この美術館前の階段を目掛けて行って、どうせならと建物の外観をザッと見たがかなり凝っていて、細かな装飾が南北？東西？の入口で施されている。 自分の行った火曜日と水曜日は休館日らしく、どうせなら入りたかったがまたここへ来た時の楽しみに取っておこう。

入館が無料の日に訪れた為、混んでいました。 入館するまで10分から15分程度待ちました。（ロッキーの像がある側の入口) でも帰りに見た限り、反対側の正面入口は空いていたようです。 とても大きな美術館で全ての作品を観るには2時間近く要すると思います。 ただし、有名な画家の作品（ゴッホのひまわり、セザンヌやモネの作品)は、一部屋にまとめて展示してあるので、時間がない人はそこだけ見学すれば十分満足できると思います。 フィラデルフィアの有名観光施設ですが、私はそこまで良さが分からなかったので、知人にオススメする事はないと思います。

6月の平日に行きましたが、人があまりおらず、とてもゆったりと観ることが出来ました。 ここの博物館でしか観ることが出来ない世界的に有名なアートがあるので是非観て欲しいです。 近代芸術のコーナーもあるので楽しいですよ。

凄すぎる。アメリカの大国ぶりを痛感させられた。一日では絶対に見きれないので、興味ある近代以降の絵画コーナーを重点的に見たが、各国の遺産などをモチーフにした展示も凄かった。 目玉なのはデュシャンの大ガラスかな？ でも絵画のコーナーはあまり人気がなかった気がする。

名画が整理されて展示されていて観やすい。ゴッホのひまわりをはじめとする世界的な画家の作品を間近に見ることができます。便器を噴水として展示して物議をかもしたあの作品もあります。しかも、料金はsuggestionです。驚きです。昼過ぎから混み始めるので、午前一番に行くことをお勧めします。裏口にあるパーキングは2時間制の看板が立ってますが、実際のところ支払機がないため無料です。なので、フィラデルフィア美術館はほぼ無料で観ることができるといっていいと思います。行かない理由なし。
