Outdoor Activities
Playa de San Lorenzo is a popular beach in Gijon, offering a mile-long sandy expanse for activities like surfing, swimming, and sunbathing. The beach features a 4 km long promenade known as el Muro, leading to city amenities and notable landmarks such as the Tourist Office and the Escalerona. Visitors can also explore artistic sculptures like Sombras de Luz and monuments like the Reloj de Sol and la Madre del Emigrante.
A beautiful beach! My husband and I had a few hours before our flight and stumbled onto this beach for a stroll: nice promenade along the beach for those who may want to keep their feet off the sand; big sand beach and great views.
Victoria C — Google review
The water feels quite cold, and the sand near the shoreline is firm and compact due to the moisture. There are plenty of surfers out enjoying the waves, as well as several people paddleboarding nearby.
Serdar A — Google review
I heard that St. Lorenzo Beach in Gijon is the busiest beach in Asturias and I am guessing is on summer time. The beach is really long and beautiful with golden sand and high waves. You can see many people playing sand sports, specially surfing since early morning every day from all the surf schools along the boulevard. It is amazing and very relaxing!!
Maria F — Google review
Gijón and the region of Asturias are beautiful and extremely green and lush, unlike most of Spain. Playa de San Lorenzo is definitely the city's centerpiece and for good reason. There's a nice promenade if you don't want to actually go down to the beach and a large sandy beach if you do. The water was very clean.
Jennifer S — Google review
Nice beach in front of the city. Monitor tide, as the beach can be covered almost entirely by water at times, while during low tide there is lots of space available. You can also rent surf boards In surf schools nearby.
Fabio B — Google review
Beautiful city beach, great for a relaxing stroll or just chilling, and you are almost certainly guaranteed a lungful of P10 particles or some other pollutants from the very nearby industrial zone. A shame, but hey, who's gonna do anything about it? Certainly not the local politicians..... Visit Chernobyl instead

Nestled just 2.5 kilometers east of the bustling Plaza Mayor in Gijon, the Museum of the Asturian People is a captivating destination for anyone eager to delve into traditional Asturian culture. This museum showcases an array of fascinating exhibits that highlight local heritage, including displays on bagpipes, regional cuisine, and elegant 19th-century silk dance-party dresses.
An absolute wonderful experience. The complex by itself is a pretty place to just walk in and to look at the wonderful buildings. I strongly recommend that if visiting to go and see the cameras and bagpipes sections.
Alon Z — Google review
Really interesting place to visit, free entry. A shame we didn't get to see all of it, but we had to move on. We will come back.
Chris B — Google review
What a super museum! Well presented, with additional temporary exhibits. Really enjoyed strolling around the site. Free entrance. Highly recommended.

Excellent place to visit in Gijon good information and very interesting displays We liked the Gaite museum with bagpipes from lots of other countries, nice gardens to walk around and a 3 D display to view. Thank you to the staff all helpful and Roberto for our introduction well done 👏👏👍gracias Free entry

A wonderful museum where you can leisurely stroll from pavilion to pavilion and discover something new each time. I was very impressed by the exhibitions on corn, bagpipes, and Asturian women's corsets. The exhibits are thoughtfully selected, presented, and described - it’s clear that a huge amount of research went into them. I highly recommend it if you’re interested in rural, industrial, and coastal Asturias. And of course, the amazing 3D photographs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries of the very places that are still interesting to walk around today provide a beautiful finale to the visit, accompanied by soulful music!
Frau I — Google review
A very interesting museum with old buildings and objects from the past. It gave a real sense of how tough rural life was. It was reminiscent of St Fagan's Museum in Wales on a much smaller scale. An excellent exhibition of bagpipes, from around the world, as well as Asturias. The staff were helpful and friendly. Even better, it was all free.
Mark L — Google review
Wow…what a local culture history treat! The out buildings and World Unesco Heritage designation for Asturias Cidre…you see and sense why in one of the old buildings…its something mechanically ancient cool! By far the strongest of the museum exhibits for me came at the end and I nearly missed it. The 3D photo exhibit. This is no AI 3D gaming simulation flash in the ocular-philic pan, no this exhibit for me was so much more. Connecting to their unique past, all around Asturias, in a way that was totally unexpected, quietly intimate and re-connecting. Who would have thought black and whites could carry such weight? A recommend and nod to the old old ways of cerebral cortex image capture. A Lovely free museum in Gijón!
Harvey W — Google review
Very decent. Having that it is an open museum, it was really a calm visit whilst the place quite displays the authenticity of the Asturian live hood until 19th century. Also having this for free was really surprising.

Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura, a grand university campus built in the 1950s, is located about 3 kilometers away from the city. Despite falling into disrepair by the 1990s, it has been transformed into a vibrant art and education center that houses part of Oviedo University. The campus features a magnificent 1,500-seater theater, an impressive main courtyard, and beautiful gardens to explore.
Very nice building, largest in Spain. In the past was a monastery and a place for orphans

Enormous building, quite interesting to imagine the past time during the Franco regime

Vast and vastly impressive building Myself and a friend visited on a weekday in August after visiting Jardin Botanico Atlantico across the road. Free entry. Fantastic architecture and on a huge scale. Tourist information centre, cafe-restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating, garden areas. Toilets, vending machines (cash only). Pre-booked trips up clock tower (€2.50pp).
Jon — Google review
Spectacular building and we could watch a great performance inside.
Olga S — Google review
Lots of it... but not much going on! (July) Some Franciost flavour to the architecture and symbolism - many elements look like a hybrid of a concentration camp, an austere monastery, and an oversized oxbridge college. Hopefully the local council or owner will figure out a great use for it...
David R — Google review
Very impressive architecture, building is huge, and to say it was originally built as an orphanage beggars belief. It's a must visit if you are in the area and it's that large that it doesn't appear to get busy.
Mark S — Google review
Amazing venue for an event. We saw The Offspring play here during a Rock Festival and it was absolutely amazing all the singers from the US couldn't believe the luck they had in playing at such an incredible place! Gorgeous

We just walked around the building, but we didn't go inside. However, the building is worth a visit, if only for its architecture and gardens. As an added bonus, the Gijon Botanical Garden is right next door.

Sidrería Tierra Astur Poniente is a renowned establishment in Gijon, highly favored by locals and travelers alike. While some may emphasize its focus on quantity and affordable prices over quality, it remains a popular choice for those seeking traditional dishes in a unique setting. However, there are alternative dining options in Gijon that offer better value for the same price.
A traditional cider house with a really charming and authentic vibe. The interior is unique, with decorative cider bottles hanging from the ceiling and even seating areas built into giant barrels — perfect for groups. The place was packed when we arrived, and since we didn’t have a reservation, we were told the wait would be around 30 minutes. While waiting, you’re invited to the bar where you can enjoy drinks (including their amazing cider) and tapas, which really made time fly. Once your table is ready, they call your name. The menu is extensive, with lots of tempting pictures, and the food and service were both excellent.
Angie P — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting Sidrería Tierra Astur and it was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere of the place is warm, lively, and uniquely Asturian, capturing the spirit of the region perfectly. The Asturian cider served here is a highlight in itself – poured the traditional way, it adds to the authenticity and charm. It’s crisp, slightly tart, and incredibly refreshing. I also tried a variety of Asturian dishes, and every bite was full of flavor – rustic, hearty, and true to the region’s culinary roots. From the wooden décor to the bustling, friendly environment, everything about this sidrería gives you the real taste of Asturias – both in food and culture. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Asturian gastronomy at its best.
Bishan S — Google review
My partner and I very much enjoyed food at two sidrerias of Tierra Astur in Oviedo so when we arrived in Gijon, we went straight to Tierra Astur again without a second thought. Unfortunately the food at this location is not comparable to that in Oviedo. We ordered the octopus rice (see the photo below) but it tasted unbelievably bland. At first we thought it was just the Asturian way of cooking seafood rice (after all it's not Valencian paella). But we got to confirm that the food quality control has some serious problems at this location after we went to El Restallu, a restaurant also in Gijon known for its seafood dishes, where the seafood rice tasted amazing. We did reported the issue to a manager on site after we paid the bill since the octopus rice cost us more than EUR 40 (!) And we got a "thank you for telling us." Afterwards we also reached out via their customer service online and asked for possible refund. But all they could offer was food voucher, which is of course useless to us as we don't live in Spain and don't plan to travel back to Asturias anytime soon. We hence reluctantly post this negative review here to warn anyone planning to go to this place. PS: The tortas at this location were also not as good as those in Oviedo. Here they made it too thick. The location at Aviles had the same problem. So we think Tierra Astur should really go through some food quality control examinations on their locations outside Oviedo.
Gin H — Google review
The food was good (we had the ribs and baby octopus), but the experience was disappointing. We weren’t allowed inside with our tiny dog in her basket, so we had to eat outside in very strong wind. A basket of bread we never asked for or touched was added to the bill, and although one portion was reimbursed, we were still charged for the other. The online page says it is open and we can it all day, but between 4 and 8pm the options were very limited. Otherwise the menu is very diverse.
ClaireTro — Google review
The food was very salty, and the fried calamari had bones and ink inside. I was charged for two portions of bread that I didn’t ask for, and when I asked for a refund, they refunded me only one portion. It was very windy eating outside because dogs aren't allowed inside, not their fault, but they lack of infrastructure to deal with it.
Paul E — Google review
Must go experience If you don't have a booking you'll need to queue outside from 8 pm. Get there quick and early. Staff is very friendly and the food is amazing!

Gardens
Nestled just 5 kilometers southeast of Gijón's bustling center, the Jardín Botánico Atlántico is a serene 25-acre oasis that invites visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. This modern botanical garden showcases over 2,000 plant varieties, many native to Spain's northern coast and Atlantic regions.
Definitely worth getting out of the city for and there's a cheap bus near Playa de San Lorenzo that makes it very accessible. If you've spent much time in southern Spain you'll love how green and vibrant it is. Plan to spend at least 2 hours if you want to see everything and not rush. The paths are clearly marked and they have information about the various plants. As with everywhere in Spain, wear comfortable shoes.
Jennifer S — Google review
Very big botanical garden. Admission is less than 3€ for an adult and your ticket stays valid throughout the whole day. There's also a 'kids forest' with playground. You can't buy food here, so bring a picnic if you're planning to stay long.
Ludo R — Google review
Fantastic botanical garden you must visit. Low entrance fee (free for children under 12y), there are a lot of interesting flowers and trees. We saw many gardeners take care about the garden. Children have an interesting game inside. We really like it!
Radek D — Google review
Beautiful and relaxing expansive gardens Myself and a friend visited on a weekday in August via a public bus from Gijon. Map provided on entry (with English text). Three recommended walking routes: short route, long route, natural forests route. Biological collections split into: Cantabrian environment, Plant factory, La Isla garden, Atlantic route. Hot & cold drinks vending machines at entrance. Cash only. Numerous toilets and drinking fountains. I recommend taking your own food as the small cafe only sells drinks and croissants. Sound and light show in the evening.
Jon — Google review
A wonderful place for families and nature lovers! We visited the Atlantic Botanical Garden in Gijón and were truly impressed. The park is huge — you need several visits to explore everything properly. The children’s playground is fantastic — safe, creative, and a real highlight for kids. The garden itself is divided into themed areas with forests, ponds, a maze, and even historical buildings. It’s well maintained, with clear paths, picnic spots, and lots of space to enjoy nature. Tickets are very affordable: kids under 11 go free, adults pay only a few euros, and there are yearly passes if you want to come back — which you definitely will! Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a peaceful and educational day out.
Adik K — Google review
These botanical gardens are beautiful and a must visit if you enjoy spending time in nature and learning about botany. A lot of the information is also in English which helps. I didn't expect it to be so massive so plan to spend at least 2 hours here as they close off areas 15 mins to close.

The Railway Museum of Asturias preserves Asturias' historical railway heritage. The exhibits explore the industrial revolution, technological development and social impact of railways on the region.
A very interesting insight into the development of the rail network, especially in Asturias. Based at an old station, it has lots of locomotives and carriages to look at, plus an indoor section covering all things train related from tickets to hats! Free entrance and well worth an hour of your time.
Patrick B — Google review
The Gijón Railway Museum (Museo del Ferrocarril de Asturias) is a fascinating and well-curated destination that brings the region’s rich railway history to life. Located in the atmospheric old North Station near Poniente Beach, the museum impresses from the start with its spacious grounds filled with historic tracks, platforms, and beautifully preserved buildings. The collection is truly remarkable, featuring more than 100 locomotives, carriages, and wagons from different eras and track gauges, including impressive steam, diesel, and electric engines—some of which still run during special events. The exhibits do a great job of showing how the railway shaped Asturias’s industry and society, with plenty of interesting artifacts, photographs, and interactive displays to keep visitors engaged. The museum also has a restoration workshop and a rich archive, making it a valuable resource for both enthusiasts and casual visitors. Whether you’re a train lover, a history buff, or just looking for a unique outing in Gijón, this museum offers a memorable and educational experience that’s suitable for all ages.
Manuel V — Google review
The Museo Ferrocarril offers a thoughtful look into railway history, featuring a collection of well-preserved locomotives and carriages with clear historical context. Admission is free, making it an accessible option for travellers and locals alike. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to answer questions, which enhances the experience. Most displays include descriptions translated into English, so international visitors can appreciate the exhibits without difficulty. The ability to board some of the trains adds a hands-on element, and the museum’s setting lends authenticity. While not overly flashy, it’s a well-curated space for those interested in trains or industrial history, and the free entry makes it easy to recommend for a casual visit.

The museum focuses on the development of railway transportation, which played a significant role in the industrial progress of Asturias. Opened in 1998, it is located in part of the old Gijón North Railway Station. The museum showcases trains from various eras, including steam locomotives, electric locomotives, and diesel trains. It highlights not only the railway history of Asturias but also the importance of railways in modern Spain, making it a popular destination for railway enthusiasts and those interested in the region's industrial history.
Seokjin H — Google review
Visited here whilst on a cruise stopover. The shuttle bus drops you opposite the museum which offers free entry. The exhibits are well preserved and depict the origins and history of the railway in the Gijon area. If you're a railway enthusiast then you'd find this really interesting.

The Railway Museum of Gijon s located in the old station building, filled with the spirit of transportation and the power of past cutting-edge technologies. It’s very intriguing to peek inside an old passenger car or sit on the wooden benches. It’s delightful to see the names of the locomotives and engines and to read about their impressively long years of service and retirement.

Public beach
Playa de San Lorenzo is the main beach of Gijon, Asturias. It's a large crescent-shaped sandy beach that gets crowded during July and August. The beach offers facilities like showers, lifeguards, and a promenade with stalls in the summer. While it's well-maintained and clean, it's not ideal for swimming due to intense waves, making it popular among surfers.
Amazing coastline to walk through. You can tike it from San Pedro Church all the way until getting to the end. Either by the sand or by the sidewalk. There many interest places to stop by and enjoy it. If you go to Gijon, this is one of the most charming places to visit
Riury R — Google review
It is one of the largest and most popular beaches in Gijón, located close to the city center, making it a frequent destination for visitors. The beach stretches for approximately 1.5 kilometers, featuring a wide sandy shoreline. During the summer, many people come to sunbathe or swim. The waves here are moderately strong, making it a well-known spot for surfing. Alongside the beach, there is a promenade, providing an excellent environment for walking or cycling while enjoying the sea view. The surrounding area is filled with cafés, restaurants, and sports facilities.
Seokjin H — Google review
The beach in Gijón is a great place to relax. It features clean golden sand and a wide shoreline, so everyone can find a comfortable spot. For just 2 euros per day, you can rent a sunbed and enjoy the sun in comfort. At the beginning of summer, the water temperature was around 20–21°C, which made swimming quite refreshing but still enjoyable. There are plenty of freshwater showers available on the beach, which is very convenient after swimming. In addition, there are many cafes and shops nearby — perfect for grabbing a bite to eat or picking up any essentials without going far from the beach. An ideal spot for a beach day — whether you're a tourist or a local.
Ivan ( — Google review
The beach is well-maintained and offers facilities such as showers and lifeguards. It's also a favorite spot for surfers due to its consistent waves. Overall, Playa de Lorenzo is a must-visit destination for those looking to enjoy the beauty of the Asturian coast.

Nice beach with sand. Can rent the chairs very cheap inly 2euro. The only problem there is the toilet . Only two and one quite far from the beach and the other not always working. One is 0.50 euros and other 0.30 euros.
KIM — Google review
Beautiful beach with a great view and environment. People who go there are so nice and just enjoy the beach. It is really close to the center of the city. You can go walking.
Jose T — Google review
Nice big sandy beach. There weren't any chairs on the beach so you have to go with your own stuff, but the water is so clear and you have so much space around.

Parque Isabel La Católica is a reclaimed park featuring a lake, playground, and aviary, as well as civic and mythological sculptures. Situated in a beautiful environment of gardens and ponds, it is located near the Football Stadium of The Molinon. Visitors can also explore the Museu del Pueblu de Asturies nearby or enjoy the popular Gijon flea market held every Sunday.
A fantastic playground (actually, a whole bunch of them). Endless fun for the kids. Well-kept and spacious. The only thing I would improve is the outdoor gym. It's pathetic. :-(
Anna I — Google review
I recently visited Parque de Isabel la Católica. The green spaces are pleasant and attractive. My visit became very unpleasant when I walked through the Aviary area! There was an obviously emotionally distressed macaw in one of the cages. The poor animal had picked out all of its breast and a lot of its wing feathers. This poor animal needs immediate attention by a veterinarian and be removed from such a cruel environment. Macaws are intelligent and long-lived animals and should be properly cared for both physically and emotionally.

Amazing park, with lots of activities for kids: great variety of playgrounds (some of which you barely can find in any other park), lots of swings of different types, walking trails, water pond and even a zoo with lots of birds. Recently, kids playground area was renewed and repaired, with new playground types added. A beach is available very close to the park too. Highly recommended.

Bar
La Vida Alegre, aptly named "The Happy Life," is a charming little bar that radiates an inviting and cheerful atmosphere. This cozy spot feels more like a beloved local pub than just another place to grab a drink, thanks to its warm service and friendly vibe. As the sun sets, La Vida Alegre transforms from a tranquil daytime retreat into a lively evening hotspot filled with impromptu jazz and folk music performances that often feature traditional instruments.
Love this place, very chilled (on Tuesday) with great music and a really good atmosphere. Lovely to sit outside and also inside is comfortable and cosy with art on the walls. Service was great from a lovely barman. Definitely check it out when in Gijon!

Stumbled upon La vida alegre by chance... Fantastic place wonderful music and a great atmosphere. They were also happening to have a great trio playing music outside and so got treated to a nice mini concert and even some lentils to enjoy a vermouth afternoon. Amazing place! Definitely will go back

(Translated by Google) Located in an area with a lot of bars, with a guaranteed clientele, as the streets are so lively, the only good thing about this place is its location. I agree with other reviews, but if you're not from the area, forget it. A waiter with the composure of a slow motion camera, bad carton wine, and crisps that don't satisfy you; you can smell them from a distance.
Roberto S — Google review
(Translated by Google) I don't like judging businesses. It's hard to work it out beer by beer, but there are some things... I read Marta Hernández Bautista's review, and it's the exact same thing that happened to us just now. Look, the place looks nice. We're not starving, but it's a minor detail that makes you feel like a stranger in a seemingly welcoming place. Otherwise, we love Gijón, its people, and its bars.

(Translated by Google) A curious place. It's hard to understand why the waiter serves all customers an appetizer (chips) with their drinks, yet doesn't serve us anything. He automatically served the same to those next to us, those who had arrived, and those who were already there (which, even if you don't feel like eating anything, is an insult). When we said goodbye, we thanked them, but there was no response. In short, if you're not a local, you won't be well served. Fortunately, the service is very different from the other Gijón establishments we've visited. (Original) Local curioso.

Restaurante Auga offers a unique dining experience with its creative Spanish cuisine, particularly focusing on seafood. Located in the marina of Gijon, it provides stunning views of the harbor and the Cantabrian Sea. The restaurant is highly recommended and even featured in the Michelin Guide 2020. With a sleek and light-filled space, it offers a menu that highlights market and avant-garde cuisine, as well as a tasting menu showcasing seasonal dishes.
A stunning experience. Service was friendly and accommodative, also providing an English menu. The entrecote for the main was unforgettable, the meat practically melted in my mouth! I was particularly enamoured by the chestnut bread upon arrival, such a distinct taste when coupled with the butter! My only criticism would be that the desserts were lacking in anything of substance, and they did not leave me feeling satisfied, the flavours were not cohesive. Overall, my experience was incredible though. For my first Michelin restaurant, I truly will never forget this!
James F — Google review
Magical sunset dinner here. We ordered a la carte and the portion sizes are extraordinary. They asked us if they could reduce the sizes of our appetizers which we were grateful for. A must stop on our short Gijon trip
L N — Google review
We were really impressed with the food and the team. This was easily one of the better experiences we've had. We enjoyed the tasting menu (10 course) and left satisfied and talking about the meal. Raved about it with our friends (along with the many photos). Well worth the price point.
Bill E — Google review
We had a great outside room & excellent food. My only criticism is the description of the courses was not accurate. The taco’s had no Taco and the Iberian Agnoli with Ravioli had one Ravioli and was lamb chops. The suckling pig looked the best mains. We had 2 amuse busche as well.
Terry C — Google review
Such a beautiful and romantic place. The food is fantastic, and the service is top-notch. Definitely a great choice for a date night.
Tatios K — Google review
We have just had the most terrible experience at this restaurant. We booked for 9pm and were put on a table outside - by 10.45 we had only just had a starter- which was some very odd cheese. We requested two glasses dry white wine and were given something approaching sherry. Service was utterly awful. Food was odd. God only knows how this place has a Michelin star - it needs to go and hopefully someone will read this review. DO NOT GO! Zero stars for most of it.
Jane P — Google review
We chose Auga in Gijón as the “last supper” of our culinary trip through Northern Spain and had high expectations, but the experience fell short. The evening started with a 25-minute wait just to get an aperitif, perhaps because staff focused on a large, noisy corporate group. The small hors d’oeuvres were excellent, but after that the meal felt more brasserie than Michelin star. Portions were huge — a whole lamb shoulder, far too much for fine dining — and while the ingredients were of good quality, the execution lacked refinement. My friend’s fish was fresh but oversalted, and the potato mash was served cold. Overall, we left with a slightly bitter taste, both literally and figuratively.
Sales O — Google review
Michelin restaurant with an elegant location on the see,it seems to be on a boat. The menu is in line with the price and quality. Wines are very well selected and suggested by the staff. The short menu was really appreciate with good fish proposals. A unique suggestions:more focus on details!

(Translated by Google) I have been visiting Michelin stars throughout Spain for several years and La Salgar does a great job as you would expect from this type of restaurant. In my case I enjoyed an Ester menu (they have two, the traditional €49 and Ester €76) with food pairing. Everything was spectacular, dishes, wines, etc. It's hard to say something bad about these places, right? I will dare to say that for me, despite it being the most complete menu, I missed more quantity in the main dishes. I don't want it to be misunderstood, I know very well how this works and I am a fan of this cuisine. But within the “little” it seemed scarce to me, in three passes of the fork you could finish any dish. Despite what has been said, a great place that is enjoyed in every way. I recommend it.

Perched majestically above the waves, Elogio del Horizonte is a striking modern sculpture that offers breathtaking panoramic views and an immersive auditory experience. Crafted by renowned Basque artist Eduardo Chillida in 1990, this monumental piece of art stands proudly on Santa Catalina Hill, symbolizing the spirit of Gijón. Locals affectionately refer to it as 'King Kong's Water Closet' due to its unique design.
Created in 1990 by Eduardo Chillida, this concrete structure is one of the most representative works of modern sculpture. Characterized by geometric shapes and curves, it is designed to honor the horizon, symbolizing the coexistence of humanity and nature while emphasizing the vastness of space and the freedom of thought. Standing on Santa Catalina Hill, facing the Atlantic Ocean, this artwork creates an impressive visual connection between the land, sea, and sky.
Seokjin H — Google review
It is definitely worth the climb to the top of the hill to see the sculpture as the size is impressive. It does frame the horizon. Even if you are not interested the walk up for the views of the city and the old fort are. There are paths and ramps all the way up so it is sorted for all. It is quite dusty around the sculpture and in the late afternoon when the wind is strong it tends to blow into your face. I would recommend going earlier in the day.
Simon R — Google review
A great sunset spot ! Very beautiful view from the top. The center of the structure amplifies sound, its interesting. It has a sket park just down the alley.

Located in the highest area of the city, in Cimadevilla neighborhood, the hill of Santa Catalina has the most beautiful panoramic views of the city of Gijón & the Cantabrian Sea. In this hill we found some historical elements such as remains of a Roman wall, ancient military bunkers & sculptures, standing out Elogio del Horizonte, a reinforced concrete sculpture of 500 tons that was really impressive. If you stand in the center of the sculpture, you can hear the intensity of the sound of the waves and wind. It is a pleasant a peaceful walk!

The service was horrible, we were waiting for our cocktails, but before we even started, a waiter brought us a bill (we didn’t ask for it). Honestly the best restaurant we’ve been during our holidays in Gijon. All the food we ordered was very well balanced, delicious. Prices are very reasonable for such a good meal. We tried different typical plates, such as Chorizo a la sidra, Chipirones, Morcilla and Tarta Charlota, Arroz con leche. Wine and beers are good too. Everything served with an appreciable service. Worth the wait and the journey since Gijon by foot.

Pub Habana Gijón is a vibrant nightlife spot that captures the essence of Gijón, offering an authentic local experience. Visitors rave about the lively atmosphere and fantastic music that sets the stage for a memorable night out. Despite this, Pub Habana remains a cherished venue where patrons can enjoy good company and dance the night away.

I asked for an extra glass of water and the blonde barmaid refused to serve me saying that I had drunk "too much". I told her that I was still a but drunk and needed to drive back home, so I just wanted the water to sober up, and she still refused, saying that I should have thought about it before. It seems as though she wanted me to drive drunk, because serving a glass of tap water is not that much effort...

He made a guy take off his hat (they were having a bachelor party), tried to kick us out of the bathroom for waiting for the people inside to leave, and even told us to chill out and dance. However, when a guy joined our group and ended the dance by slapping one of my cousins out of the blue, he didn't do anything. He wandered around the club in a Torrente-style fashion. There was a large crowd of people at the entrance, and the security staff acted very roughly. They pushed me for no apparent reason while trying to let those leaving through, even though there was another door set up for that purpose. When I asked for an explanation, one of them reacted disproportionately and aggressively. The situation was so tense that another person had to intervene to prevent it from escalating. The most worrying thing was that, when I requested a complaint form as a customer with a valid ticket, they flatly refused to give it to me, accompanying their refusal with mockery and a completely disrespectful attitude. The customer service was zero, the treatment was inappropriate, and I felt unsafe all the time. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this club. (Translated by Google) Entertaining for going out on any Saturday, it is a typical place for youth partying, it has a somewhat calm atmosphere without major altercations, and it has common music where the musical styles do not change from popular music to my taste. It is a somewhat small place but the high ceiling reduces the feeling (so to speak) of claustrophobia. From my own experience they are the most "hygienic" in the youth party area. La Tasca de Cabrales offers a wide variety of tapas and wines, making it a great dining option. Located just 8km from Gijon, Casa Gerardo is a historic restaurant that has gained popularity under the guidance of chefs Pedro and Marcos Moran. Visitors have praised the generous portions and delicious flavors of dishes like black rice. While some experienced longer wait times, the quality of the food made up for any initial inconvenience.

(Translated by Google) Good food and service from its waiters (not its owner) but incredibly they do not accept credit cards for payment, something unacceptable in these times in a European country and when the expense is probably large. Do they expect us to carry a few hundred euros in our pockets to pay for a dinner for several people? Obviously they do this to save the 2 or 3% they have to pay to credit card service providers. A thief of care abusing the client, worthy of never returning and of spreading to ensure that this type of treatment of the client disappears and with it those who carry it out. Let's marginalize this type of treatment and get these establishments to close, doing justice and valuing those who really deserve appreciation and not contempt like this. To finish, say that at their entrance door they mention that they do not accept credit cards for technical reasons. Those reasons are a big lie because said poster has been there for months or years as an excuse. They are calling us fools. Let no one go to eat there. There are many other places with quality food where, of course, they respect the customer.

(Translated by Google) I want to respond to the traveling phenomenon of Eduardo Iñiguez that I was present when he passed and I can say that the warning sign for not having a dataphone at that time is true, I have eaten a lot in the tavern and I always paid with a card. They have been having problems for more or less 3 weeks. I don't think it's a problem since it's warned at the entrance, so if you want to come in, you go in and if not, then no. It is an OPTIONAL service Mr. Iñiguez and you behaved like a real child since you disrespected the staff for no reason. You don't travel much from what I can see and you are a bit repellent. In short, I think it is a comment without any sense. You don't go there and that's it. After being comfortable and sending this guy away, I would like to add that the tavern is in a cozy place and where, in addition to treating you like at home, the food is phenomenal.
