We stopped in here on a road trip. Incredible collection of space history. Would recommend getting tickets in advance if you want to do any of the simulators - that's the only thing that had a really long wait. Sprawling campus - we were there in August and it was pretty hot, but you can get into shade or inside easily. Everything super clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Glad we stopped here - amazing showcase of American technology and accomplishment. Nice gift store.

The place is huge, a map is provided so be sure to go to each building, some are not marked very well explaining what is inside. Plan to spend most of the day there as there is so much to see. Wear comfortable walking shoes/sneakers and if you have children, a cart or stroller is necessary. Awesome exhibits and staff was available for questions, even Rocket Scientists to talk with. General Admission doesn't include any extras like the planetarium or simulators/rides and they don't offer any senior or other discounts normally. Food was overpriced at 10.00 for a hamburger but you can bring a picnic lunch and eat outside at the picnic tables. All in All, a fantastic place to visit!

First time visitor here- I went solo and I would 100% recommend!! Seeing the rockets to scale was incredible. The entire facility inside and out was extremely clean. So much to see and learn about you could spend days here. I enjoyed the planetarium show and would highly recommend getting additional tickets for it. Was fun to end the day with a show and popcorn. The G force ride and moon shot are included in GA tickets and were both fun!

I hadn't been for many years and it was very much updated! The museum as a whole is very educational and informative about all things space. Not only does it go into the natural wonders of the universe, but also the history and present of space technology, looking into the future via the space camps. I liked the show in the theater as well as all the interactive exhibits. Be sure to grab a map, as there are exhibits in two buildings as well as outside. Even if the weather is not good for touring outside, there are still plenty of things to look at inside the buildings. The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful, and passionate about their work. The food in the restaurant was very delicious. The gift shop also has lots of neat things for sale and you don't even need admission to shop there if you just needed a quick unique gift for someone. This is by far one of the best things to do in Hunstville. I reccommend this experience for all ages.

Such a cool space. Love all the static displays as well as the interactive exhibits inside. Very kid friendly but still incredibly educational and engaging for all ages. Loved taking our girls there and stoking curiosity about space.

What an awesome experience! This place is a fantastic little gem! The staff are helpful and friendly. I think the coolest room was the weather room as my 3 year old called it! She is obsessed with weather and she went to the tornado simulator over and over and over. She’s ver fascinated by electricity and they had a section for that that definitely fed her appetite! I’m grateful for the experience and want to go again never time we travel through!

It’s fun! The planetarium is a must see. Bring extra money for food (fresh and good) and the gift shop. There are rides and extra things to do that have an additional cost.

We love the outdoors. What a beautiful outdoors this place is! We bought membership for 2 and plan to visit often during the year. The walking paths are both paved and unpaved and all are great for just meandering through a lovely garden.

Always a relaxing walk and something is always blooming. The humongous lily pads at the water garden are worth the visit but don't miss the pitcher plants garden near it. Buy the annual pass as every season has it's own beauty.

It is a nice place to visit! I've been here for 4 years and this was my first visit. My son enjoyed it, my fiance enjoyed it, too. We ended up getting the membership to visit as often as we want to. Plenty of benches to sit down at for those who have limited walking capability/need frequent breaks. A lot of shaded areas.

Would have been 5 stars but it was a little pricey. 100$ for family of 5 to look at some flowers. Granted they were gorgeous flowers. There were lots of nice places to take pictures. The troll garden was a very fun thing.

A friend got us a membership for my son’s birthday and we’ve already had several great trips to the garden! Absolutely gorgeous blooms and so much to look at! I love the new Mama Zelda installation and the butterfly house is my son’s favorite.

10/10 this place is amazing. We stopped in the afternoon early August - was pretty warm. Shortly after arriving the nicest lady (Michaelle Goforth) saw my son's knee brace and offered to drive us around on a cart - we spent a solid 1.5 hours with her and she showed us all kinds of things - A+ on customer service! Sprawling campus, I could spend days there taking photos. Very well maintained. The butterfly house has some beautiful specimens. Captured an Indigo Bunting and Goldfinch along with a bunch of great butterfly shots. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time here. They have a well curated collection of beautiful, thoughtful art. Everyone we encountered on their staff was very helpful and friendly too. The Gilded Wilderness exhibition was particularly inspiring. We highly recommend going here.

We really enjoyed visiting this museum & for the price it was really worth it... we paid $22 for 2 adults... & it has some very interesting exhibits ranging from American art to European & Asian & others... all worth seeing... it also has a balcony overlooking the Big Spring International Park with some nice views, of the park & grounds along with a nice bench to seat & relax for a spell while checking out scenery in the park... almost forgot to mention Pane E Vino Pizzeria attached to same building as the museum accessed from accessed from separate entrance but is also worth visiting for a bite when ya get that appetite for a bite... really great hand tossed pizza for fair prices... we got an 16" pizza and meatball appetizer was really good with the marinara sauce... loved the option for indoor/outdoor seating as we sat outside to experience the wonderful weather & scenery...

What an incredible museum! A full range of art genres & the bonus is that new balcony is open & has a beautiful view. I have to say, hands down, Loretta & Greg were also the best guides. They are part of the security crew & just both so friendly & helpful, making the whole experience a truly memorable one!

My first tip is stop at the Huntsville Visitor Center and grab your 20% off coupon then make sure you visit this museum. The hand cut paper, tires, and metals were the big draw for me. They were absolutely stunning. There was plenty of street parking and terrific cafes nearby. The staff are friendly but the museum is a little warm inside so layer. No food or drink are allowed inside.

10/10/2025 We've been to this museum several times in the past and really enjoyed it. This is the first time that we've been since they redid the HVAC system. I seems like this museum had a lot more artwork in the past. We toured the entire museum and were done in approximately an hour and a half. There were several galleries that were closed and we were told they should be open in 7 days. Would have really appreciated it more if they displayed true art instead of copies that were printed off like a poster and displayed just to fill up empty space in the museum. I don't feel it was worth the admission price that they charged today.

This is a beautiful museum; I definitely recommend it. They had mainly local artworks, but also a few widely known artists like Chihuly. The local artists had some absolutely breathtaking works here as well. It's not a huge museum, but it's worth visiting for sure. The gift shop had some neat items, and it was definitely expensive, but that's expected because it is an art museum.

if I could select 100 stars I would! We were beyond satisfied with not only the space of the venue, The Loretta Spencer Hall, but the staff! You guys are amazing. ESPECIALLY Ms. Jennifer Goff!! She stepped up and in on so many different levels and made sure our day was everything we could imagine. Even though our ceremony was in the park and not inside the staff STILL stepped in to make sure the transition of our guests was simple and easy! I recommend you guys for EVERY event! We look forward to seeing what we can come up with for our baby shower! Keep up the good work!!

Burritt on the Mountain is a great spot in Huntsville that is filled with a ton of history. At this venue there are many events trails, historical points and scenic overlooks. Due to its location, it is often missed by people who call the Huntsville area home. Be sure to add it to your trip if you are from out of town or to your weekend plans if you’re a local.

Cooper made a great event happen! This is such a great destination for anyone new to the area. Get the reservation and enjoy the amazing views. Very nice staff and just a great use of this property. Highly recommend!

Went for the Wednesday Cocktails at The View. It's was a fantastic time with a great view. A table was reserved for $25, but it got a better and closer view. I'd highly recommend this for a fun and enjoyable date night. Drinks are about $10. Just your average selection, but be sure to reserve food the day before if you want food. Overall, it was a great time and a memorable date night.

Superb place to visit. Staff is amazing, great panoramic view of Huntsville. The tikets are dirt cheap when you concider what you are getting.

Went with a group to see the "view" and enjoy cocktails. We were able to order limited snacks and drinks and sat at a table in the grass. Great atmosphere and energy. It was a unique experience that I would recommend to anyone to attend - at least once.

Great hiking trail on South Plateau Loop for a newcomer to hiking. Did the 3.5 mile loop, which was well marked. Had good elevation changes and a few strenuous parts. Good parking. Cost to get in park is $5 per person. You’ll encounter other hikers, runners and bikers on the trail.

Had most of my wedding party stay at the cabins over the weekend. Stayed four nights and rented 8 cabins and one of the glamping tents over the weekend. Love this park and forest. Playground and trails for the kids. Fire pits for nightly hangouts and the renovations to the cabins are really nice. Only downside is I had difficulties with one of the park workers at the front desk. Every interaction with them was unfriendly. It became an inside joke to my friends and family that I had an enemy in the park. Everyone else I interacted with were great! Tracy who works cleaning services at the park also went out of her way to help my family find accommodations at the timberline tents when we had a flight fiasco that required some same day booking. I camped here with my mom as a toddler and I still come back every year for Christmas at the cabins.

Pretty cloudy day, but it was very nice. The waterfall was close and the scenic overlooks were very nice. I'd really like to spend more time there going through the trails. This park has a lot to offer, though.

There is so much to explore at Monte Sano State Park! My family & I were there the majority of the day & still had so much left to explore. The park has a playground area, picnic areas, wonderful lookout view, many trails for hiking or biking & is pet friendly (as long as they're leashed). They have cabins available to rent as well as a campground. There are rest areas located throughout containing restrooms as well as trashcans & also benches or picnic tables for needed breaks along the trails. The trails are accessible, well maintained & visibility marked. The views are absolutely amazing! If you go to the lookout spot, don't pass up stopping by the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum & Memorial to spend some time chatting with Mr. Oceola Jack Byrne about the history of the park as well as Huntsville! He is an absolute gem & has quite a few very interesting photos/ historical artifacts in his hut station to show off! This is one state park that you don't want to miss out on!

Went with my 15 year old daughter hiking. The trails and views are wonderful! They have different trails for different level of hikers.

Love this park and area a lot. We have stayed here many times but I’d never left a review. The park employees are super friendly and the park itself is just a respite from the world down the mountain. The camping spaces are treed and wide, easy in and out and the trees and views and hiking trails are perfect. The mansion down the hill has spectacular views of sunset! Thanks for another great stay, Monte Sano.

Beatiful park. I wish we had more time to explore it but we were expected elsewhere. Level and ample sites. A bit crowded but not loud. The new restrooms are just getting completed and looked very nice but were not on line yet (110625). The old bathrooms were fine but old. No complaints. We hope to return with more time.

Outstanding arts and crafts location. I think there are over 200 artists studios covering the three floors. Best day to go is on a Saturday when they also have an outdoor market.

What a fabulous, strange, and whimsical place. It's a haven for artists and creatives of all sorts, chock full of dazzling surprises around every corner. The old mill is labyrinthine and confusing, but I'd happily get lost in there all day! Definitely worth checking out!

As a Huntsville native, it really makes me happy that this former shoe mill has been transformed into a wonderful creativity mill, a haven for artists of all styles to work, display & sell their creations! It is the largest, privately owned facility of its kind in the U.S. Touring all 3 floors with 150+ studios may take all day or at least several visits. An endless supply of murals, antiquities from the original Mill & other artistic backdrops for photos/snaps can be found, even in the stairwells & bathrooms. You'll find tattoos, glass crafters, handmade jewelry, marionettes, clothing, costumes, oddities, sculpters, painters, pop culture retailers & public classes are offered on pottery, blacksmithing, piano & so much more! Fun ceiling swings hang on Floor 2 & several restaurants & benches are scattered throughout. Lowe hosts several annual pop culture conventions, concerts & movies on the dock, public art exhibits & an annual Rocky Horror Picture Show interactive in the fall. There is truly "something for everyone" here & we look forward to every single visit. Cre8tive Sistas is our favorite studio! From a real estate standpoint, there are many great opportunities to live in or near this amazing arts district!

Incredible vendors with art literally everywhere. It reminded me of Asheville, NC arts district. The only downfalls were that A LOT of vendors were closed on a Saturday so we were disappointed and the smell of cat urine (no way it’s bats) in the stairwell was so overwhelming it made me question whether each floor was worth it.

This is an amazing place to take in many different artists at work. I love that they repurpose the space and that the stairwell is basically a guide to where to go. The ravenwood Meadery seemed to be the most popular place when I was there.

I only made it through part of the first floor! This place is so cool and something new to look at with every step you take. I can't wait to go back and see more of it. You can not see it all in one trip.

This is my “go to,” place when I’m in town. They have many different art studios for all kinds of art lovers. I find something new every time I visit! I stopped by today after work to grab the porky pig pizza at Veloce pizza and an iced tea from Piper & Leaf tea company but I’m certain I found a cat I need to adopt and a band I want to see live. This is a don’t miss spot that every city needs.

We stopped by on a Tuesday morning and had a wonderful tour with the docent. So much great history and information.

We had our wedding reception at the Weeden House and had the most incredible experience. The staff is so kind in helping you coordinate and working directly with your wedding planner. The turf in the backyard is the perfect setting for a wedding, especially because there’s no mud to be worried about! I highly recommend using the Weeden House for your big day or other event!

The historic home set within Huntsville oldest, beautiful neighborhood is worth a visit. Its most famous owner was one Howard Weeden who is most noted for her sensitive and impressive portraits of African Americans. The furnishings are not original, but there are some lovely antiques to admire. The tour guide's presentation could be a bit more sophisticated when speaking to adults, but don't let that stop you from stopping here for a tour. Note: Visitors must be able to climb stairs.

Gina James was amazing. My husband and I had the best time on our Weeden House tour. Gina was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and interacted with us, which we thought was great. Aside from our great tour guide, this home and its history is just fascinating. I highly recommend a tour.

I first visited on a walking tour. I saw much of the house and enjoyed the history of it. This time I was there for a celebration of life that had been planned for the backyard. Rain caused a change in plans. The parlor worked out well and I understand that staff offered the family the option of changing to the next day. The family opted to keep the original time because many guests were from out of town. The reception after the service in the dining room worked out well too.

We had a wonderful tour of the Weeden House with Karen, our tour guide. The house is beautiful and I learned so many things about Huntsville and Howard Weeden's art. It is totally worth a visit!

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Director Beth was the best tour guide, sharing an impressive amount of archetectual, lifestyle and social details of early Twickenham Huntsville. I highly recommend you take this one in!

We really enjoyed city park... it looks pretty well maintained & nice scenery... enjoyed walking the grounds around the lake filled with Koi, Carp & Gold fish & the various restaurants located around the park in addition to The Huntsville Museum of Arts are very close... we visited Pane E Vino Pizzeria located on one corner of same building as the Museum the entrance access is separate entrance from Museum though... anyway this place was worth a visit as well with great pizza ... inside/outside seating is offered as well...

Awesome park smack dab in the heart of downtown Huntsville. Cool place to chill and at night, the colors really come alive. It's pretty cool, Gives very relaxed vibes also within walking distance of pretty much all the restaurants and the von Braun center so its convenient.

I took my fur baby to Big Spring Park for our morning walk on Saturday morning. It is a very nice place and very quiet. The spring is nicely kept. Duck, geese, and fish are abundant. Very picturesque.

Beautiful park, finally had the opportunity to walk in the park. Next time I'll be sure to bring quarters to get fish food and duck out of the machines so I can feed the fish and ducks.

My husband and I were in town for a concert. This morning I decided to visit the park even though it was dreary and rainy. I'm glad I did, because I enjoyed the walk so much. The history of the park is intriguing. The koi and ducks are beautiful. The canal spring, and all the fountains are amazing. The Peope of Huntsville should be proud of their wonderful city park.

Several informative staff personnel provide as many stories replete with historical trivia as you desire. Or as few as you prefer. Not for everybody but everyone can find something of interest during a 2-hour visit.

FANTASTIC!!! Well I typically only give negative reviews to establishments that send me home with homework, but this Veterans Museum is AWESOME 😎👍🏾 they don't look like much from the outside, and it's tucked away at the old airport, but TOTALLY WORTH IT! They actually have quite a huge collection of tanks, jeeps, they have a few helicopters, lots of history! Too much for me to take it all in in a single day, at least while I had the kids with me. But they enjoyed it as well! World's oldest surviving prototype jeep resides here! And the awesome employees are great too! Did I mention it only cost me $11 dollar total for myself and my two teenage girls! Can't beat it! Stop by and support this hidden gem!!

My family has been to a lot of different military museums, this was one of the best I’ve seen! The museum was well organized and maintained. The staff was knowledgable and friendly. I highly recommend visiting here, our whole family (especially the kids) enjoyed.

Great museum that goes from the "American Revolution" all the way to "Operation Enduring Freedom". We're in town visiting Huntsville,Alabama and we decided to visit the museum for a little culture. It was a good hour of an unguided walk through and taking in all the sights. It's a treasure trove of information and memorabilia. Highly recommend for a quick inexpensive cultural stop.

Huge, every square foot use to honor Veterans. BEST displays of all time; more vehicles, aircraft, weapons systems, radios, and military than any other military museum I've seen. All staff are volunteers, VERY friendly. Check it out, it's worth the trip. SFC Dave Stewart, USA, Ret.

Had the opportunity to visit the Veterans Museum while in Huntsville, AL, as a veteran myself, it was a nice tour. It was a great experience and enjoyed seeing all the different items from different time periods with different branches of the Military. Walked through the museum with my daughter and grand children. Reasonable cost and very educational for the entire family.

We were visiting and saw this driving by and decided to stop. The museum was closed so didn’t get to see the interiors but the kids didn’t care. They got to play with the trains outside. Not a large place but it’s exciting enough for kids that love trains. Plenty of parking.

This was a very interesting & educational stop during our family vacation. We enjoyed looking at the trains & learning their history. Not to mention, this was one of our Lucky Duck scavenger hunt spots! I highly recommend stopping by the welcome center (which is just before the Depot Museum) & gathering information about local activities, sights, attractions, entertainment, etc. The scavenger hunt is what ultimately led us here!

My husband and I visited this cute little park. We just walked around the grounds and looked at the displays. They were very neat to see.

It does not seem like this place was still in operation (shop within the premise was closed). It was an open space (gate was open) and people could roaming around. There are a few trains in display. But other than that, not much to see. The area does not seem well maintained. Nice cool place to check out and spend a little time walking around.

Very nice railroad themed park. The museum was closed the day I visited. However, there was a vast area to walk with a variety if train cars on display. I enjoyed seeing the turntable and engine house.

I visited the museum on a weekday. I met a young lady named and she was very knowledgeable about their museum and different historical facts. She told me something I wasn’t aware of in the history of Alabama. Constitution Hall Park have some very interesting artifacts. Everyone there was kind and very helpful. Thanks again Emily. The grounds are impressive. However, we went on a homeschool day, and there was no formal tour. I would really like to experience a formal tour. We will definitely go back for that.

It was okay. All of the staff were amazing amd so friendly with our field trip kids. The kids loved it and had so much fun but to me it was a little overpriced for what it is. There were a couple of the play areas shut down the day we went that we wished we could've enjoyed. But to me it was just okay. They had a water Lego table, several areas for the kids to build using different types of items such as foam Legos, wooden slats, gear tables and things of that nature but our 8 year old wasn't at all interested in any of that. They had a milk the cow station as well as a play veterinarian setup which was probably our daughter's favorite thing to do of the day. Her other favorite was the play kicthen/dining area. Other than that there was a pirate ship where they could raise the flag, a couple of smell this and guess what's inside and feel this to guess what's inside but I wasn't impressed. They had a talking tree which was creepy to my 8 year old. Other than that it was just wall around and look at stuff. It might be worth it if it were a rainy day and you just really wanted to get the kids out of the house, but to me I'd rather spend my money elsewhere doing something my little would find more entertaining but it wasn't bad, I just wouldn't rave over it. But the staff were phenomenal!!!

My grandkids all love this place. Great indoor place to spend a few hours letting your kids learn new things while they explore and play. They really liked the Tinker Lab and doing experiments led by the science instructor. There was a special limited appearance PAW Patrol: Adventure Play exhibit that enjoyed seeing, too.

This is one of the best things to do with kids under age 10. There are plenty of things to do once your kid is big enough to walk, but also very engaging things for your bigger kids. Tons of opportunities to play pretend, learn, and run around. We bought the year pass.

We’ve been here twice now and love it. It’s clean, lots of activities, the kids could play for hours in some of the rooms. I highly recommend this location for anyone with toddlers, a great place to go on rainy days!

Took our 2 year old here for the Star Wars event and had the best time ever! Great mix of both high energy and low energy exhibits. There's something for everyone to enjoy

It was awesome, the kids loved it! It was $50 for three adults and 2 kids, not bad with so much to do and it's on the inside.

Expensive letdown. We took our 3 1/2 year old who is easily entertained. The main exterior areas of the activity centers are impressively built, but the activities inside are sub-par at best. We spent 45 minutes and $30 wandering around hoping something exciting would be around the corner, but nothing. The areas seemed unkept, and half-heartedly put together. My child usually pitches a fit when it’s time to leave anywhere, but he happily left when we said it was time to go.. less than an hour after arriving. Truly do not understand how anyone could go more than once.

My dog and I enjoy walking the greenway and she really enjoys playing in the water or rolling in the wet grass.

Very relaxed city park with a ton of greenery and places to hammock next to the river. There are a few short easy trails that circle the preserve and a long paved walking trail for runners. The Hays Nature Preserve 1.8 mile trail was partly flooded when I went in March blocking off the southwest portion of the trail. There were a ton of fishers using the lake. Pretty peaceful walk at sunset and it wasn’t too crowded. A great place to visit for a brisk outside walk to get some exercise and fresh air.

My family loves this beautiful place! Whether you just want to enjoy the weather and have some relaxing free time, let the kids play on the playground, or just drive through and take in all the scenery, this place has it all. We stop by every time we make our way toward Huntsville and always have a great time! My albums are full of wonderful family memories. ❤️🥰 *we do miss the huge rope swing :(

We went for Earth Day! It was my first time going. I really enjoyed this park, I will definitely be going back. Very nice kids park in the "woods". Beautiful lake and walking area. It was beautiful all around! Highly recommend for quite couple time, or take the family for a fun afternoon.

This was my first time at Hays after living within 15 minutes for the past 2 years. The playground is somewhere I would have loved to hang out when I was younger. They even have a little library! Walked on a few trails and they were in good shape other than a tree down. There were plenty of people fishing and trail running. The mosquitoes weren't bad because of the cool weather and the fall colors are just starting to come in! I can't wait for my little one to get a little older so we can come all the time!

We meet the family with all the grandkids at Hays after church on Sundays. Sometimes we hike, other times lunch, and still other times we meet in the play area and let the kids roam around. The park, the lake, and every aspect of the Preserve is beautiful. There is always many people but the area is so large that it isn't crowded and this is a lot of parking. It would also be a wonderful place to take small cooler with snacks and soft drinks and a good book. There are many tables and shade trees.

Such a cool place! So many interesting food options and a great atmosphere with indoor or outdoor seating areas. There's a huge play yard area with giant games and live music some evenings. The whole area has a cool vibe with buildings that are both modern and rustic at the same time.....Parking was a little crowded when we were here for lunch. We ate at Bark and Barrel and Oh Crepe! I will post separate reviews for each of them.

This is a great spot to grab a bite and hang out with friends and family, listen to live music on the weekends, enjoy the weather out doors, and support local businesses. Highly recommend!

Visited to see a local band & show support they already have. This place was REALLY nice! I could tell there was security, but it was always classy/hidden. I’m far too scroungy & wild to make it a habit to visit, but nobody was bad to me. I had a fancy beer & got one for the guitarist, stuck around to hear the band for a lil while, and I hooted, hollered, and took off all spastic like a bat. I wish all layers of American Society could behave this well, stay this classy, and be so considerate! Seriously.. I think this is where doctors, lawyers, judges, and police go to blow off steam, and I’m happy for everybody! ☺️ Thank you to this venue for being GREAT; I hope I wasn’t too obnoxious for too long. 🙏🫡

Fun area with a lot of diverse options for food. The guy that was singing the Sunday evening we were there was phenomenal. Great seating area to watch the performers. Very nice little shoos to peruse.

Went for the first time the other day. It was absolutely awesome. Highly suggest that the Korean fried Chicken from "Seoul food" and the dumplings from the Chinese restaurant, The tap room had amazing drinks in service as well. I absolutely loved it. My wife did. It's a great place to bring kids to run around while you sit back and chill and have a drink. Dan can watch football games and more. They also have little fire pits and security walking around. They don't allow vaping inside which I don't understand with open fire pits but I get it in a way as well. There's so many stores and so many places to hang out and sit down and chill. It's really cool and there are plenty of places around or down the road so it's not out by itself either. Plenty of parking. Also definitely check out the espresso martini from peak. I believe it was called and also the little sweets store that sells super awesome desserts. All was so good!

Came here expecting a nice stroll with my dog. Left because the maintenance was rude. Wont be coming back ever. I regret paying cash because I just finished the second half of my Philly after “no dogs allowed” and found STEEL WOOL in my meat. Never again 10,000/10,000.

Really unique shop with the original cabinets on the wall. When paying with cash the store still uses it's original cash register. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Cool little place to stop in when you're in the area. Not ideal for small children. It's very quiet in the store and aisles are tight.

Feels like you're walking back in time. The walls are filled with stuff that was for sale here many decades ago when it was still a hardware store and not a gift shop. Fun, local art gallery in there too.

Such a fun and interesting general store. The oldest in ALA when visitors are in town this is a must pop in. Right on the historic square and filled with local and regional artisan crafts, gifts and more. From soaps to marbles you will be amazed at everything they have. The staff are half clerks - half docents so fun and filled with facts, tidbits and info on Huntsville and the store. This is just as much a tourist attraction as it is business. You’ll be delighted at their selection and leave knowing a little bit of history of Huntsville too.

Stop by the visitor's center in Huntsville and grab a scavenger hunt list of items to find here! You get to take home a prize. You will find unique gifts here, hand blown glass marbles, artwork, baking supplies, tools, and very cool antiques to check out. You might be so lucky to find a Huntsville Lucky Duck right outside too, just look up. 😉

Historic museum/retail store. Nice place, friendly staff... had a lot of old-time toys/games/etc as well as local art and crafts to purchase. Good place to go to learn local history and spend time

I come here every few months to buy gifts for family. Its a great shop to gift shopping. Some items are a little overpriced and there isn't a huge selection, but the store is basically half retail and half museum.

Probably one of the most underrated and under appreciated entities in the Huntsville vicinity. They are basically the only reason there are any natural places left here. Without them, developers would have paved over every single square foot of land decades ago, as they are now with the unprotected land.

Thank you for making six nature preserves open to the public. Love the 65 miles of trails. Your office is on Artie St and your preserves are all over Madison County. Aaa+++

I didn’t know this Beautiful Nature Trail was so close to were I live. I took my dad, he was visiting me from Puerto Rico and we had an amazing time. We didn’t walk too much on the trails but I’m definitely going back prepared for it. The day was perfect! There’s picnic areas, restrooms are clean, they also have an area that my guess you can rent for birthdays party. I was so impressed of that beauty that Mother Nature offer us. I took so many pictures, I’m definitely going back.

We absolutely love this trail! It's beautiful all year round and well maintained. There's beauty the entire way. There are picnic benches, swings, and places to stop and sit a spell if you get tired on the trail.

The Orion is the BEST venue I have ever been to. We came for Tipper and Friends and loved every moment. The staff were so friendly and kind, they seemed to like us too. The venue was clean and beautiful and shiny new. The food options were delicious, the bar had amazing drinks (we loved the lobster Gatorade, iykyk). The vinyl afters held in the courtyard after the event was such a vibe. We love the Orion and hope to come back soon. 💗 also the surrounding area seems so nice and clean! We enjoyed Huntsville so much, thanks for hosting us oddballs ❓❣️

The Orion Amphitheatre is quite a bit away from being the world class venue that it touts itself as unfortunately. While the acoustics, food and atmosphere are great, the seating and comfort of the venue leaves a LOT to be desired. If you're going here, bring your own seat backs, the ones you can rent are supremely uncomfortable. If you go without one, prepare to perish while you sit on the hardest surface known to man in a space that's about enough size for a small child to sit in. Serious changes are needed to truly make this a word class location. Building an amphitheatre is great, but we don't need to be as uncomfortable as the Romans were in theirs.

This place is an architectural marvel! It's like a Roman Coliseum, and worth visiting even if no one is playing. Their food isn't your everyday concert food, and a huge step above most restaurants. Their drink selection is amazing too! Highly highly recommend the Orion Amphitheatre!!!

Attended Tipper and Friends here both in 2024 and 2025 and it was the best venue experience I’ve ever had. There is legitimately not a bad seat in the house. Staff was incredibly accommodating, seriously the best in the business. And the medical support was incredible, especially with us spunions they really made us all feel really safe and welcomed here at all times. Couldn’t speak any higher about the Orion! An absolute must see venue and travel worthy!!

An absolutely beautiful venue! Parking is plentiful and easy. They have a wonderful selection of food, snacks and beverages, including an on site restaurant, multiple food trucks and standard concessions. The venue was beautifully laid out and includes (at least) one elevator for ease of access to upper levels. I highly recommend arriving early to allow time to enjoy the food and relax a bit before the show.

I feel like this venue has reset the bar/standard to how concerts should be experienced. Intimate yet suitable for holding medium/large crowds comfortably. The staff is unmatched to any other staff in venues alike, showing nothing but love for their attendees and it truly shows. (Not just saying that either) It isn’t close to St. Louis but I’ll be keeping myself in the loop with what concerts will be there in hopes to make the trip again and again in the years to come. Love you guys and thank you so much for an unforgettable weekend. Btw the shrimps with the little shirts you guys were giving out were so wholesome!!

Great outdoor venue, sound quality was perfect even in the back. Highly recommend bringing a cushion to sit on due to the wooden 'bleacher' seating. Drink selection was pricey but enjoyable all tge same. (Photos are Teddy Swims 8/18/25)

2025.10.19 ~07:45 During my walk in the neighborhood, stopped-by the Cemetery for some peace and quiet, and to reflect on the meaning of Life .. 🌈

This is Huntsville's historic cemetery. Once a year there is a walk through with nearly 100 sights of citizens in period costumes telling stories of their times - politicians, Civil War soldiers, World War soldiers, a Madam, people of historically African-American significance, a movie star (Talulah Bankhead), etc., also traditional period music. There is simply too much to take in! But it is well worth a day trip (or even over night) to see. And the cemetery itself is positively beautiful.

My family is there. The love and actual pride that the people who work and care for Maple Hill take in their job truly shows. Please check online 4 times of events that they have including the cemetery stroll.

I just did the stroll today with actors playing the parts of well known local figures buried or associated with Maple Hill Cemetery! If you get the chance go!

Here the german Rocket Team around Wernher von Braun found its last place. Great that they were together in livetime and now in heaven. We visit them every yesrand found relatives.

So much history here. Several important people of Alabama buried here, including several past governors.

Peaceful setting in beautiful surroundings. My wife and I were visiting this historic cemetery lookin for Veterans and we were not disappointed. It was sad to see some of the beautiful monuments power washed as it damages the stonework! We will go again and recommend to all!

Only a few sites have 50 amp electricity. Most have 30 amp. Very shaded no satellite reception. But there's a lot of local stations. Beautiful boat docks and put ins. It's a Campground. Not a hotel

I can't tell you about any more than I experienced. We were there for Ruck up 22. It is a event that is for all people especially veterans to bring attention to the average daily suicides of military members, which is 22 per day. Think about that! If The event is not just in Huntsville it's in other places as well. We, I'm included this time, get together at a mutually beneficial place like Diddo landing and you can either walk or run 22 miles with a 22 lb ruck sack and or contribute $22 or do like I'm going to do is walk 1 mi a day for 22 days. I'm just going to walk cuz I can't run that far, at 72. I didn't know about this event until I joined the VFW post that I belong to, Post 5162. It is the VFW, the American Legion,and other veteran's organizations, Veterans and civilians supporters.And it's not just for veterans themselves, it's also for the families. It's the families that serve as well, when their family members are away or in the military and not at home. It doesn't matter whether it's wartime or peacetime. There's always that chance that that veteran will never come home. You can get harmed, you can get killed, through an accident, intentional attack like we seen at some of our bases and some of our Forts and some of our military installations. Or like the Pentagon attack on 911. We, military and our families, are always at risk. All we do for Ruck up 22 is try to bring attention to the seriousness of our situations as active duty and as retired, the Guard, or the Reserve, whatever the situation either a member or family member. So please when you get a chance don't just thank someone for their service think about what the families that go through as well. I realize this is not really supposed to be said during a survey for a particular place. But since it was it started at Ditto Landing I felt the need to say this. They were so kind to let the sponsors host this and we didn't interfere with anyone else. But quite a few people showed up and it was very nice. It is a beautiful, beautiful place. I discovered new fishing holes or fishing places, I didn't know about. I didn't have time to explore but I'm going to do that again, very soon. So I'll make another review later on after I find some new places to stay and or fish. Everyone it is very nice place to visit. A beautiful place to explore and please go. So, if you see an old guy with a goatee, a cane, two rods and reels paddling around, that's me. But don't tell my wife!! 😅🤣😂. I'm supposed to be doing something official. Ot is a truly beautiful place. Running and biking tracks, I saw a golf course, nice dock areas and more amenities. Please visit and post. (Tell me about your secret fishing holes! We just love Ditto Landing. The Camping is always fun. More importantly we love the Boat Ramp it’s always clean and safe. The Venue offers music and other events that my family love and enjoy!

My husband and I drive to Ditto, park and just sit to enjoy the Tennessee River. Its a peaceful visit and sure helps to relax a body!

In making my slip reservations weeks in advance, I learned that this is a woman-owned business. I already had high expectations for a woman to be so successful in what I perceive as a male-dominated business. Those expectations were met. We are visiting the marina as transients. It is in a gorgeous setting along the Tennessee River. Easy to get into with deep water, the fuel dock was easy to find. They had 89 octane, ethanol-free. Several pumps, actually. Saturday’s harbor master was very friendly and helpful. Sadly, I did not get to meet the owner. I explained that this was our last stop of a several week trip and that a boat hauler would be meeting us here in a day or two. So she put us in a transient slip next to the ramp to make haunt-out a tad easier. She even showed us the slip first. It is either brand new or very well maintained. The surrounding rubber fender strip was in great shape. Cleats were plentiful. The ships store was low on some stock being late October, the end of their season. There is not a restaurant on site. While there, my boat hauler called and said he would not be there before my scheduled fly out. The electric switch controlling his trailer brakes had failed enroute and he was waiting on the part. I explained this to the marina and they said, no problem, we’ll keep an eye on your boat until he gets here. I highly recommend this stop along the Tennessee River as long as you’ve got food on the boat, can use Uber Eats, or will just stay at a local hotel.

Clean and safe park. Appericated the security guard checking in at our event and at the grounds. Enjoyed the trail and the campgrounds. Beautiful time of the year!

Checked in at 1:45pm went to use ladies facilities. This is what I found. Disgusting! Called marina asked when gets cleaned she had no response. After I told her issues sent someone out. We will see how our stay goes. So we checked in on Tuesday..... Tuesday evening this tree branch fell thankfully didn't hit anything, still laying there today Thursday July 17,2025. When I go to shower the soap and loose paper is still laying in shower from 1st photos I took on Tuesday. Today after being gone we come back to campground and we have no water service...NO ONE EVEN BOTHERED TO TELL US WE ARE WITHOUT WATER DUE TO WATERLINE BREAK. Also there septic dump station is down and has been since we got here. This is a absolute awful place to be.

Had a blast at The North Alabama Railroad Museum with my daughter’s 1st grade class field trip! The train ride was the perfect length for littles; long enough to feel like it was worth it, short enough the kiddos don’t get restless. The exhibits were well done, informative and interesting. We learned all about mail delivery by rail! Would recommend a little family day trip. So fun!

I have no idea why anyone would not leave a 5 star review. I took my sons, 7 & 2 on this historic train experience and we loved every second. The conductors are so awesome and knowledgeable, the gift shop items are so reasonably priced, and the tickets are the absolute cheapest you will find to ride any train, anywhere. 10/10 would recommend and I think we will be coming back very soon!

I had a wonderful time with my family! One of the volunteers was about to leave but saw us walking around and very graciously unlocked the caboose and gave us a short tour. I learned so much about cabooses! It was a lot of fun. I look forward to returning again! Really cool place.

Train ride was fun, but a bit too long and slow. Museum didn't seem to have many cars open for viewing. A worthwhile stop and but not amazing.

Cute little self guided museum with excursions on their restored track throughout the year. Self guided tour with some displays and historical facts. They have a gazebo adjacent to an active track that you can watch trains from.

This was a truly amazing experience. We got a pumpkin and souvenirs. Nice people and clean trains. Just watch for wasp.

Gate open to walk around but everything was locked up. I will have to visit again when in the area.

I love the hang-out-in-the-backyard vibe that The Camp offers. The Camp has several events throughout the week and on the weekends. Some are ticketed and some are FREE. I always bring company here, from out of town.

MidCity has so much to do, I enjoy it each time. I absolutely love The Camp from the music to the mixed crowd, to the drinks to the performances I’ve had a blast every time I’ve gone. Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen food is good as well. Chicken and waffles are a must there. Definitely take the kiddos to Dave and Busters. The food is good and the games are great too! Visit MidCity peeps. I’m so proud of my city for this one!!!

I really love this ramen spot, the food is consistently delicious and keeps me coming back, even if I still don’t quite understand the high pricing. Ramen isn’t usually that expensive or difficult to make, but they’ve managed to jack the price is up like everyone else. The atmosphere is great, clean, cozy, and welcoming. It can get a little crowded during peak hours, but with a bit of patience, you’ll get your food without too much trouble. If you haven’t tried this place yet, I definitely recommend giving it a shot. The food alone is worth it.

Nice little area with lots of restaurants. Easily walkable I do wish there were more retail shops. Parking also should be enforced in the middle lane, all parking in the middle is supposed to back into the space, but all too often larger vehicles pull straight in making it hard for others to exit.

Love the thoughtful and strategic execution of the redevelopment of a mall. Thru public private partnership. This site has become a warm gathering spot focused on people.

Visited the resale shops on the square. One was for Meals on Wheels. Very nicely arranged and fairly priced. I tell ya "ITS THE HUNT" and Dopamine fix!!!

Downtown Huntsville is so beautiful. I loved it. Evening walk in the downtown and big spring park area was amazing. The town is pretty clean and quiet. There wasn't much going on at that time, but my overall experience exploring downtown was great. I highly recommend everyone to get this unique experience of Huntsville downtown.

Beautiful downtown. Definitely going to spend more time there when I come back.

Small free parking lot. Information board and pet waste bags provided. Wonderful hike, mostly in shade, to the top of a small waterfall and cave. You have a slightly steep walk to the bottom of the Falls which i did manage with 2 dogs. We startled a large deer. Beautiful and part of the Northern Alabama Land Trust. A donation box is also located at the parking lot as this is all maintained by volunteers.

The trail can be challenging in a few places if you are unsure about your balance but overall a long hike mostly in the shade. Important to always take a picture of the trail map posted at the parking lot before you start, it can be a very handy tool as you get deep into the woods about which direction to go and which turn to take.

Alum Hollow Trail is excellent and easy to navigate to the main attractions. Ranger and Tallus Trails are treacherous, steep, and very poorly marked (easy to get off trail). Lots of beautiful nature to see, though.

I was amazed that such a beautiful area had been salvaged from the cookie cutter homes and land development I passed on the way in. Great job owners!! I only hiked down to the falls/bluff, but there were plenty of other trails to choose. The trail was rooty, rocky and had some minor ups and downs. The falls were dry with a lot of deadfall across. When you get to the rock steps, go 👇 down, you're at the falls and the bluff is down the rock steps and to your left. Even though weather conditions weren't great, what a beautiful place. The trail was well maintained.The hike was moderate and peaceful. The hardwoods and pine canopy made for a shaded walk. I cannot wait to see this in the 🍁 fall and December!

I love the alum hollow trail! The surrounding trails are also amazing but alum hollow is relatively easy with a very rewarding view at the end. The hardest part is right above the waterfall and cave/overhang. Its very steep and the trail has deteriorated there a bit. The trail head is usually pretty packed and it can be hard to find a spot at times. That shows how good it is. There's a very cool cave at the bottom of talus trail, but that trail is more work so be ready for it!

Beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. I use to love bringing my dog and walking the trail before my auto accident. I can’t get through the trail now in a regular wheelchair but highly recommend visiting this awesome place for anyone and everyone that likes to hike. The covered bridge, outdoor chapel, and old cabin along the trail that circles a massive man made lake are really cool stopping points. There are benches along the path for anyone needing a rest. ***Handicapped access issue to anyone in a wheelchair*** I was here for a family reunion recently at the pavilion. The park staff tends to add excess gravel for the walking path to the pavilion which makes it nearly impossible for anyone in a manual wheelchair to navigate without a lot of extra help. Once I made it to the pavilion and on concrete, I was okay. Oh, and the bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.

My son attends classes at Merrimack and he absolutely LOVES it! Everyone there is so nice and understanding. It's nice to have a place to let your hair down and know that you BELONG!! The performances are written by professional screen writers and they are AWESOME. I highly recommend attending one of their shows as you will be truly entertained!!

Merrimack Hall has been a saving grace for our special needs child. The staff is amazing. Our daughter has made so many friends. She has had social opportunities that she would never otherwise have. She is so excited to get to go to classes and the day program at Merrimack Hall. It has also become a place for parents with similar challenges to share and meet each other. I cannot emphasize enough what a blessing Merrimack Hall has been for our family.

Merrimack Hall has been a God-Sent to us. I drive my Daughter 45 minutes one-way twice per week, because she deserves the BEST. And that’s what Merrimack provides to her. They create the most giving community for each student. Their professionalism, humility and service goes above and beyond. When I drop her off for her sessions, as I drive away, my heart smiles.

Great venue to see small local shows. I got to see a dance performance here. Only 4 stars because they seemed to have lighting and sound issues. Not sure if these were house people or folks from the dance company. Seating was comfortable. Parking can be an issue.

My daughter LOVES Merrimack!!!! The people are so kind and very patient with my girl ❤ I cannot possibly thank them enough for everything they have done and continue to do for my girl!!!!

It’s a space where kids/teens are not only encouraged to express themselves but are embraced exactly as they are. They saw my child as creative, curious, and full of potential. Through storytelling and performance, they empowered her to be confident, compassionate, and courageous, both on stage and in life. Fantasy has made a profound impact on her life and I will forever be grateful. 10 out of 10!

We did a 1 week summer camp here for our 4 year old and she loved it! The staff, including the CEO who was there daily, were absolutely the sweetest with the littles. They truly are invested in bringing arts to Huntsville and making them accessible to all kids.

Myself and my children have been involved in Fantasy's classes, camps, and main stage productions for several years now. We have also attended many of their shows that were not involved in. In my children, I have seen them grow and develop new skills in speaking, movement, decision making, and more. Their confidence has grown. They have learned professionalism and respect. They have made countless friends. They have experienced the disappointment of not getting a role and learning from the journey and they have experienced the excitement of a casting call and feeling on top of the world. They've learned how to handle both gracefully. They have learned how to work hard on days that they are excited about learning their lines, blocking, dance, and music, as well as days that they maybe aren't as excited. They have learned teamwork and trusting in your cast mates. They have learned how to handle issues and conflict. I could go on and on. In myself, I have gained all of the above and more. I have unlocked new skills, been humbled to learn and take direction even in ways that I didn't necessarily think of. We have gained a community of loving people both in the staff and in the other volunteers. I can't say enough about fantasy. No organization is perfect, but what I have seen is an organization run by people who genuinely care. They care about the children, the quality of their classes and shows, and they care about the community. I'm proud to be a part of the fantasy family!

I absolutely love these plays. We saw Dr. Osborne do a magic show. The events they have are always family friendly and inexpensive. We paid $8 a ticket I believe. Well worth it. We bought season tickets because it never disappoints us. They show wonderful plays and you really feel like part of the show.

I grew up attending Fantasy Playhouse and have wonderful memories of it but I just took my daughter and couldn't believe how bad it was. Maybe it was just Alice in Wonderland is a difficult play to pull off well but it was just BAD. I appreciate the ASL for the hearing impaired but having so many people on stage was distracting. I think having one show for the hearing impaired would be better or just having one ASL for the entire show. On top of that I didn't appreciate males playing female roles and vice versa and don't appreciate that pushed on my children. That was really the nail in the coffin for me and I won't be returning with my children for that reason alone.

Fantasy Playhouse Children's Theater performances are engaging and delightful for viewers of all ages! The educational programs and camps are exemplary and led by professional & caring instructors. Our 5 year old daughter had so much fun at summer camp on the first day that she told us she "wanted to hug the whole building!" We've registered her for a second camp session this summer! FPCT is an enriching asset to the Huntsville/Madison County community and North Alabama. Thank you for all that you do!

I loved the Alice in wonderland production! It was amazing and extremely inclusive and protrayed the wonderland aspects perfectly! It was twisty turvey and perfectly nonsensical and everything you could have imagined from wonderland! I can't wait to see what they produce next and I look forward to seeing how they grow as a cast and company! Yall keep doing great 🤗

Absolutely an experience! Had allot of feelings about this place but I can say it was really fun. I won't be going back because of the long horns scratching my car I buffed out what I could but it's not worth getting more. Also the long horns were very aggressive and the horns got a little too close for comfort once coming in the car window about half a foot from my passengers chest. Would love to do it again but the scratches from the long horns is not worth it. All that being said I'm glad I went because it was truly a real up close experience with exotic animals!

Had an awesome time here with the family. The kids loved feeding the animals. We're sorry It took us as long as it did to check this place out. We'd definitely recommend paying them a visit!

I took my daughters and their friend here for the first time and we had an awesome time. I definitely recommend checking it out. We fed the animals and even got to pet a few. With Covid, we weren’t allowed to get out of the car and explore but we still had a great time. The staff was super nice and explained everything when we arrived. I will be visiting again very soon.

We visited the 4/5/21. We’ve always made this a priority stop when traveling because our family always has such a great time and the barrel of laughs that come when the animals put their head in your vehicle. It truly is priceless. However this trip was different. The young lady at the window when entering was rude. EXTREMELY disrespectful and downright rude. If she doesn’t like her job she should find a new one. We were totally bummed about not being able to get out and explore at the end and the animals looked terrible. A lot of them were under weight, missing large patches of hair and some even seemed to weak to even get up and come to our van. We’ve had many years of fun coming here, but afraid this year will have been our last.

So much fun!!! I loved that they let you drive around as many times as you'd like!!! My girls LOVED IT! If you buy food to feed the animals--prepare for your vehicle to get messy... It's all worth the clean out afterwards in my opinion. If you havea sunroof it's easier to feed the giraffe, the camel will take your cup of food, and the ostriches are hilarious eating out of your cup. So fun!!!

Pretty cool place to visit. The animals are used to cars feeding them, so they will swarm your car and if your windows are down they will be all up in your car. Was hoping for more variety of animals, it's mostly deer and emu. There are some variants of cattle, a few miniature horses and a bunch of pigs. There is a giraffe, which is cool, but he stayed pretty close to his pen. The animals with horns/antlers did a great job of minding their closeness to the car. They got super close, but didn't have any issues with them scratching the paint (I was super worried about that.)

Great Experience. If you are looking for a great quarantine friendly activity this is the one. We drove 2 hours and absolutely loved the safari. Price is 10.00 per person over 2 y/o and feed is 1.00 a cup. Bring cash cause they only accept cash or check. The animals are super friendly and very funny. I would recommend getting there early as we did sit in line for about 45 mins just to get in. You are able to go around as many times as you'd like so definitely worth the money.

Amazing!!! It was so much fun! I think a little more emphasis should be placed on what the rules are instead of just being handed a piece of paper. We bought the bucket of food and had a great time! Only thing we would do differently is RENT one of their vehicles! The animals will jump on your car, slobber etc. Renting a car would have been less of a hassle. Also the camel is pretty aggressive so watch out for that.

A bit smaller than expected, and with fewer animal types than we'd hoped. Still a nice time - lots of laughter, squeals of delight, and excitement. We didn't even have any kids with us on this trip yet still had fun. Definitely worth the price, even with slightly expensive animal feed. I mean, how often do you get to interact with llamas / alpacas, exotic deer big & small, cows and bulls with enormously long horns (red, long haired highland cattle & Ankole - Watusi breed)...And many others!?!

Voodoo Lounge Bar & Grill has a great basement vibe with solid drinks that won’t break the bank. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between lively and relaxed, and the band brought some serious energy. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

I've only been to Voodoo twice since I moved to Huntsville and the second time was significantly better! Probably helps that I went for karaoke on a Monday night, instead of being packed in there shoulder-to-shoulder late on a Saturday. Super-cool spot, just a tad claustrophobic, if that kinda thing bothers you.

Great place to go for locals and out-of-towners alike. Can get very noisy and packed quite easily. This can be hard on the bartenders so always remember to give them grace and be understanding. Yes, the place is dark, dirty, and has a certain unpleasant smell. But it’s a dive- it is what it is. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but a lot of folks really love and find enjoyment here. They do serve some pretty yummy bar food which was a nice surprise. Love their phiddle fries and they have really good wings as well. For anyone who wants to know more about the wing flavors- Jacob told me that the Voodoo flavor is very hot and the Zombie flavor is sweet with a little spiciness.

I was in town for a work conference and ventured out on St Patrick’s day to try some local bars. Stumbled by this place just walking around. This place is what you would expect for a dive bar. Cold, cheap drinks and great service!! Honestly the service was incredible. Super chill and friendly staff. There was live acoustic music but wasn’t too loud so you could have a conversation with friends. Got some fried bar food which was also good. If I’m ever back in town, definitely will come here!

Went by per a few locals recommendations and wasn't disappointed.... Definitely crowded but manageable.... Live music was great and a few steps out the door was downtown sights as pictured! Will stop in again soon!

Chill vibes, great karaoke. Drinks were a little on the expensive side however. $16 for two Corona's is steep to me. Just saying. Karaoke was fun.

Crew displaye clear preference to patrons who expressed a preference to the current administration, truly discussing. Will never subject myself to such a disgusting attitude, which lead to the staff assaulting me later on the alley as documented.

Very spacious building. Ample tree covered parking. Drive thru book drop is at the front entrance to the building. Very helpful pleasant employees. Small kids play area. Quite a dew events and activities..too many to list..but worth checking them out. You can even get free legal help. SO many services available to the public. Do consider supporting and visiting your local library....they are all amazing. Only downside was seeing homeless folks just wandering around. They need help and I hope the admin is looking into how to get them assistance so they are not being disruptive to library guests.

The library is supposed to be a quiet place to do work or read. The employees in the room behind the desk were being extremely loud and distracting, nobody said anything to them to be quiet. Rrply to the library response: This review is for the one in madison, and to reply to your response....yes there are quiet areas at this particular library if they arent full which yesterday they were.

Thank you Huntsville library for being available for everyone. It is such a beautiful building and has wonderful and kind staff. I lived here in 2004 and would come so often, now that I am back I am so grateful for the library again. The books are organized great, lots of large print books of a variety of authors for people sight impartial as myself. I am going to be back soon as I finish my 4 I checked out today. 📚

Jessica who answered the phone was rude and dismissive, I’m not sure why she’s in outreach, a position that requires people skills. Working with youth centers and nonprofits we were taken aback by her nasty attitude. When we requested additional information she huffed and puffed as if we called her personal cell phone. Very disappointing.

It's been a while since I've visited such a big and awesome library! Close to downtown Huntsville. Pros: - Centrally located - Good. Parking - Plenty of different sitting environments - Internet Access - Quiet and very little noise or distractions Cons: - Very slow Internet Access. Almost useless!

Madison County is one of the very best libraries I have ever been in. And I have lived in the library since I was a child.

It was a great visit! Spent hours walking around. The kids had an unexpected surprise as we had no idea they had a few rides to get on! Some attractions cost extra. Thankful that they had wheel chair accessibility and a place to get food too!

What a fantastic place, superb displays, lots to do and some very informative exhibits. There are many things that would appeal to those interested in history, as well as numerous exhibits that allow you to admire the achievements of the US space program. The planetarium and the National Geographic theater also add to the enjoyment of the day. Even the photographs taken on entry were worth buying, something that can't be said for most attractions you visit.

Great and extremely educative environment for the upcoming kids. Definitely this place will provide more insights on how you see the Astronomical world and there are rich informative placards are kept under each display. The tickets prices vary depending on your preference if just the visit of the center is one price and if clubbed with Planetarium shows then we need to pay slightly more. They have some ticket discounts for AAA members too. There are many interesting experimental things which would explain you the concept behind it. They have a good cafeteria and the center ends with wonderful Gift shop. Must visit for kids above 5T because they will easily understand and relate to many things which are seen in the center.

Museum is amazing. But I don't recomend to buy anything from gift shop. They scamed me on magnet... I was assured magnet was placed inside a mug but later at home I found out there is nothing inside...

Great roadside attraction. We enjoyed placing bananas to pay homage. Cool side trip easily seen even without entry to the rocket center.

Great tribute to the first American in space.

Most likely the most famous monkey in history, being the first western creature to leave earth is remembered in a fabulous way. Very kind people that leave bananas every once in a while. A must see for people with interest in early space history.

We really enjoyed city park... it looks pretty well maintained & nice scenery... enjoyed walking the grounds around the lake filled with Koi, Carp & Gold fish & the various restaurants located around the park in addition to The Huntsville Museum of Arts are very close... we visited Pane E Vino Pizzeria located on one corner of same building as the Museum the entrance access is separate entrance from Museum though... anyway this place was worth a visit as well with great pizza ... inside/outside seating is offered as well...

Awesome park smack dab in the heart of downtown Huntsville. Cool place to chill and at night, the colors really come alive. It's pretty cool, Gives very relaxed vibes also within walking distance of pretty much all the restaurants and the von Braun center so its convenient.

I took my fur baby to Big Spring Park for our morning walk on Saturday morning. It is a very nice place and very quiet. The spring is nicely kept. Duck, geese, and fish are abundant. Very picturesque.

Beautiful park, finally had the opportunity to walk in the park. Next time I'll be sure to bring quarters to get fish food and duck out of the machines so I can feed the fish and ducks.

The park itself is nice. Often times there are too many people inside at once which leads to a large pool that has zero room. The lifeguards blow whistles every 2 mins with little to no direction. They had to jump in to save someone today all because they allowed too many people to jump off diving board at one time and the person had to wait in deep end while others were using same ladder. If you catch it on a slower day it’s great. Bring water shoes. The walk to rides is brutal on feet in the heat.

My fiance and I took our kids and neice yesterday! We had a blast on the slides and in the pools. The pizza was pretty good too. Fun for all ages!

First timer….very happy with the slow river ride…all the areas of water covered every age group and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the whole experience…would recommend highly!!

Our family had the best day here! Reasonable pricing, military & veteran discounts. Water fun for ALL ages. Wasn't overcrowded and the lifeguards were extremely helpful and watchful of all the children. We will definitely be coming back.

Ah yes, the privilege of paying nearly $100 for three people — so you can be treated like you’re trying to sneak contraband into Fort Knox. Bag check? Not once, but twice! Because nothing says “welcome” like assuming your guests are criminals. And don’t worry, they keep the payment rules a fun little mystery. They could tell you upfront that they don’t take all forms of payment… but where’s the suspense in that? It’s way more fun to spring it on you while you’re standing at the window ready to pay. As for the lazy river, remember when it was actually relaxing? Now it’s an obstacle course of filth, feathers, and random debris — like a nature documentary on polluted waterways, but with admission fees. This place used to be worth visiting. Now it’s overpriced, poorly maintained, and running on nostalgia fumes. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to waste your money.

Honestly would have been a five star review if it wasn't for our waiter. The hostess was super friendly and so were some of the other staff members. I guess we got a server that was having a bad day or something. His attitude the whole time was quite rude. I get he doesn't have to radiate positivity or anything but he was just down right dismissive talking to us. He did however get the food to our table so it wasn't COMPLETELY terrible service. Being a waitress myself I can never imagine approaching my tables the way he does. The food however was amazing. I got the viagra roll and crunchy shrimp roll along with a miso soup. Miso soup was steamy, fresh, and flavorful. The sushi was probably the best sushi I've had in a long time. Eel sauce was yum and the shrimp inside was perfect and had a good crunch. My friend got the gyoza and California roll and she loved hers as well. Our server brought our checks as soon as possible, almost felt like he just didn't want to deal with us anymore. Not sure if he just thought we wouldn't tip because we're younger or what. We paid and my friend needed a box, but he ran off before she could ask and we had to wait and attempt to stop him a few times before he finally brought it. I still love I love Sushi nonetheless and would recommend it to everyone. Usually the service is much better than this so I won't hold it against them.

We loved our random experience here. Very good sushi options as well as other entree choices. Super friendly service...but our favorite part was the random music playing which was just off brand enough to be quirky!

Restaurant management take note: Mary Ann is a gem! She recommended the most delicious entree (wow roll and pork belly ramen, with salmon belly nigiri) all of which blew me away. The black rice on the wow roll, oh wow—it was so savory, it was almost sweet—like caviar, you could spread it on a cracker with some wine. The pork belly ramen, absolutely delicious with a surprise sriracha-like spice, from a red pepper in the broth. And to top it off, who knew salmon belly would be so incredible? One piece of nigiri with lemon juice and one without, both had such complex flavors—sweetness and acidity from the fish playing with the savoriness of the rice. Absolutely delightful. Thank you Mary Ann for a wonderful evening before a movie!

So I used to absolutely love this restraunt so I went last night after many years. I will say the quality of food is not the same. I was very disappointed 😞

This was my first time at this restaurant. Because of the rise in Covid-19 cases, we ordered online for pickup. I really wanted to try the sushi but felt in order for me to really enjoy it I needed to dine in. So, I opted for the dinner combination of Salmon Teriyaki with fried rice and Gyoza. Our food was ready by the time we got there to pick it up which wasn't too long so that was a plus. The restaurant appeared to be busy with lots of patrons coming in and going out. The hostess was very friendly despite being very busy. The only issue was that we selected the fried rice instead of the steamed rice (there's a $3 upcharge). While they correctly substituted it, there system didn't charge us the upharge fee so we had an additional balance upon arrival. It's understandable, but be aware of this. The gyoza was delicious, but surprisingly, for me, the fried rice with the vegetables was amazing. The salmon teriyaki had a great tasting sauce but it was just okay. Also, the portion sizes of the food was more than enough. I had leftovers for lunch. I saw pics of the sushi online and I can't wait to come back to try it.

The ABSOLUTE BEST Veterans memorial I've have ever seen before. This was an amazing stop on my travels through Alabama. The amount of water and the waterfall fountain was amazing and very relaxing. Enjoyed reading everything that was documented as well. The bronze castings were spot on. Something of this size and magnitude really gives credit where credit is due.

This is a very educational memorial with a nice paved walk and water features honoring everyone who has served. The walk itself is quite short, but if you stop to read all the signs and plaques, you can be there quite a while.

We had been wanting to stop at this place and visit for awhile now. We never see any cars here, so we weren’t expecting much. We quickly found that this place is amazing. We didn’t expect to be so big, but the memorial just kept going and going. It eventually leads to the Huntsville Depot Museum, if you want to check out some old train cars and steam engines or if you want to keep walking it leads to the Gateway Greenway walk path. This is one of the best memorials I have seen outside of DC. I highly recommend you visit. *I threw in a couple pictures from the Huntsville Depot Museum that’s located at the end of the memorial.

The Huntsville/Madison County Veterans Memorial is a beautiful space dedicated to ALL veterans. It is sacred ground where all are brothers and sisters equally. All that come here honor our vets simply by being present and noting the sacrifice of many and the patriotism of all. I see it as the official entry to the downtown area. At first glance, you see the free parking directly in front of the Memorial, but don't be fooled, as it is a meandering trail that carries you deeper into a treed spaces of history.

Just Happened to be driving by this park & the memorial caught my eye... couldn't help but to stop & enjoy the memorial for just a little while...

The baseball fields here need some work. The city really could put a few more dollars into this area to get the dirt and grass better for the kids. Even some signs to show you where the fields are would be great.

My favorite baseball park. I dislike the fa t though that the parking lot just left of the entryway has no direct access to that field there. This summer I also don't see any signs along the path to tell you if you are headed towards the right number fields. Next time leave those up.

Girls Softball Tournaments played at Palmer Park today with temperatures reaching well over 100 degrees. These girls of all ages from 6 years old and up. My understanding they play pool games then brackets Gold and Silver are determined after reviewing the teams stats and games.During the championship games were being played the alarms started sounding with lighting detected. Everyone was asked to vacate the fields for safety reasons and this was done an orderly fashion with one thing in mind, safety for all. It started raining. Fields were very wet with water standing. Decision was made to cancel games due to so much rain and the fields too wet. Finish the championship games on Sunday. Upon another decision was made to not finish the tournament and just give out the rings to those ended up top of two brackets. This is where I would like for the decision made to be explained to these Girls who came together as a team and played their hearts out and then to the parents and grandparents. Four teams advanced to the Championship games with two teams in the Gold Bracket and two teams in the Silver Bracket (Not the Loosers bracket). I have been involved with my children and grandchildren for many years in All-Stars and Travel Ball which takes alot of practices, time, money, referees, the men, women and young people who take time to supply and work the concession stand, to keep the park clean and most the coaches, parents for everyone to enjoy the number goal for the Children. They love the game. The hard work, friendships made, how much they have learned and so much more with their goal is to win and get that ring. To my knowledge all games are to be played, completed then there would be the two Championship games that consists of two teams that are placed in a Gold Bracket and two teams in a Silver Bracket. Games are played and final their is a 1st place Champion and 2nd place or Runner of each bracket. There is always four boxes of rings of which is what these girls play for and they are going to get a bling, bling ring and they go out on the fields and all are acknowledged with hearing their name called and run to their coach to be given that little bag with that ring in it. 4 teams, one Gold bracket with Champion and Runner up, 1st and 2nd place and one Silver bracket with Champion and Runner up, 1st and 2nd Place. Again to hear Their names being called out and acknowledged through the dirt stains on their uniforms, sweating, and beads under their necks and fun, fun, fun. And their parents, grandparents, coaches see those girls so happy, grins all over their faces. In light of all this that should have happened but a decision was made to give Rings out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place only. My granddaughter and each and every one of those girls played their hearts out with such zeal and with so much excitement knowing she was going to get a ring. It did not matter Gold, Silver, 1st or 2nd that at the end of the day 4 teams, 4 groups of little girls were going to get a blingy ring instead my little granddaughter walked back to the car with eyes red, upset and crying, "Momo, we didn't get a ring. Again, I do not understand how this decision was made to award a 1st place, a 2nd place and a 3rd place with at the end of the day when their were two brackets, one Gold and one Silver, four teams, 1st and 2nd place for each bracket. Again, please explain this to me so I can explain to my granddaughter with tears streaming down her face why these girls did not get a ring for their achievement. Upset Grandmother.

Soccer fields are pretty torn up. The bathrooms are not open on Sunday. There is a porta potty near field two.

Great Play ground. I wish they would expand it a bit more. But it is a nice park.

Excellent sports park. Restrooms and snack bar available in each of the ballparks.

Fun place to take kids and cool off at the splash pad area. It's not very big, but it's nice and in a great location with Earlyworks right around the corner. There's plenty of shade, too!

So thankful to have this available downtown! My only complaint is that there should be a gate by the stairs, since they empty out near the road.

A very nice area for families with young children. In summer, bring a towel so that the kids can dry off after playing in the splash fountain. Adults have a fully shaded area to watch the kids play.

Very pretty and most children enjoy it during the warmer weather. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the extraordinary amount of mosquitoes there. I've never been in proximity to the fountain and avoided getting bitten.

Curbside parking so I could see it being difficult to park if it's busy. Not very big but the kids who were there had fun. Bring some type of container like a cup or bucket. The kids were using old plastic bottles and filling them up and having a great time doing it. There's also a time capsule in the park.

I took my 3-yr-old grandson to the Children's Fountain (which is a bit like a splash pad). He loved it. There is a beautiful wisteria-covered pergola coming off the Children's Fountain with park benches underneath offering complete shade.

I have been going to The Camp for a while now. I first met Emily Joseph & her band at The Camp and immediately loved the atmosphere. Such a great spot! My dogs love it there too! Very pet friendly, I recently had my daughter’s 21st birthday there on the night of Oct 4th, and it was the best night ever! Jordyn, Evan and the bar staff were so attentive to my daughter! They went out of their way to make my daughter’s night unforgettable! From beginning to end, we had exceptional service. The nachos are my favorite and my daughter loves the chicken tenders & fries. The laid back, come as you are atmosphere, coupled with great music, fun & even space to watch the game will have you feeling like there is no where else you need to be! The. Camp is probably the best spot in HSV! It’s a total vibe!

This was a cool experience, there is the big farmers market going out right outside and then they were doing a cooking demonstration and serving food inside. The bar area is gorgeous and the seating is really interesting. The food wasn’t super great, but the atmosphere made up for it.

Great atmosphere, food and service. There was a live band playing when we arrived. Ordering food was super easy; just sit down at a table, scan the QR and order. Food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. After the band's set was over they still played a good assortment of music and nobody rushed us as closing approached. I took 3 children with, so it's family friendly but you could also enjoy a date here. Highly recommend.

The Camp is such a fun and unique spot in Huntsville! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming — perfect for families, date nights, or just hanging out with friends. There’s always something going on, from live music and good food to cozy fire pits and a relaxed outdoor vibe. My kids had a blast, and we all loved the variety of food and drinks. It’s definitely one of our favorite places to unwind and enjoy the Huntsville community!

Supper adorable tea and coffee shop, both I and my husband enjoy the coffee! The inside was clean and cozy, and the baristas were really kind and helpful.

Tea was really good...coffee could have been better but not bad. (Definitely better quality than a lot of places I've been. Was just expecting something unique with the coffee & was more happy with the tea.) Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere and fun menu selections as well as funky mixture of loose leaf tea varieties. Parking is not great at this location.

A wonderful little shop for delicious crisp tea and quiet enough to read a nice book. ♡ Also, I advise purchasing a large mason jar, that way in the future it'll save you a few bucks!

Sparkling tea was amazing!! The manager of the tea house was so sweet and offered us some samples. We have been trying them now that we are home from our travels. I have new favorites that will replace what used to be my go to list. Strawberry, chocolate and birthday cake top the list so far!

Downtown Huntsville came alive this morning when I attended the daytime food tour hosted by Scene That Tours! My friends and I were escorted along a walking food trail by STT owner Denise Swain, stopping at five local spots to enjoy a signature food item or drink. Denise has blended Huntsville's rich history with the best of the Huntsville food scene to bring a unique way to experience Huntsvilles history, food, and culture. Denise is a captivating storyteller. Whenever she stopped at a corner I had driven past so often, she'd tell a story that left me saying, "Wow! I'll never look at that the same way again!" Denise becomes an instant friend, and you'll want to take her home with you just to keep those stories coming! I can't wait to attend her seven other tours and hear more stories! I highly recommend gathering friends or family to take one of her tours; they're worth every penny for a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience.

😱BEAUTIFUL!,Just.Simply BEAUTIFUL! I'm from Florida,and you don't see these kind of sights! And hiking trails are spectacular, on the particular day we went there was quite heavy fog just about everywhere! And they have little county store there where you can get snacks & juice/soda Oh Yhea, and there are cabins you can rent for a day or week, stay as long as you want to?? NO, idk how long you can stay? I wish I lived up there😢 But we had a MORE than GREAT DAY!

In Summer 2021 we had a $5 entry fee per person. We found this to be quite reasonable. We noticed there were bbqs and promised ourselves to bbq next year on our summer vacation. Views were breathtaking. Our hikes felt like a hug from a Mother Nature. The hikes stated at 1.2 miles and it goes quickly due to the beauty of the hike. Hikes are excellently titles with arrows labeled throughout the hike. Wear tennis shoes at a minimum and my husband recommended wearing pants so as not to get scratched by shrubs etc. Our hike at Monte Sano was a very fond memory of our vacation. The lookout will not disappoint. We felt very welcomed by the folks at the entrance gate. We hope to rent cabins neat summer starting at $115 with a two night minimum under certain conditions.

On a beatiful spring day I arrived Monte Sano park. ($5/person) At the visitor center, on the the top of the north plateau, I got a map of the main hiking trails. I chose an easy 1.2 mile loop trail around the the top edges of the North Plateau. It had several outstanding senic overlooks to the surrounding mountains and valleys. Trail was well marked. Started at 1600 feet, dropped to 1500, and climbed back up to 1600, fairly flat but 100 ft elevation change. Did not hurry. Stopped from time to time to take vista photos. Noteable waterfall, with opportunity to climb down it a bit. Arrived back to starting place parking lot in 70 minutes. Excellent experience and great photos. No mosquitos, no ticks.

A really beautiful location to hold your wedding or to have a nice picnic with your family. Such a relaxing place. I definitely recommend taking a break from your day to take a walk on Monte Sano!

Hiking Trails access from Toll Gate Road

July 5, 2021 absolutely crammed pack with people and multiple children and dogs. I had my dog with me and was hoping for a peaceful leisurely hike. The trails are so narrow that social distancing was not possible. I hadn't been there for over 20 years. It has really changed and now you have to pay a fee to even get in. I want be back ever again. You go and see for yourself. Just a bag full of deporables!!!

The only reason I took away a star is because there is some things that will be harder for little kids or younger kids, like toddlers, or anywhere from eight and under it might be complicated but otherwise, this was a really good hunt to do with my friends and family And it’s a reasonable price
