Yards Bruncheon is a popular daytime eatery located in Kendall Yards, Spokane. The airy, retro-themed space on Summit Parkway offers clever breakfast plates and sandwiches. It's a great spot for out-of-towners to grab breakfast before taking a walk along the beautiful Spokane River on the Centennial Trail. The restaurant's interior features black-and-white tiled floors, aquamarine-colored walls, and mid-century modern-inspired furniture.
The Yard Bruncheon is a fantastic spot for breakfast and lunch in Kendall Yards. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the tone for a delightful meal. I started with their toasted banana bread, which was the perfect blend of sweet and savory—a wonderful way to kick off the meal. The eggs Benedict were absolutely delicious, with perfectly poached eggs and a creamy hollandaise sauce that elevated the dish. Their hot chocolate was a standout as well, rich and indulgent, making it an ideal pairing for a chilly morning. The service was impressively fast and attentive, ensuring everything arrived promptly and as expected. The restaurant truly feels like a gem in the neighborhood, offering a welcoming ambiance and exceptional food. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Yard Bruncheon is a must-visit destination. I’m thrilled to see this great addition to Kendall Yards and can’t wait to return!

Amazing brunch experience. Was recommended this place by a friend, since we are from out of town. Customer service was very welcoming, and the food was spectacular. Wish I could have bought some of the in house jam, cause it was so fresh and exciting with flavor. Love goes into the food here. Also thank you to our server Sarah, you 6 years of experience definitely made our experience dining in amazing. Get the Shirmp and Grits and full breakfast, it won't disappoint. Will be back again!!

The menu had tempting descriptions so it was too hard to choose, I ordered TWO meals (dutch babies and pancakes) and took most of the second one home with us. My son said his food was great as well. There is definitely a 50s diner feel to the place, which we liked. The only less-than-complimentary comment I have is that it is always hard for us to find parking in Kendall Yards.
Jessica M — Google review
Friendly spot on Kendall Yards! I had the eggs Benedict which was decent. My friend said the chicken and waffles were awesome! Loved the diner vibe and the service was prompt and friendly!
Nicole H — Google review
Staff wasn’t very friendly. Our server was SO quiet. I felt bad having to keep saying, “I’m sorry, what was that?” We were also brought dirty water cups with coffee grounds in the bottom of them. No big deal, they took them back and gave us new water. The chai tea was pretty flavorless. Only “chai flavor” came from the cinnamon on top. Kinda disappointing. And the espresso martini (which was brought out in a wine glass, we got a kick out of that!) was the same. Pretty bland and was basically lukewarm. The food was good though! The deviled eggs were nice. The syrup and bacon combined with the eggs were actually pretty good. We tried the Eggs Benedict. The eggs were great! Cooked perfectly. Potatoes were a little lackluster. We also got the Green Goddess Eggs Benedict and substituted the hollandaise sauce for the house gravy and it was really good! The restaurant itself was kind of loud. Hard to have a decent conversation, but overall it was alright. Maybe next time I’ll just order takeout.

Walked in, greeted & Sat at a cute lil clean table for 2. Menus were easy to read & thickly laminated. Waiter Gavin took a little longer to get to us which they were kinda busy, but he was lovely. Knew the menu well. We placed our orders (wife was kinda upset they were out of shrimp of the shrimp 🍤 and grits). Kitchen was prompt and fairly quick to get items out. We enjoyed our experience and will be back...

Your money goes a long way here. Everything is amazing, I’m incredibly impressed by how good the food is and how much effort they put in to make a simple dish better. The yogurt, green goddess Benedict, carrot soup, and avocado toast were amazing. Everyone was so friendly and service was perfect. The chefs also clearly know what they’re doing. Thanks for the awesome food!

Nice brunch stop. The food is great and good portion sizes. I recommend the brunch bowl, if you like rice. Service was good, atmosphere was nice.

Bruncheonette is a trendy breakfast and lunch spot located on West Broadway Avenue in downtown Spokane. The menu offers creative twists on classic brunch dishes, accompanied by a selection of coffee and cocktails. One of their popular dishes is the three pieces of fried chicken served with a scratch-made cinnamon-brown-sugar waffle, featuring boneless chicken dipped in buttermilk and coated with a secret blend of wheat-free flours and spices for extra crispiness.
I seldom write reviews, but today’s experience warranted a review. After mass, my son and I Google searched a place to have breakfast at. This place came up, and I recalled a coworker recommending it around Christmas time, so we decided to go! The service was quick and friendly! I had the Verde Hash and my son had the Country Fried Steak! Oh-Em-Gee!!! That hash was phenomenal! The medley of different potatoes and the deep flavors in each of the components of this meal were amazing! My son loved his food as well, noting how crispy his chicken was. When I got the check I was surprised to see that it was quite small! We had enough food to take home and tip included, we paid right at $55! We will definitely be back! One of our new favorite spots! 10/10 recommend.

Walked in and sat immediately. Serena took out drink order & they came out quickly... Made some additional accommodations to help me with my health choices upon ordering the entrees. Food came out in a reasonable time, it was fresh and hot. My French toasts whip cream hadn't even started to melt yet so perfection. Love the visit we shall be back...

I am a very picky eater. Every restaurant I’ve eaten at has never capture my attention until now. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. Grits & shrimp - 10/10 Cinnamon French toast waffle - 8/10 Smoked Brisket Hash - 10/10 Bacon Sticky Bun - 8/10

Hands down our favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Spokane. It’s walk-in only but worth the wait on weekends. Everything we’ve had, including their rotating monthly seasonal items, has been delicious. Plus, great options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets!
Bri K — Google review
I love everything I've tried here at Bruncheonette! A foodie friend of mine, who hails from the Southern USA, says their Shrimp & Grits are fantastic - and that's saying something coming from a southerner! My last visit I had the Tamale Waffle and it was wonderful. I tend to go with mostly savory dishes here, but often get their Bacon Sticky Bun as a sweet appetizer. They make a limited number of these each day, so don't be surprised if they run out toward the end of the day. Coffee is wonderful (I really enjoy their French Press Carafe) and I'm told by my friends who drink that their cocktails are very good. All around, one of the best brunch places in the Spokane area.
Robert S — Google review
Our server was so kind and attentive, had great recommendations for the brisket hash which was amazing, the biscuits and chorizo gravy was incredible also. Very comfortable and welcoming environment! Will definitely be stopping in again!

This place is awesome! We had a fantastic time before hopping on our flight and the food is large enough to share.

This was a wonderful find while visiting Spokane. Vivian was a great server and recommended the tamale waffle… it was fabulously delicious. If you’re ever in town, I highly recommend trying Bruncheonette!

Chaps Diner and Bakery in Spokane is a popular spot tucked away in the Latah neighborhood, offering generous portions of modern American comfort food. The eclectic farmhouse ambiance is adorned with vintage knickknacks, sparkly chandeliers, and antique cake stands. This cozy cafe and bakery serves up hearty dishes like custard-style baked oatmeal, omelets, French toast variations, and an array of pastries.
One of my top places to visit whenever I’m in the area. Never been disappointed. Every time I come here it’s been amazing food and service. The Monte Cristo and the Chick and Waffles are my two favorite dishes. The atmosphere is very unique with lots of antique decor with lots of outdoor plants.
Atabey A — Google review
Outstanding food quality, elevated breakfast favorites here in a casual and comfortable setting with ample indoor and outdoor seating and friendly, efficient service. Oh yeah and the cappuccino is on point! I love this place! Get in line at the counter to order. They assign you a table number as you're waiting in line. Order. Head to your table and they bring everything to you. Get there early if you can because this place gets busy. I had the best eggs Benedict I've ever tasted. Every detail perfect. The fresh baked English muffin, the decadent hollandaise sauce, perfectly poached eggs, and high quality ham all worked in harmony to create eggs Benny bliss! Kudos to the kitchen! And the Maple Pecan Scone I tasted was excellent.

If you don’t mind throwing down for the ultimate brunch experience, this is certainly your place. Tucked right off the Pullman highway just a few minutes from downtown Spokane, this location knows their brunch. When you enter, you get a whiff of fresh baked goods and a large open commercial kitchen that showcases their pastry creations of the day. While the line can be a bit long on weekends, they have created a seamless system where you order your meal at the front register and get a pastry right away while you go find a table and wait for your drinks and meal. Savory or sweet, they have it on the menu. I had their matcha latte and eggs florentine, with a chocolate croissant and couple pastries for the road. The food is entirely reasonable for the large portions you get. Flavors were sensational and absolutely satisfying. If you want to kick your morning up a knotch from the standard espresso, they have Irish coffees, Bloody Mary’s and Spiced Russians. This place knows how to do it right!
Savannah M — Google review
Had a friend recommend this place and it did NOT disappoint! Walking in I was welcomed with the most charming patio and cozy vibe indoor. Every single staff member was chatty, happy and seemed in great spirits! We sat and maybe waited for what felt like five minutes and then our food came out. As if it couldn’t get any better the food and latte knocked it out of the park! 10/10 recommend! You can feel the love that goes into this place! We will be back!
Lauren T — Google review
Stopped in for dinner, got the pork chop fritter, the Yukon gold potatoes were amazing. The server was stretched pretty thin but did great. The vibe is eclectic, prices are reasonable. Beautiful outdoor patio for nice weather.
Trypp A — Google review
The food and coffee were good, felt like the portions were generous. You walk up at the front to order and then sit down, so we didn't have a server checking in. We were sat in the back by the window and unfortunately we were being swarmed by flies. It was even hard to shoo the flies away, flies got in my food and my husband had to pick some out because they were so stubborn and everywhere. Definitely an appetite-killer. Due to the lack of service, we let staff know afterwards, I don't know if anything was done.
Louise G — Google review
Their eggs flourentine is the best I've ever had. It was very savory, I highly recommend it. The atmosphere & service was also very nice. We had to come back a second time before the end of our trip because we loved it.
KrDizzy — Google review
This beautiful hidden little gem is absolutely a must go-to. Its bot as little as it appears though. Its so big and so much to see when you walk through the garden entry. And rustic in such a pretty way. The portions on the food, WOW!!!!!!! I have to go back and explore more!

Old European is a popular daytime eatery in Spokane, known for its wide selection of savory European dishes and pastries served in a casual dining atmosphere. The breakfast menu is particularly impressive, featuring a variety of options such as crepes, potato pancakes, waffles, Danish aebelskivers, and traditional Dutch pancake balls in different flavors. The blueberry aebelskivers are highlighted for their center crater loaded with berries and are perfect for dipping in sweet boysenberry whip cream.
I was Visiting Spokane and my friend suggested this. We are so glad that we came here for breakfast. The fresh orange juice is phenomenal. The breakfast and service is top notch even though it was crowded in a weekday morning. The strawberry crepe is must try.
Sabiha F — Google review
We love the food here. Nothing has been bad. We've been more than a dozen times. Today our server was a man who was on point and excellent. Everything is quick, family friendly, generous portions. We rated a 4 instead of 5 as my family and friends have experienced a server that works on weekends that is less than friendly and makes us feel like she doesn't want to be there but we have gotten her several times and it always puts everyone off. . Our experience is less than when she is our server when it happens but the food is always wonderful no matter what. Atmosphere is always busy and prepare to wait but it's worth it! ❤️ Ableskiebers are always a hit!
Larie B — Google review
We went in for a later breakfast with a party of 6 on a Sunday. We waited about 25-30 minutes for a table and the service was phenomenal! This place is our new go-to for bug friend group breakfast. You can get many traditional American style breakfast foods as well as many amazing European delights! The food came out quick, the portions were very generous, and everything was amazing - full 10/10. We will definitely be back again!
James W — Google review
This was our first dining experience here. The food was absolutely delicious! My daughter got the Belgian waffle with bananas, my husband got the country fried steak, the gravy was delicious and his eggs were cooked perfectly (he's very picky about his eggs), and I got the traditional goulash which was to die for. Next time I'm definitely putting the country gravy on it! We will be back!

This place serves amazing food! The Frankfurt style German pancakes with sausage I my favorite. Pairs great with the Bloody Mary.

Ate in the cafe diner part. Only problem was the ice tea was not quite right. But a cheesesteak was really good, the patty melt was amazing and super large pancakes. This is diner food. You can feel the history in the room on the tables on the floor or it may have been grease. Server was fantastic. Just very welcoming and enjoyable.

Service was fast and friendly, food was good. I tried the lasagna soup and a Reuben sandwich. My wife got the club with fries. I thought the soup was great and the Reuben was decent. It needed more thousand island dressing, but I was able to ask for more. My wife said her club “hit the spot.” Definitely will come back when we are in town and are looking for a late night dinner.
Erin W — Google review
We love this place. The coffee is delicious and the service is always good, the food was fresh and well prepared. There was just one thing that was disappointing. The vegetarian scramble had bacon in it. Most people who order vegetarian do so for a purpose of having no meat, and some because they don’t eat pork, which happens to be in most breakfast food. Needless to say we didn’t eat the food beyond the discovery and we aren’t drama so we didn’t mention this to the wait staff. Most importantly, we want to bring awareness, so hopefully this is paid better attention to.
Jledouxable — Google review
We decided to try this place for breakfast after reading reviews and talking with locals. Wowza! They didn't disappoint! The service was phenomenal! Our guy was so friendly, we bantered back and forth, he just was awesome. The food was stellar! Big portions! Flavor was on point. We travel quite a bit to Spokane for work. Satellite will now be our go-to for breakfast!!

Great food (rueben burger and the satellite burger with beer batter fries) and outstanding atmosphere! The employees here r AWESOME!! This is a spot I would recommend to others and I myself will continue to come and enjoy this environment... KEEP UP THE GREAT HARD WORK!!!

A NEW FAVORITE!!! How can you NOT be swept off your feet by a diner that continually plays 90's pop classics in the ultimate Americana atmosphere with the COOLEST staff serving all those "bad" things we "shouldn't" eat that will piss off the "avocado toast" and "hummus"-eating crowd? Lol. I love this place! So glad I found it! Great for early morning after the bar OR after waking up. I ordered German sausage on the side and the "Hot Mess" which was hash browns with eggs over easy, bacon, mushrooms and fried onions with gravy...Soooo Gooood!! I had the Prickly Pear "MEGAmosa" as my drink.

Outstanding service! Felt the good vibes as we were walking up. The staff here are all on same page and are eager to delight anyone that walks in. Classic diner breakfast food all cooked to perfection. Bloody Mary was 🔥

Out of staters just grabbing a bite to eat on our way back home. Our server was Dayna M. She got a table cleared for us right away. She got our drinks out fast, got our food out fast and was super sweet! We will be returning when we got back through. Hats off to the chefs as well, super yummy food and the coffee was amazing! Thank you all, keep it up!!!

O.M.G. We were so hungry during our roadtrip when we rolled into Spokane. I found this place & knew it would be amazing. The menu was exceptional. We split the Hungry Man’s Breakfast… It hit the spot. The cinnamon roll toast with huckleberries & salted butter was out of this world. Tried the kombucha: yummy! We also got a carafe of fresh OJ & a wonderful cold brew to go. Absolutely magnificent! No wonder friends have been coming here for so long. Also, we were impressed with the Gonzaga Bulldogs collection!
Liza P — Google review
When searching the Internet, I found the Kalico kitchen information. There were two menus circling around on the Internet, and both of them were absolutely false when it came to the amount of money you would have to spend at this establishment. When we got there, we had one idea of how much we were about to spend in mind and once we were there and received our food the price was over-the-top extremely expensive for basic breakfast. For three glasses of orange juice alone we ended up paying $25.50 OMG 😱 See the receipt below. Their prices are way too high, but they are obviously a pretty decent place to go because the place was packed with people standing room only. One note of comparison of two restaurants: I spent $70 at. Zullee’s and it fed four people I spent $66 and it only fed two people at the Kalico kitchen. If you are on a shoestring budget, I do not suggest going to eat here way too expensive. The service was excellent though. Even though our server was quite busy, she managed to come by several times to check on us.
Short-N-Sweet — Google review
This is currently what Denny's and IHOP were in your past. Classic American diner, peppy servers, families, etc. Any place with a wait time at 8:30 on a Sunday morning is like that for a reason, and Kalico Kitchen earned it. Recommend the mexi scramble and cinnamon roll french toast. Will come again!
Nolan C — Google review
Wow! They were very busy but we got seated in a very reasonable amount of time. Had a very friendly server at our table promptly. Our order came out fresh and hot in the fastest time I've ever experienced in a restaurant. The orange juice is fresh squeezed, my scramble had generous amounts of toppings and they kept the drinks refilled. We were five adults and an infant. Excellent experience we will definitely be back.
CMD — Google review
I enjoyed our breakfast here. The food is standard, nothing fancy. I did like the home fries with my meal. The place was packed, so service was sporadic, but in all fairness good, considering how hard they were working to keep up with the huge crowd. I waited about 20 minutes on a Sunday around 10 am. When we were leaving, there were people waiting everywhere to be seated, so they must be doing something right! I will definitely be back.

I was their first customer and have loved it from the start. Charlie and the crew do a fabulous job and the service is stupendous. If you go off there early bird special they have some really good prices. I also love their Reese's waffle.

I got the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce wasn’t my favorite. The food was mediocre. I have tried it a few times with different things and was never too impressed. There are lots of other places closer that are way better.

Boots Bakery & Lounge is a vibrant and funky vegan eatery located in the historic Longbotham building. Founded by Alison Collins in 2012, this eclectic spot offers a variety of premade vegan and gluten-free dishes, baked goods, espresso drinks, and handcrafted cocktails. The cafe's beautiful space features exposed brick walls, lofty ceilings, and local artwork, creating a lively atmosphere for guests to enjoy.
The kindest humans, the most delicious pumpkin waffles, and the hippest spot in downtown. Don't walk, run to Boots. They have a little something for everyone but everything is plant-based. I've been for brunch and had their famous pumpkin waffles with chai butter (just do it) and tofu scramble, for lunch for a smattering of sides, and snagged several dessert from pastries to cookies to cakes! Again, they do it all and more importantly, they do it well. They're located in the Saranac Commons so you can also support the brewery, pizzeria and coffee shop located within the same food hall while you're there. And if you're lucky, there will be dogs - or bring your own!

What a find. I love this place. The food was unique an incredibly delicious. The owner was friendly and a great soul. If I lived here this would be my go-to breakfast spot.

This place is an absolute gem! It’s rare when the vibe, food, and service are all perfect. The triple threat 😎 The service was nothing short of AMAZING—Jess went above and beyond and truly treated us like royalty. She was so knowledgeable and gave fantastic recommendations for food combinations that worked perfectly together. The menu is a dream come true: 100% gluten-free, vegan, and absolutely delicious! Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. It’s rare to find a place that caters so thoughtfully to dietary needs without ever compromising on taste. Jess made the experience unforgettable—warm, welcoming, and attentive. As we kept saying all evening, “Jess is the best!” 🥰

Friendly staff and owner. Owner was super attentive to her customers experience and satisfaction. I tried their hash mix side you must try. It was gone before I was able to capture a picture. I tried their famous pumpkin pancake. Delicious… it’s sweet but has a nice cinnamon spice to it.

Amazing selection and service. Great tasting alt foods for those of us with food sensitivity. Delicious croquette! It’s the first thing I mowed down when I got back to my car!! 😁 The ginger cookie is next… with the above average coffee.

What a place!!!! Truly a vegan paradise! It starts with the most friendly and delightful staff that are ready to answer questions about the plethora of items they have in their menu. We ordered the banana buckwheat pancakes and they are so good and very generous servings. Also we had Mac n cheese, potato croquette and biscuits and gravy and they were nothing but scrumptious. Definitely we found our favorite place in Spokane!!!

Love love love LOVE Boots! I’ve had celiac disease my entire life and it’s so nice having good food close by, priced well, and not feeling awkward about asking a million questions about ingredients or cross contamination procedures. My favorite dish that I’ve ever eaten here was the hamburger Mac and Cheese. It was so good and tasted so much like hamburger, I forgot it was vegan! I’m a little sad that I haven’t seen it in the display for a while, but I love seeing all the new dishes with the knowledge that I have never been disappointed!

I have eaten here since May, I'm visiting in town from Oregon. Everything is outstanding, especially their steel cut oats. They perfect everytime but they run out quickly... Get there early! I love this place and highly recommend it for your breakfast and coffee needs and lunch! Tasty bakery items and all is delicious 😋 Give Maple St. Bistro a try, you won't be disappointed!

I stopped in for breakfast. The food was unimpressive but good- I ordered a veggie burrito and cappuccino. I wished my burrito was warmer so it would feel less like freezer pieces assembled. The cappuccino was great. Overall, it was a cute place, but unimpressive. I ordered for there but they didn’t have real dishes, just a disposable cup and plastic basket for my food. The whole deal cost ~$17. I would come again but not regularly, and I’d stick to coffee in the future.

This café is an absolute gem. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by some of the kindest, most genuine staff you’ll ever meet. They’re always welcoming, patient, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed—perfect whether you’re meeting a friend, getting some work done, or just grabbing a quiet cup of coffee. Speaking of coffee, it’s consistently excellent. From rich espressos to smooth lattes and creative seasonal specials, every drink is crafted with care and quality you can taste. The food here is just as impressive. The pastries are fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with attention to detail—there’s always something new and tempting to try. But the real standout for me is the paninis. They’re perfectly toasted, packed with quality ingredients, and absolutely delicious. Every bite is satisfying without being too heavy, making them a perfect choice for lunch or a filling snack. It’s rare to find a spot that balances great service, amazing coffee, and consistently delicious food, but this café truly delivers on all fronts.

Maple Street Bistro — 6/10 but with huge potential Let me start with this: the vibe here is immaculate. Aesthetic? 10/10. From the cozy layout to the adorable “blind date with a book” setup and the display of local jewelry, Maple Street Bistro gives off the warm, artsy small-town charm I live for. The space felt clean, inviting, and really well thought out. It’s the kind of place that should feel like a hug with caffeine. We showed up about 15 minutes after opening, and while we weren’t greeted, we chalked it up to the two baristas looking busy and another deep in the middle of an order. Totally understandable! Early morning hustle is real. It wasn’t busy as there was only one other customer in house and maybe one person came through the drive thru while we spent 25 min in house. We got our drink and food pretty quick. We ordered: • A 24oz iced white chocolate mocha • The Breakfast Club on an everything bagel • ½ chicken pesto sandwich Paid about $36 plus tip. The mocha, sadly, wasn’t my favorite. The espresso had a bitter burnt edge (weird for that early), and the white chocolate used had a flavor I can only describe as “laboratory chic.” Not the worst thing I’ve had, but definitely wouldn’t write a love letter about it. The bagel sandwich, however? Perfection. 10/10. A breakfast queen. Would return just for that. The chicken pesto started strong but hit a soggy patch in the middle. It was giving “pesto soup” toward the end, which was disappointing because the flavor combo was solid. Now, I’m from the Midwest, so maybe I’m just used to everyone treating you like a long-lost cousin at a family reunion, but the customer service was a bit meh. Nothing awful, just not super warm. When we went to ask for a to-go container, we waited a bit while the staff finished their convo which totally don’t mind but when the blonde cashier/barista helped us, she gave us a solid eye-roll with a lip snarl that felt like we asked for her firstborn instead of a box. Oop. All that said: this place has MAJOR potential . It’s beautiful, the concept is on point, and with just a few tweaks to hospitality and quality consistency, it could easily be a go-to spot. I want to root for this place, and I hope to come back and give it another shot soon, especially for that bagel!

Jasmine is absolutely the sweetest and made the best breakfast sandwiches. She was quick and prompt and even offered to make me a new coffee since my coffee at another stand wasn’t that good :,) So nice!!! 10/10 recommend.

The popular cafe Cottage Cafe is a classic old-school American diner with delicious breakfast and lunch fare. Specialties include the Signature Scramble with bacon, ham, and sausage, as well as gooey cinnamon rolls. There's ample seating outdoors for customers who want to enjoy their meals in the sun.
Wow! Our first time here, and we're so glad we came. This is a really cute local cafe. The food and service were excellent. We had huge omelettes and their giant cinnamon rolls. And the homemade jam for the toast! Delicious, don't miss it! Everything was delicious! We were stuffed and very happy. It's so popular, and seating is limited, so expect a wait ( I couldn't remember if they take reservations), so plan ahead. But it is well worth it. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Cottage Cafe!!

Best place around for breakfast. And I spent a week at several spots in Spokane valley looking for better. Couldn't find a better breakfast. Hashbrowns done really, really well. Sausage was delish and the eggs cooked just right. Professional service from wait staff (cute too!). Notice the homemade strawberry jelly in the background? A nice touch. Thank you!

Wait was about 30 minutes and the place is pretty small however the food was out within 10 minutes and service + food was amazing! We got the country fried steak and an omelette and it was so good! Also, the mimosas come in 16 or 32oz; I couldn’t finish it so I wish they had an 8oz option but still so good. Will be back :)

Love this place. Have been here a few times when visiting. The cottage fries are delicious if a bit on the salty side. Have been told the bacon is also a bit too salty. But otherwise very good. Great portions. Unfortunately right now they don’t have listed pricing on their menu because of constant food inflation. Not their fault really. They are always busy so expect a wait.

I totally get why this place is so popular! The food is incredible, and everything was just perfect. The only minor downside is the wait time, but it’s absolutely worth it.
Hanna K — Google review
If you love breakfast, you will love Cottage Cafe! Truly worth the wait on a busy Saturday morning. My favorite food to get here is the gravy with a side of toast and chowing down the house made strawberry jam with toast. I will not lie when I say the gravy and jam here are the main things I eat. My family loves almost every dish here besides the ones we haven’t tried yet which is surely soon to be eaten and loved. But seriously, if you love biscuits and gravy but especially gravy, please try Cottage Cafe! Yes, I did only get toast with a side of gravy so I could dip my toast as well as enjoy it with strawberry jam. Nothing beats this in my mind.

This place is so good!! We had never been here before and we're headed to the airport but wanted to stop somewhere for breakfast..seriously the portions were big and the flavor was was really good. We are picky eaters and the cottage cafe nailed it. We will be back
Daryl S — Google review
Rolled into the Cottage Cafe for breakfast and left needing a nap and possibly a wheelbarrow. Ordered the King’s Omelet—a six-egger. Yeah, six eggs. That’s basically a dozen if you squint hard enough. I told them to hold the green peppers (because green peppers are evil) and swap in mushrooms instead. Most places would charge you a “mushroom handling fee,” but not here. Nope. Free swap. Legend status unlocked. Then came the tough question: hash browns or Cottage fries? I asked which one was better, and the waitress hits me with, “You can do half and half.” Wait—what? Both? No upcharge? Am I being pranked by the Breakfast Fairy? Sold. The homemade strawberry jam (or “Jane,” as my fat fingers texted it) was next-level on my sourdough toast. The omelet itself was enormous—like, should-come-with-a-safety-briefing enormous—and ridiculously good. I also got a side of sausage gravy—finally something they actually charged for—and holy smokes, that gravy turned into the MVP of the meal. Dumped it on my hash browns, fries, even the omelet. Zero regrets. Ten out of ten arteries agree. We sat at the counter, vibed to some old-school rap (shout-out to whoever put that playlist on), and watched the cooks crank out food like breakfast superheroes. The place was busy, spotless, and running smoother than a Waffle House on Red Bull. Bottom line: killer food, great people, clean spot, zero attitude. I’ll be back for round two—and yes, I’m ordering both kinds of potatoes again, because that’s who I am now.

Very busy place. If you're in a hurry this may not be the place for you. We were in downtown Spokane for a show and by the time we got our food we had to scarf it down very quickly. You stand in line to order and the line was out the door - of course this means it's good. Lots of yummy baked goods, great coffee options, and lots of other choices. We had the reuben which comes with some fried potatoes. They were very tasty. Would go here again when not in a time crunch. I highly recommend trying it! Luna is a chic cafe in Spokane, WA, known for its area-sourced New American cuisine and extensive wine list. The restaurant offers a charming ambiance with marble-topped tables and terrace seating. Established in 1992, Luna has become a popular fine-dining destination, serving Pacific Northwest- and Mediterranean-inspired dishes made from fresh, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant's owners are dedicated to creating scratch-made fare that reflects their passion for quality dining experiences.
We had an excellent dinner here! We had an early dinner reservation where we were greeted, sat, and had recommendations for drinks within minutes. Our wait person was awesome and had fantastic recommendations for our meal, and spaced out each course nicely so there was no rush but also no waiting. The food itself was incredible, everything perfectly done. It was a nice leisurely evening with lovely ambience. The only negative issue I can think of was the parking. It is a small lot and we were fine on arrival, however it was really difficult to get out because someone parked behind us and three other cars were trying to snag our spot. A slight trouble which is worth the service and food!

On Friday July 18, 2025, my mother and I went to lunch at Clark’s Fork. This was our first time there and will not be the last! We were warmly greeted when we walked in, the restaurant was moderately busy but not too noisy or crowded at all. Clean and very inviting, it feels like home when you walk in. As we were looking over the menu, a platter-sized cinnamon roll with a candle was being prepared by one of the ladies working the front of the house, a group who get together there weekly was celebrating a birthday and it was a surprise for them. I joked “is that for her (my mom)" as her birthday is the following week. We ordered our food and sat down, within 5 minutes we had mom’s Clark’s Club (minus avocado) and my French dip. Then they surprised us both with a cinnamon roll and a purple candle, the two female servers and myself sang happy birthday to mom! As we began to eat, I was critiquing my food, the bread was soft and soaked up the perfectly flavored au jus. The house made chips are worth just ordering by themselves and that dough on the cinnamon roll was sweet, airy and perfectly baked. I would put money down by stating that cinnamon roll beats Cinnabon way outta the park, it’s divine! The huge cookies we saved for later are made from scratch (sharpie marker for size reference) and felt so soft, they did not disappoint. Mom’s critique on her sandwich and chips “superb!” The kindness shown to us really went above and beyond. I thanked them for making my mom feel so special, and made sure they knew that everything was so delicious!

She heard me order a scotchroo and came to tell me, she's just pouring the chocolate and will have the freshest one for me by the time I was done with me salad. The salad bar is by far has the most variety I have been to. Very well maintained and clean, they even provide gloves! The menu is really clean, with a great variety. Cinnamon roll French toast, hefty breakfast burritos, burgers, sandwiches, grilled salmon, soups, cookies, coffee, bagles.

When breakfast spot we planned on was closed (tricky Tuesdays), my little kids and I were starving, under caffeinated and losing it. Clark’s Fork came up as closest on the map, and I was just going to grab and go, but the when the woman taking my order heard kids were in the car with husband, she told me to bring them in - there’s a play place! So we did that, and food came out fast and was delicious!!!! Lots of options for kids and adults. Yogurt parfait was delicious and decadent! Scrambled eggs were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Sausage and pancakes all delicious (and huge!) Breakfast sandwiches were great, too.

Bakery
Rocket Bakery is a beloved bakery and coffeehouse that has become a staple in the Spokane area since its inception in 1992. With seven locations spread throughout the city, it offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion. Whether you're on the go with a morning coffee and pastry, catching up with friends over lunch, or settling down to work or study, Rocket Bakery has you covered.
There are so many bakeries and coffee shops out there—but this one is one in a million. From the second we walked in, the barista (Christine) greeted us with a big smile and was so friendly. It felt almost like meeting an old friend who was really excited to see you again. There are tons of fresh baked goods the owners make themselves (wow!) and the coffee is roasted by the owners too. There’s also tons of seating. We got bagels and Christine whipped them up quickly for us, while simultaneously taking care of other customers’ orders and greeting people in line and taking their orders. We were there for an hour and the place was hopping. She was so cheerful and caring towards each customer that came in—even the rude and demanding ones (which isn’t easy!). This is a great place with good coffee and plenty of delicious baked goods—but experiencing this outstanding customer service makes it shine above all the others. We’d love to stop by again next time we’re out here! Christine, you should win an award for most cheerful barista in Washington state!

What a fantastic bakery! Not only was the lady absolutely precious, the coffee and food was scrumptious! I travel a lot with my family and we are always on the hunt for excellent coffee shops with homemade treats and as y’all know it can sometimes be hit or miss but this morning was a HIT!! This was such a treat and was such a great experience! Mainly because of how lovely the lady was and how sweet and chipper she was early in the morning but to top it off the coffee and food was fantastic! I highly recommend and would go back yesterday if I could! ;)

The food is so so, the wait to be served is seriously awful. While I was waiting over 20 minutes to give my order this morning the guy ahead of me gave up and left. The food just isn't really my cup of tea, but the lemon tart was truly awesome. I ordered a slice of lemon tart, a frittata and a mocha drink. The tart came up right away, the fritatta was about 5-7 minutes later, and the drink was also some amount of time. I felt like my entire visit was watching for the separate pieces of my order to appear on the counter top.

Right idea, terrible execution. Great service but, bagel was mealy and flaccid (they were out of cream cheese). Chorizo breakfast wrap was without chorizo, it was just flat squash. No flavor. Espresso was stale and 16oz iced coffee was 2oz of bad coffee and a cup full of ice. Service was good and the place did not feel rushed, but both the food and the coffee were just terrible.

The weather was beautiful. The food was delicious. The crab cake Benedict is the best I’ve ever had. Our waitress Gaby was fantastic. I will definitely be eating here again!

The coffee was excellent! The food tastes as good as it looks! Very unexpected. A+ for presentation. I got to meet the owner Jackson and hear a bit of his story. I am very satisfied and happy with this place. highly recommended if you’re in town!

We don't often visit Spokane, as we live in the greater Puget Sound area, but brunch at House of Brunch was delightful filling and a feast for the eyes as well. We made a reservation, which proved to be beneficial, and although we showed up a bit early, we were promptly seated. We ordered two espresso drinks; the Cure, a matcha based beverage (not actually espresso), and the Forager, a white coffee and 24K gold based beverage. I chose the Cure, and while the matcha flavor was not as strong as what I am personally used to, our server, Becky, remedied that by bringing me a bit more, even tempering it so that my beverage stayed hot. The Forager was delicious as well and we have no notes. 😆 We ordered the Mushroom Tartine, toast with a medley of sautéed mushrooms and pickled chillies, and the Nordic Breakfast which, from time spent in Finland, was incredibly accurate! We felt that the prices were reasonable, and they had a good amount of vegetarian and vegan options that were actually inspired and not just afterthoughts. 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 Service was great (Becky was truly wonderful), every diner seemed genuinely happy to be there, and they were only getting busier as we left. All good signs for us to come back again!

Please make sure you have a reservation if you are planning on going with 2+ people. You MUST try the vegan smoothie (pictured)! I also ordered the Jerry for brunch. I am in town for work by myself so I was seated right away at the bar but I think I am going to go back again tomorrow! The flavor and the quality of the food and ingredients were incredible. This is seriously one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a very LONG time, not to mention the place is so cute and the blonde bartender + staff is so kind!! Highly recommend.

We stopped in for a late brunch around 1:15 pm and were seated right away, even though the place was busy. It was nice to have the option of a booth or bar seating. The staff was friendly, attentive, and ready to serve. The menu had plenty of great options, and our food came out hot and in good time. It was a bit loud inside, but we could still carry on a conversation (just had to lean in a bit!). Overall, we had a really good experience and definitely plan to go back.

I visited this brunch location over a year ago for my husband's birthday. The food and presentation are phenomenal. On my first visit I ordered the avocado toast with lox and caviar. It was incredible. I visited again yesterday. I made a reservation for six family members and myself. They seated us promptly and provided excellent service. Everybody in the group enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

Awesome menu and convenient downtown location, reservations recommended for larger parties, but plenty of bar seating for walk ins. The lavender latte was off the charts as was the chicken and waffles. So many great choices and Liana was an amazing server.

Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar is a delightful upscale chain that brings a chic dining experience to the Pacific Northwest, particularly in Washington state. Known for its diverse menu featuring everything from pizzas and sandwiches to New American entrees, this bistro caters to various tastes while ensuring allergen safety. With gluten-free options crafted with care—thanks in part to the owner's personal connection to celiac disease—guests can indulge without worry.
I went on a date night with my wife to Twigs up north in Spokane and it was great. I've been here a few times, but tonight I wanted to try their ribeye. I discussed the thickness and doneness with the waiter, turned out to be a great choice. About an inch thick, great seasoning, and perfect doneness. The place is very nice and enjoyable. My wife had the black and blue coulett and it was great as well . It was a bit expensive, but worth it and expected from the quality of the food, staff, and atmosphere. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. I'll be back and highly recommend.

The Patio, is definitely the place to eat on a beautiful evening. Salads were amazing. Wait staff was very helpful and attentive. The setting was perfect

This flat bread and salad were absolutely amazing! I had the southern fried chicken salad and I am seriously still dreaming about it. You might be thinking it's just a salad. No what sets this salad apart is the Tabasco vinaigrette. 10/10

One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a twigs. The hosts were nice and fairly quick, but our server completely ignored my boyfriend after I ordered my drink. Halfway through his sentence she interrupted and walked away. It wasn’t until after I ordered that I had to order his drink for him and she continued to only speak to me. Then came the food. I ordered the southwest nachos and it was the saddest plate I’d seen from this restaurant. The nachos did not have any meat like I ordered and NO CHEESE! After I asked about the mistake the server greatly overcompensated for it by giving me a bowl of cheese and pork that looked like they forgot about it on the grill. We just got our check and left after that.

I brought my wife here for an early anniversary dinner. As always they were awesome! Thank you Conner and Nathan for making our night the best! And I highly recommend the Crab Crusted Salmon.

This Twigs Bistro And Martini Bar is good for you to celebrate your birthday, dating with love once, family, friends, and any you like to bring. This restaurants they have a good food to choose, drinks, wine and desserts. They have a patio that you can see the view like pond water and trees. You can reserve your table here if you have a romantic dinner meal. Very classic restaurants. If you have plan to go out somewhere this is the right for you.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. So the first time I went, my dirty martini was amazing and unfortunately this time I had to send it back twice. I'm not sure why but it tasted off. However, I ordered the huckleberry mule and it was so good! The filet was incredible and cooked just right. I forgot our waitresses name but she was very sweet!
Natasha M — Google review
This has been a very good restaurant in the past. The food is still very good, albeit quite pricey. I do not know what the difficulty was tonight, and part of my concern may have been my fault. I made a reservation for 5:00PM and asked for a pond-side table (outside seating). When we arrived at 4:45PM, my wife opted for inside seating. When she did, I asked for a nice table near the window. The hostess said that all of the near-window tables were for large parties, and having eaten at this restaurant before, she was accurate in her response. She then seated us at a small table for two, one seat facing the bar, the other facing outside with a window view. We waited for 15 minutes before a waitress first checked in at our table (we were 15 minutes early). The wine and appetizers were delivered fairly quickly, but we waited another 20 minutes before the waitress took our order for our meal. We waited another 30+ minutes for our dinner to be served. Look... the food was pretty good, but the service was terribly slow. The waitress was polite, but never offered to apologize for the slow service. It was an hour and 50 minutes from arrival to when we left. I have waited for my meal plenty of times, but if a restaurant is going to charge premium prices for good food, the service better match. Also, I do not appreciate being seated in a cramped table for two, when there were six larger tables directly in our vicinity that remained open through our stay! Why can't restaurant managers figure out that the people who come early (with reservations) should be treated better than people who are not even at the restaurant? First come, first-served? Not eating here again. I can get really good food and really good service at plenty of other venues for half the price! QUESTIONS?

This little place is so good and was a great find! We went around 10:00am on a Tuesday (I think) and there was only a couple other parties there. My boyfriend got a scramble and I got a typical basic breakfast. They had gluten free toast that wasn’t the best, but I was happy they had an option. The jam I think is homemade? It’s so good!! Service was absolutely amazing and they were very fast.

Additionally, patrons can enjoy classic dishes such as biscuits and gravy, along with breakfast combinations featuring pancakes, waffles or French toast. The staff impressively takes note of orders using black Sharpies, adding to the restaurant's old-school charm.
What a gem of a restaurant. We stopped in for a tasty breakfast on a Sunday morning and loved every minute of it. The restaurant has not been touched/renovated, literally ever. It has its original charm - the staff were friendly, the food was incredibly fast and so tasty. Can’t wait to go back to this special place .

The Chalet exudes a Leavenworth Bavarian-style vibe, and is unpretentiously charming. I ordered the Salmon Benedict and was surprised that a delicious 7-ounce poached salmon filet was tucked under the Hollandaise sauce. That’s how this place is, easy to underestimate , but if you pay attention, there are gems throughout, like our server, Martha, and an array of locals.

I just love this locally owned and operated diner. Breakfast and lunch served all day with all the traditional diner options. Delicious! And what a lovely group of people who work here as evidenced by it being a popular among local residents. Also love that they employ local high school students. Super kid friendly.

The restaurant is clean and roomy. Compared to other diners I have been to, this restaurant is good, food is just fine in taste, aesthetic and presentation are very nice. However the 4 star represent the one of the item is a little burnt and too crunchy for my taste. But service is great and the server was attentive to our needs. I will come again for sure.

We heard about this place and finally got the chance to visit. We both had paninis. I have to say it is all about the bread! fresh and homemade tasting. I enjoyed the Italian and it was hot and crispy, yet soft somehow and the meats and cheeses were high quality. I ordered a half and regretted not ordering a full sandwich. The side salad had extras and not just plain lettuce. Excellent! I left wanting more. Totally worth the drive to the Audubon District..

I like this place but the baked goods are disappointing! I tried so many times to give it a chance. This time I just cannot let it pass.i got a cookie that cost $3.82 and it taste awful! You can taste the flavor of the refrigerator or freezer where they kept the cookie! Their lattes and smoothies are good but the baked goods they sell are obviously old all the time. Muffins are dry that they are just so crumbly. The ambiance has a comforting feeling, drinks are good, but baked goods are a disappointment and not worth the money! I mean stale and old cookie for $3?!

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed popping in for a quick Italian soda. Only thing I didn't like was the overall flavor of my drink. It felt flat and it kind of took away from the flavors. Other than that it is a super cute coffee shack with an adorable bakery seating tucked in the corner and great staff! Parking was almost nonexistent... but their prices were quite reasonable.

Waffles Plus is a popular diner known for its classic breakfast options. The attentive staff at this local establishment have built relationships with many regular customers. Their French toast and pancakes are highly regarded, boasting exceptional flavor. The generous portion sizes of the dishes may prompt customers to order just one item next time. Additionally, the over easy eggs are expertly cooked to perfection. Although it can get busy during weekday mornings, Waffles Plus manages to maintain a comfortable atmosphere without becoming overcrowded.
Wonderful breakfast cafe with ample parking and great fast service. On a Saturday morning, we were given a table immediately and coffeed up! We ordered eggs with hash browns and they came with a waffle. The four of us were served our plates in about five minutes after ordering. Everything was cooked perfectly and the waffles were delicious. It only cost $11.50 per plate so it was a bargain. They came around at least five times to fill our coffees. A great find and highly recommended for breakfast.

The morning we went in it was extremely busy. We had to wait awhile to be seated and for our order to come. But let me tell you it was worth the wait! Visited for the first time with some local friends who swear by it. The service was top notch!! The pumpkin waffle was amazing but my Philly cheesesteak omelette was pretty bland & wouldn't get that or the "Krab" omelette again. The chicken fried steak was yummy. I kinda liked the thin/runny maple syrup, because it wasn't too heavy and I just used a little bit. Will definitely come back & try different selections.

We eat here fairly regularly, it's one of the better breakfast spots in town. The country fried steak is great and the omelets are also very good. The staff is friendly and attentive. I'd recommend Waffles Plus to anyone looking for a cheap, casual, quick breakfast that is also very delicious.

The 2 times for me and last. Both times I was sent outside with my family, the waitress try the best they can but here is the thing, coffee should be served huh?with the creamer or milk at the same time my coffee got cold by the time the creamer came and I had to ask for it. Coffee was not good absolutely water down coffee taste. The outside patio is to loud you traffic is crazy on the busy street. Nevertheless Never going back.

So worth a visit everyone. Update: 3 years on, new owners. Still fabulous. Travis and Gab and the rest of the team are amazing. Great food. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just moved to the neighborhood and this was the first place we ate at. Wow is all I can say. Gluten free pancakes and waffles!!! Pancakes were so good. The Grain Shed is a unique spot that offers a variety of delicious bread, pastries, and even pizza on Mondays. What sets this place apart is its focus on wheat, an often overlooked ingredient. The brewery sources rare locally grown grains while the bakery uses only stone-ground grains for their products. Their purpose is to create a vibrant food system and connected community through cooperative enterprise.
A must when you're in Spokane! Great food--never had something I didn't like or at least appreciate. I have a gluten sensitivity/allergy and it RARELY acts up here. Their bread is phenomenal, so fresh. Faves: Nelson cookie, chocolate croissant, any loaf of bread, avocado toast, turkey on turkey sandwhich.

OMG. I tried the oat sandwich bread and the red wheat bread — both were amazing. But the absolute star of the show (besides the fantastic service) was the kouign amann. So many bakeries miss the mark with this pastry — it’s often too greasy or too buttery — but this one was perfect. Hands down the best I’ve ever had. Also want to shout out the woman working the counter this morning (around 9am) — it was my first visit and she took the time to explain all the breads and treats, which made the whole experience even better. I also got the avocado toast (I forget exactly what spread was under it, but it had a spicy kick and was incredible). I wish I could have stayed longer. What a gem!

Alright, so here’s the deal. I get the granola here all the time. Like, it’s become a thing. My partner and I wake up, eat it together before walking the dogs, and I swear it’s one of those small, perfect morning rituals that makes life feel good. I don’t know what they put in it, maybe love, maybe magic, but it’s seriously the best granola I’ve ever had. Crunchy, balanced, not too sweet, not too hipster. Just right. Then there’s the veggie sandwich. I think they call it the OG or something like that. It’s ridiculous how good it is. I’ve actually tried to recreate it at home, which went terribly, and I gave up halfway through. And it’s not even like I need to save money doing it myself. The price here is kind of genius. It’s that rare combination where you’re like, “Yeah, that’s worth it.” You feel good spending money here because you can tell it’s going to people who care. Now let’s talk about the staff. What’s up with these people? Where do they find them? Everyone’s so nice and happy it almost feels suspicious. They’ve either discovered the secret to human joy or they’re getting paid better than anyone else in the service industry. Either way, it’s working. The place has this warm, family vibe where everyone seems genuinely happy to be there, which, let’s be honest, is rare these days. On weekends, you sometimes see kids running around helping out, and I’m just assuming they’re the owners’ kids. Otherwise, there’s a whole child labor situation happening, kidding obviously. But really, it adds to the charm. It feels like a real community space where everyone pitches in. And let’s not forget pizza night. Pizza night has saved my life more than once. It’s one of those things you look forward to after a long week. You walk in, you see familiar faces, smell that wood-fired magic, and suddenly the world makes sense again. All in all, Grand grain Shed is one of those rare places that just feels good. The food’s incredible, the energy is right, and the people are real. It’s the kind of place you brag to your friends about but also secretly don’t want to get too popular because you still want a seat. Seriously, five stars, maybe six if they ever start selling that granola by the bucket.

The Historic Davenport, Autograph Collection is a refined hotel located in downtown Spokane. Housed in a stately building, this premier four-star hotel offers upscale dining, a spa, a gym, and an indoor pool. The hotel's rich history has attracted famous film stars, writers, and politicians over the years. Guests can enjoy traditional signature soft peanut brittle and luxurious spa services at the highly-rated Davenport Spa & Salon.
This hotel is so beautiful. An experience in itself staying there. I love how much of its history they display. The have done a wonderful job providing the modern conveniences without coming at the cost of its historic beauty. There were amenities and services that I will certainly come back to experience that I didn't have time for on the trip. My one and only critique would be the beds. The look beautiful but they are not only uncomfortable but oddly low to the ground. **I know the comfort of a bed can be subjective. But because of the odd little platform that the mattress was on it almost felt like it sloped off on the sides. ALL THAT SAID.... 5 stars all day. Would absolutely recommend.
Kat M — Google review
Night of stay: September 13th 2025 This was my second time staying at The Historic Davenport, and honestly, the hotel itself is still a beautiful historical marvel, even if it is stuck right in downtown Spokane. My stay was a real mixed bag. Unfortunately, we did run into some of the issues other reviews mention: several of the front desk staff were noticeably grumpy or even rude. But the check-in experience was completely saved by Danielle. Danielle is a phenomenal employee—seriously, she was awesome! She single-handedly handled a chaotic check-in line with incredible cheerfulness and professionalism. She truly represents the high standard of service Mr. Davenport would expect. Whatever she's making, it's not enough, and the other employees could really take a page from her book. The main disappointment, though, was the bed. The famed Davenport mattress felt worn out, and the classic luxury frame and box spring seem to have been replaced by a low, creaking platform. It was a stark contrast to the unparalleled comfort I remember from my 2017 stay. The Davenport is known for these beds—they even sell them!—but based on this trip, I wouldn't consider buying one. It feels like some negative changes might be happening, possibly due to a management or ownership shift. I really hope they preserve the historical integrity and all those small details the Worthys put into it. Losing the unique charm that makes The Davenport special would be a real shame for Spokane.

Beautiful hotel. It was fun seeing all the history and exploring the hotel. But I wouldn't stay here again. It's worth the walk through and maybe a meal, but the hotel is not worth it. It's expensive. It's loud hearing all the spokane traffic and guys with their loud mufflers gunning it all night long. The hotel want's to nickel and dime over everything. Want a mini fridge? that's $15 a night. Want a late check out even if your a member? that's $25 an hour. Wanna park? That's $35 because there was no clear signange on where to part if you didn't want valet. The bed and pillows were atrocious - and get this, there's an advertisement in the room indicating that you too can have your own davenport bed at home and that if you buy one the price of the room goes towards your bed order. I don't know, I was really excited to stay here but feel disappointed and won't be staying again.

A Wonderful Stay at The Davenport Hotel – Outstanding Service! My experience at The Davenport Hotel Autograph Collection in Spokane was exceptional from start to finish. Every part of my stay reflected the hotel’s commitment to excellence and genuine hospitality. Valet Service: A special thank-you to Mitch and Max, who provided absolutely outstanding valet service. They were prompt, friendly, and incredibly professional—greeting me with a warm welcome each time I arrived and ensuring my vehicle was handled with care. Their attentiveness truly set the tone for the rest of my visit. Dining Experience: The dining service was just as impressive. Tiffany took amazing care of us—her warm personality, attention to detail, and knowledgeable recommendations made every meal enjoyable. She is the perfect blend of professional and personable, enhancing the entire dining experience. Check-In Staff: The front desk team was equally fantastic. Check-in was smooth, welcoming, and efficient. They were friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was set for a comfortable stay. Their hospitality made me feel valued the moment I walked through the doors. Overall, The Davenport Hotel exceeded my expectations in every category. Beautiful property, amazing staff, and truly memorable service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Spokane and look forward to staying again! Sincerely, Dean and Kimberly Goff

I would stay at this hotel again just for the shower! We ran into a bit of an issue with our original room - I have a very bad pet allergy, and we quickly learned that we were on the pet floor. Elliana at the front desk fixed everything immediately, and placed us in a new room on a new floor. She was extremely helpful and wonderful. Other than that hiccup it was a very charming stay!

Classic old landmark hotel experience! The Davenport is Spokane's answer to The Fairmont in San Francisco. Beautiful rooms. Awesomely preserved and decorated lobby. Lots of food service. Spa on-site. First class service by friendly and expert staff. We LIVE in Spokane and come here for in town getaways. This place is the best!

6 day stay for a conference. I found the room to be very comfortable: good size, excellent lighting, the hvac was quite and kept the room a just the right temperature. The bathroom had good lighting as well with huge walk in shower with instant hot water and very good water & rain shower head. The fitness center is well equipped. My only real complaint was there was no pool or spa and would prefer a better sitting chair in the room.
B D — Google review
Great historic location, close to many downtown attractions. The beds are great. We actually stayed in the same room about two years apart, and the same sliding pocket door for the bathroom was still broken. Staff were friendly and helpful, though I had to call several times to get the valet desk to answer.

Knight's Diner, located on Market Street just south of Hillyard in Spokane, Washington, has been serving hearty breakfasts since the early 1990s. Housed in a 1906 Pullman car, this diner offers a unique dining experience with its super-friendly staff and beautiful interior. While it may not be suitable for young children or large groups due to its counter seating, it has garnered praise for its amazing food at affordable prices.
I'd be a regular if I lived in the area. Ordered the chicken fried on the waitress's recommendation. It was great, and I'm usually not a chicken fried steak person. Atmosphere was wonderful. Staff was super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. 10/10 would eat here again.

Best breakfast vibe and food I have had genuinely in a decade. We live out of town and will come back every time we visit. We were a large party with kids and they seated us quickly and generously. Excellent atmosphere. Fabulous food. Fantastic and quick service. Beautiful restored boxcar aesthetic.

We love this little diner. We've been going to this diner since it was on Division. We got to know the original owner, Vicky, (now retired). When she was there behind the counter, it was even more special. She always gave a warm welcome to all who came through her door and every time we stayed or passed through Spokane, we always made a point to stop in for breakfast or at least to say hello. Vicky was always friendly and welcoming. We will miss her. The new owners have done a wonderful job with the place with a little expanding and added bench seating. There are a few of these diner cars in the Spokane area, but the Knight's Diner on Market St. will always hold a special place in our hearts and will remain our number 1 place for breakfast whenever we are in the area.

This place is a MUST stop for breakfast/lunch! Small menu packed with delicious options, everything is fresh prepped day of and you can sit at the bar and watch the owner make your food on the griddle and talk about the rich history of rail car diners!! The servers are so friendly, too!

This place was really cool and the staff was super friendly. Of the 2 train diner's in Spokane we choose this one because we liked the menu options more. I'm so glad we did. Will definitely be visiting again.

The owner gave me a run down of the history of the train car that used to be owned by a former president, it has some amazing history! It's the cleanest restaurant I've been to yet, and a very close tie in beauty with the Safari restaurant downtown. Very nice staff and the inside out burger I had was delicious! Definitely check it out!

Casual Friday Donuts is a quaint donut shop that offers a variety of gourmet flavors, making it stand out from the rest. The owner takes pride in baking fresh and delicious donuts every day, ensuring customer satisfaction. Customers rave about unique flavors like Butterfinger and Double Chocolate, as well as the innovative Coca-Cola glazed donut. The friendly staff and large, tasty donuts make it a must-visit spot for any donut enthusiast.
They do have real donuts!!! They are so good and fresh!!! The guy at the counter is so nice too. My son would normally just eat the toppings of any donut, but at Casual Friday today he ate most of his donut. These donuts are way bigger than what we get from grocery stores. The place is so nice, especially in the morning.
Nissel B — Google review
First time here. The shop is small and has coffee on the menu, though I didn’t try it. I asked the price for a dozen donuts and was told $30, but when I checked out, I was charged $35. It was also a bit hard to communicate with the staff. The donuts aren’t terrible, but are they worth $35? Not really.
C. F — Google review
Overall the dough has a good texture and taste. Any of the filled doughnuts (jelly and custard) are very disappointing. They could be great, but need more in them. The filling is only in 1/4 of the doughnut or less. I really liked the blueberry cake doughnut, but wish it didn't have such a thick coating of glaze. A light layer would be good, but there was just too much.
Alli — Google review
The maple bar frosting itself had a great flavor, but the donut was very dense, doughy, and slightly wet. It seemed to me like it wasn't completely cooked all the way through, but wasn't totally raw. Even my kid didn't want to eat all of hers. We were both excited to try a treat from here for the first time, so it was pretty disappointing.
Lexi T — Google review
Pros: free parking and helpful staff. They also had vegan donuts. Cons: Probably the worst donuts of my life. The vegan donut was so bad it was inedible. The maple bacon was mediocre at best with way too much frosting to cover up the bad dough. The raspberry filed was decent. My total was about $10 for 3 donuts. The store seemed dingy and dirty. Definitely will not be back.
Wendy — Google review
I got a half dozen Vegan donuts and all of them were completely raw in the middle :( I've gotten their donuts a few times and this is the first time so I don't think it's normal for them, just really disappointed this time around. I think the dough was too thick to cook all the way through, felt very heavy.
B B — Google review
Super cute shop. The layout is small but done well and seating is spacious. Their donut selection seams a little limited. That said I think it's because they focus on quality and not quantity. Service was very good and warm. Our conversation was very natural and not forced/fake. Definitely will be coming back.
Trevor B — Google review
On the morning of Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, I experienced Casual Friday Donuts in the Spokane Valley for the first time. I went inside to place my order and was assisted by Audrey who was really nice and helpful. Because the old fashioned donut I purchased was small, she added an additional old fashioned donut to our box at no extra charge. In addition to the old fashioned donut I also picked out a maple bar, chocolate sprinkle (called a “Homer” in honor of the Simpsons), apple fritter, and a raised donut filled with a peanut butter-type icing. All donuts have their own prices and my order totaled $14.95. I brought the donuts home and presented them to my wife as it was her birthday. She was really pleased but graciously shared them with me. I tried the raised donut, the apple fritter, and the maple bar. All three donuts were delicious, fresh, and filling. The raised donut was especially filling and the peanut butter icing was a nice touch. Believe it or not, the maple bar was probably my favorite. Overall we were satisfied with Casual Friday Donuts. Of course you are going to pay more than you would at a grocery store bakery but for a special treat every now and then I think that is okay. Our family tradition is to always pick up donuts on the morning of birthdays so we will return to Casual Friday.

From the fresh Caesar Salad to the smoky Grilled Northwest Salmon Filet, each dish is crafted to perfection. My wife and I tried the hotel restaurant because we were given a $20 voucher at check-in. We'll be coming back after having the best meal of our trip. The meal, dessert, and drinks were quite reasonably priced. Our waitress was also outstanding.
Mike B — Google review
This was the worst food ever. The French onion soup had NO cheese on it, and it was lukewarm and tasted straight from a can. The blue cheese burger trio came out as 2 sliders because apparently they hadn’t updated the menu. The burgers were burnt, and there was no semblance of blue cheese at all. This tasted worse than cafeteria food. On the plus side, our server was very nice and the ambience was very lovely.
Jessica J — Google review
Good energy at this Restaurant in Davenport, Autograph Collection Hotel, in Spokane Valley. It would have been nice if they had a breakfast buffet. The service was excellent, the food reasonsonable. The hotel ambience with the Safari theme was refreshing amidst the city bustle. The room amenities were comfortable. One safety feature lacking was grab bars in the bathroom, absent marking on the shower to show hot and cold water. Spacious and ornate entrance lobby.
Subbarao T — Google review
The cocktails were very good. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great. My steak was not enjoyable. For the price, I was expecting at least a decent steak. No crust just burnt grill marks which gave the steak a bitter burnt flavor. The steak was lacking salt and the cut was not very tender. Would not recommend the steak.

Avocado toast was VERY disappointing. Barely any avocado spread on there. Only 1 piece of toast and overpriced. French toast was pretty good!

Food was okay but definitely not great. I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The service was fairly show but I don't blame the staff. There was only 1 waitress serving breakfast so it took forever to get drink refills. The atmosphere was okay, it just doesn't feel like a restaurant, it felt almost like an after thought of that makes sense

I took my daughter in for a birthday treat and a bit of food. This is a beautiful restaurant inside a beautiful hotel with an obvious tiger exotic cat theme to it. The service took forever. It took us 15 minutes to get a glass of water, that was after she took our food order. I got fried green tomatoes. They were under salted and slightly under cooked. The presentation was nice. ( I am from Alabama and have been eating them my entire life) I had the tortilla soup or something to that effect. I was disappointed they did not include any type of bread or tortillas. The beans were under cooked in the soup and it was just ehhh. The presentation was not appetizing My daughter had chicken fingers and fries. They were ok. She told us there was a free dessert for birthdays, I had the lemon sorbet and my daughter wanted Ice cream. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is the presentation and skillfully put together sorbet. It was delicious and my daughter soon stole my sorbet lol. The server brought the check before the dessert, Then forgot to comp the dessert and had to rerun my card. They were understaffed on server's, so I will give her that. Fundamental 101 mistakes were made and this comes from a guy, that works and has worked in the service industry and bar industry for 25 years. I just believe she needs a bit more training, She was super sweet though. I could tell she didn't really have any help as well so I'm not throwing it all on her. I am throwing it on management for allowing such basic mistakes to occur as of the place was not even remotely busy there may have been 4-5 tables total including us. I tipped her like 33% because I felt bad for her. Not to mention everybody needs to tip servers more, believe me I've been there and done that. The pricing was reasonable. I just expected a bit more from such a nice place inside such a beautiful hotel. If I go back it will definitely be for the sorbet. Although they did have an antelope burger that looked tasty and exotic.

I travel for work and stay at the Tower. I have not had anything less than great experiences except for the last two nights of my stay. I tend to sit at the bar to have some drinks and food after a day of work and had great service from one of the two bartenders working. Kaelah was great, but her counterpart Devon not so much. Seems he picks and chooses who he wants to acknowledge and serve. One night he took my order after waiting 30 minutes and left without bringing it to me. Kaelah came back from lunch and took care of me. The next night I didn’t even get any recognition from him while everyone else sitting around me did. Kaelah again went out of her way to get me taken care of. Not sure what Devon’s deal was, I am not high maintenance and I tip good. I hope she did not have to share her tip with him as he did absolutely nothing to earn it on my tab. Shout out to Kaelah for excellent service and not so much to Devon.

Tried out Saranac Public House for restaurant week. The food was delicious, I would get the pretzels again! The staff was incredibly nice and doing their best with the craziness of the evening. I will definitely be back to try some things off of their regular menu!

This is a cool space, but it didn't feel like other public houses I've been to. Awkward atmosphere. The food was good. A little overcooked and definitely made to sound more fancy on the menu than it actually is. Example: our cauliflower wings were just steamed cauliflower in sauce. We were a larger party and it was clear that the food was sitting under a warmer waiting for it all to finish. The staff was apathetic and sparsely available. Overall given the quality of the food and service it felt a little overpriced, but it wasn't bad.

Wow. Every dish we had was great. Burger was amazing, fries were battered and crisp, wings were perfect, and the peach and prosciutto flatbread was superb. Great selection and prices on happy hour menu. This place is a real gem.

Saranac Public House – Spokane, WA We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Saranac. I was dining with someone who has celiac, and we had zero issues finding great gluten-free options. The team did an awesome job. I ordered the chicken wings with gochujang sauce (not gluten-free), and we shared the steak and potatoes appetizer, Thai chicken flatbread, and mac and cheese. All had gluten-free versions available and were outstanding. The flavors were bold, the portions generous, and the service was top-notch. Also, happy hour is available all day on Sundays, which was a great bonus. Great food, plenty of GF options, and excellent service. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure.

This restaurant deserves every word of criticism for its appalling behavior tonight. Watching the bartender publicly humiliate a married couple—who were simply out to celebrate a birthday, a 50th birthday, at that—was nothing short of disgraceful. He insisted on cutting them off for the absurd reason that one of them “used the restroom too much,” which, frankly, sounds more like a bad joke than a policy. Let’s be clear: this couple did nothing more than enjoy cocktails, appetizers, and entrees, which naturally might involve a couple of trips to the restroom over the course of an evening. Yet the bartender singled them out and ruined what should have been a joyful occasion for reasons that are, at best, baffling, and at worst, tinged with bigotry—especially considering they were a female couple. It’s impossible to ignore the sense of prejudice, whether intentional or not, that tainted the entire incident. The spectacle left every decent person in the room shocked and uncomfortable. For anyone considering dining here: don’t. No one deserves to spend their money at a place with such a gross display of judgment and a hateful spirit. Shame on this establishment for allowing such behavior—rest assured we will never return after witnessing it. For what it’s worth, I was able to catch the couple as they left and offer them a glimmer of dignity and decency they were denied inside. They deserve the birthday dinner they tried to have, and someone should see to it they get it—somewhere decent, not here. Note: The referenced behavior was verified by firsthand observation, and any future response is warranted only by concrete change and accountability from management.

Went here once after bloomsday and loved the food and the service. Went there last night and both my fish and my wife's chicken were burned black and served to us with no care and no napkin's 😕. Will not go back for a long time if ever.

I haven’t reviewed Saranac yet because I don’t want you to go there, I want it all to myself. This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Spokane. The service is always great and the food is consistently delicious. I’m gluten free and my partner is pescatarian and there are plenty of options for both of us. I rotate between the pork tacos (probably my favorite), the house salad (those hazelnuts!), the Thai rice bowl (spicy goodness), and the curry (very curry) and I’m always happy. the cauliflower is good too. Kids meals are affordable and tasty. If it seems pricey just go on Sunday for all-day happy hour and free street parking.

Great place for lunch. We ate here before attending an event downtown. The food came out pretty quickly, service was amazing, and best of all the food tasted great. Love that they let me have soup in place of fries for my side.

Found this little gem while visiting Spokane. We are a fan of greasy spoon type mom & pop restaurants. We arrive an hour before closing. Most seats were empty at that time. The waitress greeted us with genuine friendliness. The ambience was quirky with little dog statues here and there. I ordered the country fried steak and my husband got the fish ( Catfish) and chips. My country fried stake was huge was as big as my hand. It was well prepared and it had a white herb flavored gravy. Now I'm from the South so I know gravy. Let me tell ya that this gravy was absolutely delicious! Is the added touch of herbs to this Gravy elevated the entire flavor of the country fried steak. It was a pleasant surprising flavor. Is not too overpowering on the herbs just right. My husband had beer battered catfish and it was so delicious. Not to thick on the batter. There was so much food we were unable to eat at all but we were nice and full for our 4 hour trip back home. Even though it was close to closing time the waitress was very attentive and Friendly. I got to thank our cook is well. Very humble & polite man.Now this is a greasy spoon so it's not going to be perfect in regards to cleanliness. So if you're looking for absolutely spot clean And this is not the place for you. It wasn't filthy it's just a greasy spoon you expect a certain amount of grease at a greasy spoon. LOL Love the quirking is of this place, the food was great, And the service was genuinely awesome. Found our new favorite little spot when we travel to Spokane.

Definitely your classic mom & pop greasy spoon American diner! Serving breakfast/brunch and lunch till 2pm. Nothing fancy and not too photogenic, but it's across the street from where I'm staying during my work trip to Spokane. B-I-G fan of diner-style breakfast food! Had the fruit (strawberry) Belgian waffle, crispy & slightly greasy bacon and of course all the neverending coffee one can comfortably gulp down. A man (I think a fellow patron) was handing out heart-shaped American flag shirt pendants for both "veterans" and "veteran families". Nice touch. I understand the unpretentious nature of diners is part of the appeal, but this place is slightly "run down". I would suggest this place to someone who isn't too fussy or uptight about "atmosphere". I spent a tad bit more than I felt it was worth based on location and interior—and the menu, while extensive, wasn't anything I couldn't have made myself @ home, thus the loss of a ⭐.

Good place for taking a complete breakfast The flavor is good, the portions are enormous/huge. You can try the omelette to have a real complete lunch The coffee and water is a courtesy The staff is always with nice attitude and good service all the time. On Saturday, May 27, 2023, I ate breakfast at the SkyWay Café. I went with my parents and my two children. We arrived and waited about 10 minutes until a table was available for us. During that time we thoroughly enjoyed watching planes take off. Once seated we were greeted by our server. I never caught a name but she was petite, had dark hair, and had a couple of visible tattoos on her upper arms. She was incredibly nice, helpful, and attentive. I ordered the two large buttermilk pancakes as the menu definitely did them justice by calling them “large.” My parents and daughter ordered other traditional breakfast fare and it all looked delicious. I ordered my son (3 years old) the French fries off the kids menu and they were the double fried kind that are irresistible. The SkyWay Café is your classic, retro breakfast diner with an added bonus of airplane photos, models, and memorabilia all over the restaurant. It was a very historic and entertaining place to eat. We can’t wait to return.

This is definitely a Spokane must go spot! So much here to love that it’s hard to boil it down to a short review. Suffice it to say that in all our experiences here, we’ve never been disappointed. Coffee is always fresh and staff is super friendly. Sticky buns and biscuits are house made. Sticky buns are hard to get right, often they’re too sweet, too chewy, too dry, or otherwise deficient. The sticky buns here are as close to perfect as they get. Biscuits are fabulous, too. Not your traditional buttermilk biscuits more like a cornbread texture, truly unique especially when served with their house made strawberry jam! Yum. Spinach bacon omelette and meat lovers scramble were the entrees. Both were more food than we could handle in one sitting. Great flavor combinations and reasonably priced, too!

Established in 1941, this charming local establishment located in the Garland District of Spokane has been prominently featured in three motion pictures: Why Would Lie? from 1981, Vision Quest from 1985, and Benny & Joon from 1993. The interior of the diner is adorned with a delightful combination of yellow, cream, and pale green hues complemented by tasteful black accents.
Went in for breakfast and immediately felt welcomed. The place is just as I would have hoped decor and smell wise. We were met with prompt service and a comfy and inviting atmosphere. I got the steak bites with eggs, hash browns with gravy, and toast. The steak bites were phenomenal and really everything was just so good. I would for sure come back.

I have lived in the area since 1997 and had never been to Fergusons. My husband and I wanted to try a new breakfast spot today and decided to check out Fergusons. I absolutely LOVE old diners and this one did not disappoint! I asked our waitress, Andrea, how old Fergusons was and she told us it opened in 1941. I think it's so neat that it's still open after all of these years. Benny & Joon, Boon, and a few other movies had scenes that were filmed in the diner, which is so cool. We ordered the veggie hash and the sausage hash. They were both excellent. Two people could easily share a hash. Andrea's service was awesome and she made sure we had everything we needed and checked back with us frequently to ensure our coffee was refilled. The atmosphere was cozy and had antique gems and older pictures placed throughout the diner. I loved everything about Fergusons and am looking forward to coming back soon. I would absolutely recommend Fergusons to locals and tourists. It is a MUST!

Took a random Monday off with the wife and found this spot in the Garland District. Service was great, it's a chill little place, and the food is awesome. They got breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's a bit busy for breakfast, but you should find a spot to eat. We'll be back!

I had never been to Ferguson's despite living in Spokane most of my life. It did not disappoint. I had vegi Benedict and it was delicious. It was the best Benedict or not that I've ever had. The hashbrowns were good as was the orangesicle shake. It could have been more orangey. I was hoping for a old fashion soda but they have milkshakes.

Indaba Coffee is a popular hangout in Spokane, offering a selection of espresso drinks and locally baked goods. The vibrant community hub features an industrial-style ambiance and hosts live music on weekends. With two locations in Kendall Yards, this family-owned business is known for its top-notch coffee and signature lattes, including the house-made butterscotch latte. Indaba Coffee prides itself on being community-focused and welcoming to all visitors.
This is a nice modern urban coffee house. The tea and coffee was good. Located in Kendell Yards it is next to loads of shops, centennial trail, and restaurants. The space is shared with Fleet Feet, a running gear store. Several locations in the city but I like this one quite a bit

I love Indaba - every single barista is amazing and they work at all of the locations. I love saying hi to everyone I’ve gotten to know. Great seating area; quiet enough to work if you need.

We travel around the country in our van sampling local coffee! Indaba Coffee was excellent! barista was awesome and most importantly the latte was perfect! Seems like a local favorite spot!

Good coffee! The butterscotch latte was bomb and I usually don’t like sweet drinks. Bravo!

Love the coffee and vegan breakfast sandwich here! They also have a couple of other vegan options which is great! There is also a little library which is fun.

One of the best coffee shops around Spokane. They roast their beans and we have been buying a bag to take with us back home whenever we visit Spokane. The baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. The location is little bit out of the way but plenty of street parking and seats are available.
Mediscover S — Google review
We love our Indaba ritual every day. The coffee is fantastic, but the service and atmosphere are what make Indaba special. We adore all our baristas, but John, Mason, and Carissa at the Broadway location go above and beyond the call to “love people, love coffee”. They greet us like friends, chat with us about nothing and everything, and make the best cortados, cappuccinos, and flat whites. We love indaba coffee but most of all we love our indaba people!
Gena H — Google review
Highly recommended! Coffee variety and uniqueness is more than at any other shop I've been to. The roast is well done, not burned. The drink was very smooth and silky. Try their Orange Maple Latte or a Chai Latte and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Excellent and speedy customer service. Will be coming back and recommending to others.

Terry's Breakfast & Lunch is a hidden gem that every traveler dreams of discovering. Nestled in Spokane, this charming eatery serves up generous portions of classic American diner fare in a laid-back setting. Upon arrival, the bustling parking lot hinted at the deliciousness within, and we were promptly seated despite the crowd. The menu boasts an enticing selection of all-day breakfast and lunch options that are sure to satisfy any appetite.
We ate the food so fast because it was so good that I didn't get pics! I had biscuits and gravy and it was huge and so delicious. I think there were 5-6 biscuits and plenty of gravy! My buddy had the ultimate omelette and it was enormous! Made with 6 eggs and all kinds of breakfast meat with a huge pile of hash browns! He's a big boy and he didn't quite finish every bite! The portions and the quality of the food, besides a great atmosphere and great table service, was outstanding. I highly recommend giving Terry's breakfast a try, you won't b disappointed! FYI: they serve breakfast all day and also have lunch items on their menu.

Great place! We went here before a baseball game at Avista Stadium. They were very busy but we were seated and served pretty quickly considering. The food was excellent and so was the service. I love that for your side you can get vegetables instead of fries, they were so good. Pictured is a french dip and a reuben. We will definetely eat here again!
Karen D — Google review
The food is definitely solid. Really good country fried steak. The hash browns are a little mushy but the gravy is spot on. I had a decent scramble that was really well made. Great small dinner style service. The restroom needs some work and the old building has some annoying sounds and buzzing that should be fixed. Just need some TLC to go from 4 starts to 5.

A classic diner-style spot that knows how to serve up a solid meal. Terry’s is located on **Trent Ave** and has that welcoming, no-frills vibe where you know the food is going to be good. The staff is **friendly and attentive**, making the experience even better. Service is **quick and efficient**, so whether you’re dining in or grabbing something to go, it’s a hassle-free stop. Portions here are **generous**, and the food doesn’t disappoint. I ordered **Terry’s Scramble**, and it was spot on—perfectly cooked eggs mixed with flavorful ingredients, covered in melted cheese, and served with crispy hash browns. Definitely hit the spot. One thing you can’t miss is the **rooster theme** throughout the restaurant. From the décor to little details tucked around the dining space, it adds a fun, homey touch to the whole experience. For anyone looking for **a cozy, classic diner with great food, fast service, and a bit of rooster charm**, Terry’s Breakfast & Lunch is worth checking out.

Infinite coffee!!! I love it. I tried the miner's scramble and it was awesome, very tasty and hearty! But it is big so be prepared. Ready for 6 hrs drive to Portland. The service is great and the ladies are so sweet!! If I come to Spokane again definitely will come by once more.

Terry's is exactly the kind of local place we always hope to find when traveling. It was a good omen to find the parking lot overflowing when we arrived; though very busy, we were seated quickly. They have a great menu offering a delicious array of all-day breakfast and lunch items (and everything was, indeed, delicious). What immediately stands out, however, was the amazing service. We were greeted warmly upon walking through the door, and from then on received outstanding customer service. Waits for our servers were non-existent...they were always there for us and, most importantly, clearly interested in giving their customers an excellent meal and a wonderful experience. We'll certainly return the next time we visit Spokane. Very highly recommended!

Really great food and the waitress was really nice. The only thing was there were about 2 flies flying around me and my meal the entire time. Also was sitting next to the window that had dead flies. It was yummy food and great service, just don’t wanna spend the time swatting flies.

Nestled on the north bank of the Spokane River, Osprey Restaurant & Bar offers a relaxed dining experience with a menu featuring burgers, pasta, steak, and craft cocktails. The venue boasts a comfortable and modern patio overlooking the serene river, complete with outdoor heating for year-round enjoyment. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner or weekend brunch, this spot has you covered.
Alina was our server and let me tell you, fantastic! She really made it a special experience. I came with my folks for happy hour and it did not disappoint. The aperol margarita was phenomenal. Not too sweet, just right (I did not get the sugar rim). It was super relaxing sitting my the river and watching people walk by on the path. The road noise was kinda loud, so as nice as it is by the river, know there a main thoroughfare right there too. Nachos were decent. Cheese was lacking, chips were bare, so Alina brought a side of cheese sauce which seemed to be homemade, and that fixed the issue. Overall, highly recommend this lively Spokane restaurant.
Amber C — Google review
Let’s start with the really good things: The food. I had the BBQ ribs: Nice, smoky flavor, falling off the bone, just as it should be. My wife had the Taboulé salad: Tasty, crunchy, good! The service was okay - not more, not less. Our waiter was there, did his job, nothing else. The thing that killed the atmosphere completely was the terrible lighting! Bright, white neon lights!! Grrrrrr! No chance for any kind of cosy dinner atmosphere! The ONLY nice lighting was at the bar: Warm, loft like light bulbs - the way it should be all over. Bottom line: Good dinner - with a big „But…!“
Lobo M — Google review
Went to the patio concert series and had a blast listening to music. Didn't have to wait long for a seat, so we chilled at the bar for like 10 minutes before we got one. Good vibes, awesome drinks, and I'm definitely going back for that river view!
Marc A — Google review
The food was amazing and our waiter (Tyrone) was excellent, but wait times were long! We stood inside 10 minutes before we were greeted by the hostess, a group of 6 ahead of us she was trying to help. She could have at least acknowledged we were there. Once we sat, we were placed at a dirty table. I had to flag her down again to clean off. Took almost 15 minutes just to get 2 bar drinks. Our appetizer and food were delicious. The pork in the tacos was smoked perfectly! The chips were served with salsa, but it is really pico de galla and very little of it. Atmosphere outside was nice, but we were placed up against the building and very hard to enjoy the view with all the shade things pulled out as they blocked view.
Megan S — Google review
Excellent atmosphere right on the Spokane River, competitive prices and amazing food. The BBQ pork is legit, smoky, tender, filling, and the truffle fries are incredibly flavorful. Sarah was phenomenal.
Laura B — Google review
The family stopped here for brunch. We were able to seated outside, in beautiful weather and under an awning. Perfect! Our server was attentive and quite engaging, we had some fun with her, and it helped to enhance our experience. The food was very good, my avocado toast with smoked salmon and eggs was delicious! Unfortunately, our food took quite a long time to come, and the restaurant was not that busy, so that was disappointing. But, that was the only downside. All in all, a good meal out.
Sean T — Google review
I love this place and it has a wonderful location right on the River. The view is beautiful. Food is good especially the steak, burgers, and breakfast. The barbecue is also very good. . Bob and Josh served me last time, We've always had very good service. I visit my family there several times a year and we always visit Ospreys! Wonderful deserts as well!

Real good experience here! Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. The happy hour was great, the service was fast and both the drinks and food were amazing. We will definitely be back and be taking visiting guests here as it’s a prime location on the river!

Nestled in the heart of Spokane, Cole's Bakery & Cafe is a delightful haven for food lovers seeking both gluten-free and vegan options. Since its inception in 2013, this charming establishment has carved out a niche as a go-to spot for scrumptious baked goods and hearty meals. With an extensive menu that spans breakfast to dinner, guests can indulge in everything from delectable vegan cupcakes and brownies to savory dishes like sweet potato-black bean veggie burgers and pulled jackfruit sandwiches.
This place is so special!! My husband and i were in town visiting family. Stopped here one day for a late breakfast, and was excited that it was a fully GF facility. This place has some of the best food hands down! We loved it so much the first time we came again the next day. We tried a bit of everything. The ricotta pancakes are perfection along with the biscuits and gravy. We loved the onion rings, Mozz sticks and chicken fingers and fries. My husband loved his burger as well. The food is seasoned nicely which goes a long way. It was just so good! The service is great, but beware this place can get busy and they have a storefront as well so if they dont have enough staff you may wait a bit of time. The second day we went it was packed and they had two people. And the storefront area was busy as well. I tried their chocolate cupcake that was very much like a hostess and it was just the tastiest! My husband and father loved the lime and lemon bars. So happy we found this place and will be back anytime we are in town. It’s a must visit!

It's said the quality and state of a restaurant's kitchen and bathrooms, is the quality of their food. Cole's rocked these and their food was AMAZING. We got the pancakes and chicken fried steak. Both were so good. 🤌🏼 Also tried the Lavender Fog, so good! Place was clean, well designed, lots of product for those sensitive to gluten avail for walk up purchase. Server was kind and efficient. We def suggest you stop in and taste something amazing for yourself.

The food was delicious! I stopped here because they have vegan options and didn't even realize everything is gluten free too. I'm not gluten free but everything was delicious. I got the vegan brownie and one of the vegan burgers. Definitely worth eating here 😁

How have I only just visited Cole’s while being in this area?! HANDS DOWN THE BEST GLUTEN FREE RESTAURANT AROUND! They have a huge variety of food, baked goods, delicious drinks and so much more! When you walk in there is a shopping area where you can purchase refrigerated items (donuts, ice cream, etc), baked goods (carrot cupcakes, cheesecake), to go items (burritos, freeze dried candy, and sandwiches) to mixes made from Simple Mills and more (soup mixes, cake mixes, brownie mixes, etc). There are two separate dining areas. The tables are large, clean and provide everything you might need on hand (sugar, salt and pepper, ketchup). The service was wonderful! Everything is 100% gluten and peanut free! Some items are keto friendly and dairy free. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and they were so fluffy! I highly recommend their hot chocolate as well. The chips that came with my friend’s meal were divine!!! Overall the experience was truly amazing. I simply can’t rave enough about this place. This is definitely worth the trip and I plan on coming back as much as I can!
Kaeli W — Google review
Wonderful place to go if you have celiac disease, there is absolutely no gluten in any of their products that they sell in the restaurant or in their display cases as well as their baking items. The breakfast was basic pretty typical. I was pretty impressed with the toast since it was gluten-free and it tasted delicious. I thought it would taste different. It ended up tasting like regular bread. And the the tea drink that I had with the milk in it was delicious. I definitely want that one again. The service was wonderful and the owner was kind. It seemed very busy at lunchtime, but it was great. No complaints here. I will be going back since my sweet little daughter-in-law has celiac disease and I will be picking up bread for her quite often. And vegetarian options are definitely available if you are a vegan.
Short-N-Sweet — Google review
I love they have gluten free and dairy free foods it helps a lot with dietary needs. I took some lemon bars, lime bars and salted caramel cupcakes home. Love the lemon bars. Lime bars were a little bland for my taste. The salted caramel cupcakes were ok, the frosting tasted a bit artificial. We ate there, got fish and chips. They were good, wish it was a little more for the price. Service was alright. Friendly people. Overall I will go again, but it's a bit expensive for what you get. However, everywhere and everything seems expensive anymore.

I wasn’t planning on stopping at anywhere in particular because I was starving and need to eat.. but Cole’s just happened to be very close. I’m so happy my stomach’s intuition guided me to this place!! 😊 The food was delicious and fresh and the FOH Manager was very accommodating and friendly. I didn’t see a lot of workers, so I didn’t mind waiting a few minutes to order, but every time she walked by me she acknowledged me and reassured me that she would assist me ASAP. I ordered the “Dirty Fries” because my stomach was running the show at this point not my healthy conscience. When they came out they were exactly as I had hoped for! Hot, natural cut fries with a generous helping of cheese sauce, pulled pork, their signature BBQ sauce, and topped off with green onions.. 😱🤑 my tastebuds were very pleased. Also need to mention the Butterscotch and cashew cookies were a perfect mix of sweet, crunchy, & chewy. ❤️ I will be back and recommend you to my friends 👍.

Denny's is a popular casual dining chain known for serving classic American comfort food, with a focus on all-day breakfast options. Customers have enjoyed dishes like the Crepe Breakfast, which features flavorful vanilla pudding and generous amounts of strawberries and strawberry sauce. The staff is praised for their kindness and attentive service. Despite some disappointments with certain menu items, such as the appearance of the brisket on the Mac n cheese, customers found alternatives like boneless chicken wings to be satisfying.
Our waiter goes above and beyond what most servers do. He didn't think he deserved the tip we left, but if we didn't think you deserved it we wouldn't have left it. He is very helpful and very attentive without hovering. He helps out other tables as well. We wanted to tell the manager how much we appreciated his service, but the manager was busy cooking.

The restaurant looked promising from the outside—clean & looked new. Inside, same vibe—clean, updated. We were greeted immediately with such friendly, professional service by Desiree —she was AMAZING. It really reminded me how a person’s service can really make an impact onto the whole rest of the day. She was efficient, friendly, super helpful, and bonus—funny. The food looked promising when I saw the items at the window and the hard working team on the line. The whole staff seemed positive and hard working. I was impressed. I was right about the food—it. Was. Everything. We. Could. Hope. For. Denny’s —who knew?! This changed the way I look at a classic American eatery.

Came in yesterday for lunch. Everyone was busy/steady. Our service was a miss, we just kept getting forgetten which if they are busy, I don't mind waiting at all. Our server was hanging by the kitchen window just getting her chat on. We sat close and just continued to ask other servers for refills and things we needed. The food was pretty good. Everyone loved their meal. Our server was not very friendly. My family is more traditional, a lot of please and thank yous but she barely said anything to us. Finally we walked up and asked for boxes because she did not come back. Other servers were kind/helpful to us. Liked the seating/atmosphere. We really liked the plates that sizzle when they come out and the pancakes! Nachos are always a hit here too!
Larie B — Google review
The server was nice but the food was.. bad, the hash browns were barely cooked, and the egg whites were raw in some places, the brisket and fried items were overcooked and the oil was obviously overdue for a change the potatoes and broccoli were unseasoned, the only thing that was okay were the pancakes, for some reason the food is better at night likely because doordash isn't active at that time.
AEGEAN — Google review
I had a good streak going for about a week or two I was a daily and tipping 25%. The last two times I ate there they got my order wrong. I forgave them and decided I could try them again. I came in today and they got my order wrong again. I'm leaving a one star because I will not come back because I do not trust them. In the picture I ordered a triple slam burger, they brought me a double, no cheese, a couple shreds of hash browns and the server insisted I accept the double and this wasn't made right and the egg was burned with weird black stuff on it.

Gave the staff a couple of days heads up that I was hosting a large coffee session. They stepped up and delivered. The staff (Daniel) was on his toes the entire time and did a fantastic job. He was professional and friendly. From now on, this is where my friends and I will meet. Thank you Denny's!

I dine at the Division St Denny's with a group once a month. It is an amazing restaurant! My group has met at many other places over the last 25 years. But the food and service at this Denny's location has been second to none! And for the first time ever, my coffee cup was refilled during our meeting! Awesome!

All the highchair straps were broken. The changing table in the bathroom was broken and also had no straps. Some of the food was served cold and undercooked. Which she tried to charge me for most of it and only slightly discount. I only ate the salad and the cold potatoes. The steak was not cooked and looked like it had been steamed. There were no marks or evidence it had been cooked on a grill. The menus were very sticky with syrup and food smears all over them.

My wife and I were excited to try The Original Pancake House this morning. However, after our experience, I doubt we will be going back. We walked straight to the hostess/check in table and noticed several empty tables. We assumed we would get seated right away. However, we waited about ten minutes for the host to even take our name down. He was busy clearing tables off. No big deal. We asked how long it would be and he said, “Twenty minutes but a lot of people are getting up right now so most likely 5-10 minutes!” Sweet…… however, 40 minutes later, we were finally seated. As we were shown our table, we walked by several dirty tables that hadn’t been cleared yet. We really liked the layout but thought tables remaining dirty for 15-20 minutes was a big turn off. The menu had good options. I thought the prices were expensive but they were probably on par with what you’ll get at any other breakfast place. I ordered the Southwestern Burrito with chorizo off the Fall menu. The burrito was absolutely horrendous, but the grilled potatoes and pumpkin pancakes were delicious. My wife got the meat and eggs platter. Her bacon was great and we really enjoyed the chocolate chip pancakes. I think this restaurant has potential but we caught them on a bad day. 2 Stars

We went out for brunch this morning with the family and had such a great experience! The service was wonderful—friendly, attentive staff who made us feel welcome right away. They had a fun summer special that caught our eye, and the menu had something for everyone. The kids loved their pancakes and crêpes, which came out perfectly fluffy and beautifully presented. I went with the breakfast tacos, and they were absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, great flavor, and a nice portion size. Everything came out hot and well-prepared. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a weekend breakfast. We’ll definitely be back soon to try more of the menu!

I had the eggs Benedict and I would say it was average at best. The potatoes were bland, no salt, pepper, and the hollandaise really lacked any flavor at all my daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes, which were really very good. There are definitely a few other menu items I would like to try,so I will be coming back for another visit. Parking was easy today. I got a spot right on the street. Only cost me 2$ dollars.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time, but unfortunately, we are unlikely to return. While our server, Silvia, promptly brought us water after taking our drink order, our coffee did not arrive until after our meals were served. Additionally, we observed several guests who arrived after us receive both their coffee and food before we did. Based on our experience, it seems the restaurant could benefit from improved customer service training.

During our recent visit to Spokane we discovered The Original Pancake House. We enjoyed our first meal so much we had to return two more times before we departed. They have a wonderful menu with lots of options. We enjoyed the avocado toast, Benedict 's, omelet and breakfast bowls. Great service from everyone especially Dillon and Hope. We highly recommended this spot in downtown Spokane.

This was our first time at this restaurant and it will not be our last. We came from out of town to attend a graduation and decided to have breakfast before heading out. My niece lives in Spokane and has never been, so it was a great experience for her also. The service was excellent. My mom broke her leg and was in a wheelchair. They were very helpful it getting us a table to accommodate her. The food was delicious! No complaints from us.

My first experience here has been great! The food was wonderful, and even with how low staffed they were, the service was great. I'd definitely recommend trying all their syrups so yummy! Loved all the food options. The Dutch baby was also delicious. They even have little to-go cups for the syrups if you ask. Each main dish seems to come with pancakes and potatoes. You can even change the flavor of your pancake if you'd like. Come try it out. 😁

Located in Spokane, People's Waffle is a cozy spot known for its delectable sweet and savory waffles, as well as a selection of tea and coffee. What sets this place apart is that all their waffles are 100% gluten-free, making it a must-visit for those with dietary restrictions. The small establishment exudes a charming vibe with sidewalk tables outside. Despite the modest size of the waffles, they are packed with flavor.
OMG! This is so amazing. They are dedicated gluten free and have a large kids menu! My daughter loves cinnamon so got the cinnamon sugar kids waffle, I got lemon blueberry, and my husband got the people’s patty melt. Kids meals come with one waffle and adult meals with two. The food was so delicious. Highly recommend. Our server was also fantastic and very friendly and kind.

Really good but odd tasting, it was probably just not my taste of this type of food. I didn’t know the waffles were gluten free but it seems like they use a very fresh type of ingredients for everything, which is good. Everything was still really tasteful but for the family it just tasted a bit off. Service was great. This place should be like 2x the size for the amount of people who love it. I’d come back and try more.

Restaurant
Jenny's Cafe is a small diner that serves hearty portions of American breakfast items like hash browns. The diner is family friendly, and not as crowded as other local diners. The food was fine, but service was good but had to send back 1 glass and 3 forks that were dirty.
My husband and I have driven by many times and been like we really need to try it sometime. Well the opportunity came. I am extremely happy to say we were not disappointed. Highly recommend getting a cinnamon roll. We got one and shared it as a breakfast appetizer. Why isnt that a thing. Then i had the breakfasts chimichanga and my husband had the toms marathon man. I ate my leftovers for lunch later. We definitely plan to go back and explore more of the menu. I especially want to try grandpa bobs chicken and waffles ( my grandpa name was bob and he actually made some pretty good waffles and pancakes) so i definitely recommend. Go give Jennys a try next time your in the area looking for a breakfast spot

It was good food at first, until I noticed their was a hair in my food, not just sitting on top but cooked into my French toast, personally that’s pretty gross, I lost my appetite, she took it off the bill as requested. Then we went to pay, and it said cash was cheaper, use card it’ll be about $2 more, my boyfriend asked why and the lady said “the banks charge you to use your card” which just doesnt make sense. The people were nice though. Probably won’t be coming back.

How anyone could give this place lower than 5 stars is beyond me! The food was wonderful and quick to get to our table. Granted, I was a sucker for the all you can eat hash browns. The country fried steak breakfast had flavor, quantity, and appearance. The establishment was clean and cozy. I am a faith based person and it was incredibly welcoming without being overbearing for those who may share different beliefs. The restaurant is busy, there is no doubt about that. The turnover rate is fast and the wait times are quite reasonable. I want to give a shout-out to Stephanie and Dawn our servers for being quick to greet my family and I. Stephanie greeted us and got us our drinks quickly, and with such a positive attitude and glowing smile. Dawn took our orders as soon as she saw us ready. There was a soccer team she was catering to outside, and I was incredibly impressed with her attentiveness to the smaller tables that she had as well. Friendly, happy, and waiting on all of her sections with ease. I just want to send the biggest thanks to both of them for making our experience such a positive one. Keep up the great work Jenny's. You deserve every star!!

I had the steak and eggs and the sirloin was so good. The whole place gives off farmhouse style. Lots of lighting and the decorations are so cute. Will be back to try more of their food. I would say the upside is the size portions are great for the price they charge.

Donut shop
Cafe
Donut Parade is a 24/7 doughnut shop located on North Hamilton, just a short drive from Gonzaga University and the NorthTown mall. Established in 1968, it has been a beloved spot in the Gonzaga district of Spokane. After briefly closing down, new owners have kept the tradition alive. The menu features classic favorites like maple bars, old fashioned or blueberry cake doughnuts, cinnamon swirls, jelly and custard-filled options, and apple fritters.
Always love coming in for both the classics and the specialty donuts, I love being able to enjoy a sweet treat anytime thanks to them being open 24/7 plus I'm never disappointed in their new flavors. My new #1 being the dill pickle fritter, absolutely perfection. Gotta love the variety

Stopped by this donut shop in Spokane this morning. The donuts were okay—not bad, but not outstanding either. The place is decent for a quick sweet bite, but I’ve had better elsewhere.”
Lesly C — Google review
Donut Parade is the absolute best!! I wanted to surprise my husband with donuts for his birthday and they went above and beyond, they even wrote on the donuts as an added surprise!! Thank you donut parade! Plus, the donuts are incredibly delicious.
Anthony H — Google review
Older building needing some TLC, service was slow and the person waiting on us didn't seem to know the products and he was difficult to hear not sure if it was him not speaking loud enough or the noise from the fans they had running either it was difficult. The donuts we purchased were ok but nothing special
Nancy B — Google review
I love donuts and donut parade sells them (almost) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They’re quality donuts and I find myself going back over and over again because they’re so great. The only drawback is I feel like the maple bar has more of a butterscotch frosting than maple but now that I know to expect it I’m not bothered. Happy to recommend to anyone looking for a good donut spot in Spokane.
Courtney C — Google review
Nathan and his staff do a great job. The doughnuts are not your basic grocery store doughnuts. Bigger and far better. Great selection too. Well worth the price.
Drake F — Google review
We love everything we've tried here! Custard filled is my go to, but the apple fritters are a close second. Great texture & flavor, fresh, & very reasonable pricing. Staff is always nice and accommodating. Thanks doughnut parade!
Alex H — Google review
It's an old run down place, but has a bit of nostalgia to it. The doughnuts are ok, they dry out way too fast, but they are good. Kids can color a picture at home that they provide for them and get a free doughnut on their next visit. This got me to come back... My kids colored that things so fast lol Local business, support them if for nothing else than that.

If you're in search of a cozy spot to unwind while enjoying delightful drinks and snacks, look no further than Kitty Cantina. This charming kitty café serves as a sanctuary for rescued cats, offering an inviting atmosphere where you can relax with your favorite beverage while watching the adorable felines play through large windows or plexiglass barriers.
I drove by the Kitty Cantina and decided to stop in on a whim. I’m so glad I did! The staff are so welcoming. The environment is really positive and upbeat and all the cats are super sweet and fun. I ordered an iced Matcha latte with oat milk, and made a walk-in appointment to spend time with the cats. They had a half hour and an hour option. a drink and a half hour cost about $13- well worth it in my opinion and I heard a couple other people mentioned it was the best money they spent all week! Some cats snoozed other cats liked to play and they were plenty of kitties to go around! in my session, there were four other people in the room and there were about 15 cats. Highly recommend a visit if you’re looking for some tasty food and time with some sweet cats!
Sara A — Google review
We just recently lost our senior hospice kitty, and needed some animal interaction to get back on our feet. I'm also new to the area and when I found this place online I just knew I had to go with my mom when we had the chance. I can't speak to the food aspect as I have dietary restrictions but the cat part (the most important part in my opinion) was fantastic. They had a great selection of personality types that made it both enjoyable and easy to stay engaged the whole time. I love that they offer time slots for adults vs adults with kids as some other ones we've been to are always a mix which often gets chaotic for both the cats and myself. The gentleman who was supervising our session was incredible at monitoring the cats while also cleaning the entire time, something I really appreciate as I know it gives the cats a great start and prevents issues that may keep the cats from getting adopted. The other thing I absolutely love is that they have an option to make a donation to help senior, disabled, and special needs cats so they have a fair chance. As someone who loves this demographic of cats and seeks them out, I truly appreciate that they're looking out for them as well. Overall my mom and I really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again to support such a great cause and get some cuddles!

This is my go-to spot for coffee. Kitty Cantina is the perfect place to sip on an iced latte and watch kittens run amuck. The grilled cheese sandwiches are my kids' favorite. The employees are always friendly and kind. The bathrooms are unisex and wheelchair accessible. Seating is metal stools and metal chairs, which may not be ideal for some. The music they play is typically quiet and not blasting like other places. Overall, it's one of my favorite places to stop and get coffee. <3
Anna H — Google review
It can take a while for your drinks or food, but it is well worth the wait! Delicious! And who wants to hurry through a business when there are so many cute kitties to watch playing and napping in the cat room? Great coffee, great staff, great cats! Can’t ask for anything more!
Kimi K — Google review
After moving into the area, the Kitty Cantina is now a weekly destination. I now find myself there every Sunday morning and I am always met warmly. The staff are beyond kind and personable. They are great at their jobs and their compassion towards the kitties is beyond obvious. Their food and drinks reasonably priced and are better than more well known competitors. The cats are always well taken care of. Their merchandise is just fantastic. I will be continuing to make it part of my weekly relaxation. Thank you guys for all you do!
Celeste B — Google review
The cats look so well taken care of please adopt if you are able to! Literally the best customer service ever. Awesome merch and drinks!

My husband and I started going to the Kitty Cantina nearly a year ago, and we have loved it every single time. The food and drinks are amazing, the baristas and the owner are always so sweet and nice, the atmosphere is so positive and happy, we absolutely love it there. Not only that, but we love knowing that by visiting the Kitty Cantina, we are not only helping a small business, but we’re helping the cats too and supporting everyone who works there and makes it possible for so many cats and kittens to be adopted. We have also loved seeing all of the cats who found their furever homes, it makes us both so happy to see all of the Polaroids on the wall of every cat and their families. This is such an amazing business and I highly recommend supporting them.

Great place to go in the morning and grab a cup of coffee or tea. We ordered pomegranate latte, vanilla lavender coffee and ginger matcha. The last drink was divine! It really helped me to stand on my feet at the beginning of the day. Ginger was not overpowering, just right amount to feel the kick. We ordered burritos and lemon poppyseed muffins. Everything tasted great! They warmed up every pastry. The taste of coffee was amazing! Really recommend this place if you are near!

Adding on to this review. TH issued a credit to my credit card. I assume this is a response to my original post. I appreciate the "make good" and have changed my rating to 4 stars. Original post: Don't stop here if in a hurry! Food service is often very slow. After extended wait this morning I had to leave after paying for food I never received because after 10 minutes, I couldn't wait longer. No one offered adjustment, apology, or explanation. Food, coffee is petty good but I won't stop here again if time is critical
Wed — Google review
Why can this place not make an accurate drink? It's hit or miss with service if you get someone friendly or not. Every drink no matter what tastes likes burnt espresso. I gave it two stars as my husband and friend used to like the black coffee but recently it hasn't tasted as good as the other locations in their opinion. Limited sugar free options. I finally ordered off their special menu and tried their pumpkin drink and banana bread drink dealing with full sugar just to get something they were familiar with. It tastes like burnt coffee and a ton of milk. I dint not taste the flavor at all. For the price, I'd rather go down the road and get something yummy and not tasting burnt like. I gave a five star for their food as their chorizo burrito and gouda Sammie are pretty good but i think they just have to microwave that and sometimes they don't do that right and I have to nuke it again when home or at work. Maybe this place needs a training session or two.

White Dog Coffee is a beloved local gem in Spokane, boasting four convenient locations, including one on East 57th Avenue. This drive-thru coffee stand stands out with its cheerful white and teal branding, making it a delightful stop for coffee lovers on the go. Known for its friendly staff who are always eager to assist, White Dog offers an impressive range of cup sizes from 8oz to 32oz and even serves delicious sandwiches like their popular chicken Caesar.
White Dog was a very cool local coffee drive thru spot! Friendly workers that helped with every question we had. Cup sizes from 8oz to 32oz. Great variety. I had an original hot chocolate and it was honestly better than a big chain. They also sold sandwiches, so I tried the chicken cesar sandwich and I loved the bread it came on. Fresh and good. The bread was nice and warm. Will definitely come back to support this nice little business.

This place has inspired me! I went to the South Hill location EVERY day for almost half a year, always getting the same thing: 24oz blue lotus. It was fine for a long time and I don’t know what changed, but I started to notice that in almost every drink I got, the ice would fill the whole cup; six sips and my drink is gone. So I started asking for light ice and some of the girls were great and only put half a cup of ice instead of a full cup, while others still filled the whole cup with ice. So I started asking for the ice in a separate cup and the lotus cup filled all the way. They said it’s an extra dollar if I want my cup filled up, which I was happy to pay as this drink can last me all day when I actually get 24oz. But then after a few times of asking for the ice separate, I noticed the drink was a visibly much lighter shade of blue, and it tasted like water. So it was pretty clear to me that even after I paid the extra dollar, they were only filling my cup with extra soda water and not adding any extra lotus. That happened a few times and one day after waiting 20 minutes in a two car line, I started to ask myself why I was still coming here. The final straw for me was when I wanted to use the free drink I had on my punch card and they told me it only covers $5.75 and I would have to pay the $1.40 difference for my drink. So the “free drink” that you earn after buying 10, is not actually free. And no, it doesn’t say that anywhere on the punch card nor was disclosed beforehand. No big deal for me to just pay the difference, but if you advertise that it’s free then it should be, ya know, free lol. So you must be wondering, how did they inspire me? Well after too many watered down drinks, I finally just went out and bought my own Lotus and syrup so I can make my drink at home every day and never come back here. It sucks because I really like to support local businesses, but this one has done all they can to make it not worth it. Also here’s a photo of my drink after asking for “light ice” and after a lot of it melted in my hot car.
Alli H — Google review
DO NOT GO HERE; Every drink I have ever gotten from this location has been unmixed slop with the syrup clumps at the bottom of my cup. It wouldn't be such a red flag if it we're so CONSISTENT. This location's baristas have clearly never been trained to mix drinks properly, and desperately need a visit from upper management to sort out this consistent shirking of basic coffee making techniques. Once I get the coffee home, I shake it up with my ball whisk shaker cup, and it tastes delicious. But for 10$ a drink I shouldn't have to go home and mix it my dang self!
Larkin C — Google review
No complaints on quality of food or drinks but these girls have zero pep in their step. It should not take 15 minutes to get 2 cars through. Either they need to stop chatting so much or find a more efficient way to get your orders out. nobody wants to sit there and listen to you guys bullshit, if that was the case you’d go in somewhere and sit down. Drive through is for people with places to be. Also the only location with this issue, and it’s consistent enough I don’t think I’ll be going here anymore .
Nicolas F — Google review
The drinks are decent, the baristas are usually kind and friendly, but I think the prices are a little wild! I paid over $4 for just a double shot of espresso recently. the vibe is cute and they have a wide variety of options, just not my first pick for coffee on the south hill.
Cynthia R — Google review
I personally love white dog, my favorite shop is on the south hill. Amazing atmosphere in my opinion, extremely friendly and welcoming. All the girls there are great but Paige and Arie are my favorite. Great energy and always so kind. 😊
Kyra M — Google review
I've gone to white dog for almost three years now, and the only thing I regret is not realizing how much money I've spent on ice. They charge an extra dollar for no ice in your drink, but If you don’t mind ice they will stack ice all the way to the brim and in the end you only get half of what you paid for in two sips. When you tell them “light syrups please” they do not listen unless you’re tipping them more then $3. I have never in my life experienced something like this where my husband‘s 24 ounce lotus was completely full with no ice then my 32 ounce lotus with ice. Upon taking the ice out of my 32 ounce Drink I had less liquid in my 32 ounce cup then my husband did in his 24 ounce cup. Unless you’re getting a hot drink from this place, I say do not come here for any cold drinks or anything that has ice. They are going to take you for a run for your money.

1st time here. A Monday at about 1030am. Upon walking in was greeted with a great big huge display of buy one get one free bread! Perfect just what I came here for. Got 2 loaves. Walked up to counter inquired if they could slice the cheddar garlic loaf I'm getting. They can not. I guess the cheese gums up their machine? Ok. Next looking at cookies, realized they have no, JUST chocolate chip? It was with oatmeal as well. I asked and they do not. Looked at small loafs, but again it's pumpkin AND chocolate chip. I want one OR the other. Not both combined. Ugh. Settled on a blackberry scone that looks great. Upon eating though, they is barely any berry flavor. Oh well. Good prices on everything can't complain about that.

They've made it pretty clear they don't care about their gluten free customers. They make a great made-without-gluten bread that sells out, but they've stopped making it. That combined with difficult hours, and other things where the employees just seem indifferent, gives me the whole vibe of "the company as a whole doesn't care about what the customers want" . Too bad, but I'm not wasting any more time on the "local" "employee-owned" business that has worse customer connection than big chain Grocery stores.

Sandos absolutely dominates the breakfast sandwitch game, and my food always seems to taste a little bit better every time I come back. They do things right around here, they use real homemade ingredients to construct a flavor rich and texture perfect sandwich. It’s kinda obvious that if you wanted coffee that tastes like caramel, the tastiest way to do that would be to add real caramel right? They really love serving great food at this place. Get a $4 dollar cold brew 24 OZ here too and have a great day 🫢

From the outside it looks like your typical everyday drive in coffee stand, but don’t be fooled this business has perfected their sandwiches and made it their complete own. Each sandwich is their own recipe, all fresh ingredients and house made bread. You can tell these people really care about giving customers a memorable experience with the flavor combinations and care that is put into each sandwich and item here. They even had a seasonal menu I got this red bull with guava that was so good. There is literally nothing i’ve tried here I didn’t love. Pics don’t do justice for the flavor explosion in my mouth from this🤣❤️ Please don’t hesitate, try it for yourself and trust me you won’t regret it!!! ❤️❤️❤️

On my way to Oregon, I needed 2 things in Spokane. A quick oil change for the car and a quick breakfast. It so happened that Sandos was a bit off my pathway but the google reviews were favourable enough that I thought I should check it out. My decision proved to be a good one 👍🏼 The 2 guys working inside the shack were masters in their own right. They produced an amazing breakfast sando that was nutritious, delicious, and ready in about 5 minutes. Will definitely stop here again... Bottom Line: 9.2 out of 10

I would give it about 3 1/2 stars. It is good, but not spectacular. For Spokane this is great. The sausage was good. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions which I appreciate, the arugula-no-did not transport well. Also, got the apple turnover, it was a little burnt on the edges, a little dry inside, but overall pretty good. Keep in mind their sandwiches are small. I am petite, so not an issue for me, however, if you want more food, this is a small portion for the price.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My Go-To Spot in Spokane! Whenever I’m in Spokane for work, Sandro’s is a must-stop. It’s become part of my routine — I’ll swing by on my way in and it’s always the perfect start to the day. The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent, whether I’m grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy a full meal. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is always friendly, making it feel like a place where they genuinely appreciate their customers. It’s rare to find a spot where the quality never slips, but Sandro’s nails it every time. If you’re in Spokane, whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and check them out — it’s worth making part of your day.

Love going here when I can! They use quality ingredients and PACK your sandwich full. My favorites are the breakfast sandwiches, the scramble one in particular. I complimented the owner on his up-selling (suggesting but not pushy!) and he has a great sense of humor as well. They also have other various snacks and drinks. Everything is well seasoned and they are accommodating. This is a drive through only btw.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! This place is stunning, staff is great . The food is delicious. It's so hard to make your kid eat fish, but she said that fish and chips was the best she ever had in the world haha! Absolutely loooooooove it!

The experience of the Palm Court Grill is incredible. We were lucky enough to get a table for 2 near the fireplace as walk ins (reservations for larger parties needed!) The staff is lovely and provides excellent service. We shared the cheese, steak, and shrimp appetizer (appetizer trio) and the gnocchi entry. The appetizer was good, but the gnocchi is phenomenal. I did not know that huckleberries are year round in Spokane. I suggest the huckleberry themed drink on the menu (vodka based, I believe). Very tasty! The history around the building is incredible, the ballrooms and provided historic information made this a very special experience.

What a great place to have a cocktail and something to eat. The service couldn't be better. The drinks are absolutely amazing.

Their website indicated brunch/lunch Monday through Friday, but on Tuesday mid-day it was lunch only. That was a little dissapointing, we got over it quick with the food, service, and atmosphere being great. Kid friendly, grilled cheese had way too much cheese, but this didn't stop eating it. Adult food was amazing, the interior is beautiful, walking around inside checking out the ballroom, etc. was nice as well as reading about the history of the place. We parked on the street, but were told that we could have parked at the hotel and had our parking validated at the restaurant.

We had the cougar gold cheese dip. It lived up to all the hype and was marvelous. It would feed four people easily. It was a lot for two people. Then we split the ribeye which was cooked perfectly, with a delicious wood fire smoked flavor. The asparagus was good and the cooked tomatoes melted in your mouth. The mashed potatoes were good, a little dry and the mushroom sauce was a nice compliment to the steak. Service was excellent, staff was very attentive and checked on us regularly. The kitchen did take awhile to get the entre out. However, it gave us time to soak in the beautiful setting of the restaurant. I had made reservations and we got sat right next to the fire, which was an enchanting experience. Only recommendations I could really make, is if a couple splits a steak, cut the steak into two pieces before cooking it, to make sure all the sides get a nice sear. I’ve been to other places that do this and was surprised and impressed. Another reason to do this is your supposed to rest a steak 10 minutes before cutting into it and I have no idea if the kitchen did that or not. Overall great Spokane experience and would definitely recommend to anyone for a romantic evening.

What a disappointing meal we had at the Davenport Palm Court Grill over the weekend. Yes, the atmosphere was beautiful, the service was good but the food left a lot to be desired. We had the "modern" crab Louie salad which was a chopped/mixed version of the original. It had plenty of crabmeat but beyond that it was not flavorful. The "famous house made Louis dressing" tasted more like plain olive oil. I ordered the smoked salmon ravioli florentine. The ravioli tasted like raw dough, it was drenched in way too many sundried tomatoes and the supposed spinach lemon wine sauce tasted and looked like the oil that had been in the jar of marinated, sun-dried tomatoes. My husband had the prime rib which he said tasted like it had been frozen and then reheated....definitely not what he expected after one of the servers had previously proclaimed it to be the best in town. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the Palm Court Grill.

Ambience is beautiful! There was lovely live guitar music. I loved the Strawberry Fields cocktail and 3 scoops sundae with chocolate bark! My husband enjoyed the Crab Benedict. The stuffed avocado was a little too small and I wanted to eat lunch but, it wasn't offered this Sunday. Overall, I would eat here again!

I meet up with friends for breakfast at the Palm Court during the Christmas Tree Elegance display at the Davenport. It never disappoints. The staff is always helpful in working with me with our group In the "hit and miss" food industry, it is always a joy to have customer service and food hit a score of 10, kudos and high 5s!! Our server, Jacob, was amazing! The food was great and his attention to detail for our group, was impressive. I am a return patron. On this day I got the crab stuffed avocado, generously filled with crab and served with a side of fresh greens. A very filling and refreshing dish!

Known for its all-you-can-eat American fare, Golden Corral Buffet & Grill is a popular family-friendly buffet chain. Recently renovated, the restaurant was extremely clean and well run - with attentive waitstaff and delicious food. Highly rated by customers, the restaurant is a go-to for American food lovers of all ages. Banana pudding is a must try!
My wife and I try to come to Golden Corral monthly to treat ourselves to the wide selection of tasty foods. We came for breakfast on Saturday at 9am and it wasn't busy at all. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty! The floors were clean and our waitress brought our drinks as soon as we sat down. My favorite breakfast foods are definitely the eggs, bacon, and chicken fried steak. The selection of sweet and savory foods are really impressive given the price point. Can't wait to come here again! Next time, I want to try more dessert items and maybe some milk. The brownies are also delicious.

My fiancé and I tried golden corral for the first time tonight, thinking it might be great. Absolutely not! the plates they have “clean” for people to use for their food were dirty had crusty food on half of them. we lost our appetite from the start. everything was very bland and mushy, the mac and cheese was so overdone, we asked for medium rare are got very overcooked steak. everything looked very unappealing. the ice cream was literally liquid. we should have got our money back but hey we tried it and didn’t like it. now we know! the only good thing was the clam chowder and the water lol. $43 for very nasty food.
Alex G — Google review
For about $20 per person after tax, you encounter a decent selection of food ranging from fried shrimp and steak to tacos and dessert. You can eat enough to get your moneys worth but nothing really stood out for me. It was more filling than return-worthy. Luckily, our waitress did an amazing job at making the experience better for our family. Thank you for having us !
G S — Google review
Definitely not for me. We went during prime time—2pm on a Sunday—and it was packed. You have to wait in line to pay before being seated, which already feels chaotic. There was a large group ahead of us who apparently had a reservation, but none of them seemed to communicate that with each other. Most of them still stood in the long line while the staff held a table for them for over 30 minutes. Then, after all that, a server let them cut the line and go right in. It was confusing and kind of comical to watch. The restaurant itself was just okay. Most of the food was cold, bland , gross and the cleanliness wasn’t great. The best part was the key lime pie—which was clearly frozen, but at least tasted decent. Overall, not somewhere I’d return to.

Really impressive western style buffet. First time to try it during speak break at Spokane, the environment, the food, the service people are better than expected. Huge choices no matter you like salad, pasta, pizza, taco, meats. Environment is spacious and clean, not noisy. Many seats and areas you can choose. Even for birthday party. Price is fare and reasonable. If you eat a piece of beef, the price is deserved. If you love western buffet, this is right place for family and friends. You are affordable these wonderful food choices. Will recommend to my friends if they tour at Spokane .
Melissa M — Google review
All of the many foods we tried right down to the fruit were bland at best. Your choices were Taco bar and hamburger bar.. with a pot roast thrown in for good measure, I guess. All of the fruit had been frozen. See picture of strawberry. The biscuits, it appeared, had been deep fried. $40 down the drain. (Party of Two). This reminded me of Instatution food. We would have been better off staying home and eating top ramen.

I like Golden Corral as it's a buffet style restaurant. I think the food is very salt heavy. The service is good. The bathroom was clean. It's a good place to go for comfort food. I like the steak. The price is good.

Denny's is a popular casual restaurant chain that offers classic American comfort food, including breakfast all day. Many customers visit this particular Denny's for brunch on Sundays and are consistently satisfied with the quality of both the food and service. Even during busy times or when there are staff shortages, the employees remain professional and ensure that customers receive excellent service. The wait time is minimal as guests are promptly seated upon arrival, and attentive servers take their orders promptly.

It's a typical Denny's. The food is decent. The service is ok, although they are almost always understaffed it seems. The bathroom was clean but the paper towel dispenser wasn't working. The prices have gone up but the portions are still pretty good. It's close to the Airport so whenever one of our kids flies in we stop there to eat.

Nice and clean interior. Service is friendly and prompt. The items we tried were the Chicken Bourbon Skillet and the Santa Fe Skillet. The chicken was off for some strange reason. It was very rubbery. It wasn’t dry, but it just felt like rubber. The Santa Fe skillet was on par. For dessert, we tried the Brownie sundae with Oreo. It was great!

This Denny’s is one of my favorites. The staff is really friendly and attentive. The food comes out quickly, accurately and it’s tasty. They do offer free breakfast vouchers to the hotel next-door so if you happen to arrive right when that starts, it can be busy. I believe it’s 7 AM most days.

Saw a recent comment where someone said that they had great service, but unfortunately, it sounds like they misheard their server. I am certain of it. Maybe it was the noise or because sometimes he is soft spoken, but he is wonderful and would never say that. Wouldn't even say that about a penny. He's a child of God and a good man. Sorry to that person whoever that was, I'm sure Brian would love for you to know that is not what he said. I apologize for any confusion.

A gem in Spokane, Rockwood Bakery is a must-visit spot. Their coffee is spectacular, and the food is just as impressive—everything I tried was absolutely delicious. Great coffee shop! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and really made us feel comfortable. The coffee and pastries were delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. A gentleman with a mustache took our order, he was fantastic. We also chatted with the cashier, she was super sweet and had such a bubbly personality. (wish we had asked their names!) We mentioned we were visiting the town, and she told us she had moved here a few years ago. She even shared some great feedback and recommendations on places to visit, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience and we truly enjoyed our visit. Highly recommend!

Food would be 5 stars but the quiche crust was overbaked and the texture of the quiche was not great. The cinammon scone was AMAZING, coffee was good, seating was easy to find, the neighborhood is super cute, stopped by on the way to Manito Park.

Stopped by here on my lunch break and I'm glad I did but also afraid I will be coming back far too often lol. The cinnamon rolls are possibly the best I've ever had. They're crispy like a danish yet perfectly buttery soft, just mouthwatering. And the zucchini walnut bread was heavenly. As well as the cookie. Everything tastes so fresh and home baked and is very filling. The people up front are friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning to this place.

Frankie Doodle's is a well-established diner, easily spotted by its occasionally unsynchronized blinking sign. While not a fancy establishment, it offers generous portions of food and an enormous cinnamon roll that dwarfs even the largest appetite. The restaurant has garnered praise for its old-school charm and extensive menu, catering to all types of diners, from the ravenous to the elderly. Visitors have described their breakfast as tasty and appropriately sized.
Something about brown-glazed ceramic coffee mugs and amber-toned plastic cups in an old-fashioned diner that screams comfort and nostalgia. The menu is vast. The food was cooked, perfect to my order-- Hashbrowns extra crispy, please! Nailed it. I ordered the Spinach Bacon Omelette, add mushrooms. The hollandaise that topped the omelet was set well, no breaks in the sauce, perfectly palatable. It's great that they offer many bread options. I chose a bagel with cream cheese, but they also offered toast, biscuit, English muffins, and other sweet muffin choices. This is not my first visit to Frankie Doodle's, so I feel confident to attest to their consistently great food, service, and nostalgic atmosphere. Long live the classic diner!

Classic American diner. I had eggs, hasbrowns and toast, which were all good! The hasbrowns were nice and crispy but a little soggy with cooking oil. I ordered a cinnamon roll to go. It was huge and delicious! Service was fantastic!

I have driven by this place a bajillion times on the freeway for years, but it never seemed convenient to try until recently. This place was probably very nice once, but the decor and upholstery don't look like they have been updated since the late 80s. When I walked in I was told to sit wherever I liked. All good, but the staff was having a little gossip session and it took probably 10 minutes or more before the waitress took the ten steps to ask if I wanted coffee and to bring me a menu. On the plus side, she brought me my own coffee carafe so I didn't have to worry about drive by refills ruining my coffee/creamer/sugar ratio. But then it took another 10 minutes for her to come take my order. I want to note it was very much not busy. I had given the international signal for being ready to order by putting my menu down on the table away from me, but it still took a while. When I got my food, my waffle was near perfect outside, but most definitely NOT done in the inside. Either their waffle maker is busted or the temp is set wrong, but I only had a few bites and then gave up out of fear of being ill. While my waitress was friendly enough, I only saw her one other time to check how everything was. She was mostly chatting with the rather cranky sounding cook. Well, at least now I can say I have been here and don't need to worry about coming back.

I had an amazing breakfast at Frankie Doodle over Labor Day weekend! Even though there was only one server working, she did an incredible job keeping up with everyone and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was fresh, tasty, and really hit the spot. I was impressed with how smoothly everything ran despite it being a busy holiday. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying breakfast!

First, this is OLD SCHOOL. Don't expect 2025 decor... you're stepping back in time to 1970. The food was very good, very home style. Mashed potatoes with chunks of potato in them. Meat loaf was good. Chicken fried steak was VERY very good (I'm ordering it next time). Finished with apple pie, made in house, with LOTS of apples, a great crust, and a good bit of cinnamon with the apples. Get it heated with ice cream; you'll be glad you did. We will *definitely * be back.

The Grand Restaurant and Lounge is a spacious, modern dining option located within The Davenport Grand Hotel. It offers an American menu with a contemporary twist and serves as the hotel's signature restaurant. The executive chef, Ian Wingate, brings his Pacific Rim influences to the menu, featuring dishes like Hawaiian-style ahi tuna poke and orange-spiced tofu stir-fry alongside Inland Northwest staples such as grilled wild salmon.
I had a light dinner and a few drinks here. The bartender, Crystal, is an absolute gem. My old fashioned was perfect. I had a soup (salmon chowder) and the berry salad. Both great. This is a lovely place with just the right atmosphere. Could be date night, a drink after a game or a show, or just a night cap.

Who can ask for a better spot than this in Spokane? Situated in a prime location overlooking the park with a swanky setup, the Grand Terrace Bar is almost hidden from the guests of The Davenport Grand. Finding it next to the fitness center (ironic) you step out onto a large patio decked out in burnt orange umbrellas and muted grays. Flowers adorn the edge and corners and a glass railings provide ample views. Fire pits line the middle and the bar can be found at the end just inside a set of double doors. Casey, the bartender, was fantastic! Super friendly, happy to offer suggestions for the neighborhood, and he made great drinks on top of it. Whether you are staying at the Davenport or not, I highly recommend checking out this bar.

They have garnered positive feedback for their impressive performance despite being understaffed, earning them five stars across the board. Although it may have taken slightly longer to receive coffee or place orders, this was not due to any fault or responsibility of the hardworking staff present. In fact, they deserve extra recognition for their exceptional service in promptly delivering orders even during peak hours.

I normally don't leave reviews on restaurants but this last experience really irritated me. I did an online order on mother's day which I knew I'd have to wait longer to pick up my food but that was fine. Did the order, picked it up (guy upfront was nice), and left. When I got home my order was completely messed up. I ordered the strawberry creme crepes combo for my wife. Her food issues were: no creme for the crepes, bacon was 100% fat and didn't look cooked, and the strawberry was mostly green and hard. I ended up going to Safeway to buy new strawberries and Cool Whip so my wife on mother's day could have a proper strawberry crepe meal like she wanted. When I got here's all served I opened mine up to find mine was also messed up. I ordered the chicken strips and pancakes. My food issues were: I got no pancakes and got three chicken strips instead of four. I ended up calling the store and I got blamed for leaving the pancakes behind even though I told the manager lady the guy up front handed me the back and said that was all out food. She also said nothing about the bacon being straight fat (zero meat) and said the strawberries were fresh and grabbed at random. I asked why they didn't throw an completely unripe strawberry away and grab a different one to which I also got no answer. Overall the manager lady blamed the issue of mother's day and that they were busy even though when I was there for 15 minutes waiting for my food there was literally 2 small tables of people there and an abnormal empty parking lot. I've had other minor issues in the past but this was unacceptable. I asked for a partial refund because so much of our order was off but only got a free meal for later which I said I didn't want because we honestly probably won't be back. If you live by this store I'd drive to a different one. Poor attention to detail, management isn't good and blames the customer, and they don't truly want to make the customer happy.
