Dinner theater
Nestled near the picturesque Grand Canal Dock, Herbstreet is a modern cafe that prides itself on serving sustainable and locally sourced produce. The eatery boasts a delightful array of breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner options made from organic ingredients. With a focus on minimizing its carbon footprint, the cafe's decor is designed to have a low impact on the environment.
Best pancakes I’ve ever had and so filling. I’ve also tried the “breakfast of champions” with the smoked salmon and poached eggs on top of the rösti which was absolutely fantastic.
Akram M — Google review
Delicious breakfast and excellent customer service. Three visits over 2.5 weeks. Their smoked salmon is beautiful. Have the ‘Breakfast of Champions’ and you will not be disappointed. Ps. Book at the weekends
Patrick S — Google review
Lovely visit to Herbstreet for brunch this morning. Glad we had booked as it was very busy. This however didn’t compromise on the friendly welcome that we were greeted with and the attentive service throughout. We’d booked an indoor table but asked if we could sit outside as it was such a beautiful day and the outdoor seating area at the front had a lovely view over the docks and was basking in sunshine. This was accommodated and early explained when the table was to be returned. Great menu with a range of breakfast/lunch options. Food was delicious and portions very generous. Hadn’t visited this area of Dublin before but lots of interesting sightseeing opportunities close by for afterwards. Hope to visit again.
A B — Google review
A nice place for brunch or lunch in Grand Canal Dock. The food is very tasty and their menu have a variety of healthy meals like the Champions Breakfast, some salads for lunch or a little sinful like their blueberries pancakes with orange butter flavour and the french toast. Regular coffee, good matcha and chai latte. But one of the things that makes us return here is the customer service, the staff are really amazing, friendly and always helpful and welcoming you with a big smile. Feels like going to eat at home.
Maura T — Google review
I brought my grandmother here before the book of Mormon. We both got chicken and waffles. It was her first time getting them!! She absolutely loved it and enjoyed her very first mimosa as well. The only letdown with restaurant is that it is very loud and they play heavy bass music, which makes it hard to have conversation!
Gavin L — Google review
Maple and bacon French toast was delicious. Would definitely come back! I felt that the portion could’ve been a bit bigger for the price, either an extra piece of bacon or french toast. Still lovely
Deborah — Google review
Breakfast of champions! Absolutely delicious and super filling — I didn’t feel hungry for the rest of the day! Everything was spot on: perfectly poached eggs, creamy avocado, fresh smoked salmon, and a squeeze of lime that tied it all together. Oh, and the coffee? Smooth, rich, and just what I needed. Loved the cozy spot and the lovely view. Definitely coming back for more!
Sasha K — Google review
Nice little ‘neighbourhood restaurant’ as they proclaim on a sign outside. But it’s true. It has a nice, cozy and easy going atmosphere and everyone from the staff is very welcoming and friendly. We had the Chicken and Waffles and a Full Irish breakfast and unfortunately part of the Irish breakfast were quite cold or stale as they have to pre prepare it. Overall it was relatively bland. The chicken and waffles were tasty as well as the fries.

Brasserie
Breakfast restaurant
Brunch restaurant
Balfes is a vibrant brasserie located just off Grafton Street, featuring a lively atmosphere and a full bar. The restaurant offers an outdoor terrace, making it an ideal spot for enjoying sunny days with your furry friend. Their brunch menu includes unique dishes such as Italian style eggs with peperonata and crispy kale on sourdough, as well as crispy chicken & waffles with pancetta and hot sauce.
Loved our brunch at Baffles. Food was A1. Inside was very loud with few groups of hen party’s. Noice level can only be compared to an airplane hanger with two propeller airplanes revving their engines in competition. But staff were nice and helped us move outside.
Calvin D — Google review
I visited Balfes with a friend, we made a reservation for two a day in advance and were really looking forward to it. The service was excellent; the staff were friendly and very attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. We ordered brunch, the ingredients were clearly high quality, and the vegetables were fresh, but the poached eggs were overcooked, which was disappointing. The avocado wasn’t ripe and was quite hard, and the sweet potato was also undercooked. Aside from those issues, the flavors were good. However, I wouldn’t return to pay €30 for a brunch that felt poorly executed.
Mary C — Google review
Excellent experience! We didn’t have a reservation but were quickly offered a table on the terrace. The presentation was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the portions were huge. I saw the biggest bowl of Caesar salad I’ve ever seen at the next table! Service was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!
Natalia P — Google review
Nice place for some brunch! We went here for brunch and I had the waffles with bacon. I felt that it was very pricey for what I was served, which was quite bland. The atmosphere is also a bit stifling as the tables are very close together, along with the place being filled to the brim. The service however was very accommodative and I'm grateful that they were able to keep my table when I was running late. All in all, the food is nice, but not exceptional, and it leaves more to be desired at the price point which it maintains.
James F — Google review
High quality food and relaxed seating. We highlights were the carpaccio starter and seafood skillet. We also ordered the French onion soup and steak frittes which were done on a very high quality. Great whiskey based cocktails too.
Zung T — Google review
It’s really not worth the money, €19 for an eggs Benedict/ eggs royal and the poached eggs were hard boiled. I asked to have them done again soft boiled and they came back again with another hard boiled egg, quite disappointing. Then when the food was brought back, they had removed the caviar from the plate?? Now the food was tasty but for that price point it’s just too much. And the toilets? I personally don’t feel comfortable having mixed bathrooms for men and women that just doesn’t fly right with me. Overall the food was ok but it’s very overpriced for what you get. I’d say give it a go and judge for yourself!
Josh M — Google review
Balfe’s has a solid reputation and is part of a well-known Dublin hotel, but it doesn’t quite live up to the hype—especially when compared to similar venues in other European cities. For the price point, the little details were off: table settings felt basic, condiments were a bit tacky, and overall it lacked the polish you’d expect. The most surprising bit? The staff had real trouble making an Irish coffee—in Dublin. It’s not terrible, but for a place that positions itself as higher-end, it really should be doing a lot better.
Key M — Google review
Amazing brunch and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly! 100% recommended

Breakfast restaurant
The Bakehouse Dublin is a charming bakery and eatery located on historic Bachelors Walk, offering traditional Irish cuisine in a cozy setting. The owner, Joanne Peat, who was previously an interior decorator, has infused the space with retro pop decor details that create a welcoming atmosphere. The bakery prides itself on freshly baked breads and cakes made in-house daily, while also serving top-notch sandwiches, salads, pies, stews, and soups.
Great breakfast cafe in the heart of Dublin. You have to order at the counter and the place might be crowded, but it is definitely worth a visit. Good drinks and fantastic breakfast food. I mean, look at my breakfast burger :)
Sven R — Google review
We had a late breakfast here while in Dublin. The place is adorable, with a real small diner kind of feel. The food was great! The coffee was excellent. The only downside was the slow service. It took a while for our food to be ready and when I ordered a coffee to go there was no rush to get it done. I sat for 7-10 mins waiting for someone to stop talking and make it. If the service was quicker I would rate it higher. All that said, the staff were very nice and accommodating, just no sense of urgency. Good spot in Dublin, worth a stop!
Billy P — Google review
Very neat little coffee shop right off the canal close to Trinity University. The ham and cheese toastie was recommended and did not disappoint. The bacon brioche was very flavorful as well. Highly recommend!!!!
Ryan S — Google review
Fabulous place in Dublin, one of the best goats cheese salads I’ve ever had! And the little muffin was just the cherry on top! Will definitely be coming back.
Megan K — Google review
The most wonderful cafe and breakfast and coffee was perfect. Service was lovely and the music made for the most perfect breakfast to start our day on a rainy morning. They serve the most delicious chocolate mini muffin with coffee.
Vicky D — Google review
By far one of my favorite places to eat in Dublin. The atmosphere was super friendly, as were the staff! The food was absolutely delicious and the wait time is very minimal! Overall a very nice experience with no complaints:)
Annabel U — Google review
Super lovely staff and food to die for. I had a iced late that rivals anything you can get in the states. The staff was friendly and willing to stop and really talk with us. 10 out of 10 would come again!
Charlie B — Google review
The food let's this place down. I was excited to try as it had such good reviews. I got the chicken sandwich and chips. The chips were inedible as they were too crispy and tasteless. Chicken sandwich was just fine, not much on it, just chicken, spinach and mayo. I wish I had just gone and got food from a fast food place

Restaurant 104 is a cozy Irish eatery that serves up seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant is highly praised for its top-notch food, with standout items like the cod starter and seabass main receiving rave reviews for their presentation and taste. Guests also appreciate the indulgent desserts, such as the warm and gooey cookie dessert. The establishment's weekend brunch featuring an exquisite Irish breakfast with perfectly cooked eggs and artisanal sausage has become a favorite among visitors.
One sixth of our party got caught up in the hurling traffic and were extremely late but the staff were very chill about it and delivered a very effective staggered service and remained cheerful despite having to ask us 8 times if we were ready to order. The food was very good and everything was presented beautifully. The vibes are modern and chill, the wine hits the spot, and they'll keep your glass topped up nicely. I recommended the wings and just get both types of you can't choose between buffalo and BBQ, you won't regret it.
Hannah M — Google review
What an amazing place. So very very accommodating. Food was top class. Staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us amend a reservation and help us out. Varied menu. Will definitely be back to try some more dishes.
Dee H — Google review
Delicious, we had skillet steak and fries with garlic mayonnaise and chimichurri. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and great staff. It filled up fast with other diners while we were there so it's extremely popular for a Monday evening. Definitely be back.
Patricia P — Google review
Food and service were amazing- great pre-gig lunch and cocktails, but I'd go back regardless if I were going to a gig or not! Yummy!!
Cort H — Google review
We were in Dublin visiting family and went to this restaurant on the off chance when in the area. What a delight, food was fabulous, would recommend.
Debra C — Google review
A place not to be missed. I had as a starter the beef croquettes and the bourguignon as a main and both were fabulous. The staff are very attentive and the vibes in the place can be very cozy on a rainy day. Would definitely come back when in the area!
Ana P — Google review
I've visited here for lunches and dinner and food is consistently good. Fish tacos are particularly fresh and tasty. Staff and owner are lovely and so helpful. Great neighbourhood restaurant.
Fiona O — Google review
Went here before a gig in Croke Park. I can only assume this is why the portions were so small. Four bite size fish tacos and approx 15 skinny chips...€22.50. No veg, no garnish. No food at all really. The philly steak sandwich, which is usually served with the filling spilling out, was severely lacking to say the least. I ordered a Toblerone cheesecake to fill me up. €13 and it was the size of the Daim cakes in IKEA. Or €13 for a brownie the size of the packaged ones in chain coffee shops. The little food we did get was tasty. The wine was passable. Nine people in our party and no one got a full portion. The staff were the saving grace; polite, friendly and quick. Typical of price gouging in Dublin when it comes to gigs and tourists because they can't serve these portions on a daily basis can they??

Creperie
Breakfast restaurant
Lemon Crêpe & Coffee Co., located in the heart of Dublin's city center, has been a popular spot since 1999. It offers deliciously thin, French-style crepes with a wide variety of toppings, making it an ideal place for people-watching and enjoying a sweet treat. The bright orange space is known for its classic lemon and sugar topping, but there are many other options to choose from.
Excellent spot for a savory crepe and a latte! Went twice during my time in Dublin, and it was great both times. It gets busy at times, so finding a seat is hit or miss I was told, but I lucked out both times. Really great crepes, can't complain at all! Would definitely come back!
Meg M — Google review
First-time visitor to Ireland. Was told this was a great place, near our hotel, for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. The big breakfast crepe was delicious (have to put the BalleyMaloe relish on it... yum) The sugar waffle was even better and the Americana coffee was very good. It's a small quaint place with outdoor seating.
Greg B — Google review
I had a delicious strawberry supreme crepe and an iced latte. My boyfriend had the breakfast and maple stack, and said they were the best pancakes he ever had! The staff were very friendly too. Would definitely recommend :)
Holly W — Google review
Went for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. The omelette was very good and the pancake and french toast surpassed expectations. Very generous portions and well made as well! Drinks were good too. Only thing was that the omelette seemed to have a sweet aftertaste that seemed strange. Maybe the same utensils were used to cook something sweet before.
Ali H — Google review
Great place and people, I just took the breakfast, it’s perfect.
Valentin I — Google review
Fabulous! Absolutely a must visit. Super accommodating, friendly staff. Darker crepes in the images are gluten free. Both sweet and savory offerings. Great coffee too. So good, for our short two day visit, we ate here both days. An absolute must if anywhere close!
Ernie H — Google review
"Absolutely fantastic experience at Lemon Crepe! Their chocolate crepes are nothing short of perfection. The crepe itself is light, soft, and perfectly golden, while the rich, velvety chocolate filling melts in your mouth with every bite. The combination is indulgent but not overly sweet, making it the perfect treat for any time of day. The presentation was beautiful, and the atmosphere of the café is cozy and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall delightful experience. If you're a chocolate lover or a crepe enthusiast, this is the spot you simply can't miss. Highly recommend! Be nice to see Vegan option(s)

We had breakfast here and the service was absolutely excellent. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly, which made the whole experience even better. In fact, it was so good that we came back the very next morning—and were treated just as kindly the second time. We tried the pancakes, banana bread, and French toast, and everything was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The location right by the water adds a lovely touch, and the atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, and very enjoyable. All in all, this place is a gem for breakfast—great food, friendly service, and a wonderful setting. Definitely worth a visit (or two!).

Ordered the Kinder pancakes and the Irish breakfast — both were tasty and well-prepared. The menu offers a good variety and the prices are quite reasonable for the location. The atmosphere is bright and casual, perfect for a relaxed brunch. The only downside was that the service could’ve been a bit more personable and friendly — it felt slightly rushed or indifferent. Still, a solid spot for breakfast or brunch in the city centre, and I’d definitely go back.
Leon B — Google review
Lovely breakfast options and tasty food. We got the brioche with egg, avocado, relish, halloumi and bacon (no bacon for me) + match latte and americano + the star pancakes. All delicious, in good portion and we got them quickly. Service was good as well. Recommend arriving early. We arrived there at 9am on a Saturday, first to enter but suddenly the place was busy with tourists, but we had a good time there.

I went to Pog for a quick brunch and the food was great. I got the Avo toast and my friend got the scrambled eggs. Both taste delicious. You should note that they are quite popular for brunches and may have a waiting for the same. We waited about 20-25 mins to get a seat.
Anwesha G — Google review
Excellent service and delicious food! I really enjoyed my meal. everything was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was fast. They’ve also added new dishes to the menu, and they’re amazing! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Everything about the place was absolutely amazing, the server we had was super sweet & lovely, he definitely gave us a warm welcome to Dublin. We had Vincent as our server and honestly hope others get to experience his service, we all loved him and found him to be the best x

Great options for food! We got the The Star, Avo Toast, and Breakfast Brioche. Super great all around! Staff was great too. The lattes are yummy.
Faith P — Google review
We had a very bad experience. The waiter was very inattentive and constantly rushed to the door to open it to other guests while we were ordering. He also repeated our order correctly but still forgot part of our order so wee had to wait again. They did not have a lot of the menu and it was sad that they could not at least make the dish with one ingredient missing (e.g. the chicken chorizo sandwich could not be ordered even if we were fine with getting it without the chorizo). They also rushed us because there were people waiting even though we only stayed 40 min for a breakfast. We also saw the waiter putting in his eye drops. No washing hands or going to the bathroom, just in front of all the guests. We think that was very unhygienic. The food was good. The french toast was very nice! We will still not be coming again.

A good place for a different breakfast/ brunch experience. The ingredients seem very fresh and plentiful. The service was very good and prompt. The place was packed but the food came out reasonably fast. The only comment I have is about the setup and design of the place. It definitely needs a refresh and a french themed decor would make such a difference.

My go to place when it comes to amazing crepes. Everything is made fresh and they have a great variety for both savoury and sweet crepes. My go to for savoury is the La Provençale, and for the sweet option it’s the homemade salted caramel with banana and a scoop of ice cream-it’s always such a treat. They have pasties that are made fresh daily too. Coffee is stunning! The staffs are friendly and helpful to their customers. The place itself is on a good spot quite accessible for commuters for both buses and train although parking space is only limited I think to street parking.

Coffee is great, both mine and my wife’s crepes were burnt and they actually served them to us that way. If you like thin very crispy and burnt flavored crepes then this is for you. I don’t recommend.

The best crêpes that I’ve ever eaten very good taste, crazy flavors and the hot chocolate it was 100% luxury! I love it

Crowded but nice, French breakfast was really good and quite a lot, the Cappuccino was also delicious and really hot, that's the way I like the start of the day...

We had a nice crepe and latte at Le Petit. Very pleasant service. My guest wanted a decaf tea but they didn’t do decaf tea. Perhaps worth getting some bags in for people who want decaf as only a very small outlay.

Chez Max is a beloved traditional French bistro in Dublin, established in 2005. The restaurant exudes an unmistakable French flair, from its layout to the music, food, and service. With classic Parisian-style bistro setting and red checked tablecloths draping the pavement tables, it offers an al fresco experience reminiscent of the charming streets of Paris.
A little gem hidden outside the crowed center. Quick and prompt service. Delicious food! We didn’t drink any wine but tried the Irish beer Aphouse ( I think) Jordan the waiter was the best!! Thank you for an very nice experience!

A wonderful French restaurant nestled against the walls of Dublin Castle. What a pleasant surprise. The staff was wonderful and attentive. The food was fantastic. I love French food and it's hard to find. It was such a treat.
Kelly B — Google review
Nicely tucked away in the corner of a busy Dublin city center, Chez Max was a lovely place to dine. Quiet area, hole in the wall spot. My partner and I had no reservation prior to visiting but they were still able to seat us outside. Menu was either a two-course or three-course meal. Not to pricey considering the quality of the food and service. I slyly requested a little birthday surprise for my partner and they obliged, no hesitation. The consistent check-in from the waitress and other servers was so appreciated! Overall a delicious meal on a quiet night in a secluded yet easy to access location. Can’t complain—would eat here again!

Delicious food. Tried escargots for the first time and they were wonderful. Duck main was sublime as was the perfectly balanced crème brûlée. Lovely French bistro restaurant tucked away, just off Dame St. I got so much joy from this meal. French food is just the best.
Max M — Google review
Went in with my wife for a birthday dinner. Seated quickly inside and our waitress was ready for our drinks order immediately. Food came out quickly but we were never rushed. Would recommend the French onion soup and crème brûlée. Lovely outside areas at the front and back if the weather is accommodating.
Niall C — Google review
Food amazing. Wine list for the most part, decent. The riesling tastes like bad apple juice. Would Not recommend. The wine glasses they served our white wine in were ugly and cheap, but the other tables got adult glasses. The champagne on the list, the only one is great. Escargot and Foie gras, impeccable. The trout and the duck confit, also really great. Staff for the most part friendly and enjoyable.
J N — Google review
I am truly disappointed with this service. I had onion soup during my trip to France before, and it was absolutely delicious. But the onion soup I had here was really not good at all — the taste was completely different and unpleasant. On top of that, the staff were very rude, especially the male waiter. After we finished eating and they he clearing the table, he very rudely asked my bf, “Did you like the food? Are you sure??” in a disrespectful manner.

Lovely dinner on our first night in Dublin - the place is cozy, well-run, and the food is phenomenal! I had the steak frîtes, because yum, and my husband had the chicken Provençale. We both cleaned our plates, then demolished the pavlova together. Our server was delightful (from France) and the ambiance was perfect. Such a lucky find!

Spread Café is a popular breakfast spot located in Dublin 7, known for its relaxed atmosphere and varied breakfast menu. The café offers a range of options from simple bacon and sausage baps to full Irish breakfasts with Clonakilty pudding. It's recommended to make reservations between Tuesday and Friday, but on weekends, walk-ins are welcome. Additionally, the café provides updates on table availability via WhatsApp so guests can enjoy a coffee while waiting.
A good place for breakfast, very popular with visitors. We had to wait a bit for a table, but that's not a problem. Food: plenty of plant-based milk options for coffee, but unfortunately few non-dairy food options. My choice was either salad or fish and chips. I stopped at the second one. The portion is huge, the fish is juicy, the potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The tartar sauce feels like it was made on its own, as does the pea puree. Very tasty, but a lot. Place: the place inside has many tables, so when it was fully seated it felt too crowded.
Anastasiia P — Google review
We decided to visit this place after the renovation, so I don’t really know if it was good before. It’s a little bit overcrowded and overpriced, but I didn’t really feel that it was something special unfortunately. Staff is very nice and friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming but very tight too. The pancakes were nice, not enough Nutella stuffing or strawberries. The sandwich was nothing special, pre-made and heated.

Visited here recently and was so impressed! Great menu with plenty to choose from, including plenty of gluten free options. Delicious food and generous portions. Great coffee also. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Small and busy establishment which didn't hinder the atmosphere but rather added to it. Will definitely be returning!

The Q is around 40’ if you have not booked a table. I suggest you book a table before heading there. The food is tasty and the portions are good. We had eggs Benedict with chorizo, the tomato relish makes it very tasty along with the spiciness of the chorizo. The pancakes were good too.

Omg Chorizo Egg Benedict was so delicious! I did not expect to be that good but it was. I was recommended by the waiter and I am so glad 😌 It is at my neighbourhood and I had been planning to visit it for a while and I finally did it. Matcha latte was really nice too 👌🏻 Highly recommend it!

I love love love this place. We got there on Saturday morning about 5 minuet after they opened and they were already full and had a small queue outside. So make sure to book or to avoid the rushes. The host was super accommodating and she managed to find us a table within five minutes. The menu has lots of options but is still very concise and the drinks menu is the same. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who really wants good brunch food inside a cute cafe with good vibes and even better food.

Absolutely fantastic place! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. And the food is brilliant! Full Irish breakfast is very tasty and will keep you full for the whole day and eggs Benedict are the best I have ever had. The place is very busy most of the time and on the weekends they have only walk ins so if you are not there by opening time, you might have to wait a while before you get the spot. However, worth the wait!

Can’t rave enough - do note the place is small and so it can get busy. Loved the matcha vanilla latte and the croissant as well as the poached egg on brioche.

Despite a 15-minute wait, this brunch spot was well worth it. The staff were wonderful, but the real star was the food. I usually shy away from dishes where bread is the main component, but this one was a game-changer. The sourdough was thick and hearty, and the toppings were great!

A small yet utterly charming café. From the moment you step inside, its warm and welcoming atmosphere embraces you. The staff are attentive, kind, and courteous, perfectly complementing the character of the place. Because of the rainy weather, we couldn’t sit outside, but the cozy and tranquil ambiance indoors made up for it. Breakfast, enriched with Lebanese-inspired touches, was both delicious and satisfying, offering pleasant surprises beyond the usual flavors. The only shortcoming was the absence of Wi-Fi access. Other than that, everything was more than enough to start the day beautifully.

Amazing experience and some of, if not thee, best food we ate during the week of our stay. So delicious that we immediately started planning to see if we could fit in a second visit. The shaksuka was one of the best I’ve ever had and my friend had the eggs on toast and was blown away, especially as someone who is dairy free and who has struggled to find options in Dublin. The staff was also so kind and welcoming - they even gave us recommendations for the rest of our stay. Absolutely can’t recommend enough! A must stop if you’re in Dublin.

Such a wonderful and affordable Dublin brunch spot! I came with my parents who are visiting and they already want to come back tomorrow! The food is simple, delicious and very flavorful. I would love to shout out our waiter Callum I beleive his name was. My father has hearing aids and it was loud and busy even on a Monday morning but he was super patient with him and us as a whole. I will certainly be back very soon!

Tang is one of those spots that just nails the café-brunch vibe. 🌿☕ I dropped by for brunch and went with the cauliflower hummus and honestly, I’d come back just for that. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly the kind of dish that makes you feel like you’re starting your day right. The staff were super friendly too genuine smiles, great energy, and quick on their feet. (I almost managed to baptize the table with a glass of water 🙈, but they swooped in, cleaned it up right away, and made me laugh about it instead of feeling awkward.) Overall, Tang feels like a place where good food meets good vibes a brunch spot worth bookmarking. Dublin 2 Ratings: 🍴 Food: 4.5/5 🛎 Service & Ambience: 5/5 💸 Money’s Worth: 4/5 Overall: 4.5/5 – A cheerful, flavorful brunch café I’d happily revisit.

Spectacular brunch—well-made and delicious. We went on a Sunday around noon; it was quite busy, but there were still a couple of free tables. Both the coffee and the food were amazing. The prices might be a few euros higher than in other places, but it’s definitely worth it.
Laura G — Google review
I absolutely loved Urbanity! I tried their **mushroom brunch**, and it honestly stood out from any other I’ve had in Dublin. It’s the *only place* where I’ve seen the chefs actually take the time to use **four or five different types of mushrooms** in one dish — each with a unique flavor and texture that made the plate feel really special. The presentation was beautiful, the ingredients tasted super fresh, and the atmosphere was cozy yet modern. Perfect spot for a weekend brunch or a relaxed catch-up with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back! 🍄☕🥑

You can make up your breakfast which is great as the menu is not your traditional one, seems to have lots of alternative options. Not much space between the seats. Seems to be a popular spot, hence was crowdy. Pricey as well as I spent around 35 euros for breakfast for two. I enjoyed my eggs , sourdough bread was quite dry. Seems like a shop bought one.

Lovely restaurant for brunch. Got the scrambled eggs on toast option and was loaded with eggs on a massive piece of toast!! Wouldn’t recommend the Americano unfortunately, as it tasted quite unpleasant.

I am not often in town but when I DO have reason to go to the City Centre, I make a beeline for Urbanity, just off Smithfield. This place is truly worth a detour! Food selection is phenomenal. The range on offer is just mouth-watering with great attention to flavour and seasoning. The soups are hearty and imaginative and, served with outstanding brown bread, a meal in itself. Add a glass of wine and you have a feast. Great coffee too. On my visit last week, midweek, finding Urbanity to be dog-friendly when I met the owner's gorgeous wheaten terrier really made my day. Thanks to the always cheerful staff too.

Keoghs Cafe is a charming spot in the heart of Dublin, offering a cozy atmosphere and a diverse menu. While it primarily focuses on breakfast options such as Irish fry variations, omelettes, granola, and porridge, it also serves lunch and dinner items like curries and stews. The cafe's prices are quite reasonable, with most dishes ranging from 8 to 9.50 euros. Additionally, there are lighter snack options available for around 4.50 euros.
This place was recommended by a local and I’m so glad I asked them where I could get the best Irish breakfast! The food was exquisite. More importantly the service was incredible. The server Serkan was superb!! He was so friendly and gave service with a smile. I had a few questions about the breakfast as it was my first time trying it, and he described everything to perfection. Not to mention he took some great photos for me, enjoying this moment. I would come back for the food but mostly for Serkan’s great service. Thank you Keoghs!

Excellent place to eat. Called for breakfast and also for snacks. Had poached eggs on toast, it came with huge portions of toasted sour dough. Delish. Coffee was good quality. Large array of cakes available, all looked great and I was assured were cooked fresh. A lot of choice! I went for banana and walnut.

We visited this cafe on our day trip to Dublin, lovely start to the day with an amazing breakfast. We arrived around 10am and it was extremely busy. We were able to eat in, there were 4 of us but luckily, managed to get two tables for two close to eachother. We had the Irish breakfast but while we were waiting my partner had a raspberry and white chocolate muffin as they had just come out the oven, it was delicious! It cost around £45 for me and my partner with coffees and the muffin but that was the theme for the rest of the day, its very expensive in Dublin. I would recommend a visit though as the food and service were fantastic.

A really nice cafe with loads of fresh pastries including the highlite - vegan scones. The only thing missing was fresh cream to make it an ideal afternoon tea experience. We also found a nice moist carrot cake on display 🤣

We went there for breakfast and came back the next morning when my daughter arrived. It is that good and exactly what a tourist from the US might think of when they imagine a Dublin coffee shop. The pastries were beautiful and delicious. The plates were plentiful and perfectly prepared. You might have to wait and it can be a bit crowded, but that's part of the experience.

One of my favourite spots in Dublin; I've been coming here for years and the food, service and atmosphere has never been less than top of the range with superb quality all around. This is an amazing find in the centre of it all in Dublin's Temple Bar area. I said to my son that I wanted a full Irish breakfast for my lunch on the last day of our holiday. He could not have found a better place! The food was amazing, The service was great and a little different where you have to order and pay for your food then go and find a table. But the staff could not be more friendly, eager to please and made our experience very special. Must try when in Dublin town.

I came here for a quick breakfast spot. Close by the hotel, and I was happy with the decision. It is tiny and quaint. It has outdoor seating. It can be loud, but it's to each one's opinion of what they consider as allowed. It can fill up quickly but is a small, quaint place again. Building, I had the pancakes and bacon, which I did remorsefully since I tried to leave pork alone, but overall, it is an excellent choice for any person who loves pork and pancakes. You have plenty of meat to go with your pancakes. You get 2 pancakes and probably 4 or 5 pieces of bacon, which are more like slices of Cooked ham. I wasn't. I'm mad at it, but I obviously could not eat all of the slices of bacon given to me. Oh my God, reservations about pork, they have other choices. Depending on what they are, your preference may be Irish foods. French foods, et cetera.

An absolute gem! If you’re looking for a delicious, authentic English breakfast, this is the place to go — no hesitation. The sausages are insanely good — juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The beans are amazing, warm and tasty with just the right touch of sweetness. And the carrot cake? Absolutely to die for. Moist, perfectly spiced, with a rich, creamy frosting… dessert heaven. What makes this spot even better is the staff — genuinely kind, friendly, and welcoming. You feel at home the second you walk in. And as a huge plus, the restaurant is proudly LGBT-friendly, with a warm, inclusive atmosphere and clear values. Love and respect all around ❤️🏳️‍🌈 Honestly, a fantastic place all around. Great place for a quick breakfast. The breakfast buttie was delicious and filling. I'm not one for these type of breakfast, but the combination of the sausage, egg and some delicious onion gem took me by surprise. I recommend that you give it a try! Also the pancakes with eggs and bacon were nice. You get a bottle of meppel syrup on the table with them. And if you get breakfast and a normal cappuccino , they make it large for your for free.

Was solo travelling in Ireland and came here for breakfast. Opened quite early which I was grateful for because this meant I was able to start my day with a decent breakfast in a quiet restaurant without the brunch crowds. A local recommended I try the breakfast buttie which I ordered. I would give it a 10/10z bread was soft, sausage was tasty, bacon was crisp and the egg was runny. Even the relish was a nice touch. It’s a big breakfast so I was able to skip lunch which gave me more time to explore the city.

Such a cute place for a quick brunch stop. Loved the atmosphere, great tunes and the staff was super duper nice. It's hard to get a table in the summer with no wait there so be prepared! Food was delicious as well, but it could be tricky if you prefer sandwiches with sauce as the ones that we tried (Chori Cheeba & Breakfast Buttie) were dryer then expected, but still tasty!:)

A good spot for brunch, enough options from light to full breakfast, the quality of food is very good and service was optimal, just the tables were small and the aisles very narrow to move along the place, but it gives it uniqueness to the place as well.

We had breakfast at Metro Café and enjoyed the relaxed vibe, especially the option for outdoor seating in the heart of Dublin. The food was decent overall, but the bap sandwiches really stood out - they were hearty, flavorful, and the best thing on the menu. I’d definitely recommend ordering one of those over other dishes. Sitting outside was a nice way to take in the city, the café had plenty of charm and is a solid spot for a casual breakfast in the city center.

Super cute spot amazing massive portions of food that taste amazing! I got the California Bagel, it was the nicest thing I'd had all weekend. Other with me had gotten the Croic Monsieur, Steak Sandwich and Breakfast of Champions the day before. They loved it so much they brought myself and other the next day. Someone else with us got the pancakes and they were super fluffy and delicious - only complaint our group had was with the pancakes the portion of maple syrup to pancakes wasn't great so he had to ask for more maple syrup only to be charged 2.50 for it; they should just have more syrup with the pancakes because it's a big stack.

Two sandwiches cost a whopping €36! That on its own should speak volumes but it's worth elaborating just how profoundly disappointing this place is. One might mistakenly think the price is warranted by some form of logic. Let me be clear: there is no form of business mental gymnastics that can provide a satisfactory answer. First, the positives, so you know that I do not troll. The space is beyond cute, it is adorable. Juniors has a simple but refined outdoor covered outdoor space that has quite an idyllic charm to it. It makes up in vibe and charm what it thoroughly lacks in real view (it really only looks onto the SPAR and pub across the road, quite grimly if you ask me). Service is middling. The waitresses are accommodating but they are dreadfully slow to prepare the food which also takes ages and comes colder than takeaway that needs to traverse the city. Considering these two criteria alone I would not rate Juniors higher than a 3. Harsh but abundantly fair. Once we tried the food and realized the price/value ratio (or lack thereof) that is unfortunately when it became apparent that a decent cratering of this otherwise bland and average outfit was required. First know that they specialize in sandwiches and brunch food and every item on the menu approaches €20 or is a few € over that threshold. The food itself is as generic as it can get. Juniors is not the first place, nor will it be the last, to make it's business model putting together very standard amalgamations of extremely cheap ingredients and passing them off as "gourmet". We were there at 1.15 (a very reasonable lunch hour) and they had already run out of their steak and chicken sandwiches (which frankly sounded the most appetizing). A pointed but not insurmountable disappointment. I ordered the Beef Brisket, kindly asking the kitchen to swap out the bagel for a ciabatta (the right choice IMO), while my partner settled on the California, also on a ciabatta instead of the bagel found on the menu. I'm fond of Beef Brisket especially considering its very humble history as an overlooked cut that would in fact often get binned. I was shocked to see Juniors pass it off as of similar value to a steak. Especially considering their Beef Brisket sandwich is 1 part brisket (very dry and overcooked), 4 parts coleslaw (another incredibly cheap to make concoction) and just a few leaves of rocket... The California similarly is nothing more than a BLT with avocado and arugula instead of the lettuce. Lazy and far from impressive if you ask me. Additional negative points would be warranted for just slapping the avocado in the sandwich with no form of treatment, adding to the total lack of flavour and enjoyability as you will often find yourself fighting against slippery motions of the single slice of avocado, trying to eat it before it has a chance to slide out. Both came with fries. I've been more impressed by frozen fries from Tesco. Overall an abysmal experience. This was also my first time visiting despite being in the area for 5 years. I will happily go another 5 years (and hopefully longer) without returning.

Amazing spot all around! Togo coffees and fresh baked pastries available, as well as sit down tables for a full menu service. High quality ingredients and fresh seasonal produce incorporated. Small market as well, with unique small batch products and sauces. Big windows with lots of light.

Love this place! It has its own unique atmosphere, a great little market, healthy food, and friendly staff. They used to have dishes that suited my taste a bit more, especially the arancini plate, which was my favorite, but the menu has changed a bit lately. Still, there are plenty of delicious options, and the overall vibe keeps me coming back.

Please keep in mind I’m a basic Texan and this food was from another planet. I had the meat sandwich. Weird ingredients and terrible flavor. My wife got the granola bowl and it was also not good. No real service as you place the order at a counter and they bring it to you. To be totally fair to the owners this appears to be a super popular place and was packed. So I blame our experience on our lack of knowledge about these dishes and flavors. But still we deemed it the worst meal of our lives.

My go-to brunch place. It has a lovely atmosphere, is dog friendly, has a tiny shop inside it. They don't take bookings, if you arrive later in the noon, you might have to queue for about 5-6 mins but it's absolutely worth it. They have a very limited menu and the food is very tasty. Their pastries and desserts are fantastic and are different every week I believe. You will always find this place buzzing in the afternoons for brunch. They stop serving food at 3 pm. Lovely place for a nice brunch with your friends or partner or even to eat alone and bring your dog 🐶

I went here more than a month ago with my friends, for the vibes of the place alone I'd give it a 10/10 but the food unfortunately did not meet my expectations, nothing wrong with it but it wasn't hitting the spot for some reason, the flavours were just okay for me personally, I ordered the vegetarian sandwich of the day which was onion fritters and mint sauce in it, as an Indian myself I'm not unfamiliar with the flavours but they could've done more with the sandwich. The staff was nice and warm as well. Again, the place isn't bad, just not for me I fear.
Aditi S — Google review
A very cozy and warm place. The staff is really friendly and courteous, the food I had (Fembally Eggs) was very delicious, as well as the orange juice and the hot chocolate! The prices could be a bite less I’d say but seeing as how many people were working and that the products were all regional and well selected & produced I can’t make that a huge critique point. After all it’s Dublin and everything is more expensive in Dublin (as it is a big city, which isn’t quite different in other European countries) tbh.. Still: Would definitely come again!😊

Another Dublin coffee and sandwich shop that is excellent. Food was well presented and tasted to the look. Ambiance is average, but clean and nice. Service was super friendly. Prices are really fair too! If you want a local lunch, brunch or breakfast while in the area, check it out!

Visited the cafe on a Saturday afternoon (during 3:30-4pm). It was a quiet time close to the end of the afternoon, yet their selection of dolce was full of variety and fabulous. I picked cheesecake with caramel that time, it was lovely with a cuppa. I think they are pretty decently priced considering how delicate they are made and their amazing taste as well as their quality aesthetics, especially in a place like Dublin. I’ll definitely go back to try more dolce cakes!

Enjoyed this breakfast place! We came here on a whim before heading out of town via Connolly Station. Their menu selection was varied, service was friendly and their food was really good! Matcha latte and smoked salmon muffin were my favorites!

A lovely spot for brunch with delicious food and friendly staff. However, we specifically chose this place for the cocktails and were a bit disappointed. We had understood that the 2-for-1 cocktail offer was available on Sundays, but it turns out it only applies if you’re seated at the counter. Since we were at a table to enjoy a meal, we couldn’t take advantage of the promotion, which was a bit frustrating. Anyway, if you are not going for the cocktails, the food was nice.

I really liked this place! Good menu, and the food was excellently prepared. We ordered bottle of wine so I will def have to come back for the cocktails. The staff was very friendly (shoutout to Stephen for a great first week!) and the vibes were cool and lively. Prices were fair, I thought.

A classic spot in Ranelagh. Great service, chilled atmosphere, beautiful music and a good menu for brunch. Quite a variety of all the right offerings given my personal taste. From oysters, to shakshouka to avocado on toast....

Excellent brunch spot, solid menu well trained staff and relaxing atmosphere. Went recently with the family and was pleasantly surprised. Traditionally known as a hip spot for the kids to brunch was worried we would be out of place but the staff were welcoming and friendly. The burger is the recommendation, while the po’ boy is tasty it lacks impact. Pancakes are dependable, but the real star of the show is the staff. Wont make it a regular thing but will definitely be back !

Excellent dinner here recently. The smaller starter dishes were probably the highlight for us. Oysters were excellent. Tuna tostadas were delicious. Great cocktails as well, and friendly service.

I came here for an early Sunday brunch with a large group of friends and a few kids. We reserved ahead and our table was ready when we arrived. The place is nice and kid friendly, however the service was bad and the food nothing to brag about. When we arrived we started with ordering coffee and we were surprised by the lack of coffee options (only black coffee is available) and the time needed to get a couple of carafes of coffee! Also the mugs provided are thick and make coffee cold. I had the crab cakes Benedict and there was so much filler that I could not feel the flavor of crab and the poached eggs had semi-hard not runny yolks.

One Society offers a delightful brunch menu that combines familiar flavors with creative twists. From classic pancakes with bacon and maple syrup to unique options like house-made pineapple, cinnamon, and vanilla compote with whipped cream, there's something for every palate. The Hangover stack is a must-try, featuring pancakes topped with bacon, ricotta cheese, spicy tabasco, sweet maple syrup, and a fried egg.
Food was delicious, i got a poached eggs on toast with halloumi, and the others got a full Irish, and a vegan breakfast for one. Would love to be back and try their other dishes as it all tasted really nice. Worked out about 15-25 euro a head for the brecci including coffee. Really friendly staff, and dog friendly aswell. Its a lovely spot of your not in a rush.

The dishes were tasty but we thought the brisket burger could have more brisket and the kale on the toast was a bit greasy. After we paid the bill the waiter stopped by again to leave a "tip card machine", saying that we didn't need to tip them but at the same time he waited for us to do it, which was awkward. I'm fine with tipping the staff but we thought it was weird asking us to do it after the check was paid for.

This place is very nice we ate outside and our server let us know straight away that the food could take 35-40 mins. In the end it disnt take that long! The food was nice, I got the breakfast and added the roasties(forget to get a picture). 6 euro for the roasties was insane considering how small the portion size was. Would definitely eat here again!

Overall great experience! The interior of the place was lovely and all the staff were super welcoming. Do check the times online as they start serving dinner at about five so we did have to wait a few minutes. I had the prawns to start which were my favourite item and the bruschetta was also great. Pizzas were tasty but my brother wasn’t a huge fan of his Parma pizza. Would visit again for brunch as the menu looked yummy.
Ailbhe F — Google review
It was good, the sourdough bread was nicely toasted, tomatoes and eggs were nice but didn’t taste any cheese and I didn’t like the sides. Roasties were soft but hard , like al dente ?? not crispy :(:(:( bap was good but tasted just like a bap. Chai lattes are very good 👍 Reasonably priced, menu mentions the allergies next to the item!! So clever. All food tasted fresh. Staff are lovely. There was a little wait to get seated, very busy. Nice spot. One society eggs - Sourdough bread with melted cheddar and chilli, sweet peppers with basil & spring onion, balsamic cherry tomatoes, 2 poached eggs, spicy red pepper hummus & smashed pea purée with roasties. Breakfast bap - Sausage, smoked bacon, smoked black pudding, sliced tomato with a gooey fried egg in a soft brioche bun drizzled in tomato ketchup, garlic mayo and HP sauce. 2 x chai tea lattes (beautiful btw, cinnamon tea. Chefs kiss💋) Over €20pp for food and juice / hot drinks
Leigha L — Google review
One of the worst Iced Matcha Latte’s I’ve ever had. Sadly, they do not make it with authentic Matcha - they use a sweetened syrup instead, and this was not disclosed by the sweet barista when I ordered the drink. The service is nice, but you should really get a proper Matcha or remove it from the menu.

Insanely amazing food! I was taken aback when our meal was brought to the table! The pasta was some of the best I’ve ever had outside of Italy and our pizza was made to perfection in a wood fired oven. Amazing find with a delicious assortment of baked goods and espresso drinks. The line held steady outside the door throughout our visit. We also saw the pastry chef measuring out butter for her next recipie as we left. Highly reccomend!

We came here with the hope of having some great pastries. Unfortunately we found them not as good as expected. Probably it was a matter of personal taste, but both the cinnamon roll and the chocolate thing we tried were good but nothing extraordinary. On the other hand, we bought a large sourdough bread which was great! For bread I definitely recommend this place! For pastries maybe you will find them better that we did. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere is quite nice. Overall it’s a good place for breakfast!

Bread 41 is where craftsmanship meets creativity. A buzzing Dublin bakery turning simple ideas into pure flavour. The sourdough is exceptional, the Cruffin irresistibly flaky, the Savory Croissant rich and inventive, and the Sausage Roll easily among the city’s best. Coffee’s on point, staff are upbeat, and the atmosphere hums with local charm. It gets busy and prices reflect the quality, but every bite reminds you why it’s worth the hype.

This is a stunning place and extraordinary bake foods buffet. Chose anything it’s simply elevated standards - homely but fresh and innovative. Loved the croissant, bread butter pudding, chouxin. I literally stumbled into this place and what a great place. ❤️❤️❤️

Bread 41 is amazing! The pastries are so tasty and fresh, and the coffee is honestly the best I’ve had in a while. The staff are super friendly, and I love the big shared tables — such a great vibe. The line was out the door, but it moved fast and was totally worth it!

I was really looking forward to visiting Bread 41! As soon as I got there, I queued up and grabbed some bread and coffee. Luckily, there were still a few seats left inside. I tried the custardo, salted caramel knot, and almond croissant. Maybe my expectations were too high, but although the bread wasn’t bad, I was a bit disappointed because it didn’t have that rich buttery flavor I was hoping for. The Americano was a little pricey, but since other drinks were the same price, I think trying something else next time might be a better deal. ☕️🥐
HJ H — Google review
The products are truly good and definitely worth trying. The problem, however, is that the service is extremely poorly managed. The staff is unbelievably slow, and that’s the real reason for the long line — not because there are too many customers. We went there on our first day and the wait was absolutely ridiculous, for no valid reason at all. Then we went back on our last day because we had to return the reusable cups to get our deposit back (since they don’t use disposable ones). Again, we waited about 20 minutes even though there were only two people ahead of us — it took them ages to prepare just a couple of simple drinks. When I got to the counter, the guy tried to fit a giant cinnamon roll into a tiny paper bag that was obviously too small and started tearing it apart. I asked politely for a bigger one, and he said they only had boxes — so I told him to just give me a box. I mean, I’m paying five euros for a cinnamon roll; you can’t hand it to me in a ripped bag. Then, to make things worse, there was total confusion at the register. I was supposed to get ten euros back and pay €10.75, so I should’ve just given them the 75 cents difference. But since they didn’t have change, I had to pay for the croissants by card and then get the ten euros back in cash. It was honestly absurd and completely disorganized. Unfortunately, having an excellent product isn’t enough to make a business successful.

Hong Kong style fast food restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Dublin, Hong Kong Wonton is a delightful eatery that opened its doors in December 2024. This charming spot, with seating for just 16 guests, offers an authentic taste of Asia right on Fade Street. The menu features three signature wonton flavors, prominently showcasing the classic pork and prawn wontons—a beloved staple from Hong Kong.
The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Hong Kong-style pork chop with fried rice, and the portion was very generous with plenty of meat. I also had the coconut red bean drink—it was delicious, creamy, and full of coconut flavor. The Hong Kong-style French toast was simply incredible. On top of that, the staff were extremely kind and interactive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend! :)

I tried the 5 spice beef brisket noodle soup. The broth was very good, the noodles were ok.. but the beef was quite low quality. I make a lot of briskets on my barbecue so I know what beef brisket tastes like.. and this was not brisket. It tasted more like round steak or some lean cheap cut. The beef was tender and braised properly.. but it was very low quality beef.. like stringy and a cheap beef flavour. It was still enjoyable.. the service was very good and the shop is clean.

Hong Kong Woton brings the real taste of authentic Hong Kong comfort food to Dublin! The Hong Kong–style French toast is absolutely amazing — perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, just like the ones you’d get in Hong Kong. The wontons are also delicious and full of flavor. The iced lemon tea is refreshing, though a bit on the sweet side for my taste. They keep playing Cantonese songs in the background, which creates such a great Hong Kong vibe. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for anyone craving genuine Hong Kong flavors!

I love it here! I was craving for dumplings and congee and I heard that the food here was good, so went here! And delicious indeed! I ordered the wonton in chili sauce, chicken congee, pak choi and the hong kong iced coffee. I thought I’ll be able to finish it but the servings were very generous! I like every dish, especially the wonton. And the iced coffee was sooo soo good! I will visit again that’s for sure.

A little wonton and noddles shop in central Dublin. We were in a hot soup mood in this cold evening, so we popped in for some chicken and wonton noodle soup. We added an order of egg rolls and some bok choy. Really hit the spot! Small place, limited seating and can get loud when crowded.
Gus F — Google review
Visited twice and tried the wonton noodles with soup on my first visit, quite authentic and enjoyable. On my second visit, I ordered the “Lo Mein,” which traditionally comes with a small bowl of soup on the side. However, I was told by a staff member who, interestingly, isn’t from Hong Kong, that it shouldn’t be served that way. Having eaten this dish for nearly 40 years, I found it quite surprising to be told I was wrong about something so familiar from my own culture. An interesting experience, to say the least.

Solid 5. Cant find any fault on them. Food was amazing. We have veg/murshoom wonton, true to its roots of dumpling, chucks of mushroom and all unlike other resto that uses store bought frozen dumplings. Pork chop was filling and generous, tasty and crunchy. And the star of the meal was French toast. Its the best in Dublin for me. Will come back even just for the french Toast. Will bring friends next time.

Respectfully Andy Has to be said …… Nice little cafe . But Not impressed with the food . Bit disappointed that the staff actually presented us with what was obviously stale reheated hard oil soaked hash brown . The veg and leaves with it were old and stale also . And I asked for sauce on the side which was not on the side - it was in a dish in the middle of my plate taking up half the space .so basically a tiny portion . And at there prices I would expect more . We got one drink each off the bill for this . But when the staff brought the replacement hash brown - it wasn’t much better . The coffee was lovely First visit . Not sure about a return .

Nestled along the picturesque Grand Canal Basin, Mackenzie's is a chic dining destination that beautifully marries style with a vibrant American-inspired menu. This trendy eatery boasts an eye-catching design feature—a whimsical upturned rowboat suspended from the ceiling—paying homage to its scenic surroundings. Lovely restaurant. We were there with our friends and families for my niece's birthday brunch. The atmosphere was great, although my niece didn’t really like their pizza and chips. I had a burger with chips (though the chips were really salty, so I asked for a plain one instead). I loved their cocktails—really amazing. The service wasn’t bad either, except that one of the staff members had a rather rigid facial expression after I called her to place my order. I didn’t feel comfortable asking her for anything else, so I asked someone else instead. But overall, I’d still recommend it—it’s a nice place.

I went here for a company event and it went over my expectations. The atmosphere was quite cozy and the service was absolutely amazing. I got a chicken parmigiana and the calamari. The calamari was okay, not great, but the chicken parmigiana was absolutely amazing - I'm Mediterranean and this had the best ham I've had since moving to Ireland. Thomas was great! Overall highly recommend for a great fine dining experience that isn't too expensive.

Good restaurant. Was there with my office colleague. Quantity of food is too much. So make sure your appetite is really great 😃 Overall a good experience . Definitely worth a visit when in dublin Had plenty of seating arrangements when we visited. Good drink options

Came to Mackenzie’s for a brunch date with a friend. The server Pedro was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed! He also gave us great food and drink recommendations. Really enjoyed our time here and we will be back.

Made a reservation and was promptly brought to our table. Menus are small enough but the varied selection of food was great. I had the fish and chips and they were delicious! Chips were massive and a perfect sized portion. Others in my party had smoked cheese burger and a steak, they enjoyed their dishes too! We all had room for a dessert so, some had the apple crumble. I had the ice cream and it was delicious. Staff were very friendly and I would return!

My husband and I went to Mackenzies to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful experience! We chose seafood and each of us ordered a different dish: I had the Seabass and my husband had the Monkfish. Both dishes were absolutely perfect very flavorful, well prepared, and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients and the balance of flavors truly stood out. But what made our evening even more special was the service provided by our waiter, Pedro. What an incredible professional! He was attentive, polite, friendly, and highly competent. He took great care of us from start to finish with genuine hospitality. He showed excellent knowledge of the menu and even recommended a fantastic cocktail for us , and it was a perfect choice! It had been a long time since we had such a complete dining experience. Pleasant atmosphere, exceptional food, and service that really makes a difference. We left extremely satisfied and we will definitely return. Highly recommended!

Korean restaurant
Chimac Aungier St is a popular casual dining spot known for its fusion of Korean fried chicken and Irish craft beer. The menu features a variety of options, including the Good Good burger with twice-fried free-range chicken, ssamjang and cheddar cheese sauce, honey and jalapeno relish, and habanero mayo.
Stopped by Chimac for dinner and had a tough time choosing because everything sounded incredible. I decided on the K Buffalo wings special and Kimcheese fries. The wings were bursting with flavour—the batter was perfectly seasoned, and the sauce brought a nice kick. My only issue was they didn’t quite have that classic buffalo taste, leaning more toward a Korean hot sauce flavour. Still, they were absolutely delicious. As for the fries, the combination of kimchi and cheese sauce was spot on—bold, tangy, and totally satisfying. Huge thanks to Beatriz for the fantastic service!

I came in on a rainy afternoon for lunch and got a classic chicken sandwich and a beer. I have spent plenty of time in southeast United States and have been working on perfecting my own fried chicken. The sandwich was perfect aside from the temperature I received it. I want a sandwich hot, not warmed from a second fry. Aside from that the visit was fantastic. Everything tasted delicious and the service to myself and everyone around me was incredibly attentive. Amazing crispy chicken, I just prefer mine too hot to eat when I first get it so I can allow it to cool to my desired temperature.

We had the best experience ever! On our first day in Dublin we had dinner here. We ordered almost everything on the menu and truly enjoyed every single dish. The classic crispy chicken burger was the crispiest chicken I ever ate. The buns are so soft and the sauce is perfectly balanced. The crispy chicken wings were very nice and we loved the sauce, so we got one for home as well 🥹😍 the staff is very nice and it is a very nice place. We enjoyed it a lot and will hopefully visit again before leaving Dublin!! The wait staff was very appreciative and attentive!!

Simply amazing. The chicken is cooked to perfection and the flavors leave you taste buds crying for more. The poutine is something I could eat all day. Amazing job putting together what I'd say is the best chicken option in Dublin and certainly the best chicken based meal I have ever had.

10/10 experience here at Chimac!! The food is always delicious. I got the Good Good burger and my friend for the K-BBQ Burger. We shared the poutine fries and they were so flavourful! Juan was so helpful when deciding on which food to get! Would definitely recommend this place😊!

Ginos is an Italian ice cream parlour that has locations all around the city centre. They offer classic gelato with plenty of variety, as well as excellent milkshakes, crepes, and waffles. The 90 South Georges Street location is the best of the bunch, with plenty of seating and a funky interior that will make you smile.
The moment you walk by, the wonderful aroma pulls you in. Even if there’s a long line, don’t worry—the staff is super fast and efficient. You’ll be enjoying what might be the best ice cream in Dublin in just five minutes. Mint chocolate was my favorite
Burak T — Google review
Gino’s Gelato was highly rated on Google. The mango and coconut vegan gelatos were wonderful. Also, the pistachio and Dubai chocolate made a great pair as well.

Great gelato! My husband and I visited twice during our stay in Dublin. This location was near our hotel. I enjoyed the pistachio and milk chocolate, and a dark chocolate. I added chopped hazelnuts to mine and felt they were generous. My husband enjoyed black Forrest, caramel and cheesecake flavors. We did get ours in cups because it was pretty warm. Grab a couple napkins to hold you gelato container because they are generous with the amount and a little can run down the side before you eat down to the container level. Highly recommend. Service is pretty quick.
April W — Google review
I honestly found this place very disappointing. The prices are way too high for what you actually get. I ordered vanilla ice cream, but it had almost no flavor at all – very bland. We also tried the White Ferrari crêpe, which was undercooked and looked unappetizing after just a couple of bites. The whipped cream wasn’t sweet and even seemed curdled. On top of that, the staff weren’t friendly and acted as if they didn’t want to be there. Overall, not an experience I’d recommend, and I wouldn’t go back.

The ice cream was good, I recommend the raspberry flavor. However, I wouldn't say it is the best ice cream I've had in Dublin. Nice store 👌 but little expensive. But there are many groceries which you can not find at other stores. I like their Lindt chocolate selection 😋. In 4 euro you can get 8 chocolates 🍫 of your choice. This is the main thing i visit this store. Also they have small lindt packs of 2.3 euros having 3 chocolates which is good for gifting 🎁.

Ready meals by DF are a total rip off. Rice with sauce and 3 small chunks of chicken equating to a quarter of an average size chicken breast. At a guess including packaging it costs max €1.50 to produce, selling 2 for €12. Have some respect for your customers intelligence and add a respectable amount of meat and vegetables to your dishes.
Suzanne M — Google review
The cafe in Donny brook fair opens earlier than other cafes so I decided to order ice matcha latte before work. It was €5.95 for ice while the hot matcha latte was around €4. I understand ice drinks being more expensive but extra €2 is asking bit much. Especially because it just tasted like ice milk and the colour of the drink looks vile to be called matcha. The barista was nice tho.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience when I recently visited this place to buy my child an ice cream. The ice cream was clearly melting and messy when handed over, and to my surprise, there were no napkins available at all. Instead, they wrapped a piece of blue cleaning roll—something I’ve seen them use before for cleaning—to give to us. It felt very unhygienic and unprofessional, especially for a food service establishment. I truly hope they take food hygiene and basic customer care more seriously going forward.

Beautiful food and wine, all beautifully presented! They have an abundance of fresh veg, pastries, bread, salads, cheese, meat, and fish. They also do pre-made dinners which are really handy and absolutely delicious – I recommend the fish pie. They also have loads of snack bits like crackers and biscuits, and there's a huge wine section at the back with really helpful staff – it's even great just for a browse to be honest!

Asked for an iced americano only to be charged the price of an iced latte, an uncharge of over €1.50. Ridiculous, can’t conceive the need to charge extra for a drink that should realistically not even cost €3, let alone €4.95 for a drink with no milk.

Assassination Custard is a hidden gem in Dublin, known for its intimate setting and dedication to fresh, local produce. The restaurant, run by the husband-and-wife team Ken and Gwen, sources ingredients from the nearby market and crafts Mediterranean-inspired dishes like chickpea fritters and Sicilian caponata. Despite its small size and limited opening hours, it has gained recognition for its ever-changing menu that highlights Irish ingredients.
Completely fantastic. Simple, unassuming dishes with intense flavours. Get one of everything (if you can)! Arrive as early as you can, as there are only 10 seats in the place, and they fill up quickly. Assassination Custard is an absolute experience - one everyone should try at least once!
Lisa B — Google review
After seeing some chatter about the smallest restaurant in Dublin, I wanted to taste it for myself. The menu is concise and ingredient driven with about 10 items. Wines were by the glass and we started with a Txakoli and then a lighter Nebbioli. We had 8 of the dishes offeres today and had the Chef Ken and his wife Gwen bring them out as they saw fit. The clean flavors and quality ingredients was apparent from the start. Come with a great attitude and an open mind if you can reserve 1 of the 8 seats availble. It is an experience worthy of anyone who loves food. Cheers.

The term hidden gem gets thrown around a lot but this is the biggest hidden, in fact extra hidden gem I've come across in Dublin. I first thought I was in the wrong place as I opened the door with newspapers covering up the window. The variety of dishes reminded me of the famous Trastevere restaurant district in Rome; Italian dishes mixed with Middle Eastern. The menu seems to change daily and is scribled on a piece of paper which the chef explains to you. It's 3x dishes per person and we tried 7x which were all bursting with flavour and originality. Sweet, savoury, oily, salty, spicy for a full umami experience. Will definitely be back to try more of these creative and unorthodox combinations.
Andy K — Google review
The flavours are literally vaulting off the small plates and exploding over your taste buds. Fabulous fabulous food and very attentive and friendly service from two hard working culinary wizards. Aim to get there a while before the noon opening to stand a chance to get on a table. .

Delicious, excellent, considered ingredients and friendly crew. The cherry pie transported me back fifty years. Feel good food.
Finian F — Google review
A real hidden gem cafe in the south of Dublin. Completely unassuming but fabulous food and despite featuring on TV and in papers hasn’t let stardom go to its head. There are only ten seats over two tables and you can’t book - so it’s pot luck if you will be able to get in - and you will almost certainly end up sharing a table. Which all adds to the interest of the experience. It’s not cheap (lunch was €90 for six courses plus two deserts and coffee for two) but worth every cent. Highly recommended.
Adam D — Google review
Really great - simple, well composed, delicious dishes. The entrance would be easy to miss, hidden away on a side street, and it’s a very understated setting. But the cooking here is brilliant and there’s a lovely laidback atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and service is warm without being overbearing.
Olivier S — Google review
Careful with this one. You'll likely consume a dish that a few days later you'll really yearn to have again. Mussels with fried sage was it for me. Wow. Only 9 seats so queue up early or be disappointed.

Scoop Dessert Parlour Aungier is a popular ice cream shop with multiple locations in Ireland, including one in Dublin's Ranelagh neighborhood and another on Aungier Street. The parlour offers a wide variety of cold treats and sweets, from sundaes to gelato sandwiches to milkshakes.
I had this place on my list for a while now and finally went there. There are a lot of types of stuff and I ordered just a simple scoop of Sicilian Pistachio. Now I did read a review where someone didn't like the saltyness in it but I found it alright after a bit. Moreover, you can try the flavour before buying 🤗. The folks working here are nice and friendly and I did enjoy the gelato cone. It was alright, might try something else again 🤗.

Visited on a Thursday evening and asked to sample mint. I wanted two different flavors cause it was good, but I wanted two different ones and they told me no. Why can't I have 2 different flavors? What's the issue. I would have paid extra if that was the issue. Not sure if that's an Irish custom if it is it's odd.
Nuria N — Google review
It is a nice place and apparently a chain with a few branches. I have to admit, looking at it, the ice cream didn’t look very fresh. But we decided to give it a try and it was really good. I had the peanut butter chocolate and it was good. The cone itself felt fresh and it’s important and my friends were happy with their choices as well. So definitely give it a try.
Dana B — Google review
Came for the vegan options and returned for them too! So much flavor without any of the dairy. Did try the dairy flavors too though and they were also good. The to-go containers made for a solid deal if you need to feed a bigger group. The parlour scoopers ran a tight shift as well!

Went there and found love in gelato again. The madagascan vanilla and pistachio was an incredible combo and I am over the moon with my dessert. The only knock against this experience is that the "bowl" I had was the papery "cone" that tasted pretty bad. Not enough to reduce the rating though!

Note Dublin is a popular wine bar and restaurant that has quickly gained attention in 2022. The establishment offers a bustling atmosphere with an engaging wine list featuring natural wines from small producers. The menu is inspired by Parisian bistros, offering dishes like chicken-liver choux buns and nettle tagliatelle with pecorino and egg yolk.
No doubt one of the best restaurants in Dublin, I've been here 4 or 5 times and it's been exquisite every time. Note combines European/French style gastronomy with seasonal Irish ingredients to produce a really special experience. Really cool vibe inside too with nice design and music to match. Would recommend: Beef Tartare Rosti, and whatever pasta dishes they have, they're always good. This time was the Cavatelli with St Tola cheese and broad beans.
Tom W — Google review
I found the food very good but honestly a bit on the expensive side. We chose the group menu which provided better value for money. You get 3 appetizers to share, 2 sides to share, 1 starter & 1 main à la carte and finally 1 dessert. The food is good and so is the wine. Be careful because the glasses are not the usual size that you would normally find in Dublin. Personnel was nice but they got quite confused, repeatedly, when we got in. I didn't like instead how we got welcomed when we entered the restaurant, even if we had a reservation. I found the first reaction a bit rude.
Francesco B — Google review
While the food here is good and beautifully presented, the high prices set an expectation for something more exceptional. You might find similar quality dishes elsewhere for less. The beef tartare and duck breast, while decent and well cooked, are common starter and main course choices that didn't stand out. The starter portions were quite small, so ordering several might be necessary to feel satisfied. The must try dish for me(if you end up going anyway) is the beef tongue salad. I'm writing this review several weeks after my visit. The flavor is still memorable—the cheese paired perfectly with the beef tongue. For dessert, I ordered rum baba and raisin ice cream. The baba was overly saturated with rum, resulting in a very soft and soggy texture. Additionally, baba taste bitter than I expected. Too much alcoholic taste. FYI, a service charge will be added to the bill.

Overall experience was very nice. We were in 3 and had such a great night. The team was absolutely friendly and the atmosphere cozy and pleasant. Maybe prices might be a little high but I would say is the average for Dublin city. I would recommend a visit!

My Mum had been gifted a voucher for here so we booked lunch for the first time. We ordered the set 3 course limited lunch menu as there were no other options excluding snacks of focaccia or oysters. We chose a bottle of white wine from Puglia priced at €40 to share (2nd cheapest on the menu: overall limited value to be found on the wine menu). There is a discretionary 12.5% service charge added to the bill. We were charged €4 for two bottles of still water. We didn't ask for the second bottle and weren't informed there was a charge for the still water then we were charged a further service charge on top of that. The restaurant wasn't busy and has an uppity feel but did have some tables occupied at 2pm on a Friday afternoon. The set lunch menu was €32 per person which on paper looks good value. To start there was a waldorf salad (no other choice). It was tasty especially with the blue cheese and dressing. However, it was awkward to eat as the chicory (I think) was sword shaped. For mains, I chose the cavatelli in brodo with hedgehog mushrooms. It was tasty but I have eaten far better pasta dishes. I also got to try what my Mum ordered: pork collar with celeriac remoulade. Again flavourful but an incomplete dish if you don't order a side. For dessert, we were given the rhubarb fool (no other choice). Very tasty, however I was looking at this menu as a Speech and Language Therapist trained in managing swallowing difficulties and the limited menu had a high proportion of high risk foods (IDDSI) in terms of how they were presented eg the sword shaped chicory, the stringy apple, walnuts and the thick fibrous rhubarb stalks. I had a knife to cut up and modify the salad but didn't have a knife to cut the rhubarb stalks in the dessert and the spoon didn't cut it adequately. Perhaps something for the chef to consider so that food can be safer and managed more elegantly. There are other options in Dublin which I will explore the next time in terms of food choices and value.

Lovely dinner at Note, with quality wines, friendly service, and delicious food. The ambiance is a bit more casual than the fine plates are befitting of.

Food was decent enough, with some dishes more memorable than others. Service was not great. Server didn't come for ages, forgot a simple drink order, inattentive with refilling water. The host/ manager was pretty poor about coat and bag handling for the prices being charged, in terms of the notions of the place. Having over 6 people we were charged an automatic Service charge, which is fair but also limited to the set menu which was not expected, as we expected to be able to order off the a la carte menu. I won't be returning.

Went here for paddys day. We ordered 2 sundaes and 2 cocktails. The milkybar sundae was very plain, might I suggest add something like strawberries, caramel sauce, rice krispie chocolate mix or marshmallows or something. Also, upon looking at other recent reviews, we definitely got smaller portions of the sundaes, and the presentation was not great. The Kinder sundae was missing marshmallows and the milkybar sundae was missing shaved milkybar. The sundaes are suitable to share as they’re very filling! Some things on their socials can’t be found on the menu even if they were posted recently. Saw a big mozzarella stick advertised on tiktok but did not see it in the menu at all unfortunately. In fact, there were many things even on their online menu that weren’t in the menu given to us on the day. The cocktails we had were the Loop the Loop and the Tropical Breeze. The LTL was lovely, but I found the tropical breeze too sweet to start and ended up being sour towards the bottom. I was more expecting it to be like a shaved ice cocktail but it was more liquidy. Service was okay given the day that was in it. But the music was WAY too loud, to the point of inducing anxiety. It was too loud to talk or order anything. And this was at 5/6pm, which is pretty early. We didn’t get any savoury food as we weren’t hungry enough for dinner but it smelled amazing. That being said, I would definitely visit again but definitely not on Paddys Day!

Terrible Aperol Spritz. Cost me €12.50, and it tasted like plain water. The color was pale and murky — like Aperol barely touched the glass. No flavor, no aroma — just a weak, watery mess. When I politely asked the bartender to fix it, they gave me a clearly annoyed look and just splashed in more Aperol. No stirring, no care. They insisted it was “normal”, but anyone who’s had a proper Aperol Spritz can tell by the color — it was not. This was not an Aperol. It was a joke in a glass. Waste of money. Never coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Not worth a trip, their socials make it out better than it is. (Menu limits on Sunday). We had the Beef Nachos that barley had any beef and were very watery for some reason, the Boneless Chicken Bites were nice but dip was too runny, the Veggie Sizzler was ok but nothing better than you could make at home and the Paddocks Burger which is massive was only ok, I’ve had way better elsewhere. It cost us €80 and it’s not worth it in my opinion. All in all we went because of the hype but ended up leaving feeling really disappointed.

The Woollen Mills is a historic riverside establishment in Dublin, offering a relaxed dining experience with a rooftop terrace. Situated near the iconic Hapenny Bridge, it serves traditional Irish comfort food such as coddle and mackerel from the north coast. Choosing a dinner venue in Dublin from the States can be a daunting task, but Wollen Mills Restaurant made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free for our recent private dinner. From our initial inquiry, their team was incredibly responsive and attentive, ensuring seamless communication across multiple time zones. They went above and beyond to create a customized menu that perfectly suited our preferences and dietary needs, showcasing the best of Irish cuisine. We ordered starter wings nachos and 2 sides of chips plus two alcoholic drinks. Chips were good, but we got 3 different sauces and I'm not exaggerating when I say they all tasted the same. The nachos where also pretty awful, soggy and unseasoned, if I wanted a bowl of soup I would have ordered it I would have cut my losses and moved on if they didn't charge us a 10% mandatory service charge that wasn't disclosed anywhere. We were two people, the restourant was half empty, it's standard to disclose mandatory tips, what a way to scam people into paying when you never gave them an opportunity to decide. Not only that who charges 20€ for a starter portion of nachos, especially when the menu said 16€??? 76euro for a little snack and a drink in the sun 💀💀💀 never again (chips were good tho, not mandatory 10% service charge good)

The food was okay. Our server was a lady who perhaps was having a bad day. She seemed a bit irritated the whole time we were there. We say " good aftenoon", she gives us a blank stare. We say " thank you," she responds "eh.". And the bill comes with a mandatory 10% tip.

The Rating System Needs a Zero-Star Option to suit this place. Google should seriously rethink the rating system and offer an option for zero stars, because that is exactly what this kind of establishment deserves. While the waitress was friendly, her good service couldn't compensate for the fact that the food was utterly disgusting. We were staying at the nearby Motel One and had overslept breakfast, so we stopped here to grab a quick bite. I ordered the "Burrata, courgettes, tomato pesto & pea vinaigrette." What arrived was simply the usual round piece of burrata decorated with the some ingredients (completely unsuitable taste wise) nothing more. Not even bread was served initially. The flavor combination was absolutely disgusting. Even with the bread, which we had to ask for, the dish was completely inedible. The ambiance advertised on the webpage is completely misleading. At least where we were seated, the style was perhaps meant to be "shabby-chic," but in reality, the place looks rather trashy, from the floor to the walls. "Cheap" is the right description. My husband's beef sandwich had nothing to do with a traditional beef sandwich. He described the flavor as prepackaged, and the beef itself was barely noticeable inside the ciabatta bread. We were charged for the sandwich despite both of us trying it and leaving the entirety of the food untouched on our plates. I have no idea how this place has survived so far with all the competition around. God bless the person who created this kitchen menu, and good luck.

I made the reservation after checking the website and to be honest: i was expecting more. It is an ok place at a great loacation.the food is not impressive but it’s ok. They have two vegan options for the main: a burger and a dahl. The burger was nice (beet and carrot patty) but overpriced.

We visited as a party of six and were seated outside in October. The food wasn’t hot, service was minimal, and we had to track someone down to pay the bill. When we questioned the 12.5% service charge, it was reluctantly removed & the receipt was even dropped into an uncleared dessert bowl, which made me laugh despite the poor service. When my dad asked to split the bill, staff handed him a calculator rather than helping. For a restaurant displaying multiple customer service awards, the experience felt disappointing, and the food (€26 pasta) didn’t justify the price.

Brunch restaurant
Argentinian restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Alma is a charming café in Portobello that has been serving up delightful brunch classics with an Argentinean twist for almost four years. The family-owned establishment offers a cozy and intimate setting, with minimalistic yet attractive interior design. Their menu features a fusion of Argentine flavors and local Irish ingredients, resulting in both familiar and innovative dishes.
Our group of 3 ate brunch here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We hadn’t booked and it was busy but they quickly found us room on the communal table upstairs. We didn’t have to wait long to have our orders taken, or for our drinks and food to arrive. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was beautifully plated and delicious. Total bill including coffees €71.95. I would happily recommend. Thank you!
Lydia A — Google review
We were looking forward to trying Alma for ages, as there is a lot of hype for it! But unfortunately it really didn’t live up to the hype. We were in early at around 9 am so it was quiet, but yet when our breakfast came it was cold. The breakfast looked asthetically pleasing and the flavours were there, but it was cold, the eggs were hard and the bread was rock solid! We weren’t asked once by the waiter how our food was etc. and quite frankly I don’t think he would have cared. We paid €22 each for our breakfast and coffee, and therefore we were really expecting better. I have read a good few reviews now (that I wish I read before coming) and I really would suggest to go somewhere else, unless they take their reviews on board and try to improve! On a good note the coffee was delicious and the setting is super nice too.
Nessa B — Google review
When you visit a place that is habitually very busy, to the extent of queues waiting, you kind of think “is it really that good?”. Well, in this case the answer is a definite “yes”. We rang ahead to see if there was a table available (there was), so no problem with waiting. A really good menu – very hard to choose from the delicious sounding options – and the food itself certainly delivered. Very tasty dishes, prepared by someone who really understands flavours, colours and textures and how to combine. The food was all exceptionally good. Add in the friendly service and great coffee, it’s easy to see why this place is so popular. Highly recommended.
Brendan M — Google review
I'm really 50/50 about this experience, and I think I'm speaking on behalf of my friends too – because we genuinely loved the food. It was exceptional. The coffee was okay – I mean, Ireland generally knows its coffee, and it's rare to find a place where the coffee isn't at least decent. That said, a few things really took away from what could’ve been a great visit. I arrived about 10 minutes late, while my friends were already there. I ordered my coffee right after arriving – and repeated my order three times just to be clear. Still, the barista tried to hand me an Americano a minute later. I assume it was very loud in the café, so I can understand that she might not have heard me properly. However, after we ordered our food, it arrived about 15 minutes later – but I was still waiting for my coffee and the orange juices that I and one of my friends had ordered. I only got my coffee once I had already started eating, even though several guests who came in after us received their drinks much quicker and as a group. Then, the part that really disappointed us: while I was still eating, we were handed the bill and asked to pay right away. We'd only been there for about an hour total – including the time we spent waiting for food and drinks. People were waiting outside for tables, sure – but is it really acceptable to rush out paying customers who are clearly still eating? To make matters worse, the two guests seated behind us had arrived before us, had finished eating, and were calmly enjoying their second coffee without being asked to pay. Another group outside, who had also already eaten, were still being served dessert and were left undisturbed. So why were we singled out and rushed? We had planned to order dessert too and enjoy a relaxed morning – not to feel like we were in some kind of military dining hall. I’ve worked in cafés myself and know how busy and hectic it can get, especially during peak hours. But we had a reservation, and at the very least, guests should be given around 90 minutes to enjoy their meal without being made to feel unwelcome. It's basic hospitality. I didn't even finish my coffee – it was still warm when they began clearing my friends’ plates. We all agreed: no matter how good the food was, we won’t be returning. Even in small, packed cafés in Germany – or even in much less affluent countries – it’s normal to inform waiting guests about the expected wait, and they’ll either come back or wait outside. Some places even take drink orders in advance to make the wait smoother. That’s good hospitality. This wasn’t the first time we felt rushed in Ireland, but I truly hope things will improve – because experiences like this can really ruin what should be a lovely outing.

Great brunch place. No fault in the food and the drinks. The food was very yummy! Portions are nice and big too! Would definitely come back. It's a small space though and gets quite busy so it was a little hard to hear each other. Servers seemed a bit harried but they were responsive and service was fast. Since they're so busy you do have a limited time at the table but it would've been nice if they offered more grace telling us this, not just showing up at the table with the card machine and didn't even give us the bill beforehand lol

Gino's Gelato is a renowned ice cream parlor with multiple locations in Dublin and across Ireland. It offers an extensive selection of classic Italian gelato, along with delicious milkshakes, crepes, and waffles. The flagship store at 90 South Georges Street boasts a vibrant interior and ample seating for visitors to enjoy their treats. With its widespread popularity, Gino's has become a go-to spot for ice cream enthusiasts during warm weather.
Have to say, this is THE BEST ice cream in Dublin! I tried so many ice cream places and this is my favorite. The ice cream is soft! Fulled with flavor, no matter what flavor you order. There are so many options and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Also a great place to sit and enjoy the deliciousness of their treats. My family also tried their waffles and they loved them. Amazing place!

The selection of ice cream for our milkshakes was very small. It was possibly due to the time of year (mid-October), but they tasted very good. We were the only customers in the store, so it felt a little empty, but again that was probably due to the time of year.

Absolutely delicious gelato! I had the Dubai Chocolate and it was incredible: smooth and flavourful. Wonderful!

At Gino's, our ice cream experience was nothing short of delightful. The vanilla ice cream I had was simple yet satisfying, while my sons raved about their Belgian chocolate and mint flavors. The quirky half-moped seats added a fun touch to our dining experience, which my sons absolutely adored. The speed at which we were served was impressive, and the staff's friendly demeanour made us feel right at home. Gino's is a place where delicious ice cream and warm hospitality come together effortlessly.

A very nive Gino shop. This shop has plenty of seats 💺 and is amazing 👏. They also have delicious crepe and also a savoury crepe. Their ice-creams are great and I like their scooter setup for taking pictures. You can taste the ice-cream and can go with 1 scoop or 2 or 3. Also they ask if you want ice-cream in cup or cone. I like the ice-cream here and nice store 😋

Very nice spot with good food and deserts. We've had Eggs Benedict and the Anderson Full breakfast and it was really nice. We loved the bread but the only thing is that you get very little of it and thats the only reason I'm giving it 4 starts. The coffee was also nice. Everything came very quickly even though the place was busy enough. This place is not the place which you will stumble apon. It is well hidden in the housing estate just off the Griffith Avenue in Glasnevin with a very lovely outside terrace when the weather is nice. The inside is beautiful as well. We've also had the deserts but I didn't catch the name of the cakes. They were lovely

This restaurant definitely deserves 5 stars. The food is so so good and tasty. The staff is very friendly and professional, excellent service. It’s one of the best restaurants we’ve been in Dublin. Eaton 6W: Comfort and Flavor in the Right Measure Nestled in a discreet corner, Eaton 6W offers a dining experience that prioritizes comfort and quality service. The cozy and well-decorated ambiance invites guests to enjoy an unhurried meal, where every detail seems carefully designed to create a pleasant atmosphere. The service is efficient and courteous, with attentive staff who strike a rare yet welcome balance between availability and discretion. The menu, though not extensive, is well-curated, ensuring that each dish maintains a satisfying level of quality. The flavors are pleasant and well-executed, though they lack the extraordinary elements that could elevate the experience to a truly exceptional level. Eaton 6W is undoubtedly a good retreat for those seeking a well-prepared meal in a welcoming setting, but it may not be the go-to destination for those in search of something truly unforgettable in the culinary scene. We keep coming back here, because the food quality is so consistantly excellent! My favourite has been the butternut squash risotto, but the menu seems to change regularly, so I've had something different every time and it has been sensational. The staff are very kind and professional and have even remembered us from coming back so often. The only thing thing to note is that in the evening the food wait times were a bit longer than I would expect, but for sure worth the wait.

Everyone left with happy faces and full tummies. Thanks to all at Eaton!

We came here for some brunch on Saturday morning. The food was good although a bit salty and I would've loved if the squash came with some bread since it had a lot of feta cream and only two slices of squash. The service was very friendly and the brasilian music that was playing created a nice atmosphere.

My new favourite place for Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale, breakfast/brunch served all day even during the week (last order 2.30pm). The benedict are called "Pulled Ham" on the menu and the eggs royale are called "Smoked Salmon" and as a bonus both have spinach as well. Absolutely delicious and the presentation is perfect. Went here on a friday for lunch however, the service wasn’t the best. After being seated we already have in mind what we want to order but it was difficult to get the attention of the waitresses because they were so busy but we waited patiently. A family of 4 arrived and was seated on the table behind us and quickly got their food because they ordered in the till. While our table kept being signalled to wait by one of the waitresses for the second time, at this point 25mins has already passed. And the table behind us were finished eating at this point. I stood up and asked one of the waitresses (younger lady) if it’d be best to order in the till and she pointed me to the till so I kinda assumed that was a yes. The other waitress approached us and asked us to have a seat and wait and she’ll come to us (she was the same one who signalling to wait, but she kept setting up/clearing tables instead of taking our orders). I was on my way back to our table when the lady in the till/barista/waitress kept asking us what the matter was, but at this point I didn’t want to engage because I have already spoken with the other two waitresses. So I was like “we just wanted to order” she then walks us back to our table and said “you have to stay on your seats, we have waitresses around and one was just behind you.” She sounded frustrated and she then took our order. I got my soup and bread within 5mins, but there wasn't any soup spoon 🤦🏻‍♀️ and it took them another 25 mins for them to get to my mom’s order salmon and buckwheat salad which was just in the till, they just need to grab it but they have apologised because they’ve totally forgotten it. There was a gentleman seated alone in the table beside us, he got there first before us but no one took his order so after a while all he managed to order was iced latte and a glass of water because his hour lunch break was already over. I was lucky enough that I can have a 2 hour break. The ambience is good, it’s nice and quiet, I like the interior too and food is good but the whole experience could’ve been better.
Jazz B — Google review
This gaff is dead, low music, ugly interior with kitsch decorations, no atmosphere whatsoever and food was pretty abysmal. My chicken sandwich wasn’t fresh in any sense but it was €17. It’s trying hard to be fine dining and completely forgets that it’s a cafe. All the fancy branding in the world won’t hide glaring foundation flaws in this place, don’t bother with this kip

Sweet Republic is a popular spot that can get quite busy, but the wait is worth it for their delicious sweet treats. The Sweetza (Sweet Pizza) and Smore sandwich are particularly recommended for those with a sweet tooth. The coffees are also noteworthy. While the desserts may be on the sweeter side, the helpful staff and decadent offerings make it a must-visit for any dessert lover. Just be prepared for limited seating in this cozy establishment.
Went there on a Sunday. It was busy and we had to wait around 20 minutes for our order. The staff apologised several times for the delay, but we weren't bothered anyway. The Sweetza (Sweet Pizza) was worth the wait. The coffees were also good. Definitely recommendable for every sweet lover.

Good treats, but I didn't realise it would take 15 minutes for an ice cream cone and a shake (which were the wrong size and wrong flavour, respectively). They served the family that came in after us before us, then told me what I had ordered was no longer available (because they had served it to the family behind us). While they were apologetic, I find it all a bit ridiculous.

At Mooch in blanchardstown and they only let u pick the one flavour, today its Praline which I tried and its not to my liking . There is no other option until later in the day when they switch flavour. You are literally not given a choice on what you can have. It's like they are trying to save a few pennies by not having more than one option this is the second time in a month. Not all people like the same flavours so why not at least have the natural choice along side the flavour of the day. I just went downstairs to Ginos and got a sorbet as at least you are given a choice. I prefer Frozen yogurt but the way the company is gone it's not likely to get much business telling people they can only have the one flavour at a time.
