First off, the checkin is at the top of a daunting flight of stairs and the checkin person wasnt the friendliest. Got a room code on a postit note and we entered the room. On first impressions it wasnt too bad, 2 double beds and quite spacious with a nice bathroom. The end of the duvet on the main bed seems to have a brown/dark red stain which i dread to think what it actually is. The second bed wasnt bad but i didnt take much of a good look, also to mention that the plug sockets for the second bed were far away from the bed withiut a bedside table. One of the main things which has sealed my opinion on it was the absurd noise from the bar underneath. Now this may be partly on my fault because i didnt read the reviews but surely they could get some noise insulation, it was as if i was down in the bar. This went on until past midnight. Ive seen people complaining about the noise from the bus station but i didnt hear much of it in all honesty but that may be partly down to the location of my room. Another thing thats made me never want to return was the fact i could hear people in the room next to us getting it on if you know what i mean. One positive thing about it was the location, right in the center of Oxford with plenty of nice food places and even a wetherspoons, unfortunately thats the only good thing its got going for it. It definetly ruined my experience of going to the F1 weekend and i do not recommend anyone going there unless your a drinker or heavy sleeper.
