The Historic Davenport, Autograph Collection is a refined hotel located in downtown Spokane. Housed in a stately building, this premier four-star hotel offers upscale dining, a spa, a gym, and an indoor pool. The hotel's rich history has attracted famous film stars, writers, and politicians over the years. Guests can enjoy traditional signature soft peanut brittle and luxurious spa services at the highly-rated Davenport Spa & Salon.
We were visiting Spokane and decided to have dinner at The Davenport Hotel with friends. The atmosphere is stunning — you feel like you’re dining inside a historic palace with chandeliers and painted ceilings. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the service was excellent — attentive without being intrusive. It really made us feel welcome as guests of the city. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, I highly recommend coming here for dinner. It’s a beautiful way to experience Spokane’s history and hospitality all in one evening.

Night of stay: September 13th 2025 This was my second time staying at The Historic Davenport, and honestly, the hotel itself is still a beautiful historical marvel, even if it is stuck right in downtown Spokane. My stay was a real mixed bag. Unfortunately, we did run into some of the issues other reviews mention: several of the front desk staff were noticeably grumpy or even rude. But the check-in experience was completely saved by Danielle. Danielle is a phenomenal employee—seriously, she was awesome! She single-handedly handled a chaotic check-in line with incredible cheerfulness and professionalism. She truly represents the high standard of service Mr. Davenport would expect. Whatever she's making, it's not enough, and the other employees could really take a page from her book. The main disappointment, though, was the bed. The famed Davenport mattress felt worn out, and the classic luxury frame and box spring seem to have been replaced by a low, creaking platform. It was a stark contrast to the unparalleled comfort I remember from my 2017 stay. The Davenport is known for these beds—they even sell them!—but based on this trip, I wouldn't consider buying one. It feels like some negative changes might be happening, possibly due to a management or ownership shift. I really hope they preserve the historical integrity and all those small details the Worthys put into it. Losing the unique charm that makes The Davenport special would be a real shame for Spokane.

Beautiful hotel. It was fun seeing all the history and exploring the hotel. But I wouldn't stay here again. It's worth the walk through and maybe a meal, but the hotel is not worth it. It's expensive. It's loud hearing all the spokane traffic and guys with their loud mufflers gunning it all night long. The hotel want's to nickel and dime over everything. Want a mini fridge? that's $15 a night. Want a late check out even if your a member? that's $25 an hour. Wanna park? That's $35 because there was no clear signange on where to part if you didn't want valet. The bed and pillows were atrocious - and get this, there's an advertisement in the room indicating that you too can have your own davenport bed at home and that if you buy one the price of the room goes towards your bed order. I don't know, I was really excited to stay here but feel disappointed and won't be staying again.

Great hotel in Spokane. The staff was always super helpful and attentive, and the hotel was very clean. My room was great. Solid water pressure in the shower, plenty of fresh towels and a comfortable bed. I was on the third floor which was quick and easy to get to from the elevator or stairs. There is plenty of food and drink options. I had coffee and breakfast at the cafe, and I also had dinner and drinks in the Peacock Lounge which was a great experience. It was close to great restaurants and it was easy to find.

We stayed 2 nights for my wife's birthday and the service was top notch. From the front dest to the help with luggage everything was great. The location is excellent downtown. We ate dinner in the Peacock room and the service and staff was top notch Housekeeping could be better as well found pins on the carpet and the room could use a dust.

We stayed at this place for almost a week. It isn't actually a dump but it could be with a few changes. Don't let the glossy photos on the website fool you. It is dirty. When we got there both rooms had at least one unemptied trash can. One room had a hairbrush on the window sill from a prior guest. Neither toilet was clean. One had small specks of fecal matter and the other had traces of blood (menstrual?). Both showers and tubs were dirty and had to be cleaned by us prior to using them. Wall switches had dirty smudges as did areas around door knobs. Most rooms had nicks and deep scratches on the walls from use that were either ignored or half-heartedly repaired. The fresh towels we requested were left on the floor out in the hall. A recent study of shoe soles revealed that every single tested sole had traces of e-coli. That means the carpets likely have e-coli as did our fresh towels. When we requested them on another occassion while we were in the room, they were brought to us in a rolling trash can. It might be that this trash can has only every been used for linen but I don't know that. (I have seen party goers ladle juice from a new trash can but they aren't a respectable hotel.) Downstairs in the fancy dining area are finger smudges and dust clumps everywhere. I wrote all of this to Davidson Hospitality Group a couple of weeks ago but they never responded. I have stayed at hotels that cost far less and are brighter and cleaner.
Mario T — Google review
Sure, the rooms nice….but they have dozens of people waiting for rooms because they understaffed cleaning and the rooms weren’t ready…and it’s almost 5pm. Check in is at 4. We waited over an hour ourselves and had to go back to the desk to ask the status of our room…they never called as promised. The manager made me madder by saying….our miss, doing our best. The manager made no attempt to assure guest satisfaction. There was no offer of any compensation whatsoever. Bell people & valet were excellent, but sadly given what we paid for the room, would not recommend the hotel.
David N — Google review
We got a top floor executive suite for the wife, 2 kids, and myself. The room was perfect for our 3 day stay in Spokane. Parking was fairly expensive, we parked next door at the public lot. It was pretty comparable in the end because I had to pay for parking from 9am-5pm for the day time window and then from 5-9am. There is no 24 hr option. I believe self parking at the hotel was $28 and valet was $35. The room itself was great. There was a main room with an amazing king size bed and master bathroom with a massive hot tub and walk in shower room. There was a mini fridge that fit all 40 lbs of my freshly caught salmon. We did not partake in the free breakfast but for certain members that is an option.

Nestled in the heart of Spokane, The Davenport Lusso, Autograph Collection is a stunning blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Housed in a beautifully preserved 19th-century building, this boutique hotel features elegantly appointed rooms and suites, some complete with cozy fireplaces for that extra touch of warmth. Upon entering, guests are greeted by exquisite oil-on-canvas paintings and hand-carved cherry-wood furnishings that set the tone for an upscale experience.
New favorite hotel in Spokane! Rooms are great - bed is comfy, bathrooms are well appointed and has the Davenport favorite products - L’Occitane. Service was awesome; greeted with a welcome glass of champagne and the lobby lounge-side bar cart was a cool experience. I love the location if you’re staying downtown and this hotel has a touch of mid century modern with a great boutique vibe while still getting Marriott points. 10/10 will stay here again
Colin W — Google review
Great room and friendly staff. However, I was hit with a surprise fee after check out for my points stay, which has made me nervous about booking Marriott redemptions in the future. The daily amenities/resort fee was communicated well but this "points not fully covering the room" fee was not. Better to stay at a more general Marriott brand in the future.
Matthew L — Google review
I'm in Spokane for work somewhat regularly. I've tried a few hotels. I would definitely recommend (and would recommend over the one across the street) - The Louie is a completely new reno, rooms look and feel very fresh and clean offering classic details with modern flourishes. While The Louie has few amenities in house save an ice machine and L' Occitane bath works - everything including valet, room service, pool etc across the street is available to Louie guests. You even get the usual card for a complimentary coffee/pastry at the cafe across the street. 1 criticism the bedding - for me, the pillows are too soft and therefore stifling (I will bring my own next time) and the bed seemed to sag at the edges, so stick towards the center! This will not deter me from returning b/c it's the best boutique vibe I've found in Spokane. Finally, I'd like to give a shout to Malachi who was just a treat to meet and work with - so friendly, rushing to open doors, carry luggage, doing all he could to be an excellent host and ambassador of The Louie. Thanks Louie and Malachi, see y'all soon!
PC M — Google review
I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The property feels unsettling — the oak-lined halls are completely empty, giving it a creepy atmosphere. Even more concerning, the hotel is not adequately staffed for a Marriott. When I arrived at 5:00 p.m., there was no valet and no one at the front desk, which is unacceptable for a brand of this caliber. This is before mentioning Spokane has a homelessness problem. I will be staying at a hotel in Couer d’Alene next time.
Jeremy P — Google review
Beautiful hotel and the most budget-friendly compared to the other Davenport hotels. The place has a vintage and luxurious feel to it. The room was very spacious and they had a meal coupon included during my stay. The designated parking lot is about 2 blocks away but it's free once you tell them that you parked there. It's in downtown Spokane, so everything is just within walking distance!
Lennon G — Google review
The building is old, but the hotel seems to have been updated while keeping its charm. The room i have is small, but it has a king sized bed, desk, and a large bathroom. Is the room size enough to keep me away? Not even close. It's plenty big for what I need. The only quirk is that I had to valet my car with the main Davenport hotel across the street.
Michael L — Google review
We will absolutely stay here every time we come to Spokane specifically due to the service from Malakai (spelling?). They were absolutely fantastic, caring, attentive. The hospitality we received due to Malakai was top-notch. They deserve a huge raise and more. The room was clean, gorgeous, well appointed.
Elizabeth P — Google review
I would give the kind and considerate service that we received from Malaki, the front desk butler 20 stars if I could!

The Davenport Grand, Autograph Collection is a luxurious hotel in downtown Spokane with spacious guest rooms and a rooftop terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and room service is also available. The on-site restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Davenport Grand, Autograph Collection is a great Marriott property located right in the heart of downtown Spokane, Washington. Its central location makes it easy to access everything going on in the area, whether you’re there for business or leisure. The hotel itself has a very modern and open design from the moment you walk in. Check-in was quick and smooth, and there’s a restaurant on the property for added convenience. I didn’t have time to check out the gym during my stay, but based on the rest of the hotel, I’d expect it to be just as nice. The room was more spacious than a typical hotel room, even for a standard option. Instead of the usual two queen beds you see in many hotels, my room had two king beds, which was a nice surprise. Everything was clean, modern, and very comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend staying at this property if you’re visiting Spokane, whether for a short or long stay. The location and overall quality make it a great choice.
Ryan S — Google review
A beautiful hotel in a wonderful area! It was walkable to pretty much everything we needed. The front desk staff were wonderful and kind. Only real issue we had was that the temperature control was lacking -- we like to sleep in the cold and unfortunately the A/C can't keep up, so it made for a bit of an uncomfortable sleep. Otherwise, the space was wonderful and it was definitely our favorite stay of the vacation. Extremely large shower, which was so cool. And the hotel was so quiet! Parking was easy in the parking garage, no issues with that. I would stay here again!
Amanda F — Google review
We had an event downtown and figured getting a room at the grand would be our best option for afterwards. Booooyyyyy was I wrong. I don’t ask for too much when staying in a hotel… but at least give me some CLEAN sheets… you could tell that SOMEONE ELSE had previously BLED on the sheets and they were washed and put back onto a bed. This was a disgusting and unpleasant surprise. I also could not sleep well because there was a light above the bed that would not turn off or stop strobing extremely bright all night long which made for some of the worst sleep of my life. Attached is a still frame of the video that was taken of the light since I can’t upload videos. As you can see, it’s not just a dim light but instead, a very bright light directly above where someone’s head would go to sleep. I could understand these problems if I would have chosen to stay in a low budget hotel room but in a room I paid about $400/1 night? No. This shouldn’t be happening at the grand hotel. There is no reason stained sheets shouldn’t be put directly into the garbage bin. But the icing on the cake was when we brought this to the hotel staff’s attention.. they said “I am really sorry this happened to you. That light is awful and those sheets.. that’s disgusting. But I’m so sorry, the most I can do is offer you $25 off your room…” I’m sorry… $25 credit? For my bed being unusable and stained by another persons BLOOD… for the sleep that was not had because there was a strobe light directly over the bed? When the room was $400!? This is terrible business practice. I work in a business where I recommend hotel rooms across Spokane (visiting or residents) and I can tell you, I will no longer recommend the grand hotel to anyone as I am so disgusted and disappointed in all things there.
Joe D — Google review
Revisit from 4 years ago l at the Davenport Grand Hotel once again fantastic. The location is truly unbeatable, right in the heart of downtown Spokane and within easy walking distance of Riverfront Park and the Convention Center. What really set this hotel apart, though, was the staff. From the moment I checked in, every single person was incredibly friendly, professional. Since this location didn't have a Pool we were available to visit their other downtown location, checked in at the front desk and got the pool key to use the pool for the day. room had an amazing view, overlooking the Spokane River and Riverfront Park. It was such a great way to start and end the day, and I'd highly recommend getting a room on the park-facing side for that reason. The room itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. We will definitely continue to stay at this hotel on our next trip to Spokane.
Jasvit T — Google review
I’ve been staying at the Davenport hotels for work since 2012, and the Grand has always been my favorite. The last couple of years have been especially busy, and I’ve found myself staying there more frequently than usual and 2025 has truly been the best yet, thanks to all of you. Jessica, Jacob, and the entire front desk team always go above and beyond to make me feel welcome. It’s such a great feeling to walk in, be remembered, and even have my coffee addiction kindly acknowledged! I also want to give special thanks to Jacob and the security team for helping me locate a missing package, and to Jacob again for going out of his way to carry my bags and assist me to my car. Thank you, Amanda, Nathan, Luke, and everyone else whose names I may have missed. You all make each stay feel like home. I’m looking forward to seeing you again next week. You’re all amazing! Warmly, Ms. Guzman - The Coffee Lady

I love that all beds in all rooms are king-sized, that the remote-controlled backout curtains really darken the room, and the spacious shower with nice, hot water. Also, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. However, the rooms did not have microwaves and the very small refrigerator was located on the floor in the closet—at first, we thought it was a safe. Also, when my brother-in-law dropped my sister and my granddaughter off, it cost him $38 for 17 minutes of parking.
Janet M — Google review
I would give this a five star. But the fact that they leave powdered corn syrup for your coffee which is what you would find in a two star hotel. They could also improve their housekeeping.I was there for 4 days and requested housekeeping, finally, someone showed up folded a few towels and left. The location is great. The rooms are spacious.
Cary S — Google review
Stayed here for a work conference. Between the staff and the amenities offered, it was a great location. The rooms were clean, the coffee and service was great, and the indoor gym was actually amazing! There's no pool unfortunately but the outdoor patio on the 2nd floor is spacious and perfect in the evenings. You'll have good views of the city from your room and right across from the entrance is a huge radio flyer wagon. I'd definitely book this hotel for personal visits but it's got the space for everything 'business'.

The Ruby River Hotel is a laid-back accommodation option with rooms and suites that offer views of the river. Situated just 3 miles from the Fair and Expo Center, it provides convenient access to downtown Spokane and Interstate -90. The hotel features outdoor pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, basketball and volleyball courts, as well as an on-site restaurant and bar with a spacious outdoor patio overlooking the river.
10/10 loved this hotel. Absolutely beautiful location, super clean, the beds were SO comfortable. We’re at the end of a 5 day roadtrip and this was the best sleep we’ve gotten the entire trip. Loved the dog park, playground, and beautiful, large pool and hot tub!! Restaurant had great food too. Drink vouchers got us some tasty lattes in the morning for the road. 😊

The staff was great, very attentive. Communication leading up to our visit was great. I was able to answer a text with my special request, which was provided. They held our bags till check in time and were very hospitable. The attached restaurant has great food with a good happy hour and live music. Our only issue was with the beds. The two that we slept on were terrible and in need of replacement due to the deep body indentations. They did upgrade us, which made it bearable, but both beds were very uncomfortable. Hopefully, they will be replacing the mattresses soon. Overall, the hotel was very clean and the staff is top notch. They have a very nice pool and activities. We loved the location with our ability to walk along the Spokane River to restaurants, shopping, the park and falls.

This hotel is great! I’ve stayed here multiple times before and remembered why I love it so much! The price is affordable for its convenient location, the front desk staff were so friendly, my room was clean and the room service staff were also very kind as well. I got a complimentary drink coupon and used it in the morning and got a super yummy espresso drink and was also then reminded of the amazing view of the river! This is definitely going to be my go to place to stay from here on out. Thank you!!
Lauren D — Google review
At check-in, the Ruby River Hotel representative offered an upgrade to "river view" room for $30. Feeling flush, I accepted. The room faces the pool. There is a tiny bit of river view through the trees. I didn't have time to dispute the room assignment so accepted as-is. Until I saw that the rooms on the other side of the hallway really had beautiful river views. The real shame of it is that EVERYTHING else about the property is fantastic! The rooms are clean and nicely furnished. The beds are comfortable. The housekeeping staff are super friendly and accommodating. The air conditioner is even relatively quiet. I highly recommend this property as long as you have time to reject the assigned room if it doesn't meet your expectations.
Jim S — Google review
The location along the river is fantastic with perfect access for walking, jogging, bicycling, and access to downtown Spokane and the riverfront park. I only had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, but my breakfast dining experience was exceptional. The rooms are nice and I really enjoyed the artwork in and out of the rooms. The outdoor hot tub was open during my November stay and I enjoyed the amenity.
Ryan L — Google review
This is a hard one to determine how many stars to leave. The staff is all very friendly, location is great with a lot of amenities (but we were too busy hanging with family to enjoy). A glitch in the experience happened when our bathroom sink wasn’t draining. Within minutes, maintenance was there to fix it. We left for the day as they were disassembling the trap and requesting a longer snake. When we returned at 12:30 in the morning, I discovered the sink was still clogged and it was leaking out of the bottom onto the floor. We were exhausted so I put a garbage can under the sink to prevent flooding and slipping on a wet floor in the night. Management did remove the amenity fee from our bill but in hindsight, I wish we would have requested a different room. Staying in a hotel is a special event for us so to have this stress the last night is disappointing and I don’t feel like the compensation was adequate for the experience. With that being said, I will stay there again as the room was clean and the staff were friendly. Bath towels on the first day were small but the fresh ones we were given were larger.
Heidi P — Google review
This was our second stay at Ruby River. The rooms are very clean and updated. The location is right on the river walk and close to Gonzaga. Great pool and hot tub. They no longer have coffee in the lobby but give you a drink ticket for either a beer, wine or coffee instead. There is also a Keurig type coffee maker in the room with 2 decaf and 2 regular coffee (but only a total of two sugar and creamer packets). I would recommend staying here, but on this trip, we had a few issues. Our bed was missing the fitted sheet. We wanted to lay down a bit before going out, but had to deal with the sheet issue. We asked the front desk to have house keeping put on a bottom sheet (the top sheet was directly on the mattress pad). They said they would take care of it right away and offered an additional drink ticket to use while we waited (one ticket for two of us. - we asked and got a second). We went to have a beer at the bar and since it was busy we had to stand at the bar (although there was an employee having her shift drink taking up two stools right next to us). The bartender was not very good. I could barely get his attention and then he never looked at us again for the next 30 minutes. We went back to the room finally and the sheet was still not fixed. Back to the front desk and asked the same host about the situation. She seemed confused and we had to explain the situation again (I would think missing a sheet would stick out in your mind). She then called housekeeping again and told them we wanted an extra sheet added. ahh - no - not an extra sheet, just the fitted sheet that was missing. No apology or anything for the wait. We left and came back a few hours later and they had put the sheet on. The first host to check us in was great and I hope the bartender and second host were just a fluke.

The staff here was super friendly and awesome. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the restaurant food was delicious. The only thing I could possibly complain about is a couple tiny penny-pinching decisions made way back when they built the place: tiny toilets and no bathroom fans. I don't see any easy way to remedy that though. And it was really a small detail in an otherwise fantastic stay.

The Davenport Tower, Autograph Collection is a luxurious hotel located in downtown Spokane. The rooms are elegantly designed with a safari-inspired decor and feature signature pillowtop 'Davenport Beds,' custom-made furniture, and modern amenities. Guests can enjoy the indoor pool, hot tub, 24-hour business center, and fitness center. The hotel's restaurant, The Safari Room Grill and Bar, serves fresh local cuisine and drinks.
We lived staying at the Tower. Every single staff member was delightfully kind, from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the lounge. We had a great view from our room of Spokane, the room was comfortable and fully stocked. We got more sleep this weekend than we’ve had in weeks. We highly recommend The Davenport Hotels, and the Downtown location honestly was perfection. A++

Really liked this hotel. The room was comfy. The decor was nice. I didn't try the bar or restaurant, though. Seemed nice. Checking in was easy. The pool was in the basement and not too inviting, but wasn't a big deal. Good location. Easy to walk a lot of places.

Disappointed by Early Departure Fee Policy I recently booked a two-night stay at this Marriott but ended up completing my work a day early and checked out after just one night. At checkout, the front desk staff thanked me and emailed my receipt—without any mention of additional charges. Later, I discovered a $130 fee per room (for two rooms) had been added due to what they considered a “late cancellation.” To be clear, I didn’t cancel—I stayed one night and simply departed early. Marriott’s 48-hour cancellation policy was cited as the reason, but that policy should apply to cancellations, not early departures. When I called to clarify, the front desk reiterated the charge without acknowledging the distinction. This experience has left me questioning whether I’ll stay at a Marriott again. Charging guests for nights they didn’t use—especially without clear communication—is disappointing to say the least!

Amazing downtown location, walkable to most restaurants, and other desirable attractions. Room was clean and on par with most Marriott collection hotels. The experience that I took exception with was front desk check in. I checked in on my Marriot App, listed that I would be using valet parking, and had selected a check in time. I was greeted with a half hearted generic welcome by a young woman who took little pride in her professional appearance. After she viewed my ID, she started asking questions that should have already been addressed with the online check in. When I asked her about this and informed her I just wanted a plastic room key she quipped “I just go here”. Not sure what that had to do with her inability to recognize that I already checked in via the app. She also charged me for an early check in even though when I checked in on the app, it let me, with no mention of the charge. I travel extensively for work and make the choice to stay at Marriott branded hotels(Titanium Elite). I have NEVER been charged for an early check in nor have I experienced such a confrontational and disrespectful interaction with hotel staff. I use the app to streamline the process and make it easier for everyone involved. It’s a nice hotel, in a great location, but unfortunately, that was completely offset by my very first interaction and didn’t make the stay enjoyable. Also checked out with her at the front desk and it was the same level of apathy for anything she seemed to be doing.

5 stars! Aimee Devaney, Andrew Smith, and all the staff at this location, made sure my meeting went amazing! Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms, and amazing staff make this a must stay/visit on your next trip to Spokane! I will definitely be hosting more meetings at this venue! Top notch service!

Nice unique hotel. Feel as though I'm on a African safari upon entering. Animal heads, statues and patterns everywhere. Rooms comfortable. But sparse though. Little refrigerator just set on the floor. Not encased in any furniture. Afterthought I guess. But nice bathroom and shower.

Stayed here for work. Location is great for those on vacation looking to explore downtown. Rooms are what one would expect. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone in the hall way and next door. No mini fridge in rooms. You can request one for a $15 charge. Though over the course of 3 days, I requested one repeatedly and was told one would be brought up and it never was.

The bathroom lacks a safety feature! There are no grab bars. This increases the risk of falls in the shower. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and too high. The room was spacious and clean. Sheets and other amenities were good.

Nestled on the north side of the Spokane River, Oxford Suites Spokane offers a unique vantage point to experience Downtown Spokane. Guests can start their mornings with a delightful complimentary breakfast enjoyed on the balcony, boasting stunning views of Riverfront Park. After a day of exploration, unwind with a glass of wine from the bistro while soaking in the twinkling lights of the arts district.
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The AC was not noisy. One weekend night there were several noisy cars but no problems with outside noise otherwise. The front desk staff were so so nice and answered our questions and provided supplies when needed. Every staff member we encountered was kind and seemed genuinely happy. There was coffee available all day/evening. Breakfast was really nice each day with some variation. We only hit the afternoon reception a couple of times and the snacks (a lovely minestrone soup one day) were great. The location is incredible. There are so many things to do and restaurants within walking distance. We also enjoyed the patio later in the evenings. We were really happy to support a family run chain of hotels as well.

Very nice hotel on the north side of the park. Lots of parking, easy access to walking trail by the river. Staff were excellent, kind enough to lock our bikes up in the hotel. Apparently they were not safe to leave on our car bike rack even with double locks. Price was great for the area.

Loved the location. The staff and services/amenities were perfect. We’d enjoyed being able to walk to the Riverfront Park and surrounding areas. Parking was safe. My only ‘complaints’ were it sounded like we were next to a race track at bedtime. With cars racing on the main road. And our upstairs neighbors were the worst kind of alarm clock screaming (adult) and running (kids). I guess we could have had a better room. But we enjoyed our stay and the room was more than comfortable.

We had a great stay. It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and wanted someone near home so we can still be accessible to our children. This place checked all the boxes; central, near the water, near the city but away from the hustle and bustle, pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, breakfast, food service. It was hard to get them to bring us towels haha but we managed by just going to get them ourselves, though they said they’d bring them up to us, twice. Chevy, during breakfast, was welcoming and kind. He was busy making breakfast, stocking items and tidying around the food bar but still managed to engage in friendly conversation. The room felt clean and fresh. We’ll definitely return.

Hotel was very good. Good location on the Spokane River with good parking. Nice clean premises and rooms. Breakfast was a bit disappointing though. We arrived an hour prior to the end of breakfast however there were no hot items available for us.

Every staff member I encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was top notch with real fresh food (not the frozen microwaved stuff you get at most free hotel breakfasts). I also really enjoyed the river view off my balcony, especially at sunset! The location of the hotel puts you right along the River Front Park, which has a bunch of cool sites to see. Highly recommend!

The combination of a classy, spotless room, friendly staff, and amazing location make this my favorite hotel I’ve stayed in this year and a great value. We spent a bit extra on a room with a balcony overlooking the river park. After a long road trip, it was nice to relax on the balcony and watch the river. The hotel is right on the very pleasant river walk and close to the dam and falls. Breakfast was one of the most complete offerings that we’ve seen for a complementary breakfast. Real plates and silverware were a nice touch as well. I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, hot tub, or sauna, but by wife said they were nice. I honestly wish we had one more day to stay in Spokane just to chill at this hotel.

Excellent location on the Spokane River with spacious room. The sink is located outside of the bathroom so it's nice that someone can use the sink while another person is using the restroom. There is an indoor pool, but I didn't use it. Parking feels secure and well lighted.

Montvale Hotel in Spokane's Arts and Entertainment District is a sophisticated boutique hotel with 36 rooms and an on-site pub serving all sorts of cocktails and pub grub. The lobby is filled with comfy sofas, where guests can relax after exploring the city.
What a nice hotel! Rooms are clean, comfortable & well appointed. Our beds were cozy and the linens were soft, we stayed with our family and really enjoyed ourselves. Love the microwave and mini fridge combo as a bonus. Bathrooms are clean, updated and with plenty of towels. Common areas are lovely with a touch of vintage charm and staff was very accommodating and friendly. We stayed in the presidential suite and it’s a great size for a young family. Highly recommend the Montvale if you’re staying in Spokane.

Spotlessly clean room. Very comfortable bed. The shampoo in the dispenser made my hair very shiny. The water did have a faint sulfer smell. This hotel is downtown. We had to walk a bit to find a place for the dog to go potty. Got a room on the top floor (3rd floor) and did not hear anyone. Had a great nights sleep. The desk clerk was pleasant and helpful.

Charming Historic Gem in the Heart of Spokane I recently stayed at the Montvale Hotel in downtown Spokane, and it exceeded expectations in every way. Despite some friends warning us about staying downtown, I found the area to be clean, safe, and not overly busy—we had no issues and felt completely comfortable throughout our visit. What drew me to this hotel was its charm, character, and rich history, and it delivered on all fronts. If you’re looking for something more unique and atmospheric than a standard chain hotel like the Holiday Inn, this is the place. From the moment we checked in, the customer service was excellent—friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with a cozy sitting area on the second floor reserved for guests, and even a boardroom for meetings or small gatherings. Our room featured high ceilings and tall windows that did a good job of keeping street noise out. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom had both a tub and shower. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including a larger-than-average mini fridge, a coffee maker, a spacious closet, and a nice flat-screen TV. My only small complaint: the windows didn’t have blackout curtains, so it was fairly bright —something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to light. There’s a great little coffee shop right next door (they actually make their own syrups!) and downstairs you’ll find the Gilded Unicorn, an adorable and atmospheric restaurant with a 15% discount for hotel guests. Unfortunately, they were closed for renovations,. There’s also a saloon-style restaurant with a separate entrance, adding to the building’s historic charm. The hotel is only about 10 minutes from the airport, and there is limited parking (around 12–15 spots) adjacent to the hotel. If those are full, additional parking is available a couple of blocks away at their sister property. In all, I’m so glad we chose Montvale. It’s full of charm, has great staff, and offers a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t get at a cookie-cutter chain hotel. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable stay in Spokane!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed in Room 301L, a Loft room—and wow! Absolutely loved it. The space was huge, with high ceilings, wood floors, and a full wall of windows. Beautiful. The kitchen was well-equipped with pans, utensils, glasses, and a dishwasher (game changer for hosting!). Beds were comfy, rooms spacious, and having a washer/dryer was such a bonus—we left with no dirty laundry. The full-size fridge was perfect too, especially since we stocked up at Costco. If I’m being picky, a couple of cozy lounge chairs, a second bathroom, and a working fireplace (ours was broken) would have made it flawless. What really made the stay though was Landen. He helped me when I booked over the phone, then checked us in. Patient, kind, attentive—he even tracked down dishwasher soap and offered to help with the fireplace. Truly a gem. The location couldn’t be better: secure parking behind the hotel ($10/day, worth it), and everything downtown within walking distance. Bonus: you’re right above First Avenue Coffee, which has fantastic drinks and a great vibe. We’ll definitely be back.

One of the coolest places I have ever stayed. Friendly greeting, so many choices as far as food, coffee, etc. And the hotel itself has been so well decorated. The room was exceptional as was the courtyard area with seating and coffee. Great place.

The vintage hotel is relatively well maintained and has a great vibe. The in/out parking access was a nice element for being in a downtown location. The amenities such as fitness & business center were sparse, but sufficient for a quick trip. Service was very pleasant by all the staff we encountered.

We have stayed here several times and enjoy each stay. The staff is pleasant and the walkable restaurants and breweries around are an added bonus. Brought friends with us and went to a concert at quest casino and took an uber to and from very easily. Great central location.

We were looking forward to our stay here but it was overall terrible. The front desk person was rude, interrupting our questions and being unhelpful when we asked for advice on parking and information about the area. The room was nice but nothing different from any other hotel. We were told it was $25 for a week with up to two dogs but we were charged $55 dollars for one night with two dogs. Also you pay $10 to park in the side lot, but there’s not enough space for all guest so you may or may not actually get to park there. But the worst was loud drunk people standing outside our hotel room door at two in the morning shouting and laughing, they went into their room eventually but continued being loud for two more hours. We called down to the front desk multiple times to ask if they could send someone to help make them be quiet. When we woke up exhausted the next morning the coffee station was out of coffee. Not well managed and lots of hidden fees.

It is centrally located within walking distance to Gonzaga University and the Spokane Convention Center. We had such a wonderful stay at the Davenport Centennial Hotel over Labor Day weekend! From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely exceptional—every staff member we encountered went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. The highlight of our trip was definitely the family-friendly pool party. What a fantastic idea to bring people together for the holiday weekend—it created such a fun and relaxing atmosphere for both kids and adults. Our bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after long days of fun, and the food at the hotel was excellent—we enjoyed every meal. A special shout-out goes to Ray at the front desk, who truly stood out for his outstanding service. Ray went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and memorable. It’s rare to encounter someone so attentive and genuinely kind, and he made a big difference in our experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend the Davenport Centennial for anyone coming to Spokane—it’s the perfect mix of comfort, great food, and exceptional service!

Stayed one night. The hotel felt massive, which I liked. I think it was an okay stay overall. Xavier who checked us in was friendly and convinced me to upgrade to a king room with a balcony (which was left over unoccupied from the previous night), since the standard kings were not yet available when I tried to check in. Parking was very good and secure. Pool looked amazing, but didn’t get to go in. A short walk from center of town, and many good restaurants were a short drive or even walk away. Room was generous in space, but bathroom was small. Had a microwave and a mini fridge. Noticed a lot of dust or particles coming from the sheets for some reason, and sheets were very thin. Also found long hair in the bath tub. Also at the hotels restaurant it seemed like they were short staffed (one waitress). And noticed the floors of the restaurant were not very clean at the time I ate there. So a mixed bag. Not the best I have stayed at, but definitely not the worst.

A Wonderful Surprise and Exceptional Accessibility! I recently booked an ADA room for a friend, and we were absolutely blown away by what she received! I had the privilege of spending time with her and her sister during the stay, and we were all so impressed. The room was a complete surprise in the best way — spacious, thoughtfully designed, and so comfortable. The balcony view overlooking the Pavilion was a beautiful bonus. The roll-in shower made a huge difference for accessibility, and the king-sized bed, microwave, and refrigerator added so much convenience. We were especially thankful for the parking availability, though it would have been even more helpful if the room key could also validate parking. Still, the location was perfect — close to everything and with easy access to the airport. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and comfortable. It truly exceeded our expectations!

As someone who grew up staying at this hotel On family trips when I was little; This used to be the Ref Lion Hotel; And as far as I’m concerned, it was way better quality, service and environment back then. I booked a queen room. We ended up going to the basement floor. It seems that these rooms were the extra rooms (overflow) that they never used. Considering they were extra rooms that they never use, they should probably still clean them once in a while. There was a massive spiderweb in the corner of the bedroom with a massive spider in the web, the spiderweb draped under to the side table, there was a poop like stain on the sheet in the bed, there was a bunch of water on the carpet and after trying to clean it up, it was like a yellow brown, there was food stains on the curtains, there were stains on top of the comforter and the icing on the cake was we were told parking was complementary when we tried to early check in. When we were checking in, we were told that parking was $15 a day and then there was extra taxes on top of that. We went to the front desk and told them about all of these things that we had found in the room. Instead of moving us to a new room since that room was completely disgusting, they gave us the $15 car fee and a $20 resort fee. I came to Spokane for a weekend getaway. I paid $192 for a room for 1 night. It is supposed to be a pretty bougie hotel since remodeling again. Supposed to be newer and better. In closing, anytime I come back to Spokane I will make sure that we do not stay at this hotel. Here are some photos.

Room wasnt very clean, stains on the walls and we found shard of glass on the floor. Bathroom is pretty small. Room space is decent and a cute small balcony. Our room wasnt ready until after 5pm and we were told 4pm guaranteed check in. The hotel restaurant is surprisingly good. The bathroom soaps were out and we requested them to be refilled and were not. We ended up just getting our own. Great walking distance to hot spots. We were less than 10 min walk to the Spokane Arena. Lots of trash and sheets out I the halls all day. Im sure from cleaning the rooms but ive honestly never seen it to that level. All in all its a meh stay but close to a lot of amenities.

We toured the Skyline ballroom for our wedding (but didn’t end up picking it) and Melissa was absolutely fantastic to work with! The lobby is full of plants and the rooms are fresh and clean. Lots have balconies, which is fun. It’s so close to downtown and right on the river, but still a very quiet area and I didn’t see any homeless people around. A beautiful choice for a wedding or just a weekend getaway!

We have been staying here when we come into town for the last year. Sometimes it’s very busy with city events and other times it’s pretty mellow. We always have an enjoyable stay and the staff are incredibly friendly and kind. The restaurant Food is amazing. We’ve had breakfast and dinner here and it never disappoints. The outdoor pool is a great space to relax in the summer. It’s a big space so unless the hotel is really crowded there’s usually plenty of space to hang out. There is plenty of parking and it is only $15 extra. I would recommend this place as a great centrally located hotel. Bonus it’s on the centennial trail and usually lots of Lime scooters around. If you head west through the park it’s easy to get to Kendall Yards for dinner or to enjoy the trail.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Spokane, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Spokane City Center offers contemporary non-smoking rooms with breathtaking views of the Spokane River. This 4-star hotel is conveniently located near River Park Square and Riverfront Public Park, providing easy access to shopping, dining, and outdoor activities. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a fitness center, outdoor pool, lounge bar, and entertainment activities.
This is one of my favorite Hilton properties. It is located right next to the beautiful Spokane River and on the edge of downtown with many movies and restaurants to chose from. The hotel staff are friendly, the rooms are beautiful and quiet. The coffee shop has great food and a very caring staff. I have stayed at this property several times and it is always an excellent experience

Just because this is a 4 star hotel does not necessarily mean you should stay here if you have better options. Yes it was clean and safe and nice however it was very overpriced and you have to pay for breakfast, and to park just at the hotel and there are a hundred small fees that add up quickly. The service was quick and nice but nothing is included and you are far from anything you may need to do including food unless you’d like to pay $80 per meal at their restaurant. The hot tub and pool were small for a hotel of this size and the drains in the shower did not work. If you have another option to stay at, I’d recommend that instead.
Gavin B — Google review
You can find much better value at a better price across the street. The standard rooms don’t come with a microwave. The jacuzzi was not hot, and was so chlorinated that my legs burned. Everything in this hotel is extra - no free parking, no free breakfast, not even complimentary coffee in the lobby (but they do have a Starbucks where you can pay for coffee). They provide tea bags in the room, but to make tea, you have to go to your room, put water in a cup, go to the lobby to microwave the water, then seep the tea bag. Meanwhile, the rooms and facilities are just fine. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. But that’s it. The bathroom amenities are minimal - only one bar of soap and no body wash provided. I don’t know why anyone would ever pay this much to stay here when you can get a similar room with a microwave, complimentary breakfast, parking, and coffee right across the street for less. The location is great - right on the river walk, but the other hotels are too.

This was a last minute reservation/check in, and we were not disappointed, and it was worth every dollar! The staff were amazing, the property was spotless, and the room was large, comfortable, and quiet. We did not eat breakfast at the restaurant, but it was usually full of happy patrons. It is walking distance of many downtown attractions, including Steam Park and River Park Squares, and plenty of food and drink. Parking is $28 per day, but it is inside and secure. I highly recommend this hotel!

The only good thing about this stay was the people at the front desk — truly kind and helpful. But the rest was disappointing. We booked and paid extra for a high-floor river view, yet were first given a 9th-floor room facing the roof. After going back, they moved us to the 11th floor. Late at night, I took a shower and found the tub completely clogged. Maintenance came and poured a strong chemical into the drain, telling us to leave it for 30 minutes — in a non-ventilated bathroom. Breathing that air was awful. His only advice was to open the window to “let air circulate,” which brought freezing air inside. My wife ended up getting sick and is still recovering days later. This Hilton feels very outdated and poorly maintained. The staff were great, but the conditions were not safe or up to Hilton standards.
Saghal W — Google review
Let me start by saying the staff was great. The room itself was horrible and very outdated for the price. We got the worst view despite coming mid-week and the hotel was very empty. The showers were cold and we could not shower the whole stay, and the hotel did nothing to help us besides saying that they would fix it. The shower head was broken and also very short — I’m 6 ft tall and had to bend over for the 5 minutes of warm water.

This is my number one pick when traveling for business. Guest services is great for an easy check in experience, rooms are clean and the cafe staff is top tier with their customer service. The bartenders at Spencer’s are also wonderful! Great place to stay.

The staff is great. Parking is not the best but not the worst. Only complaint I have is the thermostat - you cannot turn the heater on alone; it also turns on the AC. The weather outside is currently low 40s/high 30s so our room is freezing cold. It would be nice to warm up our room without having to use the AC. I also have children with me and the inability to maintain a warm room puts them at risk of becoming sick. Won’t be booking during Fall and Winter in the future.

This place is so good, best hotel I've been through. They have free breakfast and a cookie time where you can get a free cookie and some milk. High tech lighting in rooms and is very easily accessible. Pet friendly too! The only think that would make this place better would be a pool, but the amenities sure make up for that! All the people are nice. :)

This is one of the beste „value for money“ experiences I had in a long time! All the staff are super friendly, the room was spacious, newly renovated shower, a really good bed, even a small balcony. The location is great to explore Spokane by foot. Before you go to bed you can even grab home made cookies 🍪 & milk🥛- how sweet! And the next morning you get a REAL breakfast with so many items, you can’t eat them all. Plus I really like the „chateau style“ of the building 🏰 A really great place to stay if you’re traveling through Spokane!

In the past, the Holiday Inn Express was considered just a cheap hotel, right? Well, that is completely wrong. The location is great, up on "The Rock", and it looks like an older hotel, but it's not. Renovated, new, and shiny it feels well cared for. The quality, service, and amenities were great, from our first interaction at the front desk. We had a reservation and after driving for hours, we arrived well before check-in. We were prepared to wait in the lobby or even in our car, if necessary. However, the staff quickly found a solution. We were able to check into our room to get much, much-needed rest Our room was immaculate, with luxurious beds and pillows. Immaculate bathroom with great-sized shower. The treats provided, from their Monday, Tuesday Wednesday "managers last afternoon gathering", to the late-night cookies and 24-hour coffee, all add to feeling well-cared for and respected as customers. In short, the place was very welcoming and comfortable. Stay here next time you are in Spokane.

We stopped here for a quick over night to rest in-between travels. This Holiday Inn Express had the NICEST staff i have ever encountered. We stayed September 3rd into September 4th. Every staff member i came in contact with was so welcoming. there was a lovely member who was taking care of breakfast. she was a doll. Very nice and it was clear she respected her job and strives to do it well. the house keeper Nadia had our room so clean when we arrived, she even left a towel teddy on the bed. Everything was wonderful, if you are looking for a nice clean place to rest with staff who care, this is the place for you :)

Holiday Inn Express is just a cheap businessman's hotel, right? WRONG. This place is actually a place I would seek out again, next time I am in town. It's in a cool location, up on "The Rock", and it looks good, and there is nothing that could have been better about the quality, service, and amenities at this hotel. It was a top-shelf experience, and much of that tone was set by my first interaction with Max at the front desk. I was a tired motorcyclist at the end of more than 1500 miles of riding, and knew it wasn't safe to go any further. I picked this hotel at random because it was up on the hill. Max got me early check-in. Into a ground floor room with a reserved parking place for my bike directly outside my hotel room door! The room was immaculate, had some really classy indirect lighting, all the USB ports a person needs, in all the right places, and beds and pillows that felt luxurious. Max also got me signed up for an IHG account which saved me money on my rate, and gave me tips where to find food and gas nearby. All of this sounds typical of any hotel, right? But it was MORE than that ... it seemed like the people here actually like their job and their clients, and the place felt very welcoming and comfortable. The evening social event was even nice and well-attended, so it seems other customers felt similarly to me. This is a great place to stay in Spokane.

Very cool hotel. Dog friendly. Ground floor rooms have access to a mini dog park basically. This should be standard at every dog friendly hotel. Lush green grass and a doggy waste station. Amazing views too! Comfy bed and bedding! Treats from the housekeeping staff. I only have minor complaints about the bathroom, but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again. Nice hotel.

After years of staying at the Ruby River, we were disappointed by their $100/night price increase and decided to try the Holiday Inn, which our kids call ‘the castle’ for its distinctive appearance. We were impressed by the exceptionally clean rooms. The staff was friendly, offering warm cookies every evening for the kids. The hotel is conveniently located near the river and downtown park, where we enjoyed walking and riding Lime scooters. We will definitely stay here again.

Weird policies but good place: 1) Breakfast oatmeal is served out of a plastic bag to make cleanup easier(?!) No other IHG does this. It's disgusting. You have a stainless steel oatmeal serving pot for a reason, and that reason is that stainless steel is already easy to clean. Ditch the plastic bag. 2) No parking a second vehicle. Even on off-peak days when the lot has plenty of space and there's few guests. 3) No cot allowed in room. They have cots. But fire code is they can't be placed in the room.

Hilton Garden Inn Spokane Airport is a modern hotel conveniently located near the airport. The hotel offers amenities such as free WiFi, an indoor pool, and a Jacuzzi. It also provides versatile event space for up to 100 people, making it suitable for business meetings or social functions. Guests can enjoy American cuisine at the on-site restaurant and take advantage of the complimentary airport shuttle service. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and guests have praised the friendly staff.
This place was a God -sent after a hard day of travel. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The shuttle driver, David, asked nice questions and insisted on getting our bags and opening our doors. Cameron at the counter was so thorough and kind. Tim, at the restaurant was an excellent server and made sure we had every need met. Super clean too. Thank you!

Unlike every other Hilton property I've ever stayed at, military/ government rates are excluded from breakfast, which is nearly $20 per head even for children. On top of that, the bathrooms are frustrating, with an extra pump-top hand soap where body wash should be, and soap trays you practically need to chisel bar soap off of. The location is fantastic, walking distance from a great restaurant, but they aren't open until 11, so that doesn't alleviate the breakfast issue.

Booked room. Charged $165 service fee. I Cancelled the room 2 days prior to check in Hilton still chared me $270. "cancellation fee/ service fee" when I called there is nothing they could do about that $230! REDUCULOUS! TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE!!

For those 5am flights ut of Spokane this place can’t be beat. Helpful professional staff from desk to bar to kitchen or dining to the shuttle driver, everyone willing to serve. Bar & kitchen good food even at closing. So good we booked our return from Washington wine tour.

EDIT: I got a call (and email) from this Hotel, not Hilton, but this Hotel themselves to make this right. Britney, AGM, thanks for making this right in spite of Hilton Corporate. They rebooked me for a future trip and (as a bonus) fixed my preferred name for the reservation 💖 I'll be seeing these fine folks twice in July. Original Review: Rooms are fine. Hilton Corporate doesn't allow for customer service anymore. Avoid Hilton properties. The corporate shill that responded doesn't even get my name right. And no, there hasn't been a positive outcome from the Hilton side yet. Hilton technology leaves something to be desired. The online booking system will frequently swap dates on me forcing me to call Hilton to attempt to get a refund or a rescheduled reservation on the dates I actually need. Rates are non refundable for no reason other than vibes. They refused to fix the dates or refund the mistake after I called literally immediately after realizing. I've stayed here multiple times (5+ nights last year alone) with no issues but I guess it's time to try a different spot. Would give a zero for service if possible. I'll never stay at another Hilton property. As stated earlier, I stay at this and other Hilton properties over 10x a year or at least I used to, Marriott or Wyndham will get a chance now. Edit: Oh, and this was booked directly through the Hilton website. So the response doesn't even understand their own system. Priceline wasn't involved at all.

I loved this little hotel. The rooms were nice and comfortable, especially the beds. I loved that there were 4 big pillows on each bed, and they didn't hesitate to bring a few more when asked. I just had surgery and needed more to get more comfortable! We had a quick breakfast in the morning in a little cafe they have in the hotel, not the greatest but not the worst.

Okay, we loved this place. We stayed in the lilac suite, 3rd floor overlooking main street and Spokane falls. This place is beautiful and there's a pool, full indoor court, lockers, central location. The ice machine is broken and the TV setup is inconvenient. But still loved the stay enough to drop all five🌟. If you choose TSC then be sure to visit the Guilded Unicorn. Also not disappointing 🦄🍹😄 Edit: I really don't like doing this but upon checking out the clerk was very impolite and unprofessional and I have deducted all service stars. Truly disappointing.

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and we cannot recommend it. Two months prior to our scheduled arrival, we made a confirmed booking through their online portal. Upon arrival, we were informed that our reservation had been cancelled due to alleged attempts to contact us. Initially, the staff stated they had no contact information for our booking. However, after presenting our confirmation email, which clearly displayed both our email address and phone number, they claimed to have sent cancellation notifications to a different, incorrect email address. Despite the clear error on their part, the staff offered no assistance or resolution. We were left to find alternative accommodations at the last minute, resulting in significant inconvenience and a doubling of our expected hotel costs. This situation reflects a severe lack of organization, communication, and customer service. We strongly advise potential guests to exercise caution when booking with this establishment.
Uday A — Google review
I honestly don’t even know where to start. First of all, the parking situation is ridiculous—you have to leave your car blocks away in a sketchy neighborhood and hope it’s still there in the morning. Once inside, things only get worse. The bathroom had broken tiles *and* an actual hole in the floor. Not even exaggerating—*a hole.* The furniture looks like it was pulled from a garage sale in 1974, and not in a charming vintage way—just old, dingy, and depressing. The whole place feels like it hasn’t been cleaned or updated in decades. Everything is super dated, and the vibe is honestly bizarre. I sent an email to management but never heard back.

Checked in to find the previous occupant's lunch trash in the bedroom wastebasket. No big deal. Sat on the edge of the bed and slid to the floor -- the king size mattress was on a queen size frame. Still no big deal -- kind of funny! Late that night opened shower curtain to discover lots of long black hair on the shower wall. Sigh. Too tired to deal with changing rooms. Quickly discovered there's no heat in the bathroom. Soon after discovered that the thermostat in the room did not work -- the room never got about 64 degrees F. Slept in fleece with all the blankets on. Next morning sitting in hot bath gave a good view of the inside of the toilet bowl and the mildew ring under the rim. Checked out, asked the desk person to have a Manager call me. Nobody did. Went to hotel bar to wait for flight time, ordered potato vodka, was told they were all out. Server offered apple vodka instead, and said it tasted "clean, like vodka -- not like apples." Drink came, and smelled like an Apple Jolly Rancher. One sip of an Apple Jolly Rancher-flavored dirty martini is enough. Asked server to replace it with plain vodka, and she attempted to argue me out of my position. "I don't taste apples. It just tastes clean, like vodka." Held my ground. Customer Satisfaction Survey arrived by email the next day. Completed it and checked the box asking for a Manager to contact me. That was four days ago. Crickets. Maybe try the Historic Davenport?

Great hotel, and location can't be beat. Right downtown Spokane and lots of parks right outside the doors. The parking garage was very convenient and easy to use. Overall a great hotel and restaurant. The rooms and furnishing are showing their age but the bed was comfortable and some parts have been updated. For the price we paid I was very happy, but if you're looking for the most modern hotel you may want a different option. I would however stay there again without question.

The Best Western Plus City Center hotel is located in Spokane, WA and is a great place to stay if you're looking for a convenient location and good value. The hotel has easy access to downtown attractions, as well as free indoor parking and a fitness room. The breakfast buffet includes waffles.
One of the nicest, cleanest Best Western Plus we have stayed at. Super convenient downtown location with a secure parking garage (added fee but worth it). Free breakfast in the morning & free cookies at night. Right across the street from the convention center. The only downside is they only have 46 tv channels & half of those are news/sports. Right next door to a Chili's and within walking distance to quite a few bars 🍺
PinkSparkle — Google review
My husband and I stayed here for a mini vacay. We've always had pretty good luck staying at Best Western locations, and this location was no exception. First, I loved the decor, from the paint on the walls to the carpet in the halls to the decor in the rooms. Everything was super clean and smelled fresh. Second, the staff was incredible. Every single staff member we interacted with fantastic. They took great care at their jobs, especially those taking care of the continental breakfast. Speaking of which, this location takes great care to do a wonderful breakfast. The food was plentiful and the area kept clean. Lastly, I like that this location doesn't have a pool. As adults on a getaway, we don't use hotel pools much anyway, and there weren't many families with children at this location. I suspect that was because of the lack of pool. It made for a quiet, enjoyable stay inside. The only downfall to this location, and it's not the hotel's fault, is the noise outside. There's a lot of activity from homeless people in this area, and that sometimes included those using drugs on the sidewalk and people shouting. There also happened to be someone at the corner using a bullhorn to protest. If you're sensitive to noise, this may not be the best location for you. But again, that's not the fault of the hotel. It's just a busy downtown location. There are perks to the location, too. We were within walking distance to make food and shopping options. We pretty much never needed to use our vehicle. Overall, we really liked this spot, and we'll happily choose to stay here again. The only complaint I could possibly have is that the mattresses need updated. My back was sore during our stay. New, quality mattresses would make this the perfect hotel.

Good location, close to many things including great food. Service was phenomenal. I wish I had grabbed the guys name that checked us in so I could give a personal shout out because he was so great. Speedy check in, gave great info including the best spot to take our dog since we were traveling with a pet, and full options for parking. Only slight mark down was for the room. Nice spacious room, good design, comfortable beds, clean linens. However it would seem the previous guests dog had an issue while here and it didn't get cleaned up well. Carpets need to be cleaned. We did not say anything to the front desk, there wasn't really an odor and we were tired from traveling. I'm confident they would have provided a new room had we asked.
Kristina K — Google review
I would have given the hotel 5 stars if the coffee maker in the room wasn't gross. The rooms are very nice and well kept. They had good soap and in the bathrooms and clean toweIs. I also really like the evening front desk guy, he was very nice.

I just stayed at this hotel on Saturday night, it was completely amazing most comfy beds ever, big fridge, big microwave, awesome view, amazing continental breakfast and close to everything downtown Spokane, Washington. Also incredibly wonderful associates that work there, very kind and accommodating.
Mandy Y — Google review
Stopped here on the way from Minnesota to Seattle just to sleep for the night. Unfortunately it was hard to sleep due to the street racing outside our room. Room 203 needs a new window as it sounded like the window was open. I noticed the window was separated from the trim, and unsafe and unsecured. See pictures for the damage and you can see how the moisture has been coming through the window causing the interior corners to mold. The bathroom toilet seat was also so old that it was delaminated. I expected more after paying $140+ for the night. We won't be back.

Great value in accomodations in the heart of Spokane's Theater District. Not luxurious, but for us it is exactly what we really need; clean rooms, safe location, parking ($5.00/night), fridge & coffee...

Great little hotel for the price. Went to the front desk to ask for a late checkout. Delainey was already on the phone with a customer. Every word out of her mouth was I cant. No. We dont do that. She hung up and I asked for late checkout. Of course the first words out of her mouth was no. "We have other guests coming". At 4:00 lady! The lack of common sense ruined the experience for me. I was more than willing to pay a late checkout fee. No compromise. Nice hotel...just expect to be told no.
Shelby R — Google review
This place was definitely a one and done stay. The lady behind the counter with blue hair was pretty rude. Upon entering the room, it's outdated, bedding was very hairy and had to swap out the dirty pillowcases. They give you only one voucher for breakfast, it took 35 minutes to get the blandest breakfast I've had since school lunch. Checkout was easy. All in all it wasn't horrible but definitely will spend more for a better room.
Maddy K — Google review
We first arrived and the receptionist was very kind and understanding so I must say that. However, upon entering our room (#218) the conjoining room (#217) door was unlocked and did not have a mechanism to physically lock it. We barely tapped the other door and it immediately opened. There was a man on the other side who said, “Oh I was completely nude in here, that was flattering.” As if he had been waiting for someone to tap on the door so he could do something to them. I immediately went down to the lobby and demanded a different room and explained what happened. Again, she was very kind. However, I was first told that there were no more rooms left. I was going to have to find a completely different hotel at 10:00 at night because there was absolutely no way I was going to be able to sleep KNOWING that room door didn’t lock properly next to some creep. What if it were young kids sleeping in that room we were provided and didn’t know how to assert themselves and something horrible happened? She was able to contact her manager and they set us up in a room that didn’t have a conjoined door. Why was there all of a sudden a new room available after I threatened to just up and leave? We finally were able to rest but that was so unsettling. The next morning on checkout I confronted the manager Zach who did not seem concerned at all. He had a demeanor that basically seemed as if he was blaming the situation on us. As if we were stupid on not understanding how the door worked. I’m an intelligent grown woman, don’t treat me like that. I don’t usually give bad reviews either! But when I do, they deserve it. We went to the room that morning and he was saying that the doors lock internally and that either room has to open theirs each in order for them to be a joined room. Well guess what? The other person could have just put a simple piece of tape over the entry latch and there you go, no more lock. An unsuspecting tired young woman or man or whoever would be none the wiser and could have easily been roofied. Add a damn $5 dollar swing bar lock on both sides. ITS NOT THAT HARD. So frustrating for how careless they were and essentially nonchalantly blaming us. I should have been given a full refund honestly. Oh yes, there isn’t a lot of parking so expect to have to park in an unguarded fenced parking lot that is open at all hours a block away. I’ll never stay here again. I was honestly debating on sleeping in my car if they didn’t magically have a safer room to stay in.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck… it’s probably a duck. If it’s Hotel Ruby? It’s probably a motel. Jokes aside, this space was perfect for a quick stop and plop for a few hours in the middle of travel. Beds are fine, not great - kinda itchy but totally manageable. Service was stellar, though- it should be noted that there isn’t a 24HR attendant at the desk, someone will have to come help you after you call. Just be aware of that. Breakfast at Rosie’s is cute and quaint- a great add. All in all, if you don’t mind the thin walls (don’t worry they have free ear plugs), cleanliness shortcomings, and the motel vibe? Hotel Ruby is the best lodging in Spokane.

It was a 4-star experience in a 3-star motel. Note the word “motel”. I’ve not stayed in a motel in a long time. It was an older facility, but they have it pretty well updated. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the free breakfast was really, really good.

1950's motel revamped & made hip... Nice place with a Rock 'n Roll vibe. Great staff, friendly & helpful. Complimentary breakfast is also provided directly next door at what I believe is their supplemental business. No stale, cellophane wrapped Danish here folks. Eggs, sausage, etc....

For a budget friendly hotel you can’t beat the location and value. The rooms are good, clean, and comfortable. You get free breakfast (beverages not included). The hotel is walking distance some of the best restaurants in town. The only downside is the fight for parking. There is overflow parking a block away but if you have an early flight and lots of luggage that could be a pain point. I was lucky to get a spot every day in the hotel’s primary lot. My only complaint is the WiFi. I was on the 2nd floor and couldn’t get the signal. They need a mesh system or something. I highly recommend Hotel Ruby. This was my 2nd time staying and I was just as happy. Hope I can stay again the next time I’m in town.

Beds were very comfortable, the bathroom area was gorgeous and huge. Water pressure and temp was top notch. They are pet friendly which was important to us as we had 3 cats with us. Blackout curtains were legit as well with no peak a boo sunlight, this was important because we had traveled from Puyallup and headed to GA after this so sleep was important. Lastly, free breakfast in the morning was perfect and delicious ☺️

Only thing that sucked was the ice machine on our floor didn't work and it seemed all the guest that night where on the same floor. The pool wasn't that warm. But when we 1st got there since were ate hilton honor members they gave us a snack!

🤩🌟We stayed three nights at the Hampton Inn in downtown Spokane and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and secure, with key-accessed facilities and parking. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the staff was warm, professional, and helpful from start to finish. The daily breakfast was generous and fresh, and we loved the little extras like available microwaves, utensils, and bottled water. Although the pool heater was out during our stay, the team handled it promptly and offered Hilton Honors points for the inconvenience—a thoughtful touch. Overall, this hotel delivers outstanding value and service. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Spokane.❤️

Fantastic and convenient location, good proximity to the hospitals. The north-facing view is gorgeous. We spotted trains traveling through town and got to see the sunset from our room. Our room was perfect and had everything we needed. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful - even filling up my ice for me ☺️ The breakfast hours were expansive and the food was tasty with lots of variety to accommodate dietary needs. The person managing the breakfast was kind and attentive to all aspects, including refills of coffee decanters, juice pitchers, and water dispensers. She constantly wiped down the tables and all common areas. Well done, all! We’ve already booked our next stay!

The five stars really goes to the hotel staff … they were so genuinely compassionate, kind and helpful as they knew my dad was is the hospital. Location was within walking distance and coming back to a friendly, clean hotel was comforting during a difficult time. 5 star staff time for a raise

This is a very fine hotel. We were there for 13 days because of the illness of a loved one being treated at the hospital next door. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful and service was fast and efficient. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious and the huge bed was firm with lovely soft pillows. The shower was powerful and the water was soft and hot. There was no nonsense about not making up the room each day under the pretense of some sort of ecological philosophy. We came back every day to a made bed and a straightened room. The included breakfast wasn't fancy but was entirely adequate and some dishes like the frittata were pretty tasty. My only complaint was that the trash cans in the room were minuscule. Pretty good if that's all there is to grouse about.

This place rocks! Easily the best hotel experience I’ve ever encountered. The girl behind the counter (I think her name was Tiara? No no Teria?) was super friendly and helped us get squared away immediately. 10/10!

Front desk staff was very welcoming! And the rooms were comfortable and clean. Nice desk space to do some work if needed. They offered cookies at the in the evening and breakfast was also good!

Worse hotel room in which I have ever stayed in my entire life. The road noise was so loud, I couldn't hear my tv at normal volume. I also had to buy ear plugs so i could sleep. I realize this is only a 3-star hotel, but for $230/night, I expect at least some noise resistant windows. I've stayed at hotels right next to airports and never had near the extreme noise level that this room had. I will not be back. I'm going back to the Hilton properties. On the plus side, front desk staff were good.

I travel for work every other week and I've stayed at many hotels. By far, the service and kindness of the staff really stand out. Specifically, Neesa, was so kind and personable on my arrival and throughout my stay. The older gentleman (didn't get his name), always had a smile when I saw him and offered to help with my bags as I was leaving. What a great group of people you have at this location. It's also close to everything and I appreciate no parking fees. Thanks for making my week-long stay feel more like home!

Good experience. Seemed like a nice area. Service was excellent at the front desk. The room was super clean. No issues. I would say the room was a little dark. It was super quiet in the hallways.

Great place to stay downtown! Amazingly great staff, CLEAN rooms and property, no issues with homeless population and I was there over 4th of July. Great price. Comfortable beds and pillows, spacious rooms! This Hotel definitely gained my business!
Stormie M — Google review
I usually don’t have expectations for hotels, but this place blew me away. Whether it was the location right near Riverfront Park and that whole district or the room itself, this is elite living. Shannon checked us in at night and was great. Paul, who is usually the sales manager, was on front desk duty in the morning and afternoon and could not have been nicer. We forgot to get the name of the breakfast person, but she was awesome, making amazing bacon and providing orange juice from the machine that was so freaking good. Do not forget to ask for cookies if they’re not out at night. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating and we had zero problems during our stay. I hope I get to stay here again in the futurewith this management.

The Hotel Indigo Spokane is a laid-back hotel in the heart of Downtown Spokane. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is attentive. The amenities include a full range of services, such as free Wi-Fi and a fitness center.
I’ve stayed here twice. Unique & quaint, renovated hotel with narrow hallways and smaller rooms. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly. Street parking can be a challenge so consider the $30 a night valet parking. Lots of good dinner restaurants within walking distance. The attached restaurant is a train wreck - don’t bother.

I absolutely love this property. The location is good with lots of restaurants in walking distance. My room is really nice. The bed comfortable with good quality linens. Love that it has hardwood floors and it's also very clean. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Josephine at the reception desk is kind and helpful. Honor (hope I am spelling correctly) the bartender was awesome. She made some great local recommendations and shared the upcoming changes to the restaurant. Last but not least, Chad in Valet Parking was just a sweetheart. It's clear there is a positive culture because it's reflected in the superior customer service. This will be my hotel of choice in Spokane moving forward. Great hotel!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Indigo. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Nyla and Quinton checked us in the day we arrived and were very helpful regarding the best parking. Josephine was at the front desk and was very knowledgeable about how to get around the city. Austin, Cody and Aspen were all very helpful too. Thank you for helping us to have a great experience in Spokane.

The hotel is great and in an amazing location to walk up the hill to Maryhill winery or down the hill to downtown where there are lots of shops and restaurants as well as riverside park. The hotel itself is super unique with all the rustic decor and the rooms are a decent size with the bathrooms being huge! The staff are all super sweet and personable, especially Austin and Nyla who helped us multiple times and were so diligent to check in on us and our stay throughout our time here. My only complaint would be fluffier pillows and maybe a fridge/microwave in the room, but the beds are super comfy and unlike many other places that have feather pillows, (I am allergic and always run into issues) they have cotton which is wonderful. Overall this is one of my favorite hotels in downtown Spokane and is extremely affordable and feels so welcoming, which will keep us coming back!
Sarah — Google review
Hotel Indigo Spokane is a wonderful property. The staff is dedicated and professional, yet still laid-back and friendly. The decor is a superb hybrid of an historic property and a modern boutique hotel. Everything during my stay was exquisitely clean. In-property restaurant and coffee are very satisfying, and there are other options within a block or two. The hotel neighborhood is the Spokane city core, so it's very urban, yet feels safe. I would compare the ambiance of Hotel Indigo Spokane to a high-quality, professionally managed Swiss boutique hotel. Update: my second and third stays at this property were also excellent. Great to enjoy the consistent high quality and friendly service here. Hotel Indigo Spokane has earned my loyalty.
William N — Google review
What a cool spot! I loved this hotel. I stayed a couple nights for a work trip and was pleasantly surprised. This hotel has a great design and is very clean. The staff is great too. My only complaint was the timing of the restaurant closing. It was listed as being open till 10:00pm but closed at 9:00, still had time for a night cap though. That being said, I grabbed a sandwich and snacks from the lobby. The location was pretty good but parking is extra. This is definitely a repeat spot for me.
Carl B — Google review
Rooms were nice and the front desk was very gracious. Only downside is it's very close to some train tracks that are intermittently very loud. But they seem to be aware of it because they supplied earplugs on the nightstand. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable.
David H — Google review
The decor is very cute. That being said, there is no laundry on site, no microwaves in the room, no fridges in the room, and no parking. Parking is $30 a day in their valet or find somewhere on the street with a parking meter

Extended stay hotel
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Spokane Airport is a budget-friendly all-suite hotel located close to Spokane International Airport and a few miles from the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture. The hotel features a 24-hour market and restaurant/bar, as well as a gym and indoor pool.
I want to commend and thank the staff and management of this hotel. When I arrived after a late night flight, I was greeted as if I were a friend rather than just a hotel guest. Every interaction I had with the front desk was superior to what I have become accustomed to at other hotels. The hotel staff proceeded to go above and beyond my expectations when I accidentally left an expensive dental mouthpiece in my room. I was unfortunately already out of town when I discovered I had left it behind. Not only did they find it and save it, but they also mailed it to me. Thank you for restoring my faith in good service and kindness! I will definitely stay here again!
Cynthia M — Google review
My sister and I stayed one night to catch our very early flight. The quality and size of the room and service of the hotel staff exceeded our expectations. The room had 2 Queen beds and a sofa, a desk, coffee station with a mini fridge and microwave, and a spacious bathroom. The construction is fairly new. Everything worked well and it was very clean and in good repair. We had a light dinner in the bar dining area in the lobby, and that also exceeded our expectations for a basic airport hotel. Once again, the staff was Very attentive, friendly, and professional. Of course, the location is the best. Maybe a five minute walk to the airport across the street. Also, thank you to the hotel management for thoughtfully providing light breakfast buffet options at 4AM for early morning travelers. A full breakfast is also offered, starting a bit later.
Lg L — Google review
Second stay. This airport hotel is super clean, modern, and quiet. They have the most friendly staff I’ve experienced in a very long time. Super helpful people and very warmly welcomed throughout the hotel. The location was great for my business purposes on this trip. Being that it’s at the airport, it’s not necessarily super close to the restaurants, etc, in Spokane, but in a rental car it’s only 10-15 minutes to be downtown. It is a great place to stay if flying out early at Spokane International. My coworker and I both thought breakfast was pleasantly good (a little surprised, as we both travel to a lot of hotels for work and are usually not so thrilled). My thanks to the Springhill Suites Spokane Airport staff for another really nice stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE WITH KIDS I stayed at this hotel this past weekend. I’m traveling with my daughter, who is an infant. I requested a crib for her to sleep in on the reservation and called 2 days before arrival as well as the day of arrival to confirm one would be available. I informed the front desk employee on the day of arrival that I’d by happy to bring my own crib for her if one would not be available there and she assured me that there was one that would be cleaned and set up in my room when we arrived. When we checked in in the middle of the night (flight was delayed), there was no crib. The hotel was not able to find one and offered us pillows instead. I explained pillows are a suffocation risk for babies. The night employee, Amber, was very helpful and had another hotel drop off one of their cribs for us to use. This whole process took 2 hours and we barely got any sleep. We are very grateful to Amber for fixing this though! I called 2 full business days ago requesting to speak to the manager about the experience. I was forwarded to Vanessa and left a voicemail requesting a call back. She has not returned my call.
Megan C — Google review
The location is fantastic if you’re flying in or out of Spokane - you can literally see the entrance from the airport baggage claim. The walkway between is well-lit and easy to navigate at night. The staff could benefit from a bit more training, but overall they were helpful. Breakfast had a great selection; my only wish is that it either started at 5 a.m. or offered a few grab-and-go options for those with early flights.
Jordan — Google review
We arrived in the Spokane airport around 12:30 at night which was more than 12 hours later than we were scheduled. After getting our luggage and getting our rental vehicle we literally crossed the street to this hotel. So close and convenient!! Unfortunately the hotel was completely full so we weren’t able to stay the night. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful in assisting us to find another hotel.
Mike T — Google review
We had a wonderful stay at SpringHill Suites Spokane Airport. Check-in was quick and smooth, making everything easy from the start. The location is perfect—right next to the airport but still quiet and comfortable. In the evening, we enjoyed relaxing at the bar, and in the morning, the warm, simple breakfast was just what we needed before our flight. The room was clean and spacious, and overall, it’s a super convenient and comfortable place to stay near the airport.
John W — Google review
Initial location- good, right by the airport, don't even need a car. Service- great, people are friendly, rooms are clean and mostly functional. Actual location- bad. Not near anything. Nothing. Nada. Not walking to anything; and if you do have a car you need to maneuver through airport terminal parking every single time. Overnight stays are great but anything longer than that is a no go.

Bed & breakfast
Nestled in a charming historic district, the 1899 House Bed & Breakfast is a delightful retreat that combines modern comfort with classic elegance. Designed by architect Loren Rand, this unique B&B features two luxurious rental suites equipped with central air conditioning and heating, ensuring a cozy stay year-round. Guests can easily stroll to downtown Spokane, where an array of shops and restaurants await exploration.
Absolutely a wonderful place to stay in Spokane! The owner and hostess Gillian is extremely helpful and provides a superb accommodation. After a day of business or sightseeing, you can relax on the porch for a while and then stroll through the historic neighborhood to a cafe, pub, or restaurant.
Guy M — Google review
You can tell Gillian has been doing this a while and knows how to make her guests happy to be here. My once skeptical husband now gets why staying at B&B’s instead of motels is such a better idea thanks to her and this house. It looks just like the photos inside and out. If this is your first time looking into staying at a B&B instead of a motel, this would be a good one for you to try. Because of COVID they gave out gift cards to Frank’s diner 2 blocks away for breakfast. We loved it. An authentic old railroad dining car serving amazing food. Will definitely be staying here every time we’re in Spokane.
Sara C — Google review
Lovely place in a terrific location to visit Spokane. Excellent restaurants are within walking (2 blocks!) The hostess, Gillian, is so welcoming and she loves to share the history of the house! Wonderful stay.

The nicest couple operate this superior bed and breakfast. They are amazing cooks serving delicious meals. The rooms are appointed with everything you will need. It is located in a historic district full of fantastic turn of the century homes and its a safe nice area to take walks. There are pubs like the Elk and other restaurants within a 5 minute walk. I send my highest endorsement of this locally owned and operated B&B.
Matt P — Google review
This historic house was so much better to stay at than a hotel. It's a few blocks from downtown in the quiet Browne's addition neighborhood. We walked and rode bikes all over. The bed was nice and comfy. We got nice chocolates and local cherries as gifts in our rooms. The hosts are so nice. Breakfast was full of choices. Yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, croissant, quiche. I would gladly stay here again.
Rob B — Google review
This is our second visit to the 1899 House. Gillian and Louie are wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome in their home. The Dora Suite is delightful and comfortable, and held a few surprises such as a bag of local coffee beans and chocolates. Gillian's homemade breakfast was delicious. The Browne's Addition neighborhood is lovely, with many gorgeous Victorian homes, as well as a few terrific restaurants. Will certainly stay there on our next visit to Spokane.
Jane D — Google review
We had a wonderful time here. Snuck away from the kids for a night and relaxed in an extremely comfortable room. Nearby was food, shopping and a lovely walk through Browns Addition in Spokane. Food was great, hosts were lovely, and we marveled at the craftsmanship of the historic home.
Melinda C — Google review
This is an incredible historic house, with decor to match. Gillian was very welcoming, and the suites are very inviting. We enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to our next visit! We highly recommend 1899 House B&B if your coming to the area as its a destination of itself.

Nature & Parks
Riverfront Park, the site of the 1974 World's Fair, is a 100-acre oasis in Spokane that offers a blend of natural beauty and urban attractions. The park features iconic landmarks such as the clock tower, giant wagon, building blocks, and the world fair tent. Families can enjoy picnics by the river and entertainment for kids while taking leisurely walks. A recent addition to the park is the ice ribbon that provides a unique experience around Downtown Spokane.
Iconic, Scenic, and Full of Photo-Worthy Moments – A Must-Visit in Spokane Riverfront Park is a spacious and beautifully designed urban park that offers a wide variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. From unique playgrounds and sculptures to multiple waterfalls, bridges, and scenic photo backdrops, there’s something to explore around every corner. One of our favorite features was the upper waterfall, which offers a dramatic view, especially from the large bridge that makes for the perfect photo opportunity. There are several bridges throughout the park, each offering different angles and perspectives of the falls and river. While some areas have limited shade, the park is ideal for a leisurely stroll, and the natural beauty combined with art installations makes it a must-see for anyone visiting Spokane. The lower waterfalls are smaller but still charming, and the park’s iconic views help capture the essence of the city. Another perk? The shopping mall right next to the park. On a hot day, it was a great place to cool off with full AC, grab a drink, and enjoy its modern, clean design. We especially appreciated the thoughtful lighting fixtures, photo spots, and how open and stylish it felt—definitely not your typical mall layout. Even better, My Fresh Basket—a health-focused grocery store—is conveniently located nearby. It’s a fantastic option if you want to grab fresh, organic food or snacks without eating out, especially for those on the go or watching their diet. With plenty of street parking and mall parking available, Riverfront Park is incredibly accessible and well worth the visit. Whether you’re there for the waterfalls, the photo ops, or just a peaceful walk, this park truly captures the heart of Spokane.
April L — Google review
Riverfront Park is absolutely beautiful — the waterfalls are stunning, and the gondola ride gives you amazing views of the river and city. It’s a perfect spot for walking, relaxing, and taking pictures. The only downside is that there are too many homeless people around, which can make certain areas feel uncomfortable. Other than that, it’s a must-visit for the scenery and attractions.
Ifrat H — Google review
We hung out at Riverfront Park on a Thursday evening and had an awesome time! Rented some Lime scooters and cruised around as the sun was setting — such a pretty time to be there. The park has great views and a really nice atmosphere. I only had a short time to explore, but it seems like there’s a lot more to do, so I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend stopping by or spending an evening here if you’re in Spokane!
Marshall C — Google review
Riverside Park has been great to visit every time we’ve gone. Even though there are people living on the streets downtown, the city has done a really good job keeping the park itself feeling safe and welcoming for visitors and kids — which is so appreciated these days. The park is always clean, beautifully maintained, and full of fun things to do: walking paths, open green spaces, water views, playgrounds, and plenty of spots to explore. It’s lively without feeling crowded, and we’ve consistently had positive experiences here. A wonderful place to spend an afternoon as a family.
Savanah E — Google review
The park is a lively and picturesque destination, brimming with a variety of activities, captivating artwork, and meticulously maintained gardens and pathways that showcase breathtaking views of the landscapes and waterfalls. Security is readily available for your peace of mind. However, be aware that parking near the park is limited, with fees starting at $5.

This is a great spot to check out in the middle of the city. Nice easy walking. Lots of stuff to see for everyone of all ages. History about the city. Play ground for kids. Water fountain to cool off by. Large out door cable structure, music venue Old vintage bridges over the amazing, multiple level falls on the river. A must see

Beautiful Park! Thoroughly enjoyed walking through and taking in all the beautiful scenery. Very clean and well maintained. So much to see and do. Fun for kids! Our kids loved the unique playground and red wagon slide. Keep your eye out for yellow bellied marmots on the rocky areas near the river. They are so cute!

The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture, affectionately known as the MAC, is a vibrant hub that beautifully intertwines regional history with art and culture. This eclectic museum offers visitors an immersive experience through its diverse permanent collection, which features textiles, paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures. The MAC not only highlights the rich heritage of American Indians but also embraces contemporary creativity with rotating exhibitions and traveling displays across its five galleries.
The staff here are always very friendly and helpful. The samurai exhibit was amazing and the Campbell house was set up beautifully. I can’t wait to go back! Also tickets were very affordable and I believe kids get in for free.

The museum is much more expansive than it seems from the outside, featuring three levels in the main building, a charming art gallery, and the historic Campbell house along with its carriage house. The exhibits are thoughtfully arranged and brilliantly lit, weaving together captivating narratives of history, culture, and change. If you find yourself in Spokane, this is an absolute must-visit! You certainly won’t be disappointed, and the admission fee is quite reasonable at just $15 for adults.
Justin B — Google review
For years "The MAC" has been a place my family and I have enjoyed visiting periodically and they never cease to disappoint. With the newest addition to our family, my wife and I took advantage of the Bank of America Museum days offer and ventured to the latest showcase. It was just so beautifully done and incredibly unique learning about the indigenous origin stories of a First Nations group in British Columbia. The art was superb and story telling very involved and thoughtfully showcased. It's a peaceful museum that regularly has exhibits suitable for the family. We toured the Campbell House while we were at it and love how well they have restored and preserved the history of Spokane and it's architecture. It's certainly worth a visit any day any time of the year and we'll continue to come for years.
David ( — Google review
Definitely do some research about what’s on display before you go and check for any other closures. We visited earlier in 2025 and the basement of the Campbell House was closed for repair and they were in the middle of redoing one of the main exhibits in the museum. We were offered a rain check to come back for the Campbell House but not the main museum. Word of warning-the rain checks are printed on receipt paper and are heat sensitive. I kept it in the car so we would have it when we returned but after hot Spokane summers, the paper had just turned black. Also, the Campbell House doesn’t open at the same time as the museum so if you want to see both, check the hours ahead of time. We did go back this past weekend and were able to see everything we missed the first time around. They do a great job of showcasing everything.
Tricia M — Google review
I really enjoyed discovering this gem of a museum while exploring Spokane. There are some nice permanent exhibits they chronicle the local indigenous peoples. In addition, the museum produces high-quality traveling exhibits like the Samurai and photography exhibits on display when I visited.
