Everything from dinosaurs to a photo galley to an indigenous people gallery. This museum is well maintained with lots of clean bathrooms. Appropriate for people of all ages. It’s also laid out so that it’s mobility friendly. And I specifically noted that they are LGBTQ friendly. The cost was worth the several hours I spent there on my visit. It’s highly recommended.

Make sure you wear the proper shoes because there’s lots of ground to cover. Thankfully, the museum has many places for you to sit and take a break or simple mull over the art work right in front of you. If you want to start with American History, take a right as you walk in. If you want to start with Ancient Greece and or Eastern Civilization, take a left. You’ll also find African American History to your right as well. The museum has four floors on either side. If you don’t mind walking, take the stairs. If not, hop on the glass elevator which allows you to view the exhibits while taking a ride. The exhibits are well diverse and rich with history. I can’t speak highly enough of this amazing, interactive, well-structured, and super fun place! I’ve been taking my daughter and her cousins here for 3 years and love being a member. There are endless activities for toddlers to pre-teens to enjoy all day long. We always arrive when they first open and stay for several hours. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and so immersive, from a creek to splash in to bubbles to a massive slide and musical tree fort. The kids love the water features. The ball room upstairs and Little Town downstairs are two top favorites. The staff are wonderful and friendly. You’re allowed to bring your own food and drink inside. I love spending a full day there once a month and watching the kids light up as they have the best time playing!

To be honest we didn’t know what to expect but we really did enjoy ourselves. The food/burgers was really good, the staff were friendly and helpful when purchasing our museum tickets. We took our time walking through the museums (about and hour and half) and made sure to grab a magnet to remember it by when we left. Their gift shop has some really nice Texas inspired merchandise, don’t skip it. We will go back, at least for the burgers.

The saloon/restaurant is really cool, covered from top to bottom in taxidermy animals. Lots of cool history on the walls. The place also has two museums, the Buckhorn Museum and the Texas Ranger Museum. The Buckhorn Museum has a bunch of taxidermy animals and other curiosities. The sideshow exhibit was neat...but some parts of it weren't working. The Texas Ranger museum houses a nice collection of artifacts from various famous Texas Rangers, as well as a recreation of old San Antonio. A plus is that you get to carry around a beer from the bar while visiting the museums. Had lunch at the end of my visit and the food was pretty solid. There's a lot to see here and you can certainly spend a good deal of time here between the various exhibits and the food/drink. It's definitely a little tourist-trappy, but still worth a visit if you are in the downtown area.

After complaining about the dissatisfaction with the sitting situation, we were move and then we were able to see the show.
