Very nice place, mexican themed inside and outside, staff (guy with tattoo on arm, and he had high crocks slippers) was very polite, welcoming and also speaks english, he described all of the different tacos, he was friendly, smiled and even made us laugh, 5 stars, we had 5 different tacos with spicy sauce and we had some homemade nachos which were absolutely phenomenal (they looked so good i forgot to take a picture) plus the raspberry lemonade was to die for! , a new experience, 5 stars overall

I came here driven by all the hype and glowing recommendations, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. While the food arrived quickly and the plating looked great, the taste was underwhelming. I tried five different tacos, but they all tasted more or less the same — there was little to no flavor distinction, and the overall experience felt bland. The quesadillas were the only item that had a bit of character, which saved the meal from being a total disappointment. The menu is quite limited, and given the high prices, I was expecting something a lot more memorable. The place is also quite cramped and noisy, which made it hard to enjoy what little there was to enjoy. To be honest, I ate just for the sake of saying I tried it. Maybe if the prices were more reasonable and the hype more grounded, I wouldn’t have left feeling so disappointed.

The food was great. I ordered the nopales and vegan tacos. The vegan tacos had soya which was very chewy. Take that as you want. I ordered 50 tacos for myself… don’t be like me! Don’t worry food did not go to waste, our large group finished everything. Food is a bit pricy.

This place was great. We were greeted by a saranade singer from Mexico who serenaded us privately just because she was excited we were from Scandinavia. Her husband played the beautiful guitar to accompany her effortless voice. The food was great! Tasty and not at all expensive - and great drinks! Felt like a little Mexican pearl right in the middle of Bucharest.

Plate for 2 was good, especially the taquittos. Had a piece of beef burrito from a friend, that was even better. But even better than the food was the mariachi band playing there. Real south-americans, speaking spanish and they made a great atmosphere. Good entertainment.

The Atmosphere is great, they did a good job authenticating the feel and vibe of Mexico. 🇲🇽 the service especially from the girl upfront with the black hair is horrible. We were waiting for 38 min and no one came to take our food order I had to get up and say something to one of the other waiters for them to come take our order . I understand is busy but it’s 5 waiters so I don’t think it should have taken 38 minutes. Also we told the waitress we were ready to order and she ignored us . She was more interested in helping the larger parties I guess for tips but she would have gotten more from me if she would have been more helpful. She was arrogant ignorant and rude . She blatantly refused to help us . So here’s the break down . Micheladas gets a 6 out of 10 Chips with guac 4 out of 10. Service gets negative zero atmosphere gets a 10 because of the vibe and decor and the mariachi’s . Other than that coming from someone that has Mexican food 2 times a week in California, was nothing to write home about. Maybe get better servers and from hostesses service and it would probably get more service . This is a hot tourist spot with the parliament and for a Saturday near the parliament and old town Bucharest it was pretty dead even with the singers . Have better service and you will definitely get better reviews. Especially because tourist read reviews and make decisions on where to eat in another country . I went to el toro in California USA and this is not even close to the original. I would definitely have spent more money if I got better service and if u had attentive waitresses .

The best Mexican food place so far! Best drinks and sauces! Alambre de arrachera highly recommend! Also chipotle Mary cocktail for bloody Mary lovers) it's wonderful!

One of the best taco spots in Bucharest! Our go-to place whenever we’re craving something fresh and flavorful. We always come back for the shrimp and mango taco, the combination is simply perfect. We never skip the patatas bravas either, they’re the perfect side. That said, the whole menu is worth exploring, every taco we’ve tried has been unique and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is friendly, and the ingredients are always top quality. Highly recommended!

I’m not big on Tacos, haven’t tried many restaurants like this, so take what I say with a grain of salt. But for me these were definitely the best Tacos I have ever had. The place it’s a bit small and it took a bit for the food to arrive, but it was all worth it, very good quality & tasty!

Tasty french burritos, but not as flavorful and satiating as the ones I had in Constanta city, perhaps I need to try different varieties. The prices are also a bit steep for that area of the city. Also when ordering from food app, they don’t give the grilled chicken option for meat, but they have it in the restaurant. I was disappointed they don’t have rice to replace the potato fries as I enjoy the burritos with rice better. I will return and test out some more french tacos! Recommend if you’re hungry. EDIT: had a 2nd visit to the restaurant, this time got chicken burrito L size, same applies that they cannot swap fries with something else, portion was good and tasty and worth the price.

They messed up my order ! I ordered a medium taco with beef and cordon bleu and recieved a taco with fries and cabbage and no trace of meat in it. It was disgusting i had to throw it away. Very disappointing!

The menu here is amazing. This is what I believe is called a high end restaurant, so be prepared to spend some LEI. For two people, one shared appetizer, two meals, two great drinks, coffee, and dessert, we spent about $158, or 500plus lei. There service was great. Dining in the evening outside is pleasant, and the food was delicious. Treat yourself.

Fantastic restaurant from the beginning to the end! We shared the mixed plate with hummus, eggplant, fresh salad with warm bread. Absolutely delicious and refined. Then we had the lamb and the sea bass. Everything was cooked to perfection and very tasteful and Subtil. Amazing desserts: millefeuille and halva parfait.

It's a lovely restaurant with great service. The food was tasty, and we really enjoyed the local wine, but the prices are ridiculously high, and feel disproportionate for Bucharest.

We wanted to try this place because they have various types of food. We tried burgers, buns were too dry and they were not homemade, meat was overcooked, and service was too slow. Nothing interesting to see or talk about, not cheap as well. Fries were too oily and not good enough for us, honesty would not recommend.

Decent burgers, by far not the best in town. The bun wasn't the freshest, being a bit dry, and the meat was a bit chewy, fries were rather cold. But the flavor combos were quite nice. Would have loved some sauce for the fries. Friendly service, good prices given the location. Would go back to try their mussels.

An average restaurant in the old town area. Nice interior and polite service but Burgers are not special. Just average.

Mediocre on several levels. Poor service. Only three fish options one of which could not be done due to lack of ingredients. Chose the mussels but requested no chili but got chili anyway! Hardly a substantial dish in that many of the mussels were inedible and the so-called croutons were like stale pieces of bread. No Coca Cola, only Pepsi, and so took option of 7-Up.

I had a different level of expectations from this place given the fact that it is owned by one of the most popular chefs in Romania...

Toilets weren't clean, weren't well maintained. Waiters were interested in with another things, seafood was below the average but tasty. If you want risc your lunch may be an option if not even don't pass by closer.

Super delicious fast food chain, they always serve their pastries fresh and hot, very affordable, a great choice for a fast snack, a bit addictive i’d say, we ate there 6 times in 2 days ahah. Ps: it’s just kiosks, there is no place to sit

This place is cheap and a proper local bakery. They have various stores around town. If a food place is busy and full of locals that in itself shows that it’s a good well-known place. The bread is fluffy, soft and has a nice taste. The fillings also are good and the breads are well filled. The pastries was also very good. All is made in store. Much recommended place to try if you’re in Bucharest. Look at the quality of food and not so much at the staff…as different branches will vary in staff and not all are friendly but food quality is all on a same level.

Delicious warm tiny baguettes encasing a choice of sausage, ham, cheese, sour cabbage or Nutella. Around 5-6 lei each. They take card like everywhere. Great snack or breakfast. You just buy from the window and eat on the go. Recommend

I was at Luca's for lunch, it was excellent... quality/price ratio, highly recommended if you want to eat something local and take away.

We got two of the strudels here, two of the lucas, and one pretzel with cheese on it! All for 16 RON, and it was a fabulous lunch. My husband really enjoyed the covri Luca (with a hot dog inside) and I loved the Luca haiducesc (with ham and like an onion cream cheese in it). The strudels were perfect- flaky and delicious! And the Covrigelul cu vișine (which was the pretzel with cheese baked on) was exquisite!

Amazing pastries. Really tasty and affordable prices. It’s really busy all the time, that’s mean everything is really fresh. My favorite pastries are merdenele and they have also pastries with chocolate, sour cherry, peaches, apple etc. If u look for something to eat really fast and to be also tasty and healthy, this is the place.

I was in Bucharest for work and wanted an interesting culinary experience, so I came across Papila. At first, I was drawn by their ramen photos on Google (worth mentioning that ramen is served only on Sundays). I went on a Tuesday without a booking (not sure if usually needed mid-week so please check), and the staff were very kind and attentive. They even set up a lovely table for me outside, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The menu is clear and structured around three different sets. You always need to pair a first and a second dish together. What I think is not okay is that on Google it still shows you can order two firsts, which is unfortunately not the case anymore. This should be clarified, as it could be misleading. For food, I had the chicken liver parfait, which was excellent, followed by the lamb, which was beautifully prepared. For dessert, I went with the mango rice in coconut spinach sauce with black seeds and pralines – truly delicious. I started with a glass of cava and then a Spanish red (Rioja), both perfectly chosen. What I loved most is that Papila feels like it has a strong soul – you can sense the effort, care, and ambition behind it, and that they hold on to their standards. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d gladly come back.

Even better than anticipated! Beetroot salad was wonderfully different from what I've had previously elsewhere, perfectly balanced. The seaberry ginger lemonade with sparkling water was incredibly refreshing and tasty. Service was really great, very helpful and attentive. An exceptional place with impeccable service and truly extraordinary food! I went last night for my birthday and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I booked for me and my boyfriend, and we also brought our two little dogs — they were welcomed right away, even with a blanket just for them! I’m vegan, so I had asked in advance if they could adapt something from the menu, and not only did they say yes, but when we arrived they treated me amazingly, giving me great suggestions and so much care throughout the evening. I’ve honestly never had such a wonderful dining experience. Highly, highly recommended! Thank you again for making my birthday so special ❤️

Pretty good food. Not necessarily the freshest or most aromatic but it's very solid, especially for the price, and the sauces are quite good. If I were to make any recommendations, I'd try getting beans rather than rice on items that need fillings - the rice is a little bland, while the beans are nicely cooked and actually pretty tasty. All in all a pretty stand-out choice among other places nearby for some quick food.

The best mexican food in town. Small cozy place, lovely staff, always on point with serving and helping the clients make a choice when they seem disoriented. The prices are insanely low for this city and the placement, but hey, who can complain about low prices for top premium food? You have a reasonable selection of food, how and cold beverages, the waiting time is minimum, everything is damn sparkly clean. The recipes are all hand made, with passion and the main cook has no problem in telling me how he's making it. We're old friends also.

If you want something light to make your tummy happy this is the place to go. Mexican style food, quick service, good ingredients and plenty of vegan vegetarian options to make people happy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Usually the place is crowded so you might have to stand in line. My pro top get some tacos eat them next to the Romanian atheneul you have benches over there.

I tried almost every vegetarian item and all of them were very tasty but I do not like the way the staff treat the customers. They are usually rude like they want you to order and leave asap which makes me very uncomfortable.

Out of this world, we ordered 3 dishes, enjoyed every single bite, everything was so tasty and i can tell the ingrédients are fresh and good because we had no discomfort afterwards. Even though I came here with no expectations this place turned out to amaze me positively in si many ways. I have served the BURRITO BORACHERO, the NACHOS DIA DE LOS MUERTOS and also a vegan this they did not even had on the menu, but by our requests they have prepared it for us. 10/10🌯

Lovely staff, friendly, attentive and ready to give food recommendations. There aren't any vegetarian options on the menu, but the waiter created a lovely vegetarian quesedilla for me. I felt welcome, the food was yummy and we were happy. Also: they have a few different options for hot sauces available. I would definitely come again.

The BEST mexican food not only in Bucharest but overall! I am from Greece and never had such good quality mexican food!!! The prices, service, portions and flavors were TOO good to be true! I recommend it fully and PLEASE eat their cheesecake and tacos de manzana y queso, never have i had such excellent balanced desserts!

This was the second time coming into this restaurant to dine. Though the first time was ok, this time they knocked it out of the park. Can't go wrong with a burrito, I adored the Burrito Navajo (carne asada), will most likely come back to eat it again. Tasted the Chimichanga Pueblo (chicken), it was ok, unfortunately it was competing against the A tier burrito. For drinks I did enjoy the Rosalinda, the olmeca gave it a nice bittersweet tang. While it is a 37 lei cocktail, you can definitely feel the liquor in it. Worth your money.

The place is very busy but what really hit us (we been multiple times) was the team. Everyone from the kitchen to the front people are amazing, always ready to help, always with a smile, ready to joke and make the experience nicer, the food is very tasty, but really this team is very busy, approach them with a smile and you will see that they are all super nice and friendly. Just the owners should hire more people as often they seem literally assaulted by the number of customers. Anyways big mega thank you to the whole team! Mulțumesc!

We waited about 15-20 minutes and finally food was not delicious and cold, it was like just chicken with salad, nothing else. Last time, when we visited this place.

If you are suffering from a lack of staff, just hire them. We are not able to wait till they come from WC

I guess 🤷 *** So, I'm super excited: just put an order through Glovo, I'm super anxious, wondering if this will be THE FOURTH time I get an incomplete order🫢 Before you think I'm insane, my orders are on average 2-3 weeks apart, I consider fast food more like an immunity dare than actual food, still, I have a persistent memory of my past 3 orders being incomplete in some annoying way or the other: missing desserts (regular), sauces (constant), missing an entire large fries portion (once) - you know, the kind of stuff that promotes happy recurrent customers 🤦 So, hold on to your heart pills, I'll update this review, as soon as I know more, that is, get my order😅

Cute, small place, very similar to his “big brother” MAT. We liked it, but not as much as the tacos from MAT. The Margarita and Paloma were expertly crafted and completed the meal beautifully. Overall, I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quick bite served in a welcoming and lively atmosphere.

Recently opened, Al Pastor by MAT has one thing on the menu, and you've guessed it: tacos 🌮 The beef tacos are really tasty, and they also have options for vegans, which are equally delicious. The staff is really friendly, and as we were waiting in line for quite a while, they brought us some cava to ease our wait. Next time we are craving tacos, we will definitely come back.
