Dangerously delicious cocktails and service with a smile every time! The friendly chit-chat makes the experience feel personal and welcoming. A big thank you to Lola!

Went for a late night drinks and a dance after a friends wedding in the area. Drinks were reasonably priced music was decent and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Security are hot on removing people if they are not behaving and the bar will shut people off if they have had too much. Really nice and safe atmosphere 👌 staff are lovely and friendly aswell!

Found this hidden gem today and so pleased we did. The staff were very friendly and made us very welcome, helpful with drinks recommendations, and the sharing platter we ordered was beautiful! All locally sourced, so flavourful, and absolutely plenty for 2! We will definitely be returning and will be brining our family and friends. Thank you!

Came in here as no football on the tv, sadly a selfish man at the bar decided to livestream the game on his phone, ruined atmosphere. When I spoke to the bar staff, he interrupted and shockingly he claimed to be the manager and continued to drink larger and was rude, passive aggressive and awful. Blamed customers for creating a bad atmosphere. Place was empty. Never again. None of the staff have any idea about customer service. If he's the manager drinking larger then who's responsible. Staff don't even know who owns the place. No apology from the sober staff. See other reviews and stay clear. This is the first negative thing I've ever put on a review. The guy needs sacked.

Calum W — Google review
This place looked nice from the outside. We went in and ordered two glasses of wine, although we were told it was "too late" for food (7.30pm). Was disconcerted to see the server then top the wine bottle she had used from a dispensing machine. Then the barman started watching football on his phone while sat at the bar. Someone asked him to turn it down and he basically gave him a mouthful. The two guys left and he was really rude about them as they walked out the door. Toilet was filthy. Visiting a clap clinic would have been a nicer experience.

A great place if you want a good drink with friends. This place has friendly staff who are welcoming and polite and security that are fair and respectful

The bar features a jukebox with punk, metal, and rock music and hosts frequent live music events. The menu offers rebellious options like chicken burgers with homemade honey rum BBQ sauce and roasted red peppers, as well as vegetarian choices such as BBQ pulled jackfruit burgers.
Was on the list to visit due to their vast vegan options. Was very much not disappointed. Great choices of food and drink, really friendly and lovely service and gorgeous desserts. Very much recommend for great food and wonderful vibes

Lady Luck at Canterbury is a cozy Pub and a lively place in the evenings. They serve British classics along with vegetarian and vegan cuisine. We enjoyed Lager Beer, Cocktails, Fish & Chips, Onion Rings and Garlic Bread. They have indoor as well as outdoor seatings. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We stopped here for lunch and were absolutely blown away! The vegan options are incredible – so many dishes that I never usually get to have, which made choosing really exciting. It’s so refreshing to see a menu where everyone has plenty of choice. The food itself was delicious, especially the beer-battered onion rings (yes, vegan and absolutely amazing!). On top of that, the service was just delightful – everyone was so kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Dog friendly and lovely garden! Honestly, this is the perfect spot to come on a day out. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Friendly, welcoming and helpful pub. Accommodated us, vegan, gf, dog and mobility aid with complete consideration. Top marks! Other half reports vegan gf pie was excellent. My carnivorous food was also great.

We come here every time we come to Canterbury and sometimes come to Canterbury purely to eat here. Staff are lovely and the food is always good and fair value. They have a huge vegetarian and vegan menu. The food is consistently good and doesn’t usually take too long. All our family and friends now also come here when in town.

We popped in for lunch today. We ordered vegan mushroom and ale pie with chips and The House burger. Both meals were tasty with good portions. Staff were friendly and I'll definitely be back to try their desserts.

We went for dinner last night and were hosted by Mia, incredible service! she was lovely and made our night even more enjoyable. She didn’t hesitate when we asked for group pictures and continued to check up on us through the night making the birthday girl feel so special. We are very pleased with our experience tasty food highly recommend!

24 of us had a great late lunch yesterday after our wine tasting event we had locally, we had organised with the restaurant a set of menu which included a selection of all the started for the table and then each guest chose their main and dessert! The weather was perfect and the atmosphere buzzing and was the perfect combination for a fantastic afternoon - Farouk was first class who was the main waiter who looked after us and was excellent and was very attentive and was on it! John the F&B manager was also great who helped plan and book the event for a large booking! Thanks CT for a great large group lunch everyone left very full and well oiled 😍🤪🤪

Went here for my birthday and had such a great time! The food was amazing — especially the chicken and waffles, seriously one of the best I’ve had. The staff were super friendly. Loved the vibe of the place too, really cozy and chill. Definitely coming back!

We went to celebrate our granddaughter's 18th birthday, she wanted to try this venue as it was recommended by friends. It caters for all ages and we had a fabulous evening with the drinks waiter making a very special cocktail for Evie ,we cant fault the service

Dined here tonight for my daughters birthday... Absolutely wonderful service from the start. I made the reservation and noted it was my daughters birthday and Summith and his team made a, fuss of her and attentive. Very good hospitality, good music, lovely atmosphere. Even after a, slight issue with the steaks cooking - they rectified it immediately. Brilliant service. Really looked after our party of 6. Pic: virgin pina colada (alcohol free) lovely I could enjoy a fancy drink as the designated driver.

Great seating area. Friendly and hospitable service. Many thanks to our waitress Mia who was excellent. Wonderful selection of mocktails and cocktails. I had the CharlieTango None - a sweet & refreshing mocktail. Food was well presented and well priced. Would definitely call back again.
Pollie R — Google review
Our server Paul made the experience here what it was 1000%, our booking was for 1:00pm and the birthday girl was about 15-20 minutes late as she had no idea this was taking place as it was a surprise and by the time she had arrived and we had all been acquainted we were told we would have to leave at 2:30 for the next table who had booked, a lot of the senior member’s of staff were continuously hovering over our table and were almost rushing us to leave which we weren’t too pleased with especially since they weren’t that busy. However as 2:30 came along and the time went past nothing else was said or done about us leaving so we let that go, they gave the birthday girl a cocktail with a picture of her on it which certainly made up for that everyone enjoyed our meals and the drinks were lovely and they kept them coming, great atmosphere apart from that small issue.

A nice little pub close to the city wall and Canterbury East railway station. Popped in for lunch; had a tasty steak and kidney pudding. It's a Shepherd Neame pub, and they serve a decent pint of Masterbrew. Service was quick, and there was free wifi.
Jeremy F — Google review
Of all the pubs I visited in Canterbury recently this was my favourite. It reminded me of pubs in my youth - civilised, good beer and food, and a garden to relax in.

What an interesting venue! We had an excellent time with our own space for our karaoke function so that we could make as much noise as we wanted without disturbing other patrons... and we did! Great food and drinks menu and friendly, welcoming staff. If you could have thrown in some air con, it would have been literally perfect! (I know, listed building; I'm just saying it was hot) Fantastic time had by all! Highly recommend for any adult function or event.

Went out for brunch with some friends and had a good time. Had the truffle honey chicken burger, which was absolutely delicious! Packed with flavor and the portion size was fantastic. Good options for gluten intolerant people too, the bun i had with my burger was gluten free! Had a side of skin on fries too, tasty with the right amount of salt on them. Highly recommend the outside seating- the sun was out so it was a great view to have. Massive shoutout to jake the head chef.

Found by accident but so glad we did. The food was fabulous and the kids meals were free (my 8 year old especially enjoyed the Mac and cheese!). Portions were really good. The Cuban is a stylish bar located in Eliot College, Mungos. It offers a menu featuring Cuban tapas dishes, grills, and Cubano sandwiches. The modern bar has a slightly space-age feel and transforms into a club on most nights. The venue features tables and chairs with TVs showing BBC News, sports channels, and music channels. There's also a small side room with a pool table and an Xbox 360 for gaming.
I was told that this was the best (only) gay clubs in Canterbury and I wasn't disappointed. It's really great to have a place where my true sexual feelings can be liberated. Lovely staff and very accommodating (with some extra hardworking bouncers 💅) And let's not tell you about the toilets... 😉 One of the best gay clubs I've been too!
Harry — Google review
Went there on a Tuesday night. Which it stated only was open. Once arrived fully shut. No one inside. Thought we would leave it for a bit to see if they open later than stated. But didn’t. Do not say you are open when you aren’t!!!!! It ruins people’s plans. That’s all.
Chloe L — Google review
Absolutely appalling behaviour – RACISM and ASSAULT by a member of staff. I had a shocking experience at The Cuban in Canterbury that I feel needs to be shared. My friend and I were standing near the windowsill inside with our handbags next to us when a tall African bouncer approached us aggressively. He began waving his finger in our faces and acted confrontational without any clear explanation—apparently just because our bags were resting on the windowsill. What made this worse was that he targeted my friend, who is Black Caribbean, with clear and disturbing racial bias. It was painfully obvious that this man—despite being Black himself—was prejudiced and aggressive toward us, especially her. I spoke to the head bouncer who confirmed there was no issue as long as we were standing next to our bags. We returned to where we were, but the same bouncer came back, told us to get out with no explanation, and when I asked why, he refused to answer. I began recording for my own protection, and he snatched my phone, was physically aggressive, and later threw my drink all over me and broke my phone strap. This was a clear assault, and I have reported the incident to the police. Another bouncer just said, “we don’t need to give you a reason—he’s worked here for seven years,” which is absolutely unacceptable. This was not just poor treatment—it was racially motivated, physically aggressive, and deeply unprofessional. The Cuban seriously needs to review who they employ and how they deal with incidents like this. I will never return and strongly advise others—especially people of colour—to be cautious before going there.
Ashley — Google review
It’s supposed to be students only but it clearly wasn’t. Ordered a pint that came out to be more expensive than a double vodka, with a price you don’t even see in London. Prices aren’t too great either, but the drinks are nice. There’s a dance floor inside and some benches outside where most people were. Didn’t seem to be any food. Overall, place itself is nice but prices are ridiculously expensive
P — Google review
Collins might just be the best bartender I’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome with his friendly energy and effortless charisma. He’s incredibly skilled at building rapport and genuinely elevates the whole experience—whether it’s through his cocktail recommendations, his sense of humour, or his surprising talent as a wingman. The drinks were excellent, the vibe was lively, and Collins kept the atmosphere upbeat without being over the top. If you’re planning a night out at The Cuban, make sure he’s behind the bar—you’ll be in great hands.
Dacian — Google review
There was a bouncer (dressed casually) that told me that I wasn’t allowed to be seen with a drink in the queue, I then proceeded to throw my drink in the bin. I got stopped before I got inside and the same ‘bouncer’ stopped me and said I wasn’t allowed in as he apparently saw me ‘chug’ (in his words) my drink in the queue when he told me I wasn’t allowed to be seen with a drink, I find this place an absolute disgrace and would not recommend it to anyone.
Magic P — Google review
It's fun maybe for like 20 minutes, after that it becomes overwhelming. So- "The Cuban" looks like it had a pretty great atmosphere from the entrance, which is why I decided to come in here. Problem is that you have to pay a £10 entry fee, so you basically should stay for at least 45 minutes to make it worthwhile. They also require your ID for proof of age, so bare that in mind if you look young. As for being inside the nightclub: It's loud- VERY loud. When I was ordering a diet coke I had to shout so I could be heard. I understand it's like a party, but the music doesn't need to be *that* loud, surely. My biggest concern with this nightclub was the fact that it looked like a covid breeding ground on the dance floor. Even though I'm fully vaccinated, I still didn't feel comfortable with people being up in my face. Personal space is still a thing as well! If you want to have a fun night out without the worry of heavy covid spreaders, and being able to actually hear yourself think, then I would recommend just looking at other midnight pubs instead. Had to give this place a try though. I just think if the staff could enforce a limited capacity and turn the music down, then I would rate this nightclub higher. Thank you for reading.
Krishen B — Google review
A really noisy place with loads of Young gentleman and boobs, just a chat up place though not much chance of that because the music is so loud.

Customers have praised the friendly and helpful staff who provide quick service with a smile. The 2 for 1 on cocktails deal makes the drinks worthwhile while enjoying good music and vibes.
I had a great time eating Mexican food. I liked that I got one extra drink when I ordered two non-alcoholic cocktails at a 2+1 deal. The churros dessert was also delicious, so be sure to try it!

If you sit outside there is no Service. Tables were dirty and we had to ask twice to get it better. Complex oder process online. In my opinion that’s not worth the price of over 100 Pound for 4 no alcohol no starters …..

If you're looking for some good cocktails, then Las Iguanas is the place to go to. Our bar tender Daisy was on point in making our drinks. She was personable and so easy to talk to. The place is located inside the Whitefriars shopping center. They offer 2 for £13 cocktails excluding the Specialty cocktails. We had the Specialty Uncle Wray's Rum Punch and it was a nice blend of fruit punch and fire from the Wray & Nephew. Thanks Daisy, you rock!

Visited and sat outside as we had a dog. We were given menus and told outside QR code could be used to order. This did not work so had to go inside to ask if we could order. A lad came out and took our order. Drinks arrived. Seemed to be waiting a bit then our nachos and mains arrived at the same time. We said we ordered nachos as starters but the lady said that if you order outside all the food comes out at once and nothing she could do. We didn’t want to Make a fuss so accepted it. As you expect mains were cold by the time we had finished nachos. Table next to ours also ordered nachos as starter and had theirs first then main. I wanted to Make a point but food was nice and staff were nice so just paid and left. Used this chain before and never had an issue. So if you order make sure you tell them you want as starters and main. I thought it would be obvious but obviously not !!

Lovely pub but needs a menu in the window as it will atract more business. The food inside is exceptionally good and the chef lady was so caring and knocked up some amazing plates. The choice of fine was quality too we had a bottle of malbec which was superb. Definitely will be back.xx

Not so much of a cozy pub as a popular spot for drinks with your mates. On the main street through town this place definitely gets lots of foot traffic from locals and tourists alike. Good selection of beers and cider on tap and a smaller liquor selection. Cash, credit card and probably e-wallet payments accepted. The back room has an assortment of video games and dart boards for entertainment and live music is likely part of the routine here.

Out with a crowd from work, and I decided to stay here while they moved on. Had a great time, phenomenal band, friendly and felt safe there as a lone female!

A very lively pub located in Canterbury City Centre not far from the cathedral & close to numerous restaurants etc ( no food at present but I believe the kitchen can be rented). Open Mic night run by Gracie on Wednesdays, live bands etc on Thursday & Friday plus excellent DJ every Saturday. Very friendly & efficient staff. Natalie the manageress always has a chat with the regular customers. Have to mention Amber & Tiger (aka Rosie)..great barmaids!
Chris T — Google review
A fine enough pub but avoid their quiz like the plague The codger running it said it was a tribute night in solidarity with Diddy (yes that one) and asked to be called Pub Daddy. It was all music based and the first round relied on his tubeless guitar playing where each repeat of a question sounded like a different song. Maybe it's better when he isn't running it but if you see an old bloke collecting the quiz fee run! At least Spoons are upfront about supporting awful people and cheaper!

Great little pub in Canterbury. Admittedly I only went there for a gig, but it had an excellent atmosphere, great staff and it seemed to have a good selection of drinks. The gig itself was fantastic, and I have a lot of respect for the Black Griffin for supporting local music. The style of bands might not be for everyone, so check if there's a gig on before going!
Sam L — Google review
As always The Black Griffin provides among the friendliest service going in Canterbury, always a warm greeting with nice chat. We tried the Outlaw Street food which is a new addition to the pub, the food was amazing, the Hot AF wings were particularly good, and are indeed pretty hot! Would highly recommend the black Griffin, for a pint or the food. Great atmosphere.

Nestled in the heart of Canterbury, The Cherry Tree is a charming and historic pub that dates back to 1327, making it the oldest watering hole in the city. This cozy tavern offers a delightful selection of pub grub alongside an impressive array of beers and cocktails, creating a welcoming atmosphere for locals and students alike. Open daily from 10 am until 1 am, it's a popular spot for those looking to unwind after classes or enjoy a night out with friends.
One of the must visit pubs if you are in Canterbury. The place gets vibrant in the night with good music and an assortment of shots. Try visiting the pub in the evening, but seems the place can get very noisy during the night, so we avoided that. The shots are a must try and they are at affordable prices as well.

Nice little historic pub, open late. Good range of beers with 16 taps. Plastic glasses later on though, even if it's quiet and sat inside. Jukebox and a Street Fighter game machine.

When you think of Canterbury's nightlife, Club Chemistry is undoubtedly the crown jewel. This vibrant hotspot, affectionately dubbed "Chem" by students, boasts three expansive floors that cater to a variety of musical tastes—from chart-topping hits and dance anthems to RnB and hip hop. It's the ultimate destination for both locals and newcomers looking to enjoy unforgettable nights out, especially during Freshers Week when excitement fills the air.
I had such a wonderful night, the staff were all incredibly kind and attentive. Daniel stood out, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience! He was super helpful, gave us excellent recommendations, and his service truly made the evening memorable. We'll definitely be coming back again :)
Meghana S — Google review
I recently came here as a student and wanted to check out the local club scene. This review is after 2 weeks at the ClubChem experience. Was trying to gather my thoughts as to why the experience was as such. So, the security team at the entrance was racey. Maybe it was just me but after a lot of thought, it felt how it did. I was the only one who the all white boy team, asked ID from. and I'll put it into perspective I don't look 25, I am in my 30s and everyone knows it. I explained to them that I'm not carrying my passport since that's not safe but I do have the details on my phone they can gladly check. after 3-4 mins of back and forth and alot of people just passing by and going in without an ID check, i felt uneasy. After the debate I checked if I had my home town ID, which incidentally I did, the guys let me go get a pat down. Which was was done as to just pat one on the head like they are doing me a favor. I went inside and felt really uneasy with the whole situation that I had just experienced. The bar people were nice and were kind. After 10 mins and a drink, I just got up and left because the experience at the door just felt really humiliating. I came back to my accommodation and discussed it with other students who felt this was not normal and was not in my head. Anyway. they recommended going to Tokyo tea rooms.

I had a really good time here! The vibe, music, and overall atmosphere made it a fun night out. What made the experience even better was Daniel. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel welcome and comfortable. He’s attentive without being overbearing, and he really pays attention to the little things that make the experience enjoyable. His friendly attitude and positive energy add a lot to the atmosphere, and you can tell he genuinely cares about making sure guests are having a good time. Overall, he made the visit smooth and memorable!

Thanks to all of the team at Tokyo Tea Rooms - our son (who has Cerebral Palsy and is a full time wheelchair user), has just turned 18 and wanted to go clubbing to celebrate! The team couldn't have been more helpful and our son had an amazing night.

The staff was really nice and very gracious. They stayed open a little later than intended, and we had a really great conversation with one of the waiters. And I can't say enough good things about the dessert - we had sticky toffee pudding with caramel ice cream. Yum!

Came for Christmas lunch. Food was good, service was friendly. But they're hugely missing a trick by only offering a few different house wines with the meal. Would have happily spent more on good wine and a cocktail or two, having pre-paid for the meal a few weeks ago.
David H — Google review
Nice, efficient service, tasty freshly prepared food, relaxed and contemporary atmosphere, reasonable prices. It's a pity that we went out for dinner without a real hunger, because the simple plates we ordered were really nice! I would definitely recommend this to friends for a dinner and after dinner night out.
Irene T — Google review
Poor planning on my part meant we were in Canterbury with 5 adults and 5 children (all under 5), and nowhere to eat. We stumbled across The Old Brewery Tavern by accident, and were lucky to do so. The food was good, as was the beer and the children ate free. We weren't an easy party to accommodate, but tables were moved and menus adapted, and the kids got an activity pack so were made up. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful so top marks all round.
Peter M — Google review
It's okay here. It is attached to the hotel at the front. In the evenings the chairs and tables are moved away and it becomes a dancefloor and they bring out a DJ set. However the acoustics are not great at all and there isn't really enough space to dance. When we were there, everyone was crowded in a small bottleneck between the bar area and the dining area turned DJ booth. As the only way off the dancefloor is accross it back to the bar this means that you are constantly being pushed past and this can get very annoying, with drinks getting spilt and glasses broken.
Alex — Google review
I came out of there unhappy, insulted and ill. Me and my wife shared a bean burger and a beef burger. I ate my halves quite quickly as I was very hungry, but my wife took only a few bites of the bean burger before realizing that it tasted a bit odd, yet sour. 10 minutes after I started to feel ache in my stomach and I ended up visiting the toilet to throw up. When I complained, the waiter and the manager could not conceive that a bean burger could go bad and make me sick. That explains it all: they serve clients bean burgers kept in the fridge for weeks. I ended up paying for everything, including 12.5% gratuity. The waiter didn't even take the responsibility to talk to the manager about my complain; I had to do it myself! Stupid me. This place should be called Old Bean Burgers.
Hugo L — Google review
It's fine, better than average pub food which makes up in presentation what it lacks in finesse. Service was a little personal for my taste, the front of house manager ( I presume) was trying to do a good job but his execution was a bit off.

Christmas Dinner & Party: OMG we all sat freezing whilst eating Christmas Dinner, all of us had our coats on, not a care in the world from staff. This wasn't just our table but at least 4 others. What a lovely stay, the reception was 24/7 and they were all very helpful, we arrived 2 hours early and were welcomed warmly, because the room wasn't ready our luggage was locked in a store room and we was given a ticket per piece of luggage. The cocktails hit the right note too. The room for the standard room was really nice. And the full English every morning is a must, the eggs and sausages you could tell are locally sourced. Would stay there again.

I attended a Christmas Afternoon Tea there in a larger group. The venue is beautiful with a lot of unique art pieces. Food was nice and tasty. Tea selection was good and refilled couple of times. I selected the Bottomless option but had to approach the bar several times to get another drink - that is the only part I thought could have been better.

Popped in for a drink before getting a train, 4 minutes round the corner. Early so good choice of seating. Saw there was a happy hour sign available for guests from 6-7 pm. Plenty of cocktails being ordered. We just had an IPA and a G&T. Nice friendly place

May 2022- Popped in and was so pleased that they do a 'Charcuterie' - it was delicious. Lovely with the Pinot Bianco Blush. Made my day. Great staff and vibe. 2020 - Amazing night at the Falstaff Bar last night. Their cocktails are really imaginative and delicious. The Truffle Mushroom pizza with white truffle cream, wild mushrooms, pecorino, black truffle, fresh basil was one of the best pizza I ever ate. There was a great atmosphere. The staff are so nice and friendly. Love the décor too.

I have stayed at the falstaff many times.. and I love the ambience.. the 🍸 cocktails... the polite staff..the location... my only gripe on this trip was the room we had was absolutely tiny.. had to walk sideways at the end of the bed.. The bathroom was also very tight and was all a bit claustrophobic .

Our bartender, breaking down his serves to my guest (new to cocktails) was brilliant and certainly impressed. Piano melodies and sunshine brightening the room, The Falstaff offered the perfect ambience and range of drink needed for a lazy afternoon of cocktails.

The oldest pub in Canterbury and *well* worth going a few minutes out of your way to visit if you're spending some time in the town. The atmosphere is great and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had some of the best fish and chips I've ever hard there with an incredibly crispy fish cooked to perfection. I don't even generally like tartar sauce much but their herb mix added to it made it delightful. Their drink offerings are also quite good, I enjoyed a local red ale that was recommended by the staff and was excellent., My wife also greatly enjoyed her pie and cocktail. If you can, check out the upstairs and the garden, both are really quite fun to check out.

Visitors can enjoy discounts on beverages during specific hours or before attending a show at the nearby theatre.
Me and My partner were on a quiet night out in Canterbury, my partner recommended we go to the Fig as she had been before. We arrived at the Fig and were welcomed with open arms from Ali. I had never had a cocktail before, and went through the menu discussing what I may or may not like with alcohol and flavours of fruit. We came to the agreement that the Cosmopolitan was a good choice and I was shocked at how nice the drink tasted and the same with a passion fruit martini. The Fig was also quiet at the time we went so me and my partner could sit down and have a lovely chat.

We would highly recommend The Fig for anyone looking for a great night out in Canterbury!

Three of us went to the Fig wine bar in Canterbury. We shared a mixed platter and a superb bottle of red wine. The food quality was excellent and the service was faultless. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. I recommend this place very highly.

The Fig is a lovely wine / cocktail bar in Canterbury. Great high quality cocktails and a great wine list, including a lovely choice by the glass! We love it here and visit regularly - also some great pre theatre deals and two for one cocktails - highly recommended!

There are places you visit once and forget — and then there are places like this. Tucked away in Canterbury’s centre, this bar is a true gem: refined without being pretentious, effortlessly elegant, and full of charm. It stands out not only for its impeccable taste, but for the care and soul behind everything — from the atmosphere to the wine list. The food focuses on well-sourced charcuterie, cheeses, seasonal accompaniments, and other simple, high-quality offerings that pair naturally with the drinks. Portions are generous without being excessive, and the presentation is elegant yet unpretentious. The drinks list is strong — a careful selection of wines, classic cocktails, and well-chosen spirits. There is clear attention to provenance and balance, which is rare to find at this level locally. The cocktails never disappoint and the staff is ready to prepare anything to your liking, even if not on the menu. Service is excellent. The owner is present and engaged, with a quiet professionalism that sets the tone. The waitresses are efficient, polite, and know the menu — there’s no forced friendliness, just discreet and attentive care throughout. This is not a loud or chaotic venue; it’s designed for conversation and calm. It attracts a clientele who value quality and atmosphere. This bar is one of the few places in Canterbury offering a genuinely adult, well-run experience. The only criticism I have is I wish it would open earlier so I could come for my morning coffee !

Love this place! Been a few times now, most recently with the girls for my birthday celebrations and then came back again, the following weekend, for a double date evening. Quality cocktails, lovely food, great presentation, nice ambience, modern and contemporary decor and 10/10 service.

After an incredibly heavy transit from London to Canterbury ... we looked for a place to eat at 9:30pm ... the obvious places pizza, Italian ... the answer: we are not taking walk ins. Luckily we stopped at this unique place, we were welcomed and what a wonderful surprise... great wines, delicious food and warm service. Thanks for a lovely evening ... looking forward to Canterbury tomorrow.
