restaurants). The atmosphere was very cozy, the restaurant was beautifully lit with warm light and the deco reminds you of old Vietnamese charm. A total winner from chef Luke Nguyen!

Red Lantern is the nuclear-bomb of mind-blowing flavours. Rich, delightful, aromatic, colourful, ultra delicious, and nutritious. Yet, there are also dishes that complement with subtle flavours. Freshness all 'round. Drinks are delightful and creative. The service is ultra attentive, loving, and joyful. Any time I am near the city, I drop in. There's a welcoming vibe. Red Lantern knows about "deliciousness". Every dish will make you smile! As for the service: the team makes you feel that "you belong".
Jonar N — Google review
I just love Red Lantern and always have. The decor hasn’t changed and is still evocative of Vietnam. The menu has retained old favourites ( think chilli salt and pepper squid) but has new additions so it never gets boring. Great cocktails and a good wine list, that takes account of the flavours in the food. Staff are friendly and attentive and service is consistently good. Our whole fish was exceptional. Sometimes consistent can be a damning description but in this case it’s consistently good. Thankyou.

I recently met Patricia Nguyen at an event where she was the guest speaker. What an amazing and inspirational woman! Patricia spoke so highly of her restaurant and her husband who’s the chef, I decided to take my family for my birthday. Last night was the night. We arrived to the most welcoming waiter and he and the other waiter were so extremely attentive the whole night. We were delighted with the banquet and each dish was absolutely beautiful, so flavourful and fresh with generous servings. When we’d finished all the dishes (and we were all very full) I asked for the bill. Much to my surprise and delight, the waiters came out with a bowl of ice cream and four spoons, with a sparkler in it and sang Happy birthday to me. It would have to be the most amazing experience I’ve had in a restaurant. We were all so delighted and grateful. A must on your bucket list! You will not regret it A very big thank you for making my birthday so special <3

Experience the beauty of Sydney Harbour by taking a trip on the Manly Fast Ferry. Catch a stunning sunset behind iconic landmarks like the Harbour Bridge and Opera House as you cruise back to Circular Quay. Plan your journey using the ferry timetable to ensure you arrive 30 minutes before sunset for optimal viewing time. While at Manly Wharf, explore its attractions including restaurants, shops, cafes, and the sheltered Manly SurfnSlide beach area with water slides and a park.
The ferry service is excellent to get around Sydney. That way, you are able to see the sights from a different perspective instead of driving or using another mode of transport. It's not expensive either. I truly recommend using this service. There are also many other fast ferries that will take you to different parts of Sydney.

This ferry service is amazing. You basically get a boat cruise for transiting price. It take you to manly park which is another beautiful place and around the harbour. The experience you get just from riding is quite breath taking. 100% a recommendation if you are visiting Sydney. Probably one of the best way to see the opera house along with other water sporting events that could be happening at the same time.

I was on the 8:10am ferry this morning and just wanted to say how fantastic the captain was—especially given the rough weather conditions. I'm a regular commuter, and on today’s trip I really loved his announcements and communication with the commuters. I think the captain may have been American or Canadian. Huge thanks to the whole crew for showing up and making the commute lovely despite the weather. 🌟

Must do for tourists. Great views of the bridge and opera house. Love that the tables have plugs for charging 🙌🏼 definitely been a life saver at times. I also enjoy that they have a bar that serves beer. It’s a short trip but if you’re with friends heading out it’s a nice touch. As someone who regularly uses Sydney trains and buses, I find the ferries to be incredibly expensive. Don’t know how people take it every day 😅

Customs House, a stunning Victorian Georgian building, was established in 1845 and served as a crucial checkpoint for arrivals in Sydney. It played a significant role in managing imports and exports, immigration control, and preventing illegal activities until 1990. Today, it stands as a heritage-listed museum space, visitor attraction, commercial building, and performance venue at Circular Quay. Its prime location makes it one of the most popular attractions in Sydney's central business district.
Customs House is the kind of place that surprises you even if you have walked past it a hundred times on the way to Circular Quay. The sandstone façade looks suitably grand from outside, but step through the doors and the foyer opens into a bright atrium with a glass floor that reveals a detailed scale model of Sydney. You can spend ten minutes just tracing familiar streets with your eyes while ferries slide past outside the big windows. It feels like a small snapshot of the city within the city, and it instantly sets a curious mood for the rest of the visit. The building is beautifully kept, with contemporary touches layered over its 19th century bones. The City of Sydney Library lives here, which means quiet corners, free Wi Fi, newspapers, and art books you can leaf through between strolls. Temporary exhibitions and installations pop up around the ground level, so there is often something new to see without paying a cent. If you want to make an occasion of it, the rooftop restaurant serves up harbour views that are hard to beat for a celebratory lunch or a slow drink at sunset. Even a quick coffee at one of the street level spots feels elevated simply because of the setting and the constant theatre of the Quay outside. Practicalities are easy. Entrances face both the Quay and Macquarie Place, lifts run to all floors, and staff at the information desk are relaxed and helpful. The atrium is a cool refuge on hot days and a dry shortcut when the weather turns. I like to pair a visit with a walk along the foreshore to the Opera House, then circle back through The Rocks. Customs House works as a destination and as a moment of calm in the middle of Sydney’s busiest postcard.

Amazing building with amazing staffs. I’ve been here almost every weekend, visiting Circular Quay and enjoying leisure activities. This place welcomes tourists from all backgrounds and cultures, and I wondered if there could be a quiet room for visitors to pause for a short prayer. I asked around but couldn’t find one. My suggestion is to provide a small space for this purpose. Thank you.

Customs House is not only a beautiful heritage building but also a wonderful starting point for exploring Sydney. The highlight of my visit was the reception staff, who were extremely friendly and welcoming. She went out of her way to offer assistance, providing information with warmth and professionalism. Her approach felt truly ambassadorial, representing Sydney’s tourism with pride and genuine care. It left me with a very positive impression—not just of Customs House itself, but of the city as a whole. A perfect example of how great hospitality can elevate the visitor experience.

“Customs House in Sydney is a historical building located in Circular Quay, now a vibrant public space and visitor information center. The building has a rich history, originally serving as a customs house where import duties were collected. It became the head office for customs operations in New South Wales in 1887 and continued in that role until 1990. Now, Customs House is a multi-faceted public space, showcasing its architectural heritage while also offering modern amenities and attractions. It's the only accredited visitor information center in the Sydney CBD, providing maps, brochures, and assistance to tourists. The foyer features a large-scale model of Sydney's city center, viewed through a glass floor. Customs House includes an atrium, a library, exhibition spaces, and dining options. The building hosts various events and exhibitions, exploring current conversations, living histories, and emerging trends.” Online source/s “Significant Heritage Site Customs House was built on the site where the local Eora people watched the First Fleet land and raise the British flag in1788. The landing led to the first significant interaction between Aborigines and Europeans, which had a dramatic effect on the traditional indigenous owners of the land. In recognition of this, the Aboriginal flag is now permanently flown at Customs House. Master of Trade Customs House served as the control centre for all customs activities in New South Wales for 145 years. With Port Jackson, the first focal point for maritime trade, it played a powerful role in shaping the economic and social life of the new colony, regulating shipping and raising revenue from tariffs. End of an Era Customs control continued to operate from Customs House for the greater part of the 20th century. Over time, however, Sydney airport and Botany Bay emerged as alternative points of entry for goods and people. By 1990, the customs service needed more space and was moved to new premises. In 1993, the Federal Government leased Customs House to the City of Sydney for a period of 60 years.” “卐 THE SYMBOLS IN THE TERRAZZO FLOOR The swastika symbols decorating this terrazzo floor were selected by the architect George Oakeshott during a reconstruction of Customs House in 1915-17. This stylised decoration was in keeping with the architecture of the building and can be seen in other financial and retail buildings of this era. For many cultures the swastika is a symbol of peace and prosperity. It has appeared in cultures across Asia and Europe, including ancient Greece and modern India. The clockwise swastika was adopted by the Nazi Party in 1920 and came to represent the abhorrent racial persecution and genocide of the Jewish people and other minority groups during World War 2. The swastika symbols in this floor are counter-clockwise. During World War 2 the Customs Service covered the floor. The elaborate floor was revealed once more to the public when the building was refurbished in the 1990s.” Text from Signboards in Customs House

Such a beautiful historic building with a lot of character and history behind it. The staff here are always welcoming and helpful, and it’s well looked after inside and out. Customs House is one of Sydney’s most elegant heritage buildings, beautifully located at Circular Quay. With its grand architecture and vibrant atmosphere, it’s more than just a historic site — inside you’ll find a modern library, exhibition spaces, and a huge glass floor showcasing a detailed scale model of Sydney’s city center. The building is free to enter, making it a perfect stop to relax, read, or simply explore while waiting for your ferry or strolling around the harbour. A truly beautiful and peaceful place to explore! The views over the bay are stunning, and the coastal walk is easy and enjoyable for all fitness levels. The historic Captain Cook’s landing site adds a meaningful touch, making it both a scenic and culturally significant stop. However, a couple of things to keep in mind: there are limited bathroom facilities and not many parking spots close to the main attractions. I’d recommend arriving early, especially on weekends, to avoid a long walk from your car.

Kamay Botany Bay National Park is located at la perouse. It a large park and i read its one of the best walking tracks/trails in a number of sites about walking trails. I have admitt my friend and I were confused and couldn't work out were any thing was ,we got tired hungry and needed to use the restrooms 🚻 so we gave up. We saw the Westpac life savers rescue helicopter 🚁 hanger. We also saw some kind of old lookout thing next to some other concrete objects!!! We couldn't see the anything but bushland, so i don't know if in fact this was a lookout or the bushland grow blocking out the views 🤔 we took one track the one next to the Westpac life savers helicopter 🚁 hanger which lead to the cliff edge. There was strong winds and we didn't feel safe getting to close. We couldn't see much. A friend told me the day before that he saw whales and dolphins 🐬. We ended up checking out congwong beach ⛱️ which is part of kamay Botany Bay National Park. Beautiful little beach. This park is not far from Bare Island and Frenchmans beach. Just above congwong beach is la perouse snake 🐍 show also known as snake man of la perouse. I remember coming and watching the snake 🐍 as a young child with my family. I think the snake man does his show Sunday's 1.40pm and public holidays. Check la perouse snake show site for when it is on

Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve is a picturesque area covering about 20 hectares from the southern end of Manly Beach to the northern end of Shelly Beach Headland. It's a great spot for snorkeling and scuba diving due to its protection from wind and surge, making it unnecessary to worry about tide times. The reserve is known for attracting schools of small fish and gropers, offering visitors an opportunity to observe marine life.
the walk from Manly Beach to Shelly Beach is a must when you visit Manly. We visited in winter but were lucky to have bright sunshine despite the low temperature, There are many great views along the path but we were particularly taken by the Sea Nymph Sculptures at the Fairy Bower Pool (by Helen Leete).
Bernard S — Google review
Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve feels like an easy slice of underwater adventure tucked beside Manly. Follow the coastal path toward Shelly and the water turns that clear, glassy blue that makes you want to grab a mask straight away. It is a sheltered pocket most days, so beginners and kids can float over ribbons of kelp while more confident swimmers venture closer to the mouth for deeper reef. Even from the rocks you can spot flashes of silver and the occasional blue groper drifting through like a local on patrol. On calm mornings the visibility is excellent and the whole bay hums quietly with life. Snorkelling is the headline act. Pick up the underwater nature trail from the beach and follow the seabed markers past boulders and weed beds where sweep, mado and old wives school in the current. Rays sometimes ghost across the sand and tiny cuttlefish hang like punctuation between the kelp fronds. The reserve is strictly look but do not touch, which keeps things thriving, and it pays to float rather than kick hard so you do not stir the bottom. Easiest entries are from the sand at Shelly or the pebbly corner near the boats, and fins help if there is a bit of surge at the entrance. Early is best for calm water and fewer people, and a light wetsuit stretches the season comfortably into the cooler months. Good to know before you go. There are no lifeguards stationed in the middle of the bay, so stick to your limits and keep an eye on wind and swell. Facilities sit back at Shelly and Manly for bathrooms and coffee, and street parking fills quickly on sunny days. Rock shoes save tender feet on the ledges, a dry layer helps when the breeze kicks up, and packing out everything you bring keeps this spot as pristine as it looks. Bring a mask, slow your breathing, and let the reserve do the rest.

The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, also known as The Con, is a renowned music school located in Sydney, Australia. Situated near the Royal Botanic Gardens, it is recognized for its heritage and prestige as one of the oldest music schools in the country. As part of the University of Sydney, it includes the Conservatorium Open Academy and the Conservatorium High School.
The first Conservatorium in the Southern Hemisphere! The newer addition has done a fantastic job of sharing Sydney's history, including an old cistern, drain, pottery pieces and writeup about the Gadigal people. Lovely to come in and have a poke around even if you're not going to a performance.

Attended the Australian Indian Orchestra's recital of AR Rahman classics. It was a fantastic performance and the venue was great. Unfortunately there was an in considerate parent who brought their toddler to the recital, who repeatedly disturbed the show. The venue should impose stricter rules around bring kids under a certain age.

One of the stateliest and most gorgeous buildings in Sydney, originally built as stables. Naturally the horses deserved the best. Now housing a school for the very best of Sydney’s musicians, it has a concert hall with acoustics akin to the nearby Opera House, a library, 2 small concert rooms for student recitals which are usually free to the public, and cafeterias during school hours.

This quite box was installed about 6 years ago and has NEVER been used. What a waste of tax-payer $zzz. The state of Con toilets near student kitchen. The seat has been broken for at least a year.

🧶Rating: 5/5 💎The Layout: The library is on the second floor, but when you walk into the building you’ll be on the third. When you walk in and look to the left you’ll see a counter for asking questions, and if you continue going straight you’ll notice a little section for games and knitting. After passing the knitting and games section you’ll see a few shelves and a lot of tables to sit at. Some tables are to the right edge of the library and they’re a bit more isolated. The tables and chairs are kind of sorted out into mini cubicles and some of them have a charger and some don’t. There’s a downstairs and they have a good amount of seats and seats with cushions. There’s also more of a book section downstairs than there is upstairs. 🎲My experience: I was randomly looking up libraries near me on google maps and this place popped up, and I was looking for reviews to see if it was good to go to or not and I only saw 3 reviews and they barely had any pictures so I thought that I could do a review. While I was taking pictures and videos, I came across a knitting section where they literally had everything you needed for knitting and I immediately stopped taking pictures and sat down and started knitting lol but before that, when I first saw the knitting section, I was quite surprised and in awe, because no other libraries that I’ve been to before had a knitting section. I came at about 2pm-3pm until about 7pm mainly because it was raining, but also because it was very quiet and I had things to do. When I walked into the library there were about 11 people; most people were using their computers and 2 other people were playing in the games section. I did think that this library may not be exactly the best reading library, but a good one to study or work on your computer at. 📐Likes: I thought the building’s shape was very cool; it looked very similar to a castle. I liked how there weren’t that many people and due to that it was quite peaceful. One interesting thing, and a thing that I liked too, was that the next morning I went early to the library, and the librarian there was walking up to where I was sitting, and she had a platter of bananas, apples, and oranges.

Today, our music elective class from ILSC had the honor of being guided through the Conservatorium of Music by an exceptional young student named Jasmine Golden. Jasmine is incredibly warm and approachable and has such an obvious passion for music and the school, displayed in her impressive knowledge and extra events she assists with. We truly valued her guidance and many of the students found the experience very inspiring. I’d like to sincerely thank the Conservatorium for agreeing to this opportunity at such short notice. Everyone who I communicated with was a pleasure to deal with.

Free or gold-coin donation lunch-time concerts of excellent quality from young musicians before they become musical professionals - sometimes $10 evening concerts - classical, early music or jazz - Google it and enjoy! [16 April 2025 update] I totally loved today’s lunchtime concert with a big band jazz Orchestra 18 piece fantastic playing brilliant solos totally worth what I paid - I think a five dollar donation for a couple we put in. You don’t actually need to … totally love it - brilliant stuff for effectively free. Mask wearing still required as of 19/5/22. Wed-Thur lunchbreak concert audiences tends to comprise many old folks perhaps bussed in from aged care homes - they usually don't disturb I've only walked out of one lunchtime concert of ‘contemporary music’ - a 4 piece rock and roll band with amps and drum kit - okay 2 of each sex but the sound was Awful! Way too loud (100db can damage hearing) in a voice-suitable echo chamber, all mid range moaning, just muddy sound, and lazy ‘I don’t really care’ singing - even instrumental balance was bad - as a musician it offended me on many levels. They were no Sex Pistols. We walked out after the second tune - the third sounded more punchy and syncopated - but too late for us - we were already out the door. So maybe every fifth concert I might not enjoy most of it - last time was 3 weird experimental pieces that didn't float my boat - and one string quartet that was a balm to my nerves - either way the price is right and we like to come to this on a nice free day and lunch afterwards at Malay Chinese if it's not too busy.

Whale watching tour agency
Go Whale Watching Sydney offers an incredible opportunity to witness the annual migration of humpback whales from Antarctica to the warmer waters of Sydney between May and November. The whale watching boat tour provides a smooth and enjoyable experience with spacious seating, good facilities, friendly and knowledgeable crew offering commentary, and answering questions. Visitors have been lucky to witness active whales showcasing full body breaches, blowholes, and fins.
We had an amazing experience whale watching today! The crew was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled—they spotted the whales right on time and guided us to the perfect viewing spots. We were also lucky with the weather: calm seas and sunshine made the trip even more enjoyable. We got to see two whales splashing around, seemingly cleaning themselves—it was such a beautiful and memorable sight. A truly wonderful day out on the water!
Ivy M — Google review
Over the past twenty years I have visited Australia many times and have been out with many of the whale watching companies. This is by far the best boat and the best crew of them all. The skipper and crew of Go Whale Watching Sydney care deeply about the whales and the passengers. They will do their best to get you to the most active whales, but will always do so in a way that does not stress these beautiful, intelligent and amazing creatures. Having been out with them many times, I can attest to the sheer enthusiasm of the crew on every trip. Their love of whales is evident. You will get a running commentary which is informative and educational about the whales and their environment. Of course whales are wild animals and there are no guarantees that you will see them jump, therefore I thoroughly recommend going out more than once as every trip is different and you will see a range of different behaviours. I also recommend taking sea sick tablets as you will be out on the ocean! The crew will take good care of you and you will get to see these amazing animals as they pass Sydney. It is a real privilege to see these animals and Go Whale Watching Sydney will do their best to make sure you get the best view of the best, most active whales.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! My fiance and I had an incredible time with Go Whale Watching this afternoon. The crew are so kind and are extremely passionate about their work and providing the best possible experience for their guests. They are so respectful of the whales and their space. The crew provided a very educational experience as well and are so dedicated to preserving the environment for the whales. The first pod we found ended up getting chased a little bit by another boat and I love that our crew backed off and headed out further to keep searching instead of stressing out the whales. We ended up finding a large pod of six that we got to spend a very long amount of time with. Remember that these are wild animals and they're not here to entertain us. They will do what they want to do. We are so lucky to share this planet with these gorgeous whales. Appreciate every moment they allow us to have with them. Thank you Go Whale Watching for the most amazing afternoon!
Bek R — Google review
This was my second time going with this amazing team who excel at their craft. Look no further than these guys if you plan to go whale watching. The boat that they have gives higher chances of seeing the whales on either sides which is crucial(easier accessibility).

We booked private tour with Go whale watching sydney and to our joy we picked the right tour operater. They were highly skilled in finding whales, and also deeply respectful towards them. This was, to us, most important, as we are huge animal lovers. They devoted their time and energy to make our experience memorable for a life time. They explained whale's behaviour and also gave us an insight into sydney history as well. To our surprise, they also took us to a place where we saw seals! I would happily recommend the tour operater to everyone. Highly proffesional!

A 5 star show out there! It was such a delightful experience with Go Whale Watching. The majestic whales put out a real good show out there! What a visual splendour. I particularly liked the commentary and real time guidance by the crew to prepare and get ourselves poised for the upcoming breath taking moment. Not to forget the very important message by the Captain that we can still do a lot more to preserve and protect the environment of marine community which is so so crucial. Don't miss out on the trip with Go Whale watching. Ranks up there as one of the very best experiences I had in Australia.
Edwin W — Google review
This was an incredible experience! The crew Simon and Willow were fantastic, really friendly and helpful throughout. We were lucky enough to see several humpbacks on our trip along with multiple breaches! It was truly memorable and I would 100% go back again!

🌊 This was my first ever whale watching experience, and it couldn’t have been more amazing! As we set off, the captain pointed out sights like warships, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the Opera House, which added a nice touch of local history and scenery to the journey. The crew on board were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were extremely lucky today — we got to see whales up close multiple times! The 3-hour tour was deeply satisfying 💜 If you have family or friends visiting Sydney and they’re keen to see whales, Go Whale Watching is a fantastic choice 😉

I am extremely satisfied with the service Joseph, the driving instructor, has provided. I passed my P1 drivers test in one go after taking lessons with Joseph. Not only did he show attentiveness and professionalism at our lessons, he provided a calm environment that helped build my driving confidence. Before my P1 test, Joseph had taken me along the test routes and pointed out common mistakes drivers make along the routes; this was an extremely positive experience as that helped with the navigation and nerves during the actual P1 test. Overall, I would definitely recommend his driving service. Thank you!

The Museum Train Station in Sydney is a captivating blend of history and architecture that transports visitors back in time. As you stroll through its arched corridors adorned with tiled walls, you can almost feel the echoes of those who have passed through before. This station isn't just a transit point; it's an experience steeped in heritage, reminiscent of a bygone era. The charm of its original features, including vintage restrooms and period advertisements, adds to its allure.
Great historical station with period ads on the walls , also old photographs Restored and original.

I like to get off the train here. I imagine it is 100 years ago and I'm arriving for something significant. Walking though the arched corridors with their tiled walls is a poetic act. I try to imagine some of the people who've walked before me and who will indeed follow. Sometimes I pause to take that all in. And then walk on with mindful and deliberate steps. This is more than a train station. It is an experience, a trip through time and an artistic trigger. Sydney's own Tardis. How will you treat it Dr?
Pete C — Google review
The Museum Train Station in Sydney has such a unique, old-world charm. Its architecture and design really give it that ancient, heritage feel—almost like stepping back in time compared to the modern stations around the city. It’s one of those places where the history is still very much alive.
Min M — Google review
This station is pretty much a museum itself; like Louvre in Paris it mimics its namesake landmark. The advertisements are originals, the style is perfect mid-20th century. I feel the atmosphere without even getting off the train… like falling into the past.
Jonathan S — Google review
The ideal place to get to either the Domestic or international airport should you be staying in Sydney Central hotels etc. Train takes 15 minutes and the Museum station is very well sign posted, information of all trains is plentiful. Give it a go, it's far better than a taxi or uber.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Sydney, CHI by Lotus is a delightful dining destination that captures the essence of casual elegance. This charming eatery boasts an inviting atmosphere adorned with golden Maneki Nekos and colorful Chinese lanterns, creating a warm and welcoming vibe. With ample indoor and outdoor seating options, including semi-private areas for those seeking a more intimate experience, it’s perfect for any occasion.
Had a wonderful feast here on New Years Day, dishes were tasty - only the wok fried king prawns was a bit too sweet for my liking but I rate the rest. Both dessert were delicious, definitely recommend the yuzu cheesecake 🍰 And how cute is that wall of the waving Lucky Cats!🐱
C S — Google review
The food here was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. Staff were friendly and the interior design was very interesting with all the lucky cats waving at you. There are different seating options available, private dining booths for groups and toilet facilities at the back. Had the banquet menu and every dish was tasty. The dumplings and Wagyu meat skewers were bomb.
Jay T — Google review
It was our first time at Chi. We picked this place because our experiences at Lotus group restaurants so far were always consistently good at Barangaroo, Dumpling bar at Walsh bay as well as now closed Madam Shanghai. All dishes were delicious, including the Angus beef skewers and King brown mushrooms spring rolls not pictured here, as everyone were too keen to try them. We loved the ambiance and overall experience Chi does provide is as good as other establishments by Lotus group. Definitely will be back
Nat B — Google review
I am a huge fan of Lotus so I was super keen in going across the road to try Chi by Lotus.. the “little sister” restaurant with a much more vibrant and casual vibe. The interior was just gorgeous! It was filled with golden Maneki Nekos (lucky cats) and Chinese lanterns. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, including a semi private space separated by curtains. We were sold on their $69 banquet menu. We started off with some ‘Freshly shucked Sydney rock oysters with ginger & finger lime’ which were delicious. (I could have had another 10 to myself.) We then had the ‘Charred and fresh cucumber with toasted sesame & aged vinegar salad’ which was such a delight to eat as it was a great balance of fresh and warm flavours. You can never go wrong with dumplings and of course, the ‘Jade prawn’ and ‘Mixed vegetable & mushroom dumplings’ were a hit! The colour of the prawn dumplings were gorgeous. The ‘Wagyu beef skewer with sweet soy & crushed black pepper’ was one of my favourites. When it came out, I knew it was going to be good. First bite in and the dancing came out. It was tender, juicy and so flavourful. I needed more! Now, the ‘Duck breast with Davidson’s plum caramel & charred lettuce’. The skin on the duck was crispy, the meat inside was cooked to perfection and it paired very well with the sauce. I didn’t even need that much sauce because of how perfect the duck was. Final dishes of the night included the ‘Steamed fish of the day’, ‘Salt & pepper calamari with Chi hot sauce’, ‘Wok fried Choy Sum with crispy eschalot and steamed rice’ and the dessert, ‘Yuzu cheesecake with pomelo, blood orange sorbet & salted plum meringue.’ I wasn’t a big fan of the steamed fish. I felt like it lacked flavour, however the cabbage at the bottom of the dish was delicious! The calamari was just divine with the sauce. It was crispy but not overly oily. The sauce definitely had a kick to it and in a good way! Can’t go wrong with Asian greens and steamed rice. They had the perfect bite and a delicious flavour. The dessert was heaven. We tried every element alone and then mixed it all together. I think the salted plum meringue was my favourite element of the dish. It was so refreshing and definitely the perfect way to end a banquet. I can’t wait to visit this place again and try their $99 banquet menu!
Jessica R — Google review
Really yummy food but the food portions were quite small for the price. Appreciated the spin and innovation in making Asian fusion and there were some deliciously funky combos (like kimchi sui mai) The staff was super nice though and offered great suggestions. Would recommend ordering more dishes to ensure that you are truly full.

CHI by Lotus is a fun brightly and tastefully decorated open space restaurant. There are seating options with an open kitchen. We shared the banquet for two and were more than satisfied with the food quality, portions, and friendly professional service. Bangaroo is a lovely spot for an evening stroll along the southern end of Sydney harbour.

Went for a late dinner after drinks on Friday night. Good atmosphere and service, food was good but I was expecting them served piping hot coming freshly cooked out of an Asian kitchen but they weren't. Overall Ok.
E T — Google review
Must say it was an unexpected experience. Nested in quieter part of Barangaroo, I was spoiled with a degustation menu that included fried salt bush, scallop, white and red meat, topped with yuzu cheesecake. My favourite being the wagyu steak with butter and purèe, the place does the job in bringing Chinese fusion nicely.

Simply amazing! The staff was great and the whole experience was unforgettable. Great views from our tent, the food was good (even as non meat eaters), the entertainment and different events was also great. I recommend arriving slightly earlier than they ask. We arrived 30 mins before and got the chance to meet some zoo keepers who were holding snakes and lizards which was very cute! I do recommend booking for a night where it's adult only, made the experience much more enjoyable not having loads of young kids around.

Please note: for anyone like me who didn’t have a place to lock my carry on and had to bring it with me - Taronga Zoo does NOT have lockers either. You’ll have to bring your bags around as you explore. Spent 4 hours here, but definitely could have spent a lot longer if I didn’t need to catch a flight! Best zoo I’ve been to. There’s so much to see and explore! Plus if you take a ferry, you get a nice view of the opera house and bridge.

The entire program was just incredibly amazing!! Crew of Roar and Snore was so nice, professional, and passionate. Learned a lot about animals and how conservation works for them. Also, the view from campsite was absolutely stunning! Loved the experience!! Highly recommended for all my animal people, all the money goes directly to the conservation work they work on at the zoo. Shout out to all the staff and keepers at the zoo, you made my trip❤️❤️

Plus a morning feeding of the giraffes and more behind the scenes tours before getting to spend the rest of the day in the zoo doing your own thing. We were lucky enough to experience a performance by jazz musician James Morrison on the grounds as part of the Twilight at Toronga Festival while having dinner. Wild Ropes offers an exhilarating experience where visitors can climb and swing above the Australian Walkabout enclosure for 45-120 minutes. The course is independent of the zoo, so there's no need to pay zoo entry to enjoy it. With various courses for both adults and kids, participants can expect a mix of challenge and fun in safe conditions. Kids will find the well-designed course challenging at first but will quickly start experimenting and enjoying themselves.
Wild Ropes is a great rope climbing course nestled in and above the Taronga Zoo. With up to 4 different courses of both high and low it has something for everyone. Great for kids, adults and families. The views are spectacular across Sydney and looking into some of the animal enclosures as well. Great value and definitely worth a go. Lots of fun with great guides and variety for all

I visited with my 14 year old daughter on a Saturday. We each completed two courses. A starter course and a higher one each. For the second one my daughter completed the hardest one, I did the second hardest one. I have a fear of heights that I’m working on and the staff were really helpful about this. A lovely staff member gave me some tips and encouragement during the course when I may have looked unsure. She helped a lot and I felt really good about completing one of the high courses! Also absolutely beautiful views out over Sydney harbour while doing the course. That was another excellent distraction from worrying about the height. The safety equipment/ harnesses etc all looked very well maintained and secure, too. Would recommend, beautiful location, good fun, and helpful staff.

What a wonderful thrilling experience with a view! The staff are so professional and focused on safety. They might have prepared thousands of people but they took their time and completed the preparation with clear instructions. They spoke to everyone at their level, from the youngest to the oldest. I watched Bailey and he was so focused on the person he was attending to. He is an asset to the operation. All the staff are amazing! Highly recommended to visit before or after the Zoo or for a special event!

Wild Ropes is such a blast! The staff bring great energy, the courses are exciting without being overwhelming, and the location honestly couldn’t be better — climbing among the treetops with Sydney Harbour right there. Dylan, the manager on the day, was incredible — super friendly, helpful, and made sure everything went smoothly. It’s the kind of activity that makes you laugh, sweat, and feel proud at the end. Perfect for a weekend adventure with friends or a unique way to spend the day at the Zoo.

She was a great guide and was just an amazing person she will be the reason I keep coming back the staff at the front desk were also so sweet I didn’t get his name but he was very cheerful and they both made the experience so amazing. Thank you so much to these staff members
Jade F — Google review
The business is independent of the zoo, and the entry is outside of it, so whilst the course itself hovers high over the zoo and the views are spectacular, you don't actually have to pay Zoo entry to enjoy the Wild Ropes experience. There are several courses of varying difficulty, and the time it takes to complete each course depends greatly on your agility and fitness. We did both high and low Ropes courses during school holidays, and with a short break between courses, we were on-site for 2 hours. Spectators are most welcome, but there are only a few spots with which to view participants as they navigate the course, and there are only 2 bench seats. Bathrooms are about 100m away at the zoo's entrance. Hopefully, at a future date, more "spectator friendly" areas and course vantage points will be added. It was definitely a worthwhile experience. NB. The carpark offers 90 minutes of free parking, which is probably sufficient time to get through the course; after which parking is $22 for the day.

Cars were picked up in Sydney on agreed date, 1st August, for transport to Tasmania. I was kept informed every step of the way. They were due late August - early September. They arrived on 15th August in perfect condition. The truck driver was friendly and cheerful. I was very impressed with the level of service and the staff employed to provide it. I would highly recommend ‘Expert Car Transport’ for quality car transport.

This has honestly been one of the smoothest, most reassuring experiences I’ve ever had with any transport service. Right from the start, Harry and the team were flexible and even offered me a discount, which was a great help and much appreciated. From there, everything continued to be outstanding, always clear, transparent, and genuinely caring. I received regular, friendly updates and quick answers to all my questions, even the small details were never too much trouble. The communication was top-notch, and they truly went the extra mile to keep things stress-free. My car and belongings were handled with real care, and any potential issues such as a small unexpected charge were sorted out quickly and honestly with no surprises or hidden fees. I always felt looked after and in the loop. If you’re looking for a team that genuinely values their customers and delivers on everything they promise, I highly recommend them. Thank you so much for making what could’ve been a stressful move so easy and positive. Absolutely flawless, thank you!

Had such a great experience with my car delivery. Harry had amazing communication the whole way through and genuinely did everything he could to get me the best outcome. My car even arrived earlier than expected, which was such a bonus. Couldn’t recommend them more – super reliable and easy to deal with from start to finish.

Just received my care a few days ahead of the scheduled date and couldn’t be happier. Harry and the team lived up to their name being experts at transporting vehicles. Their communication before and during transit was exceptional and their price was very affordable. Car arrived at my property in an enclosed trailer which was an unexpected surprise with no signs of damage whatsoever. Would recommend using these guys for anyone shipping a vehicle in Australia. Shark Dive Xtreme at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium offers a thrilling experience of diving with Grey Nurse Sharks, allowing participants to conquer their fears and come face to face with these iconic ocean creatures. The activity is not only an opportunity for adventure but also a chance to celebrate with drinks and delicious grazing platters. Participants have praised the exceptional care and knowledge of the guides, making it a must-do for thrill-seekers and shark enthusiasts alike.
Had a wonderful time with the shark dive, the instructors were very friendly and helpful, and the dive was great. The sharks were a delight to see and using the scuba equipment itself for the first time was a pleasure unto itself. The only issue was how fast time flies underwater, but at the end of the day that’s a sign your having great fun.
Archer G — Google review
Such an awesome experience, highly recommend!! Laurie and Ally were amazing instructors, they were extremely patient and informative and really took the time to make sure we were safe and comfortable before and during the dive. As a first time diver I was nervous but we were so well instructed and taken care of. The sharks were incredible to wittness, they came so close you could look them in the eye. It was amazing. If you have the opportunity definitely book yourself in!
Sam F — Google review
A Special Occasion Let Down by Disappointing Extras My partner and I spent months saving for the Shark Dive Xtreme at SEA LIFE Sydney. This wasn’t a casual outing—it was a carefully planned anniversary experience. We spent close to $1000, including $200 for the photography/videography package, to make it truly memorable. While the core dive was fantastic, the media package and lack of personal touches left us disappointed—especially given how much this experience meant to us. ✅ The Positives: The pre-dive briefing was friendly and informative, covering safety, diving basics, and facts about the marine life. During the dive, the instructors were professional, ensuring safety and pointing out different shark species. Being underwater with these creatures was unforgettable. ❌ Where It Fell Short: 1) The Media Package ($200) This was the biggest letdown—especially for a special occasion. There was no effort to capture us together until my partner had to firmly request a couple photo as we were being asked to exit. Without that, we’d have no decent shot marking our anniversary. The footage felt rushed, repetitive, and poorly framed—despite only 3 participants (2 experienced divers). No guidance on posing, no communication about filming, and no attention to details like removing hoods for better photos. The final content looked nothing like SEA LIFE’s polished promotional images. For $200, it felt like a tick-the-box task, not a service designed to capture meaningful memories. For context, I’ve attached a short video example—just as I looked up and engaged with the shark, the videographer held the shot for barely two seconds before panning away to film a nearby Wobbegong shark. Instead of capturing what could’ve been a great moment, the focus quickly shifted away. It’s a small example, but it reflects how little attention was placed on the guests in a package meant to capture our experience. With personal cameras prohibited, we expected better care. Sadly, the poor media quality overshadowed what should have been a highlight. 2) A Missed Opportunity for a Thoughtful Gesture Before the dive, instructors showed us shark teeth they’d found that morning. As we were part of the first session (with up to three daily), it was clear this wasn’t uncommon. My partner was excited by the idea of finding one, and when we asked if guests could keep any, they said yes. We weren’t expecting a keepsake and were content without one—until we saw how disappointing the media package was. Only then did we reflect that offering one of the three teeth found that morning could’ve softened the experience and made it feel more personal. For staff, these moments are routine. For us, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience we’d saved for. Small gestures like that can make a huge difference when other areas fall short. It’s not about expecting extras—it’s about recognising simple ways to turn a transactional experience into a memorable one. Final Thoughts & Suggestion: • The dive itself was fantastic—safe, exciting, and well-run. • The media package lacked care and didn’t match the premium price. • The experience felt procedural, missing opportunities to make guests feel valued—especially when celebrating something special. Suggestion for SEA LIFE Sydney: You deliver a great core experience, but focusing more on guest care—whether through consistent, thoughtful photography or small gestures—would elevate this significantly. When guests mention a special occasion, a little extra attention leaves a lasting impression. For future guests: The dive is worth it for the thrill, but be cautious about paying extra for photos/videos—unless improvements are made.

Had the pleasure of doing a shark dive last weekend and it was the most scary but exciting experience of all time’s. A big thank you to the amazing all female divers during my experience, which where so patient and caring with me as I was getting ready to change my mind about diving midway then the ladies assured me that I was save and they where going to stay with me during the hall process and I could even hold their hands which was so kind and made me feel so safe that I went through with it. I’m so glad I did because it was an amazing experience and I’m glad I didn’t let my fear get the better of me but that’s all thanks to the phenomenal diverse like Ayla, Amber, Nicky, Lourie and their lovely companion Billie the dog! Who was a legend😊 thank you so much ladies i am forever grateful for your guises and kindness during the dive. 10/10 all around. If you haven’t done this dive before you must try it at least once because the diverse are not only patient, knowledgeable on marine life, kind, comedic and understanding. 🙏🏾

The farm offers a therapeutic environment where visitors can cuddle baby animals and spend time with all the animals. It is recommended for nature lovers and those seeking a unique day trip to enjoy the beauty of nature and connect with animals.
We had a great time at Nancy’s Freedom Farm. The kids love petting the animals and holding the baby chicks and goat. The chicken and duck eggs taste delicious! my kids even said it was yummy and ate everything.

Amazing family experience! Nancy and her husband run this place and are warm and welcoming. They care well for the animals that sustain their livelihoods and they answer children’s with earnest kindness. It’s not just picking eggs, you get to see other animals and pat them. It’s unrushed and pleasant. Highly recommend!

My kids absolutely loved it here—a fantastic outing for little ones. Nancy, who runs the place on her own, is hardworking, kind, and genuinely passionate about creating a fun, welcoming experience for families. She really went out of her way to make sure everyone felt included and enjoyed their time. You can arrive anytime between 11am and 3pm and stay for as little or as long as you like, which makes it really flexible. It’s a very relaxed and casual setup, true to real farm life. Each visit can be a little different, depending on the day and what’s happening on the farm, so it’s best to come with an open mind and a sense of adventure. Definitely wear gumboots—there’s plenty of animal poo in the paddocks! We’ll definitely be coming back again. A great experience for young kids.

I can confidently say that this is the best free range farm in all of Sydney! Nancy is such a sweet and kind person, and has amazing hospitality. She informed us on the quality of the eggs, the grains she feeds to the chooks, and even let us pick some fresh eggs ourselves. Upon leaving, she gave us some more eggs as a gift which was such a sweet gesture. You can truly taste the quality of the eggs from this farm, and I cannot recommend a visit to Nancy’s freedom farm more!! My family and I will definitely be returning!!!

Chinese restaurant
Dainty Dumpling House is a popular spot known for its delicious and consistent food. The menu offers a variety of dumplings and fried rice, all of which are flavorful and satisfying. However, the wait time can be long, especially for dishes that require extra preparation. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere typical of Chinese eateries, but some customers have noted issues with customer service and cleanliness.
We have been here a few times. Food is good and very tasty. We've tried a variety of dumplings and fried rice. The taste and portion consistency are there each time. Depending on what we've ordered, the wait time can be lengthy, especially for the pan-fried dim sum/buns (requires steaming then pan-frying). The atmosphere is your typical fast paced Chinese restaurant - definitely not fine dining. The let-downs were abrupt customer service and cleanliness. The waitstaff weren't friendly, although they do get the job done in a no-nonsense way. We've experienced streak marks on tables and some minor oil/food splatter when seated at a 'cleaned' table. The rating is given as we appreciated the tasty food and the typical Chinese eatery experience - it's as if we're dining in Hong Kong. The price without the airfares.
Mickey O — Google review
Beef brisket noodle soup lacked flavour, fried rice and crispy chicken were ok but nothing extraordinary. Chicken was expensive for the amount that we got (around $20 for half a very small chicken). Service was fast considering crowds.
Heng W — Google review
Arrived Sunday 1.40pm. Ordered "Dim Sum in the Cage" (combo of steamed and deep-fried dumplings - NOT hand-made ) for a hefty $31.50. Menu clearly states this dish takes 15 MINUTES to prepare. So we waited... and waited... and waited some more. Steamed dumplings finally arrived at 2.10pm, and were tasty. By 2.25pm - some 40 MINUTES after ordering, the deep-fried stuff STILL hadn't arrived, so we decided to leave. We approached the cashier and explained the situation, and offered $15 (being roughly half the cost for half the food received). To our amazement and disgust, she wanted to charge us $21.50, as what we ate now amounted to the Mixed Dumpling Platter!! To add insult to injury, not only was there absolutely no apology or contrition, she even insisted on charging us for our lukewarm tea! They feel they have a monopoly on what they offer, so have a "there's plenty more of you dumb customers" mentality with their service. I am still fuming about the way we were treated! NEVER AGAIN! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, PEOPLE! :(
S D — Google review
I'm not sure if they changed their boss or the chef, the food taste unbelievably bad. I ordered Gongbao chicken fried noodle, the chef must pour too much sugar in it and it doesn't taste spicy at all! The noodle is thin and over cooked, I couldn't find peanut at all. I have been to this restaurant before but this time it doesn't taste right compare to last time. We ordered other food as well, none of them taste right. What is going on?
Mana L — Google review
I'D GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD!! Horrible service and expensive prices for below-average food. I ordered the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup. Not much flavour, only a few small pieces of beef and the beef wasn't soft like it's meant to be, it was chewy and they compensated by leaving big chunks of fat on which only made it worse. The entire bowl only had 3 leaves of bok choi (absolutely ridiculous), 1 of which tasted strongly of detergent! I don't even know how that happens! Also since when are there tomato wedges in Beef Brisket Noodle Soup???? Everytime I looked up at least one of the employees were playing on their phones. I don't think anyone really cares if customers leave unsatisfied. Never coming back to this restaurant I'd rather starve
Vivien C — Google review
The food is tasty and the dumplings are handmade but the prices are higher than average and the service is below average.
Luke R — Google review
The food is pretty good, but the customer service is ordinary and it's overpriced. Bring your own lasso if you want to get the wait staff's attention. This was a two star review... but our last order was wrong -- twice, and one dish didn't arrive at all.
Scott P — Google review
Waited for an hour to get our food after our order was taken by a very rude staff member. After waiting and waiting.. we did not even get our food. They apparently misplaced the order, hardly an apology, we just left... it was literally a waste of time. Do not waste your money here, worst service we have experienced in a long while. The food is overpriced also.

If you're looking for a delightful experience at Taronga Zoo, don't miss the "Seals for the Wild Presentation" powered by Red Energy. This engaging show takes place daily at 11 am and 2 pm, featuring adorable seals like Kobe, a one-year-old long-nosed fur seal pup making his debut. The presentation is not only entertaining but also educational, showcasing the remarkable intelligence of these marine mammals while highlighting the strong bond between trainers and animals.
Spectacular, funny and educational show. Seals are super smart and all respect to the trainers. You feel great connection between them and animals (actually all the trainers/keepers in the zoo were great and definately go to other "keeper talks", it's very interesting) Recommendations: Be there at least 15 mins earlier to get the best spots on not busy days. If you go there on weekdays/holidays I suggest to be there a lot earlier than 15 mins. Be aware you will be splashed in the first rows during the show (great on hot days though 😀)

Great place for fun with kids; especially when you and the kids are animal lovers. Seals on the wild is two hours show and the best ever show we saw and the trainers were amazing. The way they explained the intelligence is seals is amazing. Taronga Zoo recently got the African Savannah animals like Giraffes 🦒 Zebra 🦓 and Lion 🦁 which are breathtaking to watch. One whole days is not enough to roam the zoo so plan accordingly.

If you're venturing into regional New South Wales, "Birding Sydney and Beyond" offers an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in the avian wonders of the area. Families can enjoy tailored birding experiences, like an 8-hour adventure through the Royal National Park, where you might spot around 43 different bird species. With stunning landscapes as your backdrop, you'll learn about their calls and migratory habits while getting up close with binoculars.
my partner booked a birding tour at the royal national park for our family. We had a wonderful time, it was a really great experience and really opens a whole new world up to people new to the hobby like us. It makes you so much more aware of the different kinds of birds, and you find yourself noticing the different birdsong more and more in your everyday life. I really recommend it for anyone but especially people who live in Sydney already, as it’s a wonderful way to see your everyday surroundings through a different lens. Simon was great, and we saw 51 birds! This tour is a really enjoyable way to see what Sydney has to offer

Most memorable part of the night was finding an owlet-nightjar at Royal National Park.

We had a great time with Simon going birding around several different places in Sydney! We’re a bit new to birdwatching, and had signed up for a tour as an anniversary present, and Simon was a fantastic guide and really helped make our day special! Not only did we get to see over 50 different species of birds, some of which we’d never seen before, but we also got treated to the local specialty coffee (great for an early morning start!). It was also great to get tips from someone who was very experienced in birding about where to look for certain species like the Nankeen Night Heron, and we got to try out some fantastic Nikon binoculars and birdwatching scopes. All in all we had a fantastic time, and can’t wait to join Simon on the next tour!

His great passion and knowledge provided us with fantastic insights in the birding world, and it was a pleasure to sight over 50 different species of birds throughout the day. Coupled with magnificent scenery through the National Park, I would highly recommend this experience for both novices and experienced birders alike. Thanks Simon, we had a ball!

Had an amazing time birdwatching! The tour was well-organized, peaceful, and full of incredible sightings. Simon he was absolutely fantastic—super knowledgeable, friendly, and great at spotting birds we would’ve totally missed on our own. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does. Highly recommend this to anyone interested in nature or just looking for a relaxing outdoor experience.

We had booked an 8 hr birding experience for a custom family group of 5 including my 9 year old daughter and we had an absolute enchanting experience across the different bird rich areas of the Royal National park. Amidst the stunning landscapes and relaxing hike, we saw around 43 species of birds and got to see them close with the binoculars, know their calling patterns, flight style and migratory periods. Our favourites were the Eastern Yellow Robin, the striking blue Superb fairy wren and many more. The relaxing setting of drinks, food and discussions added to the charm and felt African safari like! Highly recommend this tour with Simon who has extensive experience with birds, tigers, lions, rhinos and more.

Simon apparently has the ability to summon birds on command. He brought us to an area where he said there would be a nankeen night heron, and there were two. We went to a field where he said we'd find a golden-headed cisticola and there one was. And along a path where he said we might see a buff-banded rail, one appeared. Incredible day birding. Highly recommend.

Park
Newington Nature Reserve covers 47 hectares and is divided into two distinct parts: a relic woodland of Sydney Turpentine-Ironbark Forest and an engineered wetland system. The reserve provides a habitat for various vegetation and wildlife species, including protected migratory birds. While not accessible to the public, visitors can enjoy walking along pathways such as the Louise Savage Pathway and River Walk Promenade to observe the sanctuary's wildlife.
This nature reserve is not accessible to the public to protect its wildlife and fragile ecosystem. What I do enjoy is the pathways around this reserve, especially the Louise Savage Pathway and River Walk Promenade, as I can appreciate the birds and wildlife that use the reserve as a sanctuary. The nature reserve is also part of the Newington Armament Depot and Nature Reserve heritage-listed site.

Nice reserve protecting some amazing saltmash and mangroves. Nice walking and cycling paths around the reserve

One of those hidden history parts of Sydney.. this is where they hid all the bombs in ww2, but today you can still see the bunkers, take a ride on a Segway or play frisbee golf

Great place to park coaches you got place to eat, rest, showers plus toilets an good place to meet other driver s I'm from marshalls bus and coach moruya nsw
Dwayne H — Google review
It is a magnificent facility with room to park 40+ buses. 3 showers also available. Unfortunately no one has cleaned toilets properly for quite some time during my visit. Kitchen and lounge for drivers but would be great if tea, coffee, milk and sugar were provided. Just a couple of scoungy mugs when i visited. It is a great facility and greatly appreciated from an interstate bus driver. If someone can be bothered or paid to service (incuding cleaning the toilets) and tea coffee, milk sugar teaspoons and cups added it would be great. One more thing. Daybeds i drivers rooms are great but they have managed to put a rubbish bin at the head of each one so it stinks and they are unuseable right next to your head. Suggest relocate rubbish bin. You dont need 4 just 1 is fine if they are serviced regularly. I do appreciate very much the facility. Country and interstate bus and coach drivers seek this out!
Peter R — Google review
Just be mindful of the height of your coach or bus as different areas have different clearances. Clean toilets and rest room. The restroom has everything you need.
