The 20 best spots for chicken in Spokane

Disappointed in the Inconsistency, this used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but the quality has really gone downhill. I’ve always loved their chicken Panzanela salad, but what we got last night was a soggy, sad version of what they normally serve (photo comparison below). The bread was mushy, the lettuce limp, the croutons soft, and there was barely any chicken or mushrooms. To top it off, they pre-drenched it in dressing—which they never used to do. It was honestly inedible and should’ve been comped. I hate to post this, but the inconsistency has become too common to ignore.

Had great service, although it took awhile for the food to be served. Hubby enjoyed his Cioppino; it looked amazing. His meal was a solid 5-stars. I have a shellfish allergy, so I decided on the French Dip, with Beet salad. I'll say it was a 3-star meal. Had my heart set on a quality french bread, stacked with beef, provolone and grilled onion, with horseradish, and a savory au jus for dipping. That didn't happen. It was basically an expensive grilled cheese sandwich. The bread had too much butter and I did not taste the horseradish at all. The grilled imposter was too hard to sop up much of the au jus, which was really disappointing. But the grilled flavor was just not at all what I was expecting or appreciating. Brough home half of it to salvage the meat and au jus on a nice roll this afternoon. The Beet salad was nice, but I will get the dressing on the side next time. I'm a bit picky about what type of calories I consume. This was not my best splurge. Next time I would "grill" the server about what I'm thinking of ordering. But a FRENCH Dip should be a safe bet that it's on a FRENCH roll. Maybe rename it on the menu as a Grilled beef and cheese sandwich w/au jus.

I recently stopped by Downriver Grill and was pleasantly surprised to find a fresh specials menu featuring a 6oz tenderloin (fillet) served with asparagus and a russet potato. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly to order—absolutely excellent. The atmosphere at the restaurant is welcoming and comfortable, making it easy to have a conversation without being overpowered by noise. Mitch, the bartender / server, was exceptionally attentive and made sure all guests’ needs were met. I ended my meal with a seasonal sorbet, which was a perfect finish. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience, especially excited to see the tenderloin back on the menu. The highlight? This delicious tenderloin with asparagus and russet potato was just $39.00—an amazing value! Enjoy……

A phenomenal meal!! The whiskey-glazed pork belly burnt ends had us talking all night, as well as the velvety shrimp bisque and perfectly cooked bacon-wrapped sirloin. Jackie was a wonderful server and we absolutely cannot wait to come back here! Happy hour from 3-5.

Downriver Grill is an enjoyable neighborhood bistro i keep returning to offering top-notch food and attentive service, in a clean, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

What. Wow, my experience today was top notch! 👌 The atmosphere was quiet, the service was great and the food was extremely memorable. The penne pasta (add chicken) had a plentiful tangy sauce which paired perfectly with the goat cheese crumbles and seared grape tomatoes. The basil on top freshened up the dish. The beignets were fresh and sweet, served with a bright sunny raspberry sauce. The portion is enough to share with the whole table. This is one of my new favorite restaurants in Spokane.

First time here. My husband and I enjoyed a nice dinner. He had the Aji tuna and I had a grilled portobello mushroom burger. Both were really good. We came here on accident. Actually, I didn't realize this restaurant was here as I got the name mixed up with another restaurant. We enjoyed dinner. Hardly anyone was there, which was really nice. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Easy free parking. It looked like they had outdoor seating, but we sat inside. The only reason I take away one star on atmosphere is I dislike bench seats that are along a wall, where you share it with the next table. Since it wasn't crowded no other people were sitting on the bench seat, so that worked out well.

The rumors are true. Not gonna lie, though the reviews at first had to be bluffing about some of the best southern food being in Spokane but I am a believer now. Came in town for work and will be back before I go. Excellent ribs, red beans and rice, really good greens (which I think is hard to find in a restaurant) and the chicken was crispy and nice. I’m walking for the street smiling and licking my lips lol plus they’re really friendly too!

The chicken and JoJo's were the star of the day for me. I would go back for those hands down. The jumbo was delicious but I felt like the green beans would use more seasoning and the mashed potatoes would be better with a brown gravy. Wonderful family restaurant though.

Sweet lil hole in the wall! Simple southern food served up like you would expect. We loved our fried chicken, coleslaw and red beans and rice, 2 of us for $11 each, $22 total (I’m not sure what the negative review people are talking about) We will always make a stop at Chkn n More! Super nice staff too!

Amazing southern food! The fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and hush puppies were amazing! Freshly made food and hole in the wall cozy atmosphere. Super friendly and kind service as well. One guy was working there alone but went above in beyond with customer service, communication, taking orders AND cooking! We will definitely be back!

Straight out of the fryer chicken. Cooked properly. Critiques: brining the chicken in a salt bath would add juicyness and flavor. Barring that, just adding salt to the dredge would help. The staff were personable and friendly. The owner was there and just a good dude to talk to. The sides were good. Greens tasty, BBQ beans tasty, and the standout was the red beans and rice. That side alone made the trip worthwhile. It is a hole in the wall restaurant in old town. So sketchy people were here and there. But the southern fried chicken joint vibe was priceless. Worth a look.

Restaurant is tucked away downtown. Easy to miss but you don't want to miss this place. The food is straight Fire, talking about premium gas right here. For my elders that means the food is really good. The man at the counter was super awesome. The owners Grandson was not very photogenic he also said this place has enough 5 star reviews they didn't need mine.

I didn’t choose to be in Spokane, but am damn glad that I ended up on a trip here because otherwise I’d never had got to try Chicken N More! Got the 10 oz. chicken fried steak w/ a side of mash & macaroni salad. Some of the best southern food I’ve had in a while for more than a reasonable price. And I can’t forget— the staff here are naturals with their customers!! Shout out to Logan and the other guy working the evening shift for sparking up conversation like nothing. Some of the friendliest service I’ve ever received. Super glad I stumbled on this gem.

Would honestly go 4.5 stars if I could. Everything we had was pretty solid, all of our orders were also correct. They only have QR code menus and you also have to order from the bar itself, the only table service is when they drop it off. The wings I had were deep fried with decent seasoning and sauce on the side so I could try both. Sauces were great but some of the wings were so fried they had chunks of burned gristle on them which was annoying to eat around. The giant pretzel and it's sauces was also fantastic. My daughter loved her burger, said it was incredible. The hot honey chicken sando was glazed in a fantastic sauce that was right on the money. I actually snagged some of it for a couple of my wings and it should be offered as a wing sauce. We would definitely go back, great experience.

No-Li is a great place to grab a drink and some food! They have a dining area as well as a brewery area! The pretzel is a CLASSIC and I would recommend this every time you go! It’s one of the best soft pretzels I’ve had!

Loved the atmosphere of this place! Different spaces with different vibes all in one place! They had lots of beer to choose from and a couple seltzer options. I really enjoyed a mix of the Raspberry and mixed berry hard slushie! The Smokestack BBQ Burger was pretty great! I will definitely bring more people to hang here!

Went there for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed this spot. The patio is right along the river. The staff were all really nice. I really appreciated Jared at the bar taking the time to tell me about the different beers. He made great suggestions and I think I found my new favorite beer here. Can’t wait to bring my family back.

If your looking for a place to have a beer by the river, quiet, and have some delicious food this is your place! Checked all the boxes for me! The Bier garden outside even had misters for hot days, they had fire pits on the tables, shuffleboard, and ski ball! Lots of different rooms and tables to sit at, made it unique and a fun environment! The service was also fast, and the staff was very friendly ! Thanks for making this a great experience!

Such a great spot, I can’t believe it’s only a 4.3 on Google! Food was amazing, service was great, loved our beers. We sat and enjoyed a beautiful day and will definitely be back!

Walked in and sat immediately. Serena took out drink order & they came out quickly... Made some additional accommodations to help me with my health choices upon ordering the entrees. Food came out in a reasonable time, it was fresh and hot. My French toasts whip cream hadn't even started to melt yet so perfection. Love the visit we shall be back...

I am a very picky eater. Every restaurant I’ve eaten at has never capture my attention until now. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. Grits & shrimp - 10/10 Cinnamon French toast waffle - 8/10 Smoked Brisket Hash - 10/10 Bacon Sticky Bun - 8/10

Hands down our favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Spokane. It’s walk-in only but worth the wait on weekends. Everything we’ve had, including their rotating monthly seasonal items, has been delicious. Plus, great options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets!

I love everything I've tried here at Bruncheonette! A foodie friend of mine, who hails from the Southern USA, says their Shrimp & Grits are fantastic - and that's saying something coming from a southerner! My last visit I had the Tamale Waffle and it was wonderful. I tend to go with mostly savory dishes here, but often get their Bacon Sticky Bun as a sweet appetizer. They make a limited number of these each day, so don't be surprised if they run out toward the end of the day. Coffee is wonderful (I really enjoy their French Press Carafe) and I'm told by my friends who drink that their cocktails are very good. All around, one of the best brunch places in the Spokane area.

Our server was so kind and attentive, had great recommendations for the brisket hash which was amazing, the biscuits and chorizo gravy was incredible also. Very comfortable and welcoming environment! Will definitely be stopping in again!

This was a wonderful find while visiting Spokane. Vivian was a great server and recommended the tamale waffle… it was fabulously delicious. If you’re ever in town, I highly recommend trying Bruncheonette!

Best Burger in Town and Brussel Sprouts That Steal the Show! Durkin’s Liquor Bar nails it. Hands down, this is the best burger in town …juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked with just the right char. I don’t write reviews often, but felt Durkins needed recognition from our excellent time there! We have made Durkin’s a main stop the past few years for our nights out. Whether meeting up with friends, a night out, or a holiday downtown, we always have to stop by for atleast a cocktail. While the drinks are always exceptional, we’ve had the food once or twice before tonight. At the time was great, but not real excellent or a standout, probably just an off night for the chef and crew, or perhaps it was us. But tonight, out for a birthday with friends, and had to show them Durkins. And the food was IMPECCABLE! While before we thought the food was missing that “thing” that stood out and made it perfect, tonight was exceptional. The unanimous decision by all of us was 10/10, we especially commented on how good the chicken wings were! I couldn’t rate this restaurant higher. We sat downstairs because we must, of course, show our friends the cool underground lounge. Overall, if you want awesome drinks, great food, exceptional service with a unique and otherwise friendly and cozy vibe, Durkins is a must go to. Thank you all the past wonderful nights, great times out, and exceptional service!

A friend of mine has recommended this place for years and I finally was in town to try—SO GLAD I DID! The Whenever, Wherever cocktail (charred pineapple and tequila!!!) could have been served in a bucket and I would’ve drunk it alllll. The fried cauliflower was so good I accidentally yelped—lemon zest was an appreciated touch. The staff are attentive and incredibly kind. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We came to try to beat burger in Spokane. I love the interior decor, it was very cozy. We started with the calamari , which was the best calamari we’ve ever had. They were made with pacific squid, and there was plenty of them in the dish. We love the fresh dill and parsley. There was just enough sauce to flavor the calamari. The Calabrian chilis were a nice little kick to the dish. We both ordered the burger along side with our beers, an amber ale, cream ale and the hazelnut . The beers were delicious. The burgers were spectacular. The homemade pickles added a nice crunch to the burger, the patties were tender and meaty. The cheese was very creamy. Exactly what I wanted in a cheeseburger. The server was kind and accommodating to all our sauce requests. I have tried Durkins during restaurant week and the food was delicious, and I’m glad we got to try them again.

Loved the ambiance, subdued but so well put together. Probably the most charismatic waitstaff I've ever encountered! And if the rest of the menu is of the same quality as the double burger I ordered and relished, It's no doubt all gourmet and of the highest quality. I regret not coming here sooner. Oh, and the fries and how they were seasoned was so uniquely great! I'm craving it again just writing this!

The atmosphere is low-key. The food is absolutely fantastic. We had the burger, one of the best I've had. The salad was great. We had a chicken dish that was great! But what really got me was that the servers, J and Blane, were great! Very playful and personable!

Your establishment was recommended by a friend, he raves about the burger. I took an out of state client here based on the recommendation and was so embarrassed by the quality of food. I commented to the waitress that the bun was white and doughy and her response was “ that’s how we serve our brioche.” I do not recommend if this is your answer to poor quality food. Good atmosphere though.

We stopped by for a lovely Sunday brunch on a beautiful warm Spring day. We sat out on the patio. On the weekends they have $5 mimosas and bloody Mary’s till 12. We all started with mimosas and bloody Mary’s. I ordered the chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs and sourdough toast. The chicken fried steak is very large, big enough to feed two. Or makes for leftovers after a brunch of drinks . Everything was delicious. There could have been more hash browns, but that’s just because I love potato’s . It’s always a great deal when you have affordable adult beverages paired with good food.

Poole's on the North side is always one of our family's favorite spots to go. However, when a co-worker and I tried the south location for lunch last week we were very disappointed by the quality of food there, compared to the north location. The server brought me what I was hoping the same quality cobb salad as the north store. Not even close. It was about 2/3 smaller in a smaller bowl, had tiny bits of tomato and bacon, dry sliced chicken, lettuce was so old it was slimy. We waited so long for our food to come out and had to get back to work that we didn't bother to request they take it back and try again. The waitress was good. The restaurant itself isn't as warm and welcoming as the North store. That same week I had dinner with my husband and relatives at the North store (a group of 11 people). My husband ordered the cobb salad which was their normal 'gorgeous' and in a much larger bowl. So, whatever is happening with the food at the south store, it needs to be looked at. Seriously $17.99 for a salad that was pretty sad that only a few bites of it were even eaten does not speak well for the south location. We won't be going there again & will tell our friends to stick with the North location.

Service was great; we got to sit outside in the beautiful sun. We ordered the chicken strips because it reads on the menu that they were generous-sized. But let me tell you something, honey… you get in that car and go down to Dairy Queen, and get yourself some bigger chicken strips. If they're going to promote that on their menu as "generous," I better not be getting no finger-sized chicken .

Food was great and prompt and efficient service. It is a giant man cave of dusty stuff on the walls and not my jam. Lots of dudes in golf wear on a Sunday morning so I'm sure I'm not their audience. Yes I'll go back service was great and good was good.

Meh. This place has an awesome long wood bar. Unfortunately I’ve never seen many people sitting at it because their beer selection is as boring and mainstream as it gets. Food is much better than McDonalds.

We went this morning for breakfast, been here many times before food is always ok never horrible. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and my daughter had the biscuits and gravy, as we ate we noticed bits of sausage was very pink, a couple pieces so pink that it was squishy definitely not cooked all the way, needless to say we didn’t enjoy our breakfast. 2 stars because the food was comped. Service overall was just ok. Probably definitely not a place we will go back too.

The service was alright but when I received my chicken, it was like one of their cooks didn't cook their chicken completely. Because I had food poisoning later that night, I blame here for missing work.

Came here for a quick stop after an appointment in Spokane. Our server was incredibly nice, and she recommended us some of her favorites and some seasonal options. I went for the Truffle Mac, and my partner had the Beet salad. Both were amazing! As a vegan, it was lovely to have so many options! I’ll definitely try to come back when I’m back in Spokane

Had a wonderful experience at Rut! The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed meal - soft background music and plenty of seating with comfortable AC that kept the space cool. The service was excellent throughout our visit. The food was outstanding! I highly recommend the Korean chicken sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. The buffalo cauliflower wings were superb - perfectly seasoned and cooked. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with scrumptious vegan food, Rut is definitely the place to go. Will definitely be back!

So glad so tried this place out! Fabulous! My first trip there, I got the Rüt Burger with fries and was pleasantly surprised. The second and third time I tried the spring spaghetti - great flavors and texture. I’ve been here three times and I leave happy and full each time!

This is a nice intimate restaurant and bar. My wife and I had lunch we shared the Brussel sprouts and a bok choy dish along with some fresh arugula salad with pickled onions on top. The server was very nice and accommodating, we asked for some olive oil for our salad and she found some for us even though they don’t normally offer it. She also gave us a complementary spritzer drink. The only thing that bummed us out was the Brussel sprouts were deep fried and they use canola oil and deep fry the food. It ruins the health value making it unhealthy. But, the presentation was nice and the flavors were really good. If you’re looking for a plant based healthy raw food type offering look somewhere else.

From the atmosphere to the food to the staff all top notch! First time going here it felt like I was somewhere other than Spokane in the best way possible! Classic and modern cocktails, housemaid ginger beer and other seasonal sodas, and the food was incredible! I look forward to and am pleasantly impressed with all RÜT has to offer every time go! highly recommend to any person vegan or not!

Great quality food, in a family friendly atmosphere. This is a place to go hang out with friends and try amazing bar food. Their Monster Mac will have everyone else asking what did they order. It's a cheese burger with bacon, white cheddar, American cheese, beer cheese sauce on 2 deep fried mac n cheese buns.

We had the BEST burgers at Barnwood Social Kitchen & Tavern - Erin was the friendliest and most gracious server, making sure we were very well taken care of! From left to right: the most amazing pickle fries, their very popular Barnwood Burner, classic fries & Classic American burger, accompanied by cajun, aioli, and fry sauces. Soooo scrumptious! 😋

Service was great. The staff is amazing and extremely attentive. The food is always on point and quick. Heather served us during our first visit and she had a great sense of humor. Reece helped us during our second visit and was fantastic as well. The staff recognized us and made us feel at home. 10/10 will return and continue to visit our new friends.

Our waiter was personable and made great suggestions. The pear Gorgonzola pizza was very tasty. My Caesar salad was good. The chicken added was delicious, moist and tender. Excellent. The house Pinot I had was good. I will definitely come back again.

Madi added to the experience by offering a special treat to enhance our experience. If you are a wine lover the Rose 🌹 and the Pinot Grigio were excellent. Although we didn’t have dinner the menu looked amazing! Will definitely return. Thanks!

This is a cool space, but it didn't feel like other public houses I've been to. Awkward atmosphere. The food was good. A little overcooked and definitely made to sound more fancy on the menu than it actually is. Example: our cauliflower wings were just steamed cauliflower in sauce. We were a larger party and it was clear that the food was sitting under a warmer waiting for it all to finish. The staff was apathetic and sparsely available. Overall given the quality of the food and service it felt a little overpriced, but it wasn't bad.

Wow. Every dish we had was great. Burger was amazing, fries were battered and crisp, wings were perfect, and the peach and prosciutto flatbread was superb. Great selection and prices on happy hour menu. This place is a real gem.

Saranac Public House – Spokane, WA We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Saranac. I was dining with someone who has celiac, and we had zero issues finding great gluten-free options. The team did an awesome job. I ordered the chicken wings with gochujang sauce (not gluten-free), and we shared the steak and potatoes appetizer, Thai chicken flatbread, and mac and cheese. All had gluten-free versions available and were outstanding. The flavors were bold, the portions generous, and the service was top-notch. Also, happy hour is available all day on Sundays, which was a great bonus. Great food, plenty of GF options, and excellent service. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure.

This restaurant deserves every word of criticism for its appalling behavior tonight. Watching the bartender publicly humiliate a married couple—who were simply out to celebrate a birthday, a 50th birthday, at that—was nothing short of disgraceful. He insisted on cutting them off for the absurd reason that one of them “used the restroom too much,” which, frankly, sounds more like a bad joke than a policy. Let’s be clear: this couple did nothing more than enjoy cocktails, appetizers, and entrees, which naturally might involve a couple of trips to the restroom over the course of an evening. Yet the bartender singled them out and ruined what should have been a joyful occasion for reasons that are, at best, baffling, and at worst, tinged with bigotry—especially considering they were a female couple. It’s impossible to ignore the sense of prejudice, whether intentional or not, that tainted the entire incident. The spectacle left every decent person in the room shocked and uncomfortable. For anyone considering dining here: don’t. No one deserves to spend their money at a place with such a gross display of judgment and a hateful spirit. Shame on this establishment for allowing such behavior—rest assured we will never return after witnessing it. For what it’s worth, I was able to catch the couple as they left and offer them a glimmer of dignity and decency they were denied inside. They deserve the birthday dinner they tried to have, and someone should see to it they get it—somewhere decent, not here. Note: The referenced behavior was verified by firsthand observation, and any future response is warranted only by concrete change and accountability from management.

Went here once after bloomsday and loved the food and the service. Went there last night and both my fish and my wife's chicken were burned black and served to us with no care and no napkin's 😕. Will not go back for a long time if ever.

I haven’t reviewed Saranac yet because I don’t want you to go there, I want it all to myself. This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Spokane. The service is always great and the food is consistently delicious. I’m gluten free and my partner is pescatarian and there are plenty of options for both of us. I rotate between the pork tacos (probably my favorite), the house salad (those hazelnuts!), the Thai rice bowl (spicy goodness), and the curry (very curry) and I’m always happy. the cauliflower is good too. Kids meals are affordable and tasty. If it seems pricey just go on Sunday for all-day happy hour and free street parking.

Amazing food! The Mac and cheese is to die for, I even added some bbq pulled pork on top and it was just mouth watering!

Southern-inspired food by transplanted Spokane natives. Have enjoyed the food here thus far. Some things are excellent, other dishes fall slightly short of their designed goal. Have not yet been for brunch but have heard good things. One thing is for sure - they know how to properly cook their shrimp dishes. Make sure you try either the Shrimp & Grits or the jambalaya, as both come with a hefty portion of well-seasoned, excellently cooked shrimp. The pork cracklin’s (essentially fancy bacon bits here) are a must snack on item to have for the table. Would also love to try the fried chicken on another occasion. They have a good selection of local beers and artfully inspired craft cocktails on the menu.

Casper Fry is always one of the first places I recommend to anyone who asks. Delicious food. Great staff and a unique atmosphere make it a great local spot in the perry district. Best fried chicken in town!

The four of us had catfish po’boy , skillet Mac and cheese, and the altamont burger. All were claimed to be good. Service was excellent. Also able to get an appetizer that wasn’t on the menu. Good southern style comfort food. Will eat here again,

First time time in, walked in at 5:30 or so and got seated quickly. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits and my drinks. My date had the blackened catfish, and substituted the side for regular fries, which prompted some ribbing from our server. Would definitely like to come in again.

Shrimp poboy and the beignets are a must! Fried chicken has the perfect balance of light and crisp. Original wings has a great & unique flavor. Staff was super nice and atmosphere was lovely. Service being a little slow is our only dislike.

Cajun cuisine in Spokane! Tasty food items including fried green tomatoes, skillet Mac and cheese, and of course jambalaya. Even the side Caesar salad had a southern twist with cornbread croutons...delicious! Full bar with great cocktails. Very cozy feel in an old brick building in a quiet neighborhood. Would go back.

Amazing brunch experience. Was recommended this place by a friend, since we are from out of town. Customer service was very welcoming, and the food was spectacular. Wish I could have bought some of the in house jam, cause it was so fresh and exciting with flavor. Love goes into the food here. Also thank you to our server Sarah, you 6 years of experience definitely made our experience dining in amazing. Get the Shirmp and Grits and full breakfast, it won't disappoint. Will be back again!!

The menu had tempting descriptions so it was too hard to choose, I ordered TWO meals (dutch babies and pancakes) and took most of the second one home with us. My son said his food was great as well. There is definitely a 50s diner feel to the place, which we liked. The only less-than-complimentary comment I have is that it is always hard for us to find parking in Kendall Yards.

Staff wasn’t very friendly. Our server was SO quiet. I felt bad having to keep saying, “I’m sorry, what was that?” We were also brought dirty water cups with coffee grounds in the bottom of them. No big deal, they took them back and gave us new water. The chai tea was pretty flavorless. Only “chai flavor” came from the cinnamon on top. Kinda disappointing. And the espresso martini (which was brought out in a wine glass, we got a kick out of that!) was the same. Pretty bland and was basically lukewarm. The food was good though! The deviled eggs were nice. The syrup and bacon combined with the eggs were actually pretty good. We tried the Eggs Benedict. The eggs were great! Cooked perfectly. Potatoes were a little lackluster. We also got the Green Goddess Eggs Benedict and substituted the hollandaise sauce for the house gravy and it was really good! The restaurant itself was kind of loud. Hard to have a decent conversation, but overall it was alright. Maybe next time I’ll just order takeout.

Walked in, greeted & Sat at a cute lil clean table for 2. Menus were easy to read & thickly laminated. Waiter Gavin took a little longer to get to us which they were kinda busy, but he was lovely. Knew the menu well. We placed our orders (wife was kinda upset they were out of shrimp of the shrimp 🍤 and grits). Kitchen was prompt and fairly quick to get items out. We enjoyed our experience and will be back...

Your money goes a long way here. Everything is amazing, I’m incredibly impressed by how good the food is and how much effort they put in to make a simple dish better. The yogurt, green goddess Benedict, carrot soup, and avocado toast were amazing. Everyone was so friendly and service was perfect. The chefs also clearly know what they’re doing. Thanks for the awesome food!

The reviews are awesome. The burger and service fell a bit short. This meal looked much better that it was executed. The poutine was tasty the first few bits but soon became very.mushy. But, it was topped off with great bacon chunks and the egg was good. The burger....... asked for pink center and it was as well as well could be! I really did expect better out of a burger joint that has such good reviews. I have tried it it was okay but we'll move on to another Burger Joint before I will return here. Looks good nice atmosphere very slow lady when it came to service. I really do want to love it but it soon became mediocre.

If you know, you know! This place is absolutely amazing. Food was a modern spin on comfort food classics and it was very well done. I actually ate there three times while in town! Needless to say I highly recommend this spot as one of the best modern eats in town. Can’t wait to go again!

I have to say, i was hesitant to come here. Reading all the reviews, i thought i might have been walking into a shiny metal mcdonalds. Ordering at a kiosk? Old, rubbery fries? But with basically the same pricing as the golden arches, i thought we should give it a try. Truly incredible. We walked in, and were met graciously with a smile and excellent service. We ordered, seated ourselves, and waited for the magic to happen. First came the milkshake.. dreamsicle flavor. Creamy, orangey, delicious. Then came the food. Not only did it look incredibly inviting, it lived up to the descriptions. Truly inventive recipes for a fantastic price. The pure gold burger was very much gold. Would order again. The classic burger, also delicious. The fries pretty much have mcdonalds beat. And.. fried bread and butter pickles? I was definitely not sure about that one, but i have no regrets. We tried a lot so spent just under $40, but you could easily come in with 2 people and spend $20 on a nice meal.The atmosphere was casual, yet we felt like we were special for being there. Lots of options for seating as well. Very unconventional, order at the register and then seat yourself, then clear your trays like you're at jack in the box. However, it works. We plan to eat here about once a month now. Probably the best place we've found in spokane so far.

Good prices, the overall taste is good however the burger by itself has no outstanding flavor. If you were to tell me that the burger was a plant based alternative to meat I would have believed you. Again though the flavor with all the components was very good and the fries were great. I would come back after the opening to see if it’s improved.

YES! This is one of the best fast food joints in town. Hands down, best poutine! It took forever to figure out the kiosk, but everything came out perfect. I love that it is very open like a cafeteria, but very chic. Fun place to watch some sports for a little bit.

Service is both kiosk or human. I chose human. Stellar beer and wine selection. I had the classic with cheese and sweet tater tots. One of the best burgers, proportion and taste wise I've had in a long time.

During my stay in Spokane, a colleague recommended I try the fancy burger at this spot for dinner. The restaurant was about half full when I arrived, with a lively but comfortable atmosphere. Since I was dining alone, I was seated at the counter. While that makes sense, I personally prefer table seating—having the option would have been appreciated. I ordered the fancy burger and a pineapple daiquiri drink. The burger lived up to its name: visually appealing and packed with flavor. The drink was refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. Service was smooth, and overall, I had a satisfying dining experience. I'd like to come back with someone next time and enjoy a table seat.

We had a really great dinner here. Everything we got was fantastic. We did a bunch of appetizers, wings, Hungarian peppers (which were my favorite), and the heirloom tomatoes. We also got two pizzas to share and both were really good. I got the chicken schnitzel for my main dish, and it was delicious. My colleagues got the fancy burger and the spicy lamb rigatoni and said those were fantastic as well. Our servers were on top of it and so helpful and great. All around great service and food.

I don’t think there’s a better spot to have dinner than this place in Spokane. We were so happy with everything that came to the table. The gentleman who took care of us was fast, efficient, and really knew his stuff. The food may take a little time since the kitchen is not too big, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Do not miss the Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp.🤤🤪

For being so highly recommended we were a bit caught off guard by the extremely poor quality of the booth seats. The leather vinyl was cracked and extremely uncomfortable, especially on bare legs. The staff were extremely friendly and when we told them we were sharing plates they split everything in half and plated it separately which was very nice. The salmon toast was fantastic, I can see why it's a highlight on the menu. Our draft old fashioneds were basic but good. For our entrees we split the spicy lamb rigatoni and the seared scallops. The lamb was good however there was little if any lamb flavor. The spicy elements were good if inconsistent, some pieces of the lamb sausage were way hotter than the others which was fine for me but for a more sensitive person it might be too much at times. The scallops were delicious I could have definitely eaten more than 4! If you don't mind a loud atmosphere and possibly painful seats this might be the place for you, we probably should have asked to move but every table was full, the bad seating definitely hurt my wife's experience even though the food was great.

What a great find, good vibes and chill place. The Caesar salad was special and the Lamb Rigatoni was nice. We also shared the Schnitzel Chicken with rice which was good. Our server Joe was very good as well and very thoughtful.

Five star all the way through! Came Spokane for a 3-day meeting and was so impressed by the food and service of this place that we came here twice during the stay. Since the place is only open for dinner at 4pm, it can get pretty crowded so a reservation may be the way to go. The happy hour here was pretty descent and the cocktails were well made and served. The Aperol Spritz was great! The food was also great especially the over baked pizza which you can see was cooked in the big stone oven in the kitchen! I also really liked the lamb rigatoni and highly recommend. The service was also very good! I actually forgot my AirPod first time and they kept it and handed to me when I came in the next day. 👍 Overall, a great place in my opinion and its downtown location makes it convenient if you stay nearby.

It is so rare to just pick a place to eat at random, especially when you're from out of town, and find it exceptional, but t's even more incredible to find a place that makes an exceptional soup! The soup of the day was Mediterranean Chicken, and wow! I'll attach a pic of the menu so you can get an idea of what is in it. They have a repertoire of soups that they rotate through, so this one may or may not be on the menu should you visit.

My brother and I visited Two Seven Public House for the first time on Sunday, May 5, 2024. We stopped in after running Bloomsday. I don’t want to be too hard on Two Seven Public House because I think a main reason why I won’t return is because it just isn’t a place that aligns with my tastes. With that said, I can offer a little insight into why it doesn’t mesh with my particular desires for a restaurant (and perhaps it will align with your own tastes and you will want to visit)… It is dark inside and a little cramped. When we visited, the booths were taken so we sat in the bar. We sat around a tiny table with chairs with no backs. Draft beer will run you $7 per glass and a PBR can was $4. The menu was very limited with most dishes pushing $20. Not only are the prices a little high to begin with, they don’t serve French fries with the sandwiches. Instead, they have potato chips from the bag that they offer. Nothing was that appealing to me so we ordered the taquito appetizer that was $12. It was pretty good. The restaurant was full on this particular day so the service was slow but our server was pleasant in the interactions we had with him. Two Seven Public House just isn’t for me but judging by the Sunday crowd it seems to be for a lot of others.

Having lived over half my life south of the Mason-Dixon, this place knows how to season their food AND their way around different peppers! Service was exceptional. The bartender was so thoughtful and kind. Even knew what a spagett was and made it perfectly! You can tell he loves what he's doing & takes pride in it. Honestly, I haven't had service ice that thoughtful since the last michelin star restaurant I was at. I cannot WAIT to go there again. What a wonderful surprise hidden in the land of spicy mayonnaise. 💓🍻🐽🌶

Wow, I came across this place on my way back from physical therapy. It's on the southhill in Spokane wa. The food is awesome. It's kind of meadeum in size and it has outside seating also. When I'm on the southhill. I always go there. Kid's are welcome.

Came in on a recommendation for lunch. Seat yourself which we did. No one came over to offer us a menu or anything for 15 mins. There were like 4 people there so I’m not sure what the issue was. We ended up walking out.

The food was delicious! The service was wonderful! We were looking for somewhere to eat that accommodates gluten free needs and stumbled upon this lovely place!

Friend and I shared a cuban sandwich and an Italian, both were very tasty! Their potato salad was A+, mustard flavor was strong just like it should be! 😗

I had the pickled egg and the Hogwash burger and it was awesome. Probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Bartenders can make anything and the cocktails are top notch. I found this literally hidden gem when spending some time in Spokane and I think about it often so I thought I'd share some love. I ended up going there twice that week, thanks for being so awesome. I sat at the bar, cool intimate space with a undeniable historic vibe, the staff were friendly and helpful both nights. Drinks are really fun and inventive. Food is way better than your average bar food. They have something special going on here and like I said, I think about it often. I wish I wasn't a 4+ hour drive from here because I'd likely make myself a regular. Additional notes: It took me a minute to find the place when I first got to the old converted warehouse, because I came in from the parking lot side and the entry is on the street side as soon as you enter, but what a cool spot!

The ramen was delicious and hearty, the two cocktails I had were unique and tasted great (Mindkiller and You Got Serbed), and the donuts were so fluffy inside. Would come back next time I'm in town.

One of the best kept secrets in Spokane! Feels like a pre-prohibition era speakeasy. Cocktails and food are outstanding, atmosphere is perfect, staff is friendly and energetic. Can't recommend this place enough!

However the hostess busted her butt to get us a killer table, but the server was a dud.

Rick was so sweet and friendly! Marcus was our cook today and the food was soooo good. My husband and I each bought the two piece with sides combo and there was so much food we couldn’t eat it all, we took home leftovers. The coleslaw was seasoned so nicely, it’s hard to do a good slaw like this. Potato salad had great flavor. The peach cobbler was so yummy too.

Never been here before and glad I stopped in. Pretty unassuming little chicken restaurant with some mighty tasty tenders. The spicy wasn’t hot spicy, but instead very flavorful! Highly recommend the blue cheese dipping sauce. I don’t even like blue cheese and I was scraping the sides of the container! The bread was solid. The mac and cheese was a bit of a disappointment, not much going on flavor wise, pretty bland to be honest. Will absolutely be back for more chicken and blue cheese though!

We came in hungry and got the 2- piece combo and half pound tender special both reasonably priced and it came with a side a roll and a drink. Tendies were so fire definitely will be back!

Horrible experience and disgusting food! I ordered 1/2lb of chicken tenders with a side and got only 3 tenders. The roll was burnt and the man n cheese tasted like it was 3 days old - dry and cold. Husband ordered a pound of liver and a pound of gizards. We waited an eternity for the liver and never got the gizards. When asked where the gizards were, we were told we didn't pay for them. The chick took our order but never charged us for it. We weren't gonna wait another eternity for the gizards. They packed our chicken and rolls while waiting on the liver. By the time they cooked the liver, everything was ice cold!! Don't pack the food while the rest of it is cooking. Use common sense... when we opened the box of liver, the smell... burnt like charcoal! I would have returned it all if I was closer. Never going to this location again! Ruined all of ezelles for us for a while. Thanks for nothing!

The lady that served us today was not very friendly. The service was extremely slow. The place was so humid inside after being there for less than 10 minutes I sweated through my shirt. The bathrooms were dirty. The soda machine was nearly out of every type. The chicken was fresh, but had no flavor. The fries were old and dry and looked like they had been sitting since last night.

I placed an order this last Sunday. We had the food delivered. We did not receive our fries with the order. The chicken was cooked just fine but had no seasoning. The Gravy on the mash potatoes was not great. It wasn't even a liquid. More of just a solid brown crust on top of the mash potatoes. Probably wont go again because the only high light was the baked beans. Which tasted really good, but I didn't order from here for baked beans. I wanted some good fried chicken.

Patio was BEAUTIFUL today! Plenty of space to kick back and enjoy the sunshine. He ordered the Ruben and coleslaw and only said about 10x "damn this is good" for the sandwich. Coleslaw was mild and basic. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich made into a wrap and sweet potato fries. Perfect balance of the veggies and meats. Buffalo flavoring was mild (not spicy) and had a nice flavor. Sweet potato fries were ok, nothing particularly amazing. The Bloody Mary was AMAZING! Definitely will return for that.

Nice little neighborhood place with solid BBQ. Had the smoked Tri Tip. The meat was smoky and not super tender but great flavor. The BBQ sauce was completely disappointing. Couldn't tell the difference between what the waitress identified as spicy and not spicy. No flavor just sugar. They could step up by getting a variety at the grocery store and serving that. Took what could be a decent meat and elevating it to taking a solid meat and pulling it down. A safe place but not a great place. I'd want more if I was the owner or worked there. Went on a Sunday and service was slow. One person working and a decent sized crowd. Waited for nenus ... Waited for drinks... Waited for check... Waited...

Great food, a bit pricy. The Indian Trail.burger I has was perfectly cooked and I loved the deep fried onion in it. It came with three types of BBQ sauce ( Carolina, Texas, Kansas City) of which ynr KC was my favorite. I had heard their potato salad was good so I tried it and it was great. The staff is friend and stay busy. I highly recommend you try this place. They cook their ribs and brisket for 12 hours!!! The rib I had, the meat fell off the alone and was SO good.

Erin provided some of the most excellent service that I have ever received at a restaurant ever! Sarah, who was only on her 3rd day there had a wonderful ability engaging patrons and making them feel at home in the dining and bar areas. I had the Rigdecrest Brisket Burger with a side Smoked Rib and side Mac n Cheese. I was informed that Lyle was the Master BBQ/Smoker of the food and that Rib was the cook who made and prepared it. Top scores to both of them as the food was thoroughly hot and fantastic to taste!!... I tried two different IPA taps and a double shot of a local Spokane liquor as well!! Thank you JJ's Tap and Smokehouse for an amazing experience that will most definitely have me and others coming back for more!! I recommend this establishment to everyone looking for a top notch, step-above tap and Smokehouse experience!!!!

I’m pretty upset the burgers are $17 close to $20 and I get a burnt burger like this very hard parts from the grill seems like the grill needs to be clean. I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately may not come back again :(

Typical pub! Friendly staff and plenty of games on the screens. The brisket was smoky and tender but the ribs were dry and a bit overcooked. Overall a great place for a casual lunch or dinner.

Brunch Avocado toast with no greens: delicious combination of ingredients and the over-easy eggs were cooked just right. French toast: tasted good but were somewhat soggy. We want to go back and try lunch or dinner.

Logan Tavern is hands down one of the best spots in the GU district. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel welcome right away and they were very accommodating to any needs or requests that I had. The food? Solid. Everything I’ve tried has been flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of place you can come back to again and again, whether you’re grabbing dinner with friends specifically before a basketball game or just want a chill spot to unwind. Came in for a few beers, a game of pool and some dinner. The place was semi packed, but our bartender was great with service. The draft beer selection was not very good, and left a lot to be desired. Because if this, I went with the special and got a corona, and immediately remembered how much I don't care for it. We tried to play pool, but the cue sticks had absolutely no tips left on them. We asked if they had any spares, and they didn't. Was really excited to have this be a place to play, but definitely won't be back for the lack of detail to the bar games. The pickle fries were amazing, the chicken sandwich was too heavy on the breading, but the brioche bun was a great addition. The sweet potato tots were a hit, while the garlic fries were kind of a miss. Overall, there are better places in town, feel this is more of a nostalgic spot.

The Logan Tavern is a super cute spot that's a lot bigger inside than it looks. The food was INCREDIBLY tasty and creative and the whole menu in pretty impressive. The service has been great both times I've stopped in and it seems VERY clean- especially for a bar "on the strip"!!

Was passing through and hankering some fried pickles. Thanks much random person that said the fried pickles were great, they absolutely were! Still much prefer fried pickles chips, but these were still great despite being fries pickle fries, definitely a recommend!

Menu online is different then what they actually serve. We went there for the first time based on their online menu. We get there and are told that they got new menus a couple of weeks ago and they no longer serve a bunch of stuff ( feels like over half their menu is gone). Thats more than enough time to update your website. The wings were tiny and the garlic fries were soft and luke warm at best. Which is surprising because we were the only ones in there. Wont be going back.

Fryer designated just for fries made this vegan/gluten free gal so happy. The spicy catsup, house made green goddess dip and fresh hummus was a great surprise. Super nice owner, support local small businesses like this one that really cares about customer service and attentiveness.

Super fast service and great sandwiches. Reasonable prices for downtown. Their cookies looked way good but i was too full for one. One worker was upset cause some customers left before ordering, but I suppose one can forgive that for how slow business is in summer 2021.

The best sandwiches in town. Unfortunately it’s a complete wild card whether they open late, close early, or even bother to open that day. Out of the last four times I walked there during my lunch break (during advertised open hours) they were only open once. Super frustrating.
