I’m not into lion fish on my pizza so I’m not reviewing the food. Check the menu for yourself. The atmosphere is run down. There’s no interaction between you and the staff or others at the bar so show up with your friends. The beer is ok to pretty good but nothing to get excited about. We had heard so much negative about the beer. I've been drinking small brew pub beers since the 80's and think they are doing an excellent job. Style wise spot on. The pizza was great and we wanted lion fish so they found a frozen bag of it, thawed it and made us ceviche. It was amazing. Definitely worth stopping in and I will be back for sure.

This taqueria was recommended by the locals. My hubby scuba dives in Cozumel often but doesn’t explore many of the restaurants. I’m 1st generation Mexican American so I know my authentic Mexican food. These are the tacos you want. I haven’t tried their Gringa Pique but our local friends raved about the Alpastor Gringa Pique which is like a pizza. Anyhoo… not sure if I’ll try it bc I’m just hooked on their guac n tacos. We’ve been here about 10 days and already eaten here twice. I’m pretty sure we’ll be here a couple more times before we leave and this place will be one of our favs!!! Oh, and you can’t beat the price. Hubby and I each get 2 tacos and share a plate of guac n chips, we give a generous 20% tip and it’s still less than $20 USD, great place all around!!! Try it, you’ll be glad you did!!!

Our tour guide suggested Casa Mission for lunch and he did not lead us astray. This place was phenomenal. The grounds are beautiful, service was top notch, and the food was amazing.
Our group of 10 was attended to very quickly and the soup, bread, and chips and salsa were the perfect start to our meals. We were almost too full for the entrees, but we pushed through. So good!!!

I am a local and I’ve read about this place on Facebook for several months so I decided to try it. Highly recommended! Great food (try the mole enchiladas), great atmosphere, Mexican music being played by a live trio. And their table side guacamole is delicious! They are dog friendly too. Some places are dog friendly but that can be a problem with the dogs that are not well behaved. When you arrive, they share a list of dog rules with you and if your dog cannot follow them they will not allow the dog in. Or, if your dog breaks the rules, the dog has to leave. Makes for a great experience!Rebeca was my hostess and she was very helpful. And Armando was my waiter and he did a great job. Try to get them to help you when you are here.

We have been to Casa Mission several times over the years. It seams to stay the same for the most part. During this visit at the last minute it was discovered that we were in a rush to get the next ferry back to the main land. Eating dinner at Casa Mission was a delightful experience! The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside with a lovely outdoor dining space as well and evokes hacienda architecture. The waitstaff are very friendly and the service is quick! Drinks are fantastic, especially the margaritas. We had the beef steak nachos, ceviche, and shrimp burrito and everything was freshly made and so delicious. The ceviche was very refreshing, and I could eat it every day. Casa Mission is a must visit!

Excellent place to avoid the nonsense high density tourist areas. Nice chill spot to grab some high quality food and take in some cool architecture and sights. Paying took quite a long time and our taxi was waiting outside thinking we bailed on him. I think it took 30min to pay. I highly recommend the Caesar salad, he makes it right in front of you.

Ix Kool was not what I expected.... it was 10 times better! The blending of the food was exceptional. We ordered straight away from the menu. Do yourself a favour. Watch the info video explaining the foods and how they are made. Best meal in 20 days of travelling Mexico. The guacamole was prepared in front of us at the table. We first came to Casa Denis in 2017 on a cruise stop. As soon as we decided to come to Cozumel for a full week this year, I knew we had to make a stop here. I visited Casa Denis, Cozumel’s oldest restaurant located in the historic center. I ordered the chile relleno plate with rice and corn tortillas, along with two Mexican beers. They brought what I thought was complimentary chips and pico de gallo to start. Pico de gallo had some good heat to it. I also appreciated that they accommodated my request for no shrimp. Some beans or more local vegetarian dishes would have been nice but not on the menu. Lots of cheese options.

Loved this place so much we had to come back a second time during our trip to the island. The food was amazing, the view is absolutely unbeatable, and the service was super friendly. I came all the way from New York to Mexico, and this was actually my very first meal here. I was so excited to finally taste some authentic local flavors—but honestly, this place left me a little disappointed.
The food leaned heavily toward a more Westernized, Caucasian-style flavor profile: tons of cheese, very bland, and lacking depth or spice. Not an overly cheap place either in comparison to a few others in the area, but it is very atmospheric and beautiful to have a light dinner at. The setting is very unique and beautiful. The food was fantastic. I had the lion cakes and the Mayan catch of the day, each dish was very flavorful. The cocktails are also great. Prices are high but the food is good enough to match. Service is friendly and professional, however if you may need any accommodation you should rethink going here. My wife ordered the ribeye risotto, and was asked how she would like the steak. She said medium because she is pregnant and does not want any chance of undercooked meat causing illness. The steak slices arrived rare, which looked delicious but it's not what was requested. She asked our server to have it cooked fully, when it came back it looked like it was just seared a second time and still rare to medium rare. It didn't seem like a language issue, they knew she wanted it fully cooked through. We ended up taking it to go so we could fully cook it in the microwave. Everything else was great, but that issue made it very difficult to enjoy the rest of the meal.

We visited this place for dinner, I got fish tacos and my husband got tacos with meet. Also we ordered guacamole. Service was fast and the waiter was super friendly. Friends said to try this local restaurant and it did not disappoint!! Service excellent. We came in at mid afternoon and this place was still busy. It's not right up front with the tourist area so you'll have to go up a street, and you'll be happy you did. We preferred tacos, a burrito, fresh guac, and margaritas... Took the ferry to Cozumel and wanted to find a place just away from the touristy stuff. This place was exactly what I wanted and more. Very cool place with a sort of modern boho/beach style. Staff was very attentive to my non-Spanish speaking self. Incredibly delicious fruit covered in yogurt and granola was something I didn’t realize I wanted! Saw it on the menu to keep it a light breakfast and damn was it good! Filling but light and healthy. Plus, seemed like a fitting local food! Not for smoothies though, the smoothie didn't taste like fresh / ripe fruit and was disappointing. They played mostly American music and charged us extra for tortillas and guacamole with the fajitas I ordered which felt strange since I am used to having them included. We come to Cozumel every winter and spend a month or two. Cozumel has excellent restaurants. We always visit Colores y Sabores within our first week because the service provided by owner operator , Regina Robledo David, and her staff is warm, welcoming and first class. The drinks are great whether you are interested in the many fresh juices available for a non alcoholic drink or the full bar to support many cocktails that are available. Tonight my husband had a vodka tonic and I had a delicious well mixed lime margarita. The guacamole was fresh and a perfect starter with chips and our cocktails. For our main course we had our favorite dinner prepared at this restaurant, chile rellanos mixto. This is a huge poblano pepper stuffed with beef and cheese and covered in a delicious sauce. The best version of this dish on the island. It comes with rice and beans.We were given such generous portions that we each brought half our meal home for tomorrow’s lunch. We could not resist topping this fantastic meal off with a perfect carrot cake. Moist and flavorful, accompanied with a cup of americano coffee. We will soon return. This is a small gem of a wonderful restaurant for a warm, welcomed meal of fresh fish or Mexican specialties.

We visited Caribe Burger for a quick dinner and we were not disappointed. The menu is extensive and the prices are very reasonable. We all had burgers which were AMAZING!! The Shrimp Cocktail was huge (get the medium) and super floral with a tremendous amount of t of shrimp. I had shrimp tacos and the wife had chicken tacos and they were outstanding! Forget about the places with fancy presentation but no flavor, this place has THE BEST tacos we’ve experienced on the island and we’ve had quite a few tacos over the years. We are frequent travelers to Cozumel (live in Tulum) and me and my Mexican spouse come here every time for the delicious food you can't find anywhere else around this part. The Kibe is to die for and the arab tacos are always moist and delicious. However, it is the Baba Ghanoush that is just so perfect here. I was always a late night food item for me after the bars in Washington DC and we both crave this dish the second we get off the ferry.

We'd intended to eat lunch at a nearby restaurant, but we mistakenly went to Las Flamitas, which seemed to have a lot of local customers. We did not regret this error. The second visit here we came from an all inclusive day resort and this food was soooo much better. Jonatan was there during both of our visits, and his recommendations were fantastic. I loved this place so much that I went twice in one day. The portions are generous, and even the vegetables served with the fillet are full of flavor. The shakes are a must-try. Adorable little restaurant with a nice patio and tasty Vegan treats. The owner was a super friendly guy and the food was ready quickly and tasted awesome. We had the Jalapeno bites and the Cheese Quesadilla to start and then split the Enchiladas verdes, with rice and beans. We came here twice during our trip to Cozumel since we enjoyed the food so much! Really laid back vibe and fully vegan menu which was incredible, right down to the desserts. We ordered tacos and a burrito our first night, and two burritos and a quesadilla the next visit. We also tried their vegan snickers milkshake both times which was honestly one of the best vegan milkshakes we’ve ever tried. It’s a small, family run restaurant and the food is all freshly made and the service is casual so you’ll want to devote some time here. If you are looking for desi food (Indian & Pakistani) in Cozumel this is the place to come. Lots of vegetarian options as well. Meats not halal but they have good alternatives. The place is ran by an extremely nice couple Neeta & Nikhil. They took care of us many times. We went there once and visited two more times as my wife had desi food cravings and can’T go without it for a few days. Service is good and portions are good sized. Gobi / Chicken Manchurian in the appetizer is a must try. We never had the chicken version but I’m sure it’s just as tasty. They also have a small desi grocery store in there for people that would want to buy grocery off a Cruiseship or if you are renting an AirBnB. We were living in a resort and had food available to us for free 24/7 but we still took our time to come here as the food tested really good. Biryani was also very authentic as it was cooked as how it should (varies on where you are from, different versions of biryani) I could say it was a North Indian version of the biryani. Daal Makhani, Chole (Chaney), Paneer/Chicken Tikka Masala is what we had as well and they were great, Lassi is as authentic as it can get. Mushroom momos was very good as well, especially since I had it for the first time. Prices are also very fair considering next to options on the island. Amazing service was provided by the staff as well, restaurant is a full service restaurant and could accommodate 16-18 people. Highly recommend!

I was surprised to find genuinely authentic home-cooked indian food in Cozumel. The restaurant is located inside a grocery store selling spices but please don't let that put you off. Its rare to find people who take great care in making food so authentic and tasty. They can make custom orders if you give them time - and I did order some food not shown on the menu. Cozumel is rather limited in food choices compared to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun. I have only found a handful of places worth mentioning to friends (specifically only 2 others) until I came here.
The service is amazing and attentive. It has a beautiful outdoor setting with trees and lights. It creates a great ambiance to enjoy a delicious meal. The prices were also not exorbitant as they can be for the same type of quality in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen.

It's a bit outside the touristy area, so we seemed to be the only non-local customers, and the staff was very patient with our limited Spanish. We had al pastor tacos, choriqueso (melted cheese with chorizo, scooped into tortillas) and frijoles charros with pastor (which were delicious but a bit soupy). Their horchata was was flavored with cinnamon and likely made without milk. Everything was very good and reasonably priced.

Me lo recomendaron sin embargo, a los frijoles charros les faltaba sabor, los tacos de chuleta y los de pastor están más o menos, e probado mejores. El Agua de Jamaica está bien, fría y con buen sabor. En la parte de adentro del lado del trompo hace mucho calor, te recomiendo del otro lado o afuera. They had the best tacos I've had so far in Cozumel. I had the chicken tacos and a steak taco both with cheese. They also give you a spicy and a mild sauce to put on it. You also have the option of getting onions with cilantro. All of which tasted fresh and delicious.

We stayed at Casa Del Mar and ate all our meals at the Coral Restaurant. The prices were great for the portions and the food had great flavor. They even have happy hour from 5-6pm. All food items under $10. Drinks as well. Fried fresh grouper and fajitas were a favorite.
