Tiny pizza spot with super-friendly staff (we had nice chats with the owner - english speaking - and his mother, who was enjoying a pizza too and really wanted to share it with our dog 😅). The vegan pizza with fried potato, artichoke cream, rosemary and pesto was super-yummy, the dough fluffy just how I like it! Unfortunately they only have single use plastic cups, cutlery and plates 🙁 Therefore we avoided using cups and cutlery, but had to use the paper-plates. Nevertheless really recommend this place, also for take away / delivery!

Great dough and toppings options, including vegetarian, seafood and dough made with chickpeas! Everything looks sustainable/ recyclable including their plate and cutlery which is great! The restaurant is small yet cozy. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They also have menu in English, if you need it!

Amazing pizza! Easily one of the best pizzas I‘ve ever had. Mine had guanciale, pecorino and red pesto on it - so so good. Local beer other than Ichnusa as well. Go try it out! 😋 Very welcoming service as well :)

You'd easily walk past this place, it's a small pizza takeaway with a few seats like hundreds of others around here, but you'd miss out on the amazingly good 48hr sourdough pizzas with local ingredients (mine was some kind of sheep sausage and blue cheese) and the fridge with Sardinian craft beer! They have a bigger place about 5km away with beer on tap but that's not happening this time, so I made do with this and really glad I did! Guy serving was chatty and knew about the beers and where they were from plus recommended a great pizza, very happy all round with Grains!

This place is so amazing, everyday we tried new pizzas and they were all so delicious. The place owners are so creative and lovely! We went to Sardinia to try different restaurants and we ended up acting like locals and eating here every evening! AMAZING!

If you want to eat something local and delicious, you have to come here. Is absolutely worth it. I strongly recommend to call and order cause they are always super busy. Or arrive super early. They were very friendly.

Their pizza dough is just perfect. I’ve been trying to find delicious pizza in Sardegna for 2 weeks and finally this is it! Resetvation was necessary (Saturday).

It was really good! Today we got the best pizza here that we have eaten so far. One with Angus beef and truffles and then another pizza with Burrata cheese and shrimp. The dough and the crust super fluffy, airy and yet crispy. All ingredients super fresh and the taste a revelation. This is how pizza should be! The atmosphere in the restaurant is lively and cozy. Make a reservation because it's usually fully booked here. Many thanks to the cool and friendly team of "Locanda Sa Matracca Cagliari" for this great experience. 5 stars because you're doing an amazing job!

As I was walking at the town of cagliari with my girlfriend I met this little pizzeria. We were hungry enough and have not eaten all day so we entered immediately. As a fact it was a pizza paradise. We ate the best pizza napoli style. More specifically, we tried bixinau pizza which was enough of a combination (such combo I have never met again and I am a food lover). However, we also tried other pizzas such as napoli, nuova stampace and buffala which made us mouthwatering fully. Last but not least, the staff was the kindest that we met in Sardinia. When we will come again we will pay a visit at this pizzeria of course. Until then keep up the good work!

I totally recommend the Locanda Sa Matracca in Cagliari ☺️ Both pizzas were super delicious! You can choose your doe between thin and crunchy or thick and fluffy - we take the crunchy variant and it was the best pizza we ever had 😊 From our experience in Sardinia, the price for a pizza is here a bit higher than usual but it’s absolutely worth it ❤️

We loved the food! The vegan pizza with the pistachio pesto and soy mozzarella and caramelised onions was delicious. The vegan dessert (chocolate crumble and coconut milk) was like a vegan creme brulee with a chocolate crumble surprise underneath. I'll be craving that for months! The staff were also really lovely.

Might be the best pizza we had during the week we stayed in Cagliari 🔥🔥 We took 3 pizzas with the napoletan dought (for 2 people 😂). They're very light and flavourful, exceptional dough and ingredients. Also the ambient is very nice, and so is the service 😊. 1000% recommended.

Overall very cute place with some seats outside the little street which makes experience more pretty , We decided to go for Pizza (of course ) which ended up being very different to what we know (very thin dough) but also very tasty with good quality ingredients, we went also for a starter of Smoked fish platter with nice variety of raw smoked fish meat , definitely recommend if you like sushi Overall and raw meat. Not recommended. "Antipasti" was an assortment of frozen Asian and middle Eastern food. The spaghetti were clearly undercooked, not "al-dente" (yes, I do know the difference). The Pizza Vegetariana was the worst of our orders. It had old, brown salad on top as well as strange tasting cheese and the dough was very dry.

Loved the staff at that place. During our dinner we had to leave for a minute and there was no problem to heat our food when we got back. The dough in the pizza is very thin and the pieces of meat on my boscaiola were too big in my opinion. Maybe I don’t recommend this pizza, but my friends were more satisfied with their choices so it’s worth to give this place a chance:) Coperto in this place is 2,5€

Went L’oca Bianca with work colleagues. It’s a nice restaurant in Via Napoli. Ive been there before as well and have always been satisfied. They have decent number of vegetarian options and were flexible with altering their recipes for vegetarian needs. They also serve gluten free food. I ordered ricotta and pomodorini pizza (originally ricotta and bottega) absolutely loved their ricotta cheese, highly recommended! I also ordered Greek salad, which was good too. The staff was very kind and timely. Bathrooms are clean. The ambiance is very trendy and catchy. Definitely recommend the place.

They don’t always get it right but overall still my favourite pizza in Cagliari. It it’s the right season, do yourself a favour and have the pizza with bottarga and fresh artichokes. Other dishes are good too, but pizza is the star here. I wish they had a more interesting beer selection, especially considering how many craft breweries there are these days in Sardinia.

This cozy restaurant was recommended to me during my holidays in Cagliari. I arrived without any reservation 1 hour before closing. It was perfectly fine in terms of having enough time to order and to eat. Very friendly, quick and attentive service. There so many dishes I wanted to try! :) As a starter, I ordered the bread with paté de olivas and then Farfalle cremosa di scampi. No long waiting time. The food was delicious! :) According to my opin, the beverages were slightly expensive, but I assume that this is quite normal nowadays.

Updated review following further visits during subsequent holidays . Always worth booking in advance as it does get busy. Lovely serving staff, great food and reasonably priced. Perhaps our first visit was an anomaly.. Overall very enjoyable and worth a visit. As casual walk-in customers we were greeted by an exceedingly rude front of house lady who, despite me asking in italian if we could have a table for two and explaining that I didn’t speak italian in italian, proceeded to point at a table, dumped a pair of menus on the table and scowled off back to her booth. We sat down a little taken aback and were definitely considering walking straight back out. Since we were hungry we decided to stay as it was becoming busier by the moment. Our waitress was amenable enough and our order of two pizzas and a mezzos of red and white wine arrived shortly afterwards . Pizzas were thin, crisp and tasty, and the wine at 5€ per jug was more than palatable. Two stars off for the appalling introduction.

Super cozy atmosphere and delicious food! the staff was very cool and professional, did their best to accommodate our requests. We reserved a table for us in advance and that can be a good idea, because it was packed. A good indicator for a good and popular place is exactly that. I can't remember whether they had music or npt, because the 11 of us were busy chatting, but it was a very lively and good atmosphere all around the place.

Located on a strip of other beautiful local restaurants and bistros, this spot is a must-try in Cagliari. We had the fresh salad and the oliveira pizza, which had a savory olive paste, fresh pecorino, and preserved lemon. Service was top-notch and attentive, prices are incredible for the quality, location is convenient (although pretty busy in the summer, so try to visit in the spring), and the food, as mentioned, is outstanding.

At Framento, we ordered a Margherita (€8.50) and a Capricciosa (€13) — both visible in the photos below. The pizzas had an average taste and were a bit too burnt for our preference, so I would give them a 3-star rating. One strange thing was that the menu didn’t include a basic pizza with just ham and cheese. A good thing, however, is that the pizzeria was open between 3 PM and 6 PM, while most other restaurants in the area only open from 6 or 7 PM onwards. We paid between €10 and €20 per person.

Traveling 1st time from Australia - We fell in love with their extra light pizza bases a recipe that has been in the family kitchen a very long time. The toppings were simple and so tasty we couldn't get over how sweet the tomatoes were on the pizza margherita -The oliveira pizza with thinly sliced lemon and local capers was a favourite too. Highly recommend Framento for its friendly service, home-style menu and beautiful atmosphere

The pizza (Sarda) was delicious, but small. The cheese and ham plate were not what we expected - it was only cheese + bread & ham + bread, nothing else added.

Framento makes some of the best pizza we had in Cagliari. We went twice and both times the food was excellent, especially the Sarda pizza, which was full of bold, local flavors. The first time we sat on the rooftop, which has a great atmosphere, nice music, a beautiful sunset, but we felt really rushed by the staff, even though the food took a long time to arrive. That part was disappointing. Thankfully, the pizza totally delivered when it finally came, and our second visit was much smoother all around. No rushing, same delicious food. It’s a popular spot, and for good reason. Just be prepared for a wait, and try to grab a rooftop table if you can.

Pizza it’s the main plate on the menu. I ordered a Napolitano pizza, very simple but very tasty. They have a good variety. IG account shows orientative picture of the pizzas, if they mention the name of each one could be easier. Regarding drinks, I ordered a Pinot Grigio, and in my opinion wine selection could improve. Staff was friendly and service was good. The place was clean. I definitely recommend the place to have a quiet evening eating pizza around the place.

Interesting pizzas on thin crust. The #14 (parma, figs, yellow tomato’s) is just awesome. While #15 (prawns with cocoa) - a bit too sweet, like you eat pizza-tiramisu. If you’re brave enough - give it a try.

Best pizza in the town, i’ve never tasted better, the dough was super soft, fresh ingredients. Try the gourmet, truffle one (Madame) - simply incredible. Staff was super helpful even we arrived 10minutes before opening.

Best Pizza in town 😋 I recommend to make a reservation prior to your visit as the restaurant is always full. We arrived there an hour before they are closing and we had to wait for 10 minutes or so to sit. The staff are friendly and can speak English.🤩🤩 Over all we are satisfied. Food was superb, fresh from the stone oven to table. She is my lovely step daughter enjoying her Margherita🤤🍕🍕 and I had Napoli, I love salty anchovies. 😁😊

Wow wow wow. We stumbled across this place as we had a holiday home.nearby and couldn't be bothered to trek into the city, and we are very happy that we did. A combination of great service, beautiful decor and gorgeous food made the evening really something special for us. My wife had a very nice fresh salad and I tried my very first horse-meat on a pizza which was recommended by the superb waiter and it was......well......WOW. Give this place a go it is .......WOW!

The pizza was good, but I was surprised by the high prices for beer on tap. A 0.4 litre draft cost €7, which I think is too expensive. You can get a smaller bottle (0.33 litre) for only €3.50. 🤷‍♂️ The waiters were friendly, but the atmosphere wasn't very enjoyable. Even though the restaurant was only half full, it was very noisy and got a bit unbearable after a while.

We went to eat a pizza after a day at the beach. I pleasantly found a Czech on tap and the pizza was really good. They have many special gourmet flavors with a nice and "gaggio" menù. The waiter really nice and the service really fast. We will definitely come back to wow!

A plant pot nearly fell on the head of a customer at the next table... But the food was good, especially the Tiramisu and the Margherita Pizza. Waitresses need better training to understand some basic things such as coming to the tables or looking around, offering ice with a drink that isn't cold at all and so on.. also the woman at the till didn't know which way to put a credit card into the machine. In fact, she didn't even know which table was which and generally had no clue what was going on. Like I said, food was good. Probably best to get a take-away?

Not so amused. The place is actually quite nice but my pizza was not good in many ways. There was stuff (greens or mushrooms, could not even recognize it) that definethly came out of a can on my pizza and it tastend quite bad. The mozzarella slice where wayy too tick and not spreaded enough. The bottom was burned on 1 side and soft on the other side. Next to that there was too much proscuitto and it had been adder after baking which didnt make it better. All just little mistakes but I would have swapped the end result for a good freezer pizza any day. I did like the size of the pizza. But the quallity was below par. After that we needed to wait more then 15-20 min in order to pay. We took matters into our own hand and went to the bar ourselves. Too be honest, the garden area of the bar is nice and the people are okey. But the quallity of the pizza and the wait where really below my expectation.

Very nice, locals love this place too. I was brought here several times by my Sardinian colleagues. Very good pizzas. You can also ask for a cheese filling (pecorino or a lighter cheese) on the corner of the pizza.

The pizzas are really good with fresh ingredients and perfect neapolitan dough. You should definitely book a table in advance if you want to have dinner there, as the restaurant is quite small and without a reservation they can only offer you a small table in the front room at the counter. The staff is friendly but they do not speak any english, so be prepared to practice your italian small talk vocabulary.

AMAZING PIZZA! Opens at 8pm and gets busy reasonable quickly but a speedy turn around. fast and helpful service. Some staff members speak English also which is helpful. Prices around €8-12 and one pizza is more than enough!

If you like Italian pizza, this is the place. Everyone was very friendly and the place was packed. Order your own pizza, and you can have them add more or different cheese (goat, mozzarella, ect.) if needed. We drank a lot of wine & beer, but the bill was very reasonable. They have one room, where we were seated, with very long tables for large parties. Make a reservation especially if you have a larger party. The fries were a great appetizer too!!

We have found this pizza place from Google suggestions and it wasn't wrong. This is the best pizza I had and I really like good quality pizza. The ingredients so fresh and so tasty. We are a couple of romanians coming from Uk for a holiday and we can confirm we were mesmerised. This Sardinian style pizza is so delicious and different from everything. If you are a tourist and looking for a good place to have dinner and try authentic pizza come here! The price is fair and the quality is 100%. I do recommend this place!!

Pizza here is delicious, with fresh ingredients from Sardinia. The staff Is efficient and the space is very nice. It's great to try pizzas that's are different from the usual. The chips from Quartu and the stracciatella are a definite highlight. Will come back!

The best pizza I had in Cagliari (and I tried about 4!). The host and chef was so calming in his delivery and I had a wonderfully relaxed evening. The pizzas were so good, I had two! It’s worth booking ahead of time I saw someone have to sit outside for about 30 minutes before they could enter. But it’s worth the wait.

We first tried the pizza as take-away and couldn’t stop thinking about how delicious it was. This time, we had the chance to enjoy it fresh in the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant — and honestly, we were blown away! That tomato sauce isn’t just an ingredient, it’s a masterpiece. This pizzeria was right next to my Airbnb, and I had already planned to try it before even arriving in Cagliari. I was definitely not disappointed! The pizza was truly delicious, and you can tell the chef puts care and attention into making it. It was so good that I didn’t even manage to take a picture before digging in. Our boat skipper recommended this place to us and we went twice on our trip! We had to go back because it was that yummy. I would recommend making a reservation inside because on a hot day the AC was so nice. The outside patio is nice too. They’re more known for their pizzas, my sister got the prosciutto and said it was the best she had ever had. She tends to be dramatic but it did look pretty tasty! She also had the cold pasta for breakfast the next day. This was an odd choice but to each their own! I guess it was that good. The sourdough is my favorite part. Mmmm exactly the way bread should be.

We sat outside, at the square and it was perfect. The inside area is much larger, so beautiful as well! We were staying at the block and been there 3 times in a 5 days stay. Pasta was beyond and the pizza sarda, mamma mia!! Couldn’t recommend this place better.

Only point that we could not find some recommended dish in maps reviews because they told us their menu is changed. I did not like the dessert, it was not bad but not my taste. We came here for our last night in Cagliari and were absolutely amazed by the entire experience! First of all the location was absolutely stunning with the perfect view and such a lovely surrounding. Second of all the staff was really nice and friendly and very welcoming, we were there way too earlier and even tho we were there like 20 minutes early we immediately got our table even during busy hours. Last but not least the food and also the drinks were absolutely amazing! Each of us had a different pizza and non of them failed to amaze us! Also the cocktails very interesting but incredibly delicious. So all in all I’d definitely recommended checking out this place when in Cagliari! :)

I had a terrible experience at this pizzeria. I found live insects in my dish ( as in the pixtures), and when I pointed it out, the staff initially brushed it off as "normal." It wasn’t until I had already eaten half of the pizza that they finally realized the seriousness of the issue. To make matters worse, my vegetarian neighboor received a pizza with meat on it, despite being told it was meat-free. The lack of professionalism and care was shocking, and I won’t be returning. They booked us in for a 225 euros per person New Year's Eve evening with a sizeable deposit that we payed beforehand. A 6-course meal was planned with a toast at midnight with local sparking wine and panettone. We arrived at 8:30PM and it started out well: we had our amuse-bouche and some drinks. But then nothing else for 2 HOURS... Needless to say we didn't get out Primi before midnight and ended up eating the Main dish past 1AM and took the dessert to go. When we did get our food, the waiting staff seemed utterly confused, bring out the dishes in the wrong order and to the wrong tables as some guests got the same dish twice. The plates had the sauces smudged with waiters' fingerprints on the edges and my wine glass was cracked and the replacement one had sticky residue on the bottom. I will say that the food itself was good, but unfortunately it doesn't quite sit right when you have waited for it for 2 hours. The waiting staff and the maitre d' were arguing and bickering by the tables throughout this whole SNL sketch level of chaos. When we explained that this was not what we were expecting, the host offered us a discount and was apologetic, but this will certainly not make up for ruining a significant portion of such a special evening. As this was a special holiday in Cagliari for me and my boyfriend and our first NYE together, we wanted to treat ourselves with a nice fancy evening that was certainly not within our usual budget. OMG!!! It is foodorgasm 😋...If you want real Italian Pizza surrounded by locals in simple but cozy atmosphere this is the place to be. It is take away but in front of the location you find plastic tables and chairs but I promise this is the place to be 🥰

Second time staying at Palazzo Doglio. We had good memories the first time so we returned. The service is still very good (esp front desk and concierge) we appreciate the help given by Gianluca and colleagues for dental, hair saloon recommendations and booking appointments. Restaurant stuff (especially Giorgia) is full of smiles and attentive. The lady masseur is good. Highly recommend. Now the negatives - the hardware is starting to break down somewhat. The room phones don’t work, Aircon cannot be controlled or turned off … The restaurant food is hit and miss. We had the fregola which was good but the Ombrina (fish) came rock hard. Told the manager and they “recooked” another fillet which was more tender but the inside was raw. I had diarrhea after.

One of the best hotels in town. The elegance of this hotel together with the facilities and service are amazing. The location is also good and there are many options in the palazzo for shops and restaurants. There are some improvement points for the hotel though. The air conditioner in the room was not managed from the room, the temperature was too low and we couldn’t turn it off or change it. We had to contact with the reception and requested to turn it off completely which was not the ideal option but we didn’t have any. Either too cold with airco or too warm without air conditioner. The isolation of the room was terrible. Not between the rooms but through the door to the corridor. There was a gap on the door since it is not sealed well and even you can see the light coming from the outside of the room while sleeping. When the people talk and walk on the corridor you will hear the voices as if they are in the room. Every night I woke up in the middle of night because of these kind of noise. Lastly, even though we gave our plate number of the car for the registration of the park, the door didn’t automatically open and we had to call the reception every time when we want to enter to park and leave with our car. These are the improvement points that this level of hotel can take and provide even better service.

Excellent location and Service. Great place to stay while in Cagliari (small, and nice walk to old town). Rooms are clean, breakfast extremely good and very goods restaurants in the courtyard and close by. Lorenzo in the Reception was always helpful and friendly.

Apart from being one of the best appointed hotels I've stayed at the staff are fantastic. They remember and pay attention to the little details that make a temporary stay feel like family. A special shoutout to my room attendant Sandra who chattered away and managed to cross our language barrier with mime.

A true city attraction and a place full of charm. Spotlessly clean with exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. The modern gym is equipped with brand‑new equipment, and the beautiful courtyard offers several restaurants and bars to suit every taste – an outstanding hotel!

Disappointing service and misleading room service information I was very disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Booking sites list the property as offering 24-hour room service, and the in-room QR code menu clearly suggests that food can be ordered at any time. However, when I attempted to order food at around 11:30 pm on 2nd October, I was informed that only drinks were available. When I raised this with a manager, he was dismissive rather than helpful. Eventually, they agreed to send a club sandwich with fries, but when the food arrived it was cold. For a property that positions itself as a high-end luxury hotel, the service levels and staff attitude fell well below expectations. At the very least, the hotel should ensure that its advertised services accurately reflect what guests can actually expect during their stay.

I booked a 3 night stay as a birthday gift for my mum + dad. The positive reviews & fantastic website convinced me: Palazzo Doglio is the right choice for their first time in Sardegna. And YES the team did not dissappoint! My parents were blown away from the moment they entered the hotel: they arrived early in the morning & got invited for breakfast - their room was ready a few minutes later. They loved the breakfast & the kind staff, their spacious room with balcony. Being not with them I was a bit anxious but the front desk team did an outstanding job!
