The Palace of Parliament is a colossal building and international conference center with an ornate interior. It was constructed in a traumatic transformation for the city, leading to the destruction of churches, homes, and displacement of families. This mega construction dreamt up by late dictator Nicolae Ceausescu is considered the heaviest building in the world, using massive amounts of steel, marble, and sand sourced locally.
This place is a must if you’re visiting Romania. The scale is unbelievable and the rooms are stunning. The only downside was our tour guide, who spoke more about herself than the building. I’d have preferred more focus on the architecture. Still, definitely worth seeing.
JUNE S — Google review
The Romanian Parliament it's a wonder of the world. The heavies building in the world and the second biggest administration building in the world after the Pentagon. Inside you will be fascinated by the architecture and luxury of the rooms, halls and chandeliers. Ones of the biggest and most beautiful in the world. I highly recommend it to visit! I recommend not to by tickets in advance, buying from the entrance it's the best thing you can do!
Alexandru S — Google review
This visit you must include in your itinerary for Bucharest! Fascinating facts about a larger-than-life dictator's house will put your life in perspective. Absolutely ensure this tour. Do not forget your passport! Tickets are only sold in the building.
Dmitry L — Google review
The Palace of Parliament is one of those sights everyone should probably see when visiting Bucharest. The sheer size of the building is impressive, and then inside is a maze of one large marble floored room after another. Note their is a number of security check points to get on a tour, scanners and passport/ID checks. We had an English speaking guide who was very knowledgeable and also brought his own funny wit to the tour. Total tour is about an hour
Matthew S — Google review
I highly recommend buying tickets in advance, as visits are guided and limited to a specific time and number of people. The tour was both interesting and informative - our guide shared a lot of details about the building. The Parliament features beautiful rooms, stunning staircases, and a variety of marble throughout. Being one of the largest parliament buildings in the world, it’s definitely a must-see if you’re spending time in Bucharest.
Keti U — Google review
Tua building is surely impressive, the inside even more. The price for a 1 hour visit from ver the top. The guide was good and it’s worth while visiting but still, pricy.
Tim H — Google review
A really nice building to visit but IMPORTANT BOOK A TOUR BEFORE HAND or you have a great chance that you can not visit. Also security is like at the airport so passportand is needed and no liquidsare allowed inside. But it is a really magnificent building with a lot of different palace styles you can see. Really recommend to see it, it also has a souvenir shop.
Demonic M — Google review
This is a must-have visit when you are in town. There are many local resources used to built this extraordinary building but also the history is quite interesting to hear. Sad to know that the cost is high but the full extent is not used. The tour gives you 7% of the whole building but still enough to see the major ballrooms and conference rooms that are unique for this building. This building offer many one of a kind and world records so highly recommend to see it with your own eyes. We did not do any pre-work, thus we managed to book the time slot on spot, wait 2h and came back. There is a security check (no liquids, can buy after entering) into the building and then ID check once the guided tour starts. There is no possibility to wander around alone. I actually had a positive experience, especially thanks to the guide (man, under 30ties, laid back, sarcastic humour and attentive). Unfortunately cannot remember the name of the guide but highly recommend him. For fellow pregnant ladies, we did total over 100 stairs which was not bad at all. Buy water and bring it with you of visiting on a hot summer day.

Marina
Bucharest Herăstrău Park, home to the oldest man-made lake in the city, offers a 7.4-kilometer scenic path along its banks. The park features magnificent cypress trees, numerous cafes and restaurants, playgrounds for children, and sports grounds including old-school workout equipment. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk around the lake or engage in activities like cycling, kayaking, and canoeing.
This park is an absolute gem in the heart of Bucharest! Perfect for a peaceful walk, family outings, or a boat ride on the lake. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with beautiful nature and wide paths that are ideal for walking or biking. The boat station is a fun highlight and adds a special charm. There are also playgrounds for kids and plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the view. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bucharest!

This park is Bucharest's equivalent of Central Park in New York. It's a green space that hosts important biodiversity for the city. It's also a popular spot for family outings, with playgrounds, sports facilities, and some of the best restaurants and clubs in town. The park is quite expansive and serves as a little oasis within the city.

A huge lake with a scenic path along the bank. There are many magnificent swamp green cypresses on the bank. You'll find many good cafes & restaurants here, playgrounds for children, sports grounds. One of the sports ground very old, iron & tough, especially for workout men & women) Only horizontal bar, ladder, rope with knots & pylon(look at it in the last photo)!!! A very good place for running in hot weather, because you are running all distance along the bank with beautiful landscape and in a shadow of trees.
Дмитрий У — Google review
The biggest park in Bucharest! We have enjoyed strolling throughout the park. One may choose to avail the bike rentals but be careful as the bike lanes are allotted in between pedestrian lanes. There are plenty of kiosks to buy local and commercial ice creams, baked goods and drinks. Likewise many restaurants to choose from. Nice view by the lake definitely! It can be crowded in the evening as many families spend time here. Some part of the park requires better maintenance otherwise really beautiful. You can rent a private paddling boat or just buy a ticket for 15 Lei for a 25 minute boat ride like we did because the weather was too hot. You'll better appreciate the place with this short boat tour but no audio guide available. We had late lunch at a big and busy restaurant calles Beraria. There are oftentimes a big event happening here during summer. Though we were surprised how the staffs acted efficiently and they all spoke fluent English as communication for locals was a huge problem in many places. We spend time here pleasurably by visiting at the last moment the the National village museum located also just near the park. An entrance fee of 15 lei for adults. We went there about 1hr before closing time (19:00) which is not enough. Better allot about 2 to 2.5 hours when visiting this museum. Worth the visit!
Ceasar C — Google review
Best park of the city beautiful views a lake in the middle you can enjoy the whole day there nice restaurants and coffee shops also you can take big walks or rent a bicycle 🚳
Christos T — Google review
Beautiful lush green park. Here you can enjoy cycle ride, kayak and kanu in the lake, enjoy local snacks in different stalls and also enjoy food and music in the Hard Rock cafe...so many activity you can here...actually very good place.

The Church of the "Stavropoleos" Monastery, located in Bucharest's old center, is a nunnery with a rich history dating back to 1724. The monastery features stunning hand-painted frescoes and embodies the Romanian Brancovenesc architectural style, blending late Renaissance, Byzantine, Ottoman, and Baroque influences. Visitors can soak in the serene atmosphere and relax in the charming courtyard.
A must visit if you’re in old town. This church was built in the early 18th century. A service was in progress when I went. It was too crowded to go inside. Make sure you take a peak at the small interior court in the back where there are funerary stones.
Melanie E — Google review
Visiting the Stavropoleos Monastery was like stepping gently into another time. The moment I entered, I felt as though I was almost touching the past, a feeling very similar to walking the sacred streets of Jerusalem. The silence, the intricate stone and wood carvings, and the soft light all create an atmosphere of deep peace and reverence. It’s a small place, but filled with immense spiritual energy. A true jewel of Bucharest, where history, faith, and beauty come together in harmony.
Inna V — Google review
Tucked away in the bustling old part of town … And I dare to say it like that because we passed from afar at least 3-4 times 🙄🤪🤭😂 Anyway, the Stavropoleos Monastery is a serene escape in the center of town. It was build in 1724. It is a tiny Orthodox church with incredible stone carvings and a peaceful courtyard that feels worlds away from the city’s chaos. Inside, the stones, frescoes and green create a peaceful atmosphere while they whisper stories of resilience. The monastery is small but it radiates quiet strength and harmony. A true hidden gem in a vibrant city.
Ingrid ! — Google review
This small monastery is one of the most beautiful and spiritual places in Bucharest. Built in 1724, the architecture is simply stunning — intricate details, stone carvings, and frescoes that reflect centuries of faith and artistry. The peaceful courtyard and the gentle chanting inside create a moment of calm amid the city’s bustle. I highly recommend visiting for anyone who wants to feel a true sense of Romanian spirituality and history.
Nicolae B — Google review
A very peaceful place in the middle of Old Town Bucharest. Nice to sit in the garden arra with birds chirping and less city noise. The church interior is calm and pretty with live singing when I visited.
Katherine H — Google review
A Sanctuary of Art and History in Bucharest Nestled within the lively and often bustling streets of Bucharest's historic Old Town, there is a beautiful and serene sanctuary that stands as a stunning contrast to the city's energy. This is the Stavropoleos Monastery Church, a true hidden gem that feels like a discovery the moment you find its peaceful courtyard. From the outside, the church is an absolute masterpiece of the Brâncovenesc architectural style, a unique Romanian blend of Renaissance and Byzantine elements. Built in the early 18th century, its façade is a tapestry of intricate stone carvings and delicate floral motifs that are astonishing in their detail. The graceful columns and beautiful arches of the entrance are a testament to the skill of the artisans who crafted this stunning monument. It's a building that invites you to pause and appreciate the quiet beauty of its design before you even step inside. The feeling of awe only deepens within its walls. The interior, while not large, is overwhelmingly beautiful and feels rich with centuries of history. Almost every surface is covered in magnificent frescoes that glow with a soft light. The space is a symphony of colors and intricate details, with every scene and figure meticulously painted. The atmosphere is further enhanced by the peaceful scent of incense and the hushed tones of visitors, creating a profound sense of quiet reverence. The surrounding monastery courtyard is just as essential to the experience as the church itself. It's a peaceful, enclosed space with a beautiful cloister and a small garden, offering a moment of quiet reflection away from the energetic streets. This peaceful haven is home to a library that holds a fascinating collection of old books and manuscripts, adding another layer of historical depth to the visit. The Stavropoleos Monastery Church is more than just a place of worship; it is an immersive experience that leaves a lasting impression. It's an absolute must-see for anyone who appreciates breathtaking art, a deep sense of history, and a tranquil escape from the urban hustle.
Shanit R — Google review
A must stop during a walk through the old town. The church itself was totally packed during our visit, but I think the main jewelry is the inner courtyard and its impressive, old architecture. Even when experiencing it with other visitors, you can feel the history and peace the place beams. So beautifully built & kept, and the nature and trees around complete the beautiful experience.
Anni T — Google review
Stavropoleos Church was built in 1724 as a chapel for a nearby inn. Many locals consider it the most beautiful church in Bucharest. It features beautiful paintings and icons, and a small garden.

Museums
The Romanian National Museum of Art is home to a world-class collection of Romanian art, from medieval to modern times. The museum's European galleries contain works by some of the greatest names in art history, such as Lucas Cranach the Elder and Jan van Eyck. The museum also houses a rich collection of Romanian medieval art and modern Romanian art.
The Romanian Art Gallery (last building) is absolutely amazing. The quality and quantity is impressive. I recommend you give that part 2-3h. Everything is well lit and if you also visit the throne rooms, you will remain stunned. It's worth giving a full day to this museum or at least 6h.
Stefania C — Google review
I visited the whole museum, and had a great opportunity because the day i went there the tickets were free. Everywhere there are cloakrooms to leave your bag or coat. The collection is nice and for discovering everything (not perfectly but for me it was enough) you’ll need few hours. A great place to discover romanian culture and history
Ian — Google review
It is really nice. I went on the first Wednesday of a month, so the entire thing was free! I really liked the outdoor statuary and the temporary exhibits; but everything was great. Staff friendly, impeccably clean.
C K — Google review
The National Museum of Art in Bucharest was one of the highlights of my visit. The building itself feels royal from the moment you enter, especially when you reach the Throne Hall – it’s grand, elegant, and gives you a real sense of Romanian monarchy and history. The hall is beautifully preserved and feels like stepping back in time. The art galleries are well organized, with both Romanian and European paintings. I liked that many pieces have explanations in English, which helped me understand the background and influences of the artists. It wasn’t crowded when I went, so I could take my time in each room and enjoy the atmosphere without rushing. One of the most interesting parts for me was the carpets exhibition. It’s something unique – large historical carpets with beautiful patterns and colors, some from royal collections. You can really see the craftsmanship and how important textiles were in Romanian culture. The museum is quiet, peaceful, and perfect for anyone who enjoys history, architecture, or classical art. It’s not a quick visit – you should plan at least two hours to really see everything. I recommend coming early in the day to have it almost to yourself. Bring some patience, as there are multiple sections and you may need to follow a route, but it’s worth it. Overall, a fascinating look into Romanian art and royal heritage, especially the Throne Hall and the impressive carpet collection.
Yishai C — Google review
Great and diverse collection of Romanian, European and Oriental artworks. Very rich if collection of Japanese, Indian, even Middle Eastern arts. Those Samurai and swords are a must see
Akintunde B — Google review
Visited on a weekday & it was easy going with less crowd traffic. Although the museum looks beautiful upon entry with a nice garden of statues, the interiors of the building look aged & tired. Most of the artwork are intriguing. There were quite a few with artists that remain anonymous, which lends some mystery to those paintings. The building is old so the ventilation is poor so be aware that a couple rounds of the exhibits will have you sweating bullets. Keep hydrated & be sure to have a small meal before arriving.
Christine D — Google review
huge gallery with lots of things to be seen and highly appreciated! the way how the artworks are being displayed to the public shows how professional, strict and appreciative towards art the staff are. i would recommend visiting after having a nice meal since the museum expands into several buildings and you wouldn’t want to go there while being tired. it’s a must visit!!!
Hamy N — Google review
Very nice building located in the center of Bucharest where several other Romania architectural masterpieces found. Unlike officially declared on Google, the ticket is 80 lei and not 4 euro. The exhibitions inside are nice but not as marv3llous and rich as in some other european museums. The king palace chanbers are very nice.

The National Museum of Romanian History is a must-visit in Bucharest, offering an extensive collection of historical artifacts that provide insight into the country's rich heritage. Spanning 8,000 square meters and approximately 60 exhibition rooms, the museum showcases archaeological evidence dating back to the Paleolithic era and delves into the material and spiritual culture of the Geto-Dacians.
Gorgeous treasury definitely worthy visiting if you're in this touristic part of Bucharest. Vast exposition of golden and fine stones jewelry from previous centuries. Only 10 lei per ticket. Staff very nice.
Alexander P — Google review
A must-visit for anyone interested in Romanian history! The staff at the ticket counter are friendly. The museum has some of the most important historical artifacts related to Romanian history. There are also excellent temporary exhibitions worth seeing. However, some of the interior staff, like security, seemed a bit unfriendly and rushed to close 10min early. Overall, this is a must-visit and highly recommended!
Victor A — Google review
greatly exponated museum with interactive features for its visitors! i loved the trajan’s column replica and the multimedia video for its history. the temporary exhibition was also interesting and the treasury was absolutely beautiful. the entrance fee was cheap and the employees were helpful and kind.
Hamy N — Google review
Very well maintained museum for a hot afternoon in Bucharest. This museum contains a lot about Romanian history, the collection is very broad and the placement is also well thought out. There was a decent amount of information available and especially the treasure room was really cool and interesting to see. For the price you cannot go wrong.
Marijn P — Google review
Great museum, with a very diverse collection. I went in the other day and it turned out to also be temporarily for free (from the very affordable ticket price in the first place). Definitely enjoyed visiting and got myself also a few beautiful souvenirs and a book from their shop, also at an affordable price.
Anelia K — Google review
The exhibit isn’t very large, and the English information signs are limited or unengaging. The replica of Trajan’s Column is fascinating, though it too could use more detailed explanations. Entry is 20 Lei per person.

Museum
The National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, housed in a grand 1941 building, showcases an extensive collection of folk costumes, ceramics, and icons that offer insight into Romanian culture. This museum is one of the notable representatives of traditional architecture in Bucharest. It stands alongside other architectural landmarks such as the Lahovari House, Central School, and Doina House. The museum provides a fascinating exploration of Romanian heritage within its stately walls.
Loved every minute of it! If you want to experience Romanian culture and embroidery, this is the place to visit. The museum shop is a true gem, and the restaurant is excellent as well.
Lana R — Google review
It is located in a very beautiful building that immediately catches your eye and makes you curious to see what's inside. Unfortunately, the interior did not meet my expectations, the collection was quite small compared to the building's impressive exterior and the name it carries. I hope they improve it in the future.
Kherota Y — Google review
This is a very good museum with lots to see but a few minor points. There are QR codes throughout the museum; however when you scan a code you come to a Romanian webpage with no translation opportunity. There were, however, information sheets in each of the rooms so that you could get some ideas about the items. But the QR codes were available on most items, which would have been useful. There were not many people in, and there was no queue.
Carol J — Google review
An adult ticket will cost you 20 RON. I visited on 05/10/25 and the top floor(s?) were closed because of apparent renovations. From what I was told, the upper section of the museum holds gold and other items from the National treasury, so it was a shame that it’s not open at the moment. On the ground floor there is a basic collection of various traditional things- icons, painted eggs, costumes, liturgical objects, and the remains of an abandoned church. On the exterior grounds there is another church and a few more structures to look at. Interestingly enough, on the side of the museum, you can see a very large mosaic which I suppose is a remnant from the Ceaușescu era. There is also a gift shop with many unique items, featuring racks upon racks of traditional handmade costumes for you to buy. Worth a look! All in all, even with the closures, I would say it is worth it for the 20 RON fee, and I enjoy contributing to a place that is focused on the preservation of this nation’s colorful history, culture and traditions.

If you are so lucky to visit Bucharest you MUST visit this museum. When you not only see, but appreciate that so many of the implements on display, the iconography artwork and crosses are HANDMADE by peasants, you will experience a life changing moment. The beauty, the talent, the love for values is breathtaking.

On Monday and Tuesday there are only six houses that are open so tickets are half price. Still enough to occupy you for a few hours. Lots of cats around which makes photos more interesting. Worth a visit.

A smaller museum with interesting cultural items showcasing average people. An interesting contrast to the National Palace (separate museum). Allow for two hours; good for adults 15+. Inexpensive.
Patrick T — Google review
Ultra-central location, impressive building. My expectation was to find many things belonging to the Romanian heritage, which would highlight the peasant traditions, the popular costume, In a word, to let you discover the Romanian peasant, his authenticity. Unfortunately, I discovered very few exhibits, in places an extremely abstract exhibition, instead of explanations for each exhibit, an A4 sheet with a story and some kind ladies who answered your questions. Also, it seemed completely absurd to me, to visit another exhibition, to leave the Central Museum, to go around the building, to enter a restaurant, and then to go up one floor to find the respective room...

Cismigiu Gardens is a serene and picturesque English-style park in Bucharest, offering a peaceful retreat with its tree-filled landscapes, a charming lake, and a delightful rose garden. It's one of the city's must-visit attractions alongside iconic landmarks like the Palace of Parliament and the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum. The park provides an ideal setting for leisurely strolls along its winding paths, scenic ponds, and numerous seating areas.
Really nice park. Went there a few times on my holiday. The pedalo was very reasonably priced at 10 lei (£1.70) for 30 mins. There was also a nice ice-cream/drinks cafe next to the pedalo office where we enjoyed some drinks overlooking the lake.

This is a lovely park! Lots of shaded paths and benches. There’s a charming little waterfall with a little pond in the middle where you can rent paddle and row boats. There’s an epic playground for kids. There are a number of places where you can stop for a coffee, some food and snacks (including ice cream). Great spot to kill some time on a hot day.

Small but beautiful Orthodox cathedral. Finely decorated both inside and outside. Definitely worth a visit if you pass by the center of the city. The cathedral is only 5 mins walk from the main square (bus and metro stops). Free entry and no ticket required. There are no panels explaining the images but you can google it and understand part of the cycles of frescoes both on the interior and exterior walls. Also, the square in front of it is a very quiet and peaceful place (closed to traffic).

I.O.R. Park, also known as Parcul Alexandru Ioan Cuza or Titan Park, is a large and beautiful park located in Sector 3 of Bucharest. It is a popular destination for both outdoor enthusiasts and families with children due to its picturesque lake featuring five small islands, a charming wooden church, playgrounds, and various sports facilities.
I grew up in this park! The man-made lake is big and well maintained, offering multiple bridges to cross and get that perfect IG pic! You can jog on the soft jogger’s path along the lake, walk through the many walkable paths, let the kids play in one of the many play areas, admire exotic birds in the maintained pen, pop into Park Lake Mall for a coffee or some shopping, and more. It’s truly a beautiful park.

Absolutely stunning park! The perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. The walking trails are well-maintained, the green spaces are beautiful, and there are plenty of benches to sit and take in the peaceful atmosphere. It’s also great for families, with clean playgrounds and picnic areas. Whether you’re going for a morning jog or just a quiet afternoon, this park is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!

Nice place to relax, playgrounds for kids, playground for dogs, dedicated track for jogging (not usable during the busy days), large lake in the middle, new fountains . Difficult to be reached and to enjoy for the people in a manual wheelchair ...works well for those in electric wheelchairs as there are tracks on different elevation levels connected with stairs or the alkey has a high gradient.

It is the cleanest and well-maintained park in Bucharest in my opinion. It has a lake, greenery, trees, birds, benches, dustbins and free toilets. It's a wonderful park!
Pop M — Google review
One of the really nice places I visited in Bucharest was Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park and honestly I didn’t expect it to be this peaceful and beautiful. If you want to walk relax or just clear your mind this is the spot. There’s a big lake inside the park that gives the whole place a calming vibe. I walked around it the full loop is around 4 km so it’s perfect if you want a one hour walk. You don’t feel the time at all because you’re surrounded by nature the whole way. What caught my attention were the fountains in the middle of the lake. They’re simple but add a nice touch especially when the sunlight hits the water. You’ll also see a lot of ducks and turtles just chilling by the lake or swimming around. It really gives life to the park and makes it feel like you’re walking through something more than just trees and pathways. The park is full of green spaces big trees small bridges and quiet benches. Whether you’re alone or with someone it’s just a good place to sit down and enjoy. What I liked is that it’s not too crowded even on weekends. You see families people jogging walking dogs but it’s still calm. If you’re in Bucharest and looking for a chill place to walk have coffee or just disconnect from the city noise I’d definitely recommend this park. It’s one of those hidden gems that’s not always on the tourist list but gives you a real feel of the city’s peaceful side. Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park simple clean relaxing you’ll enjoy it for sure.

It's a great place to roam around or just seat on grass or hang a hammock and relax. The park is really clean. And adding the fountain at the Lake as it's new night attraction. It's very close to where I leave and comes here with my son almost everyday. The only this missing is to have more proper Toilets around the park. Overall its a great place to spend with friends or family.

The park features generous walkways for walking, cycling, and rollerblading as well as playgrounds for children. Visitors can admire important monuments such as the Mausoleum housing fallen soldiers from World War II and the Roman Arenas.
It's an amazingly placid park full of greenery a conventional Bucharest park with lake view lots of trees to sit under. Bellu Cemetery, an 1800s landmark in Bucharest, is often compared to Paris' Pere Lachaise Cemetery. It serves as the final resting place for numerous renowned Romanians, including writers and actors. Visitors flock to see the tombs of national poet Mihai Eminescu and singer Maria Tanase. The cemetery's ornate marble monuments depict tragic or romantic tales, such as the Poroineanu family's tombstone narrating a story of forbidden love.
It was such a bad experience to see how some of the biggest Romanian artists, writers, singers, and popular personalities have the worst graves. I strongly recommend a guided tour.

Definitely worth visiting on a guided tour, one like free tours is highly recommended. Although it dates back only to 1800, it holds a rich and intriguing history of Bucharest, some of its prominent figures, legends and most interestingly architectural treasures for fans of architecture, especially what they call it New Roman style. The contrast between rich and poor is very évident, though.

The area has a very dark and sad history and not only for the ordinary reasons, also because of how some people has been handle by others. You can get a lot of special photos and videos there. The Central University Library, Carol I, is a historic building on the grounds of Carol University in Bucharest. It was founded in 1895 and rebuilt after the 1989 Revolution. The library has a diverse collection of Romanian and international books, as well as reading rooms for students.
Went here during noaptea muzeelor not knowing that this was a library. It was really nice, they offered english tour and was amazed on how big and classic the libraries were. The statue of King Carol I stands proudly in the middle of the Palace Square, in front of the beautiful building bearing on the frontispiece the King’s name: “Fundatiunea Universitara Carol I”, “Carol I University Foundation”. Preoccupied with increasing the quality of education at all levels, in 1891, with the occasion of 25 years of his reign, King Carol I decided to create a library to be used by university students. “Choosing Ourselves the place of the future building, We wanted it to rise close to Our residence, under Our eyes and protection” The King revealed in a letter addressed to the Prime Minister (“alegând Noi Înşine locul viitoarei clădiri, am vroit ca ea să se ridice aproape de reşedinţa Noastră, sub ochii şi sub ocrotirea Noastră”). The King and the Queen personally donated a large part of the initial book endowment of the library. The Library was heavily damaged during the events of the December 1989 Revolution, when the roof was engulfed by fire. Thousands of manuscripts and rare books of inestimable value perished. Rehabilitation of the building and of the damaged books, records and collections lasted more than 10 years, and the official reopening took place in 2001.The building houses today the Central University Library of Bucharest, a cultural institution of European level.

The Theodor Pallady Museum, located within the historic Casa Melik in Bucharest, is a charming villa that showcases the largest collection of paintings and drawings by the renowned Romanian artist. An all-encompassing experience as the house itself is a piece of art, and also the oldest livable residence in Bucharest. Very clean and intuitively arranged exhibits, ranging from paintings to ancient collectibles, in separate rooms with diverse themes. Văcărești Nature Park, the first urban nature park in Romania, was established in 2016 through the efforts of the Văcărești Nature Park Association. Situated just five kilometers from downtown Bucharest, this protected lakeland spans 183 hectares and features walking paths and observation hides for birdwatching. The park's creation involved reclaiming land that had been abandoned after a Communist-era hydro-technic project.

I don’t know what to think of this place along with the city of Bucharest. It feels like you’re in a nuclear war zone, like a scene in The Last of Us. It doesn’t seem maintained like a park and it was really dry when we went at the end of the summer. I couldn’t tell it was a delta. That’s all a summary of what people have said in their reviews… but I realized this is what people miss: 🌾 It’s not meant to be a classic recreational park and more an area for natural exploration 🌾 Unique landscape in the middle of the city 🌾 Wild birds, reptiles and other rare species 🌾 If you’re into apocalyptic landscapes this place is a gold mine It may not be for everyone but after traveling to 31 countries, I can confirm this is truly a unique thing to see in a city. It’s definitely something that could belong in Atlas Obscura. It really could use some better facilities like a nice stairway though.

I used to come here with my family 30 years ago and is so nice to see that this area has escape untouched by the modern times of “erase nature and grow buildings”. You can walk, you can ride your bike,is nice and peaceful and full of life.

Disaster to wonder about a good walk in a natural fauna. No one looks after the area. Silent.. nowhere to sit and see a view. Interesting and sad to see that a beautiful area with concrete plates.. why these concrete plates here?! No need to come here and experience, may be for observing birds matches the needs.

I did a nice walk on the paths, you also have some information panels with the wild life form the park! And 2 beautiful observation points from where you have a 360 degree view to observe the birds! I recommend to have a binocular, like that you will have a nicer experience!

The Dimitrie Brândză Botanical Garden in Bucharest is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts. This stunning garden boasts an impressive collection of over 10,000 plant species, including rare and exotic varieties. Visitors can explore landscaped gardens, waterfalls, and vast greenhouses filled with a diverse array of plants. The garden also features aquatic plants, outdoor tropical flora, and species from hot regions.
Loved walking around the garden, it’s super calm and green, perfect for a slow afternoon. The greenhouse was really cool. Some parts felt a bit wild, but honestly, that added to the charm. Great place to chill or take nice photos!

Overall its nice place, Not the best botanical garden but lovely. You can have some nice pictures near the pond (my wife has those pictures). I also recommend to buy the juice from the orange machine it was very fresh and tasty.

Very nice, I suggest to visit if you came to Bucharest. Just for 3 € you can relax and enjoy nature, feed the ducks and see a lot of species of plants. The only thing is, I think the bathrooms are not so clean and overall they should take care of the little streets. Overall very beautiful!
Giulyontheroad — Google review
It’s an average botanical garden. Not the greatest I’ve visited, for sure. Signs were missing for some plants or were just wrong. It doesn’t have a great variety of plants either. I’ll have to come back in different seasons to give it another chance.
John F — Google review
Early August might not be the best time to visit the Botanical Garden in Bucharest… Almost everything was quite dry and poorly maintained. Compared to the Botanical Garden in Cluj, unfortunately this one is quite disappointing. ⚠️The ticket prices are divided by sections and only available for purchase at the entrance (where no one mentions that there are multiple sections you can visit…) or online. Adult entry 15 lei, museum 15 lei, greenhouses 15 lei… (Cluj 16 lei for everything) I could also talk about the security staff at the entrance… but better not.” The best thing we saw were the fish in the greenhouse.
Burghelea O — Google review
I am extremely disappointed with this botanical garden. The roads are bumpy and poorly maintained, and most of the flowers are dead. There is almost nothing to see, yet the ticket price is charged as if it were worth visiting – it is absolutely not. The benches look like they are from the last century and are tied together just so you can sit on them. There is a serious lack of toilets and basic facilities. I expected an educational and enjoyable experience for children, but instead, they learned nothing. This place feels abandoned and neglected, and it gets worse and worse over time. Definitely not worth a visit. ---
Pro C — Google review
We spent every day in this garden, the ticket for students is 2€ and it’s possible to pay by card. There are new clean toilets and even a little caffe shop with cakes

Spacious gardens. Planting areas and some specimens are identified. Plenty seating areas. Kiosk style cafe with limited selections. Easy to get there by bus. It was too hot to go in the glasshouse.

Jewish Museum Bucharest, located in the heart of the city, offers a captivating insight into the history, culture, and traditions of Romanian Jews. Housed in a former synagogue dating back to 1850, this museum showcases a valuable collection of artifacts, documents, and photographs that depict the Jewish community's contributions to Romanian society and its impact on the country's development.
Wonderful synagogue today being used as a museum about the history and culture of Romanian Jews. Wonderfully restored and greatly equipped! Be sure to visit when in Bucharest. The caretaker woman speaks excellent English and is super helpful!

The Museum of the History of the Romanian Jews was founded in 1978, at the initiative of Moses Rosen (back then, chief rabbi of the Jewish community in Romania), in a building declared a historical monument in 2004.
Cosmin C — Google review
This fascinating museum is located in the old synagogue of Bucharest, called the Templul Unirea Sfântă Synagogue. The museum reviews the development of the Jewish community in Romania over the years, and includes rare exhibits of ancient books, objects and various traditional items. There is an exhibition of items related to religion and ritual, which includes fascinating Judaica items from various times. There are also exhibitions related to the history of the Jewish people during the Holocaust and even tombstones from a destroyed Jewish cemetery. The "Ahdut HaKodesh" synagogue was first dedicated in 1852, was destroyed several times, and finally rebuilt in 1913. From the Second World War until 1978, the synagogue served as an active prayer place. In 1978 Rabbi Moshe Rosen decided to build the museum in question. Today, the building that houses the Museum of the History of Romanian Jewry in the name of Rabbi Dr. David Moshe Rosen is a conservation site as part of Romania's national heritage. The museum building covers an area of 305 square meters and includes a floor for women and a gallery for the choir in addition to the ground floor. The building is uniquely designed and the architectural design is fascinating. Moraine, Romanesque and Byzantium features can be seen. This synagogue is reminiscent of the Coral Synagogue, due to the height, splendor, arches of the arches and other features that testify to Hod with an emphasis on functionality. Opening hours: Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 to 13:00, Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00.

The Vasile Urseanu Astronomical Observatory in Bucharest is a historic building that offers exhibitions on space and features a terrace with telescopes for visitors to use. It provides an opportunity for both children and adults to observe stars, planets, and other celestial bodies through professional telescopes and high-quality astronomical instruments. Specialized guides are available to help visitors learn more about the cosmos and appreciate the beauty of the universe.
The museum part is very interesting, worth exploring while you wait for the scheduled telescope observations to start on the rooftop. It's better to avoid weekends because it can get really crowded. I recommend visiting on Mon-Fri instead. Pros: There are 3 telescopes and you can see different planets in our solar system (depending on the position and time) and it's not expensive. It's about 3 euro per adult. Cons: No clear schedule posted, you can go any time but the rooftop access only happens at specific hours. Last time, it was from 18:30. Still, only those who arrived at least 15 minutes earlier could join the session on the rooftop. Overall, it's quite a good experience, you'll see planets with your own eyes and learn new things from the interactive museum, with a gamified experience included.

They organized a day which was suppose to be open doors for the community! We stayed in line to enter about 1 hour and we decided to leave (horrible organization). Also to consider that this a location that majority of people came with children. To the leadership of this institution, don’t only take your salary and use your mental capabilities to organize these type of events properly!
Andre M — Google review
It is a nice experience if you want to do a different kind of activity. I recommend checking the website beforehand, they update there the planets or stars or whatever is the most impressive things to see on the sky in that week. They also give explanation on when they should arise and set, but depends on the day and weather though. It is a fun experience, I recommend it.
Alina M — Google review
Cash only. It's hard to buy online; the website lags. There's nothing interesting inside. The screens are all glitchy. They didn't let me look through the telescope. I'm disappointed.
Диванный Э — Google review
Interesting place but not a lot of value, no guide available. The fee is 15 lei.
D S — Google review
It was a fun experience, it's worth the 13 Lei ticket, I'll definitely visit again. I'm only giving 4 stars because it would have been nice to have the information also available in English, not just Romanian. As a tourist, looking at the pictures without context doesn't help either. Also, at the rooftop, the guide explained to us in Romanian but the tourists didn't understood much. He was a fine lad, cracking jokes, kept order among the children and explained quite well. Considering the fact that this is a museum, I find it funny how English is not available. I recommend buying the tickets online, at the observatory only cash transaction is available.
Pensi0nar — Google review
First thing: so crowded. We went on the 22nd of July 2023, Saturday, around 8:30 PM. Besides us, there were at least two more groups of 10-12 people and other 5-6 families with kids. People were still arriving. The house and the ones taking care of the organization can't adjust / handle this amount of people, yet. Some of the visitors left because of the heat and crowdedness, even if they already paid the ticket - 10 RON (full price). Some suggestions: especially on hot summer days or on already known-to-be crowded periods they should encourage people to buy tickets online and keep track of the numbers bought. This way more staff can be added to help organizing or to put a limit on the tickets. Also the climate inside can be adjusted properly. Until then it's a bit of a hustle to aqcuire the online tickets - their site redirects you to another site and you still have to search after in order to find tickets for this observatory. Now for the part that counts: There is a lot of info regarding our solar system and it is presented nicely, most of the info is on big screens & there is the English version, too. Some of the terminology was unfamiliar to me, but I searched on google. On the telescope I saw the moon 90 times bigger. This was amazing. Worth waiting from my point of view - there were a lot of points of view from our group :)) but mostly favorable. The man preparing us to look through the telescope was funny and gave good tips especially for parents with kids, so it made the waiting period more pleasant. I wish there was more time and less people in order to take the time to read in peace all that info. But I made photos, so I can read later. It is a fascinating place, up to date with the info. I wish the organization was better done and more ACs.

It always feels great when you find nature in the middle of the city. A quiet and chill place. It feels so even when you are at the park's margin and you might hear some cars or ambulance passing. Yes, full of people sometimes, but still can be found some peaceful time in nature.

A wild but a civilized place as well. Nice place for lunch by the lake!
Vik ( — Google review
The park is a veritable oasis of biodiversity, teeming with life in all its forms. Butterflies flit gracefully from flower to flower, their delicate wings shimmering in the dappled sunlight. Bees buzz busily amongst the blossoms, collecting nectar to fuel their hive. Squirrels scamper playfully along the forest floor, their bushy tails twitching with excitement as they forage for food. Everywhere I look, I am surrounded by the wonders of the natural world, each creature playing its part in the intricate tapestry of life. Also, at the heart of the park lies a shimmering pond, its surface rippling gently in the breeze. Ducks glide gracefully across the water, their sleek bodies leaving a trail of ripples in their wake. Fish dart beneath the surface, their silvery scales flashing in the sunlight. As I gaze out across the tranquil expanse of the pond, I am overcome by a sense of peace and contentment, grateful for the opportunity to escape the chaos of everyday life and reconnect with the natural world. PS. Perfect for taking your bike for a ride!

The gym offers a great selection of equipment and classes with a spacious layout and good ventilation. It provides a beautiful view over IOR park, making it an ideal spot for relaxation after a workout.
Very clean! The whole atmosphere is nice and friendly!

I have a message in my email that they will be opened on September 14. Two months for renovation, this is insane. And probably nothing will be changed. They are just saving money by closing some of the locations for “renovation”. Sauna in World Class ParkLake closed for a month for the same reason and nobody is there fixing anything.
Oleksii K — Google review
The staff is great, the gym is clean and spacious, and the atmosphere is nice and friendly. The biggest problem is the lack of investment in the equipment. If anything breaks it takes months until it's fixed: - the pulley from the corner is broken for about 4-5 months now, no exageration - it took about 2-3 months to fix the hamstring curl machine - the adductor machine is broken 90% of time (right now it's broken) - the legpress is broken for about a month now - there are not enough handles - there are not enough carabiners, you have to steal it from other machines.. if you have the chance They did not buy any new machine in more than 4 years.

The National Library of Romania is an excellent place to study, as it is always quieter than a typical library and has good air conditioning to keep you comfortable. If you have AirPods, you'll appreciate their noise cancelling capabilities.
I’ve been to this library a few times and I love it! I’ve came here to get out of the house and get some work done. The library staff is very nice. There is PLENTY of space. I believe there are 4 floors, all with seating and desk space to get work done and FREE WIFI. The best times to go are early morning or late night as the college kids pack it out through mid-late afternoon. I have never checked a book out or looked through the book selections, so unfortunately I can’t speak on that experience. I’ve also came here to view an exhibition or two and the library doesn’t disappoint when it comes to setting up their exhibitions. Very spacious, well lit and engaging. I recommend that if you are in Bucharest, that you visit the National Library. It’s worth it for sure! 👍

A real shame. This modern, bright, spacious building has fallen into plain old neglect. Half of the restrooms are locked and unusable, there usually isn't a single toilet paper roll to be found, the light bulbs are half dead across the entire space, it's incredibly cold, it's dusty and unclean (black mold on walls - see the photos), and the few good chairs could use some cleaning - their stained blue velvet looks like prime real estate for bed bugs. And to think we have to pay for the privilege of studying in such conditions.
Ana T — Google review
A very wonderful and calm place to read and study. The staff are friendly and even now during the covid19, they do their best to make sure everything is under control. There are plenty of seats available on all the storeys. Single, double as well as ones suitable for group work. It is important to register and get a magnetic card to be able to access the library whenever needed. However, be aware of the fact that some new regulations are being implemented at the moment,e.g. new fees for validating or renewing your old card. No stress, the highest fee is 50 RON. Unfortunately,THEY DONT DO C.CARDS OVER THERE , GET YOUR CASH ALONG EITH YOU!You can just keep your old card and get it validated (a one-time process) for only 20 RON. I know that this used to be totally free of charge in the past, but they do need some extra budget to cover some expenses that the current pandemic brought up. Wearing a mask is kind of mandatory when you walk between desks, coming inside or going outside(they do care about it so much so you aren't allowed in if you don't wear a mask. Or if your temp is higher than the normal) Also, be advised that you need to get your own food, lunch or snakes. The vending machines are way too expensive than the normal ones even! I don't know why they do that to students all the time :) there are enough restrooms for everyone. Special places where you can have lunch or a short break. Opening hours are flexible from 8 - 8 during week days and 9 to 6 on Saturday, CLOSED ON SUNDAYS. I wish they could last for a bit longer though. Like around 12 am or sth. That I would appreciated very much. Finally, try not to stay on the basement floor all the time, you will lose the wonderful view on the upper floor, and it is a chance not to miss. Hope this helps.

One of the nicer parks in the city! The nice weather made the visit even nicer. There are plenty of places to sit and two places for kids to play. The only thing is that the trail is blocked off due to construction or something.
Cecil W — Google review
Very quiet place. Not many people visit it since it is very close to the more popular Herastrau (now known as King Mihai I). It has a quite large playground for kids.
Legion1100 S — Google review
It is not big park on the bank of lake Floreasca and not far from the Arcul de Triumf(Triumphal Arch), and 6 minutes from the House of Ceausescu. It is cosy too))) You can find many benches along the green alleys, some children grounds(one with the rubber cover). There is also a sports ground with different trainers in the open air. The asphalt paths are in good condition, WCs, bike rental. In the autumn, when the Indian summer has come and the air is clear, you get the full relax reading the book here or putting your thoughts in order)))

King Mihai I Park, also known as Herastrau Park, is a sprawling green space covering approximately 190 hectares in north-central Bucharest. It surrounds the picturesque Lake Herastrau and offers a variety of attractions for both locals and tourists. The park features charming lakeside cafes and restaurants, making it a popular destination for leisurely strolls and outdoor dining.
Really nice, very large park. Has a big pond/lake that you can rent boats, or take a ride on their tourist boat. Lots of different trails around. Many different monuments/busts of famous people scattered throughout the park. Lots of benches and shady spots to rest.
N M — Google review
this is such a lovely park, but many areas look neglected. We spent about 4 hours on Wednesday morning walking around, sitting by the lake and exploring the village museum which is connected to the park. There were a few people walking, running, and fishing. Also some people selling crafts or snacks. Overall, it is a very quiet relaxing time at big city park.
B N — Google review
The biggest park in Bucharest. The alleys in some sections are literally breaking, most clearly noticed by those who choose to ride bicycles. In other places, the banks are about to collapse, this is best seen in winter when there is no water in the lake. I expect this park to be managed soon by an involved person who will bring out its true potential, through some very necessary and urgent changes and consolidations, which will highlight the charm that this place has.
Alexandru P — Google review
Autumn at its best, lakeside views, boating, saw Osage orange trees, turtles; Hard Rock cafe and multiple stalls selling a variety of foods (we had fresh orange juice and corn). You can relax and unwind the whole day. Close to Arc De Triumph.

Eroilor Park, located in the heart of the city, is a tranquil oasis offering lush greenery and peaceful pathways. It is a small but significant area where several boulevards converge, making it an important spot in the city. The park's well-maintained facilities make it ideal for picnics, leisurely walks, and unwinding amidst nature's beauty. Despite some ongoing construction, this charming park seamlessly integrates art installations and recreational areas.
New renovated park, near to the Municipal Hospital. Access to the subway and buses. Good place to rest a bit. Small, clean and tidy!

Eroilor Park is a hidden gem in the city! The landscaping is absolutely outstanding — every path, tree, and flowerbed is perfectly arranged and maintained with care. The entire park is incredibly clean, including the toilets, which are spotless and very well kept (a rare find!). You can clearly see the dedication of those who maintain it. It’s a peaceful, relaxing place for a walk, a jog, or just enjoying nature with family. Safe, serene, and beautifully designed — a model park that sets the standard! Highly recommended.
Dragos C — Google review
Eroilor park offers a decent outdoor space. However, there is nothing to do, except for a small Café and benches all around the park. The space could offer so much more. How about a playground? How about a fun bike track for kids, that we see in other parks? It's a bit boring, but we are glad it's there.

Bicycle rental service
I'Velo Relax Herăstrău is located in the largest park in Bucharest, spanning 187 hectares and surrounding Herastrau Lake. The park offers various activities such as visiting the Reef Aquarium, enjoying performances at the Summer Theatre, taking boat trips, and renting bikes to explore the area. While some visitors have experienced minor issues with bike maintenance, overall it's a great way to tour the city. The rental process is convenient with flexible return policies.
Riding a bycicle to wander the park was a great experience. We rided almost every path and road of the park and around the lake. I recomend to get the two hour ride. It has the best price. Also dont forget to set a timer for fifteen minutes before the two hours so you can bring the bike back on time. They were very strickt about that and even a minute late you'll pay extra 12 lei. The bikes were ok, one of them made some squicking sounds but the ride was smooth

I do not recommend them at all. We rented 3 bikes for 1 hour and the guy at the desk told us to come back at 16:55. We were back with our bikes at 16:45 and they told us we were late. :) we had to pay 8 lei each because of their mistakes. They should be better organized.
Sabina P — Google review
I've been a regular renter from these folks, and I've got to say, every time has been smooth sailing. We once hit a little hiccup and were running behind schedule, but they were cool about it and didn't hit us with any extra charges.
George — Google review
The bikes are reasonably well maintained, though I got one that wasn't braking properly. Could have asked to get another, but I didn't mind it. The price is good and if you get the bike for a longer time they aren't that strict with the return policy. Definitely recommend renting a bike and experiencing the city on two wheels. The waiting lines might be very long during the warm weekend summer days.
Alex A — Google review
Bikes are cheap, 6 lei to start then 4 lei per hour from there. Maxes out at 30 lei per 24 hours. Disappointing that they don’t open until 11:30, I would hope they can open at 8 or 9 AM instead. The bikes are 3-speed and don’t have suspension but for the price they will do.
J — Google review
You can improve the quality of your service by two Things first try to open before 11:30 because usually people go to the park early.. second if your employer smiles or stops showing how sad his life will be even better.. because we came to have a nice time not to feel the world is miserable

+ The rooms are quiet and fitted with air conditioning + Centrally located with easy access and multiple places to eat around - Bathrooms are dirty (a lot of homeless people use them and part of the faience on the walls has fallen) - In the winter they turn up the heat way too much, it feels like a sauna - Typical romanian state inefficiency and lack of long term vision... There are generally more employees than readers in the library, most of them playing on the computer (they are not even hiding from doing that almost all day long) - The internet connection is unreliable, and in the occasions in which it works, it is very slow. It is so far one of the best malls i have visited in Bucharest. It is very big mall almost inside the park. It’s a very amazing and Eco friendly. It has a green theme. Many brand shops where i see for the first time they are not in other malls. The food court os so relaxing and u could eat with you use it, and we could see the view under you the mall or the park. Also, there are many variety of restaurants, more restaurants than other malls more new names. more candy shops, and more restaurants with vegan food also more dessert restaurants like donuts 🍩 like pancake like crepe . The bathroom is unique i will post a video. It feels that you are going and walking through the red carpet. I couldn’t check all of the places from the first time. I’m going back there to check all the other places. Also, the good thing about the small is there are signs everywhere to tell you how to go and where you go because it’s big and you might get lost. Unlike some other malls you get lost without knowing even where the exit.

Nice place to spend time with family. Well kept, lots of shadowed places, playgrounds and a soft running lane. Plus an indoor botanical garden. I miss a place to buy a beverage. The park's art deco lamps cast unique leaf-patterned shadows from their 1935 moldings. Locals have worn grooves into specific benches through daily chess matches. The hidden "Whispering Fountain" amplifies voices between its curved stone benches.
Arman K — Google review
One of the central parks of Bucharest. I don't like it because it has gravel instead of asphalt or concrete so walking in any open shoes or with thin soles is pretty unpleasant. The playground is pretty unmaintained with old equipment. The wannabe "creek" that crosses the park is more like a trap for any ball or moving toys. Always kids must be diverted and reminded that they might break a leg or arm if they fall into the concrete creek. Pretty old and beaen benches. At least it has a toilet. Pretty dusty and unpleasant as whole. Even if it is in downtown Bucharest it is a far cry from other modern parks, a bit further into the city. Worth a visit, but nothing more, a disappointment over all.

Nice little park, small but you can still find a bench to clear your mind in the hustle and bustle of the city.

A small Park in the town center, an a oasis of green. Good place to go with with your kid to play a bit. Has 2 playgrounds for different ages, also a restaurant really close.
Andrei F — Google review
Good for kids and dogs. În February 2022 alleys were paved with grey cubic granite and central area with calcium peebles improving water management during rain.
Mihai E — Google review
Nice decent sized park to take a break from the rush in the city. It is ideal for walking your dog or bringing your kids.
Özge E — Google review
It is a nice little park. The kids play installations and the public fitness installations are not wow but they work and are decently maintained. Lots of pigeons (beware the bird shit on some benches 😁) I've been there plenty of times and it felt safe each time. Not suited for bicycles or roller blades. 2 nice nearby cafe/restaurants.

Park
Kiseleff Park, established around 1832, is a charming green space nestled in northern Bucharest. Originally part of a forest, it was transformed into a park under the guidance of Karl Wilhelm Mayer and Prince Gheorghe Bibescu. While not as expansive as Herastrau or Tineretului parks, Kiseleff Park boasts stunning natural beauty with its lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and majestic trees that provide shade for visitors.
Very nice, clean and large spaces with many trees. The playgrounds for kids are well equipped. Unfortunately the toilets are completely absent.
Mihai V — Google review
It's a great park. If you're lucky the street might be closed and there's a free festival happening. Plenty of shade, paths to walk, a playground for the little ones. Cafes aren't far away either of you need a coffee.
AUSTORM C — Google review
The park has plenty of benches. There was some construction going on and bricks were left out. 2 young boys set up the bricks like dominos. It was adorable to watch.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a beautiful park that was a true oasis of tranquility and fun for all ages. This park was a perfect blend of natural beauty and well-thought-out amenities, making it an ideal destination for families and individuals alike. The park was adorned with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and towering trees that provided ample shade on sunny days. As I strolled along the winding paths, I couldn't help but be captivated by the serenity of the surroundings. It was a place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect with nature. One of the standout features of this park was the abundance of benches strategically placed throughout the area. These benches provided an opportunity for visitors to relax and take in the scenic beauty. Whether you wanted to read a book, have a picnic, or simply enjoy a peaceful moment, there was always a bench nearby. For families with children, this park was a haven of entertainment. There were well-maintained playgrounds with swings, slides, and climbing structures that kept kids happily occupied. The laughter and energy of children at play added to the lively atmosphere of the park. In addition to the playgrounds, the park also boasted open spaces for picnics and sports activities. It was a common sight to see families enjoying a meal together or groups engaged in friendly games of frisbee or soccer. The park fostered a sense of community and togetherness. The park's thoughtful design also extended to facilities like clean restrooms and water fountains, which were conveniently scattered around the area. This attention to detail ensured that visitors had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. In conclusion, the beautiful park with its abundance of benches and diverse recreational offerings was a serene and enjoyable destination for all. Whether you sought a peaceful retreat to connect with nature or a place for your children to run and play, this park had it all. I left with a sense of contentment and a desire to return to this idyllic haven in the heart of the city.

Decent playgrounds but could improve. Green space not really maintained. Many trees, which is a plus in the summer, providing well needed shade.

I really enjoyed the walk on this park. I don't know if it was the large number of trees that made the difference or the beautiful lake, but the atmosphere was astonishing. I believe it is the best place in Bucharest to go on a sunny day of Spring and calm down, relax in a bench or walk to release the pressure of the day in the city.

In Bucharest's heart, I did roam, Through streets and markets, far from home. Muzeul Țăranului, a vibrant delight, Colors and treasures, a wondrous sight. With treasures in hand and heart aglow, To Kiseleff Park, I chose to go. A haven of peace, in the city's embrace, Nature's beauty, a tranquil space. Beneath the trees, their branches high, Whispers of leaves in the evening sky. Children's laughter and lovers' embrace, In this serene haven, I found my place. A bench of wrought iron, beneath the oak, Where melodies danced and time awoke. The setting sun, a painter's delight, Filling the world with soft, warm light. As day turned to night, the sky's grand show, Pastels and stars, a tranquil flow. In Bucharest's heart, this memory stays, A moment of beauty, in countless ways. Through Muzeul Țăranului and Kiseleff's grace, I found a connection, a peaceful embrace. In the heart of a city, bustling and bold, I discovered a story worth being told.

Nature & Parks
Titan Park is a large, well-maintained urban park in Bucharest, Romania. It features a variety of plants and trees, as well as fountains and playgrounds for children. The park is divided into two sections by the boulevard: Titan Park and Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park.
Nice and clean park, good for entertaining kids and having a small walk. Very clean and full of a variety of vegetation.

A fantastic place to have a walk, stroll or ride.. you can go jogging or just have some fresh air.. very great area with a lot of things around. You can all the time discover new part. I have a special attachment to that park. Whenever I go they, I get lost immediately and can hardly find my way out. But all the more I would always go there whenever I have the time to do so. The lake is amazing can't wait to see it in winter with the snow. Loved it sooooooo much. ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕

🌳 Titan Park – Our Favorite Place in Bucharest! 🇷🇴🇱🇰 We’re from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, and one of our favorite ways to enjoy our free days in Bucharest is by visiting Titan Park (also known as Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park). This place is absolutely beautiful — clean, green, and peaceful. Whether you want to relax by the lake, take a walk, go for a run, or just sit under the trees and unwind, this park has it all. We love: • The huge lake with boats and ducks 🦆 • The peaceful walking paths and cycling lanes 🚴 • Fun playgrounds and rides for kids 🎠 • Lots of space to sit, relax, or even do a picnic 🧺 • The vibe – calm, friendly, and family-safe 🌿 It’s one of the best parks we’ve seen in Europe, and it’s right in the city! On weekends, it gets lively with people, events, and sometimes little markets. A perfect escape without going too far from home. We highly recommend this place if you’re in Bucharest and looking for nature, relaxation, or just a nice walk. Titan Park = perfect peaceful days for us 🇱🇰❤️🇷🇴

Its a small neighbourhood park,I observed how the park has been becoming better and better. Now it is a nice safe green place for walks, having some relax.,in my opinion its the most beautiful park in Bucharest, and it is very big

My son love this playground so much..for the size of the park is ideal for me.. bcoz not really small but not really big also with 4 different types of playgrounds. For the minus this place is the parking area which hard to found if weekend and i wish u can parking free here bcoz it's about kid's need here.

This massive urban park's artificial lakes follow 19th-century drainage patterns from former brick factories. The abandoned observatory's dome rotates with original 1935 gears that produce a distinctive metallic groan. Locals have mapped 17 hidden clearings where rare orchids bloom each May.
