We had: the mixed meat and cheese platter (all of which were delicious and a very enjoyed diversion from the typical fare in Cozumel), a mango-anchovy risotto that was so bright and lively, the carbonara (the best I’ve ever had. Their housemade pasta is excellent), and their chocolate cake (decadent in all the right ways but just shy of being too much). The drinks (red wine, mezcal, as gin cocktail) were all lovely. Some of the best food I’ve had anywhere - hands down. Their staff know and appreciate their food - and so they do their job well.

The food was fantastic. I had the lion cakes and the Mayan catch of the day, each dish was very flavorful. The cocktails are also great. Prices are high but the food is good enough to match. Service is friendly and professional, however if you may need any accommodation you should rethink going here. My wife ordered the ribeye risotto, and was asked how she would like the steak. She said medium because she is pregnant and does not want any chance of undercooked meat causing illness. The steak slices arrived rare, which looked delicious but it's not what was requested. She asked our server to have it cooked fully, when it came back it looked like it was just seared a second time and still rare to medium rare. It didn't seem like a language issue, they knew she wanted it fully cooked through. We ended up taking it to go so we could fully cook it in the microwave. Everything else was great, but that issue made it very difficult to enjoy the rest of the meal.

But when you compare this gym to other locations - like the one near Cancun it’s really very small and needs updating and expanding. Even though most things are there to get a good work out in! In general I would say it’s not completely 5 stars but that might also be because of the general vibe with many (American) people drinking a lot and thus enjoying all the activities in their own way. Very close to the airport, as well as all the mid and southern reefs. Many dive companies pick up on the pier at the hotel. The culinary experience was wonderful, and the service was great at all of the restaurants. We especially enjoyed the Mexican themed restaurant. Very close to downtown (within walking distance) and felt very safe around the area. Our room was spacious. We had one issue with the shower and it was fixed immediately. The entertainment was a cherry - some of it was actually pretty good for not really expecting to be entertained. The pools were fairly quiet and for the all inclusive part, they did not skimp. Not really a beach, and somewhat turbulent water to swim in, but a great viewing area that you can see across to the mainland. Did not have any bad service whatsoever. I can't remember all the names to give shout outs to, but I remember that Luis in the workout area was very nice and a good representative of the type of customer service that they provided. The only negative is that they pressure a little at the end to sign up with them for your next vacation. It actually looked like a pretty good deal, but just felt a tad pushy. Once we hit the island, we got our luggage, and another Palace rep, who recognized my name, hooked us up with a taxi to the resort. At the resort, our concierge, David, gave us a warm welcome. We went into an office where David offered us some chips and guacamole, which was super thoughtful after our journey. After checking in, we were shown to our rooms. Our room totally blew us away! The ocean view and in-room hot tub were absolutely incredible and a dream come true. After checking out our rooms, we went downstairs for complimentary manicures and pedicures. This was a first for me, but the foot massage, exfoliation, and nail care were seriously relaxing and enjoyable. By the pool, the team was amazing! They brought us towels, offered drinks, and gave awesome recommendations, making us feel right at home. We met so many cool people by the pool. The resort restaurants consistently served up delicious food, and I was happy to see my son trying all sorts of dishes. The staff were super attentive, providing excellent service and recommendations. The entertainment team was incredibly dedicated, going above and beyond to make sure everyone had a blast. Some minor things could have been better planned out with the wedding but overall everything was great when it came to the location and service. We loved the beach and access to Iguanas across the street. Floricel was an amazing staff member and made the best peanut butter drink, which I need the recipe for! When it came to the staff by the water Arbey and Diego did awesome for activities. Everyone was great and friendly with our kids as well. Our house keeper did an amazing job as well! Fantastic entertainment! 5* for Diego. 3* for resort. We will not return. Tuesday night rock in roll entertainment was the fantastic - by far the best show. Tonight’s Italian restaurant never offered us drinks nor brought me a meal….my husband and son walked out of the restaurant to the bar to get us drinks. My husband and son had a really nice steak with sauce so I ordered the same. FIFTY minutes later when I asked yet again for the same meal they brought me a dry steak with zero sauce or seasoning. Which I guess can describe this place best…INCONSISTENT. To conclude, Diego was awesome! Drinks were good. Beach was beautiful. I like how thin the wrist bands are and that they’re keys to the room, AC in the room is great. The facilities: The resort is absolutely beautiful - the beach is clean and the water is exceptionally clear. The pools are also kept very clean and nice. The management is very helpful - we had a few small issues (our door lock died and we were locked out) and they were resolved extremely promptly - one time before we even made it back from reception! Overall, I would say the food was underwhelming - especially if you don't eat meat. We went to the Mexican restaurant for both our reservations (you get one per 3 day stay) and it was much better than the buffet. Carlos, the head waiter, was very nice, as was Alfredo. This is definitely a family oriented resort - it got very quiet after about 10pm (when the show ended), and if you weren't going to the show, there wasn't much going on after about 8. If you're looking for a nice place to relax, this is a great choice. There's some nice wildlife (coatis, beautiful birds - including some flamingos flying over head, great fish to see at the beach), fun activities, and a beautiful resort.

The front desk will go out of their way to help you and make your stay as comfortable as possible. This is not a resort for those looking for lavish. The owner seated us and when i asked for gluten free, he asked if i was celiac or was it a preference. The staff and owners are very friendly. I had the supreme being salad and my not celiac spouse had the sensei rolls...so fricken good. We came back the next day and had the sensai rolls (my fav) and the sumsara salad and tortilla chips, dessert we had ice cream sandwich and cheeky monkie pie. We are here for 2 more nights and I will be back. The owner lived in Montreal for 12 years and learned his tallent there. Reasonably priced food, the hours are Wed to Sat 5pm - 10 pm.

Our original venue had an issue and we had to pivot to a beach wedding with one week's notice, and we contacted the owner, Yonatan, to ask about catering the event. Yonatan and his team are miracle workers and came through for us with amazing tacos, his incredible tiramisu, and wonderful staff. They made their awesome signature cocktails for us with an in-house bartender, helped set up and break everything down before and after the event, and coordinated with our rental company. He even secured us audio equipment to play our music. We loved Nutty Treesome's food already, but Yonatan and Miranda and their team have changed our lives by helping us pull off the wedding of our dreams with little notice. We will forever be grateful to them and can't wait to come back when we return to Cozumel. This is the first vegan restaurant on the island and they really set a trend as many more have opened since! The smoothies were the best I've had in mexico so far. The hummus was great the sandwich was just stellar and the sushi roll was really good. It's made with love and care you can tell they are in for the whole experience of vegan food and lifestyle. I highly reccomend a visit to this little place it is a great find.
