Cenote Zaci, also known as Cenote Zacil-ha, is a stunning open-air cenote located in the heart of Valladolid. Despite being situated in the midst of the hot and humid city, it offers a peaceful and beautiful escape from the urban hustle. This semi-open cenote is popular for activities like swimming, cliff jumping, and snorkeling (no scuba diving).
✅ Positives: Beautiful cenote with plenty of jump spots and a waterfall. Located right in the middle of Valladolid, making it convenient if you want to explore the city and grab food afterward. Life jackets are mandatory and included with the ticket (MXN 150 per person). We went on a weekend and it was busy with locals — try a weekday for fewer crowds. 🤷 OK: Water isn’t as crystal clear as some other cenotes, but still very beautiful. ❌ Negatives: Can get very crowded, especially on weekends. Limited places to store your bags. You even get charged for toilet paper when using the restroom (MXN 8). Overall: Scenic and centrally located cenote, great for a quick swim if you’re exploring Valladolid, but best visited on a quieter weekday.
Luiz B — Google review
Price is $150 pesos for adults and half the price for children, life jacket included in the price. Walkable for the centre so easy to get. We went just before 4pm and there were still quite a lot of people. Not sure whether it’s the bright orange lifejackets, or the man made features or just that it’s busy but didn’t quite feel like the typical nature swims I’m used to.
Kirsty L — Google review
The price at the front gate is 150 pesos which includes the life jacket. The price is NOT 300 pesos and the life jacket is NOT extra. Careful of the gatekeeper.
John J — Google review
Value for money At €.60 per person, children half price including life jackets, toilet. Definitely value for money. I'm sure the other centres around valladolid are beautiful too, but most being around 350 pesos can't justify the prices. Not crowded, cool and refreshing l. Well worth the visit!
Michelle H — Google review
It's a very nice place. My wife and I arrived at 9:30am and were the first people there. We paid 150 pesos each, which included entry and a life vest. It's compulsory to wear the life vest when swimming. The water was lovely and very refreshing. There is a great jumping platform for anyone who dares. It's a good way to start your day.
Dominik L — Google review
A good Cenote for it‘s place directly in the City Centre. Entrada is 150$ per person. You have a 7m jumping Spot which is nice
Andreas P — Google review
Given its location in the middle of town I wasn’t expecting much from Cenote Zaci but, oh my days, it’s a beauty. I visited at around 11am on a weekday, which was perfect. I’m guessing weekend afternoons might be busy. Pay at the kiosk and pick up your life vest, then ooh and ahh as you gingerly navigate the stone steps (and little cave). The plants are spectacular, and the whole setting is simply dazzling. Highly recommended.
Steve S — Google review
Awesome experience at zaci senote. Many mentioned all good things. In downtown valladolid, super cheap to enter, only 60 pesos. Its half open so sun can get in and you can hide from the sun if its super hot. 5-6 meter jump platform is very cool. You dont see that very often. Can get crowded but they limit the amount of people that can get it. Very cool experience with lots of locals. I’ll definitely come back when next in town

Located just a few blocks from the city center, Mercado Municipal de Valladolid offers an authentic Mexican market experience and a glimpse into local life. The bustling market is filled with vendors selling everything from affordable clothing to fresh produce, spices, handicrafts, and flowers. Despite some reports of unpleasant odors, many visitors find the market vibrant and full of life.
I was fueling up at the petrol station opposite and I decided to have a look at this market. It was Sunday afternoon so some stall had already closed or were shutting down. The produce looks really good and there is another section with shoes, hats, trinkets and so on. I bought an Obsidian bracelet and massaging stone for a fraction of the price in the centre. Some of the people here are actually making the things that they are selling. Follow Calle 37 out of the centre and it is opposite the petrol station. It is not far.
Gordon B — Google review
Great vibes with an assortment of vendors selling fresh produce and hand crafted goods. Restroom costs MX$5 to use and was relatively sanitary. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
David W — Google review
Valladolid is one of the most beautiful cities in the Península and if you live in Yucatán is mandatory to visit it at least once in your life. There is a lot of regional food in the market of the city and you also can buy some local vegetables. Near the market, there is also a cenote but you can't access unless you pay. During my vacations last week I also visited the festival of Valladolid is not as big as Xmatkuil festival but it doesn't feel less enjoyable, there is a lot of things to see like the regional dances, during the winter is almost mandatory to wear warm clothes.

Good place for shopping souvenirs
Tatiana S — Google review
Nice little market. 1 of the buildings hosts the butchers and clothing. I'd avoid that build as the smell is not very pleasant. The other building hosts the veg and fruit. It is a newer building and much nicer to visit.
Nikko — Google review
Definitely worth visiting to see some authentic culture. If you’re a traveller like me, pick up some spices. Recommend: achiote, Mexican orégano, and dried peppers. I paid 10 Peso per bag.
Arthur S — Google review
This mercado is little bit off the beaten track, at the edge of town some 10 min walk from the cenote Zaci. It's housed in a beautiful arched colonial style edifice and it's very colorful inside. You'll find everything there - fruits, vegetables, meats, clothes and what I was most amazed with - homemade HOT sauces in so many different colors. I bought over 10 at less than 2$ a piece. Great place to soak local atmosphere and many local eateries around
Dejan B — Google review
Nice stop for ladies looking for souvenirs or fresh fruits and snacks. Colorful display of vegetables, flowers, and also fresh meats. Men would probably be wondering why you took them along. Nice stroll from the city center, about 1 mile. By the way, I always ask for permission before taking pics. Just do it.

Parque Principal Francisco Cantón Rosado is a charming green space located in the heart of Valladolid. It is often referred to as the 'park of love' due to its unique white chairs facing each other, creating a romantic atmosphere for couples. The park features a beautiful fountain at its center, surrounded by benches where visitors can relax and enjoy views of the nearby cathedral. This quaint neighborhood park is perfect for leisurely strolls or letting children play freely.
A lively and charming square in the heart of Valladolid! We visited Parque Principal Francisco Cantón Rosado during our day trip from Cancun and were lucky to catch a delightful local Mexican dance performance, full of color, music, and energy. It gave us a wonderful glimpse into the local culture. Based on our guide’s recommendation, we also tried the coconut ice cream from a street vendor here, it was incredibly refreshing and delicious! The park itself is clean, shaded, and a great place to relax and people-watch. Highly recommended as a cultural and scenic stop.
Rahul P — Google review
Great spot to hang out! There’s always something going on whether it’s performers, photoshoots, or walking tours. The weekend we went there was a protest happening (we weren’t sure what for) but it was cool to see folks around the park with their banners and tents for protest. Lots of seating available and tons of great food vendors. Highly recommend grabbing churros and ice cream within the park. The evening was our favourite time to go because the sunset was really pretty at the park and we loved hearing the birds sing their evening songs!
Anna B — Google review
The lively heart of Valladolid! Parque Principal Francisco Cantón Rosado is a beautiful and vibrant town square surrounded by colonial architecture, local shops, and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to relax under the shade, people-watch, or enjoy some street food — especially marquesitas or churros from local vendors. The stunning San Servacio Church stands right across the square, making it a great photo spot both day and night. A must-visit to feel the local culture and charm of Valladolid!
Nafiz I — Google review
I love squares like this, lots of places to sit and chill and people watch, or bring snacks in from the many vendors in the area.
Craig L — Google review
There is a lot that happens in the town center at night. If you look like a foreigner they will yell and try to get you to buy their products. They are very kind here. Great shopping area. They have a little cafeteria across the street. The Church seemed to always have something going on here too.
Shrena M — Google review
Local plaza in the middle of Valladolid. Lots of food stands and offers a variety of choices of Mexican street food as well as souvenir gift stands. Mostly CASH only (USD or MXN) they accept both. Not sure if they accept credit card. We came here with our tour bus so i'm not sure about the parking situation and the plaza is location in the center of a busy road.
Kirk A — Google review
After Chitzen Itza tour this Tequila spot was like coming home to share your day with family and friends. You could taste the Mom or Aunts touch of something special in the meal, simple but flavored by friendly cooks. The town was colorful and people bustling through, not NY bustling but kindof NY in the laid back south with a hint of coastal humming.

Convento de San Bernardino de Siena, located in Valladolid, is a significant colonial site dating back to the mid-16th century. It served as a Franciscan headquarters and played a crucial role in the early conversion of the local Mayan population to Christianity. The convent features original elements, including centuries-old walkways and a peaceful courtyard. Visitors can explore the small museum, which showcases discoveries related to cenotes and artifacts found within them.
Went to the evening light show. (there's also another one elsewhere in the city). Was neat, but the sound that goes with the show had an echo so it was a bit hard to understand the story. Runs in Spanish and then English shortly after. Neat little stop after a late dinner nearby.
Megan S — Google review
Ex Convento de San Bernardino de Siena is definitely worth seeing. The design is unique, and there's quite a bit to explore inside. The entrance fee of 20 MXN is minimal, making it a great value for what you get. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are in Valladolid!
River A — Google review
A beautiful and historic place to visit in Valladolid! The Convento de San Bernardino de Siena has so much charm and atmosphere. The entrance fee is very affordable (20 pesos), and inside you’ll find not only the impressive old church but also photo exhibitions that give more context to the history of the convent. The grounds are peaceful and lovely to walk around — there’s an old well, as well as avocado and banana trees that add to the unique vibe of the place. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Valladolid, whether for the history, the architecture, or just to enjoy the quiet and beauty of the convent.
Sergey P — Google review
I wishit has monks inside, also I wish that we can be missionaries like the first people. Two interesting things inside this monastery, first is the well outside in the garden area, second is the exhibition. One of the photos inside the exhibition was about the underground excavations showing divers inside a big water cave. Nice park outside to sit and watch. I took some photos for the cloud outside ( can you find the rainbow in the cloud? ). Entrance about $2 US dollars and it worth to pay it. If they make access to the water cave area and charge $25 I will pay. I want to mention also the night light show on the building, see the photos. The show starts in Spanish at 9:00 and will be followed about 9:20 in English.
Karam S — Google review
A simple but large homage to San Bernadino. At night, I believe at 9pm, the convent features beautiful light show cast upon the convent. Worthwhile visit if youre in Valladolid.
Laine A — Google review
We went on a Sunday just before closing. We were about the only ones there. That diagonal road that leads from near the square to the Convent is a nice walk. Lots of good places to eat.
John J — Google review
Well worth the visit. It’s bigger inside than you expect and the history of the place is impressive. It is very inexpensive to get in about $2, if I remember, and the lady was glad we had exact money as she had no change.
Daniel P — Google review
Very interesting place inside and out. See the light show in the evening and watch a colorful overview of Valladolid history. During the day you can visit inside for more details.

Yerbabuena del Sisal is a charming restaurant located in Valladolid, offering a tranquil dining experience across from the Spanish convent of Saint Bernard of Siena. The menu features Yucatec cuisine such as panuchos de cochinita pibil and red chilaquiles, along with vegetarian options and international dishes like burgers and lasagne.
Fantastic place with great vegetarian options. The host was super friendly and the food was unique and delicious. I personally would prefer if they went lighter in the cheese though.

Very good vegan food and excellent customer service. Recommend for vegan food. Mexican and pokebowl style.

It was a feel-good meal with a few great vegan options. All the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. The complimentary mango served before the meal was such a thoughtful touch, and the drinks are served in handcrafted cups, adding a unique and charming touch. The flavors were fresh and vibrant — I’d definitely come back again. A wonderful spot for vegans and travelers alike!
Chaein — Google review
This is my favorite restaurant in Valladolid. The food is absolutely delicious! There is a beautiful garden seating area, calm music, very friendly staff, and an expansive menu that caters to diverse palates and diets. My wife and I have been coming everyday and we are never disappointed. Yerbabuena is a true culinary gem and a must for any foodie.
Christopher H — Google review
Yay veggies! Yerba Buena was a refreshing change after the mostly-meat diet available everywhere else. We had enchiladas, vegetarian lasagne with salad, and mushroom pasta. The succulent pastas seemed to be home-made. Both the linguine and lasagna were truly excellent in texture and flavour.
Hein V — Google review
Edited to add that 4.5 years later I came back and the chilaquiles are still the best! Consistency across the board with flavor, presentation and service. 🙏🏼 Wow! I’ve been in Mexico for 3 months and between all the places I’ve had chilaquiles in various different states and cities, these are the best. This restaurant has a beautifully tranquil outdoor space, the staff is all genuinely friendly and warm and the food tastes good, is presented in a beautiful manner and it’s not overpriced. Good energy matters when cooking and I can tell whoever made my food has it. Muchas Gracias Yerbabuena!
Del C — Google review
Best cappuccino so far on our trip (all others have been too weak for these two Europeans!). The food is decently priced and delicious! So much flavor, and even my spouse who can’t handle spicy food loved his pork dish (he asked for the mole sauce on the side). I had the Yucatán chicken dish and it was incredibly flavorful. Handmade warm blue-corn tortillas on the side. The mole was delicious as well, but a tad on the spicy side even for my taste. Also tried the tamarind Agua fresqua which I’ve never tried before, refreshing but a little sweet (not too sweet, I assume it’s supposed to be a little sweet!). Facilities are clean as well, great restrooms, space between tables, cute decor, pleasant music playing in the background (nothing loud or annoying like in some other places). Also, not often mentioned, but they had sharp cutlery so you can actually cut your meat. This impressed my spouse who has been annoyed by the “butter knives” we’ve received at other places. Staff was super friendly and very efficient with food and getting the bill etc. They even have a little map where you can put a pin to say where you’re from! 10/10 would go back in a heartbeat. Perfect spot for lunch or breakfast.

Xkopek, Beekeeping Park is a unique eco-park located near Valladolid's town center. It offers immersive guided tours where visitors can learn about sustainable beekeeping practices passed down through generations. The park provides insight into the production of honey, its medicinal properties, and its cultural significance to the Mayan people. Xkopek Nature Reserve has been dedicated to preserving the native Melipona bees for over 25 years, making it an ideal destination for nature and sustainability enthusiasts.
Amazing experience! It was a great tour, we thought it was going to be a big tour, but it was a personalized one. The honey tasting was great and we learned a lot! It was the highlight of our trip. We even got to buy some amazing honey for us, would definitely recommend it!
Daiana H — Google review
Loved this place! I loved getting to have a non-typical experience visiting this city and getting to learn about the indigenous bee species and how they were used by the indigenous peoples. The tour guide was a wealth of info and I'm so impressed. It was not busy - I was the only person on the tour on the day I went and it was so fun.
Kellsey L — Google review
Very nice drop-in stop on the way back from Chichen Itza, or while in Valladolid. Such a nice conversation and tour and tasting. This is not just a bee-keeping tour -- it is a Mayan culture tour as well. Check timing ahead of time... he didn't want to start outside of the usual tour time, so we waited a half hour. Double check the pricing too, as it isn't posted - I think we paid more than we should have for just the tour.
Chuck B — Google review
We had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful place and the tour was fantastic. Eduardo was our tour guide and provided us with so much fun information about the different types of bees and plants in the area. We got see the bees as they came into their hives at sunset and even got to taste a bunch of honey products. The location as a whole is beautiful and they have huts and bungalows you can stay in. I recommend this cute and fun tour while on Valladolid!

Quiet place in Valladolid. We spent 2 nights in a cabin. This is a Beekeeping business so you can get "bee-tours" and buy honey products. They have a pool, bar and restaurant and also a camping site for tents. Private parking on site. Overall good price for value.
DeeDee — Google review
I have done the bee tour here twice. The most recent time it was quite good and informative. The first time I came out was really excellent and you could tell that the guide was passionate about bees and the conservation work they do. They offer it in English and Spanish and it includes honey tasting, seeing a variety of local bee species, wild bees and bee hives, and lots of interesting information about them.
Anton — Google review
Wow such a wonderful educational experience!! The area is stunning, our guide was so informative, he answered all our questions and shared so much history and insight about bees and the Mayan stingless Bee. It was so cool to walk down into the cave area to see the beehives hanging from the top of the cave. We got to try traditional Mayan food made by a Mayan Elder and continued our walk to see different bee species and see them up close being busy bee's in their hive boxes. Afterwards we got to taste the different honey products they have, and homemade lotions made from the honey. Highly recommend, I learned sooo much and would definitely go again!! They have a nice little store to buy the products if you'd like and other souvenirs. They have camping available they provide tents, and or rent traditional cabins, they have a nice swim area, everything is so thought out nicely. The bees are well taken care of, they are free to be in their habitat without disturbance and you learn so much!!

Yakunaj Cocina Mexicana is a charming restaurant in Valladolid, offering traditional Mexican cuisine and desserts on its terrace. While it may not be as upscale as some other dining options in the area, it still provides a special experience at a reasonable price. The restaurant serves classic breakfast dishes and becomes bustling during dinner, attracting couples for romantic evenings. Dishes are beautifully presented and prepared with care, with attentive waitstaff providing detailed introductions to the menu items.
Excellent service and food!! We had chilaquiles, sopes, huevos Motuleños, and huevos de olla. Everything super tasty! We also had fruit and juices! Service was fast and our server Enrique was very nice and helpful, brought us additional bread and butter and recommended several dishes. The food plating and presentation was amazing! Totally recommended, and would definitely be coming back!

We went for breakfast and sat in the back garden. They had a patio upstairs but it was very hot so we stayed in the shade. Their garden was beautiful and there were pink petals everywhere from the trees which made it look so lovely. Their breakfast was very good - I had eggs and my partner had the avocado toast (both yummy!) We were given complimentary bread at the beginning and the butter we were given was so delicious. It wasn’t busy at all for breakfast so if you’re looking for a quiet meal with a pretty view definitely go here!

Great restaurant. Tasty menus and professional server. You can enjoy tasty Yucatan & Mexican cuisine here. I enjoyed barbacoa taco with habanero so much.. one of the best i've tried in this Mexico trip. Server was professional, food came out in good time, we enjoyed the dinnertime. Definitely will come back when i'm in Valladolid again

This place was great! I had the nachos de la casa and the fish tacos. Both were delicious. The cornbread with coconut ice cream desert was excellent, too!

Solid spot – good variety of food and a nice restaurant overall. But somehow it’s missing that special charm – both in the atmosphere and in the food. Everything was tasty, no doubt, but there are other places that offer a more memorable experience for less money. That said, this is definitely complaining on a high level – it’s still a good place.

Absolutely the best dinner experience I've had on my 8 day trip in the Yucatan area. We ordered many things from the menu and honestly though we went way over board but every single thing was absolutely delicious so we finished it all. The service was immaculate. Every employee did a great job of catering to us to allow for an extremely pleasant experience. Plates were cleared quickly, drinks were replenished continuously and any other needs were fulfilled. It wasn't even the most expensive dinner we had on our trip yet it was the absolute best compared to other more expensive and fine dining.

Restaurant
El Mesón del Marqués, situated in the heart of Valladolid, is a renowned restaurant within a historic hotel. The establishment offers an elegant dining experience with a focus on regional and international cuisine using fresh, high-quality ingredients. One of their signature dishes is the pavo en escabeche oriental, featuring soused turkey marinated in Asian spices and grilled over wood or charcoal fire.
We really enjoyed our lunch here! The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing—such a great spot to take a break while exploring Valladolid. The food was fantastic—everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well presented. I had the chicken fajitas and they were delicious. Everyone in our group loved their meals. The chips and salsa were a great start too. Service was friendly and efficient, and the location right off the square makes it super convenient. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area. We’ll definitely be back next time!

Amazing historic hotel and restaurant. Have been visiting for several years now and it is always good and consistent. We usually come for the day and visit cenotes around the area. Definitely plan to stay at the hotel soon.

Found this place on Google maps on the way to Chichen Itza as there was not very many restaurants on the way. I'm really glad we stopped here as the food was phenomenal and the environment was amazing. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the courtyard seating and food was amazing. The service food and drinks exceeded our expectations and they have plenty of items to choose from. We opted to get something more traditional to the area and it was the correct choice. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful with a water fountain, trees and plants. It's a truly authentic and extraordinary experience. It's an excellent place to stop and you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing food. Beef was perfectly cooked. Presentation was out of a magazine. Atmosphere is gorgeous and almost like its own little world. Very attentive service.

Wonderful experience in Valladolid. We stopped in the afternoon and reserved for the evening. The hostesses warmly remembered us and made sure we got the courtyard table we requested. The menu has so many choices. The house white wine was excellent, served with an interesting aerator, and cocktails great. We had shrimp prepared tableside by our waiter Ignacio who did a great job. Highly recommend as it’s in a beautiful historic building. Flavorful. Great service. They made sure to ask if we had any food intolerances or allergies which was appreciated. Pricy for Mexico, but coming from the U.S. it was very reasonably priced and worth it.

Beautiful quaint picturesque hotel in the center of town. Accessible to everything. Restaurant is set up in the courtyard food is regional and delicious! The pool is surrounded by a beautiful garden with local plants.

A beautiful restaurant with a lovely inner courtyard that creates a charming atmosphere. The menu offers a rich selection of traditional Mexican dishes. Service was excellent and well-organized—I appreciated that the waiters wore hairnets, showing attention to hygiene. The prices are high, but the service quality is great, and the food is served quickly. Recommended!

Pizza restaurant
Nestled just a few blocks from the bustling main plaza in Valladolid, San Giovanni Trattoria is a charming family-owned eatery that specializes in delightful homemade pasta. The heart and soul of this restaurant is its chef, who happens to be the mother of the family; her passion for cooking shines through every dish. Guests can indulge in exquisite ravioli creations while enjoying the serene ambiance of the back courtyard, adorned with lush greenery and enchanting fairy lights—an oasis away from city life.
Super cute spot. We went here around 5PM on a Thursday and it was very quiet and nice. We enjoyed a carbonara and margarita pizza. The servers were very attentive and sweet! The front of the restaurant serves Italian food and the back serves Japanese food!

Had a good experience here with friends. The food was good but can’t say great. Pizza Caprese - 5/5 Ravioli (Ricotta and Spinach) - 4/5 Lasagna (Vegetarian) - 4/5 Staff is very friendly and polite.
Rajat K — Google review
In April we spent a week in Valladolid, and one night we decided to try this Italian restaurant. It’s located in Valladolid downtown, and is actually two restaurants: Italian and Japanese, divided by a really nice courtyards (both belonging to the same owner). It is basically completely outdoor (like most places here), and although they always have fans running around you, the heat can be a little bit too much. However, that didn’t’ ruin the very relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant. After we tried a salad and a pasta, we decided to come back again to try out other dishes as well. In fact, we came here for dinner all of our last 3 days in the city, and tried the pizza too. We are Italians living abroad, so we understand the need of ethnic restaurants to adjust their original cuisine to the local taste. Because of that, we also appreciate a lot when we find authentic restaurants – above all in the least expected places! I’m not saying this is 100% authentic, but it’s very close to it – and the amazing fact is that they use local ingredients, and none of the kitchen staff ever traveled outside of Yucatan or Mexico. The cocktails and wines (as well as cordials) are very decent; the espresso instead is pretty bad. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. Most of the times we were served by Alondra, a really sweet yet professional person who even offered us a dessert (my favorite) as goodbye. If you come from North America or Europe, you’ll find this restaurant cheap. We are hoping to return to Valladolid in the near future, and we will surely come back to this restaurant.

Our food was delicious! We got the meat and cheese plate, alfredo with homemade pasta, and pepperoni pizza. Everything was amazing! Our waiter, Jesus was the best! He even brought us out dessert which was so kind of him! We would love to come back! Definitely check it out!

We had an amazing dinner at this Italian restaurant and were truly impressed. As Europeans, we can say the food tasted very authentic. I had pasta, while my girlfriend had pizza, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The flavors, the quality of the ingredients, and the presentation really made us feel like we were dining in Italy. The service was also excellent. Our waiter Rodrigo was very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. We left completely satisfied and will definitely come back on our next visit. Highly recommended!

La Palapita de los Tamales is a charming, family-owned restaurant near Candelaria church in Valladolid. The cozy dining room with big wooden tables leads to an outdoor terrace, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The menu features authentic Yucatan recipes, including the flavorful chachacua tamales and refreshing chaya-infused lemonade. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a mix of lighting and nature, offering both indoor and garden seating options.
The food was really good and Rufino, the waiter, was really friendly. Carlos, who made our drinks, mixes very tasty cocktails that he invents themselves. I have never ordered so many cocktails in a row! Would definitely come back here!

A Magical Place in Valladolid Upon arrival the reception was very attentive, the very smiling waitress gave us some recommendations of what to drink and eat, we chose some enchiladas and salbutes that were very delicious, the surprise of some courtesy tequilas and the way she gave us the explanation of how it is done was even more amazing, without a doubt we would return, a very beautiful place but the waitress was exceptional. Thank you very much for this beautiful experience.

Instantly upon entering the well curated atmosphere starts your experience off in style! Style firmly rooted in traditional aesthetics. The warm and friendly staff received us graciously and let us sit wherever we liked and we chose a spot in the beautiful back courtyard. Our server, KARINA, was so sweet and knowledgeable she not only did her job beautifully, but she felt like an instant friend! The food was a mind blowing balance of flavor and texture! We ordered more than we could possibly eat so we could try a variety of these superbly crafted traditional dishes! Portion size was excellent! And pricing is a very good value!

We had dinner here twice and the food was truly delicious. The menu includes typical Yucatecan dishes and it’s also suitable for those with intolerances (in my case gluten and lactose), as you can choose dishes made with corn flour and without dairy. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food and the service.

While the food is original and well-prepared, some visitors have experienced slow service. Despite this, the staff is friendly and attentive. This place is awesome because, reason #1 the staff are very nice when it for example when it rained they gave me and my family warm towels, and they even asked me how cooked I wanted my meat. Also, the best thing of all, THERE WERE SO MANY CUTE CATS! We even fed them a little bit of steak, they were so cute! Food is really good and not expensive given the quality. I black tuna, sopa de lima, pork tacos and guacamole with Longaniza Valladolid, everything amazing, we were super full. Very good service, there’s a button for immediate attention. I think the green says win the tacos can have more flavor. You can go up in the tower :D

Located inside the Zentik, the Zentik alone is worth the visit. The food here was delicious, the Naino eggs are a must and the Golden Milk Latte was the best I’ve ever had! It was so sweet and delicious. The food is all the same price, and very happy with the service! Also don’t forget to try the Zentik coffee, they are known for their tequila coffee here!

Decent food, atmosphere OK. Experiencing a thunderstorm made our dinner a bit troublesome (restaurant is open on front and had a power outages). However, the staff was super friendly granting us a parking spot right in front of entrance, a tequila each on the house and walking us to the car with umbrellas. Muchas gracias.

One of the best restaurants I found in Mexico. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here over the course of 2-3 days. We loved all of the things we ordered. They did offer us 2 rounds of Tequila on the house :D

Nice place, prices are high. We tried steak and a vegan burger. Steak was not so good, lots of fat and veins. Vegan burger was ok. And a small non alcoholic beer. For that we paid like 500 pesos. The staff is good. They have a large hot water channel system (like a pool) underground. Ot looks interesting, but also the price is enormously high. They charge 450 pesos per person and it is for the whole day (why do you need that!?). There is also a tower that you could climb to see the suburbs.

I've been lucky enough to visit Naino twice in the last few years for lunch, but I haven't yet stayed at the hotel (will have to do that next time!). The food and service in the restaurant is excellent, and it's a wonderful option in Valladolid. Le Kaat is a charming vegetarian and vegan restaurant located in Valladolid, Mexico. This cozy spot offers an extensive menu that caters to those with dietary restrictions or preferences, featuring everything from coffee to burgers and avocado pies. One of the highlights is the 'taco trilogy,' which puts a vegan spin on beloved Mexican classics like Cochinita Pibil, Pastor, and Barbacoa tacos.
This might be the best vegetarian restaurant in Valladolid! For being attached to a hotel, it is very reasonably priced. I came here 6 times during my stay in Valladolid and every time I left satisfied but also wanting to come back and try more. Everything was delicious but I think my favorite has to be the tacos, I could not believe it wasn’t real meat! They have a very sweet guitarist who seems to know unlimited songs coming in the evenings toward the end of the week, who is not pushy about tips like they are in some places. My only regret is not coming back more to try everything on the menu!

Cool restaurant with extensive vegan menu! We loved all the meals we ordered: rainbow bowl, falafel bowl, avocado/ walnut smoothie, tacos (super delicious). The service was great: polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

Atmosphere and service were fantastic! A live musician accompanied our night. Sadly, the food didn’t really match our taste. We had high expectations because everything on the menu sounded fantastic but ultimately, we didn’t enjoy our dishes as much as we’d hoped (smoked mushrooms + cauliflower). The vegan tacos and avocado cake were great though!

Beautiful, tasty, healthy food. We were here Christmas Eve and just had to go back when we were in town again in September. We were happily surprised to see the same talented guitarist playing as on our first visit. Food is tasty and elegantly presented. Drinks were amazing. Our server did a great job. Lovely garden courtyard setting. Will go back gladly next time we’re in town!

We stumbled across this little gem of a place on our first night in Valladolid and what a find it was. Food was amazing (guacamole to start and the curry). Service was brilliant and the workers were so friendly and smiley! When we were here, there was the most amazing guitar player. We sat sipping wine listening to him for over an hour and it was one of our favourite nights on our México travels! We bumped into the owner before we left, and he was incredibly kind and warm. Gave us recommendations for Valladolid. We loved it here ❤️

Was such a nice place that we came here for both dinner and breakfast! Many vegan options for both dinner and breakfast, all well thought through. Very nice atmosphere and there were always people there when we passed by (which I see as a good grade). Super friendly and engaging staff. We were also lucky to go there for dinner when they had a musician performing both Mexican and international hits with his guitar, which was a romantic bonus. Lovely little outdoor seating area, but as the restaurant is open towards the road with no clear door to close it was no problem to sit “inside” either. Very good food too, also appreciated by my non-vegan or vegetarian husband (even though it could - as most places we went to in Mexico - need some more seasoning to really bring out the flavours of their fantastic produces). Also appreciated that they had vegan desserts, as that is not that easy to get in many other restaurants. Would definitely return!

This was recommended to us and I think it's great for folks with kids or are just curious to how the mayan civilization strongly influenced the worldwide chocolate industry. Many rooms (10-15) with figures and you push a button of your chosen language to hear a couple of minute history lesson. The sample room was closed when we went:( Doing 4 stars instead of 5 since the after tour store was excessively priced. We bought a few unique chocolate bars for $5 each.

Great interactive experience of the history of cacao. The dioramas combined with the voice-over in many different languages gave us a good understanding of the cultural history of cacao and chocolate. The tasting at the end was also a welcome surprise.

Whilst the exhibition is interesting, the museum is not worth the 180mxn to visit. You go through a series of rooms which play a voice over (English is catered for) to explain what is being depicted. It explained the history of the cacao beans, who in history used to drink it, and how it became industrialised. We were able to have a taste test of chocolate at the end of the exhibition.

Accompanying the main dish are avocado, tortillas, onions, black bean soup, and even an egg-filled tortilla which adds to the enjoyable experience.
Fantastic meal at La Tia! We had the mixed poc-chuc and the nachos especial (pork and longaniza). Yes, a lot of food but we had the leftovers later and enjoyed them! Very welcoming, non-touristy restaurant. A real gem in Valladolid!

Super flavoursome poc chuc, we had the dish for 2 that had pork, chicken and a spiced sausage on it and everything was really tasty and juicy but still with the charred flavour of the grill. It comes with avocado, tortillas, onions, black bean soup and we also tried one of the tortillas filled with an egg which was nice! Their flan for dessert has a nice caramel taste to it. Also their homemade chaya (spinach like) drink with lime is my favourite!

We were brought here by the touring service we hired as a recommendation. Restaurant is very hidden, you probably couldn't find it driving through the roads as it was in an alley. There are not many tables and we got there a a pretty good time so there was not many people. I have to say this place serves some Amazing food. We ordered the Poc-Chuc de Puerto (pork). It was thinly sliced pork with radishes, onion and cilantro accompanied by FRESHLY MADE corn tortillas. Omg..the combination of the great tasting meat with fresh tortillas was PERFECT! This was one of the best meals we had on our vacation. We wanted to go back but it was too far from where we were staying, about 2 hrs out ☹. They also had a plate with Longaniza which is a type of chorizo and that also came with fresh tortillas. There were 5 in our party and we left very happy and super full. The prices are great especially for the food you get and the service was also great. Out waiters were there to offer up refills or different drink selections. The owner even brought us out samples of other foods they offer just so we can experience the other menu items. If you like egg, try the Emcamisados. It's basically an egg enrobed into a corn tortilla baked fresh. Their Horchatas was also the best we drank and they also have other flavors to which I forgot but we enjoyed those too. The owner let us go into the kitchen where the ladies were making the corn tortillas by hand to watch. He even let me try and make one but of course mine looked like a football but it was a great experience. While we were back there we noticed that not only do they hand make the tortillas, the cook them over a wood fire. It smelt so good and the ladies put alot of pride and work into their food. I couldn't recommend this place more. When we go back, we will make it a point to go back and this time take extra. I hope you give it a try too. You will not be disappointed! If you read my review, please hit the like button. Thank you and enjoy!!

Honestly one of the best places I've eaten. It is very authentic, local, freshly made food. The prices were very low, they could easily charge more if they wanted to. The portion is quite big. It's part of the Walmart group and offers everything you could want, although some shoppers found the fresh bread selection to be uninspired. The store has great prices but can get crowded, leading to long wait times at the checkout. Despite this, it's a convenient spot for finding all your essentials.
This is sort of like a mini Walmart. I found some Ouikos Greek yogurt (Yoplai is too plentiful in Mexico -lots of sugar) Also Green beans and good quality Lettuce. Carts and baskets were plentiful. They have self-checkout now! Something new, wasn't there last year.Six self-checkout stations and 3 women to help. Great for the Spanish-challenged - no need to ask twice when a cashier tells you the price. It's there on the screen. Everything but the produce had a bar-code. You have to be realistic with your expectations - this is Mexico. Go early before it gets to hot.

Very well stocked and reasonably priced grocery store. Best prices around, but it will take you at least 30 minutes to check out and pay. There are not enough tills or staff.
Lena S — Google review
So crowded with people, workers, and products that it's impossible to get around. Plan on spending two hours here; at least 30 minutes of it will be spent waiting in line to check out- maybe more. The arrangement of the products in the aisles and the workers trying to stock the shelves is pretty chaotic.

It’s a pretty good supermarket. The best in Valladolid. Everything you could want. Think it’s part of the Walmart group. No baskets as the door, only trolleys, Fresh bread was a little uninspired unlike in larger stores. Also no vanilla yoghurt. We found most of what we wanted
Henry H — Google review
They have everything you need: not only a large range of groceries, but also electronics, car and office supplies, and a small pharmacy. They also have an ATM (a little hidden) at the end of the aisle behind the checkout boxes.

Supermarket
Súper Chedraui is a well-stocked supermarket chain in the Valladolid area, offering a wide variety of groceries and baby supplies. The store provides an overwhelming selection of wipes and diapers, with size options listed in kilograms. While it may not offer an extensive range of fruits and vegetables, the store is clean, well-lit, and easy to navigate. Customers appreciate its better selection and quality compared to other supermarkets in the area.
It's a smaller version of the Chedraui Locations but has a plentiful selection and a nice variety of products. Very clean store and bright. The location is perfect for the people who are living in that area.
Kyle — Google review
No customer service whatsoever. I mean for a small town like this, you would expect an average customer service. Well, these people are below average. Even for locals like me. It is so frustrating they never want to use the conveyor belt at their checkout counters. Customers have to move their merchandise manually. I don't know what the deal is. Maybe they want to cut on the electric bill or something. Who knows. Speak with a manager? Good luck with that. I've tried multiple times. Hopefully the new grocery store that is about to open by the end of this year knows how to treat customers right.

TIP: Buy fruit and vegetables elsewhere. Can't complain much. It's the only supermarket in Valladolid and it's pretty well stocked. Just don't expect miracles and you will spare yourself disappointments.
Sebastian Z — Google review
Clean and spacious. The selection is pretty much endless. A lot of fresh fruits and bakeries.
Wiggo B — Google review
Not as good as the ones in Isla Mujeres and Tulum. The entire section with international and more healthy/natural foods is missing here. Also, as far as berries, they only have strawberries and no other kind of berries. The selection of fruits and veggies overall is not excellent. I also do not find some of the employees to be friendly and/or helpful. They also do not have anything such as almonds, hazelnuts, or any other healthier nuts. As well, I asked them about quinoa grain and they had no idea what I was talking about. Considering the fact that there are many tourists staying in the city, they really should improve their selection of foods as well as their customer service.

Cacao is a delightful destination that offers visitors an immersive experience into the world of Mayan culture and chocolate. While it may not be a traditional chocolate factory, it certainly provides a unique chocolate journey. The charming owner is passionate about sharing insights into Mayan traditions and the rich history of chocolate in Mexico, making for engaging conversations during your visit.
Neat little shop that explains the history of chocolate in Mexico. The guide had extensive knowledge on everything chocolate. There are a variety of chocolates to taste and, if you would like, purchase.

More of a place to hock their merchandise instead of a proper museum that trip advisor will call it, but they do have exciting chocolate flavors to try like sesame seed, anise, and pure dark chocolate.
Erik Q — Google review
This place no longer has any of the good things of previous reviews. It is now a tiny dark museum of two rooms, with no more than 5 minutes worth of materiel. There is no Cafe and it is only possible to sample and buy chocolate nibs or diabetic chocolate. The staff who work there do not tell you anything about what they sell. Not worth visiting anymore unfortunately!

The Mercado gastronómico y de artesanías de Valladolid is a small market located across the street from the central plaza, offering a variety of local crafts and delicious typical dishes at good prices. It provides an opportunity to explore the traditional attire of Yucatan and sample authentic Yucatecan food. The food establishments around the market offer diverse options for a quick and affordable lunch.
Lots of different places to grab a quick lunch at very reasonable prices

Great food court if you're keen to try all sorts of Mayan food without having to sit down at a restaurant. Place is spacious and feels clean. We had chichinita pibil (marinated pork with rice - super tender, 145 pesos), sopa de lima (lime soup with chicken - comforting, 110 pesos), tacos and tostadas from various stalls and the Mayan dishes in particular hit the spot. The tacos/toastadas however were mediocre. Only gripe is the food is slightly pricey for what should be a cheap and cheerful setting. Toilets are 5 pesos per person.

(Translated by Google) The main gastronomic market of the city of Valladolid is located in the west block to the north (on 40th Street that takes you to Tizimin). It has an unbeatable location which makes it a highly visited site by tourists who come to this city on their way. Inside, a large, illuminated and ventilated space covered by a metal roof made of metal sheets houses commercial businesses selling food and jewelry souvenirs, fine metalwork, clothing, coffee, etc. Food businesses vary in cost and quality, with the one in the back (unfortunately next to the bathrooms) having given the best results. The only real drawback is the smell of the drainage which makes the experience very unpleasant at times (especially if you plan to eat there). The Valladolid sausage is especially a dish to experiment with. Advisable. Recomendable.

Users have reported smooth transactions with no hidden surcharges or problems with cash withdrawals.

Zazil Tunich - Cenote Museo offers a 2.5-hour guided tour of a cave located 65 feet underground, showcasing a stunning cenote and around 80 stalactites and stalagmites, including the Yucatan's largest stalactite. Families can enjoy this well-lit cave with shallow waters, reaching about 6 feet at most.
We booked for a tour with a dinner included and it was an amazing experience! One of the best cenotes I have ever been. Really stunning! I also love the Mayan ritual before going to the cenote as it was a very unique experience. I highly recommend it. Totally worth the visit. 🙌🏼

You need to book tickets ahead of time. We booked it a day before and had no issues booking a slot at 3pm. The website wasn't loading so we contacted them via WhatsApp and were able to book. Parking is free. Free locker with a key. It was a little pricey so it was not crowded at all. We had the entire place to ourselves for almost 30 mins before another couple joined. The depth of the water is around 2 - 3m so life jacket is not mandatory but you can rent it for a fee (around $50 pesos?)

The place offers privacy and a truly magical atmosphere, simply a wonder of nature and an unmissable experience. Our tour was guided by Zule, who passionately explained the history and meaning of the cenote, bringing every detail to life. We then took part in an authentic Mayan ritual, a unique moment of peace and cultural connection. The evening ended with a delicious dinner hosted by Armando, who carefully explained each dish, making the night even more special. Without a doubt, Zazil Tunich is a must when visiting Yucatán, a perfect blend of nature, tradition, and gastronomy. 🌿✨

Absolutely extraordinary! If you are looking for real experience - that`s the one you are looking for ! You enter the cave one way, and leave the other completely refreshed, peaceful and grateful! 100% RECOMMENDED ❤️

Our BEST Cenote Experience so far - a must visit if you are in the near! You have to book in advance on the homepage, which is 400$ for only the cave or 700$ which then includes a dinning. We took the option with the dinning, and the food was delicious. We were the only ones in the cave and had a very friendly english speaking guide (do not remember the name of the lady). As the owner‘s who discovered the cave do not wish to attract mass tourism, there are no tour‘s from hotels - that really ads to the experience. At the end you also participate in a Mayan Ritual - but see for yourself.

Amazing experience! We reserved for a special occasion and it was completely worth it. Edna was a great tourist guide! Thank you very much Edna! Place has a lot of things to do and see if you love nature, DO NOT TOUCH the stone formations, respect the nature. Photo shoots at the place are amazing and food is awesome too. The cenote water is shallow, so don't expect diving, but it's a completely different experience filled with shadows, lights, sounds and energy. Be careful and respect the surroundings and people, they are what make this place special. Thank you guys for an amazing experience!!!! If you're going to make a bad review about prices or "how is this a very shallow cenote", you better read or do a little research first! Almost all bad reviews of this place are just from people who were either too lazy to read or understand the concept of this place!

A stunning and well-maintained cenote experience! Cenote Chichikan is absolutely beautiful — crystal-clear blue water surrounded by lush jungle and dramatic limestone walls. The facilities are clean, organized, and tourist-friendly, with lockers, showers, and a restaurant serving delicious local food. The cenote itself is spacious and great for both swimming and photography — especially with the light beams shining through the opening above. It’s less crowded than some of the more famous cenotes nearby, which makes the experience peaceful and relaxing. Definitely worth a stop if you’re visiting Valladolid or Chichén Itzá!
Nafiz I — Google review
Cenote Chichikan is an open-cenote (not fully roofed) with limestone walls. Height: about 24 meters tall; Depth: approx 8 meters. Limestone walls that rise up 24 m give dramatic light/shadow contrasts depending on the hour. It has a central island in the water and even a small waterfall, giving the place a sculptural, dramatic energy. The central island in the water adds a focal point — perfect for photos at sunrise or midday when light hits just right. Stepping into Chichikan feels like entering a living painting — limestone walls, sunlight dancing through the open cenote, and a central island that invites you to linger. Even though relatively small, the sound of falling water adds ambience — more than just visual, a soundscape. Paths, natural foliage, hammocks, rustic structures visually tied to the jungle / Mayan aesthetic. If you've never been to a cenotes before, it's definitely worth checking out. The cenote is described as crystalline (very clear) — you can see the bottom from above. The water wasn't very deep but definitely wasn't clean. It was a bit chilly, but it was interesting. 💫 Legends, Lore & Cultural Meaning There is rich cultural framing. The “energy that feeds the soul” is part of how Chichikan is described — this kind of phrasing often echoes beliefs that water bodies like cenotes are alive or spiritually potent. Cenotes in Mayan cosmology are often seen as portals to the underworld (Xibalbá), sacred water sources, meeting points between the human and spirit realms. Chichikan embraces that symbolism in its guided experience. Guests have the option for a Mayan purification in the cenote during some special offerings / night events — this ties into long-standing traditions of water rituals among the Maya. The park includes “Mayan garden”, traditional food, language, clothing, and ballgames, all of which link the present cenote experience to Mayan heritage. It's part of an eco-tourist park (“Chichikan”) near Valladolid, Yucatán. The park includes “Mayan garden”, traditional food, language, clothing, and ballgames, all of which link the present cenote experience to Mayan heritage. The tour guide from Amigo tours was telling us all about how hard-working women prepare local meals, how local shamans are giving their blessings, how there are pressure stones, etc. In reality, the locals hired to entertain tourists. I didn't see any authentic stuff there, like history lessons, particular animals, or plants. Nothing out of the ordinary. The prices in the shop are excessive. I have a great deal of respect for the culture, but I believe that these tourist scams are unethical. A young man is playing roles of sacred people while wearing suits that local tourists guide from Amigo tours wear. The food was definitely not special, mainly also not authentic. There's a lot of marketing that isn't backed up by facts. I'd even go as far as to say that the food at hotels is way better. Please be advised that the prices for beverages are quite unreasonable. The total cost of the two cocktails was approximately 12 euros. These are not cocktails, not even close to cocktails. The waiter was not even close to being ready to serve anyone. The tour guide was pleased to announce that the long-awaited tequila tasting event is finally taking place. While I did not use the opportunity to sample the tequila, the narrative provided a valuable insight into the subject. We were obliged to wait nearly an hour before being able to go back to the bus.

This Cenote was on our tour package that we purchased thru an app (Viator read all the details) online. It was the most reasonable and it also included Chichen Itza with a very nice air conditioned bus that picked us up at our hotel, lunch, and tequila tasting. The Cenote Chichikan was absolutely a must see. This cenote is beautiful. Very clean and I just can't explain how wonderful it is. BOOK THIS FOR SURE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. These pictures don't do it justice.

This Cenote was part of my day tour from Cancun. We were given two hours to explore the place which was more than enough. The entry fee was part of the tour but for lockers and swimsuits, it was 100 Pesos extra each. I would totally recommend visiting any one of the Cenotes during your visit to Cancun. It is quite fun to take a swim and do cliff jumping in these cenotes. We also had our lunch buffet at this place which had good number of Vegetarian options. The taste was mostly average though. One can also buy souvenirs here. We had a Tequilla tasting session as well which was part of the tour.

SOLO FEMALE TRAVELERS BEWARE!! I booked a tour through Viator from a tour group called “Amigos Tours”. The tour was going well until we got to this cenote. First off, this place is very lackluster and a tourist trap. The shops they guide you through are filled with mass produced, overpriced goods that cost 5x of what you will find in even the major cities around the Yucatan peninsula, which are already overpriced themselves. SECONDLY, the actual cenote itself is very underwhelming. The water is shallow and dirty and they do not even allow you to go down to the area without paying extra for a life vest, even if you are not getting in the water. Money grab. LASTLY, and the main reason i am giving this place a 1 star, is the weird and concerning experience i had during the buffet lunch here. (Food was awful btw!) The buffet is free except drinks. In the middle of my meal, my drink was taken from my table before i was finished with it when i got up to get a second plate. At first i thought it was just an accident and brushed it off. But after i got up again to check out the food, i saw the drink was placed back on my table again. The time the drink was missing was about 5-10 minutes. I asked the waiter why my drink was taken and then brought back. And asked for a new fresh one as that is a safety and health concern. He proceeded to refuse to bring me another drink and gaslighted me by saying that my drink had never left my table. I know for certain that wasn't true. I have eyes. There's no way i would miss a bright orange drink. It was such a strange thing to do and made me think he did something bad to my drink. I refused to pay for the drink since he was being weird/rude. The waiter said he would tell our tour guide that i was refusing to pay and the tour guide stated he would pay for the drink on my behalf since i wasn't going to. The tour guides demeanor was very nonchalant and dismissive about the situation as if he wasn't surprised this was happening and didn't care about my concerns. He also proceeded to join in on the gaslighting stating my drink never left my table. Which makes me think he might be in on it. Just a very strange experience overall. I don't think this a safe company to patronize. If you are traveling solo, especially as a woman, i would advise against coming here.

The Cenote was quite nice. I visited as a part of the tour with Amigos tours. I believe it’s possible to buy add ons cheaper on site (e.g. vest for cenote is 100 mxn) than a part of the tour. Lunch was mediocre, nothing special. Not very happy with Mexican way to upsell or get tips; it was difficult to pay extras.

Not much value here. The girl was quick to quote us an entrance fee in united statesmen dollars. But converted to pesos this worked out to 380 pesos for two to enter. The interesting animals, the cats etc. were all hiding in their den's so not much interesting to see. The zoo in Tizimin is much better.

I came to visit the zoo at Christmas and left crying. Some of the larger animals had obvious mental health issues, lonely and depressed. The crocodile pond had barely any water, the pumas where walking around in a circle like their minds had gone insane. The animal attached I believe it could be a coyote was extremely lonely and needed a friend.. was using back and forth behaviour that was extremely upsetting and sad to witness. Walking around the zoo myself and my partner didn’t see anyone within the whole hour that worked for the park. We are from England and the experience has left us traumatised and helpless.

Cenote Chukum, also known as Chukum-Ha, is a popular cenote in Yucatan, named after the chukum trees in the area. It has gained a reputation as one of the best cenotes for adventurous visitors. The cenote is large and maintains its vibrant turquoise color due to a constant flow of water. Visitors praise the friendly staff and clean facilities. To access the underground cenote, visitors descend down stairs and can take a shower before swimming.
Really enjoyed our stop here on the way back from any early trip to chitchen itza to Tulum. We went for the 550 package that included the buffet Lots of parking, very easy check in and payment. Nice lockers and changing rooms. The restaurant was surprisingly good, lots of options and good value. We loved the cenote and the zip line into the water. Good fun. We ended up chilling on hammocks in their gardens and spent about 3 hours in total. Thanks!!

Took an excursion to this place. Highly recommend if it’s on your itinerary. Easy stop back from Chichen Itza. We basically had the place to ourselves. Water was so clear we could see the bottom at 60 feet. Buffet lunch was also very tasty

While the tickets are a tad bit on the expensive side. The experience is worth it. We repelled down and then enjoyed zip lining and dropping freely into the water. There’s also a stage from where you can jump. It’s about 12-15 ft high. You can expect to spend about 1-2 hrs here.

Cenote Chukum was part of our tour and it didn’t disappoint. The cost to get in was a bit steep but overall it was a great experience. Amenities on site included lockers, restrooms, changing area and buffet style food. Food is pretty good but not over the top amazing. Soda or anything else is extra and water or hibiscus tea is free. Recommend for visit a change of clothes, snorkeling mask, camera with wrist band, towels, water shoes. Water is a tad bit chilly but not bad overall. Those more adventurous can jump off platforms, zip line for free or you can pay extra to rappel into the water. You can rent about anything at the front lobby but easy to bring your own stuff. The lobby also has snacks and of course drinks and tequila bar. If you’re not into swimming they do have hammocks around the area. There’s hundreds of these and I’d say this one was pretty good.

We had a great time here. We started by rappelling into the cenote. Then we zip lined several times and enjoyed jumping off of the various platforms. The tallest platform was about 12 to 15 feet. The water was clean and refreshing. The whole facility was very clean. They provided us with a locker and a towel. The buffet style lunch was great. I loved all the different types of salsa the most. Great service!

Here's a review you can use for Cenote Chukum: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing time at Cenote Chukum! It was incredibly family-friendly, making it the perfect spot for our whole group. The cenote itself was absolutely beautiful, and we truly enjoyed every moment spent there. We opted for the gold entrance, which included a delicious buffet that was a delightful bonus to our visit. Overall, it was one of the best cenotes we've been to, and we can't recommend it enough! Can't wait to return.

Great place to visit. Peaceful, not busy when we were there. Food was really good as well

One of the best cenotes around, fair price, big parking lot, easy to get there and has some really nice activities to do. As opposed to some other cenotes, it not only has an outstanding beauty, but also keeps you entertained all day long, I could stay all day there and would've been awesome (I bought the full pass which includes free buffet), but I had other places to explore too... I didn't try the rappel but seemed fun to do once (but you have to pay extra for it).
