Lounge
Restaurant
ZOLA is a vibrant lounge in downtown Spokane, known for its nightly live music, creative drinks, and updated pub eats. The eclectic and upcycled decor adds to the unique ambiance of the place. From repurposed carnival ride booths to swinging side tables and even a boat-like structure between rooms, the interior design is truly one-of-a-kind. The balcony area on the second floor offers a different perspective, with tilt-a-whirl style seats adding to the whimsical atmosphere.
Wow! A visiting chef from World Feast Kitchen! The menu was outstanding! Live entertainment was a plus! Jonathan was a super waiter and alaround a great spirit! Full bar, dance floor, and an upstairs seating area!
Bob F — Google review
Would have been a fun venue to hang out at, but they charged $10 for cover with no seating. They were completely booked out for private events, which limited seating. I understand having a cover, but with almost no seating a $10 cover is nuts on top of a $13+ cocktail. I would have loved to stick around but there was no table.

We love coming to Zola for happy hour — definitely the best in town from 4–7 PM! The menu is great, the live music is always fun, and the atmosphere is perfect. Our server, Taijah, took the best care of us as always — so welcoming, polite, and attentive. Amazing food, drinks, and customer service every time!
Anna S — Google review
Live music is great and the ambience of the place is always nice. They have a guest chef or rotating menu. I ordered the fish tacos last night, it was good, not great and I left very hungry. No sides were offered just three small fish tacos for $14. I actually went somewhere else and ordered a burger and fries and was able to eat them all after eating the tacos. Would have been nice to have been able to get my fill here but the menu was very limited and I didn't feel like I would leave full off anything I ordered there sadly.

Incredibly talented "rehearsal band" of individual stars playing on Tuesdays. Unforgettable experience for an out-of-towner enhanced by great simple food and wonderful atmosphere with super friendly locals.
Ray R — Google review
We all loved our delicious and healthy food . The cider was excellent. Ate in our own room as we had 9 people. Prices were great and got happy hour discount. Highly recommend.
Sherry B — Google review
Lovely ambience and vibe sitting on the second floor in a two-top booth that used to be a whirly-gig ride in an amusement park, with a talented sextagenerian duo strumming covers down below, friendly waitstaff, a nice Caesar, and Russian River Pliny The Elder on tap at happy hour for $6/pint…what’s not to fall in love with. Stop on by…

Whimsical Atmosphere Meets Exemplary Service! Tonight I had the pleasure of visiting ZOLA, a gem tucked away in Spokane Washington. From the moment I stepped in, I was enveloped in a whimsical, eclectic atmosphere. The interior boasted of an imaginative design, featuring cars from a fair ride and even a boat gracefully hovering over a dining area, which instantly sparked conversations. But what really sets ZOLA apart is its remarkable service. I was warmly greeted by Jonathon, who generously took the time to give me a tour and share the fascinating background of the venue. It’s not every day you find staff so invested in ensuring you appreciate the essence of the place. At the bar, Alex showcased an impressive expertise in their craft IPA beer selection - a paradise for beer enthusiasts. His food recommendations were spot on, and he even brought out a gorgonzola sauce to pair with my fries and burger. It was not just a game changer, it was life changing. The sauce added a layer of rich, tangy goodness that left me savoring every bite. ZOLA is more than just a restaurant/bar/venue; it’s a curated experience where every element, from decor to service, is thoughtfully crafted to leave a lasting impression. It's the kind of place where the staff remembers your name and your favorite drink, making ZOLA feel like a home away from home. The blend of a unique atmosphere, extensive beer selection, and top-notch service makes ZOLA a must-visit when in Spokane.

Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar is a delightful upscale chain that brings a chic dining experience to the Pacific Northwest, particularly in Washington state. Known for its diverse menu featuring everything from pizzas and sandwiches to New American entrees, this bistro caters to various tastes while ensuring allergen safety. With gluten-free options crafted with care—thanks in part to the owner's personal connection to celiac disease—guests can indulge without worry.
I went on a date night with my wife to Twigs up north in Spokane and it was great. I've been here a few times, but tonight I wanted to try their ribeye. I discussed the thickness and doneness with the waiter, turned out to be a great choice. About an inch thick, great seasoning, and perfect doneness. The place is very nice and enjoyable. My wife had the black and blue coulett and it was great as well . It was a bit expensive, but worth it and expected from the quality of the food, staff, and atmosphere. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. I'll be back and highly recommend.

The Patio, is definitely the place to eat on a beautiful evening. Salads were amazing. Wait staff was very helpful and attentive. The setting was perfect
Bruce H — Google review
This flat bread and salad were absolutely amazing! I had the southern fried chicken salad and I am seriously still dreaming about it. You might be thinking it's just a salad. No what sets this salad apart is the Tabasco vinaigrette. 10/10
Cheyenne — Google review
One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a twigs. The hosts were nice and fairly quick, but our server completely ignored my boyfriend after I ordered my drink. Halfway through his sentence she interrupted and walked away. It wasn’t until after I ordered that I had to order his drink for him and she continued to only speak to me. Then came the food. I ordered the southwest nachos and it was the saddest plate I’d seen from this restaurant. The nachos did not have any meat like I ordered and NO CHEESE! After I asked about the mistake the server greatly overcompensated for it by giving me a bowl of cheese and pork that looked like they forgot about it on the grill. We just got our check and left after that.

I brought my wife here for an early anniversary dinner. As always they were awesome! Thank you Conner and Nathan for making our night the best! And I highly recommend the Crab Crusted Salmon.
Hank D — Google review
This Twigs Bistro And Martini Bar is good for you to celebrate your birthday, dating with love once, family, friends, and any you like to bring. This restaurants they have a good food to choose, drinks, wine and desserts. They have a patio that you can see the view like pond water and trees. You can reserve your table here if you have a romantic dinner meal. Very classic restaurants. If you have plan to go out somewhere this is the right for you.
Emyjin B — Google review
Cannot say enough good things about this place. So the first time I went, my dirty martini was amazing and unfortunately this time I had to send it back twice. I'm not sure why but it tasted off. However, I ordered the huckleberry mule and it was so good! The filet was incredible and cooked just right. I forgot our waitresses name but she was very sweet!
Natasha M — Google review
This has been a very good restaurant in the past. The food is still very good, albeit quite pricey. I do not know what the difficulty was tonight, and part of my concern may have been my fault. I made a reservation for 5:00PM and asked for a pond-side table (outside seating). When we arrived at 4:45PM, my wife opted for inside seating. When she did, I asked for a nice table near the window. The hostess said that all of the near-window tables were for large parties, and having eaten at this restaurant before, she was accurate in her response. She then seated us at a small table for two, one seat facing the bar, the other facing outside with a window view. We waited for 15 minutes before a waitress first checked in at our table (we were 15 minutes early). The wine and appetizers were delivered fairly quickly, but we waited another 20 minutes before the waitress took our order for our meal. We waited another 30+ minutes for our dinner to be served. Look... the food was pretty good, but the service was terribly slow. The waitress was polite, but never offered to apologize for the slow service. It was an hour and 50 minutes from arrival to when we left. I have waited for my meal plenty of times, but if a restaurant is going to charge premium prices for good food, the service better match. Also, I do not appreciate being seated in a cramped table for two, when there were six larger tables directly in our vicinity that remained open through our stay! Why can't restaurant managers figure out that the people who come early (with reservations) should be treated better than people who are not even at the restaurant? First come, first-served? Not eating here again. I can get really good food and really good service at plenty of other venues for half the price! QUESTIONS?

Bistango Martini Lounge offers an intimate setting with luxurious decor and occasional live music, making it a top choice for upscale bar experiences. The lounge is known for its signature drinks like the Smores martini and Hazel Eyes coffee drink, expertly crafted by bar manager Ryan Crow.
This is hands down the BEST martini lounge! The bartenders are excellent mixologists! Never had a bad drink here. Love the staff, the atmosphere, and the drinks! Great work lace for a first date!

Jacob the bartender was FABULOUS!! Great to talk with about drinks, music, and life stuff. Wife and I were told about this place when visiting for a weekend and are extremely happy we did! The Happy hour they have is amazing. Yes, the drinks are priced accordingly (some may be high off HH). Although, Happy Hour Huckleberry Martini is amazing. Pure and simple amazing. You can stay on the happy hour menu and try all of them and be very happy. They also have some top shelf alcohols you normally won't find! The meatball and bread were good, not great- however, I would order again. I can imagine this place getting really packed and the inside is not that big. Thankfully there were only about eight of us at the bar or tables. Highly suggest going here than some hotel bars, if you are staying there.
Mike M — Google review
Starting off with saying, the customer service here is exceptional! Ryan is THE guy to go with. Every drink is so tasty and crafted to perfection! The vanilla cosmo is a MUST try. Really. The huckleberry martini is always another must try. Such a great location to visit!

$110 ordered 4 drinks and curds! Won’t be back. Didn’t know they existed. Small bar lots of red! Seems to have a stripper pole at the end of the bar to the left not sure what that’s about.

Best cocktails and atmosphere. Can't wait to come again soon. Ordered the creme brulee and instantly wanted another. Great experience.

Amazing spot!! Ambiance is inviting and romantic. Martinis are unbelievably delicious!! Excellent service. Can’t wait to come back.

You could call Jake a bartender but what he really does is take one look at you and distill your essence into a craft cocktail that is almost more you than you

I would give this 6 stars if I could. This place will RUIN you on martinis. Fabulous selection for whatever you fancy and top notch craftsmanship and service. Hand stuff their blue cheese olives and make their own round whiskey ice cubes. Great happy hour and food is great! Get their meatballs, fries and tacos.

Cascadia Public House, owned by vegan chef Justin Oliveri, offers a variety of dairy-free and meatless options on its menu. The pub features flat screens showing sports games and serves popular vegan patties like the Impossible and Beyond Meat burgers. Cascadia hosts daily events and happy hour from 3-6 PM Monday through Saturday, as well as all day on Sunday, with an additional late-night happy hour from 10 pm-close (excluding food).
Stopped in for a quick dinner while we were in town and we had a great time. The cauliflower wings were amazing, we got both sauces on the side and everyone was very happy. Dinners ranged from Steak and Fries (fantastic) to Mac and cheese (also great), chicken sandwich (7/5) and a BLTA which my daughter said was "mind-blowing". Service was also great with attentive staff and drinks were run over from the bar quickly by the bartenders. The only real negative was the noise level, which subsided as the evening went on but was pretty loud when we first got there. Overall we were all very happy with the whole experience and would definitely drop in for another opportunity to eat here.

Had an absolutely awesome burger here for dinner: the Trail Blazer was perfectly prepared with just the right amount of heat. Added the 5 mile Fire Fries and I had a meal I won’t soon forget. The service was great, food and drinks came out quickly. Highly recommended!!

The food is delicious! Well balanced with bold and diverse flavors. I’ve lived all around the world and the states but the blackberry Brie burger is the best burger I’ve had. My mother loves the oregenzola steak salad and I had the pleasure of finishing it for her. Delicious! Must try restaurant!

Friendly, welcoming staff with a laid back, comfortable atmosphere. Fresh, scratch made, delicious dishes with tons of vegan options. Portions are huge and satisfying. The house made vegan ranch and fry sauce are like crack!

I was searching online for a nice place to go for Fathers day Lunch. We have 1 person with a Milk allergy, and 1 person who cant have gluten or dairy. So when this place popped up and i saw the menu, i was pretty excited, seeing as i am the milk allergy. Happy hour appetizers where delicious ( the vegan queso i could have ate like soup) the pretzels are amazing, chips and salsa, then we all had different main courses, we had one fried/ crispy chicken sandwich that looked spectacular, we had a basic cheese burger ( with vegan cheese on lettuce) they have gluten free buns but she prefers no bun, then we had the Cascadia burger with the garlic fries, and finally the blue cheese burger sub for vegan FYH blue cheese and garlic fries, a dessert of lemon cheese cake with a huckleberry sauce ( that only had to bites eaten but was declared refreshing) a couple scoops of vegan icecream shared, and a scoop of regular icecream. All in all the meal was pretty tasty and we all were planning what we wanted next. Dare we say at least a couple of us are thinking the Vegan Mac.
Stephanie G — Google review
This is my new favorite burger place. I had the blackberry brie burger and I'm going to be thinking about it all week. We came later in the evening so there were only a few groups. We were helped right away, and our food came in ten minutes or less

Bringing my vegetarian family into town is always an adventure but Cascadia makes life easy. They easily have the best vegetarian chicken sandwiches that we have ever tried, to the point we questioned if we got real meat. The flavors are superb and the menu has something for everyone in my picky little family. The pesto Chikn & hot honey chikn sandwiches were amazing and the cauliflower buffalo wings kicked butt! Thanks for making dining as vegetarians easy!

lets break this all down-- i drove over from seattle-ish last tues for a concert knowing there werent going to be a lot of vegan choices in town, but with a name like CASCADIA PUBLIC HOUSE, i didnt think i needed to stress too hard. and i was *very* right. i got the TLTA, garlic fries (w/ extra aioli goo,) and a small mac and cheese. i took no photos because i wasnt feeling great and i was so hungry, but just imagine the BEST version of those foods, and that was it. in terms of the venue itself, totally cool. i sat in the bar area at a high table, an adorable regular read her book and chit chatted up to the bar. i got my drink order in and decided on grub. i personally dont like sitting outside, but their patio looked hella cute too. a large covered area with a fire strip you can sit next to (im sure it turns on at night,) and maybe some of it is uncovered too? i dunno, i was on the inside of the big garage door. anyways, turns out i was getting sick the whole drive over (my apologies to staff 🙃) and i didnt go to the concert at all. i drove home fantasizing about the food id just eaten and checking if flying over from SEA would be worth it, coz omg i wanted a repeat of that exact order!!! ...yes, it is worth it if you wait a couple weeks. 😈💜👏🏾👏🏾 five stars, thank you everyone.

The restaurant's location provides stunning views of the Spokane River and the city skyline, making it an ideal spot for a romantic date or special occasion. With over 40 years of history, Clinkerdagger has become a beloved favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Our first time at Clinkerdaggers was exceptional. We started with the artichoke and crab dip and the French onion soup. Topped it off with the 16oz prime rib and shrimp and crab fettuccine. On a side note after the appetizers we were full. Next time we will skip one or the other. Greg our waiter did a wonderful job and added to our positively experience.

I really enjoyed this place. Very cool old local, interesting decoration, fantastic staff and outstanding food. My partner and I both had the 3 course special. I went with clam chowder, prime rib, and their chocolate cake. My partner had the pea salad, prime rib and key lime pie. Both of us were super happy with our meals and stuffed.

This place is exactly what you want.. and expect.. for a amazing night out!! From the Food to the atmosphere the buzz of the restaurant spinning around you amazing 👏 Bravo to the team. I'm always impressed when a wait staff gets put under pressure and you see thier responds. The wait staff we got the pleasure of having you could tell had a very very busy night and was a master in what she does!! I highly recommend this amazing restaurant!! But first make a reservation, check and know parking before you get there and the location of the main entrance to the restaurant. You will have an amazing night!!

Without reservations it was easy to get a table for one, with a good view of the Spokane river. I ordered coconut shrimp and it was not good. The battar had no flavor and the sauce it came with didn't help with how bland the dish was. I had to ask for salt because of it. Then I ordered prime rib at the same time but it took almost an hour for it to get to the table, and when it arrived everything on the plate was room temperature. I've been to this restaurant a few times before but it was always in groups and never had a problem, so maybe a lone diner is a bother? The server was nice but he was quick and attentive the most when I was cashing out. I would return for the beautiful views and historical environment but will make sure I'm not dining alone. Prime rib was cooked rare as I ordered and it was enjoyable.

King Salmon (blackened) with couscous & green beans was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🧯👨‍🚒🚒🎆🎇 so good! I also had the Key Lime pie which was amazing. I was a solo and sat in the bar area after waiting less than 10min. It was very busy and I overheard people looking for a table outside the bar area having a 2hr wait. Definitely seems like a place where you should make a reservation! It was after dark but I noticed they also have nice water views from the dining room. Service was good. And food came out in a reasonable time. (Pics a red tinted from the lighting in the bar area)

Our food and server was amazing, the host was so accommodating to us even though we were running late for our reservation. The view from the window seating was beautiful. Everyone made it such an experience and it is definitely at stop i will make when traveling to Washington again.
Monique — Google review
The service was great, I really liked the pork chops with apricot chutney and the key lime pie was very good. The sampler was very good and treated 3 people easily. The lighting in the restaurant gave off a red glow as you can see in my photos.

Fam and I have been going here for years. Never disappoints our pallets! This time around I did do the lunch special with chowder for an appetizer, their new dish salmon stuffed with crab and artichoke is definitely a repeat order for me! If you like their crab and artichoke dip appetizer you will enjoy this dish! Kinda felt like I cheated. lol received two dishes in one. Plus their raspberry molten chocolate cake. It was good but not so molten goodness. I like a good oowy gooey middle. This one missed it though. Nevertheless this won’t prevent us from coming again. lol we actually ate there with whole fam after the Lindsey Stirling concert on Saturday too. Between our wonderful service from Tina on Monday and Taylor last Saturday not to mention good ol Mr. Vincent himself. Thank you for serving delicious meals and the ambiance we will be repeat customers for life.

From the fresh Caesar Salad to the smoky Grilled Northwest Salmon Filet, each dish is crafted to perfection. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this spot promises a fun ambiance with its themed dining area.
My wife and I tried the hotel restaurant because we were given a $20 voucher at check-in. We'll be coming back after having the best meal of our trip. The meal, dessert, and drinks were quite reasonably priced. Our waitress was also outstanding.

This was the worst food ever. The French onion soup had NO cheese on it, and it was lukewarm and tasted straight from a can. The blue cheese burger trio came out as 2 sliders because apparently they hadn’t updated the menu. The burgers were burnt, and there was no semblance of blue cheese at all. This tasted worse than cafeteria food. On the plus side, our server was very nice and the ambience was very lovely.

Good energy at this Restaurant in Davenport, Autograph Collection Hotel, in Spokane Valley. It would have been nice if they had a breakfast buffet. The service was excellent, the food reasonsonable. The hotel ambience with the Safari theme was refreshing amidst the city bustle. The room amenities were comfortable. One safety feature lacking was grab bars in the bathroom, absent marking on the shower to show hot and cold water. Spacious and ornate entrance lobby.

The cocktails were very good. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great. My steak was not enjoyable. For the price, I was expecting at least a decent steak. No crust just burnt grill marks which gave the steak a bitter burnt flavor. The steak was lacking salt and the cut was not very tender. Would not recommend the steak.

Avocado toast was VERY disappointing. Barely any avocado spread on there. Only 1 piece of toast and overpriced. French toast was pretty good!

Food was okay but definitely not great. I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The service was fairly show but I don't blame the staff. There was only 1 waitress serving breakfast so it took forever to get drink refills. The atmosphere was okay, it just doesn't feel like a restaurant, it felt almost like an after thought of that makes sense

I took my daughter in for a birthday treat and a bit of food. This is a beautiful restaurant inside a beautiful hotel with an obvious tiger exotic cat theme to it. The service took forever. It took us 15 minutes to get a glass of water, that was after she took our food order. I got fried green tomatoes. They were under salted and slightly under cooked. The presentation was nice. ( I am from Alabama and have been eating them my entire life) I had the tortilla soup or something to that effect. I was disappointed they did not include any type of bread or tortillas. The beans were under cooked in the soup and it was just ehhh. The presentation was not appetizing My daughter had chicken fingers and fries. They were ok. She told us there was a free dessert for birthdays, I had the lemon sorbet and my daughter wanted Ice cream. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is the presentation and skillfully put together sorbet. It was delicious and my daughter soon stole my sorbet lol. The server brought the check before the dessert, Then forgot to comp the dessert and had to rerun my card. They were understaffed on server's, so I will give her that. Fundamental 101 mistakes were made and this comes from a guy, that works and has worked in the service industry and bar industry for 25 years. I just believe she needs a bit more training, She was super sweet though. I could tell she didn't really have any help as well so I'm not throwing it all on her. I am throwing it on management for allowing such basic mistakes to occur as of the place was not even remotely busy there may have been 4-5 tables total including us. I tipped her like 33% because I felt bad for her. Not to mention everybody needs to tip servers more, believe me I've been there and done that. The pricing was reasonable. I just expected a bit more from such a nice place inside such a beautiful hotel. If I go back it will definitely be for the sorbet. Although they did have an antelope burger that looked tasty and exotic.

I travel for work and stay at the Tower. I have not had anything less than great experiences except for the last two nights of my stay. I tend to sit at the bar to have some drinks and food after a day of work and had great service from one of the two bartenders working. Kaelah was great, but her counterpart Devon not so much. Seems he picks and chooses who he wants to acknowledge and serve. One night he took my order after waiting 30 minutes and left without bringing it to me. Kaelah came back from lunch and took care of me. The next night I didn’t even get any recognition from him while everyone else sitting around me did. Kaelah again went out of her way to get me taken care of. Not sure what Devon’s deal was, I am not high maintenance and I tip good. I hope she did not have to share her tip with him as he did absolutely nothing to earn it on my tab. Shout out to Kaelah for excellent service and not so much to Devon.

Saranac Public House is a unique upscale pub that beautifully marries history with modern sustainability, nestled in the historic Saranac Hotel. This vibrant spot not only features an inviting patio but also showcases its commitment to the environment through large solar panels on its roof.
Tried out Saranac Public House for restaurant week. The food was delicious, I would get the pretzels again! The staff was incredibly nice and doing their best with the craziness of the evening. I will definitely be back to try some things off of their regular menu!

This is a cool space, but it didn't feel like other public houses I've been to. Awkward atmosphere. The food was good. A little overcooked and definitely made to sound more fancy on the menu than it actually is. Example: our cauliflower wings were just steamed cauliflower in sauce. We were a larger party and it was clear that the food was sitting under a warmer waiting for it all to finish. The staff was apathetic and sparsely available. Overall given the quality of the food and service it felt a little overpriced, but it wasn't bad.

Wow. Every dish we had was great. Burger was amazing, fries were battered and crisp, wings were perfect, and the peach and prosciutto flatbread was superb. Great selection and prices on happy hour menu. This place is a real gem.

Saranac Public House – Spokane, WA We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Saranac. I was dining with someone who has celiac, and we had zero issues finding great gluten-free options. The team did an awesome job. I ordered the chicken wings with gochujang sauce (not gluten-free), and we shared the steak and potatoes appetizer, Thai chicken flatbread, and mac and cheese. All had gluten-free versions available and were outstanding. The flavors were bold, the portions generous, and the service was top-notch. Also, happy hour is available all day on Sundays, which was a great bonus. Great food, plenty of GF options, and excellent service. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure.

This restaurant deserves every word of criticism for its appalling behavior tonight. Watching the bartender publicly humiliate a married couple—who were simply out to celebrate a birthday, a 50th birthday, at that—was nothing short of disgraceful. He insisted on cutting them off for the absurd reason that one of them “used the restroom too much,” which, frankly, sounds more like a bad joke than a policy. Let’s be clear: this couple did nothing more than enjoy cocktails, appetizers, and entrees, which naturally might involve a couple of trips to the restroom over the course of an evening. Yet the bartender singled them out and ruined what should have been a joyful occasion for reasons that are, at best, baffling, and at worst, tinged with bigotry—especially considering they were a female couple. It’s impossible to ignore the sense of prejudice, whether intentional or not, that tainted the entire incident. The spectacle left every decent person in the room shocked and uncomfortable. For anyone considering dining here: don’t. No one deserves to spend their money at a place with such a gross display of judgment and a hateful spirit. Shame on this establishment for allowing such behavior—rest assured we will never return after witnessing it. For what it’s worth, I was able to catch the couple as they left and offer them a glimmer of dignity and decency they were denied inside. They deserve the birthday dinner they tried to have, and someone should see to it they get it—somewhere decent, not here. Note: The referenced behavior was verified by firsthand observation, and any future response is warranted only by concrete change and accountability from management.

Went here once after bloomsday and loved the food and the service. Went there last night and both my fish and my wife's chicken were burned black and served to us with no care and no napkin's 😕. Will not go back for a long time if ever.

I haven’t reviewed Saranac yet because I don’t want you to go there, I want it all to myself. This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Spokane. The service is always great and the food is consistently delicious. I’m gluten free and my partner is pescatarian and there are plenty of options for both of us. I rotate between the pork tacos (probably my favorite), the house salad (those hazelnuts!), the Thai rice bowl (spicy goodness), and the curry (very curry) and I’m always happy. the cauliflower is good too. Kids meals are affordable and tasty. If it seems pricey just go on Sunday for all-day happy hour and free street parking.

Nestled beneath the Ruby Hotel, Sapphire Lounge is a hidden gem managed by Ruby Hospitality that exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff here truly feels like family, with bartenders who are passionate about their craft. During my visit, I indulged in an array of cocktails, each boasting its own distinct flavor profile that delighted my palate. One of the highlights of Sapphire Lounge is its happy hour, which runs from 5 to 7 p.m.
I have to say that this little hole in the wall place took me by surprise! I walked in not expecting too much because it was so late, but was warmly welcomed by a gal named Emma and Richie. They both made me feel right at “home” and asked me what I would like to drink. I ordered an Aperol Spritz and made it promptly…they asked questions about how I preferred mine and served me an amazing drink! Emma is super sweet, kind, and prompt. There is no waiting around. Richie made me a Thai flatbread that was fantastic. I almost ate the entire thing and that’s saying a lot for me, as I typically pick at my food. It was truly something you wouldn’t typically get at a bar. Attention in the details and I greatly appreciate that! I will absolutely return, as this little bar has both style and amazing customer service. It was a joy to be able to go inside and just relax and be taken care of after a long week. I loved the decor. The art hanging on the walls was beautiful and the blown glass lighting was awesome. I also really enjoyed the stained leaded glass decoration behind the bar. Lots of thought has gone into everything and looks very well put together. Thanks for a wonderful evening out - you will see me again! -Angela

After the remodel and management change we were excited to dine here again, the menu has lost it's spunk and one of the best items that this place had to offer and a big reason why we, and a lot of people enjoy our late night stay at the Ruby, your "cheesy flatbread" with Ranch and marinara. Being a foodie and a pizza chef myself this was hands down the best thing you guys had. Please bring it back!!!!!!! And to boot you only have three flatbreads and first thing 4:00, Saturday, at open, the "first week" you're reopen, you're out of possibly your best seller??? your barbecue chicken!? I spend easily a few grand a year here, a little frustrated. Please bring back your garlic cheesy flatbread LOL! Stepping down from my soapbox. Xoxo A repeat customer-

I'm giving this little lounge a five star, for a few good reasons. Some of the best craft cocktails around, but very reasonably priced at happy hour. Oh, did I mention happy hour? Maybe I shouldn't, because I like that not too many people crowd this place! Cool music, open air, tasty bites. Yum.

Durkin's Liquor Bar is an elegant New American bar located in the heart of downtown, just across from Aunties Book Store. The bar offers a unique experience with an upstairs area and a speakeasy-style nook downstairs, each with its own distinct vibe. Named after one of Spokane's early booze barons, Jimmie Durkin, this vintage-inspired establishment boasts classic cocktails alongside creative seasonal concoctions crafted by a skilled bartending team.
First place that came to mind for my birthday dinner, the famous Durkins double was what was needed for last night, and again, it did not disappoint. Burger was on point, fries were amazing, paired with the Birds of a Feather it was the perfect meal for my night. Opted to sit at the bar, I always prefer this to booths and tables so I can be closer to my partner, and the bar seating at Durkins is great as it’s close to the grill and the action. Server was awesome, very friendly, such a great night!

Best Burger in Town and Brussel Sprouts That Steal the Show! Durkin’s Liquor Bar nails it. Hands down, this is the best burger in town …juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with just the right char. Every bite feels like the kind of burger you’d crave again the next day. But let’s talk about the unexpected star: the Brussel sprouts. Crispy, caramelized, and packed with flavor, they might just be the best I’ve ever had. Whoever decided sprouts could be a showstopper deserves an award. Combine that with the laid-back atmosphere, great cocktails, and friendly service, and you’ve got a spot that checks all the boxes. Whether you’re here for a night out or just chasing the ultimate burger experience, Durkin’s delivers. 👉 If you haven’t been yet, trust me: order the burger, grab the sprouts, and thank me later.

I don’t write reviews often, but felt Durkins needed recognition from our excellent time there! We have made Durkin’s a main stop the past few years for our nights out. Whether meeting up with friends, a night out, or a holiday downtown, we always have to stop by for atleast a cocktail. While the drinks are always exceptional, we’ve had the food once or twice before tonight. At the time was great, but not real excellent or a standout, probably just an off night for the chef and crew, or perhaps it was us. But tonight, out for a birthday with friends, and had to show them Durkins. And the food was IMPECCABLE! While before we thought the food was missing that “thing” that stood out and made it perfect, tonight was exceptional. The unanimous decision by all of us was 10/10, we especially commented on how good the chicken wings were! I couldn’t rate this restaurant higher. We sat downstairs because we must, of course, show our friends the cool underground lounge. Overall, if you want awesome drinks, great food, exceptional service with a unique and otherwise friendly and cozy vibe, Durkins is a must go to. Thank you all the past wonderful nights, great times out, and exceptional service!

A friend of mine has recommended this place for years and I finally was in town to try—SO GLAD I DID! The Whenever, Wherever cocktail (charred pineapple and tequila!!!) could have been served in a bucket and I would’ve drunk it alllll. The fried cauliflower was so good I accidentally yelped—lemon zest was an appreciated touch. The staff are attentive and incredibly kind. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We came to try to beat burger in Spokane. I love the interior decor, it was very cozy. We started with the calamari , which was the best calamari we’ve ever had. They were made with pacific squid, and there was plenty of them in the dish. We love the fresh dill and parsley. There was just enough sauce to flavor the calamari. The Calabrian chilis were a nice little kick to the dish. We both ordered the burger along side with our beers, an amber ale, cream ale and the hazelnut . The beers were delicious. The burgers were spectacular. The homemade pickles added a nice crunch to the burger, the patties were tender and meaty. The cheese was very creamy. Exactly what I wanted in a cheeseburger. The server was kind and accommodating to all our sauce requests. I have tried Durkins during restaurant week and the food was delicious, and I’m glad we got to try them again.

Loved the ambiance, subdued but so well put together. Probably the most charismatic waitstaff I've ever encountered! And if the rest of the menu is of the same quality as the double burger I ordered and relished, It's no doubt all gourmet and of the highest quality. I regret not coming here sooner. Oh, and the fries and how they were seasoned was so uniquely great! I'm craving it again just writing this!

The atmosphere is low-key. The food is absolutely fantastic. We had the burger, one of the best I've had. The salad was great. We had a chicken dish that was great! But what really got me was that the servers, J and Blane, were great! Very playful and personable!

Your establishment was recommended by a friend, he raves about the burger. I took an out of state client here based on the recommendation and was so embarrassed by the quality of food. I commented to the waitress that the bun was white and doughy and her response was “ that’s how we serve our brioche.” I do not recommend if this is your answer to poor quality food. Good atmosphere though.

We had lunch at the 1898 Public House today. There was plenty of seating at noon. Our orders were taken quickly and our meals arrived soon after ordering. There were lots of great menu items to choose from. The Wedge Salad was $14; chicken ($7) added. The Blackened Shrimp Cobb Salad was $17. We felt the prices were very reasonable. The presentation of the food was beautiful and it was delicious. This was my first visit and I know I will return. It was a hot day, but there were several golfers on the course. The views of the golf course were beautiful! Creme Brulee for dessert!

My sister brought me here to celebrate my birthday and all I have to say, is that we will 100% be coming back. The food was excellent and so we're the drinks. The scenery was also perfect, its cozy and the breeze from the river was really nice since it was kind of hot. The staff were also super sweet and our waitress was Amanda, and she was amazing. The view, cocktails, and service were good. I was really disappointed with my entree (white fish with artichoke topping). It was recommended and sounded amazing, but the cook on the fish was so strange. I could only bring myself to have a few bites because of the jello-y consistency. I might return to 1898 and order something else. Definitely not the fish!

The food is ok, for the price point its disappointing. I got the cordon bleu and the taste is blant and the chicken in dry. The bread service is ok and so is the Filet mignon, however the mash potato is not silky and flavourful as I wanted it. I highly recommend the calamari, those are good. On the positives, the ambience is superb and our server is very attentive.

Service was great. Most of the food was just ok. The ceasar salad was the highlight. Definitely recommend that and it’s big enough to split as a couple. We got the burrata and would rate that a 7/10. It was a little over dressed. Burrata is so good that I felt the sauce over powered it. My husband got the potato gnocchi and rated it a 8/10. I had the carbonara and would rate it 6.5/10.

Never judge a book by its cover! This location might seem a little sketch on the outside but it’s quaint and cozy on the inside. I stayed upstairs since I was there during the week for Happy Hour. Food was absolutely on point. Those jalapeño cheddar hush puppies are popping! Let’s talk drinks - I enjoy most drinks when I’m out but I’ve never gone out the next day and bought all the ingredients to try and recreate a mixed drink. Enter - The Water Lily from Lucky You. Top notch 👍👍Don't fear the variety of foods! There's a lot of options, and they're all wonderfully prepared. Lots to choose from on the menu, from good pub food to more exotic dishes. Love the mid-century lounge atmosphere. The fish and chips had big chunks of fish and the brat had delicious carmelized onions. Would ask to go lighter on the mustard next time.

Went here with my son and his girlfriend. Food was excellent and service was good too. We sat in the patio which my son said had been expanded with more tables and plenty of space around the tables to help with social distancing. The food was spiced well and delicious. I had the bratwurst on a bun with onions and a terrific relish. My wife had the green curry with tofu. My son the meatball sandwich and his girlfriend the punjabi masala. My bratwurst was amazing, I think they make their own sausages and the relish which was complex took it over the top. I had a side of morrocan chili that was equally excellent on its own. I had a sample of my wifes green curry that was also very good with plenty of spices and a hint of citrus. We shared tiramisu for dessert and my son had a jalepeno peach cobbler that was surprisingly good. I've never had that before. The patio was very nice, but there was the occasional train passing behind the restaurant to shake things up a bit. But. It didnt bother us at all. I would highly recommend this restaurant. They have a wide selection of cocktails, but we decided not to drink this time.

I only know this place existed because I saw it on a Facebook reel by a guy who goes by “Spokane Storytime”. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable about the actual Volstead act and what bars in the area were actually the oldest bars in Spokane (I mistakenly thought Volstead was one of the oldest). I ordered an old fashioned and both of them were perfectly blended and balanced to create a very good cocktail. I had good conversation with the bartenders and a few customers as well.

Very inventive cocktails! All top shelf whiskey/vodka/tequila. Great flavor combinations, or just order your favorite spirit straight up! Loved the prohibition themes. The service was great and the drinks were presented well.

Anthony's at Spokane Falls is a regional seafood chain that offers a menu of locally sourced catches in the Pacific Northwest. With multiple locations in the area, this popular restaurant is known for its commitment to serving fresh seafood that is in-season. Situated in downtown Spokane, Anthony's provides guests with not only delicious food but also a stunning view of the powerful falls. Their menu showcases a variety of hearty Northwest seafood and produce options, available for both lunch and dinner service.
Love coming here. Food is always delicious. Service is impeccable and the view!? The. Best. Came to celebrate my MIL buying a house in Liberty Lake and it was just perfect. We tried the trout and the Lingcod for the first time. Delicious. Calamari was on point as was my MIL’s shrimp scampi. Oh and it’s peach season so the peach cheesecake was decadent.

Too amazing for words! We have been to nearly every Anthony's in the PNW and absolutely love this location. The drinks are top notch. Appetizers are very light and flavorful. The Surf and Turf options are a big win if you like red meat with your seafood. The sirloin steak was tender and Med-Rare was exactly on point. The views are so nice just before sunset. The patio gets shade early enough for a comfortable dinner during late summer. Definitely try this spot out!

Anthony's was recommended to us by our Lyft driver. After walking around the Riverfront area, we decided to have dinner there. We were able to be seated without a wait, but we were a bit disappointed that they were not seating anyone on their patio that evening. We still had a good view with natural light coming in and brightening up the interior. The sourdough bread, seasonal appetizer with scallops and rhubarb, and the chocolate molten cake with raspberry sauce were excellent. The salmon was also good but I would skip the seafood fettuccine. Usually I love a seafood pasta dish, but there was something off about the flavor on this one. Our server was friendly and we didn't feel rushed.

Good energy. The place was full whe we arrived at 6.30 pm. Great view from the window table of the Spokane river. Great choice of food options. Well curated portion size appealed to me so I need not waste food. We had an excellent waiter who was cheerful, witty and knowledgeable. Overall, a great evening.

It was my first time visiting Spokane and my friend said we just had to meet at Anthony's. We dined on your outside patio, enjoying the beautiful view and excellent service. We both took advantage of your 3 course lunchtime special for $33. After the delicious bumbleberry margarita, we enjoyed our salad, salmon and shrimp, and chocolate mousse and creme brulee for dessert. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the view was the cherry on top!

Always a wonderful meal and beautiful atmosphere!! We were seated with a gorgeous view of the Falls and our server Les make our time here very pleasant!! He was respectful and genuinely kind. Great menu recommendations too!! Thank you for a great time.

Great view by the falls. We chose indoor cause it was still hot outside when we got in although outdoor wouldn’t have been too bad cause it had a shade. We ordered scallops and loved it. Service is also excellent. There is vallet service cause parking can sometimes be full.

Amy is friendly, attentive, positive, and cheerful even in the heat of a hot sunny day. The Lingcod is moist, and even the rice had a pleasant surprise. My tastebuds are happy and I enjoyed all the soothing textures of every bite.

Nature & Parks
Nestled in the heart of downtown Spokane, Spokane Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates visitors with its stunning beauty. This iconic landmark is surrounded by a sprawling 100-acre park, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and exploration. The falls consist of two distinct tiers—the Upper Falls and Lower Falls—each offering unique perspectives of the rushing water as it cascades through the city.
This is a great place for a rest stop when traveling. The Spokane Falls are right next to a city park. It is clean and safe to walk around.

Beautiful riverfront area around falls. Lots of parking options. We road our bikes around all the trails that meandered back and forth across the falls. Very nice area to spend a day. Many food options nearby as well

The waterfalls and immediate surrounding area are nice and the view is lovely but just tons of druggies everywhere.... It gets really bad about 2 blocks away where every street corner has people drugged up and some walking around on fentinol bent over like zombies... Totally creeped out not safe. We went at about 730-9am...

This was truly a memorable place to visit! Riverfront park is an amazing place to plan a family outing. The perfect mix of nature and city. There's a variety of dining options in the area. The many easily accessible paths allow visitors different angles of the falls. If you're looking for an up close view, consider taking the Numerica SkyRide! It's a budget friendly purchase and offer military and senior discounts, as well as group discounts. The line wasn't long and they were really efficient getting riders on and off. On the ride, there's audio of history with lots of great information to learn about. The only downside is inconsiderate guests who litter and parking is something that you'll definitely have to plan ahead of time. Overall a great experience! Please remember to keep our beautiful public areas clean and enjoy the beautiful views!

It’s nice with quite a few good spots to view from. I heard it’s more impressive in spring when there’s melt runoff. Spokane downtown seems mostly about eating and drinking so it makes for a pleasant family experience. Oh the over 100 years of hydro power is impressive. It’s free.

Been going to this restaurant for years now. Obviously it's good enough that we return! It's locally owned so we would rather support them over any Big box corporations of course! Service was great and food was as expected! I will say for the price per dish I think that salad and breadsticks should come with the meal tho! Love that they supply entertainment for the children and it's a fun environment! Big plus they were open on 4th of July!

Tomato Street – Spokane, WA ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5 stars) Tomato Street in Spokane, Washington, offers a lively, family-friendly atmosphere that’s as entertaining as it is flavorful. From the moment we walked in, the environment was festive and fun — perfect for both kids and adults. Each table is covered with paper for doodling, and our server brought out Play-Doh and even stamped the kids’ menu right onto the table. There are chalkboards with colored chalk too — a great way for kids to stay occupied while waiting. Our server was outstanding — super friendly, very helpful, and showed true professionalism. They took our orders accurately, served our meals with care, and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu is impressive, with gluten-free, vegan, and classic Italian options. The highlight of our meal was the Brick Oven Bollas appetizer — meatballs, mozzarella, and provolone wrapped in pizza dough like little calzones, served with zesty marinara and Alfredo sauces. At $16.50, they were a bit of a splurge, but the flavor and portion size made them absolutely worth it — two thumbs up! The gluten-free rice pasta was nicely cooked, though the chicken was a bit tough. On the bright side, my grandson loved his ravioli kids’ meal — which came with a drink and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for just seven dollars. Great value! Our only real disappointment was the Mediterranean Chicken. It sounded amazing with all its ingredients, but it was over-salted and lost its appeal, especially at $29.35. Still, we’d definitely return — especially with kids around — and we’d absolutely come back just for those incredible Brick Oven Bollas. Tomato Street earns a solid four stars from us for its fun atmosphere, excellent service, and standout appetizers.

So we have a family member who has celiacs disease and this menu! So accommodating. Lots of gluten friendly options but if you have an allergy or celiacs they take cross contamination very seriously and if you know..you know cross contaminated food can have you with flu like symptoms In less then 2 hours and it lasts days sometimes. Family member has been poisoned more times then not at a restaurant (yes we know the risk and weigh the options) we avoid certain ones because we know they are only gluten friendly and can’t help with cc. Tomato street hats off to you guys. They have gluten free bread and is safe for someone with a gluten allergy. They have spaghetti with gluten free noodles. Their sauces are all gluten free or friendly. They have pizza crusts that are gluten free. It was an amazing experience my family member was so excited to have options and peace of mind. We can’t thank you enough

Update: Tomato Street still has the best tomato basil soup. I also love their raspberry poppy salad. I recommend subbing the chicken for blackened chicken. Their flavored lemonades are super tasty! My fav is the huckleberry, but I tried mango yesterday and it was really good too. Excellent service and great food! The tomato basil soup is the best! I also recommend a huckleberry cocktail. I personally like the huckleberry press.

You must get the Brussels chips! So simple but SO good! They’re $5 during Social Hour which runs 2-7pm daily. For entrees we enjoyed the cilantro-lime shrimp and halibut fish & chips. The cornflake breading would be perfect for those who prefer something other than beer battered. There’s also a new cocktail menu with more rolling out soon. The new GM, jay, is awesome. Overall a great time!

The food was great the chowder was amazing great flavor and presentation The service was good up till we were ready to leave. The waiter came by table and said " I'll go get your check" after 10 minutes or longer he never came back, we could see and hear him at the bar talking with someone about sports and other personal things. My husband got up and walked to the bar to ask for the check and got a blank stare at first but after about a minute we finally got the check and was able to pay and leave.

This is a great lowkey place to go for a night on the town. Me and my fiance tried to call for a reservation and did not get batched through, so we showed up and got seated right away. Service was amazing, no rushing to order or pressure to leave after eating. Space filled up quickly on a Saturday night after 6 but was not noticeable due to nice spacing between tables relaxing atmosphere. We will be returning after trying the burgers and fries. Definitely recommended the DAMN Good fries. Returning soon to relax and enjoy some great food and service.

We had an excellent dinner here! We had an early dinner reservation where we were greeted, sat, and had recommendations for drinks within minutes. Our wait person was awesome and had fantastic recommendations for our meal, and spaced out each course nicely so there was no rush but also no waiting. The food itself was incredible, everything perfectly done. It was a nice leisurely evening with lovely ambience. The only negative issue I can think of was the parking. It is a small lot and we were fine on arrival, however it was really difficult to get out because someone parked behind us and three other cars were trying to snag our spot. A slight trouble which is worth the service and food!

The Peacock Room Lounge, located within the elegant Davenport Hotel, offers a sophisticated and upscale experience in downtown Spokane. The bar is renowned for its exquisite stained-glass ceiling and skilled bartenders who craft top-notch cocktails. With a classic ambiance reminiscent of the Jazz Age, it's an ideal spot to enjoy handcrafted drinks and American bites.
The Peacock Room Lounge is a very beautiful bar and dining area. We stopped in to grab a drink before a show downtown. The bar service was fast, friendly, and very good. Their prices are a bit higher than other local bars, but the Davenport is a very beautiful and historic building in Spokane. I recommend it. We will definitely stop in again next time we're downtown.

Stepping into the Peacock Room Lounge is like traveling back to the Jazz Age—its stunning 5,000‑piece stained‑glass ceiling immediately sets the stage for a truly memorable evening . Whether you're here for a pre-show tipple or a late-night unwind, the atmosphere is undeniably vibrant and welcoming. Sophisticated travelers mix effortlessly with friendly locals, and the open‑seating format fosters a warm, sociable vibe . Cocktails here are a highlight, the award‑winning double martini is a must-try, but the creative signature options (like the Peacock Room’s namesake mix) stand out as well . The wine list is equally impressive, boasting thoughtful selections that pair beautifully with appetizers like the Cougar Gold cheese dip and the Prime Rib French Dip sandwich . Service is consistently professional and attentive, and the historic Davenport Hotel setting adds a layer of elegance without feeling stuffy . It can get lively around happy hour and weekends, so I recommend arriving early to secure a great seat beneath that gorgeous ceiling. All in all, the Peacock Room Lounge is a top-tier spot in downtown Spokane for cocktails, conversation, and that unmistakable vintage flair. Highly recommend! 😊

Europa Restaurant & Bakery is an ornate bistro that offers a European-style dining experience in a cozy and eclectic atmosphere. The restaurant features florid upholstery and brick walls, creating a romantic setting perfect for special occasions or date nights. Known for its freshly made pastas, bread, and desserts, Europa is celebrated for its delicious offerings. The establishment also boasts a full two-page dessert menu with extraordinary items to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Tonight's meal and customer service is both memorable and unforgettable. The Europa was busy !! There were shows in town last, days of school and an amazing restaurant that was clearly short staffed. Our waitress Kim while clearing plates taking orders smiling continuously greeting guests she hardly took a minute to breathe but she and her two companions didn't miss a step. Dinner was longer than planned.... who cares; I was blessed with an opportunity to sit down and enjoy the time with my friends. Food came out when it came out and the very small wait was well worth it. Kim, the chef and the other amazing staff could have served me a bologna sandwich and I would have still been impressed by there impeccable service and attitude despite it being busy and understaffed. The food was absolutely amazing but the services is what will have me coming back again and again. Thank you Kim, Chef and the other two extremely busy ladies for an amazing dinner and experience.

Beautiful atmospheric dining perfect for date night. Amazing salmon dip with a perfect cheesy top served on crostini. I do love going to this restaurant. Their chef makes great food and the pâtissier makes some great desserts. I had their meat ball rotolo and the croissant crust is super light and flaky. We also had the chicken, spinach and walnut rotolo and same thing, great flavors and crust. If you're a bottomless hole for food intake then the portions might seem small but for everyone else their portions are just perfect. The atmosphere of the restaurant has the feel of a nice European restaurant.

Was recommended this place from a friend. I was highly disappointed. It started with having to make a reservation for dinner only to find out that 95 percent of the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. Once seated I ordered diet Coke. When I received it it was 80% carbonation so I had to send that back. I ordered an Italian soda and it had the same problem. I just drank that one. I ordered baked spaghetti. Worst meal I ever tasted. Noodles were undercooked and they definitely were not washed. It had a dishwater taste to it. They did let me order another meal which was better. Did get a little attitude from the waitress but I'm not going to eat something that tastes horrible. The dessert was good however. Two people 113.00 I don't think it's worth it. Maybe some other meals were better maybe the pizza is better I don't know but I was severely disappointed.
Jess L — Google review
I really wanted to like this place, but for what we spent it was not worth it. They have fine dining prices and the food was not bad, but not great. There were probably only two other tables seated while we were there and it still took a very long time. I will say the cheese bread appetizer is really awesome. I had a marsala and the chicken was just dry and the dish was kind of greasy. My daughter had a steak and it was tough. The desserts are cool with the wide variety. Some tasted great, others were very sweet. The server was so sweet, an older lady, so I really wanted to give a good review. With tip we were around $200 for a family of four. The area is also very sketchy and under a bridge. Not the safest. Wouldn't be a top choice for us but I may try again someday in the case they were having an off night.

Downriver Grill is an upscale restaurant located in Spokane's Audubon district, offering a contemporary dining experience with a focus on seasonal and locally sourced seafood and steak dishes. The menu features signature green garbanzo hummus, steamed clams with chorizo and roasted fennel, sesame-encrusted ahi tuna, as well as various soups and salads. Known for its gorgonzola fries appetizer, the restaurant is popular among locals for casual lunches and dinners.
Impromptu date night with the hubby brought us to Downriver Grill. We dined with Aydan, who was so sweet. She answered all our questions, ran back to the kitchen several times to check on allergens, brands, and everything we questioned on the meal. Everything was fantastic. They have a cute and perfect little patio set up out back that unfortunately we couldn't sit in (thanks allergies), but it looked quite quaint with their own little garden. Perfect for a nice summer evening. The food was delish, the service was great, and the drinks were cold! Definitely a great night out!

Disappointed in the Inconsistency, this used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but the quality has really gone downhill. I’ve always loved their chicken Panzanela salad, but what we got last night was a soggy, sad version of what they normally serve (photo comparison below). The bread was mushy, the lettuce limp, the croutons soft, and there was barely any chicken or mushrooms. To top it off, they pre-drenched it in dressing—which they never used to do. It was honestly inedible and should’ve been comped. I hate to post this, but the inconsistency has become too common to ignore.
PNWgirl — Google review
Had great service, although it took awhile for the food to be served. Hubby enjoyed his Cioppino; it looked amazing. His meal was a solid 5-stars. I have a shellfish allergy, so I decided on the French Dip, with Beet salad. I'll say it was a 3-star meal. Had my heart set on a quality french bread, stacked with beef, provolone and grilled onion, with horseradish, and a savory au jus for dipping. That didn't happen. It was basically an expensive grilled cheese sandwich. The bread had too much butter and I did not taste the horseradish at all. The grilled imposter was too hard to sop up much of the au jus, which was really disappointing. But the grilled flavor was just not at all what I was expecting or appreciating. Brough home half of it to salvage the meat and au jus on a nice roll this afternoon. The Beet salad was nice, but I will get the dressing on the side next time. I'm a bit picky about what type of calories I consume. This was not my best splurge. Next time I would "grill" the server about what I'm thinking of ordering. But a FRENCH Dip should be a safe bet that it's on a FRENCH roll. Maybe rename it on the menu as a Grilled beef and cheese sandwich w/au jus.

I recently stopped by Downriver Grill and was pleasantly surprised to find a fresh specials menu featuring a 6oz tenderloin (fillet) served with asparagus and a russet potato. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly to order—absolutely excellent. The atmosphere at the restaurant is welcoming and comfortable, making it easy to have a conversation without being overpowered by noise. Mitch, the bartender / server, was exceptionally attentive and made sure all guests’ needs were met. I ended my meal with a seasonal sorbet, which was a perfect finish. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience, especially excited to see the tenderloin back on the menu. The highlight? This delicious tenderloin with asparagus and russet potato was just $39.00—an amazing value! Enjoy……

What. Wow, my experience today was top notch! 👌 The atmosphere was quiet, the service was great and the food was extremely memorable. The penne pasta (add chicken) had a plentiful tangy sauce which paired perfectly with the goat cheese crumbles and seared grape tomatoes. The basil on top freshened up the dish. The beignets were fresh and sweet, served with a bright sunny raspberry sauce. The portion is enough to share with the whole table. This is one of my new favorite restaurants in Spokane.

First time here. My husband and I enjoyed a nice dinner. He had the Aji tuna and I had a grilled portobello mushroom burger. Both were really good. We came here on accident. Actually, I didn't realize this restaurant was here as I got the name mixed up with another restaurant. We enjoyed dinner. Hardly anyone was there, which was really nice. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Easy free parking. It looked like they had outdoor seating, but we sat inside. The only reason I take away one star on atmosphere is I dislike bench seats that are along a wall, where you share it with the next table. Since it wasn't crowded no other people were sitting on the bench seat, so that worked out well.

American restaurant
Cocktail bar
The Gilded Unicorn is a charming eatery located beneath the Historic Montvale Hotel in downtown Spokane. Its brick and wood-lined venue sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. The restaurant offers a delectable twist on classic American comfort foods, such as Crispy Duck Wings with House-made Kimchi and Deviled Eggs with applewood bacon. Guests can also indulge in craft cocktails before their meal.
Unparallel interior. Medieval adjacent … stone walls high wood paneled ceilings, rustic chandeliers and the right kind of framed kitschy hangings in all the right places. It's fun and fascinating to be in here. Interesting craft cocktails -- had the Morgana with extra prosecco -- with compelling names. Solid sides--had the sour cream and chives mashed potatoes (could honestly have used more sour cream, butter, and salt tonight-- maybe just an off night?) and excellent deviled eggs piled high with a lovely touch of cheese crisps. Would order the deviled eggs again; the mashed potatoes not so much. Also ordered the peanut butter banana pie. That was a very nice texture and not too sweet. The bananas had been slightly Brûléed...and that was delicious. Really loved the high ceilings and the brick and stone walls. Comfortably welcoming atmosphere. Katie was a great bartender.
Mari K — Google review
Food was great. The shrimp scampi had a great amount of sauce. The bocce rolls were a perfect starter. The baked Mac was a good mixture of protein with the chicken and bacon, with creamy Mac. Only downside to this place is you are sitting too close to people. We were only about maybe two feet from the other tables.
Victoria H — Google review
Great experience! I said at the bar one night and at a table another night. Great service both times and the food is outstanding! I tried several appetizers and even dessert along with the main course and everything I tried was amazing. I highly recommend the deviled eggs Because if you like deviled eggs, these are a must try.
Mary P — Google review
The food did not disappoint!! From the ambiance to the service and from the food to my company, it was a hit! The Gilded Unicorn has a simple but eloquent menu that allows for anyone to enjoy a new top tier favorite that they will definitely tell their friends about. I think the worst part was the fact that it was incredibly hard to decide which entree we wanted since it all sounded so amazing. Bradley was our server (you were great) and he knew the menu well and had no issue making suggestions when we asked. The colorfully eccentric framed artwork as well as the nearly medieval feeling brick walls and solid wood tables almost felt like a castle mixed with a hint of speakeasy! Come here and you won’t regret anything other than not having an insatiable appetite! 10/10 experience overall but 11/10 food!
Qiana C — Google review
Woah! Everything was exceptional from the moment we walked in. We started with the deviled eggs & tater tot casserole and OH! MY! GOSH! Deviled eggs, best thing I think I’ve ever put in my mouth. And the tater tot casserole was next level. For entrees we ordered the burger & the gnocchi and both were incredible. Perfectly cooked. Highly highly recommend!!!
Carlee B — Google review
Our meal was incredible. We will absolutely be back for the tater tot casserole & the berry lemon cake! The tots were perfectly crispy, even when smothered in the delicious gravy that came on the side. Plus the pot roast in the casserole? YUM. The shrimp in the shrimp scampi were excellent as well. We really can't say enough good things, and can't wait to try more of the menu! Warm cozy interior was nice, too
Alex H — Google review
This is a very unique location down stairs in the cellar. Deviled eggs was a great starter, Ceasars salad large portion and very good flavor. The porkchop was amazing.
J W — Google review
It's down a long set of stairs into the basement of a building. Love the atmosphere. If you can tell from the pictures, it's like dining in a castle kitchen. The details are amazing - and we had fun discussing what we thought was 'new' vs original. I had made a reservation for 545pm and the place was nearly empty. However, it filled up at the 7pm mark. Tables are fairly close to each other and there isn't that many. Service started out great, but it looked like there was only 1 server, 1 bartender, and 1 manager. At one point probably 10 tables in there. It slowed significantly and we had to wait on plates cleared and checks. The food was great. Burger looked amazing, stuffed peppers were too spicy for me but my colleagues loved it. Mac and cheese was creamy and tasteful in a cast iron skillet. Gnocchi and shrimp scampi were very flavorful in sauces that complemented the dish. Gnocchi says sun dried tomatoes on menu and it was chopped fresh, tablemate made 3 comments that it definitely would have been better with sun dried - I would guess he might give the dish 3 stars because of that. Overall, happy with the food and atmosphere, will be back.

David's Pizza is a vibrant, bi-level eatery that serves up delicious thin-crust pies and calzones in a laid-back atmosphere adorned with quirky decor. Located conveniently near Gonzaga University, it's the perfect spot to grab a fresh pizza loaded with an array of crunchy toppings. Their Fresh Veggie Pizza is particularly noteworthy, featuring a delightful mix of onions, olives, peppers, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, and sun-dried tomatoes.
Best pizza I've had in years. A little pricey, but worth every single penny twice over. Walked right in, sat at the bar. Had fresh, hot amazing lunch in less than 20 minutes. It was busy too. I will definitely be coming here again. Oh, try the oatmeal cookies too.
Eric D — Google review
I felt uncomfortable only because I got happy to see there was pizza ready to serve. The server noticed I liked it. When it was my turn she wait a sec and went to get the pizza ready and then brought back to her own table and started eaten

Very disappointed in today’s experience (8/3/25 5:30 pm). To the silver haired man who was beyond rude by slamming our menus on the table and acting very annoyed that we were there, you are the reason we immediately got up and left. Been here before. Service is always questionable, pizza is fine. Sad to see people who work in hospitality who don’t actually like people. Must add it was not busy at all.

Jessica the bar tender is awesome! Love the pizza. Would really rather have chocolate chip cookies than raisin though.

First time coming here. Took my daughter to the Ice Age playground at riverfront Park and we wanted pizza for lunch. They are a 4 minute walk from the park and extremely friendly. We ordered the regular bread sticks and a large newyorker pizza. They accidentally burnt our pizza but had a new one going before we got the first pizza. Even with some toasted spots, it was still delicious. They let us take the darkened pizza home if we wanted too at no extra charge. Great customer service and attentive crew. Definitely will be back! Thanks for a great first experience.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress Madison was very polite, friendly, and informative about the different menu options. Overall we ordered a medium pizza half margarita and half Maple st with a side of hot wings. Pizza was feasible and tasty and the hot wings juice and tender. Our side dressings being pesto and blue cheese. No designated parking and restrooms where clean and tidy.

Steak house
The dining experience at The Barrel Steak & Seafood House was efficient, with prompt seating and attentive service. The food arrived in a timely manner and was served hot. However, the pricing seemed a bit high for the overall flavor of the dishes. The bread was surprisingly delicious, while the clam chowder had a creamy texture but lacked sufficient flavor. The prime rib was decent, although it contained excessive fat and wasn't cooked to perfection. It also lacked seasoning and flavor.
Hey, you know The Barrell has amazing food and service, right? Best steaks in the Spokane area, hands down! Olivia's the best server ever!! Their food is always perfect. See that pic? Prime rib with bacon and New York with scallops! Big thanks to Olivia and the chefs for working with our carnivore diet! Pictures include tonight and earlier this month for my birthday (cheated the diet) their house made mud pie!!!❤️❤️❤️

We decided to try The Barrel for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and our service was fantastic! We had the potato skins as an appetizer and they were wonderful! My husband also enjoyed the scallops with his ribeye! We sat in the garden and enjoyed the atmosphere and had such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!
Cheyenne T — Google review
Wow!!! This place did not disappoint!!! For appetizers we had the crunchy Brussel sprouts and crab cakes with pineapple sweet chili sauce. For dinner we chose the Cedar plank salmon and the Louis salad. I also drank a raspberry lemon drop. It all exceeded my expectations. Best date night we have had in a long time.
Dezaray T — Google review
The food is excellent, and the service. The price is high. I would recommend it for special occasions. Our server did a great job. I have nothing negative to say except that the price is high, but it is expected at this location. Overall a great experience, just budget for it.
Jason B — Google review
This place did not disappoint in their steak, at all. Literally, best steak my husband and I have ever had, cooked perfectly. Everything is so beautifully seasoned. The mud pie was huge and delicious. And the salad was fresh, even the bread was scrumptious. The servers were so nice. I'd say the only suggestion I would have is a more permanent hostess, as we waited a while and things were awkwardly bottle necked at the door. The atmosphere is a nice mid fancy where you can dress up a bit but don't have to go all out. 10/10 new favorite steak place, don't waste your time anywhere else in Spokane.

We were greeted with a smile! The hostess gave us great seats. The waiter was very professional and knew the food. I highly recommend The Barrel.

Service was GREAT, the food however was average, perhaps everyone has their own standards and preferences. I thought the steak tasted okay, the texture however was bad, it was dry and tough. Not a horrible restaurant, just wasn’t worth the price.

Tonight my friend and I went to The Barrel for dinner. We went specifically to sit out on their patio and it did not disappoint! They have one of the best, if not the best, patios in Spokane. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious. We both ordered salads (The Barrel Wedge and The Louie) as well as a Prawn Cocktail. I look forward to coming back and trying their steaks and seafood.

Wave Sushi is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Spokane and craving fresh, flavorful Japanese food. Everything we ordered was delicious — we had the Dragon Roll, Bento Box Roll, calamari, musubi, and sweet potato puff, and each dish was tasty and well-prepared. The flavors were balanced, the presentation was on point, and the portions were generous. Service was fantastic from start to finish — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking to try something new, Wave Sushi is a great choice. Highly recommended!

We were underwhelmed by this place. The fried rolls were passable, but the sauces didn't have much flavor, and the chicken yaki soba was more like noodle with just a few small pieces of chicken. The biggest issue, however, was the service. We arrived at 9:10 PM on a Friday, and the server immediately told us it was the last call for orders, even though the restaurant was supposed to be open for another 50 minutes. It felt very rushed and unwelcoming."

10/10 food was amazing, service was amazing and drinks were amazing. I travel from work and I’m from Wisconsin. I love sashimi and their raw seafood options were delicious but def has a kick of spice which I love. Best thing on the menu hands down the Octopus (I don’t eat octopus) but it was AMAZING! Also try the raw scallops very delicate. Dorilocos must try MEXICAN Street snack but spicy

This place had incredible food! I can confidently say I would love to return here. That being said, service was poor. All staff were friendly but many appeared confused and disjointed. It took a long time for us to get water, almost 15 minutes for chips and salsa, and another 20 to place our main order. Our mains arrived at four different times within 45 minutes, meaning members had to eat while others waited or else things would’ve gotten cold, and staff seemed confused and mistakenly tried to drop at least 4 items at our table that belonged to another group (all at different times). I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone but I do think they have some service kinks to work out.

The food was spectacular. Hands down one of the best octopus dishes I've had. Can't go wrong with the tacos and guacamole! Shannon was an excellent server, wonderful service!

Great food and drinks! We had the Telapia and Baja Ceviche and both were to die for. Shannon was spot on with her recommendations and Dom poured 2 great drinks. It was so good we came back for happy hour the next day. You need to check it out!

Was excited for weeks about trying this place on my one night in Spokane and it did not disappoint. The oysters, ceviches, guacamole, and frijoles were all great. The bartender was incredibly friendly and helpful and Chef Chad was there and spoke with us for quite a while. We talked about going back for round two later in the night it was so good.
Chris S — Google review
Dish one had great flavor. The shrimp was marinated just right and the avocados were fresh and tasty. Dish two was to salty for my taste, probably because of the chips used. I would try again. Portions are small for the price. We sat at the brewery next door (as Zona has nowhere to sit) but the bartender did not come by so we did not order a drink. She saw us but no effort/engery to come over. Very odd. Second trip was amazing. Spicy margarita hits the spot. Ceveche was amazing as well as the carnitas.
Angela M — Google review
Was my first time here and I will definitely come back. The food is exceptional, I had the tuna peanut tostadas and the oyster shots, dont be intimidated by the quail egg in the shot, it was so delicious and flavorful. The owner/chef really knows what he’s doing. Oh and the mango margarita was amazing too.

Birthday Dinner turned out to be amazing! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very nice. We sat outside because it was a full house! Their pizza is also very good. I like that you can see their brick oven as soon as you walk in. We had a great evening.

During my stay in Spokane, a colleague recommended I try the fancy burger at this spot for dinner. The restaurant was about half full when I arrived, with a lively but comfortable atmosphere. Since I was dining alone, I was seated at the counter. While that makes sense, I personally prefer table seating—having the option would have been appreciated. I ordered the fancy burger and a pineapple daiquiri drink. The burger lived up to its name: visually appealing and packed with flavor. The drink was refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. Service was smooth, and overall, I had a satisfying dining experience. I'd like to come back with someone next time and enjoy a table seat.

We had a really great dinner here. Everything we got was fantastic. We did a bunch of appetizers, wings, Hungarian peppers (which were my favorite), and the heirloom tomatoes. We also got two pizzas to share and both were really good. I got the chicken schnitzel for my main dish, and it was delicious. My colleagues got the fancy burger and the spicy lamb rigatoni and said those were fantastic as well. Our servers were on top of it and so helpful and great. All around great service and food.

I don’t think there’s a better spot to have dinner than this place in Spokane. We were so happy with everything that came to the table. The gentleman who took care of us was fast, efficient, and really knew his stuff. The food may take a little time since the kitchen is not too big, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Do not miss the Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp.🤤🤪
CURIOUS V — Google review
For being so highly recommended we were a bit caught off guard by the extremely poor quality of the booth seats. The leather vinyl was cracked and extremely uncomfortable, especially on bare legs. The staff were extremely friendly and when we told them we were sharing plates they split everything in half and plated it separately which was very nice. The salmon toast was fantastic, I can see why it's a highlight on the menu. Our draft old fashioneds were basic but good. For our entrees we split the spicy lamb rigatoni and the seared scallops. The lamb was good however there was little if any lamb flavor. The spicy elements were good if inconsistent, some pieces of the lamb sausage were way hotter than the others which was fine for me but for a more sensitive person it might be too much at times. The scallops were delicious I could have definitely eaten more than 4! If you don't mind a loud atmosphere and possibly painful seats this might be the place for you, we probably should have asked to move but every table was full, the bad seating definitely hurt my wife's experience even though the food was great.

What a great find, good vibes and chill place. The Caesar salad was special and the Lamb Rigatoni was nice. We also shared the Schnitzel Chicken with rice which was good. Our server Joe was very good as well and very thoughtful.

Five star all the way through! Came Spokane for a 3-day meeting and was so impressed by the food and service of this place that we came here twice during the stay. Since the place is only open for dinner at 4pm, it can get pretty crowded so a reservation may be the way to go. The happy hour here was pretty descent and the cocktails were well made and served. The Aperol Spritz was great! The food was also great especially the over baked pizza which you can see was cooked in the big stone oven in the kitchen! I also really liked the lamb rigatoni and highly recommend. The service was also very good! I actually forgot my AirPod first time and they kept it and handed to me when I came in the next day. 👍 Overall, a great place in my opinion and its downtown location makes it convenient if you stay nearby.

My entire party loved this place! It had a great variety on the menu for those who don’t go straight for the sushi! I would highly recommend the sushi.
Julia A — Google review
A Decent Sushi Spot with Friendly Service and Stylish Touches Our experience at Umi Kitchen and Sushi Bar was overall pleasant. The pricing felt average for a sushi spot, and the food landed in that same category—solid, but not exceptional. We ordered the Himachi Supreme ($18 for 6 pieces) and the Yellowtail Collar. The Himachi sashimi itself was fresh and enjoyable, but what stood out most was the sauce—it was beautifully balanced and really elevated the flavor of the fish. In fact, we found it much more complementary than the sauce that came with the Yellowtail Collar, which leaned too sweet and strong for our taste. As for the Yellowtail Collar, the grilled fish was decent, though a bit drier and less flavorful than we hoped. Personally, I’d opt for Black Cod or Butterfish miso over this dish in the future, as those tend to be juicier and more delicate in texture. Despite that, the overall experience was still good. The restaurant was clean, and service was attentive and friendly. I don’t think we’d go out of our way to return, as the food was relatively standard compared to other sushi and sashimi spots we’ve tried. However, for a small bite near downtown Spokane or Riverfront Park, it’s a convenient and enjoyable stop. One thing that stood out in a great way was the interior design—I really liked the modern lighting fixtures hanging overhead. Their varying shapes and heights—some resembling ovals, spheres, UFOs, or vases—added a fun, stylish flair to the dining space. There’s also outdoor seating, which is a nice option, though we noticed a lack of umbrellas, making it harder to find shade on sunny days. ⸻ Final Thought If you’re in the area and looking for a quick sushi stop with good ambiance and service, Umi Kitchen is a decent pick. Just don’t expect standout flavors beyond the Himachi Supreme.

Great sushi find! The fried California roll from here was the best roll I’ve ever eaten (new to sushi). The gyoza and sauce were so good, flavorful and balance. Atmosphere was modern, but cozy with quick service. We ordered a dessert roll - cream cheese with banana, mango and strawberry that was amazing. I would recommend reservations on nights or weekends, but we were seated quickly at lunch during the week. I would love to come back.

Where do I even start…. We are long time Umi fans and have been going since they opened. However, every time I’m left disappointed with service or something weird with the food. But this last time really bothered me. For what it’s worth, our sushi was fine, this was about the cooked chicken and service. First we were told the wait for 20 minutes and it ended up being 45. Annoying yes, but I get things happen. Secondly, we only saw our server twice in over an hour… once when he took the order and secondly when he brought my ran CC (I had to ask someone else for the bill). They were clearly short staffed and over worked. But the thing that really bugs me is that it was dark when we got our chicken appetizer and I thought it was just super fatty and tough but when I shined a light on it, it was not fully cooked and cool. I showed someone and they took half of the appetizer off. Look I’m not trying to be picky but it’s annoying that we’ve spent hundreds here in sushi over the years, the service was awful, the chicken undercooked and it felt ridiculous they only took half off for the previous raw chicken we already ate. Really frustrated and so disappointed. It’s hard to see because I had to use flash on my phone but you couldn’t rip the chicken apart in the center and it was pink.

The food here is really really good. They have plenty of seating and there's even seating outside when the weather is nice. They have a full bar, and bar seating. Great service and fantastic servers. But the best is the food. The Cooks are amazing. We stopped in for brunch. And left full.

I really really wanted to love this place! The drinks were made perfectly, I loved the atmosphere, but the food wasn't the best. I went with 2 other people and there was something wrong with every dish. (The fries were delicious, though). The fish and chips were all batter, no fish. The steak for the salad was chewy but soft and overcooked the first time. And the beets in the salad were almost raw, which I don't mind, but when they are too big to be bite-sized, it's a pain to have to cut up in a salad. Other than that, I did enjoy salad.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the food and overall value were disappointing. We started with loaded fries and the cheesy garlic flatbread. The fries were tasty, though not worth the $15 price tag. The flatbread, however, was unimpressive—small portion, hard cheese, and served with a tiny cup of marinara that was delicious but barely enough for two pieces. At $14, it felt very overpriced. For mains, my son ordered pizza (only one size offered) that came out with the crust burnt—blackened over three-quarters of the pie. Since both the cook and the server sent it out that way, I didn’t even bother to complain; clearly they thought it was acceptable. My daughter’s mac and cheese had good flavor but was barely lukewarm. My husband’s pasta was gummy, with broccoli that was still raw. The bill came to over $100, and sadly, none of us left satisfied. We will not be going back.

Have you ever fell in love with a local Burger? I have not stopped thinking about the pizza burger on the fresh sheet at Remedy Kitchen and Tavern . Im usually a burger traditionalist but have been on a trying what ever burger special is kick(please see my recent post from chowderhead). First off the pizza at remedy is always a great choice and so is their house burger. But combined this two masterpieces leave your tastebuds proud to be along for the whimsical journey. The expertly medium cooked and seasoned beef melds exquisitely together with the delicious pizza sauce and mozzarella it is generously covered in. The pizza bun tops the burger like a crown of glory only fit for the king of burgers on the south hill. The sides are all delicious but the fries at remedy are unique and the fry sauce is low key the best in town if not the world. If you have not made lunch plans today get to remedy. Plan to take your mom or dad or favorite aunt or the friend you have been thinking about here soon. Be good, tip your bartenders, don’t ask your friends with small businesses for free stuff, smile at strangers and use your blinkers.

The passion for great food and great service is obvious in every detail at Remedy. The food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish is crafted with care, bold flavors, and just the right touch of creativity. You can tell this isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a passion project built on quality and community. Whether you're looking for a relaxing night out, a delicious meal, or just a place that feels like home, Remedy delivers on all fronts. Can’t recommend it enough. Thanks to Mike and team, for doing it right.

This was my third try with Remedy. I live in the neighborhood and so I would absolutely love it if this place was consistent. The first time I had a great salad and a great glass of wine. The second time, same salad, not so good. This time I came in and I must have missed that there wasn’t going to be food and that I wouldn’t be able to get a glass of wine or even a water because they were in between brunch and dinner and their point of sales system wasn’t working. Normally, I wouldn’t leave a bad review about that, but they offered nothing in return as I just sat there….No voucher to come back a different time or any suggestions other than saying sorry. I left without anything to eat or drink. Bummer!

Came in for restaurant week and we were so excited for the menu, we almost had a hard time deciding what to pick. We decided on the wings and shrimp cocktail to start. Both were absolutely delicious (and a little bit embarrassing to clean up after the wings 😂). Then we tried the juicy Lucy burger and the chicken dish. Again, amazing and so creative. This is the only restaurant we have tried that fully optimized the use of pork belly, it was so exciting to get the flavor and juicyness of the meat. Then we finished with the strawberry shortcake and raspberry cheesecake chimichanga. The atmosphere in here is very comfortable, but the real winner is the teamwork that every staff member exhibited while we were there. It was wonderful to see such a team environment and how they seemed to enjoy being there. Thank you for a wonderful night, we cannot wait to come back and try the rooftop seating.

My friend and I went to Remedy kitchen and tavern for dinner last night. It was her first time eating dinner there. 👨🏼‍💼 Our server greeted us immediately, and was on top of from it start to finish! 🥃🧋He recommended my new favorite cocktail (It’s called My Name is Earl, with Earl Grey infused Vodka) and the peach iced-tea was wonderful. 😎 The atmosphere was perfect- We were able to sit and have a conversation without hollering to hear each other and laugh without feeling like we were disturbing others around us. 🍔 The food was perfect! We had a hard time choosing what to order- so much stood out at us! We tried the pulled chicken flatbread and had the Beet Sandwich and Western Burger. So, so good!! 🍟 Their fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and had a hard time putting them down. 💯 Definitely swing by to try brunch, lunch or dinner there. You won’t regret it!!

The menu features popular items such as Chicken and Waffles, Hogwash Burger, Grilled Cheese with goat cheese, beet aioli, and caramelized onions, as well as Bagel with ham, cheddar, and pickled jalapeno.
Tonight, was the first night here celebrating my guy's birthday dinner. We loved the whole vibe of the room. Small, cozy, & comfortable. We went there to eat mostly. The variety of their specialty drinks looked amazing. The food was phenomenal! We'll definitely be back!

We loved this place! The only reason I went with 4 stars is I feel the community bar, the stools need to be more comfortable & it needs purse hooks underneath.. parking is great, food and drinks are great. The service is personable for sure..
Robin H — Google review
Oh man. Small, unassuming place, but worth seeking out. I ate here twice in consecutive days because the meal, drinks, and service were great. Small hidden gem for sure. I had the pickled egg and the Hogwash burger and it was awesome. Probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Bartenders can make anything and the cocktails are top notch. Will be back when I’m in town again.

Drinks are a 5 star. One of the best old fashioneds I've ever had. A lot of love goes into the drinks. Weird to find in the basement of the building, but kinda fun. Server was dry at first, he warmed up eventually. Food was mediocre. Would only go again if in a group thats already going

I found this literally hidden gem when spending some time in Spokane and I think about it often so I thought I'd share some love. I ended up going there twice that week, thanks for being so awesome. I sat at the bar, cool intimate space with a undeniable historic vibe, the staff were friendly and helpful both nights. Drinks are really fun and inventive. Food is way better than your average bar food. They have something special going on here and like I said, I think about it often. I wish I wasn't a 4+ hour drive from here because I'd likely make myself a regular. Additional notes: It took me a minute to find the place when I first got to the old converted warehouse, because I came in from the parking lot side and the entry is on the street side as soon as you enter, but what a cool spot!

The ramen was delicious and hearty, the two cocktails I had were unique and tasted great (Mindkiller and You Got Serbed), and the donuts were so fluffy inside. Would come back next time I'm in town.

Super fun, great creative drinks and food. I really liked the building and what they did with it, will be returning for sure. 4/5 on service only because the place was packed and I thought, service would suffer. However the hostess busted her butt to get us a killer table, but the server was a dud.

Baba Spokane is a modern restaurant located in the lively Kendall Yards neighborhood. It offers inventive New American cuisine alongside craft beer and cocktails in a sleek, minimalist setting. Chef Adam Hegsted's creative take on Middle Eastern dishes shines through the menu, featuring unique items like Turkish mac and cheese with a yogurt-based cheese sauce. The restaurant is known for its fusion of Mediterranean-inspired comfort foods, such as deviled eggs with tahini and Egyptian spice.
We arrived at baba later on a Saturday evening after arriving in Spokane for a relocation planning trip. This will probably be the first place we come to when we return! I cannot stop thinking about the Mezze Platter… just, wow. Flavor bombs galore! The flavors are bright and fresh, the pita warm and fluffy. We tried the deviled eggs based off reviews mentioning them - probably won’t order those again as they were incredibly rich and had a lot of different flavors going on. Not terrible, just overwhelming in my opinion. The service was pleasant and well timed and the atmosphere welcoming. A breath of fresh air compared to the entitlement we often experience in Bend, OR. Looking forward to returning to baba! Thanks y’all!

This is a great Mediterranean Restaurant, located in a scenic area of Spokane Washington. I visited during happy hour and ordered several items from the happy hour menu and one for them from the regular menu; everything that I order was outstanding. The dishes had a very complex and bold flavors, and the service was outstanding. The happy hour menu was very affordable. This is a great place of you are vegetarian, there are many meatless options, as well as numerous meat options on the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Probably the best Mediterranean restaurant I have ever had. Everything we ordered was good, the flavors were bold, balanced, and unique. The chicken skewers + potatoes were phenomenal. Will be back the next time I visit Spokane!

I can’t. Not anymore. I can no longer go to a Mediterranean restaurant and be satisfied unless it’s Baba. This has changed me. Gorgeous little place, could have used some candles on the tables, but clean, and fitting decor. Service was relaxed and on it as far as never letting you be without what you need. The food… layers of flavors that you’d not expect- even in a place like this. I’ve been to so many but nothing has left me staring at my mom across the table wondering if I should stomp my feet or walk to the back and thank the chef. Hit up during happy hour, the deviled eggs are amazing. Had to request without chili oil for my mom. The falafel/ wow. The WHIPPED FETA and pita. Come ON!- there are flavors that shouldn’t be allowed and I’m so glad they are. Never had a soft pillowy fresh one before. The chicken kabob..the caramel.. the chili flakes.. I could drink that. Used the rest of my pita to sop it up. Beef lamb kabob was stunning- almost at the top of my personal heat limit. Had the chocolate pistachio torte.. so good. I will have to come back next time I’m in town. PLEASE GO HERE.

Modern Mediterranean with an amazing Happy Hour! Staff are so friendly, the atmosphere is inviting, and there was an array of small bite tasting options on the 3-5 menu- Try everything! The vegan options here are plentiful, the dishes are fresh, creative and packed with flavor. Highly recommend the smoky Baba Ghanoush and charred Oyster Mushroom Souvlaki Skewer.
Jaime M — Google review
Trying out this Mediterranean fusion restaurant certainly didn't disappoint. My party of four actually all had the Baba Bowl (mine had kofta kabob) and they were delicious. If you nearly go all out with main entry, beers, dessert, and coffee - expect the bill to be over $200.

I had an incredible meal at Baba. The flavors here are outstanding and every dish felt carefully crafted. • Kofta Kebab: Spiced ground lamb and beef skewer, grilled over wood fire, with tzatziki, pomegranate molasses, feta, and herbs absolutely delicious, juicy, and packed with flavor. • Smoked & Grilled Chicken Skewer: Perfectly tender with dukkah spice, chicken caramel, and cilantro mayo, paired with Lebanese spiced potatoes. Smoky, rich, and unforgettable. • Tzatziki Yogurt Dip: Hands down the best tzatziki I’ve ever had. Creamy Greek yogurt, cucumber, roasted garlic, and olive oil with a touch of tahini so fresh and flavorful. • Fresh Pita Bread: Warm, soft, and perfect for scooping everything up. The only downside: portion sizes are on the smaller side. That said, the seasoning, balance of spices, and overall execution more than made up for it. A beautiful mix of Mediterranean flavors that I’d come back for anytime.

So glad so tried this place out! Fabulous! My first trip there, I got the Rüt Burger with fries and was pleasantly surprised. The second and third time I tried the spring spaghetti - great flavors and texture. I’ve been here three times and I leave happy and full each time!

This is a nice intimate restaurant and bar. My wife and I had lunch we shared the Brussel sprouts and a bok choy dish along with some fresh arugula salad with pickled onions on top. The server was very nice and accommodating, we asked for some olive oil for our salad and she found some for us even though they don’t normally offer it. She also gave us a complementary spritzer drink. The only thing that bummed us out was the Brussel sprouts were deep fried and they use canola oil and deep fry the food. It ruins the health value making it unhealthy. But, the presentation was nice and the flavors were really good. If you’re looking for a plant based healthy raw food type offering look somewhere else.

Was craving a burger and we decided to go there for the first time in a while. The burger was really good. The meatloaf was AMAZING. Best in town. I didn’t even eat my burger I had her meatloaf dinner. Staff was so nice and gave great service.

This was our first time at Heritage and it was a great experience. We tried the garlic cheesy bread, hash brown burger and Impossible burger + some local brews. The garlic bread was great. The dough was very soft and perfectly cooked with a great cheese pull. Impossible burger was great as well, smashed nice and thin. Highly recommend doing the sweet potatoe fries. The hash brown burger was a hit as well. My one comment would be that it is not actually a hash brown and more of a potato croquette (fried mash potatoes). If you are looking for the traditional shredded potatoes with a crunch, that’s not really what it is. However, the burger still held together well and was delicious. The Lemon bar sour was great, not TOO sour like some of the other places we’ve tried. Great customer service and truly no complaints. (Also, 10/10 pesto ranch)

I ended up getting the hash brown burger and it was just bland It wasn't great I didn't have a whole lot going on the Patty didn't even taste like hamburger or tasted like sausage in a way. The Rosemary fries didn't even taste like Rosemary the only upside to this place was the outside seating and then the nice service. But too hefty of a price for a bland burger
Ronnie S — Google review
Phenomenal employees, top-tier food — I walked in hungry and left questioning every other chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Seriously, this thing deserves its own fan club. Pair it with half curly fries, half sweet potato fries (the yin and yang of fried goodness), and you’ve got a combo worthy of legend. Their draft list is fantastic, the service is genuinely friendly, and the place has that “we actually care” vibe you don’t find everywhere. I’ll be back any time I’m near Spokane even if it means taking the long way home.

Exceptional, romantic dinner spot in a fun part of town. The service was friendly, and the food--traditional French and original local selections--was fresh. Creative cocktails and extensive wine list. We loved the cozy rustic-but-sophisticated decor.

I went for their Happy hour menu! I enjoyed their caviar deviled eggs and Pate charcuterie plate! The Pate was not whipped, but had a summer sausage vibe to it. Pretty yummy! The caviar deviled eggs were delicious. An upgraded flavor for a classic standard. If you're curious about Française, I would definitely try the happy hour from 3-5pm.

My wife and I had a lovely late lunch here. Stellar service from a wonderful wait staff. We were a bit divided on the food. I really enjoyed the French Onion Soup and my Braised Beef Sandwich. She was less enthusiastic about her Le Burger. Truffle fries were okay. Cocktails were good.
Daniel P — Google review
We enjoyed a nice dinner at Française. The cocktails were delicious. The food was good but I felt the truffle fries were overly salty and I wasn't wowed at the food given the price point. I felt the French onion soup was the best thing I ate of the food I ordered. It could be I just ordered the wrong things, so take my review with a grain of salt. I really loved the aesthetics of the establishment.
Kara P — Google review
Ok this place was amazing! I have been to the 2 or 3 previous establishments in this space and this place tops them all! I took my son and I ordered off the restaurant week menu! I got the Deviled Egg with Caviar, Puolet Roti (Fried Chicken in Truffle sauce with roasted mushrooms), and the Beignets! My son age 10 got the kids burger which came with fries and garlic aoili. The deviled age was good but overpowered the caviar a bit so I recommend tasting the caviar ahead of time. The chicken was phenomenal and I am still thinking about it. The crust of the chicken was crisp and perfectly salted. The truffle sauce was the star of the dish and worked amazingly with the roasted vegetables and mushrooms! The beignets were crispy and covered in powdered sugar! Amazing meal and service. Oh I got an amazing cocktail as well.

Went for Happy Hour. Sat at a table and had to swap chairs due to it being wobbly and residue of food. Server had a off pleasing odor. The lyonnaise salad was sent back due to the overcooked egg with no yolk though was replaced and satisfactory. Escargot was flavorless and flat tasting. The so called Beef Bourguignon sandwich was nothing of the sort. Was told it was now a braised beef or whatever despite the menu description and it was not good. Steak with Frite was undercooked Even after the lone server who was overall kind and helpful, there appeared to be management staff sampling wines and totally aloof of anything going on. I refrained from telling them to sweep the floor and wipe down the tables. Not want to be the one to complain on everything, but everything was sub par.

My Fresh Basket in Spokane is a unique specialty grocer with the ambiance of a high-end market. It offers an array of quality products including fresh produce, organic groceries, a diverse wine selection, and a cheese counter. The store also features a deli serving fresh sandwiches, wraps, and salads as well as a bakery offering an assortment of breads, cookies, cakes, and macarons. Additionally, they provide cooking classes for those interested in enhancing their culinary skills.
A Hidden Gem for Fresh, Customizable, and Health-Conscious Eats My Fresh Basket is a fantastic find for anyone who values fresh, organic, and health-conscious grocery options. The store is packed with organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, and other specialty items, and the produce section was especially impressive—vibrant, well-stocked, and clearly fresh. One of my favorite features was the poke-by-the-pound bar. We picked up 1.5 pounds of fresh salmon poke, sampling three different flavor profiles, and paired it with our choice of salads and vegetables to build our own poke bowls. Compared to a typical poke restaurant, this experience felt more customizable, more generous in portion size, and surprisingly more affordable. At $20 per pound, it’s not cheap, but considering the quality, freshness, and flexibility, it felt like a smart and satisfying choice—especially for a hungry lunch. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and inviting, with a local and slightly cultural vibe in its design and layout. The staff were kind and helpful, which made the visit even better. All in all, My Fresh Basket offers a refreshing alternative to eating out—fresh, flavorful, and designed to suit your preferences. I’ll definitely be coming back, especially for more poke!

The store is super cool. Awesome wine selection and lot of good variety food. It's almost like a mini whole foods, but even some of the foods they have here you can't even find a whole foods. A nice local store. The only thing I could say is they could be a little bit more friendly about giving the code for the bathroom there. I think you could tell which people are there to abuse it and who genuinely need to use it. Especially if you're a customer.

This place is the best. I love to swing by the breakfast bar before work or the lunch side on my break. And the bakery is a must for a sweet treat. The staff is incredibly helpful, everyone in deli!! The lady up front and cashiers go above and beyond to recommend great local products or a new drink from espresso. They are always able to point me in the right direction with a smile. This is my go to spot for a quick bite and friendly faces.

I had a frustrating experience at checkout recently. The cashier, Sophia, scanned several items 2-3 times, inflating my bill by nearly triple the correct amount. After noticing the error, I called for the manager, who was helpful and quickly corrected the mistake. However, Sophia’s repeated errors with scanning and calculating the total were concerning. I hope the store considers replacing her with more experienced, knowledgeable staff to avoid such issues in the future.

This has easily become my favorite grocery store since moving to Spokane. Not overly expensive, but definitely not the cheapest place to shop. The quality of the meat and produce is outstanding and makes the trip well worth it!

I would give this place a five stars because I frequent spokane often and come here for lunch and the great variety of food and drinks. And the staff is amazing. The only disappointment is when I bought a whole bunch of drinks and asked for a glass of ice and they still wanted to charge me a $.76 that's kind of too bad

I have started doing reviews as of today from the perspective of a bicyclist. They are literally across the street from two major bike trails. They have plenty of bike racks and their dining patio is adjacent to it and short walls allow one to watch their bike. Spokane has a lot of bike paths and I find most businesses genuinely suck at accommodating this crowd in anyway. My only criticism is that there shouldn’t be a curb leading up to the bike racks. There should be a ramp so one can ride right up to their parking spot instead of taking a weird loopty loop around the sidewalk. I won’t dock points for this. The whole parking lot is a bit weird and I think they did the best they could with the space.

Fantastic food! Best fried pickles we've ever had. The burgers were top notch too. Service was decent enough. And the atmosphere is very much for watching sports, not my thing but it wasn't bad.
Lauren M — Google review
My husband and I had only tried Pint House once a few years back. We decided to go there yesterday and check it out again. He ordered the Western Burger and I got the buffalo chicken wrap. His burger was loaded and had bacon, pulled pork, jalapenos, and BBQ sauce. I tried a bite and it was good. The BBQ sauce flavor was predominant, but not so much so that you couldn't taste the other flavors. The pulled pork was good and had a smokey flavor, however, I think it would have been better with more seasoning to really capture the flavor. Overall, it was good but be prepared as your hands will get messy with this one. My buffalo chicken wrap was pretty good. I think comparable to other ones I've had elsewhere. The sweet potato fries were better than other places. My regular fries were fresh and flavorful, but I do wish they weren't the thinner cut fries. Our server was excellent and attentive. We'll definitely be back to try out other menu items as they have a great selection.

I surprised my Mom and showed up to dinner at Pint House Burgers & Brews, on Indian Trail, where our large group (of 9) received superior service and our food runner was definitely special. 😊 The food was cooked well, their burgers are delicious, and they definitely have one of the best Cobb salads in Spokane. They have lots of TV’s so we were able to watch the UConn/Iowa Final Four game tonight while enjoying everyone’s company and devouring the delicious food. This was my first visit to this location, the valley location is much closer to me. With that said, both locations have great atmosphere and they’re both worth a visit.

The food was good but not great. The beers came in frozen pint glasses which were great and the staff was friendly and observant. I will definitely be back

My new favorite burger joint in Spokane. We've been looking for a place that made mouth watering JUMBO burgers with excellent taste. This place was it. Food was excellent that we had to order here twice in a week! Whew! Bank statements are going to read Pint... Pint... Pint... No regrets. See the photos & head there ASAP! Venue is clean & customer service is 5☆s. From family to friends, the food and the venue are sure to impress! Best place for burgers in the Spokane area! Worth the drive, and To-Go is usually ready in 15min. However, I recommend dining in and enjoy drinks while watching games on large TVs throughout the venue. 5☆/5☆!

We got 4 burgers to go with sweet potato fries. We all loved them. They were so juicy and flavorful! I would definitely go back and get that Avocado burger.

Upscale bar food! Look forward to trying something different! Service was great, food/drinks came out quick, and the environment was very inviting. There are plenty of TVs to watch, yet not too loud to hold a conversation. Highly recommend 👌.

Solid selection of delicious food options with half orders available. I had the nachos with pulled pork and was not disappointed! Definitely enough for 2 to share. Excellent layering of cheese, sturdy tortilla chips. Plenty of jalapeño with Chipotle sour cream. My husband had the mushroom burger, again plenty of topping for the 1/2# monster. Service was outstanding, which only makes everything better. Come check them out!

With friendly servers and bartenders, as well as daily specials, The Viking has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
This place is now a weekly stop for me! The Chicago Philly cheesesteak is unbelievable. Very high quality ingredients, soft bread and lots of flavor. The staff is amazing as well, very friendly and attentive. The drink selection is also very large. Highly recommend this place!

I had The Mighty Thor Brisket sandwich. It was phenomenal! A ton of meat, melted cheese, bacon and slaw on a bun. I always opt for the bbq sauce on the side and the meat was cooked so good the sauce was not needed. I opted for a salad instead of fries or tots and it was a real salad, not just a little thing. Huge selection of local beers and I wish I had taken a cab so I could have tried more. I just wish it wasn’t 2836 miles from my house! I wanted a shirt but they didn’t have any. If I lived here this would be my local hangout spot for sure.

My son made a great choice with this place while we were in town. Wife had the fish tacos which she loved and my son and I both had sandwiches. All the choices sounded delicious. They have vegan choices, kids menu and even a Sunday brunch. Beer options and plentiful and if you desire something stronger they have that too. Pool and shuffle board is available if you’re interested in staying a while.

Don't let the exterior fool you, good food, fun interior vibe, decent craft beer list and great service. I had the So-Cal Club and a draft beer. I loved the fries here. Also appreciate they offer wi-fi so I could get some work done. Small parking lot but street parking.

Had a hard time finding parking, the atmosphere is dark, the service was very friendly and helpful, and quick. The food... oh man... ordered chicken fried NY steak it was good but the sausage gravey was almost all sausage and barely any gravey and had so much pepper i could barely taste the steak. The tots on their own were plain no seasoning, but if dipped in gravey was good. The crispy pork belly with pepper jelly were awful. The seasoning on the was bland no salt the pepper jelly was yummy on its own but didnt help the pork belly. Overall I wont be back.

Our waitress recommended the blue cheese fries and the pretzel. We couldn't finish them both because there was too much food but we would be back cuz that was a great pretzel and great blue cheese fries and the waitress was very knowledgeable and very friendly

Bark is a restaurant with a connected pet rescue and adoption center. It is popular among volleyball teams due to its great food and fun atmosphere.
Don’t let the current construction get in your way of a delightful dinner on the patio! I started with the dirty martini and it was great. I usually go with gin but $1 from every Tito’s vodka drink goes towards the humane society, so a vodka martini it was! The veggie burger was a solid option; I loved the house made pickles and garlic aioli. Their sweet potato fries are some of the best in town. We’ve brought our dogs here before and really enjoy that they have a special menu for pups!

Really enjoyed my meals here. First time I came, I got the burger, and it was very tasty! The second time, I got the pretzel bones and the chicken wrap. Both were fantastic, and the size of the wrap really surprised me. I felt that I got really good value for the food, and I love how this restaurant supports finding fur-ever homes for rescue animals!

This place was great! I had both the soup of the day and the daily lunch special and my husband had the hot honey chicken sandwich.

Parking is awkward, because after you find a spot, you have to walk around the building to find the entrance. It makes more sense to have the entrance on the south end. Once you get inside though, the place is incredible! The staff greeted, and sat us right away. The whole place is clean & modern, with a dog theme. If you’re considering adopting, make a reservation ahead of time. I thought there would be dogs everywhere and you could just pick one while you eat lunch. The staff was great, and the food was PERFECT!

Overall incredible experience. We brought our dog with us & sat outside in the heated igloo. It was a fun experience having our dog off the leash to eat with us. The food was phenomenal. It was a bit on the pricey side but totally worth it & delicious. Our server was very attentive & patient with our dog. I love the concept of this place & that they are helping dogs find their forever homes. ❤️

Location, prices and food are phenomenal. The food items are delicious and their brews paired very well with their food. They also have to adopt a cat or dog program in the same building. Ask the servers and see the animals and donate if you can it helps the Spokane Humane society to continue their efforts to rescue these abandoned or surrendered furry creatures.

We made a reservation ahead of time and were seated immediately. Others, without a reservation were turned away. So definitely reserve a spot, especially on big event nights. The menu was limited, due to the Gabriel Inglesias show, however that wasn't a big deal. I wanted the bloody Mary with the bacon, pretzel, slider, shrimp, etc- but was informed that's only a brunch option. The awesome waiter/bartender could see my disappointment, so he got me the drink [without the slider] and charged the extra goodies as sides to my bloody Mary. So I had a delicious drink with a snack. We ordered the fry board, the amount of food was worth the $17- sweet potatoes, regular fries, tater tots, and chips all with delicious dipping sauces. My husband got the chicken wrap with a side salad. He also ordered the Shilling mango drink. Shout out to Kenyatta, our server, your kindness was appreciated!!

Drinks were awesome! I had a pear cider on left it was not too sweet and enjoyable with food. I tried the chicken avocado wrap with sweet potato fries and I couldn’t have had a better lunch that day. 😋 Atmosphere is so welcoming. Our server was great! I love the whole idea of this place. There’s even a filtered water station next to a vast wall of local and imported wines making any wine sommelier smile. Front checkout counter has an alluring dessert case and high-end espresso beverages. Many local and super-local vendors such as Anvil Coffee, hand-made earrings and clothing items. Southeast side has several tables for wine tasting, or having coffee with friends. Outside - several tables for hanging out, and summer-time brings live music! High quality, mostly organic fresh fruits, vegetables, wine, beer, cheese, chocolates, desserts, flours, chips, hummus, etc…and best of all, the vibe here is friendly and super welcoming!

Hugo's On the Hill is a vibrant destination that has transformed into much more than just a bowling alley. With its sleek bowling lanes and cozy suites, it offers an inviting atmosphere for friends and families alike. The venue also features a lively casino and a bar serving up delicious modern American cuisine, perfect for unwinding after some friendly competition.
I don’t ever post reviews but Hugo’s let me down too many times not to post. The location is fun and there is a lot to do inside, arcade games, pool, a bar, and of course bowling. But the service is always a disappointment and they always seem to always be understaffed. I have yet to go in there and be greeted with a smile, and I feel as if I am an inconvenience to anyone in there. The bathrooms had not been tended to for quite some time. The worst part of my experience was the bartender. He skipped around and avoided my boyfriend and me for some time and was yelling out “NEXT” for people to order. He was short and inconsiderate, I was shocked to have been treated this way. My friend waited to be served for a good 10 minutes and he was choosing everyone around us and anyone but us (it’s a small walk up bar nothing like a busy bar downtown). We ended up just leaving and not getting drinks. The owners need to pay more attention to what is going on inside. Go to Lilac Lanes in Spokane.
Victoria M — Google review
What happened to this place? On prior visits we had fun and no issues. This last Sunday was VERY disappointing. Hugo's was completely understaffed, the front desk girl told us she was the only one working and that someone had called in sick that day. She was CLEARLY stressed out and rude to all customers she spoke to. The pizza we ordered was greasy and not what I would expect for the price. Knowing there was only one girl working the entire place I went up to the bartender to ask for another glass for our beers (the girl working gave us 3 glasses opposed to 4 for the party of 4 that we had) no biggie. I also asked the bartender if he could give us some plates for our pizza as she didn't leave us any. He told me to ask the girl working the front desk. The one whom was already rude and overwhelmed..... I decided the heck with it and found us napkins to eat the pizza on. We then ordered two Old Fashioned drinks. The waitress brought down only one drink, and said it was a miscommunication and she would go make another one. We had to return said drinks as they tasted like orange soda and were made horribly wrong. The bartender apologized and said they had been rung up wrong with the well liquor and not what we had ordered. Once the fixed drinks came back they were better, but still not made right at all. Not worth the money, that's for sure! I had to go up and ask for a corrected bill to even pay for the bad food and drinks we were served. The waitress never bought a correct bill to our lane! The lane we were on also had some mechanical issues to top it all off - it jammed and would clear the pins mid frame for people. We asked for help twice, and after waiting and wasting our bowling time the bartender reset things for us. The third time it malfunctioned we decided to not finish our game as the employee's were rude and seemed frustrated that the lane wasn't working right which was not our fault int he slightest. Understaffed, bad drinks, rude employees, and greasy food. Major bummer, Hugo's.
Brianne S — Google review
I would have done ZERO STARS if I could. Not sure what happened to this place. Maybe a chance in management? We had the worst experience tonight. Love the atmosphere but hate how it was ran. We had a party of six, and as soon as we got there it seemed like they had no idea how or where to place us. To get shoes or wait. To text us or come find us. We got different directions from the two guys that were handling us. When we finally got a lane. Two people in our party got to play then the lane broke. Every ball we threw got stuck. Thirty minutes went by until management moved us to a different lane. Both lanes needed a wax, our balls were curving really bad. Using the restroom was completely a wreak, the restroom was completely out of all supplies aside from the few seat covers in one stall. When it came to check out when turning in our shoes, they couldn't understand we needed to pay. We stood around waiting to pay or how and who to pay. Finally getting the check we told them to break it up three ways and they broke it up two. Not sure what happened to the business, but it was not the fun experience like our first encounter with this place. Looking for a different bowling place. Not suggesting this place anymore.
Tisha B — Google review
Had bad experience with guy at front desk. Called and was told you can't reserve lanes. We get there and there are lanes reserved. No leniency on timed lanes. We had 2 bowlers left to finish their 10th frame which would've taken 2 minutes, but we had to buy more time. Waitresses are understaffed when the lanes are full, so don't expect speedy service. But it's not all waitresses fault. Had great experience with bartender. Very nice and went out of his way to help us. Bowling lane prices aren't bad if you have 6 people, but you have to bowl fast to finish in time.
Tim R — Google review
I don’t even know where to begin with expressing my utter disappointment with my trip to Hugo’s yesterday evening. My experience actually mirrored that of many people who have recently gone to Hugo’s it seems. Firstly, I attempted to call on the phone to make sure we didn’t need a reservation for 4 on a Sunday evening. After about 10-15 minutes of calling and no one answering, we decided we would still try and go and then if they were all booked up we could go elsewhere. I almost wish they have been booked up because the experience was awful. The staffing situation (or lack of) was unreal. God bless her soul, but they only had 1 person working the front counter and waitressing, so she was all over the place and complete the overrun. She seemed sincere in apologizing for everything, but she’s was definitely overworked and it was having an impact on her job duties. I had some friends come up to join because the lane next to us was available and when they went to check-in they said that there was currently a 1-2 hour waiting list. They had about 10 lanes that weren’t being used and my friends were told that all those lanes were broken and couldn’t be used, which was odd because when we first arrived, people were bowling on that lane that was now “broken” all the sudden. Needless to say, my friends got turned away after driving all the way from the North side absolutely disheartened because Lilac and another Bowling Center were all filled up already. I’ve also read other comments about the bartender, but I think he really just hates his job. He skipped over my girlfriend and I multiple times and just genuinely didn’t seem interested in being there. We asked about how we go about ordering food because the kids were hungry and we hadn’t seen a waitress for the first 30 minutes of being there and he said we’d have to order our food with our lane waitress since we aren’t sitting at the bar. Alas, we finally have our lane waitress come over and we place our food order and after an hour we still didn’t have our food. Apparently our food was given to an entirely different group of people on the other side of the bowling center because we asked the waitress why we hadn’t gotten our food yet because people who came in 40 minutes after us had already received their orders. Needless to say, we wound up leaving after just 2 games and went to Applebee’s. I don’t know if it’s newer Management or what, but this place has truly fallen off. I went there many times over the last couple years and have never had an experience like this, but it seems to be normal now judging from the reviews. Next time we go bowling, we surely won’t be going t Hugo’s and I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone.
Braden P — Google review
We have gone to Hugo’s for a few years now. Absolutely loved taking the family there. The last 2 times we went sealed the deal; we won’t be back. Two times ago we were a group of six adults. They stuck us on a lane with no extra seating so we were crowded. The lane we were at gave us points on gutter balls and less points when pins were knocked down. The place was incredibly under staffed for a weekend day. I did feel bad for the staff that were there because they were working hard and it still wasn’t enough. When we complained to the manager about the the poor scoring, he said that they were 50 year old machines. So today we decided to try again. There were 9 of us so we reserved 2 lanes. When we arrived they told us lanes 11&12 so we walked over to find another party there. So they put us on 7&8. One lane wouldn’t reset and the other lane didn’t work at all. So they moved us to 15&16 which only one screen worked and 16 kept freezing on us. After nearly 40 mins (which we pay by the hour) we maybe bowled 2 frames on 15 and 16 froze yet again. Once again they were extremely understaffed. I saw 2 employees to work the front counter (shoes) and one as a waitress/ bartender. Their were many birthday parties and the place was packed. When I complained about the lane not working, I explained that we weren’t interested in bowling any more. I was told once again that the machines are 50 years old and that “last night 5 lanes went down”. Just completely disappointed all the way around from lack of staffing, to run down shoes and lanes that do not work. We will no longer bowl at Hugo’s.

DO NOT book a party here! We booked for a company party back in September for a December date and they called 2 weeks before our event to say they "double booked" and they were cancelling our party, when actually they cancelled us to book a larger group! We had already chosen our menu, had pricing and had been in constant communication for the previous 3 months. The owner was unprofessional, unapologetic, and said we can just reschedule and he would give us free shoes!? Free shoes? I am pretty sure if this is your mistake you do more than offer shoes. They should have made it right! We now were forced to scramble and find a new location to host our event on extremely short notice! Thankfully Players and Spectators was able to accommodate us! I do not recommend this establishment.
Cassie K — Google review
This place is TERRIBLE!!! The Food, the service, the bowling, ALL OF IT WAS TERRIBLE!!! We made reservations for a company party for 40-50 people. When We arrived, our room was not even ready until 30 min after our initial reservation time. While waiting for our room, another guest said to a server "I've been coming here for years and this was the worst service and food I've ever had" and walked away. The bartender laughed with the other bartender about it. Once our room was finally ready, we all sat down while they rushed to get the food ready. The room was FREEZING, had terrible lighting and the ceiling was leaking right above where our food was placed. We literally had water dripping on our plates of food. Not only that but our food was terrible!! It was flavorless and cold. Once we finished choking the food down, we decided to bowl. As we walked past the kitchen, a waitor was eating french fries off a guests plate before it was delivered. The waiter even realized I saw him and stared back in an awkward silence. We then asked to bowl but were told all the lanes were reserved. After waiting for 20 min, I asked what time the reservations were for since there were plenty of lanes open. I was told they would be here in an hour. I explained that I would like to bowl until then or IF the Reservations even arrive. He said I would only have an hour and that he would kick me off as soon as they got there which was more than fine but the manner in which he said it was unprofessional. Long story short, the reservations never arrived. All of this comes down to lack of management!! Everything we experienced (the service, quality of Food, lack of communication) shows poor management!! I highly suggest to the owners, getting a new management staff!! We went here 8 years ago and the service was fine. I do not know what happened in the last several years but changes need to be made!!

Nestled in the vibrant Kendall Yards neighborhood, Nectar Wine and Beer is a delightful haven for enthusiasts of fine beverages. This charming spot boasts an impressive array of wines and local craft beers, ensuring there's something to please every palate. Guests can unwind in a cozy-modern atmosphere while savoring delectable charcuterie and appetizers. If you're craving something specific that’s not on the menu, feel free to bring takeout from nearby eateries like Umi Kitchen or Versalia Pizza.
Add Nectar Wine and Beer on the visit places in Spokane. Stopped in for an early Saturday tasting and was pretty quiet. Our server was attentive and she gave us the tour, tastings and great tips for Glacier National Park. The tasting bar is really a great way to meet locals and share a drink or three... A limited snack menu is available with tasty accompaniments, cheeses and charcuterie. Nectar does allow local food so grab a pizza from Versalia or Baba across the way and enjoy on their patio with a few beverages of course. Their wine selection is outstanding and the patio is kid friendly during the day. Canned beer, wine and slushies can be ordered to go. Nectar gets busy during Wednesday's Night Market and patio reservations are highly recommended.

A great spot to unwind at the end of the work week. The deck is perfect on a nice evening. I love the revolving wine selection. Staff is pleasant and attentive. We are semi regulars. I only wish they had better access to parking. Kendall Yards is very crowded these days.

We had a lovely evening attending another pop-up. The spot is cute, however it gets very loud. Each time we've been it has been loud enough that we eventually had to move our seats next to each other and lean in so we can hear what the other is saying. That being said, service is attentive and we've been given some great recommendations for wine. I appreciate that they aren't pushy and they want everyone to have a good time. It's a nice casual spot.

Sitting on the patio on a beautiful late summer evening, sharing an artichoke spinach dip and a cheese board while having wine was delightful! The atmosphere was nice and the service was very good.
Shanna T — Google review
2 star or 5 star? You be the judge. Should the staff get a 5 star for not allowing a group of individuals pay separately? Or a 2 star for making them pay together, and having to deal with collecting the money from each individual that may not have either cash or Venmo?
Craig M — Google review
Their wine is hit and miss, and they have a superiority attitude. I've been coming here a while but after a recent experience, I don't think I'll be back. Serve better wine and be less crappy, thanks!

OMG! This person Keric was so knowledgeable on the wines I was interested in!! Not only did buy 1 I bought 2 bottles of the Chianti Rufina one for myself and one for my friend. I even signed up for the wine club.. love love love!! Thank you Keric for a Great Experience!!

The atmosphere was really relaxing and the service was great. Brendon was very helpful and always checking on us. Tieton Blueberry Cider was great and the Belching Beaver Peanut butter milk stout was surprisingly great!

The Blind Buck is a popular gay bar in Spokane that prides itself on being hetero-friendly and welcoming to all. It's known for its friendly staff, engaging bartenders, and fun atmosphere. The bar offers great drink specials, a full food menu, and hosts theme nights that cater to a diverse crowd. Visitors can expect a warm and inclusive environment where they can enjoy good music, delicious drinks, and engaging conversations with the staff.
We’re visiting from out of town and wanted to hit up a queer friendly bar! This did NOT disappoint. Layla was the NICEST most fun bartender EVER! Give this place a go for a drink and some good music. Definitely will return when we’re back.

Alot of bars downtown make you feel old..to conservative/ to liberal or just out of place completely. I love people watching and talking to new people. I felt at home here with a diverse group of patrons as well as staff. We were well taken care of and had a great time. We will be back and bring friends!
Quincy M — Google review
Wow what a fun place. I was hesitant to give it a second chance but I did because the music I heard from the street was awesome. They have a speaker outside for the line I guess. The bartenders were incredibly nice and so much fun. The bouncers were polite and funny. The music was different from all the other places around which was a nice change as well. It has really improved from the last time I was there. I will go back again for sure!

On the 8th Annual BoozeRun 2018, stopped in to collect our Pin for The Blind Buck, 1st stop of 9. A Hetero-friendly Gay bar that looks like a fun place to come back to - I hear there are dancers on the bar top on the weekends! Connects to the Globe next door and they both serve food until 10pm. One of the top-known night scenes in Spokane.

I dont write reviews often but i feel so charged to write one right now for this bar because this is truly one of the bars that i felt welcomed and like actual family. Being a member of the lgbt i knew i would be accepted but i didnt know that it would come with such warmth. The staff struck up conversation and they were so easy to talk to. I only wanted a drink but i found myself with a drink and such engaging conversation. I didnt want to leave the counter because i felt like i had made a friend there. The environment is low-key, very comfortable and the music was not too loud like how i find other bars in the area. Even other folks who go here are very welcoming and friendly. I would say in conclusion a perfect place for a reasonable drink and an even better place for a well rounded experience. Thank you to the blind buck for making me feel so very good.

Blind buck is great! The bartenders are all SO nice and fun, even when they're busy. Bouncers are polite, the music is banging, and the drinks are always delicious 🥰 we always feel welcome! Happy hour prices are amazing, and the well tequila is actually good lol. Overall a 10/10 experience if you want a chill, yet fun and lively scene!
Holly T — Google review
Went there around 7pm last night and was informed that it was no longer a 'gay bar'; now it's an 'everyone bar' (to be more inclusive) with the new name "Low Key". Friendly owner and bartenders served us standard drinks and the music was good but not too loud. Did not stay long enough to determine the late night vibes.
Jason E — Google review
Was bummed to hear this wasn't a gay bar anymore but we still enjoyed stopping in for a few drinks on a Sat eve. Good vibe, friendly staff, and the DJ playing some great tunes.

If you're looking for a wine bar with an incredible selection, great ambiance and delicious cheese boards, then Whim Wine Bar is the place for you. With curtains hiding the fact that you're actually in a mall, this gem of a place is convenient and located in one of Spokane's main shopping areas. Whether you're with friends or by yourself, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a wine.
Wine was great, and well priced. The sommelier was knowledgeable on the wines and easily knew what to recommend us for a tastes. Food was decent but honestly.not amazing l, probably stick to wine here. Best place to grab a drink before a movie, as they also serve beer.
J B — Google review
Super cute wine bar, from the decor alone you’d never know it was in a mall, in Spokane. Because of the location it closes early during the week (just before 8) and 10 on the weekends. So best for happy hour/early evening drinks. The bartender Justin is awesome and will provide great recs. I didn’t get a chance to try any of the food, but will do that on my next visit.
Carli C — Google review
Fantastic atmosphere and superb selection of wine. All of them were smooth and flavorful, especially the Zin! The Nutella dessert was delicious too. Highly recommend if you like quality wine.
L C — Google review
I didn’t know this place existed until I was walking in the mall and saw the neon pizza sign!! I tried the Frazier (Chefs Special) and it was amazing! Sorry the photos don’t show how DELICIOUS it is! The fig and goat cheese was the perfect combination. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing and they even had an area for live music! I had the feeling that this would be a great place for first dates or a place to catch up with friends. The only thing they could do better was welcoming their new customers, but after that the experience was nothing but enjoyable!

Leaving Tavolata for dinner and heading to parking garage we heard some AMAZING music coming from this wine bar. We could not resist going in and listening for a couple of hours. All we got was his name was Skylar…superb music, love the atmosphere and the food and drink looked great.

I went in for deserts! Probably a wrong reason to go to a wine bar for 😅 They only offer one type of desert and it was okay! The breading was burnt just a little bit so I smelled it as soon as they brought it. But the place is super cute and I love the color combination that is used in their design. Staff are super amazing and kind! Also their music collection is soft and calming😉 It’s a should visit place for drinking some wine and chill! ✨

Do yourself a favor and check this gem of a place out. Incredible wine selection with fun descriptions, great ambiance, and great cheese boards. We should be all be so lucky to have a wine bar like this in Spokane and it is conveniently located in the mall, with curtains hiding the fact that you’re actually in a mall. What are you doing with your life if you haven’t been here? ;) Come with friends, a date, or solo like me eat the entire cheese board for yourself.

The Grand Terrace Bar, located atop the Davenport Grand Hotel, offers a magical outdoor experience with stunning views of Riverfront Park. Guests can enjoy cocktails, appetizers, and even reserve outdoor igloos for a private dining experience under the stars. The bar is known for its Happy Hour specials and diverse menu featuring everything from appetizers to desserts.
The igloos feel like a fun movie set, and all about relaxing with food and drinks. The igloo zips open like a tent, allowing the server to bring beverages. Upon arriving, our igloo had a large fruit and vegetable enhanced charcuterie board with house made hummus, pickled asparagus, olives, Mediterranean crackers, fig jam, varietal carrots, celery, and European cheeses, and fresh fruits. Each igloo has a Bluetooth speaker so you can relax to your own tunes. The igloo’s circular space enhances conversation and connection. Service was welcoming, prompt and didn’t rush our 90 minutes of igloo bliss. Brings your friends and loved ones to this Spokane terrace gem.

Customer service is non-existent. I tried contacting them over a charge I disputed because of a reservation cancellation. I was 45 minutes past the 48-hour cancellation deadline. It was for 12/14 which was a busy weekend and I’m positive they were able to refill my cancellation because the had 47!hours and 15 minutes notice. I was charged $125 for NOTHING. I will never dine with anything related to the Davenport again. They are thieves .

Outdoor Igloos. Neat thing to do during these Pandemic times with every restaurant closed to inside seating. the domes are pretty cool and nicely decorated. Could use a bigger more powerful heater as the the tiny one in the corner only raises the temp about 10 degrees. Be sure to bring a jacket. The charcutuerie board was good. The almonds were awesome, some of the best I have had. The olives were marinated in a rosemary oil that was great as well. Cheeses were nice. The salami is thin sliced and looks like standard deli meat, which was a bit disappointing. Service was great. Had a Bluetooth speaker in the igloo to play our music from our phone. The cocktails were really good and fun to try. Was hard to get through $100 of alcohol between 2 people, but we got within $5 and then took a beer to our room. :) Overall, a great and fun experience.

My husband and I stopped in for a drink. The bill was $46 for 2 drinks. Outrageous. The bartender failed to mention that a martini was an automatic double-shot charge. We’ve never experienced this before. Never will again. Will not return and would not recommend.
Patricia B — Google review
Don’t waste your money. I could think of thousands of things I would rather spend $100+ dollars on. It was absolutely criminal for the Davenport Grand to charge $85 per person plus tax plus included gratuity for disgusting meat and cheese from Costco and deviled eggs. We left hungry and cold.
Cheyanne S — Google review
I took my partner here for the igloo experience. The location was amazing - the set up of the igloo was perfect. The service was also solid. One gripe - it's a bit expensive for what you get, the food was yummy but not worth the price or the 30$ tip that is automatically added to your bill.
Lauren S — Google review
I am speechless about the experience it was absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing it was elegant & divine. I cannot wait to return to the Grand Terrace Igloo bar. I am not a cheap date... 💃🏽
