Shopping mall
Powerscourt Townhouse Centre is located in Dublin's creative quarter, surrounded by boutiques and design shops offering a variety of products. The center occupies a beautiful Georgian building near Grafton Street and houses over 40 shops and restaurants. It has a strong focus on Irish design, featuring boutiques by local fashion designers and showcasing the best of Irish craft.
I really enjoyed looking around at the shops here. The interior was so beautiful in the shops were very cute in Irish. Beautiful flowers to greet you when you come up the stairs. Another reviewer mentioned that there is an accessible side entrance with a lift. Very well-maintained building and an assortment of cafés and niche storesas well as a cute antique store.

It was a huge surprise for us to discover this amazing place. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Dublin. A real gem, renovated and well maintained! The imposing building has a splendid inner courtyard with superbly appointed restaurants. On the floors we find restaurants, perfumeries, jewelry, florists, boutiques. superb, you can spend a few hours here in a pleasant way!
Maria — Google review
I don’t think many people have visited this place here but it was too elegant and gave exquisite vibes. The interiors and all setup was just stunning, not a tourist spot but a good roam around here will get you stunned at it beauty🩵🩷

Pretty amazing and closed shopping area with a very unique old-timey feel. Beautiful, higher end shops and lots of good eatery choices too.
Cory S — Google review
A wonderful indoor market full of boutiques, cafes and clothes.
Anthony K — Google review
I went to diamond factory here but they have an amazing selection of antique jewelry shops and wedding dresses. I love the many options for food here but it's a bit busy. Nice for exploring. The atmosphere is quite airy and warm. Perfect to escape from the rain.
Una — Google review
I went there for lunch, I eat in the restaurant overlooking the ground floor, the restaurant is named the Pepper-Pot, I had a sausage sandwich with a pot of tea for one. Now I must say that the sandwich is a must, firstly because the relish is mouth watering, the bread is hand cut-thick slices, white and very fresh with greens included in the sandwich. The cups and saucers are old type china and are mixed which I think is very elegant, the teapot was also very quaint which made the whole experience very relaxing and enjoyable.
JOHN Y — Google review
Very nicely refurbished townhouse with a good selection of retailers and restaurants. The beautiful flower shop greets you with a nice array of botanical plants and flowers. As you step further into the courtyard, you are greeted with an array of shops and restaurants. Very nice environment.

Dundrum Town Centre is a prominent suburban shopping destination in Ireland, boasting an extensive array of shops and dining options. It features high-end department stores like House of Fraser and Harvey Nichols, as well as boutiques, sports supply outlets, and stores catering to children. The center's spacious and bright ambiance makes it an inviting place for visitors of all ages. Additionally, the nearby Mill Theatre, mini-golf park, and cinema provide ample entertainment opportunities for both adults and children.
An accessible shopping centre for people living in the City and South of Dublin. Houses a wide range of retail stores, has a big food court with sufficient seating and has many stand alone food outlets too. Has the Cinema, grocery stores, play areas. Perfect for the entire family.
Divya V — Google review
It is possibly one of the best shopping centers in all of Europe. The area is very safe, with excellent quality shops and dining options. The people here are of very good quality. It has access from different areas and even an electric train that goes to the center.
Jose S — Google review
Dundrum shopping centre is a nice place to go for shopping or just stroll, had a cup of coffee. As we entered cold seasons I would avoid as possible to go there during weekend. Too crowded and too noisy, queue to coffee shops. Great that shops opened until 9 p. m during weekdays.
Inga G — Google review
Nice Shopping Centre which is well connected by Road and Tram. It has a great selection of outlets from M&S and Tesco to Pennys and Dunnes. Loads of eateries from a Food Court to Michelin Star Restaurants. my favourites are Cha Time for Boba, Umai for Sushi and the food carts for Churros and Doughnuts. The H&M kids, Easons, Pennys and Dunnes are great for shopping. Loads of Parking spread across multiple floors is great. A must visit if you live anywhere south of the Liffey.
Roshan B — Google review
A really world-class shopping centre. Beautiful and has all the shops one would need, including a Nandos! A fountain, crèche, good accessibility and a beautiful view of the mountains, this centre is my favourite in Ireland by far.

Beautiful experience, so big and clean. Some beautiful Christmas decorations up which were beautiful. 20 percent off in most shops today.

George's Street Arcade, located on Dublin's South Great Georges Street, is a historic shopping plaza that dates back to 1881. It is the oldest shopping center in Ireland and offers an array of indie clothing boutiques, food vendors, bookstores, and jewelry shops. The Victorian redbrick building houses around fifty tenants selling vintage clothes, accessories, books, collectibles, and more. The arcade provides a distinctively Dublin experience with its eclectic mix of boutique and vintage clothes shops at affordable prices.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Dublin Gem That Never Gets Old! I’ve been coming to George’s Street Arcade for over 40 years, and it never loses its magic. This Victorian-style indoor market has such a quaint charm, yet there’s always a buzzing, busy vibe that makes it feel alive every time you step inside. The eclectic mix of vibrant little shops and stalls is second to none — you’ll find artwork, jewellery, vintage clothes, vinyl records, and quirky treasures you simply can’t get anywhere else in Dublin. It’s roofed from the elements, which makes it the perfect spot to wander, explore, and soak up the atmosphere no matter the weather. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this place is absolutely worth a visit — a true Dublin icon that blends history, character, and creativity under one roof.
Loyes D — Google review
George's Street Arcade isn't just a small shopping center: it's an experience. You can find all sorts here, from a psychic reader to vintage clothing to Indian fabrics and framed hand-drawn sketches by local artists. I like the eclectic nature of the shops and the long, elegant hallway with shops on two sides and down the middle.
William L — Google review
ambling through the years... It's been a long time since I was here. Visited with my daughter during the chinese new year, explaining that I used to pass through every weekend and flick through the albums in the record store. The olive shop was also still there. It's one of the oldest markets in Europe with a striking Victorian red brick facade and a typical Dublin history. #ramblingstampcollectors
Rara R — Google review
To be honest, its just an alright small little market. For tourists, I wouldnt really recommend you coming here, there is only one souvenir shop and the rest are mostly hippie shops selling crystals/cds/records etc.
SL W — Google review
An absolute gem, feels like a bit of old Dublin (I'm old enough to remember the Dandelion market). Lots of quirky stalls and little shops, and some excellent coffee. Love this place.
B K — Google review
You will find artisans, boutiques, galleries, used books, delicious food, and more all packed into this mall! All local businesses, which makes this a great stop for people wanting to shop but stray from the more international stores in this area. While the mall opens at 9am, most of the shops aren't open until 10am or 11am.
Ness W — Google review
There are some cool shops here, but it’s mainly cheaply made souvenirs, AI-generated art, and other tacky stuff. Wouldn’t recommend, but if you really want to, just walk through it once. There are other better markets
C.E. W — Google review
Not to be described as a shopping centre or mall, this is one of the oldest covered markets in Europe. It features some beautiful Victorian design embellishments that give it an authentic antique aesthetic. Here you can find great juices, rare old books, vinyl records, spa treatments, pre-loved clothing, jewellery and more in the boutique shops and permanent stalls. Despite its age and antiquity, this is a trendy destination with good footfall as it is located off George’s Street in the city centre.

Department store
Brown Thomas Dublin is a renowned luxury department store in the heart of the city, offering a mix of high-end fashion, accessories, cosmetics, and homeware. It has been a premier shopping destination since 1849 and is often compared to Selfridges. The store features individual boutiques for top international brands like Armani, Balenciaga, Cartier, Hermes and Louis Vuitton. Additionally, it houses an exclusive restaurant run by celebrity chefs Domini and Peaches Kemp.
When in Dublin, indulging in a bit of luxury shopping is almost a tradition. And here’s a delightful incentive: Ireland offers one of the most generous VAT refund schemes in the EU. With a standard VAT rate of 23%, non-EU visitors can reclaim a significant portion of this tax on eligible purchases — making high-end shopping here even more appealing. (Confirmed: Ireland’s tax refund is among the highest in the EU, depending on the item and refund method. You can get as high as 16%!) Assuming prices are fairly standard across Europe, shopping in Ireland can be a smart move thanks to: • English-speaking staff (no language barrier) • Well-stocked boutiques (easier to find what you want) • Friendly and helpful service • Less crowded stores compared to Milan and Paris One of the most popular stops for us? Brown Thomas, Dublin’s premier luxury department store — home to brands like Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Chanel, Dior, and more. It encapsulates all the good qualities I mentioned above. This is a must visit spot if you are into shopping!

I love Jellycat 🐰! Apparently it’s new this March – not as big as the one in London, but they’ve got most of the Ireland-exclusive stuff! 🙌 The shop’s pretty spacious.

I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback about the wonderful experience I recently had at the Armani beauty counter thanks to Camilo. From the moment I was greeted, he made me feel welcome and comfortable. He took the time to truly understand what I was looking for, helped me match the perfect skin tint (which I’m absolutely in love with!), and explained everything about the product in such a knowledgeable and engaging way. Our conversation was lovely—Camilo was professional, kind, and clearly passionate about what he does. He also showed me some additional products that caught my interest, including a blush that unfortunately was sold out in the shade he used on me (I’ll definitely be coming back for it!). This was my first time trying Armani Beauty products, and because of Camilo’s excellent service, I’m confident it won’t be my last. I’ll certainly be returning and will be asking for him again.
Melina P — Google review
Shopping in here is so much fun. The make up department is like a disco, lively music, positive atmosphere, and I love that it's gender neutral, men and women are equally welcome (provided the former are on good behaviour of course, lol). Prices in the clothing department makes it for high rollers only, but overall the store is a fun and trendy place to browse and shop.
Jane O — Google review
Went early Christmas shopping with a friend and saw they updated their perfume range. David from the Maison Crivelli kiosk was very helpful and informative, very easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend looking into the brand if you want something more curated and with some unique scents. I will definitely be coming back to get the Absinthe Boréale for myself.

Hi BT’s, Just wanted to reach out and express what a wonderful customer service experience I had with Holly in your Polo Ralph Lauren concession today. Avoca, with over 10 locations across Ireland, is a must-visit destination. The Kilmacanoge branch stands out for its two award-winning restaurants, beautifully designed terrace, and picturesque gardens. Before leaving, be sure to explore the shop and pick up some products to enjoy at home. In Dublin's Suffolk Street location, visitors can indulge in a food-focused department store spread over seven levels with a deli, coffee shop, and food market offering artisanal treats.
Avoca Rathcoole is located just at the roundabout close to the N7 exit in Rathcoole. It has a relatively affordable restaurant on the first floor that serves customers healthy meals of many different cuisines. There are other retailers in the building on the ground floor that feature gift items from various nationalities. The meal is decent and a more healthy choice compared to fast food. I recently visited Avoca in Rathcoole and had a delightful meal. My dish included a potato accompanied by three salads, which were fresh and flavorful, though a slightly larger portion would have been appreciated. I paired this with a mocha that hit the right balance of richness and sweetness, and indulged in a chocolate cannoli that was utterly delicious. The outdoor seating area was a highlight—the pleasant weather and relaxed atmosphere made it a lovely spot to unwind. However, I do think the metal chairs on the terrace could be reconsidered for greater comfort. Overall, Avoca in Rathcoole offers a charming dining experience, and with minor tweaks, it could be even more enjoyable.

Very nice place with restaurant, market and home decor shop! Good menu, nice atmosphere.
Dara M — Google review
Nice selections, not easy to read GF signs on the food. Staff serving not particularly friendly or attentive to the choices being requested . Felt like the customer was causing bother. Till staff friendly . Certainly not friendly or helpful towards an elderly customer and a Coeliac customer . Food tasted great though.
Maria C — Google review
I am going to sound like Bord Fáilte here but Avoca Rathcoole is much more than a shop it is an experience! The designs in store are beautifully curated, gorgeous selections and a huge variety. I love the layout as it feels like uncovering hidden surprises in corners. It’s a great place to go when looking for a gift to buy. I picked up a sandwich today that was incredible! a combination of chicken ham stuffing and about seven other ingredients, absolutely delicious. I wish I remember the name of the lady who made it for me: the staff are all so friendly and chatty! I find it a great location too just off the N7, it is like a special treat when heading out of the city! that sandwich is long gone, and I’m dreaming of the next one!

Blanchardstown Centre is a bustling indoor shopping destination in Dublin, boasting over 180 stores, numerous eateries, and a nine-screen cinema. The center features anchor tenants like Dunnes Stores, Penneys, Marks and Spencer, H&M, Debenhams, and Zara. Additionally, it houses the Leisureplex entertainment center and Ireland's largest public library. Plans for further expansion are in progress to accommodate even more shops. Visitors can also enjoy the Draiocht arts center nearby.
Plenty of great shops and it's lovely on the inside, I think a better road layout would be good to help with traffic and some bus/taxi only lanes. More buses for the busier routes will be great especially for the 39 and 39A. I love looking at the new cars on display but I wish they were around more often.

Beautiful shopping Center, with a striking modern architecture, full of lively shops, bars and restaurants. An enchanting atmosphere welcomes you at the very entrance, as the aromas of sweet delights perfume the air and the sunlight sparks from the rooftops glass. The shopping experience overall was wonderful!
Eleonora U — Google review
Great place for a concert. Super friendly staff, nice little cafe with some food and drink choice. Nice additional bar service for concerts. Good view in all seats and well mixed sound.
Tom W — Google review
Great centre. Lots of options and easily navigable. Plenty of parking too, the bulk of which is in the Woodies/ TK Maxx retail Park. Plenty of options for lunch and coffee, as well as your standard Fast-Food outlets. Staple anchor stores, Dunnes, Aldi and M&S are in the main centre. The only complaint would be there aren’t enough toilet/ changing room facilities especially when busy. Compare this to all other big shopping centres on the M50 and my point stands. There’s a lovely feel to the centre when walking around. Also, one for the future especially in somewhere so big, a kids indoor play area would bring people into the centre, like Jump Zone in Liffey Valley. Paid parking is coming in 2026 as per all large shopping centres.
Jonathan R — Google review
Great spot with absolutely everything you could need in one place. Loads of shops, plenty of food options, and easy to get around. The centre is clean, well laid out, and there’s a good mix of big brands and smaller stores. Parking is usually straightforward too. Always a handy place to stop when I’m in the area – you can get everything done under one roof
Charlie J — Google review
Its a shopping center just outside Dublin. It gets insanely busy from 11am onwards but it does have lots of parking available in the surrounding areas. Tons of shops inside with great selection and variety and a good location for kids. Do note that there are several shops which are in small retail parks surrounding the center so double check the map to be sure.
Don R — Google review
This place has everything you could possibly need for a day out, from great stores to delicious food options. You can catch a movie, grab a bite, and do some serious retail therapy all under one roof. Plus, there's plenty of parking, which is always a huge plus. Shopping mall
Parking garage
Situated on Mary Street, Jervis Shopping Centre is a bustling multilevel mall featuring over 55 brand-name stores and casual eateries. It has solidified its position as one of Dublin's most successful shopping destinations, offering a diverse range of fashion, leisure, and technology outlets along with an expanding selection of dining options.
A Jervis shopping center is located in the heart of Dublin city center, with all its advantages and disadvantages! Parking is relatively easy but also very expensive! So if someone doesn't want to pay 15 euros for a day's parking, they should try using public transport! Unfortunately, due to the city center location, there are many homeless people and some sketchy individuals in the plaza. However, the center itself is clean and has a good selection, and we are easily in the city where more shops are available.

Good on practice if your not looking for this year's or last year's shoes sale price can be good. we could all do with some good price now and again staff are very helpful and friendly I never have to wait to long for size or at the till place can be very busy at peak time's so if your not one for crowd's go early or late evening over all fun friendly shop well worth a look who's what you May fined for Easter.

Jervis Shopping Centre is a fantastic place for shoppers, with over many brand-name stores and casual eateries. Located on Mary Street, one of Dublin's busiest shopping streets, it's easily accessible by public transport, including the Luas red line at Jervis stop. JD Sports, Bershka, Stradivarius, New Look, Topshop, Best Menswear Currys, Superdrug are few of the outlets. Parking available at €15 Toilets were well-maintained.
Chitrangee C — Google review
A lively and convenient shopping centre right in the heart of Dublin. Jervis Shopping Centre has a great mix of shops, from popular high-street brands to smaller boutiques. The layout is easy to navigate, and the central location makes it ideal for combining shopping with a stroll through the city centre. There’s a good choice of cafés and food options, making it a nice place to take a break during a day in town. The atmosphere is always buzzing — especially at weekends — but it generally feels safe and well managed. The facilities are kept clean, lifts and escalators work reliably, and there’s usually a friendly vibe among both staff and shoppers. It can get quite busy at peak hours, but that’s part of its city-centre energy. A solid, reliable shopping destination with something for everyone — from clothes and tech to food and homeware. Great spot to pick up a few bits or spend a couple of hours browsing. 🛍️☕
Charlie J — Google review
Jervis Shopping Centre is a top-pick when you want convenience, variety and a bit of Dublin’s energy in one place. Located centrally in the city, it’s easy to reach whether you’re shopping, meeting friends or just exploring. You’ll find a little bit of everything: fashion, tech, toys, food — all in one building rather than hopping between streets. What stands out is how the space blends into the city’s history: the building has character and it doesn’t feel like just another mall. Inside, it’s bright, clean and well laid-out, and there’s enough choice that you can spend an hour just browsing or two hours looking for something specific. If I’m honest, it does get busy and a bit crowded at peak times, so if you prefer slower shopping, going early or late afternoon is better. But if you’re up for the buzz, Jervis delivers — and it’s the kind of place where you can walk in with a mission, grab what you need, maybe do a little extra, and still feel like you had a good outing.
Juracy J — Google review
A lively and convenient shopping mall on the north side of Dublin. It offers a great variety of shops and restaurants, and the bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The centre also has a multi-storey paid car park with plenty of spaces, making it easy to visit if you’re driving. Overall, a comfortable and accessible place to shop, dine, and spend a few hours.

Book store
Hodges Figgis, established in 1768 and now under the management of Waterstones, is a renowned four-level bookstore located opposite Trinity College. It offers an extensive collection of academic books due to its proximity to the college, but also boasts a notable selection of Irish-centric literature covering various genres such as photography, travel, nature, folklore, and cookery. The bookstore hosts regular events with visiting authors and features a substantial bestsellers section.
This is a fantastic shop with loads of books from all different genres. There’s a great collection of art books, a friend of mine came here looking to pick up a Taschen. There’s also a nice selection of books about Ireland’s culture, landscape, and history, past and present.
Mary N — Google review
An amazing bookstore I loved to discover while I traveled to Dublin. I highly advise any book lovers to come there to discover. They have a lot of choice, the place is huge but not too much. Perfect ⭐️
Laura B — Google review
Hodges Figgis is a book lover's dream, a wonderful place. Founded in 1768, it's the oldest bookstore in Ireland and one of the oldest in the world. The selection of books of all sorts is extensive, and nicely arranged, so that, if you're seeking, say, kill and thrill (i.e., crime) fiction, you can find a big selection of books of that sort on a table and then on nearby shelves. The selection of Irish-themed books — both fiction and non-fiction — is, of course, outstanding. The store is very pleasant and elegant, on top of it all, and every staff member with whom I dealt when I browsed and shopped there today was exceedingly helpful and friendly.
William L — Google review
As a bookworm, I definitely had to visit the oldest bookstore in Ireland and it did not disappoint. I loved the section dedicated to Irish authors and stories, I got three books from there as I was in Ireland on a trip. The selection is wonderful (even many beautiful editions to choose from for some of the more popular books) and the store is set up perfectly to find exactly what you’re looking for. I could have spent hours here! 📚

The Irish Design Shop is a popular destination for shoppers in Dublin who are looking for traditional and modern Irish handicrafts, gifts, jewellery and home items. The store is run by jewellers Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey who have been championing Irish makers and designers since 2008.
Regular customer for the past 3 years! I love every single handmade ceramics, the riso prints, the colourful macrames, the throws from Donegal, the wooden bowls and more... at Irish Design Shop. Incredible choices. Great quality. I strongly recommend. So far the best team too 🥰
Stéphanie C — Google review
I’ve purchased some incredible things over the years in Irish Design Shop. The team are always incredibly helpful and great to speak with. It’s refreshing to see the grá that they all have for what they do and the support they give the Irish design & craft community. It’s the perfect place to pick up some unique gifts or a treat for yourself. It’s a huge shame to see the challenges that they are seeing on Drury street that they have been an integral part of for years. I picked up this beautifully framed Strangford print from them recently and I’m delighted with it. To all the team in Irish Design Shop… keep doing all the good things you’re doing xxx

Updated review: thank you for responding, I swung by to give it another look and I’m very glad I did. My first review was about the shop next door. Yep I’m an idiot. Now the real store is a treasure as described, with lovely pieces of Irish art and crafts from all over the island. I bought a few things. The shopping atmosphere is quiet and peaceful and the staff were warm and welcoming. Sorry for my mistake! Original review: Cute store but nothing really Irish about it. I was hoping for more.

What a lovely shop run by lovely folks! It has a lot of locally-crafted Irish goods and souvenirs. I’d recommend this over the tacky, tourist trap stores any day
C.E. W — Google review
Two floors brimming with unique, Irish made gifts. Everything here has been lovingly curated and thoughtfully displayed, and you can be sure to find something that suit your budget. From soaps and skincare products, stationary, candles and ceramics, to fine jewellery, art prints and luxurious woollen blankets. One of the things I love most about Ireland is the flourishing arts and crafts industry. It can only thrive when there is a willingness from the community to pay a little bit more for something that is made locally, is of good quality and will last a long time. The Irish Design shop embodies this, and when you shop here you’ll not only support a lovely local shop but numerous independent makers and artists across Ireland.
Vy N — Google review
Irish Drsign Shop is a nice site that showcases Irish produced crafts. Although each floor has a small footprint but the 2 floors are packed with some pretty great products: linen napkins, handmade soap, handmade wooden utensils, etc. The staff are also very knowledgeable about the crafts people whose products they carry. The handmade quilt on display was also a great example of Irish craftsmanship. Go if you want to purchase some beautiful Irish handmade craft pieces.

Market
The Temple Bar Food Market is a vibrant and bustling market located in Dublin's City Centre, open every Saturday from 10AM to 4:30PM. Established in 1997 by Irish farmers and producers, the market offers a wide range of fresh seasonal produce, artisanal cheeses, olives, freshly made hummus and pesto. Visitors can also find delicious cakes, breads, cold meats, nuts, seeds and cereals.
The Temple Bar Food Market is open every Saturday at Meeting House Square (~9:30 to 15:00). After a few years with a lower number of stalls, local independent traders are coming back. They even had live music the last couple of times we went by. Worth trying most things, but definitely the seeded bread from Sourdough Sisters and the organic vegetables from McNally's Family Farm.
Jorge R — Google review
Nothing to write home about. A few stalls, not a real vibrant market like the great ones in London and Germany. Only opens on Saturdays. Think I'll stick to London's great food markets, done properly there 7 days a week.
Carl M — Google review
This market has lot of potential but very few stands, instead looks shabby. I come here as there is a stand with buffalo mozzarella and olives from Italy which is not that bad, there are literally 4/5 stands in a square where you can fit 10/12 I’d say! First of all the coffe stand is horrible! Seriously the coffee taste very bad! Then, the cake place… nothing is fresh there! Nothing, I had a sausage roll paid 4euros (in centra is 1 euro made same day) was so old I was disgusted! The rest is super overpriced, I mean supposed to be a market, markets usually are relatively cheap otherwise I would go in Follon&byrne
Eleonora M — Google review
Great place, went on Saturday great food choices. Enjoyed my day works till 3.30.
Diana S — Google review
not bad, but nothing special. there are about half of a dozen stands (if even that many). one selling produce, one meat, one cheese, a couple of pastries and another for coffee. I did very much enjoy the coffee and pastry I got (from two different vendors). nothing i would go out of the way for, but if in the are it would be very quick for you to swing through.
Jill G — Google review
Not a food market per se, just 5 or 6 stands (and not all of them were selling food to eat there)
Patxi I — Google review
There could have been a lot more food stalls.
Victor S — Google review
I was intrigued to visit this market since I heard a lot about it but never get the chance until few days ago. Besides a couple of stands with mozzarella, cheese and olives, that are not that bad (the stand with cheese allow you to taste some before you buy it), there are few stands more. Nothing special. There is a truck where you can buy a box of meat, which I tried at Merrion Square during the food market there, which is quite good, a stand with cakes, that seems not tasty at all, and a stand with bread. It's a pity because there is space to host other stuff, so it has potential, but it seems wasted.

A little gem in the heart of Dublin. This boutique sells a small selection of tasteful pieces and clothes that you won't easily find in other shops in Dublin, and most of which are Irish made. They are certainly not cheap but they are of great quality and unique design, so the quality-price ratio is good. It's here I bought an Electronic Sheep scarf that has been admired many a times on my travels abroad! From well-known brands like Dunnes Stores, Argos, Boots, and TK Maxx to unique boutiques such as Asha, Cactus, and Retro Nation, the center caters to a wide range of tastes.
I come here every time I’m in Dublin. The architecture inside is so ornate and intricate while still looking very light and bright. I would come here and check out the little shops. I particularly loved Flying Tiger even thought they’re all over, I enjoyed seeing it.
Mary N — Google review
Stephen's Green Shopping Centre is worth a visit if only to see the interesting architecture, high vaulted ceiling of glass and lots of pretty ironwork, inside the building. The shops you'll find inside pretty much cater to tourists — lots of "gifts from Ireland" shops and American chains. I'm surprised that the selection of places to eat or have a cup of coffee or tea are so limited. But, then, all around this area of the city, there are eateries and coffee shops galore.

PStephen's Green Shopping Centre: A Five-Star Shopping Icon! 🛍️🏰🌟 Stephen's Green Shopping Centre is an absolute five-star jewel in the heart of Dublin! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This isn't just a place to shop; it's a major city landmark famous for its distinctive and flamboyant architecture. Affectionately nicknamed the "Wedding Cake" by locals, the building's striking design features a massive glass-domed atrium, intricate white ironwork, and bright, airy spaces that feel more like a Victorian conservatory than a modern mall. It's a fantastic spot for people-watching and photography! 📸 Located right at the top of Grafton Street and directly across from St. Stephen's Green Park, it’s the perfect hub for retail therapy. Inside, you'll find over 100 shops, offering a great mix of major international retailers and small, independent Irish boutiques. Whether you need high-street fashion or a unique gift, you’ll find it here, along with a lively food court to refuel. 🍔☕ **Bonus History:** Before the centre was built, the site hosted the famous Dandelion Market, where **U2** played some of their very first concerts! 🎸 For its unique look, incredible location, and excellent retail mix, Stephen's Green Shopping Centre is a Dublin essential. 🫂🙏🏻👑✝️🇸🇪☘️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿💚⭐️

Very beautiful, differently designed mall.Recognisable for its distinctive glass-domed atrium and “wedding cake” exterior of layered white ironwork—often compared to a Mississippi steamboat or ornate conservatory. The interior is bright and airy, with sweeping staircases, a central clock, and a layout that encourages strolling but has been described as confusing on upper levels . A mix of major high-street names—like Dunnes Stores, Boots, TK Maxx, Argos—with independent retailers (e.g. Asha, Retro Nation, Irish craft shops like The Donegal Shop and Celtic Spirit) Cafés and eateries popular with shoppers include Butlers Chocolate Cafe, McDonald’s, Nando’s, Elephant & Castle, and others suited to quick bites or sit-down meals. Additional services inside the centre: lifts and disabled access on all floors, baby‑changing/feeding areas, toilets that are cleaned hourly, plus key‑cutting and postal facilities
Malik S — Google review
Stephens green shopping centre is an old centre, but has great character and lots of good shops. Amico fashion has just opened their first shop and it's in this shopping centre. I love the quality of their clothes and they have an opening sale on, so if your looking for great mens clothes this is the place to get them. The rest of the centre has a dunnes shop and lots of other shops. My only problem is the cost of parking there, 5 euro per hr is very steep.
Paul L — Google review
Nice shopping centre, I really love how the roof is styled like a big greenhouse. Unfortunately though, everything seemed to close very early. I was here at 6:00 pm and at least half if not more of the stores were closed

We popped into this mall on a Saturday with the intention of seeing the famine exhibit. We decided against it when we noticed the kids weren't going to tolerate it (tired). Instead we walked around and looked in a few shops. The mall seemed a bit dead in some areas, with shops closed and unlit. It was a surprise to me that they'd be shut at that time, so I did wonder if they are permanently closed down. My favourite store was the souvenir store on the bottom floor (Carol's I believe). We managed to get iron on/sew on patches for the travel blankets my kids collect patches on.

John O’Hare was fantastic! From the moment we spoke he took the time to get to know exactly what we were looking for. We were looking for a specific couch, and table. He even brought out a tape measure to measure the couch we were looking at so that we could make sure that it would fit our space. He then built us a custom quote and did not pressure us in the slightest. He was so wonderful to deal with. Everyone should take their sales approach like John. Thank you John for all of your help. We hope to be back next week to secure the sale!

Dundrum Town Centre is the biggest mall in Dublin and it really lives up to the hype. The parking area is massive, literally the size of a football field, so you never have to worry about finding a spot. Inside, the mall has all the major brands, and the best part is that the stores are actually well-stocked, with a great variety of clothes always available. It’s one of the most convenient and comprehensive shopping experiences in the city.

Shopping centre is fantastic, a vast selection of shops, from small to big names. Very clean toilets, food courts and in general I think it's one of the best in Dublin. However being the top dog comes with the price. There is always heavy traffic when getting there and also plenty of premium shops and brands, however the shopping also attract a number of not well behaving little teen buggers, that are loud and messing around with a security and not only.
Bart P — Google review
One of Dublin’s better shopping destinations with something to cater to all tastes. There is a plethora of options available for shopping. It is well laid out in a straight forward line with high street fashion all along. The only negative is that they now charge for parking. The market features over 25 stalls that come to life on weekends, attracting both locals and visitors. Conveniently situated near the DART station, it's an ideal spot for leisurely browsing before embarking on a cliff walk or visiting the pier.

Some nice tourist souvenirs to pick up from your holiday, and then you have a whole range of pubs, cafes, seafood restaurants, wine bars, fish and chips, within a few minutes walk. Very close to Dart station. Mind those seagulls. They might steal your food if you blink 😉 Howth is always worth visiting!

Travelled to Howth Market via bus then train from Dublin centre, was right near the train station. Between 4-6 Lovely street food stalls and a couple of jewellery stalls. Bought some chilli honey from a guy who specializes in local honey. A little underwhelming so knocked off a star but only because of how small the market was with a small amount of vendors. I also think if you have a jewelery store, you should have only one, so there's more variety.

I work in specialty coffee in the United States, and this was the best coffee I had in Dublin! This cafe was not on my list, but just so happened to stumble across it on my trip. The baristas were so kind and patient while I decided which pour over to get. They even suggested some after I shared which kinds of coffees/processes I typically enjoy. The filter I picked was perfect as well as the take away iced matcha. It was really fun to look in the retail spaces upstairs as well. Would have definitely bought some home items if I didn’t have to worry about getting them home. Go here on your next stop in Dublin!

Absolutely delicious coffee — probably one of the best I’ve ever had! Fruity, full of flavor, and with a unique profile that’s almost like a blend between coffee and tea. Friendly staff and a pleasant little shop. Mostly focused on coffee to-go. Just note there are no toilets, and prices are on the higher side, most expensive coffee I’ve ever had!
Lucas K — Google review
The staff here are really friendly, and the atmosphere is so stylish! The cozy café on the first floor is perfect for grabbing a quick drink or snack. Plus, the shop spans 3 floors and features a great selection of various brands. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Such a great coffee. Every time with no flaws. So no, I dont mind paying a lot for a coffee when its this good. Unlike some other places in Temple Bar

A decent spot of a quick or on the go coffee. Indigo & cloth has many cool brands(soap, lotions, mugs, cloth, etc) to shop as well while you’re there.

If you want to try Dublin the best coffee. This is that place. Baristas are all very friendly. You'll never be bored there with coffee and music. Definitely recommend

The best coffees that I ever had. The perfect vibe, you can go there and get all the information about the coffees with the baristas. Also if you need a good place to eat, they know every good spot in Dublin. Andy, Scott, Ran, Keelan and Luke are wonderful people. Too much love for this place.

Nestled in the heart of Dublin, Moore Street Market is a vibrant open-air market that has been a part of the city since the 18th century. The cobblestone street is lined with vendors offering an array of goods, from local produce and meat to imported items like tropical fruits. Visitors can immerse themselves in the bustling atmosphere and stock up on ingredients for dinner, ranging from Irish products to goods from Asia and Africa.
Whenever we have a long stay in Dublin, we love coming here for our fruit needs, (which we eat a lot of), We must say we don't know, how they do it for the price, it is so cheap and excellent value, most items are a euro, for a bag, the best i have seen so far is 12 bananas for one euro, the melons are also very cheap, It is not as many stalls as there once was however, there few there are have amazing bargains.

Moore Street Market just off Henry Street has been in existence since the 18th century. The selling of fruit and vegetables continues alongside the wares of newcomers who have injected the market with new life since the 90’s. Walking Moore Street is a visceral experience of past, present and future Dublin all at once for the curious visitor. Thank you to all the lovely vendors who gave permission for these photos.

Excellent market . Lots of stores .people are warm . Xmas stores are open now from November through to January.
Rashaad E — Google review
Like other reviews have pointed out the market has killed the businesses on this street. The street is covered in filth, in both booths and actual dirt. One booth selling knockoff Apple equipment and fake Nike's was literally yelling at people walking by to buy something or shut up and go (using explicit language and gestures). Sad to see one lovely stall selling great produce and being kind to customers next to a stall selling produce that was questionable as to source and health standards. Overall the street is disgusting, atmosphere is bad vibes, and I would spend a dime nor a second of time here.

End of October visit. Lower review possibly due to off-season. Small market, mostly produce and fruit, Don't expect farm-fresh, think imported bananas etc and a few artisan/trinket sellers.

Terrible place. First time I decided to try buying veggies there and will never do it again. Long story short. A fair-haired lady in approx. her fifties selling food was screaming at me as mad using all the cursing words she knew, after I just asked if I could pick tomatoes myself (because I saw there were spoiled ones). Such terrible aggressive people shouldn’t work there. All street could hear it .. people standing by was asking me if I was ok and saying how rude it was. The tent was between Asian Spices and O’Rahilly Parade. Who knows what she is selling if she reacts like that, stay away …

ILAC Shopping Centre is a bustling shopping destination housed in a charming Georgian building just off Grafton Street. With over 40 shops and restaurants, it proudly supports Irish design with boutiques featuring local fashion designers and craft artisans. The historic center also hosts Dublin's Central Library, offering a diverse shopping experience from trendy fashion to homewares. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options while exploring the numerous stores, making it a convenient one-stop destination for all their needs.
Variety of shops, very spacious. Seating areas for a rest break when doing a lot of shopping is necessary for many, so helpful. Clean and atmosphere eclectic with superb seasonal interior design. Impressed! Love to visit again. Recommended.
Lennon M — Google review
“The ILAC Centre has a few decent shops and a handy location right in the city centre, but it’s definitely showing its age. The place feels a bit run down and could really do with a full refurbishment. Lighting is dull, and parts of the centre feel tired and uninviting. Unfortunately, it also attracts some unsavoury characters, which can make the atmosphere uncomfortable at times. Security presence could be stronger to help improve that. That said, it’s still useful for quick errands and has a few solid stores, but it’s not somewhere you’d want to spend much time browsing.”

This shopping centre is very interesting. Of course, it has shopping, restaurants, and groceries, but it also includes a library on the top floor. However, a lot of people use it to cut the way between buildings.

My elderly father bought a pair of silver shoes at the Mondo store from a saleswoman who sold him a poor-quality, unbranded women's shoe. He didn't even realize it was a women's shoe at the time, as you know how the elderly can be. The receipt also described them as "ladies' sneakers," which he didn't notice because he doesn't speak English. I asked her to take them back and issue a refund. Even though I explained that she sold him a women's item and I spoke his language, which she also speaks, she said it didn't matter. In addition to her lack of honesty with the customer and elderly consumers, she is a terrible professional. You don't sell merchandise to an elderly person without explaining what they're buying, and if you make a mistake, you should at least give the money back. She didn't. As a result, here I am sharing my story. We left the merchandise there and I will reimburse my father myself. I hope this salesperson and this store, which lacks quality and respect, have a good end.

As with all organic and farm fresh food you pay a little extra but your encouraged to recycle and got money of milk when returned the bottles. I can’t say the service was super friendly but it was a bank holiday and is also a bookstore, not a restaurant. That being said, the bookstore itself is lovely. There are a variety of Oscar Wilde quotes all over the store that are pretty funny. They have a good selection of children’s books and Irish fiction. We had our wedding in Hens Teeth in December 2024. It was the perfect venue choice. The team were absolute dreamboats to work with. Everyone from our nannies and aunties, to our best pals, to our little girls had a ball. The outdoor drinks reception and the delicious food, wine & cocktails were the biggest highlights for our guests. The look and feel of the space are what made the day for us. We picked Hen's Teeth as our venue for our August wedding. It was perfect. Orla was fantastic. She had everything running smoothly on the day and we were able to relax and enjoy our day. The venue itself is in an L shape with tall windows, a gorgeus retro backdrop and a beautiful painted mural on the main wall. Lighting is warm and cosy. There's a disco ball too for some extra fun! Food was great. Even our picky eaters enjoyed it. We had our ceremony there as well and after, they rearranged the area for family style dinner. Tables were decorated exactly as I asked. Overall was perfect. Great staff, great atmosphere, very relaxed, highly recommend for a stress free wedding.

I shot three gorgeous wedding here this year {I’m a wedding photographer - Wild Things Wed} & Hen’s Teeth is fast become my fave alternative city venue! I just love the vibe of the space - it’s a mix of industrial/exposed features, colourful murals {I think these change a few times a year} and funky decor - think disco balls, neon signs & cool art prints. It’s perfect for a cool, relaxed city wedding. From a photographer perspective it’s really easy to shoot here. There’s loads of light coming in from a full wall of huge windows and you’re in a really cool party of Dublin for some couple portraits out on the street. Hopefully I’ll be back here loads more :D

The staff are incredibly kind and friendly, the kitchen is also able to accommodate our dietary requirements which is greatly appreciated. The drinks are also lovely, I tried the yuzu spirits which was the perfect combination to the evening.

This is a place mixture of gallery shop & wine bar with creative food served. We came for dinner. The portion of the food size wasn’t big as compared to normal restaurant, so it’s more like a place for a few drinks and some snacks. In fairness, the dishes are really creative. I quite enjoyed. Reservations needed & no beers available, only wine or cocktails!

Dublin 8 from it‘s tasty side - Hen‘s Teeth is a Art Gallery, Fine foods haven and Bistro at the same time. Choose from local Art and produce and indulge in the superb sweets and pantry items they carry. The food from the bistro is super tasty- especially the Truffle pudding and surf&turf were among our highlights. The wine list cannot cope with the excellent food they serve - not much selection and wines in tap are average. Still definitely worth a visit for great time at a cool and laidback spot.

Love this shop! Independently owned (which is becoming a rarity in Dublin), it’s got a soul and sense of responsibility that you don’t find in the bigger chains. They stock gorgeous furniture, lighting, home accessories, lifestyle and unique gifts. Many of the suppliers are unique to Ireland and every time I visit there’s a new brand to discover. The in store cafe offers the best chocolate brownie you will ever taste!

I love this store and it's always a go to and place I recommend people go while visiting Dublin from the US. The brands are high quality and stylish - I've bought everything from lamps to candles (they're fantastic) to stationary to pet accessories and often buy home gifts for friends. The staff are friendly and they also have great coffee. The watermelon tote bags they sell, the proceeds of which go to organizations aiding Palestinians during the ongoing atrocities against them, also provides a small way to show support for people in the most need. I will continue to support businesses that value humanity and have the courage to show support (I cannot believe as humans we've reached such a point that small acts of humanity are shunned by some and who then aim to hurt small, local shops). Remember that supporting a group of people being intentionally targeted does not equate to antisemitism.

I love their carefully chosen pieces — each one feels like it was picked with a deep understanding of great design for homes. But just as much as I admire their taste, I value their sensitivity to human rights and awareness of what’s happening in the world. Dublin Vintage Factory is a down-to-earth secondhand clothing shop located in the Fashion Quarter Street. Formerly known as Golly Gosh Boutique, it was re-launched in 2013 by T, D&A (Terri, David, and April). The store offers a wide array of men's and women's vintage and second-hand clothing and accessories.
Love this shop. I felt at home. Staff very helpful and friendly. Vintage jewellery clothes shoes bags you name it. For men and women

Get all my shirts here now they're lovely, SO much more affordable than other vintage shops. I got a jacket here that I wear all the time, a coat here that's the one I mainly use and I love how comfortable all the clothes here are Staff are very friendly and helpful as well Only thing is that it really need a new changing room! The doors have to be positioned very carefully so they don't swing open and lightly brushing off of them will push them open

Cool clothes, but the minimum per kilo spend is 8 euro, which isn’t advertised in the store. So you might spend more than you should for a by-the-kilo deal. I was buying a very light top, so it cost a lot more than expected since the minimum spend wasn’t displayed.

Very crowded but has great selection. 30 euros per kg was a good deal

loved the store so much:) loved the pants section, especially if you're more into low rises! really hoped I could've spent more time in there only con is that there is only 1 fitting room wherd you can bring max 3 pieces, but many people don't respect this unfortunately overall such a cool store, if I'm ever visiting Dublin again I'll def come back:)

Lovely hidden gem in Dublin, and an amazing, locally-owned bookstore with some serious gems and old books!

I bought a Samuel Beckett edition (Molloy, Malone dies, The Unnamable: A Trilogy, No 71, The Traveller's Companion Series, published by the Olympia Press, Paris, 1959) at Ulysses Rare Books for 250 euros, two days ago. And today, I found the same edition, in exactly the same good condition, few metres away at Hodges Figgis bookstore, at the price of 100 euros. I'm shocked...!!!

Was walking in the neighborhood yesterday and happened to pass by this bookstore. Lovely little spot full of rare and antique books, including some fantastic children’s editions, which I think my niece would appreciate more. The owner’s sound and happy to help. Perfect for anyone after unique finds. Definitely popping back soon.

Designist is a great design-led gift and homeware store on South Great George's Street, stocking a range of beautiful, useful and affordable products. Their service is always excellent, and they are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy. I highly recommend them!
This is not the first time I have bought from designist. So I was confident purchasing from them again online. I recently bought Little Book of Garden Birds - Sound Book as a gift for an Aunt who loves birds. It is a beautiful book with interesting facts and realistic bird sounds! I also purchased Tide Clock - surf blue as myself and my partner love taking our dogs to the beach and this is a great way to check the tide before leaving the house. Also it is very well crafted and looks beautiful on the wall. Both items arrived very quickly and were lovingly packed. I would highly recommend this shop

I think it’s unfair. It’s unfair to name a table lamp Galway while it’s made in China. That lamp cost 75 euros. It’s just not fair. You know, we try to support local small shops but it seems that we can’t.

Was looking for a valentines card and wanted to support local Irish businesses. Came across this website which has the most beautiful cards! Ordered two on a Tuesday, arrived 2 days later. I was so happy with the quality of the cards and speed of delivery that I've ordered more.

I was looking to support Irish business this year due to Covid and came across this website. I put the order in for some Christmas cards and new baby cards at 1pm Friday. at 2.30pm Friday I got an email saying it was sent out and the cards arrived Monday. Cannot believe how quick the service and delivery was. Firstly the quality of the cards and envelopes were the best I have ever bought. Considering the prices are so reasonable I was not expecting the cards to be of such good quality. The hand written card from the company saying thank you was a lovely added touch. Would highly recommend! I will back to shop online

Absolutely obsessed with this boutique!! 🥰 There is a huge range of handmade Irish accessories, cute outfits and other adorable bits. The staff was lovely, and gave my mum & I surprise freebies 😁 Will definitely be stopping by again when I’m back in Dublin 💕

The most beautiful boutique I've seen in Dublin (and anywhere). The decoration is simply exquisite, gorgeous, with so much attention to detail. It's worth checking out even if you don't think the clothes will be your style, just because the place is so pretty (and I think you'd find something you like anyway, since there's good variety). The staff is really nice and friendly. I love the fact that there are 3 areas, (contemporary, vintage and Irish designer) it makes the experience so fun, and I don't know which area I liked better, they were all amazing! I'm so surprised there were such few people, and that there aren't that many reviews. The prices are what you'd expect from such a place, and there's honestly really good range. There is expensive stuff, of course, but I saw equally pretty things at lower prices, you just have to pay good attention. Definitely a hidden pearl in the city.

Wow! I was in Dublin on vacation from the States and was in the hunt for local crafts and local jewelry. This place is an amazing treasure trove of wonderful items!!! Everything was so beautifully curated and laid out. Absolutely fabulous. I got so many lovely locally made items to bring back home. Make sure you have cash as those items are cash only. Also amazing customer service, they wrapped my delicate items with such care and patience. A must visit for any person who loves delightfully quirky and unique crafts!

Amazing finds of actual vintage clothing, great atmosphere, loved the categorized by color sections. If you are lucky to visit during low prices, it will be a great place for shopping, other than that, during regular prices I do not recommend going there since the quality of items are too low for their price range. Still, one of my favorite stores in Dublin

Arran Street East is a pottery studio and gift shop located in Smithfield, a historic and vibrant area of the city. The gift shop sells beautiful hand-thrown ceramic pieces that are both functional and simple to look at. Sustainability is important to Arran Street East, so they use environmentally friendly packaging and materials whenever possible. Additionally, the studio hosts pottery classes for people of all levels to learn more about this unique art form.
Attended the full day pottery wheel throwing workshop this Saturday. It was such a great class, only 7 people were in the group so it was a nice size. Everyone got one on one time with the teacher. We got to try make multiple pieces. In the beginning of the day it was very daunting but we were all flying by the end. The teacher was very informative and personable, making sure to learn everyone’s names was a nice touch. Would definitely attended another class.

We really enjoyed our afternoon at Arran Street East. We were looking for something social and creative. Everyone got caught up in the act of making and it was a lovely way to celebrate the different personalities of our studio. Gael was great at guiding us through the experience and the different hand building techniques. I'd recommend it as a team exercise that it perfect for all abilities — there were twelve of us but would work well for smaller numbers too.

I want to give this ceramics shop 6 stars! I was captivated by the form and colors they had.all the colors are based on local fruits and vegetables. Here you see my ‘cabbage’ inward pot. I bought as much as I could for myself and for travel gifts. Really lovely shop and the shop keepers were patient and helpful.

I have purchased many of their lovely bowls, cups and others and love everything they make. My gf mother saw them on her last visit and now she wants some as well. Can't recommend highly enough.
Timothy S — Google review
First of all, instructor is amazing. He knows his craft, patient, gentle and passionate about it. So class part, amazing. However, the facility is not well equipped for classes in my opinion and for what they are offering, €85 for a class is quite pricey in my opinion. First of all, There was no sink for you to wash hands after all the clay with the wheels. So you are asked to wipe your hands with the towel you are asked to bring in and leave. No handwashing. Second of all, no firing the clay work and no glazing. So you can take back the clay you molded in the box you are asked to bring in and that’s it and you pay €85 for jt. I have been to Arran street east in 2019 and took two classes there. At that time, they offered cloth apron, handwashing, firing the piece, glazing it and you can pick up later. I still use that bowl I made in 2019 and all package for wayyy less price. I understand the inflation and prices increase but €85 for no usable piece, no handwashing, no apron ( instructor gave out plastic ones to those who didn’t bring in their own apron later but this could have been included in €85), no towel for you to wipe hands as you cannot wash your hands, is just a bit too much for me. I was about to attach some pics of my previous visit for proof but I decided not to as it might be misleading for some as they don’t offer those firing and glazing anymore.
Koont H — Google review
With my best friend we went for the throwing course during this fall of 2023. We really enjoyed each one of the class, we had a very productive learning time and it was also a very disconnecting and joyful experience. We would really recommend this class for anyone willing to learn about throwing pottery with the best professional team!

I did the week long beginners class. It was fantastic, the teacher, Gayle was amazingly helpful and encouraging. It has made me want to continue messing with clay and making shapely pots! I bought some bits too which were amazing value considering all the work that goes in to each piece.

Bright, colourful design shop with a thoughtfully curated collection of candles, kitchenware, textiles, stationary and notebooks, accessories, books, art posters, and decor. Perfect if you’re looking for something unique and high quality. Many items are made in Ireland, but you can also find some stuff from abroad. The cards are fun to look at and although some of the items are on the pricier end you can easily pick up something nice for €30-50. They rotate items regularly so I like to pop in for a browse every 2-3 months.

Mam & I visited the archive exhibition in the Clerys quarter today. Mam & dad worked there in the 70's & she wanted to see what might be on show. Although I booked our tickets online we weren't asked to show anything when we arrived. The 1st thing that you will spot as you walk towards the main entrance to Clerys on O'Connell St is the newly unveiled refurbished Clerys clock- the site of many meetings throughout the decades. The Clerys plates remain on the walls on either side of the entrance. I will fully admit that I didn't feel the warm, welcoming feeling that you got from the old Clerys, the new version whilst still under construction is bright but it's cold and more like the ground floor of an American office block but that could all change once the different shops start moving in and the customers start to return. The archives itself was an interesting walk through the history of the building from it's start as the Imperial Hotel to the Clerys department store that took on apprentices who learned from the ground up and the various people & companies that held contracts to provide homemade goods from cabinets to knitwear. Whilst we'd have loved to see more photos of the staff throughout the years (which might be a good idea to do at a later stage) we certainly enjoyed reading about the history & getting to see some of the original historical documents & items.

The expert guides share captivating stories as guests explore recreated distillery scenes, culminating in tastings and dining experiences.
It was incredible experience. Our tour guide was amazing. First you get free welcome drink - you have 3 options from Jameson (Jameson with lime and ginger is amazing). Then you go to first room, it’s about history of Jameson. Second room is about how to make Jameson and on third you learn about differences, how to smell and taste different Jamesons. With this guide, it was really amazing and I could stay longer than 45 minutes.

My wife and I took this tour on a Monday morning a few hours before our flight home and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was very animated and obviously loved his job! Great tour through history all the way to current time. Definitely recommend this tour for any whiskey aficionados or anyone with just a taste for Jameson.
Philip S — Google review
I paid about $26 for the Jameson Distillery tour and it was worth every penny. They start with a really cool 3D projector story about the history and how Jameson is made, then you move into a tasting room where you try four different Jamesons and learn how to properly smell and taste whiskey. It truly feels like a world-class experience. The premium ones were noticeably smoother (whiskey by itself definitely grows hair on your chest 😂), but it was fun, informative, and delicious. After the tasting, you get a drink included — they already have a bar set up with several cocktail options, and if you want another drink afterward you can buy more. The tour guide was incredible — funny, knowledgeable, and made it feel like he actually believed every part of the history. It was so good I found myself thinking, “Do y’all hire? I could work here too.” The staff overall was extremely friendly and helpful. They’ll even hold your bags if you’re coming straight from the airport like I was. There’s merchandise at the end if you want to shop, and the whole experience is just a lot of fun from start to finish. I would 100% come back and I’d tell anyone visiting Dublin to add this to their trip.

What an unforgettable experience at the Jameson Distillery! We opted for the Secret Whiskey Package and savored every moment. The tour was a delightful blend of history, craftsmanship, and fun, with fascinating insights into the company’s founder and the art of whiskey making. The highlight? Learning the skills of whiskey tasting, followed by a truly delicious sampling experience. Despite the bustling crowd of fellow travelers, the staff made us feel so special and welcome. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return!

This is one of the best distillery tour I’ve ever done! I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jamison Distillery. I went with my husband and my daughter. It was very informative and quite interesting. There were several experiences during the tour. We tasted whiskeys that we hadn't tried before. Our new favorite one is Black Barrel. We've bought a bottle now that we're back home and have shared it with a neighbor. He is now a fan! Nature & Parks
Nestled in the heart of Dublin, Iveagh Gardens is often referred to as the city's hidden gem or "secret garden." Originally designed in 1865 and beautifully restored since 1995, this enchanting space offers a serene escape from urban life. Once known as Coburg Gardens, it was revitalized by Sir Benjamin Guinness and later gifted to the Irish nation.
Visited yesterday. Been to St. Stephen’s Green a few times and love it, but this one’s smaller and far less crowded, feels like a wee hidden gem. The fountains, waterfall, and rose garden are lovely, and it’s perfect for a quiet Monday morning stroll or a coffee away from the bustle.
Jack H — Google review
Iveagh Gardens is a true hidden gem in the heart of Dublin. Tucked away just behind Harcourt Street and a short stroll from St. Stephen’s Green, it’s easy to miss—but once you find it, you’ll be glad you did. The park is beautifully designed, combining formal landscaping with a natural, relaxed feel. Highlights include elegant fountains, a small waterfall, a charming grotto, and wide open green spaces perfect for picnics or reading a book. What really sets it apart is the peaceful atmosphere. Unlike other city parks, it’s rarely crowded, even on sunny days. It feels like a secret escape right in the middle of the city, offering quiet pathways, shady spots under mature trees, and beautifully maintained flower beds. It’s a great place to unwind, have a thoughtful walk, or just enjoy a bit of nature without leaving the city center. Occasionally, it hosts events like Taste of Dublin or small concerts, but outside of those times, it remains calm and serene. Whether you're a local or a tourist, it’s well worth taking the time to find the entrance and explore this tranquil oasis.
Karthika N — Google review
A nice garden that gives you a bit of peace from the city. It is quite large and contains a waterfall, two fountains, a yew maze, a rose garden, archery grounds, and some statues. There are toilets in the gardens. The gardens are mainly wheelchair accessible. There is access through the Clonmel Street and Hatch Street entrances, but not through the Concert Hall Gate entrance. There are hard surface paths around the gardens.
Shelley C — Google review
It’s pretty, but the fountains/waterfalls weren’t running. Since we were already near St. Stephen’s Green, we checked it out. But I wouldn’t go out of your way to get here because it seems from the other reviews that it’s hit or miss when they turn on the fountains.

Worth the trip here. Everyone goes to St. Stephen’s Green but these gardens are close by and less crowded. Highly recommend taking the time to visit.
Margaret H — Google review
The place is ok. Peaceful, tranquil but a little underwhelming. You should still check it out if you have never been there. Might be a good escape from the hustle of city life.
Kay J — Google review
Amazingly kept greenspace with awesome water features. This park really makes you feel like you've escaped from the city!
Eston S — Google review
The best part of the garden is this fountain. Otherwise, it’s frankly boring and it looks like a big green yard - would only visit it, if it’s on your way to somewhere else. This way you can hide from the noisy streets here.

Gardens
Nestled just south of Phoenix Park, the Irish National War Memorial Gardens stand as a serene tribute to the 49,400 Irish soldiers who lost their lives during World War I. Designed by the renowned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, these gardens feature a classical layout that is both symmetrical and harmonious. Visitors can stroll through sunken rose gardens at either end and admire the central War Stone flanked by elegant fountains.
The Irish National War Memorial Gardens is truly a hidden gem in Dublin, offering a peaceful and serene retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle. The well-maintained gardens are a delight for nature lovers, with stunning landscapes, vibrant blooms, and perfectly manicured lawns that create a calming atmosphere. The River Liffey flowing nearby adds to the charm, and if you’re lucky, you might spot graceful swans gliding along the water. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, kayaking on the river offers a unique way to soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The memorial itself is a solemn and beautifully designed tribute, blending history with nature in a way that inspires reflection. It’s a perfect place for a leisurely walk, a peaceful afternoon with family, or even some quiet time alone. I highly recommend visiting this gem to anyone looking for tranquility, a touch of history, and the simple joy of being surrounded by nature.

Visited the Irish National War Memorial Gardens — a truly expansive and serene place. It's a vast garden filled with lush greenery, making it perfect for a peaceful walk. There’s a rowing club on-site, and the flowing river adds to the charm. You’ll spot plenty of birds, ducks, and swans along the way. Plan to spend around 2 hours to fully explore and enjoy all the areas.
Dilip V — Google review
Pleasant, very, very clean and well maintained. The beautiful canal adds to the atmosphere of this incredible park. Also lots of options as to where to select for relaxation and lots of seating options. You’ll also find mobile toilets near the canal. Highly recommended
Dandy A — Google review
Easily my favourite park in Dublin. Beautiful cherry blossoms in spring, and the rose gardens are also fantastic, especially in summer. The monuments honoring Irish troops are magnificent but somber. A great place to come and read a book in the sun.
Conor B — Google review
Gorgeous park hidden in the heart of Kilmainham. This is right beside the River Liffey and is lovely for a walk. We went specifically in mid April to see the beautiful cherry blossoms trees which definitely are up there with the cherry blossoms festival in China but in Ireland. Just so pretty. The gardens will also be so worth a visit in Smear time when all the roses are in bloom in the flower gardens. The fountains amd structures in the memorial part of the park are very impressive and it is very poignant to think of those that gave their lives so that we can be free to enjoy such a lovely place. There is a small car park here, so in summer I would think that parking g will be hard to get. This place would be gorgeous for a summer picnic. Bring a blanket and enjoy!!!
Tracey T — Google review
Very nice park to hang out or go for a walk. You can see some rowing boats and it's very nice with a beautiful rose garden.
Georg ( — Google review
Great place for a walk. During the month of April, visiting this place with all the cherryblossams are always great. They won't last longer. There's a car park which won't be that busy. One of the must places if you love cherry blossom.
Vineeth V — Google review
Very nice park beside the river Liffey, beautiful Rose gardens and architecture monuments. Pretty in spring with teh cherry trees in blossom. Amazing in summer with the roses scents. You can walk all the way to Chapelizod. You can see the rowing teams practicing on the river. It has some parking, but no coffee or ice-cream stands.

Shopping
The Square Tallaght in County Dublin is a large commercial complex with a diverse range of shops, including department stores like Dunnes Stores and Tesco, as well as boutiques such as Lifestyle. Visitors can also enjoy informal dining options and a movie theatre at the UCI cinema. The area is well-developed, featuring amenities like a jungle gym for children, fast food restaurants, cafes, a bowling alley, quasar, hotel and pubs nearby.
A very well-designed shopping center where you can find all the major stores, as well as a health center and a cinema! Unfortunately, due to the surrounding area, there are many young people who don't behave very well and disturb the shoppers, but the security staff does everything possible to reduce this! Overall, it's a great place to shop, go to the movies, or have lunch.
Krisztian P — Google review
Great selection of shops and eateries. Parking is rough as it can be very busy and spaces are tight but it’s cheap too. Needs a paper map for visitors as the place is a maze - there’s too many add ons on each floor meaning it’s hard to work out where you are. It’s fine if you’re used to the centre but visitors aren’t and then can’t work out how to get to various shops they can see from below.
The C — Google review
A local legend and a one-stop shop for everything! 🛍️ From high-street fashion to tasty food spots and a cinema for chill days - The Square has it all. Spacious, lively, and always buzzing with good energy. Perfect for weekend strolls or last-minute errands. A solid South Dublin staple! 👟☕🎬

Great to get to by public transport. Plenty Car park spaces Thinking's to see and to go around The Square Activities for children offers Not over populated when shopping around, good variety of Tee & Coffee places. Possibility to charge electric devices if needed. Friendly Staff I have enjoyed my first visit at The Tallaght Square will come back
Johanna W — Google review
So I have been going here regularly for 18 years when it became my local 'big shopping center.' All together, the first time I recall was going was the mid-90s. I am only realising I never put down a proper review. Anyway, it is ok. Everything is close enough, so you don't feel like you're making a trek like in other shopping centers. On the flipside, it has a lost a lot of shops and it the younger local crowd gets worse and worse unfortunately. The Cinema, Dunnes, Tesco and Primark are good, but then you are left kinda lacking on the big name front. Here's a thought. I cannot buy Levi jeans in an entire shopping center. There are plenty of places to eat on each floor but again, the local kids are lingering around like a stench at such places, especially on the 3rd floor. The post office is a joke. Avoid it if you can.
Ade — Google review
Shop selection is decent; it is better than Liffey Valley for sure, and close proximity to other shops (Smyths, furniture stores nearby) as well as the Luas do make it very convenient for that. But, this is just another shopping centre that increased their parking costs and cause headaches for shoppers! They were forced to bring back the 15 minute grace period from level 3 due to absolute uproar. Paying for parking to go into shops is nothing short of a money grab by the management company. Go to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre just up the road - much better shops, and free parking, OR park somewhere nearby - The Plaza, McDonalds and Smyths have plenty of space and easily walkable. Avoid Liffey Valley as that is the same, just out to extort you. Cannot recommend.

Nestled in the heart of Dublin, Dubh Linn Garden is a hidden gem that beautifully combines history and nature. Originally part of the grounds for Dublin Castle, this serene garden features lush green lawns adorned with unique brickwork patterns reminiscent of sea serpents. Visitors can explore its tranquil pathways while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. At the southern end lies the Coach House Gallery, which hosts an array of temporary exhibitions celebrating art and history throughout the year.
A great place to escape for a quiet break from the city. The gardens and flowers were so beautiful. You can easily spend hours here taking in the views and relaxing on a bench. Great view of the castle from the gardens as well. Entry is free
Cara D — Google review
Beautifully sculpted lawn, surrounding gardens, and structures with Dublin Castle in the background. Lots of winding and hidden areas to explore. There is a good higher vantage point closer to the road with the elevated foot bridge.
Cory S — Google review
Dubh Linn Garden was underwhelming, especially given its central location behind Dublin Castle. It’s small, plain, and feels more like a lawn than a true garden. There are few colorful flower beds or water features — just simple grass with a few paths and sculptures. It might be a quiet place to sit for a minute if you’re already at the castle, but it’s definitely not a destination on its own. Compared to the lush, vibrant gardens you’ll find across the Irish countryside, this one falls flat.
Praneet R — Google review
The garden is a truly special place, filled with vibrant flowers and lush greenery. You can easily get lost in its beauty, wandering through winding paths and admiring the different plants. It's the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just relax. Gorgeous garden bursting with flowers when we visited in early June. Immaculately maintained and just steps from the castle, with great views all around.

So beyond beautiful with breathtaking plants. A gorgeous space well worth visiting! It is right behind Dublin Castle and next to the Beatty Museum
Moira D — Google review
The Dubh Linn Garden sits quietly behind Dublin Castle — a green, peaceful oasis right in the heart of the city. The circular patterns in the grass are inspired by Celtic knot designs, a nod to Dublin’s heritage. It’s a great spot to take a break from the bustle, surrounded by bright buildings, bits of modern art, and the backdrop of the old castle walls. Perfect for a short walk, a few photos, or just sitting down to enjoy a bit of calm in the middle of historic Dublin.

Chapters Bookstore is a spacious bookshop in Dublin that offers a wide range of new titles, board games, secondhand books, CDs, and DVDs. With over 20,000 books available, it boasts an extensive collection of secondhand books and also provides a trade-in option for returning books. Additionally, the store features a home decor section on the first floor where customers can purchase various items such as pots, plants, energy stones, soaps, chocolates, Christmas decorations and more.
If i lived in Dublin this would without a doubt be “my” bookstore. I love that you can trade in books, find second hand ones and also get the new releases to stay on trend. And the garden section upstairs?! Stunning!! Such a vibe and it brings life to the entire store. Absolutely love this whole shop!!
Lacey D — Google review
Very nice bookstore with a large collection. There were secondhand books as well as new ones, and a lot of different genres. Also a nice section of works translated into English. I liked the 'blind date with a book'-concept.
Daniëlle — Google review
Absolute gem of a bookstore! Great selection of books, there’s also a secondhand books’ section at very reasonable prices. If I lived there, I would spend every day over there 😁

nice concept store where you can not only buy books but also plants and interior or get a nice cup of coffee. time will fly by fast. i loved the great selection of 2nd hand books.
Tanja — Google review
This bookstore has a new section at the front that is very well set out the sections are vast and there are loads of gift books at the front of the store. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The fantasy section is amazing. The kids section in my opinion is second to none and has loads for children of all ranges. There is an abundance of seating to sit a while and get a feel for a book in its first few pages. There is a massive second hand section at the back with lots of sections and hidden gems. Its always a good day when I visit here. There is a lovely cafe upstairs run by the arboretum with a lovely gardening section.
Jonathon H — Google review
Great bookstore located right in the heart of Dublin with a huge selection of books from all genres! The staff are incredibly kind as well!
Noah D — Google review
I am a loyal customer of Chapters and have always credited the kind staff that work there. I was served by a lovely person named Cat who helped me find ‘The Artist’s Way’, this would be the first time reading it. She was very knowledgeable about the book and was able to aid in questions I had about the contents. We continued to have a great chat about the author and the creative scene of Dublin. Such a kind character in a job I’m sure is very demanding from the public, especially coming into the Christmas season. Thanks Cat, you’re an asset to the store!

I could spend all day here quite happily. Great selection of books in both the new and secondhand sections, perfect whether you know exactly what you want or you want to enjoy browsing and finding unexpected and even obscure books you didn't know you needed. Very nice staff too. Highly recommend.

Lovely experience! The staff was so nice, the atmosphere was very soothing and the prices were more than fair (especially if you compare it to the other second hand stores nearby). Even though the room is small, I'm positive that everyone can find a nice second hand peace (or a Lucy's Lounge design). I would definitely recommend it!

I absolutely love this store. I bought a velvet blazer that had been given a make over by the owner with the help of some bleach. Plus a tour of sewing workshop, featuring industrial sewing machines fitted with exercises bike motors and drum petal! Plus gorgeous original textile art installation by local artist. VISIT THIS THRIFT STORE! This was my first time visiting Ireland and not only was visiting Lucy’s Vintage Lounge a wonderful welcome, but I found two beautiful tops that I love so much. The manager working at the time, Saoirse, was so so wonderful to talk to, and made the visit even more enjoyable. The clothes are beautiful, unique, and wonderfully curated. Very clean, organized, and beautifully decorated (I love pink). Worth a visit!!
