The hotel was in a fantastic location for exploring the centre and surrounding areas. On arrival, we were issued our room, we had booked our room for a bath, however, we had a shower. The cost of parking is extortionate. The breakfast was fine but we had to ask someone to take or order on two of the 3 mornings we were there and there was mould on the fruit in the yoghurt pot I selected from the buffet. We put an evening aside to enjoy the spa "facilities" and paid full price for treatments only to find out afterwards that there is a 15% discount for guests (which we were not told about when checking in). The spa "relaxation area" is basically a waiting area in a corridor with room for 3 people (I stood by the window waiting for my treatment), it is definitely not a relaxing area to spend an afternoon. I enjoyed my treatment but my partner's treatment was 10mins shorter than he paid for and was generally an enjoyable experience. There is also a £50 holding charge applied per night on check-in which again is not advertised anywhere. As part of the package (Malmaison Spa Retreat)we got a 2 course lunch, glass of bubbles and chocolates. We got no chocolates which is misleading and mis selling. Don't include something if you have no intention of giving it. The food at the restaurant was okay but took a long time as it wasn't even busy. We were recommended to come once a month which will definitely not be happening as the service, facilities and disorganisation of Malmaison Piccadilly Spa has let down the whole experience. Firstly, the wedding was handle brilliantly, great co-ordination and staff could not be more professional, helpful and friendly. Due to this, it meant salt went on the bed and floor in the communal areas & the staff member was rude when she saw this. We had lunch in the bar and the food was appalling, unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture but I’d ordered a Thai chicken salad and just got given some plain chicken and some raw veg? The staff in the restaurant were also not pleasant. For a 5* hotel, this really isn’t a 5* experience!!
