We came here with the hope of having some great pastries. Unfortunately we found them not as good as expected. Probably it was a matter of personal taste, but both the cinnamon roll and the chocolate thing we tried were good but nothing extraordinary. On the other hand, we bought a large sourdough bread which was great! For bread I definitely recommend this place! For pastries maybe you will find them better that we did. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere is quite nice. Overall it’s a good place for breakfast!

Absolutely delicious croissants, we got the ham and cheese and the chocolate! So many other good looking pastries and breads. Excellent coffee with environment friendly reusable takeaway cups to purchase. Cute place and friendly staff thank you!

This is a stunning place and extraordinary bake foods buffet. Chose anything it’s simply elevated standards - homely but fresh and innovative. Loved the croissant, bread butter pudding, chouxin. I literally stumbled into this place and what a great place. ❤️❤️❤️

Bread 41 is amazing! The pastries are so tasty and fresh, and the coffee is honestly the best I’ve had in a while. The staff are super friendly, and I love the big shared tables — such a great vibe. The line was out the door, but it moved fast and was totally worth it!

I was really looking forward to visiting Bread 41! As soon as I got there, I queued up and grabbed some bread and coffee. Luckily, there were still a few seats left inside. I tried the custardo, salted caramel knot, and almond croissant. Maybe my expectations were too high, but although the bread wasn’t bad, I was a bit disappointed because it didn’t have that rich buttery flavor I was hoping for. The Americano was a little pricey, but since other drinks were the same price, I think trying something else next time might be a better deal. ☕️🥐

The products are truly good and definitely worth trying. The problem, however, is that the service is extremely poorly managed. The staff is unbelievably slow, and that’s the real reason for the long line — not because there are too many customers. We went there on our first day and the wait was absolutely ridiculous, for no valid reason at all. Then we went back on our last day because we had to return the reusable cups to get our deposit back (since they don’t use disposable ones). Again, we waited about 20 minutes even though there were only two people ahead of us — it took them ages to prepare just a couple of simple drinks. When I got to the counter, the guy tried to fit a giant cinnamon roll into a tiny paper bag that was obviously too small and started tearing it apart. I asked politely for a bigger one, and he said they only had boxes — so I told him to just give me a box. I mean, I’m paying five euros for a cinnamon roll; you can’t hand it to me in a ripped bag. Then, to make things worse, there was total confusion at the register. I was supposed to get ten euros back and pay €10.75, so I should’ve just given them the 75 cents difference. But since they didn’t have change, I had to pay for the croissants by card and then get the ten euros back in cash. It was honestly absurd and completely disorganized. Unfortunately, having an excellent product isn’t enough to make a business successful.

What's more, the freshly redone shop in Portobello is inviting to have a sit-in coffee or a little lunch. Good bread will always make me happy - and Bretzel has really good bread on offer!

I've been buying the berry cake from this bakery for at least seven years, and it used to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined. There are barely any berries in the cake now, and the dough isn't as soft as it used to be. It’s disappointing to see such a great product change for the worse. I really hope they bring back the original quality because this used to be one of the best cakes around.

This used to be my favourite place in Dublin for breakfast - I would always ask for coffee and a cream cheese bagel. I don’t know if management has changed but this place is not what it used to be. In the past , bagels would be bigger with a generous amount of cream cheese. I didn’t even mind the burnt flavour it had, as the cheese was delicious and would overpower it. This weekend I went back to this bakery and I was truly disappointed. Everything is more expensive, the bagel is smaller and barely had cream cheese - I could only feel the burnt flavour this time. It’s truly heartbreaking to see one of my favourite places falling apart. They refurbished the whole thing and to me, it now lacks personality. I am thankful for the good times I had here for the past 3 years, but I don’t plan to ever come back. It’s very sad to see a good place being sacrificed for money - but i guess it pays off.

Manning’s Bakery – Pretty pastries, slightly crusty service A clean, attractive spot that really stands out among its more “up and coming” surroundings. There are lots of people walking to Guinness like me Inside, the counter is a visual treat, cakes and bakes galore. Sadly, two of the four things I ordered were out of stock, and the staff seemed mildly allergic to patience. The scones? Tasty, but more rock cake than cloud-like fluff. Conclusion: Looks the part, tastes decent, but service and stock issues mean I'll look elsewhere first

I ordered 2 birthday cakes for my daughter’s 18th. A chocolate mud cake and a Victoria sponge. Both were delicious. The Victoria sponge was the lightest cake I have ever eaten. Would recommend and will be using again. I had the cakes delivered. I received a text on the morning of delivery to share the estimated time.

This is a very small café that sells pastries and baked goods. The place looks really cute, but there isn’t enough seating. The atmosphere is lovely. I had high hopes for the pastries and tried the pain au chocolat and croissants—the chocolate they used was quite dark, which isn’t really to my taste.

I've been staying a number of days at a hotel near Hansel and Gretel, and have found this great little bakery and coffee shop a convenient stop as I'm walking to various tourist sites. The pastries are freshly baked and very good, and the coffee (which may be supplied by a coffee shop chain called Ariosa) is very good. Unlike other nearby coffee shops, Hansel and Gretel has no seating either inside or outside. But if a takeaway cup of coffee and a pastry is your thing, this is a great choice.

We have been customers of the H&G branch in the Swan Centre Rathmines since it opened. In fact it is why we chose to do our supermarket shopping there. It was with dismay that we saw last night workmen dismantling the cafe. Your product was very good, coffee, pastries and apple tarts too. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, particularly the French lady. What happened to cause this closure??

Charming bakery with a great selection of pastries, cakes and sandwiches. They also do Too Good To Go bags which have been amazing value when we’ve tried it. I miss the beautiful cake display they used to have in the middle of the space (it made it much easier to browse), but I’m guessing it might have been taken away for health and safety reasons? In any case worth dropping by if you’re in the area. Coffee and staff are nice too.

I'd give this place 3.5 if possible as 3 seems a bit too harsh and 4 seems a bit much. So after searching around and seeing nice reviews, I visited the place to try out their Pistachio Bakewell that they have posted almost everywhere on maps to Instagram etc. Brought home and tried that along with Almond Bakewell as well as per the recommendation. It felt a bit dry to me and wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be or as it looked. I am not sure I am going to try it again.

Such a stylish place to buy a pastry and a coffee on the go. Everything is laid out out in the open as if you were in the home of a compulsive baker. It looks a bit like a story book idea of how a cake shop should be. Is it a coincidence that it is located en route from the gallery to the museum? Everything in here looks like a work of art but fortunately there are no glass cases to stop you getting your grubby mitts on the treasure. A self-service cake shop this good? It's almost a crime.

A small nice cafe and bakery place. I do understand why it's a favourite for a lot of tech folks in this area as it's an easily accessible place to sit for coffee. But talking about what I had here: 1. Hot chocolate was just basic and didn't enjoy it at all. I'd give it 2.5 or 3 out of 5. 2. I also had pistachio cannoli and that was quite basic too.

The pastries were nice for a little snack, but nothing super special or notable. Was excited to try the matcha but once it came out and I saw how dull and pale the color was, I knew it was not going to be good…unfortunately I was right. Tasted kind of watered down :\

This is a lovely spot for coffee and pastries. Their coffee is absolutely delicious, though it does feel a bit pricey. The food is generally good, but there have been times when it’s been a bit stale, and the quality isn’t always consistent. When it’s fresh, though, it’s fantastic! Overall, a great place. Can get very busy at times but I’ve always found the service to be fast and efficient.

Went there during closing on a Saturday and as expected most of the items on shelf were sold out. We ordered our coffees - Flat white & Cappuccino and were asked to take-out which we understand as they wanted to close. The staff was polite though. Coffees tasted decent but would definitely try this place for their pastries next time. They have an outside sitting area as well which is perfect for sunny weather, regardless even the docks view was worth it.

The food looks nice but it is nothing special, the worst part is when you go to sit down, it is so dirty. The toilets look to be never cleaned, there's crumbs and dust everywhere and counter tops filled with dirty dishes. My drink was brought in a dirty cup and food came with no cutlery, drink didn't have a spoon either. It's very busy, but overhyped and definitely not worth the money or what you can catch from the lack of hygiene.

Their Veg Croissant is a must try, if you are a vegetarian. Coffees are amazing - we tried Cappuccino & Latte. We also tried the Elcair Pistachio and it was good - personally I would have preferred it warm ! So, I visited this bakery for the third time and it’s my go to place now. All the food options are just amazing. Plus, you get a lot of beverages options. The staff has always been very cordial and nice. If you are looking to enjoy some coffee in peace, beside the river then it’s a good place. Definitely recommend it ! Pizzas could have been better - so you might wanna set your expectation in terms of what to expect :) All and all, it’s a must visit ! Cheers,

€11.20 for the dingiest coffee & sausage roll that has no meat, tasteless. Don’t bother visiting here because the new café since it reopened is very bad. You used to be able to get a full hearty dinner before this crowd took over. Its terrible :(

Had a yummy sandwich with pesto, sun-dried tomatoes and mozzarella! My husband had the breakfast sandwich and he enjoyed his too. The sourdough bread was the real deal. Nicely toasted. We also ordered a side soup each. It was good with nice garnish on top but was only lukewarm. I believe soup should be served piping hot!! I bought 2 chocolate brownies, 2 raspberry cheesecake brownies and a coconut loaf for takeaway as we were headed to my friend’s house. All treats were delicious!!! It’s such a nice place for a coffee + treat or a quick bite. Loads of tables. Great lighting. Very open space. Clean toilets.

I went with my friend for brunch, but unfortunately, there weren’t many options on the menu. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich with ketchup, but there was way too much ketchup—it was the only thing I could taste. My friend got a brunch plate, but the toast was really hard. We also ordered a mocha, but the flavor was strange and didn’t really taste like chocolate. I had a slice of lemon cake too, but it barely had any lemon flavor—felt more like a plain cake. Considering the prices, we expected a bit more. Maybe it just wasn’t a good day (it was raining, lol), but overall, we were a bit disappointed.

I love the breakfast and lunch options they have. Their drinks are delicious! The service is great; they're very friendly and helpful. I love going there to read a book quietly. A hidden gem behind a bookshop!Such a cozy and charming spot! Loved the Green Goddess ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and the buttermilk pancakes ⭐⭐⭐⭐, though the fruit topping was a bit too sweet. The cappuccino ⭐⭐⭐ and hot chocolate ⭐⭐ weren’t my favorites, but the atmosphere, quick service and overall vibe made it a lovely place to relax and enjoy breakfast.

It kills me to have to post a review about what was, once, my favourite café in Dublin. I came here this morning to treat myself and my friend to some coffee and brunch before work. After coming in, I noticed that the place was almost empty. Perfect. We were promptly seated and given a menu. Both myself and my guest ordered coffee, a scone and the 'Scramble'. The server asked if we'd like the scones with the scrambles, we indicated that we didn't have a preference. Lovely. Off to a great start. However, it didn't take long for things to start coming apart. Firstly, the server brought us our two scones, but no coffees. Not ideal, but not a big deal. Surely, it would have made more sense to bring us the baked goods after our scrambles, but whatever, we'll roll with it. When the coffee did eventually arrive, we had already finished our scones. Okay, all a little disappointing, but these things happen. Next, we waited for our food. We waited. And waited. In vain, we waited. Our plates weren't cleared, we weren't checked up on at all. In fact, we were completely ignored. Our coffees finished, we fancied another, but still we couldn't get the attention of any staff; who seemed to be congregated around the kitchen taking photos of a dish on the pass. As restlessness set in, I checked my phone and saw that it had been 40 mins since I sat down. I decided to ask how much longer my food would be. I then had to leave the table, approach the congregated staff members and ask for an update on my food. I asked 'is my food coming up soon', my waiter looked at me and said in an agitated tone, 'not yet', but at this stage, I'd had enough. I cancelled the food. Feeling dejected and disappointed, I asked for the bill. My server simply said 'sorry about that' in an offhand manner. When she she came out to take my payment, she repeated 'sorry about that', without making eye contact or showing any genuine remorse for having delivered such a poor customer experience. I decided to offer some feedback. I told her that coffee should always come before food and it was unacceptable that we had finished our food before our coffee arrived. She told me that it was the way things were done at Cake Café. When I insisted that it was uniform etiquette across all cafés and restaurants, she simply said 'not here, some places do things differently'. She had an air of scorn about her temperament which I found a little unprofessional. She then repeated 'sorry about the restaurant', repeating her claim that it's restaurant policy to deliver coffee to customers once their food is finished. She didn't offer any commiseration. Her whole demeanour was angry and confrontational, which is especially disappointing, considering ours was so polite. I work in service and have done for the past 10 years. I'm incredibly forgiving when it comes to staff mishaps when im dining out. But a level of service this poor is inexcusable. If one of my colleagues acted in the same was as our server did today, Id consider them wholly unsuitable for the industry and would wager they wouldnt last very long in the job. Again, it pains me to post this. I really hope that you guys can make whatever changes necessary to restore the level of service for which you were previously regarded.

I took my mom here for afternoon tea to celebrate her birthday while we visited London. The surroundings are simple, but I loved the atmosphere. There’s a great outdoor seating space which we couldn’t use because of the rain, but it was so beautiful to walk through. I tried the roasted vegetable sandwich, which was amazing. We shared a cake plate, and a pot of tea. Everything was so delicious!! On top of that, our waitress really went above and beyond and gave us incredible service the entire time we were there. Highly recommend if you have a chance to go!

Had a beautiful baguette on Thursday. My mam had the hazelnut brownie and loved it. Sadly I had the raspberry one and it was undercooked. I always love and prefer a gooey brownie but this one was 100% undercooked. Zero chew I actually had to spit it out I felt sick and can't find where to add a picture of it

I was on a short visit to Dublin and was on the lookout for speciality bakery. So took a 45 minute bus journey from the city centre to here. The croissant was amazing and not too oily. However the service was standoffish and not very welcoming. The outside decor is aesthetically pleasing but the interior is a bit too clinical

Bread Naturally is my favourite bakery in Dublin! Everything is so fresh and absolutely delicious! And such a great variety of options - especially now they have started doing coffee, which is also excellent and very well priced! The girls in the shop are so lovely and helpful. Make sure to stop by and try something if you’re in the area!

We were seriously impressed by the bread in this place. We ordered the miso sourdough and it’s probably the best sourdough we’ve ever had. We also ordered a croissant and a morning bun which were passable. Compared to the French-style, they were too dry, and probably didn’t contain enough butter. They were doughy and bready. Coffee was decent too. But definitely will go back for the bread.

Got a couple of cakes from the coffee shop part . The cakes were absolutely scrumptious. Got a flat white coffee which was excellent, the young lady who did the coffee was very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable on the coffee. You do not find that friendliness and knowledge in many places. A coffee shop to sit and enjoy would be even better.

Superb artisan bakery in the middle of Raheny village. Brilliant sourdough, best croissants in north Dublin. A great example of business and community in harmony. Long may it continue.

The service was wonderful! The lady who helped me was very gentle and kind, taking her time to ensure everything was perfect. She made a lovely coffee. The pastries and bread looked delightful. The pain au chocolat had a nice flavour, but I found the texture quite unusual—almost too chewy, which took away from the overall experience. I also tried the sourdough, which had a good taste, but the crust wasn’t as crispy as I expected. With a little toasting on the grill, it could shine!

Genuinely the best coffee I've had in Dublin. Out of my way but I made a point to go often. The people are kind and knowledgable. The cheesecake and croissants are to die for. The honey is delicious. I only wish this was a bigger location that had indoor seating.

Maybe it's my bad luck... but I was sold a half raw cinnamon roll and flaccid almond croissant from this bakery this morning. Luckily I was in a position where I could bring the raw dough roll back to them in the space of half an hour. Did I get my money back.. Yes... was there any apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience issues ... No. Be wary of the hype associated with Stoneybatter food outlets... they talk a big game.... but fail to deliver.

€8.95 for a dry apple tart. €11.95 for a pear and almond one. Too expensive for what you get. Unless they change prices I wouldn't recommend coming here.

The Brownie. No words needed. Has to be eaten to be believed. I'm not a local but I purchased a brownie from here a while back. I thought it was so good I'd come back to try again and it was even better this time.

The team here are so friendly and helpful. Cupcakes are delicious, and the birthday cake they made for me was one of the best cakes I have ever tasted! I detour here specifically for the Reuben sandwich.

Were pleasantly surprised to find a great choice of local produce and stuff for baking in addition to freshly baked cakes, cookies and quiches

The strawberry cake tastes better than the fruit tart, but overall nothing was particularly impressive. MIMOSA CAKE was actually quite nice — refreshing and lemon taste not too sweet. Next time I’ll try the tiramisu that my friend strongly recommended, though I’m not sure I can handle how sweet it looks! The pasta is supposedly handmade, but it felt pretty average. Service was very friendly!

I have mixed feelings about Dolce Sicily. The first time I visited, the experience was much better, but on my second visit it didn’t really transport me to Italy as I had hoped. The highlights here are definitely the desserts — the pistachio tiramisu and pastries in general are very good. However, I have serious doubts about the savory food. I ordered the ossobuco risotto: the meat itself was well-cooked, tender, and flavorful, but the risotto had no taste at all. After waiting 45 minutes for the dish, it was quite disappointing. I mentioned it to the waiter, who kindly took the plate back, but what came next was very bizarre: they brought me a new risotto and literally took half of the ossobuco from my first plate and served it separately on a smaller dish. For a restaurant that is not cheap, I found it unacceptable that the chef didn’t bother to remake the dish properly. Overall, I feel Dolce Sicily needs to improve a lot on consistency and service to win me back — and honestly, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Go now, order that pistachio cake (Bronte cake). It was my first time visiting, recommended by a friend. The staff are super friendly, chatty, kind, always up for a laugh, and oh my gosh why are you still reading this, go and order that cake, it's everything. The berry lemonade was divine, almost too good to drink, but I was thirsty, very much so. I also had a coffee (flat white) but that one didn't make the picture as I was too interested in drinking it. Nearly went the same way with the cake, but thanks to my friend I remembered. They've got a lovely outdoor sitting area that offers some shade but gets a bit of sun too, nice to soak in the hustle and bustle of the city while enjoying food/coffee/drinks. Will definitely be back, so much more to try out. Massive kudos to the waiter who joined me in making fun of Fettuccine Alfredo being an actual Italian dish, we had an absolute blast.

I ordered a cake to pick up yesterday to celebrate my birthday a week early because most of my friends will be travelling on my birthday date. We had it this morning! I got the Red Velvet, which is my favourite cake so far!!! All my guests loved it. Most of them didn't know your shop, and I can say that everyone was asking: "Where did you buy this cake? Where is the shop located? ". Well, I just want to say thank you very much!!! I knew I wouldn't be disappointed!! Thank you, thank you and thank you!!

Absolutely love this place! The chocolate cake is rich and indulgent, the Italian hot chocolate is thick and perfectly comforting but could be served a bit hotter, and the coffees are consistently excellent. Cozy atmosphere with a true Italian feel, a perfect spot to treat yourself or catch up with friends, although the prices are a bit high!

I loved the bakery and the staff. They're really nice and kind. It's a perfect spot to enjoy some sunny days. Food was pretty good too. It's just that some of the things I wanted to taste were over. Even got some stuff packed for the way. The pricing is pretty good!

The appearance of the pastries was nice and appetizing. However, the cream filling could have been a bit more generous. I tried the pistachio one, but unfortunately, I couldn’t really taste the pistachio flavor in the cream. I was expecting a more intense pistachio taste.

Bread and pastries are excellent, as good as you'll get in Dublin. Popular spot, seems to be a queue every morning - moves quickly though. Only minor niggle is that the bread comes wrapped in plastic. Paper would be better - environmentally and no condensation from freshly baked bread.

I would've loved to take more photos, but I couldn’t resist and ended up eating before even taking pictures. 😅 My husband and I were influenced by a video on Instagram that said ‘one of the best bakeries in Dublin,’ but I dare say it’s the BEST bakery in Ireland. Good Lord, it’s delicious! We bought quiche, focaccia, spinach rolls, pistachio rolls… and I swear I can’t choose the tastiest one. Not to mention that even the cappuccino is exceptional, super creamy. The dough is light, fresh, everything just right. I highly recommend this place.

Quite easily the best bakery we’ve been to in Ireland! Hands down beats some of the popular, overcrowded bakeries in Dublin. The staff is friendly and have great recommendations. Spinach and Feta Croissant - absolutely stunning, buttery, creamy and delicious Potato garlic and rosemary focaccia - it was vegan, but very nice! The potato gave a creamy texture and the garlic flavour was subtle, not too overpowering Chocolate croissant - seemed like it had a million layers and it was fantastic. The chocolate filling felt like a mousse rather just a simple chocolate filling Coffee was delicious as well. They’ve a small outdoor seating to have your coffee and pastries.

One of the top coffee spots in town. A variety of pastries and baked goods are usually available as well to choose from. I recommend their coffee for sure!

Potato focaccia bread was lovely, as was the cheese scone which had a slight kick. The only thing is they do not sell butter to go with the scone which I found odd. I didn’t enjoy the iced latte I ordered, the coffee had a very odd tangy flavour.

The best coffee in Dublin, a beautiful interior project, an insane bakery selection includes a strawberry Danish which was incredible. Great forward thinking concept with standing room left and sitting area to the right. Crikey that Danish! Love it...

Wonderful place for breakfast. Top floor of a very smart slightly different department store. Lots of breakfast choices but I had the wonderful granola bowl with lovely yogurt and berry compote. Excellent coffee too. Table of four and everyone enjoyed their breakfast. Served by a wonderful Italian lady who was helpful and fun to be around. We've been going here regularly for years and thankfully, the food is still lovely. But wow was their new menu a journey in the wrong direction. It feels like someone is trying to bait and switch a primarily tourist clientele into spending more for each dish. Beyond the fact that the menu reads like a custom burger shop over 300 year old Irish institution, it actually doesn't make sense. It's cheaper to buy from the right hand side of the menu and avoid the choose your own adventure entirely. And if you're into charting your own path, the pricing still doesn't work. Eggs and bacon together on the left are 11 euros, but Eggs and Bacon separately is 10. Again, not sure what happened here. Oh and they completely took away their kids menu, so you end up ordering stuff from the main menu and wasting a bunch of food. I completely empathize with the fact that running a restaurant is more expensive than ever. But this menu change was a miss.

Very nice shop. They offer products of a higher price class. It is a real pleasure to look at these wonderful and quality things. There is something for everyone. Lots of options to buy gifts. The prices are quite high.

Today at the restaurant, we were subjected to extremely mean and racist treatment by a woman named Roberta, who appeared to be the manager as she wasn't wearing a uniform. We had brought our Jellycats, which we bought last Christmas, and placed them on the table to photograph with our food. She then suspected us of stealing them from downstairs and offered no apology. She tried to justify her actions by saying she checked all customers who brought items that might be from the store, but we strongly doubt her claim. What thief would brazenly put the stolen items on the table for a photo and spend an hour and a half eating in a restaurant? If you don't have CCTV or personally see the guests stealing, then the logic of directly asking non-white customers if they stole things implies that you already suspect us of stealing. Definitely racism.

A big disappointment! I have been visiting this venue for lunch/afternoon break for many years. It has been a few months since I was last here. I was disappointed to see that the menu format had changed. It is now a total mess designed to confuse and extract more money from its customers. I have always loved the excellent soups here, usually served with fabulous brown bread. Well seemingly now you can only have soup with a sandwich whether you want it or not. I queried this with one member of staff and was told that soup was only available with a sandwich. I asked for time to have a think about it. Shortly afterwards another staff member approached and I queried this again. This staff member told me of course I could have the soup with just brown bread. I ordered this and when it arrived it was up to the usual standard. When I eventually went to pay I was charged €17. For a bowl of soup with two slices of brown bread??? I queried this and was told that whether you ordered the sandwich with the soup or not it was still the same price. Absolute rip off. The guy on the till kindly reduced the price to the previous price but this was a once off. And it is definitely the last time I will visit Avoca Suffolk St. By the way you can still get soup and bread for this “reduced/normal” price in Avoca Co Wicklow and Rathcoole. Crazy system!!!

Amazing store and ambience is another level. Staff is super friendly and nice. Best thing on 2nd floor they have a restaurant. This is very good food and they also have a kids menu at 2nd floor restaurant. If one wants sandwiches and salads ground floor has deli counter with many delicious options 😋

This is a great place to eat any meal in the day! There are lots of options, and you pay by container size—something to keep in mind. They have three sections: bakery/drinks, warm foods (closes later in the day), and the main area. I had the apple tonic which was really good, as well as the macaroni cheese. I highly recommend coming here for food in Dublin!

This is a superb restaurant! The food is fresh and unprocessed and there's a wide choice of meals, including hot meals, sandwiches and cakes. The porridge for breakfast is plentiful, with berries and honey. Nice big cups of tea too. The staff are lovely and very helpful! Would go back any time!

Nice food and coffee but the service and clearing of tables leaves a lot to be desired. So many occupied tables with clearly empty plates and cups were not removed. I even saw come customers clear a table themselves before sitting down. Also, the waitress delivered a coffee to my friend and spilled it all over the saucer. Didn't even apologise nor offer to clear it up. Very disappointing.

Cute little place, nice atmosphere, French vibe!! We had un pain au chocolat, un pain aux raisins and une tarte aux fraises, orange juice and 2 cappuccino. I love tarte au fraise and I'm very picky when it comes to tarte au fraise but this one was one of my favorite that I ate so far ! I would definitely recommend this place if you want to go on a cute coffee date or solo date or just to get a coffee take away!!

Stopped by for a coffe and a croissant. Ordered my regular coffee latter and a almond croissant. The order was server quite quickly , coffee is decent but the pastry unfortunately didn't feel fresh. It seemed to be at least a couple of days old. It tasted not that bad but you could use it instead of a hammer 🔨 . Tho atmosphere is cute. So maybe I will give this place another try, maybe I was just not lucky that day

In for lunch. Good deal on soup, sambo and drink for 12e in Central Dublin. Food is only okay and service, while friendly, is slow and they ran out of water glasses. Recommend for 1 or 2 people (4 @ a push) as it is a small venue.

Super basic coffee shop, which was good for what it was. Good Coffee no doubt, but limited options, you can get a hot coffee or latte type situation. No flavors or speciality coffees. Some pasties, but no food/sandwiches. It’s you just want a coffee this could be a quick stop but keep in mind there are limited options! Seating is very limited as well, mainly for Togo only!

Had good coffee here a few years ago so thought I’d try while I was back in town. Unfortunately the flat white was weak and watery. Pastry selection seemed quite limited. Asked for the wifi code (needed to check in for my flight online, not to work!) and the member of staff was pretty snotty about telling me they don’t have wifi. Fair enough to not have it, but don’t act like it’s an unusual or rude question? Maybe I caught them on a bad day, though it wasn’t busy to be fair.

Located on Drury Street and in proximity to George Street Arcade, Kaph is a nice, modern coffee shop in the heart of Dublin. There's something about grabbing a coffee and sitting out on the street on a sunny day or making use of the downstairs counters or the upstairs seating area. Things can be busy on weekends and afternoons, but you'll still get served quickly, thanks to the excellent staff behind the counter. For my taste, the coffee is only okay, a bit too much on the bitter side. But that's subjective to everyone. It's definitely worth a try - and it'll pair well with a pastry!

The best part of this cafe is its location. What a great advantage to run the only cafe in Herbert Park and yet, it doesn’t seem this business is able to fully make the best out of it. The table area inside is often quite dirty, staff is not very interested and in general operating at a basic standard. They have recently introduced the automatic tip system while paying with cards and this should not really be a thing considering there is no table service at all. Prices are high enough as it is imo.

I did not have a good experience with the staff member who served me today. I simply asked for a takeaway box, as I was dining out, and she responded by saying that if she gave me the box, she would not give me a paper bag. I explained that I needed a way to carry my food and asked for a bag, but she handed me a very small paper bag and said, “Why, what’s wrong with this?” She also mentioned that they are not allowed to provide a paper bag for takeaway, but instead of being dismissive, she could have politely explained the policy or offered me the option to purchase a bag. Her tone came across as rude and unapproachable. I believe staff should be respectful and courteous toward customers. I understand that working can be tiring, but customers are also tired, and we come to buy food for convenience. A simple gesture of kindness goes a long way, and I hope this staff member can be reminded to treat customers with more respect in the future.

Dropped in for coffee and ice-cream. Coffee was fine and the location (next to croquet lawn) is perfect if you are visiting for the playground or a stroll. Staff could smile more :)

This lovely cafe and restaurant is situated right in the heart of Herbert park. It runs the tennis, cricket and football courts which are payed out around the cafe. My partner and I come here to play tennis quite often, it’s €12 pp for an hour. You can call upfront to book a court (advisable on the busy weekend days). The cafe/restaurant serves delicious fresh food and pastries and the coffee is one of the best around Ballsbridge. The place is very kids friendly as it is quite far off the road with plenty of space to run around in front of the cafe in the park. And it is well frequented by families and groups of friends for picknicks on the sunny days.

I originally came here about a month ago for the strawberry and cream pastry, but they didn’t have it at the time! I ordered the almond croissant and it was good, just not the best I’ve had. Fast forward to today I returned and the strawberry and cream pastry was there!!!!! If you go there for anything, get it!!! It was absolutely amazing!

Ah, the sweet scent of cinnamon in the air. The hope. The dreams. The €5 price tag. I strutted into the bakery ready to treat myself like the cinnamon loving royalty I am. I handed over my hard earned coin with visions of a gooey, warm swirl of sugary delight. What did I get? A crusty, overcooked corner. A cinnamon bun’s grumpy cousin. The part that even the oven tried to forget. It was like biting into a fossilized bread relic from the Jurassic pastry period. I checked the bottom for ancient runes. I felt like I was being punished for something. Did I offend a pastry god? I tried to make the best of it, dunked it in coffee, begged it to soften. Nothing. This bun was emotionally unavailable. I paid €5 for heartbreak and a dental challenge. Would I go back? Probably. But I’m only ordering from the middle of the tray next time.

Una in Ranelagh, Dublin 6, is such a great little neighborhood café, cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a casual stop. The absolute highlight is their sourdough bread 🥖 fresh, flavorful, and honestly the kind you’ll keep craving. They’ve also got a nice selection of pastries and bits from other stores, which adds to the variety. Simple, good, and worth a visit if you’re in the area. This is a really good bakery but too sweet for me. They make unique pastries. They also have Focaccia and Bread. It's small little take away. Sometimes there is queue on weekends. I loved Blood Orange and Rhubarb Pastry and would go back to get it. Pan au Rasin was too sweet. Cream on top of Cinnamon Bun was too sweet.I recommend this place to others but personally I don't like too sweet stuff. It makes me pukish.

I’m happy that I finally can tell about this bakery. After almost 10 times visits, Elliot becomes my favorite in the city centre. Here are some evidences. 1. Great location It is located nearby Camden street which is very busy spot in Dublin. 2. Freshness Sadly they sold out very quickly but also it is very fresh. And they do seasonal selections as well which makes them very interesting. 3. Atmosphere I’m not sure about another one but the city centre one is built very newly. I looove their big sign on the building and greeny mood except for when it is too busy and the tables are unclean with loads of flakes. Overall, I always love to visit and they always compliment something I have and supersuper nice. My recommendation : Honey&salt croissant, Seasonal brioche or pastry

Charming vibe, but don’t expect to settle in for long, there’s barely any seating, and it’s limited to outside tables. That said, their almond croissant is a winner: flaky pastry, perfectly balanced filling that’s not too sweet, and a generous topping of roasted almonds that adds a lovely crunch. I’ve had better matcha elsewhere, but their almond milk matcha latte paired nicely with the croissant, making for a pleasant treat overall :)

Sausage rolls are 11/10 The other pastry pictured was a kimchi pastry When getting other pastries to go they’re well packaged and travel well too. All the staff are so lovely, like the nicest people to interact with at 9am on a Saturday I have had pretty good matcha twice, though they have been rather different both times (made by different staff members)

Good and freshly baked pastries with a few missing details such as they don't have the bread slicer or tend to serve coffee in a take away cup despite sitting in. Pastries at times are served a bit cold or seems not fresh. Such a pity . They could keep them warm

Artybaker is a small space, but it offers a great selection of breads and pastries. The loaf is definitely delicious, and the cappuccino was flavorful, creamy, and well made. Highly recommend it.

Their coffee used to be great, But it has really gone downhill. The mocha more like a plain latte with almost no chocolate flavour, maybe it was because of a new barista.

Pastries and breads getting smaller and smaller compared to when they opened. Probably it depends by the chef because sometimes they are ok. But it's disappointing sometimes you go in and and the y charge 8 euros for 2 tiny pastries or almost 6 euro for a small loaf of bread. C'mon, go back to the quality/price level you had when you started here in Kimmage!

New sister-bakery shop opened across the way beside Grian Cafe. Went down to get a bagel today for lunch, staff were very nice, just a bit disappointed with the price of the bagel being at €10.50. Having paid this price I expected it to be a lot bigger than it was. Giving it a 3 star review as the flavours were nice but it would have been reasonably affordable at €7.00 in my opinion but I understand cost of rent and supplies have unfortunately made it the price it is. I’d recommend it as a once off treat definitely as it gives off New York vibes but I’d see it hard to go back again with the price it is.

I died and went to heaven when I tried the pistachio and tonka bean pastry. Was simply the nicest thing I have ever eaten. How have I not been here before. I'll definitely be back. Ive yet to try the others but had to leave a review straight away

One of the best bakeries in Dublin Highly recommend to get their signature Tonka bean tart. Jalapeño and cheddar ciabatta is also great! It’s attached to the farmer’s market and always queued up with 10-30mins waiting. Bakery has plenty of coffee options as well but we didn’t try so not so sure to comment. One thing for improvement is that staff was grabbing the loaves by hands and touching other things. Other than that, great pastry options and looking forward to seeing monthly menu.

I bought a cake from the Phibsborough shop on Saturday, the 21st, and was assured by the staff that it would stay fresh until the next day. But when I opened the box on Sunday, the strawberries were moldy, and the cake tasted awful. We had to throw the whole thing away—it was completely inedible. I contacted customer service, and on December 30th, they told me they couldn’t refund me because I had thrown the cake out (as if I was supposed to keep a moldy cake in my house for over a week!). They offered me a free replacement cake instead, but after such a terrible experience, there’s no way I’d want another cake from them. In short, they sell moldy cakes, and even when you show detailed photos, they refuse to refund you. I wouldn’t recommend Thunders to anyone. There’s a Tesco right next door that sells fresh cakes for half the price—and they’re actually good!

Delicious range of gluten free cakes available. Got a birthday cake here and it was fantastic. However, if possible don't get your cake delivered. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the €10 delivery fee to the city center. Very expensive for a 10 min car journey.

Me and my sister went there for the pasties and the pain au chocolat was divine! The best I've had-atleast around where I live! The tiramisu could be better, we got too much chocolate and very little coffee flavour so that could be improved. Didn't try their sandwiches but they looked very tempting, will go back for sure! Quick turnaround and staff are very nice and warm too.

We came her for breakfast on our last day in Dublin and both ordered the eggs your way breakfast. The food was good and very filling. The eggs were good, potatoes were seasoned well and the toast was very fresh. Orange juice was fresh pressed and the tea came as a cute little set up. Our server wasn’t the most attentive but it didn’t bother us too much. If she came around more I would have ordered more like another beverage and maybe a dessert. After sitting with our empty plates for quiet some time I finally walked to the front counter to pay. I think it’s a little on the pricier side for a breakfast meal but it was an overall enjoyable dining experience.

It was a fantastic cafe in the quiet area of the center of Dublin. It's very popular during lunchtime. I visited in the morning and their service and the cake were incredible! Scorn was super big and it would be enough to feed three people! Carrot cake was also great!

Our party had the Bailey's Chocolate Chip cheesecake, the Queen of Chocolate Fudge Cake, and a salted carmel hot chocolate. Everything was delicious! The hot chocolate was more warm than hot, but probably the sweetest item of the lot. The store is charming and cozy with both indoor and outdoor seating available. The menu also included breakfast and lunch items.

My fiancée and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. It was a very nice place and the staff were very pleasant. I got flowers before I came and sat down, and one of the waiters asked me if I wanted some water and he gave me a jug of water for them, which was nice, a small gesture but appreciated. We got the Tomahawk Rib eye for 2. It was nice but it wasn't outstanding... I thought it was a bit too salty. The only complaint from my fiancée was that it didn't come with rice 😆 We both had the Gambas for starters...it was a little bit too salty but not too salty that you can't eat and finish it. It was flavourful, I have to say! Overall, it was expensive - €204 for 2 people (we had 2 Gambas, the Rib eye for 2, 1 cocktail, 1 glass of wine, 1 chocolate mousse & 1 tea). The restaurant got quite loud when it got quite busy and people starting talking. Restaurants can fix this issue easily by installing curtains, I don't know more restaurants don't do this.... Especially to cater for more neurodiverse audience. TL;DR Nice food but the Gambas & the Tomahawk Rib eye were a bit too salty; nice staff; expensive & quite loud

A memorable dining experience at Pichet! The food itself was impressive. Beautifully plated, packed with flavour. Each course was a delight, and it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. The fries/ chips was amazing and one of the best fries I ever had in my life!!! Reservations are highly recommended as it was full house on the day we went. Pichet strikes the perfect balance between casual comfort and fine dining polish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a special evening out in Dublin. Will definitely be back!

This was the best restaurant we have been to this year. My wife had the Halibut and described it as the tastiest fish she has had in a long time. I had the artichoke ricotta and it was nothing sorry of superb, it really did tickle the tastebuds. There was little potato crisp as decoration and even they were delicious. The wine was also good. The service was also too notch. It was an expensive experience but only because we had some fine wine, the place is reasonable. All in all we had a good experience in one of Dublin's top restaurants. Pichet is definitely one of our favourite places over the last few years.

Had a very nice meal at this bistro. The staff is a little too faux French but professional and efficient. Interestingly I had the best chimichurri sauce I have ever had at a French restaurant in Dublin??? It was served as a sauce to go with the steak frites. I would like to see it on the menu. The two bartenders made a great selection of drinks done very well.

Went there for dinner as a couple. We had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely delicious and high quality. The short rib melted in the mouth. The salad with figs and goat cream cheese was also wonderful. Cocktails were very well made and tasty even though I had one that was not on the menu. I highly recommend the venison and the pork as mains. The waitress was fantastic - Hvala, Stefanie! Also special thanks and compliments to the chef - Marin! We will recommend this place to all our friends and we are sure to visit again when we are in Dublin. It was definitely worth it!

Wonderful restaurant in Talbot street. The food is fresh, delicious and the staff and atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. Went there for lunch with three other family members. I had the haddock fish and chips in Guinness batter was tasty and cooked in a light, crispy batter. The lamb sliders were very tasty, was we're their soup. Desserts of strawberry, vanilla and Guinness ice cream was if the highest standard, as was the cheesecake. The ambience and decor made for a really enjoyable atmosphere and the staff were top class, friendly, helpful and professional and they really made us feel welcome. Very good Covid 19 safety measures in place. A real gem in the heart of Dublin, a short walk from O Connell Street. Have been going there for the last 7 years and always have a great experience and would bring visitors to Ireland any time they come to Dublin. Ate the food before I thought of taking photographs as we were so hungry but here are some photos of the place, outside and inside. Update! Location is a bit out of the way but the standard of food makes it worth it. The Halloumi had a lovely flavor which was complemented by the pomegranate in the salad. Steak was perfetly cooked (rare as ordered) and well seasoned too. Homemade ice cream topped off the meal well. Very good value with a voucher.

Been meaning to go hear for years. I remember it as one of the original gastropubs in Dublin and it has a long standing reputation. It's well deserved. Good wines and a decent and varied menu which is more interesting than the usual Dublin fare and of good quality in the eating.

A real hidden gem in the North side of Dublin Went to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday there last night and couldn't have chosen a better place. We were SO impressed by the quality of the food and kindness of staff. Great variety on the menu, lovely and calm atmosphere and excellent food presentation. As starters we had the croquette (highly recommended) and smoked salmon, as main the Salmon and steak (gorgeous) and desert the lemon tart and Guinness ice cream. Everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for making our night so special. Looking forward to our next visit!

Lovely food. I didn't put 5 stars because I think the ice cream dessert was nice but a tiny bit too expensive even though it featured a Guinness flavour in the trio. Next time I will try another dessert. Our fries were ordered but forgotten and when we asked for it again it was brought to us very quickly. Service was good and friendly.

We stopped here for dinner with a group as part of a guided tour. Even serving 20 people at once the food came fast and hot and was delicious. It was a bit of an early dinner which may have been part of the reason. We went next door for drinks and to listen to live music and it was a crowded, but fun environment.

Last weekend my girlfriend and I went to Brother Hubbard for the first time and it was amazing. We were welcomed really well. Even though there was a queue, it was fast and we got a table quickly. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. There was also a man working with a big smile all the time — later I saw a book and realized he was on the cover! The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. The only thing is that the Mimosa was a bit too strong for 11 in the morning hahaha Just one more point: it would be nice if the staff wore uniforms, to make them easier to identify I totally recommend this place!

There is a sign at the entrance that says "best breakfast in Ireland". When I was being seated I mentioned that to the person who led me to my table and he said that it was something that someone mentioned. He wasn't aware that there was a sign that mentioned that. I ordered a decaf Americano with milk on the side. Then I waited to order. It took a while for a waitress to come and ask for my order and when she asked me if I was ready I said "I want the basic with bacon". Then she left and I waited again. Then I noticed that people asked for a coffee and a pastry and then waited and asked for their food. The coffee and the pastry was like an appetizer. My food arrived and then I started eating. After the first bites I realized why the sign is at the front. In my opinion this is the best breakfast I have ever tasted in Dublin and other places I have visited in Ireland. The service may not be the greatest but the breakfast is amazing. It is my favorite place for breakfast so far and I will continue to go here for as long as I am in Dublin. I didn't enjoy the decaf Americano as much but next time I will order orange juice instead. Overall I highly recommend Brother Hubbard for breakfast. Go and visit. I know you will enjoy the food here.

I really like this place — I’ve been here before and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere and service are always great. However, today I tried the Irish breakfast, and it wasn’t as good as I expected. I think it could be improved, and the coffee was a bit too bitter this time. I know you guys can do much better because you usually do! Looking forward to coming back and seeing it back to its usual great standard.

OMG this place is a must if you need fresh, tasty and vibrant food. The 3 salads change every two weeks. I got the broccoli and cauliflower with the coleslaw and a lentil & carrot. Absolutely divine!!! The pulled pork benedict was delicious also according to my boyfriend. Also had a rose, raspberry and apple drink- very refreshing.

Went in for brunch, had a table booked so we’re seated very quickly que was about 20 minutes if we didn’t book. Our order wasn’t taken for ten minutes. Got our coffees ten minutes after that coffee was nice food didn’t come out for another 20 minutes so the coffee was well gone. Food was ok plates came out dirty underneath with some sauce from the waiter carrying them I assume. There is a massive hype for it but the eggs came out hard which killed it for me. We might give it another go next time we are in Dublin but for the hype it has we didn’t have a pleasant experience I think I saw 7-8 waiters maybe they need more kitchen staff

Great breakfast: The freshly baked scones were a highlight for sure. Otherwise interesting twists on dishes that you wouldn’t expect but taste amazing.

The food here is always incredible, and the service today from Giuseppe was especially attentive and top-notch. Hands down one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin! I had the cod today and it was perfection. The atmosphere, the music, the whole vibe—absolutely chef’s kiss.

A wonderful French restaurant nestled against the walls of Dublin Castle. What a pleasant surprise. The staff was wonderful and attentive. The food was fantastic. I love French food and it's hard to find. It was such a treat.

Nicely tucked away in the corner of a busy Dublin city center, Chez Max was a lovely place to dine. Quiet area, hole in the wall spot. My partner and I had no reservation prior to visiting but they were still able to seat us outside. Menu was either a two-course or three-course meal. Not to pricey considering the quality of the food and service. I slyly requested a little birthday surprise for my partner and they obliged, no hesitation. The consistent check-in from the waitress and other servers was so appreciated! Overall a delicious meal on a quiet night in a secluded yet easy to access location. Can’t complain—would eat here again!

Delicious food. Tried escargots for the first time and they were wonderful. Duck main was sublime as was the perfectly balanced crème brûlée. Lovely French bistro restaurant tucked away, just off Dame St. I got so much joy from this meal. French food is just the best.

Went in with my wife for a birthday dinner. Seated quickly inside and our waitress was ready for our drinks order immediately. Food came out quickly but we were never rushed. Would recommend the French onion soup and crème brûlée. Lovely outside areas at the front and back if the weather is accommodating.

Food amazing. Wine list for the most part, decent. The riesling tastes like bad apple juice. Would Not recommend. The wine glasses they served our white wine in were ugly and cheap, but the other tables got adult glasses. The champagne on the list, the only one is great. Escargot and Foie gras, impeccable. The trout and the duck confit, also really great. Staff for the most part friendly and enjoyable.

I am truly disappointed with this service. I had onion soup during my trip to France before, and it was absolutely delicious. But the onion soup I had here was really not good at all — the taste was completely different and unpleasant. On top of that, the staff were very rude, especially the male waiter. After we finished eating and they he clearing the table, he very rudely asked my bf, “Did you like the food? Are you sure??” in a disrespectful manner.

Lovely dinner on our first night in Dublin - the place is cozy, well-run, and the food is phenomenal! I had the steak frîtes, because yum, and my husband had the chicken Provençale. Stayed at The Shelbourne for 3 nights with family, this 200 year old hotel an elegant mix of history and luxury style. The horseshoe bar is an absolute must - and Michael will craft you a whisky sour that will ruin every pub in town! Such a special add to the experience! Love this place! It has its own unique atmosphere, a great little market, healthy food, and friendly staff. They used to have dishes that suited my taste a bit more, especially the arancini plate, which was my favorite, but the menu has changed a bit lately. Still, there are plenty of delicious options, and the overall vibe keeps me coming back.

Please keep in mind I’m a basic Texan and this food was from another planet. I had the meat sandwich. Weird ingredients and terrible flavor. My wife got the granola bowl and it was also not good. No real service as you place the order at a counter and they bring it to you. To be totally fair to the owners this appears to be a super popular place and was packed. So I blame our experience on our lack of knowledge about these dishes and flavors. But still we deemed it the worst meal of our lives.

My go-to brunch place. It has a lovely atmosphere, is dog friendly, has a tiny shop inside it. They don't take bookings, if you arrive later in the noon, you might have to queue for about 5-6 mins but it's absolutely worth it. They have a very limited menu and the food is very tasty. Their pastries and desserts are fantastic and are different every week I believe. You will always find this place buzzing in the afternoons for brunch. They stop serving food at 3 pm. Lovely place for a nice brunch with your friends or partner or even to eat alone and bring your dog 🐶

I went here more than a month ago with my friends, for the vibes of the place alone I'd give it a 10/10 but the food unfortunately did not meet my expectations, nothing wrong with it but it wasn't hitting the spot for some reason, the flavours were just okay for me personally, I ordered the vegetarian sandwich of the day which was onion fritters and mint sauce in it, as an Indian myself I'm not unfamiliar with the flavours but they could've done more with the sandwich. The staff was nice and warm as well. Again, the place isn't bad, just not for me I fear.

The prices could be a bite less I’d say but seeing as how many people were working and that the products were all regional and well selected & produced I can’t make that a huge critique point. After all it’s Dublin and everything is more expensive in Dublin (as it is a big city, which isn’t quite different in other European countries) tbh.. Still: Would definitely come again!😊

Visited the cafe on a Saturday afternoon (during 3:30-4pm). It was a quiet time close to the end of the afternoon, yet their selection of dolce was full of variety and fabulous. I picked cheesecake with caramel that time, it was lovely with a cuppa. I think they are pretty decently priced considering how delicate they are made and their amazing taste as well as their quality aesthetics, especially in a place like Dublin. I’ll definitely go back to try more dolce cakes!

Enjoyed this breakfast place! We came here on a whim before heading out of town via Connolly Station. Their menu selection was varied, service was friendly and their food was really good! Matcha latte and smoked salmon muffin were my favorites!

He’s such a kind and attentive waiter, always making sure everything is perfect. His service really makes the experience stand out. The Wooden Whisk never disappoints highly recommended!

THE WORST PLACE IN DUBLIN! First of all, they delete all the bad comments you put on them. As for the site, the workers are very rude, especially the blonde manager and the teenagers who work, they laugh at you and do nothing to understand you apart from being racist! They try to scam the tourist so BE VERY CAREFUL! In addition to the quality of the food, it leaves a lot to be desired, they keep the food trays for two days, health should go to check the hygienic measures. IF YOU CAN AVOID IT.

Today we went to Ann's Bakery to get lunch. There is a deal you get 2 courses. You get a main meal and a dessert. I got fish and chips. For dessert I got a strawberry cheesecake. My son tried the roast Carvery. He had turkey and ham with roast potatoes and vegetables. He had a Black Forest Cake for dessert. The food was alright. I thought my fish could have been a bit crisper. The place was clean and the staff are friendly! They also have lots of fresh cakes and pastries. It has a bakery section too.

I recently visited and had a lovely experience. I ordered a smoked salmon bagel, which was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Compliments to the kitchen. For dessert, I tried the orange cake, soft, fragrant, and with a lovely homemade flavor. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly, a special thanks to Karol and Siobhán who made the difference with a big smile and small conversation, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d return to for more menu options.

We thoroughly enjoyed our teas and pastries on the Pepper Pot cafe balcony at the Powercourt center. Both the almond cake and blueberry muffin were baked to perfection. We’d love to come back and try their lunch options. Deducted a star only because their cups and teapots need a thorough cleaning. Other than that I highly recommend stopping by for a little afternoon pick me up.

A fair price for the food you're given. It's incredibly good; a great balance of flavors and sweet and salty in their dishes. I had the free range bacon bagel and my girlfriend had the porridge. That bagel was divine! The apple juice here is uniquely nice as well, and it's the kind that makes you believe you can taste the whole apple (core, skin, and all) in one juice. Very nice place; if only there was more private, quiet seating. The centre is a bit loud.

I tried the veggie version of the famous pear & bacon sambo with halloumi. I liked it, but I was expecting a bit more flavor. I didn’t find it particularly necessary to keep the cheddar, as it made the sandwich feel a bit too “cheesy” for me, but I really liked the mayo sauce. If I may, I’d suggest removing the lettuce and adding spinach with walnuts, caramelized onion, and celery — that would really enhance the pear, which is the key ingredient. The service was nice, although the waiter seemed a bit distracted and forgot to bring my drink. The place is wonderful — I definitely recommend trying it!

Discovered the Pepper Pot searching the internet. Inside a small shopping Mall and split over two adjacent locations. Place your order first then directed to a table and wait. Very nice menu. I had the daily egg dish. Scrambled with a side of Irish 🇮🇳 black pudding. Hot, well presented and delicious. Nice cup of rooibos tea. Very friendly staff and all in all a great place for breakfast. Not too busy.

Arriving for a fast dinner, we were met not only by the courteous waiters who located a table for us right away, but also by an overpowering stench from the lavatory that permeated the entire restaurant. It smelled really bad. We placed an order for many pizzas, a mixed plate, and a few bottles of Montepulciano. The dinner was excellent; however, the wine, which was purchased at Lidl and then resold six times over, was a waste of good taste. Decent tiramisu. The restaurant didn't take cards, so another dessert was having to travel to the ATM to get money.

Had a meal last night. 10/10 great pizza, great chat to the owner about pizza dough. Even given me his details to message for advice when I get home. Going home and will create my own Sourdough starter. Many thanks for a great evening. They also do a Gluten free pizza.

This spot is delicious. Most who come to Ireland are seeking an authentic Irish meal, but do not overlook the Euro influences. This is an authentic Italian spot. Good apps, good main courses, wine, kids food, etc. Everyone was satisfied. Sit upstairs at the window for a nice view out of the intersection. If looking for Irish, not for you. But if looking for a great tasting authentic European feel, this was great.

Lovely and cosy spot to visit! Very nice interior to help you feel welcomed. Visited this place to catch up with my friend and upstairs seating was perfect for it, quiet so you can actually talk to each other. We got two starters- delicious fresh salads and pizza for main which was perfect and tasted like the one you would try in Italy! Reasonable pricing for Dublin and attentive waitress who looked after us!

Lovely little Italian restaurant tucked away near George Street Arcade. We started with the prawns baked in garlic butter, chile pepper and generous punches of lemon juice. It arrived on the table piping hot with small bits of bread soaking in the sauce. It was honestly so good! Next up was the margherita pizza (classic) and a beetroot, goat cheese salad which was drenched in dressing (just the way I like it!) and also fab. Hats off the chefs and to our sweet server who helped make the meal memorable.

A lovely place with great stuff. So much to discover in Ireland thanks to this Italian team working hard to give the best service and taste in everything they make. Will come back for sure. Don't miss the terrace and the Aperol Spritz with free finger food on Sundays.

Excellent food, everything on the menu is spot on - tastes amazing, looks great! This place is proper, it’s better than most places in actual Italy. Do yourself a favour and always check out the specials - they are usually quite special :)

Great breakfast spot in Stoneybatter. Meals are prepared fresh and the service is friendly. I had the hash browns (see photo) which were incredible. Others in my party said the pancakes were delicious and the matcha was spot on. Terrific option if you’re in the neighborhood!

We stumbled upon Slice in Dublin 7 by chance while looking for a coffee nearby — and what a great find it was! After ordering our drinks, we saw the staff carrying some absolutely delicious-looking pancakes to another table, and we couldn’t resist ordering them ourselves. They were incredible — fluffy, tasty, and beautifully presented. The staff were so, so friendly and welcoming, and the food was genuinely amazing. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

Stoneybatter is our favorite neighborhood in Dublin. We stay there every time we're in town. Slice is some of the best food you'll have in all of Ireland. It's incredibly fresh and the menu is ever changing with care and precision. The service and atmosphere is wonderful and don't forget a sausage roll to go! We can't wait to come back and enjoy another great meal at Slice 💜

Plate filled with plenty of great food, great prices and savours. Staff was super nice. Not a lot of spots inside, some spots outside. We were here for 9.40am and most of the seats inside were taken and some spots outside too. It was full by 10.30 when we left, so beware of possible waiting time, but it is fully worth it! Dogs allowed inside 🥰

I died and went to heaven. All dishes were not only delicious, but very carefully thought and made. The hostess and waitress were attentive and really friendly. There was a bit of a wait on Saturday, but they were able to accommodate 7 of us in about 20 minutes, and it was definitely worth the wait. I really recommend the pancakes, but everyone recommends the dishes they had, so you can't go wrong. Vegan options are great as well =)

Respectfully Andy Has to be said …… Nice little cafe . But Not impressed with the food . Bit disappointed that the staff actually presented us with what was obviously stale reheated hard oil soaked hash brown . The veg and leaves with it were old and stale also . And I asked for sauce on the side which was not on the side - it was in a dish in the middle of my plate taking up half the space .so basically a tiny portion . And at there prices I would expect more . We got one drink each off the bill for this . But when the staff brought the replacement hash brown - it wasn’t much better . The coffee was lovely First visit . Not sure about a return .

We stopped in for a pastry and coffee. Place is very busy with working locals. The fresh made sandwiches, meat pies, and quiches are selling fast!!

Walking food tour and we stopped at the bakery and ate a delicious puff pastry filled with meat and cheese. I might have missed this fantastic spot if not for the walking tour. Please check it out!!

Not sure why more people are not talking about this place. Maybe the marketing isn’t as strong as the hyped up bakeries, but the FACT is they deserve way more recognition. Service is always great, pastries are excellent and the location couldn’t be better. Everything I have tried has been amazing, but the Caramel Slice is easily one of the best desserts I have ever had!

See the men at work and enjoy excellent pastries and fantastic coffee where Garda officers take their lunch break. Very reasonable prices, super relaxed atmosphere.

Wonderful bakery right next door to our Airbnb, went there often. Excellent meat pies and pastries.Fresh bread and they'll make you fresh sandwiches. Enjoyed everything that we tried here over our two weeks. Favorites were steak pie and cottage pie. Fair prices.

A real traditional Dublin bakery. Cream cakes, buns, gur cake, brown soda bread. The sandwiches and bagels are very tasty as well. Very fair prices. Lovely staff who seem to know all their customers and are quick with the Dublin humour and wit.

This coffee shop delivers on its promises. Attention to detail and a no nonsense approach shows what a coffee shop can be. Healthy, nutritious options on the menu are made in-house: try the eggs Benedict on house brioche, Jesus wept. Coffee wise; try the macchiato made with Burundi Pearl(a truffley/plummy red bourbon that is unexpectedly light and long legged.

This is one of my favourite Dublin cafes. Easily missed it is built into the entrance of the Drury Street multi storey car park. But it is worth seeking out. Excellent coffee and sublime confectionery baked on the premises. They also do sandwiches, and will cook a delicious omelette to order. And of course service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.

Best coffee in Dublin in my opinion, and I tried a lot of them :) The cakes are also amazing! The service is super good and fast, they are also always ready to chat with you for a moment, not just brushing you off. The only downside is the limited space as during peak times it is hard to get a seat, but that just shows how good they are!

Not sure I should be writing about this little gem as I want there to be a seat for me the next time I go. The freshly ground coffee is top-notch and very reasonable compared to local competitors. i get a bit sad when they are out of almond croissants but that just shows how good they are. Coffee Bag seats add to the charm of this Dublin delight.

Franco-Slavic Coffee & Pastry Bar. Small but very comfy and tasty place. We appreciated great quality tea - smoked Caravan tea - mix of black and green tea blend. And tasty cakes were really tasty (very gentle taste) - we tried Napoleon, Cheesecake and a crunchy croissant with ham and cheese. Friends who tried cappuccino told it was of a good quality too. Russian speaking owner who was serving the counter too was very welcome and attentive. Pleasant experience!

This little coffee shop is a little haven in Dublin. Every time i visit the city i have tk pop in, whether its for breakfast or just a quick coffee. I've even made a friend from this friendly little place which also has a great atmosphere.

Family friendly restaurant doing French style pizzas with ementhal cheese. Their side salads are always tasty and fresh and their punchy garlic sauce is great. In the mornings they do fresh baked sourdough bread ( you need to be there early because they sell out quick) and their coffee is really good. They do sandwiches at lunch using their own sourdough - this place is a neighbourhood gem.

Fantastic soup of the day (cauliflower and potato) for an amazing value of 6.50€.

If you enjoy thin, crusty pizza, this is the spot for you. Very crusty delicious pizzas 🍕 we had the cauliflower parmesan one with the side salad, a perfect portion to share between two people

The sourdough and pastries are out of this world. They are deliciously well balanced and the variety of sweet and savouries leave you wanting one of everything (thus why the pic shows us splitting up bites!!) The coffee was well balanced, a lovely cup poured well. Can’t wait to get back one day for sandwiches and pizza!

The pizza was soooo go. I had the Vegan one and my boyfriend the one with champignons, the back garden has a really nice atmosphere and same for the music . Found it randomly on the maps and was better than I was expecting, good quality ingredients

Cosy place, nice staff. I ordered a special pizza. The filling was nice, but the dough was not tasty, dry and overbaked.
