"Carol I" Park, located in the southern-central area of Bucharest on Filaret Hill, is a historic park established in 1906. It offers a French garden, historical monuments, and a picturesque lake spread across 41 hectares. The park features generous walkways for walking, cycling, and rollerblading as well as playgrounds for children. Visitors can admire important monuments such as the Mausoleum housing fallen soldiers from World War II and the Roman Arenas.
It's an amazingly placid park full of greenery a conventional Bucharest park with lake view lots of trees to sit under. A perfect place for people living in sector 4 for little evening walks or chitchat. It also has playing area for kids. Plz take better shoes kids cuz they also have small trampolines to have nice jumps.
Anisha L — Google review
The park is nice, even if some parts aren't maintained on a daily basis. The unknown soldier monument is impressive and the park had many locals come to ride, jog, or just walk work their children. It gives a feeling that you're visiting their place, not so much a tourist trap, which is refreshing.
Amit M — Google review
A beautiful park slightly off the main city area. Found by mistake but well worth a visit. If we had been able to read Google maps then we wouldn't have found it!!! A moving tribute memorial to the unknown soldier which has a guard constantly. Then a walk down a different path on the way out led to the most amazing little restaurant & bar underneath a bridge called Le Pod. Definitely go and enjoy a beer 🍻😊
Lynda H — Google review
Beautiful, large park with many large trees that provide shade, many trails, several ponds (some have ducks). Lovely park to visit and take a walk if you are near by.
Dr. S — Google review
Small park but great location. Lots of benches to seat a beautiful fontain in the main entrance. Also a restaurant located close to the entrance. In the front of the park lots of parking spaces.
George S — Google review
An incredibly pretty park with sculptures and monuments, ponds and lots of benches to sit on. Conveniently located - not far from the city center, a perfect spot for a relaxing walk!
Ania T — Google review
Nice place for walk Founded in 1906, this picturesque park features a French-style garden, historical monuments, a mausoleum, and a lake.

Cismigiu Gardens is a serene and picturesque English-style park in Bucharest, offering a peaceful retreat with its tree-filled landscapes, a charming lake, and a delightful rose garden. It's one of the city's must-visit attractions alongside iconic landmarks like the Palace of Parliament and the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum. The park provides an ideal setting for leisurely strolls along its winding paths, scenic ponds, and numerous seating areas.
Really nice park. Went there a few times on my holiday. The pedalo was very reasonably priced at 10 lei (£1.70) for 30 mins. There was also a nice ice-cream/drinks cafe next to the pedalo office where we enjoyed some drinks overlooking the lake.

This is a lovely park! Lots of shaded paths and benches. There’s a charming little waterfall with a little pond in the middle where you can rent paddle and row boats. There’s an epic playground for kids. There are a number of places where you can stop for a coffee, some food and snacks (including ice cream). Great spot to kill some time on a hot day.
Culinary S — Google review
Very nice garden. There are many benches, beautiful flowers around, nice lake and some restaurants/cafes. You can also rent a boat for nice time in the lake.
Nissim C — Google review
Good park. Pretty big, many benches. Has places for kids to play, has quiet places to read book or meditate. Has places to have a drink or snack. Free toilets area available, not the best quality, but better than nothing. Long Lake.
Kyrylo S — Google review
Beautiful park in the center of Bucharest. A perfect place for a walk, to read a book, let the kids play, or enjoy a coffee. Great spot to relax and spend a weekend doing whatever you like.
Pillar K — Google review
Maybe this is one of the oldest park in Bucharest, I’m not sure, but carries some “little Paris” vibes. If you like the colourful part of nature, I recommend to visit it between March and October.
Leila C — Google review
Cișmigiu Gardens is one of the most peaceful and scenic spots in Bucharest, located just a short walk from the city center and completely free to visit. The park features two lakes—one larger and one smaller—surrounded by lush greenery and walking paths. In the warmer months, you can rent a rowboat on the lake, making it a charming and relaxing activity for couples or families. In winter, the main lake becomes an ice skating rink. The park is home to ducks, shaded benches, picnic areas, and playgrounds, making it great for both quiet moments and family outings. If you're nearby and interested in Romanian history, the Museum of Communism in the Old Town is also worth visiting. It’s just a 15-minute walk away and offers an interactive look at Romania’s recent past.
The B — Google review
Beautiful park. Nice walking aleys, the pond with boats and pedal boats makes a nice athmosphere, big old trees providing plenty of shade and playgrounds for kids. Great place to spend an afternoon for the whole family.

Nature & Parks
Parcul Grădina Icoanei, also known as the Garden of the Icon, is a charming urban park nestled in the heart of Bucharest. Initially situated on the outskirts and shunned due to unpleasant odors, it has since transformed into a popular green space. Established in 1873, this park offers a serene escape with sandy paths, shaded benches, and opportunities for al fresco dining.
A lovely little area of relaxation in the middle of the concrete jungle
Liviu P — Google review
The park's art deco lamps cast unique leaf-patterned shadows from their 1935 moldings. Locals have worn grooves into specific benches through daily chess matches. The hidden "Whispering Fountain" amplifies voices between its curved stone benches.
Arman K — Google review
One of the central parks of Bucharest. I don't like it because it has gravel instead of asphalt or concrete so walking in any open shoes or with thin soles is pretty unpleasant. The playground is pretty unmaintained with old equipment. The wannabe "creek" that crosses the park is more like a trap for any ball or moving toys. Always kids must be diverted and reminded that they might break a leg or arm if they fall into the concrete creek. Pretty old and beaen benches. At least it has a toilet. Pretty dusty and unpleasant as whole. Even if it is in downtown Bucharest it is a far cry from other modern parks, a bit further into the city. Worth a visit, but nothing more, a disappointment over all.
Marius G — Google review
Nice little park, small but you can still find a bench to clear your mind in the hustle and bustle of the city.
Bogdan N — Google review
A small Park in the town center, an a oasis of green. Good place to go with with your kid to play a bit. Has 2 playgrounds for different ages, also a restaurant really close.

Good for kids and dogs. În February 2022 alleys were paved with grey cubic granite and central area with calcium peebles improving water management during rain.

The Dimitrie Brândză Botanical Garden in Bucharest is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts. This stunning garden boasts an impressive collection of over 10,000 plant species, including rare and exotic varieties. Visitors can explore landscaped gardens, waterfalls, and vast greenhouses filled with a diverse array of plants. The garden also features aquatic plants, outdoor tropical flora, and species from hot regions.
Loved walking around the garden, it’s super calm and green, perfect for a slow afternoon. The greenhouse was really cool. Some parts felt a bit wild, but honestly, that added to the charm. Great place to chill or take nice photos!
Jessica — Google review
Overall its nice place, Not the best botanical garden but lovely. You can have some nice pictures near the pond (my wife has those pictures). I also recommend to buy the juice from the orange machine it was very fresh and tasty.
דניאל ב — Google review
Very nice, I suggest to visit if you came to Bucharest. Just for 3 € you can relax and enjoy nature, feed the ducks and see a lot of species of plants. The only thing is, I think the bathrooms are not so clean and overall they should take care of the little streets. Overall very beautiful!
Giulyontheroad — Google review
It’s an average botanical garden. Not the greatest I’ve visited, for sure. Signs were missing for some plants or were just wrong. It doesn’t have a great variety of plants either. I’ll have to come back in different seasons to give it another chance.
John F — Google review
Early August might not be the best time to visit the Botanical Garden in Bucharest… Almost everything was quite dry and poorly maintained. Compared to the Botanical Garden in Cluj, unfortunately this one is quite disappointing. ⚠️The ticket prices are divided by sections and only available for purchase at the entrance (where no one mentions that there are multiple sections you can visit…) or online. Adult entry 15 lei, museum 15 lei, greenhouses 15 lei… (Cluj 16 lei for everything) I could also talk about the security staff at the entrance… but better not.” The best thing we saw were the fish in the greenhouse.
Burghelea O — Google review
I am extremely disappointed with this botanical garden. The roads are bumpy and poorly maintained, and most of the flowers are dead. There is almost nothing to see, yet the ticket price is charged as if it were worth visiting – it is absolutely not. The benches look like they are from the last century and are tied together just so you can sit on them. There is a serious lack of toilets and basic facilities. I expected an educational and enjoyable experience for children, but instead, they learned nothing. This place feels abandoned and neglected, and it gets worse and worse over time. Definitely not worth a visit. ---
Pro C — Google review
We spent every day in this garden, the ticket for students is 2€ and it’s possible to pay by card. There are new clean toilets and even a little caffe shop with cakes
Lea T — Google review
Spacious gardens. Planting areas and some specimens are identified. Plenty seating areas. Kiosk style cafe with limited selections. Easy to get there by bus. It was too hot to go in the glasshouse.

Visitors can engage in activities like jogging, tennis, and roller skating while taking in the scenic surroundings. Izvor Park in Bucharest is a beautiful and relaxing green space right in the heart of the city. With its wide, open lawns, well-kept paths, and stunning views of the Palace of the Parliament, it’s the perfect place for a peaceful stroll, a jog, or a picnic with friends and family. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, Izvor Park is a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy a bit of nature amid the urban energy of Bucharest.
Alex A — Google review
Not bad, especially when there is an event there with food and drinks. I liked the idea that the kids playground is mimicking the parliament, but it really does not sit well for a playground...
Marin K — Google review
Beautiful and relaxing park with a great variety of trees and wild plants. Good view of the Palace of Parliament from the park.
Monkey M — Google review
Nice park with lots of trees and grass to chill. Amazing view of the parliament and the newly erected church behind it, both beautiful. The park isn't organised and not cleaned and maintained enough.
Panagiotis V — Google review

Bucharest Herăstrău Park, home to the oldest man-made lake in the city, offers a 7.4-kilometer scenic path along its banks. The park features magnificent cypress trees, numerous cafes and restaurants, playgrounds for children, and sports grounds including old-school workout equipment. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk around the lake or engage in activities like cycling, kayaking, and canoeing.
This park is an absolute gem in the heart of Bucharest! Perfect for a peaceful walk, family outings, or a boat ride on the lake. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with beautiful nature and wide paths that are ideal for walking or biking. The boat station is a fun highlight and adds a special charm. There are also playgrounds for kids and plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the view. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bucharest!

This park is Bucharest's equivalent of Central Park in New York. It's a green space that hosts important biodiversity for the city. It's also a popular spot for family outings, with playgrounds, sports facilities, and some of the best restaurants and clubs in town. A huge lake with a scenic path along the bank. There are many magnificent swamp green cypresses on the bank. You'll find many good cafes & restaurants here, playgrounds for children, sports grounds. One of the sports ground very old, iron & tough, especially for workout men & women) Only horizontal bar, ladder, rope with knots & pylon(look at it in the last photo)!!! A very good place for running in hot weather, because you are running all distance along the bank with beautiful landscape and in a shadow of trees.

The biggest park in Bucharest! We have enjoyed strolling throughout the park. One may choose to avail the bike rentals but be careful as the bike lanes are allotted in between pedestrian lanes. There are plenty of kiosks to buy local and commercial ice creams, baked goods and drinks. Likewise many restaurants to choose from. Nice view by the lake definitely! It can be crowded in the evening as many families spend time here. Some part of the park requires better maintenance otherwise really beautiful. You can rent a private paddling boat or just buy a ticket for 15 Lei for a 25 minute boat ride like we did because the weather was too hot. You'll better appreciate the place with this short boat tour but no audio guide available. We had late lunch at a big and busy restaurant calles Beraria. There are oftentimes a big event happening here during summer. Though we were surprised how the staffs acted efficiently and they all spoke fluent English as communication for locals was a huge problem in many places. We spend time here pleasurably by visiting at the last moment the the National village museum located also just near the park. An entrance fee of 15 lei for adults. We went there about 1hr before closing time (19:00) which is not enough. Better allot about 2 to 2.5 hours when visiting this museum. Worth the visit!

I.O.R. Park, also known as Parcul Alexandru Ioan Cuza or Titan Park, is a large and beautiful park located in Sector 3 of Bucharest. It is a popular destination for both outdoor enthusiasts and families with children due to its picturesque lake featuring five small islands, a charming wooden church, playgrounds, and various sports facilities.
I grew up in this park! The man-made lake is big and well maintained, offering multiple bridges to cross and get that perfect IG pic! You can jog on the soft jogger’s path along the lake, walk through the many walkable paths, let the kids play in one of the many play areas, admire exotic birds in the maintained pen, pop into Park Lake Mall for a coffee or some shopping, and more. It’s truly a beautiful park.

Absolutely stunning park! The perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. The walking trails are well-maintained, the green spaces are beautiful, and there are plenty of benches to sit and take in the peaceful atmosphere. It’s also great for families, with clean playgrounds and picnic areas. Whether you’re going for a morning jog or just a quiet afternoon, this park is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!
Rami H — Google review
Nice place to relax, playgrounds for kids, playground for dogs, dedicated track for jogging (not usable during the busy days), large lake in the middle, new fountains . Difficult to be reached and to enjoy for the people in a manual wheelchair ...works well for those in electric wheelchairs as there are tracks on different elevation levels connected with stairs or the alkey has a high gradient.
Marian D — Google review
It is the cleanest and well-maintained park in Bucharest in my opinion. It has a lake, greenery, trees, birds, benches, dustbins and free toilets. It's a wonderful park!
Pop M — Google review
One of the really nice places I visited in Bucharest was Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park and honestly I didn’t expect it to be this peaceful and beautiful. If you want to walk relax or just clear your mind this is the spot. There’s a big lake inside the park that gives the whole place a calming vibe. I walked around it the full loop is around 4 km so it’s perfect if you want a one hour walk. You don’t feel the time at all because you’re surrounded by nature the whole way. What caught my attention were the fountains in the middle of the lake. They’re simple but add a nice touch especially when the sunlight hits the water. You’ll also see a lot of ducks and turtles just chilling by the lake or swimming around. It really gives life to the park and makes it feel like you’re walking through something more than just trees and pathways. The park is full of green spaces big trees small bridges and quiet benches. Whether you’re alone or with someone it’s just a good place to sit down and enjoy. What I liked is that it’s not too crowded even on weekends. You see families people jogging walking dogs but it’s still calm. If you’re in Bucharest and looking for a chill place to walk have coffee or just disconnect from the city noise I’d definitely recommend this park. It’s one of those hidden gems that’s not always on the tourist list but gives you a real feel of the city’s peaceful side. Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park simple clean relaxing you’ll enjoy it for sure.
Abdulla S — Google review
It's a great place to roam around or just seat on grass or hang a hammock and relax. The park is really clean. And adding the fountain at the Lake as it's new night attraction. It's very close to where I leave and comes here with my son almost everyday. The only this missing is to have more proper Toilets around the park. Overall its a great place to spend with friends or family.

Kiseleff Park, established around 1832, is a charming green space nestled in northern Bucharest. Originally part of a forest, it was transformed into a park under the guidance of Karl Wilhelm Mayer and Prince Gheorghe Bibescu. While not as expansive as Herastrau or Tineretului parks, Kiseleff Park boasts stunning natural beauty with its lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and majestic trees that provide shade for visitors.

It's a great park. If you're lucky the street might be closed and there's a free festival happening. Plenty of shade, paths to walk, a playground for the little ones. Cafes aren't far away either of you need a coffee.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a beautiful park that was a true oasis of tranquility and fun for all ages. This park was a perfect blend of natural beauty and well-thought-out amenities, making it an ideal destination for families and individuals alike. The park was adorned with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and towering trees that provided ample shade on sunny days. As I strolled along the winding paths, I couldn't help but be captivated by the serenity of the surroundings. It was a place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect with nature. One of the standout features of this park was the abundance of benches strategically placed throughout the area. These benches provided an opportunity for visitors to relax and take in the scenic beauty. Whether you wanted to read a book, have a picnic, or simply enjoy a peaceful moment, there was always a bench nearby. For families with children, this park was a haven of entertainment. There were well-maintained playgrounds with swings, slides, and climbing structures that kept kids happily occupied. The laughter and energy of children at play added to the lively atmosphere of the park. In addition to the playgrounds, the park also boasted open spaces for picnics and sports activities. It was a common sight to see families enjoying a meal together or groups engaged in friendly games of frisbee or soccer. The park fostered a sense of community and togetherness. The park's thoughtful design also extended to facilities like clean restrooms and water fountains, which were conveniently scattered around the area. This attention to detail ensured that visitors had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. In conclusion, the beautiful park with its abundance of benches and diverse recreational offerings was a serene and enjoyable destination for all. Whether you sought a peaceful retreat to connect with nature or a place for your children to run and play, this park had it all. I left with a sense of contentment and a desire to return to this idyllic haven in the heart of the city.

Decent playgrounds but could improve. Green space not really maintained. Many trees, which is a plus in the summer, providing well needed shade.

I really enjoyed the walk on this park. I don't know if it was the large number of trees that made the difference or the beautiful lake, but the atmosphere was astonishing. I believe it is the best place in Bucharest to go on a sunny day of Spring and calm down, relax in a bench or walk to release the pressure of the day in the city.

In Bucharest's heart, I did roam, Through streets and markets, far from home. Muzeul Țăranului, a vibrant delight, Colors and treasures, a wondrous sight. With treasures in hand and heart aglow, To Kiseleff Park, I chose to go. A haven of peace, in the city's embrace, Nature's beauty, a tranquil space. Beneath the trees, their branches high, Whispers of leaves in the evening sky. Children's laughter and lovers' embrace, In this serene haven, I found my place. A bench of wrought iron, beneath the oak, Where melodies danced and time awoke. The setting sun, a painter's delight, Filling the world with soft, warm light. As day turned to night, the sky's grand show, Pastels and stars, a tranquil flow. In Bucharest's heart, this memory stays, A moment of beauty, in countless ways. Through Muzeul Țăranului and Kiseleff's grace, I found a connection, a peaceful embrace. In the heart of a city, bustling and bold, I discovered a story worth being told.

King Mihai I Park, also known as Herastrau Park, is a sprawling green space covering approximately 190 hectares in north-central Bucharest. It surrounds the picturesque Lake Herastrau and offers a variety of attractions for both locals and tourists. The park features charming lakeside cafes and restaurants, making it a popular destination for leisurely strolls and outdoor dining.
Really nice, very large park. Has a big pond/lake that you can rent boats, or take a ride on their tourist boat. Lots of different trails around. Many different monuments/busts of famous people scattered throughout the park. Lots of benches and shady spots to rest.
N M — Google review
this is such a lovely park, but many areas look neglected. We spent about 4 hours on Wednesday morning walking around, sitting by the lake and exploring the village museum which is connected to the park. There were a few people walking, running, and fishing. Also some people selling crafts or snacks. Overall, it is a very quiet relaxing time at big city park.
B N — Google review
The biggest park in Bucharest. The alleys in some sections are literally breaking, most clearly noticed by those who choose to ride bicycles. In other places, the banks are about to collapse, this is best seen in winter when there is no water in the lake. I expect this park to be managed soon by an involved person who will bring out its true potential, through some very necessary and urgent changes and consolidations, which will highlight the charm that this place has.

Autumn at its best, lakeside views, boating, saw Osage orange trees, turtles; Hard Rock cafe and multiple stalls selling a variety of foods (we had fresh orange juice and corn). You can relax and unwind the whole day. Close to Arc De Triumph.

Drumul Taberei Park is a vibrant urban oasis nestled in the heart of Bucharest's Sector 6, spanning an impressive 30 hectares. This beloved neighborhood park, originally established in the early 1960s on land once used for aircraft testing by ICAR Company, has become a cherished retreat for locals and visitors alike. The park features a picturesque recreational lake adorned with the iconic Bengaules Bridge, alongside various amenities such as tennis courts, football fields, and even a skate park.
The place is amazing during Christmas time. There are lots of places to get hot chocolate, food, to walk around and just enjoy the music. I bet the park looks even better during summer time.
Andrealina A — Google review
Nice place to spend time with family. Well kept, lots of shadowed places, playgrounds and a soft running lane. Plus an indoor botanical garden. I miss a place to buy a beverage. Or at least an automatic beverage dispenser. I hate when they use this park for Christmas Fair. Too long, to loud and it attracts many questionable characters. This should be a place to rest all year long.
Adrian — Google review
Relaxing place with a lot of 'green'. A fairly well-maintained park with several playgrounds for children; running track for adults and young people for practice. There is a small lake where you can ride pedal boats and admire the surroundings. In the middle of the park is a nice illuminated bridge that you can walk on and relax. Nearby there are few places where you can enjoy a well-deserved break.

It's absolutely worth visiting even as a tourist in Bucharest: the city has many beautiful parks, but this one is really wonderful and very well maintained. There's a nice lake, a bridge with exciting architecture, a botanical garden, a small museum with sculptures made from motorbike parts, a light hedge maze, toilets, etc., all free of charge. Right next to the M5 metro stop. In winter there is also an skating rink and a Christmas market.
Peter — Google review
A park where you can walk in peace, with many landscaped spaces and lots of greenery. The spaces designed for children, adults and even for dogs, which can be accessed in the evening, being a beautifully lit park. Of note are the modern metal constructions, such as the illuminated bridge and the botanical garden that can be visited. Of course you can enjoy a ride with a hydrobike.

A lovely and large park. During Christmas there is one of the lovely Christmas markets there. There are lots and lots of food and drink stalls, clothes and souvenirs. There are lots and lots of activities for children and young people, there is ice skating, a Ferris wheel, and a place for performances. I highly recommend not giving up.

If you're planning a family outing in Bucharest, Zoo Bucharest is an absolute must-visit! This delightful animal attraction boasts around 100 species, making it a fantastic destination for wildlife enthusiasts of all ages. As you stroll through the lush gardens, you'll be captivated by exotic birds and have the chance to observe fascinating creatures like mountain lions and snow wolves. The zoo also features an aquarium that will surely delight your little ones.
We had a good time. Our little one enjoyed being pulled in the little cart and also pushed it around. The cages were well maintained and clean. We didn't see all the animals, being so hot outside, and it being the afternoon, most animals were taking a nap during our visit. The smaller enclosures, especially for the monkeys and smaller animals, were made up quite creative with a lot of toys for them to play with.
Jenny T — Google review
Good zoo that is a few steps below some of the great zoos. However they have an excellent brown bear and tiger exhibit. Nice way to spend an hour or 90 minutes.
Keith H — Google review
A pleasant memory with my niece. She enjoyed seeing all the animals and getting to know about them a bit. We played some games and had fun. It would have been nice if the information about the animals were more kid friendly: more games and pictures about the information rather than pure text. For instance find 5 reptiles which eat bugs. I would have surely lease a tool to help my niece learn easier. All in all very nice experience, especially for children.
Nima P — Google review
Decently sized zoo, except for the animal enclosures. They definitely should be a lot larger. The eagles flap their wings two times and they already reach the end of the enclosure. Some of the big cats have it better, but they still could be improved. The crocodile barely has enough space.
Andrei D — Google review
This zoo has some potential, but it seemed like the management could take care of the zoo a little more. It could use a wider selection of animals in comparison to other zoos in Romania like Brasov and Sibiu. Some of the enclosures were rather small for the animals. The reptile house was a little better and the reptile habitats were decent. It was good to check out this zoo, but would probably not come back again.
Ruth B — Google review
Quite small zoo. I felt sorry for several animals. The brown bear was worst, it seemed not to be well at all. Some parts were not too tidy. There were also fences and covers on them. It was hard to see to some cages. Cheap entry, but I don't want to support a place like this at all.

Nice park to take a walk. It can be a really quiet place during winter when few people take to this park. Văcărești Nature Park, the first urban nature park in Romania, was established in 2016 through the efforts of the Văcărești Nature Park Association. Situated just five kilometers from downtown Bucharest, this protected lakeland spans 183 hectares and features walking paths and observation hides for birdwatching. The park's creation involved reclaiming land that had been abandoned after a Communist-era hydro-technic project.

Stunning natural park. A real treat to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and its right there in the centre.
Jo W — Google review
I don’t know what to think of this place along with the city of Bucharest. It feels like you’re in a nuclear war zone, like a scene in The Last of Us. It doesn’t seem maintained like a park and it was really dry when we went at the end of the summer. I couldn’t tell it was a delta. That’s all a summary of what people have said in their reviews… but I realized this is what people miss: 🌾 It’s not meant to be a classic recreational park and more an area for natural exploration 🌾 Unique landscape in the middle of the city 🌾 Wild birds, reptiles and other rare species 🌾 If you’re into apocalyptic landscapes this place is a gold mine It may not be for everyone but after traveling to 31 countries, I can confirm this is truly a unique thing to see in a city. It’s definitely something that could belong in Atlas Obscura. It really could use some better facilities like a nice stairway though.

There are two parks: Plumbuita I and Plumbuita II, but they are alike))) There is no rubber path for running, but it is a good two-lane road along the bank of the lakes without any cars! Many playgrounds for children, a lot of shades(thanks to old big trees), WC, taps with fresh water.

Terrible music tonight, 15th of June 2025, bored crowded (mainly youngsters with no energy) and overpriced drinks.Tons of noise and people who were not even having fun or enjoying themselves while being there. Went to Q Club with some ex colleagues from work and everyone felt disappointed as we were hoping for so much more but the DJ set managed to destroy every good iconic track that was played. Don’t think we’ll repeat the experience as there were more people outside than inside which should make the owner think twice before having international DJs. Overpriced, overrated and dissatisfying all together. Do not recommend :(
Lucian R — Google review
One of the best clubs in Bucharest. Good service, good drinks (that actually have alcohol in them), great music including Nicky Minaj, INNA, Dua Lipa etc. The club itself is very instragam-able, very visually-pleasing but the only downside that i found was about the bathroom being a common one as it is a queer club so this is where a few people would draw the line but judging from the volume of people coming there should be at least 2 bathrooms and not just one (common or separate). Thank you for an awesome experience, you will feel safe in here because the bodyguards and staff are always looking for your safety.

tried going for the pride party, there were more than 50 people in line trying to get in (yeah, i counted) & they did not let any more people in who did not pre-purchase online tickets. we get that the space is limited, but they should have specified before that they’ll stop letting people in, we made it all the way here for nothing.

Nothing is about the customer. They have many many people in the community to bring people in. Your enjoyment means nothing. Your money means everything.
Alex H — Google review
It used to be good music a couple of years ago, but the DJ they bring every week does a bad job. Awful music with weird and noisy transitions. The Uber driver's radio has better music, quite frankly. Today was the worst, we left at 1.30 Owners, you don't have to take your clients for granted just because you don't have competition. You are a gay club, go in Western Europe and see how it is done, raise the bar. For now, my friends and I won't come there more than once every 6-7 weeks. Why renovate and have a nice place, but still not address the music issue...
Adi A — Google review
Americans currently visiting Romania (September 2022) and this seems to be the only gay club option in Bucharest, nonetheless it's a good option! Had a blast here two nights in a row over the weekend, one of those nights being a glow in the dark paint party. The drinks are MUCH cheaper than in the U.S. for decent quality of liquor you get (55 lei ~ $11 for 2 vodka sodas, or about $5 per Absolut and soda; they use Jamieson as their well whiskey). We met a lot of fun and friendly people here, both locals and other tourists. In terms of music, on Friday night it seemed to mostly be older 70s and 80s music, which we are not into, but as the night progressed the music got better and more modern. When we come back to Romania we will definitely come back here!
Dan J — Google review
The club is very spacious and I like the atmosphere and visual effects. However, the music wasn't really for my taste; there were too many remixes that didn't really match. Overall it was a good experience, but I would adjust the playlist a bit.

The park also has football, volleyball and basketball courts free to use!
An amazing park both for kids and adults. ❤️ Love it! Every time I get here, I feel relaxed. I like to have long walks, by foot, or with my mini scooter. I like the aleys, they are long and good for walking. The whole park is clean, and you feel safe to walk around. The kids have many playgrounds, and fields to practice sports. You can even run here. There is a special running place. 🥰

Part of the biggest amusement park in Bucharest, this is the best option for bringing your kids throughout the week and especially in the weekend, when it's very animated. Also good for adults and eldery people, as you can enjoy the benefits of a walk, fitness devices or special spots for making your own barbecue.

Great for walks Monday-Friday, but during the weekends it is way too overcrowded. There are public restrooms and plenty of benches and stalls with snacks. There is some gym-like exercising equipment, but most of it is rusty, hence the 4/5 rating. They have lovely gazebos and those are perfect for small parties, as they have tables and benches and are situated in three different, but equally lovely, spots around the park. There are also football, volleyball and basketball courts. Free to use!

🌳 Titan Park – Our Favorite Place in Bucharest! 🇷🇴🇱🇰 We’re from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, and one of our favorite ways to enjoy our free days in Bucharest is by visiting Titan Park (also known as Alexandru Ioan Cuza Park). This place is absolutely beautiful — clean, green, and peaceful. Whether you want to relax by the lake, take a walk, go for a run, or just sit under the trees and unwind, this park has it all. We love: • The huge lake with boats and ducks 🦆 • The peaceful walking paths and cycling lanes 🚴 • Fun playgrounds and rides for kids 🎠 • Lots of space to sit, relax, or even do a picnic 🧺 • The vibe – calm, friendly, and family-safe 🌿 It’s one of the best parks we’ve seen in Europe, and it’s right in the city! On weekends, it gets lively with people, events, and sometimes little markets. A perfect escape without going too far from home. We highly recommend this place if you’re in Bucharest and looking for nature, relaxation, or just a nice walk. Titan Park = perfect peaceful days for us 🇱🇰❤️🇷🇴

Circus Park, also known as Parcul Circului, is a charming park located in Bucuresti. Established in 1961, the park features a picturesque lake with a natural spring at its center and beautiful Egyptian lilies surrounding it. The park offers walking paths, playgrounds for children, and is popular among families and joggers. It's well-maintained and filled with greenery including rare lotus flowers during late summer and autumn.
I love this park. It’s small, but the vegetation is nice. It has a lake right in the middle and good playgrounds for children. Always clean. The circus is an interesting building to see from the outside.
Irina H — Google review
I really like this park and I'm glad we ended up living nearby with the kids. It's well-kept and has a great variety of plants, but it still feels natural - like a carefully tended, picturesque forest. The terrain is not flat either; gentle hills give it a nice, almost three-dimensional landscape that you rarely see in the city. There are a few downsides, though. In the summer, when it gets really hot, the park service doesn't seem to pay enough attention to it, and by midsummer, some parts of the park are burnt and dry. Some trees have died - the pine trees are so charred that they'll probably be cut down this year. I don't know if it's technically difficult. But it's a shame about the trees, which are many years old. I don't think the park needs any modernization. Yes, it still looks like it did in the 1990s or 2000s, and of course the stairs and paths are outdated. But I would prefer if they invested in proper irrigation. A good example is TEI Park, which has a watering system and does not turn into a dry garden in the summer. Overall, it is a lovely, cozy park with few visitors. It is well maintained - but, strangely, it still suffers from watering problems.
Den — Google review
When I came to this park for the first time, I really enjoyed visiting and exploring here. There are so many cute ducks in this park, and there were also many turtles. The view is very beautiful in the evening when the sun is slowly down, and I liked the park. Thank you.
Muza A — Google review
The Circus Park, established in 1961, features a natural spring at the center of its pond, surrounded by beautiful Egyptian lilies. While it may not be the most picturesque park, it serves the community well. In the evenings, it's filled with families and children playing on the playground. During my morning jogs, it's a hub for runners and dog walkers. The park truly lives and breathes with the neighborhood. The occasional circus performances are a bonus, adding to the park's multifaceted appeal. This park is a vital, breathing lung for the area, essential to the community.
The A — Google review
Has to be one of the coolest parks in the city. There are many and this one is nice for sure. The lake has great vegetation and wildlife frogs and turtles a plenty. The circus looks interesting and the playgrounds are awesome!
Nick P — Google review
Very nice ambient, filled with lots of trees, therefore enough shadowed resting points. The central lake iz beautiful with lots of turtles, resting on the sun, and many little fishes, hiding beneath the lotus leaves. A perfect place for a walk with children as there are many playgrounds. There are also many benches for resting. We've enjoyed a lot.
Romeo P — Google review
Wonderful nature spot. Recommended for a relaxing walk, jogging or picnic. Children and pet friendly with multiple playgrounds. In the summer you may admire the Lotus flowers on the lake and enjoy the cute turtles playing in the water. Enjoy!

I know I biased, but this park is a marvel! It's one of the most beautiful places in Bucharest, with lots of wonderful plants (the water lilies are the most impressive, but they alone would be just flowers on a lake) and water animals and clean and lean and varied alleys - it's a true oasis! But don't believe me on my words - go see it for yourselves! ;)

A not to large parc, recently renovated by the local authorities, and transformed from an abandoned dump into a wonderful place to enjoy nature. Nealty organised, with alleyways covered with small rocks and large wooden benches, you can stroll around it and watch many birds. Perhaps a bit too far from the city center, and not easy to reach with public transport, but still worth the efort. A modern public toilet and bicycle rack are available at the entrance, since cyclying is not permitted inside.

Pros - really nice park - lots of spots for cool photos - really clean - relaxing Cons - it's not open 24/7 - it's pretty small - no playground Conclusion You should definitely pay a visit to this park

Small park with lots of birds. Great for a short walk in springtime when it's nesting time.
Roxana I — Google review
One of the most beautiful and wildest place in the Bucharest. If you want a little place of wilderness in the middle of concrete and bitum city.
Matei E — Google review
Beautiful little park with an island and lots of wild life. Used to be abandoned and used for sand to build bottles but a few years ago they made it up very naturey like, not even paved alleyways.
Victor P — Google review
A beautiful natural park with lots of trees, a lake with reed and two walkways over the lake.
Silviu S — Google review
The park was a beautiful surprise because it was properly cleaned and restored to people in order to enjoy nature. It has everything you need for a nice stroll, the alleys, the benches, public toilet, proper lighting. Be aware that the park has no children playground, but it has beautiful bridges over the water from where you can see ducks eating and swimming.

Parcul "Liniei" in Sector 6 Bucharest is not your average urban park. It has transformed from a dumping ground into a vibrant and valuable green space, offering various amenities for visitors to enjoy. The park features two basketball courts, a skatepark, a pirate ship playground, cycling tracks, picnic areas, public toilets, and more.
Very nice, quiet, modern park near the residential area. Its dog friendly and there are playgrounds for kids, designated spot where you can play table tennis, charging ports, public toilets and picnic tables. The park is quite big and perfect for going on a run, taking a walk or even having a conversation with your friends in the cabanas
Keti S — Google review
The park is very charming and modern, successfully meeting many of the needs of the local residents. It features dog areas, basketball courts, ping pong tables, pavilions where you can work, playgrounds for children, and hammocks for relaxation. Personally, I find it quite impressive. I’m looking forward to the be construction of the next phase of the park.
Adriana T — Google review
It's a very cool park with lots to do for all ages. It's a bit busier at the weekends, but maybe that's because it's all new and fresh. I'm looking forward to the third phase, which will make the park really, really long.

We have to change our mind of what we think of an urban park. The new Parcul Liniei Linear Park in Sector 6 Bucharest is more than that: it is a free Agreement Park, an outstanding Playground with two Basketball Courts and an Skatepark, a Pirate Ship, a Cycling track, a Relaxing Area, a Pump Track, picnic areas, public toilets, water fountains, a lot of fun and more. This area was a dumping ground for years and now it is a very valuable and healthy Green Belt. Thank you for the miracle!

Great new clean long Park! It has everything a modern park might need.
Florin G — Google review
The first phase of the park is very nice.I didn't expect it actually, to be so clean, and even if it is not big, it's narrowed paths are nicely designed. And, it is a source of joy for kids as there arye plenty of stuff on the playground. Plus the basketball court is another benefit.
Laura G — Google review
It was first opened on 1 of June. It is narrow and quite long, hence the name. It is nicely furbished, and a bunch of trees and grenery were planted. It has a fiew sport fields, some swings, and artezian fountain. It has public toilets, didn't see any place for dogs. Hope they keep up the good work and continue to do faze 2 and 3 of this unusual shaped park.

Parcul Sfântul Pantelimon has undergone significant restoration, with an abundance of greenery and trees enhancing its overall cleanliness. Although the lake remains somewhat polluted, the park offers an enjoyable experience. Visitors should note that it is not pet-friendly and may be subject to fines by law enforcement.
Now much cleaner than previous years after it was restored with much grass and trees. the lake is still dirty, not as much as before but still dirty. Anyway, it's enjoyable. Poorly it's not a pet friendly park, so be careful, police may fee you.

Botanical garden
Drumul Taberei Park's Greenhouses offer a delightful escape into the world of plants, reminiscent of a botanical garden experience. With seven distinct greenhouses showcasing Mediterranean and tropical flora, visitors can enjoy a free guided tour every 20 minutes without needing to book in advance. The well-maintained facilities allow small groups—typically up to 12 people, though currently limited to 7 due to health guidelines—to explore the vibrant plant life with knowledgeable guides who are eager to answer questions.
I visited this greenhouse, and I've gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised! They're doing things right. First off, they've got this cool deal where you can get in for free every 30 minutes. No need to book ahead, just show up. And even if there's a line, you won't be twiddling your thumbs for too long – the wait time is a max of 30 minutes. Plus, they throw in a free guide, which is a sweet bonus. You can tell they take good care of the place – it's super well maintained. And the cherry on top? Those flowers, man, they're absolutely stunning. It's like a botanical wonderland in there. So if you're into greenery and flowers, you've gotta check this spot out! 🌼🌿🏡

Botanical garden with seven greenhouses. Free guided tours every half hour. Coming from the metro station, the entrance was on the left, with the times next to it. The guide lady arrived on time, but unfortunately she only spoke Romanian. Because of this, she moved very quickly through the buildings, but showed us everything. The greenhouses had a pleasant climate, neither hot nor humid.
Peter — Google review
truly an amazing place, the entrance is free and you have to wait in front of the first greenhouse so a guide can let you in to explore everything 😊 we’ve also been taught different things about most of the plants there which was a bonus 🌺 we highly recommend this place not only for plant lovers but also for people who want to find out what nature has to offer ♥️
Elisa M — Google review
A nice experience and since I'm from the neighborhood - a must see. There are 7 greenhouses, all included in the free guided tour. There is only one entrance and one exit. A tour is every 20 mins. You'll have to wait depending when you arrived and you'll be escorted after the other group finished the visit. The guide answered to all my questions. The fruits that grow there are not for sale. Depending on the season you'll see different plants blooming or trees bearing fruit. The only thing that may be a disadvantage is that you're always in groups, generally with parents with kids, so it's hard to pay attention only to the guide, which has a lot of info to share on a small amount of time. You stay for 2-3 minutes in a single greenhouse and there are enough plants to see and interesting new things & namings to take in. I went there 3 times and just when I had my first experience I listened closely and remained with 2-3 ideas from the guide. It was at the beginning when there were two women per tour to explain and supervise.

Unique attraction for adults and children! 🔝 I discovered the 7 greenhouses in Drumul Taberei park by chance while searching the internet for an alternative to the Botanical Garden for an excursion - educational program with school during "Green Week". These greenhouses have been visited since 2020. They have an area of 1,500 square meters that houses approximately 4,000 plants from 300 species. Among the spectacular plants that can be admired are the peace lily, the weeping ficus, the 300-year-old olive tree brought from Greece, but also palm trees over 50 years old, mango, avocado and many others. Visitors can discover plants of impressive size, some reaching even 10 m in height. Very well organized tour of the greenhouses, with explanations and definitely with prior telephone reservation. The guided tour with all the necessary explanations is free of charge and lasts half an hour. Visited March 2025

Excellent experience for adults and kids, entrance is free, green certificate required. The tour is guided and the guide is very knowledgeable. Overall a great experience. Bonus, the kids received a banana each, collected directly from the tree by the guide. Photos are allowed and I did over 60.

Nice greenhouses in Drumul Taberei park, feels like you are visiting Botanical Garden. There are 7 of them, each with different area plants (mediteranean, tropical etc), well designed, even that the sections are small. Well worth the visit, that is free of charge. You can enter only in small groups, normally 12 pers/group (these times, with the pandemic, only 7pers/group) and with guidance from ladies that present each section. You don't need appointment for less than 3 people. For larger groups contact by email "sere@primarie6.ro" (they respond quickly). The visit takes half an hour. Well worth it.
Gabriela S — Google review
A wonderful experience! The guided tour made the visit even more special — the guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate about the plants. The greenhouses are beautifully kept and full of life.

Park
Parcul Obor is a delightful urban oasis that offers a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. This park is an ideal spot for families, featuring two nearby playgrounds where children can play freely. Whether you're in the mood for a leisurely stroll, riding your bike or scooter, or engaging in some friendly badminton matches, Parcul Obor has it all. The surrounding area boasts several stores, making it convenient to grab a snack while enjoying the outdoors.
Probably the best place to stay in Sighisoara! This place is totally remade from a very old traditional house. It is amazing how it is rebuilt with respect to the existing architecture and materials. Besides they serve a great breakfast and they've got a lovely staff working in here, always smiling, always helpful. Congratulations!!!

A nice little park with fountains, coffee vending machines, picnic tables, public toilets, playground, basketball/soccer area, dog park and plenty benches to sit on.
Lucas P — Google review
It's a good place to relax or play a sport in this park, but I see that the equipment is not being replaced as often as I expected. At the time I'm writing this review, on February 2024, the basketball hoops are rusty, the faucets you can see around the park are clogged, maybe because the sewerage system is broken right now. My recommendation is to visit this park (any park actually) at summer.

A nice place to relax and unwind. Well maintained, it offers nicely trimmed trees, regularly cut grass, and clean benches. The water fountains add serenity and relaxation in a otherwise busy area of the city. Kids will love the playgrounds -- safe and clean.
Ion G — Google review
I honestly love this park and I visit it everyday. it's a great place to bring children due to the 2 parks nearby, and it's also a good place for playing badminton, riding your bike, scooter or taking a simple stroll around the place. there are also quite a few stores nearby, which is great, knowing that if you're in the park and wanting a snack, you could go to the nearby stores. it's a great place to visit in my opinion, 5 stars :)
