We purchased Chef Simone's Cornish pasties, treacle tarts & crepe cakes. We reheated the Cornish pasties in the air fryer & OMG, it was incredible. The Dubai chocolate martini was incredible, albeit with an unusual texture. The brownie was big enough to share and exactly what you want out of a brownie. I’m typically not big on croissants: I haven’t been on good terms with the French ever since Air Canada lost my suitcase a few years ago, and usually I almost always lean towards more chocolate-forward selections at bakeries. But this was not the case for Pint Size Bakery’s salted caramel croissant. The salted caramel croissant is undoubtedly the best croissant I have tried in any STL bakery, and honestly I think it’s even in the same tier as places that are nationally renowned for their croissants like Arsicault Bakery in San Francisco. From the sugar crunch on the top, to the crisp of the classic croissant outer layer, followed by the soft butteriness of the base layer, and finally concluded with the salted caramel filling at the bottom — each bite provided a whirlwind of experiences that I couldn’t get enough of. I’m not one to even crave croissants to begin with, but this may be the first bakery that has me routinely crawling back just for a croissant. The lil’ Twix tart and the cookies n creme cinnamon roll were also tantalizing to the taste buds, and I was very happy with both of these. If you need something else besides croissants to round out your pastry box, these are both great additions that you can’t go wrong with. Pint Size Bakery is at the absolute pinnacle of the STL pastry game. It is undoubtedly one of the best bakeries I’ve tried in STL, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who craves Saturday morning sweets. It was traditional and unique. We ordered the fried ravioli for an appetizer and also had a few loafs of complementary bread with yummy hummus. Item aren’t marked as gluten free on the menu but the waiter was knowledgeable. I got the beef and my wife got the trout, both of which are gluten free. Absolutely delicious! They even included tasty gluten free toast. We got dessert as well. The chocolate mousse is gluten free if you get it without the topping. My wife’s pumpkin pot de crème was gluten free as well. Side note: The waiter said that the fries “have a little bit of gluten” so I assume they’re just not in a dedicated fryer. The request we made with our reservation for a corner table at the back was granted because one of our party has some hearing issues. The location made it so much easier to talk with one other in the bustling, high-energy space. When our entrees were delayed, the manager made sure to come over to see what else she could provide as we waited and our waitress expedited our order. Even though it looked like the place was at capacity and there were other establishments nearby, we found a good amount of pay-to-park (Park Mobile) street parking, just two-minute walk further up the street. The entrees had the same vibe, decent but not as good as my Mom recalled. The Pad Thai was a bit watery and the noodles were much thinner than I’ve had before— almost like angel hair! My Mom enjoyed the 3 Kings of Thailand but also noted that it just wasn’t as good as before. The neighborhood isn't the best and parking is a nightmare if you chose to dine in. We placed an order for pick up well in advance and received a confirmation of when it would be done. I for one hate cilantro so the spicy noodle salad was awful, the spicy eggplant was better but both were so spicy hot I let my daughter have both. As for my wrap..their wraps are in rice paper so they have a different appearance than other wraps you are use to. And they wrap them in saran wrap really tight so just getting to it was a challenge. It was crammed full of delicious tender slices of grilled chicken, stir fried rice and chopped salad lettuce and I enjoyed it very much. I would like to dine in some time in the future to fully experience but my initial take is it is a very eclectic place in an old building, the employees seem friendly and apologized several times for my wait and the food was good.

There was nowhere on the online order form that stated the flavors for custom messages on cakes or a dropdown selection box to chose a flavor so I didn't even think about having to specify when I placed the order. I called the location I picked it up from hoping they would be able to give me another cake with my custom message that I paid extra for since the online order form did not make things very clear or somehow use the cake they gave me and change the flavor on the message. I was told the owner would have to call me about the situation. When I received the call he seemed annoyed, was rude, made it seem like I was to blame, and asked the age of my son which had no relevance whatsoever. He finally offered to exchange the cake for a presliced cake with no message on it which didn't look nearly as nice and wasn't what I had paid for. He also stated that he had no idea what he was going to to with my custom cake so I am assuming it went to waste. Cafes or bakeries with really damn good bread, and food, and people. Was searching for a spot to grab breakfast and get on my laptop on the way to STL for a flight home. I couldn’t have been happier to have found Knead. Decent sized space with a lot of tables. The food was truly spectacular. So good in fact, that I ate my breakfast sandwich (pictured), worked for an hour while enjoying my coffee, and then proceeded to buy lunch (chicken salad sandwich and a cookie not pictured) for my flight, plus a bag of brioche buns to take home. It’s not near anywhere I’ll be the next time I’m in town for work, but I cannot wait to go back regardless. It’s worth it. Kudos to Knead for their sourdough and people (folks working were so kind!)

The smell of fresh cookie wraps around you as soon as you clear the doorway. The staff was friendly and engaging. They had genuine smiles and were happy to help.
