The 31 best cheap eats in Guildford

I ordered a platter which cost £12 but the size difference compared to a wrap (£8) was pretty minuscule - I was only given about 10 chips as seen in the photo below. You need to give more food if you’re charging that much - the image on the menu was also misleading on size.

My husband has raved about this restaurant to me for the last 5yrs so when we flew to England for a week he made it his priority to take me to Guildford just for me to try it and boy did it live up to my expectations! Honestly it exceeded my expectations… SO SO good! Also you must try the lemonade!!!

‏Beef skewers was very good but chicken skewers was dry and not tender at all, Greek salad was excellent, Pita chicken was very good overall prices are reasonable for what you get I will definitely come back again

This is still one of the best places to go if you want a quick but delicious meal. They've recently renovated and added more indoor seating, so it can fit more people now. I'll always be a loyal customer! P.S. I'm not sure if they allow outside drinks, but I always bring coffee when I go because my partner and I don't usually drink soda when we eat out. Luckily, they didn't mind me bringing it in.

The food was deliciou and came in really good size portions, it was very filling. The staff were very friendly and they were very quick to clear empty plates which was nice. Very attentive. Overall lovely place to eat

My husband and I found this pub by chance on the way to visit our son who is in the navy. We just popped off the A3. A grand looking pub, We were welcomed by Ian to be informed of the fantastic offer of two meals for less than £13.50. We had a couple of drinks and spent less than £20.00 in total. The meal was promptly served by Sarah and credit to them it was lovely. Chatting with Ian we said we were going to Portsmouth while Sunday, he told us that the Sunday lunch would be £9 each so we called in on the way home, my hubby Watched the football and my son and I enjoyed Watching the fabulous F1 win. Two great visits now feel like part of the family. Thanks!!! We'll be back

My wife, two friends and I went to the Wooden Bridge Pub for lunch, we were served by Debbie. We had a wonderful experience, our food came piping hot, it was well cooked and very delicious. We were made very welcome. We will definitely be going back. Thank you very much.

Our fourth visit here, and we enjoy the simplicity of the tender sourdough pizzas. Sunday lunch visit, and it was averagely busy. Staff were relaxed and attended to the tables well. The children's menus are good value for money.

Had a great experience at Franco Manca in Guildford the other evening. The pizza was full of flavour with that perfect mix of crisp and chew. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. What really stood out though was the service – Lucy looked after us and was genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely coming back!

Oh my goodness, Franco Manca never disappoints! I just had the most amazing pizza there and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was buzzing and it just added to the whole experience. What makes this place stand out is the attention to detail. The ingredients are fresh and the crust is perfect - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I highly recommend the tomato, mozzarella and garlic toppings - it's a game changer! Definitely coming back again soon.

Vibes are immaculate! Pizza was some of the best sourdough pizzas ive had. Not to mention our lovely waitress Eloise who looked after us and informed us of some fab specials. Thank you cant wait for next time.

Ray and Rob went above and beyond to support us and our dinner experience. They were so flexible and welcoming and make our celebration even more special! I will definitely come back over and over again! The food is delicious and I can never enough of it!

A colleague shared this place with us so we thought we’d take a visit whilst in the area (my husband, me and our 10 month old boy) it can always be a bit daunting going out to eat with an unpredictable baby but the staff were so accommodating! We instantly felt relaxed when we arrived and were quickly seated, table ready for high chair etc, we didn’t even make a booking! The service was pretty quick and the staff were all lovely actually but equally quite easy going which we liked. Our waitress (I didn’t get her name!!) had an accent maybe Scottish?? A nose ring and glasses, she was fab. The pizza was shamazingggg. So much vegan choice and freshly made (you can see them making it which I like) came out pretty quick too but not too quick to make you wonder if it’s been cooked properly if you know what I mean! So yeah, lots of choice on the menu for all and a kids menu also, pizza, drink and dessert for £7.95! The cost overall I thought was good value for money, £37.95 for a kids meal, dessert, 3 drinks and 2 large pizzas. Service charge was included which isn’t uncommon and we boxed some of ours up and ended up eating it for dinner so it goes a long way! Toilets clean and private - always a winner when you need the baby changing! Definitely worth a visit whether you’re a family or a couple, friends etc really yummy, chill and fun vibes! I want to review Nuro purely on the lack of customer service and not on the food quality. I was picking up my order as I did not receive an sms for collection after 35 minutes? After walking in I was not acknowledged at all, no eye contact from any of the 5 servers and after standing for ten minutes, I had to interupt to ask for my order, which after over 45 minutes was cold. Really disappointing as the food here is usually great, but sadly its let down by the lack of care and service. I appreciate that it's busy but there needs to be someone appointed to the service of customers.

One of my favourite place for kebabs. I have been going there for years now and never disappointed. The service, food and atmosphere, everything is superb.

Lovely Dona and shish. Salad needs more onions, but it is still tasty, especially the cabbage. Good job, we have asked for pita bread to be packed separately as last time it was drained in sauce and got all mushy.

I enjoy going to this Nuro restaurant regularly for their kebabs. The food tastes good and well presented. However, the portion sizes are a bit small; for example the attached picture is a large Lamb Doner but seems closer to a regular size. The service can be slow when it's busy, but the staff is friendly and generally knows the menu well. While the dine-in prices are a bit high, the take-away prices are reasonable. It's not an extraordinary place, but it's decent for Turkish kebabs.

Lovely looking place and entrance is welcoming. Presentation of food is great I travelled from London to try this place and was very disappointed and not Impressed. On the website it's says they serve Turkish food but this not the case. Food with no flavour and It felt like they where not happy to have customers. They have large menu but don't have all the food. When requested Turkish tea they said we are too busy after the meal. Restaurant was not full and busy. Salad and bread is normally amazing at grill restaurants but this was disappointing and not the case. Salads mostly contain onions few tomato with limited greens and pitta bread instead of tasty bread. Service is none or should I say poor. Staff had limited food knowledge. Meat and chicken cut are small and food served in small portions. Handling of food when cooking. Both Uncooked meat and chicken are cooked together and handled together with out washing hands each time. Drinks cans where dented and I will understand if that is case for one can of drink but it was 3 cans of drink where dented. It's highly important for presentation / business image. Parking is available on single yellow. Hand wash Rooms and toilets facility very dirty and this says a lot about a business. Decor in the eating in area was not appealing. For the food served its expensive £££. I don't recommend and best to avoid until they make the important improvements.

Stopped in here for a quick birthday lunch yesterday. Food was very nice, lovely patient staff. Obviously a popular choice as it was quite cramped and busy! Gluten free options which was great. Some points which lost the star: I got a gluten free potato and leek soup, on the menu it says the bread is toasted, mine was not. Not a massive deal but it’s what I expected. My latte wasn’t hot, just warm, which seems to have been the case with another review too. We were in a bit of a rush so didn’t say anything. Would go back though!

We've been coming here for many years, but only 3-4 times per year as we're not local. Think it may have recently changed hands? Anyway, the coffee was absolutely delicious. Really flavoursome, and properly hot, cannot fault it all. The panini and cake were also very good. The service was friendly but the drinks took a long time to arrive. It seemed a little chaotic as it was busy. But we will definitely continue to return every time we come to Guildford.

Such a cute place situated in an almost hidden courtyard. The sun was shining so this was the perfect spot to enjoy an early morning coffee sat outside. Lots of choice of cakes etc. we went for something a little more substantial for breakfast. A bacon sandwich for me and poached eggs for my other half. Coffee was delicious, the perfect little spot 😀

Don't waste your time and money coming here. Went 2 times got attended by the same rude brunette with blue eyes who seems to be the manager and manages herself with a rude attitude even though both times I have been nice to her. Barely any of what they sell is fresh. Had a cheesecake, which was super dry and had a sour taste. I also got overcharged from what the price sign said, and when I asked the same rude woman said "But this is a luxury cake" (I can guarantee you it was not) Just not worth it.

I had a honey ham and cheese sandwich, and it was simple but so delicious. If I lived in Guildford, I’d definitely come here all the time. I’ll come back again next time <3

Lovely place to grab a tasty bite. Great variety, the food is flavoursome and fresh testing. Love the high protein meals, great when you're training and you're trying to increase your protein. This is my go to place when I'm in the area, staff are wonderfully friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant..

You eat at this fast food joint for convenience, not for the taste. We ordered the Signature Burrito, Burrito Rice Bowl, and the High Protein Burrito. The rice were not well cooked, with some bits still hard. I think the burritos need to be infused by default with guacamole and sauces because it just tasted bland and dry. We did not expect much when we ordered, but even so, we were disappointed. Barely palatable.

I took my children to spectrum over the half term and was pleasantly surprised by the food on offer at burrito loco. We had 2 chicken tender meals and a kids favourite and they were all delicious. Food came out quickly and the service was incredible. Can’t wait to go back!

Food is really awful. Fresh chips mixed with one's cooked earlier and fried again, so now hollow and tasting burnt. The nachos are cold and disgusting but the menu suggests fresh guacamole (I'm sure it was fresh out of the tub)I'm not sure about the food hygiene either as the guy making the food has full-length dreadlocks that were not tied behind his shoulders but did have a hat on. So that's OK! Save your money

To avoid. The food is overpriced and poorly prepared, with questionable freshness. The salsa had an odd taste, the rice was dry and hard, and the burrito was half cold, half warm. There was barely any cheese on the nachos, and the churros were overly sweet, served with a chocolate sauce so artificial and unpleasant it was hard to associate it with chocolate at all. Service was provided by undertrained staff, and even the entrance was frustrating, the door was difficult to open, and the disability button didn’t help. A real shame, as we had such a great time at the Guildford Spectrum, but this disappointing food experience put a damper on the day.

It's not great.. I ordered a signature burrito meal and a child's wrap meal. The burrito was so tiny, and cost £6 alone! It tasted alright, but I was expecting something bigger. The kids meal was good value and my son enjoyed it, but I felt like I'd have been better off ordering myself the same thing he had. Staff were friendly and polite, and doing their best considering they looked like they were missing some people.

Decent shopping selling ready made items. Nothing is really fresh and it's made of white but cooked on site. But decent place. Staff were talking in the own language with can be uneasy as yu don't know if they are talking about you.

The chicken katsu curry with rice was delicious—crispy and tender, with a good portion size. Prices are super affordable, and the staff were really friendly. Highly recommend if you're looking for a tasty, budget-friendly meal. It's my go-to spot for quick meals.

Always fantastic food here. Generous portions, reasonable prices and friendly, quick service. The sushi I’ve had has always been fresh and tasty. The hot menu is varied with something to suit all tastes. They use chicken thigh rather than breast meat which I prefer due to the better taste and texture- I find it a lot juicier and not dry at all (although if you don’t like dark meat, it may not be for you). We’re very lucky to have 2 branches of Kokoro in Guildford and I will definitely remain a faithful customer!

Good price for the food and portion. However spicy pork has a strong taste of ‘pork’ which is too much for me. Not sure if the meat is good quality. Spicy tofu is good tho.

Tonight it meant to be a chicken Teriyaki and sweet and sour as I usually GO for!! .... Both tasted horrible but mainly the Teriyaki tasted off, fishy and look at the colour! Weird! As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by a lovely environment and smiling, friendly staff. The assistant manager, Anil, personally served us with a great smile and was extremely helpful. He explained the new promotions clearly and made sure we were completely satisfied with our order. I was really impressed with his service — and so were my kids! I also noticed the rest of the staff were equally attentive and caring. Mr. Melvin, who was managing the front of the floor, went around checking if every customer had received exactly what they ordered. Such a lovely and thoughtful guy! I had a great experience at Burger King today. I ordered the Bacon King combo, and everything was cooked perfectly. The burger was hot, flavorful, and loaded with toppings. Fries were golden and crispy, and the drink machine had plenty of options. The staff was friendly and even checked in to make sure everything was okay. The restaurant was clean, with plenty of seating. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This was an outstanding experience right as we walked in we were greeted with an amazing atmosphere. The service was really good. Also the staff were very nice and friendly especially Melwyn who was managing the front floor. 100% I would definitely recommend to go to this Burger King with friends and family.

Normally great. Today the chips have been hot held and re heated resulting in oily, soggy chips. Very dissapointing. Hopefully management take care of this issue. Toilets need cleaning, bins need emptying. Management step up please!!

Bacon double cheeseburger is awesome, fries are good. But the guy filling the order made like 3 mistakes - annoying! Make sure to check what you are given at the counter. Will go back as the burgers have a great meaty flavour.

Rated as one of the Top Fish & Chips in UK! I was a little underwhelmed; mostly due to it being strictly a take-away experience only, lol… So you don’t get any buttered buns, nor complimentary appetizers nor refillable condiments. Besides that, the cod we ordered was beautifully battered, light and crunchy even though we journeyed 15min back to our place to unpack and have it. The scampi was literally fried when we ordered, so it was warm and crunchy. Chips didn’t retain its crispness, nevertheless they were was still tasty… but I think it’s unsalted. We also took one mushy peas and a tub of curry sauce… nothing spectacular but it was enough for us.

Not entirely sure what the metrics are for this place to be an award winner... BUT, I have never yet had a good bit of fish from here.... lots of greasy batter and thin over-fried fish. there are definately ithers that are better locally. however, battered sausage and chips cannot be beaten.

Good atmosphere and nice shop with extensive menu. However honestly the fish was dry. Batter was nice but inside the fish was dry and fell to pieces. Did feel like fast food. Had other fish and chips around Guildford (mainly the stoke road one) which feels more authentic and like proper food. Underwhelming visit again I thought let me give them the benefit of doubt as I have only ever been on Sunday or late towards close. But today a visit on Friday peak dinner time. Good was served very quick and fish was dry think that's the last visit for me unfortunately.

Really good fish and chips. Crispy light batter and tasty chips. Not greasy at all. Perfect. Mushy peas too. Would be nice to served with a smile and not a grunt but don’t let that put you off.

Batter on fish was nice, light and fluffy and perfectly seasoned like it should be, not overcooked but still with a slight crunch and the fish itself tasted amazing. Chips were served hot and plenty of them.

I would have rated them 5/5, but today I wanted to change from my regular Fish n’ Chips to a chicken burger which turned out to be a mistake. I got the plainest chicken burger you can get 😅, if I’ve had known it comes like this I would have grabbed ketchup and mayo at least to go with it. I had a craving for some Thai food and thought about giving this place an honest try. Very few of these places are authentic Thai food, and this place was a copy. I approached the young lad and said hello in Thai. Got greeted with an English hello. The lady at the counter asked what I wanted and I told her, in Thai, the spicy chicken soup. She asked if I wanted beef, prawns or chicken! Still hungry, so I ordered it. If I had been blindfolded, I would have known immediately. Bland, noodles undercooked and did not have the paste it is suppose to have. Never again. Could not finish it.

I recently stopped by Thai Express in Guildford and was genuinely impressed—both by the food and the service. The food was fresh, flavorful, and made to order with great attention to detail. I tried the tofu fried rice, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, and the tofu was crispy and satisfying. The service was quick, but the quality never felt rushed, Thai Express is definitely worth a visit.

Highly recommended, i always stop here for Thai fry rice prown when i come in Guildford . Great food, generous portion sizes and a great soft drinks selection. I would like to say Thank you to all the staff for your good service . See you soon

I spend 60 pound on food from here and this is how my mozzarella sticks are sent. Burnt, look bitten and inedible and whole order freezing cold its not acceptable

The service was OK but that was it. The food was cold and not very good. I visited the gents toilet and was genuinely shocked. Soap dispensers had been removed or empty all the hand dryers were turned off, the one urinal was taped off and in a real mess. All in all a very poor experience give it a miss.

I called the store just after ordering and asked for my order to be made fresh. I spoke to the so called manager HARRY who was very rude and abrupt. He said all our orders are always made fresh. I received STAIL Food and told him to send me fresh food as i have previously requested!! He refused and said talk to Uber eats we don’t do that. Not great, I think this reflected in my first 2 Star review… Service haphazard, meal warm at best, chips half empty. I will expand on all of that, firstly I arrive and it’s busy, this is to be expected as it’s lunchtime in Guildford and there are lots of school kids in there, so I’m expecting not to get served my meal straight away, whilst ordering I decide to go for a large for value for money. I stand in the ever expanding queue waiting for my number to be posted on the screen to collect, my number comes up but when I get to the front of the queue they are calling numbers that aren’t even on the board. The only reason I know to wait is because lots of other customers are going up saying they have been waiting a while and their numbers aren’t even on the board. So I can’t blame the staff for this, it’s obviously someone further up the chain that needs to fix the board. It was just causing chaos. Weirdly because you can’t see the kitchen it makes it more frustrating as you just see people with bags of food walk past you and disappear. I get my food, before quite a few others, despite customising my burger not to have onions in, which came as a surprise. I go upstairs and find a table straight away, the tables are clean and there is someone doing a good job of cleaning and making sure the bins are empty etc, this was probably one of the only plus points. I open my meal to find my chips aren’t full to the brim as usual but 2/3rds maybe full, so not much point going for a large as I definitely wasn’t after the larger Diet Coke. I open my burger and there is the most measly amount of sauce in which is placed off to one side of the burger, not much point going for the big tasty after all. Then comes the most disappointing part, the burger is Luke warm at best, which considering it’s a custom burger is also a surprise, the chips are slightly better, but not by much. I’m not expecting fine dining from a Maccy D’s but this was a very substandard experience. I won’t be going back in a hurry. Oh and finally, I stated eat in on the ordering machine and it came in a bag, didn’t bother me to much, but worth mentioning.

Decent quality dishes on the menu. There is seating available if you want to dine in. A good selection of food. Home delivery is also available and it's less expensive if you order directly from them instead of the home delivery apps. Delivery is usually pretty quick unless you choose peak times.

Ordered on the phone for collection and my first time eating from here. Woman on the phone who took my order was lovely. The food was decent but have had better for cheaper. The order came up to £32 for a cheese burger, large chips (but was a regular portion in my opinion) and mixed shish. They take cash only and did not communicate this when I ordered, which was frustrating. The people behind the counter seemed upset or having a bad day and did not respond to me when I greeted them twice upon entering the shop. Except for one guy who was genuinely nice and welcoming. Maybe the others didn’t speak English. The service was smooth and the food was ready when they said it would be, which I always love! Having said that, personally, I would not order from here again as it was not worth the price.

Been ordering from this usually excellent restaurant for several years - they have clearly changed management. Tiny salad with kebabs now. Seriously selling people short. Stale pitta and tough chicken covered in bits. Such a disappointment after so many previous great meals. Shall be going to the van by guildford hospital from now on.

Completely disappointed, you order one thing, then another, there is no receipt, no order tracking, and when you call to ask why you are getting something you did not order, the manager's (nameless) explanation is disgusting. Customer service zero, attitude towards customers zero, food zero, everything is zero. It's good that there are other kebab places to order from and be satisfied. I do not recommend this disgusting kebab.

So I ordered through the KFC App from this specific store and somehow they forgot half... Yes 50% of my order! The only possible explanation I can imagine is that the staff here are either huffing glue or were dropped from a moving car on their way home from the hospital after being born! When you order a MEAL you expect it to come with more than JUST chicken! Personally I love the new chips and would do heinous things for KFC gravy but alas these were nowhere to be found! Don't do online orders from here if you actually want all your food as it seems they are unable to do the simplest of tasks! P.s. thanks for ruining Christmas!

Visited today to grab a quick bite to eat and have to say for a wrap to be done was average in timing, but what let things down really was the loudness of music blasting in the takeaway. I understand it's nice to have music playing but KFC isn't a place with a reputation of being a night club. Food was nice enough but waiting with overly loud music spoiled the service really as couldn't wait to leave.

Whenever ordering online this place always forgets items. The quality of the food has dropped, we got one burnt piece of chicken dripping in grease, along with 3 chicken dippers soggy and mushed up in a box. The chips are always stone cold but the drinks warm? Awful place.

I had the worst upset stomach after eating KFC . Pls check what you put in the take away order. In my way home after a very long day at work I stopped by KFC in Guildford and I ordered the box meal which comes with hamburger and one piece of meat, chips and drink . The meat was tasting bit funny but I taught it was just me. Apparently was something wrong. Please be more careful I love KFC but not sure I will order it again..

I like KFC a lot but I'd say every other time I go here or order from them in person there is a mistake with my order. E.g. too few items or they've given me someone else's order. I shouldn't have to stand there and open up the package they've given me to count the number of chicken wings, or double check that they've given me the right meal. It's a shame

A one star is too much for kfc. I ordered a takeaway veggie rice box. And because they are too professional and honest, they did not add any rice nor beans to my meal.. they filled the box with greens and sauce. Such a shame and an ethical

May 02 at about 1715, parked my car and ordered inside via the self-order machine, no receipt was printed, no social distancing as well. Left once collected the order and had to return as the chicken wrap was not included, again, no social distancing. Got our chicken wrap, guy gave a free fries which we don’t actually need as we are avoiding carbs and oil. The wrap had toooo much of mayo, I swiped two tissues of mayo (bit sour) and I lost my appetite. Waste of money!

FOOD POISONING. Myself and my husband ordered last night for collection a medium stuffed crust all the meats & a medium stuffed crust half & half Cypriot & double pepperoni. This morning I was woken with severe nausea. I have vomited multiple times and had multiple bouts of diarrhoea the consistency of water. I am fatigued & weak. First time ordering from here & definitely the last.

Ordered 2x med pizzas and 2x sides at 7:30pm and it didn’t arrive until 9pm. I know it’s Friday night but that’s madness for some conveyor belt pizzas. When they finally arrived they were stone cold and I could have banged a nail into wood with the potato tots. We called the shop and explained the situation to which the store manager explained that “as we’re so far away we should have expected it to arrive cold and that the food was prepared 12 mins before the driver arrived and is given to them fresh” however our first driver cancelled so we had to wait an hour for another to accept the order so I imagine the shop prepped the order and it sat under a heat lamp for 1 hour. The manager said he couldn’t give us a refund but instead if he writes our name and number down he’ll give us a free pizza next time. What? No. We made it clear we wanted a refund and he said he couldn’t do that for us and after asking for a complaints procedure he said he’d “message the back office for us”. He refused to give us any details to make a formal complaint, he also refused to give us a name instead saying he’s the store manager. We’ll be doing it ourselves. We just thought we’d give them a chance to make it right before doing so. Terrible service. Food awful and delivery time was unacceptable. Avoid.

Order didn't turn up, the delivery driver from Uber who the store uses couldn't find it, despite no other companies having any issues and with delivery note details to help him a long. The delivery driver cancelled the order, so I called the store to ask for a refund, had to explain and then got transferred without being told I've been transferred to someone else, then explained all the same details again, was offered another order which would come in half an hour which for us was not doable so I asked for a refund. After the guy trying asking me togo into the store to collect the pizzas to avoid the wait, etc. I was told "OK I'll refund you, bye" and then hung up. So I was not able to ask when the refund might come through, etc. It was really quite rude, really unprofessional and I had asked politely, despite it being their/Uber's mess up. Has put me off ever ordering from them again - why buy from rude people when there are many other options around.

Awful experienced. Ordered at 12:00. Had to eventually cancel at 13:30 because it wasn’t going to be delivered until after 2pm. 2 hours! Called them and they said Uber was busy! If they offer delivery, they should take responsibility for delivering their own pizza. Cancelled in the end and ordered dominos… delivered in 20 minutes.

One of the worst pizzas I ever had in my life. Papa Johns usually have the best pizza but this location definitely doesn’t. Can’t even call it pizza, it was that bad

Went to papa John's normally have a decent time and get the clearly posted and advertise 9.99 pizza get in to order my pizza told that that deal isn't available even though its still in the windo so I went next Door to perfect pizza and got exactly what thay advertise. Don't think I'll be going back to papa John any time soon

This arrived cold 2 and a half hours after I ordered it. Genuinely unbelievable

I’ve been here three times, apart from the beef chaomein(fried noodles) I ordered was too salty, the food I had for the rest of two times are pretty nice. And the staff is really warm welcoming and friendly, brilliant service. The only drawback is they take cash only, a bit inconvenient. BTW, I love the mini vegetable spring rolls very much, I always finish them before I remember to take a photo of them. A portion comes with 6 of them. It’s a nice place for Chinese takeaway!

The food was flavourful, a bit too salty to me. The only problem was that I had asked the staff member whether there was bamboo shoot in any of dishes I ordered to make sure that there was no bamboo shoot in my food as I’m intolerant. She confirmed with me a few times, but there were loads of bamboo shoots in my chowmein.

Best Chinese had in a long time. Delicious. Very friendly delivery person and phoned to compliment about the food. I love salt but a little less would be better. Recommend with no hesitation.

We ordered food from this place to eat at home because it seemed like a good option, also to try something different. We practically live nearby and had some house specialties, a fried rice, roast duck with roast Chinese pork and fried rice, roast Chinese pork with fried rice in BBQ sauce. Not only did we wait about 20 minutes longer than the time we were supposed to pick up the food, but bad service, arrogant and rude staff if it wasn't for the fact that when we got home the food had a peculiar smell but we didn't give it much thought because we were convinced it was the mixture of the various spices and sauces used. Two hours after we finished eating the food, my wife, my two children and I started to feel sick and the children vomited everything, while my wife and I had severe stomach pains and diarrhoea which lasted practically all night and half of the next day. The food poisoned us all. I went back to talk to someone and tell them about it and not only was I not listened to, but I was also treated badly because according to them it was not possible that I had been sick from eating rice and meat. When I left the place I managed to take a picture of the back of their takeaway and found myself in a filthy, dirty place where I don't think anyone has ever cleaned or thrown anything away. Even the pots that are used for cooking are left outside and not well looked after, how disgusting. I think it is shameful that a business that sells take-away food is left in such filthy and disgusting conditions. I strongly advise everyone never to go there again because they are filthy and if you are lucky you get poisoned and spend the night in the bathroom with vomiting and diarrhoea or you can even end up in hospital.

Absolutely terrible, ruined an otherwise perfect 26th wedding anniversary. We have been customers for over 5 years, but tonight the food was awful. Shredded beef was welded together in solid lumps, Lemon chicken was just raw batter inside & hardly any chicken ( totally inedible) and the lemon sauce was just pure lemon juice and water. Everything was cold and unpleasant. They have lost our business today. Save your money and shop elsewhere unless you want to be disappointed. Thank you to the owner for proving my point by replying to my review with two words "Talk Nonsense "! Appalling customer relations. The camera doesn't lie and neither do I. TERRIBLE FOOD.

'Fawlty Towers' levels of rudeness, without the comedy. After 10 visits and giving huge amounts of benefit of doubts, enough is enough. Having the lady who serves behind the counter ( once again ) turn her back and go into the kitchen whilst i am mid-sentence, is totally rude and unacceptable. Also, now i am cross enough to mention it... what normal, professionally run high street retail outlet in 2024 doesn't take card payments, only cash? Receipts aren't given either. I'm not saying they are up to something but [ redacted on legal advice ]

I really like the food from here. We order online and you are kept up to date with delivery. Food always hot and fresh.

Crab and sweetcorn soup with no crab but plenty of chicken in it. Smelt like it was barbecue soup. Special fried rice, that’s swimming in something not nice. Spent the redt of the night in the toilet. Save your money and buy a pot noodle if you must. Avoid this place

Food and price was very good. Service on phone and at counter was great. Messed up with part of my order..Sweet and sour chicken balls turned out to be king prawn. Fortunately my family and I love both. Food quality was very good indeed. Would i use again?... yes. For now at least. My usual go to has put prices up and dropped the ball on quality. Lets see where Shangri La takes me.

Excellent and authentic pizzas (and surprisingly good chips if you want them!). Offers an effectively unlimited combination of pizzas and the chef there will accommodate your request into a well balanced pizza (rather than shoving everything into a pile). Top class gelato and deserts too plus the arancini are worth a try too. Top marks and several leagues above the other pizza places in town.

Used to order delivery often years ago when I lived in Guildford, recently moved back and ordered again last night, the quality was just as good as remembered. Delicious food, a great option if you want authentic tasting pizza. We're excited to try the rest of the menu!

Wow what an amazing find!! So pleased to come across this super tasty Italian cuisine! An authentic Italian eatery in the lovely surroundings of scenic Guildford. A cosy restaurant with lovely decor and those authentic Italian vibes! Wonderful service from our server who was helpful, efficient and very friendly. The food is phenomenal. Real Italian food! We enjoyed the Margherita pizza, mushroom and cheese arancini and the chocolate cannolis! Soooo tasty. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in Guildford looking for real genuine Italian food, with a homely feel. I am looking forward to coming back and trying some more food and the coffees.

Fourth time pizza was delivered with topping slidded to one side and not sliced. Sliced option should be removed, as they never slice pizza as requested. Pizza is nice but very disappointing and off-putting.

This little place is fabulous. We were in Guildford for a short stay and stubbled upon this place by accident. The pizza was perfect. The service and how welcoming the lady who was working there made the dinner extra perfect with her kindness and was so thoughtful. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Love love love 💕

The worst ice cream I've tried in a long time. Overly sweet with strange taste. Also, the cannoli was terrible- it was soggy and the filling didn't have much flavour. Waste of money.

Back again to add my feedback regarding the Yummy Cannolo Siciliano 😍😍👌 A symphony of Sicilian taste and the hands from Sorrento who put so much passion and love into his kitchen in every cannolo. Loved the quality of the ingredients such Mozzarella in the Pizza .....such all the combination of Arancino with Mozzarella and Pistacchio 👌😋😋so tasty and Yummy....You could travel to the Chef's origin in Italy. After having lunch the Chef offer us a proper Italian Gelato al Pistacchio which the taste took me to Sicily 🇮🇹. If I have to describe more I wouldn't finish.....simple "You" must try!!! Before I left bought Siciliam Cannoli with Ricotta which i will review later one after trying them😁 I can't wait. Thank you Chef and Your lovely Wife for the warm hospitality.

Visited for the first time last night and was very impressed. We ordered at the automated screens, took a table number and sat in one of their comfortable booths to await delivery of our food. It was good value and only took around 5mins to arrive but you could tell it had been cooked fresh to order as it was piping hot which was amazing. So much better than lukewarm food you get from other fast food places. Taste was excellent- my husband really enjoyed his hot buffalo chicken sandwich meal with blue cheese dip, and I loved my chicken tenders meal with honey mustard dip and Texas toast! The skin on fries are also delicious, hot, well seasoned and actually taste like potato - just like they should. Loved that the drinks are free refills so when we left we topped up our cups and headed off to the cinema to watch a movie (and saved having to pay exorbitant cinema prices!!). Service was excellent from the friendly and efficient team so we will be coming back again! Thank you to all of the team 🙌

I was impressed with how fresh everything tasted. The chicken was cooked perfectly and not greasy at all. The Texas toast was a nice touch, and the milkshake was made with real ice cream (so good!). Staff were super friendly, and the restaurant was spotless. Worth every penny.

Always our go to as food is always so delicious. Today we had the lovely Aiswarya when we ordered on the tills and she was so helpful and kind and made for such a great customer experience even when we kept changing our order and being difficult. She has definitely made us love this place even more.

You know the saying 'a restaurant keeps its toilets as well as the kitchen?' Yeah. I would not like to see the kitchen. Also, the amount of explosive diahorrea in the bathroom suggests 2 of 3 people who come here get some level of food poisoning. My experience so far has been fine though. Very empty tables, very hot food, reasonably seasoned chips and lovely honey mustard dip.

Tonight was the WORST Slim Chickens experience I’ve ever had. The chicken tenders tasted like old tenders that were recooked in dirty old oil. The chicken was so tough to bite into from being reheated that I chipped my tooth. I could not eat the rest of my meal. I’m very disappointed. For somewhere that’s so expensive you expect better.

Never had a Wendy’s before and it was very good. Nice meaty burger. Great Bacon chips and tasty shakes

Food is high quality wayyy better than McDonald's. I got the 2 pound offer for a lettuce burger with 2 patties and bacon. The beef patties are thick and juicy and seasoned well. Just that the lettuce which was a substitute for the bun you only get two pieces. Kinda wish I had more, it's very thin.

I've been to another Wendy's location in Oxford, which was okay - nothing to write about. The Guildford location has become a regular visit since their opening. The service only seems to get better with each visit. Food is always well prepared and I've noticed that they are striving to speed up their prep times, especially when busy, but without sacrificing quality. They are also a lot better at keeping the restaurant tidy during peak hours. Again - great food, great service and attention to detail. Will be back!

Staff are super friendly and focused on their job. Place looks pretty clean and it's a large store. The staff follow very good hygiene as I can see waiting for my order wearing gloves, have hair net but no beard net haha. The Guildford store compared to Kingston is slightly older but still in good condition. Food seems good also.

We always come here and service is always good and quick and the food is always SOO good 💯 percent recommend.

The food was lovely and the customer service was even better. A lovely lady called Niamh helped us when the machine's wouldn't work and her customer service was one of the best I've ever experienced. The burger maker Parry was also great, making us one of the best burgers we've had here. All in all, lovely experience, thank you guys!

Great burger today, avocado and halloumi wrap was delicious, loved the kids meal discount via the app. The staff and manager at this branch know how to do customer service, real pleasure being there today. Big recommend from me!

Do not order from here it's low quality but high prices and i recently found out he pays his workers below minimum wage. The burgers are all frozen not fresh. The max pizza isn't the correct size either. My advice is steer clear and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I called the store a couple of times because my delivery was late, the person hung up on me mid sentence every time and swore at me after the third time I called. Worst customer service I’ve ever come across.

Ordered off of perfect pizza as 2 young girls. Home alone. Took longer than expected which was fine. We called to see where it was, person on the phone was rude and ended the call on us. Delivery driver turned up & smashed on the front room window’s… which as 2 girls home alone was scary. Opened the door and delivery driver proceeded to laugh in our faces and drop our food on the floor, not even hand it to the person who opened the door. Our drinks were missing, so we called them and asked if we could have our drinks or be refunded. The man on the phone laughed at us and told us they would send them out… We’ve waited an hour for our drinks and have yet to receive them. I will never be ordering from here again. The staff are so rude and belittling and don’t care for their customers needs. I would not recommend this place for takeaway & the people who work here need a course on people skills as well as kindness and respect.

Best burger van ever! Amazing freshly cooked food that is so tasty. You can customise the burgers with different sauces and things like onion and mushroom. The people who run the van are so friendly and helpful. I just wish we lived a bit closer so I could justify going there more!

Decent little burger van that is usually a better option than the Burger King that's 2 seconds away. My workmates go here maybe twice a month and it's always good. Chips sometimes need another couple of minutes in the fryer though, so maybe ask for them to be crispy if you don't want hot potato. This is only the case if you need to wait for chips though, if they are all ready then they're usually perfect.

After telling the cashier exactly what I wanted, I could tell he was busy and didn't seem to be listening to what I said, I then heard them talking to each other about my order and straight away knew that they got it wrong. So before they cooked it and wasted their time and money I tried to talk to the boss and inform him it was wrong but he sharply cut me off and embarrassed me infront of everyone else in the queue by telling me he was talking to his staff and will talk to me when he is finished. Looking back on it I should of let him waste his time energy and money while not saying nothing then rejected the food as it wasn't what i asked for. What a rude nasty little man. Food is nice but service is disgusting IM GOING TO WICKES BURGER VAN FROM NOW ON AND SUGGEST YOU GUYS DO THE SAME.. food is great and service is better.

Without a doubt, the best fish & chips in Guildford. Every time we've ordered food, it has been fresh and delicious, and the portion sizes are really great for the price. The fish has no unpleasant smell at all, and the chips are truly outstanding.

If you're wanting a classic fish and chips it is a great place to go. Not too expensive and you get a good portion. The food is freshly prepared and always manages to satisfy the fish and chips craving nicely.

I'm not picky, but this fish and chips ende up in the bin in the street outside the shop. The fish was swimming in old cooking oil and the chips weren't cooked. It seems everything was cooked in the same fryer. Impossible to eat without risking illness or indigestion.

Great little fish and chip shop. Really nice food and cheap prices. The sort of place that hasn’t changed in years, and when they are doing everything right I hope they don’t change any time soon. Nicely cooked cod in a crisp, light batter and well cooked chips. Neither were greasy, and good size portions. Small cod, chips and mushy peas cost £10.20. Highly recommended.

Would 100% recommend, cod was cooked to perfection and the chips nice and crispy, and the best of all is the generous portion sizes. This is really affordable too.

Always tasty, staff welcoming . Food cooked carefully and if you sit in to eat you are well cared for with complimentary yogurt and pita . Lovely .

I am so frustrated I paid £14.25 for the smallest portion ever, looks like someone leftover. I am 100% certain that someone took a bite out of the chicken. I had to throw the food away I’ve tried calling but no one answers the phone

Been a regular customer for quite some time now. But last 2 orders have been completed disappointing. Ordered 2 whole chicken and they were undercooked. Called to complain and asked for part refund but was told justeat had the money when it was paid by cash. Then they called me again to give them the food without any refund and on questioning their method I was swore on and called names. Today ordered a Wings meal and they charged me £6 for the tiniest wings they could find in guildford and upon informing them I was laughed at and was told it is what it is. I won’t order from them again and won’t suggest anyone given the customer service they provide. Absolutely Pathetic

Very poor customer service let this subway down. Be warned that they don't honour the deals and offers that they opt in on, happy for the extra business but unwilling to pay for it. Hygiene standards are also questionable, as their sandwiches seem harder on the stomach than other Subways.

I love Subway, but this store is not alright. The stuff was so rude, and I. Bought. More. Than. One. Item. And wanted to dine in, but the stuff said you can't eat here because I had a KFC bag with me. Disappointing

The staff are polite I am very particular customer (only because I know what I like) the new girl had to be reminded of changing her gloves, she was slow but I assume it’s because she is new and the English language can be difficult, the food is always nice and they have a good variety of fresh salads to choose from, only bug bear I really have is they have gotten rid of the chilli cheese! But that may be across all subways?

On a hot summer’s evening, the shop felt like an oven. There is an air conditioning unit but it was not turned on. The poor staff member wasn’t too friendly or helpful, and given the conditions, I can understand why. However, surprisingly and most unexpectedly, my two boys actually enjoyed the sub of the day (pizza pepperoni ingredients), and the sandwich is a balanced meal in itself. For that, I give it an ok. Otherwise, probably not.

The vegan meatball taste like expired, and the sauce tastes horrible. I had sweet chilli and taste rubbish ... I was eating in subway before with the sauce and mate the sauce in here looks like back in 1999! Avoid this shop!!!

Turned up at our house at 11pm with someone else's order. Banged on our door and rang doorbell several times waking us up. Then argued with us when we pointed out we hadn't ordered the pizza only for the driver to realise after several minutes he was at the wrong place. No apology just moved on. By all accounts the pizzas from there are pretty poor too so feel sorry for the intended recipient as they won't have had a good meal...

Terrible experience. They did not even bother delivering my pizza because I have a house name, and not a house number. When I called to check on the delivery, I was very rudely told off for putting an incomplete address, which I did not, and for having a wrong phone number, which I also did not do. In fact, shortly after the pizza was delivered I got a text from Just Eat saying that they were unable to contact me so clearly they had the right number this whole time. I was even berated for having written very precise instructions on how to find my house, saying that it was "not good enough" but there is no more detail I can give. The delivery driver was very nice but the worker on the phone was awful and I will never order from here again.

just ordered for the first time ever, tonight and i have to say that the pizza is delicious! I wanted a cheaper alternative to Dominoes and Pizza hut as Dominoes have screwed us around so much i refuse to order from them anymore and pizza hut I feel the pizzas aren't that great for the ludicrous prices. Thought I would give Red Planet a go and am so glad i did! Pizzas arrived within 45 minutes (respectable and realistic) piping hot and gorgeous. I ordered the medium deal which gives you two mediums for £14.99 which is amazing. The man on the phone was so polite and helpful too, the service was brilliant. Would highly recommend the Guildford branch :) very happy customer and no need to order from dominoes or pizza hut again!
