Irish pub
Bar
Pub
The Palace Bar, located on Fleet Street in Temple Bar, is a Victorian-era establishment that recently celebrated its 200th birthday. Originally a Georgian building, it underwent a Victorian makeover and became popular in the 20th century as a gathering place for Dublin's literary community. Renowned writers such as Flann O'Brien, Patrick Kavanagh, and Brendan Behan frequented the bar.
It's been a long while (years)since I've stumbled upon this traditional Irish pub. The atmosphere was quite, as it was not busy... everything I would have imagined. what was very cool was the mirror partitions that separated the bar stools & just sitting between them taking in the history with a pint.. The bartender that served me is still in some of the current photo's I see on line, so judging from that I'm guessing the palace bar is very while grounded with tradition. I wouldn't miss this place if I were you.

Lovely pub! Visited on a Thursday and Friday night during my holiday in Dublin. Thursday was a nice atmosphere, lively but not overly loud, generally older crowd, mostly irish with a few tourists (like us). Friday was busy but still had seating available upstairs, many people stood outside drinking. Big selection of whiskeys, good beers, a helpful staff.
Shaun R — Google review
It's what you'd expect out of a pub. I asked locals and did research on where I could have the best pint of Guinness, as I frequently drink it, I was not disappointed, this was definitely the best pint of Guinness I've ever had. Their Guinness is rather easy to drink and more on the smooth side than the creamy side, depends on what you like, but this was perfect for us. The Bulmers off the tap was also excellent, it had kept its fizz quite well, as they're usually served via bottle. The barmen were fast and on point, no bullshit, just drinks.
Ye — Google review
Great spot with reasonably priced drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. No food or TVs. Love the sense of privacy, it’s perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying a quiet night out. Always a solid choice! The guiness is a perfect pour.
Traci T — Google review
Stopped in here for a quick pint. The Guinness did not disappoint. Very cool pub atmosphere and in a great location. The place is very busy and it can be hard to find a seat or even standing room.
Dave H — Google review
We saw the notice saying live trad music on a Sunday night abs since it was Sunday we went up. The guinness was great, the irish coffee too. But the music was fabulous. As the evening went on musicians kept arriving. The music was good traditional music not fake tourist come-all-ye's.
Belfastladdie — Google review
This is a perfect place to enjoy a pint or few. It was busy on a weekday afternoon and we were extremely lucky to find a seat as it got really busy not long after we arrived.
Russell E — Google review
I have been to Dublin many times. It's generally a warm, welcoming place. During this last visit, I noticed a shift. Bar staff doesn't want to engage or answer questions about the history of the establishment or even smile at customers. There just isn't the feel there used to be. The Palace Bar is one of the few places this was not true. The bartenders were warm and the bar itself is absolutely beautiful. The clientele was relaxed and happy. It retains its good feel.

Pub
Bar
Located on Dame Lane in Dublin, The Stags Head is a historic Victorian pub with a charming atmosphere. Dating back to the 18th century, it features beautiful interiors with high ceilings, wood-panelled walls, stained glass windows, and wrought-iron chandeliers. This iconic pub was a favorite haunt of Michael Collins during the War of Independence.
Stopped in during our trip to Dublin for a pint of Guinness and loved the classic pub atmosphere — rich wood interiors, great service, and one of the best-poured pints we had in the city. We ended up returning later that night for their comedy show upstairs, and it was a brilliant decision. The lineup was hilarious, the room had a cozy, intimate feel, and the vibe was spot-on. A perfect blend of old-school charm and lively entertainment. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a proper Dublin pub experience with a little something extra!
Jack C — Google review
Met up with some friends on a Saturday afternoon. The Guinness was excellent 5 out 5, service was friendly and prompt. Food was very good. There was a fabulous atmosphere on the eve before the all Ireland hurling final. The pub has an interesting history which always adds to the experience.
Nigel M — Google review
Visited The Stag's Head 2 different days while I was there and the food and drinks were great! The Ham & Cheese Toastie....so good!! Great pub, friendly staff and great place to have a pint of Guinness while enjoying the Victorian interior. Definitely a place to visit and will be back again! It will get very busy so you have to time it right to get a table or bar stool. It filled up quickly after I got there on both occasions.

The best spicy burger I ever ate! Although I don't like bacon it really had a taste. I also recommend Rockshore iris lager. Very polite stuff. You can sit wherever you want. You are very welcome to do so.
Όλγα Κ — Google review
Beautiful decor old style pub, cosy and bustling. We did not eat here so could not comment. Bar staff were attentive and served quick. Gets busy quickly and we struggled to find more space. I was a bit uncomfortable as one of the people at the bar (customer) seemed drunk and unpleasant but this can happen anywhere but the bar staff did remove him. Well worth a visit!
Laura S — Google review
Traditional Irish bar/restaurant with a 1880s Victorian vibe. Load of events, music, etc. throughout the week. We went there for lunch. Food was good and the atmosphere was lively.

Must go irish pub. Excellent atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. Yes the stags head is really! And behind the bar there is also a dik-dik! Google it! Ask them to ring the bell too

Pub
The Long Hall is a traditional pub in Dublin that has been serving locals and tourists since 1766. The Victorian building is adorned with red-and-white-striped awnings, oak ceilings, and old-fashioned globe lamps, creating a nostalgic ambiance. During the day, it's an ideal spot for a quiet pint of Guinness, while evenings see an influx of sociable locals and visitors enjoying the warm atmosphere. The interiors are filled with trinkets and oddities that transport patrons to a bygone era.
I gave five stars for food, but by food I mean a couple of pints of Guinness and a packet of salted peanuts. A perfectly pulled Guinness is what I came here for and it's what I got. Great atmosphere and fast, friendly service.
Robin D — Google review
Worth a visit as it does have a very Victorian feel to it. Very nice but standard selection of beers. We only popped in for a Guinness while we waited for our next appointment to come around. Very nice place to people watch and relax. The prices were reasonable for the area.
Jack C — Google review
Over the last few years my wonderful partner has been discovering his Irish roots and reconnecting with his Irish family. On a rainy afternoon in Dublin he was excited to share with me one of Dublins most iconic venues that has played its part in his recent odyssey. Upon entering it’s easy to understand why this historic boozer is a firm favourite with the locals and tourists alike. Obviously Guinness was our ‘tipple of choice’…( Like there’s any other when visiting a Dublin institution such as this! ) However, you have to understand when you order this national beverage in Dublin there are a few rules involved… NEVER drink from your pint until the nectar is settled and 100% black in colour. ALWAYS place your pint on a beer mat. - I got ‘schooled’ twice in a non verbal firm but friendly manner by the barman - Sláinte. The bar is very traditional, brass fittings, long case clocks, gloss paint on the walls and vintage branded paraphernalia returning you to the halcyon days of drinking - without the cigarette smoke. The place filled up quickly with locals, regulars and after work drinkers - a very pleasant time was spent but sadly after a couple of pints of the brilliant ‘black stuff’ we had to make our way back outside into the rain taking advantage of the complimentary umbrellas on offer at the door - which is a super nice touch and very useful. Thank you and see you again soon I hope x

This old library may be better than even the Book of Kells. It’s like you’re walking through a Hollywood movie set. The books are beautiful as is all the beautiful dark woodwork. The old manuscripts are beautiful in the middle is cool. The big spinning globe is cool but is out of place. This is a must see in Dublin.
Dr. B — Google review
When I say "food", I mean some of the best pours of Guinness in the Dublin area. Great place. Cool vibe. And some great people behind the bar there to help fix you up with the perfect pint or other liquid libation.
Mo — Google review
No Beamish! There is a pic from a couple years ago but they apparently switch out stouts. They had Clockwork, which was decent. I specifically came for Beamish (there are plenty bars in Dublin that serve it, was trying to see as many as possible).

À great Dublin bar in the heart of the city, well frequented by local Dubs, if you want to escape the Temple Bar crowds and enjoy some nice drinks in a great Dublin pub then The Long Hall is yer only man !!! (Didn’t rate food as we didn’t have any but they certainly do food, check menu online)

The Brazen Head, located on Bridge Street in Dublin, is a historic pub dating back to 1198 and is officially the oldest pub in Ireland. Its exterior features exposed stonework and vibrant flowers, while the interior offers a variety of bars and snugs. Despite being close to touristy areas, it maintains a relaxed atmosphere where visitors and locals mingle over pints and traditional Irish dishes like Guinness stew or seafood chowder.
Really enjoyed the bacon and cabbage. Seems like a strange combination but I loved it. We went at the opening time and got a table but they filled up very quickly. The atmosphere is nice because everyone is having their own conversations which makes it feel really lively. Food came out quick enough and the Brazen beer more than occupied me during my short wait. Its not expensive either so id highly recommend visiting here on your trip to Dublin.
Damien F — Google review
This place just oozes "special, but unassuming." I got lucky, wandering in and getting a table. However, it seems like one would generally want reservations here, as they are quite busy, even in the mid-afternoon. Staff was awesome. Food was awesome. Beer was awesome. There are several small spaces/room, some of them quieter than others. Choose your own adventure. :-)
Rip W — Google review
After our Guinness Storehouse tour, we wandered about 12 minutes down the road to The Brazen Head, Ireland’s oldest pub and is was a good choice for lunch. The place oozes history and charm, with its stone walls, wooden beams, and cozy corners. We ordered the Irish stew and fish & chips, and both hit the spot. I’d give the edge to the stew; comforting, hearty, and full of flavor. Liked the mash in the stew. Exactly what you crave after a pint or two of the black stuff. The fish & chips weren’t the best we’ve ever had, but still solid. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt genuinely Irish without being overdone or staged. A must-stop for a classic Dublin pub lunch. It is a bit kitschy and touristy, sure, but that’s part of the fun at the oldest pub in Dublin. 🍀🍻
Corey T — Google review
Apparently the oldest pub established in 1198. They open at 12 and I would recommend you to come on time just as they fill up pretty fast once they open. I had the traditional brazen beef stew and the brown bread(which was basically Soda bread). It used to be called Guinness stew but they seemed to have since changed it. Taste wise, it wasnt mindblowing. It tasted like tomato soup cooked with thyme. Pretty much thats it. The beef portions were generous but most of the beef weren't exactly tender. They had a chew to it. The male staff over the pub counter doesnt seem too friendly either. He doesnt smile and just seem to have a cold efficiency towards his customers. Overall, the stew was just decent and I would recommend coming here especially just to eat the stew. If ticking off the box of coming to the oldest pub in Ireland is your thing, then yes you should.
SL W — Google review
It was our first time in Dublin and we were looking forward to visiting The Brazen Head. We arrived on a Saturday night, the place was quite packed, but we waited only under 10 minutes until we got seated for food. It was worth every second, the atmosphere was welcoming and felt genuine, the staff was extremely friendly and polite. We had the Buttermilk Fried Crispy Chicken Burger and the Apple Crumbles, both excellent. We'll definitely visit again.
István J — Google review
My family of five visited on a weeknight at 7pm. Had a short wait for a table, but nothing of consequence. We sat in at a lovely table on the 3rd floor, in a well decorated room with great atmosphere. Service was prompt and courteous, with our drinks arriving quickly. The menu was what I consider classic fare, but still a good selections. We selected only 3 food items, and all were made well. Special marks for the beef stew. We didn’t stay for drinks but the atmosphere in the drinking areas was pleasant, and seemed well suited for couples & groups. Average cost of an entree was around €20.
Robert C — Google review
The Brazen Head, known as the oldest pub in Ireland, attracts visitors from all over the world — and we were no exception. We came on a Sunday morning, and although the pub only opens at noon, by 11:30 a line had already formed outside. The place is full of atmosphere, with a very interesting and traditional interior that makes you feel the history right away. The food may not be extraordinary, but it was tasty and satisfying. I can only imagine how lively and packed it must get in the evenings. The prices aren’t exactly cheap, but they are still lower than what you’ll usually find in the Temple Bar area. Overall, The Brazen Head is absolutely worth a visit — not just for the food and drinks, but for the experience of sitting in such a historic and atmospheric spot in Dublin.
Natalia P — Google review
Visiting this pub was one of the bucket list experiences in Dublin! I was told it’s the oldest Irish pub in the city. It was a fantastic visit !!! great atmosphere, especially with the All-Ireland hurling final happening that day. The crowd was buzzing with excitement. There was also live music in another bar. We really enjoyed our time there.

Mulligan's, an 18th-century pub located on Poolbeg Street near Trinity College in Dublin, is a no-nonsense establishment with a loyal clientele and a lack of pretentiousness. With a history dating back to 1854 and hosting esteemed guests like John F. Kennedy and James Joyce, it's steeped in tradition. The pub is renowned for serving the best pint of Guinness in Dublin and is also famous for its delicious Dublin stew.
Friendly service and friendly customers at the bar. Not crowded at 16:50 on a Tuesday in May. Lovely pint of Guinness. Never had one poured so slowly in the UK. I’ve learnt something new!!

"We don't serve food, as we find it gets in the way of people's drinking," quoted from the bar tender. This is one of the few places for a proper glass of Guinness. Good Irish bar. Not for kids.

Best Guinness pint I've had all week. Great conversation with local folks and cool bar! Will definitely be back.
Samuel R — Google review
You never go wrong with Mulligan’s. Maybe it`s Dublin’s most iconic pub.that might have changed little since James Joyce based one of his stories there over a century ago. You can feel the 250-year-old history in every corner and it’s still famous all over Ireland for its great Guinness.
Christoph D — Google review
This pub keeps its authentic vibe, even though it’s cozy and always packed. If you’re into literature, fun fact: it’s even mentioned in James Joyce’s work. They’re also known for serving one of the best pints of Guinness in Ireland—grab one and see for yourself!

Mulligans is a must for anyone looking for a real Irish Pub in Dublin city centre. The Guinness taps here get more physical contact than Donald Trumps mobile phone!! One of the best, if not the best pint of Guinness in Dublin City!! Service always on point, place is always hopping, no mater the time of day!! A must stop spot for anybody looking to experience real Dublin

My first time visiting Mulligan's but not my last. This is a fascinating pub with a fantastic history it was a little quiet at the time I was there. The Guinness was very good unfortunately it had a slight after taste probably caused from detergent on the glass. Guinness 4.5 out of 5.

Irish pub
Toners, located on Baggot Street in Dublin, is a long-established pub with a rich history dating back to 1818. It is renowned for serving one of the best pints of Guinness in the city and has captured the hearts of famous figures like WB Yeats. The pub exudes old-world charm with its traditional wooden snug area and original features from Victorian times.
Want to get a feel for a local pub in Dublin - this is your spot. Pub has a lot of character, huge heated outdoor seating ( Toner’s Yard). Great place to hang out with friends and a few pints.
Sac C — Google review
Arrive in Dublin on Sunday and what do you do? Have a drink in a few bars maybe? Toners was one such place. A bit of an Irish institution. Crazily busy but still found a table. On the surface it’s mad. But boy is it well run. Table service works brilliantly so no waiting. Nice pint or two of Guinness ( read the sign) Smithies red ale was also a great pint. Nice music going on and a wonderful atmosphere. Would I go back? You bet I would 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇮🇳 Recommended 😁

Was looking for a good Irish pub - not a crazy bar/restaurant. Toners checked all the boxes. Popular and full on a good night. Almost private and serene on an early Sunday afternoon. The proprietor was awesome, polite and friendly and great place to get a good Irish pub experience without the craziness.
Christopher H — Google review
Great atmosphere. We are happy we stopped in for a Guinness. Felt like this is where the locals go, but maybe it is not, idk either way we enjoyed it.
Cam O — Google review
Always a lively pub, especially from Thursdays to Saturdays. If you want a seat you need to get in early. If you’re happy standing you can come at anytime - just be aware that on match day many supporters come here before, during, and after the match, so it can get exceptionally busy. Guinness from inside is usually a 8/10, however I’ve had some dodgey pours and some exceptional pours so take that as an average.
Eoin — Google review
Toners is one of the coziest and most authentic pubs in Dublin — perfect for a relaxed afterwork pint. They don’t serve food, but the great thing is you can bring your own. Right across the street is Cirillo’s, one of the best Italian pizzerias in town. Great Guinness, warm lighting, wooden tables, and that timeless pub charm you just can’t fake
Marco L — Google review
Really cool spot in a great area of dublin. Classic pub inside, with a nice courtyard that is covered in the back. Very lively and a good crowd. Lots of spots to sit, but does get quite busy.

Step back in time with this pub. We sat in the " snug" and were very well looked after by the staff. Really nice wholesome atmosphere which I think sets this pub apart from it's competition.

Nestled in the heart of Glasnevin, 1 Prospect Square is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic Dublin culture. This historic pub, known as The Gravediggers, has been serving up traditional Irish comfort food since 1833. While its signature dish, coddle—a hearty stew made with slow-boiled meat and a translucent broth—might not win any beauty contests at first glance, locals swear by its rich flavors and comforting qualities.

Irish pub
Pub
Restaurant
Nestled in the Dublin Mountains, Johnnie Fox's Pub is a traditional Irish establishment with a rich history dating back to the 18th century. Originally a small holding farm that provided refuge for Irish fighters during the 1798 Rebellion, it has evolved into a beloved pub known for its live Irish music, storytelling, and hooley nights. The pub offers stunning mountain views, cozy interiors with open fires, and even welcomes dogs in a designated area.
One of Ireland’s oldest pubs, situated up in the Dublin mountains. As soon as you arrive and walk in, you can sense the Irish history and tradition within the pub. Beautifully decorated and very nostalgic. The food is also excellent and reasonably priced for how popular the pub is. The prawns are cooked in a nice buttery and spicy sauce. The main are decent size. I was too stuffed to try dessert but they looked fantastic. Only problem is I had to drive so I could only manage one solid pint of G. Would have loved to had 9 more. If you’re in Dublin, do find the time to have a meal or evening here. You won’t be disappointed.

A real, authentic Irish restaurant. I definitely recommend making a reservation because it gets incredibly crowded, and it has happened that we couldn't get a table without one! The food is delicious and prepared quickly, and the service was fast and kind! The atmosphere of the place is exceptional, I recommend it to everyone who visits Ireland :)

I had the chef’s special and it was absolutely delicious. The rustic and traditional atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable, and the live music created the perfect touch. I truly loved everything about this place – from the food to the warm and authentic vibe.

Five stars in each category! Great traditional pub atmosphere, lots of vintage items displayed. Food absolutely gorgeous, we order seafood chowder and Irish lamb stew both delicious. Frequently live music, what else you need?

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything here is beautiful, and the food and the atmosphere. We've been countless times, and we'll definitely come back again and again. Be sure to book a table, otherwise there's a very high probability of just not getting in and not eating these goodies!

Top score for a fantastic pub. We booked a table, our server was Charlie, She was excellent, I have severe dairy and egg allergies, nothing was too much trouble and everything was checked out thoroughly, thanks to Noelia and the chefs I had beef cheeks with an alternative to the mash, thank you. We enjoyed drinks after by an open fire. This is such a unique place. We stayed over in the carpark in our campervan and had a lovely night sleep , we will definitely return, hope the beef cheeks stay on the menu.

Pub
Grogan's, a historic pub in Dublin, has been a hub for literary and artistic gatherings since the 1970s. The absence of music and television encourages lively conversations among its bohemian clientele. The pub is known for its famous toasted cheese sandwiches made with Irish cheddar and local ham, which pair perfectly with a pint of your choice. Its vibrant outdoor terrace on South William Street is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.
Great local bar with unique atmosphere!! Fair price on the drinks, specially on Guinness!! Nice neighborhood and less turistic than temple bar with a much better beer vs cost !! I would recommend this bar to anyone looking for a good experience in Dublin!!

I went in this Irish Pub last Sunday, it was my Irish boyfriend’s recommendation. The place doesn’t have music or TV, just people enjoying the drinks and lunch with a love chat. The Staffs are very efficient and kind. We enjoyed the Wine and Guiness beer with nice bread+ham+cheese +tomatoes.

This pub was recommended to us by our tour guide and oh my God, she was right. The atmosphere is amazing, there is no music just people talking vibing and drinking. It’s so simple but so magical at the same time. I’m not even the biggest fan of beer but I had two Guinnesses which together with the toast tasted very good. The guys working at the bar are the nicest people we met in Ireland. Please do yourself a favour and go there 💚🤍🧡

This is a great spot for a beer. Very much a when in Rome spot… The Guinness just tastes better in Ireland. Did not try the food. Filled with locals - had a beer with a woman in a business suit on my left and a guy holding up the bar on my right. All packed in and all drinking Guinness.
Jason M — Google review
Stepping into Grogan's Castle Lounge on South William Street feels less like entering a Dublin pub and more like arriving at the vibrant heart of the city's literary and artistic soul. In a downtown area constantly reinventing itself, Grogan's remains gloriously, steadfastly, the same—a haven for conversation, art, and, most importantly, one of the best pints of Guinness in all of Dublin. The reputation is well-earned. Whether it's the care taken in the two-part pour, the high turnover of kegs keeping the stout impossibly fresh, or just the pure, unadulterated "craic" of the setting, the pint of Guinness here is exceptional. It arrives with a perfect, creamy dome, velvety smooth from the first sip to the last. For Guinness aficionados, this is a pilgrimage site—a masterclass in how the Black Stuff should taste. But Grogan's is about more than just a supreme stout; it’s about the unique atmosphere. You won't find loud music or flashing televisions here. Instead, the soundtrack is the steady, warm hum of genuine conversation, debate, and laughter. The walls are adorned with original artwork (all of which is for sale), giving the space a bohemian, gallery-like feel. It's a genuine melting pot where poets, regulars, students, and tourists rub shoulders in cozy camaraderie. And a review of Grogan's wouldn't be complete without mentioning the iconic toasted sandwich. Simple, old-school, and satisfyingly cheesy, this classic Irish ham and cheddar toastie is the perfect, necessary accompaniment to the world-class pint. Grogan’s is an essential Dublin experience. It honors the best traditions of the Irish pub: great drinks, simple food, and conversation with friendly staff and fellow patrons. If you want an authentic, unforgettable pint of Guinness, skip the noise and head straight for the quiet, captivating magic of Grogan's.
Sarang A — Google review
J.J. Grogan's is my favorite pub in Ireland for many reasons. First, they pour as fine a creamy pint of Guinness as you can find anywhere in Ireland. Though they never stop pouring beer, they treat each customer as an honored guest. And if you come back tomorrow, Karl the barman will remember your name and the beer you had the day before. If you are looking for a pub steeped in Irish history and filled with regulars so interesting you'll want to meet them all, this is your place. There's no music here for a reason. You won't see people scrolling TikTok. Grogan's is a real place where you can meet and enjoy talking to real people. And while you're doing so, get them to make you a ham and cheese and tomato and onion toastie. And if you say hold the onions today, Karl the barman will remember it tomorrow when you come. Grogan's is special. Go there and have a special pint and an experience you will never forget.

Pub
The Cobblestone, located in Smithfield, Dublin, is a traditional Irish music pub owned by a family with deep roots in the city's music scene. It's a favorite among locals and visitors alike for its nightly live trad music sessions featuring some of Ireland's top musicians. The cozy venue offers an authentic Irish vibe and is known for its lively atmosphere.
Absolutely lovely - I've seen a few sessions in my native Edinburgh, but it's hard to beat an Irish trad session in Ireland proper. I even got to see some Uilleann pipes played. Great pints too. Contrary to some other reviews, on a rainy Thursday night, it wasn't too packed - I got a great view of the musicians and within half an hour managed to bag myself a barstool at the bar for front row seats! I'd definitely say to come earlier though: the crowd was quieter and more respectful at 8:30 when I arrived than at 10:30 - but even at 10:30 there was still a loud SHUSH! sent up whenever somebody raised their voice over a comfortable background hubbub 😄

This is a beverages only pub. I went for the music and had a great time. The wait staff was very helpful in selecting an Irish ale I would like, and gave me samples to help me decide! Not a lot of seating, but people came and went, so in the end, we had great seats at the bar close to the action!

The best pub in Dublin and has been for years. The cats outta the bag though because every tourist knows now thanks to Colbert!!!! But it's still my favorite pint and the musicians that flow through the front end are always stellar. Doesn't matter when you go, it's always a marvelous time with friends.

Great little bar with local musicians. Really enjoyed the visit. We didn’t try the food, if they have any... not sure.
Richard A — Google review
The Cobblestone Pub – Come for the Music, Stay for the Humanity We came early for the live traditional music — and ended up staying for hours. The music was everything we hoped for: raw, real, and magnetic. But what truly elevated our night was the people behind the bar and the feeling of being welcomed into something much bigger than a pub. While waiting for the session to start, we had the chance to chat with the staff, which was not only fun but surprisingly educational. One bartender kindly clued me in on an important cultural lesson: never order a Black and Tan in Ireland. I had no idea the term refers to the British paramilitary forces sent to suppress Irish independence in the 1920s. It’s an understandably loaded phrase here — not something to casually say at the bar. Grateful for the gentle correction and the history lesson I’ll never forget. I also walked away with newfound respect for Guinness and the subtle factors that influence its taste. Ever heard of invisible congealed milk solids? They can cling to a glass if it’s been used for an Irish coffee and not rinsed well, and they noticeably affect the pour. I’ll never look at a pint the same way again. Special shoutout to Camille, the most intuitive bar server I’ve ever encountered. She’s French, and her quiet command of the room was impressive — kind, proactive, and deeply attuned. She encouraged the quieter guests to order without pressure and even offered water to someone who didn’t want a drink. No ego, no flash — just genuine hospitality. I watched her treat everyone with the same care. We stayed for a few hours of music, and it felt like being part of a living tradition — not just a show. The Cobblestone has soul. If you’re visiting Dublin and want to feel something real, go early, grab a seat, and let the night carry you.

Pub
Kehoes Pub, located just off Grafton Street, is a charming and unpretentious bar steeped in Victorian nostalgia. Dating back to 1803, it is one of the city's oldest pubs and has been frequented by literary figures such as James Joyce and Patrick Kavanagh. The pub features classic wooden bars, original grocery counters, stained glass windows, vintage advertisements, and traditional snug areas.
We wanted to try Guinness in Dublin and we chose this place. It has a vibe of an Irish pub. We ordered and payed for our beers at the bar. The poured the glasses and waited for it to cook, once done we took our glasses in one of their rooms, sat and enjoyed. Now I didn't try too much Guinness to tell if this was the best or not but we did enjoy our time. By the time we were out it was already too crowded the streets were filled with people enjoying afternoon with their drinks.

Popped in for a pint late afternoon on a Friday. Place was busy and lively. Bartender was very friendly and great. Kehoe's is definitely worth the trip for great atmosphere and or conversation. We definitely be back the next time I'm in Dublin!

Stopped by Kehoe’s Pub in Dublin and absolutely loved it! You can really feel the history in this place — over 200 years old, yet still full of life and character. The wooden interiors, cozy snugs, and old-school charm make it feel like stepping back in time (in the best way possible). I had a pint of Guinness, and honestly, it was one of the best pours I’ve ever had — creamy, smooth, and perfectly settled. There’s something about having a Guinness in a place like Kehoe’s that just feels right. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a great mix of locals and visitors. Staff were friendly and quick, even when it was busy. Definitely a must-visit if you want an authentic Dublin pub experience. Can’t wait to go back! 🍺

One of the best Guinness in Dublin. Staff are unbelievable. Great mix of locals and tourists alike.
Joseph C — Google review
We’d heard great things about Kehoe’s — a lovely, traditional Dublin pub — and were excited to visit. We were lucky to find stools right at the bar, or so we thought. It was busy, and the two bar staff were clearly working hard and efficiently. My husband ordered a Guinness while we waited, but we couldn’t help overhearing the older bald barman make a rather unfriendly comment to the younger female barmaid about another customer who’d just left. They were stood right in front of us when he said this. It felt unnecessarily negative, but we carried on regardless. A little later, I ordered an Irish Coffee from the same barmaid, who began preparing it in front of us — fascinating to watch, especially as I’d never seen one made before. The older barman then took over and, out of nowhere, snapped at my husband with, “What are you looking at?” He seemed genuinely irritated and continued muttering about people staring at him all day. It was rude, intimidating, and completely uncalled for. We would normally enjoy a bit of banter, but his tone and attitude made the atmosphere really uncomfortable. I actually felt embarrassed for the younger barmaid, who stayed professional throughout. Thankfully, a couple of other barmen later came on shift and were far more pleasant, but the damage was done. We stayed for a few drinks but felt uneasy for the rest of our visit. It’s a real shame — Kehoe’s is a beautiful pub with great character, but one miserable barman’s attitude completely spoiled the experience for us. €40 for three pints of Guinness and two Irish Coffees shouldn’t leave you feeling like you’ve done something wrong just by being there. We're not strangers to Dublin, so know that this is not normal behaviour from Dubliners. Embarrassing, that man should do better!
Jude K — Google review
Kehoe’s Pub has such an amazing atmosphere — one of those classic Dublin spots where you feel the energy of the city. It’s always buzzing, especially outside on a sunny day, with people enjoying their pints and the beautiful flowers on the building. A must-visit for the authentic Dublin pub experience!
Anna K — Google review
No visit to Dublin is complete without an iconic pub, and Kehoe’s is among its best. We ordered a pint and a half once again, though the barman made it clear that “half a Guinness” is not quite the done thing and I was admonished. Paired with a packet of Manhattan Cheese & Onion crisps, this was the Dublin experience distilled.
Lucy W — Google review
Old style pub with a bar on both floors, no frills. Good atmosphere, great staff. Both bar were very busy but you could still get served relatively quickly. There was no Guiness 0 in the top bar but the staff were very helpful in bringing it up from the lower bar.

The Temple Bar Pub is an iconic and legendary venue in the heart of Dublin's Temple Bar area. With a history dating back to the 1300s, it remains a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. Known for its vibrant nightlife, live performances, and famous red exterior, it also offers a licensed garden where visitors can enjoy craft beers and a delicious food menu featuring items like oysters and toasties.
The Temple Bar Pub: An Irish Institution (Brace Yourself!) ☘️💚 If you're looking for an authentic, quiet, deep-conversation Irish pub experience, keep walking. If you're looking for pure, unadulterated, tourist-fueled, high-energy Dublin fun, **The Temple Bar Pub** is your pilgrimage site. It's loud, it's packed, and yes, the pints are famously expensive, but you simply *must* go once, just to say you've done it! This place runs on charisma, traditional music, and sheer volume. The music is almost constant, the crowd is global, and the atmosphere is electric. It is a spectacle of Irish culture (as interpreted for a worldwide audience!) and an absolutely brilliant spot for people-watching and soaking up the chaotic charm of the area it is named after. The sheer volume of red paint and old whiskey bottles might make it feel like a themed museum, but the warmth of the traditional music and the sheer joy of the crowd keep it alive. Grab a pricey pint, fight your way to a spot, and let the session wash over you. It's a rite of passage! You'll leave feeling a bit poorer but undeniably happier. It’s a five-star experience in madness, and sometimes, that’s exactly what the soul needs. A huge thanks to the bar staff who manage to pour those pints at lightning speed—you deserve a medal and a quiet retreat! 🫂🇸🇪 5/5 Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🇻🇦🕊✝️🕯🙏🏻

Probably the most famous bar in Dublin and also on temple bar street. The atmosphere here is infectious, there is always someone playing some live music and the vibes wrre fantastic. Prices are definitely slightly higher than usual but I think for the environment, it is well worth it to come here at least once.

Tourist trap but I'd go again. I knocked service down cuz a server gave himself a generous tip and I didn't catch it cuz I was having fun and they know it. My 1st server was great. Ya order either by QR code or grab servers as they walk by. Grab a seat anywhere, it doesn't matter if ya know people or not, everyone is family. Be sure to select your own tip, especially if you're American, they'll kinda expect it but ya don't have to. Lesson learned, don't just tap the machine, check it. Food was fine but everything was priced slightly higher than other pubs. Music was loud but good. It's crowded and hard to chat. Overall, good visit, box checked, plenty of other fun pubs. Check your bill closely and no, I wouldn't bring kids to this pub at night, maybe during the early evening.
R J — Google review
During my visit in October, this was one of the most enjoyable bars I went to, beautifully decorated with a Christmas theme. The white-haired singer performing on stage was an incredibly talented artist who took the bar’s atmosphere to another level. When we went, it was absolutely packed we had a hard time getting inside, but that didn’t stop us. While ordering a pint at the bar, I met two Irish guys who bet me that I couldn’t drink my Guinness all the way down to the logo in one go and of course, I couldn’t manage it 😅 The Guinness was excellent though, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet 🍻

Cannot fault this place. Went in on our first night in Dublin and enjoyed it that much we kept going back for the next 2 nights. Food absolutely amazing, staff so friendly and welcoming. Full table service and nothing was too much trouble. Great selection of drinks.

We were staying at at the Camden Court hotel around the corner and The Bleeding Horse was recommended to us. We ordered the fish & chips with a few draft beers. It was enough for us to split (with the beers) and it was delish. The fish was a tad greasy but hey…..fish n chips, right? The fries were great and it was served with puréed peas which was cool!

Food was okay, chips slightly cold that came with the burgers. Seemed a little expensive for the quality. However spice bag and the Guinness stew tasted great. Service was adequate. I think they are better pubs to go for a meal in Dublin, but I can imagine it is a good spot for a drink.

Been here a few times already but always forgot to take pictures of the food. This was our first pub stop in Dublin. It's apparently one of the oldest pubs in the city, so we thought it was a good place to start. It was a Thursday evening and the place was pretty packed. What a lovely little pub with a really friendly owner. Went to see the Phil Lynott statue and it was pouring down. We stopped by last Friday afternoon whilst in town shopping. firstly I have to say the staff were a joy to interact with, polite and very helpful. as you can imagine for a warm, dry Friday afternoon the watering hole was full of locals and tourists which made for a great atmosphere. The pint of Guinness was very good and not too pricey at €7.20 for the location. It was great for myself and herself to sit at the bar and try to identify the characters in the old photos. I would definitely recommend you drop in for a pint if near by, I will definitely be back soon.

It was a pleasant atmosphere, but people kept smoking in the doorway, which was unpleasant. The bartender kindly asked the two gentlemen twice to move, but they didn't go far. Otherwise, it's a really cool spot for a pint. There is some neat history on the walls to read about.

Nice spot for a pint; definitely more of a local watering hole than a tourist spot which is great. Packed to the gills with patrons, lots of whom seemed to be regulars, so service was a bit rushed. Only downside was my Guinness pint was also a bit rushed and wasn’t the greatest. Still worth a visit!

This bar is a staple location for nights out you never know if it will be a quite chat with friends over a pint or meeting new people leading to new adventure's. However it is more expensive than other bars in the area, I paid a euro to a euro fifty cent more here for the same drinks I hot in another bar less than 4 minutes walk away.

A small room traditional old pub. I stopped for a Guiness late at noon time. I asked for finger food to pair my beer only to be told that no food is served. Very few people around and much quiet site at this time. A few people were sipping their drinks sitting on stools next to a couple of black barrels in a small yeard at the entrance door. Walls are painted in dark colors and fully covered by pictures and ads signs. I was impressed by the decorative tiles behind the bar! I hope place is more vivid at a later time within the day. If you are fan of the Thin Lizy irish rock group take a photo of the Phil Lynott bronze statue just opposite the pub entrance door.

O'Donoghues Bar in Dublin is an absolute gem! The staff are incredibly welcoming and genuinely make an effort to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience. The highlight for me was the excellent Guinness – poured perfectly, with that rich, creamy head that every Guinness should have. It truly tastes like an authentic pint of Ireland. Adding to the charm is the fantastic live music. The musicians bring such energy and passion, creating a lively and enjoyable ambiance that perfectly complements the great company, drinks, and setting. O'Donoghues Bar is a must-visit spot for anyone looking to soak up classic Irish hospitality, enjoy top-notch Guinness, and experience some unforgettable live music. Highly recommended!

I stayed here for a few days. The bar was a neat space with live music, very lively. The rooms were clean and charming, the staff was friendly. Given it is a popular bar it is loud with the windows open, but they have excellent sound proofed windows and we had no problem sleeping. One note, you have to check-in at the bar which was no obvious when we arrived.

Charming room above a historic pub. Enjoyed our one night here and a fun timw with friends at the pub on a separate occasion. Staff was beyond attentive and friendly. No lift so only suitable for those able to climb a few flights of stairs

We had an amazing time at O'Donoghue's, with an amazing feel, look and energy to the place. The pints were definitely on the more expensive side it has to be admitted, but the bartenders were warm and welcoming and the drinks were well served. You simply must go for a trad night here, well worth the visit it has to be said.

A REAL classic Irish bar. Got this one recommended for some genuine Irish culture. Ended up in the backyard with lokal singers and band. A really nice place for a quiet Sunday drinking experience. This was the highlight of our trip regarding some real Irish music.

We only had drinks in the pub, we didn’t stay overnight but just could not believe how rude the bar man was. The bald barman, who wouldn’t give his name when asked was possibly one of the rudest bar staff I have ever met in my life, really ruins a great spot to have staff like that.

Whelan's is a renowned venue in Dublin that offers live music and clubs, as well as a relaxing space called The Parlour, which is decorated in a 1950s sitting room-style. Unlike the high cathedral of punk, it's more of a temple to singer-songwriters and earnest artists. With a capacity for only 450 people, the intimate setting adds to its mystique, allowing for a special connection between artists and the audience.
During the Jungle Giants concert at this venue, I had an issue with a person who tried to move me from my spot just because I accidentally broke a glass while dancing. The security team’s conduct was impeccable — they stepped in quickly and professionally, provided full assistance, and even relocated me to an even better spot than my original one. My thanks to the staff and the venue for their efficient and effective response. Highly recommended for anyone who values a place where you can count on security to handle situations with care and professionalism.

Attended Shane Marno gig and although the artist put on a brilliant gig, and the sound quality was very good, the venue itself was far too hot with no air-conditioning. The artist must have been unbearably hot. Drinks very also very dear.

Located on the west edge of Temple Bar, Porterhouse Temple Bar is a popular spot offering a constantly changing menu of their own ales, lagers, and stouts. The pub started as a microbrewery over a decade ago and has become one of the best places in town to sample unique Irish brews.
What a cool spot, dog friendly and 3 floors and an outdoor terrace area too so lots of space to eat or have a drink. The staff are super friendly and the menu is massive. Definitely a must in Dublin!
Chris H — Google review
Location & Access: Located in the heart of Dublin city centre, this multi-level pub is easily accessible from all parts of the city via public transport. Its central location makes it a convenient and popular choice for both locals and visitors. Ambience & Space: The pub delivers a classic Irish pub atmosphere. The second and third floors offer great views of the bustling street below, and on the third floor, you can even catch a glimpse of the beer brewing setup, which adds a cool, behind-the-scenes vibe. There’s also a coin-operated phone charging station on the ground floor—handy for longer visits. Menu & Drinks: The pub serves a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, alongside a food menu that includes chicken wings, soups, fries, and more. What truly sets this place apart is its unique selection of craft beers. Their fruity and sour varieties are particularly noteworthy—the “salad beer” and passion fruit beer are personal favorites, offering rare flavors you don’t often find in other Dublin pubs. They also stock a wide variety of bottled beers, spirits, and house specials, catering to many tastes. Cleanliness & Facilities: The venue is well-maintained and clean across all floors, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Staff & Service: While staff are generally competent, there's room for improvement in terms of professionalism and attentiveness. At times, clients may be left waiting. The customer service approach could be warmer and more engaging. Pricing: Prices are fair and reasonable, especially considering the variety of craft options and the central location. Final Thoughts: I’ve visited this pub several times and plan to return—mainly for their unique beer offerings. It's a great spot if you're exploring Dublin city centre and want to try something new in a relaxed, multi-floor setting.

It's a great pub with a great atmosphere, a variety of craft beers that flow against the flow of Guinness, not the other way around, a great music selection, and great Irish bands. This pub, which has won numerous awards and medals, is, in my opinion, the best in Dublin.
Serdar B — Google review
The Porterhouse Pub in Dublin is an absolute gem for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic, vibrant Irish pub experience with a modern twist. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, open, and inviting atmosphere. It manages to strike the perfect balance between being lively and relaxed — ideal whether you’re catching up with friends, meeting new people, or just looking for a comfortable place to unwind after a long day. One of the standout aspects is the incredible variety of drinks. The Porterhouse is well-known for its strong offering of craft beers, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Whether you’re a seasoned beer lover or just dipping your toes into the world of hops and malts, there’s something here for everyone. They also serve an impressive array of cocktails and other spirits, making it a solid spot for mixed-drink fans too. Of course, a pint of Guinness is a must in any Irish pub, and The Porterhouse serves it excellently — smooth, creamy, and at €7.20, it’s competitively priced for the area. It’s poured with care and pride, just as it should be. Overall, The Porterhouse is more than just a place to grab a drink. It’s a welcoming space that combines great beverages, good conversation, and a rich atmosphere. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike.

Davy Byrnes, located on Duke Street in Dublin's bustling shopping district near Grafton Street, has a rich history dating back to 1722. Originally a farmland premises, it was later described as a Brickhouse with tenements and a farmyard belonging to the parish of St. Anne. Established in 1889, this pub gained literary fame for its mention in James Joyce's novel Ulysses, attracting both locals and literary enthusiasts.
Dinner with girls on a Friday night! Fresh, delicious food and good wine! The place was buzzing - we loved the atmosphere. Service was good but slow at times - we would have ordered another bottle of wine if the first one arrived a bit quicker 😉

Great small pub in Dublin. It was so Inviting walking past, that we had to dine here. Nice service, cozy atmosphere, and good food. Friends had the chicken dish, which they said was delicious. I had Fish & Chips. It was good, but I've had better. They use Hake fish...I think I prefer Cod..but overall just a great place to dine.

Popped in here for dinner with my wife and 2 daughters. We only had mains which were fish and chips, chicken, steak and I had the burger. Food was very nice and was served fairly promptly. It was early evening so not full but busy, atmosphere was pleasant enough and we didn't feel rushed.

Very good value for money (for Dublin City centre) and great service. We had a couple of glasses of wine each and the charcuterie & cheese sharing board as a late lunch. There was more than enough on that board for the 2 of us, very generous portion. The wine was also very nice, not the usual cheap acidic overpriced stuff many pubs dish out. It’s not really a pub anymore, more of a restaurant/Gastropub but that doesn’t mean you can’t go in there just for a drink, we did, but the food looked good, we were hungry, so we ordered and weren’t disappointed, in fact we were pleasantly surprised.

Located on Baggot Street in Dublin's bustling business district, Doheny & Nesbitt is a renowned traditional pub with a rich history dating back to the early 19th century. This classic establishment is popular among political and journalistic circles, often hosting lively debates and discussions. The pub features Victorian architecture, original snugs, wooden floors, carved woodwork, and whiskey branded mirrors in the front bar. Additionally, it offers an Irish menu and a vibrant atmosphere during rugby days.
Our favourite pub in all of Dublin! We’re from Australia and loved everything about this place. It was lively with a brilliant two-man Irish band, great food, and warm service. My husband couldn’t stop ordering the Irish stew, while I loved the fish and chips - but the stout bread stole the show! The pub itself is stunning - spacious, vibrant, and full of energy. With live music, a buzzing crowd, and excellent service, it’s the perfect spot for an authentic Irish pub experience. Highly recommend!

Our first stop while arriving in Dublin. Great service upon entering the pub and the bartender gave us some good insights on what to do while being in Dublin. Ultimately it was a lovely chat and made it a good start of our trip. I had my first pint of Guinness I absolutely loved it and became my favorite beer. To go along with the pint, we had cottage pie (gluten free) and a classic toastie. They were both quite excellent and blew our expectations out of the water. I recommended going here to hangout, eat and enjoy the vibes.

A recommendation from a long time friend and Irishman, this bar exudes old Dublin charm and grace. The best Guinness in all of Dublin and, honestly, the best locally brewed IPA here too. The food was spectacular and if you leave any gravy, it should rate as a crime against the culinary arts. On top of all that, nightly live music is devine. A true Dublin institution, well worth your visit.

One of my favourite pubs in Dublin. Timeless charm, authentic atmosphere, traditional Irish music and one of the best pints of Guinness in town. Over 130 years old, it still maintains its original character. You can see old whiskey casks, pumps and tankards in the bar and the wood partitions together with the antique mirrors give a genuine and pleasant atmosphere in which to drink. Slaínte!

Neary's is a traditional Irish pub situated near the back entrance of the Gaiety Theatre, making it a popular spot for actors and theater enthusiasts. One of my favourite pubs in town. A place with more than 100-year-old history. It's a mandatory stop every time I have visitors or guests. I love their atmosphere, their menu, and their selection of spirits, wines and beers; specially the local craft ones. Their gigs upstairs are unmissable.

Finding a reasonable lunch spot in the city centre is such a challenge and it shouldn’t be. The menu outside attracted us, seemed decent at a reasonable price considering the central location. Now, I may be quite a hungry hungry hippo for a medium sized woman approaching middle age, but I’d still wager there are people with bigger appetites than me. Is it too much to ask not to be left hungry after a €12.50 sandwich? I wish I had the menu description at hand, it said something about sourdough and something about a crisp salad… so there is definitely a disparity between what was described and what was delivered. That said, service is friendly, fast and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, no loud music at least in the afternoon.

As a Dutch tourist I find this as an excellent first meal in a sportsbar upon my arrival in Dublin. The Shepherd's pie was tastfull, hot served and delicious. The Toffee Sticky pudding was yum, I was hmm hmm hmm the whole time, next table was jealous at my dessert. I would recommend both dishes.

Loved this pub! Great atmosphere and not as crowded as many other places in Dublin. I was there on Friday, October 3rd, and there was live music — the singer was really good and super friendly. Perfect spot for a pint, good tunes, and a relaxed local vibe. Definitely recommend!
Diana E — Google review
I wouldn’t recommend it. From the outside, Nancy Hands looks nice, but inside the service is plain and the food doesn’t justify the price. There’s not much variety, the staff doesn’t have much patience to explain things, and the presentation is very basic — just a plain white plate and a pretty average burger for €20. It also feels more like a place made for tourists than for locals, which explains the prices and lack of attention to detail. My advice would be to train the staff better and improve the presentation. Personally, I wouldn’t go back anytime soon.

The Blue Light Pub is the quintessential Dublin Mountains hideaway. Perched high above the city near Stepaside, it boasts arguably the best panoramic view of Dublin Bay you can find, especially at sunset. Inside, it’s all old-world charm with a cozy turf fire, wooden snugs, and friendly, local atmosphere. It's a proper traditional pub, and absolutely worth the winding drive or hill climb for a truly authentic pint with a spectacular backdrop.

Okay, here's a version incorporating that: "I had the most amazing burger and chips at The Blue Light this afternoon! The classic burger with crispy bacon and cheese was exceptionally tasty, and the iceberg lettuce added a delicious crunch. The outdoor seating area was lovely, with beautiful views of the surrounding remote area and its stunning scenery. It's the perfect spot for travelers to grab a bite after a hike on one of the nearby forestry walks. It's also a beautiful stop-off point on your way to Johnnie Fox's Pub and is easily reachable by the 44B from the Luas in Dundrum. The service was also fantastic - friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for a casual meal with a view!"

Ever since this pub opened, it has always been one of my favourite places to visit and while away an afternoon in peace. I love the simplicity of the place, chilled atmosphere (daytime anyway) good music choice. I just adore the decor that has aged so well. The pint’s not half bad either. I’m sure the youngsters socialising must look and wonder who the old fart is, much as I probably did when I were their age.

I didn't find this place until a couple days before I left Dublin. They had my favorite Swedish Cider Kopparberg. It gets pretty busy at times but worth a visit.

Perched prominently on South Great George's Street, Hogan's Bar stands as a magnificent bridge between the traditional Dublin boozer and the city’s vibrant, modern social scene. It is a hub of activity, people-watching, and, crucially, a highly respected purveyor of what many locals argue is one of the best, most consistently satisfying pints of Guinness in the entire city. The moment your pint is settled and placed before you, the quality is undeniable. The stout at Hogan's is often praised for its perfect temperature, its rich, dark color, and a dome of creamy foam that holds its structure flawlessly. The "yummy" factor is high: it's incredibly smooth on the palate, with that perfect balance of coffee and malt notes that defines a masterfully poured pint. In a city full of great Guinness, Hogan's dedication to freshness and pour technique places it firmly among the elite. While the Guinness might be old-school perfect, the pub's atmosphere is pure contemporary Dublin. Hogan's is famous for its large, street-facing windows, turning the bar into a theatre for observing the eclectic hustle of George's Street. By day, it's a laid-back spot perfect for chilling, reading, and conversation. But as the week winds down, the energy explodes. Hogan's seamlessly transitions into a lively late bar, especially when the music kicks off in the downstairs "International Beat Basement." This dual identity—a solid traditional pub with a great pint on the main floor, and a trendy, high-energy spot below—is what makes Hogan's a landmark. If you’re seeking a vibrant spot where the atmosphere is as electric as the stout is velvety, Hogan's is an absolute must-visit. It’s a guaranteed great pint and a guaranteed good time.

I was told I could not enter the bar by the light skinned bouncer who grabbed me by my waste and pulled me back saying shorts are prohibited. That was inappropriate a simple excuse me would have sufficed. My group mentioned there being women inside with short shorts but it doesn’t count for females?? I decided to take a picture of the bar for a review when I was taking pictures of the street and bar outside from the street, when the second bouncer approached me and told me im not allowed to do that and that I was “ putting my camera right in his face” ? Very bizarre reaction from a bouncer in a big city on a public street? I was with a big group and we were all astonished by the attitude and hostility from this man, Me being with my pregnant wife and 52 year old mother diffused the situation by explaining why I was taking photos, he then proceeded to talk to another customer about the situation right in front of everyone saying we were trying to antagonize him? I figured I would crop the photos of the street and bars just of him so he gets what he asked for . Trashy bar, trash service, trashy cleanliness.

Bouncers at this pub on a major power trip particularly the bald one that manages the others. I used to go to all the pubs on Fade St quite regularly up until 3 months ago since I moved away. Came home for 2 weeks went to hogans for a night out. Was refused entry for no reason, just because they decided I was too drunk when I was stood there talking to them perfectly fine asking why I couldn’t get in. Then asked for the manager to which he then agreed with them and proceeded to follow me around the street like a child making sure I didn’t get into any of the other pubs. Really sad to see as I have had lots of good nights here in the past but also a testament to the way Dublins nightlife is headed right now. All of the pubs including hogans were saying they were full to us then blatantly letting other people in, at the command of the small bald bouncer. All in all a shame to see the way a favourite spot of mine has gone, aside from this it’s a grand pub.

Very friendly staff behind the bar. It was a quiet spot for a pint in the hustle and bustle of temple bar we found this gem. Lovely pint of Guinness. Proper Irish pub.
Aisling J — Google review
The bar staff and manager here are fantastic, but the security staff were shocking. I witnessed a man in serious medical distress and, as someone trained in pre-hospital emergency care, I begged security to call an ambulance. Instead, they dismissed me, dragged the man away, and then turned their aggression on me — grabbing me hard enough to leave bruises and trying to force me out for “causing trouble.” The manager handled the situation brilliantly and apologised, but the failure of security to protect customers or respond properly to an emergency was unacceptable. Until the security issues are addressed, this venue is not safe.

Pub
The International Bar, located on Wicklow Street in Dublin, is a traditional Victorian pub that offers a unique entertainment experience. With regular Irish music and an upstairs theatre for drama and comedy, it's a historic venue with over two hundred years of history. The original Victorian decor has been preserved, creating an atmospheric setting for shows. As the longest-running comedy club in Dublin, it hosts comedy nights seven days a week featuring rising comedic talent and big names testing new material.
Absolutely loved this little gem of a pub in Dublin! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with Pub music that perfectly complements the setting. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like part of the community from the moment you walk in. Greetings to Ian and His Guys, from Germany! The drink prices are very reasonable, and the service is prompt and attentive. What really sets this pub apart, though, is the attention to detail in the decor - it's clear that the owners have put their heart and soul into creating a truly special place. If you're looking for an authentic Irish pub experience, look no further. Highly recommended!

Great pints. The Beamish was outstanding. My wife and I popped in here a few times on our trip. We attended one of the comedy nights as well which was a great vibe and hilarious. If you're interested in the 1916 rising as well a great tour departs daily from here, I attended and was impressed.

Me and the Mrs stopped in this quaint little pub while visiting Dublin for the day. We were looking to experience a traditional, local Irish pub. This place was spot on. Friendly barkeep served us quickly and was very happy to suggest a local ale that was not Guinness. We both had the Irish stew which tasted lovely and was a generous serving for the price. We then had a great conversation with the barkeep and one of his local patrons and enjoyed some photos with them. Truly some great gents here. Would highly recommend you try this place.

Visited early one morning awaiting the history tour. And sat outside on a barrel drinking a Guiness and watched the world go by. Perfect spot. Inside the cellar is enchanting. Returned that evening to a comedy show upstairs and laughed so much it hurt. Best place ever. Coming back soon. Aid-o and the crew are awesome!

Frequented by legendary musicians such as Ronnie Drew and The Dubliners, this iconic establishment offers live traditional Irish music performances featuring instruments like fiddles, tin whistles, bodhrans, and uilleann pipes.
Great pub in Dublin city centre. Food was excellent and of course the Guiness was on points. Great menu selection and large servings. Recommended.

A lot of other well known pubs get mentioned in the list of best "Guinness in Dublin" but for me this is the hidden gem of great pints of Guinness. A great place to pop into if you are in town, the service is always great, you will always find a seat. They have great Irish music in the evenings also. Ive never had the food so cant comment on that.

We left a place around the corner after having a table and waiting for 45 min with still no food. After asking and getting a rude response to ask the kitchen staff we cancelled and left. On our way to our hotel my wife pointed out 0’Donoghue’s as we passed by. I went in and looked around. It was very busy and I found a table in the back. Bar staff was very friendly and our order was placed immediately. Drinks out fast and food within 15-20 min. Food was amazing. Anyway much better service than the place we left.

Nestled in a picturesque setting, The Old Stand is a quintessential Irish pub that exudes warmth and charm. Located in an area perfect for leisurely strolls, it provides a welcoming atmosphere where visitors can unwind and feel right at home.
Perfect spot to step out of the rain for beverages. Good service. Nice folks. Classic Irish pub feel with good attention to the details. Men’s bathroom (that I used) was downstairs so might be a hindrance for those who have mobility challenges.

We had a couple of pints before heading to the nearby Olympia for a play last Saturday evening and although the pint of Guinness was very good and reasonably priced for the city centre, the atmosphere was dead in the bar. Located just a short walk from the Teeling Distillery in Dublin's historic Liberties district, John Fallon's "The Capstan Bar" is a centuries-old pub known for pouring some of the city's finest Guinness. The bar also boasts an impressive selection of Irish whiskey, with prices displayed on small cardboard tags. The authentic atmosphere is enhanced by smoke-black bricks and antique decor, creating a cozy and inviting space to enjoy a pint with friends.

One of the best pints in Dublin. Great place to talk, as TV’s are kept on silent. Nice mix of visitors and locals. Bar staff always look like ‘they are comfortable on the ball’ and can handle multiple orders with poise. One of my favourite pubs in Sublin

Walked into the pub on a quiet weekday afternoon to order a sandwich to bring back to my office. Stood at the end of the bar listening to the barman complaining to a customer about how stupid it was to expect him to make sandwiches and serve customers whilst he made a sandwich, I was prepared to wait if he was busy but apart from ignoring me and serving 2 customers that came in after me he then told me that he wasn’t doing take away sandwiches that day. To be honest I went to the Hyatt Hotel next door and got a lovely sandwich and excellent service

The Guinness Storehouse is a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts and travelers in Dublin. It offers a captivating brewery experience that delves into the history of Ireland's famous Guinness beer, founded by Arthur Guinness in 1759. The storehouse, located on a 60-acre site west of Christ Church Cathedral, showcases the legacy of the iconic stout through engaging displays across six floors built around a central glass atrium shaped like a giant pint glass.
If tourists and Guinness beer aren’t your thing, you can skip this tour. Ha! This is a well-designed, modern, and thoughtfully curated museum dedicated to the history and craft of Guinness. Just note, it’s not a factory tour. I’d give the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin two thumbs up for a great way to spend a couple of hours in the city. The building itself is shaped like a giant pint glass, with seven stories in total. The main tour covers about three levels and walks you through the process of beer making. Floor 4 is all the fun advertising thought the years and media room to watch their iconic commercials. Don’t skip the tasting room, it’s a brilliant sensory experience where you can explore the aromas of Guinness and enjoy your first sample while learning how to properly drink the black stuff! You finish the tour in the Gravity Bar at the top (floor seven), which offers grand panoramic views of Dublin. All told, I give it five shamrocks outta five. Sláinte! 🍀🍺

Unforgettable Experience at Guinness Storehouse This weekend's visit to the Guinness Storehouse was truly amazing! We were captivated by the rich history of Guinness, expertly brought to life through interactive exhibits and engaging storytelling. The self-guided tour took us on a fascinating journey through the brewing process, from ingredients to iconic taste. Highlights: - Incredible History: Learned so much about Guinness's heritage and legacy - Interactive Exhibits: Engaging displays made the experience fun and memorable - Perfect Ending: Poured our own perfect pint at the Gravity Bar rooftop, with stunning Dublin views - Delicious Food Truck: Tried the tasty hotdog outside – a great snack! Guinness Storehouse is an absolute must-visit in Dublin! Allow at least 2 hours to soak it all in.

I had the opportunity to visit the Guinness Storehouse, which was the place I most wanted to see while in Ireland. There are interesting shops inside, and the history of the brewery, as well as the history of Ireland, is displayed and is fascinating to see. They demonstrate how to sample the stout, and there are delicious restaurants. Plus, the top floor offers panoramic views over the entire city of Dublin. The service staff are all great, and some were kind enough to offer me free beer samples (a pint :D). If I ever get the chance to return to Ireland, I will definitely visit this place again.
Manus P — Google review
It was a great experience. It was super well presented and everything was well organized. It was easily orientable and the progression was logical. Additionally, it was very interactive with all the different parts of the exhibition. Something i particularly liked was how on theme everything was throughout (such as the “roasting” part was in a room themed with furnace-like lighting)! Super cool. Would strongly suggest going.
Daniel A — Google review
A fun experience even if you're not a Guinness drinker. A self-guided tour across 7 floors where you can learn about the entire process of making Guinness and it's history as a brand including it's famous advertising. The ticket includes a free Guinness or other drink in the Gravity Bar on the top floor with views over Dublin. Can be very busy so best to book although you can get tickets at the door.
C82 — Google review
My visit to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin was absolutely amazing! We bought our tickets online, which made everything quick and easy. The whole experience is designed by floors, and each level tells a different part of the Guinness story — from its rich history and iconic marketing campaigns to the brewing process itself. The concept is super well thought-out, interactive, and visually stunning. I loved learning about how the beer is made and how the brand became such a global symbol. You can even enjoy a non-alcoholic Guinness during the tour, which was a great option. Totally worth it!
Soletecuenta — Google review
I was unsure eif going as I thought it could be very touristy but honestly loved the experience, spend a number of hours there going through the different floors, learning about historical side and how it influenced and still is entertained with modern improvements. Highly recommend it! Also food is pretty good, we went to the bar and had pie and toastie then up to the rooftop bar for the pint included in ticket price. Views were gorgeous there!
M K — Google review
The Guinness Storehouse is a must-visit in Dublin! The tour is fun, interactive, and full of history — from learning how Guinness is brewed to seeing old ads and memorabilia. The highlight is definitely the Gravity Bar at the top, where you can enjoy a perfectly poured pint with stunning 360° views of the city. Even if you’re not a big beer drinker, the experience is worth it for the atmosphere alone.

The Church Café Bar is a sympathetically converted 17th-century church located on Jervis Street in Dublin. It now serves as a cafe, late bar, and restaurant, offering a unique dining experience beneath stained-glass windows and original wall tablets. The venue also features an original organ built by Renatus Harris and the burial crypts can be visited within the building. Despite its name, The Church used to be known as St.
The Church Restaurant in Dublin is such a unique and vibrant spot! I loved the live music—it’s a great way to experience local culture while enjoying a meal. The fish and chips were excellent—light, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also loved how the space is divided into different sections, giving it a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. It’s spacious enough to host a lot of people without feeling crowded. A must-visit for great food, music, and atmosphere!

Although this isn't a typical Irish pub, since it is located at an old church, that's exactly what makes it special and different from the other pubs. The atmosphere was great, the food was great, the music and traditional dances too! The design of the space was very well accomplished.

We went for a late lunch to try out the restaurant. There was a lot of hype about the restaurant. The food was good but the drinks were expenses. €16 for a cocktail. The server was very attentive and friendly. The food was reasonable but not remarkable. The atmosphere was what we were there for. The organ looked neat, the stained glass was pretty and the bar looked fancy.

fantastic vibe, really cool architecture and great drinks. Drinks run an average of 16 euro as of Nov. 2025, but the bartender's are top notch, as is the atmosphere. worth checking out, especially when live music and dancing take place. What an amazing place! Dropped by with a group of friends after an evening event and we were blown away. This is a converted church that still has the magnificent large pipe organ - such a unique atmosphere! We managed to order dinner just before the kitchen closed, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The burgers were excellent. As if the setting wasn't special enough, we even got to watch some Irish dancing during our visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good food in a truly one-of-a-kind venue!
Jeffrey C — Google review
Giving this restaurant a 5 just based on the atmosphere alone. It's a really cool environment with remnants of the church, but with a huge bar in the middle, presumably where the pews used to be. We sat upstairs, which is highly recommended, so you have views of the bar, the Irish dancing, and the entire restaurant. A reservation is a must, I would think, unless you want to stand in a long line, and even then, you might get a seat on the ground floor. The food was pretty good here. We ate at the restaurant on a Sunday, so we got their special Sunday menu. As a starter, we got the Pork Ribs and those were excellent. For dinner, I got the Traditional Irish Lamb Stew, which was just ok, I would say. Nothing out of the ordinary. But, my wife got the Sunday Roast and that was excellent. If I could order again, I would have ordered that as well. For dessert, we had the Apple Crumble which was very good. And then with the assorted drinks/wine/coffee, really made for a good meal and good experience. Back to the dancing. This occurs every night at 7 pm, I believe, and it's traditional Irish music along with the dancing. It might change, but the night we were there, there were two dancers. Very entertaining and gave us what we felt was an authentic Irish experience. Finally, the servers were very friendly and attentive. It was a great meal out.
Dave H — Google review
Was sat at the bar for half an hour. Three separate parties that arrived after us were served before us. We tried several times to catch the bar staffs attention without any joy. I’d recommend drinking before you come here otherwise you’ll be thirsty. Apart from that, the live music and dancers were amazing and I’d recommend visiting even if it’s just to see them perform.

This enchanting venue not only serves an impressive selection of drinks but also offers seasonal farm-to-table menus that highlight local flavors.
A lovely converted bank in the heart or Dublin. Walked in on a Sunday night after being turned away by some other local spots due to a lack of availability. Our party of seven was promptly sat, not just in the dining room but in a private room that used to be the managers office. The service was quick and efficient. Instead of having a dedicated server, everyone seemed to share the responsibility of checking up on us, taking order. Etc. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, eagerly ready to inform us of recommendations and answer any questions. The food was phenomenal. The bread tasted close to freshly baked, the soup was rich and creamy, the vegetables tasted like they had just been picked off of the vine. The entrees were all appropriate portions for the price, the accompaniments were all beyond complimentary to the entrees. The cocktail list was expansive and well rounded. The wine list wasn’t anything grandiose but meaningful and concise. The bank is beyond lovely, and look forward to returning.

Loved the burrata salad, weird individual ingredients that come together in an amazing combination. My seafood tagliatelle was chock full of mussels, clams, fish and prawns, pasta was a LA dante, and the cheese amazing, it was a pleasure to eat and serious value for the buck. The chicken supreme was a bit dry. We loved our mocktails. The place was insanely busy, we caught the last table before everyone had to sit st the bar. The atmosphere was historical, fun and cheerful, not too loud but certainly bustling, and the servers super busy but still very friendly and light hearted. The interior was a masterpiece to enjoy by itself. This place is super firm in the values that it stands for, both in Ireland and the world, and that was the prime thing that pulled us to try it, that and the fact that it was clearly fancy.

The Bank Bar and Restaurant opened in May 2003 and is located on College Green in the heart of Dublin. This site has been occupied since Viking times, as it is located in the oldest region of the city in close proximity to the viking parliament The exterior is Franco-Scottish in inspiration and is unique in that it is one of Dublin’s rare examples of Scottish sandstone. The interior, which was once the main banking hall, is a stunning example of merchant power and patronage displaying an extraordinary ornate setting, stained glass ceiling, mosaic tiled floors and spectacular hand carved plasterwork and cornicing. This old-school pub features an ornate Victorian decor with filigreed mirrors and carved-wood snugs (enclosed booths). In addition to perfectly poured Guinness, the pub is known for serving potent gin and tonics. we spent some nice time here and it was really beautiful.

O'Neills Pub & Kitchen is a historic venue located in Dublin, with a layout that includes a rooftop beer garden and antique fittings. The pub has been licensed for over 300 years and is situated near the Temple Bar Cultural Quarter and Trinity College. It prides itself on serving high-quality traditional Irish food and drink in a welcoming atmosphere. The menu features classic dishes such as the full Irish breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients.
We visited the pub on a sunny Sunday around 5:30 PM, and there were still plenty of free tables. Inside, it’s quite dark but very cozy and inviting. We ordered two beers with our food. The Shepherd’s Pie (€18.25) was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Some of the meat was nicely seared and crispy — for me, it was the best Shepherd’s Pie I’ve ever had. The Beef Stew with Guinness (€18.25) had a rich, hearty flavor. As a small side, it came with very tasty green beans and carrots, along with a few potatoes. The stew also had large chunks of carrot and celery, which added a unique and wonderful flavor. It was served with a side of bread and butter. The toilets were clean, and the staff was very kind and friendly. If we’re ever in Dublin again, we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Love the old school pub vibe here. Amazing food! We had cottage pie, potato and leek soup, the number nine pizza, and the spicy nachos. All were delicious and huge portions. You just walk in, find a table, and order food at the bar. We went Tuesday night at 7:30 and found lots of open tables and seating.

This pub was recommended on the internet, and it was good. You order at the bar, and they bring you the food. They have a great variety of drinks and the food was delicious. Would recommend! They also have live music in the evening, but we didn‘t stay for that.

Our first meal in Dublin (lunch) and it was amazing! We had Irish stew, Guinness stew, tomato soup, and cottage pie. All were very tasty. It's self service was rather easy and nice. Order at the bar and get a # to put on the table. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been here a couple of times on my trip to Dublin. The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is great. Ray and Usain are great guys who made me feel comfortable and welcome the whole time….just don’t try to show them pictures of waterfalls ;)

We came to this place looking for traditional Irish fare and boy o boy did they not disappoint. It’s open tables and order at bar. We ordered the Beef nachos, cottage pie and beef casserole. Everything was amazing with great flavor. If you are in Dublin, do drop by and you would relish the food.

Just your typical trad Irish pub. Traditional Irish stew was basically an unseasoned sopa de res, nothing spectacular. Corned beef Ruben was definitely better of the 2. Perhaps if you’re going at a livelier time & order more drinks than we did it will be better
Holly K — Google review
The service was great. I had a grilled chicken Ceasars salad that had bacon in it which was different but actually good. The other burgers we ordered were also delicious. The atmosphere was fun in the lower bar. If you want a quieter place to talk go to an upper level. There are many floors with steps to use the bathroom so that may be an issue for some. The guy that played the guitar was amazing and had our bunch of girls singing and dancing all night. I would definitely go here again!

The Hairy Lemon is a unique and unconventional pub in Dublin, known for its connection to the film 'The Commitments' and its extensive collection of memorabilia adorning the walls. The pub is named after a legendary Dublin character who was said to have a lemon-shaped expression with some stubble. It has become a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, especially after exploring nearby attractions like St. Stephens Green or Grafton Street.
Awesome restaurant here. Great, fresh food, hot and big portions. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Location was great. Lots and enough seating spaces for everyone. Highly recommended!

Was here on a Tuesday evening and was surprised to see it completely packed with crowd. Finger food was absolutely delicious and the vibes were pretty decent. The pub often hosts traditional Irish music sessions and shows major sporting events—from rugby and GAA to soccer and golf, making it a lively hangout.

The atmosphere is very nice, warm and welcoming! We had the mini Irish breakfast and the eggs Benedict. With any breakfast you have filtered coffee or tea with included. -the Irish breakfast was only ok. There are better Irish breakfast in other pubs to be honest. -the eggs Benedict was AWFUL. The poached eggs were both fully cooked. And the sauce just by looking at the colour and texture you feel disappointed and then disgusted. The sauce was literally too thick, too buttery and too much mayonnaise. This with the combination of coffee it made me sick 💩 I’d still recommend to go there for a drink but definitely not the food.

Lively place. Very Busy. It took a while to get our order in, and our food. But when drinks and dinner did arrive...Quite good. The Guinness Beef Stew w/ puff pastry crust was excellent. (Teeling) Old Fashioneds were solid as well. Multi-level place. Get up and a window seat (overlooking the street) if you can.

I found the Hairy Lemon! 🍋 The most unconventional pub in Dublin. It’s a riot of memorabilia (High Nellies! Wellies! Granny's Kitchen?). 🤯 Plus, scenes from *The Commitments* were filmed here! 🎬 Great Guinness, great food, great chaos. Skip Temple Bar & find the Lemon. 5/5, would get lost in the decor again. 🍻🇮🇪✨

The food is really good, nice and fresh and generous portion sizes for tapas. A good selection too. Dinner meal can be 2 mains, 1 side and a desert for €45 per person and it’s a really good deal and plenty of food! Staff are friendly. Such a nice space with a chilled happy vibe I highly recommend

Went with a colleague and shared wonderful dishes between us as tapas. Pretty full for a Tuesday night too which made the place feel alive and vibrant. Subdued lighting too to make the place feel initimate and personal. Ordered wayyy too much food in the end but all of it was excellcent quality.

We had an amazing Sunday brunch with a group of 15, and the service was exceptional. Two of my friends follow a gluten-free and vegetarian diet, and we were pleased to find plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions. For groups of eight or more, the restaurant typically offers a group menu. However, since it was a quiet day, I spoke with the manager in advance when making our reservation, and they were happy to accommodate our request for an à la carte menu to cater to specific dietary needs. Our group enjoyed both the set dinner menu and the group menu, both of which were absolutely worth the price. The food was delicious, well-portioned, and satisfying. A special thanks to Zeha, who took great care of us during our visit. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant!

Very lively and bustling place right on the street. Perfect for birthdays, meetups and banter. I loved the atmosphere and surprisingly the food was very delicious. The menu is quite comprehensive and has a lot to offer. I tried the chicken skewers which were delicious and a must try. Loaded nachos were good but I have had better. It offers global cuisine and cocktails in an industrial-chic space with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide stunning 360-degree views of Dublin. The menu features a blend of New York and Irish cuisines, offering options for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. With mains starting from 14.
This is a cool restaurant and bar! We were able to get a table of 5 without reservations. The food was all very good some of the best we had in Dublin. Service was good but not quite to the standard of the food and atmosphere.

Came to Sophie’s on a whim, around 2200 with a reservation. Delighted we came here as most kitchens were closed at this time. The ambiance was modern and chic. Situated on the top floor overlooking part of the city on hotel grounds. Such a nice, distinctive way to spend one of the last nights in Dublin. Food was extremely good and service was attentive and friendly. Menu was varied enough for 3 different palates. I had the grilled sea bass which I really enjoyed, the seafood linguine was also very good. Did not disappoint!

Made a reservation to host my sister-in-law's bridal shower brunch here and it was amazing! The cocktails were creative, fresh, and divine. The food was fabulous. Definitely recommend Sophie's for special occasions or date night!

Sophie’s Rooftop Bar – A Top-Class Experience Had an excellent evening at Sophie’s Rooftop Bar. We kicked things off with the duck croquettes and the gnocchi starter – both were outstanding. The croquettes were crispy, flavourful, and paired with a delicious dipping sauce, while the gnocchi was absolutely immense – bursting with flavour and perfectly cooked. Portions were just right for starters. The ribeye for mains was nothing short of spectacular. Cooked to perfection, beautifully seasoned, and served just the way a good steak should be. Every bite was a treat. The ambiance on the rooftop was cool and relaxed, with great views and a laid-back, stylish vibe. Perfect for an evening out. Special shoutout to the service – our waiter was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better. Really appreciated the warm and attentive approach. Highly recommend Sophie’s for anyone after top-notch food, a great setting, and genuinely good service.
Stephen — Google review
I really wanted to like Sophie's as it was meant to be our Dublin “splurge” dinner, but both dishes were a letdown. My seafood pasta (€29) tasted like something I could make at home with jarred sauce. The “seafood linguine” was actually spaghetti, and while the mussels, shrimp, and clams were fine, the dish itself had no real flavor or depth. No Parmesan, no bread—just flat. My friend’s gnocchetti was equally underwhelming. The room was quite noisy, and we were so disappointed by our main courses that we didn’t even want to stay for dessert. The view was nice, and our server was polite but seemed a bit confused. Overall, it felt more like a trendy first-date spot for twenty- and thirty-somethings than a genuine dining experience. We left disappointed and wouldn’t come back or recommend it.
Jill M — Google review
Amazing place to spend a celebration. Brilliant service, amazing view, tasty food and great wine. Shout out to our server who I think was called Jeremy (could be wrong). He couldn't do more for us, even putting a candle in my brothers sticky toffee pudding. Communication prior was disjointed, only finding out on arrival that due to this being dealt with by a third party, the restaurant managers had no idea of our previous correspondence. Not a cheap place but definitely worth it if you have an anniversary, birthday or other occasion.

I’ve been here for birthday dinners throughout the years but never really enjoyed the food. This time was different. We really enjoyed our mains: the fish and the ravioli. Step into the Vintage Cocktail Club, a sophisticated bar with a speakeasy ambiance located in the lively heart of Dublin's Temple Bar. This three-story establishment exudes 1920s charm with its vintage decor and cozy atmosphere. It has been acclaimed as one of the finest cocktail bars in the country. Guests can enjoy candle-lit cocktails and exquisite dining while surrounded by antique furniture, captivating artwork, and a roaring fire.
A unique cocktail bar crammed with character, you knock on the black door to get in. There's several dimly lit rooms to chill in.. recommend booking before arriving as it a popular spot. They have a large cocktail menu to choose from however will make most classics if you ask. We loved it.

Great experience. Service was out of this world. Cocktails came so quick we were wondering how they did it. Extensive cocktail offering and I threw them a curve ball to create something different which they easily did and was amazing. These guys know what they’re doing! Loved it!
Kevin V — Google review
Yes a speakeasy, hidden in plain sight. But the crowd in front gives it away. Multiple floors with intimate seating, very narrow spaces and dim candlelight lighting. The broccoli was disastrous. The cocktails recommended based on my palate, not good. Had the Rosy&Jim and then the Condor&Curly. They say a cocktail bar with a large menu is nothing special. VCC didn’t serve.
Alexandria M — Google review
A delightful bar secreted behind a scruffy door in the middle row of a busy street adds an air of illicit speakeasy to the whole experience. Ring the doorbell and - so long as you have a reservation - you will be admitted to a dark hallway then upstairs to a large candlelit room decorated in 1920/30s period pieces and individual tables. The service is attentive and very pleasant. An extensive menu of classic cocktails and house variations is laid out chronologically by period. The drinks are well mixed and potent using only the very best ingredients. They also have a menu of snacks and larger dishes. I can thoroughly recommend the Sidecar - superbly lemony and packs a punch. Highly recommend a visit to this wonderful piece of atmospheric cocktail longe-lizard life.
Martin M — Google review
A real secret in the Temple Bar area. Ring a nondescript doorbell and be admitted to an old-style speakeasy. Extensive cocktail menu covering the classics and own inventions. Had two Manhattans which were gorgeous. Lovely service from the friendly hostesses as well. They offer small plates and cocktail making classes as well. You need to book a table - a couple tried to sneak in the door after we were admitted but were pleasingly told to wait by the hostess - some cheek on people lol!
C82 — Google review
I was so impressed with this place I’m writing the review while I’m still at the table. The drinks are so good. And the service is next level good. Do yourself a favor and make reservations. We’ll for sure be back on our next trip to Dublin. I’m attaching a picture of the door just to reinforce it is the nondescript black door.
Angelina H — Google review
Absolutely a must find experience in the heart of Dublin. A nondescript door and doorbell on a busy side street, leads to a gorgeous multilevel, 1930s style speakeasy. The rooms are adorned with velvet furnishings and beautiful art nouveau decor while jazz quietly plays in the background. The menu offers a variety of classic and unique cocktail creations, accompanied by the history of different liquors through the decades. The charcuterie and cheese board was one of the best we’ve ever had. There are cozy nooks and tables on every floor, but we sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the very talented mixologist whipping up his concoctions. While they do not require a reservation, making one ensures you have a time slot, they don’t guarantee that they’ll have a spot if you just ring the bell. Also, this is a strictly 23 years old and older experience. In summary, the drinks were delicious, the food was fantastic, the mixologist was knowledgeable and friendly and the unique entry experience and ambience was so beautiful. It was perfection, from beginning to end!

Fun traditional Irish pub. We ordered the bangers and mash and seafood chowder. The bangers were tender, juicy and had a great flavor. The seafood chowder was creamy, seasoned perfectly and had just the right amount of fish, carrots and celery. A great option if you want great Irish brews and grub.

First time in this pub in Dublin and the mas was okay. The dish are presented well but I don't know it's missing something to make it really good. It was still good but nothing wow. Sadly the Baileys cheesecake is a mousse not a real chessecake.

We came here twice during our stay in Dublin, the Seafood Chowder is hands down the best we’ve had! The chicken pie was also delicious. Classic Dublin pub atmosphere, great Guinness, and a friendly mix of locals and visitors.

I first visited Sheehans Pub in 2024 and remembered that their potato soup was one of the best soups I’ve ever tasted. So when I visited again recently with my mum, I decided to treat her again. Slightly apprehensive that it might have been a one off and the quality might not match the first time, but I’m glad to say, it did. Honestly go there for lunch and have the soup. My mum didn’t want a sandwich and I asked the server, and she said that’s not a problem and they gave my mum some delicious soda bread with the soup. The female server (forgive me I didn’t get her name) was one of the nicest servers I’ve ever had, couldn’t do enough for us and super friendly - not surprising the Irish are super friendly. She, along with the food, will be the reason I will come back again when I visit again. Highly recommended!

A memorable cocktail experience The menu is built around wigs for some reason. Weird, yes, but it works The interior is wonderful, like some kind of posh Victorian hotel. Very good cocktails, mixed service. I reserved a table online, but upon arrival got informed it’s only for an hour and fifteen minutes due to a “big reservation” arriving later… which i found quite rushed and inelegant for a place like this. The hostess was very unapologetic and disinterested in any conversation. We got seated upstairs. Nice decor, but some of it damaged and I repaired, bit of a sewage smell in the room. Luckily from there it got only better. Our margaritas were delicious and bartenders super attentive and kind. Mixed feelings really.

Amazing venue with great drinks and concept, let down by simply incompetent staff. Harsh but every moment was excruciating from the initial greeting, to waiting 20 minutes to get a first drink, to being presented the bill before our second drink arrived, to then being told our table time was up before that drink arrived. Really awful experience saved only by some quite exciting cocktails. It’s been a while since I’ve really met such terrible staff. I haven’t contemplated complaining before but ended up laughing at how bad this really was - right up to getting our own drinks from the bar, much to the embarrassment of the barman. The location and venue is terrific and maybe after a purge of the team this place could be worth visiting again. Shocking.

We stumbled across Baileys on our first night in Dublin. We were lucky to get a table in their outdoor patio area so it was off to a nice start. We decided on the Fish & Chips as well as the Beef & Guinness Stew. Our meals arrived in short order but to be honest the food was very ordinary, nothing stood out at all. Our server did a terrific job & the prices seemed fair but I think we will pass on Baileys next time we find ourselves in Dublin.

Google recommended this place for its Baileys cheesecake and Irish coffee, so we decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, there was no waiting line. To complete our meal, we also ordered fish and chips. The cheesecake was decent, the coffee was mediocre (I couldn’t quite pinpoint what made it special and only took a few sips), and the food was average. Overall, it was an average experience.

We tried the bibimbap — the hot beef was delicious, but the rest felt a bit plain. The chicken wings were crispy but soaked in a sweet sauce, which wasn’t really our thing. The only downside was the restroom, which could definitely use more attention to cleanliness and maintenance. That said, I would still highly recommend this restaurant for its amazing food and excellent service. With some improvement to the facilities, it would be truly perfect!

I got delivery, I got the japchae noodles with added beef bulgogi, it was really delicious especially the beef. It had a lovely taste to it savoury and a hint of sweet. I also got the fresh kimchi, it was really tasty and good amount of spice to add to any of their dishes. Can’t wait to go in person as their delivery service has a smaller limited menu and I’d love to try more !

Farrier & Draper - Bar & Restaurant is a unique and eclectic venue that resembles an eccentric country mansion with its colorful mismatched furniture and art-covered navy walls. The establishment features several rooms, including a bar with brown leather stools, the Georgian Room with plush armchairs, and the Gallery Room boasting high ceilings, a fireplace, and diverse artwork. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it perfect for enjoying a chilly day by the crackling hearth.
I recently visited this fantastic bar, and it exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with great music and friendly staff. The drinks were expertly crafted, and the overall vibe made it the perfect place to unwind. Highly recommended!

I visited this fantastic bar before Christmas last year, and it exceeded all expectations unfortunately the place has been shut down now . The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with great music and friendly staff and lovely food by ‘Laacha Restaurant’ .

This place is absolutely GORGEOUS. Vinny the bartender welcomed me for a lovely two for €16 cocktails at lunch time. He was sweet and lovely to chat with. It’s my last day of travel here in Ireland and I feel thankful to have started the day’s energy here! Thanks Vinny and Farrier & Draper 💚☘️

SCAM, BEWARE! This place tricks you and refuses to give you your money back. Sign out front said 2 cocktails for €16 and that’s the only reason we came in. Told the hostess that’s what we want. After she sat us no one came around and I had to go up to the bar to get my own menu and again had to go up to the bar to order because no one came by. It was 4pm on a weekday so not a terribly busy time. Ordered 2 margaritas, asked for one spicy. Bartender not once said it would be extra for spicy despite me again saying when I ordered I want the special that’s advertised on the sign (which does say margaritas). Got my bill and they charged me double! It’s no longer €16 because of the added “spicy”. I asked for a courtesy adjustment and the manager said no. At this point I find it so ridiculous I even told them I’m going to do a charge back with my credit card company and they still didn’t budge. So instead of doing the right thing, they rather lose a customer, gain a negative public review, get €0 instead of €16, and generally just be a shady business. Proud to say I got my money back from Chase and those crappy drinks were free :)

Stunning place with very good location. The environment is so nice and the cocktails are tasty. Love the deco there showing some stories that we don’t know can discover more..

Such a beautiful place, the design is beautiful. Service was okay, a little slow and the staff seemed to be overwhelmed. The food menu was not loading on their website. So I could not pre plan on what to order. Food was okay the seafood pasta was okay, a little salty. Drinks however were well made. I had the Tommy's Spice Bag Margarita which I enjoyed. The dinning room was clean and tidy. Bathroom was clean but one of the soap dispensers was out of soap, which can happen during busy hours. It was not busy when I was there. Over all I had an okay experience. Maybe it was an off day but I was not totally impressed on my first visit.

nice little spot for a light bite and a cocktail. Guinness here was super smooth and creamy. spicey margarita was beautiful according to my husband. little bit expensive and the menu states the wrong prices as when we went to pay they charged us 4 euro more on each dish. which has knocked the rating down.

Bar
Tucked away on 25 Dawson Street, The Dawson Lounge is renowned as the smallest pub in Dublin. Despite its limited space, this cozy and intimate bar offers a unique and snug atmosphere for visitors. Descend down a spiral staircase to enter this microscopic yet charming establishment where you can enjoy reasonably priced pints of Guinness. With a total capacity of around 40 people and seating for half that number, it's an ideal spot for those seeking a more intimate setting.
Super cute basement pub, Supposedly the smallest lounge in Dublin. If I lived here, I would come every day. Great atmosphere.

It's a neat little bar for one drink, but it's kinda gross inside. Bathrooms are disgusting and smell awful.

Located on Parnell Street near the Cineworld cinema, The Wool Shed is a popular sports bar with a lively international atmosphere. It's a favorite among expat communities in Dublin who come to watch their national leagues on the numerous screens throughout the venue. In addition to its sports offerings, The Wool Shed also hosts a comedy night every second Monday featuring top Irish stand-up comedians.
This place is deceptively big. The downstairs is a medium sized bar area but still plenty of places to sit. Go upstairs and there is a bigger room with a bar that's right in front of the stairway. To the left of the stairway is another good size area with another bar. I would say that this place could easily accommodate 250+ people. Food was good although delivery was a little disjointed. They need a better system to track who ordered what or give the customer a number that corresponds to the order. Give the food to the bartender and have the bartender call out the number. Maybe have 2 people working the bar to help facilitate flow.
Kevin E — Google review
Great service, and I was greeted with a smile! I was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes—both the Spicy Meal and the Loaded Fries were bigger than I expected. The quality was decent, nothing extraordinary, but still enjoyable. The place has a lively atmosphere, which makes the experience even better. Every Thursday night, they have karaoke, which adds a fun touch to the evening. It’s always nice to have this kind of entertainment while enjoying a meal. Overall, a good experience!

The Caesar salad with grilled chicken was very good. It also has some bacon in it. Also, they serve Zingibeer (ginger beer) with bitters, which is very tasty.

Can’t even say how many times I’ve been here. Always good. If you want to sing, go on a date, or have a laugh with friends while having chicken wings and a pint, this place it’s a great option. Only one time the bouncer didn’t allowed me in, even tho I had a table booked, and my friends were already in waiting for me. I was late and he said that the place was full already. I would understand if it was a walk in situation, but we had a table booked for certain amount of people, which doesn’t make sense to me.

The Hole in the Wall is a historic pub located along the exterior wall of Phoenix Park, boasting a remarkable 100-meter length, making it Europe's longest pub. Dating back to 1651 as a medieval coaching inn, it has been frequented by notable figures throughout history. The pub offers classic Irish dishes and an array of craft beers in a charming setting with exposed brick and live music on select nights.
Had a lovely lunch and decided we would go for the Burgers. Came out to this restaurant on a recommendation from a local and it was a fantastic experience. From the start the service was amazing with Dee and Alex seating us and making us feel welcome and settled giving a personal experience. Cannot recommend the place enough not just for the staff but for the food. We had beef and Guinness stew which was well worth the price and the dessert was fantastic. Definitely a 10/10

It's what I'd call a proper pub, very old and very nice inside. Walk in one end and seems to go on forever with so many different things to look at on the way. We had a meal here which was really nice and service was excellent, very friendly happy big pub.

**Review: Hole in the Wall** The Christmas decorations were absolutely beautiful and created a really cozy atmosphere. The food was good and the overall decoration was truly impressive. However, the service was disappointing. When we sat down, the staff immediately pressured us to order food, and since we only wanted coffee and desserts, they asked us to leave. The way they communicated this was very poor and came across as quite rude. I understand the place is busy most of the time, but there are better ways to treat guests.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Vibes and Even Better Beer! Had an awesome time at BrewDog! The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the beer selection was top-notch. Tried a few of their IPAs and was seriously impressed bold flavors and really fresh. The food was also great (highly recommend the loaded fries!). Definitely a place I’d come back to with friends. Big thanks to the team for making it such a great experience!

Very cool atmosphere and large inside. The view is stellar as it overlooks the water and there is the option to sit outside as well. They had a very nice tap selection and a robust food menu, but I thought the portions were small for the price. The food was really good though! The upstairs kitchen is very cool with shuffle board. The staff were fine, not super friendly but provided prompt service. Definitely a great spot to stop for a bite and a beer.

I know this place is famous for their craft beers but the brunch here is worth the visit too! There are outside chairs and tables and a lot of room inside as well. Sunny day brunch would be perfect here!! We always come back here for their buttermilk chicken and waffles. The chicken and the waffles are the crispiest i ever tried! We also tried here the american breakfast, buffalo chicken wings and their burger. All options are really goood! I visited for Wings Wednesday, and while the beers were excellent, I can't say the same for the wings. Gay night club

Cocktail bar
Located in Dublin, The George is a legendary LGBTQ nightclub that has been an integral part of the Irish LGBTQ community for almost forty years. It has played a significant role in advocating for social and cultural change, including the fight for marriage equality. The venue features a low-lit front bar with velvet-clad barstools and hosts raucous DJs and live bands in its club room.
Seven years ago, I walked into The George and met my future husband—so obviously, this place holds legendary status in my heart. Coming back felt like a time-traveling rom-com sequel (with slightly better shoes and slightly worse knees). But honestly? It still slaps. The vibe is just as electric, the music is still banging, and the crowd? A beautiful mix of chaos, glitter, and joy. What really stood out this time, though, was the staff. Absolute angels in black T-shirts. Friendly, welcoming, and totally cool—even when I, a seasoned 36-year-old adult, triumphantly paid for drinks with my watch like I’d just discovered fire. I half expected confetti. They were impressed. Or politely pretending to be. Either way, 10/10. It’s rare to return to a place that holds so many memories and have it feel just as special—but The George did it. It's still full of energy, love, and that “anything can happen tonight” feeling. Whether you're there to dance, reminisce, or show off your contactless wizardry, it delivers. Final verdict: 5 stars, one love story, and a bartender who now thinks I’m tech-savvy.
Erik S — Google review
From what we could gather, this was one of the few LGBTQ+ clubs that was open late and had a spot to dance. It was a great space and the atmosphere was fun, but the "no drinks on the dance floor" was a big vibe ruiner. The back patio was packed and I think I inhaled a pack of cigarettes from just being out there. The drinks were a little light on the pour.
Gavin Q — Google review
Free entrance so it’s great, it was packed on a wednesday night for the drag show. The bar is weirdly divided so it’s hard to get a good view, i’d suggest to get there earlier than later to secure a good spot !
Jay P — Google review
The George is the most iconic LGBTQ+ venue in Dublin — a place everyone should experience at least once. It’s full of energy, personality, and history, and it continues to be a welcoming home for the community and allies alike. There’s always something happening, but if you really want a night to remember, try the Sunday Bingo Night — it’s hilarious, chaotic in the best way, and packed with entertainment. The queens know how to put on a show, and the crowd makes it even better. The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is inclusive and joyful, and there’s plenty of space whether you want to dance, chat, or just take in the vibe. Simply put: The George is a must-visit. A celebration of queer culture, community, and fun — and one of the best nights out in Dublin. 🌈✨
Juracy J — Google review
If you want an evening of shenanigans, drag shows, great drinks and lively atmosphere, The George is the place to go! What a night!!
Michael K — Google review
Went for drag bingo on a Sunday. The drag performances were excellent and the dancing after was so much fun! I’m a big believer in tipping great queens, much more common and encouraged in Canada. No one was tipping so I felt a bit weird doing it but they really deserved it! Had a blast.

Since I work in a restaurant I finish quite late. I came here at 11 and I've been refused twice for no reason while they close at half 2. I dint know what's going on with the bearded ginger security guy but thats not fair. The club is lovely, the security not always
Irinel D — Google review
I had a really bad experience at The George last week. The bouncer at the door is always EXTREMELY rude. I’ve seen him talk aggressively to guests and refuse entry for no clear reason. It kind of kills the vibe right at the entrance, which is a pity because everyone else inside is super friendly and professional. The rest of the staff always make the place feel welcoming, but this one guy (a short, heavyset Irish man with a beard and messy hair) really stands out in a bad way. So if you want to enjoy your night properly, avoid this place

L. Mulligan Grocer, located in the evocatively named village of Stoneybatter on the Northside of Dublin, is a gastropub and world-beer emporium that has retained its authentic Dublin feel despite its transformation from an old local grocer. The spot offers a wide selection of small-label ales, lagers, and stouts, making it a destination for beer enthusiasts.
We did not have a reservation, we messed that up. But the host was able to get us seated in under an hour. Honestly, best food drinks and service we have had in our 2 week tour of the UK, British Isles, and Ireland. The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. The chefs outdid themselves. Had the fish and chips and the fish was so fresh and clean tasting, the chips were cooked perfectly, and the tartar sauce was outstanding. The duck wings had the best flavor, juicy and tender. The Bleu cheese dip was so unique and tasty. Our cocktails were amazing. Strong, but amazing! Overall an exceptional experience.

Incredible food! The fish and chips is probably the best one I’ve ever had and the duck wings are not to be missed! Also loved the cauliflower and potato dish, definitely didn’t miss the meat. I love when veggie dishes are thought out and not just an after thought. Highly recommend.

BAR 1661 is a trendy spot located in Parnell Square, Dublin. It's at the forefront of reviving poitin, Ireland's traditional moonshine. The bar has a stylish interior with leather-top stools and dark green wall paneling, creating a cozy atmosphere. Named after the year poitin was banned, BAR 1661 offers an array of cocktails showcasing this once-lost spirit.
Bar 1661 is truly a gem! They offer a fantastic range of cocktails, and my top pick was the “Parts Unknown.” I really enjoyed the welcome cocktails too. The only downside was that the music felt a little too loud at times.

Bar 1661 is IMHO the best cocktail bar in Dublin. It specializes in Irish Poitín, but has everything else you’re craving, too. Roberto and Brenden really did it up for us sitting at the bar, making us some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, letting us try some special tastes, and giving us excellent recommendations for other bars in the area. We also got to meet Qhuy, who was awesome and funny as well. I literally can’t think of a better, more well-rounded crew to man a bar than these guys. I hope I get to come back someday, but if not, thanks Roberto for making it an incredible experience, and I’ll see you at your sisters wedding 💃🏻 (lol obvi)

Nestled on Capel Street, McNeill's Pub is a beloved traditional Irish pub in Dublin. Once a music shop, it now hosts lively Irish music sessions six nights a week, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for locals and tourists alike. The cozy interior features fireplaces and intimate nooks, making it an ideal spot to escape on a rainy day. Live music is offered from Thursday to Saturday, adding to the authentic Dublin nightlife experience.
Such a good scene! There were still tourists around here but the vibes were fantastic. The duo we saw performed some of their own songs and also some trad music, with no mic or electronics. The section they were sitting in they called the "listening zone" and anyone who was talking was told to go sit at the bar or back room, in a joking but serious way. They were amazing performers! They knew how to work the crowd in a very tiny space! Get there between 8-830 to get a seat, there are some pub tours that end the night there so they fill the space. It was a grand time! Bring cash for tips! It's worth it.

Great little pub, with the kind of Irish pub atmosphere you're likely looking for. Staff is friendly and serves a great pint. Order at the bar then take it back to your seat, or stand. Went on a random Saturday night, listened in on the locals talking with the bartender. Playful banter seemed to be the theme of conversation, something about local 'greasy spoons' restaurants and the few remaining in the city. Picked up some good tips on local eateries, just by eavesdropping! ;) At one point, the bartender brought out a 200 year old fiddle to show one of the patrons, didn't get the story behind it though. All in all, a great few hours spent here with my wife. Goes to show, listening while travels takes your further than always trying to be heard! ;) Dublin rocks!

Glorious! The bar does not serve food, but they serve Guinness up cold and poured right. Their is music every night and most nights it squeezing room only as the musicians are incredible and local. The music played here is called "sessions". If you want a true Irish Pub, live music experience and can even make you cry with the feeling behind it; this is the place. The local musicians are real and you can feel their love of the music.

This place came highly recommended by my Irish guide as a real Irish Pub with traditional live music. The place channel old world charm. It is not overly crowded and the toilet is clean. The music starts at 930pm.

I was drawn in by the ROCK sign, curiously hanging above the sex shop next door. Inside, I discovered two musicians belting out Irish folk songs - a welcome change from every other pub where some-guy-and-a-guitar is doing barely passable covers of pop songs of various vintages. McNeill's easily had the best music I've seen in Dublin. I didn't want to leave. Pro-tip: try the Baby Guinness. It's Kahlua topped with Baileys. It really is baby - I had 3 of them and felt fine the next day - but it's delicious. As an ode to my time in San Francisco, I got mine with a side of sparkling water. The bubbles complement the cream nicely!

Hidden gem! It’s small, but has lots of charm. We wandered into the back and found a couple of musicians practicing and enjoyed a lovely private concert while enjoying a mid-day Guinness or two.

If you want a low key bar that features live traditional Irish music almost every night, head to McNeil’s!! Beamish on tap, as well. Not a common thing in Dublin.

Do not miss this pub while in Dublin! Highlight of our trip. Great atmosphere. A band jam session broke out in the back and we were in the front row! Met great locals who were warm and inviting. I would go back again and again!
