The Science Museum of Minnesota, established in 1907, is a sprawling complex located on the north banks of the Mississippi River. The museum offers hands-on exhibits and IMAX dome theater movies that explore various scientific disciplines. Visitors can delve into evolution, paleontology, and the natural history of Minnesota, with an extensive collection of fossils including stegosaurus and triceratops bones. Additionally, the museum hosts diverse traveling exhibits such as Viking history and Egyptian mummies.
TONS of activities for all ages to engage your mind and lots of exhibits to see. There are even musical stairs - that was super neat! Dinosaur exhibit, sports activity section, old-time gadget section, shells, tug boat, weather station, ... oh, and make your own tv news broadcast - that was a comical blast!!! - - and so much more. Spent the entire afternoon here & finished with a movie. Parking was safe & easy. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite museums growing up going on school field trips. Went back on my 24th birthday and still loved it 😁 I'm a little disappointed they removed the upstairs restaurant though because that was my favorite and the cafe isn't the same otherwise it was awesome. 10/10 recommend for all ages

A Fantastic, Educational, and Fun Experience for All Ages! I recently visited the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul, and it was truly a wonderful experience. This museum is a perfect blend of education and entertainment, offering something for everyone — from curious kids to inquisitive adults. The exhibits are not only informative but also incredibly engaging. You can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into designing each section to make science accessible, hands-on, and fun. One of the highlights for me was the dinosaur exhibit. The fossil displays were impressive, especially the triceratops skeleton, and the interactive stations explaining paleontology were great for kids and adults alike. Another standout was the Human Body Gallery, which had fascinating displays on anatomy, health, and even real preserved organs (not for the squeamish, but definitely educational!).The museum also features rotating exhibits — when I visited, there was one about climate change and sustainability that was both eye-opening and hopeful. It didn’t just present the problems, but also showed real-world solutions and how people can take action. The staff and volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions or guide you through the exhibits. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and there were plenty of places to sit, snack, or take a break. The gift shop and café were also enjoyable additions to the experience. If you're in the Twin Cities area, this museum is absolutely worth a visit. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, the Science Museum of Minnesota is an enriching destination that makes learning truly enjoyable!

This is a wonderful hands on interactive science museum with so many fun places for kids and adults to learn. The IMAX movie was fantastic. Dinosaurs and the human body exhibits were excellent. Have a nice lunch on the Mississippi River.

I was surprised I had to pay for entrance since every other state I've lived in was free. $60 for me and the kid. Kids hotdog was $12 for just a regular old dog. Double Smash burger was $20. Way over priced place I think. Other than that they are a very nice museum. The T.Rex Imax was great. 8yo loved it. Not over crowded and very clean. I actually like St Paul much better than Minneapolis.
Johnny R — Google review
Worth the visit! Family of 4 (including 15yo & 10yo) spent 3 hours here and truthfully could have easily spent 4 hours covering the 3 floors of hands on fun. * get tickets ahead of time and avoid the entrance bottleneck * we paid $19 to park next door in river view parking lot.

Absolutely amazing, I visited it a month ago during a summer camp with my friends, and I love the interactive exhibits!

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is a must-visit attraction located near the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Saint Paul. The site features the stunning Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, an Art Nouveau structure housing bonsai trees and sansui gardens. Surrounding the conservatory are manicured gardens with elegant bridges and sculptures of animals like giraffes, penguins, and wolves.
We enjoyed our visit. It can get busy with school groups & camps, but we were still able to find decently close parking & were able to enjoy an afternoon of seeing animals. Highly recommend catching a Sparky show and checking out the unique gift shop finds. The gardens are lovely to visit as well.
Sarah R — Google review
Open to the public... no admission ticket is required, but a small donation is encouraged. Accessible to all abilities. Fun for all ages. Lots of animals as you would expect for a zoo, some more active than others. Make sure to check out the (Sparky) the sea lion show. Check show times when you arrive. Have fun and drink plenty of water.
Mike E — Google review
Excellent family outing! Como Zoo is a wonderful place to spend the day while learning about various animals. The zoo offers scheduled feedings and shows that are absolutely worth watching, adding fun and educational value to the visit. The animals appear to be well cared for, and the overall experience is both enjoyable and meaningful. Highly recommended for families!
Anita S — Google review
Despite the humidity it was awesome! The combination of plants and animals makes you feel like you are in the forest or at times a jungle! The lily pad and Japanese collection were my favorites. It was also cool to see fruit trees from different countries with the branches bearing fruit. I was surprised by the number of spices they had in their native forms too. Hands down, one of the best FREE conservatories I've visted.
Drew J — Google review
This is 1 of my favorite places in all of Mni Sota. I’ve visited this zoo since I was a young child. They have a plethora of inside gardens & a beautiful indoor rainforest exhibit. The outside is teeming with creatures from all over the world. Don’t forget to check out the Japanese Garden too. They have made a number of renovations in recent years & that has really spruced up the experience. Chief of these is the Sea Lion area where they put on daily shows. It’s pretty state of the art now. Did I mention it’s entirely free to the public. If you’ve never been check it out & if it’s been awhile it’s definitely worth revisiting.
Isaiah W — Google review
Absolutely, it's a beautiful place. If you haven't been there in a while, I suggest that you go back. They've made a ton of updates that make the place look and feel more restored and renewed. It's definitely a place that I need to go to again, and very soon. The fact that you're able to talk to the workers there and that they're very helpful and kind was amazing as well. It's very family-oriented, and it was just an all-out blast.
Alexis R — Google review
The fact that there is no admission fee makes this my GO TO ZOO. I suggest getting there as close to opening as possible to get stress free, nearby parking. But there are lots and street parking all around! I visit como with my 3 year old and it checks all the boxes. Cool plants, some animals, a sparky sea lion show of the PERFECT length for short attention spans. You can bring your own snacks (the consession options are expensive but hey you got in for free so I believe in purchasing from them for support) all in all a great zoo and beautiful conservatory. My kiddo loves it. Perfect family outing:)
Rebecca H — Google review
I recommend this place to anybody- what an amazing experience. Their conservatory is well taken care of and so stunning to walk through. It is a huge place that you can easily spend hours at. The entry fee is free, and there is an optional donation. I strongly recommend you donate; this place definitely deserves it.

The Minnesota Children's Museum is a fantastic destination for families with young children, particularly those aged 3-6. The museum offers a range of hands-on exhibits and experiences designed to engage and educate little ones. While the focus is on younger kids, there are also plenty of attractions suitable for mixed-age groups. Additionally, the museum hosts special events such as free admission on the first Sunday of each month and offers family memberships with exclusive benefits.
Had a great experience with the Family I have a 9 ,7 and 2 year old. What a great time we had fun for all. We ended with lunch at Mickey's Diner.

Nasty outside? Spend the day here. All ages will enjoy these exhibits. Whether it's your first or fifty-fifth time there is always something new to discover. Arrive at 9am or later 2 hours before close for the most quiet time. You'll need at least an hour and a half to truly discover everything but older kids can blast through things quite quickly. The ages that will enjoy this the most are 3-12 but anyone with an open mind will have a great time. Please make sure to use hand sanitizer frequently to avoid spreading germs. Validate your parking ticket at the desk inside MCM.
Tiffany R — Google review
My children had a great experience. So much to explore. We can't wait to go back. I did order tickets in advance online, it was very easy and convenient. My 7 year old daughter says the best part of the museum was the city room with the post office, grocery store, and other play areas. My 1 year old son loved the room with the ping pong balls.
Abigail W — Google review
It was well worth the money. There are several areas for the children to play in and so many different things for them to do. It’s very stimulating for the children and they can play here for hours would definitely come again.
Angela N — Google review
My first visit there, even though I was taking all precautions, even as an adult I got hands, feet and mouth disease there. Bad case of it. They do not do a good job of sanitizing. It's great they have hand sanitizers everywhere but both times I visited (total 2), I didn't see anyone wiping down anything. In fact there was a scrunched up dirty paper towel in the the 3/under play area and I told the worker, he just picked it up with his bare hands and never wiped down the surface. Just returned to his employee room that is there in that area. I gave it 4 stars because it's a super fun place!! I did have issues with my welcome (member) email coming through. I spoke with 3 people then they re sent it. I recommend checking the site for parking info, special events, etc when planning your trip. One thing it will mention is bring a pair of extra clothes/shoes because there is a lot of water play there.
Yasmeen V — Google review
This place is great! My niece had a great time and burned off a ton of energy running around. I loved all the signage encouraging ages 1 to 100+ to enjoy different parts of the museum. I appreciated that in almost every area, there was an older kid version and a younger kid version which made the museum really diverse. Highly recommend the ball launcher area!

We always get the yearly pass! It’s a trek from the south metro but honestly it’s worth it for a full day of activities and all in one place. We went to the Halloween event this year and although their socials stated they were sold out with limited tickets available for walk-in. We walked in and there were consistently 2 people in line (which moved fast as they were properly staffed). The staff member who helped us get tickets advised that the tickets weren’t really limited as it’s hard to turn away kids with costumes! We checked in, it was definitely busy so keep your littles close. They had their normal play stations open along with trick or treat at every corner handing out handful of candies. They also had extra activities like make your own Chex mix, Halloween bingo, build your own glow in the dark crown, light up ghosts (out of modeling clay), build a spider ring, etc. It’s always fun for the kids and they had curious George theme in their seasonal playroom.
Whitney N — Google review
The best children's museum I've been to! Mutlilevels, highly interactive, sensory materials, and fun themes throughout. We were fortunate to come during the Wild Kratts exhibit which my daughter loves. Be prepared to bring a few change of clothes as there is water play areas. Our highlights were the special exhibit, lasers, and car wash!

The Minnesota History Center, situated in the heart of Saint Paul near the state Capitol buildings, offers over 4,000 square meters of museum space. It showcases a wide range of exhibits and interactive experiences that delve into Minnesota's history, including the presence of Hmong tribespeople and conflicts like the Dakota War. The center also houses the Minnesota History Center Library, which is open to the public for research purposes. Visitors can explore intriguing exhibitions, live performances, and educational programs suitable for all ages.
This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back! There are so many artifacts and exhibits. We arrived at noon and left at closing time 4 pm. Yes, you will need at least 4 hours to truly experience and appreciate all this place has to offer. We had the pleasure of meeting an employee named Carol and her knowledge, charisma and friendliness made our visit so much better! This place is fun for all ages, although the WWII footage and short film might be too graphic for the little ones. Overall, a great place to learn about Minnesota history and its people.
Joel G — Google review
Today was one of the free days. I work at a group home and brought one of the individuals today. He had a blast today. Very interesting to him and it wasn't at a level that was too hard so he didn't understand. There were hands on things to keep people of all ages and mental capabilities engaged. They had the band playing today as well. The view from outside is amazing as well... you can see the Capitol and downtown St. Paul. Definitely recommend going.
Caitlin K — Google review
We had such a great time at the Minnesota History Center! My kids had an absolute blast — it was so engaging and interactive that we completely lost track of time. We ended up staying for hours and still didn’t get to see everything (we had to leave because the kids were “starving” 😂). There’s so much to learn here for all ages, and it’s presented in such a fun, hands-on way. We’ll definitely be back to explore more. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite places in Minnesota. The Native American exhibits, and the I-35 bridge collapse exhibit are very moving. The military exhibits are also phenomenal, and so immersive for kids. The tornado simulator…. OMG. The list goes on. There are so many cool pieces of Minnesota history here, and interactive exhibits for kids.
Heather L — Google review
Inspiring space. Exhibits touch on key parts of the Minnesota experience. The Native American exhibits are thoughtfully put together. Kids have plenty of room and spaces to go. We enjoyed the short play about a Minnesota member of the Greatest generation. There was also a craft in an atrium. Thanks to all the volunteers.
Kevin B — Google review
Such a great experience! Seeing the Greatest Generation exhibit was powerful. I had never been here before and I was blown away with how much they had and the attention to detail they put into everything, including the men and women who do the tours. Very knowledgeable and welcoming.

The former government building boasts exquisite architecture and a romantic Romanesque Revival-style exterior. It once served as a post office, courthouse, and custom house.
We went there for a wedding and had a blast. This wedding venue was amazing. The natural light was awesome, the food was delicious, and the dancing was a blast. It was an amazing event space for the special day.

Walked by this place so many times and never went in. Decided to finally check it out this past Saturday and wow! It's beautiful inside, so many unique rooms and wonderful architecture all around. The lower level had a lot of interesting info to read. The man at the info desk was super friendly and kind. Only downside during our visit was an annoying, loud group of young women (wearing pj's!) in the marble room getting ready for a wedding. So we were not able to see this room, which the man at the desk said was the best one. This is a nice, and free, place to check out. So glad they didn't turn it into a parking lot as planned and it was saved. Treasure these places!
Nicky — Google review
This huge beautiful building is located in between Rice Park and Landmark Plaza. It's free to enter and walk around. There isn't much to see, but there are a couple of rooms you can enter and learn a little about the history of how the building was used in the past.

The Minnesota State Capitol, an architectural gem completed in 1905, stands proudly in St. Paul as a testament to the state's rich history and governance. Designed by the talented architect Cass Gilbert, this Beaux-Arts masterpiece is celebrated for its grand self-supported marble dome—the second largest of its kind globally—and intricate details that reflect Minnesota's natural beauty and heritage.
Stately, august, friendly, welcoming. Business and history mixed as the state House was in session during my visit and lots of tours were taking place (tour guide encouraging schoolchildren to now be a part of history by telling others what they learned). Sergeant at arms guarding the House chamber was kind, polite but firm in telling me what I could/couldn’t do as I approached the open chamber doors. The building was nicely renovated and has great touches to years past, including a museum exhibit on the 3rd floor telling the story of natives, and maintaining things like the interior swinging bathroom doors. I know more about the state than before. What a great welcome to Minnesota!
Steve B — Google review
I was really impressed by the Minnesota State Capitol — it's absolutely stunning inside and out! The marble dome is breathtaking. If you are here on a weekday- the interior is full of beautiful art, historic murals, and grand staircases. Do take a free guided tour, you might go up to the roof for an amazing view of the city. The building feels both historic and alive with politics. If you're in St. Paul, take an hour or two to visit. It's peaceful and photogenic!
Marta S — Google review
A very grand state capital with many floors of beautiful art and architecture. The dome is fantastic. If you take the tour you go up on the dome where the gold chariot is and have a view of St. Paul. The paintings in the Governors office are amazing. Free tour.

Did a free tour of the capitol while on vacation with my family. The history of the building is fascinating and our guide was very knowledgeable. The architecture is grandiose and stunning, and the views of downtown St. Paul from the rooftop are amazing. Definitely an hour well spent.

The Bell Museum, located on the University of Minnesota's Minneapolis campus, is a 92,000 sq. ft museum that offers an exploration of the cosmos through diverse animal dioramas and a planetarium. The museum features a Touch and See Lab with 10,000-year-old fossils and living animals, as well as world-famous wildlife dioramas. It also boasts interactive opportunities with naturalists and interpreters to bring its collections to life.
What a phenomenal place to spend time on a cold snowy day with two young men on Spring break. The boys were entranced with all the exhibits. It’s very thoughtfully done and is self guided. We come here often. Don’t miss the live exhibit of amphibians and the planetarium show.
Cheryllyne V — Google review
I really enjoyed this museum. There’s an entry fee, so you might want to buy your ticket online ahead of time to save some time. The parking lot is small. When we arrived, there weren’t any spots available, so we had to park a bit down the street in front of a big field and walk to the museum. There are lots of exhibits, but I think the mammoth is the star of the show. It was interesting to see what beavers used to look like; they looked like giant rats to me, lol.
Dr. N — Google review
So glad I stopped in to explore the Bell Museum during my travels on Friday morning. My first visit at its new location on the edge of the University of Minnesota's St. Paul campus that opened in July of 2018 (I know, better late than never). The exhibits are quite exceptional. With its relocation from Minneapolis, the museum was expanded significantly to include a planetarium, education wing, and touch & see lab. The landscaping was also upgraded with sustainable native plants, a geology area, and a solar station. The best part was watching the staff and volunteers in action sharing their knowledge with excited kids who showed up with parents, grandparents and school teachers. Made me smile big time. “If you have knowledge, let others light their candles to it.” ~ Margaret Fuller

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Bell Museum and can't recommend it as a venue enough! The Bell is a beautiful location that has proved to be a picturesque location for capturing our event in photos, the staff are all kind courteous and professional, and our guests were obsessed with over how cool of a venue it was for a wedding. Laura and Korra were exceptionally helpful when it came to planning and hosting the event. Laura walked us through the process of planning step-by-step so that when the big day came it ran exactly to plan and we had zero issues whatsoever. Korra provided excellent day of support and was helpful in answering all of our questions as the event unfolded. If you are planning a wedding or event that involves children as guests, or adults who just want to have something fun to do between the festivities, we can't recommend the Bell Museum enough. very interesting science museum with awesome dioramas of minnesota nature. the planetarium movie "we are guardians" was fun and informative. love the cute gift shop items (not too expensive)!

Informative, educational, and a wide variety of exhibits. Accommodating, spacious, and gorgeous gardens. Wonderful gift shop. An excellent time for any science lover.

Great natural history museum! The exhibits were awesome to see. I especially enjoyed the fossils and collections in the Touch & See Lab and their wildlife dioramas upstairs. I really loved that many exhibits focused on Minnesota's natural history—it’s always great to learn more about our state. On top of their other exhibits, the Bell Museum features a planetarium where they play educational shows throughout the day. We saw the “Supervolcanoes” show during our visit and it was really neat to watch on the domed screen. The building itself is also very interesting architecturally and fun to be in. I enjoyed the museum as an adult but I'm sure this would also be a fun trip for families—in particular, I'm sure kids would get a kick out of the animals and digital microscopes in the Touch & See Lab. Overall, I definitely recommend paying a visit to the Bell Museum!

Bell Museum is a pretty chill spot! definitely underrated! If you’re into nature, space, or just cool stuff in general, you’ll vibe with this place. They’ve got neat exhibits about Minnesota wildlife, plus a sweet planetarium that’s honestly mind-blowing. Staff’s friendly and laid-back, happy to nerd out with you if you’re curious. Bonus points for being Insta-worthy—tons of photo ops here. It’s not massive, so it’s perfect for a casual visit without overwhelming you. Parking’s usually easy, too. Totally worth checking out, especially if you’re bored of typical museum vibes. I went there when there was an October star party, we looked through high-powered telescopes at astronomical objects (I saw comets and Venus!) Will update my review later when I back to visit the Museum again!

The James J. Hill House, completed in 1891, is a stunning Romanesque mansion located on Summit Avenue. This U.S. National Historic Landmark was the residence of James J. Hill, a prominent railroad magnate. Often referred to as 'Minnesota's Downton Abbey,' the 36,000 square-foot house offers guided tours showcasing its grandeur and authentic details such as stained glass, hand-carved woodwork, and chandeliers.
We went on the guided tour and our guide Mark was very entertaining amd knowledgeable. He encouraged questions amd answered them honestly and let us know of any information he was unsure about. The house itself is beautiful. The architecture is insane and I cannot imagine what it would have looked like fully furnished. It makes me so happy to see pieces of history like this being preserved for future generations.

This was a wonderful place to visit with so much history I was unaware of. This is the man who started the expansion of the railroads. Everything was so wonderfully kept and stories of the man and family who lived here makes wish I could visit that time. It's a must see if your in the area. It has self guided tours and guided tours. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Went on Saturday and was part of the 3:30pm/last tour group of the day. Bought tickets the day prior and checkin was easy. You can buy tickets there as well. The staff (both front desk + our tour guide) from start to finish were AMAZING! They were so knowledgeable, courteus, and made the tour not only fun but memorable. The manor itself is filled with beautiful wood work, gorgeous glass windows, trinkets of the past, and so much more that I cant put into words.

The James J. Hill house is so cool! If you are just visiting St Paul or if you live in Minnesota its worth checking out! Give yourself about an hour or so to really take it all in. Theres 3 floors plus a basement, there is an elevator to get to the basement (thats where the restroom is). The guides do a fantastic job! Ask them anything you can think of!

Great historical place. Signs were very helpful to give you a background. And you can do a guided tour for 15$.

The history on this house and the size of the house is amazing. Just wish more of the rooms were open and not storage. The tour guides were great. I love how they know so much and you can see their passion for the job shinning through when they talk about the house and answer questions for people. You have a great staff Please let them all know that. ( At one point I accidentally jumped on a different tour group cause I was in a room to long admiring it and that tour guide also had a passion for the job.)💖

This is such a beautiful museum and the story of Mr. Hill and his family is fascinating. I highly recommend that you visit here when you're in Minneapolis.

Great historical place and tour. 12 and 13 yr olds were bored, but, in all fairness, my younger self probably would have been as well. The 10 yr old enjoyed the scavenger hunt aspect of the tour. Make sure to walk or drive around the blocks to see all the houses. Check out the Cathedral if you can (plan ahead).

Rice Park is a central gathering place located in downtown Saint Paul, offering a variety of attractions and activities for visitors. The park features a central fountain and hosts a popular winter festival and ice rink. Surrounded by landmarks such as the Landmark Center, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, and George Latimer Central Library, Rice Park exudes vibrant history dating back to its dedication in 1849.
Rice Park is a charming and picturesque spot in the heart of St. Paul! The park is beautifully maintained, and during the winter, it transforms into a magical wonderland with twinkling lights and a festive atmosphere. It’s a great spot for photos or just soaking in the city’s vibe. Whether you’re attending an event nearby or simply exploring downtown, Rice Park is worth a visit!

Rice Park is a beautiful little oasis right in the heart of downtown Saint Paul. Surrounded by some of the city’s most iconic buildings — including the Landmark Center, Ordway, and the Saint Paul Hotel — the park offers a peaceful, scenic spot to relax, people-watch, or enjoy a stroll. It’s well-kept, with lovely landscaping, benches, and public art, including the charming Peanuts character statues that add a playful, local touch. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee nearby or heading to a show, it’s a perfect place to pause and take in the surroundings. At night, the park lights up beautifully, making it especially magical in the winter with the holiday lights. It’s compact but full of charm — a great little gem in the middle of the city.

Beautiful park, love all the statues and the fountain. Great view of the Landmark Center. However, just like with any city, I would recommend using the buddy system walking around at night.

This park has a large fountain as well as a large grassy area with some benches and shaded areas. Two of the three sets of Peanut statues are located here, as well as the F. Scott Fitzgerald statue.

I work downtown Saint Paul and Rice Park is my favorite spot to sit outside during lunch and enjoy the sunshine, the birds and the waterfountain. The architecture of the MN Landmark Center, Ordway, Saint Paul Hotel, & surrounding buildings are absolutely amazing. Also there are food trucks during summer and sometimes live music.

Perfectly located in downtown Saint Paul, Rice Park is a well-appointed, well-maintained and clean park where tranquility and peace reign. It's a great place to relax, take a break or eat. I recommend it to families and children.

Beautiful, clean park to walk or spend some time chilling in St. Paul downtown across from St. Paul Hotel. Nice flower lined paths, lots of benches and it’s photography friendly with the Landmark Center in the background.

Visited Rice Park in summer time and I found it lacking enough shaded spaces. But the layout is nice and is located across the street from the Landmark Bldg. I enjoyed a hotdog from one of the vendors there and enjoyed people watching for a bit. Very cool water feature. Hot day in Minneapolis.

The Minnesota Transportation Museum, situated in Saint Paul, is a captivating destination dedicated to preserving the local transportation heritage. It offers an interactive experience with exhibits showcasing buses, railways, and historic train cars. The museum's commitment to historical preservation allows visitors to delve into the evolution of transportation in the region. Families with young children will find it particularly engaging, as there are numerous interactive displays highlighting the unique train, bus, and streetcar history of Saint Paul and its surroundings.
If you like trains, this is the place for you. This was a Personal Bucket List event for me. You can have as much fun as you make of it for $10 an adult. Great price! It isn’t air conditioned, so you should go when the weather and temperature’s right for you. Excellent group of volunteers for your information needs. Don’t be afraid to ask them any questions if you have any, they will help you. I loved this activity. Enjoy…
Jeff B — Google review
Fun part of American RR history. It's great to be able to walk from one end of the train to the other (unfortunately not the engine). They have several different types of rail cars and share the history of each. The views are wonderful. The only negative is the cars that have air conditioning isn't very cool. The other cars have open windows.
Larry F — Google review
The ride was great. It would’ve been nice to have more colors on the leaves, but that’s a hard thing to plan. The cars have speakers in them so I don’t know why there isn’t some type of narration. Some examples; the history of the area, history of the railroad, add a little information about how old the cars are where they got them, etc.a little heads up on what scenery may be coming up, the waterfall, the trestle. We enjoyed the trip, it’s just it would’ve been better to have some type of narration.
Steve R — Google review
Fun family activity with full-size train engines you can access, elaborate models, a caboose ride, view of the roundhouse, and tours of the repair/work area and blacksmith. My 6 and 9-year-olds were delighted. I was impressed by their accessibility considerations: it has sensory-friendly hours and a busy station. 💙
Angela B — Google review
If you are willing to pay for ticket(s) to look at trains and be able to touch some interactible things, it is worth it.I was able to get a full tour by a kind old man. It was kind of slow, but we went through the entire place, backstage areas included, in around 2 hours. There are many old and decommissioned trains to look at and interact with. The experience is very interactive in my opinion. But the tour by the staff was a bit slow. I wouldn't say that it was their fault since lots of the staff there are old, which is very reasonable.
Leo L — Google review
If the weather had cooperated the leaves would have been prettier but the scenery was beautiful regardless. My only complaints would be that they list the fall color train as 90 minutes but it is very misleading as was only 60 minutes of train ride. The other 30 was basically either prepping to leave or when it had to reverse coming back. Also when asked what side is better to sit the volunteer said both sides are good as when coming back it swaps sides, but it doesn't as we viewed same side on way back looking out our windows. Luckily we sat on the side that got the best view (side furthest from entry/loading). Also, I would recommend bringing your own snacks/drinks as you're allowed. And get there in plenty of time as parking is very limited. To me the price paid was expensive for what we got.
Kari H — Google review
My husband and I shared a table with another couple on the "pizza" train. The pizza was locally made and was very, very good. Hot and ready when we boarded. They supplied water and a yummy brownie for dessert. We had a really great time with the couple seated with us. The train ride was nostalgic and informative. The crew were volunteers who loved trains. They were all very nice and knowledgeable. We absolutely would do it again.
Cindilee J — Google review
I got tickets for a fall colors train ride for me and my boyfriend for our two year anniversary. I knew he would like it but I didn't realize how much we would both LOVE it. We had so much fun and every single staff person we talked to was so helpful and kind and knowledgeable. We're already planning our next trip. If you're planning on going definitely get there 30 min early and get ready for an amazing experience

Great venue! Even at the higher balconies you don't feel far from the stage. Easy entry, friendly staff, drinks are reasonably priced.

Nice intimate theater in downtown St. Paul. Easy to get to and there is plenty of street parking. Not the friendliest staff and our usher had no idea where our seats were located 🙄. It was also very warm inside, so dress accordingly. I understand it's an old historic building but bathrooms are located on opposite sides of the mezzanine, women's on the left side and men's on the right. It might be an inconvenience for some. Would definitely go back for a show.

It's a nice theater. Very clean, staff is nice. Hokus Pokus Live was great would pay to see it again.
David B — Google review
Beautiful space with great acoustics. Only things that I didn't care for were the horrible slanted walkway and the bathrooms on the second floor of which you had to climb the stairs.
Raymond O — Google review
First time to the Fitzgerald to see Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The theater is a Great historic building with great acoustics and good views from all seats. We had a Great time! The parking at the adjacent lot was convenient. Not a nock on the theater, but the parking came to a snag when leaving. I believe for this special event, they gave us 2 tickets to get out. The tickets were labeled 1 and 2, and they had to be put in the machine in that order. Several of the event goers were not able to follow the ticket order and things got all backed up. Idea! The person selling the tickets should inform the purchaser about the order to follow when leaving the lot. Back to the Fitgerald Theater, EXCELLENT! P.S. we were on the top level.

The Fitzgerald is one of my all-time favorite theaters in MN!! Historic, and so beautiful, I love the feeling, as if stepping back in time. We saw the comedian, Josh Blue, who is hilarious, as well as two of his comedic buddies, we had a total blast! The concessions and drinks are very good and much appreciated! I highly recommend catching a show at the Fitzgerald, you won't be disappointed!

really nice theater, very pretty architecture. the whole building was kept pretty cool to my surprise (I went in the middle of a summer heat wave). the chairs are just a bit uncomfortable after sitting for an hour but not the worst. if you have some mobility/balance issues I'd recommend using a cane or other aid here, as there isn't any railing on the stairs to get to the balcony seats.

Great place to take the family do a little fishing, not much for walking but there is a great ice cream shop within walking distance from pretty much anywhere from the boat landing to the danm it's right in between 2 scoops is the name if I remember correctly awesome place you have to check it out, the wife is bigger fisher than me, loves to fish would do it sun up to sun down daily if she could I always joke about her getting a sugar daddy with a nice boat because I'll never be able to afford a cheap one, :) but in reality im not joking she deserves to be able to experience a real fishing trip she's an awesome person does nothing for herself but everything for others so it's kinda a bummer that no matter how hard I try it's pretty much out of reach so anyways anyone want to take a, fun bait her own hook kind of gal on a fishing trip let me know I'd let her go in a heartbeat wow that was quite the rant anyways awesome place can catch a fish or 2 not only did the wife catch her first pike but she was reeling in a sunny when the pike hit pretty happy girl she was

The Minnesota Museum of American Art is a must-visit for anyone with an interest in art. They boast a significant collection of American artists spanning the entire history of their creative work, and have exhibits that are sure to inspire your creative side.
I was in the area for a work trip that kept me over the weekend. I appreciated that this museum is open on Sundays (4/6/25). Parking was a breeze. A nice quiet morning to enjoy some art and learn some local history. The staff were engaging and great. I had a wonderful discussion with one of the volunteers over a few pieces ( I can’t remember her name). She was great, she shared local history and local resources information. She even put up with my questions about how lighting impacts the presentation of different works. If you love art and history pin this museum.

So this place is very hard to find ,( There is a sign you will have to follow)also would recommend to go on a Sunday to avoid crowds and parking. The art is beautiful to see but yes the workers there will follow you around that I dislike. At most you can finish a walk through of the musuem 20-30 minutes max.

A lovely space oddly placed in DT. No entry fee. Handicapped access, large bathrooms, and staff were congenial. Upon initial entry you don't realize how expansive it is. The exhibit "Queering Indigenity" was not only beautiful artistically but historically instructive! We spent 90 min in 2 exhibit sections and then realized we would have to return at a later date to complete. If you want to discuss the art over dessert you'll have to find another venue, if it's after 3pm or weekend.

The "M" is a jewel box of lovely art, in a historic St Paul building, and well worth several hours. Admission is free, and the galleries are filled with gorgeous art by (primarily) Minnesota artists, including many indigenous artists. We plan to go back since new gallery space is being developed, and new shows are coming soon. Park in the First National Bank ramp and take the skyway across to the museum.

Can Can Wonderland in St. Paul is a unique entertainment destination located in the downtown art district of Minneapolis. Housed in a historic building that was once an American canning company, it offers indoor mini-golf, vintage arcade games, and a bar & eatery. The venue features the best selection of vintage pinball machines in town, as well as bubble hockey and Skee-Ball. In addition to gaming, visitors can enjoy live shows and delicious food.
A wonderful adventurous place. Parking can be a little tricky but they have the best arcade I have ever been to. Like $16 on the weekend and you can play all day. Mini golf was unique and fun but would probably just do it the one time. Still worth the trip for the kids, perfect date night or a day to kill. They have awesome looking adult drinks, food and fancy milk shakes and live music. I loved and appreciated time forgot vintage boardwalk style board games from the 20's to the like 80's. Only complaint was interactions with stuff was meh. They solved problems but they weren't rude but not real friendly. I had some questions about how it all worked with everything and on getting soda cups and they were kinda like what eves. I guess they tired of explaining lol.

Great fun for all ages. Lots of retro pinball and arcade games that will take you back to simpler days. Good food, nice selection of adult beverages. The mini golf looked fun we didn't get to it. Dear Silly Miss Tilly, Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the breathtaking karaoke show you run. My two daughters and I have been coming out as much as possible and it’s been more than great—it’s been transformative. Since they started singing with you, their voices have grown stronger and clearer, but more importantly, their confidence has soared. What you’ve created is so much more than music—it’s a space where joy, courage, and self-expression come alive. We’re so grateful to be part of it. With hearts full of gratitude and admiration- Thank you! Can Can Wonderland would not be the same without you! We are so so lucky to share space with you!!!!

Neat place, but you have to pay the gaming fee ($16) to be able to do the mini golf ($15). Golf was a great experience, loved the artistic recycling concept, it was very creative and I'll look forward to sharing the experience with others! Get your unlimited drink early in the day, they shut off the machine 1/2 hr before closing, but the bartender was nice enough to give me a refill. Free parking in the ramp is a nice added feature!

One of the most fascinating, endearing yet peculiar establishments I've ever seen. It's like stepping into an arcade in Seattle 20 years ago. If you have even a shred of personality this place is worth checking out. The pricing is really fair to get in - $16. P.s. you can pour your own beer for around 60cents/oz.
Benjamin B — Google review
Love their craft beer idea, pay by the ounce so you can try many different flavors without going broke. The place is huge, the old games bring back memories and there is a tech that comes out immediately to repair them if need be. Fun for adults and kids. It is awesome that they re-purposed the can making facility, hence the name, into a must see game/beer establishment.
Laurie Y — Google review
Can Can has a great vibe and a lot of fun things to do. My family goes to Can Can every Friday for All-ages karaoke with Silly Miss Tilly. The platform she gives allows children to shine doing what they love but also that it’s all-ages so anyone can sing. She joins in on the fun whenever asked and the kids LOVE the support she gives. Silly Miss Tilly shows are always packed and people playing games often listen and cheer. Silly Miss Tilly is the prominent reason we go there! We would only go to Can Can every few months if we didn’t have Tilly!
AmberLee A — Google review
This place is a lot of fun. The only reason I took off a star is because you have to pay for entrance and some games are additional, such as the karaoke car and mini golf (which seems a little unreasonable if you already paid for entrance). I also think they should get Down the Clown because that’s a classic game. Other than that, they have things for people of all ages! They have rides for very small children and they sell alcohol. They also have food you can get (pizza, cheese curds, burgers, malts, pop corn, cotton candy).

Such a cool adventure for the kids!!! We got them a wrist band for the day but they also have other options to choose from for kid's to ride rides, not everything is included and some of the rides state that socks are mandatory. We think prices are worth it. The kids had so much fun! No lines so no waiting to get on rides.

There are enough rides and attractions for your family to be entertained the entire day. You do not need to pay to enter. I’m glad that I purchased when I arrived, as my husband had no interest in riding anything. Nickelodeon Universe will not disappoint!

There are so much fun for the families, groups, dates. They offered to host large group parties after hours. We enjoyed our annual passes.

To start off, the place looks clean and well themed, but understaffed. Perhaps because it's the off-season during a weekday. I mostly came to get a few roller coasters in, but Rock Bottom Plunge was closed, along with a few unique flat rides. It felt like the place was running on a skeleton crew. Perhaps it's better to try it on a weekend. I did like their automated wristband system.

The kids and I had a great time. Although, the rides are far to expensive! Kids had a lot of fun though, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Make it more reasonable, and more fun for the Littles and I'm pretty sure it would be amazing.

Fun and unique experience. The prices are reasonable. 50 for unlimited per person or you can buy points. The Big rides are 6 points and small rides 3. We bought 50 points for 60(after tax) and the kids went on several rides having a ton of fun. Super convenient, since there is a mall with dozens of food and snack options in walking distance.

Took the kids; they had a blast and even got the wife on some rides! The place was super fun for my 9-year-old and 12-year-old. They are both 58 inches (don't ask) tall and could ride all the rides. The only drawback was that it does get busy, which isn't the park's fault, but we did have to go back a second day to finish all the rides.

An absolute great time at Nickelodeon universe. You can buy tickets at the kiosk or inside the gift shop. The gift shop has lots of great souvenirs and licensed products. Lots of different rides to choose from- everything from kid friendly to more extreme rides. Definitely something that is sure to please all ages and thrill seekers alike. They have pretty cool claw machines to try out as well.

The Minnesota State Fair is a late-summer extravaganza that spans 322 acres and offers a wide array of attractions. From livestock competitions to car shows, concerts, and games, the fair has something for everyone. Visitors can indulge in an assortment of foods on sticks, ride the giant slide, admire seed art, people-watch, enjoy refreshing lemonade, and experience thrilling rides like the Sky Glider.
Minnesota State Fair grounds are a fabulous location with many events other than the state fair. This review was written on the Back to the 50s event. The event was well organized and to get in if you did not have a ticket it was cash only and they had on-site ATM machines. The transaction was very smooth and painless. As we explored and gazed upon the beautiful classic cars we made our way to the beer stand to get ice cold beverages and mini doughnuts. The powdery sweet taste left us wanting more. We then saw a heavenly sign, the cheese curd taco sign. A combination of the best of both worlds and we made our way over. The taco shell had the perfect crunch while the cheese curds burst with salty flavors. As the day wound down we explored and looked at more cars and had alcoholic slushies to quench our thirst. We struck up lots of great conversations and had many good memories. We can't wait till next year's event.

Always busy but always worth it. Great food to try and something for everyone. This was the first year we actually parked at the fair and I would recommend it if you have small children who won’t sit still on the bus for park and rides. While it’s pricy event parking $25. There were tons of spaces and easy out at the end of the day

2025 MN State Fair ✅ Really loved Giggles' Campfire Grill smoked salmon on a stick with the cream cheese cracker 😋 Of course had my favorite two classics: Deep Fried Olives and Veggie Fries. 🫒 Other honorable mentions: deep fried ravioli, Pot of Gold potato dumpling, Walleye fries, “Three Piggy Pals” on a Stick, fresh lemonade, deep-fried ranch, fried green tomato, pronto pups and all of the beer🍻

The Minnesota State Fair isn’t just an event—it feels like a tradition you step into the moment you walk through the gates. The mix of sizzling food stands, live music drifting through the air, and the buzz of families and friends creates a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. I tried a mix of the classics and the new: cheese curds that were perfectly gooey, Sweet Martha’s cookies fresh from the oven, and one of the “new foods on a stick” that surprised me in the best way. Beyond food, the animal barns, creative seed art, and giant vegetables gave it that fun, quirky Minnesota charm. Yes, it’s busy, and yes, you’ll spend more than you plan—but the fair delivers an experience that blends nostalgia with something new every year. My tip: come early, pace yourself with food, and don’t miss the evening when the lights of the Midway bring the whole place alive.

Had a WONDERFUL time at the Great Minnesota Get-Together!! Things to eat and Places to Visit: #1. PEACHYS-Amish Donuts. I recommend getting there as early in the morning as you can as lines get extremely long super fast. (OR Bring an extra $20 and pay someone in the front of the line to get your donuts. Quick and easy!) #2. MOUTH TRAP CHEESE CURDS. Always a great item to get at the fair. Fresh and delicious every time! #3. CORN. CORN AND MORE CORN #4. Fried Catfish - (in food building) Super good Catfish strips. Walleye balls were kind of bland. But overall good Cajun taste. #5. Visiting the Miracle of Birth Center. So many cute babies and good learning opportunities for kiddos. #6. DNR Fish pond. Need a moment to relax? This is the place to be. **Remember to grab a Bargain Book! Tons of great coupons!** Those are just some of the things I really enjoyed this year at the fair!

So much to do. If food isn't your thing. They have the Midway with rides/games, the Eco building to learn how to be a less wasteful person, so many farm animals, or maybe you're a fine arts person. There is something for everyone at the fair.
Blam B — Google review
The fair was great as always but the lines were a little chaotic unlike some years. Being able to have cash or card is wonderful. Just sucks that not all vendors do that.

Xcel Energy Center, located in downtown St. Paul, is a state-of-the-art arena that serves as the home of the Minnesota Wild hockey team and hosts various concerts and events. The venue, which opened in 2000, offers an exciting atmosphere for fast-paced NHL games as well as entertaining shows on ice and regular concerts. Adjacent to the center is the Science Museum of Minnesota, where visitors can explore STEM-focused themes and enjoy films at the Omnitheater.
What a great Arena. I’ve been to a few arenas over the years and this was the best atmosphere I’ve got to experience. The food quality at the concession stands was higher quality and better variety than many sports venues. I felt the design and theme of the arena was fitting for Minnesota and the Wild. The little details matter and add to the excitement of the game. Great family experience. My kids and I got to watch Fluery possibly play in his last NHL game and win it in overtime in a thriller. We also got an official warm-up puck from Fluery before the game. Truest a memorable experience.

One of the best venues to see a concert at. I have been to more than one concerts here and the sound at all of them has been unmatched. The arena feels so intimate despite its capacity. Truly amazing! (For reference I have sat on the floor for all concerts!)

Super fun watching big time rush concert with my daughter. We had great seats. I felt bad for the people at the back and way high up because they didn’t have screens going around the stadium—just the ones up front. Also there was no iced coffee that night—kind of a bummer. Sound quality was great (aka deafening). I’ll need to remember my ear plugs next time!

Visiting from out of town, and this stadium was very nice! Enjoy our experience here, and would return if I had the chance. People were very kind, Michelob golden beer with souvenir cup was like $13 so heads up. Parking is an issue here, unless you wanna pay $30 across the street.

This was our first time to watch the Wild at Grand Casino Arena. It seems there is not a bad seat in the rink. Plenty of bathrooms and convenience stands for everyone. Everywhere seems clean and safe with the presence of police throughout and outside the arena. Lastly, it's very easy to get into and exit, with a helpful, friendly staff.

Great venue. Very clean and tidy; the staff were all super welcoming and friendly. Seats are tight, but what do you expect from a sports venue? Food selection was above what I expected. I will say they just bend you over with the price of a beer, but once again, it's kinda expected.

Great Experience!! Went for a Wild Hockey Game!! It was a packed House!! They had a $6 happy hour before the Game. The Seats were comfortable, Great views of the Ice. Highly suggest going to a game if your in St Paul.

The Twin City Model Railroad Museum is a large, specialized toy museum with displays of o-scale models of trains. The museum also has exhibits about the history of railroads in Minnesota, and some Easter eggs hidden in the tracks.
This is a must stop place for any parents with younger kids (or older father in laws 😂) that love trains ! We took our son there to see all of the trains decorated for the holidays. Having never been here before, I did not know what to expect. There was plenty of parking and places to hang out jackets. Despite being busy, there were a lot of train exhibits still open and buttons for kids to push and interact with the trains (and more). I could tell that each exhibit was built and maintained with love! It really feels like everyone working there loves what they do and enjoys seeing all of the people interact with these amazing exhibits. They have a gift shop with some pretty nice stuff too. I am going to be sporting one of their hats on my next trail run 😎😎.

You can not beat this place for entertainment or young Children... I was concerned my 3 year old Grandson would be bored and he hasn't stopped in nearly 2 hours... Even our 1 year old granddaughter is having a blast. Both running from train to train and activity to activity.... an absolute blast and we will be back. Highly recommend!!!

I had HO scale trains when I was a kid, going here made real sense to me. I always wanted a house with a basement big enough to have the big trains in it. Nope, not yet. Just go here instead. There are many displays and different sized train sets here for our enjoyment. Your entertainment is priced right here. Enjoy…

Highly recommend for any train enthusiasts! I’m OBSESSED with the LEGO series exhibit. Seriously amazing. I love going to the “Night Train” days. Won’t spoil it for you with too many pics but I have to share some of my favorites. Definitely a must see in the Twin Cities, I think this is the biggest assortment of layouts I’ve ever seen in person, so many different kinds of mobile miniature trains to see in action. Very interactive and great for kids! Love the ever changing layouts! I don’t think I can get over the LEGO ones. Especially the local features. ❤️

If you like model trains this is with a visit. Different size models with pretty cool layouts. They sometimes have special events. You can book a birthday party here. Photos are from their Halloween event. It was pretty neat

We hadn't been to the Twin City Model Railroad Museum since they were in the old location. The new venue is such a GREAT improvement. While viewing the layout and watching the trains operate was always great, the change to the new location with more layouts and an emphasis on interactive play can't be beat. We went with our two grandchildren (3 and 5) expecting 30 minutes of watching before they grew bored, we ended up staying 90 minutes and having to pull them away. More layouts and buttons allowing everyone to make the trains and other models operate were a huge hit!

Keg and Case Market is a vibrant food marketplace located in an 1855 brewery, featuring a variety of local food vendors and craft beer brewers. The market is home to renowned eateries such as Pimento and Revival, known for their award-winning Jamaican cuisine and Southern BBQ, respectively.
We were invited by another classic car enthusiast and as it was delightful weather, were happy to chime in and find the Keg & Case location. Organizer Aaron Courteau and others flagged us to the correct entrance and indicated where we should park our car. It is a very warm and welcoming venue. We were totally shocked that driving in to meet other classic car owners is free. Unfortunately, we were unaware that attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Food Shelf. We would have been most happy to participate. Interestingly enough, some locals walked over to see the cars, brought donations, and asked “me” where to put them. It seemed really meaningful to the event viewers and participants. I’d like to see more events like this and hopefully we can find another open Saturday to return. We hadn’t inside Keg and Case before and were pleasantly surprised by the how clean and spacious it is. And very nice of the vendor who provides the events coffee. They also sold several breakfast items, so we enjoyed a scone as well. It was nice to meet a few residents from the neighborhood. It was particularly delightful to see one young man come with his son who was so excited to see the vintage motor cars and was delighted to see one come and go. There is a pleasant assortment of local businesses in Keg and Case Market. The cheese shop is especially neat. Events here are easier for first-time goers to find if they just know to look for the famous Schmidt sign that stands tall and is easy to see from blocks away.

A good place to check out in St Paul. Super cool building. Great outdoor seating for warm weather. A nice variety of shops one the main level. Clutch brewery on the upper level. Good beer! Fun place to hang out and people watch. Nice food options as well. Worth checking out!
Ann C — Google review
This was a genius move by the creators of Keg and Case!!! This side of St. Paul needed something like this. Many different shops and food/drink with unique twists to them all. The downside is parking, only one smaller lot and street parking. Also there is not much general seating, which is needed. Most of the seating had signs for “designation” for a specific restaurant or bar.
Chrissi P — Google review
We are in LOVE with this place!! Great vibrant atmosphere, unique and delicious food and drink offerings (Clutch Brewing...hint, hint 😉), quality merchandise...it is all amazing! Every single vendor is top-notch in their respective niche. This place is crazy busy on the weekends, but in a FUN way...a weeknight visit will provide a more relaxed experience (and shorter line waits), if you so desire.
Christine M — Google review
Great place - reminds me of a small version of Chelsea Market in New York. Lots of unique vendors here from a cotton candy vendor who makes every flavor under the sun, to a microbrewery, to a honey place where you can actually see the bees making it. Situated in the former Schmidt Brewery on 7th. Parking was still free when I went there, but it looks like the lot is built for paying at some point.
Benji T — Google review
Up in the area for other reasons, stopped in to have a beer a d listen to some music outdoors. Keg and Case didn't disappoint. Nice old building designed very nicely, lots of vendors, great outdoor area with food trucks and a nice sounding stage area. Made for an unexpectedly fun afternoon. Really overpriced though...

When a fellow foodie friends of mine told me I had to check this place out I was skeptical. However I really value their opinion and when they described it as a small, St Paul version of nyc's Chelsea Market I was sold. And boy were they right! I would highly recommend coming here! We will be back again very soon! Not only do they have a well-curated array of businesses Under one roof but the atmosphere is fantastic. I also have to give extra point to any place in St Paul good enough to make me want to cross the invisible fence of leaving Minneapolis. from the amazing candy floss store to the place where they show mushrooms growing to the amazing meat Market where you can get little cones of meat to the beautiful flower shop this place is a One-Stop shop for foodies and people who appreciate good food in a inviting and pub-like atmosphere.

Cool artisan market to take visitors, your family, or even a girls day/night out! Great variety of vendors, from ice cream, halva, coffee, cheeses, lamb salami, mushrooms, sit down dinning with wine to a brewery that overlooks the entire market. So many fantastic goodies and interesting future purchases. I can’t wait to go back and bring my family!

Allianz Field, located in St. Paul's University neighborhood, is the impressive home of Minnesota United FC and a venue for various events like concerts and boxing matches. Open since March 2019, it offers convenient and secure reservable parking. The stadium provides great views and comfortable temperatures, making it an enjoyable experience for visitors. The facility boasts top-notch amenities including private box areas with fantastic food options. While drinks are pricey, the food selection is varied and reasonably priced.
Another raucous match at Allianz Field for Minnesota United. The stadium always has a great atmosphere, and plenty of food, drinks, and restrooms. Tonight we sat behind the goal in the supporters section and it was loud almost the whole time, but the energy was so good we had a great time.
Ryan A — Google review
It's refreshingly designed for a light, airy, well ventilated, sturdily new and modern feeling. You'll quickly recognize and find your way around the broad circular main floor, well marked at intervals and pointing you up or down a short stairs to numbered seat sections. At the end of the stairs looking left to right each section is divided vertically into lettered blocks A, B, C and so on. Each block then is filled with rows of seats numbered 1, 2, 3 and so on. The entire main floor is ringed with interesting food, drink, merchandise and other concessions plus services. Won't be hard to find your seat or refreshments or your way around! It's soccer American style, loud, patriotic, entertaining with a hint of Disney (cute life-size furry mascots) and Wrestlemania (cue the ringside announcer intros). It works! The crowds get rizzed up, palpable excitement is in the air and most people can't help bopping at some point to the music, singing, chanting, drumming, clapping and cheering. Wasn't counting but there's like two gates near each of the four corners of the stadium main floor, enter and egress was pretty smooth and easy. We took the Green Line MetroTransit train saving many bucks on parking, and that worked pretty great. A single pass is good for 2 1/2 hrs so if you don't dawdle one ticket for two bucks will get you there and back.
Peter L — Google review
The stadium is well built, and you’ll have a good view of the field and the game whenever you sit! The food quality is also better than most stadium with a nice selection of local beer!

I am not really into soccer. I have been working in Saint Paul and have driven by this stadium for years but had never been inside until recently. My company had a work event here and the place is very impressive. Clean, nice and comfortable. We took a tour and it looks like it would be a lot of fun to see a game here. I got tickets for me and my son for a game after that.

Great stadium with great prices! The atmosphere is so electric and singing wonder wall is so fun at the end. Can't wait to go back for my next game! I ate some pizza and chatted with the other fans. Was really a great experience, glad I could share that with the kiddo.

Omgosh, this was our 1st time to Allianz Field, and it couldn't have been a better time! We absolutely had a BLAST! Of course the Loons were playing Kansas City, in which we lived for over 38yrs, but Kansas wasn't on their game this time. Loons kicked their butts! But it didn't matter much to us who won, because the experience and memories will carry on in our hearts forever. Thank you for the fantastic time. 🩵🖤

Brilliant place for soccer. From the uk, ive been to a few MLS games but the MNUTD v seattle was by far the highest standard mls game ive been to. Couple this with the brilliant atmosphere in the loons end (standing area) and the family fun before the match made this a great experience. Song/DJ selections were brilliant, mr Brightside coming on in second half and the scarf waving for a corner stood out in particular. Close to transport links and very family friendly. Really enjoyed our experience

Union Depot, located in St. Paul, MN, is a historic train station that offers a unique experience in the heart of the city. Visitors can start their Saturday with free yoga and then explore the farmers market, which runs through October in the summer and has a smaller version during winter. The depot also houses eateries like Salty Tart and Saint Dinette where you can savor delicious treats.
Beautiful riverside station with classic architecture. Staff were incredibly helpful, and there are plenty of cafés and grab-and-go options. Caught the sunrise here-absolutely stunning. Clean, organized, and easy to navigate. Highly recommend!
Ayça K — Google review
I didn’t know the depot had a museum located on the 2nd floor. It was nice to see all the beautiful history in this building it was great to see what kind of growth in it and around the area. Many things for your convenience located inside the station a restaurant, store, free library and shoe shine. The weekend has the farmers market just a block away with a great selection. Very great staff helping my daughter on her first train ride. Train was on time. The staff said they work hard to make sure the flow goes well. They are great directing people to the section they need to go. I also was pleased to see how they also use the location for local community activities. This weekend they were having an art fair, many vendors filled the area. For the most part I think this looks a little like it is still frozen in time. The restoration that was done looks great. One sad thing…The parking was disappointing even on the weekend the parking below always says full and are not available because they have now rented out to people for monthly spots. There was a vendor for the fair that had to go two blocks with her inventory because the parking for the visitors of the depot is not available. She still had to pay the $4 even though she wasn’t there 5 minutes to be able to turn around. I have handicap tags he almost didn’t let me go in either. He would not even look at my disabled plates without me insisting to look. I have plates but because my daughter was traveling she had her tag with us. Then when he did let us in he gave me attitude and followed us to make sure we parked in the ADA approved spots. My vendor friend was not able to park there even thought we saw 20 + open spots. Those are not left available for people using the union depot, that is very disappointing. I would have given a 5 star except the parking issue and that staff working it had a poor attitude. Once we were in the building everyone was very helpful.

We caught the train to Chicago from Union Depot—and I wasn’t expecting such old-world grandeur! I absolutely loved everything about it. The station is full of charm and character, with: • fantastic photo opportunities • beautiful art installations • massive, comfy sofas • an atmosphere that transports you back to the early 20th century • a lovely bookstore • a very interesting coffee shop with good coffee • and a friendly police presence Even if you’re not taking a train, it’s worth dropping by just to soak in the ambiance.

Mall of America® is a colossal four-level shopping center featuring an extensive array of over 520 stores and around 50 dining options. The complex also includes attractions such as an aquarium, amusement park, and cinema. With so much to explore, visitors may find it challenging to cover everything in just one afternoon. To make the most of the experience, it's advisable for first-time guests to plan their visit in advance.
One word for first time visitors… Overwhelming! But the directory stations are very helpful to search for what you want. If you bring kids, the Lego Store and aquarium are must visits. The food court is vast and you have many choices with different types of food. Parking garage has 7 levels with clearly marked signage to find your way around. We spent 6 hours at the mall on a weekend and only covered 60% of what we wanted to do. I recommend searching stores and activities BEFORE visiting to save you time. Give yourself time to take it all in at certain spots. This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

This was a really cool place to visit. I came here for work. Worked hard then played harder. The Mall of America is a clean mall the people walking around are friendly. There is non stop shopping and eating. Multi levels. There are repeating stores or places to eat. The architecture of the building is very gorgeous inside, giving it a clean perspective. I had 0 issues with parking both days I visited. I did not get to try everything. There are giant Lego statues that add to the experience of the visit. An aquarium at the very bottom that is affordable and fun for family, friends, or co workers. There are nice restaurants at the top floor. A place where you can almost feel at home. The information tablets were not my favorite I do with there was a map we could look at. Nickelodeon world was also very cool to see and my kids would have loved every moment and rode every ride. This mall even has a Toys R Us, for most of us growing up. It was ripped away. I will be visiting this location again in the future.
Robert C — Google review
I finally was able to check Mall of America off my bucket list. It definitely has a bunch of stores but I Loved the amusement park inside it also had a train and aquarium but we ran out of time to do. I dont like that even on weekends the mall closes at 9pm each day. Why not 10 or 11 with it being such a huge mall. Nevertheless I had a wonderful time I stayed at Radisson Blu which is connected to the mall and highly recommend cause it made the trip that much more easy and fun knowing we can just go to our room and back to the mall as we pleased. I think the best part was the mall off shuttles you to the Mystic Casino for free and we had a blast at the Casino.
Veronica D — Google review
I don't particularly like shopping centers, so this one was a surprise for me. I have only seen a smaller part of it but what I saw I absolutely loved. The inside Nickelodeon theme park is awesome, so is the Lego store. The Radisson Blu entrance looked really elegant, and there are so many things to see beside the shops. If you want a great family time come to the Mall of America. I plan to return at Christmas. The Christmas trees are 4 stories high. The place is magical. There is every restaurant you can imagine. A ton of things for the kids and shopping, shopping and more shopping.

This place is MASSIVE. You’ll spend HOURS there. So many things to see and do. Better bring your spending money and comfortable shoes. Loads of things to buy and many steps will be taken. Perfect way to spend a cold and rainy day with friends and family. We hope to visit again.

This choice is truly an experience and well worth a visit. Not only because of the extensive entertainment program in the amusement park, but also because of the large selection of excellent shops. What I found particularly positive was the wide range of restaurants. You can easily spend hours here.

OK, what can I say that can possibly be any different than any other review?. but I'm going to tell you from my perspective. This is a great place. It's not only huge, but it's aesthetically pleasing. There was security and police presence that made you feel safe. It was very clean and looking at all the things for kids was awesome. I can't wait to come back to visit again and Shop. There are multiple stores for all types.. We went to a few different restaurants. Everything was good. they also had a variety of stores with games Legos, escape room, puzzles, the list is so long, but those are just a few.

Minnehaha Falls is a stunning 53-foot waterfall located in Minnehaha Park, the most-visited park in Minneapolis. The falls are formed by the Minnehaha Creek, which flows from Lake Minnetonka to the Mississippi River.
Love this waterfall and the park around it. The top view of waterfall is wheelchair accessible. To get to the bottom you have to walk down 109 steps. The area near the falls where you see many pictures of is actually closed off, but many climb it to get close to the waterfall. There is also a nice hiking trail that continues along the river. The whole park is great with playgrounds, wading area, picnic area, bike rental wading pool, flower gardens, old railway station, and more. If you visit waterfall in summer or fall, be prepared to only see little water. There is plenty of paid street parking. $2.50 per hour.

My son and I spent a beautiful day here! It's absolutely breath taking from the beautiful waterfall to the sounds of the rushing water. So peaceful, like free therapy and just what I needed. The park is enormous and boast a pavilion with a restaurant with wonderful food and drinks. It also had a huge grassy area for just relaxing in a chair or on a blanket. The only bad things I have to say is, I don't live closer so I can be here every day. It's absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I highly highly recommend.

Nice outlook at a nice fall! Parking is very close. Trails are great. I walked down to the Mississippi River and three different kind of squirrels. Great historical place where President Johnson visited and the first settler in Minneapolis.

Minnehaha Falls is always a great stop for anyone visiting the area. It is peaceful and scenic with the incredible power of the falls. This year (2025) has been great with a nice amount of rainfall all year, even late in the year it is still going strong.

My husband and I visited at the end of September. Parking and payment was done with ease. The park is beautiful and dog friendly! A beautiful walk amongst friendly people. It’s so nice to find so much beauty in the city

Minnehaha Falls is a lush, verdant park. There is an appropriate balance between man made structures and natural beauty. Many trails are very steep for less able walkers, but there are plenty of flat trails to suffice. I love all the stairs personally. The park is very clean and well maintained, with bathrooms and garbages typically nearby. There’s a myriad of different locations for picnics, whether it be right on the flat ground above the falls, at picnic tables closer to the sidewalks by the falls overlook, at the restaurant in the park, or down below and the water hole/river area that the path leads individuals to. There’s so much to do at the park, whether it be eating at the Sea Salt restaurant, going to Art In The Park, attending the annual Nami walk, dipping your toes in the river, hiking, running, doing stairs workouts, riding bike, riding the provided electric scooters, grabbing a drink at the restaurant or little bar on the other side of the restaurant, seeing live music, taking your kids to the playground installed, fishing in the Mississippi, the list goes on. Minnehaha Falls is a must visit location.

Mill City Museum is a captivating destination that offers an immersive experience into the history of Minneapolis and the flour industry. Housed within the reconstructed ruins of the Washburn "A" Mill, visitors can explore interactive exhibits that narrate the city's evolution alongside the flour industry. The museum, located on the banks of the Mississippi Riverfront, provides insight into how this industry shaped Minneapolis' growth. As part of the St.
We had a fantastic time at the Mill City Museum in Minneapolis. It’s built right into the ruins of an old flour mill, which gives it a really unique and historic atmosphere. The museum does a great job of telling the story of how Minneapolis became the flour milling capital of the world. The Flour Tower ride was an awesome experience. It’s an elevator-style tour that stops at different levels and shows what life was like when the mill was running.👌👌 There are a lot of hands-on exhibits, You can even learn about baking and water power in really interactive ways. rooftop observation deck—the views of the Mississippi River and the Stone Arch Bridge are absolutely. Convenient paid parking is available nearby

We absolutely adored this museum (and I am really not a museum lover). We loved the quirky introduction Video that gave an overview of the city throughout the years and how the flour mill fit into the economic growth of the city. All of the “artifacts” were so nostalgic and brought back so many fun memories of days gone by! Our kids 17, 14 & 11 loved all of the interactive activities (not just cool for little kids). My daughter and I loved putting together the large wooden block puzzle. The highlight though is the tower tour…think Tower of Terror without the drop and the terror haha! It was set up in a similar fashion with nostalgic scenes of the flour mill how it would have looked in its prime and also people’s accounts/voices that actually worked there, sharing their memories! It was so intriguing! Do not hesitate going to this museum! It was such a fun and unique experience.
Lynae C — Google review
We had a way better time than we expected. The elevator guided part of the tour was neat, good information. Great views of the falls, river and stone arch bridge from the observation deck. Enjoyed seeing the history and learning a bit about the flour milling process. No complaints and the street parking was simple, paid $5 I think for 2 hours, which was plenty to do the museum.
James M — Google review
Set on the scenic banks of the Mississippi River, Minneapolis’s Mill City Museum is a striking fusion of industrial ruin, architectural innovation, and regional history—and easily one of the most memorable cultural destinations in the Midwest. From the moment you approach the museum, you’re greeted by the towering remains of the Washburn “A” Mill, once the largest flour mill in the world and the beating heart of Minneapolis’s late 19th-century identity as the “Flour Milling Capital of the World.” The iconic “Gold Medal Flour” sign still sits proudly atop the historic grain elevators, a nostalgic beacon linking the city’s modern energy to its industrious past. The structure itself is a work of art: a masterclass in adaptive reuse. The museum integrates preserved stone ruins of the original mill—some walls charred and scarred by past fires and explosions—with sleek glass-and-steel walkways and modern installations. From the outdoor courtyard and the massive glass façade etched with mill schematics, visitors are literally walking through history, surrounded by ghost traces of what once was. Inside, the museum captures the ingenuity and grit of Minneapolis’s industrial age. The preserved machinery, gears, pulleys, and antique steam engines are fascinating in their own right—but they’re made more compelling by thoughtful interpretation. From vintage tractors to flour sifters, each artifact tells a story of labor, technology, and transformation. The immersive exhibits, such as the Flour Tower elevator show (which re-creates the life of the mill), add a dramatic and cinematic dimension to the visit. A particular highlight is the view from the observation deck. It offers sweeping panoramas of the Mississippi River and the Stone Arch Bridge, with its elegant curves and pedestrian-friendly path, linking past to present. It’s a spot that invites reflection—on the river that powered the mills and on the city that rose from them. The museum doesn’t just celebrate machinery—it celebrates people. Exhibits thoughtfully highlight the lives of mill workers, immigrants, and women who shaped the milling industry, making this not just an architectural experience, but a deeply human one. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture lover, or simply looking for a unique and enriching afternoon in Minneapolis, Mill City Museum delivers. It’s a rare place where ruins speak, machines hum stories, and the Mississippi keeps flowing—as it always has—just outside.

Fun museum with lots to look at and an amazing viewing deck. The elevator tour was quirky and enjoyable, only running about 10 minutes long, leaving lots of time to explore the rest of the museum. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back!
Willow — Google review
This was a good museum. I especially liked the elevator tour. You travel up and down the building in an elevator to see the different floors and hear stories of what it was like to work in the mill through recordings of actual workers. The view from the top floor is excellent.
Kriste B — Google review
Enjoyed my museum visit here. The flour tower tour was an interesting concept where you get to ride the elevator up and down and learn along the way. Wished the museum offers a little bit more hands on types of things like being able to operate the various equipments to get a taste of how it was like rather than only seeing or reading about it. The view on the observation deck floor is great!

The Weisman Art Museum, designed by the renowned architect Frank O. Gehry, is a modern stainless steel and brick building located near the Mississippi River on the University of Minnesota campus. The museum's stunning exterior often draws attention from visitors due to its unique design, especially at sunset. Inside, it houses a diverse collection of over 25,000 works of art including American and contemporary paintings, ceramics, Korean furniture, and special exhibitions throughout the year.
This museum is a gem. Architecture is best seen from the river front entrance as far as I can tell. Appreciated the diversity of exhibits heavy (incarceration/partition) to laughter. I am visiting and it was a worthy reprieve between conference sessions. And a fun walk across the bridge back to downtown. It’s free too. My visit was Saturday at lunch time. There’s a space to just sit in a space with lots of light so a good rest spot too.

This is a bit of a hidden gem of a museum that ois on the UMinn campus. It is FREE, for one thing! It has a really fun facade that makes it one of more unique buildings in the Cities and certainly on campus. There is a fun Cities concept exhibit that talks about you can think of different City concepts than the norm, and it has an interesting sky way map in the downtown Minneapolis. A variety of classic and modern-ish art displays. A great reason Togo to campus and then explore a very beautiful campus as well!

PROS: Worthy and relevant example of great contemporary architecture. Fine urban relations to be explored and discovered. CONS: limited visit hours. Extremely difficult to observe from the surrounding, largely due to the U. of Minnesota’s public access restrictions to its buildings across the bridge on the opposite side of the Mississippi River.

Phenomenal Art Museum!!! Much of the Art is from various cultures. Very diversified Museum!! Much needed in the USA. Credit University of Minnesota to have it on their campus. The building itself....the architecture is beyond your imagination. Yes... I said Beyond! Stainless Steel & glimmering beauty along the banks of the Mississippi River. Did I mention it was free? If in Minneapolis, A must visit at the U of M.

I'm honestly not much of an art museum fan. But I do enjoy unusual architecture and this building piqued my interest. Plus, it is free admission. There were a few exhibits/pieces that I found interesting. The location is also nice for some photos being by the river and a pedestrian bridge. I didn't stay too long so street parking was good enough for me.

Riverview Theater is a classic 1940s movie theater located in the Howe neighborhood of Minneapolis. It offers a nostalgic movie experience with its 1950s style, featuring high-back rocker seats and digital sound. The theater showcases a variety of films, from Hollywood blockbusters to niche art films, in its 700-seater auditorium. With affordable ticket prices for children and special deals on matinees and Tuesdays, it's a great place for family outings.
Unique, hip, old-school theater that has remained authentic through the ages. This theater not only shows movies but is tapped into the local community hosting fun events. This theater is cash only but definitely worth the experience

The Riverview Theater is one of those special places we are so lucky to have in the neighborhood. We love seeing movies there and reasonable prices to enjoy the movie and a treat for a good price. We also love the to-go popcorn option. Best movie theater popcorn is found here!

Best neighborhood theater there is! It's an older style but priced accordingly and they even show old films once in a while which is so fun to see in theaters. The best was seeing The Shining at a midnight showing!

PARKING - To my fellow non-parallel parkers: the only option for parking is on the street, but there aren't many businesses around so there isn't much competition for spots. It's mostly a residential area. We arrived 30 minutes before the show (Sun 3pm) and found a spot I could easily pull into less than a block from the theater. If the street the theater is on is full, go one block over.
Breanna — Google review

One theater, kid friendly. Went and seen Lilo & STiTch. Great family day or night fun. Very affordable!!! You can also let your little ones experience how movies were back in the day, then they are now.
Brandi W — Google review
It's not the biggest, most boastful, cutting edge theater you will ever go to. But it's 100% a vibe and is affordable. It's a great theater to bring the family to, and there's just something about it that is charming. It's a theater. It plays movies. It has popcorn and drinks. And that's it.
Paul T — Google review
This is the most charming movie theater in the entire Twin Cities area, hands down, absolutely deserving of its current rating of 4.9 out of five stars! Built in 1948, the owners have worked hard to maintain its last-century charm. Delightful art-deco design touches will catch your eye throughout. The lobby feels as though you’ve stepped back in time, a place where I am instantly at ease. The prices are among the best in town. Show tickets are very reasonable, especially for a matinee. The concessions are very fairly priced as well, and I challenge anyone to find a better popcorn in town! (Seriously, this place might be worth a trip just for the popcorn.) The theater only has one screen, so they will rotate various shows at different times of day. The screen is smaller than most modern day metroplexes, but it is bright, and the sound system is great. I recently watched a film that featured a child singing, which I heard distinctly behind me and to the left. I thought it was an audience member. Turns out it was the soundtrack! The seats are very comfortable, and while they are not modern day recliners, they do rock a little bit and have movable arm rests that feature cupholders. My last film was 2 1/2 hours, and I was very comfortable the entire time. The front half of the auditorium has a sloped floor, and the back half of the auditorium features stadium style seating, just like they used to do in the old days! If you’re looking for a great movie watching experience, even more so if you’re looking for something that feels really cool and retro, then the Riverview theater is your place!

Indian Mounds Regional Park, also known as Mounds Park, is a historic and charming park located in St. Paul's east downtown. It serves as an ancient burial ground for over two American Indian cultures and features walking tours of 30 identified trees. The park offers stunning views of downtown St. Paul, the Mississippi River, and the surrounding bluffs.
I visited this park in the morning hours. This is when it is at its best. You can see eagles and deer here if you are quiet. It is absolutely lovely in the Fall. A note on the homeless staying in the park. In 2023, they used the Echo Pavillion as a shelter. This is not a suitable place to shelter. Wind and rain howls through this structure in storms, and when it is being used this way, park guests can not visit it. This year, the issue in the park is people parking overnight in their cars and sleeping in them, especially along the curb next to the picnic area. On one occasion, one of these overnight sleepers menaced a park guest using the fitness trail. I have seen them stepping out of their cars and just waiting. These persons present a hazard to cyclists and pedestrians using the trail.

Very nice park, a decent amount of people there. Very peaceful. Kind of overshadowed by the airport, which is visible from the park. Good view of Saint Paul
Hyde R — Google review
This park has a lot to offer. Open fields, park benches, Pavilions, a playground, public restroom, even a wonderful scenic view of the city. The burial grounds can also be a great sight if your into it. One complaint I do have however is that there's an ugly tennis court with cracks everywhere, and grass growing all over the court. Compared to the rest of the park it just looks hideous. The city either needs to tear it down or renovate it. Aside from that you got yourself a nice park. This place seems ideal for family picnics, or short strolls.

Lovely park with an interesting group of people that you sometimes see at the end of the day on a summer night. Other than that there are very good views of the city of Saint Paul and is a nice place to just "let go" for a few minutes. Also fun to see the fireworks on the 4th. :)

So, I've been doing this thing since Daylight Savings time happened a few weeks ago, that I was going to try once a week (whether permitting) to go visit a spot in or around the Twin Cities and watch the sun set after work. This past week, I went to Indians Mound Park in St. Paul and was not disappointed. The park offers a unique view of the river and the city behind it - and it also boasts 6 prehistoric Indian burial mounds. It's pretty sweet. I'd like to go back in the spring or summer because there was still quite a bit of snow on the ground and I wasn't able to explore the park as much as I would've like. Overall, it looks well-kept and seems like I fun place to take in. As I drove down the hill, I was able to capture several other photos, and it brought pure joy to my heart to see that I wasn't the only one enjoying mother nature's work of art that evening.

Place is super cool and kid friendly. A great place to step back in time to see the old days of steam. The free 15 minute train ride to go with your entry fee is well worth the adventure out there!

The space and trains were very cool. My 3 year old absolutely loved it. Only "complaints" I have are there was less to see that I thought and no real food choices. Either way, I would definitely recommend if you're into that kind of stuff.

Overall a great time, we were able to ride the train and after talking to one of the volunteers were able to go into the restoration area and see a couple a trains being restored. I didn't realize the last time we visited that you can request a tour of the restoration area. Take advantage of it if you have the time, very informative and fun.
Jon F — Google review
Purchased our tickets inside and the woman at the desk gave us no information at all. Decided to do the caboose ride but waited almost 30 minutes before someone said they would be over momentarily to get started. During our wait, multiple staff members passed by but completely ignored us. I understand most of the staff are volunteers but a large number of them were sitting together on benches chatting and eating together (this was at 3 pm). A simple sign at the gate showing when the next ride would take place would be very helpful and save a lot of time! Figured we would get a drink and a snack but the only option was a soda (2 choices) and potato chips or Oreo cookies, some left and went to a cafe. For the $15 entry fee we expected more, at least some engagement from the people running the museum. There was a young guy working on the caboose ride and he was friendly and cheerful, so 5 stars to him. The exhibit is quite small and we spent less than an hour there, including our 30 minute wait for the caboose ride, which is 5 minutes there and back.

This is a great train museum and has short train rides on Saturdays. There are a lot of hands on exhibits and toys that keep kid's (of any age - train tables, Legos, coloring, train simulators, models, etc) interest. Fort Snelling State Park, located along the eastern edge of Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, covers 3,000 acres and offers a variety of outdoor activities. The park features a golf course, numerous trails for hiking, biking, and skiing, as well as swimming opportunities. Birdwatchers can explore the park's 18 miles of trails with binoculars or a telephoto lens to spot various bird species using the Mississippi River Flyway during migration.
This is a really nice park. The trails are very wide and well-groomed even though they're dirt. With all the rain we've gotten recently my feet weren't even muddy. What's really neat about the trail. At least the pine Island trail. Is you're always walking along the river. Going in you're going down the Minnesota River and then in the middle is where the two rivers join and form one. And then coming back you follow the Mississippi. Always views to look at! And lots of birds. I was lucky enough to see a barge pushing a very large shipment. The trail was not too long either it was about 4.3 miles. And most of it was shade. The nature center is really neat to a lot of history. This one is definitely worth checking out!!

There are overlooks onto the river and native planted areas with informative and interactive signs about the history and about the nature. You can also see the outside of the Church. The fort was closed the day we went, but requires additional charge I believe. The hike was uphill to the fort. On the way back we stopped in the visitor center. It was a small but nice pace with information.

Off 5th Street in Lower Town, there’s music events happening in the stage, year round noon time in the park. Good for having lunch, walking your dog, or just chilling, while you gather your thoughts.

I love coming to Mears Park when they have events taking place, which is fairly often. I just went over the weekend to the Twin Cities Jazz festival being held here, and I had a great time here. The square shape of the park was a perfect setup for food trucks to line the streets around the park. They had two different stages playing music, and everything sounded great. My favorite food truck there was I-Pierogi. I had an excellent kielbasa there.

😊Always love this beautiful little gem, although we we're surprised to see Christmas decorations up yesterday which was St. Patrick's Day.🍀 Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day for the awesome parade!🤩💚🥳☘️

Hep spot with hot tunes for the Jazz Fest. Food and drinks available with people getting in the groove

Dog-friendly, outdoor movie nights & concerts w/ food trucks, frequent site for wedding photographs, gorgeous fall foliage! The sound of flowing water, and the dappled shade from the birch trees makes this park feel pretty zen. Great place for walking your dog or meeting up with friends.

Nice live band and great food vendors during the jazz fest. The local bars and restaurants in the area have great food and excellent customer service. The drinks are very affordable and the food is great.

Just passed though while walking to a restaurant. Nice clean park area seemed like a nice place to sit and rest for a while in a city that seems to never stop moving

The Cafesjian's Carousel is an antique wooden carousel with hand carved horses that provides a traditional amusement park experience for children. The ride is beautifully maintained and features a fascinating history. It is such a treasure that it was running on the day of our visit!
This iconic historic merry go round was at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds when I was a little girl. Years later after it was moved to Como Zoo in St. Paul., I took my own kids. In our visit today in 2024, it closes at 4pm daily and the cost is only $4. The music is the same as I will always remember.

Such an incredible story! it was wonderful to meet the staff and be able to celebrate our wedding with a ride on the carousel! Thank you for helping make our day exceptionally special in putting a huge smile on several faces.

So fun I lived in St Paul for the better part of 30 years and never remember going on this beautiful piece of work. Visited the twin cities in May and I just needed to give it a try. Me and my friend loved it, so fun and the employees are lovely. Glad it's been loved enough to continue running for 100+ years.

This is a wonderful historic, antique hand-painted beautiful carousel. All the horses are Jumpers in it goes pretty fast. Music can be loud for little ones. We love that there is a free day for rides on the 4th Tuesday May-September!
Nirmala D — Google review
This is a fantastic carousel - with an amazing Wurlitzer organ that still functions, as well as four rows of horses - and all of them are jumpers! The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and love their jobs. Keep this carousel running for years to come!

Spectacular. Each antique wooden horse is hand carved and painted. An amazing piece of historian art that children and families can interact with to create lasting memories. Truly a treasure.

Brutally slow onboarding process. The volunteers sit down and take a break with no notice between rides despite a long line of people waiting. Then will give a long introduction speech and demonstration before finally onboarding can begin. I understand these are volunteers, but the wait time is unacceptable especially for a ride meant for children. The actual ride is great and an enjoyable time but the overall experience was maddening for all of us waiting in line yesterday.

Magical!! ✨ I was so excited that the carousel was running the day I went. Loved reading the history posted. The horses are gorgeous and I'm so pleased they have been so well taken care of.

Como Town is an amusement park situated within the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. It offers a variety of traditional and interactive rides suitable for children aged 2-12. The park features over 18 rides, including the Soaring Zip Ride, Splash Zone, and Tilt-A-Whirl. Visitors can also enjoy attractions like a dinosaur exhibit and cute dinosaur rides.
Completely unacceptable. Nothing is open or running at Como Town. Asked at the ticket desk if ALL of these rides were closed down and they said that they were waiting on parts from Italy. I don’t believe for one minute that the roller coaster, swings, frogged, splash pad, Hodge Park (not a ride) are ALL out of commission. When you drive from out of town 2.5 hours to spend the day at the zoo and the amusement park it’s a complete waste of the day. Last year same song and dance; no roller coaster, no swings. My guess is no workers. Won’t be coming back. MN Zoo and MOA. At least you are guaranteed half of the exhibits and rides will be going.

We purchased tickets in advance for the mythical exhibition. It was not worth $9.99 nor the 12.99 that was actually the total after taxes and processing fees. It was not for the age group of our 11 year olds. Animation is ok for young children, but young children would not understand what they are looking at.

I visited on 9/20 with my younger siblings, but our experience was marred by this red hair lady (who was the operator of the tornado ride) with a nasty attitude. Half the rides were closed. While my siblings waited in line, they witnessed her being rude to young children. When I returned with more points, she yelled at my siblings for trying to shoo away bees, which were mostly surrounding us. I decided it wasn't worth our time to ride with her, so we left. I am disappointed to see an employee at a family-friendly venue being disrespectful to children.

We drove 5 hours to get here and the best rides were shut down. We paid $29 for a wristband and there were barely any rides to go on. Let us know before we drive 5 hours. AND they price gouge water. $3 for a bottle of water is ridiculous. Most of the ride operators dont even look like they want to be there. No smiles or anything. AND we saw a ride operator on her phone while the ride was going. We won’t come back for this again.
Jody W — Google review
There was a sign for the new exhibit magical creatures saying 999 per person kids under 2 free whatever and I was charged 12 a person , didn’t think too much at the time because of Walz and his taxes but it’s a scam
Teri J — Google review
We were at the como town and my son wanted to go on the tiger tracks ride and they told us it was not available, so we asked for the soaring zip line and it is incredibly expensive. When we were about to leave we saw kids getting on the tiger tracks ride. Not happy about that. Please tell your workers to be honest and bring down the prices.
Cecilia M — Google review
This place is a scam $32.00 for unlimited pass then they only allowed my daughter who is a girl of color could only go on the swings everything else was closed then I asked if I could get a refund because my daughter her was told she could only ride the swings my daughter is 7 years old and they still woulnd allow her to ride anything else but allowed the white children to go on the bumper cars alone. But told my daughter she couldn't ride with her big sister who's 13 I will never return here racism at this place the workers who are white didn't care when I asked why she couldn't go on other rides save your money or go to the mall of America
Julie R — Google review
This place is a classic. But im very disappointed by the green. The height requirements on the rides are not for safety but for greed. Example, the tilt a whirl, my son is big enough to ride it at valleyfair, the state fair, and our town fair. But at como town, he's not. Why? So a chaperone has to go with him. Chaperones have to have their own tickets, they do not ride free. Even MOA allows chaperones yo ride free. All the rides that a child who is say 44 inches could normally ride have ridiculous requirement like 56 inches or they have to have a chaperone. It is a way to force you to buy more wristbands. Not to mention everything is always closed. Splash pads been closed YEEAAARSSS
