We visited House Cafe in Ortaköy for breakfast and had a pleasant experience. The staff was accommodating and secured us a lovely table by the sea. The restaurant is spacious, offering various seating options. There are cozy tables for two near the shore for coffee, and ample indoor and outdoor seating for lunch and dinner. We ordered scrambled eggs, a rocca pizza, quinoa salad with avocado, and a chicken wrap. While the atmosphere was enjoyable, the prices felt a bit high relative to the quality of the food. The scrambled eggs lacked seasoning, the rocca pizza had a delightful Italian-style dough, but the salad could have used more dressing to enhance its flavor. The chicken wrap was overwhelmed with radish sauce and contained too many lettuce , while the grilled chicken portion was on the smaller side. Our total bill was 3,380 TL, including service. Overall, it's a nice spot located next to the cruise ship station.

The place is in an amazing location. Right next to the bosphorus, to the extent that you can feed the seagulls with your food. But that's about it. We were here for a breakfast. The food is not really something, the service is quite poor with the inexperienced waiters and the prices are absurdly high, like two filter coffees would equal a breakfast dish. Kind of a "nice for tourists" place.

The restaurant is absolutely amazing! The location is perfect, the service is wonderful, and everything about this place is just outstanding. The wait staff seemed quite cold and unwelcoming — no smiles or warmth, and their expressions came across as rather grumpy and disengaged. It would make a big difference if they were friendlier and more approachable.

Very aggressive waiters asking for tips. The bill has a 12% automatic gratuity on that but despite that the waiters ask for tips. Management should make it a policy that waiters are not allowed to ask for tips. At times They tell you the credit card machine is not working and then ask you to pay in cash They also will ask for tips even after me pointing out that there is a service charge added to the bill already. They say the service charge is for the kitchen staff. Food was burnt and did not taste good and also was served cold. Only good thing is the atmosphere and views If you ask for butter with the bread they serve, they charge for that too but only tell you afterwards. Been here a few times, but this is the last time im coming. There are Much better places to eat at which are also much cheaper. I like places With no games when it comes time to pay the bill.

While searching for a place to have breakfast in Ortaköy, we came across The House Café. The breakfast was diverse and very delicious, the service was fast, and the highlight of the place is its stunning view over the Bosphorus, absolutely breathtaking.

All is nice. We enjoyed our dinner. Lovely Nepal lady was really really friendly. The mango lassi served in the first place had a spicy after taste. I thought that’s Istanbul recèpe. 🤣 After I asked her, she kept saying sorry while laughing 😆 the spice remained in the blender though washed with hot water. She changed one for us immediately. Fried noodle was nice though a bit salty for me. Green curry was good as well. Portion is also decent. Place is cozy. On the 2nd floor, with plants in the balcony. Good choice for Asia who want something from the far east after lots of kebabs

Guys, do not hesitate- go here!! We had an absolutely amazing experience at Thai Nepal. We were shocked at how authentic tasting the Thai food was, and how deliciously mouthwatering the momos were. The flavours were truly exploding in our mouth 🤤🤤 Our server was so sweet and attentive, and the vibe of the restaurant was so cute. The food was very well presented as well. This restaurant is truly a gem in the area. If you’re in the area make it a point to visit- you will not be disappointed!

The place is located in a quiet alley near the noisy Istiklal Street. I have been looking for a good Pad Thai in Istanbul for a long time and finally found a place where it is the same as in Thailand. Very very tasty, huge portion)). We sat on the balcony, everything is clean, neat, flowers are all around. A nice girl from Myanmar brought everything to us quickly. Definitely we will come again or order home, it is very close to us

A delightful little find for a change from traditional Turkish cuisine. Located on the second floor of a hidden building on a side street just off the main road, this place serves Thai and Nepalese food, along with some other options. The staff were friendly, the environment was simple but pleasant, and the food was good.

The food was delicious and affordable, everything on the menu looks good. We shared the chicken chowmin and the fried chicken momo and the portions were very filling. Definitely go here you will not be disappointed!

One of my favorite Indonesian restaurants in Istanbul. The food is delicious, packed with authentic flavors that hit just right. The staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. I would say that Urip Indonesian Restaurant is one of the best! It really cured my longing for Indonesian food. Their sambal is super delicious and definitely the highlight. You guys really have to try it if you’re ever in Istanbul — the portions are big, and the prices are just right! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My friend and I tried bebek madura, mie ayam bakso, and nasi padang here. All is great but we agree that bebek madura is the real star. We also had refreshing es cendol that suits Istanbul’s heat perfectly. The taste is perfect, service’s great, vibe’s good. Definitely a must-go Indonesian restaurant when you are in Istanbul!

I had been planning to visit this place for a while, and finally had the chance to try their manti. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations; the minced meat was bland, and the sauce poured over the yogurt lacked flavor, resulting in an ordinary manti experience. The price is also high for the quality. I don’t think I would come back or recommend it to others.

The menu of this restaurant pays homage to manti, small meat ravioli seasoned with a yogurt sauce to be paired with one of the spices of your choice on the table. I really appreciated being able to pick my portion size, choosing between half, regular, 1.5 and double. They're all very generous! Manti are delicious and the meat filling is tender and flavorful. They're different from the Italian ravioli I'm used to, but they're definitely an interesting alternative.

This wasn’t a meal. This was a gastrointestinal ambush. The “meat” börek had less meat than a vegan’s conscience. A dry pastry with a hint of sadness inside. Then came the mantı… that sauce? Fermented despair. It tasted like expired yogurt mixed with sour butter and personal regret. End result? My girlfriend and I spent more time on the toilet than in our chairs. Headache, stomach cramps, nausea — like a food poisoning speedrun. Do not eat here. Save yourself the trauma. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place — although now I’m considering it.

As a Turkish person mantı is definitely my favourite food, and this place was in my bucket list for a long time. Amount of mantı I got was unbeliviable for the price I paid. (I got 1.5 portion and I couldn't even finish it) If you are in Kadıköy and wondering what to eat this place is definitely recommended.

Friendly little street food restaurant in an alley. The neighborhood is quirky, close to the touristic areas but it feels unique. The place is welcoming, the menu has great selection and variety. The food is generous and well seasoned. The prices are fair. Happy to be here.

Had breakfast and tried their fried manti which I’ve been wanting to do the whole time during our trip in Istanbul. I am SO HAPPY we chose to come to Mr. Dumpling the breakfast was great and manti was also delicious. Would HIGHLY recommend. BONUS- the staff is super accommodating and friendly. Will visit again on our next trip!

They don't hide the ball: if you want dumplings, this is your spot!. The portions are HUGE - far larger than one person can eat alone. It is best to go here with a small group and try various types. I opted for the traditional Turkish manti, and I was not disappointed. They were absolutely delicious, especially with all three of the additional sauces they give you.

I’m so happy i found this place! It has soooo many veggie and vegan options, so i didn’t feel like i missed out on anything. The upstairs dining room is extra fancy as well. I loved it here so much that i came for lunch and dinner!! Hahaha. Because It had so many vegan options, i wanted to try more! And special thanks to Mansun, who was very patient and friendly when waiting on us! I highly recommend this spot to vegans and vegetarians. And my meat eating friends loved the meat dumplings as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed this meal, ordered the classic manti. Had three choices of sauces to pour over the yougurt. Garlicky, pesto or a red pepper spice drenched with olive oil. The area is lovely in sirkeci and very lively and the staff was welcoming, The food was also plentiful! Will visit again.

Now that I'm not I'm not living in Turkey I have realized the value of this place since I've been abroad every time I come back to Turkey I sit down on this place and eat a big of Mantı. Authentic Manti (Turkish dumplings) place. Food is delicious, service is fast and waiters are really kind and helpful. They only have fried and boiled manti in their menu with a couple of sides and a dessert but it is definitely worth trying their Manti. Restaurant feels like old day Istanbul restaurants. Nothing fancy but beautiful.

This restaurant is random found in Istanbul street and for a quick stop, not too bad, but not five stars as mine previous choices. Beautiful small family run restaurant with amazing food! Located upstairs with a view out onto the main street. We especially loved the eggplant stuffed with mince, the vine leaf wraps and the zucchini fritters. Looks like they did take away too, a must visit if you’re on the Anatolian side

Came here in July while exploring the Asian side. After being in Turkey for 3 weeks, this is BEST Turkish food I have had. The stuffed eggplant with minced meat, Köfte and rice (was slightly spice and I loved it) were the extremely delicious. I took only half of the portion cos I wanna try both. I can feel the love that their mother put in making those food. The Turkish ice tea was delicious too!

My favorite meal in Istanbul! Very health options and the most flavor of any food I’ve had here. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. The beats, artichoke hearts and stuffed grape leaves were to die for.

There is a small and local kitchen that has the best homemade turkish food. There isnt a menu and they put a portion of every food on table, you can see and choose. We ordered dolma and artichoke and they were great! They were so welcome and lovely. I strongly recommend this place.

We found this place in maps and it seemed cool, when we arrived we immediately understood that this would have been an incredible lunch, the place looked like your home's kitchen. The formula is very simple: they show you what has been prepared and you choose what you want to eat like in a real turkish lokanta. We opted for rice and beef sarma, zucchini fritters, stuffed eggplant, manti and meatballs. Sarma, zucchini fritters and meatballs were extremely good. This was our first time trying manti and they surprised us, despite being pretty sour because of the yogurt we loved them but the real star of the show was the stuffed eggplant. This was extremely savory yet delicate, the eggplant was cooked to perfection and had a soft and wrapping. The real cherry on the cake's top was the staff: they have been extremely welcoming and explained us each plate trying to give us the best experience (and they did it!!). Thank you again guys. Best meal we had in Istanbul! A must go place if you are in Istanbul

Magnificent food served by a very passionate owner whose been cooking Turkish food for over 20 years. He recommended I try the yoghurt tantuni special it absolutely blew my mind! The combination of parsley, pasty, meat and yoghurt was pure magic. I can’t wait until tomorrow I’m coming back for breakfast. The whole meal cost me 21 lira with a drink. He even gave me a coffee and tea for free, that was very unexpected and I felt very honored! #BeatTheGrind

I didnt know what to order and they suggested Yogurtlu Tavuk (chicken) Tantuni. OMG! It was delicious and price is so good too. It comes with beef too...

Tantuni is good but it could use more meat. The wrap felt like it barely had few strands of meat in it. Also did not want to take credit card.

I tried simple tantuni with bread and ayran, it was very tasty. Tantuni was for 15 TL and Ayran for 4 TL. And servixe also was nice
