Caru' cu Bere is a renowned Romanian restaurant known for its impressive architecture, featuring wood paneling, stained-glass windows, and a charming patio. It is considered one of Bucharest's oldest restaurants and boasts a stunning interior adorned with frescoes, stained glass, and vaulted ceilings. The establishment has historical significance as it was opened in the late 19th century by Nicolae Mircea after being inspired by Bavarian beer houses during his apprenticeship in Bucharest.
Visited for lunch on a weekday with no reservation. It was fairly crowded, but they quickly seated me in the front dining area. I went with the Gentleman's Dish with a side of mashed potatoes & lemonade. Maneesha was my server. He was wonderful & made sure i was well taken care of. Impeccable service! Food was delicious & served within 10 minutes. The roasted duck legs were tender & lightly seasoned. The braised cabbage was surprisingly flavourful with dill as a topping. I recommend sitting inside to get the most of the experience & take in the historic charm & elegant interiors. Reserve in advance to get balcony or mezzanine seating. It was a treat dining here. Definitely worth a visit while in Old Town Budapest.

I had lunch at Caru' cu Bere, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The place itself is magnificent - the architecture and interior design are stunning, with a unique historic charm that immediately sets the mood. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and full of authentic flavor. Everything we tried felt carefully crafted and generous, exactly what you hope for in a traditional Romanian restaurant. A special mention goes to the staff, who were very kind, attentive, and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Overall, Caru' cu Bere is a must-visit in Bucharest - a perfect blend of atmosphere, great food, and excellent service.

It’s a really beautiful place. Going in, the first thing you’ll see is the big church stained glass. It’s beautiful how it keeps the essence of a church but it’s better now that you can have fun. The food was great, dishes looks delicious and taste really good. Our waiter was really kind. And it’s wonderful to suddenly see a dance show. Applause! It’s a little bit expensive, but I think it’s worth it.

The atmosphere in this place is amazing. Obviously you pay for the place and what you see. The music on the afternoon is great attach. And everything is beautiful inside. I did a reservation from their website and I recommended because on the afternoon they had a lot of people outside. The reservation was in "Beer cart - Bacchus Balcony" and they put me in the place you see in the pictures. From their virtual tour: https://www.carucubere.ro/en/contact/virtual-tour/ L0-means the main room (The classic’s and The Royal); L2-means the balcony (The Old Papa Ghita and Gambrinus balcony); C-1- means the Craftman’s wine cellar. The food was good but I wanted to be better for their price. Sausages great but small. The meat with the bone good but I believe it was needed to be little more juice. The starter was great and the ice cream. For sure I recommended for the experience and the music with the violins 😁

A beautiful and impressive restaurant in Bucharest that’s worth a visit. We had reserved months in advance, but there was a mix-up, and we waited over an hour at the bar. It’s very touristy, and the show was more salsa and Latin music , i was expected more traditional show, but lively and fun. The waiters were moving through the show between dancers and guests, all my respect to them for handling so many people. The food took a while but was generous and tasty.

I've been there in a monday noon with my friends (4). There was a violin and piano concert to please our lunch and to everyone else. Amazing food, amazing location AND amazing waiter! Dorian, our personal waiter, was always here to serve us the best he could. He made sure everything was ok.

Read about this restaurant in the suggestions on what to do and I was concerned it may be a tourist trap but it is not, the restaurant is great! The food was really good and serve quickly. I'll definitely be back! Staff was very friendly. Madalina was our server and she was great! Prices are good for the amount of food you get. Bring your belly empty because you fill up here. Highly recommend it 🔥🔥🔥

The building is nice. Service is good. Food is okay 50/50 its nothing special. Even the locals said its just hyped and I agree. For the price we paid probably could have eaten somewhere better. The decor is nice.

Restaurant
Costelaria, situated on Strada Calea Rahovei in Bucharest, is renowned as the finest rib establishment in the city. It offers a wide array of dishes featuring ribs and is highly favored by both tourists and locals alike.
One of my to go places when i wanna eat until i explode !! Perfectly grilled porc ribs, best in the world, and those fried chips....damnnn....everything needs to be toped with their homemade bread, pickle salad and a draft beer. You set for a long nap afterwards!

Food was good and price was decent. The bbq pork ribs were very good.

Good food and very nice and warm vibe / service. Giving 4 stars for the lower menu diversity for both foods and deserts. Decent prices, a very nice place to spend some quality nice time with your friends in a quiet & pleasant atmosphere. Will revisit and update to 5 stars if applicable

They do not joke about the amount of food they give you. We ordered the meat platter for 4 and we were 2. It was a lot. The meat was well cooked and seasoned. The chips were ok. It was nice that we got several sauces to mix and match the tastes. We also took a cheese sauce additionally which was my favorite. The dessert was really good!
Océane — Google review
The food is really good and a lot. The prices are a little bit high, but it is worth it. Update 2023: The restaurant is situated next to Bragadiru Palace but is not part of it. It has tables inside and also outside in the back terrace. The terrace is big and it is covered during the winter. If it is needed, they have heaters. The staff is friendly and quick to help you with everything. Be aware that the ribs are not the american style ones with bbq sauce on them. The meat is very tasty and soft. For those who want, they have different sauces to dip in or spread on the meat. I have been here many times after work with colleagues, and every time we felt good.
Marius — Google review
We waited one hour for our order. The food wasn’t that great. I have cooked much better ribs at home, and I am not a chef and I have no experience in the kitchen. I asked the waiter how long until the food is ready because it had been an hour, and she looked at us and said "It's been 47 minutes"🤯. In other restaurants, you are told from the beginning that it will take a long time until the food is ready. If the restaurant was full, I would have understood that it would take longer until the order was ready, but it was more than half empty. After an hour of waiting, the chips were cold when they were brought. If you want to go here, I recommend you make a reservation. I personally do not recommend this restaurant. If you want to eat ribs better, buy some pre-seasoned ribs from Auchan and put them in the oven or grill them and they will come out better.

Located in a historical building which was made according to the plans designed by the Austrian architect Anton Shuckerl in 1894, this location takes you back to the 1900 when going to a restaurant was a culinary experience and at the same time a way to socialize. Clean, great service, average prices, even with a designated smoking area this is a place you must visit when you are in town. For meat lovers I will recommend the Costelaria plate for 2.

Located in the historic center, Restaurant Hanu' lui Manuc offers classic Romanian dishes in a charming setting. The restaurant is housed in Manuc's Inn, a well-preserved 19th-century caravanserai with a rich history. Guests can enjoy traditional music and spacious courtyard dining while savoring authentic Romanian cuisine. The warm and welcoming service adds to the ambiance, making it a sought-after dining destination in the city.
Fantastic place! It’s huge, but the atmosphere throughout is great and there’s a really nice historic and traditional vibe. As soon as we arrived the staff were exceptional, being welcoming and friendly and taking the time to explain the different options on the extensive menu. Our table was large and spacious and all the cutlery, glasses etc clean. The sharing platter to start was great and plenty for two people. Presentation was great and each item was very tasty too. For the main, we opted for their signature lamb sharing dish and didn’t regret it. It was wheeled to the table on a trolley and prepared with drama! It was huge, plenty for two people and truly delicious with the meat falling apart perfectly. There’s also a great range of drinks including a large choice of reasonably priced wines. Drinks are brought quickly and getting refills is easy from the attentive staff. Overall it was a great meal and experience - I’ll be returning every time I’m in the city centre in the future.

Beautiful place and I went there without reservation. The food came fast and everything were amazing. I liked a lot the marmalade sauce of fuan Gra. It was amazing. Polenta it is not my thing so I don't eat it in any place. The rest was amazing. The 3 sausages with the potatoes could be cheaper because it was not something special. For sure I recommended it

We had a great time here while staying in Bucharest a couple of days. We wanted some authentic dishes and a cool atmosphere. We saw the decent ratings and gave it a try. Food was great as was the service and the atmosphere. We made reservations on line ahead of time and were seated in the wine cellar portion of the restaurant. There is the main (I suppose) dinning room upstairs and then this wine cellar portion below. We’re super glad we were down there! I’d suggest requesting it from the start. There is also a huge courtyard with seating and one of their bars … this place must be hopping on weekends in the warmer months. While we are not bilingual and our waiter spoke very little English, it still worked great. We liked him a lot and trusted his suggestions for us to have a coupe of their traditional desserts. One last thing - they had my all time favorite beers on tap that is only available in Eastern Europe as far as I’ve found. I love Kozel dark (brewed in the Czech Republic).

What a find! The reviews for this place were incredible, and now I see why. It’s got a truly authentic vibe—like you've stumbled into the heart of Bucharest. The restaurant was packed, and there was even live music, which made the atmosphere even better. Our server, Romeo, was fantastic. The service was so pleasant and the food came out surprisingly fast. We weren't sure what to expect when we saw the dishes, but the taste completely blew us away. Everything was so delicious! The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, the potatoes were amazing, and the pickles and cabbage were perfectly crisp and salty. The pita was also very tasty. The extra BBQ sauce we ordered was the perfect finishing touch. The beer was cold and delicious, which was a huge plus. We had a great time!
Liliia K — Google review
The dinner was great. A lot of very tasty food and fabulous deserts. The waiter, Parvu Alexandru, was very nice. He recommended us of the food and drinks and didn't let us order more food than we can eat. The music and the show were fun. I'll definitely come back next time in Bucharest.
Inbal K — Google review
We had great time. Came here for dinner, we were seated immediately. Emanuel was our server and took great care of us. The food was delicious and there was a dancing show. I would recommend this place to my friends and will come back ☺️

Dining at Hanu’ Lui Manuc was an unforgettable experience — a perfect blend of tradition, history, and great food. The atmosphere feels like stepping back in time, surrounded by centuries-old architecture and warm hospitality. I tried the Vizir Ciolan — incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Every bite reflected authentic Romanian craftsmanship. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the entire place radiates charm and culture. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bucharest — whether for local dishes, historical vibes, or simply a memorable culinary experience.
Nicolae B — Google review
Visited this place twice for dinner and had different experiences. The food tends to be a bit cold/lukewarm but the flavours are good. Service was somewhat worse the first time (perhaps exacerbated by our confusion on how to order - placed using the QR code but then a server came to take our order?) we were also sat upstairs in an awkward, narrow corridor and the music was also quite loud, neither of which helped the experience. Ordered the lamb chops, which were tender, well cooked and flavoured - but lukewarm. However, service was better the second time thanks to Mihai B. and (perhaps) us sitting downstairs. Music volume was actually bearable and service was really quick (the lamb knuckle came around 5 minutes after ordering - which actually makes the lukewarm meat a stranger phenomenon here). Also ordered some pita bread, which was nice as it’s freshly made (did struggle to finish two out of three, maybe shouldn’t have ordered along them with the lamb knuckle). Somehow had room for dessert so ordered the “biscuit cake” house special and pavlova. Biscuit cake had a fruitier taste than I was expecting and wasn’t too sweet (good things, as I was thinking it might be sickeningly sweet chocolate and biscuit). Pavlova is good: some of the fruit is sour (out of season I guess), the meringue was a bit too chewy for my liking and the syrup almost tastes like cough syrup but the mascarpone cream does help with these elements (somewhat). First time we didn’t book a table and had no wait (on a Friday night - looked quite busy as we came out around 9:15 pm). Second time we booked a table for 9:30 pm, came 20 minutes early (was asked whether we’d like to sit inside or outside) and was significantly less busy when we came in and out. TL;DR food is lukewarm which is annoying. Service is good, probably don’t order using the QR code. I’d recommend sitting downstairs if you can.

Energiea is a vibrant and hip urban spot located near the Cismigiu Gardens in Bucharest. Housed in a former printing house, this venue exudes an eclectic and relaxed atmosphere with a fascinating history. The loft-like architecture still carries the essence of its printing past, but now it serves as a unique bar and eatery. The menu reflects a light international tradition with simple, healthy dishes served impeccably.
I only have good things to say. I had here a very delicious burger that came with fries and cucumber salad. The meat was juicy and flavorful, the fries were good and the salad helped to balance some of the fat. We also had the potatoes platter with cheese and mostly because we were curious about the sauces. The food was too much for 3 people (or at least 3 small girls like us) but very tasty. The drinks were very good. We all stick to nonalcoholic but I saw the cocktails carried to other tables and were looking great! The greatest lemonade they have was the one with roses - they call it Trandafirata. The others were good too, the coconut one was a bit too sweet for me. The staff is very friendly and paid attention to us every time. They had a wonderful attitude and we felt very welcome. I will come again!

Very welcoming restaurant serving food even after 11 PM. The place is quiet and at only a few hundred meters from the frenzy of Calea Victoriei. The personnel is very friendly and the food is rather good at decent prices. I recommend the flavoured home made natural lemonades.

I had an excellent Beef Salad 🥗 in this pub, I really enjoyed it, service was by an extremely friendly waitress, really nice and took me through the food and drink options. It was wonderfully aircon so really pleasant space to have a meal. 🥘 I would definitely go back a real gem 💎 in the old town.

This place is dog friendly which makes it amazing from the start. The staff is extremely friendly, considerate, and thoughtful. Two of the employees came and ask to bring a bowl of water to our dog. The food is nice, however they don’t really deliver steaks as required in terms of rare/medium/well-done. My steak came more on the colder side and even though I asked for a rare steak it came medium. Other than that I really enjoyed this place.
Sasha L — Google review
A trendual place especially in the hipster area, reflecting also in quite spicy prices. To be recommend, as it's a bit outside from what you find in the touristic Old City of Bucharest.
Nicolae B — Google review
Was with a large group of co-workers. Ordered Antricot de Vita MEDIUM, they served it medium rare. Worse, they cut the meat in slices which you never do unless you make a lousy salad. So the 160ron beef was not what i asked, 2 out of 5 stars. Now the Creme Brule, you can check the picture, this is not creme brule, this is just a sweet soup burnt on the top. Worst desert i ever ate, 1 out of 5 stars. If I had to pay for this I would've asked for my money back. Disrespectul towards the customer and incompetent cooks. PS: everyone who had the steam complained it was not medium and it was too rare...

The food was really good! Loved the composition of the meals and the portions were big. We were served by a very friendly waitress in the outside dinig area, which is very relaxed. Prices might be a bit expensive, but still liked the experience.

Exceptional in every single way. We arrived very late thinking they may not still be serving food. However, our waiter George welcomed us with open arms and nothing was too much trouble. His service was superb, and he went above and beyond The food was absolutely delicious, great quality cuts of steak cooked to perfection and the desserts were light and tasty. Compliments to the chef! We will definitely return, everything was superb. Highly recommend.

We had a great dinner at Noa Restoclub. The service was professional and attentive, definitely above Bucharest average. We ordered salmon tartare, a tenderloin steak (asked for medium rare), and truffle mashed potatoes. The tartare and mashed potatoes were excellent, the steak was good but slightly overcooked (more medium than medium rare). Everything was a clear 4.5 – which I would normally round up to 5 stars. What left a mixed impression was the way tipping was handled. Our bill was 379 RON and I told the waiter to round it to 400. He then pointed out that a “minimum tip” of 10% was expected, showing the tipping suggestions printed on the receipt (10%, 12%, 15%). While suggestions are fine, the way it was communicated felt more like a requirement, which was a bit uncomfortable, especially since I had already tipped. Still, a stylish place with very good food and service. Worth a visit, just be aware of the tipping expectations.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ We were a group of five friends on a weekend trip to Bucharest and decided to visit Restaurant NOA. I was in the mood for a good steak – and I was not disappointed. I ordered the rib steak, which was incredibly tender and perfectly cooked. The menu offered high-quality meat, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere cozy. It’s a small place with limited seating, but that actually makes the experience feel more intimate and personal. All in all, a very good dining experience that I can warmly recommend if you’re in Bucharest and in the mood for a delicious steak.

Noa effortlessly cool place where food makes you feel tingly - Shrimp & Avocado Salad: Snappy shrimp, silky avocado, citrus that winks. Whisper-soft, oddly unforgettable. - Tuna Sashimi: Clean, fresh, unbothered. Like the chef has Poseidon on speed dial. - Tenderloin: Slices like a compliment, melts like one too. Elegant, medium-rare diplomacy. - Ribeye: Beefy swagger. Bark outside, poetry inside. The steak your other steaks warned you about. - Lamb Chops: Pink, juicy, herb-kissed. Just gamey enough to keep the conversation interesting. Verdict: Calmly excellent. Go with friends who share and a plan for which steak to dream about tomorrow.

10/10 experience, the service, ambience and food was everything a fine dining experience should be. Simple menu but it doesn't need to be anything more, each side dish complements the main resulting in a joy in every mouthful. Very well put together, would definitely recommend.

Oh my God, I’m absolutely blown away! My friends and I came here today, and it turned out to be one of the most amazing dining experiences of my life. I have never tasted food this delicious — it was pure culinary ecstasy. The ribs were cooked to absolute perfection, the Romanian wine was divine, and the dessert… oh, that dessert! It reminded me a bit of a Napoleon cake, but it was even better — rich, delicate, and heavenly. The atmosphere is simply gorgeous — cozy yet elegant — and the guy who served our table… wow. So charming, so polite, and so incredibly attractive! We honestly felt like goddesses the whole evening. We’re still sitting here, even though our flight leaves in two hours, because we just can’t bring ourselves to leave. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience. Really nice place, very central, the best steak I’ve had in Romania. I had an early lunch in Sunday and the restaurant was very quiet. The waiters speak English which is useful for me as my Romanian is very limited. Will definitely return.

I don’t have the words to say how amazing this meal was. Everything was 10/10. Anyone visiting Bucharest (who loves steak) should come here. Perfection on a plate

Restaurant
If you're wandering through Bucharest and craving a taste of Latin America, look no further than Blue Margarita. This vibrant eatery brings the flavors of South America and Mexico right to your plate, making it a must-visit spot in the city. Nestled in a semi-central location, Blue Margarita offers an inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy traditional dishes alongside refreshing margaritas that are truly one-of-a-kind.
Wonderful restaurant with very tasty tacos. We were few weeks ago. We had Crab, Duck and another taco I don’t remember 😂. The cheese jalapeno balls were also very tasty. The margaritas are very interesting and diverse. But I think the strawberry is my favorite even though the kiwi is also great. The lava cake and the margarita mousse were good. The mousse had too much alcohol for a desert. I think a small person might get drunk from it😂 I will come back for sure!
Andreea D — Google review
I really enjoyed the food. However that was short lived as the service wasn’t great from the moment we walked in. I ended up finishing quickly as I did not feel wanted in the restaurant. It was weird and awkward. This resulting in me leaving early and not orders any desserts.
Monique — Google review
Nice staff, considerate. Looks like prices everywhere are skyrocketing and this place is also there. I had an enchilada and a Cuba libre. Nothing special. Decent food. Nice background music. All in all an enjoyable outing.
Marian C — Google review
We had a nice team gathering at Blue Margarita. We came here following the suggestion of one of us, for me was the first time. The food is delicious, very tasty. The staff is polite and always available to help. I recommend the place for those who enjoy the mexican cuisine.
Adrian G — Google review
Blue Margarita is my go-to place whenever I want to eat Mexican Food and to enjoy a perfect glass of Margarita. The food is absolutely delicious, full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every visit has been a great experience, with a relaxed vibe, making it perfect for enjoying the evening. Whether I am there for dinner or just a drink, it's always a pleasure.
Diana H — Google review
Tasty Mexican food and bites, ideal for sharing, although it's very hard to want to share. The crab tacos are among the best I've had anywhere. If I must complain (which I mustn't, but I usually do anyway), more coriander would have been nicer.
E H — Google review
We have been a 12 persons party and we took the two sharing options, plus some deserts. The food is great (I had mexican food elsewhere but it wasn’t that good), the service is prompt and friendfull. And don’t forget to order Margaritas (great!). And for the main course some wine! Great option for a good evening!

A bit pricey, but the food was delicious!! My husband definitely found his happy place with the BEST, realist, most spicy salsa he's found here in Romania yet! The drinks were amazing, service was wonderful. We'll be telling all our friends about here, and will definitely be back!

Nestled in the heart of Bucharest, Arcade Cafe is a modern and stylish eatery that captures the essence of a Parisian café. This charming spot offers an array of delightful small meals, aromatic coffee, and an impressive selection of beers, wines, and cocktails as night falls. With three unique seating areas, it’s not just a place to dine but also a popular venue for events where you can soak in different ambiances while enjoying your meal or drinks.
I only had drinks here but I was impressed with the welcoming vibes. It was nearly 10pm and it was nice to find somewhere like this to sit and have a few drinks. I can recommend the long island iced tea and the honey bunny coffee. The waitresses were friendly too unlike some in old town.
Steven S — Google review
A lovely cafe in the old town of Bucharest. The food was delicious. And the service was great. You don’t need a reservation if you go for lunch.
Nadia K — Google review
We came for dessert, papanashi, and it was just bad (in our opinion). The dough felt as just bought in the supermarket. We didn't expect too high but it was too low. Also the service was slow and not nice (though I can understand why the staff is exhausted). Most importantly, I don't appreciate when the place decides for me and includes the service-fee. It should be a customr's decision. Thanks
Omercito — Google review
Came here tonight. Waited nearly an hour for food when the tables were empty. Really loud music and waiting staff when you were in couldn’t care less, didn’t smile just ignored you and were rude. When meal was brought it was cold, they took it and put it in the microwave!!! Burger cost £10 absolute joke! Don’t waste your money
Melanie B — Google review
Good average and trusted restaurant All budget. Good atmosphere Good price and good ribs
Enzo G — Google review
So first things first, DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. You will regret it for many reasons. First things first, the food was okay, nothing really crazy about it but it wasn’t completely trash. It was just decent. The crazy thing about this experience was the audacity of the staff to literally STEAL from us as they forced us to pay a tip of 10€!!!. And they didn’t even inform us about this policy of the store when they practically begged us to take a sit. The answer of the “manager” was literally “welcome to Romania” and he didn’t even try to explain this thievery. If, before we order, they said something like “you will have to pay a fund of 10% of the order if that’s okay with you” and we would be okay, or just let us make the decision for ourselves and leave the store. But no, he decided to make fun of us for what? Being tourists?. Plus we visited many many stores and restaurants in Romania, and none tried to scam us like this. Most definitely go somewhere else, the price of the food is not worth it anyways.
Peter C — Google review
This restaurant has good food but is let down by the very poor attitude of their staff. Came here for breakfast which was very good however one member of staff spent most of the time i was there on her mobile phone speaking in an animated way which did not lend itself to a relaxing atmosphere. A second member of staff at the front was then seen smoking when engaging with potential customers. Both these examples are very unprofessional behaviour. When my bill came i noted a 10% service charge had been added, which again is very poor!. I asked for this to be removed before i paid
Gary B — Google review
Local in the center of Bucharest, a butler convinced us to come in. The food is good, they mainly serve meat and typical dishes but you can also enjoy a hamburger. Good service. However, the room inside was very narrow and very hot, I would keep the heating lower.

This hip venue also hosts local music shows on weekends, making it an ideal spot for a fun night out. With its range of burgers, sandwiches, salads, craft beers, and cocktails, Shift Pub offers a casual dining experience perfect for gathering with friends.
Good food with huge portions! The serving was decent, we had no issues. One small issue: this pub has only one small bathroom for all clients, which is insufficient.
John F — Google review
This restaurant was recommended by a Romanian friend, but we had very bad service. Our server was out front smoking cigarettes most of the time we were there. Our food would have been very good if it had been served when it was ready but we waited almost an hour and our meals had clearly been warmed up again in a microwave. I had the shrimp pasta with truffle sauce and it had a film over it from being microwaved. My husband’s meatballs were overheated and dry while the mashed potatoes were cold. The cocktails were great and the terrace was lovely, but it was unfortunate that our meals were spoiled by the server’s negligence.
Kristina W — Google review
Dined here after 10, when lot of other places where already closed. Good value for money, and the signature burger was good! However, the chicken my friend had was a bit dry and didn't have a lot of flavor. Still, if you are looking for a laid back place to eat and have a drink, I recommend Shift :)
Anni T — Google review
Food is good. They still serve breakfast at 13 PM. The waiter was not too friendly. We were 12 people and we were not allowed to bring the tables closer together. The Shift chicken schnitzel is good (the onion jam makes is better). On the other side lava cake (desert cald cu ciocolata si inghetata) is amazing!! I love the fact that they have huge portions

One of the best restaurants in Bucharest in terms of great value for money. Tasty food, big portions and very good prices. Staff was also very friendly and the atmosphere was very cozy.

Had a great meal here for my Hen Do. Managed to make a reservation in advance and cannot fault the service received. Food was tasty, massive portions and reasonable prices. Cocktails were strong but delicious. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and helped us split the bill payment. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice relaxed vibe and good food.

Taco restaurant
Taqueria El Torito is a Tex-Mex restaurant in Bucharest known for its authentic and flavorful Mexican street food. The menu features a variety of dishes including burritos, fajitas, tacos, taquitos, nachos, quesadillas, and spicy wings with salsa. Guests can also savor the often overlooked cream of corn soup. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes diners feel like they've been transported out of Romania.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can gladly say this is one of my favorite restaurants! The atmosphere is so pleasant, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious, you can really taste the passion in every dish. I’ll come back as often as I can and will recommend this wonderful place to all my friends. Hats off to the entire team for such an amazing experience. Thank you!
George — Google review
This place was great. We were greeted by a saranade singer from Mexico who serenaded us privately just because she was excited we were from Scandinavia. Her husband played the beautiful guitar to accompany her effortless voice. The food was great! Tasty and not at all expensive - and great drinks! Felt like a little Mexican pearl right in the middle of Bucharest.
Linn S — Google review
Best Mexican food in Bucharest, hands down!! The tacos were amazing and the BEST margaritas!!!! We can’t wait to go back. Every. Week. From now on! Great service, lovely atmosphere. Did I mention the TACOS?! Oh, and the TAMALES?!! And the margaritas?! 😋😋😋
Jonna B — Google review
Plate for 2 was good, especially the taquittos. Had a piece of beef burrito from a friend, that was even better. But even better than the food was the mariachi band playing there. Real south-americans, speaking spanish and they made a great atmosphere. Good entertainment.
Vlad B — Google review
The Atmosphere is great, they did a good job authenticating the feel and vibe of Mexico. 🇲🇽 the service especially from the girl upfront with the black hair is horrible. We were waiting for 38 min and no one came to take our food order I had to get up and say something to one of the other waiters for them to come take our order . I understand is busy but it’s 5 waiters so I don’t think it should have taken 38 minutes. Also we told the waitress we were ready to order and she ignored us . She was more interested in helping the larger parties I guess for tips but she would have gotten more from me if she would have been more helpful. She was arrogant ignorant and rude . She blatantly refused to help us . So here’s the break down . Micheladas gets a 6 out of 10 Chips with guac 4 out of 10. Service gets negative zero atmosphere gets a 10 because of the vibe and decor and the mariachi’s . Other than that coming from someone that has Mexican food 2 times a week in California, was nothing to write home about. Maybe get better servers and from hostesses service and it would probably get more service . This is a hot tourist spot with the parliament and for a Saturday near the parliament and old town Bucharest it was pretty dead even with the singers . Have better service and you will definitely get better reviews. Especially because tourist read reviews and make decisions on where to eat in another country . I went to el toro in California USA and this is not even close to the original. I would definitely have spent more money if I got better service and if u had attentive waitresses .
Ryaxeh — Google review

Pâine și Vin, which translates to bread and wine, offers a diverse selection of crusts served in the style of flatbread pizza. The toppings are locally sourced and there is an impressive array of wines available. The menu features various crust options such as Roma, Flemish, Mexican Ember, Bengalese (naan bread), and Scandinavian.
The pizza and lasagna were absolutely delicious, and the friendly, English-speaking staff made the experience even better. Georgiana was an excellent waiter, and her recommendations were spot on. The prices were reasonable, but be aware—they don’t accept American Express. Arrive early or make a reservation, as they fill up quickly. Highly recommended!

Super nice place with a lovely wine selection and delicious food! The White wine tasting (3x) was nice, and afterwards I asked what wine the server would recommend, and she proposed a very interesting wine, which I really enjoyed. The vegetation platter for two was delicious! I highly recommend, and would love to come back again. We bought the wine tasting for two, two extra glasses of wine, the vegetarian platter, and a slice of pie. The price was around 360 lei in total.
Johanne W — Google review
I had an amazing time at Pâine și vin! I was inspired to be creative with the wine selection because they offer you the possibility of trying 3 different types. I tasted and debated the scent and flavours, which made me feel like a true sommelier. Then I tried the selection of authentic Romanian spreads, the best I had in my life! I love the vibe of the place, the waitresses were warm, kind and helpful, especially Nina, which I’m very fond of! I love the freedom your restaurant conjures! The fairytale-like snow from outside was perfect to go with! What I love most about this place is that they source from local, authentic food & beverages artisans! I recommend wholeheartedly to visit this place! You’ll fall in love at first sight (and taste)! I had lived a truly memorable experience!

So good we went twice! A really nice, buzzy atmosphere at night and during the day. The range of Romanian wines is incredible! They also do a great local beer (Anagram). We loved the Romanian meat and cheese platter.

Such huge portions and Absolutely delicious (we had to take some home with us) there was live dancing which was fantastic and the staff were very attentive and polite thisbis a must visit if you find yourselves in Bucharest, but make sure to booknin advance as it's always rammed!!

Delicious pizza, tasty local cheese selection. The wine menu is nice and various with Romanian and Moldavian only, but the "special reds" tasting is a must try if you are an enthusiast.
Campean A — Google review
This place is very popular so I decided to have dinner. I booked a table online and it was very easy. Warm welcome from the hostess. I asked her the menu and I chose to have a classic one not a digital one. Very confusing a second person took the drinks order and a third one took the food order. Fondue arrived in an unusual presentation and the souffle was flat not properly baked. After the main course was cleared there were no recommendations for dessert. I needed to ask for dessert menu. No wine service I needed to pour myself. After the wine was opened the waiter didn't check with me, normally need to taste and confirm the quality of the wine. In general I was very disappointed with the service. I left 10 percent gratuity because I don't like to give nothing but they didn't deserve it. Thank you

Good service by Elena, loved the food - pork ribs with whiskey sauce. I recommend the experience🤩
Ana M — Google review
I gave 2 stars for the atmosphere and the garlic pork ribs, which were both awesome. The dessert was good, but not wow. We waited 30 mins to receive drinks (first time), then the waiters made us wait even longer if we ordered other drinks in the meantime. The chicken wings my friend ordered were not freshly made, but just reheated. It’s a pity because this is our second time here and it was quite disappointing.

Romanian Insane BBQ And Sauces offers a delectable dish called Tandori Ribs, which are pork ribs baked in sweet peppers and yogurt paste, seasoned with fennel and cumin. The restaurant provides a nice and cozy ambiance suitable for both couples and groups of friends. In addition to the flavorful ribs, the menu also includes other must-try items like nachos, peanut ribs, burgers, and lava cake.
Amazing ribs! I'm usually hesitant to order ribs because most of the time they're dry or tasteless, but the ribs here were so juicy and moist that the meat fell off the bone! The staff was very friendly and helped me pick out the nacho ribs and it was excellent! Definitely check out this place!
Elwin L — Google review
Nice, cozy place, suitable for 2, but also for a group of friends. We had a reservation, but the place was empty when we arrived (mid-afternoon). We had nachos and peanut ribs, next to some ribs tapas. We expected these to be only the meat, but the bone was also there, which made the tapas quite hard to eat. Otherwise, the ribs were ok, correctly cooked and quite tasty.

Absolutely tasty food, a genuine alternative to other fast foods. The atmosphere wasn't bad at all and the waiters were friendly. The only cons is the water, as other few restaurants do, they don't specify the size of the bottles of water.
Ciosba ( — Google review
very cozy the location and very good service, but the ribs halfway to the posted post, and too tender.

Great place, great staff and the food is probably the best in the area. The BBQ ribs and the burger are a must try as well as the lava cake. Some nights are with live music and on Thursday we were greeted by a street magician. This is a must go if you're in the area and hungry. Just don't eat before visiting, the portions are plentiful.

The city center location is good, nice design inside. In took 40 minutes for the food to arrive and after that time, one of our friends was told that they didn't have the food he ordered. I can't understand why didn't they do that in the 40 minutes waiting time. They compensated through the fact that his new order will be on the house. The rest of the food arrived cold.
