Chinese restaurant
Ding How II is a vibrant Chinese eatery situated in Huntsville, Alabama at 4800 Whitesburg Drive South. With its lively ambiance and convenient location in a shopping center, this restaurant offers a variety of everyday Chinese dishes such as noodles and fried rice.
I had the almond fried chicken, pepper steak & shrimp fried rice...Everything was really good, just wish it was larger portions based on the price.
Deloria W — Google review
Decent Chinese style food. Reasonable prices for good food overall. The fried beef chohofun was excellent. Great flavor, and beef was very tender. The orange chicken is ok. Flavor was a bit off and the chicken was tough and chewy. Recommed the egg drop soup. On the down side, the salt shaker was disgustingly dirty and greasy.
BCM — Google review
The pot stickers were cold and the meat inside looked under cooked. We ordered the shrimp dumplings and never got them. The general tso chicken was cold. The only thing that was half decent was the hot and sour soup. I tried telling the waitress and she wouldn’t listen. She walked on by. Service was terrible. Read the other reviews and save yourself a trip and your hard earned money and go somewhere else. We won’t be back.

I've been dying to come here to try their dim sum. I finally remembered to come on the weekend with the family. I usually try out new places without my family during the week so it was hard for me to remember to come here when they have dim sum. This place was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. Everything we ordered looked great when it came out, however, most of the dishes were cold. I guess it was suspicious how quickly all the dim sum dishes came out. Like the baked pork buns were room temperature cold. The only dishes that were warm were the ones on the steamers like shumai. Even the roast duck was cold. Luckily everything we ordered tasted good. And my favorite egg custard tarts hit the spot. They were also cold, but I'm just happy to have some. The sesame balls were huge, but the filling was lacking. There was a similar but savory dish (I don't remember ordering) that had the smallest amount of filling, but it tasted good but it really left me feeling I needed more filling. They were both came out cold too. I would avoid these next time as well as the ribs. We ordered a couple made to order dishes like fried rice and beef chow fun. I didn't have any fried rice but everyone seemed to like it. I always love chow fun which is a fat rice noodle dish. So I was happy to see this on the menu. The portion seemed very small for a Chinese restaurant which I always think of as family style eating. I almost want to award it as the smallest portions of any Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. I really wanted to love this place, but the cold food and small portions made me hesitant for a 5 star. I still am so thankful there is a place for dim sum and chow fun in the area.
Michelle V — Google review
Always Very good food, very good service. One of our go-to places for chinese food in Huntsville. Very good egg rolls and egg drop soup. I prefer hot tea with my meal (or beer) as chinese restaurant sweet (iced) tea has a different flavor. Their hot tea was excellent. I normally get the cashew chicken and my wife typically gets the Mongolian beef. Less dried noodles on hers this time but both very good. We both prefer no onions so she got fresh fried rice without, and it was excellent. Late lunch was still a little busy.
Bill K — Google review
They offer dim sum on Saturdays and Sundays only... we initially went on a Sunday for Dim Sum, we found everything besides the steamed dumplings came out cold, even the roast duck. We gave it a second chance but on Saturday morning (since I had a theory the food would be nice and warm on the first day of the only 2 days dim sum is available). My theory held true, everything was hot to our liking and the taste was superb, very reminiscent of NYC Chinatown dim sum. The roast pork had crunchy skin, the baked pork buns were flavorful and the beef curry patty was the best I've ever had, the hot tea was perfect. Would go back 1000 more times but on Saturdays only.
Matthew H — Google review
Ding How II is great anytime for traditional Chinese (Cantonese) food but Dim Sum is a must. They only do it on the weekends and the place can get very crowded so be sure to get there around 10:45am as the doors will open at 11 unless you want to wait for a table. My number one Dim Sum recommendation will be the BBQ pork buns. Everything is great but the buns are by far my favorite!
James B — Google review
Overpriced and didn't even get what we asked for. Rude service. Ordered 2 sesame chicken and 1 general taos. The fried rice had been mixed with white rice to fill the container. Ordered this to go, so didn't find out about the order being wrong until home 30 mins away.

Indian restaurant
Sitar Indian Cuisine is a delightful haven for lovers of classic Indian fare, offering an extensive menu that caters to both seafood enthusiasts and vegetarians alike. The restaurant prides itself on its impressive vegetarian selection, with many appetizers and soups crafted from plant-based ingredients. Guests can indulge in a daily lunch buffet that showcases an array of traditional dishes such as garlic naan, various curries, chicken tikka masala, and the must-try mango lassi.
Fantastic food here. The naan is chewy-exactly how I like it. The dishes are flavorful. The rice is cooked with bay leaves and some other seasonings I can’t quite place. The staff is friendly. The samosas are DELICIOUS. Not the fanciest place, but not every place needs to be fancy. Great place to go solo or with a group of friends or a cozy date night. I still haven’t managed to come for the buffet, but hopefully I can rectify that soon. I usually get take out but sometimes dine in. 10/10 do recommend.
Katrina V — Google review
Food was top tier! The only complaint I had was that it was freezing cold inside the building when it was freezing outside. I’m not sure if they even have heat inside but we tried to enjoy our food but we were just too cold to really eat and enjoy the atmosphere. Overall, food was great just wish it was warmer.
Linda R — Google review
Great stop for a quick lunch. Service was awkward but friendly. Buffet had classic dishes and were well prepared. Nice mix of chicken and vegetable options, sauces, and dessert. Would come again.
Nom N — Google review
Subpar. My partner wanted me to come to this restaurant as we just moved to the area and he loves trying previous establishments or new ones he’s been interested in. I was excited to come in and experience something new, especially ethnic cuisine. I’m not one who takes hospitality and service lightly having previously worked at multiple restaurants as server, bartender and management. An establishments client care and hospitality is what ties it together. From the beginning, I assume the owner or whom ever was in charge - said no words. Sat us down. Threw our napkins in our directions in such a shocking manner. The way he poured our water was as if he had no care and wanted nothing to do with us as clients. Not once did they ask if we needed anything to drink specific, if we were good on refills. The air felt dense and it just ruined the entire experience. If I ever personally want Indian food in this area I’m either going to another establishment or having someone order pick up for me. Our server’s attitude was much nicer and barely able to salvage my personal experience. If this establishment ever looks at these reviews and needs something to work on please keep up to date on your hospitality and how you treat the clients who keep you in business. - This is not a sound business practice and there are several other reviews stating the same issue. I come from an ethnic background as well and it could be argued it’s culture but even then, if you have an establishment there should be no animosity to hospitality.
Jesse H — Google review
Really enjoyed our appetizer and sauces! However we both ordered lamb dishes and it wasn’t very fresh to us. Seemed like it had been previously cooked and then reheated… service and atmosphere was fine. Would try again with something else. The garlic naan was delicious!

Today I 2nd time I went to sitar Indian restaurant I was so disappointed after ordering the panner bhurji which was looking like normal dal.The thing is there was no onion chopped chili cilantro and spices which we use to make panner bhurji so I asked the waiter again is this panner bhurji he said yes hr it's like this so better sir u can learn the panner bhurji how to make from ur waiter because after his smile it was me kwning that he can make perfect Indian food common guys we r hr to have some Indian food we r paying for that please.

I wish there was an option of giving negative ratings. The person on the counter with long hair is very rude. Bad service, Bad food and the way they treat their customer is really disappointing and bad. Food was also not good. If you really want to go out and eat then either go somewhere else or throw your money in the dumpster instead of going to this restaurant and wasting your money, time and ruining your mood.
Mohit D — Google review
Picked up a large to go order. Food is delicious! Order was ready on time, and hot / fresh. Friendly service, kept me informed on progress, aa I arrived early. Definitely recommend Sitar!

German restaurant
Restaurant
Ol Heidelberg Cafe is a long-standing German restaurant in Huntsville, established in 1972. The cozy decor features red-and-white checkered tablecloths, dark wood finishes, and waitresses dressed in dirndls. The menu offers traditional German entrees, sandwiches, and sides, including schnitzel, spatzle, and various sausage platters. Known for its authentic German atmosphere and generous portions of hearty food, the restaurant has earned a reputation for good service and reasonable prices.
My wife and I went here for our anniversary. We were in Germany a year ago, and we wanted to be reminded on that. They did an excellent job of recreating the atmosphere and preparing the dishes. A little spendy but good.
Chadwick B — Google review
We’ve tried pretty much every high quality restaurant in both Madison and Huntsville areas. This is hands down one of the top 5 best restaurants in northern Alabama. We love bringing our team here for special occasions. Get breaded pork schnitzel with mushroom gravy on top. It’s to die for and such a tasty comfort food. Having been to Germany, I was shocked by how under rated and unknown their cuisine is but this restaurant captures it beautifully. The food and atmosphere legitimately transfer you to Germany! This is a gem for the huntsville area. I would run to eat here, it’s that good!
Prime L — Google review
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Warmly greeted when I walked in. Restaurant is decorated like a week loved home, with antiques, pictures, and flowers. Felt warm and inviting. Music was low and conversation could easily be had. Food arrived in a timely manner, and was prepared perfectly. Warm, fresh bread was served before the food. Also--as i was leaving there was a network outage and I couldn't look up directions to my next destination. The manager happily looked up my destination and gave me basic directions to get there. Above and beyond service. Thank you.

I was touring alabama, and I met somebody the day before I arrived in Huntsville. That person told me she comes here every year for her birthday - so I thought I'd give it a try. The name says cafe, but it really is more like a restaurant. I have the pork schnitzel with fried potatoes and a house salad with blue cheese dressing. Everything was great, tasty, and seasoned properly. I especially enjoyed the blue cheese dressing - it actually had nice chunks of blue cheese in it. The staff was quite friendly and attentive, and overall it was a good value.

If you’re ever in Huntsville and want some real German food, you’ve got to stop at Old Heidelberg. I went while in town for Back to the Future: The Musical and it was such a great experience. They were super busy when I walked in, but the hostess got me seated quickly. My waitress, Alyssa, was amazing — super friendly and checked on me often. I ordered the Bavarian pork schnitzel, and it was absolutely delicious. They brought fresh bread and salad while I waited, and one of the waiters, Ward, even took time to explain the difference between European and American beer pressure — which was really interesting! Everyone there made me feel welcome, which meant a lot since I was dining alone. And the carrot cake at the end? Huge slice, amazing flavor, and enough to take home and currently eating while writing this review Shout out Alyssa and Ward for the best service I've ever had in a restaurant! I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Huntsville.
Travis B — Google review
This historic restaurant that had a lot of the people involved with the space program in the early days come here...well the original location because of course they moved to this location but it still has the charm. Excellent service knowledgeable about the menu was Japeth our server... phenomenal German and beers on tap and even in the bottle. Must start off with the warm sauerkraut and red cabbage with the squaw bread so good. There's so many good things on the menu and whatever you do you must have something with Gypsy sauce on it. It would be hard to come back to Huntsville without stopping at this classic and tasty restaurant.
Russell A — Google review
First visit in about three years. Second visit overall. The first experience wasn't good. We were never waited on after we were seated. We walked out. Overall yesterday went well. The food was very good. The service wasn't bad but it wasn't great. My wife asked about the special on the board and she knew nothing about it and didn't make an effort to inquire about it. She told us she had been there for seven years. It's a shame. I'm sure we'll be back because the food was very good. I'd recommend the Bavarian pork schnitzel with warm potato salad. I also got the slaw. My wife got the black forest meatballs over spatzel.
Doug L — Google review
Top notch service. Knowledgable wait staff on top of their game. Nice varied food selection without being pages of options. Our sausage appetizer was enhanced by its simplicity allowing the food itself to be the focal point. Both the Traditional Pork Schnitzel and the Bavarian Pork Schnitzel were lightly breaded and nicely seasoned. The spaetzle was flavorful and the Jaeger gravy on point. The only nit was that the Traditional Schnitzel needed to be pounded a bit thinner. The dessert case looked amazing, but the portions were large and we sadly never got to dessert.

Viet Huong is a modest Vietnamese restaurant that offers a wide selection of traditional dishes, such as pho, noodles, and clay pot meals. Despite its unassuming appearance, the restaurant has gained popularity among locals for its generous portions and flavorful Vietnamese cuisine. While their Rare Steak and Brisket Pho is a crowd favorite, they also serve clay pot bowls, crab Rangoon, noodle dishes, and egg rolls.
Good eat place! Service was good. I love their fried egg rolls. They came out hot and crispy. I had the Korean short ribs, my wife had the chicken clay pot. Food was excellent. We will definitely continue to support
Larry J — Google review
This place was pretty decent. It gets really crowded but the service is good. The food was tasty and they give you a good size portion. I wasn't too impressed with their spring rolls as I prefer the crunchy one's but the seafood claypot was great. The crab Rangoon was good as well. I'll definitely be back for that seafood claypot
Martha W — Google review
Incredible food. The best Vietnamese food I’ve had. So much flavor. The beef and chicken clay pot was a hit at our table. We also enjoyed the Korean beef and the vermicelli with charbroiled pork. Highly recommend!!! The Vietnamese coffee was great too. The egg rolls were to die for! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mary S — Google review
I will spend my days chasing the Pho I had here.. so good! Worth going back to Huntsville just for this stop. I lean towards vegetarian menus but opted for the plain beef pho and added crispy tofu and would order this again and again and again if I could.
Mae K — Google review
Viet Houng as an absolute delight. They use fresh ingredients, and they bring your food to you piping hot! Their vegetarian menu is all I have ordered from (in addition to appetizers and boba), and everything on there I have tried is DELICIOUS! I also enjoy the number of hot sauces and condiments available at the table! They have some of the best chili oil I have tried; I can't get enough of it. I would recommend trying their spring rolls (I dream about their peanut sauce), as well as some boba for desert! They use cream in their boba which makes it a little different than most places, and it's very rich! I will often come to eat here when I want a nice sit down restaurant near MidCity, without the ridiculous MidCity prices. I would highly recommend!

My Favourite restaurant in Huntsville for 7 years and on... I have traveled around the Asian countries and nothing compared to this place ans their taste and price. Keep it up
Oindry A — Google review
Believe the hype. This place is good! It was super busy on a Tuesday night so I figured it had to be good. The service was good for it being so busy. Prompt and polite. The atmosphere is very nice. Very clean. I got the fresh spring rolls for an appetizer and they were delicious. Excellent sauce to dip them in. I got the special clear noodle bowl as an entree and my partner got shaken beef. My noodle bowl was really good. All the seafood was cooked perfect. The shaken beef was cooked perfectly. I'm probably going to order that the next time I come! Can't wait to come back and try more things!
P G — Google review
It was our first time to eat there. While the service was excellent, the food wasn’t up to par. I ordered the chicken curry and rice. The flavor was good, but the chicken was way over cooked…tough and chewy. My wife ordered chicken and vegetables and she had the same issue with her chicken.

This modern eatery and sushi bar offers an inviting atmosphere where you can savor a diverse menu featuring Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes. Known for its exceptional value, Four Leaves is a culinary gem that consistently delivers quality meals and friendly service. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Our waiter, Ying, always checked on us, and was very friendly. The prices here are good and you get A LOT of food. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back..

We passed Four Leaves on our way to a meeting and pulled the reviews to see if we might eat there after the meeting. The reviews were high so we stopped. It was early for dinner and the restaurant was fairly empty. We ordered an appetizer and our main courses. The appetizer was fine but a little bland. The mains came out steaming hot, way too hot to eat. I burned my mouth so it pretty much ruined the rest of our meal. That said both dishes we ordered were disappointing. Overall our experience was slightly below average.
Coach K — Google review
Their food has been good every time we have visited. Their flavor is a bit different from similar restaurants. The green was very hot. But had weak flavor. Probably needed to steep longer. Let me know how you tea is.

My Sushi Chef did an amazing job on my 4 leaves roll this evening! The presentation was on point and the taste was fabulous. If it were appropriate, I would have taken a pic of him ;). This is one of our favorite spots.

Four Leaves Asian never disappoints! Leo is our favorite server at Four Leaves. She is so friendly and nice! Scott and I enjoyed dinner after Cocktails and Cosmos Planetarium on Friday night. We love that Four leaves is open until 1030! My drunken noodles and mango martini were delicious! Scott also really enjoyed his Pad Thai. Especially love sitting near the fountain to hear the relaxing bubbling sounds while we enjoy dinner. Thank you! Tina Garbe, Realtor Leading Edge RE Group Madison

This was a spur of the moment lunch decision..loved the atmosphere..the food was delicious 😋 and my server was very attentive..next time I'm gonna try their sushi..oh yeah, I really enjoyed their hot and sour soup..of course I ordered my favorite dish..General Tso chicken ☺️☺️..so thankful it the chicken wasn't lost in breading.

We had my daughter and son's birthday here and got a private section to celebrate. Overall, the room for the party was the best part. I think the food wasn't bad, not great. I'd say that they aren't overpowering in spices and flavor, but I'd have like a little more...flavor. Most of my attention was on the sushi. I think it's fresh for sure, just not... the best? Too many offerings on a menu create not a specific set of flavor imo. But either way, it's worth coming here to do dinner or celebrate. Read my reviews for better sushi.

What sets Viet Cuisine apart is its focus on using fresh ingredients and genuine spices to create mouthwatering meals. The friendly staff and inviting atmosphere add to the overall dining experience.
Went on busy day with large group. We had to wait for a table but they took our order while we waited and delivered the food to the table as we sat. Such friendly service drink is never empty. Food is flavored just right. Love the spring rolls.

Words cannot explain the amazing taste and flavor of this dish. My wife and I have been recently interested in trying new places and came across Viet Cuisine, It was our first time experiencing Vietnamese food and it did NOT disappoint! The service has to be some of the best I've personally experienced at any restaurant, greeted and seated within less than a minute of entering this establishment. Not to mention after we got our drinks and placed our orders, the food came out in less than 5 minutes between the two of us. The only thing I would have to say that I wasn't a fan of was the lack of space that the restaurant has in terms of seating but besides that I enjoyed my experience here today and I would highly recommend if you're ever willing to try new things! (I chose my dish based off other Google reviews so I had an idea of what I'd like ahead of time!)

Me and my coworkers love coming here, for a sitdown or to get takeout. The prices are very reasonable, the service is quick, food is delicious and comes out quickly. Sometimes it can be crowded at lunch but thats because it's one of Huntsvilles hidden secrets. I've come here probably 10 times in the past two years and always left full and had a great experience.

Absolutely Amazing Experience! I had the Special Clay Pot and it was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The food alone was worth the visit, but what made the experience truly special was the chance to speak with one of the owners. You can feel the care, passion, and pride they put into everything. I’m truly thankful for such a warm and welcoming experience. Keep doing great things—I’ll definitely be back!

I always have an amazing experience at Viet Cuisine! The food is absolutely delicious, with authentic Vietnamese flavors that truly shine. I loved the chicken clay pot with brown rice—so fresh and packed with vibrant veggies! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The restaurant is clean, and the service is quick, even during busy times. Highly recommend this gem on Jordan Lane for anyone craving top-notch Vietnamese food in Huntsville. El Olmeca is a Mexican restaurant located in Huntsville, AL. It offers a variety of traditional Mexican dishes that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. The menu includes unique Mexican meals as well as favorite classics. Customers have praised the delicious bean dip served with chips and salsa, along with generous portion sizes. While some diners highly recommend the authentic cuisine and commendable service, others have expressed disappointment with certain dishes such as the ceviche lacking flavor.
A little noisy but excellent food and margaritas. I have been eating here close to 30 years and never had a bad meal. Chips are thin and crisp.

The food is well made and the staff is very attentive. It is one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. Very convenient location right off Hwy 431.
Joseph S — Google review
We had a really disappointing experience at El Olmeca. My friend showed a valid out-of-state ID, and the server still denied it. We asked politely if the manager could stop by just so we could understand why it was denied, even acknowledging that they have the right to refuse service. Instead of a simple explanation, we were told the manager was “too busy” and later that it “wasn’t worth their time” to speak with us and that we should just leave. We might have stayed if we’d been treated with basic respect, but between the dismissive attitude from the server and the manager’s refusal to engage, it was clear our business wasn’t valued.

Pretty standard mexican food place. Seems more "authentic" than the other option in owens cross roads. service is good and the people are friendly. came on a trivia night, so it was very noisy but a fun crowd. tamales were the best thing we had there.
Dee H — Google review
This is a nice little hole in the wall restaurant. The food is always fresh/good, especially their fajitas. The price is what wins this place over. They great food for a good price. We come every month. The margaritas here are fantastic 🍹
Kevin H — Google review
Showed up with my actual real ID and was still refused service and a bad attitude. Not sure if this place doesn’t know what a real ID looks like, or if they just enjoy turning away paying customers. Either way won’t be back. Plenty of other Mexican restaurants in the city that understand both good food and the law.
Ava M — Google review
I normally am not a fan of Mexican food, but this was my exception! Everything about this place was fantastic. I would like the salsa a little more spicy and possibly a bit chunkier, but that really is just personal preference and a bit of nit picking. The tables and chair's are impeccably painted and carved. The whole restaurant is perfectly decorated. Great place for a date, with mood lighting and music and all.
Grace T — Google review
I've gone here since 2007. It's not at all what it used to be. There is no way Jaime is looking at this food and approving it. It's reheated bullshi* the first pictures are the uncooked food I was served. The last one was after I cooked it myself. Absolutely atrocious for the price.

Indian Kitchen is a popular spot known for its flavorful and slightly spicy dishes. Some of the must-try items on their menu include Coriander Chicken, Lam Roganjosh, Lamb Tikka Masala, and Tandoori Chicken. The buffet-style setup allows guests to sample a variety of dishes, with favorites like chili chicken and lemon rice standing out. While some visitors noted concerns about hygiene practices among other diners, many enjoyed the diverse selection of food available.
Great Indian restaurant. I came by about 35 minutes before closing so it was a bit rushed and I never had a server come to my table to take my mango lassi order. I only saw the server when he came by to say the buffet was closing and when they came to pick up plates. It was nice to get the warning about buffet closing. I love this place.

Best Indian restaurant in Huntsville! We've visited a few different Indian places in Huntsville and this one is by FAR and away the best we've tried! The Chicken Tikka Masala and Madras were amazing! The food came out much more quickly than expected and honestly the flavors were superb. Will definitely visit here again!

I ordered the butter chicken and it was so good! Tried a friend's chicken biryani and that was delicious too. My husband had the Tandoori Chicken and loved it. Service was a bit slow but we were with friends and weren't in a rush. Would definitely eat here again!

The food is always good. Today it was extremely extremely slow for service mind you the place was not busy at all. The service is always so so very to the point not much talking or very personable. But like always the food is good, for dinning in or take out.

Delicious Indian food. A little bit more authentic than The Modern Curry. I had the butter chicken and it was the best butter chicken I’ve had in HSV so far. When we went for dinner it was not crowded at all. We were seated immediately and our food was out within minutes. Only about one or two tables were occupied at the time. Great experience and delicious food. Will be back again soon.
Aliza B — Google review
Indian Kitchen was definitely an enjoyable dining experience. This was my second visit with friends, and our favorites remain the paneer tikka masala and garlic naan — both are delicious and perfectly spiced. This time, we also tried the chicken biryani and gobi manchurian. I’d recommend skipping the gobi manchurian, as it felt a bit overpriced for the portion and taste. The chicken biryani was okay but could have used a bit more depth in flavor. Previously, we also ordered the butter chicken but still prefer the paneer tikka masala for its rich taste. We haven’t tried their lunch buffet yet, but it’s definitely on our list for next time! Overall, if you’re a fan of Indian food, Indian Kitchen is worth a visit.

This place was delicious!!! Must try if you’ve never been. The first time we came to this location it was owned by someone else, and I wasn’t fond of the food. That was in 2016 maybe?? But husband reassured me it was not the same, and it really wasn’t!! We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala medium spicy and Lamb Vindaloo spicy, Peshwari Nann, and a appetizer that was cauliflower with a spicy red sauce ( I can’t remember the name) First let me just say.. their basmati rice was amazing. I don’t know what they did different. I don’t know how they made it, but it was amazingly good. My husband is Asian and we eat a lot of rice and spicy food. He said that this restaurant was perfect for adding the HEAT that he has been searching for all over this city. The Chicken Tikka Masala was so creamy and the chicken was fresh and not dried out! I can say that in the 6 states we have lived in this is the best one I’ve ever had. Now for the Peshwari Nann the flavor was great, I just wish the fruit nut mixture was more of a spread on the inside and not such large pieces thrown between the nann. It was so delicious, I just am a texture eater and would have preferred them smaller. The service was quick, and the server we had was friendly and helpful.

Love this place! The chicken biryani serving is huge, enough for two people! Also enjoyed the peshwari naan. They have a lunch buffet everyday except Mondays, it’s cheaper on Tuesday Wednesday Thursday vs Friday Saturday Sunday. Haven’t tried yet but excited. Service was great, highly recommend!

Miyako Japanese Restaurant is a long-standing favorite in Huntsville, known for its variety of sushi rolls, Hibachi, Tempura, and Japanese plates. The informal setting and affordable options make it popular among sushi lovers. The restaurant offers a well-balanced ambiance with traditional Japanese music and decor. Their menu includes options like the Philadelphia Roll with cream cheese and smoked salmon for under $10, as well as bento box specials for $9.50.
Best Japanese found in Huntsville! It was my hubby and mine first time dinning in this cozy Japanese restaurant. We ordered steak and chicken hibachi, tempura udon, and eel over rice. Everything was so delicious and reasonably priced! The chicken and steak were very tender and flavorful. The udon soup had an amazing umami/shiitake mushroom taste and its clear broth was amazing too! All the three dishes we ordered came with really good salad (with that gingery Japanese dressing) and miso soup! Highly recommend this place to anyway and will definitely come back to this delicious place again!

3 hour trip was worth it. Had Mango sushi (round plate), Sake sushi with a honey sauce (rectangle plate), and sweet potatoe roll (leaf plate). They even surprised me with a complimentary deep fried cheese cake for my birthday. Very delicious!

My husband and I decided to give this place a try because we were told the sushi was good. They have quite a few options to pick from on their menu. We ordered the spicy shrimp tempura, a sushi roll, and two of the hibachi combination meals. The shrimp were a big size and pretty good, and the hibachi meals were only okay. Our proteins were a little tough. We would recommend the sushi. We had a spicy one with Angel hair noodles I believe on it, which was a completely new style of sushi for us and it was absolutely delicious. We decided we would go back, but probably just for sushi.

The atmosphere isn't bad. There is plenty of seating for big parties. The service was ok. It wasn't bad, I just think they should have been more patient with us asking about items on the menu. We came from out of town and weren't familiar with the menu. I got sushi and chicken tempura. The sushi was ok. I asked for white sauce and eel sauce. The white said had a flavor that I'm not familiar with. The eel sauce tastes like soy sauce.

La Esquina Cocina is a must-visit for Mexican food enthusiasts, offering authentic dishes made from scratch with imported ingredients like chiles de arbol from Mexico City. The menu features flavorful options that cater to various tastes, including those who are not typically fans of Mexican cuisine. House specialties like El Chorizo con Queso Fundido are highly recommended. Situated in downtown Huntsville, Alabama, this upscale restaurant provides a modern dining experience with traditional Mexican items and innovative Latin-inspired dishes.
Went to tired it out. Got say love their drinks especially the seasonal which was watermelon and pineapple currently. Food wise; they have queso with shrimp (is weirdly good, normally used to queso with beef or chorizo) and main food tried Enchiladas De Picadillo & Enchiladas Verdes. If you looking for something with a spicy taste go with the Verdes, the De Picadillo were also decent overall.
Sergio F — Google review
We visited La Esquina Cocina to try their restaurant week specials. We had a taco plate (tacos: al pastor, grilled shrimp, and avocado) with rice and beans and the restaurant week special which was a 4 taco flight (we chose carne asada, grilled fish, chorizo, and cochinita pibil), chip & dip trio, and a choice of dessert. We had to ask for the chips and dip to be brought out after our tacos arrived, but other than that service was nice. The food was delicious.

I came here with some friends to celebrate some birthdays, and our server was so sweet! I got the chicken quesadilla and it was AMAZING. Definitely coming back again. Their guacamole was delicious I almost asked for some to take home. 10/10 recommend trying this place.
Emily T — Google review
The food was delicious and flavorful! Something we really liked about the restaurant is that they do not cross-contaminate between meat and seafood. My husband loved the empanadas and the tacos, the meat was tender and full of flavor. It was amazing to find a Mexican restaurant that doesn’t put cheese in tacos and vegetarian frijoles instead of the beans with lard that most other restaurants do. Definitely recommend to vegetarians. Overall, we loved the food and thank you for your wonderful service!

Queso w/ chorizo & poblanos was spectacular! Portions hearty! They were sweet and provided candles for my b-day dessert. Steak was so tender and the bowl I ordered was delicious. Corn&pablano soup was only item that could use a bit more seasoning which is what I did the following day as my leftover. Overall, delicious food and great environment.

Came into Panda Express thinking oh yaaa orange chicken. Then come to find out it’s not a Panda Express, but it’s own place. Which made me happier. I haven’t found lemon chicken anywhere, they had it. I got that , egg drop soup, & 2 egg rolls. Cost me a little over $25. The egg rolls were light & crispy. The soup was delicious with the crispies. The lemon chicken was good, a big serving. But the lemon sauce seemed a more honey sauce with a hint of lemon. Good though, a bit sweet. And very, very sticky. I barely touched the container & the stickiness was everywhere! Even places I swear I didn’t touch! I will be back, the food was so so good! You know when you have food from somewhere & others see & say “ from such & such? Ya they have good food!” I got that a lot when I ate this at work. So yes I’ll be back!

We’re new to the area and haven’t had decent Chinese since we’ve been here but this place was great. We were immediately warmly greeted. We had lunch and they have a basic limited lunch menu. I was really happy to notice the “special” on the wall. The Rangoon roll. It was soooo good and I’ve been wanting more since the other day! It’s their play on a crab rangoon, but wrapped in rice and seaweed then breaded in tempura and fried. It’s fabulous! My daughter ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. I ordered general tso chicken fried rice and wonton soup. Everything was hot and fresh. Generous portions were placed in a takeout container. That was handy. We will be back.

What an awesome place for a romantic date night or a place to bring friends for a great vibe! The dreamy outdoor lights and plants drew us in. Our server Shaun was incredible and had a cheery personality. We both agreed that we had the best buffalo wings of our lives and we cannot wait to try the other flavors!! The menu did not lie- the wings had a golden crisp. The chicken was juicy and the wings were big and fresh! The ranch was delicious as well. Our cheesecake looks great as you can see here but was outrageously overpriced at $18 a slice and was overcooked and under-sweetened. But the dessert was our only complaint. Nice brewery taproom downtown in a restored old building. Plenty of tables upstairs and downstairs with a big bar opposite the brewing area (Chandler Ford Brewing). The beer is fresh and tasty, and they have some guest taps on hand to supplement the somewhat limited brewery taps. The service is top-notch, very attentive from the guy at the door to the bartenders. Parking in the garage next door is free on the weekends, otherwise you’ll need to find street parking.

Customers praise the friendly staff, excellent service, and the option to reserve Tatami rooms for an authentic Japanese dining experience. The menu features mouth-watering sushi and homemade Japanese dishes that are beautifully prepared and delicious.

Been here since 2008, never fails to disappoint. Best waitresses! One thing people don't know about is the traditional tables that they have in the back. You take off your shoes and head right on in. Underneath the table there is space to put your legs so don't worry about kneeling.
Michael P — Google review
The food here is definitely the best Japanese cuisine that you can find in this area. The menu has a decently wide amount of options to choose from, such as noodles, teriyaki, and sushi. The lunch deal, while usually being very inexpensive for the amount of food that you get, can vary from time to time depending on what they have that day. Do note that sushi can get quite expensive very quickly if you order a few types. On another note, I've noticed that the food sometimes comes out barely warm, if not almost cold at times. The chicken dishes, while the cheapest, are the most common ones (though fully cooked!). This is likely due to them having to prepare a variety of smaller dishes, which causes some other ones to get cold. However, the noodles are always piping hot and large in portion size. The atmosphere is decent, but nothing high end. It is definitely Japanese, but many seats are falling apart in stitching. The walls aren't the absolute cleanest either. The physical menus could use some updating as well. While there is also a sushi counter/bar, I haven't tried it myself. There are several trees, ones that are commonly grown in Japan, planted outside the restaurant. There's even a pond outside too, but I haven't seen it running before. Overall, a good place to visit with friends, family, or a date while not being very expensive. I would simply sum up the food as "decent". However, there could be at least some updating to the interior of the restaurant.

Good food but rice needs some improvement. They could use better quality rice and cook it to perfection. Service could improve beyond just showing up initially for the orders and very late at the end to deliver the check.
Patrick L — Google review
Edo was just an average Japanese restaurant. The food was OK but nothing great. We had a spicy tuna roll, some Tempura Udon and a combo plate with shrimp tempura and teriyaki beef. The beef was fatty and looked like it was boiled then has some sauce on top. The shrimp tempura was actually very good. But the tempura udon was basically a clump of tempura veggies in Udon soup. The noodles were good and the broth was tasty but the tempura ruined it. I will not be coming back.

Restaurant was clean and bathroom was clean and stocked well with soap, tp, and paper towels. This was my 3rd visit. I will be back to try their seafood! 4/13/2022 Update: Today my mom and I visited here. We visited during lunch hours. The restaurant was very full. Tables were being cleaned ASAP. We were seated within 5 minutes. Our waitress was very sweet and nice. The restaurant seemed pretty clean. The atmosphere was welcoming. We did have to wait a little while for our food but it was worth it because the food was super delicious! I bought us our all-time favorite cheeseburgers and french fries and onion rings with Dr peppers. Our waitress refilled our drinks and kept a check on us. We will definitely be coming back!

Overall The Po Boy Factory was an amazing experience. I arrived here later in the day so it wasn’t busy at all. The staff as soon as I walked in was very friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant screams Mardi Gras with all the paintings around the restaurant. The food is what gives this a 4 star. I ordered the Seafood Platter. The amount of food for the money was perfect yet the food itself was good not great. Honestly this was a really good experience and I’ll be back to try other things. Stephanie is greattttttttt!!!!!

Drove by this place for years. Had lunch here today. Very busy at lunch hour. Staff very courteous and friendly. We had the seafood platter. It was delicious. I will certainly go back again. I recommend this place for lunch. Again, very busy but the food was worth the wait.

We had an awesome experience visiting P.F. Chang's! Our server Cassy walked us through the menu and helped us pick out some delicious options and just overall made the evening so fun. Everything came out super fast and tasted great, so we'll definitely be back again!

Our waitress, Catherine, was amazing! Best service we have had anywhere in awhile! Food was yummy and hot! Prices were a little too high, but our experience was great and that meant a lot to us! I got the orange chicken and I added white rice to it.
Julie S — Google review
Great service. Classic Chinese food served in a modern space. Vegetables were fresh and crisp (not overcooked). Flavors were decent. Singapore street noodles were saucier than expected, and the fried onions on top were a little much, but the noodles had a good firmness and the dish was still tasty. Slightly better, and pricier, than your typical Chinese but a nice experience.

Placed an order for Curbside pickup (scheduled pickup time 8:21pm). My order was brought out about 10 minutes past the scheduled pickup time. I ordered the chicken lettuce wrap appetizer and they put the chicken on top of the crispy rice sticks (what little bit there were) instead of putting those into a separate container. They didn’t provide many of the rice sticks which was a bummer, but a blessing in disguise I suppose because what they did include were nothing but mush and looked like spaghetti noodles. I think it would have made it unbearable to eat if they had put the normal amount in there. Half of the chicken mixture was in the side with the ‘5’ pieces of romaine lettuce, so 2 of the 5 pieces of the lettuce were soggy and inedible. Is it me, or did they used to give you more than 5 pieces of lettuce?! No napkins were provided. Very disappointing experience and a waste of money. I’m personally about done with eating out. These places keep getting more and more expensive and their quality and quantity keeps going down, down, down.

Well ...if you're at Bridge St, Kona Grill has better Fried Rice. I ordered a meal special: one small appetizer, protein and choice of rice. The salmon looked like 2 salmon turns (tiny slithers) and I upgraded the rice to "fried" rice for $3 upcharge. The salmon wasn't good and the upcharged rice wasn't worth it. The carrot pieces were thin and microscopic and I didn't see not one chunk of scrambled egg. And to make it worse, the rice was mushy-mushy. I've had better frozen entries for this specific meal. The service was excellent. But the food was subpar. I did sit at the bar and I was primarily there for the birthday dessert freebie and wanted to grab dinner also. The food quality was HORRIBLE. But the two gentlemen behind the bar were pleasant.

PF Changs has always been a bit of an expensive kind of treat for us but their new lunch/dinner meal deal is genuinely great value for what you get. A lot of customer favorite options for a good price. Highly recommend going back and trying their new deal. This location is often busy with a wait, even if there are empty tables available, which is a little bit of a shame. Staff were very attentive and friendly!

It has been many, many years since we visited this restaurant. We met some friends there tonight and had an absolutely amazing experience. The food was so delicious with a beautiful presentation. Our server Savanah was delightful and very attentive to taking care of us. The manager even stopped by to personally check on how our experience was and even cleared some of our dishes; truly modeling a lead by example / hands on management style. We'll done by all--we will definitely be back soon.....

Our waiter Brandon was amazing. Made sure to get Our food to us quickly as well as have our to go Orders ready. He was very friendly and quick to ask if we needed anything. He also put our food in the boxes to go. We love the Huntsville location. He is really good at what he does. Top notch. Had my grandson with us and usually we don’t get to enjoy our meal because he doesn’t like to sit still but today he did so good and having an amazing waiter like Brandon was great!! So it was a food day… also he recommended the Pepper steak and it was so good.

Sushi restaurant
Phuket Thai Restaurant and Sushi, located in Huntsville, Alabama, offers a diverse menu of authentic Thai cuisine and fresh sushi rolls. The modern dining space is popular for its minimalist decor and also hosts cooking classes. One of their standout dishes is the Phuket Roll, featuring baked scallops and snow crab with spicy sauce and lava sauce. Chef Tukky ensures that guests experience the best of Thai food at this establishment, from traditional dishes to stir-fries.
Better than I remembered! I moved away about ten years ago and made sure this was the first place I ate when I came back this week. The atmosphere was quiet but friendly, and the staff were affable and welcoming. This was exactly how I remembered. Then it got better. I ordered what looked like my old favorite, but it wasn't what I remembered. It was better. Pad Thai Seafood was the perfect portion size, filled with flavor, and cooked to perfection. I had a Chicken Satay appetizer, which was delivered quickly, fresh, flavorful, and juicy. The peanut sauce and Thai cucumber salad were a perfect accompaniment to this dish. My only complaint is i can't eat here more often. But i am glad I always have a place to look forward to when visiting.

The food was okay. My dish was a little salty and somewhat disappointing if I’m honest. Our server was super nice. The appetizers were yummy. We had shrimp Rangoon and spring rolls. Very yummy! My friend got a curry and she really loved it.
Cara L — Google review
Food was okay! Everything we had was way too sweet... pictured is the jungle curry. I was so excited about the coconut soup but it was sooo sweet... my husbands tom yum soup was also overly sweet to the point of not being enjoyable...will not be returning for this reason, but the service was very good! Hence the 3 stars

In Huntsville, Alabama for a week. Phuket Thai Restaurant was conveniently located across the street from my hotel in a nice area. I love Thai food and I’ve been to Bangkok, Thailand more times than I can remember and Phuket once! No brainer, right! I used due diligence; the waitress was even Thai. Except, we are in Alabama, not Thailand. I ordered the jungle curry and a side of steamed rice. The chicken was tough…. Tough because it was obviously pre-cooked, frozen, and then rapid-thawed and heated up for my dinner. The curry was totally wrong. It was watery. Trying to skimp on the curry ingredients to stretch profits? Real curry should be much thicker. The steamed rice was wrong too, was not made in a rice cooker. What a let-down. As much as I hate to do this, I had to return the plate and leave. What a let-down because I actually thought it might have been authentic. For the typical Alabama local and other visiting Americans, they might be impressed; but if you know, you know, and this is NOT authentic. This is the reason you see such disparity in their Google review ratings. Some people think it is incredible and give 5 stars; others 2-star it. 5-star people, it’s not your fault, but you just don’t know.

Engaging, friendly, helpful staff; nice selection of vegetarian food options and nice environment. I ordered the Drunken Noodle with tofu to go and the service was quick. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked (not over or under cooked), the tofu was also perfect. I look forward to trying other items from their vegetarian menu.

88 Buffet in Huntsville offers a casual dining experience with an extensive selection of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The restaurant features all-you-can-eat sushi, noodles, hibachi grills, and American items. With a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, diners can indulge in a wide variety of dishes without the need to worry about waiting for a table due to ample seating.
What a great buffet! I am not a buffet fan, but my hubby is, so we tried this place for dinner tonight. I was pleasantly surprised.....tons of items to choose from on the buffet, including seafood, Chinese dishes, a huge salad bar, steaks, roast beef, mac and cheese, fresh rolls, soups, etc. Plus, there is a hibachi grill and a sushi bar to choose from as well. They also have a good selection of desserts, including soft serve ice cream. The servers kept our beverages filled and were great at refilling the buffet and keeping things spotlessly clean. Will definitely go back again.
Michele P — Google review
We went to 88 Buffet today instead of Big Bowl Thai next door (due to Big Bowl Thai only doing take out after 2:30?). The food was good for buffet food, although some of it looked and tasted questionable. The dessert bar was really nice for a buffet, they offer a lot of options. We didn’t try it, but they also offer a make your own hibachi! They offer lots of variety’s of meats, sides, and sushi. The sushi was eh, but it’s all you can eat. The service was okay, they kept our glasses full. But while we were still eating (my husband still was getting another plate and a dessert plate) the server came by with the check and told us to have a great day which we thought was odd. We continued to eat, and they continued to fill our glasses after that so we ignored it but now we see a couple reviews mentioning it so we thought we would as well. Overall it was a good buffet.

I enjoyed myself and the food is fresh and I would come back.
Daniella C — Google review
We were greeted and immediately sat. We went up to the buffet and as I came back they were seating someone else at our table. I questioned them and they quickly corrected their "mistake". One individual took a set of our silverware that I caught and he looked sheepish. I had them reset our table so my wife had a place to eat. The food was mediocre and they even had ribs. The ribs were so dry, they were crunchy. Some of the dishes were good such as the coconut shrimp and even the lo mein. Many of the chicken dishes were passable. The sushi wasn't memerable.
David K — Google review
They have a variety of food options, and everything I tried was fresh and delicious. They have a great seafood boil, fresh sushi, tasty pizza, creamy Mac n' Cheese, and flavorful steak. The desserts were on their own separate bar; they even had fruits and jelly available.
Nadda — Google review
This place is a very unique place. The atmosphere is so relaxing. The food is always being filled up and made. I haven't seen one thing that I didn't like in this restaurant. The food, people, service and etc. Is incredibly perfect. We drove an hour out from Tennessee to eat here. They've got a whole isle for sushi lovers, hibachi, salad, seafood, American food, and more if I forgot anything else. This place is very worth the long-distance drive for those that live an hour plus out.
Adam D — Google review
The service here is absolutely outrageous. I found a long piece of plastic in my food, when I told the server she did not care and blamed it on the kitchen staff. I don’t recommend coming at all. Doesn’t even deserve any stars.

This is a very cool place. We are from the New Orleans area, and this place felt more artsy than the French Quarter. If you are a creative person or just someone who admires creativity, check it out!

Outstanding arts and crafts location. I think there are over 200 artists studios covering the three floors. Best day to go is on a Saturday when they also have an outdoor market.
Dan M — Google review
What a fabulous, strange, and whimsical place. It's a haven for artists and creatives of all sorts, chock full of dazzling surprises around every corner. The old mill is labyrinthine and confusing, but I'd happily get lost in there all day! Definitely worth checking out!

As a Huntsville native, it really makes me happy that this former shoe mill has been transformed into a wonderful creativity mill, a haven for artists of all styles to work, display & sell their creations! It is the largest, privately owned facility of its kind in the U.S. Touring all 3 floors with 150+ studios may take all day or at least several visits. An endless supply of murals, antiquities from the original Mill & other artistic backdrops for photos/snaps can be found, even in the stairwells & bathrooms. You'll find tattoos, glass crafters, handmade jewelry, marionettes, clothing, costumes, oddities, sculpters, painters, pop culture retailers & public classes are offered on pottery, blacksmithing, piano & so much more! Fun ceiling swings hang on Floor 2 & several restaurants & benches are scattered throughout. Lowe hosts several annual pop culture conventions, concerts & movies on the dock, public art exhibits & an annual Rocky Horror Picture Show interactive in the fall. There is truly "something for everyone" here & we look forward to every single visit. Cre8tive Sistas is our favorite studio! From a real estate standpoint, there are many great opportunities to live in or near this amazing arts district!
Donna G — Google review
Incredible vendors with art literally everywhere. It reminded me of Asheville, NC arts district. The only downfalls were that A LOT of vendors were closed on a Saturday so we were disappointed and the smell of cat urine (no way it’s bats) in the stairwell was so overwhelming it made me question whether each floor was worth it.
Ashley S — Google review
This is an amazing place to take in many different artists at work. I love that they repurpose the space and that the stairwell is basically a guide to where to go. The ravenwood Meadery seemed to be the most popular place when I was there.

I only made it through part of the first floor! This place is so cool and something new to look at with every step you take. I can't wait to go back and see more of it. You can not see it all in one trip.

This is my “go to,” place when I’m in town. They have many different art studios for all kinds of art lovers. I find something new every time I visit! I stopped by today after work to grab the porky pig pizza at Veloce pizza and an iced tea from Piper & Leaf tea company but I’m certain I found a cat I need to adopt and a band I want to see live. It wasn’t for me. I came here for the first time to try my favorite Thai dishes and it didn’t taste the same. I had chicken that tasted like chicken strips with sweet and sour sauce. And the chicken laab didn’t taste good. Maybe it’s just a different style of cooking but I’ll have to pass.

The staff is beyond rude. She was yelling at me when I picked up the foods with my name on it. She said she wanted to check my foods but too busy with other customers. What is the point of waiting for 10 minutes every time to take out the foods that I already paid and it’s right there on the counter? Please have someone work the front desk to hand out take outs or just get rid of your take out service. What is the point of take out na prepaid when customers have to wait on the foods inside the restaurant?

Had a delicious bowl of noodles, with chicken. The appetizer soup was very tasty, and the food was delivered to our table in a timely manner. The dish I ordered was listed as being spicy, but it was not spicy enough. It was still very delicious, but I would like to have an option for Thai Hot, just a little bit beyond regular spicy.

"THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE" On two days in a row (Sunday, August 11, and Monday, August 12, 2024), I dined at Surin of Thailand restaurant, in Huntsville, Alabama, along with a guest. What a delicious and enjoyable lunch and dinner experience. On Sunday, I ordered the "Succulent Catfish," which I have had there before. And, my guest ordered the "Golden Trout" meal. Then, on Monday, we both reversed that: I ordered the "Golden Trout" meal, and my guest ordered that "Succulent Catfish." Both meals were extremely tasty, well-seasoned, wonderfully prepared, and beautifully presented. I loved the unique seasonings and sauces used in both of these dishes. Furthermore, the servers were very attentive. Thank you, Sebastian (our server on Monday night). And, compliments to the chef, (other) servers, management, and everyone else involved at Surin of Thailand, in Huntsville, Alabama, for our two most recent, great dining experiences. 👍 👍 G. We went for lunch and it was SO good!! We had the Thai noodle and the chicken noodle bowl and they both were great! Lee, our server, was so helpful and talking with us about the different options and the different curry tastes. I am not at all a curry fan but the sauce on the chicken noodle bowl was fabulous!

OhmyGOD another AMAZING meal at Surin tonight! We have been going to this place since it first opened years ago and it’s STILL my favorite restaurant in Huntsville. The folks there take unbelievable care of us, especially Jamie! When Jamie sees my car pull in she starts making my drink immediately and knows EXACTLY where I want to sit, depending on who’s coming with me. We have had so many nights when we have come in at opening at five and shut the place down because we were having such a great time. We’ve also had dinners where we were having difficult times and they’ve been truly compassionate and made sure that we had what we needed and took care of us with kindness while keeping their distance so that we could work through what we needed to. We have been for my birthdays more times than I can count, girls nights out, happy times, just because times and sad times because it feels like home. My friends joke that it’s just an extension of my dining room. Anyway, tonight the food was as amazing as it always is. We went with friends and got the usual suspects. The drunken fried rice is STUPID good and just the right amount of spicy for most people but I like it with more of the red pepper paste (it’s great with the dried hot peppers too but you have to be careful with that stuff and sometimes I tend to go overboard 🤣). The sweet and sour chicken was SO GOOD! Moist, perfectly fried and absolutely scrumptious. The cashew beef was crunchy perfection but I forgot to take a pic of the bbq chicken! The BBQ chicken is the one dish that I*always* recommend to people who don’t know what to get or are picky eaters. How they keep that chicken so moist but fall off the bone tender is a complete mystery to me. The sauce is always a bit sweet for me but I add some of the hot pepper paste and then it is perfect for me. And yes, we ordered too much but split it all and had leftovers too, although not the bbq chicken - it was too good! As always Jamie was a complete gem! She came back, checked on us, chatted for a second or two when she had time and made my buddy a delightful cosmo. God I love it here it feels like home 💕. Ask for Jamie, she’s an absolute LOVE!

Best Thai in Huntsville AL! Local gem that has been here for many years! Doesn't get anymore authentic than this! Flavors are fresh and spicy! So here’s the deal. I’m from New Jersey where we have the best Thai and Asian food in the country. For me this dish was not good, the noodles were almost spaghetti like and the sauce wasn’t hitting it for me. For those around here, this place is probably a good visit. For me, I don’t think I would come back personally. That said the staff were very kind and welcoming and the atmosphere was very nice. So take my review under advisement and make your own decision.

I love Thai Garden, and have been coming here since I was a kid. Fantastic food. cashew nut chicken (made with peanuts at lunch time) is my favorite. Enjoyed it today with some egg rolls. Quick service, fresh food, nice people. My server today, Suri, was so sweet and bubbly. I had a great visit today.

Food was great - smaller portions for the price. Beautiful decor. However, we barely saw our server. They took our order, dropped our food off, and after waiting with empty dishes for 10 minutes without even asking if we were done they set our check down. I wanted to order a drink and order chili oil for our dish since it isn’t on the table - but we were never spoken to until well after our meal was done. Our two servers were sitting underneath a tv all night at a table.

After a 20 hour fast I remembered what great food this place used to have. $65 dollars, disappointment and a poor meal that made me lose a sensational appetite. White bread plain cut in triangles with blan chicken satay , lays potato chips on top of a scary house salad drowned in peanut sauce, and a triple meat Thai pad with no signs of meat. The people are nice but the food not so much.
Romelle H — Google review
I ordered the pad thai at lunchtime. There was a lot left to be desired. I spent 2 hrs hiking, and it was 90 degrees on an empty stomach, so I was hungry. The noodles were overcooked and they didn't even salt the water that the noodles were prepared in. The chicken was okay, but there were no bean sprouts, I found 2 onions, and there were no eggs. I got overcooked sweet noodles. I took it home, and my daughter said this has a lot of room for improvement. It is a cute little restaurant and the prices are fair. Maybe they had a bad day. It was my 1st time eating there. They were friendly. I would return and try another dish maybe its not their best dish .
Paula — Google review
The service was great, food came out fast and hot, and my drinks were always filled. The atmosphere was clean and not crowded. However, the food was blah, and my Pad Thai didn't have much flavor. I have had great Pad Thai, and this was just blah. The spring rolls, however, were delicious, but the sprimp in the blanket was AWFUL 😖. I think the shrimp was bad. It smelled and tasted nasty, I was honestly surprised I didn't get sick from the one bite I took. It was not a terrible place, but there are better Thai restaurants in the Huntsville area.
Nicole H — Google review
I would not recommend Thai Garden to my worst enemy, well, maybe my worst enemy, but not a regular one. The two stars I gave it were for the sweet waitress we had not the food! We ordered Spring Rolls to start, half pork and have vegetable. They were simply okay, not great! My husband ordered the lunch ribs. They gave him a rib and a half of fat. Again they were not great. I ordered the Pad Voon Sen with brown rice. It tasted okay, not bad, not great. The rice on the other hand was MILDEWY!!!!! I sent it back for a salad. My daughter ordered the Pad Thai. It was off in the taste. Another person came over to check on us (it wasn't our waitress), my daughter told her about the food and this person proceeded to argue her down and tell her it was a 30 year old recipe. The recipe may be 30 years old, but it tasted like it had been sitting for days. So she told them she wanted to trade it for what I had. The lady (again, not our waitress) got highly irritated and rude. She came slamming food back on the table and didn't say a word to us! When they brought the bill, both of my daughters meals were on the table. The not waitress had not told our waitress to take it off and were trying to chafe for something that was incredible! Our waitress took care of it and we tipped her nicely. We will not be back. Save your money, time, and frustration by going somewhere else.

They do a lot of carry out orders and seem to have few staff so if you dine it your wait time may be a little longer than expected but still was under 10 minutes. Food is very good. Egg drop soup was good and nice and hot. All our meals were very tasty. Had the general tso chicken, pineapple chicken, and sweet and sour chicken.

I would consider this as the bottom shelf sushi restaurant of north Alabama. Very dry and bland. The ginger salad is good, but everything else we tried was terrible. I bought 3 lunch specials and a dragon roll. Which not one person at more than 3-4 pieces. The rest ended up in the garbage. Also, the Miso soup was absolutely trash.
Kevin H — Google review
The service was terrible! I inquired about the Chicken with Broccoli before placing my order and received an answer that made me want to try the dish. However, when it arrived, it was not visually appealing to me, so I asked if I could exchange it for something else. The manager replied, “No refunds or exchanges. You should know what you want to order.” Letting a customer swap out a dish they don’t like is a key aspect of good customer service because it shows that the establishment values customer satisfaction and is willing to accommodate individual preferences. It can help build a positive relationship with customers, encouraging them to return and recommend the place to others. Additionally, it demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to listen to feedback, which can enhance the overall dining experience.

From the outside you may think twice but be sure to walk in! The inside is well kept. It could definitely use a face lift but it is clean and has great service and good food. Real Chinese is hard to find around Huntsville but this is close. Everything is made in house by authentic Chinese. The family highly enjoyed the food. We never had an empty glass. The food arrived in a very timely manner and hot. We all shared 3 different plates and some steamed and fried pot stickers. They have military discount and even without it the prices are pretty good.
Rachael R — Google review
Very tasty noodles, coconut chicken, and sushi at a great price. The inside was homey and the service was fantastic. The food came out hot and fresh and the seasoning was good. The portions are not small. A nice restaurant for a good meal.

Wonderful food and friendly service! A great place for everyone. My sushi lover had a wide range of choices and my other kid loved the kids chicken. We got sushi and hibachi and teriyaki and it was all amazing. Portions were generous and the price for the lunch special is great!

The food comes out quick, but tastes fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is cozy, with various regional decor, adding to the overall experience. The staff are friendly and personable. The prices are also very fair and the portions are large.

Thai restaurant
Big Bowl Thai Cuisine is a relaxed establishment that offers traditional Thai dishes in a charming atmosphere adorned with rich wooden interior details. Their menu boasts a variety of delectable options, including the ever-popular Pad Thai, which features thin rice noodles combined with a tangy tamarind sauce. The restaurant operates from Monday to Thursday between 11AM and 2:40PM, as well as from 4PM to 8:45PM on Fridays.
The restaurant was very clean and the waitress was very prompt with our menus and drinks and allow us time to relax and look over the menu. The food was amazing. We first had the crab ragoon and then for our main dishes, we had the chicken fried rice and fried lemon chicken. The food was delicious and we will definitely be visiting again.

So, I didn’t know what to expect. Im from Fort Walton Beach, FL and there is literally a Thai restaurant on every corner. So I’m used to the flavors. This place exceeded my expectations on the Thai chicken fried rice. It wasn’t soggy it was cooked perfectly. The portion size was the perfect amount for lunch. I will be returning! Later foodies

Very peaceful lunch. Beautiful and clean restaurant. Phenomenal service- attention to detail and fast! I ordered the chicken teriyaki box from the lunch menu. It was $17. I just expected more, especially from the food quality. Everything tasted off. If I came back I would try a noodle dish. But the food quality was off. Sushi tasted cheap and extra fishy, rice tasted like it had been sitting out, chicken was chewy and salad tasted like old lettuce. But I did enjoy the coconut soup! And I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and waiters. So kind.
Natalie B — Google review
Big Bowl Thai was excellent! We ordered the Sumai appetizer, and it was delicious. We both ordered Pad Thai for our entree, no surprise there, but it was also fantastic. I called in our order, and it was ready within 15 minutes. The service was excellent, and I’d recommend it to anyone.
Michael D — Google review
Yummy!! The food and portions are great. The restaurant is located in a small mall with other food options, so far I like this one best. I odered the Big Bowl Drunken Noodles, they are supposed to be spicy, i would say that the spices used is not that strong. The banana egg roll was a really tasty treat. The food was liked by all of our family, this is a must revisit.
Ron K — Google review
This was our first time eating at Big Bowl Thai Cuisine and we were pleasantly surprised! Both the food and service were both great! The lunch menu includes the house coconut soup and salad. The lunch box was nice because it came with your choice of protein, California roll and rice. The Pad Thai Chicken was also good. Highly recommend trying the Thai iced tea! Conveniently located off University Drive near MidCity, there’s plenty of parking in the lot outside. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. It also appears that they do a lot of take out orders which they seem to be very efficient at. The service was both friendly and fast. I was impressed how fast our food came out after we ordered. We will definitely be back!

One of my favorite lunch spots. Good food and affordable. Love the green curry chicken, drunken noodle, and coconut chicken noodle soup. Lunches come with coconut soup, a small salad, two small spring rolls, and the entree. They also have bento boxes.

Korean restaurant
Restaurant
If you're on the hunt for authentic Korean cuisine, "I Love Korea" is a hidden gem that should be on your radar. This cozy eatery serves up a delightful array of traditional dishes that feel like home-cooked meals, from hearty stews to sizzling BBQ options. A must-try here is their Kimchi Pancake—crispy and savory, it's simply irresistible!
My husband and I decided to try this restaurant again because we were craving Korean on a Sunday. When we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised because they had updated the tables and chairs and decor, everything looked great. I ordered spicy squid with kimchee cucumbers and fish cakes. My husband ordered bulgogi with kimchee cucumbers and bean sprouts. The food was delicious and the portions were perfect. Our server was great as well. I’m glad we tried this restaurant again because it will be our go to.
Linda C — Google review
Delicious authentic Korean dishes for a decent price. We started off with the dumplings appetizer which was amazing. I had the japchae bap which came with two sides, miso soup and a bowl of white rice. The portion sizes are super filling! We came on a Sunday night and it wasn’t crowded at all. Walked in and were seated immediately. Food came out pretty quickly. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting authentic Korean food in Huntsville.
Aliza B — Google review
My pork bulgogi bibimbap was soooo good 🤤 It wasn’t spicy at all, though, so I’ll prob do the spicy pork next time. I can’t handle much heat and my mom can’t handle any, but I know she could eat this just fine. Always a concern when you introduce someone to a new cuisine! The egg was a little overdone on the bottom, but I think that’s how it’s supposed to be. The pork was perfectly crisp and the rice had a nice crunch from the stone bowl. I would def recommended spending the extra dollar on the hot stone! I wish they had fun, non-alcoholic drinks, like Korean iced tea or boba. The place is a lot cleaner than it used to be and they easily served a large number of customers while I was there, including my group in the party room. I have no idea if this is authentic Korean food, but it was an enormous amount of delicious pork, rice, and pickled vegetables for a very reasonable price in a nice environment with competent waitstaff. That’s saying a lot these days!
Christen A — Google review
We stopped in for dinner while passing through. An acquaintance recommended it. One waitress doing the entire floor , not effectively. Appetizers ordered never came. My husband had beef bulgogi it was bland and VERY dry?, I had spicy chicken, it was a much better entrée than his . The kimchi sides were good. Definitely not a $50 + meal.
Kim B — Google review
The Bulgogi had way too much sugar. All you could taste was sugar. The noodles were cold and did not have much flavor. The dumpling soup was loaded with cabbage. If you like cabbage, great. For us, it was overwhelming. The seafood pancake was ok. Overall, we are not sure we Love Korea.
Kevin S — Google review
This Korean restaurant is great. The tofu soup is my go to since it’s comforting and delicious. The sides are always good as well. Most entree’s come with two free sides. The price is affordable. Come check it out.

Located in Mobile, Alabama, Rock N Roll Sushi specializes in rolls inspired by classic rock. Some of their most unique rolls include the Punk Rock Roll - shrimp tempura, spicy tuna and cream cheese inside with seared tuna outside, and the Classic California Roll - avocado, crabmeat and cucumber inside a nori wrapper. They also have a great selection of nigiri sushi as well as other Japanese entrees.
Rock N Roll Sushi was an incredible dining experience! My chicken and shrimp hibachi was absolutely delicious, and my fiancé couldn’t stop raving about how amazing his sushi was! The atmosphere was fun and energetic, and the wait staff was so kind and hardworking. They made sure we had everything we needed and were super attentive throughout our meal. We’ll definitely be back for more great food and vibes! Highly recommend!

We LOVED the Sushi and the Japanese fried chicken. Flavorful, crunchy and delicious. They did his rice perfectly and removed the veggies for him. I don’t really love their ginger salad but it’s not bad it’s just different. He’s had really good hibachi steak at Rock and Roll before but I tried it and I wasn’t impressed this time- it honestly seemed it had been frozen because of the texture. But the steak has been fresher before. I got the sweet home Alabama roll and it was great. I could taste the salmon and the avocado! 😍🥰👍🏻

Its good, with good prices. I really liked the veggies and the yum yum sauce. Only complaint is a little too much soy sauce was added. The last few bites of my meal were extremely salty. The menu is well labeled.

We came here for dinner and ordered the T.N.T. Shrimp appetizer, along with a fried VIP roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll. All of the above were delicious, and immediately scarfed down. The T.N.T. Shrimp come with 6, I forgot to take a pic at first so there’s two missing :) We had very nice and amazing servers, our server was training another server and they were very sweet and timely with water refills.

I love coming here on Tuesdays! It's buy one get one free for the sushi rolls! I'm working on trying every single roll! My eyes were bigger than my stomach. I had ordered an extra 2 rolls half way through my first 2 rolls🤣🤣. I ended up asking for the other two to be take out. All were delicious and fresh!
RaeSharon A — Google review
I ordered a shrimp tempura roll with no avocado, but when I got back to work and opened it, it was full of avocado. I immediately called the restaurant to let them know, and instead of being apologetic or helpful, I was met with silence and then told they could only remake it “today.” I had already explained that I was back at work and couldn’t return. The staff came across as rude and very dismissive of the situation. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled showed a lack of customer care and accountability. Very disappointing experience.

I haven't been to this location on Clinton Street in a good while because the restaurant needs renovations. There is a floor piece missing right by the front door. All the booths seats are cracked badly with several tears. All of this of course isn't any of the staffs fault, but I have worked at places were owners do not what to pay to fix things & so a lot relies heavly on the staffs' serve skills & quality of the food to keep things running. Luckily this location had a wonderful server filling in from another location. I believe her name was Ellen. She was friendly, attentive, & had the skills every restaurant around here needs to be successful. She asked how the food was, and it was great! I just hope this location can get renovations soon for the staff's sake & to have a better atmosphere.

Restaurant
Betty Maes is a lively, family-owned eatery that serves up delectable soul food and Southern cuisine in a casual setting. Originally gaining popularity at local farmers markets, the owners of Earth & Stone Wood Fired Pizza decided to establish their own restaurant. At Betty Maes, patrons can indulge in generous portions of classic Southern dishes such as meatloaf, fried chicken, and pot roast along with an array of sides and signature desserts like Honeybun cake and sweet potato pie.
Looking for some good soul food and this was definitely the place. Food seasoned exceptionally well. Super busy when they opened at 11:00a on Sunday morning. They were out a bunch of stuff but what we got was really good! I highly recommend you check them out!
Marcia G — Google review
I visited twice before writing this review. I also previously frequented both G's and Sac's Kitchen. I will say this place is the best of the three!!! What I loved... the catfish it is the best ever the outside is crispy the inside is soft and tender) absolute perfection, yams are just right, couple it with the cabbage and the cornbread. Then finish it off with red velvet cake or peach cobbler you can not go wrong. Pardon my pictures, I went on two different days. The first time I went, I had catfish, yams, and greens. I was really hungry by the time I made it home, and I started eating before I took the pics. So that is not how your food comes for the fish plate. What I liked was the chicken and dressing (it was a little salty but still edible). I had dressing at other places, and it just was not right. The flavor profile here is the closest I have found to my homemade dressing. The chicken was tender falling off the bone, and it was good. The greens were okay, but I prefer the cabbage. The things I tried but will not order again...the menu says banana pudding but I noticed the young lady wrote down cookies...so I am guessing it should be cookies with banana pudding drizzle or something but it was not banana pudding. I like baked mac n cheese, so this type is not my jam. Overall, this is my go-to Soul Food place. The food is good, the people are nice, did I mention the food is good? The icing on the cake is for the price you pay for your meal, it also includes a drink and dessert. You have to come check out Bettie Maes!!!

If you want to eat food like your grandma used to make, this is the spot.. I can't praise the chicken and collards highly enough. The yams were a little sweet for my personal preference, but don't you dare think I didn't eat all of them... I'm looking forward to getting back in there for lunch next time I'm on that side of town. These folks know what's up in a kitchen.

This was my first visit to Betty Mae’s and it was a pleasant experience! The restaurant was clean, the customer service was good and the wait wasn’t long at all! You definitely have to come early if you want certain items though. They were out of pound cake and meatloaf. The chicken was fried and seasoned to perfection and the banana pudding and sweet potato pie were delicious! The only complaint that I have is that my black eyed peas were a bit salty and cold. I’d definitely dine here again!

Oh my goodness this is soul food at its finest!!! I’m so glad we googled and found this spot on our travel north! The fried chicken is literally the best I’ve had! The collard greens were amazing as was the Mac and cheese, green beans, Cole slaw and potato salad! The cornbread was on point and the lemonade was fire! The ice tea was amazing and then we had dessert! The honeybun cake is nothing less than a home run as was the banana pudding! My lawd have mercy this place is beyond good!!!😊 🤤

The Holy Grail of southern food!! I can’t even begin to describe how good it is. I need more than 5 stars to rate it. I’ve been searching for this food for decades since I had to leave my southern home. I’ve traveled all over the south on vacations searching for the food I remember from my childhood and have never found anything as good as what I had growing up in Mississippi-UNTIL NOW!! And believe me, I have eaten at A LOT of southern restaurants. The fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had in my life. And I grew up mostly in Mississippi so that’s saying a lot! The turnip greens would make my southern grandmother jealous! Believe me, you won’t be disappointed in anything here!!

I traveled from Guntersville to find out they were closing for the day. The owner actually opened the business back up for me to place my order!! That has NEVER happened and I'm so appreciative for their hospitality! That's how you run a business!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH AND THE FOOD WAS AWESOME!!

I wish i could give this place 100 stars. Very unassuming location but let me tell you.. outstanding in every possible way. Delicious food, amazing value, great people, and welcoming atmosphere. This is a gem just like the people who visit this location i got greeted even by the customers. Theyve streamlined the service and everyone behind the counter is amazing. I had the fried chicken- crispy yet juicy and tender and the portions are not for the weak. The mac was amazing the candied yams will be callin me in my dreams! The greens were tender but not mushy still had a bite and flavorful to the max! Get the corn bread and please do your taste buds a favor and go with the red velvet! (The sweet potato pie was recommended by a young lady behind the counter and i got it on my first visit she was right it was amazing as well) theres a special mix for the drinks that was out of this world so was the sweet tea . I will come back to this place everytime im in town.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Huntsville, Oshi Poke Bowl and Sushi is a contemporary dining gem that beautifully blends Japanese and Hawaiian culinary traditions. As you enter, you're enveloped in a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly makes you feel at ease. The menu boasts an impressive selection of sushi rolls, poke bowls, and other delightful dishes crafted with the freshest ingredients. Oshi takes pride in maintaining high quality without compromising on convenience.
Asian Chipotle Poke bowl was delicious: fish was fresh, greens were crisp, and the sauce was just spicy enough but not overpowering. The sushi rolls were also excellent, but the presentation is even more impressive. Such beautiful plating! Self-serve beverages are available, as well as free ice water from glass dispensers and real glasses, which is a nice touch vs. disposable cups. Prices might be a bit on the high side, but the ingredient seems to be of high quality. Ordering at the counter means less table-side service, but your food is still brought out to the table after ordering.

Mango roll and King Kong Sushi rolls did not disappoint-fresh and tasty. We will return.

From the cozy exterior to the food to the customer service from start to finish I would come back again and again. Everyone was friendly and attentive, the owner was attentive and she gave us a personal touch to our visit. Service was very fast even when it was jam packed when we arrived and ate. We ended up getting a mix of everything, Thai garlic with spring rolls, multiple sushi and sashimi, dumpling ramen, and a poke bowl with beef, last but not least, sexy jalapeño! Oshi is a really nice option to consider if you are looking for sushi, poke, or ramen in downtown Huntsville. Inside is a small bar serving beer and a few selections of sake bottles. They also offer pours of hot or chilled house sake. The ramen is generous portions. It's not particularly fancy or photogenic but it's hot and savory just like it should be. There is a nice variety of sushi options and we found our rolls to be well made and creative. The poke was a little light on meat and the build your own could probably use a few more options but overall very happy. The best part here was the excellent service. Everyone was very friendly, helpful in ordering and our food came out super fast and delivered directly to our table. We did bring several kids and they found nice options to eat and the booths were comfortable and good for the kids.

Quality is exactly the same every time— amazing. I have eaten here over 30 times at this point and I love the wide variety of options. From sashimi to hibachi everything has always been great. I think the only thing I can say negatively about this restaurant is the water tastes weird. Los Mariachis is a hidden gem nestled in Huntsville, Alabama, that has recently undergone a transformation for the better. This charming neighborhood Mexican restaurant offers delicious food at lower prices than before, making it an attractive dining option. The inviting atmosphere has been enhanced with fresh decor, creating a cozy space to enjoy your meal. Guests rave about the attentive service and friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience.
This restaurant has changed hands many times and over the last couple years, I was very disappointed in the food and the prices. Well, it's in good hands now. The prices are LOWER. The food is very good, the service is nice, and they have redecorated the inside. It is a fine small neighborhood Mexican restaurants that you can hardly see, but it is across Whitesburg from Burger King so they are very convenient to downtown. Give them a try. I know I will be back soon!

Absolutely love this restaurant!! I'm allergic to capsaicin & this has been the first Mexican Restaurant I have been able to eat the food without any allergic reactions & it was the best meal I have ever had!!!! Would give 10⭐️ if I could!! The waiter was so kind & understanding checked to make sure I could eat it safely & wad so sweet! He gets 100⭐️ review from me as he made sure we had everything we needed & that I was able to enjoy Mexican food for the first time!!🩵

Never had a Mexican buffet before (small but good) is a nice place to eat. Me and co workers had lunch here. Definitely would visit again if in the area. Thank you

My bona fides are that I am old and disabled. Monday, August 25, 2025, the owner had parked his white van in the single handicap spot at the restaurant with no placard or valid sticker. I spoke with him telling him it was a violation of the law. He was dismissive, then rude, and then argumentative while his staff simultaneously tried to explain that he could park there as long as there were other parking spots available. I tried to explain he must never park there without a valid handicap license. I have eaten there almost once a week since 2004 and will never return.

This Mexican restaurant has the best salsa, in my opinion. It's not spicy, but very flavorful! Also, their Hawaiian Papas Fries were great!

Enjoyed this place until I left tip on the table & I guess that wasn't enough for them so they took extra off my debit card for more tip. Called & was told I could bring my receipt. I threw my receipt away because I didn't know I was going to be ripped off & I don't live close by.

Passing through and found this place on Google Maps search, glad we stopped there. The food (shrimp chili relleno and chicken fajitas)was great and more than enough for the price. Already told family and friends to stop in and we will be returning on our travels through the area. Enjoyed!

Sushi restaurant
Fuji Japanese Cuisine & Sushi Bar in Huntsville, AL is renowned for serving the finest sushi in the area. The owner takes immense pride in using high-quality ingredients and creating delectable combinations that are hard to find elsewhere. The restaurant also offers exceptional kitchen entrees. Despite having a small staff, the wait for food can be long as everything is made in the order it is received. Nevertheless, the wait is well worth it!
I love this restaurant. Always top notch food and service. My favorite is their Yummy Yummy Roll. But no matter what I've got from here it's always top notch ingredients and quality. If your looking for good sushi in the area this is the place to go!
LeighAnn B — Google review
Bottom line up front: this is a higher priced 3 star restaurant with great ambiance and soso food. My family tried this restaurant on Sunday. The plaza where the restaurant is located is usually packed; when we walked in we were the only ones here (which is kind of telling on a Sunday during post-church rush). The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a good ambiance - it is definitely a nice quiet place to go eat lunch where you can talk or bring a date. Wife ordered two different choices of sushi lunch special and I got the pork katsu. The kids meals (that aren't chicken and fries) are pretty steep ($8-11), so this turned into a more pricey than usual $70+ meal. Miso soup was fine, I thought the pork katsu was a little dry. Wife was distinctly not a fan of the sushi - "the salmon was flavorless and tasted like nothing". Service was good. Waitress was prompt and accurate. Probably will not be a regular restaurant for us at the cost/quality level.

Came here with the family the other night for dinner. While I wasn't expecting a Michelin-star experience, I certainly wasn't expecting what we got. The service was friendly, but the food and overall experience left much to be desired. One of our group ordered unsweetened tea (a cardinal sin in the South, bless their heart) and was brought sweetened tea twice before finally getting the correct drink. When dinner arrived for our party of seven, one order was missing. We had to ask the staff about it and were told there was a kitchen mix-up and the order was being remade. By the time our last member got their food, the rest of us were practically done eating. The food itself was just alright, but the portions were small. The steak and salmon combo platter had seven tiny pieces of steak and a salmon piece that barely weighed an ounce. The fried rice tasted dry, and while the veggies were okay, they didn't stand out. The salmon skin roll, though not typical in appearance, was good, and the gyoza was decent. I feel that if I had only ordered sushi, my experience might have been different, but it's hard to say. Overall, I wasn't impressed.

The place is in a plaza and has good parking space available. The miso soup has rich flavor. The soft crab was mostly hard breading. The salmon was good. The atmosphere of the place was ok.
Ej C — Google review
Great service, but I was not a fan of the food at all. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of mine, but I had the teriyaki chicken. The chicken was rubbery and overall did not have a good taste. My husband had the sushi/sashimi combo and hardly ate any of it. The fish and the sushi roll was cut so thick and was served lukewarm. It took about 10 minutes longer to get his food after mine was brought out. Overall we were not impressed and would not recommend.

Fuji has wonderful food and the drinks were so good! I had the chicken teriyaki and I got a vegetable tempura appetizer and it was so good! Can't wait to go back!

Food was excellent but expensive. The American waitress kept bowing a lot. It looked funny and out of place since she is American but she was so cute and friendly.

When you find yourself in Rocket City, make sure to stop by Hops N Guac, a vibrant Tex-Mex eatery nestled within Campus 805. This fast-casual restaurant is a delightful fusion of authentic Mexican flavors and modern street food twists. With an inviting atmosphere, it’s not just about the mouthwatering tacos and refreshing craft beers; guests can also enjoy unique features like a self-serve beer wall and even a snooker court for some added fun.
This place is awesome. Food is great, and the wall of beer with unlimited pours is super cool. Just watch out because that bill comes at the end and it will shock you if you drink beer like I do. The setting in a former high school is really neat, and seeing the stairs and lockers certainly jogs your memories. Can't wait to come back here and see more of what they have to offer.

BEST PLACE EVER to get Mexican in the Northern Alabama area! The portions are huge, the service is fantastic, fast and friendly and the place is always clean. The BEST part is how the chips and taco shells are so crispy and light, never wet or soggy taco shells… serious crunch ! The food is AMAZING!!! Too many favorites on the menu to choose from! Wish they had another in Athens/Madison area but it’s worth the drive and price!

Being our 1st time here, i didn't think they were open. We entered at 5:15pm on a Monday evening, the place was empty. There was a young lady behind a counter on her phone, she gave us a glance and looked back down to her phone. We walked up to the bar area, sat on a stool and looked around. Waited a couple minutes and nobody greeted us, nor bothered to even acknowledge us. The gal got done with her phone then walked over with a couple menus. We told her there would be 4 more coming shortly, if we could wait for them. She turned stood and walked away. She never asked if we wanted to order drinks, unbeknownst to us you had to go get a wrist band for beers (We didn't know that at the time, she could've explained that and sold a couple pints of beer in that time we waited). Or group arrived for dinner, she sat us at a table handed out menus and left. Back to her area and on her phone. We sat and waited, once again didn't know the process as she never explained. She on her phone, we're all thirsty and ready to order, she's on her phone. We then watch another couple come in that had obviously been here before, go up and order at the counter. So that's what we did, if we had only been told that 10 minutes earlier. We ordered food and then figured out the beer bracelet without much help from the employee. She did bring our food, it was fine, nothing great. Never once did she come ask how everything was because, guess what, she was on her phone. Zero effort on her part to welcome anyone sell product or check on things to make sure the guests are enjoying themselves. If I was a supervisor or owner, they're would be a long discussion with her about being there to work and not be on her phone. There was income lost to this business because she made no effort to promote their business and products.

Good beer selection and a small bar to go with the great artisan Mexican food. They have the basics on the menu, but not an exhaustive selection. If you are looking for tacos, burritos or a bowl, you won't be disappointed. The Santafe shrimp tacos are my favorite. They also have fried avocado slice

I went on Monday night, and the young lady at the front was so helpful and welcoming! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly fast. Everything came out fresh and fast. I was really impressed. Definitely recommend this spot if you want great food and fast service.

Decent, if somewhat expensive food. The real reason to come hear is the ability to sample the beer and cider and pay for what you pour. They have quite a selection of beer and cider on tap and you can purchase as little or as much as you want and get charged by the ounce.

It was our first time dining here. Service was terrible, cashier wasn’t friendly, food had no flavor, the guacamole tasted like sour cream and onion dip, and the place was so loud.

Restaurant
Jamo's Cafe is a delightful fast-food-style eatery that specializes in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, making it an ideal stop for anyone craving delicious gyros or succulent lamb kebabs. With a charming patio for outdoor dining, this cafe offers a variety of mouthwatering options like pita wraps and baklava, complemented by refreshing sweet mint tea.
The food was great and arrived without much of a wait. Seemed like it was made fresh too which is always a plus! The girl who took our order was very helpful when we asked questions about the seasoning. Would definitely recommend. Has both indoor and outdoor seating as well.
Sophia W — Google review
Small cafe with indoor and porch seating. Lots of plants to greet you. They operate out of a tiny kitchen for the hot foodd and a large section for drinks. Order at the corner and they'll bring it to your table. Cashier was friendly. Looking at my receipt later (not itemized), I'm wondering how an $11.49 gyro plate, a $4.29 spanakopita, and no drink added up to be $19.60 (unless it's 24% taxes here). It comes in styrofoam plates and plastic ware regardless if you're dining in or taking out. Spanakopita was fried, not baked like it says in the menu. It was very greasy. Tasty while it's at mouth burning temperatures but quickly became soggy as it cooled. Like it was baked, then frozen, then fried? That's just a guess on my part. The Gyro plate was an appropriate lunch portion. The pita was thin and stale. One side of it was warm but it quickly became inedible (like hard leather) as it cooled. The tzatsiki was very nice: creamy without being runny, good cucumber flavor (I'd buy a container of that to go if I could). The rice was good. The gyro meat was not. I'm still not sure how it became the texture that it did. It seemed like it was sliced off after being on the rotisserie for A While and then maybe left in a warming bin?. One side was very dark and the edges are hard and crispy. The salad was nicely assembled although I'm not sure why I would get a whole slice of the green pepper, onion, and tomato when everything else is already chopped. The slice of pineapple was sweet and a good finishing bite. My experience was just meh~ It could be so much better if it was just... fresher. I may come back, but probably not for a while. I'm hoping if I give them time to improve the next visit will be better.

This is proof you don't judge a restaurant by its cover... The food is fantastic and prices are modest compared to other places. But ahead of that the sweet guy that (on his own) served my mother and me this morning along with construction workers and businessmen proved that this is a local restaurant with delicious gyros and burgers as well as a place for anyone to eat in comfort.

Ordered chicken kabob. Great taste and I could not believe that under $12 I got pita, rice, chicken kabob, hummus, salad and some fruit. Place Looks not so glamorous from outside or in but absolutely I was pleased with the the food, packaging. My dinner box had cutlery in it as well so I got everything that I needed. I highly recommend this place.

I was in Huntsville for the day and decided to try our Jamo's Cafe, and it is fair to say that if I find myself in Huntsville again I will for sure be returning! T7man — Google review
I met my boyfriend at Jamo's for lunch on Saturday after a morning class at UAH. There are a lot of solid places to eat on Jordan Lane, but if you're looking for a quick, relatively inexpensive place for a fresh bite to eat, Jamo's is not a bad bet! Since it's a cafe, they have several coffee and smoothie and juice options. Regrettably, I didn't try any of those, but they looked and smelled good! Instead, I had the chicken kabob plate, and my boyfriend had the gyro plate. Jamo's was sadly empty when we arrived around 12:15. A man and someone who looked like his daughter jumped up to help us. She took our orders while he immediately went to the kitchen to start cooking our food for us. No doubt, the meals are fresh! My chicken was still sizzling hot when it was served to me. The kabob has chicken, bell pepper, and onion. It's served on a bed of rice with hummus, a small salad, pita wedges, and a piece of pineapple and I think an orange slice -- I wasn't hungry enough to eat it all so I might be wrong about that. At any rate, the season was well seasoned, tender, and cooked perfectly. The rice was rather bland. I thought the hummus was really smooth and tasty. For me, the pita was a little on the too chewy and tough side, but it still tasted pretty good with the hummus. My boyfriend enjoyed his gyro meat, saying the strips had enjoyable crispy edges with tender centers. He got tzatziki sauce instead of hummus, which went well with the gyro strips and pita, sort of a build your own gyro if you were so inclined. His plate was identical to mine except he got gyro meat strips instead of chicken on a kabob, and tzatziki instead of hummus. While I'm not totally sure I'd absolutely go out of my way to revisit Jamo's, I'd still happily return if I wanted something Mediterranean-ish while in the area. I'd definitely like to try some of their smoothies, as those looked really fresh and yummy.

The Salt & Pepper Calamari and Hot & Sour soup are highly recommended dishes that are frequently ordered by customers. It has been noted that many patrons prefer to order takeout rather than dine in at the establishment. The service provided is efficient and quick, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Amazing all together wonderful service. I'm greeted by a smiling face. The egg drop soup is delicious. Sesame seed chicken is amazing 😍 definitely my new favorite place..

I was very pleased trying this restaurant for the first time. It’s more of a fast food type Chinese food place, but the food was delicious. Everything was prepared as To-Go. The hot and sour soup was good and flavorful and the portions on the entrees were a good size. Mine came with a bunch of different veggies which was nice. Since it’s a fast food type feel it’s not overly priced which was nice. I’ll definitely be back.

There are several good Asian/Chinese restaurants in the area but this one surprised me the most. I enjoyed the Spicy fried rice with chicken and shrimp and added broccoli, with a side of sweet sesame sauce. And it wouldn't be Chinese without an egg roll. It was DELICIOUS and HUGE portions for the $$. Like 4 meals worth! The spicy fried rice wasn't super spicy but had flavorful heat! I added just a little sweet sesame sauce every once in a while for a sweet heat bite and it just enhanced the flavor even more! The egg roll is on point and came with sweet chili sauce. If it's frozen, they hide it well. Overall, very happy with everything. My go to for good Chinese dishes from now on!

Lobby was clean, cashier was incredibly nice and the food was piping hot and high quality! Sesame chicken was a 10/10. My stomach has been victimized by panda express too many times, and some of my local places aren’t the best. I am one happy customer and always make it a point to go here when I am in the area and have some spare money.

Place is in need of major maintenance. Holes in the walls, the menus boards flop around. Thought since we had to wait 30 min for the food it was going to be good. I ordered orange something. Forgot if I ordered chicken or beef. Guess it didn’t matter because I couldn’t tell when I got it. Best park was fortune cookie. Wontons were bad. Meal was awful. Definitely will not be back. If this is rated over 4.5 stars either there are fake reviews or people around here don’t know how Asian food is supposed to taste. Save your hard earned money and go to McDonald’s instead. Wow
Paul C — Google review
I was really amazed. The food was very fragrant, smelled and tasted delicious. The service was very good. The brown rice was really good. It's so hard to find an asian restaurant that serves brown rice. So I definitely will become a repeat customer. Also the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Overall really great experience.

I ordered combination lo mein and the wings both were hot and fresh.. thank you for the awesome food and service Fire Wok I will be back!!

A coworker and I were on this side of town and decided to grab something quick to eat. I had never been to Fire Wok Asian Bistro before, but he said let's try it. We were still in time for the Lunch Menu which had a lot of options available. I had the brown rice, Mongolian beef and the hot and sour soup. The server was the same person who took our order and she was prompt to bring our soups to the table. My soup was ok but not the best I've had and definitely not the worst. The meal was brought out after our soups were completed so timing was perfect. I loved the taste of the Mongolian beef. There was a good amount of sauce in the bowl to mix with the rice. By the end of the meal I was full and was satisfied with the meal that cost around $8.00! If I'm down on that side of town again, I'll definitely make another stop in!

The founder of Zoes Kitchen, John Cassimus, ventured into Eastern cuisine with this establishment. Their menu features unique rolls like the Tidesalmon which combines salmon, crab, avocado, cream cheese, and jalapeno cooked in light tempura and topped with eel sauce.

Solid stop. Not the best, not the worst — but good portions, fresh ingredients, and definitely hit the spot. I had a rice bowl with grilled chicken and spicy mayo, and it was more than enough for one meal (could’ve stretched it into two if I wasn’t traveling). Quick service, relatively healthy, and a good option when you need something fast but decent. Would stop in again.

I will say the manager went out of his way to explain the dishes. Wife loved her dish, mine was not what I was expecting. Was a little overcook for my liking; but would the restaurant another chance with a different dish.

Been coming to Maki Fresh since when they opened -- it's one of our favorite Asian-fusion carryout spots. Skip the burgers and stuff; you're here for one reason only: crispy brussels bowl. Those brussels are so delightfully fried, the rice is soft and fluffy, tender chicken, and sweet, teriyaki-ish sauce. Grab one of our favorite appetizers too: fried green beans or sweet potato tempura. Ask for an additional spicy maki sauce; the stuff is addictive. Enjoy!
Bailey — Google review
First time visiting Maki Fresh was a success. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was a good price and it really did taste fresh. I’d highly recommend the brussel bowl with chicken. My wife got the tiger roll and enjoyed it. For the price, portion sizes were about what you’d expect. The booths are really uncomfortable and it’s hard to explain. Opt for a chair and you’ll enjoy it much more.

If you're looking for a unique dining experience, Stone Age Korean BBQ is the place to be! Nestled on South Memorial Parkway, this down-to-earth eatery specializes in grilled meats and seafood, complemented by an array of sides like bibimbap and kimchi. The highlight here is the interactive cooking at your table—each spot features a built-in grill where you can prepare your meal just the way you like it.
First time trying hot pot and glad we went to Stone Age! We did the all you can eat, selecting our broth and numerous different items to cook in it. After three rounds of meats, fish, and veggies, we still hadn't made it through half the menu, but everything was delicious! The hot pot came with sushi bar as well, which was much more limited in selection, but still able to satisfy two cravings at once. I feel like I'll be full for the next couple of days! Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the items we missed this time.

We came here during lunch while visiting Chattanooga. From the moment we walked in they provided a welcoming experience. My teenage daughter is more familiar with Korean foods so she felt right at home and was really happy with the large variety and the opportunity to try things she hasn't found before. Our waitress was very good at explaining to me the different things on the menu and their flavor profile. They have a very reasonable lunch special. We got everything; the sushi, bbq and hot pot because we were here for the full experience! It was super clean and efficient. We stayed for a while and didn't feel rushed at all but most definitely could be a quick in and out lunch experience. Most definitely will come here again whenever we are in the area.

Great food...was kind of leary about having to cook our own food, but it came to our table seasoned and you could tell it was all fresh ingredients! My only complaint was the spicy squid...I might as well have poured sauce on my truck tire! The sushi bar was excellent and the make your own sauce bar was amazing. It's a bit pricey but it is all you can eat with a 2 hour time limit.

Gash was the best server ever; calm but always making sure we are well served! It is a steal lunch price when you can eat as much only for $19.🤩
Esther H — Google review
Be very aware that there are no lunch prices on weekends or holidays. They do not emphasize this until it is time to pay, so you may feel ambushed. It is on the website but you may miss it. And that is a good $9 difference plus tax and tip difference ($29 for a meal with a $4 potential hotpot). The atmosphere is great (when it is working) and the food quality is going to depend on how good you are at cooking the meat and using hotpot. The beef bulgolgi was the best. They lost power while I was there and had a big ventilation issue. That shouldn’t be the norm so no need for a ding there. I would have liked some sort of comp for having the restaurant dark and smoky for half the time instead of getting a surprise price bump. Not the best early to end the meal. Overall good food but too expensive unless it is for lunch on a weekday.
William C — Google review
I’ve always loved this place so chose it for our anniversary dinner. We were having such a lovely meal until we decided to check out the sushi bar about halfway through. We returned to a completely empty and bussed table in spite of the piles of beef, shrimp, and chicken sitting there. Staff was apathetic and even laughed about them being “overzealous”. They did offer to bring more food, but at that point we weren’t interested in recooking everything. Very disappointing.

Food was great. I have been to one other Korean BBQ restaurant and this one was much better. I like how they season the meat for you and they offer the butter to oil up the grill before you cook. The other place I went to doesn't offer any cooking oil so the food just sticks and burns. Our waitress was kind and quick to retrieve our food. I also really enjoyed the dumplings and rice cakes.

I am never disappointed whenever my sister recommends a place!😁 Sister came through! It was a line out the door but the wait was not too long. The place is a bit small but that did not deter me from wanting to try out a restaurant I have not been to. Everything on the line looked good. I chose the lemon pepper chicken and dressing. The food was seasoned pretty good and I feel as though I got my money's worth. The staff was friendly and I will be coming back whenever I am in the area again.

I will start by saying the BEST hot water cornbread I’ve had in Alabama was from here!!! I ordered a fried pork chop plate with collards, black eyed peas, double cornbread with a side of peach cobbler and everything was delicious!!

This is a great little soul kitchen. You order at the bar and seat yourself or take it to go. I had a patty melt and fried green tomatoes and it was delicious. Also had some catfish and pinto beans and mac which were all so good. Even my son at all his food. I also loved seein how helpful the staff was and how they help the guests at the tables as well with disabilities. Great place.

First I’ll say that their catfish fillet is awesome. After waiting 15 min just to place my order. It went downhill from there. Order 1 catfish plate and a fried pork chop plate. Sign says to allow 15-20 min. There is no where to sit and wait so I placed my order and went to my car. Waited 18 minutes and went back inside. Stood another 10 minutes before asking whats the status. The lady tells me that they have online orders too and only one space to fry fish. Ok but I’ve waited the time and now I’m standing….in heels. Another 5 minutes and someone in the back tells her it will be 8 minutes. Ok so now we’re over 30 minutes since I placed the order. Eventually I asked if I can get a refund and leave. The lady told me that only a manager can do it and no one is there to do it. How awful is that type service!! I refuse to believe that no one in the restaurant can fix register issues. So I had to either wait or leave without food. I considered just leaving and disputing the charge with me cc company but wanted to be fair. Finally get it and check my plates in the car. The attached pictures show how over cooked and old that pork chop is. Absolutely no way I waited 40 minutes just to get this. Wasnt even hot or fresh. To make things worse, I get home to realize that I have cranberry sauce but they forgot to put the darn dressing on the plate!!! Candied yams looks like running mushed potatoes. Nope, I can’t condone this type service or recommend anyone to patronize them. Just having someone to try to follow up with me would have made this better; instead of having to keep asking as if she didnt see me there. They were not busy. A chair or two for those waiting would also be nice. How about opening each plate in front of the customer to allow them to inspect so that issues can be handled before they leave. I live 30 minutes away so I was not returning. Money wasted. By the way, at no point was I rude or disrespectful and neither were they.

My experience there went well..I appreciate the patience they had while I took a little extra time to decide what I wanted to eat 😌 it is kinda small but there is an area for those who choose to eat there..I must say the food was delicious and it was hot and fresh..them lemon pepper chicken..yummy 😋..also the food was not salty considering this a Soul food kitchen 🤗..I think the prices are not bad considering the amount of food you get..will visit again.

Always a nice vibe in Sac's. More of a mature crowd so the DJ plays the best old school jams that will have you dancing all night. The fried fish, fried okra is always hot fresh and delicious. Happy hour specials has good deals. My mixed drink needed to be remade last visit but the bar ladies set me straight. I thoroughly enjoy myself every time I visit.

Neon Lilly offers a fusion of Eurasian and American cuisine that will transport you to distant lands without leaving your seat. The Ukrainian kielbasa, made from selected Boston butts, is a must-try. Despite the packed crowd and some delays in service, the staff's kindness and dedication shine through. The Plov Uzbekistan (lamb pilaf) stands out for its tender lamb, while the Cheburek with chicken, mushroom, and onion filling is a definite winner.
AUTHENTIC! Great menu selection of famous Eastern European dishes. Came here for lunch with some coworkers and we were all very impressed. Food is cooked from scratch so everything is fresh. When ordering remember that these dishes are cooked in a specific way for a reason! Hot tea was fantastic and I ordered the Plov dish from Uzbekistan. The portion was perfect; not too little not too much. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and it is long overdue for me to write this review. A Russian/Eastern European Restaurant in Huntsville? Who would have thought? By now I've tried almost everything on their menu, I've loved almost everything I've tried. In fact, I beg your indulgence with the pictures because I usually forget to take a picture until I've already eaten half the food, it is so good! There is nothing like a nice cold glass of house made Compote (a drink made with various fruit preserves), and a hearty Pierogi (potato dumplings) topped with pulled pork. Their River City Smoked Salmon appetizer is also light and refreshing (and almost too pretty to eat!) The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and everything is made fresh just for you (so there can be a bit of wait, but it's totally worth it.) I highly recommend it. Be adventurous and try something new! Today I tried their summer soup, Okroshka. A creamy vegitable soup served cold, it was perfect for a hit summer day like today. And a wonderful place to try Borscht for the first time (a traditional beet soup).

I really really loved this restaurant! Our server was very friendly and attentive. My main dish was the Plov Uzbekistan (lamb pilaf) and it was great. The lamb was very tender and delicious. The dish that blew me away was the Cheburek though. The filling I had was chicken, mushroom, onion and it was so good that I had to order another one! The sweet tea was very good and unique. I'm also very happy that I tried the honey cake because it's to die for. Definitely ask if they have it! Even if you don't have an adventurous palate I think you will like this place.

What an amazing restaurant experience! The atmosphere and owner/employees are welcoming, and the food is absolutely fabulous! I got a turkey and pork cheburek, river city salmon, and lamb shawarma which were all so delicious. I especially enjoyed the turkey cheburek and shawarma each (along with everything) is made with fresh ingredients. The sweet tea is traditional and very refreshing as well. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

This place is so delicious! Everything is made from scratch. We tried so many dishes and they were all cooked to perfection ! The staff is so friendly too. I love that the menus describe the food and have pictures. If you don’t know the food, you can easily see what it’s like. Dolmades - some of the best I’ve had . Rarely can you find true homemade domo Borsht- this was a first for me and better then expected . Very savory and almost like potato Shawarma - very complex flavors , perfectly seasoned and toasted Plov - delicious lamb and rice dish . Tiramisu - this was one of the best I’ve had!

Up visiting the space and rocket Center with family and we happen upon this place for lunch. It was pretty quiet and for the most part we had the place to ourselves. The waiter was great and gave us some wonderful recommendations. Everything was amazing and even the picky eaters liked their kid dishes. I am marking this place on Google maps and will even make the drive from Birmingham to Huntsville just for this food. Go. Eat. And Enjoy these Eastern European dishes.

Delicious! Looking forward to going back and trying other things on the menu. I love the nice china. The whole restaurant feels much more intimate than a normal 'corporate' restaurant (if that makes sense?). Only thing kind of weird is that we ordered water, which was $1.50 and came in a bottle, as opposed to free from the tap. Makes sense being a European restaurant, but didn't expect it. So specifically ask for tap water if that's what you want.
Leslie K — Google review
I wanted to try this place for a long time and we finally went and they were packed! (I'm so glad they were getting business.) The service took awhile but definitely under understandable conditions. I think almost everyone who worked there apologized for the wait and inconvenience. (I wasn't mad. They were all just really sweet and kind people who obviously care about impressions and quality of food.) I can't wait to go back. Anyway, I can say I've ever had Eurasian food and I was excited to try it. It was delicious and you can tell they care so much about the quality and plating of the food. I got the lamb shawarma and it was so good. I can't wait to come again and try some more dishes. Come here if you want something different and delicious. Support these great people!

My husband and I didn’t get to spend as much time as we would have liked to here but to did find some delicious food. We loved the atmosphere and plan to come back. I would really like to come here at night when it is all lit up. The play yard looks really cool with the giant games. We ate at Co-op and Oscar Moon’s. I will share separate reviews for them

Such a cool place! So many interesting food options and a great atmosphere with indoor or outdoor seating areas. There's a huge play yard area with giant games and live music some evenings. The whole area has a cool vibe with buildings that are both modern and rustic at the same time.....Parking was a little crowded when we were here for lunch. We ate at Bark and Barrel and Oh Crepe! I will post separate reviews for each of them.

Visited to see a local band & show support they already have. This place was REALLY nice! I could tell there was security, but it was always classy/hidden. I’m far too scroungy & wild to make it a habit to visit, but nobody was bad to me. I had a fancy beer & got one for the guitarist, stuck around to hear the band for a lil while, and I hooted, hollered, and took off all spastic like a bat. I wish all layers of American Society could behave this well, stay this classy, and be so considerate! Seriously.. I think this is where doctors, lawyers, judges, and police go to blow off steam, and I’m happy for everybody! ☺️ Thank you to this venue for being GREAT; I hope I wasn’t too obnoxious for too long. 🙏🫡

Went for the first time the other day. It was absolutely awesome. Highly suggest that the Korean fried Chicken from "Seoul food" and the dumplings from the Chinese restaurant, The tap room had amazing drinks in service as well. I absolutely loved it. My wife did. It's a great place to bring kids to run around while you sit back and chill and have a drink. Dan can watch football games and more. They also have little fire pits and security walking around. They don't allow vaping inside which I don't understand with open fire pits but I get it in a way as well. There's so many stores and so many places to hang out and sit down and chill. It's really cool and there are plenty of places around or down the road so it's not out by itself either. Plenty of parking. Also definitely check out the espresso martini from peak. I believe it was called and also the little sweets store that sells super awesome desserts. All was so good!

Al Shish Palace is a delightful addition to Madison's culinary scene, specializing in authentic Lebanese cuisine that tantalizes the taste buds. This inviting eatery offers a diverse menu featuring beloved dishes like Warak Arish grape leaves stuffed with rice and an array of vegetarian options such as hummus, baba ghannooj, tabbouli, and falafel. Guests rave about the fresh pita served with flavorful garlic and red sauces that set the stage for a memorable meal.
I recently revisited Al Shish Palace in January 2025. My family and I had eaten there approximately two years before and had a very enjoyable meal. My most recent visit I was surprised to see the inside had been totally renovated and has a much larger seating area. The food is still very well prepared and is full of flavor. Portions are large and have a traditional Mediterranean flair. I would highly encourage anyone wanting to try traditional Turkish or Mediterranean food to come to Al Shish Palace.

I came with my mom today, & this is definitely some of the best food in the Madison county area. Service was quick & efficient. Servers were polite & friendly, they were very attentive to our table. The lamb chops were cooked exactly how I wanted them & my mom really enjoyed the fries. As soon as they brought the bread to our table when we first sat down we knew it was going to be good. I definitely have to return with my friends, I’m missing it already & I just left. 11/10 :)

First time visiting and it is definitely worth checking out. Wish would have tried sooner. Very friendly staff and flavorful food. The Shish Tawook and Shish Kabob were excellent. The Zesty Ghallaba had a good heat that builds.

Inconsistent quality. I have been to this restaurant repeatedly, because I love Mediterranean/Arabic food. The prices are pretty steep, so it’s important that one knows what they’re ordering will be as good as it was the time before. However, this time the falafel was overly spicy like jalapeño and the texture of the stuffed grape leaves was not palatable. The photos are of the amount of food we left behind uneaten. Don’t know why they put so many canned pickle chips on the plate. For the price I would expect some house made Arabic pickled vegetables. This stuff tasted like it came from Costco today.

The bread and garlicky dip is Amazing. Service was fantastic. Salad was good, fresh, and refreshing. Spinach pies were not what I was expecting; not bad but not enough spinach for me. Would come back again for the bread and dip and to try some other items on the menu.

Our first time ever trying Al Shish, also our first time trying Lebanese cuisine .. our server Maddie was great. She recognized it was our first time and explained what all the different foods were to us and gave us recommendations. Wow! Got the lunch portion (classic chicken) Ghalaba, absolutely delicious! Came with addictive garlic butter and thick pitas, salad (or soup), and basmati rice (or fries). Will be back to try other dishes. Great service and music too!

Went to the restaurant and it wasn’t packed. Waited over 30 minutes for my food. Lamb shawarma was great. Chicken shawarma was horrible. Salmon Salad was very fresh. The bread they serve is delicious. They served fries that were soggy. They cooked them and put them in a box and the steam had already made them mush. They need to let the box vent.

Hidden gem on the south wall of Hampton Cove Shopping Center in front of Lowes, Yoshi Sushi Fusion is home to some of the freshest sushi you will ever eat. Omakase Chef's tasting menu is a food journey unlike any other and is well worth reserving a tatami table for.
Great sushi, great drinks! Bees Knees is a favorite. Omg / Hot Summer / Naruto pictured. Kendall was an awesome server at least twice on our visits. Have eaten here many times over the handful of years they've been open. Remaining/only negative: horrible water. Must bring your own. Very metallic tap water taste. This is very common in lower US states in general.

We came here for appetizers. The cheese gyoza (crab and cream cheese in a pastry puff) and rock shrimp were delicious. The quantity was almost enough for a meal.

Pretty good place, with pretty fair service. The appetizer was rather small for the price(calamari) however the over all entries were good size and very filling. Spent around $105 for my wife, daughter and I to eat, that is including the amazing fried cheese cake. Only down side I could find with the whole experience would be the size of the restaurant. Some of the tables were fairly close and with it being a smaller restaurant it tends to seem a little louder when it is full of people there enjoying their meals. Not a big deal but something worth noting. Over all would recommend and will be going back.

The Bento Lunch amazing. Excellent service paired with the best lunch around. The Bento comes with Miso soup, a salad, rice, egg roll, California roll and your choice of teriyaki chicken, salmon, shrimp or steak. The chicken and salmon are our favorites. Price is great and the service is normally very good.

We made the long haul from the West side of town for this place based on reviews. The wife and kids enjoyed everything from the takoyaki, hama jalapeño, katsu ramen and kids katsu. The wife and I enjoyed an assortment of nigiri to include sake toro, toro, hotate. It was all phenomenal. This is by far the best sushi in the huntsville area that we have tried (of the 4 or so major sushi places). The rice as part of the nigiri was a bit stale, but the flavorful fish greatly made up for it. The use of fresh wasabi was appreciated, and the service was great. We'll definitely be back!

Mei Wei Asian Bistro is a must-visit for those craving top-notch Chinese cuisine in Huntsville. The restaurant offers a contemporary twist on traditional Asian dishes and has two convenient locations in the city. Their menu features delectable options like General Tso's Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Sesame Chicken served in a stylish setting. Diners rave about the grilled romaine hearts with lardons, creamy Parmesan dressing, and fried green tomatoes with hot sauce as popular starters.
"A FAVORITE!" I'm currently dining at Mei Wei Asian Bistro, near downtown Huntsville, Alabama. This restaurant and the particular meal that I've chosen again today have long been a favorite choice of mine here. My meal today is the "Thai Coconut Curry" with beef and white rice. EXCELLENT! And, I chose the RED version---which is rather hot (to very hot for some)---versus the GREEN (or mild). For the beef version, they use flank steak, and the way they prepare it makes it just MELT IN YOUR MOUTH as you are eating it. Furthermore, the sauce that the meat is in is a wonderful blend of seasonings. My compliments to this establishment for consistently providing a terrific dining experience. Super yet again! 👍 👍 G. Don't trust anything higher than a 3-star here. Something wrong with the chicken, it does not look like normal cooked chicken can someone come DNA test it please. I attached pictures of their chicken it looks creepy. 0 out of 5 stars I would not recommend❗️❗️❗️

Food: It was okay. Pretty bland to be honest considering how many spices are supposed to be in the food. I ordered the Singapore Noodles. Rice noodles are a favorite of mine and I've ordered a variation of this dish at many restaurants. I was disappointed in Meo Wei's. Atmosphere: When I walked in, it wasn't clear where exactly the counter was or which side of the long row of booths I should walk on. A sign would have been nice. I entered in the wrong side. As I passed I noticed several booths had not been bussed. At least 3. Service: The gentleman at the counter was very sweet and personable. He took a personal call on his cell while I was finishing my transaction though. Maybe it was an emergency, I don't know. The hispanic lady working with him, standing out front next to the checkout where to-go orders would be placed, was on her phone leaning on the counter facing the kitchen. She stayed on her phone until an order needed delivering. While I was eating, the gentleman bussed the tables. I question why phone lady didn't do that while he was helping me and the ladies in front of me. I also saw him assist another table with a special request and pack some to go orders. She kept staring at her phone. Parking: Parking directly by the restaurant is limited; parallel only. There is a parking deck very close by in front of publix. Seating: Six 4-seat booths, Five 6-seat tables, 10 bar-style seats.

Ordered online. Their beef fried rice is the best fried rice I've tasted in Huntsville so far, but their orange chicken was not good at all. Please go to California and learn how to make orange chicken, texture and taste wise. Just train under someone on how to cook the chicken correctly. As for your other dishes, I haven't tried it yet. But Please! This place has so much potential! So do some re-training. For now, it’s a 3 star.

I had never eaten here and ordered the Pad Thai. I would not order it again. The noodles were the size of fettuccine, not like any Pad Thai I’ve ever had and rubbery. But the chicken was thin, large slices and mushy, so it was a weird texture experience. The flavor was also unlike any Pad Thai I’ve ever had, but not in a good way. It was unrecognizable if I didn’t know what I ordered: it tasted like if Chinese take out merged with Italian pasta. Their spice level was good, and they added a lot of chicken so it seemed like a good value for the money until I tasted it.

Store wasn’t busy at all at 6pm. Store was very clean and the lighting was nice. I ordered the General Tao chicken and my sister and mom both had sweet and sour chicken. Our food was tasty, hot, and delivered quickly. We ate in the store which felt comfortable temperature wise. There are bathrooms for guests to use. Staff wasn’t that engaged but they did their job well.

The food was the most distasteful Chinese food I have ever eaten! Hot and sour soup was served with fried noodles that were very stale..soup too thick with corn starch. I ordered orange chicken. This dish was not eatable. Very tiny pieces of chicken fried in thick batter and covered in a very chemical tasting orange colored sauce. There was a shriveled up pea pod on top and am orange slice. My daughter had the sliced beef salad. Hoping it was as good as Surin West restaurant. Just a big pile of lettuce with flavorless beef slices on top. Never will I visit this restaurant again.

PITA Mediterranean Street Food is a great place to get a Mediterranean-style meal. They have delicious gyros, pitas, shawarmas and salads, as well as spicy sriracha hummus and desserts. The portion sizes are large and the facility is usually clean. The only downside is that they don't serve lamb meat, but the deep and interesting flavors make up for it.
*** EDIT *** Since I originally posted this review, I've been back on four other occasions. They've not let me down. Each time has been as incredible as the first. You know it's a hit when you'll drive 28 minutes to get a gyro! (And baklava - but in Armenian we call it paklava) Can’t say enough good things about this place. Reasonable priced. Nice quantity. Great flavor. Meat was tender and moist. Pita was fresh. Portion size of hummus was plentiful. Will definitely be back! Family owned franchise who take pride in their establishment. They are warm and welcoming.

The gyro meat was really good. The rice was super dense and I prefer a light basmati. There was a thick layer of mold in the ice dispenser of the soda fountain which grossed me out. The salad dressing was a packaged dressing and I would have expected a homemade Greek. Unfortunately, (and this is not their fault) PITA is located Right next to a nail salon, so you get whiffs of the nail salon acetone while you're trying to eat which is not ideal. It's very heavy. Overall, if they get the drink fountain cleaned up, it's a pretty good place.

We've already lost Cuban Cafe, we can't afford to lose another.

My family and I came here last weekend to try the food. I heard great things about this place!! We had empanadas. We had the cheese, chicken, and beef. Our favorite was the beef. The sauce they give for it was delicious! We ordered more things but cant quite remember what it was. I just know it has pork and rice with gandules. So yummy! Definitely coming back. My friend recommended the patacon. Can’t wait to come back!!

This place is amazing. It is sorta hidden in the wide open off County Line Road. Stop in here if you get a chance. The meals are authentic and delicious. This is the only place I know of that has a picture of EVERY plate they have so you can see what you’re getting. I am very excited to find a place that has fried plantains or just plantains in general. Will definitely be visiting often.

This little hidden gem is worth a try. Their plates are rather large and the food taste like traditional grandma’s carribean cooking. The meats were tender and the empanadas were my favorite.

Loved my experience at Punta Cana! Delicious food, friendly staff, and a clean establishment. Eating in the renovated bus was definitely a fun vibe. The sampler plate was EXCELLENT. If you haven't been, this should be your go-to.

Such a cool place to eat! The Mashed Plantain Chicken Sandwich is delicious!! And you can either get it to go or eat inside their bus diner! It was really cold outside, but stepping inside the bus hit me with a sudden warmth it was lovely!

First time eating here. Been wanting to stop by for awhile and try it out. I love trying different ethnic foods. My wife and I enjoyed what we ordered. #2 & #4. Plus 2 orange Fantas. Straight up Caribbean food. Loved it. We sat outside with the sun shining, light breeze blowing, trees swaying, Dominican music playing and 2 plates full of food. For a moment, it reminded me of our times in Miami and the Keys. The nice lady that prepared our food was very sweet and smiled a lot. Such a pleasant experience. I recommend this place if you want to try something different and with taste. Will visit again. Mike and Shannon.

Big John’s Huntsville offers a delightful experience with its authentic BBQ sauces and recipes. The speedy service allows you to order your food and relax while enjoying a variety of options, including smoked meats, vegan dishes, and an array of side items. Located near Kroger on 72 next to Bojangles, this place is known for its specialty in ribs, sandwiches, pork, and chicken wings. They also serve fish on Fridays and barbecue on Saturdays.
Experience the BBQ perfection that is Big John's! Indulge in their mouthwatering ribs that will transport you to hog heaven with every bite. The service exudes genuine Southern Hospitality, making you feel right at home. The inviting atmosphere of Big John's will make you never want to depart. This is the epitome of authentic BBQ! Once you take that first savory bite, you'll be hooked just like me. Now, it's your turn to savor the experience!

Big John's is located across from Kroger on 72 next to Bojangles. This place is really hard to find the 1st time. However, after you eat here, you will never forget how to get back. They serve fish on Friday and barbecue on Saturday. The full menu is not available all the time. I recommend you call before you make a trip if there is something specific you want to eat. The red velvet cake here is the best red velvet I've had in a long time. You have to check them out. You will not be disappointed!!!!

8/17 Update: Big John's is now located on 72 in The Open Bottle (I requested an hours and location change through Google.) Was glad to finally get to try them again! The Philly Cheesesteak was so delicious. So messy and delicious. It was definitely worth the wait! Definitely stop by the Open Bottle and give them another try. Can't beat the location. They have a great selection of beer and drinks to go with your delicious BBQ! If you ever find yourself if harvest and wanting some BBQ, Big John's should be your stop. It's connected to an Exxon gas station. It's on the right side and The Event Bar is on the left. (Another great place to eat, btw.) --- I got the rib combo plate. It comes with two sides. I got the Mac and cheese and coleslaw. I appreciate that the coleslaw states on the menu that it's vinager based. You never know what kind of slaw you are going to get at a bbq place and it stops the questioning by having it clearly stated. The ribs had a lot of flavor. They weren't exactly fall off the bone but the flavor was amazing. The Mac and cheese has super cheesy and creamy and the coleslaw was a classic vinegar based slaw. This was a delicious meal and I can't wait to come back and have more when I'm back in the area. Support this locally owned businesses. You won't regret it.

Big John's was a pleasant surprise. When I go to barbq place s for the first time,I usually pick something safe for everyone claims to be good but not. Just being honest. Upon entering I was greeted by to young gentleman that was full of life. We engaged in the convo about barbq after I ordered my safe bet wings. I told them that I was going to get the ribs but had some bad experience at other places serving what I call pork jerky. One of the guys said you cheated yourself and asked for a sample rib from the kitchen. To some things up the rib was good!It was a baby back that was very tender and seasoned right. There was no sauce masking the barbq and wouldn't recommend using. I received my order in less than 5 and was ready to get home to sample what I purchased. I wasn't a mile away before my hand was in the box pulling out a wing lol. When I tell you that these wings were so good that I could have finished them before making it home to finish the sides.I avoided that temptation and finished the complete meal at home.My choice of sides were baked beans and Mac and cheese. Both of these sides were made with love meaning homemade. To sum up my visit this place gets the thump up and a must visit. The wings are some of the best I've had. The rib was good, the sides were good, and the sticky buns cinnamon bun was good. Cant wait for the next visit to pick up some of those ribs. Thanks

Oh man was this some good bbq! I ordered the pulled pork combo plate, which comes with two sides, fried cabbage and tater salad. The pork was juicy and seasoned so we'll I didn't even need the bbq sauce. The tater salad was just how I like it, good combo of mayo and mustard. The fried cabbage was outstanding, I loved it so much. It was also nice to see something different on the menu. The bbq sauce was very different and pretty good once you get used to it. I also really appreciated that the can sodas were only 85 cents.

Lemme tell y'all something, you cannot go wrong with whatever you pick at Big John's. The Philly Fries are a total delicacy and to put it frankly, their wings are a sin against nature. And the prices are very reasonable too. Cannot recommend this place enough. If they are available, you absolutely won't regret it.

The pulled pork was great! Awesome smoke flavor and seasoning. The Rooftop Fries are super delicious as well. First visit there we got a lg Rooftop Fry not knowing what to expect. We will just say those along with the BBQ sandwiches there was so much we ate our fill and had awesome leftovers for lunch the next day. The staff was so nice and helpful for our first visit. We will definitely be going back again!
