Sushi restaurant
Nadaman at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong is a spacious and elegant venue offering traditional Japanese cuisine. The restaurant features teppanyaki, assorted sashimi, sushi omakase, and chef's recommendations starting at HK$450. Chef Itamae Takatsugu Koyama ensures dishes preserve authenticity without overwhelming flavors. Known as one of the best Japanese restaurants in Hong Kong, Nadaman offers fresh and artistic meals at an average cost of $258 for two.
Nadaman Teppanyaki – A 15-Course Masterpiece at Kowloon Shangri-La If you’re looking for an unforgettable teppanyaki experience in Hong Kong, Nadaman at Kowloon Shangri-La delivers perfection on a hot plate. I indulged in their 15-course tasting menu, and it was nothing short of culinary artistry—each dish was exquisitely prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. 🔥 The 15-Course Teppanyaki Journey – A Symphony of Flavors Every course was a standout, but here are the highlights: 🦐 Sweet Shrimp & Cod Roe Monaka A delicate crispy wafer filled with sweet shrimp and mentaiko (spicy cod roe)—an explosive umami start. 🐟 Seared Bonito with Ponzu Jelly & Onion The lightly torched bonito paired with refreshing ponzu jelly was a perfect balance of smoky and tangy. 🍣 Crispy Tuna Toro Sushi Melt-in-your-mouth fatty tuna on a crispy rice base—simple yet luxuriously satisfying. 🥗 Chef’s Special Caesar Salad Not your average salad! Smoky bacon, black pepper dressing, and crisp greens made it surprisingly memorable. 🦞 Grilled Baby Lobster Succulent, buttery, and perfectly grilled—the natural sweetness of the lobster needed no extra embellishment. 🥩 Sliced Wagyu Beef with Garlic The star of the show—paper-thin Wagyu, seared to melt-in-your-mouth perfection, with crispy garlic chips adding a punch. 🍚 Squid Ink Fried Rice A bold, savory finish—the inky black rice was packed with deep seafood flavor and wok hei (that smoky wok aroma). 🍧 Refreshing Interludes The yuzu citrus sherbet was a brilliant palate cleanser, and the Japanese warabi mochi (jelly-like wagashi) ended the meal on a light, sweet note. 👨🍳 Chef’s Performance – Entertainment & Expertise The teppanyaki chef was a maestro—engaging, skilled, and passionate. Watching him slice, sear, and flame-grill each ingredient with precision was as enjoyable as eating it. 🍷 Impeccable Pairings & Service The staff timed each course perfectly, and the sake/wine recommendations were spot-on. The lobster miso soup was a comforting, umami-packed finale. 💰 Worth Every Penny (HK$988/person) For 15 courses of this quality—premium seafood, Wagyu beef, and creative twists on Japanese classics—this is a steal for a Michelin-level experience. 🌟 Final Verdict – A Must-Try Teppanyaki Omakase Nadaman’s 15-course teppanyaki menu is a journey through Japan’s finest flavors, executed with precision, flair, and luxury. Perfect for special occasions—or if you just want to treat yourself senseless. 5/5 stars – Flawless from start to finish!

Priced HKD 880 Sukiyaki is the pre-cooked beefs with heated bowl, it’s a bit surprise. However,Sushi, grilled duck’s liver and Sukiyaki are palatable as the ingredients are fresh and the cuisine is above average when comparing with other HK restaurants. Not recommend the grilled pork, which sadly tasted liked the cardboard and tasteless. Service was excellent but our dinning experience was disappointing with one noisy group and part of our conversation was strangely interrupted by others. This destroyed my perception having a quiet place to enjoy the delicacies. Some credit cards offer 10% off discount.

Ordered the 25-dishes sushi bar course for $988. Environment is great, quiet and spacious. Sushi master was super nice and offered us extra sushi pieces. Other waiters were difficult to reach though.

Hubby said the sashimi is one of the best he has eaten. So fresh. The sea urchin is so sweet. Ordered another sea urchin roll because it is so nice. Love the duck liver with raspberry sauce, taste exactly like foie gras. Hubby loves his eel. At the Japanese hotel Nadaman in our hotel

Excellent teppanyaki experience! We ordered 2 set off Waygu beef sets for dinner, and every single dish astonishing, not only meaning of freshness of ingredient, but also every single details like the sauce of the abalone and the mango sauce of the fish sashimi.

F&B victor Caesar and Andy were very attentive, often checking in to see if we needed anything Their team made our experience excellent. The food was also up to your usual high standard.

My business friend invited me to have a business lunch on September 12, 2018. We ordered the reasonably priced “Mini Kaiseki” at HK$480 per person. The food, presentation, service and ambience were superb. The pork loin and the red bean ice cream dessert exceeded my expectations!
Peter C — Google review
Ive eaten Japanese food in many restaurants around the world. This is one of the best for Sushi and Sashimi. The difference are things that many wont notice. The fish is not cold when served so the flavour is full and the mouth feel ideal. The Nori has not been pushed into the rice on the gunkan so it remains crisp. Chef has kept an eye on your progress and hands you your handroll from his had to yours only when you are ready to eat it and freshly wrapped seconds before. The base ingredients like the uni are just perfect. Chef happily made me sushi not on the menu at my request and they were a delight. It is far from cheap but the value is good. The reason for no pictures is that I wont use my phone during a sensory experience like this.

Japanese restaurant
Sushi Saito, a two Michelin-starred restaurant situated on the 45th floor of the Four Seasons Hong Kong, is an exclusive sushiya with only 16 seats. Reservations are highly sought after and can only be made through a limited-time hotline on the first day of each month. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience where guests are taken on an eclectic culinary journey orchestrated by renowned chef Saito, featuring masterfully crafted Edomae-style nigiri.
If you manage to secure a place, which luckily we did at very short notice, a wonderful and very traditional omakase awaits you. An almost shy Chef Takashi Saito guides you through his Edomae-style offerings with great expertise and impressive craftsmanship. Everyday he imports the fresh fish directly from the Toyosu market in Tokyo and flies it to Hong Kong. All pieces are handpicked and the variety depends on the seasonal availabilities. It is his rice from Akita and Nagamo, however, cooked in spring water from Kagoshima which adds the special texture and flavour of the nigiri. This is a wonderful treat for any lovers of omakase style meals. Highly recommeded!
Christian H — Google review
While more and more Japanese chefs/ restaurants are leaving Hong Kong, decent Sushi restaurants like Saito are not easy to come by these days. It would be unfair to compare here with its sister restaurant in Roppongi, and I admit that under the circumstances this place has done well enough to satisfy my crave for sushi.

Mindblowing omakase edomae sushi on the 45th floor of Four Seasons HK. How can food be this simple and out of this world delicious? Paired our course with two carafes of sake (more than enough). The course will take roughly an hour to complete. The chef will serve you at a relentless pace yet still give you ample time to savour the exquisite flavours of the sea. Deserving of its one Michelin star ⭐️- highly recommended.

Amazing sushi!! All the seafood and top quality ingredients are selected by the sushi master and sent to HK from Japan. Everything from the texture, temperature and flavors were done in perfection and great balance, elegant, authentic and precise.
Rachel A — Google review
Super fresh ingredients and a great chef! I especially loved the uni that just melts in your mouth in a creamy, delicious burst of flavour! All the dishes were incredibly well seasoned with just the right amount of sauce/wasabi, really impressed!
Brian L — Google review
Been here 3 times this year. I was totally blown away the first 2 times for lunch and it was my no.1 favourite sushi restaurant in HK. Finally tried again for dinner and was sadly disappointed that the service and quality had deteriorated. Firstly I had always informed the restaurant on my food allergies at the time of booking and payment. Not only did the chef not take notice, he was unapologetic and seemed annoyed that he had to replace 2 of my sushi. The quality of the uni was also not as good as before, For HK$3900, the dinner is definitely not worth it for this quality and service.
Angela N — Google review
I had been to lots of sushi restaurants from low range to Michelin Star sushi places in japan and Hong Kong. This one is the best that I had been so far! The sushi is extraordinary good! Not only the freshness of sushi, the perfect temperature of the rice, but also the perfect seasoning of appetizers. The otoro and the tamago are the best of best! The only drawback I can say it is a bit expensive for a lunch $1680 plus 10%. Otherwise, it is just perfect, it will never let you down

Sushi restaurant
Udatsu Sushi Hong Kong is a new addition to the dining scene at FWD House 1881 in Tsim Sha Tsui, taking over The Araki space. This marks its first venture outside Tokyo, bringing Chef Hisashi Udatsu's expertise to the city. The 12-seat restaurant boasts a 150-year-old Yoshino cypress counter and hosts rotating Japanese art exhibitions, offering a contemporary approach to hospitality. It's definitely worth a visit for an amazing sushi experience.
Had no idea this was a branch from a Japanese restaurant, but I have been to this location before when it was Araki. I had no expectations, but was pleasantly surprised at the meal. I thought it was innovative and different, but not completely out there. The only fault I would say was that the entire meal was done within 1.5 hours, which was no fault of the chef, but we just ate very quickly. Service from the waitstaff was also attentive and our drinks never needed asking for it be topped up. I would definitely return here again.
Terence F — Google review
Celebrated my five-year work anniversary here! The omakase was exceptional and truly unique - unlike any l've had before. Tuna is usually too heavy for my taste, but theirs... marinated in sweet soy sauce... It was a revelation! The marinade brought out an incredible tenderness while masterfully complementing the natural richness. The entire dining experience was simply unforgettable. Feeling inspired and ready for the next five years!
Yukiee — Google review
Had an incredible pairing dinner here with an omakase course perfectly matched with the Clase Azul tequila collection. The atmosphere beautifully blended Japanese artisanship and culinary elegance. The chefs were polite, highly skilled, and the fish was incredibly fresh. The presentation, especially with the plates, was stunning. Highly recommend!
Sana K — Google review
It is a unique experience here as some of the ingredients (combination) are rarely seen at other sushi restaurants, no matter at Japan or outside Japan Most of the dishes are of good quality with a flavour, only very few of them might a little bit too salty (for myself)
Vivi T — Google review
Honestly it was a gamble to me at least to try the "Udatsu Sushi" branch in Hong Kong, as I did not have a good experience in the Japan one. The Hong Kong Branch did change my mind in good ways which was unexpected! First of all food, the most important. There are a lot of familiar dishes presented. Though every one of them is better than the ones in Japan. The ingredients seemed better? And also the presentation as well. Probably due to the atmosphere with brighter lights in the Hong Kong shop. The smoked tuna was quite good , the shrimp was very nice. The Uni was totally on point! Also the croquette was a nice touch, great mix of flavours. They tend to use a bit of local Hong Kong fishes for a few dishes which are decent. But for this kind of price I prefer all Japanese seafood. Maybe due to restrictions still ? The only let down piece in my opinion was the Eel as it was undercooked and very fishy flavours. Another fish which was a "local white fish" was a bit let down as well. Quite bland and I had fish scales inside. The most curious dish for me was definitely the vegetable roll. As it was really really bad in Japan. Even the people who sat next to us then in Japan, they were from HK. Complained it was bad and a waste of money that dish. The HK one is more tasty but in the end it's just local vegetables roll which I think should not be a main dish. As it's not worth it. The dessert was good especially the ice cream sandwich. The service was not bad and they were quite attentive , especially when I said I had scales in the sushi, "twice" as I ate my partner one as well. Overall it's an new establishment in HK! And way better than the one in Japan in my opinion.

With limited only 12 seats but nice place and enough space. Feeling relax to enjoy the lunch . Very nice and delicious Omakase lunch 👍🏼 for every single dish / piece of sushi put to your plate, the waitress will well introduce and also keep your green tea refilled at hot!

Japanese restaurant
Nestled within the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong, Tempura Uchitsu is a culinary gem that has recently made waves by bringing its two-MICHELIN-starred reputation from Tokyo to this vibrant city. Under the expert guidance of chef Eisaku Hara, diners are treated to an exquisite array of tempura dishes that showcase both seasonal ingredients and innovative preparation techniques.
A truly memorable first experience with tempura omakase. High-quality ingredients as everything tasted fresh and delightful. The batter was light and crisp. Each bite was delightful. Some of the notable ones were uni wrapped in shiso leaf, and soft-shelled turtle spring rolls. The snow crab kadaifu rolls were outstanding, showcasing the chef’s expertise in texture and nuanced flavor. The melon served at the end was sweet and refreshing. Apart from the delicious food, watching the chef at work was an enjoyable experience. The service was great. Staff was attentive and provided detailed explanation on how best to enjoy each dish.
Korapim W — Google review
Returning customer, coming back every quarter. As a tempura place they change their menu really often. They don’t only change the ingredients but they also change the way they prep the food. Used to rank the tempura restaurant I went in roppongi the top but Uchitsu definitely beat it (disclaimer: my experience with tempura restaurants in Japan is limited, but I’ve tried all the top ones in HK). The only thing is their sake menu is on the pricey side, probably more worthwhile getting a bottle of Dom. Awesome service (expect standard warm and friendly four seasons service).
MM F — Google review
Wow! The tempura at this place is incredible, so far, this is the best one I’ve had in Hong Kong. Their menu is great, and the batter is very thin and crispy, which makes the tempura very nice. Overall, this is a great place for tempura, and I 100% recommend trying it as it is very good with variety. The dessert was also very interesting as there was a liquid nitrogen milk flavoured ice cream, which I really enjoyed.
Ryan K — Google review
The freshness and natural taste of the Japan imported ingredients (particularly the shellfish - shrimp/crab/uni) really stands out - as well as the enthusiasm and friendliness of the chef. The non tempura pauses in the omakase are likewise well done.
王浩禾 — Google review
An exciting lunch dining experience with a wide variety of food served, highly recommended the prawn, unami and scallop. It's surprised they didn't get Michelin star here but would be good for us from booking perspective, haha
Billy W — Google review
First overseas branch of the Michelin-ranked Tempura Uchitsu from Tokyo. Flawless and feather-light tempura by Eisaku Hara 原榮作. Serving order between tempura pieces and cold dishes are masterfully orchestrated. Love all the pieces, crab cake, kuruma-ebi, maitake mushroom and bafun uni on shiso leaf are the highlights. The sweet potato is to die for 🤤😍
Jacky L — Google review
You pay for amazing service and excellent food. Obviously this place is on the super pricey side, but the chefs and wait staff are extremely friendly and attentive. All the tempura pieces are fried to perfection, with a unique menu that has a balance of some non-tempura pieces. However, I probably won’t return simply because of the price.
Sabrina H — Google review
Amazing! Light, fluffy, delicate tempura. There wasn’t a dish I didn’t enjoy, and the pear sorbet was just the icing on the cake! What a decadent Christmas meal🎄

Italian restaurant
8 1/2 Otto E Mezzo Bombana is a renowned Italian restaurant in Hong Kong, known for being the only one outside of Italy to receive three Michelin stars. In addition to its exceptional cuisine, the restaurant boasts a dedicated bartender who crafts signature cocktails with flair and theatrics. The Negronis, featuring fortified wine and grapefruit bitters, are prepared using a dramatic mixing technique reminiscent of traditional Asian milk tea preparation.
Back again at 8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana, Hong Kong, one of my favorite spots whenever I’m in town — especially for lunch. The daylight fills the room with a bright and elegant ambiance that perfectly enhances the dining experience. This time, I opted for the 3-course lunch menu, and added two à la carte dishes to share. Every plate was beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. The tuna tartare topped with caviar was a fresh and luxurious start, followed by delicate white asparagus with spring leek purée, and a rich lobster tubetti dish full of depth and aroma. The red prawn in seafood broth was deeply satisfying, while the tagliatelle with beef cheek ragout was comforting yet refined. Each course paired wonderfully with both the Agrapart & Fils Champagne and the 2005 Sassicaia — a truly memorable combination. Service remains professional and attentive, with the team delivering consistency and grace. It’s always a pleasure to return, and this visit gave me the chance to finally leave a well-deserved review. Keep up the excellent work — I look forward to many more wonderful meals here.
ARTYOS — Google review
I had very high expectations for this restaurant, especially given its Michelin 3-star status. While the food didn’t quite deliver the "wow" factor I’d hoped for, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, which elevated the experience. Unexpectedly, the place was packed-even on a weekday—so clearly, it has its loyal fans. Given to the price range and food quality, I am not sure I’d return for a second visit.
S. L — Google review
Very good food, however my expectations from having dined at many 3 Michelin Star places in EU and USA left me feeling bewildered … how the Guide awarded 3 stars here, I have no idea. The staff was lovely and down to earth, friendly and professional. The food was good, no doubt the chef is talented. And then the price at $500 USD a head for what we received left me feeling bitter about the value and overall experience (ordered a la carte). Sorry to not leave a better review but that was my experience.

At 8 1/2 I had a wonderful experience. The food and unique aspects bloomed. With lots of colours, and spectacular meals and courses. The chitara pasta/ red prawn pasta was amazing, the cooking techniques used in their cooking were delightful. I had a joyful experience, and would definitely come sometime soon.

The appetiser: Truffle soup and breads coming from its own oven are memorable. Its shrimp served with hand-made pasta is my favourite and compelling of its balanced flavour of shrimp and other ingredients. Remember to save some space for the dessert on the dessert mart coming at the end of the meal.

Was completely blown away the minute we stepped in. I didn’t even realized this was a Michelin star restaurant but now I can see why. The service is top notch and faultless. Servers were friendly, attentive to the T and knowledgeable. Each dish was cooked and presented in a faultless manner. This is certainly a memorable dining experience which I will remmeber for years to come.

This is the real deal, ladies and gentlemen. Hands down the best fine-dining Italian restaurant in Hong Kong, bar none. Impeccable service and location (at the Landmark in Central). Great value set lunches while get ready to splurge for a fancy dinner. Homemade everything, bread, pasta, dessert, you name it. Excellent wine choices. High class, not over the top. Tasty delight to your taste buds while not feeling too heavy or overwhelmed afterwards. Only one of seven Michelin 3-star restaurants of Hong Kong in the newest 2024 Micheline Guide, for good reasons. 10 stars, each highly deserved!

French restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
BELON, a Michelin-starred French restaurant, has relocated to a new elegant space on Elgin Street with Chef Matthew Kirkley at the helm. The restaurant's fresh interiors were designed by Joyce Wang Studio, blending contemporary accents with old-world charm. The menu has been revamped while retaining popular dishes like the whole roasted three yellow chicken and the Mikan Millefeuille.
I had dinner tasting menu at Belon and overall dining experience was excellent. Food surpassed my expectation in terms of taste and presentation. Portion was surprisingly generous, so we left the restaurant feeling very full and satisfied. Service level was great with attentive staffs that provided thorough explanation along the way. Just one downside is the wine pairing which consisted of mediocre wines and need some improvement. Wine portion was little, esp compared to pairings at other fine dining restaurants. It’d still be ok if the wines paired well with food but frankly it didn’t meet expectation. So I’d recommend just ordering a bottle off the list or bringing a wine at corkage.

The dinner here is amazing and out of my expectations. There are 3 things that impressed us. 1. The waiters are great. They explained every dish in the tone that they really like it. They like giving a speech on how good the food is. This helped to elevate the feeling about the food to be eaten. 2. Every dish has a nice and pleasant presentation that escalated the mood of eating. 3. The service is great. When my wife was going to the toilet, one of the female waiter actively offered to go in to check the toilet cleanliness first. This level of service really surprised us. Most of the food are great at the night, especially the duck. And I loved the foie gras with their soft bread as well! I invited my very good foodie friend to have tasting birthday dinner there and he seemed pleasantly satisfied. 🎂 Just a humble suggestion that they could offer the birthday party with 1 bottle of free corkage. The guests shall be grateful and bring more guests to come. 😉

My dining experience at Belon was flawless from start to finish. Although online reservations require a minimum of two guests, the restaurant kindly accommodated my request for a solo reservation via email—even on a busy Saturday evening. Every interaction with the team was professional yet warm, and the conversation was genuinely enjoyable. To be honest, I wasn’t in the best condition to fully enjoy the meal due to a late arrival and mild heatstroke. So I had to leave some of the appetizer and dessert, which I regret—but every dish was truly perfect. Though I don’t drink alcohol, I could tell that the dishes would pair beautifully with the right wine, and I can only imagine how much more elevated the experience would be. Despite not feeling well, I found myself finishing almost everything thanks to the exquisite preparation by the chefs. I want to sincerely thank the kitchen team and all the staff for their kindness, professionalism, and for making this such a memorable evening.

Ordered a dinner chef selection menu and 6 glasses wine pairing. The duck and fish were amazing. On the wine pairing- champagne and whites were good but the red not so much. Food portions were hugh but wine portions were below average. I'll try the chicken next time.

I visited Belon with my mom to celebrate her birthday and we absolutely loved it!! The food was amazing, very flavorful and with very nice plating😍 Especially, we loved the duck (the best duck we’ve ever tried in our lives). Restaurant has very elegant atmosphere, very pleasant to be there! And the service was amazing, very attentive and friendly)) Absolutely recommend everyone to visit this restaurant!

Just had an amazing experience at BELON with their new head chef, Mina Güçlüer! Blending Mediterranean flair into its iconic French menu. My visit was classy, elegant, and the food was absolutely delicious! Some highlights from my meal ($1688 for dinner tasting menu): -Foie Gras with Plum & Eiswein: The silky liver paired with the icy plum-wine gelée was perfection! -Duck with Apricot & Bulgur: The skin was crispy and beautifully roasted! The 21-day-aged fowl was incredibly flavorful and tender. They also have à la carte options which is great for customizing your meal. Perfect for groups or if you're a picky eater! Definitely recommend checking them out.

We started off the night with their naturally leavened bread with salted butter and we were also given a one bite surprise. The bread had a beautiful crust and was prepared warm to eat. The one bite surprise was a combination of amazing flavors. For appetizers, we ordered the Hokkaido scallop with black truffle pain perdu and the pâté. The scallop mousse with black truffle was so delicious, I wish there was more. Mains, we ordered the venison and the wagyu. Both were nicely presented and opened us to new flavors. For dessert, we ordered the Mont Blanc and the Madagasgar chocolate royal with hazelnut. It was like a piece of art. We were one week late in celebrating our wedding anniversary however, everyone at Belon made this night extra special. We enjoyed an additional the raspberry and the forest tiered desserts. We really appreciate our server, Christine who gave exceptional service and was detailed with explaining each element of the dishes we ordered. All the staff at Belon were very professional and attentive. We will definitely be back to try out more dishes. Thank you for the bread and mini kouign-amann.

Ten Yoshi and Sushi Hiro are two omakase restaurants in Hong Kong that offer a blend of modernity and innovation with the traditional roots of Japanese cuisine. At Ten Yoshi, the chefs delight guests with extravagant ingredients and unique creations, like their famous sea urchin bowl. While it comes at a high price starting from $1,980 for an Omakase menu, the chefs' dedication to each dish guarantees an elevated dining experience.
Very nice and calm Japanese restaurant, great for a lunch during a busy day! I went for a lunch alone and enjoyed everything about this place. I had been searching for udon soup around Causeway Bay and decided to try out this spot. Upon arrival the host showed me to a table and immediately brought me tea. He was ready to take my order as soon as I put down the menu and was quick to give me my first course (salad and steamed egg). I explained I was vegetarian and they made sure everything I had was without fish. The main course was great, the soup was delicious and the staff was very attentive. It also came with a small dessert and coffee or tea after the meal. I’m leaving very full and very happy!

Well we went to Ten Yoshi which is no longer associated with Sushi Hiro. They are tempura specialists. Having closed down in late 2019 (people didn't want to dine out during Street demonstrations), it was sold to another Japanese investor and restarted. They had a change in chef, twice over the past several years before closing down. The first change was to a business conscious chef, and we noticed a definite lowering of food quality. Then when they lost customers, they changed to a better, and older chef and food was great again. On this re opening they called back the business conscious chef. The lunch pick your own tempura menu is gone. The set lunch was adequate in quantity but some of the more interesting items are no longer offered. Woukd I come back again? Probably. But let's see how the virus pans out.

The Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong offers sophisticated accommodations with stunning views of Victoria Harbour. Situated near the International Finance Centre, it's a prime choice for business travelers. The hotel features upscale dining options including a three-Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant and a two-Michelin-starred French restaurant with an extensive wine cellar. With its blend of French and Chinese aesthetics, Caprice provides a unique dining experience overlooking the harbor.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Four Seasons in Hong Kong, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is simply incredible, featuring brand new, immaculate rooms that offer breathtaking views of the city skyline and harbor. My friend and I felt like royalty throughout our stay, thanks to the exceptional service and attention to detail provided by the staff. The amenities are truly top-notch. The gym is well-equipped and perfect for maintaining your fitness routine, while the panoramic pool is a highlight—offering stunning vistas that make for a truly relaxing atmosphere. This was my first time at the Four Seasons Hong Kong ( i stayed almost all the four seasons worldwide) , and I was thoroughly impressed. I had dined at their renowned Chinese restaurant on several occasions before, and it never fails to amaze me with its exquisite dishes and impeccable service. Once again, it did not disappoint; the culinary experience was nothing short of outstanding. Overall, my stay was a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. Thank you to everyone at the Four Seasons for making our visit so memorable. I can’t wait to return for another fantastic stay!

Fantastic stay at The Four Seasons HK! Our room faced Victoria harbour and we had a great view of Kowloon opposite and it was somehow therapeutic sitting there to watch the sun rise, sunset and even that typhoon. Service was excellent and the hotel gave us a complimentary giant macaron for our 25th wedding anniversary . We also went to Argo for drinks and lovely service too, though the drinks did not impress. On the other hand, Caprice where we had lunch was extremely good. From service to food, we enjoyed the lunch very much. Lovely lovely stay, will love to stay here again.

It's been 20 years since my last stay at the Four Seasons Hong Kong, and yet it still feels iconic. Our suite was really spacious with incredible views of Victoria Harbor and Kowloon, and staff remain genuinely warm and attentive. The Executive Club on the 45th floor was also a highlight, with great food and champagne from morning to night across breakfast, afternoon tea, and an evening supper service.

This is now my favorite hotel in the world and I wish to express how wonderful everyone helped us feel, which all started with Benjamin at reception. He listened to my requests and went above and beyond the typical service I'm used to and met all of them. From wanting a quite room, special meals, pool time and a well needed extended weekend stay - Benjamin epitomizes what this wonderful hotel has to offer. That stands true for anywhere you may go within the Four Seasons Hong Kong - the pool, breakfast buffet, the concierge! Everyone helped make my stay an exceptional experience and I will surely come back again and again! Thank you to everyone at the Four Seasons Hong Kong!

The harbor view from the room was absolutely stunning, I could gaze at it for a long, long time. There are sky bridges connecting to many shopping malls, though it takes a bit of walking and it’s easy to get lost until you get familiar with the area. Overall, the view truly left a lasting impression.

This hotel with the team is amazing! Everything was on point during our stay with fantastic support around organizing transportation, special food requests at the restaurant in the hotel, booking ferry tickets etc.. You need to experience this by yourself to really feel the comfort the team and the hotel gives you! There are great views out of the rooms over the harbour, the quality that the rooms are built is really nice with great interiour design elements and the bed and pillows are crazy, like if you would sleep on a cloud, just fantastic!

Nikusa肉佐 is a sukiyaki specialist offering a wide selection of high-quality seafood and meats, including Miyagi-ken Sendai-shi A5 Wagyu, Japanese oysters, Matsuba crab, Japanese scallops, and cuttlefish. Guests can indulge in these premium ingredients through sizzling Kanto-style sukiyaki, bubbling shabu shabu pots, or a delectable sushi platter.
Does it worth 750 per person for 1.5 hours? Debatable. First of all, we booked 2030 but cannot be seated till after 2045 but they stop you from ordering 2130 sharp. Therefore, you really only have 45 mins of buffet. Second of all, you are limited to how much you can order. 12 items max each order. Each tray of beef has 3 slices. The app also bans your from ordering too frequently. You get locked out for 2 mins from ordering. The first tray of beef was excellent quality. Can tell there were differences from subsequence trays, not as great but still really good! I would revisit but probably only for lunch at a cheaper price

Had Level 3 as sukiyaki experience. Was told to add more money for special experience. The food quality was average. It was not justified for changing all at HKF400.
Eunice N — Google review
Visited this new restaurant for lunch in early May when it just opened, but the experience was disappointing. The $108 set menu I ordered was misleading - it was explained to me as an all-you-can-eat set for the type of meat (beef / pork / chicken) you choose, but turned out to be just a limited portion set with only 4 thin slices of beef!! So, I upgraded to the $178 all-you-can-eat plan, but encountered issues like: 1) unclear cooking instructions on paper vs staff (contradictions on whether to add meat or sauce first) 2) unstable sukiyaki pot temperature: staff has turned the heat so high that beef got stuck to pot once I added it in 😓. And for the whole meal, I have to frequently re-adjust the temperature (higher and lower) 3) QR code ordering system has malfunctioned By the end, I was too exhausted to even try the desserts. 😣 As a new restaurant, they need to improve their menu clarity and train staff on customer service. Unless you just want basic (hot pot style) dishes like fish balls, mushrooms, vegetables, I wouldn't recommend the limited portion $108 lunch set. Though the $178 option is all-you-can-eat, but the meat quality is really mediocre especially given such price. __________________ IG: #roamardtheworld #roamardtheworld_food #roamardtheworld_japanese

Tempura restaurant
Tempura Ippoh, a charming family-run establishment that originated in Osaka 150 years ago, has made its mark in Hong Kong since opening its doors in 2014. This intimate eatery features just eight seats around a counter where diners can witness the artistry of tempura preparation firsthand. The chef, representing the fifth generation of this culinary legacy, skillfully fries seasonal vegetables and seafood to achieve an exquisite crunch using safflower oil.
Been here at least 4-5 times over the past few years and it’s always so good. The tempura is always fried to perfection and premium ingredients used make the taste absolutely spectacular. This is my favourite tempura place in HK that I always find myself coming back to. Service and ambience is great here. Highly recommend trying their omakase lunch menu if you have not.

This place was great! We ordered the tempura set. There were many pieces of tempura such as the sweet corn, scallop, prawn, and many more! At the end, we had the tempura rice. For dessert we had a ice cream sandwich along with fresh fruit. On top of all this, the staff and service was great.

This is a specialized restaurant which serves only tempura. Their lunch menu has just two choices: an 8-pieces set and an omakase set. Ippo is located below my favorite Pho restaurant, Buncha, so I've always been curious about this tempera place. In Japan, traditional tempura restaurants are on the high end so I was a bit hesitant to come into this place. But on my business trip, I was looking for a place I can have a business lunch meeting and thought of Ippo. I was right to choose this place! Ippo has been in business for over 150 years and at this Hong Kong location, the 5th generation chef has flown all the way from Japan. The chef had studied abroad in the United States during his high school years so his English was fluent. I was happy that I can have a conversation with him. The lunch set includes an appetizer, 8 pieces of tempura, soup or salad, and tempura over rice or ochazuke, hot dashi over rice. The lunch set is 480 HKD. All the ingredients are shipped from Japan so everything is delicious. At high end tempura restaurants, they change the frying oil after every use and I saw that they changed the oil after they had prepared my lunch. I had such a delicious and great experience, I want to come back here for dinner next time. I had a peak into their kitchen and saw a water tank with fresh shrimp swimming around, and it looked so clean!

Nice but not nice enough to be worth HKD 1380 (~USD 176) per person. Don't forget there's 10% service charge. Need to go and starve myself for the next month to earn back the money spent on one dinner

We used to book the Zuma brunch many years ago when we lived on HK island and I’m happy to say it is still one of my favorite brunches in Hong Kong. They work the way through a menu of dishes bringing them to the table and you can ask for another serving of any dishes you liked or as was my case - skip a couple due to allergies. Service was excellent. Everything we ate was amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend. It does get very busy so I’d recommend booking

Zuma remains my number one stop whenever I’m in Hong Kong, not only for the cuisine but for the incredible hospitality that makes every visit so memorable. Lung King Heen is a fine dining restaurant located in the Four Seasons Hotel, offering traditional Cantonese cuisine with stunning views of Victoria Harbour. The restaurant is renowned for flawlessly executed dishes such as the unmissable Peking duck and unique baked whole abalone puff with diced chicken by chef Chan Yan Tak.
A shoutout to Yuki, my server for lunch at Lung King Heen. She was professional and considerate explaining different options on the menu and recommended the executive lunch set instead of the à la carte so I could have a better dining experience. She kindly substituted one of the lunch set’s dim sum selections with the pineapple pine nuts BBQ pork bun after learning that I flew 8000 miles from New York to try the bun! All items were refined and delicious. She even threw in a split peas coconut pudding and a small cookie for extra dessert. The lunch set was great for a solo dining experience even it was a bit heavy that I had to skip dinner. The staff members with great attention to details poured tea into my cup as soon as I finished without me asking. The restaurant with a beautiful view also has a world-class team! I will definitely come back when I am in town again. It was a very pleasurable dining experience. Thank you for making my last meal in Hongkong a great one, Yuki!❤️

A Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant? At first I was a little skeptical about the food, since I used to have bad experience with Cantonese food, but it deserves all its reputation. All the dishes are served in a small amount, but as soon as I tasted them, I understand how much effort were put into each: The aroma, flavour, all elaborately designed.

Our first visit to lung king heen was quite a few years back when the restaurant was still holding 3-star. Having been to Lai ching heen recently, we decided to pay lung king heen another visit for the exceptional food which have hold fond memories for us all these years. The food, unfortunately, were slightly shy of the quality we were expecting. The steamed dim sums were of good quality but certainly not exceptional. Ingredients were fresh but frankly speaking, such quality isn’t uncommon amongst reputed Chinese restaurants. The main criticism was the deep-fried dishes being too oily, in particular the prawn toasts. Nevertheless, excellent service as you would expect from a 2-star restaurant.

Absolutely incredible. We were caught in a rain while exploring Hong Kong, and were exploring the area when we remembered we read about this restaurant. We decided to stop by to see if we could possibly dine here. Luckily, they were able to squeeze us in without a reservation for lunch. They do have a dress code, and men must be wearing pants. I was wearing shorts but they were able to lend me a pair of pants. The dining hall is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the harbor. They were able to seat us next to the windows and the atmosphere was amazing. Service was top notch. We decided on the Pu-er tea (fantastic) and it was always filled to the brim. We selected off the a la carte dim sum menu and also tasted the bbq sample with goose, chicken, and pork char siu along with a mushroom chicken soup. The food was an absolute delight. Perhaps the best dim sum I have experienced. Especially the pine nut char siu bo lo bao. It was such a perfect mix of savory and sweet and the texture was phenomenal. Can't imagine a better experience. They were so accommodating and the service was top notch. They are able to speak English, mandarin, and cantonese fluently. Of note, dim sum is not available for dinner.

Attracted by its years of Michelin star rating, I celebrated father's day with my family at the restaurant this year. Some dishes were above average, service impeccable, restaurant vibe was elegant but dated, seating was spacious with great harbour view as we were given a window seat. Yet overall severely overpriced, overrated and the short walk from the lift to the restaurant was dim and corridor was with stale smell which left a bad impression before and after the meal. We tried the HK$2280 per pax tasting menu (over HK$10,000 for 4 pax) and had great expectations but what we got was disappointing. Jellyfish was the toughest I have eaten, thick chicken soup was coarse to the taste. Fried oyster, lobster and steamed garoupa and chilli sauce choices were the best. Tangerine peel dessert was pleasing to the eye but tasted bad. Other food items were just about average. Dining at this high rated Michelin-starred restaurant can surely satisfy one's ego, yet it fails to live up to my expectations and not worth the ridiculously high price from what you get.

Just experienced pure culinary bliss at Lung King Heen, Four Seasons Hong Kong! The service lived up to the impeccable Four Seasons standard, making the entire meal flawless. Dim sum was exquisite, and the seasonal recommendations were a delightful surprise. But the real showstoppers were the sensational Peking Duck and the unforgettable mango pudding. Be sure to pre-book that duck!

Restaurant
Caprice is an upscale French fine dining restaurant located in the prestigious Four Seasons hotel. The restaurant offers a vegetarian menu and a selection of artisanal cheeses. Adjacent to the dining room, Caprice Bar provides an intimate setting for enjoying fine wines and cheeses. Guests can also indulge in seasonal cocktails crafted by skilled bartenders. Chef de Cuisine Guillaume Galliot brings his extensive travel experiences into play, infusing classic French cuisine with international flavors.
Absolutely deserving of its name, this restaurant offers exceptional hospitality paired with mind-blowing dishes. I had the pleasure of trying the Menu Connaisseur, which takes you on a delightful journey through the Pacific Ocean. The use of citrus in the sauces for each dish is exquisite and complements the baby coriander beautifully. I also appreciate the consistency and traditional Western style reflected throughout the menu. I will definitely be returning!

This restaurant is good for celebration as the service is good with a nice view. We have tried the $1888/p set. The entrees are tasty with sea urchin, beef tartar with caviar. The main courses (fish & lamb) can be better. The dessert is chocolate soufflé which is not soft enough. Car park is free.

It’s a birthday celebration. Lunch set menu. Food was ok, the total seasoning was too strong and kinda salty. Would expect more refreshing dishes in summer time. However, the staff Jason and the rest of the restaurant host delivered a warm and welcoming service which made the whole experience quite pleasant. Price was fair in such nice environment and service standard.

It was an absolute delight to have dinner at Caprice restaurant in Hong Kong. Special thanks to the service team for promptly addressing all our inquiries and to the chef for customizing the menu to accommodate our dietary needs. We reserved a spot for the “signature menu” and came away completely pleased not just with the dishes outlined in the menu but also delighted by the extra desserts and treats. While we did experience a lengthy wait for the main course, the staff compensated for it with ongoing updates and complimentary desserts. I rated the atmosphere a 4, as having more classical music would enhance the evening's vibe. Everything else was absolutely perfect.
Anelia B — Google review
Food was pretty up to the standard of fine dining restaurants until the main course, the duck that was smoked with cherry wood which we were really looking forward to was a bit of a disappointment, it was way too thin cut that it no longer feels like you are eating meat at all, and the taste was really so so probably because of the texture. Portion wise it is quite a fulfilling portion, by the end of the meal you will definitely feel full unless you take the express menu. Service wise they are attentive and they do have interesting and good recommendations on wine. Atmosphere wise you have a fantastic view of the Victoria Harbour if you seats next to the window. It was quite a surprise to find cigarettes butts inside the toliet in restaurant like this so it was a bit unacceptable in this area. Price wise it is an overcharged price restaurant in my opinion as there are better restaurants with better food taste and more innovative than them.

this was one of the best meals i've ever had in my life, well deserving of its unbroken consecutive rating of 3 stars for many years!! each dish was executed to perfection, superb balance of flavours and textures in every bite loved in particular the amuse bouche (burrata, caviar and anchovy mousse), beef tartare, roasted lamb (done 2 ways) and of course, my personal favourite, the unparalleled cheese selection!! the wine pairing was also amazing - even as a wine noob i appreciated the diversity of tasting notes and each glass was the perfect complement for its accompanying dish i was so full i couldn't even stomach the dainty petit fours but i heard they were yummy too views of the harbour are amazing service was also exceptional from all the staff, and special shoutout to roy for his hospitality and patience i already can't wait for my next visit

My dining experience at the W Hotel buffet was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately captivated by the breathtaking view that accompanied the meal. The panoramic scenery through the large windows created a serene and luxurious atmosphere, making the dining experience all the more memorable. However, it wasn’t just the view that stood out. This is the BEST hotel-grade buffet I have had. The service is amazing, waiters are very attentive and well-mannered. Food is in best quality, served in smaller portions but refilled very quickly. There are choices of seafood and meat 🥩, Chinese, Japanese cuisines, and Indian dishes as a great highlight ✨ Tiramisu is spot on! 🤎 Ofc, the sea view is also one of their great selling point.

We used to come to Kitchen often before COVID. Although we did come back a couple of times during COVID, it's been a while. With the Easter special, we decided to check it out again for a celebration! A bit disappointed that no more freshly shucked oysters were served. They explained the quality from the source was unstable. Hope they would look for other sources! The whole lamb looked good. Glad that service, food quality and ambience have kept to the standard which is expected. Drinks have become self-served, to me, I was quite happy.

A huge thank you to William for his outstanding hospitality—his warm smile, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel so welcome. And apart from William, the entire service team was fantastic—friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Service like this makes all the difference. Thank you again, William and team, for making our celebration so memorable!

Tried their dinner buffet with my family. I would say the choices of food are not as abundant as some other places. However, I do think the quality of the food was quite good. I find myself enjoying the hot dishes like the stewed abalone and soup with fish maw quite a lot. The service was great. The view was also quite spectacular. One thing that I was disappointed about was the there scallop shells had a bit of sand on it.

Perched on the 25th floor of the Mandarin Oriental, The Aubrey is a unique Japanese izakaya that offers stunning panoramic views of Hong Kong. This stylish establishment boasts carefully curated design elements, including commissioned artwork and a playlist featuring groovy tunes to create an intimate atmosphere. Embracing Hong Kong's reputation as a hub for cultural exchange while honoring Japanism, The Aubrey celebrates both influences through its decor and culinary offerings.
The Aubrey in Hong Kong, located in the Mandarin Oriental, is an absolute gem! The interior is stunning, with a chic and intimate ambiance that feels perfect for a romantic date or celebrating something special. I recently visited, and the service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing. The drinks were fantastic, and I’d highly recommend trying their Negroni—it was perfectly balanced. The whole experience felt luxurious but still warm and inviting. If you’re looking for a classy spot for cocktails or a memorable evening out, The Aubrey is a must-visit. Can’t wait to go back!

Atmosphere, decoration, location, drinks, food all world class. Thoroughly recommend this spot. It has deservedly become a place to be seen on Friday nights too. Well done to the team behind this, in a notoriously competitive F&B environment
Patrick C — Google review
The food was excellent at the Aubrey. Great taste, especially the snacks/starters were on point. Hamachi rolls and kerage chicken were the best. The mains were overall disappointing, the udon were a bit strange, slippery and eggy and milky. The pork however was super tasty and soft. We came while the best bar take over was on, and the drinks were a bot meh, being at the different bars, the drinks presented at the Aubrey were disappointing, mild not a good representation of the HK best bars. Finally, the sitting area was wonderful. Super chill, great interiors but freezing cold. Must also say that the cool interiors clash a bit with the izakaya idea. Was like being in an English gastro pub where served Japanese style pub food.

Service is as expected from MO. Got the sashimi set which is quite good but honestly feels tad overpriced, maybe choosing the three Bento is better! If you upgrade to the beef! But the Wagyu sando is to kill for! Very yummy and expensive piece! But defo a better environment, especially for quality lunch as table are well-placed, so it doesn't get too rowdy. Also came here for bar, I thought it was a bit loud but I had good things that you can have good environment to chat, maybe my table or bad luck! But they have a lot of drinks but pricy for sure!

Went to Aubrey for drinks on a cool, cloudy Saturday evening and felt instantly uplifted. We got a table by the window and got a great view of the harbour and the giant Ferris wheel. 5 stars for the following: - Service (our waiter recommended amazing drinks for us) - Comfort (the seats were ultra comfortable) - Bartender (the drinks were DELICIOUS) - Atmosphere (the VIBE was uplifting, classy, and calm) - Music (perfect volume and genre) - Interior decor (special mention for how classy it truly looks - not all hotel bars look this presentable in Hong Kong) Go only if you wish to have a guaranteed special time 😎

Brilliant bento box style lunch. Really cool environment and great service. I look forward to coming back for dinner. The lunch is not too expensive if you go with the set menu.

Atmosphere 8.5/10 Located inside the Mandarin Oriental hotel. Accordingly very high-end atmosphere and interior design elements. There are two different bar areas, with the main bar positioned in the middle of the room, creating a nice cocktail bar vibe. However, for the floor it is located on, the views are poor. The dress code is smart casual. Drinks 6/10 Recommendation: - The menu design is nice with a lot of signature cocktails, which all have some history behind them. However, the drinks did not taste good, nor did they have any interesting presentation orgarnish. Normal glassware is used. Nice coasters are provided. Service 5/10 This was a big disappointment for a place like the Mandarin Oriental. The bartender had no clue about their menu and couldn’t explain it or tell me where I can find food options. They serve water and complimentary snacks on the spot. But the price tag is just too high for the service level offered.
Anton S — Google review
In Between the Line is hands down the best cocktail I’ve had in Hong Kong—and I’ve been to many bars. I’d love to return and try more from their menu. The atmosphere is classic and elegant, fitting for a bar in the Mandarin Oriental. However, service was a letdown. I visited solo at 2:30 PM when it wasn’t busy, but the bartenders were preoccupied with prep work, like carving ice, and weren’t very friendly. I expected some casual conversation but didn’t get much engagement. I’ll definitely revisit for the cocktails, but next time, I’ll go at a different time or day for a better experience.

Service was excellent and the ingredients were very fresh. Staff and team were more than accommodating - tweaking their risotto Fruitti Di mare to a pasta based dish for us. In addition of attention was given to the details. Our scallops were grill before being added to the dish, giving it an added smokiness. Set meal was value for money too!

Been opened for about a month or two, replacing Gordon Ramsays restaurant. Vibe was decent, but handled table seating poorly. Two distinct crowds; family and dates/night out. We were sat between two family tables with kids, with a girl's night out table next to them. Food was decent; and wasn't mind blown. Uni pasta was very good when you eat it with the uni; otherwise, nothing special. Pork was dry, but potatoes were cooked perfectly. Aubergine starter was good. Lots of teething issues with service; slow to refill water, get our bill, and to reorder things. I won't come again any time soon, until they settle down. Staff were very polite and willing to help, just teething issues in general.

The food quality was at it's best along with the attentive service. All the food tasted good and the ingredients used were fresh. The best pizza in town. Even the dessert and presentation is awesome. The Manger Mr. Moy have a great team and I was fortunate enough to meet the excellent Chef Kamal. Highly recommend if going to The Peak.

Have eaten about 75% of the menu over more than a dozen visits since it opened due to my frequent regular walks at The Peak. Excellent pizza and pasta dishes. The desserts are to die for. Love the tiramisu and panacotta. They used to have a Baba au Rum too which was sinfully delicious but is now gone from the menu. The service though is not nearly as good as the food. With the exception of one male server, the other staff (servers, hostess, manager) are aloof, cold, quick to avoid eye contact, and it's not easy to get any attention from them. Even as a weekly regular with a large dog in tow every time, they make no effort in remembering returning diners or even crack a smile during their interactions with the guests. So come for the food but don't expect a genuine welcome or any warmth in their service.

As one of the most well-known Japanese restaurants in town, located within a top-tier hotel, premium pricing paired with exceptional quality has always been expected—and previously well justified. For years, I was happy to pay $320 for their beef udon lunch set, which used to come with tender beef, flavorful udon, fresh sashimi, and well-crafted side dishes. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing. The beef was tough, the udon lacked the usual quality, and the sashimi was bland and had a rubbery texture, suggesting it had been frozen for an extended period. The overall experience no longer lives up to the price point.

Fish Bar at JW Marriott in Hong Kong is a standout in the city's seafood scene. The rooftop restaurant offers daily fresh fish and sustainable seafood options prepared simply to highlight their quality. A must-try dish is the crab & lobster cake, generously stuffed with fresh crab and lobster, served with arugula, candied cherry tomato, and Fish Bar's signature tartar sauce.

What a great tucked away establishment. Sit alfresco, by the pool, and enjoy your meal and drinks. The fish and Chips were very good - thin batter and not greasy. The mussels were the BIGGEST that we have every seen - from NZ apparently. Our affable waiter was very good. The only negative is that the selection of beer on tap is too few and ordinarily poor.

So sorry to report that no matter how many times I come I just feel that it's no good. Have had it half a dozen times throughout the years. The fish of the fish and chips are still a bit fishy, or not moist enough. The batter is not well seasoned. Chips too small a portion. We went again after a few years, and it was disappointing still. The ahi tuna in the salad was off, for a restaurant called the fish bar, this was unacceptable. You could see that the color of the tuna was not fresh and I can't believe they still served it. We ordered battered garoupa and fries which was still not very well seasoned and a little fishy. The only acceptable dish was the crab cake.

The terrace provides a tranquil atmosphere for savoring drinks and desserts before or after indulging in Italian cuisine. The warm and inviting outdoor space features large banquettes and a lively ambiance.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exquisite fine-dining restaurant(spiga), and I must say, the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The food, service, and attention to detail truly exceeded my expectations. The ** truffle beef tartare** was absolutely divine—perfectly seasoned and prepared with utmost care. The flavor combinations were impeccable, with every bite offering a delightful balance of freshness and richness. It’s undoubtedly one of the best I’ve ever had. The ** truffle pizza** was another standout dish. The crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings were fresh, and the addition of truffle made it extraordinarily fragrant. The aroma of truffle was so enticing that it elevated the entire dish to a new level of indulgence. Every component worked harmoniously to deliver a truly luxurious dining experience. To top it all off, the service was unmatched. Unfortunately, I accidentally left my power bank at the restaurant, but one of the waitstaff, **Onisha**, promptly called me to inform me and kindly reminded me to retrieve it. Such attentiveness and care are rare and greatly appreciated. This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorites, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a refined and memorable dining experience. I’ll certainly be returning soon!

The weekend brunch menu was great! You might be a little taken aback by the price at first at $598 per person, but it comes with a seafood or cold cuts platter, a choice of four antipasti dishes, a main course, and a selection of desserts. We were super full by the end! This restaurant also has a nice outdoor terrace for drinks and private events.

Foods were nice, we enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere there. However, the service was not very pleasant as the staff were not responsive. On that night, it’s not a crowded night, but we still had to wait for long time to order.

I recently enjoyed an outstanding lunch buffet that truly exceeded my expectations! The selection was diverse and delicious, showcasing fresh ingredients and a variety of flavors that catered to every palate. A special mention goes to the sommelier Alberto, whose expertise enhanced the experience. He recommended the perfect wine pairings, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. His attentive service and knowledgeable insights made the dining experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fantastic lunch buffet and top-notch service. I can't wait for my next visit!

We recently held a networking social event here for the evening. We were outside in the terrace space, which was a beautiful space to socialise in. The staff were super friendly, making sure that all of the attendees had drinks on them, or to check if they needed refills throughout the evening, which was much appreciated as this allowed our guests to continue conversate. The venue has a great selection of canopes, which were also consistently given out to guests throughout the evening. Thank you to all of the Spiga staff- you were fantastic and helped make our event one to remember!

Pleasantly surprised by this place. We went for the lunchtime rush. The offerings are full of flavour and plentiful. Constant refills of water and fast service by very friendly and attentive staff. The buffet contains a lot of options that would be easily enough for one person, but I would also recommend trying the pizza as it was actually top tier. On face value this is somewhere I would never go but it really did exceed my expectations.

The Lounge at JW Marriott offers a delightful afternoon tea experience with a selection of traditional English and Cantonese sweets and savories, accompanied by over 30 varieties of tea. Guests can choose from the Afternoon Tea Set with Champagne or the unlimited Afternoon Tea Buffet. This bustling lounge, located near the dramatic glass atrium in the lobby, is perfect for enjoying breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drinks.
Very comfy environment for business lunch or casual gathering. Very spacious settings and bright interior. Services is great too. It was a buffet style lunch. Since it was a business meet up, I totally forgot to take photos of the food this time.

Absolute favorite Sunday brunch in Hong Kong. What an impressive spread and kudos to keeping to a proper seating window that doesn’t force you to leave after 2hrs! The venue is also beautiful with huge windows, lots of light, and a live piano player that comes on for the afternoon. Not necessarily the biggest choice but fantastic quality. Teppanyaki steak is perfectly medium rare. Fish is not overdone. Fois gras is properly toasted. And most of all, the snow crab legs and lobsters have taste! Unlimited 4 types of caviar is also a treat. Weekday noodle buffet is also very good and affordable. Make sure to book in advance!
James G — Google review
It’s an interesting buffet because it mostly focuses on Cantonese food. The selection is not huge, but you get a good variety of hot Cantonese dishes. The salad bar and the noodle bar are great because you get to customize your salad or your bowl of noodles exactly how you want it. You can also choose from four different types of soup bases for your noodles!
FT — Google review
Went here with colleagues for farewell lunch. . We chose between the buffet selections, namely the Asian-inspired Bistro Buffet and Noodle Bar Buffet. For the Noodle Bar Buffet, their laksa soup base smelled fragrant and was flavoured with coconut milk. You could choose ingredients such as shrimp, wunton, raddish, fishball, mushroom, charsiu, etc. Liked the soft boiled egg the most becoz of its warm runny yolk. For the Asian-inspired Bistro Buffet, one could choose from sushi, beef curry, roasted chicken, fried pork chop, etc. The beef curry was savoury and tender. The roasted chicken was smooth and meaty too. Yet, the pork chop was really dry and tasted bland. Personally I preferred the Noodle Bar Buffet more than the Asian-inspired Bistro Buffet. . Relaxing environment becoz of its enormous French windows and comfortable sofas.

Booked dinner buffet for birthday celebration. Waiter would collect dishes and filling water, and that's all. The staffs would arrange seats, but they won't announce the commence of buffet, they don't explain to the guest what is including in the package. My gf take a glass of wine, which is exclude from my package, I explained to her and put the wine under table, however, the waiter will approach you and make me very embarrass. Overall, the service provided was fail and was not recommend.

Went for the weekend dinner buffet. It was pricey but the quality and variety of spread was good enough. The definite highlights were the fresh seafood (in the sashimi section), scallops, peking duck wraps, and dessert section (mix of glutinous Asian desserts, refined cakes and self serve icecream). Service was efficient. Seating was comfortable. And there was a good enough view of the twinkling Hong Kong skyline.

I was here for an afternoon tea which was featured with natura bisse. Booking in advance is essential. The tea overall was excellent. They made both the savouries and sweets very well and the protein was balanced. For the savouries, i love the abalone tart the best! The deep fried prawn was my second best. Then the sweets, i think the one who designed them should take the biggest credit. All the little sweets were a good mix for different ingredients. You can feel very complex but matching taste at your taste buds. I especially love the green apple sphere! But i can really say all were good and even if you are really full, don’t miss any one of them. Lovely.

Went in October 2020 for afternoon tea buffet. The service was good. Staffs were keen to serve us. The environment was also very clean. The food choices for afternoon tea was not very wide but everything served were good. The steak and the fried pigeon was very succulent and juicy. Also recommend the freshly handmade pork and shrimp dumpling. Here are some of the dessert section before the buffet started!

Sushi takeaway
FUMI is a Japanese restaurant and bar that offers an all-you-can-eat brunch featuring a wide array of Japanese delicacies, with a focus on crab dishes. The menu includes unlimited servings of snow crab legs, A4 Miyazaki Beef, appetizers, sashimi, sushi rolls, tempura, and grilled items.
✅ The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering Japanese sashimi , tempura, main dishes and cocktails. ✅ Authentic and excellent ✅ It just looks like a japanese local izakaya, with nice sake cellar that give it life and vibrancy. Dim lighting with lots of wood makes this place super cozy and cool.

It’s really a nice place for celebrating birthdays with friends! Price is reasonable , service is good !
Platts V — Google review
We tried FUMI as it is ranked one of the best sushi in Hong Kong. They are, of course, a very popular spot being almost full house when we had dinner there. Understandably, we were seated with other diners on the same table to accommodate the restaurant having more people. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a lively sushi house full of chatter and people. However, if you wanted it to be a quiet, romantic date night, you are probably in the wrong place... We ordered the FUMI tasting menu and two other rolls: FUMI signature roll and a soft-shell crab roll. They taste pretty good with some flares of innovation, combining different palates together to spur new tastes in Japanese cuisine. I like its creativity but feel that it was pretty average for the level of restaurant it portrays itself. Having been to many great Japanese food locations across the globe, this, unfortunately, is just okay.

Went here for lunch several years ago. This time round came here for dinner on the weekend. The place is not packed and service is brilliant. There is always someone refilling tea and is very polite. The food taste yum for the sashimi don and pork shabu shabu. The oyster tartare would be good if they come with wasabi. Presentation is great. Remember to book with using open rice, as they will give u 10% off.

Excellent food, top notch service. The 12 pieces sushi set was the best. 12 different types of fish and shellfish and the rice texture was really good, not too sticky, still grainy, not too dense. The sushi roll was super tasty as well! Will definitely visit again

Sushi Shikon, located on the seventh floor of the Landmark Mandarin Oriental, offers an authentic Tokyo sushi bar experience. Executive chef Yoshiharu Kakinuma, mentored by Masahiro Yoshitake, brings the excellence of Yoshitake's original Ginza restaurant to Hong Kong. The establishment has maintained three Michelin stars since its opening in 2014.
Just perfect homakase menu and topnotch sushi. Sit at the counter and enjoy the view and chat with the Chef...thanks for best sushi I ever had! Excellence at its best. 4 stars for service because i had to wait 3 minutes before opening.
Christo C — Google review
Three Michelin stars? For what? This doesn’t even deserve a basic recommendation. Every piece of sushi was overwhelmed by vinegar genuinely unpleasant, and simply not edible. This was the worst sushi I’ve ever had, especially at this level. Service was disconnected no one asked why plates went back untouched. No interest at all. We saw premium seafood being prepared in front of us, but none of it was served or even offered. When we asked, we were told it was “for the next seating”. The entire experience felt like we were intruding on someone else’s prep kitchen. Poor value, zero engagement, and no sense of hospitality. Absolutely not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone expecting proper omakase or fine dining standards
Critic G — Google review
Simply phenomenal. A massive highlight and will return again. Arguably the best sushi in HK - each piece of aged sushi was especially delightful, and left me wanting more. Can’t wait till the next time!
Melissa L — Google review
I booked my one year anniversary dinner with my girlfriend at Shikon this past Friday and all I can really say is Wow! The experience was one of a kind! Our menu congratulated us with a beautiful personal touch. The ambiance was very pure, clean, and traditional whisking us away to Tokyo. Shikon’s staff was super attentive and professional. However the star of the show was Chef Kaki San and the cuisine! Each dish, be it the appetizers or sushi mains were full of different flavors, amazing and unique. The ingredients flown to Hong Kong daily from Japan were incredibly fresh. To witness Chef Kaki San plate is the equivalent of seeing an artist create a work. My absolute favorite was Shikon’s signature Abalone with liver sauce, delicate soft texture and rich flavorful combination melted in my mouth. The medium fatty and fatty Toro sushi were close seconds! Overall, Sushi Shikon and Chef Kaki San with his team provided a memorable special experience! More than worthy of 3 Michelin stars, I will definitely be back and cannot recommend dining here enough!
Eric S — Google review
Ive given it 2 star not because it tasted bad but rather because it didn’t tasted great. It was such an average meal that I wouldn’t go pay more than 1000HKD (it was 3.5k lunch menu) and it was even more disappointing knowing that is it a 3 star restaurant for 10 years!! Even through is a lunch menu but i should expect the same level of satisfaction as dinner. But the fish was not any special, I also didn’t think it was exceptional selection, my favorite might be horse mackerel and uni (expected); the signature dish was not that good as well like it felt like it was lacking some texture or depth. I would’ve been happy to pay for an experience but there was no story or emotion behind it. Everything was so average and just average. But the services is exceptional as always. Also I think being at the mandarins means a certain level of quality but I was just so underwhelmed
Michelle C — Google review
I have to agree with other reviewers that unfortunately it's not worth the high pricetag this restaurant commends. The food was wonderful, really no complaints about that. The chef was occupied with another Asian couple the whole night and the dinner dragged because of their chatter while we were mostly served like we are in a fast food restaurant. We felt like if you want to have a private conversation just book him privately. The youngest chef was SUPER nice to us, big props to him!
Nick D — Google review
I came back to Sushi Shikon after 4 years. My had a very good experience my first time, (it was just before Covid). This time my expectation was very high, also because I read a lot of bad reviews. I chose also a sake pairing for my omakase experience. The dinner was good, not great. I was expecting a bit more particular dishes as the first time but unfortunately didn’t get any. I added to my experience the octopus and a gunkan with sea urchin which costed me 200+550hkd. I mean the experience was very good but it didn’t give me a wow effect and something to distinguish themselves from the other omakase as I expect from a 3 Michelin Stars restaurant. I felt also the dinner a bit rushed as well. Last time I had around 2:30 relaxing experience, this time in 1:30 we were done… Anyway the service was excellent which is a must for such kind of restaurant
Kristian J — Google review
This is my first time to Shikon. It’s quite different to other Omakase I’ve been to. I’ve realize that out of all the places I’ve been through, Shikon is the only place that doesn’t de-skin the fish before hand. The chef did it as he filet the ingredients. The way the chef slices the fish is also different, and this can truly change the texture of the fish. What I thought would be chewy can be really tender. The meticulous preparation resulted in a meal that is every bit live up to its three stars award. The Uni was done better than any other Omakase place I’ve been to. The rice has a little more pronounce taste, which brought out the taste of the Uni ever more. Shikon also has the best Kinmedai I’ve ever had. Even the usually hated Kohada taste great here 😊

Japanese restaurant
Deluxe Daikiya Japanese Restaurant is a popular all-you-can-eat spot that often gets fully booked in advance. It's known for offering the freshest sashimi in town, along with a wide variety of dishes including sushi rolls, skewers, tempura, and more. If you plan ahead and book seats for your birthday celebration, you'll even receive a complimentary birthday cake and soft drinks.
This has been recommended to me and on my list to go to for some time now so lucky to have had the time to come and visit. Originally I thought I booked it for the same day at 9pm, but when I arrived I accidentally booked it for the day after. Luckily the receptionist was nice and friendly and helped me get a table without any wait. My dad wanted sushi and my mum doesn't eat raw fish so this was actually a perfect place to visit as they had a wide variety to choose from. It's quite self explanatory, scan the QR code and order items from your phone. Drinks, hot food, desserts, and other items are self service. They had warm sake on tap!! And it was so good! Everything tasted fresh and I think in total between the 4 of us we had ordered about 122 items, we were full to the brim! I'd 100% come here again!
Joanne T — Google review
Affordable Japanese all-you-can-eat options have been dwindling lately, which left us feeling a bit pessimistic about our dining experience. With that in mind, I approached the meal without high expectations, just hoping for something decent. However, I was pleasantly surprised right from the start! The first dish that arrived at our table was incredibly enticing; it was beautifully presented and clearly showed a lot of thought and care in its preparation 😍. Considering the reasonable price point💯💯💯, I was genuinely impressed. The sashimi was particularly noteworthy—it was not only fresh but also delightfully fatty, which made each bite incredibly satisfying 😋🤤. My friend and I both agreed that we felt completely satisfied after this meal, which is a testament to the quality we received for the price we paid 👍. Additionally, I must highlight the service we received. Compared to other all-you-can-eat establishments, the staff here had a notably better attitude. They were attentive, answered our questions thoroughly, and maintained a polite waitiness throughout our visit. This kind of service made the experience even more enjoyable, and it certainly contributed to our overall satisfaction. I left the restaurant feeling happy and content, which is always a good sign when dining out.☺️☺️☺️☺️

Great varieties including foie gras, pigeon, sashimi, fresh shrimp, lamb rack, abalone, fish maw, soft shell crab, eel.. to order. There are also regular hot dishes such as roasted pork, duck, dim sum etc. typical of a buffet and many choices of special drinks. The meal time is 2 hours and the restaurants are pretty full. Overall a great buffet .
Olivia T — Google review
Even with 3 hours of allowance, it’s impossible to eat and drink everything on offer. There are simply so many choices of food and drinks that your stomach simply does not have the capacity to tackle the challenge. If you are a big eater, the variety of food and drinks is well worth the price. On the other hand, if you don’t have a ferocious appetite, it is at least worth the experience.
LonelyWolf — Google review
we're very disappointed. a big group of people we had, but most of the food we ordered they only came a part of it. and goose liver that never came. we've asked and reordered a few times (per instructed), the old order never come, the new ones only came 7 piece at last. we could tell this restaurant is limiting people to order their higher priced item. then why do they bother to put it on the menu and do a all-you-can-eat? No, never again.
Giami L — Google review
All you can eat japanese food, what's not to love. We went around lunch time had around 2.5hrs to order, last 30mins was last order. Food and drinks stations and order via the app. Food arrived quickly and very well cooked and seasoned. Seating quite good considering the amount of people seated. Staff friendly and quick to clean your empty plates. I recommend the grilled beef tongue and lamb chops
Tiger_vii — Google review
A very well priced all you can eat so you can’t expect top quality, but wowww the variety. I was rly impressed with their spread! Impressive hot foods include fish maw, lamb rack, suckling pork. Massive selection of drinks too & the hk milk tea was so good! They also have sake/soju on tap which is abit cray haha. Did find the whole deposit situation very old fashioned. You have to bring a printed copy of the paid deposit to get it knocked off the bill… Overall would visit if you want a cheap & cheery all you can eat meal
E L — Google review
Sashimi was not cleaned/trimmed properly, and there were bones in some of the salmon sashimi. We ordered some hot food items such as a rack of lamb, beef ribs, porridge, stewed fish maw, kebabs etc., all the foods were cold. We waited for 45 minutes for our first order to partially arrive at our table, and about half of the items we ordered never even arrived (we received 10 out of 15 items). We were able to order the second time, but we only received 3 items (out of 15). They gave us the bill and told us our time was up when there was clearly 30 minutes left. What a SCAM!

Octavium Italian Restaurant is a bright and attractive dining spot in Hong Kong, recently awarded two Michelin stars. Chef Umberto Bombana's personal project ensures top-notch cuisine and service. The menu features homemade pastas like the must-try linguine with red prawn, along with artichoke salad, blue lobster, and M5 beef sirloin. With a regularly changing menu to showcase seasonal ingredients, diners can always expect something new from the evolving culinary team.
Another fantastic experience at Octavium trying out her new menu at lunch time today. The Grilled Octopus main course was simply out of this world!! The complimentary risotto course...WOW!! All the others are fantastic, just a couple of suggestions for the starters. MY friend ordered the Beef Tongue as starter with which I had warned him it might too too heavy to start, and indeed he found it a bit too rich, especially the sauce. My Amberjack was great, except I prefer it to be more on the raw side, off course with thinner slices then. Overall, ever-improving Chef Giuseppe deserves more than 2 Michelin stars!!! The price below includes 4 glasses of wine.
Benny K — Google review
The worst 2 star Michelin restaurant I have ever been! How can this restaurant deserve 2 star?! That's ridiculous!!! Service was extremely bad, I'm here to enjoy fine dining but the waiter kept serving the food so fast when I have not even finish the bread serving. I had to tell them to slow down the pace of serving as I have not finish my food. And guess what? They took 15 min to serve my other remaining dishes. Come on, even a normal restaurant would know how to pace their food service!!! Speechless! When I gave feedback nicely to the waiter, he showed attitude towards our table. Food was, in 1 word, disgusting. Every dish was either overpowering, or the presentation of the food was BAD. The Smoked Amberjack dish was so sour I couldn't even enjoy the food at all, there was too much lemon zest. The homemade pasta was too overpowering I couldn't even enjoy what I was eating. Also, the starters presentation was BAD, how can a bunch of leaves on top of the tart be considered a presentation? Their petit fours for desserts ain't even petit FOURS, more like petit TWOs. We were only served 2 types. Overall, don't waste your money coming here, I left being hungry and wanted to order takeaway. Even takeaway street food is much more worth than this.

The wine pairing is exceptional, thoughtfully curated to enhance each course 🍷. The staff are both friendly and attentive, and the good vibes throughout the restaurant make the whole experience feel extra special 😊. The standout dish for me was the Murray cod fish 🐟 perfectly cooked, delicate, and bursting with flavor. It’s a must-try! Absolutely loved the blue lobster with har gau and caviar and the red prawn pasta…. They were the stars of the meal for us. The steak was beautifully cooked too. Dessert was tasty. Surprised to find out it is 2 stars. Food was just ok, no wow impact. Some were very under seasoned. Mostly served in luke warm temperatures. Annoying music, funny bleach smell and very cold air cond (after I complained about the bleach smell) ! Later part of the dinner just went so wrong because of how cold they suddenly then adjusted the room Temp.

I wouldn’t say this is the worst but there are better options. Long wait for food, weird amount every time.I ordered 1 shrimp at that start which I received 1 which is fair.I order 3 shrimps afterwards and i received 9.Food we didn’t order somehow appeared that we have to eat because “apparently” we have ordered. The waiter gave us attitude when she spent 5 business days to take 1 empty plate away after moving pass us multiple times and somehow be mad at us for kindly asking her to take away some of our 8 plates and 2 bowls.Being mad at us for asking her to do her job is insane. Aside from food not been delivered or random food being delivered.Food options are limited and they don’t taste as expected.I wouldn’t recommend anyone unless you want to be treated badly for standing up for yourself

a wide selection of sushi and sashimi! was lucky to get the salmon belly when we ordered the salmon sashimi and it was rich and fatty! the hand rolls were miniature but it's perfect so you can get to try all of them without getting full. the grilled meat skewers and cooked seafood was flavourful. Tempura restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
TENKAI is a renowned tempura restaurant known for using seasonal ingredients flown in daily from Japan. Led by master chef Nagasawa, the kitchen creates unique tempura experiences. The restaurant offers a variety of salts to accompany the dishes, with recommendations provided by the chef. Reservations are necessary for dinner, while lunch is walk-in only due to limited seating and food availability. It's advised to order the tempura set instead of the tempura don to maintain optimal crispiness.
This was my first visit to this tempura restaurant. I went during lunch hours, it’s walk-in only. Reservations available for dinner. I ordered the Tenkai Tendon set with wasabi. It was delicious! The tempura was freshly-cooked, deep fried at the open kitchen. The tempura was very light, not oily or greasy. The meal was very enjoyable. The service was excellent too!

Overall is a decent experience. 10 diners would be served at the same time at counter table. Which is quite intimate experience. However, Be aware, you must be seated at or before 6:30/8:15pm (the dinner slot) as They would start serving at one go. Chef served us the freshly made tempura one by one and waiter would give us a little intro. We had the weekend dinner menu which is $1000 per head. My favorite dish is the Japanese mushroom. So moist and so crispy. Love it. If you wanna give it a go, maybe could try the weekday menu first because it is super good deal. I do like Tenkai, but it is a bit rigid dinning experience.
Jayla F — Google review
Great tempura with good value. Had a lunch set, seafood tempura don, that cost $300. Love the sardine tempura -鱚 the most (crispy coating with soft meat). The staff is friendly and the place is clean. The room is filled with the sesame aroma, probably too strong for people with sensitive noses.
David W — Google review
Fantastic tempura place! You need to book for dinner but lunch is walk-in only and seats plus food are limited! I made a mistake and ordered the tempura don (still really crsipy, tasty and flavorful) but I should have ordered the tempura set. That way the food won't get soggy too quick since fresh tempura's quality drops quite quickly. Lesson learnt for next time!
Terence Y — Google review
Great tempura quality. The way Tenkai operates with one person serving front of house and then one person working the kitchen makes me feel like I am in a small family run restaurant operation in small town of Japan. The menu was relatively simple, and immediately after we made our order we got our appetizers and we saw the chef start to make our tempura. Food quality was very good, seafood tempura don was the highlight and the sauce was not overpowering. It was all lightly battered and fried, with the food all staying crisp for quite a long time. Would recommend and come back, assuming the line is not too long. There is usually a line here.

Very nice tempura restaurant, ingredients are fresh and prepared at high standard. Staff are friendly and attentive. This is a small restaurant with only 10 counter seats, reservation is a must for dinner appointment; however lunch time is on first-come-first-serve basis, no booking is accepted, so better come early.

I know it’s a bargain to have an ‘omakase’ dinner at $500 per head. But this experience wasn’t up to par as an omakase dinner. I haven’t had an tempura omakase without a shrimp head before this, which chefs usually serve the heads to show that the shrimp is freshly prepared. My friend’s shrimp even had the vein not completely removed. The squid was thin and without any fresh taste. And the whole meal was a bit of a rush and ended within an hour. The vegetables and tempura don were good. I understand the food quality might be adjusted due to the low price range and the rush might be affected by the recent COVID arrangement. But too much has been sacrificed and customer experience has not been taken care of. Overall an omakase experience was not delivered. Might be good enough if I was just going for a tempura don.
Law L — Google review
Everything was well prepared and the service was good. The only thing I would have liked is if the floor was a bit cleaner. My wife stepped on something slippery under her side of the table and I had to wipe it up. This was even before the meal was prepared for us so it was left their since lunch service we assume. The food? Very good

Nestled in the heart of the culinary scene, Nagamoto is a captivating kappo-style restaurant helmed by veteran chef Teruhiko Nagamoto. This dining gem embraces the Japanese philosophy of shun, which celebrates peak freshness and seasonal ingredients. Each dish on the menu reflects Japan's four distinct seasons, showcasing an array of vibrant produce at their prime.
一期一会 I'm going to borrow this Japanese term to describe my absolutely terrific, one-of-a-kind kaiseki experience I had here. Chef Nagamoto and his team didn't just offer food service - they offered an unforgettable cultural experience, symbolised by delicious dishes that were prepared and presented with unparalleled elegance I had not seen elsewhere, and elevated by the quintessential Japanese hospitality that would always accompany me whenever I look back on this memory. Shoutout to Umesh and Rowena and their top-notch banter skills! Their passion for Japanese cuisine was evident when they carefully explained to me the meaning behind each dishes. In addition, chef Nagamoto was superbly able to accommodate my gluten intolerance without compromising the quality of his craft. As for the food itself, I don't think I can ever express with words how out of this world it was. I hope my photos can do it justice (somehow). And what a joy it was to watch chef Nagamoto in action! At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I still want to emphasise that everything inside the restaurant is truly crafted with exceptional attention to details. Every dishes, every gestures, every conversation I had with the staff members - together they gave me a profound sense of being so well-looked after. And that's the best feeling one can get as a guest.

Quirky, friendly staff make this kaiseki experience an enjoyable time replete with delicate, well crafted seasonal tastes. Comparatively spacious seating but it is one of those places that starts everyone's courses at once.

Authentic kyoto cuisine and chef cooking in front of you instead of staying in the kitchen. Nice interaction with staffs during dishes introduction. Taste great, can visit again.

visited the restaurant before and was impressed by its environment. However, I couldn't help but wonder why they only offer dinner instead of lunch. It seems like they might be missing out on potential customers. Btw the staff nicole was a bit loud when introducing the dishes

Very elegant Japanese cuisine. The Chef best present SHUN cuisine using the most fresh seasonal ingredients. くじょうねぎ and かつおぶしare the two most favourite ingredients within.

Japanese restaurant
Located in the newly renovated Regent Hong Kong, NOBU Hong Kong offers stunning views of Victoria Harbour and a tastefully designed interior. The restaurant is famous for its unique blend of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, with celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa's distinctive style evident in signature dishes like black cod with miso, rock shrimp tempura, and yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno and yuzu ponzu sauce.
Nobu offers an exquisite dining experience that is nothing short of spectacular! The presentation of each dish is a work of art, showcasing the beauty of the ingredients. Every bite bursts with flavor, perfectly blending traditional Japanese techniques with innovative culinary flair. It's truly fine dining at its best, where each course not only delights the palate but also pleases the eyes. A memorable experience that showcases the artistry of food!

It was a birthday dinner gathering. Picked its 4 courses tasting menu for hkd688 per head + 10% service charge. Selected a sashimi appetizer, a bowl of salad, a set of nigiri (sushi), soba and deep fried vegetables and dessert. The soba and the deep fried vegetables were normal. Nothing special. The dessert was a bento box with chocolate heart tart and green tea ice cream. Nothing special. Also ordered Black Cod saikyo yaki as a side dish. Saikyo yaki was good but a bit salty to me without a bowl of rice. The black cod itself was not very fresh. The sashimi appetizer consists of 3 little plates and each plate got 2 small slices of sashimi. Taste was reasonable but not impressive. The salad was average. The sushi set was extremely ordinary. Those sushi benton from Donki might be better some time. The worst part was to add hkd200 to upgrade the sushi set to premium. Only the shrimp sushi was impressive. Even the sea urchin sushi was pretty average. The atmosphere of this restaurant is stunning. Facing the night view of the Victoria habour to dine is absolutely remarkable. The service stands high. The waitress and waiter were helpful and responsive. It could be a bit noisy if other customers had a party there too as it only got an open dining area.

if you're looking for modern japanese (or japanese fusion) but tired of having traditional omakase, i think this is the place. they do very good fusion of food mix and match. with special sauces and seasoning to give some excitement to the dishes. if you've limited space (in your tummy) then i'd recommend to try more small plates (starter size) than the main. much surprises we found there like different kind of sashimi and salads. great to go with the cocktails. the hot dish wasn't bad but not as surprising as the small plates. there are some tables along the glass window which allowed you to look at the nice harbour view at night. but subject to availability upon arrival. more travel ideas, photos & videos👇🏾 follow me on ig: food.n.cats.not1less

The food was absolutely delightful! We especially loved the crispy rice cube with spicy tuna—it was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, making us want to order it again! The Umami Chilean Sea Bass was tasty too, though we found the Chinese translation a bit puzzling since it mentioned vegetables, but we couldn't find any on the plate. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. When we had a little mix-up with our order, one of the managers kindly offered for us to try the dish first, and if it was too spicy, he would happily swap it out for us. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness; I just wish I had caught his name to give him a shout-out! We were seated at a table in the second row, but we had a perfect view of the lovely harbor. Everything was just wonderful—great food, amazing vibes, and fantastic service. This was my second visit, and I'm already looking forward to coming back!

🌟 Delicious Nobu Experience in a Great Atmosphere! 🍣 I've had the pleasure of dining at many Nobu restaurants before, and as always, the food was quite delicious. Nobu's signature dishes, such as the Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Jalapeño, met expectations and left a memorable taste. The freshness of the ingredients and the elegance of the presentation were top-notch. However, to be honest, within Nobu's "New-Style Japanese" concept, which is their modern take on Japanese cuisine, this was not the best Tradito (traditional sushi/sashimi) I've ever had. For those strictly seeking authentic, traditional sushi, other places might be more satisfying. On the bright side, the atmosphere was fantastic. The venue's design is sophisticated; the dim lighting and elegant decor create a perfect setting for a special dinner. The service was extremely attentive and professional, living up to the Nobu standard.

Sushi restaurant
Sushi Rin is a beloved sushi haven that has been delighting patrons for years, with a new branch in Tsim Sha Tsui. This cozy spot boasts just 10 seats, often filled to capacity even on weekdays, which speaks volumes about its popularity. Diners can indulge in an exquisite 11-piece sushi set during the evenings, choosing between their own selections or trusting the chef's expertise. The atmosphere is calm and serene, making every meal a relaxing experience.
Very nice omakase experience at Sushi Rin. The sashimi are fresh and most of their ingredients come from Hokkaido, their sea urchin is a must try item (included in the omakase set). The restaurant is offering a 40% off discount now, worth a try.

Quality of the fish was average, nothing special. Some of the pieces of fish was too wet of water Other pieces were too chewy And some of the fish was sliced too thick The tuna handroll, the seaweed wasn’t crispy and was soft and soggy One good point is they have 20% off some of their omakase options Was a bit disappointed with the overall meal

I can only speak to my own experience, of course, but my “gin dara misozuke” lunch set was superb and reasonably priced, as was the chirashi set my wife ordered. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was calm, serene and relaxing making our experience an enjoyable one.

Autumn is a time to enjoy Saury sashimi. Super yummy and fatty fish that is seasonal in sashimi. We went to Sushi Rin to taste the set as there is promotion now. So fresh and fatty and rich in taste. And the set is so full. Love it soooooo much.

I returned for their anniversary promotion! The 14-piece sushi set offers great value. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and fatty, flown in from Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Okinawa. Each fish had unique seasonings, like yuzu pepper and miso sauce. Nice try!
Bear F — Google review
This sushi restaurant has been operating for many years, and they even opened a branch in Tsim Sha Tsui. It stands strong and resilient, with all 10 seats occupied during weekdays. After finishing my meal, I noticed people waiting at the entrance, which explains why they have such a thriving business. They offer an 11-piece sushi set in the evenings, where you can either choose your own sushi or leave it to the chef's selection. The original price is $488, but currently, there's an 20% discount. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the chef's seasoning is just right. It's truly a great deal, which is why many people come to dine here.

2/5 Conclusion, overpriced for the quality, when I tried similar price but much better food at lots more restaurants. Steam eggs are very silky smooth, bonito and shimaji was the better ones. Uni was bad, like almost wanna spit out.

Updated and reduced to 2 stars because of a very unacceptable and rediculous booking experience. I've confirmed a booking with them more than a month ahead and during those times we discussed the menu and wine, and we were thinking of private party, so there is no way that they forgot about our booking. I've told them that my friends had to request for the holiday as they work shifts. More than 2 weeks later, they told me that they had made a mistake and they can't host us on that date. They can have 6 guests in that area and we already had 5, that's why we're talking about a private party. I'm very disappointed at such service. First time experience: Finally decided to reserve a table here after quite some research. Arrived at 1600 with very pleasant welcome. Took 2.5 hours for the whole omakase, 2 bottles of 720ml, plus 2 extra order. The food is a bit adapted to local flavour which is easy to understand, plus a very welcome and joyful ambience (may not be good for everyone especially those love the chill and calm ambience in Japan). So lucky to have a chance to taste the just arrived milt which was fresh and creamy. Worth trying if someone loves local culture with some nice Japanese food.

ZEST by Konishi is a vibrant dining destination that beautifully blends French and Japanese culinary traditions. With its bright ambiance, it offers a relaxed setting for business lunches or casual gatherings. The menu features enticing two-course and three-course lunch options, allowing diners to indulge in delightful appetizers like poireaux vinaigrette with ajitama and smoked sardine, alongside Yunnan porcini and saffron bolete.
We came here on a Saturday for lunch, Zest exceeded our expectations. Unlike some Michelin restaurants where the star chef would be absent, it was promising to see Konishi in the kitchen in the zone preparing. We found the chicken very impressive, it was succulent, juicy and full of flavour, deliciously paired with the Chinese yellow wine foam like sauce. The pork belly was also a highlight. The brioche was lovely, paired with the butter emulsion, the layers of brioche melted in our mouths. It was nice to be greeted by Konishi at the end of the meal. Staff were attentive. We will definitely come back again to try the Michelin recommended Ping Yuan Chicken!

This Michelin one-star restaurant offers a limited menu with only one starter and one main course, which is quite costly considering the abundance of choices available in Hong Kong. The food, on average. However, the standout was the crispy and tender pork loin in the main course. Overall, it's not a must-visit place. We ordered 2 one course meal and 2 buy 1 get 1 free wine. Total: $2000 (lunch)
S. L — Google review
Took the Menu Zest. Overall the food was very good. Lived up to the reviews you read online. Special mention to the Lobster, Seabass and Chicken. The madeleine was dry. Service - was average for a restaurant of that caliber. While super nice and attentive, they missed the timing of the pairing of the wine and unfortunately the English explanation of the dishes was not as detailed as when they explained it in Cantonese. Which is a shame, because some of the food items really deserved a more detailed explanation. The open kitchen concept is nice. Overall compared to other similar level restaurants- price vs quality is very good. Would recommend the place.
Karim G — Google review
We had their prix fixe on a weekend. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant as it overlooked the city. You can choose between a one appetizer and main or two appetizer and main prix fixe. Everything was cooked to perfection. We loved the bread that was included alongside the olive oil butter. All 3 mains - pork belly, braised beef (absolutely melt in your mouth) and the fish were amazing. If you’re going with multiple people we would recommend trying as many appetizers/mains as possible as there wasn’t a dish we wouldn’t recommend. If you have a special occasion let them know before and they will give you a dessert surprise.
Timothy C — Google review
Food was good, service was average since you would need to reach out and ask for followup on bread. It’s not expected with a Michelins-one-star restaurant. We did have some expectation on this. It would also be good to interact with the Executive Chef if possible. The interior was great but the eminence was average. It was far tooo quiet.

Had a nice birthday lunch here with the help from friendly staff. Dining space is spacious with nice view. Love the combination of white asparagus with Iberico ham, as well as the blast of oceanic flavours from scallops, Hokkaido sea urchin & wasabi dashi. Had wagyu and lobsters as the mains. Personally I love the appetisers more with greater depth of flavours & plating as compared with the mains.

We really enjoyed birthday lunch. It was a very special occasion. Each dish was so tasty and especially Chef’s special roast chicken was fantastic.
Hiro O — Google review
Quite the disappointment. They changed their menu to be more expensive with less dishes, with 580 for just one appetizer and entree. With the extras paid about 1400 for two people. We came for the beef but it was only 12:40, and already sold out?! The amuse bouche was way to sour. And the Madeline cake tasted like pig oil. Not worth the price. Also they only accept physical cards or cash, so it was extremely awkward for my client as I only had my phone with me. Thank you to the staff that helped me pay, and I had to transfer him via HSBC. But still horrifying experience.

Fireside is a refined yet rustic restaurant that prides itself on open-fire cooking, featuring an exclusive Mibrasa parilla grill and tailor-made brick oven. Executive Chef Miguel Gallo, known for his elBulli background, showcases a unique style of cooking that allows the ingredients to shine. The menu offers signature dishes such as sizzling confit duck with fire-cooked rice and Hokkaido hokkigai basted in aged Mangalica pork fat.
There’s a reason that this steak house is ranked among the best. The chef is extremely knowledgeable about the products and cooking procedures. It’s rare to find a place in Hong Kong that has enough of a vibe whilst still remaining private enough for you and your other guest to be able to catch up properly. Fireside is my go to lunch spot with my dad, there’s always something new to try and everything always tastes as good, or if not better than the last. We both appreciate the warm hospitality from the whole team, every time we go, we feel so welcome. For value for money, their lunch set and brunch on weekends is unbeatable with quality, price and portion size. It comes with the best bread and smoke butter in Hong Kong too. 🤤 I can’t wait to go back again and also with a large group for dinner!

This place is super cozy, and the chef’s passion is legit—you can tell he loves what he does. Food wise the Carabinero head butter was the star; dip it with bread, and you’re in heaven. Seriously, don’t skip it. We were pumped for the steak, they give you a selection to choose and pick from with te waiters they would ask what your preference is. We asked for a dry-aged, funkier taste, but after it was cooked it came out a bit underwhelming, lacking either the funkiness we were looking for from, as well as the steak itself was very mild tasting. Bit of a bummer but the steak was cooked perfectly. This place is great for a cosy chilled dinner however as the restaurant is an open area for better ventilation, it gets a bit warm not ideal in summer. Also, the knives were dull, which made cutting the steak a bit difficult.

Fireside, one of the best steakhouses in town, offers an exceptional dining experience that thoughtfully combines ingredient-driven cooking with refined execution. Particularly impressed by the dry-aged Ma Yao fish, which was beautifully prepared - delicately crisp on the outside with a deep, clean umami flavor that lingered. Equally memorable was the 45+ days aged Simmental steak (from Germany and less-commonly seen in HK restaurants), served medium-rare. The beef was rich, complex, and remarkably tender, showcasing the depth that aging can bring to well-sourced meat. The atmosphere strikes an ideal balance between warmth and sophistication, with an open-fire kitchen that adds both character and a sense of connection to the cooking process. Service throughout the evening was attentive, knowledgeable, and gracious without being intrusive - enhancing the overall experience.

Not only is the meat incredible, but so is everything else - including the service. This is one of those restaurants where passion is the driving force in every aspect. The entres, the deserts, and of course the steak...all thoughtful, exciting, and absolutely delicious. 10/10 this is gonna be a regular. PS the potatos were an 11/10

Fireside This restaurant is quite compact, served with a bar table, the atmosphere is quite good. The brunch is around $498. The grilled padron peppers are really tasty! The sauce is rich in taste and the grilled peppers got some natural sweetness, nice! Baby carrots is so delicious! It is roasted and served with cream yoghurt and ras el hanout seeds. It is so creamy and soft, with intense carrot flavor, yummy! The homemade coffee cured Wagyu is nice. Thin slice of Wagyu got a hint of coffee taste, rather special. Skewers is so juicy! The meat is soft and tender, with nice charcoal grilled flavor. The main is yellow grilled chicken , it is really good! The chicken comes with rich chicken flavor, the meat is tender and juicy, and the sauce is garlic mascarpone sauce which makes it rather special. The Argentina rib eye is ok, the meat is not soft as I think it should be, it is meaty with tough texture, but the taste of beef flavor is rich. Dessert is lemon sorbet, it is very lemony and cool, very refreshing. This brunch is pretty enjoyable, thank you.

I stayed at Island Shangri La for 15 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Shangri La is located at Admiralty, which is the central hub of MTR. Every employee at he hotel did their best to deliver excellent and friendly service to me. I apologize for not remember everyone's name but here are a few examples: Umi at Cafe Too always kept my table clean at breakfast and brewed the best coffee to start my day. Miu would come around with the cart and recommend the freshly steamed dim sum with a brilliant smile. Leo at the egg station would put in my order of 3 over & easy eggs when he saw me approaching. Teresa in the gym kept all the equipment spotless. Mackey in the men's change room made sure that I had clean towel for sauna and a glass of cold water when I came out. Winnie (music team manager) at the Lobby Lounge enthusiastically explained how she put together the team, types of music they play, etc. Melanie at the front desk checked me out, explained the charges and even walked me out to the front door before saying goodbye. There is no shortage of 5-star hotels in Hong Kong and Shangri La is definitely one of the best when it comes to service. I will stay at the Shangri La if and when I visit HK again. Thank you for everyone's excellent services that made my stay so enjoyable.

An incredible stay for a family! We had such an amazing experience and can’t wait to come back. 1/ Family floor experience We booked a Garden Lodge family-themed room on the 45th floor (the dedicated family floor) and were blown away by how much thought went into every detail — from the beautifully designed rooms and kid-friendly decor to all the family-focused amenities. Everything parents could possibly need was there: baby gear to borrow, self-serve laundry, dishwashing supplies, premium baby-safe detergent and soap, sterilizers, a playroom, daily workshops, and grab-and-go snacks and drinks available all day. Access to the floor was limited to guests staying there, which made it feel private and secure. Having previously avoided travelling with my baby when she was younger, I was blown away by the extensive amenities offered here and would not hesitate to come back with a younger child knowing that so much is taken care of and is unnecessary to pack. We also loved the little premium touches, including: the hydrotap for boiling and cold water, fridge with freezer, well-designed open closet with plenty of storage, smart bedside controls for lights and curtains, Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom, rounded furniture with no sharp corners, and of course the fun slide in the room. The main downside of the room was the size: parking a stroller blocked the walkway, there was no desk/chair, and they were unable to provide a crib as a result. There is a themed child bed in the room, but it only had a partial bed guard. We were a bit nervous since she’s usually in a crib and we worried she would try to climb out or even fall out while sleeping, but she ended up being fine - even though during the day, she loved climbing in and out on her own. Other things that could be improved were the food options for people with dietary restrictions (most dishes contained dairy even though substitutes felt readily accessible, such as all the pastas, smoothies, and chia pudding) and the age accessibility of the workshops (which were mostly for older kids rather than toddlers). We stayed during Halloween, and the decorations, themed activities, and events made it extra special. The staff told us they also go all out for Easter, Christmas, and Lunar New Year. A huge thank you to Joy and Ella for being so kind and making our toddler’s stay unforgettable; she remembered their names and gave them hugs when we left! 2/ Other rooms Since we were a group of 4 (3 adults and 1 child) and the family room only accommodates 3, we also booked a Deluxe Peak View Room (unrenovated). It was much more spacious, but definitely felt dated compared to the newer family floor. Renovated standard rooms were available for a higher rate. Both rooms had universal outlets and USB ports, which was handy. 3/ Location The hotel’s location was very convenient, connected to Pacific Place and a short indoor walk to Admiralty MTR. Taxis were readily available in front as well. The views were incredible given that most rooms are located on higher floors of the building (40+). 4/ Dining We tried several hotel restaurants: Nadaman for lunch and dinner, Petrus for breakfast and lunch, Café TOO for the buffet breakfast, and Lobster Bar for drinks. Petrus (1 Michelin star) really stood out — fantastic service and food. Nadaman was good but pricey; the teppanyaki felt authentic, focused on quality rather than show. Café TOO had a great spread with Western and Asian options (Chinese, Indian, Japanese, etc.) and was well above a typical hotel buffet, though not as elevated as Petrus. Our family room included breakfast at Café TOO, while the other room (booked through Amex FHR) came with breakfast at either Café TOO or Petrus. Overall This hotel sets a new standard for a family-friendly luxury stay. The attention to detail, thoughtful design, and genuinely caring staff made traveling with a toddler feel easy and enjoyable. The room was small and food options could be more inclusive, but those were minor compared to how comfortable, convenient, and special the stay felt.
Steph C — Google review
We stayed in one of the renovated rooms. The room was quite spacious, clean, and well-maintained. There are three negative things I can say about it: first, it smelled damp and was extremely cold — we were constantly battling with the air conditioning. Also, unfortunately, the room had a bad view. Apart from that, the hotel itself is large and comfortable, and the staff are attentive. It’s very close to the metro and right next to the nicest park. Unfortunately, we didn’t like the buffet breakfast. Empty dishes were not refilled, and there were very few options apart from Asian cuisine. Other than that, it’s a nice hotel, and I would consider staying there again.

Fantastic hotel!! 9,5/10 overall. I spent 4 nights here w/ my brother and had an amazing time 🤩 The staff are very polite and courteous - especially Sam at reception and Umi in the breakfast area. I’d recommend this hotel to all my family & friends visiting HK 🇨🇳🇭🇰 It’s also beautifully located next to a luxury mall 🎁

We stayed here for two nights and it was fabulous. Had two rooms, one Peak View, one Harbour View, both large, well equipped, great views from both rooms. The team however, really made the difference. A big thank you to Vivian and everyone at Island Shangri-La! We’ll be back

Great stay at Hong Kong Island ShangriLa, our experience from the moment we arrived to or departure was absolutely fantastic. The staff are top notch and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities are also fantastic. We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary and the staff made our stay a celebration we will always remember.

ARGO, located at Four Seasons Hong Kong, has been recognized as the No.8 bar on Asia's 50 Best Bars list. The bar is led by beverage manager Federico Balzarini and head bartender Yvonne Chan, offering a unique cocktail menu called Here Today, Gone Tomorrow. This menu features six key ingredients such as coffee honey, rice, cacao, vanilla and apple which inspire traditional and reinvented cocktails.
ARGO is easily my favorite bar in Hong Kong. The atmosphere is beautiful and luxurious, and the bartenders are incredibly attentive, engaging in small talk and offering great drink recommendations. While the cocktails are unique and good, they’re not the absolute best in HK—but the vibe and service make up for it. Even with the high prices, I’d recommend it for anyone looking for a luxury cocktail experience.

The food and drinks at this place are fantastic, and the atmosphere is super cool. The mirrored room is really fancy, and the service is great too. I highly recommend this place! However, if you’re not a hotel guest, you might want to reserve a table in advance to avoid any unnecessary waiting. Overall, it’s a great place to hang out and relax.

Located inside the Four Seasons, the bar aims for luxury but leans a bit flashy in style. The back bar isn’t the most exciting, but the bartenders more than make up for it - knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about their spirits. Drinks were consistently well made, with a focus on spirit-forward profiles. Even the more creative requests were met with thoughtful execution and balance. Overall a solid experience with generous service and good energy - worth a stop if you’re nearby.

It’s the place that I always go for Argo Martini. I love to sit at the bar so I get to talk to the bartenders. They are nice and fun that make the time spent at the bar pass so quick. Drinks are nice. Good to start the night at this bar after heavy shopping at IFC mall.
Samita D — Google review
Definitely worth the hype! Every cocktail was absolutely top-notch — you can really taste the balance, technique, and creativity in each drink. I’ve visited almost half of Asia’s Top 50 Bars, and in my opinion, Argo easily deserves a spot in the top 5. The bar bites were excellent, especially the BBQ chicken-flavored popcorn 🤌🏻 — such a unique and addictive snack. A big thanks to Angelo for making our night truly memorable with his warm and attentive service. The atmosphere was incredibly comfortable — even though the place was full, it never felt too loud or crowded. Compared to spots like COA or Penicillin, the vibe here was much more relaxed and easy to enjoy. The music selection was also just right — great choice of tracks, at a perfect volume to complement the night rather than overpower it. And of course, the interior design and bar counter layout are marvelous — sophisticated yet inviting, every detail feels carefully thought out. Honestly, I loved everything about this place. Argo is a must-visit for anyone looking for a refined yet comfortable cocktail experience in Hong Kong.

We ate here for the lunch buffet, and I must say the food was quite disappointing. The staff were great; well trained and attentive, and the atmosphere was beautiful and comfortable as well, but the food quality was definitely lacking. The sirloin was the biggest disappointment, as it was overcooked, bland, and dry. However, the huge variety of well made desserts redeemed the other food items.
FT — Google review
The buffet lunch offers a wide selection of Asian and Western cuisine to choose from. As you walk past the dozens of dishes you will notice that each one is well presented, and all made with fresh ingredients. Everything we had on our plates were delicious, especially their smoked salmon. Desserts were all very cute to look at and tasted amazing. Service here was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. The interior design of the restaurant is gorgeous as well.

Probably 1 of the best looking bars that been to so far. I seriously needed to make this visit after they were voted 34 in the world’s best bars. The service and the cocktails together with the complimentary bar snacks were all fantastic. Value is quite good too, considering that this is within the four seasons hotel, well worth the experience and I would do it again.

Teppanyaki Mihara Goten is a Japanese fusion restaurant in Tseung Kwan O, led by Chef Terufumi Mihara. The menu features Japanese classics with a modern twist, such as steamed fish in a crust of salt and egg white, and Green Tea Brule.
The value of the experience far exceeds the price, making every cent spent a worthy investment in gastronomic delight. The chef, a maestro of flavors and aesthetics, crafts each dish with a level of skill that is nothing short of remarkable. It’s a pleasure to witness such culinary artistry where taste and presentation converge seamlessly, offering a feast for both the palate and the eyes. 🥗 Starter: Japanese-style salad with mango dressing — sweet, tangy, and super refreshing! 🍳 Chawanmushi loaded with crab meat and roe, super silky and flavorful! 🐚 Hokkaido scallops steal the show! Golden corn silk wraps the thick scallops perfectly, with crunchy bitter melon underneath. Add tartar sauce and salmon roe for an explosion of textures and flavors! 🐟 Black cod cooked just right — crispy skin, tender flesh, with seaweed butter sauce and eggplant taking it to the next level. 🥩 Main: A4 Miyazaki Wagyu thin slices Perfect marbling, dipped in egg yolk for extra richness — classic sukiyaki vibes! 🍚 Garlic fried rice is fragrant and fluffy, not greasy at all. 🍨 Finished off with homemade salted caramel gelato, creamy and just sweet enough — total perfection! At $480, this high-quality teppanyaki is a steal, especially the seafood dishes.

I ordered a $480 A4 wagyu teppanyaki lunch set. 🥗 日式沙律 Japanese Salad The dressing is perfectly balanced, with a delightful sweet and sour flavor that is incredibly appetizing. 🥚 蟹肉茶碗蒸 Savory Egg Custard The dish is packed with ingredients, including shiitake mushrooms, salmon roe, and crab meat, providing a delicious experience with every bite. 🦪 北海道帶子配奈良縣他他汁 Scallop Cutlet with Narazuke Tartar and Ikura The Hokkaido scallop is one of the signature dishes of this restaurant. It is coated in cornmeal and fried, adding a crispy texture, and the salmon roe on top enhances the overall flavor and mouthfeel. The bed of pickled cucumbers provides a refreshing contrast. 🐟 香煎銀鱈魚 Pan-Fried Black Cod The black cod is paired with a miso-based sauce. The chef has cooked the fish skin and flesh separately, resulting in a crispy skin and a delightful combination with the eggplant. 🥩 A4宮崎和牛薄燒 A4 Miyazaki Wagyu Sukiyaki Beef Roll The A4-grade Miyazaki wagyu beef is paired with sukiyaki sauce, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, tofu, and spinach. The tender beef and the savory ingredients perfectly blend together, and when enjoyed with the egg yolk, it creates a unique and delightful flavor. 🧄 大蒜炒飯 Garlic Rice The garlic rice is made with seared wagyu beef as the base, and the wagyu juices have permeated each grain of rice, resulting in a superb texture and flavor. 🥣 味噌湯 & 漬物 Red Miso Soup & Japanese Pickles The miso soup is made with high-quality miso and features fresh tofu and seaweed. The pickled vegetables are sour and refreshing, and they complement the miso soup beautifully when enjoyed together. 🍨 自家製雲呢拿雪糕 Homemade Gelato The restaurant's homemade vanilla gelato is made with a special addition of fragrant vanilla beans, making it incredibly delicious.

This restaurant aims to redefine the teppanyaki dining experience by blending the traditional Kappo-style of seasonal, ingredient-focused cuisine with the theatrical performance of teppanyaki cooking. The culinary team uses only the freshest, highest-quality seasonal ingredients sourced locally and from around the world, showcasing their mastery of Japanese cooking techniques to create innovative and flavor-packed dishes. The interior design seamlessly combines classic Japanese aesthetic elements with a modern, sophisticated flair. The grand, elegant dining room features warm wood accents, sleek clean lines, and subtle nods to traditional Japanese design, creating an atmosphere of refined luxury. The centerpiece is the open teppanyaki grill, where diners are treated to a masterful culinary display as the chefs skillfully prepare each course right before their eyes. The overall experience is designed to immerse guests in a harmonious fusion of traditional Japanese hospitality and cutting-edge culinary creativity. The meal at this acclaimed Japanese restaurant was a sublime journey through the flavors of the sea. It began with a delicate Red Sea Bream Carpaccio, the paper-thin slices of fish dressed in a vibrant green onion sauce that danced on the palate. The cool, refreshing flavors were a perfect lead-in to the Savory Egg Custard that followed - a rich, velvety smooth masterpiece that melted in the mouth. Next came the Sautéed Razor Clams, the briny mollusks dressed in a umami-packed clam and seaweed sauce that complemented their natural sweetness. It was a true celebration of the ocean's bounty. The Grilled Grunt Fish that arrived thereafter was no less impressive, the delicate white flesh infused with the aroma of white wine sauce. The high point of the meal was undoubtedly the Grilled Boston Lobster, served alongside pillowy-soft French toast. The sweet, juicy meat of the lobster was a revelatory pairing with the lightly crisp toast - two contrasting textures that combined into sheer bliss with each bite. The Olive-Fed A4 Wagyu Beef Sirloin was a masterful display of marbling and tenderness, the thick-cut slice seared to perfection and melting on the tongue. As if that wasn't enough, the meal concluded with the refreshing Chilled Sanuki Udon, the springy noodles enlivened by the bright, citrusy notes of sudachi. And the final flourish? A divine Wasanbon Mousse, its delicate sweetness perfectly balanced by the earthy richness of black sesame sauce. It was a spectacular end to an exceptional dining experience that showcased the precision and artistry of Japanese cuisine at its finest.

When searching for a Teppanaki restaurant to celebrate my sister's and niece's birthdays, I was drawn to the enticing menu and positive reviews. Initially, I had booked three restaurants due to my uncertain schedule. However, Teppanyaki Mihara Goten stood out by promptly responding and expressing interest in our birthday celebration. Impressed by their proactive approach, I canceled the other reservations, hoping to provide the best experience for my family. It turned out to be a wise and gratifying decision. Upon arrival, we were charmed by the intimate setting, with only 12 seats in the Teppanaki room, offering a cozy and private environment. Opting for the lunch set, I relished the fresh salad with spot-on homemade dressing and the velvety texture of the egg custard. The pan-seared scallops wrapped in crispy noodles and perfectly cooked sea bass set a high standard for the forthcoming dishes. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the teppanyaki seafood. Both the lobster and abalone were divine, beautifully presented, and tantalizing to the palate. I sampled some from my family's plates, and both dishes were exceptional, complemented by their exquisite sauces. Following the seafood courses, another highlight awaited us – the wagyu beef. Served simply with sea salt and crispy garlic chips, it surpassed my expectations, leaving a lingering, delightful aftertaste. The birthday celebration surpassed all expectations. As we finished our meal, the lights dimmed, and the chef emerged with a dessert plate, singing the birthday song. It was a joyous moment, creating cherished memories for my sister and niece. In addition to their exceptional culinary offerings, the team's expertise in celebration planning was commendable. I am truly grateful for their efforts, and we had an absolutely wonderful time there.

Love the waiters to introduce each dish. They talk about every detail of dish preparation, which is very impressive. I could hardly find staff like that. All the staff, including chefs, are very (yes, very) attentive. They pay attention what we need, what we like or dislike. Very interactive. The atmosphere is good. With such price. I’d expect 1:1 service. But it’s not. One chef serves multiple tables and some dishes are coming out from somewhere where we do not know. Overall experience is good.

Golden Valley is a restaurant known for its nice and quiet atmosphere, proper service, and delicious Sichuan food. The menu includes tasty appetizers, such as the chicken pot which can be on the salty side. The non-spicy vegetables in fish soup provide a nice balance to the meal, while the dandan noodle offers a unique texture with a lighter soup base. The signature fish dish is impressive with its silky coating and mild spiciness.
Went here ages ago with siuyeahdragon and the Signature fish dish at Golden Valley was impressive!! It isn't too spicy and the fish was very different in the sense that it had been coated before it was fried so it has a silky coating to it. Also had the sweet and sour pork with aged citrus peel. I found this too sweet but was nice how every piece of pork was shaped like a ball. Last but not least was the pea sprouts topped with crab roe and balsamic vinegar pearls! Will definitely come back for the fish but booking is required as this place is always packed.

The 4 person set dinner was a good enough for our six person. The deep fried chicken certainly was their signature one, tasteful and tender. The double boiled pork lung almond soup and the stir -fried Grouper Fillet were authentic and up to standard. This is the place if you looking for a nice, quiet atmosphere, proper service and some delicious Sichuan food. The 2 appetizers were tasty yet the chicken pot is on the salty side. We also had a non spicy vegetables in fish soup which gives the meal a nice balance. And to wrap, a dandan noodle, I like the noodle texture, the soup base is not as thick and heavy as usual ones. I would love to try their hotpot one day as most tables had that but since we only 2 pax, we need till next time.

Great authentic Sichuan food in a restaurant that also serves scrumptious Cantonese cuisine. Very pricey for the quantity of food though. Pepper prawns are a gimmicky dish but worth trying once (and no more). Water boiled fish (水煮鱼)is amazing, with the fish being soft and with precisely the right amount of texture.

Kicho 希鳥 is a renowned kappo restaurant originating from Tokyo, with branches in the Ebisu and Ginza districts. The restaurant takes pride in its expertise in charcoal grilling and specializes in tori kappo dishes featuring Kuro Satsuma chicken from Kagoshima Prefecture. This particular breed of chicken is known for its optimal fat content and fine fibers, regardless of the cooking method used.
Very authentic, high quality Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere brings me back to the times i used to live in Tokyo. True taste of Japan. Large variety of Yakitori, finely made in the open kitchen in front of you. Great service and friendly stuff. You can watch the Chef preparing your food. Highly recommended if you like cozy places and high quality Japanese food ☺️

10/10 Best yakitori in town. The yakitori are from Japan, the living environment of the free ranged chicken leads to the unique taste and texture of the yakitori. The umami of the obi (chicken inner thigh) is excellent. The chef and sommelier are very nice. They can offer customised changes to customers who dont eat raw chicken/ internal organs. Yet i highly recommend you to try the liver cooked in a medium rare fashion. The creamy texture and the strong flavour are unique. You cant find somewhere else like Kicho in HK, it is the best, trust me.

Discovering Kicho (希鳥): An Exquisite Japanese Yakitori Kappo Experience in Central All chickens are delicious, but some elevate the humble bird to an extraordinary culinary journey. Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Kicho (希鳥), a superb Japanese yakitori kappo restaurant located in the heart of Central, Hong Kong. Specializing in the prized Kuro Satsuma free-range chicken, directly sourced from farms in Kagoshima, Japan, Kicho offers a unique 14-course Omakase menu that showcases the versatility and depth of chicken flavors, prepared with masterful charcoal grilling techniques. The 14-Course Omakase: A Celebration of Chicken Each course at Kicho was thoughtfully crafted, highlighting different textures, flavors, and cooking styles that brought out the best in the Kuro Satsuma chicken: 🐓 Charcoal chicken breast meat topped with Tosa vinegar-gelle and mullet roe The meal began with a delicate balance of textures — the chicken breast was lightly seared on the outside, maintaining a tender pink center. The tangy Tosa vinegar jelly and the salty, umami-rich mullet roe added layers of freshness and complexity, awakening the palate. 🐓 Chicken Neck Skewer Known for its muscular texture and rich fat content, the chicken neck was expertly grilled over charcoal, releasing a smoky aroma and a satisfying chewiness that deepened with every bite. 🐓 Yakitori - Sasami (Tenderloin) topped with salmon roe and wasabi The tender chicken fillet paired beautifully with the burst of sweetness from the salmon roe and the subtle heat of wasabi, creating a harmonious and memorable flavor profile. 🐓 Chicken Heart Skewer A true delicacy, each skewer required hearts from four chickens. The chicken heart’s springy texture and juicy interior were enhanced by the chef’s precise grilling, making it a standout dish. 🐓 Chicken Diaphragm Skewer This rare cut offered a unique, chewy texture. Seasoned with a special blend of spices, it provided a refreshing and unexpected taste experience. 🐓 Chicken Skin Wrapped Chicken Breast Skewer The crispy, charred chicken skin encased the tender breast meat, locking in moisture and flavor. The contrast of textures was delightful and indulgent. 🐓 Momo (Thigh) with Japanese pepper The succulent chicken thigh was paired with Arima Sansho pepper paste, a fragrant and slightly spicy condiment that elevated the dish with a refined kick. 🐓 Tsukune (Minced chicken) served with egg yolk Served with a raw egg yolk, this minced chicken skewer was both visually striking and delicious. The egg yolk added richness and silkiness, enhancing the natural flavors of the meat. 🐓 Deep-fried beancurd with chicken miso Crispy on the outside and soft inside, the tofu was coated with a unique chicken miso sauce, offering a rich and savory flavor that was a delightful twist on traditional tofu pdengaku. 🐓 Chicken soup, mixed chicken and cod meatball The chicken and cod meatballs floated in a clear, sweet broth that was soothing and comforting, providing a gentle palate cleanser. 🍑 Peach Sorbet This refreshing sorbet, with its perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, cleansed the palate and prepared the senses for the next courses. 🍜 KICHO special slow-cooked chicken soup Ramen The star of the ramen was the rich, creamy chicken broth, slowly simmered to extract deep, comforting flavors that embraced the noodles. 🍚 Truffle Chicken and Egg Yolk Rice Bowl A luxurious finale featuring seasoned minced chicken, egg yolk, caviar, and black truffle atop steamed rice. The combination was decadent yet perfectly balanced. Kicho’s interior design centers around bar seating, allowing diners to watch the chefs skillfully grill each skewer over live charcoal. This close interaction enhances the dining experience, making it both intimate and engaging. On the night of my visit, the atmosphere was lively and joyful, as two celebrities at the neighboring seats celebrated a birthday, adding a festive vibe to the evening. I’m already looking forward to trying Kicho’s Omakase lunch menu next time!

Nestled near the iconic Hollywood Road in Hong Kong, Sushi Sase is a rising star in the sushi scene that you simply cannot miss. This cozy eatery offers an exceptional omakase experience, where you can choose between a lavish dinner or a more budget-friendly mini-lunch option. The highlight here is undoubtedly the made-to-order sushi, crafted with precision and paired beautifully with unique seasonings like zesty citrus and delicate rock salt.

The new chef has stringent standards: the rice is more al dente with stronger vinegar and no soy sauce is allowed while serving sushi. I applaud that.

Came here for lunch and the food was great. Fish were seasonal and fresh. We were served by the only Japanese sushi chef there that day and he was skillful and friendly. Great quality omakase at a reasonable price. Lots of dishes involved - didn’t seem to end! A lot of hot dishes, which then compared to the nigiri sushi seemed too little. Hot dishes were had its dash of creativity and was outstanding, where nigiri were delicious as well. However, dishes slightly overshadowed the sushi and if you are looking for more nigiri pieces, get the nigiri set or add on for more Overall great experience, though the seats were too close to each other.

4.5 stars. High-end Japanese restaurant in Sheung Wan. Restaurant a bit hard to find but offers a nice cozy traditional Japanese ambience once found. The sushi here is very fresh and the cooked dishes simple but sophisticated / excellent. Favorites are the sushi (one of the freshest I have tasted in HK) and the fish stew – again very fresh / don’t find it fishy at all. Other items are ok. Excellent service.

Ordered the Sakura 15 pc sushi omakase for dinner. Quality and service both met expectations. The chef kept it pretty low risk and simple for the most part but used just enough twists at times (e.g. use of lime, herbs, spices) to elevate the flavor. Its hard to go wrong here, although if you are a sushi connoisseur looking for something more original and different, you might want to explore other places.

Under the Pandemic circumstances, the Chef still can maintain the food quality. Shirako is still in the season, and its delicious & creamy.

Roji is a Japanese izakaya with French influences, located in a quiet backstreet near Lan Kwai Fong. The name "roji ura" translates to alleyway hideout, reflecting the relaxed atmosphere of the place. The menu offers a variety of dishes, from raw small bites to hot plates and rice boxes. Notable highlights include hamachi topped with salmon roe and crispy garlic chips, as well as a refreshing tomato dish with yuzu dressing and pickled onions.
All dishes are pretty tasty, the sauces they use are flavourful. The seafood box is pretty outstanding, highly recommended. We tried all 3 desserts, the sake pear is pretty special.

This restaurant is incredibly, incredibly BAD. For some other restaurant you might have few not so good dishes and some still normal, BUT for this one just all goes wrong. Scallops were not fresh and tasteless, the only thing with taste was its Yuzi sauce. Octopus, udon and wagyu rice were all overcooked. Udon was way too salty and soaked like...hm. Wagyu rice was like congee. After all these, the bill came and the atill water was costing hkd70 for a bottle (which is probably normal in Central, but I am just speechless seeing this after such a bad meal).
Peter H — Google review
Roji is one of those rare dining experiences where restraint meets decadence, precision meets creativity, and every bite feels like part of a perfectly curated story. Tucked away with an air of intimacy and quiet confidence, Roji delivers on every level—from service and atmosphere to flavor and finesse. The food is elegant yet bold, with a clear reverence for Japanese ingredients and techniques, elevated by thoughtful, modern twists. Starting with the Scallops—this dish is a lesson in balance and purity. The scallops themselves are delicate and sweet, barely kissed by the flame to preserve their natural texture. The yuzu dashi is vibrant and ethereal, adding layers of umami and citrus that wake up the palate without overpowering. Celtuce, with its gentle crunch and vegetal brightness, adds contrast and body. It’s a dish that feels minimal, but every element is doing quiet, essential work. Then comes the Aji Taco, which is nothing short of a flavor bomb. Served in crisp endives, this “taco” takes the idea of street food and dresses it in silk. The Japanese aji (horse mackerel) is fresh and punchy, balanced beautifully by the richness of miso and the gentle bitterness of daikon. It’s umami-packed, layered, and finished in just a few precise bites—one of those dishes that lingers on your mind well after it’s gone. And finally, the Wagyu Box—a showstopper. Perfectly cooked wagyu beef, melt-in-your-mouth and deeply marbled, sits atop rice that’s soaked up all the savory juices. The onsen egg adds silky richness when broken, making every spoonful luscious and indulgent. The shichimi brings gentle heat, and garlic chips add crunch and aroma that elevate the entire dish. And if you’re smart (and you should be), you’ll add the uni. That touch of briny, oceanic richness transforms an already luxurious dish into something unforgettable. It’s comfort food—if your idea of comfort is culinary perfection. The service at Roji is seamless—gracious, informed, and quietly attentive. The ambiance is intimate, stylish without being stiff, and the whole experience feels deeply personal. Five stars, easily. Roji isn’t just a meal—it’s an immersion into texture, flavor, and restraint. A true gem for those who appreciate the fine line between precision and indulgence.

We followed the directions in Google maps and had to listen to the reviews to find this little, dark alleyway to find the restaurant. The best dish was the seafood box and the black cod (that took so long to come out). The tomatoes were fresh and nice. But the rest of the dishes were just alright. Definitely more of a bar kind of vibe, so come with that esthetic in mind. Not a place I would highly recommend since there are so many better options in HK

Hip and happening place to see and be seen. Had to go through a little side street with air con water dripping on our heads. Took a bit of finding even with Google Map. I guess it added to the mystique. First look was exciting, good buzz in the establishment. Food and drinks taste and presentation was interesting. Service friendly. We went in a group of 8. My only complaint was that they only had long tables so conversation was not easy for those at the ends. We decide to go elsewhere for dessert

I was thrilled to try this newly opened fusion izakaya which tucked away in LKF. They took the spot of the then Brickhouse. What we ordered: Scallop, seafood tartare, hamachi, torotaku, seafood box, chicken katsu, and skillet pan cake with hojicha icecream. I liked everything we ordered, all the dishes were beautifully executed. I especially love the seafood tartare and seafood box, full of umami. Also, this skillet pan cake dessert is superb, the hojicha icecream taste so good, goes perfectly well with this warm sweet pan cake. The best way to end our meal. The downside is the portion of the dishes are all quite small and a bit pricy. We ordered a bottle of sake and everything share by two ppl, around $1000pp But I guess is acceptable as in this district. The vibe is cool, the music was a bit too loud though, my friend and I had to talk really loud like I thought we were clubbing last night, maybe that’s the LKF protocol 😂 Overall, I think it’s worth to try.

Agehan Japanese Restaurant あげ半, located in Landmark, is a beloved spot known for its delicious tempura bowls. Whether you opt for the regular or king-sized options, there's something to satisfy every appetite. Mixing the minced radish into your sauce is a must-do for enhancing the flavors. While lunch service may be quick but not overly friendly, the generous portions and quality of dishes make it worth considering a return visit.
Great omakase served in the evening! The ingredients were incredibly fresh and seasonal — the tuna was amazingly fatty; the abalone and melon was very refreshing; the fish was sweet and deliciously grilled; the beef was deliciously fatty and rich; the tempura was contrastingly lightly battered; and the rice was a good finish.

This used to be a favourite of ours, for relaxed lunches on a Saturday with good quality food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately when we returned earlier this year we found the prices had gone up considerably, and then more recently, saw that it had shut down. It seems they could no longer make ends meet.

In the past this place served authentic Japanese cuisine and was popular for business lunch; unfortunately now it’s just the price tag level can be kept. You are expected to finish the dishes fast, once you are done with your food, you have to go and you can’t stay long, the staff will deliver the invoice to the table before you ask and they will push to clear up plates and bowels as long as you put down your chopsticks, while you are actually still having the meal.

What an exquisite experience dining at this special Japanese restaurant. Every dish was superb, with fresh and delicious ingredients brilliantly concocted and presented together in an authentic manner. The sake pairing is a must! It showcases the creativity behind the curation of the sake choices to go alongside the seasonal menu, adding some fun in enjoying a range of sakes in different temperatures too. Tucked away in a small alleyway with an unassuming entrance, Godenya is anything but ordinary. My meal and experience there was easily one of the best of the year and I already look forward to my next visit!

A decent restaurant serving Japanese food at a reasonable price in this part of the city. Nothing really impressive but certainly a safe choice for a nice seating and service. Food is average and premium chained restaurant feeling. Ambience is quite nice though and not too noisy and a good place for chatting and food. Servers were helpful but rush for some reason. Outside is a place for drink and feel nice.

Absolutely delicious authentic Japanese cuisine housed within a dark yet cavernous and vibrant atmosphere. The wide variety of Tepanyaki set lunch menus were all reasonably priced for business meetings and the generous portions left us satisfied. Sashimi Donburi was fresh and the Eel was cooked with just the right amount of crispness. Seating was comfortable and the staff was both friendly and eager to accommodate. Overall well worth the experience. Needless to say i will be going back again to try other menu items. 😋

We were a little reluctant to have Japanese on Christmas night but we were glad we went. It was the first restaurant we went to that offers sushi, teppanyaki and yakitori at the same time. We were a bit skeptical as we ordered a teppanyaki fixed menu and a yakitori fixed menu. When the food started coming, we were impressed. The teppanyaki courses turned out to be actually kaiseki courses. They were excellent. The yakitori items were very good too. The staff was very nice and patient with our special requests. The only downside for us was the overly abundant quantities of the fixed menus. We were stuffed and ended up bagging the last couple items.
Jack L — Google review
Chill atmosphere. Once you walk past the bar, to one side is the teppanyaki and to the other is the sashimi bar. Got the cheapest omakase ($680), the sashimi were fresh, but not a whole lot of variety in terms of fish type. Plates are very nice? Would like to try a similar price point omakase at sushi Ono and see how the two compare.

Tempura Taki is one of the many Japanese restaurants in the busy Central, Hong Kong. To attract more business for dinner, it is now offering a 32% discount for customers who reserve their tables online. The best seats are the 12 counter seats surrounding Chef Barry’s stage. Servers are friendly and attentive. Guests are welcome to customize their own menu from HK$ 980/person up. Tempura dishes are crispy and not too oily. Highlights include the flavourful “Fresh Clam Tempura with Mushroom” and the refreshing “Tempura Shiso Uni Sandwich”.

The Tempura Taki is a Japanese Tempura restaurant that serves Omasaki, the Japanese for chef's menu. Located in Central on Wellington Street on the 8th floor of an obscure commercial building. The premises is decorated in a no frills manner and can seat about 20 in the general dining area and another number of people in a VIP Room that has a sliding door. So, last night, around 8.30 pm, my wife and I were walking around the area and came across this place without any booking. It was quite full actually but we obtained 2 seats at bar with 3 more places to spare. We were received and served by a man who appeared to be the manager and another younger gentleman. Both gents were neatly attired in black suits. They were extremely polite and bilingual which was good. Their service was consistently good throughout the dining that only finished at 11 pm. We ordered two separate menu sets that were actually the same for some of the dishes. The taste of all the dishes was consistently high in standard throughout the service and I could find no fault in them. Upon my enquiry, the head chef, a local man, divulged his 20 years experience in Tempura and well cooked Tempura dishes certainly reflected it. Finally, the cost, with a special discount for celebration of their 6th anniversary, came to HK$2,850. Overall, it was a good dining experience and I would highly recommend this place.

Excellent value, excellent food. Had their set lunch, omakase. Great batter, and not overly greasy. Chef works right in front of you, and food comes in piping hot. Good condiments and chefs were very friendly. Small restaurant so make sure you book. Their shrimp was excellent. Recommended.

This tempura restaurant is run by a chef from Hong Kong. I've been wanting to try it for a while, so I came here for lunch. It's located near Godenya. The interior is really beautiful, with maybe about 10 seats. The menu is quite extensive, including a full lineup of desserts. But I thought that it was a bit too oily. After I had their tempura, my stomach felt really heavy. I know that really good tempura is cooked in high quality oil, so you can eat as much as you want without getting any indigestion. Perhaps it was the oil's temperature, or frying method, or the batter itself, but it was all to heavy for me. The service was great, and the servers and staff were all really friendly and kind. But I thought that small improvements could have been made to really make their customer service spectacular. For example, when clearing the table, instead of stacking the empty plates at the table and carrying them away on a large tray, it is much more refined if they clear the plates one by one as they become empty. The sound of stacking the plates kind of disrupted the environment of the meal. But that's about it! If they can work on these two things, I think this is really a wonderful restaurant!

This was easily the best tempura I have experienced in Hong Kong. It is small place with only 12 seats. It is omakase style. Tried the “shu” set with 10 pieces of tempura, plus tendon, miso soup and fruit for dessert. The quality of tempura is excellent. Lightly battered. They are crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The vegetable tempura are especially delicious. The chef would advise you how to eat each piece: with the tempura sauce, or with salt or just by itself. I saw a lot of discounts at the door and tried it after a few meals. Called the left one, the special seafood donburi and miso soup include fish roe, tamagoyaki, salmon, and red shrimp with scallops. D. There are many ingredients. It is spread all over the rice. Red shrimp and scallops are all so sweet. Murozu oysters. If you see other comments, I’ll give it a try. It’s as big as two palms. The price is worth it. After eating the meat and meat, I also had its desserts. After eating the sashimi, I tried the grilled food first. Mentaiko chicken wings are so hot and spicy. I love this food every time I go to Japan. Because when you eat meat, you will taste the delicious taste of mentaiko, which is the same. The grilled eel skewers are grilled and the meat is very soft and cooked. The fish skin is a little crispy. The steamed bun sauce is added. It is very good. I use it with sushi rice. I will try it with sushi next time. Kaiseki restaurant
Japanese restaurant
RyuGin Hong Kong offers an upscale Japanese dining experience in the heart of Hong Kong. The restaurant is elegantly furnished with a blend of earthy and golden tones, aiming to bring the Tokyo dining atmosphere to its guests. The menu features top-class Kaiseki cuisine, consisting of 12 courses made from seasonal Japanese ingredients. Despite not always reaching the Michelin level of Japan, the meticulous preparation and attentive service ensure a terrific dining experience for visitors.
regardless of what kind of cuisine one likes, from a pure technique perspective, Ryugin is without doubt one of the most accomplished in Hong Kong. Its boundless choice of ingredients is as well worth a mention. my second visit here and still a satisfactory experience. I agree with some former reviews that the next table could be a little bit noisy (usual phenomenon in upscale restaurants usually in TST accommodating high rollers from the other side of the border), stepping sound in the corridor also cause much distraction; but reflecting these on the rating is just unhealthy to the culinary scene.
Alan C — Google review
Top class Kaiseki - 12 courses of seasonal Japanese ingredients. Attentive service. While the ingredients are at times not quite at the Japan Michelin level, the care and skill of preparation certainly is. Terrific.
王浩禾 — Google review
Compare to the Ryugin Tokyo, this place was definitely a disappointment. The overall course was just okay, nothing amazing. The only dish worth mention was the apple dessert. Service overall certainly wasn't Michelin worthy. There were many loud noises in the dining room. Servers shoes was making distracting sound. The service overall lacked attention to detail.

Food is up to standard (notably the dessert is very nice), though a bit pricy but worth the quality without flying to Japan (HKD 5400 for 2 without much drink). The service needs lots of improvements- 1. In the middle of service the waiter looks a bit rushy explaining dishes for us, made an impatient look that ruin the experience. 2. Our tea cup was never refilled throughout the meal, prob after we reject the recommendation of trying their hkd1,000 bottle tea? 3. What is most unbearable, after signing the credit card I was explicitly implied I should add in "tips" twice, while 10% service fee was charged. It's ok I know in fine dinning normally the waiter earn by tips and I normally do give a few hundreds. However after 1&2 not really in a mood to give extra (after HKD5000+ for 2 ppl). While being asked the 2nd time, I have to say explicitly the service is just soso therefore I leave it blank. What is shocking was when the same waiter returned my parking ticket there was not a single word but put straight the ticket on the table and left. We got engaged here so it got lots of emotional value for us, while working in the same building and live just next door, I always avoid coming here for business purpose and save it for our special occasion. Initially trying to establish a tradition of coming here every year for anniversary but now may simply not come back again and advise colleagues not to. Hope it can be improved for others in the future though.

The food was exquisitely nice. The ingredients were seasonal. I also have been to Ryugin in Tokyo before. I still prefer the Tokyo branch. But here the table is spacious. Easier to book. One of the best view in Hong Kong. Ordered special tea bottled to a bottle similar to wine. One of the best tea I have ever had.

Excellent presentation and taste. Every dish has surprise.

I almost don't want to review this restaurant because it's one of the best I've ever eaten. It is traditional Japanese cuisine in a fancy atmosphere. Each dish is a work of art and they are all delicious. It's expensive, so be prepared; but it's worth it.
Gregg F — Google review
Excellent food but we were sat next to very noisy group of drunk customers and management would not quiet them. We could not even hear food descriptions. Not a well managed environment and not worthy of Michelin rating

Caprice Bar at Four Seasons Hong Kong is a sophisticated and award-winning bar that offers a seasonal menu called Saisons, curated by cocktail expert Lorenzo Antinori. The menu features classic favorites with a twist using seasonal ingredients. Whiskey enthusiasts will love the Chestnut, an Old Fashioned-style drink made with roast chestnut-infused bourbon, bitters, maple syrup, and argan oil. The bar also offers a signature Caprice cheeseboard to complement the cocktails.
Went for drinks at the Caprice Bar, the manager was incredibly attentive and enthusiastic when recommending drinks to complement our preferences. All the staff were incredibly friendly and warm. Exceptional service, cosy vibes, and delicious drinks.

We had a truly wonderful experience at Caprice bar! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and the entire team took such great care of us throughout. The cocktails were not only delicious but also creative and refined, with beautifully balanced flavors. We also tried some of the pastries — hats off to the pastry chef! They were delicate, full of flavor, and impressively original. We had an amazing time, and the decor added to the charm of the experience. A must-visit in Hong Kong!

Love this quiet place, even the more popular Argo bar downstairs has been the place to be. always come back for the comfort and professional service and quality drinks 🍸
Billy ( — Google review
Last minute went to this bar as Agro was closed on that day. Nice ambience with sea view with some seating. We asked the staff for recommendation on strong cocktail and Poire en Cognac was one of them. Super disappointed with the cocktail as didn't feel I was drinking cocktail but rather mixed drinks with a spiked of some liquor??!! The snacks provided was not to the standard of the bar. For the quite expensive price for the drinks, will not recommend at all for the drinks unless you just want the view and ambience.

One of the most luxurious bars I have visited. Every aspect of it is excellent. Highly recommended.
Veronica P — Google review
Suave interior, competent and friendly staff, amazing view, aromatic truffle negroni- a must-go for all bar lovers!
Sweet.n.savouryy — Google review
The worst I can expect in a five star hotel. I used to leave good impression of this hotel with their restaurant. But this bar is an epic fail. The coconut cocktail has no taste of coconut at all, there is vermouth, djinn and coconut oil. I only felt the strong alcoholic and bitter taste like campari. The ingredients are not blended well. We didn’t want a second drink after this. Also, we paid $105 and 10% service fee charged for Evian water. Never again.
Katy W — Google review
Bad cocktails - half the list tasted bad. Moscow Mule as sour as Skittles Sour. Truffle Negroni tasted like cold instant noodle with sesame oil. Mediocre service. Did not serve bar snacks with drinks order; claimed they ran out before last order when Argo downstairs was still serving the exact same snacks. Unsatisfactory for this price tag at the restaurant at Four Seasons.

Japanese restaurant
IE Sushi and Teppanyaki, which stands for "Home" in Japanese, offers an intimate dining experience with modern Japanese interiors. The restaurant features a special summer dinner menu with unique dishes like foie gras and peach confiture served in a Japanese style waffle, French Blue lobster, and Miyazki wagyu seared on teppans.
Nice food with great ambience. Both sashimi and teppanyaki are good. We had an enjoyable lunch. The location is kind of hidden in the floor. You can enjoy a piece of peace in the hustle city.
Cindy W — Google review
Surprisingly good - we had the sushi not teppanyaki.
Jenny T — Google review
Very bad service, made reservation more than a week ago and specifically asking for teppanyaki but they failed to inform me there is no seat left at the teppanyaki room. Only found out when I got there. Staff was not helpful at all. The service was so bad it doesn’t worth the price they are charging. There are many good teppanyaki places in hk and IE is definitely not one of them. Also the Hong Kong sushi chef was shouting for waiter to bring up soy sauce when I was still waiting for service. Never heard a chef shouting at any omakase place. What a disgrace for a Japanese brand.
W T — Google review
We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. Here below was the reply by their management. "I profusely apologize for the poor service you received at my restaurant last Monday. I am taking the matter seriously and will be discussing this issue with each employee in person. As we have received your complaint about our booking system and on my receptionist (Ms.Chan). On 13th of April you had made a call to reserve and requested a Teppanyaki counter at our restaurant for 25th of April at 19:00pm. The reservation was taken by my receptionist Ms.Chan, And unfortunately on 25th a reservation for a private room came up and we were unable to provide a Teppanyaki seat to you due to priority will be given to private room booking. so our receptionist had called you acknowledging that Teppanyaki is unavailable then you had also brought out a question about my receptionist (Ms.Chan) that she had not mentioned that you could have booked a private room on the 13th of April when the reservation was taken that day, Ms.Chan had gave a answer, you didn't ask. While on the phone inquiring Ms.Chan had given a ignoring impression to you and was then passed to my operation manager to follow up. Finally our operation manager has made a decision to reject and turn down the booking of the private room and offered you our large Teppanyaki room without minimum charge. I hope to have your understanding that we value your visit with us. We will focus and provide more training on the taking reservation part to provide more information about our restaurant booking status to our guests. And I will make note of the unprofessional attitude of Ms.Chan to make sure that it won't happen again to any customer in the near future. Our IE restaurant has complications on booking due to lack of tables and sudden private room bookings. Sadly to hear that when your parties arrived at our Teppanyaki room that night, we are not able to provide a chef in time for cooking. Let me kindly explain that what happened that night was one of our chefs suddenly called in absent at 6:00pm, then we were left with one chef only. And unfortunately he was cooking for another table while you were waiting for his service, he wanted to try cooking for your table at the same time he was cooking on his table at that moment. But of course we truly understand that you would like to enjoy the cooking in front of you. But sadly it leaves us no choice at that moment. If you have to wait for our chef to finish cooking at his room it will take a period of time. Sorry for the careless response from my staff that they could have told you that we are having trouble on the manpower at our kitchen that night. Maybe you can change to other places. I can say that we truly regret the outcome that had happened that night, my staff was trying to serve you the best he could that he turned down a booking that night to provide you a private room just unfortunately things don’t work out well. So for the meantime we have decided to cut all our booking in half until our operation went back to normal. Once again with truly regrets from me and behalf of my company. Please accept our apologies. Your feedback is vital to our success, and we will be using this as a learning experience to improve our service."

Sushi restaurant
Sushi Haru is an intimate Edomae-style sushi bar located in Tokyo, offering a unique omakase experience led by sushi master Motoharu Inazuka. The restaurant features just eight counter seats and boasts a 250-year-old natural hinoki wood bar, which contributes to more than half of the design spend. Sourced personally by the chef, the menu showcases the best seafood and produce from across Japan.
Top notch! This is the address you want to go for highest quality sushi delight! This is what you would expect from a Tokyo exclusive restaurant. Every singly dish having a comfort wow effect. Headchef Moto Inazuka is dominating the competition.
