Cathedral
Catholic church
Nestled in the vibrant Arts Precinct of Bendigo, Sacred Heart Cathedral stands as a magnificent testament to both architectural beauty and historical significance. Serving as the seat of the Bishop of Sandhurst, this impressive structure is not only one of Australia's largest churches but also ranks as the second tallest after St Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne.
This historic church is incredible to see. It is so huge and powerful, I was in awe seeing it. I am not religious myself but I always appreciate a beautiful church building with centuries of history. This is probably the biggest and favourite that I’ve seen up close. Definitely go and visit!

The architectural beauty of the cathedral is beyond beautiful. indeed one of the best landmark of Bendigo. The solemnity, peace and tranquility you will feel when you enter the church will warm your heart.

a beautiful space. magnificent cathedral. helpful and knowledgeable volunteers, who have amazing stories of the cathedral's history.
Suzanne P — Google review
The architectural structure is exceptionally beautiful and striking. This slender edifice is particularly captivating, measuring 75 meters (246 feet) in length, 43 meters (141 feet) in width, and standing at a height of 87 meters (285 feet). Its magnificence is truly remarkable.
Tanu . — Google review
I was lucky enough to be here for a wedding. After travelling in England this is just as beautiful 😍
Theresa W — Google review
The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Bendigo is a masterpiece of neo-gothic architecture, and it’s towering height over the city makes this cathedral one of the most remarkable landmarks in Bendigo. Although the interior is relatively plain in comparison with other cathedrals around the world, I love how it is flooded with sunlight during the day, thus creating a beautiful ambience. The pipe organ, installed in 1905, has an incredible sound quality. The cathedral is the site of the annual Christus Rex Pilgrimage, held on the last weekend of October, and of which I have participated several times. May this magnificent structure bear witness to the depths of Christ’s love for us in His sacred heart.

Pedestrian zone
Hargreaves Mall in Bendigo is home to the Makers Market, a charming boutique market that showcases an array of exquisitely handcrafted items during the warmer months. Visitors can engage with passionate artisans, explore unique stalls, and discover ideal gifts while enjoying seasonal performances and local music. Although some stores have closed down and there may be a presence of beggars, the moonlight market offers a delightful experience.
The lingering loud young people make you feel unsafe, but the various stores and night market was good.
John S — Google review
It's not what it was 25 years ago before they "fixed" the place up. Need incentives to entice shop owners to come on board, many stores vacant. Need security in the mall until such time people feel confident to come here. Need more parking in this area so it's not as difficult for customers to visit, if it's too hard people won't come. Needs to be more family friendly. I hope it can come back...
Aleisha B — Google review
I don't know what the answer is to rejuvenate the mall just comes across as a place not to visit with lots of shops closed. From time to time when there is a market or event taking place its ok.All I know is a lot of money has been spent over the years for no real result.I really don't know how anybody could give this mall five stars(really). One thing nobody seems to talk about is the leasing of shop space (are they to expensive) to attract potential businesses?I did notice in Ballarat recently they have free parking for the first hour maybe that could be looked at by council?
Tom S — Google review
If you enjoy watching Youth (crime) groups getting into brawls, or the odd crack head screaming at random people or being passed out somewhere - then this is the place for you! It could be such a nice part of the CBD if it wasn't so riddled with degenerates completely ruining it - the Council I can see has made some attempts over the years to try and colour it up more including making it a more child-friendly place, but it just isn't enough to overrule the cowardice of eshays looking for their next fight or store to steal from, or the odd druggie disrupting the peace or being passed out in a corner somewhere.
Drunk D — Google review
What is happening here?? Or actually NOT happening here actually.. Bendigo council you should be ashamed!!! What a poor excuse for a focal point of interest.. Just sort it out, it's embarrassing!! Nothing to see here.. So sorry for the 2 or 3 businesses left here, I encourage people to still visit them..
P K — Google review
This place used to be great when I was younger now they've just made it worse.. there's no shade.. no public toilets nothing! And lots of the shops have closed down.. Trees have gone the community benches have gone there's nothing to the place...
Jess ( — Google review
Hardly and stores open. It just looks dull, boring and dark. Always crime going on. Smells like urine. Pretty embarrassing this is the "heart" of our city
Amelia J — Google review
The place can be a bit dodgy, but does have some great shops here, including cotton on for kids and adult cotton on. There is allay a great play area for the kids, which our son just loves.

Kids can also enjoy indoor and outdoor adventure play, including archery tag, skating, an indoor play center, and more. The arcade is packed with games for all interests.
One of the best laser tag areas I've been too. It's massive and super fun. Good place to have a birthday party for lots of young kids, or just a Friday night out.

Highly recommend lessons with Chelsea, she was amazing. She was brilliant with my 7 yo granddaughter in teaching her the basics of rollerskating. They were free, all part of the experience, and she was so easy to speak with. I'm just so grateful for her assistance. We're coming back Thursday. We came back Thursday and seriously, Chelsea needs a raise. She went beyond, and my granddaughter loves her. She helped many children to gain confidence and as far as I'm concerned, she's worth her weight in gold. Definite recommend.
Lelly B — Google review
Myself and my partner went roller skating on a Saturday night for the 6:30-9pm session. It was a fun date night but the whole place was very quiet for a Saturday night. The pricing for a skating session was super reasonable. Although we didn't eat I did have a look at the food/cafe menu and there was a lot to choose from. I just think there could be a little more variety in the music and the whole place could do with an upgrade as it feels a bit dated. Overall it was a good night though.
Mikaela T — Google review
The kids loved the go-kart track and Dodgems. A little secret is that I loved them too. A must visit if you have kids or don't.
Rob — Google review
Thanks to Emily who was so helpful when I arrived at the Dodger cars as an older lady to use the dodgem cars with my grand daughter and great grandson. Emily helped me get up the ramp and then let me lean on her shoulder to get back down. She was very understanding. The staff at the front counter treated my grandson with kindness and were most obliging. .

We recently took our son for his 16th birthday. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and made our day! We had a blast 😍. Thank you all and to old mate who sorted us out in laser tag, lovely staff!

This has to be one of the better fun parks I have been to. Very happy and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a family race around the go kart track and it was great fun. Everything worked well and the carts were well maintained. We are looking forward to going again. The roller skating was very big and in great condition. The hire roller skates were very good condition. The roller skates were more worn out but still comfortable. The hot food was made fresh and was good quality.
Julian D — Google review
Went a few years back, it took about 10-20 minutes to get in due to the long line. Although the place was very spacious, filled with fun activites. I would absolutely reccomend it to people with kids. they'd have a great time!

One of the hidden and peaceful place to do glamping near to Melbourne. Just 1 hour drive… under the stars it’s is my favourite place to be. A perfect time to reflect our blessings and seek out ways to make life better for those around us. Real value for money and amazing host. Will definitely go there again and again.

I have happened to find turkey dih here. I strongly condemn you to not visit. Although, it still tasted delectable .
Mason L — Google review
It is a really nice lake for jet skiing and fishing. Not too far from Melbourne, around 2 hours drive.
Khanh T — Google review
We along with many others took the opportunity in early October 2022 to watch history in the making as Lake Eppalock started flowing over the spillway for the first time in about 6 years. The normally empty visitor car park was full to capacity as everyone made their way to a vantage point to watch the water rushing over the spillway. It was a really magic sight to see this spectacle and the lake spring to life.

Throughout the process Kristy was: - easily contactable - transparent and honest - a strong and reasonable advocate for us as the sellers - comprehensive knowledge of the current market - a hard worker who was determined to have our property sold by a deadline which was achieved. - a great manager and highly reliable. We would not hesitate to use Kristy at Belle Property for any future sales and thank Kristy and her team for making this sale smooth and stress free.

I recently purchased a investment house with belle property, and overall, it was a very positive experience. Tim, Kristy and Alidia was professional, responsive, and guided me through the process smoothly. Negotiations went well, and the paperwork was handled efficiently. The property matched the description, and there were no unexpected issues. I highly recommend them.
Sejin A — Google review
Amazing experience finding a rental property with Alidia and Lily from Belle Property Bendigo in a tough market. While other agents treated applicants like a number, Alidia was friendly, professional, available and lovely. Lily made the administration side of things seamless. Highly recommend and will be using Belle Property to manage future investment properties in the region.
Natalie R — Google review
Concerned about data privacy... We reached out to Belle as potential agents a year ago, when we were looking to sell our house. We didn't end up going with them as they undervalued our property quite significantly, and are happy that the agent we did select sold it for the price they valued it at. The agent who initially came out to see us was friendly enough, but didn't make us feel like they would have time for us due to our location being a little more remote and the undervaluing of the house. However, the main reason for this review is a concern over data privacy. I have received emails that are clearly supposed to be internal to an external gmail address. The first time this happened, I thought it was a one off and let it go, but after a repeat occurrence I am concerned about the practices in play that would allow sales information to be sent externally and feel it warrants a public disclosure. The response from them when I replied to let them know that it had occurred, and that I was deleting the emails for security on my side, was quite dismissive.
Chloe A — Google review
I recently bought a property through Belle property. I organised a day to inspect it with Tim and when I arrived at the property it was evident that no notice had been given to the owners and wasn’t able to see it which was disappointing considering I had driven down from Melbourne and taken the day off work. I messaged Tim after this and he completely ignored me, no apologies or anything. Beyond unprofessional. The rest of the team at Belle property were otherwise friendly and easy to deal with however.
T S — Google review
I've had my property managed by Alidia at Belle Property for around 4 years now and I couldn't recommend them more. The personal service has been exceptional, issues followed up quickly and most importantly I am given the peace of mind that my property is being well looked after for me, enabling me to be able to get on with my life.
Pat T — Google review
I leased my property through Belle Property for over 2 years now. The service has been excellent, thorough and professional. I am confident my property is being well looked after thanks to the great team at Belle Property. I highly recommend Belle Property if you looking for a leasing agent.

Prices are very reasonable and the knowledge of having a company who has a quick turnaround time of around a couple of hours for repairs is highly reassuring.

DDS is a service we have used at our church in Kangaroo Flat for some time. What I so appreciated in this most recent engagement with them is that Larry actually reached out to us, seeing the plan we were currently on and confident that a newer printer and new plan would actually be a blessing and benefit to us, proving cheaper and more efficient. And indeed, it has proved to be so. What a great client-focus, when, instead of just letting you pay extra into their accounts, they are proactive to make sure you are on the best plan for your needs! So, thanks DDS and, yes, I am very happy to recommend your business to anyone!

DDS have been so easy to work with from the beginning! Larry popped in to see me, and after discussing our printing needs put together a proposal to take care of everything, and I was pleasantly surprised how cost effective it was.
