A varied Breakfast is included, which you can enjoy in the restaurant or in your room. Great bathrooms with separate toilet, natural soap products, tooth brushes, combs, earbuds & shampoos replenished everyday by house keeping, along with bottled water/ tea & coffee. Bar/ Resturant in the ground floor serving, beers, banded spirits, juices, smoothies and cocktails as well as a good range of Khmer & western dishes. The staff are phenomenal, Gee/Gue/Guye (apologies if I've spelt his name wrong!) is exceptional, really made our stay, never seen anyone work so hard! The rest of the staff are friendly, talkative and speak good English. We had two 90 minute oil massages, with two different masseuse's, both great, highly recommended in clean, well appointed air-conditioned rooms. The pool area is beautiful and lush with plants and we enjoyed the music selection! There is some construction noise in the area, but this didn't effect the rooms and was not overly intrusive around the pool. The sauna/ steam room/ jacuzzi/ darker areas open to non-guests around 4pm and got much busier with locals around 8pm (midnight closing). We stayed Saturday - Thursday and each night (especially Sunday) was busy with locals and foreginers. The sauna/ steam room/ jacuzzi areas are very dark, darker than we are used to in the west and there are steps (check it out before dark) but once your eyes accustom, it's no problem. The jacuzzi, steam room & dry sauna are hot! Which is great and a change from the lukewarm temperatures you often find. Guests with ID can visit you room without charge if you like entertaining 😉 The resort can arrange your transfers and tours and there's tut-tuts outside. Can't wait to visit again next year!

It really felt for us like staying at our aunties house, which was lovely. She greeted us when we arrived and offered us a drink on the house. We then sat down and had a lovely chat after which she explained to us where in Phnom Penh we were located and where all the things to do and see where relative to the hotel. Even S-21, the must visit Genocide museum in Phnom Penh was only a 15 minute walk away. So for us the location was perfect. Breakfast was lovely, with unlimited toast, several different spreads, muesli and eggs available. Coffee and tea included too. For us Dutchies who'd been away from the Netherlands for a while now, the Dutch snacks that Petra makes herself were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend trying the bitterballen as they were delicious! The room was simple but very comfortable. Especially the bed was super comfy, probably one of the most comfiest we've had in SEA. Bathroom was great and clean with a hot water shower. Then there also was Mr Tomtom, the most amazing personal tuktuk driver you can ask for. He can take you anywhere in and around the city against fair prices. We had an amazing time staying here and we'd highly recommend booking if you're coming to Phnom Penh!

Petra the owner is the heart and soul of her bed and breakfast. On arrival she welcomed us with wine and beer. The large lobby and shared lounge space has historic colonial charm. There was no housekeeping in the room during our stay but it was only 2 nights so it was ok. Upstairs the rooms are basic. They are equipped with AC and hot water shower /wet room with body soap & towels provided. The king size bed was very comfortable. Petra makes a simple fried or scrambled egg and toast breakfast. Her filter coffee is wonderful, and she is great conversation. Mr Tomtom who works with Petra is also friendly and helpful. he provides convenient transport in his stylish Khmer rickshaw (airport /bus station/shopping/ sightseeing). The Wi-Fi works very well, and the place is located near many amenities (atm, market, restaurants, bars, cafes within walking distance). During a couple days in Phnom Penh’s monsoon rain, we sadly saw a couple large cockroaches that came to die in the corridor just outside our room, but Luckily didn’t see any inside the room. Altogether it was a welcoming friendly and safe-feeling guesthouse. Rooms could do with a little modernisation for the price for Phnom Penh, but you are really paying for Petra’s hospitality and helpfulness. Note to bring cash to pay, (despite our booking confirmation stating cards accepted) as is the case for many places in Cambodia.

The stool next to bath tub is shaky. One has to cross over wide to stand on the stool with your wet feet, which can easily slip and fall. There is a deep drain in the middle of toilet which is a fall hazard too. I am sure they have not thought through thoroughly about the design for the toilet. The washing basin tap also has no hot water although the sign indicated turn tap for hot water for 3 to 5 mins. There are cockroaches and ants in room. Noticed the wide gap between the front door. The tv channels are also blurry. There are discrepancies with the rooms item list. 1 bathrope and 1 peanut are missing. There is no or little communication among the staff. Housekeeping says they only take care of cleaning. Maintenance does not check at all. Eventually, the guests are the ones checking the defects. Sheets are still used from the night before so their super cozy as well as friends that climb the walls to keep you company. You don’t need to open the window to hear the music or anyones conversation on the street! You can lay in bed and participate with the nightlife! This was a horrendous stay. The room was disgusting, hair all over the bathroom. The bedding didn’t look washed and had stains all over the blanket and sheets. There was broken glass pieces in the bedding. Lizards inside the room. This hotel is on the party street and the noise was literally all night as music boomed and ladies cat cawed at men walking by. It wouldn’t have been terrible except for the stained bed. The shower was easy to use and hot water came out which was nice. The staff was also nice. The reception desk is inside the bar. We took photos but I’m not posting them as it’s pretty gross. I hope you have a better stay than we did if you stay here.
